Just Unbuilt, Or Am I Unwanted?
As you try to improve Xiao's build for the 100th time, some of the others finally lose their patience

Walking through Mondstadt, Amber is on her way to Good Hunter for her lunch break when she sees the traveller apparate before the fountain. His appearance usually means the player has logged on again so she swiftly abandons her lunch plans and rushes over to the traveller, waving her arms in greeting.
“Hey traveller! Welcome back to the land of the living!”
Aether turns in Amber’s direction before giving her a little smile and waving back.
“Hey Amber. Good to be back.”
“Has the player finally logged on again?”
He sighs. It’s just his luck the first person he talks to wants to talk more about you than him.
“Yeah.”
“What’re their plans today?”
And of course it’s just his luck he has to crush their spirits. What a wonderful way to start his day.

Amber pouts at that. You promised you’d build her sometime ago, but it feels like it’s been a year since you said that, and she’s still only level 60! “Kathryn, expeditions, blacksmith, uhh I think I have to go to the Serenitea Pot today- wait what domain was I going to do again?”
Peaking around Marjorie’s shop, they watch as you hand in the daily commissions you didn’t do. Amber was hoping to hear you talk about anyone else to prove Aether wrong please prove him wrong while he wanted to make sure Amber didn’t do anything rash.
“Oh right I was going to farm Marechaussee Hunter today.”
Sparkles appeared in Amber’s eyes as she quickly turned to Aether, “Did you hear that? That’s the Denouncement of Sin domain-”
“It’s actually Denouement of Sin.”
“Oh! Thank you, but more importantly it’s not The Lost Valley! That means it’s not Vermillion Hereafter which means it’s not Xiao!”
Aether doesn’t know if he should be amused or sad for her. “Just give it a second.”
She tilts her head “Why would-”
“With Hunters Xiao basically has 60 CRT rate off hop. Paired with Jade Spear it’s 80… something. I’d barely need any CRT rate rolls and can stack so much CRT damage and ATK. It probably won’t be that much better than the sets I already have, but funny numbers win in the end time to farm for his fourth set!”
You teleport away, none the wiser to the despair you just put Amber in. All Aether does is pat her back before getting ready to teleport himself.
“I tried to warn you not to get your hopes up.”
Amber barely hears him as she drowns herself in self-pity. Looking like a husk of the person she is “... He’s getting a fourth. I don’t even have one.”
Aether winces, but can’t think of anything to say that might lift her spirits. He doesn’t think there is anything that can, so he teleports to Fontaine.

As he lands at the closest waypoint north of the domain and starts walking towards it, he notices a certain top hat individual staring in the direction of Denouement of Sin. As Aether gets closer he hastily turns around upon hearing his footsteps. Getting over his slight panic he brightly smiles.
“Oh ho if it isn’t the traveller! What brings you to this part of Fontaine during such a fine afternoon?’
“I’m here to keep an eye on our player Lyney. As usual. Seeing as you’re not making your way over to the domain I assume you’re not here to do the same?” Aether questions in a deadpan voice and crosses his arms, not up to deal with Lyney’s antics at the moment.
Lyney’s lips twitch downwards and a look of sadness crosses his face for a split second before he puts up his smile again. “Getting right to it, I see. Well I actually was here to watch our dear player, since they are technically farming for me as well today, but on my way over I happened to notice someone enter the side entrance to the domain. That’s not so suspicious on its own, but they were being awfully secretive about it.”
Aether’s eyes widen “Wait. Do you think they’re going to the backroom where the artifact codes are?”
“Bingo! I had stopped to ponder what my next course of action should be, leave and get help or spy on them by myself, when you just so happened to show up! Don’t you think we should go see what they’re up to?”

