Within the Loki series, taken out of who Loki was in phases 1-3, Lokius is seriously growing on me.

Loki and Mobius have a great bond, built on support and understanding.

Sylki is selfcest, Loki x Loki. We won't be missing out on anything. (In fact, I think it'd be for the best). I can easily see this going on the romance route.

But from what I remember, I wouldn't call it queerbaiting. Nor would I cite it as a reason to ship them.

My reason is good mlm representation from Disney.

There are a lot of straight couples in the MCU. (Almost) Every main hero is in some heterosexual relationship, Loki included.

And that's not even all the relationships, there are more.

But in the LGBTQ+ department... uh.. I think it was mentioned that Valkyrie had a girlfriend... uh... America Chavez had a pride pin... and Loki:

Wow!! How brave!! That is trurly MAGNIFICENT!! Cynicism aside, I'm sure the writers cared for the representation. I don't know them. But in the context of the MCU doing the bare minimum, it's icky.

One might argue that Loki is bisexual, therefore it's biphobic to suggest that he has to be in a gay relationship in order to be bi enough. Let me be clear, you are bi enough regardless of who you date.

However, as a bisexual person myself, I strongly disagree. The MCU has been giving us nothing but crumbs. Disney doesn't give a fuck about good representation. They want to attract queer wallets, but still keep it short enough to delete the scene for Russia and China. Us queers deserve better.

There was an opportunity to break out of this pattern, to give us an exploration of a queer experience. But we weren't given that. Time and time again, we aren't given that. And I fundamentally reject the notion that it's biphobic to criticize them for it.

Lokius could have been the MCU's first healthy queer relationship of a main character that is given an arc. I'm rooting for them all the way.

I haven't gotten around to watching the Pjo episodes but saying Clarisse,who's played by a tween black actress,'looks like a monster' and Luke,who's played by a nonblack dude who the writers know's character is gonna spend the series being a serial child abuser and even a multiple time ped0phile with one of his target's being the darkskin black fem mc(Annabeth),'looks like a good guy' is certainly.......dialogue,that's for sure

Truly fascinating the way that some people will literally miss the point of a story due to their own bias. People saying 'Ursula wasn't the bad guy in the Little Mermaid because she outlined everything that would happen in the contract'

Ariel was a child. She was sixteen.

She didn't have a supportive family when she was interested in Eric, and her interest in the surface world was punished. I think people sort of forget that when Ariel bursts out she loves Eric, Triton literally smashes everything she's carefully collected over what is probably years. Imagine if all the things you adored and cared about, your hobbies, your favourite items, were smashed to pieces in front of you by your own father.

Like, Triton is literally an asshole for that and it wouldn't fly today- (in fact breaking things is a very big red flag for an abusive family member- especially the way Triton does it in a full on rage). And Ursula is NOT the good guy here, she takes advantage of Ariel who is a desperate terrified teenager who wants to get away from her dad who just smashed up her sanctuary.

So if you thirst over Ursula cos she's a villain and you like that- go ahead, that's fine. But don't pull this nonsense of Ursula 'Not being that bad' and 'Not actually a villain' Because She Is. And honestly, so is Triton.

Who wants to read a short little thing about Vulon fighting Harkon. It's mostly unedited so like feedback is fine but I'm also so casual abt my writing , mostly I want to know it'll it flows nicely and my sentence structure isn't too repetitive, 2 things I have always struggled with

I feel like a lot of shows have fallen flat for me recently. Specifically the Disney shows with star wars, marvel, and pjo. There's no weight to anything.

Fight scenes feel slow and blows don't ever look like they actually hit.

Marvel in particular is bad about relying too strongly on humor. It makes all the characters seem like two-dimensional copies of eachother when their only personality is quips.

Pacing is always wrong and they never fully establish a connection to characters. Most scenes are just standing and talking. There's nothing that actually makes me care about the story

Even the sets feel flat. They feel too clean, too sterile, never lived in. They look like sets.

