Random Obscure Things You Can’t Do with a Tongue Piercing:

I made this list for fun, but who knows, maybe it’ll be useful for fellow writers or anyone weighing the pros and cons of getting a tongue piercing...

1. Play poison dart frog :(

2. Blow bubbles with bubble gum

3. Lick a beater (doable, but that mfer gets caught on all the prongs)

4. Stick your tongue out at people (normally), or do so without looking like a fool. I used to do it habitually, it was like a whole thing, but it becomes much harder cause you have to allow room for the piercing to pass through your teeth as well, and its much less forgiving than a squishy tongue.

5. Get hairs from your mouth easily? Idk. It gets wrapped around the stem and for some reason they’re just really hard to pull off.

6. Have normal levels of spit. I’ve never in my life had issues with producing too much saliva but I do now. Drooling becomes wayyy too easy and I spit while talking on accident. I don’t think this happens to everyone, but it’s a known thing.

7. Lick/eat popsicles and ice cream bars easily. It can hurt when it gets super cold, and also gets caught on things. This subsides the longer you have it, and might also only apply to people who are more sensitive. Like my teeth? Cannot handle the cold, so naturally my tongue struggles too. Easy way around it - just use your lips instead but it’s still not the same as before (and this doesn’t apply to ice cream biters... you heathens)

8. Keep your tongue in your mouth! (Jokes) It’s addicting to play with, and for someone like me who can’t help but fidget, I often play with the piercing without even noticing.

9. Blow raspberries (might be possible depending on placement)

10. Kiss without it hitting the other persons teeth. It made for a very strange first kiss imo, but it becomes easier with practice.

11. Do tongue tricks.... so sad my skills have gone to waste. Hot dog is about all I can do now, but once upon a time I could do clover, 180°, spoon, and the s-shaped one.

12. Be seen as a prude. A lot of people jump to the dirty side once they see it, but not all!

13. Make the waterdrop sound with your mouth. Another one that’s kind of doable, but really difficult. Used to be able to do it and impress people but alas no longer

14. It can be uncomfortable to lick something solid? Not that you ever do that much anyways... but like, say you lick someone’s arm or a wall or something - it’s much more likely to drag along the surface, and it tugs a little. It doesn’t hurt, just not super comfy. Squishy things are fine tho lol

15. Same idea as no.14, but licking things that aren’t very lickable is also very uncomfortable, even more so than solid things. Like blankets, fabric, paper... you get my drift. And yes, this is tried and tested. You’re welcome.

16. Always be 105% comfortable with the piercing. You get used to it, and barely even notice it most of the time, BUT, and it’s a big but, every once in a while it can feel so overwhelming. Like, if I’m overstimulated, half the time my body pinpoints on it, since its always in my mouth. There have been times I’ve wanted to rip it out because I was so overwhelmed, but of course as soon as I calm down, it feels fine again.

17. Eat super sticky things. It’s fine for the most part, but can get tricky. I have a hard time with Starbursts – they like to wrap around the piercing stem, which is hard to deal with! Jolly Ranchers are also more difficult, as the piercing sticks to the candy and then gets pulled when it moves.

This weeks snippet is from How Dare You Want Me chapter 2- Henry POV of the events until Alex’s unfortunate tweet mishap 💀

Henry has a colossal, enormous, unrelenting crush on the Son of the President of the United States ever since they met at the Rio Olympics.

Being a gay Prince, the closet comes with the territory. It is golden gilded and ornate and ancient - having been a forced coffin for many before Henry. He has known there is no other way than maintaining the royal image for him since before he knew he was gay. Yet, through all of these, he didn’t take mouthy Americans with chin dimples into consideration.

TWST story idea (8)

Inspired by a certain beast tamer Yuu post from a long time ago. Can't remember the name, sorry.

Yuu got called a beast tamer, but the only beast they have is Grim. Comparing to Kalim, who has a whole zoo, and Rook the Hunter, who has tendencies to attract animals, as well as Riddle with his hedgehogs and flamingos, the title beast tamer should have been handed to either three of them instead of Yuu.

It was a joke. Yuu knew it the moment Crowley called them a beast tamer, perhaps to flatter them into accepting a job or something, but no matter, Yuu is a joke in everyone's eyes.