Aether and Lyney quietly enter the hidden side entrance in the mountain. Spawning on the outer regions of the domain they swiftly make their way to the backroom through the trees while trying not to slip on the wet grass into the water.
After a few close calls and one save from a floating jellyfish, they jump from the broken bridge into the backroom behind the Petrified Tree. There, standing in front of a clear screen with a heap of intelligible jargon and surrounded by machinery and wires is-
“Childe?” “Master Tartaglia?”
“Oh hello comrades!” He turns around and waves. Like he didn’t just enter territory that the Archons personally had restricted.
Seeing Childe standing over the console with the code open alarms both the other men at the scene.
Aether ignores him and sharply walks over to turn off the console when Childe blocks his path. Aether sends him the hardest glare he could.
“What do you think you’re doing Childe?”
“Hm? Oh, you mean the code! I’m just looking there’s no need for you two to worry!”
“With all due respect Master Tartaglia,” Lyney interjects as politely as he could to his superior while still being stern “That’s not exactly believable when barely anyone in Teyvat can even understand the player's written language.”
They all stand there in silence for a second before they hear Xiao’s plunge attacks and your laughs from the room over. This ticks off Childe more than he’d like to admit.
“Okay you got me I wasn’t initially here to just look, but, like you said, I can’t decipher what any of this means, so I was going to leave it alone anyway.”
Aether puts his hands on his hips with a disappointed look while Lyney crosses his arms and raises an eyebrow.
“So what were you going to do before?”
Childe turns back to the code “Well I was wondering if changing the rates to impossible odds would convince our dear player to finally see that they don’t need to work on some washed up warrior anymore and start building someone else for a change.”
In exasperation Aether pinches the bridge of his nose “Do you really not realize how stupid your plan is?”
“What no it’s great. After a little while they’d realize that continuing to build this guy is a waste of time when he’s been done for so long already. Maybe it’d get them to finally finish my own artifacts.”
“Doing this would cause the opposite effect of what you’re looking for. Just wait your turn.”
“It hasn’t been my turn in ages, comrade.”
Aether getting increasingly more done with this conversation pulls his sword out at Childe. “Step away from the console.”
Childe forms his hydro weaponry in retaliation and points one in Aether’s direction “Like you can get me to do anything by only pointing a sword in my direction.”
Lyney, realizing that starting a fight while the console is still on and the code still visible might not be the best idea, goes to step in between them. “Listen I don’t think-”
“WHAT’S GOING ON HERE!?”
“Paimon?”
The outburst from Paimon causes Lyney to instantly turn around, and he loses his footing, causing him to fall straight into Childe. Childe in turn quickly puts his hand onto the wall next to him to stabilize himself and keep Lyney from crashing into the floor.
Childe pushes himself off the wall and puts Lyney back into a standing position.
“Thanks, I-” Lyney suddenly stops and stares in horror behind him.
“What? What is it?”
Childe turns around and sees the jagged hole in the screen and the machinery behind it. It stutters and flickers, scrambling the code before finally shutting down. He winces when he realizes he forgot to make his hydro weapons fade away. He tries to shrug it off, but can’t help the feeling this is the worst way his issue could’ve been solved.
“Well, I guess that’s one way to solve a problem?”
They all look at him in disbelief and soon Paimon is stomping in the air angrily.
“UGH! Paimon didn’t take you to be this big of an idiot! How did this happen? Why are you all even here??”
“We were following Master Tartaglia to see what he was up to. He wanted to change the artifact rates to be near impossible. He didn’t explain what about the rates he was even changing.”
Paimon backs in shock “WHAT? Why would you even do that. How does that solve any problem you could be having?”
For the second time Childe tries to get his opinion across. “Once the player sees they’re not getting anything good from this domain, surely they’ll pivot and work on someone else. Preferably me.”
“PAIMON CAN’T BELIEVE PAIMON’S OPINION OF YOU COULD GET ANY LOWER! That’s not what’s going to happen at all! All the player is going to think is that they’re getting really unlucky and will keep trying. Why would getting ‘unlucky’ make them try to build someone else when they think the artifact rates are the same everywhere. It’s just going to make building Xiao take even longer!”
It finally sinks into his head how bad this decision of his was and pure dread spreads across his face.
He grabs Aether by his shoulder and swings his free arm in the general direction of the broken code “No wait surely we can fix this. It was just an accident I didn’t mean to actually go through with it.”
Aether sighs and crosses his arms “I’m sure the only beings capable of fixing this mess are the Archons.”
Hearing that the Archons might have to get involved stresses Lyney out of his mind. “Are you sure? I can’t see the gods taking kindly to us even entering this room in the first place, let alone destroying the code.”
“I could ask if Albedo knows how. Though I doubt he’d fix it much faster than someone like the dendro Archon could.”
Paimon nods along with the traveller “Yeah! He’d also treat you way worse than the dendro Archon since it’s the player you’re upsetting. Nahida is probably your best option.”
“What do you mean ‘your’? This is partly your fault too Paimon.”
Paimon starts to argue with Aether that she was barely in the room, so there’s no way it could be her fault, while Lyney silently hopes Lynette is doing well. Childe wants to argue he could handle anything that either god or human would throw at him, before your voice suddenly rings throughout the room.
“Damn nothing again? I guess I just started, but I’d like to get something with at least CRT damage. I just want to see some funny numbers game.”
Paimon leaves them to their frenzy, discretely slipping back to your side. The three hooligans all look at each other before hurriedly exiting the domain and rushing to Sumeru to get anyone to try and fix it.
You get nothing good out of that domain for the rest of the month.

Yandere Childe (Normalized Yandere AU)
Based on a reblog thread with @writing-genshin-obsession where they mentioned the idea of every relationship in Snezhnaya being yandere because of the heavy emphasis on family. So I just started picturing a darling who was in the Fatui but defected and left because she could not stand the idea of being trapped in such a relationship, being backed into a corner like a little helpless animal just waiting for something to bite down and she has to be happy instead, no thank you, so she fought back instead. (Link to the original post and thread)
Also slight inspired by a conversation @yandere-wishes and I had in the comments of a post about it being hot when you are at the winner’s whim in a fight, specifically with Childe so…
Imagining Childe with a traitor reader again, he never met her when she was in the Fatui, he was sent to track her down because she betrayed the Fatui. He had been hearing stories about her being ruthless when taking out Fatui camps, he’ll she probably even was asked by Lady Ningguang to help in the fight against the Overlord of the Vortex because the Fatui were involved and his darling carries such a hatred for them she was glad to lend a hand.
Then in his investigation he visits her family. They live in a small village in cold nation, just like how he grew up. She had a number of younger siblings who she still writes to and when Childe is reading over her letters it reminds him of how he writes to his siblings back home. Her parents are disappointed in her (not only because she betrayed the Fatui but because of her views on love in their nation, believing in the love that was encouraged in their nation was wrong. How preposterous) but more than anything they are terrified for their little girl and beg the harbinger not to kill her when he finds her. He gives them his word, he would never kill her.
Which leads to where they end up, locked in battle, both of them fighting for her life just in different ways. She is strong but just not strong enough, one wrong move gives the harbinger an opening to sweep his leg under her own, knocking her to the ground. Her head bangs against the ground with a loud, which most likely resulted in some manner of head injury. The world is burly and she tries to pick up her blade but it is kicking away from her. All she can process now is the clicking of boots as the harbinger comes to kneel next to her form that is fading in and out of consciousness.
“For what it’s worth, you have quite the fight… Shhh rest now, you’ll be okay, I am taking you home.”
He does, he takes her back to her family to recover. Her parents weep in gratitude to see that their daughter’s life has been spared and give the harbinger their heartfelt thanks. While she is resting in her bedroom, along with her sibling who had all piled in alongside her, Ajax talks to her parents…
When she wakes up, she is back home, like he promised and her siblings are all asleep beside her. Her body is sore but she hears conversations from the living room. She slips out, ever so silently and ease drops from behind a corner. Her heart sinks when she hears her mother speak…
“Love, I know you were once a spy but I am your mother, I know when one of my own are snooping.”
She steps out from behind the corner and her mother waves her over to the conversation, and clear as day her parents seem overjoyed with the harbinger. Her mother smiled at her and tells her…
“You are going to be Ajax’s wife, his darling.”
She tries to refuse but it is all in vain. In the end, not even a month later she is dressed in white and is walking down the aisle that was made in the throne room in the Zapolyarny Palace, only best for her majesty’s harbingers. As she walks down the isle she gets looks from the darlings that rest on the arms of the other harbingers that are just so pitying, they know what it is like to be in her situation and it does not get better.
(Side idea but but now I am picturing all the harbinger’s darlings and the darlings of other high ranking Fatui officials getting together at Pantalone’s manor (of course his darling asked his permission and he said yes) when he is off on business. I am kinda picturing that once scene from Bridgerton where it is a party for the married ladies thrown by Lady Danbury, I’ll put the YouTube video to the scene I am talking about)

