I have a request for an MC who's never been called beautiful or handsome before, so when they're complimented, they ask why and just start to cry. The brothers (plus Dia and Barbatos, if it's not too much to ask, of course) are shocked at their tears and find out that their human had never been complimented before this moment.

Sorry if it's too specific, I had this experience and I cried for way too long, I just want to know how the boys would react.

right after you had finally taken your last RAD exam, you thought you looked like a mess and you vocalized that

he swooped into to disagree and called you handsome

he’s quick to comfort you when you start to cry because he’s not quite sure why

when he finds out it’s because he called you handsome, he dabs always your tears and makes a mental note to call you good looking more often

Mammon

he called you it kind of in the heat of the moment

but that he didn’t mean it, but he was just so excited! you’d just helped him win a huge bet and made him loads of grim so it slipped out in a long string of compliments

he slows down once he sees you crying, and wipes your tears

he tells you he’d call you beautiful over and over again if you wanted because he really did think you were the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen

Levi

he really worked himself up to compliment you like this

after all, as a chronic overthinker, he sat for while thinking about the implications and how you might react

once he finally said it after almost chickening out, he totally freaked out after you burst out into tears

the following ten minutes were chaotic to say the least, but in the end he knew it was out of joy

he probably says it in passing after you called something or someone else pretty

something along the lines of “you’re pretty too” simple and to the point

he feels several moments of panic until you start to try to reassume him that they’re not bad tears

every time you call something else pretty or something along those lines, he thinks of that moment and says what he said back then with more purpose

Belphie

he for sure tells you while the two of you are our stargazing

out of the blue, he rolls over and tells you you remind him of the brightest, twinkling star and that you shine in the same, brilliant, beautiful way

without looking back at you, he returns to star gazing as you begin to silently sniff

he pulls you into his side, gently smiling and hugging you tight

Diavolo

after getting ready for a party and putting on the finished touches on your outfit, you turned to him to ask how you looked

after he told you you looked incredibly handsome, you couldn’t stop the waterworks from flowing

he’s very afraid at first he said something wrong but after you explain it’s just because you’ve never been called that before, his whole demeanor changes

he personally delivers handwritten notes to you daily during RAD that are just all the things he loves about you in them now <33

Barbatos

when he gives out a compliment, it’s very deliberate

he thinks very carefully about what he wants to say, not because he’s afraid he’ll say something wrong, but because he really wants it to mean something

when he called you and your work pretty along with a few other things, he wasn’t sure how to initially react to your tears

but eventually when you started to hug him, he hugged you back and comforted you. he has the little d’s make a routine or complimenting you too :)

Thinking about.....Barbatos being lowkey unhinged whenever he is slightly jealous. You can't really tell from his polite mask that he has put on but he's going through every possible torture methods in his head as this guest at Diavolo's ball is getting a little too friendly for his comfort.

You notice his eye twitching from annoyance when the said guest puts a fleeting hand on your arm, laughing at their own joke. Barbatos acts nonchalant when you drag him away to a little secluded space, though you can see his decorum slipping, second by second.

"Barbatos, no."

You get just a shrug in response. "Lets go back, dear", a polite smile as he leads you gently back to the main hall. You decide to leave it at that and instead enjoy the party, making sure that Mammon isn't sneaking his way into the royal treasury.

A few days later, you decide to make your way to Barbatos, having nothing better to do for the day and missing him.

While you're with him, chatting on about your day, a thought strikes you as you ask him about that one way-too-friendly guest. It was as if they disappeared from the ball afterwards.

You, again, get only a shrug in response, "I have no idea what you are talking about".

You pretend not to notice the way his lips threaten to quirk up.

it definitely takes a lot of time for him to open up to you. He loves you and that honestly scares him.

He's been hurt in the past too, so don't expect him to admit his feelings for you straight away.

He's not a big fan of showing affection in public. He'll sling an arm over your shoulder, sure, or keep one hand in your back pocket at all times to show everyone you're his, but he's got a reputation to uphold.

He's super protective of you. You've got someone who's messing with you? No worries, doll, Dallas will sort them out for you.