At All Costs - Collaboration, Part One

While I'm waiting my two friends to finish their homework for my 'At All Costs' Collaboration Challenge in Instagram, I'm just gonna post one of my friends' breathtaking artwork which I couldn't believe this would be the best one so far for both Disney and Dreamworks

(I got the inspiration after realizing your challenge comes to an end. I also watched some videos how some movies like Wish, Kung Fu Panda 4 and etc. could be better and are not worth and how animated studios are only for money now. Which honestly made me disheartened. It's true that those movie are not masterpieces and I agree with critisism of missed opportunities, but now these later days feels like venting out frustration. And it makes a little sad as despite their mediocrity I find them enjoyable (there is always something to enjoy) and I do like characters. Also same for Mickey who is now in free domain. And the song fits perfectly as I want them to protect and show my love. I do believe these movies are just pilots that needs to explore, with time and right ideas for storytelling. Puss in Boots, ROTTMNT, Elemental, even Disney Pinnochio went through something similiar and now there are very loved and accepted. Only thing I want is give these movies and characters a chance to grow and explore as well.

I draw this because I love these characters and I wanted to show my love and protection. Those movies might not be masterpieces, but I still find them enjoyable and I love these characters.

I feel like a lot of toh fans are sensitive to any critisism of the show or Dana, like I know it got screwed over by Disney and that wasn’t ok how they handled Dana and the show, but she and everyone who worked on the show are only human, and humans make mistakes. No person is flawless and no show is flawless. You are allowed to enjoy a show even if it’s flawed, and you are allowed to critisice a show even if it got cut short. Critisism does not mean hating. Pleasantly surprised by the fact that "X-Men '97" is adapting all these 80s Claremont-Classic-Stories even though the show is literally called "X-Men '97". But seeing "Trial of Magneto" while watching them set up "Live Death" at the same time and getting Madelyn Pryor baited was just so great, as was the fact that they choose Sunspot as the new Jubilee for the opening episode, you can just feel the love there and we get proof again why "X-Men: The Animated Series" was the best adaption of the Comics and that the sucessor is sticking to the reasons for that.

I will even take and swallow the Magneto-Rogue-Gamibt-Love Triangle for that. (No, I was never a fan of that, but yeah, it is Canon after all....)

And sure, I read some critisism of Disney sanatizing "Trial of Magneto", but they kept it vague in his speech on purpose, so it could apply to everyone (and most people know what backstory he is referring to anyways). I mean, yes, that Canon definitly has a Kitty Pryde shaped hole in it and really should fix that, but they still did great work with one of the most important X-Men-Storylines, so I am contend.

And kind of Magneto-spoiled at the moment. Because just before seeing the episodes I read "Resurrection of Magento #2", and let me tell you this was the best X-Comic in years, so great. If you have given up on reading the Comics in the last years, just go out and buys this issue anyways (you really don't need to know what is going on beyond the summary on the first page), you won't regret it. It is a reminder why Magneto is one of the best Characters that ever came out of Marvel Comics (when written by the right people that is) and that the X-Titels are on the verge to return to Pre-Krakoan strenght (hopefully at least, might just have been an odd one out, but I have hope).