notes: I contemplated posting this because I'm nervous, but I mustered up the courage to do so. I haven't written for Genshin Impact before. Maybe I'll write something proper eventually.
I was just thinking about Dottore and what would happen if he made another segment after Sumeru, and if that segment escaped with a former test subject. I don't even know if that's possible lol.
This is just a scene that came to mind, and I wrote it.

The metal clasp breaks as he yanks the earring from his lobe, its jagged edge ripping through his ear. In an instant, the connection is severed, the voice in his head fading out and leaving him alone with his thoughts for the first time since his creation. The silence is both unsettling and a relief, though a part of him resists, for once questioning his own judgment. His gaze flickers to you, the neon glow catching your eyes in the darkness long enough to give him pause. There is no time to dwell on the vial that rests in the palm of his hand; it’s a useless distraction—a flaw in his existence.
Without further delay, he throws the vial onto the ground with more force than necessary, the glass shattering beneath his boot. Bright blue liquid stains his feet and seeps into the wooden floorboards.
He almost mourns the loss.
His creator breathed life into him for the sole purpose of his research. He can understand the reasoning behind his conception; however, the scales did not tip in his favor. Orders were given, and he was meant to follow without question, a mere puppet in the grand scheme of things. He may be one segment of a whole, but his mind is far too great to be squandered. Those who came before him lacked his fortitude, all too happy to waste away for a man who could care less about whether they lived or died. He learned from their past failures and swore he would be more than a means to an end.
“Doctor . . . Dottore . . .” It’s almost comical how easily you draw him from his thoughts; he has yet to decide if he finds it amusing or worrisome. He’s stuck with you for now, he might as well humor you in the meantime. “Is everything okay?”
“Never better,” he drawls, folding his arms behind his back. An air of uncertainty hangs over you, and the hint of fear in your voice as you utter his name does not go unnoticed by him. Of course, you fear him—that is a given. Your concern for him is not. There are not many things in this world that perplex him, and somehow you do.
The boat lurches forward, and your face pales considerably, sweat beading on your brow.
“You, on the other hand, look like you’ve seen better days.”
His gaze lingers on you, observing how your frail human body trembles from the cold, a small reminder of your mortality. You’re not properly dressed for the bitter Snezhnayan weather, and he wonders how well you’ll fare in such conditions. The cabin provides shelter, albeit not enough to drive away the eternal chill that permeates the region.
Logically, he knows you are worthless to him. You’re weak—a liability. He should dispose of you, otherwise you’ll drag him down, and he can’t afford that. There is no reason he shouldn’t, so why does he falter? Your frightened expression flashes in his mind’s eye, and he recalls the sound of your pitiful sobs as he bent you to his will, the memory leaving a bitter taste in his mouth. Except it wasn’t him, not really, and he’s oddly comforted by this fact. Besides, he gave you his word; the least he can do is see you to Fontaine. He’ll simply have to tolerate your presence until then.
He steps forward.
You take a step back, and he chuckles despite himself.
You’re so insufferably human.
“I believe I have something that belongs to you.” He reaches into his coat pocket, procuring your Vision from within. “A peace offering of sorts, perhaps?”
Your eyes brighten, flitting between him and the Vision resting in his hand. Slowly, you reach out, the pendant gleaming as your fingers caress its surface. Even beneath his gloves he can feel the warmth radiating off it, and the way you smile softly in return, your gaze lingering on him longer than you ever dared, is much preferable to what he remembers. He barely registers your mumbled words of thanks, preoccupied with the drop of your shoulders as the tension eases from your muscles, and how you linger in his presence instead of pulling away.
The light of your Vision emphasizes the dark circles under your eyes; your cheeks are windburned and lips cracked and bloody. The smile on your face looks out of place when your expression is otherwise solemn—haunted—betraying your emotions. You haven’t complained thus far or requested his assistance, picking up the slack with a determination that surprised him as you trudged through the ice and snow and managed to keep pace with him. It’s a miracle you survived experimentation. Your files painted a different picture, one of a pitiful and broken test subject to be neutralized .
Has luck shone down upon you or is there more to you than meets the eye? Perhaps he can put that theory to the test.
“Sleep.” It’s not a request but a demand, and you don’t argue. “Doctor’s orders.”
With a heavy sigh you drop into bed; all too eager it seems. A couple minutes pass and your breathing evens out as you drift off to sleep, your Vision clutched to your chest. Beneath the blankets, you shiver, your breath fanning out in front of you with each rise and fall of your chest. What a shame it would be to have you succumb to the cold so soon. You’re far more entertaining alive. For the moment, at least.
He drapes his coat over you, and you instinctively snuggle into its warmth.
You need it more than he does.
The floorboards creak underfoot as he paces back and forth. His mind races, his thoughts louder in the quiet, and he growls in frustration. He’s never felt so restless, his hands itching to move, to create, to turn his ideas into a reality. Even a piece of paper and pen would do—he has neither. In Fontaine he’ll have access to all that more, but the desire that burns within him is both great and painful, threatening to consume him in his entirety.
Your snores break the silence, and he glowers in your direction. The sound aggravates his already frayed nerves, and so he counts them to alleviate some of the pressure.
It’s going to be a long night.
A very long night, indeed.