He doesn’t say it often but you know he cares about you and he’ll show it through little things such as giving you his jacket when you get cold or standing up for you when needed.

Arguments happen fairly often between you two and, while it's usually over something small and petty, Dallas will never be the first to apologise. He's far too stubborn for that.

Date nights between you two are often spent either driving about Tulsa in Buck's thunderbird or sneaking into the drive-in to watch whatever crappy movie is playing.

He takes his time introducing you to the guys and when he does, it’s a pretty big deal for him. They’re pretty much the only family he’s got and it’s important that you all get along.

Sometimes Johnny will tag along on your guys’ dates. It’s not really something you get a choice in for wherever Dallas is, Johnny won’t be far behind. But he’s no trouble really. He’s more than happy to hang back and stay quiet, as long as he can see you guys and you’re there to keep him safe.

Speaking of rumbles... you're his go-to after he gets hurt. he trusts you to patch him up and take care of him. Sure, he'll complain when you try to clean the cuts but eventually, he'll sit still and let you work.

He’s probably not huge on cuddling, but when you both spend the night together or if he’s tired and beyond the point of caring, he’ll let you lie on his chest while he smokes, his free arms draped lazing across your waist.

When he gets hauled in by the cops, expect a call from him begging asking you semi-politely for you to come pick him up.

Your parents will probably disapprove of him but he couldn't care less.

synopsis/concept: when each of the main 4 has a crush on you

kyle brovsloski

at first, kyle himself wasn't truly aware of the fact that he had a crush on you. he only realized when he found himself getting kind of disappointed whenever you talked to some of the other guys, and plotting ways to get into whatever activities or clubs you were in

but soon almost everyone knew of how head over heels he was 😭

he'd almost follow you around like a lost puppy, going along with everything you say, doing whatever you'd say or ask, and even participating in your weird or sometimes semi-hazardous ideas.

he didn't even mind when you would get sucked into the black hole that is walmart and spend hours there. the longer you wanted to shop, the longer he could stay with you

sometimes you would drag him by the hand through the aisles looking for something, and he'd pretend like he was bored, or he was unentertained. truthfully, he loved that you were even touching him, and the mildest physical affection from you makes him go feral

usually, you initiate any physical contact, but when kyle does he touches you like you're fragile. i feel like kyle's the type to playfully hit people, but he just taps you instead, whereas he'd accidentally knockout cartman or something 😭

he'd just think all day about how much you smiled or how happy you seemed sometimes,

he just enjoys to be close to you and being included in like everything you did. it's lowk obsessive, but in an endearing way i swear

stan marsh

stan made it so obvious that he liked you 😭

literally everybody teased you both for it, but everybody was also lowk rooting for you two to start dating

because he would constantly be staring at you in every class and find every little excuse to talk to you or have an interaction with you. group project? he would come to you. he needs help with something? he'll come to you. you guys just worked so well together, he felt like it made sm sense

sometimes though, he'd get incredibly nauseous around you. he'd keep going to the bathroom every few minutes and you wouldn't know why. it was kind of weird, but you tried not to think too much of it.

he would always act incredibly awkward around you, and he'd get really flustered and anxious when talking to you or being around you, but you found it so cute <33 he wouldn't know what to say or how to act around you, afraid to say the wrong thing and scare you away.

he would be really sweet to you too. stan is generally really kind and polite to most other people, so you didn't think much of it at first, but you noticed something weird when it started to seem like he was trying to impress you.

he'd learn the songs you liked on his guitar and bring you to his house to play them for you. it's so endearing to him how you get so excited and shocked every single time he does it ☹️

he'd bring you little gifts and things that you like whenever he has the chance. if he happens to find a soda or a snack that you like when he's running to the bodega, he'll bring it for you the next day when he sees you.

