Percy, who had finally accepted to bear the burden of the great prophecy after agonizing over it for years only for everyone to repeatedly tell him in the final book that he's not the hero and its not about him:

cas would not kiss dean first. dean would also not kiss cas first. this is their tragedy. but a shapeshifter or some kind of monster clone or djinn dream would initiate the first kiss and they would 100% return it. or the real dean and cas would've just simply fallen together somehow like tripped and fell and gravity would bring their mouths together whoops anyway they'd both take it from there - and that's not fate pulling strings it's just dumb luck for these two dumbasses (affectionate)

See people don't seem to understand this-
The soldiers are not just people who fight. They are people who have had to carry themselves when no one else was there. They are blunt and honest and their sword is so heavy so they do everything they can to avoid confrontation but in the end it will happen whether they want it to or not. The soldiers don't want to destroy but everything they touch crumbles at their fingertips and the flames grow despite their pleading for it all to stop, please let it stop they're not strong enough they don't want to be strong enough for this.
The poets are not just creatives. The poets are the ones who can cut you down with words. They want the truth, they want to see everything you are and more and they will marvel your ugly spots as if they were diamonds. The poets are also those who can tell you the prettiest lies, they give you lenses that disguise all the red in this world. The poets are also those who know that words are so incredibly dangerous and powerful, so they will sit in silence to hide the strength a simple word can hold.
The kings? The kings are those burdened with a life they never wished to lead. They are the golden children so burnt out that waking up is more tiring than the rest they had just achieved. The kings believe they have a duty to the world, and they are unfortunate in that everything they do will be criticized and judged and used against them no matter how noble the intention. All they can do is pray they create enough good to balance out their bad.
And together the soldiers, poets, and kings want to move forward. No matter their individual burdens, the soldiers will serve their kings, the kings will bow to the poets, and the poets will fall to the soldiers.

hi, first off i really love your art. the h/c and warmth really hit me where i live and your illustration style is fantastic. lately i've been obsessed with the post where an unwell milek thinks geralt will leave him behind. was that an ingrained insecurity, assuming his super-witcher dad wouldn't have time for a sickly human kid?
[MASTERPOST] - Ahh, thank you for the ask! Yes, this scene.. I actually saw this a bit differently! It's not about Milek fearing Geralt will leave him behind, he actually wants him to. They need to find his Pa!! I think he often feels like a burden; Jaskier knows this, but Geralt isn't aware of this yet. Milek just wants to pull his weight, especially with Jaskier. A little sneak peak to their struggles regarding this:
Meanwhile Jaskier continues to struggle with his omega status.

btw talking about character reactions to bkg dying (i wrote the deku post several hours ago but shh) Aizawa :
The absolute disbelief on his face. And then the widening eyes. Horikoshi really had fun with that close up like my mans was really like nuh uh you are not ignoring Aizawa. The eyebrows? The wrinkles? The absolute panic and despair in this man's eyes? When he sees his student (one of the most promising and one of the best and one of the most reckless) dead on the floor?
And then the anger? The handhold, the grip on that other student that very much should not be here, that should be safe and not in the middle of a warzone with him, the panic and the sweat and the clenched jaw? I'm still and forever going insane

at least once a week i say to myself babygirl its time to get over stucky its 2022 and you hate mcu but. but. they unintentionally made such enthralling, tragic, beautiful love story that just grips you hard by your heart and never fucking lets go just keeps pulling
they made characters that revolved around each other without being anything but equal, they created this relationship that spawned over decades, from bruised knees and backyard bullies to shared apartments through the trenches to the impossible future.
they wrote a man who was good through and through, who was the most selfless man ever who would (and did) fight the whole world and walk over dead bodies to save that one man who was always there for him, to search every corner of the planet just to find him again and help him, the only selfish thing he allowed himself
they wrote a man who worshipped the ground the little ridiculed man walked on since day one but never made him feel like he was a burden, they put him through hell and erased him and still he managed to come back and find himself just because of an unintentional wedding vow.
they went through parallelling experiences without even knowing it, every part of their journey mirrored in a cruel way, they lived through something nobody else can relate to only to against all odds, find each other seventy years into the future after both of their deaths, after bucky was all but damned but steve was willing to risk everything
they wrote a beautiful love story and then they got too scared of the queerness they accidentaly created since day one these two appeared on screen and threw it all away for a cheapened story arc just to appeal to the masses and every day i think about what could have been if they werent cowards and played into that chemistry