Reverse: 1999 seems unreal; too good to be true.
The reason I even took notice of it in the first place was its soundtrack. I hate jazz, but they made a jazz song that I actually like, and then there's ReReReRegulus!, what a banger.
And then I watched the trailer, to get a feel of what the game is even about. First of all, the accents! Hello? I normally always play games in JP, but this game seems to be set not in some fictional world, but in our real world, in the real London, so the British English dub would be so much more immersive (but of course there are a lot of familiar JP seiyuu, I'm very conflicted.) If this game, unlike Genshin, has a good voice director, who actually does their work and tells the VA's how the character is supposed to sound, I might play in English tbh.
As a former FGO player, traveling to the past isn't an entirely novel concept to me, however, we are going to the 20th century, which is quite interesting. I mean, think about it, the 20th century of our real world, there are so many fascinating historical events. And it seems that they are putting in much more effort in portraying the zeitgeist of the era than FGO ever did. The artistic direction seems to be on point for this game.
Apparently there is a main character, with a canon personality and fully voiced dialogue. Hoyo making Honkai Impact 2.0's new MC a self-insert was the stupidest move, and I'm so glad that this game understands how much better a canon protagonist is. It really convinces me that they care about storytelling and characterization.
The general artistic direction is so impressive, but the game itself also surprises me.
The base rate of 6-stars is 1.5% (compared to Genshin and Star Rail's 0.6%) AND the soft pity starts at 60, with hard pity being at 70. There doesn't seem to be a weapon gacha and the dupes only increase skill multipliers instead of completely changing how a character can be played. At first, I thought it was unfortunate that pick-up rate was only 50%, but every character joins the standard pool, so losing the 50/50 won't be nearly as bad. Unless the gacha currency economy is completely fucked, this seems extremely generous.
The combat is thankfully not one of those god-awful auto-fights like Blue Archive or PriConne, but it's turn-based, which is much more engaging, allowing for challenging battles that actually pick your brain and require some skill.
However, there is an auto-mode for the mundane stuff, and get this, you can record your actions, rather than having an AI do everything wrong.
And thankfully, there is no PvP, so you don't need to compete with whales.
Knowing all this, I really have to wonder, where is the catch? There must be some huge flaw, right? It is as if the devs of Reverse: 1999 looked at all the complaints and criticism of all other gacha games, and just decided to address all of them.
As long as the game doesn't have a huge reliance on meta characters to clear endgame content and event-limited content and the writing doesn't absolutely suck, then this game might be the perfect gacha game. I'm so excited to give it a try!

Obey Me Vs TWST Vs Genshin Pulling Methods
Because these are 3 of the games I play the most and they all have a pulling/wishing system. And I wanna rank em.
1st Place - Genshin Impact
Look, I love TWST showcase system, but just in terms of luck, ability to get cool shit, and ease of use, Genshin wins.
It's simple to look through what you can get. You can get cool weapons alongside characters that are actually useful that are also ranked 5 star, and the luck system is pretty cool.
Maybe it's just me, but getting good pulls happens a lot, and there's rarely any wishes that I outright hate or that I get so annoyed with because I can't get something. And if I do get a 5 star character? Even better!
2nd Place - TWST
Yeah, Obey Me couldn't hold a candle to this. TWST was pretty close in beating Genshin, but the luck for TWST isn't as good as with Genshin, imo.
However, the showcases are super easy to look through, I can tell what I'm most likely to get from the showcases, and there aren't a shit ton of different cards that I can get, meaning that I can get doubles and therefore level up that card more.
Also, like Genshin, you can see how many pulls you have done. (Although, with TWST, instead of simply being told how many pulls you need for what, it has a progress bar, which is super nice.) (Also, this is from much later, but while TWST has less cards than Obey Me, they are better quality and have more stuff for the cards, so even if you get a regular card, it's still fun to have because of all the stuff you can do with it besides side stories and fights)
3rd Place - Obey Me
This is for both OG and NM because they basically have the same banner system.
But.... yeah.... Obey Me's banner system kinda sorta sucks. You can see the card you want front and center, yes, but trying to see what else you're likely to get is extremely difficult. Also, the luck on Obey Me fucking sucks, and it's a total cash grab.
Also, there's way too many different cards. I can't even tell you how many times I get new N cards every time I pull, and I've been playing for a long ass time. I rarely ever get a double card, and it's usually only for an N card I already have. (Cause, yet again, the luck system is shit.) (Although, getting gems from the pulls is ok. It's not great, but it's something)

So, yeah. This is just my ranking off of personal experience. I can't even tell you how badly I wanted to put TWST 1st, but I had to do what was right and do Genshin just of the luck and pity system.
Edit from later: Also, because I forgot to put this, while you do get a lot of free pulls for the regular banners in Obey Me, you don't actually get the currency to pull from the event banners very often. (I actually haven't gotten the little devil pull thingies in a long while) But in Twst, I can pull maybe once ever week and a half and for Genshin I can pull maybe every three weeks because I can easily get the currency.
(Edit from waaayyy later: There was a reblog talking about how twst pulling was better, and while it didn't really have much else regarding that besides how they personally felt, it did make me think for a minute. So, now that I'm thinking about it, maybe twst does have a better pulling system. Cause every card I've ever gotten off the showcases, I've used. Not just in battle, but in the Guest Room and on the home screen. Plus, if I get a double that I've already got full Uncapped on, I get something I can spend in the store for more backgrounds. So, while I'm in a sensible state of mind, I'm gonna say twst is probably better than Genshin simply because you use all the cards in twst at some point, and I could bet $20 y'all don't even glance at weapons if they aren't 4 star.)