AND stan is definitely the type to send you gym gain updates and tell you how much he benched you each day. he heard you talking about how you liked athletic and muscular guys with abs, so he makes sure to remind you almost daily about his sports abilities and stuff 💀

eric cartman

just like stan, he'd try to impress you a lot, but being less obvious. he'd want to make himself appear more masculine and "tough." like, he'd be a lot more aggressive to his friends when you're near, and he would talk a lot louder. it would make him really willing to get into fights around you so that you could see how big and strong he is, too

cartman also would get REALLY jealous if other boys have your attention, and he'd do anything to grab your attention and draw it away from them. he'd pretend he needed your help with something, or act like someone was calling you for something

cartman's the type to be a little meaner to you if he likes you to convince himself you that he doesn't for some reason?? he'd try to play them off as jokes, though

he'd act like he hates you, but it's kind of clear he doesn't. when he's chewing the rest of his friends out, he often exempts you from some of his insults

"you guys are so STUPID, did you really think that was going to work? except for y/n obviously, but the rest of you are idiots."

you had a small feeling he liked you, but it was kind of unclear.

you and cartman were also really closer friends somehow, so you just considered that his bias to you might not be romantic

kenny mccormick

kenny was sort of weirded-out when he realized he had a massive crush on you. he found himself fantasizing about every curve and dip in your body, and constantly thought about you.

and although you had a suspicion he liked you, you couldn't be entirely sure. kenny had the tendency to flirt with almost every girl he encountered (he's a little bit of a hoe) and he wanted himself to come off to you as confident to you

and he'd keep "jokingly" asking you to kiss or make out, hoping that eventually you'd agree and it would actually happen

but it was just the way that he got so flustered when you play along and flirt back with him even more intensely that gave him away. he'd start stuttering and blushing, trying to think of something to outdo you again

still, he'd restrict himself a little and think over his words thoroughly before he makes an effort to flirt with you, because he'd be scared he's going to scare you away or make you think he's weird.

he probably googles "how to be charismatic" or "how to make a girl like you back" just to make sure he gets it right 😭

he's literally smitten by you btw. everything you do is so attractive to him, and he talks about you to his friends almost 24/7, telling them about every single movement you made

he felt more at ease around you than most of his other friends too, so he felt safe bringing you over to his house. he knew you wouldn't make fun of him or nag him for it, unlike cartman or other people.

and when you met karen, you got along with her so well. kenny would rant about you to her and tell her all about you, and you were surprised that she knew you so well. and he loves how you always try to talk to her and be friendly to her. she's really shy, so you're one of the few people she finds herself comfortable around.

he loved when you started bringing him food or basic stuff for him and some of his family, at that point he was planning your wedding and looking for rings. he likes you because you're so considerate and kind to him, he just can't help it

I can't begin to describe to you all how AMAZING this feels!

I've spent the past 2 years on what felt like a wild goose chase, desperately searching for this one comic that I wasn't even sure existed.

This all started with me finding a photo on Tumblr of this comic and spiraling into this deep dive. First I didn't know if this was even real, then I found out that this comic series had ceased printing, then I couldn't be sure which book it was actually in.

There is literally almost no information out there about the fourth volume of this anthology series. I've said this before and I'll say it again, volumes 1 and 2 both have full translations that you can download off of other websites, and while 3 doesn't seem to have that, there are a lot of separately translated comics floating around out there, namely on Pinterest.

The 4th volume had NOTHING! No matter how hard I searched or how many links I clicked, no one has really said ANYTHING about this book, which was why this specific comic was so hard for me to find.

But I have all of the books now, so I definitely want to do this again for all of them so that people have easy access to these translations. I'll start with book 4 though haha.

Also, I'm not sure who it was, but HUUUUGE thanks to the kind stranger on Ebay who was willing to sent me the whole series!! I literally don't know where I would be right now if these books weren't with me, so thank you <3

It was another busy day at the Armed Detective Agency, and as usual, you were running around taking care of everyone. But today, you had two extra people to look after - little Yosano and Ranpo. They were both so young and innocent, and you couldn't help but feel a maternal instinct to protect them.

As you walked into the office, you saw Fukuzawa sitting at his desk, reading some documents. He looked up when he saw you and gave you a small smile.

"Good morning, my dear," he said, his voice low and calm.

"Good morning, love," you replied, walking over to him and giving him a kiss on the cheek.

You then turned your attention to Yosano and Ranpo, who were sitting at a table, working on some puzzles. You sat down next to them and watched them for a moment, admiring how smart they were for their age.

"Hey, guys," you said, smiling at them. "How's it going?"

