Ok but in a scenario where the Backrooms exist and the clipping holes are big enough for a person to fall through, all sorts of other shit must be in there. Missing cats, dogs, mice, random food carts that disappeared, that bit of clothing you lost ten years ago, all manner of insects. There must be an entire ecosystem down there. mascot horror is good because it allows young internet users to engage with the spooky side of fandoms without the content being outright traumatizing.

engaging in horror shouldn't default to kids having to watch things they aren't ready for. they can get spooked without needing to be desensitized to R-rated media.

mascot horror is a safer buffer into becoming a long-time horror fan. it's good for everyone, really.