Oooh~ can we get Yandere Ei and Yandere Yae miko x reader headcanons~ seperate please
I'll start with Yae Miko for now- I'm finally trying to finish Inzazuma's storyline so I really hope I can make this work.
If she's OOC, I apologize. I still need to get better at writing Genshin and I can take tips 😥
Possible spoilers for Genshin Impact's Inazuma storyline.
Yandere! Yae Miko Concept
Pairing: Romantic/Platonic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Stalking, Kidnapping, Threats, Manipulation, Implied murder, Protective behavior, Slight possessive behavior.
Yae Miko is a very mysterious individual and yandere.
She's a kitsune and used to be a close friend of the Raiden Shogun.
Wielder if Electro powers, she spends a lot of her time in The Grand Narukami Shrine as Guuji.
Despite this, she's somehow always where she needs to be to help someone in exchange for something
If you catch her attention she shows interest.
There's a good chance she'll know nearly everything about you while you know nearly nothing about her.
The kitsune has various opinions on humans.
They have such trivial arguments and she thinks of them pitiful and foolish at times.
Although, sometimes humanity peaks Yae's interest.
The Traveler is one of these examples.
You are the other.
Your origin doesn't peak her interest much in this case.
A friend of The Traveler, a merchant, or a poor Inazuma citizen...
The list could go on.
No, what matters to her is the fact you visit her shrine so often.
Your response is so cute to her for a human.
You find the shrine calming, a place for renewal.
You comment on the blossoms that surround it, how the air buzzes softly due to the Electro energy in the air...
In your mind... it gives you the most comfort in Inazuma.
Yae Miko finds your reasoning silly.
Sometimes humans are funny creatures.
Despite this, she welcomes you to her shrine.
You treat it and her with respect, so respect you'll get.
Similar to Kujou Sara you are a frequent visitor.
Nearly everyday you stop by to chat.
At first Yae Miko just had a mutual respect towards you.
Although soon she starts to grow a strange fascination towards you.
The familiar often humors herself with you while you visit the shrine.
She sometimes offers you books as she owns the Yae Publishing House and has an adoration of books.
Trust her, you'll enjoy the novels she picks.
She also enjoys a few pranks with you.
Her excuse is that if you want to be around so often, you have to indulge her in her antics at times.
Her yandere behavior is Manipulative, Protective, Possessive, and Obsessive.
She isn't sadistic and is more of a guardian.
Partly due to being a familiar-
The closest she gets is mischevious with her behavior rather than sadistic.
Harming you does not bring the kitsune joy.
Yae Miko is simply playful towards her darling.
She is a kitsune which does make her manipulative.
But she does it both for your interest and hers.
Yae Miko feels since she's so interested in you she should try to keep you alive and well.
If you aren't happy by her side? Well... you'll learn to.
The human mind is very fragile.
Yae Miko is a very observing yandere.
It's hard to tell her origins and she seems to know a ton about her darling.
After all, she'd be a poor guardian over you and her shrine if she didn't do her research, wouldn't she?
Her darling may not know she's a kitsune without the proper research.
That glow in her eyes is haunting, however.
Yae Miko also harbors protective feelings towards her darling.
She wants to keep those she cares for safe, even if she is blunt with them.
The kitsune would prove to be intimidating when protecting her newest curiosity.
She's strong and not many would get very far with opposing her.
Most of the time she likes to keep you at the shrine.
You like it there anyways, right?
If not, she always seems to hover close and keep and eye on you.
If you're in danger then she'll be there to help you.
Strangely it's nearly everytime-
At times, Yae Miko can be seen as possessive.
She eyes those around you with judgement, purple eyes scanning them to see if she needs to step in.
She doesn't want you bothered by visitors if you don't need to be.
Yae Miko also seems like the type who'd say threats so calmly it's terrifying.
She may even giggle afterwards.
It's amazing how you can get such reactions from humans with just a few words.
Yae Miko wouldn't necessarily kidnap.
She may encourage you more and more to her shrine, though.
If you stopped coming, however...
She finds herself stalking you to see what's wrong.
Only then would she maybe kidnap you.
Perhaps if you two fought or something she'd be a bit more forceful.
Murder is something she's in the middle with.
She probably could do it, she just finds threats and tricks more entertaining.
If she did trap you in the shrine with her, she acts rather patronizing.
If she kidnapped you it was for a reason.
You pushed her a bit too far.
No need to worry, in her eyes at least, she'll take care of you.
You always did find the shrine calming...
So hopefully you won't try/need to leave it anymore, right?

I have come up with a question.
Who I'd your favorite Genshin character and why?
By reading your fics I can't tell if it's zhongli or childe.
zhongli by leaps and bounds actually
i do love childe don't get me wrong; i just love zhongli far more
as for why, i wouldn't know how to word it in a way that wouldn't take me any less than writing CN took me LMAO
the reason why you might think childe is up there among my favorites (he is, he's just not as close to the top as you might think) i'd assume is probably because of the fics, yes? but the thing about the fics is while i've already mentioned i'm not exactly projecting onto childe nor, god forbid, using him as a self-insert for the author – i am more or less of the opinion that the way childe would love zhongli in a story would more often than not align quite well with the way i myself love zhongli as a character.
(which is why i find bgtea's eoos and jouicifer's npc so interesting)
so like- the reason why childe is usually the main pov character for my zhongchi fics is because i get to write how much i love zhongli as a concept via the lens of a character who would also love him in a similar fashion; only i also get to spice it up with childe's own character quirks, bc i think he's fascinating as well, just in a different direction.
that might be why i've yet to write a zhongli pov zhongchi: not as easy to write about how much i love the character's concept if he himself is the pov, and i feel like zhongli's way of loving childe as a concept wouldn't be able to fill a fic the same way it does the other way around. not that he doesn't love him! i just haven't figured out how to write that pov for that long yet.
if you're curious, i'd have to say my current favorites list goes kind of like this: zhongli way ahead of all the others, then wriothesley and neuvillette around the same realm, then navia, then kuki, then baizhu, then childe, and then like- in no particular order, furina, clorinde, diluc, jean, qiqi, xiao, xingqiu, chongyun, beidou, fischl, thoma, ayato, layla, yanfei, yaoyao, dehya, shenhe and most of the others. also to the side there'd be alhaitham, separate from the list, bc i love him but i also detest him in a particular way. i guess pity him is a better word, watching how the fandom treats him feels like taking physical dmg. if you're thinking of a particular artist like an outlier you're probably wrong, but i'm not going to point fingers bc why would i do that.
(i do have a handful of characters i dislike but in the spirit of not being an asshole i'm just not going to list them)
anyway- yeah that's pretty much it;; maybe one day i'll make a zhongli pov zhongchi and it'd be a bit clearer what i mean by that, but you know me, i don't control the inspiration ToT