"We're doing good," Yosano replied, looking up at you. "We finished all our work."

"Great job," you said, ruffling their hair. "Why don't we take a break and go get some snacks?"

Yosano and Ranpo both nodded eagerly, and you got up to lead them to the kitchen. As you walked, you couldn't help but feel a warm feeling in your heart. You loved taking care of these kids, and you were so grateful that Fukuzawa allowed you to be a part of their lives.

In the kitchen, you helped Yosano and Ranpo make some sandwiches and poured them each a glass of juice. As they ate, you sat with them and listened to them chatter about their day.

After a while, Fukuzawa walked in and sat down next to you. He watched the kids eat for a moment before turning to you and saying, "You're so good with them, my dear. I'm lucky to have you."

One thing I love about TWST is how interconnected all the stories are! Even events and vignettes. My best example is the Halloween event and Diasomnia's vignettes. They're very good foreshadowing. Silver literally says (in his Halloween vignette pt. 2) "[I]f Lilia and Malleus chose to fight us of their own volition, could I oppose them? Would I be able to turn my blade against them?” (His whole dialogue there was amazing). He also says he was afraid of Malleus disappearing, not time stopping.

Imo, that's exactly how you use events and vignettes. They're supplementary to the characters/story/world and provide questions the main story can answer. Nowhere in the main story did Silver say "I'd hate it if Malleus disappeared rn. But time stopping? Whatever!" That's a facet of his character you get when your hard work getting gems pays off. The gacha system is still ass, though. Looking at you, Pop Music Club Lilia. Smh. I'm still salty about that.

Anyway, my preamble is over. This is a tidbit post LSKJD

Instead of just random fact, though, I want to share my favorite things about each character!

Tidbit (6.25) about Malleus:

You can tell how much he admires the Thorn Fairy.

In his Birthday Boy vignette pt 2. he offers to fill the party with briars—like the Thorn Fairy did. When the MC tells him that's dangerous, he says he thought it'd be an "amusing diversion." (He's so silly) I'm sure there's a few other examples, but I yapped enough already.

Tidbit (6.50) about Silver:

He's so naïve and candid, it's adorable.

He's not cautious of the Octavinelle guys. In his Fairy Gala vignette, Jade had a plot to get his dishes looking new, and Silver needed a translation bell; so they worked together. Silver also genuinely complimented the craft fairy's work and Jade thought he was being deceptive. In the White Rabbit Fest, a delinquent asked if he was scared and he was like "No, I'm okay. Thanks for asking, though."

He should know Octavinelle is bad news, though, because Sebek was hostile to Azul in his Labwear vignette. Tbf, Sebek quickly accepted his miracle detergent, so idk.

Tidbit (6.75) about Sebek:

He's so dramatic!!

He was sobbing every time Malleus sung during rehearsals for the Masquerade event (Sebek's Masquerade vignette pt 1) Like I mentioned before, he makes a big deal out of helping anyone. (A little off topic, but there's a cute moment in his Ceremonial Robes vignette where the MC hides under his arm!!)

Tidbit (7) about Lilia:

Everything <33 he's my wife!!

But if I had to pick one thing, it'd probably be his speech and dynamics with everyone.

My favorite line from him is "Growing boys need their calories. If the beast hungers, I say feed it." (from Sebek's Labwear vignette pt. 1 about Malleus)

You can just tell how much he loves them and how much they love him back. He'll tease Malleus and Sebek and they'll be dramatic about it, but it's all in good fun!

He protects Malleus from creeps (Rook) and Malleus protects him in turn!! (Lilia's P.E uniform vignette). Silver says thinking about cooking for Lilia keeps him awake (Apprentice Chef vignette pt. 2) , and Sebek trusts everything Lilia says (P.E Uniform vignette)

That's why his decision to leave them all is so damn heartbreaking. Like, girl, LOOK AT WHAT'S IN FRONT OF YOU!!!! I'm gonna shake that mf.