I feel sad for Tae, this is obviously a stunt and I doubt he agreed to do it for clout and exposure, he didn't seem happy to do it and he is not feeding it in any way so that leave of some other options, I think it was more about providing a cover for tk, I don't think it's a coincidence that it happened just before both of their solo debut, jk's being international makes things more high scale too, so jk is also benefiting from this without dealing personally with the hard stuff, I won't argue that this has made tae even more popular but he's being attacked constantly, people making everything about him about this woman and prepared to make his hard work about her too, calling him a coward and making fun of him with 5k likes, always being on the news bc of "dating" it's also not necessarily a good thing, your fans calling you a liar and thinking that you are ball less when you are one of the bravest ppl out there mustn't be nice, ppl insulting even his family and this situation created a bunch of ppl obsessed with his privacy and personal life, like some army won't admit it on public but they have whole gcs for gossipping and he is the focus, and all bc yg and hybe are using him for this media circus, and this all before caring about his artistry and considering how Tae has been acting like him posting that wake up song tht has a clear message just after the Bruno Mars concerts when all the social media rockus was about tn, him coming out of the airport and doing a live immediately to show us that he is alone....yeah I doubt this doesn't bother him at least a bit, he is someone with a lot of integrity, what I'm saying is that it pains me to see the situation and it started to annoy me to see everyone benefit from it, jennie and YG, jennie is being victimized big time in twitter and every critisism done to her about stuff like her actions and lack of effort in concerts it's pin down to ppl 'jealousy' of her dating Tae, no critisism is valid now even the ones coming from her own fans and ppl are super defensive of her, even more than before, and jk too....this lifted some of the gay rumors just in time for his international debut ( I don't think this is coincidental) and I know this bc when Jennie dropped those pics so many comments from different accounts not even armys or shippers were ppl cheering bc 'tk is so not real' and ppl thinking in what should be just a typical gay kpop ship first thing everytime those rumors break tells me that deep down a lot of ppl thought or feared that there was some truth in tk and are relieved and happy that it's being 'debunked', I guess this is part the goal, a bit of protection for the both of them but yeah I don't like it that's Tae just dealing with all the bad stuff and jk only getting the benefits, at least that's how it looks bc obviously we don't how he feels emotionally but facts are facts and the one dealing with the worst of all is taehyung, lots of new ot6 accounts, ppl didn't leave jk bc of this rumor as much as tae, ppl aren't calling him liar and a pussy in mass scale, he doesn't have to see his face on the news bc of dating rumors, he is seeing it bc of the success of his music that hybe pushed ( which I think it's really deserved bc he has worked hard his whole life) but things don't look fair to me in regards of Tae,how fitting it was Tae saying that he would take the responsibility sometimes I wonder if that's the dynamic of their relationship.

Yeah, this is the worst part of being in showbizz really. I agree that Tae probably isn’t unaffected by this, though I hope he has maintained a bit of distance from social media. The way it looks now, I think he agreed because it’s a fairly short stunt (only one walk for him, and the rest is mostly done by fandom) and it probably allows him more freedom in the long run. I feel his post with the Disney hoody is rather pointed. Reclaiming his true self a bit. I don’t think it’s been mainly to hide Taekook, but rather to make it seem that he (also) dates women. I’m quite curious to see how the launch of his album will go (in general, but also regarding this).

I don’t agree that Jk benefits from this without doing anything himself. Jk has been deemed ‘straight’ the last couple of weeks because of Seven. He didn’t need Tae to do Taennie, since to most of fandom and the general public Tae and him are just friends. They’ve successfully hidden that way for years now, and only now something like this is happening. I really suspect it’s because of Tae’s album, and because he wants to be able to be more himself in general. People are sadly enough more inclined to accept/ignore a hint of queerness when a man very publicly dates a woman. We’ll see soon I suppose, since his album is probably going to be released soon.

I think Tae and Jk are very connected. Jk’s tears when Tae’s grandmother died tells me that he is not immune to Tae’s hurt at all. I therefore think that Jk will also have hurt because of this Taennie thing. If not for himself it will have been for Tae. There’s no benefit in standing by while your partner is rumored/shipped with someone else. That hurts! Jk is also a very feeling, emotional person.. it took him quite some days to come on live again after the Paris stuff. You don’t come this far in a relationship (that is already complicated) by letting one person carry the brunt of it.

In No Particular order (bearing in mind I'm viewing this as my favourite princess movie to mean I actively like the princess character in that movie, so no villain faves)

Beauty and The Beast - as a child I too vastly preferred books to people and was lost in my own world for a majority of the time. Getting to hang out in a creepy castle seemed like an excellent situation and I liked to pretend I could talk to my furniture too. As an adult? Boy howdy go Belle you funky little monsterfucker. (*intense* disappointment that the Beast became human remains. Like. Unimaginable. Put Him Back.)