how DILUC and KAZUHA ( seperate! ) would react after their s/o reached out to them after a bad day! this was a request from @lez-zuha i think?? i deleted all my requests but i remember this one please accept this as my peace offering for not posting a lot of genshin TT
- you barged in dawn winery, looking for your significant other, looking for comfort as well. fortunately for you, he was right there sitting and having a glass of wine.
- DILUC is a good person you can go to, especially because he cares a lot for you. and in love with you. and places you on top of anything else. and -
- anyway, he offers you to sit down and pours you a glass of wine, and asks you what's wrong, because you look like you've had a rough day. obviously
- you tell him what exactly happened that day and he feels guilty, the maids probably heard your conversation and felt guilty as well. he held your hand all the way through the last sentence you said.
- he's your emotional support buddy now. if you have a problem it's his problem now it's an extension
- and the maids are just staring at you two in awe
- offers you to go into the room with him to have a small nap :)
- waits for you to sleep first
- then he leaves you.
- FOR A GOOD CAUSE
- he asks the maids to prepare something that can make your last day any better :)
- he helps of course!
- the knights are also there. think of it as a little party
- once you wake up he isn't there with you, obviously. so you go out of the room to see a whole bunch of people with a whole bunch of food ( yum )
- you almost bawl your eyes out
- everyone had a good time in the end! maids had to clean up but of course you two helped out of pity
- once everyone had to leave, you two get proper alone time now in the room
- and then he accidentally makes you cry
- with all the sweet words he says it's like he knows exactly what you needed to hear
- you're probably not doubting than anymore actually
- and then your day is fixed!! you guys are so cute
- i want what you and KAZUHA have
- he probably just found you roaming around the harbor looking a little gloomy. and by gloomy i mean with no speck of life in your eyes
- walks up to you and you both end up going to the ship while you both talk about your day, starting with yours of course
- he's already pouting on the first sentence
- also one of the best people to go to
- you guys end up sitting on like one of the edges of the ship while your head in on his shoulder, his hand on your waist.
- and.. you end up crying because of his sweet words wtf, just like diluc, how does he always know what to say
- after like an hour-ish of lazing around, talking about your day, he offers to just walk around again, and he treats you !
- playing with the kids with the traveler and him too omg, so cute
- listening to story telling etc
- you guys basically did a whole checklist of what you guys wanted to do in liyue without realizing.
- and you both end the day drinking some sake with the crew <3

Headcanons for the feels✨
Fandoms(in order): BSD, Haikyuu, Genshin Impact
Characters: Nakajima Atsushi, Nakahara Chuuya, Dazai Osamu , Fukuzawa Yukichi, Iwaizumi Hajime, Kita Shinsuke, Hinata Shoyo, Arataki Itto, Kaedahara Kazuha, Cyno, Dainsleif