Their relationships are weird, but it's obvious what they are!! If you raise a kid, they'll think you're their father. SMH

BillFord is a FASCINATING concept and it's not hard to see why the ship is as popular as it is despite the (well-deserved) stigma; a lot of things between them that can be read as fuel to the shipping fire. (ie the hair ruffles, the nose flick, the nicknames, the gold statue, the piano serenade, Ford being attracted to the strange, Bill offering to make Ford "one of us," even the possibly kinky undertones of glowy blue chains and bodily possession)

But the problem is that the ship can get very nasty very fast. Make no mistake, what Bill does to Ford is abuse. He is manipulative and violent and cruel. "Mystery bruises?" Literally torturing Ford on screen? Driving a wedge between Ford and his support system to the point that he has extreme trouble trusting people? Preying upon Ford's insecurities about being a freak? That is horrifying stuff, in particular because of how clear the parallels are to real world abuse.

With that in mind, let me talk about KMKY. I loved this fic to pieces. It’s written and organized incredibly well with a good mix of humor, sentiment, tragedy, and villainy without ever feeling off-balance tonally. The best thing about this fic, however, is the mature and nuanced themes about abuse: how hard it is to still love your abuser even when you start realizing that they're as bad as they are, accepting that you're a victim and have no reason to apologize, how an abuser's own trauma isn't an excuse for their actions. I really appreciate that the author has sympathy for Bill while still clearly acknowledging that "hey, what Bill did to Ford was abuse and Ford doesn't have to forgive him, much less take him back." A lesser writer would force Bill and Ford together, but that's not what happens because it's not what should happen.

So, for anyone who is interested in reading it... The gist of it is that instead of inviting Fiddleford to work on the portal, Ford makes a body for Bill to assist in person. The first 33 chapters develop their relationship (ft. Fiddleford being confused and stressed) and then Ford finds out Bill has been lying and eventually goes through the portal. It is very much a romance but the writing is so good that there are times when it's genuinely heartbreaking that the two of them won't work out.

I would definitely say that Bill is the main character (even though Ford has a significant amount of viewpoint time and he's the one you're supposed to root for) because he's the one who changes throughout the story. It's not a positive change, but it is an extremely compelling character arc. The characterization of Bill in this fic is particularly cool to me because he’s definitely a complete person, but he’s very clearly inhuman.

A little preview/incentive to read it: all of Bill’s underlings have individual personalities, Jheselbraum is a super important character and her characterization is... really cool (that's not a good description, but I was in love with it), the worldbuilding of all the places Ford visits in the multiverse was really cool and fun, there are great OCs like Wendy's mom, this mob boss guy that is a delight to hate, and a sarcastic kick-ass alien lady, Bill's backstory is really impactful, Pyronica is a bad bitch, Bill and Ford fight zombies while We Go Together from Grease plays in the background, there are cool themes about enjoying the mundane things in life and how society treats the Strange, and well-written humor that had me laughing out loud constantly. For as long as it is, all of it was extremely memorable and hardly any of it felt like filler. (I will warn you if you choose to read it, there is some serious steam.)

As for the ending... I totally understand why the author stopped writing it. They were trying to make it canon-compliant, but by the time it caught up to the show it was very clear that adhering to the canon material was holding them back. They did their best, but I could tell they weren't enjoying writing it and if you're not enjoying your art, then I don't think it's worth doing.

1. I wish i could have a normal love... but no, my brain wants to worship every little detail of you until it drives me insane

2. sorry i pushed you away i felt abandoned and suicidal

3. I’m sick of going to bed and knowing things won’t be better tomorrow

4. I'll ask you thousands times if you really love, please don't get annoyed

5. I'll create "drama" and mishaps only to feel like I'm in home

6. i’m afraid that one day my anger will overshadow the little love i still have left for the world

7. I feel numb. No tears, no anger, nothing. Just going through the same day again and again. I would rather just sleep without waking up.

8. I'm so tired of everytime one small argument or inconvenience breaks out I want to end it and self destruct, it's so draining.

44. it's either be alone without 75% of my symptoms, or be with someone and display the most horrendous unstable awful version of myself. why do i have to choose between love & happiness or peace & stability?

46. getting worked up to the point of becoming physically ill (throwing up/stomach issues etc) because you felt rejected/abandoned by your favourite person

47. i wish my trauma made me kind as everyone says but i’m becoming what i fear the most- a monster.