Yuu is getting sick of getting asked if they have any animals or why they are called a beast tamer and so on. They don't know how to answer those, even if they do, it's not like it's going to improve their situation anyway.

Pissed off and feeling very petty, Yuu decided to tackle this the only way they know how. All those games are not for nothing, and Yuu ks going to put it to good use. Yuu is prepared for this. The time has come, and Yuu will not stand still when they are questioned again.

Yuu is gonna catch 'em all!

Yuu immediately goes on an adventure to snatch some monsters in the wilderness, and what do you know? Yuu is really a beast tamer. The monsters they brought home speak volumes.

"What's that? Oh, I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you over the purring of my gigantic chimera right next to me. Simply put, f*ck off!"

"How did I find Cerberus? I rowed myself to the underworld, you f*cker! Don't you dare call him fake! Go eat him, Cerby!"

"Oh damn. My phoenix set someone on fire. Hey, hey! It's going to be alright, I heard the phoenix is a bird of rebirth. You're going to be fine."

"Yes, I have a griffin, yes, I have a unicorn, a pegasus, a basilisk, and also yes, I have a bunch of normal animals too. You know what I don't have? Thaumarks. Pay up, b*tch. I need to feed my babies."

It goes without fail that a different beast will accompany Yuu and Grim to class, and due to this, it's not that easy to approach Yuu anymore. The beasts are effective bodyguards. There are no more jokes about a beast tamer; Yuu is the real deal now.

The boys could go deal with school and overblots; Yuu is gonna do the equivalent of farm life in the ramshackle dorm.

A different outlook would be instead of taming beasts, Yuu tamed people instead. Yuu is getting sick of these rude people so they decided to make the bullies their 'pet'.

Savanaclaw is the first victim since most unruly and undisciplined students came from here. Since this is a dorm filled with beastmen, naturally, power rules the weak is a norm.

Yuu did something that straight-up made the Savanaclaw students docile and obedient through incredible violence, harsh discipline, and volcano-like anger. The students that followed Yuu were either full of simps or simply out of fear or respect.

Second would be Diasomnia and Yuu obtain them without lifting a finger, believe it or not. Malleus is already wrapped around Yuu's finger since the beginning, if the respected housewarden and heir to the Briar Valley is like this, it only prompted the others to follow Yuu as well. They will treat Yuu like royalty. Simply put, Yuu got the whole package without asking.

ONE THOUSAND YEARS JAIL FOR TCW WRITERS for getting that absolutely GOLDEN layup in AotC and then NOT doing jack fuck with Dooku. They looked right at Christopher Lee's deliberately nuanced portrayal in that movie (within the script's and direction's limitations which were indeed very limiting. Have I ever mentioned that George wasn't too good at writing Dooku either?) and did NOTHING. They made him a Saturday evening cartoon guy in the Saturday evening cartoon and I am inconsolable

I cannot get over how they squandered his potential!! And Asajj's by extension, too. And why do I have to cling to CW 03 for any screentime of them both even just existing in the same room? Like genuinely do we ever see them physically next to each other? They're supposed to be master and apprentice bro something went terribly wrong here!!

Also to bend this back to the fandom and to beat a dead bloated decomposing horse: Obi-Wan. Novels have been written about his fanon alter-ego so I'll just say that most people actually write him just fine until any type of relationship emerges! Ppl want to swaddle this spiritual master and veteran shock formation leader in a blanket so bad they gotta nerf him to hell so someone can take loving care of the shadow of his former self lmao

Can I take a wild swing at your Childhood friends AU?

I've had a few people reach out and ask if they can write stuff about that AU (or just straight up say they're going to take it without asking, haha..) so I'm gonna answer this one publicly as a blanket answer that's basically "yes"!

I don't own the concept of a childhood friends AU and I'm sure I'm not the first person to think about Usopp & Sanji meeting when they were young, so already I don't feel right telling people they can't take inspo from my AU. And also, I'd love to read more people's takes and interpretations on this AU and sanuso in general!

Sometimes I can be precious about my concepts in case I'd like to work them into my own comics/stories but I think this one is fair game! If you take direct inspiration from my work in your fic then I would appreciate credit/a link back, but like I said, I can't really claim ownership over such a broad concept.

Let me know if you publish it though so I can read it!