When you are feeling down Atsushi is no longer a cat, he becomes the best golden retriever boy you can find. I’m talking he will almost drop everything. He will constantly send you funny or cute videos, pictures, and messages. If he can he’d try to call you or even visit you when in break. When he finally comes home for the day you bet your ass he’d have some of your favorite snacks and meal along with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. They might not be your favorites but he did try and that is what makes you melt into a puddle. Cuddles you to sleep, partially for you and partially to make himself feel better.
Chuuya hates tears, or at least he hates crying in front of others and seeing you cry. He would rather step on a lake full of broken glass than have to see you cry. He goes through an array of emotions when he does see you cry, luckily his brain works fast and his face only shifts minimally so you don’t notice. He comforts you and wipes away the tears while asking what’s wrong hoping it wasn’t someone who had hurt you, and if it were that he could personally visit them when he’s already out working. While comforting you and getting the details, or lack of details sometimes, he gathers all the comfort items he has in his grasp. A nice glass of wine here, a cozy blanket there, topped off with an order from your favorite restaurant and your favorite movie playing on the tv. He will only relax once you are done crying and starting to perk up.
Yukichi understands people the most but that doesn’t mean he likes it. He is ok with feelings but he hates seeing his loved ones anything but happy or relaxed. I personally believe if he sees this in public his comfort will be more subtle because he doesn’t like initiating PDA but it’s an entirely different beast behind closed doors. Massages, a warm bath, your favorite meal that he prepared. Truly a king.
Dazai will do the most. Like, he’d test the waters with asking for a double suicide but the second it makes you upset he will be smothering you in kisses and hugs. He draws you goofy images and you I’ll send you cute little messages throughout the day. He will convince Atsushi and Kunikida to do the last remaining bits of work he has to leave early to get a few things for a pampering night ahead. He has the food, the flowers, the goofiness, and most of all the love. He manages to find some pictures from before he met you and told you the stories behind them.
Haikyuu:
Iwaizumi will pull you into his lap and just let you sit there cuddling into him with an arm around you while he does his own thing, usually work. He likes to have you in the room with him at the least but having you touching him soothes both of you the most. He will either cook a warm meal or get takeout for the both of you. He makes sure you do all the necessary things before bed to continue snuggles.
Kita would go out his way to pick some flowers himself to give them to you. He’d then make you something that his granny would make him when he’s down. He’d prefer if you were helping but would understand if you just wanted to be near him while making the food. He’d talk about his day and how the farm dog was extra helpful, he knew that would give him a little shift in your mood and maybe even your face shift into a small smile. He would 100% love bathing together. Seeing you physically relax makes him feel so much better that he can even start to describe.
Hinata is concerned and he shows it. He will do whatever in his power to get you to feel better. He will tell stories and even show you some funny pictures, usually of Kageyama looking constipated while he tries to smile. The ultimate golden retriever boyfriend. Would go out out of his way to just carry you because he can and will baby his baby. If he was out of the country or city he would be on the phone as much as possible along with sending pictures and even getting some of his teammates he knows you know to talk to you and send you silly pictures of Shoyo in practice, the more cursed the better!
Genshin Impact:
Itto will try everything from talk to you to tell you about his recent escapades to even lift random things, including you, to make you giggle! I feel like this man can only make one dish really well while others only taste decent and he will use this to his advantage. He will bring Granny Oni over too, she’s his secret weapon to help lift moods! Despite her being his secret weapon she also is doing it at his expense by telling baby Itto stories! He will pick flowers for you, doesn’t matter what type he will give you whatever one thinks would be enhanced by simply being near you.
Kazuha will play you songs or even sing. I think out of all these characters he’s most in tune with the emotions of those he holds dear. If you need him just to be near he knows before you say anything. If you want to talk he will start slowly by asking simple things like what you would like to eat and then ease into how you feel. Another King. Will let you play with his hair! Anything he can give you he will and does frequently. Loves to do crafts with you!!! His favorites are origami because sometimes you might need help and he loves to show you how.
Cyno might react one of two ways… he might go slightly rigid with annoyance if it were someone who made you feel this way but would get the detail fully before he goes out and settles it. BUT he might also just go rigid with awkwardness, he probably doesn’t have much interactions with many emotionally outside of work but he’s also a quick learner and talks to Tighnari for some help and find it’s easy to ease you once he’s confident in doing so. He likes holding your hand and rubbing gentle circles on it with his thumb while you talk about it. He’s a good listener and sometimes that’s the best but as I said he is a quick learner and will learn that sometimes talking isn’t what’s needed and it’s just his presence while you do your own things.
Dainsleif, my king. He is good at understanding and recognizing feelings, though he hates dealing with everyone but your feelings. He firmly believes honesty is the best policy even when it might not be the best to use right away. Helps get your thoughts in check and understands that his bluntness might not be the best but he slowly eases up on it. Likes to have you on his lap during the wind down of your day before bed. He is another person who would pick flowers but he knows flower language and tends to stay in the same zone with the flowers he picks. He is already getting takeout for the both of you when he picks the flowers. Before bed but after the in lap wind down he likes to pamper you by getting a bath ready for just you but he is willing to stay in the bathroom and either read to you or tell you stories.

Random headcanons I have for Genshin Impact characters!
So I posted at the beginning of the month that my inbox was open for requests, but I haven’t been sent anything yet. So I thought I would do something myself :)
Characters: Kaeya, Beidou, Tighnari, Fischl
*Note: ship implications in Beidou and Fischl’s, Alcohol mentioned in Beidou and Tighnari’s, and Modern/IRL AU hcs included in Fischl’s
Kaeya
-He would often get sick as a child, especially when Crepus first found him.
-Crepus would also try to keep Diluc away from him when he got sick.
-But sometimes he’d manage to sneak in and try to comfort him.
-Cannot draw to save his life.
-Albedo once tried to teach him, but gave up after realizing he could barely draw a stick figure.
-Sometimes, when Klee comes to him not being able to sleep at night, he’ll quietly go to the kitchen with her and sneak her a cookie

-She eventually develops a crush on Bennett.
-In fact, Fischl was one of few people (other than his dads) to truly care about him and not see him as a burden or pity him because of his unluckiness.
-(Modern/IRL AU) Insisted on running a D&D campaign with her friends, even if some of them didn’t know how to play properly. Regardless, she makes an excellent DM.

Arlecchino's banner is ending in a couple hours, and the second half is a skip for me, so here's the 4.6 rundown:
C6 Gorou from event (FINALLY)
C5 Amber and C6 Lisa from shop
C6 Xiangling (whatever) -> but it does mean C6 Amber in October will be the last constellation I can get from starglitter shop
Qiqi at 57 pulls (50/50 loss)
another 50 pulls on guarantee, with no result
Arlecchino's spear and Lyney's bow from weapon banner
C0 Chevreuse from weapon banner
The C0 Chevreuse is huge and worth the weapon banner, really. She's the only 4 star I wanted in Fontaine. My actual goal was Lyney's bow which I use on Childe. I think it actually looks pretty nice on him because of the colors, somewhat better than Polar Star, and since I mostly use him for overworld, the 10% movement speed with no conditions is nice.
I didn't get Arlecchino, in the end, but I'm basically guaranteed whoever I decide to get next. Really hoping that either Childe comes back soon or there's an early Natlan 5 star that I want. Otherwise, having the high pity might become a problem at some point.
To get that nice even roll number, I ended up doing acts 1 through 4 of Fontaine, though I'm not going to bother with act 5 for now. It's bound to be really long. This already unlocked the Fontaine commissions and reputation anyway, so that will get me some of the achievements I'm missing (currently at 1208 achievements), the updraft gadget, and the furnishing blueprints for Navia's and Arlecchino's teapot sets. So that's nice, I guess.
4.7 is looking like a full skip on main, and for alt... I do want to get Alhaitham before he goes to chronicled, but my alt has no savings, so I don't see it happening unless I am just obscenely, improbably lucky.
Speaking of 4.7, there's going to be a new permanent endgame mode, which looks like it was designed specifically to piss me off, since it has forced trial characters. Cool :) I hate it :) It'll replace one of the two Abyss resets per month, so I guess I can just log in once a month now, haha...
The Natlan leaks aren't really looking much better, though they're just subjective opinions about the exploration, which isn't very reliable. But if what they're saying is true, I'm not really excited for it. I didn't like Remuria exploration at all.
Additionally, the game has started to lag and freeze more. I know the issue is probably partly because of Youtube. I usually play some video in the background when grinding and doing dailies, and Youtube has been fucking around a lot, which probably causes problems for Genshin as well, but it doesn't really matter when the issue does exist. Given the the system requirements are supposedly going up for Natlan, I can only expect it to get worse.
It's going to be funny if what gets me to finally quit Genshin is that it becomes too unplayable lmao

