SHE'S TOUCHING HIS SHOULDER!!

Oh mah gawd. He doesn't let anyone touch him unless they're his friends.

If they aren't his friends, he'll either lean away or wipe off his hand. He hates being touched if he's not the one initiating it, to the point of wiping his sleeve off when Lucifer's hat just BARELY grazed against it.

He didn't wipe his shoulder off when Charlie stopped touching him either.

AND!!!

And!!!

Before You Say 'He did lean away', or 'She wasnt actually touching him, her hand was just near him', Take A Look At This!!

Look closely at how he moves when she splits them up. He doesn't lean away, she SHOVED him. She actively MOVED him. That wasn't an 'oh she's making contact with me, guess I should lean away', it was a 'well she's shoving me now, I'll shut up for a minute'.

Which also proves she WAS touching him. She couldn't have shoved him if she wasn't making contact.

He didn't lean away from it, he didn't retaliate. The ONLY people he lets touch him are people he cares for. And not only did she put her hand on his shoulder, she actively pushed him back, and he showed no sign of discomfort towards it. So why am I screaming about this?

Because he DOES care! It proves he cares for her. Don't get me wrong, I still think saying he's her 'dad' is a bit of a strech, but he does care enough to let her touch him. He doesn't dislike or even have a neutral opinion on her. She's his friend, even if just a little bit.

Just an edit to clarify; I know 'friends' is probably also not the best word to use, but it's just the easiest way for me to describe it.

I just know Shifty would love getting to personally meet the voices.

They were born out of a need for change and adaptability within the construct, after all, and are what molded her vessels, she’d love getting to know more of their unique perspectives.

Some random details about Stars of a Feather

low quality ass picture lol The MC's wing-ears will sometimes emote along with their emotions. For example they might flap when excited, or fold in when frightened. They will also expand and flap just as the other pair would, although they are almost entirely useless in actual flight. Y/N is a fairly level headed person, though they enjoy a little risktaking and new scenery every now and again. They can be skeptic, but are incredibly caring- And try to see the best in most situations.

Luckily for people like sun, excess wings can oftentimes be tucked away. If they're small enough, people will sometimes just stuff them beneath their clothes. As having 6 wings, as you can imagine for Sun, might get a bit clunky in crowded places. But this also varies on the person's ability and control of their own wings. Sun is a very cheerful, and outgoing individual. He is still as bubbly as you imagine him to be, but more down to earth... Ironic as that is. He can get pretty nervous and flustered pretty quickly though.

Unfortunately for Moon, his wings are broken. Meaning as of now, he cannot fly- And when the MC first meets him, he is barely able to feel or control them at all. This usually causes them to hang limp, or wobbly-flap when he's subconsciously wishing to take off. But the broken wings makes it difficult for him to fold them up either. Moon is fairly aloof, the opposite of his sunnier counterpart. He finds insecurity in his wings, and his inability to fly. He's very adverse to risk taking. He's kind, even if his stature doesn't seem that way.

law mimicking corazon’s powers is so sweet and yet so tragic. it’s as if he cannot move forward without taking an aspect of corazon with him. throughout this arc it felt like he was gathering up courage to go back out into the world with a purpose this time.

the feathers, the red poneglyphs, and now the silence ability. finding the reason for the will of D is his goal now, he wants answers. he wants to be able to sleep at night.

i know we talk a lot about the isolation of chronic illness and disability, but i really don't think ablebodied folk get it.

i have made one new friend in person since graduating highschool in 2020. she is my housemate's girlfriend. she stays over frequently, and the only reason we are friends is because she stays over and we have shared university papers. i would not have had the opportunity to befriend her otherwise. that is in the space of three years.

i don't go out much. i cannot guarantee that i will leave my house within any given week. technically i have class i need to go to twice a week for an hour, but those moments aren't time for friends, they're time for classwork and i don't interact with people in a social capacity there.

i simply do not get the opportunity to meet people.

i cannot go out with friends and meet new people that way, because my social circle is already so small, and i don't have the energy to go out half the time anyway. when i do, i suffer for it later.

i don't meet people on campus because i'm immuno-compromised, and ableds seem to have forgotten that we are still in a pandemic.