Pocahontas - so this got tainted a little bit as I got older due to very valid critisisms of romanticising and rewriting a very unpleasant portion of history - but man alive I don't think there's many movies that come close to this films soundtrack or vibe. There's a terrible blurry video somewhere of my mum in 1999 badly singing 'Just Around the Riverbend' in vain attempt to make me go to sleep. Even as a child I was pedantic about her getting the lyrics right and to this day Colours of the Wind gets me right in the feels.

Mulan - I'm sorry did you mean the most badass and hilarious movie in the disney catalogue. Mulan was a Hard Mood for my childhood and a decent part of the inspiration to start martial arts. Mushu is fantastic (fight me), Mulan herself is deeply relatable and a thrilling protagonist, and BOY the abrupt cutoff of 'a Girl Worth Fighting For' still gives me shivers. Categorical banger of a film.

In a month this roster will likely change again and I've come to realise most of my disney faves arent in the princess catalouge, whodathunk. Thanks for the ask!

About Disney's "Primos" And The Complexities of the Latino Experience

---This post is not against US born Latinos or Latinos born and raised outside of Latinoamerica---

Since the recent release of the trailer for Disney's new cartoon Oye Primos or simply Primos it has been quite the talking point in the Latin community. Simply put, no one from LatAm likes it. From the grammar mistake in the title, the names of the characters, the name of the town, it's setting, the use of sterotypes and the creators comments. So lets see why this is. For clarification I'm a latino born and raised in LatAm who learned english as a second language and who have only ever lived in LatAm, I am from a large working class family.

I think the reason why so many latinos hate Primos and call it bad representation or even racist is because we don't realize that the show wasn't made by us or for us. It was made by mexican-americans (It's based on the creators childhood) and its made to resonate with the latino diasporas in the US.

However, this show rubbed the whole Latino community the wrong way because of the lack of understanding of Latino culture shown in just the intro. It's not Latino culture or a Latino experience what is being shown, it's a Latino-American experience and Latino-American culture. But the creator doesn't acknowledge this and only gives some weird defensive responses that doesn't really respond to any of the critisism. Not to mention the comments made which call Mexico a "Shithole".

So yeah, I think we Latinos are mad because its yet again a Latino-American speaking over us yet claiming to be one and the same as us LatAm born and raised Latinos. It's ok to show Latino-American experiences, it's actually great! But it would be nice to finally see something that ACTUALLY represented my experience and the experience of my fellow LatAm born Latinos... Just a rant and some food for thought.

So I will sometimes listen to music while writing but it depends upon the emotion I want to convey at that particular time. My taste in music is eclectic to say the least. Breaking Banjamin, Evenesance, Creed, Imagine Dragons, Skillet, 3 Doors Down, Avatar 1 & 2 Soundtracks, Disney Songs, etc... Just depends on my mood.

That being said I mainly write with the TV turned on and a mindless show playing in the background. The Office, Doctor Who, My 600lb Life, The Last of Us, The Big Bang Theory, Great British Baking Show, Forged in Fire, Cutthroat Kitchen, Project Runway, Terra Nova, Etc... Just to name a few I've watched episodes of while writing recently. 😅 I'm just an eclectic person.

They do actually. My husband knows and has read a little. My sister's all ask me about my stories frequently, and they told my parents and now my mom is an avid reader of Storms of the Past. I have friends that know as well. What can I say I'm a nerd and proud of it!

Storms of the Past is my sweetest one so far. I love a good "Tonowari & Ronal adopt Spider" fic and in SOTP Spider is a little kid when they adopt him and there are a lot of sweet Spider and his family moments.

Home is a close second. It's a oneshot between Quaritch and Spider, while they are on the Sea Dragon, before the raids on the villages.

I, and I cannot stress this enough, LOVE THEM!!! I adore reader interaction of any kind. I love hearing what others think of my works, love hearing ideas from my readers and will try to include them if I can. Constructive critisism is also gladly accepted as that helps me improve my writing.

🦅 Do you outline fics or fly by the seat of your pants?

A bit of both. I have an idea of where I want my fics to go and have a few major plot points planned out, but don't worry about every little detail to get there. I will outline chapters before writing but that's about it.