day 40 of saving for jing yuan rerun: 182 wishes
i fell asleep before making a post yesterday
we are now at the point where if i somehow lose all of my pity i'll still be able to get a guaranteed jing yuan
the event is a little shorter than i expected but that's probably because of the simulated universe and other stuff that's also in this update
this is a wild stretch but in the final victor light cone description, dr ratio is referred to as "them". therefore, obviously, mihoyo intended for people (me) to interpret dr ratio as nonbinary, and the use of the pronoun them definitely wasn't for any other purpose such as keeping a mysterious air about the characters or anything
also a very big thing about the quest is that the trailblazer gets to talk for once
you can pick options and then the trailblazer will have a Voice Line, which is something that i almost forgot could happen
also there's several ace attorney cross examinations i mean debates, which feel less out of place as dr ratio does have the overall feeling of a debate kid
there's also at least 2 instances of this thing
which you may recognize from tingyun
the characters that do this in the quest don't quite do it to the same extent, but it's noticeably intentional and not just a tilting head to the side while talking thing
honestly i thought the second part of the quest with dr ratio was a lot more interesting than the first part with ruan mei
spoilers ahead probably
in the first part of the quest, it was basically just ruan mei telling you "oh i accidentally frankensteined and created life and now you need to help me take care of it" while also telling you to your face about how much she doesn't trust you
which nothing against ruan mei but it's not that enjoyable of a premise, just being told to do stuff for the hundredth time
whereas in the second part with dr ratio you get more independence and have to prove your innocence, which actually requires some thought and is to me personally more interesting than just being told to do something
i also liked that dr ratio is getting some screen time in the main quest instead of just suddenly showing up in a random character quest with no plot relevance or connection to other characters (i'm looking specifically at argenti), which i suppose might be because he's going to be a bridge character into 2.0, kind of similar to kazuha in genshin, so he can't just be dropped into the plot with absolutely no prior mention
and also once again the trial run characters with the hoyoverse builds are better than what i will ever be able to do, which is a little sad but oh well

Wait, how does pity work? I usually just pull and accept whatever I got, so I never understood how gacha works.
basically, it's like a system that tracks how many pulls you did since your last 5 star. Different games have different pity systems. In gbf, we have a spark system where if you still haven't gotten the character you wanted in the 300 pulls, you can just choose to buy them in the spark list for the banner.
For genshin and hsr, you get a guaranteed 5 star at your 90th pull. When you're at around 60, 70, etc, you start building up soft pity because the chances of you getting a 5 star is increasing more and more with every pull. I don't know the exact stats behind it but I typically just get a character by the 80th pull.
Ofc there's a little extra gacha in the genshin/hsr pity systems because sometimes you get a standard banner 5 star for your pity guaranteed character. This is called "losing the 50/50" because there's a 50/50 chance you get a standard banner character instead of the event banner character. But fortunately, after you lose the 50/50, you can have the event guaranteed character on your next pity guarantee. This is why it's generally recommended for players to save up at least 160 pulls if they want a specific event character really badly to ensure a full guarantee that they'll get that specific banner character. Once you get the event banner character, however, you go back to the 50/50 chance again and the cycle continues.
There are probably better explanations for the pity system from people more articulate than me but this is how I understand it ^^;

agreed. i play a lot of gachas, and genshin is BY FAR the most easy to save primos with. it was the first gacha with a guaranteed pity system(i think hi3 also had it at first but it wasnt as well known internationally), to the point that gachas like fgo had to add their own (wich is still way worse than genshin) of course, its still gacha, and still bad, but games like cr and arknights who get sold as "having a better system" really dont have it, nor do they have a guaranteed pity in the first place.
The other two gachas i was big into before genshin were love live school idol festival and cookie run ovenbreak back in the day, and both of them were WAY more predatory than genshin imo like purely in terms of how the game itself and the gacha worked. Love live was evil because no matter how much you pulled you weren't really guaranteed anything above SR rarity which was insane in retrospect like i legit played that game for like two years without getting a single UR card, while cookie run was like. The sort of game that becomes completely unplayable unless you have the most recently released character because that's how bad the powercreep was. The thing about genshin is that technically you ARE able to get through the entirety of the storyline and exploration using only the characters they give you (traveler, kaeya, lisa, amber, xiangling, noelle, barbara, collei... That's quite a few at this point). Does anyone actually play like that? Pretty much only masochistic gamer youtubers tend to do that but still it IS technically an option for someone who doesn't give a single shit about collecting characters or fighting and mainly cares about exploring. I absolutely would still NOT recommend the game to someone who has a history of gacha addiction or who has a tendency to develop addictions in general because ofc it's inherently a bit evil by virtue of being a gacha but tbh that goes for any gacha on god's green earth

'powercreep' in genshin is only an issue if you're some kind of hardcore spiral abyss player#i do not touch spiral abyss with a 3 foot pole BUT my boyfriend who's also f2p plays it regularly and gets through it fine#like genshin is very much a game that does encourage you to try different character combinations and to keep using your faves even if they#get powercrept because a lame ass character by themselves can be helped a lot with the right supports#i know that whales will dump a character as soon as a new better one comes out#but I'm not like that i persevere as a diluc main even if he SUCKS forever#asks#anonymous