i don't go to clubs or go out for the sake of going out because i can't. i've grown agoraphobic, because i am so worried that something health related will happen and i'll get stuck somewhere alone. i hate leaving the house because of the guarantee of an anxiety attack which leaves my body more likely to flare. it's a vicious cycle of isolation.

i am not the only one who has experienced this -- i can still leave the house, i can still go and visit friends with assistance. i struggle, but at the end of the day, it's still an option. there are others who are completely isolated.

the worst of it is that people leave. people get tired of the 'i can't come, i'm sorry', of the 'hey, i'm sick, can we postpone?'. even people who you love and hold dearly will stop trying. and it's awful. you have to sit and watch these people who you love walk away because they can't deal with your disability. i don't have words to describe how much that hurts.

it really is impossible for ablebodied people to understand, because for the majority of us, this isn't temporary. this is just how we have to live. and your social circle can only really get smaller.

Candace Flynn in Nerds of a Feather. The way she spends the entire episode explicitly terrified of anyone finding out about her secret then happily reveals herself at the end. The way she worries about everyone thinking she likes kid stuff then, when they do laugh at her for it, she basically says "eh, them's the breaks." The way she flees from Suzy Johnson the whole episode and then tells her "Ducky Momo loves you too, Suzy" at the end.

Correct me if I'm wrong but up until this episode, we don't see Ducky Momo mentioned at all. Afterwards, Candace is apparently comfortable enough to bring her Ducky Momo plush into public sight and hunt for a Ducky Momo collectible at a flea market (although she half-heartedly pretends it isn't for her) and go to a public screening of a Ducky Momo movie (although when Vanessa catches her she pretends it's ironic).

Candace is a nervous wreck in a lot of ways but it's nice to see her grow (mostly) out of insecurity over liking "kid stuff". You go, girl.

OKAY!

So it's still in it's infancy right now, but the idea is that Bruce is a Backrooms entity who sometimes wanders the darker areas of other levels. It's the equivalent of him going on a walk whenever Alfred tells him to go outside.

The batkids are wanderers, specifically kids who have no-clipped into the backrooms and into various levels at various times. Actually have a lil blurb of Bruce's behavior according to other wanderers

"While normally neutral towards any wanderers and a majority of other entities, it will become hostile the moment it is attacked. Batman will not become hostile immediately if aggression is shown, and may be made to retreat to darker areas if there are too many aggressors present." "If you see it wandering it is best to stay out of its way. Only approach if you are in danger or another entity is pursuing you. Most entities will avoid entity (??) if they can and may stop pursuing you." "A different behavior is noted towards those under the age of eighteen (though may be up to nineteen) who are not with a group. If it spots an unattended minor, it will purposely approach, even in an area with large amounts of light, and attempt to coax the child closer." "It will then pick the child up, and retreat into the shadows, after which it may not be seen for months at a time. It is unknown what happens to the child."

Now what happens is Bruce sees a child, either actively in danger or all alone, and gently coaxes them over where he can make sure they're safe. And well, most levels are definitely not, so he'll pick them up and use the shadows to slip back to his home level. Which is pretty much Gotham, with two sublevels. One which is the manor, but very liminal and actively shifting around and is straight up controlled by Alfred, who is also an entity. Just one that looks completely human. But is immortal. The other sublevel is pretty much the Batcave systems and has so many exits to so many different levels.

But he'll bring them home to the manor. And well, it's the Backrooms, chances are they don't exactly have a caretaker. So he just kind of... takes them in.

But again, it's the Backrooms. People become entities. Hounds if they get bit, Wretches if they get too exhausted and starved and dehydrated. That's not exactly the case on Level G and it's sublevels.

Not that Alfred would ever let any of his wards be anything but well fed and rested.

So the children usually don't exactly stay human, just like how Bruce didn't stay human when he first fell down into the levels. It isn't exactly noticeable to them at first, but it happens.

And well, again, the backrooms aren't exactly safe, nor are there easy access to food or water, while with Bruce and Alfred there is. They get three meals a day, alongside snacks whenever, and their own rooms, and Bruce brings them knickknacks from other levels too! So why would they want to leave?

Though again everything is in the very early stages of figuring things out lol
