Demifluid Combo Flags
Hi, everyone! I made some demifluid combo flags to indicate which gender one has that's static. I know others have made similar flags before, but I couldn't quite find what I was looking for and wanted to be thorough.
I'm happy to add even more combos if anyone requests one. I'll also happily post combos with demifaun, demifaunet, demifae, demifaer, demiflor, and demifloren upon request. (I already made them but didn't want to clog anyone's dash more than I already am).
Anyway, here they are:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Demifluid man on the left, demifluid woman on the right.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Demifluid neoboy on the left, demifluid neogirl on the right.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Demifluid proxvir on the left, demifluid juxera on the right.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Demifluid agender on the left, demifluid neutrois on the right.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Demifluid androgyne on the left, demifluid maverique on the right.

hey...so i don't know if i'm nonbinary or just a weird girl, but like...i dunno i don't really identify fully as female? like i'm cool with it i guess, but definitely prefer to look/act androgynous, as well as use an androgynous nickname and prefer they/them pronouns, though i am alright with she/her too. i've never really 'been like other girls' (which sounds cringey but it's the best way i can explain it), and recently i've started getting really uncomfortable/dysphoric about my chest, binding it most of the time and wearing clothes that hide my figure more. i started questioning if i'm nonbinary a few months ago (i'm 14) and came out to a friend telling her that i'm mostly just questioning but pretty sure i'm not entirely female, switching between simply identifying as demigirl/demifluid and nonbinary. i'm not sure if i'm actually nonbinary but it does feel mostly right, but the thing is my family and i are very religious, and it goes against the beliefs to transition, even socially, so i'm very conflicted about whether i'm 'allowed' to use they/them pronouns or a more androgynous/masculine nickname. sorry if this is just a rant that makes no sense i'm super confused and conflicted
hi friend! if being nonbinary is what makes you feel good and comfortable theeen use it! youre allowed to do whatever makes you feel better about yourself.

Gender Update
Lots of questioning has been happening over the past couple of weeks (indeed, over the past year), and because this blog is meant to document my experience as well as share my journey, my works, and my philosophies, I have chosen not to omit any original introductions from this page.
I will always pin posts and tag them #mypresentjourney to keep people in the loop.
I was finding it especially difficult to gather a sense of how I could convey both the manifoldness and specificity of my identity. Considering pronouns and titles was surprisingly unhelpful because it was focussed on external perceptions rather than attempting to describe my experience. I found much more ease exploring through lists of identities.
If anyone else wants to try this, I had a general realm of what I roughly lay in and amalgamated a bunch of congruent terms (for example, nonbinary umbrella - just finding all the different nuanced forms; or seeing what and if feminine associated titles were all right). I added ones I also had never considered, ones I had felt uncomfortable with in the past, fun ones I found delightful, ones I would never use in public but were descriptive. I was both trying to challenge myself and really hone on how I'd feel comfortable presenting (and also if you're new to the community, it's a great way to see the diversity therein).
The list came out like this (you are free to use this template/make yours prettier/etc.):

I listed them all and wrote down explanations about why I did, didn't, or maybe liked them the evening before, then reordered them like this while I had breakfast in a café.
For example, demigirl was a term I didn't mind a year ago. Now, I realise that was me clinging to womanhood and doesn't actually have resonance with who I am.
Conclusion
Here is my current standing:
Nebulaic and nebulous will always be terms that make me happy.
More frequently, though, I really love transandrogynous. Realising I'm trans for me is finally embracing that I'm not a woman and I don't have to force myself to fit into that anymore. I can transition into that androgyny - it's incredibly liberating.
Nonbinary is always a comfortable term - it's well-known, it's easy to describe to people without getting into details, and it's nebulous enough to be fluid. It also implies rejecting strict binaries which I like.
Gender expansive indicates the encapsulating nature of how I bring in masculinity and femininity and other beautiful pieces into my androgyny, and that I'm not confined to a box.
I'm still figuring out my relationship with femininity and masculinity, I'm still exploring who I am, but I've realised that I'm definitely predominantly (as the list probably indicates) most comfortable with androgyny.
Wherever you are at, you are lovely and deserve so much love and respect, and you will find your way. Hopefully this little exercise helps you like it did me.
With love, T.C.

Yo
Gender is confusing. I first labelled myself as trans, then boyflux, genderflux, and now genderfluid but none of them really fit or stick with me.
-
I’m not 100% sure if you’re asking for advice or similar labels or just describing your experience, so hopefully this response is okay! /lh
You don’t have to label yourself if you don’t really feel like anything fits, and it’s okay if a label doesn’t work for you. Going with the best fit or just going entirely unlabeled is a totally valid experience, as is wanting to find something that fits better.
I’m not quite sure what direction to go in if you were wanting a list of labels, but here are a few that sound similar to ones you’ve used in the past?
Genderqueer (an umbrella term for any non-normative experience with gender)
Fluidflux (a gender that is both fluid and fluctuates)
Genderfaun (a gender that is fluid between non-feminine genders, such as masculine genders and neutral/androgynous/other non-feminine genders)
Genderfaunet (a gender that is fluid but never feels like a binary woman)
Demifluid (a gender that is partially static/doesn’t change and partially fluid/does change)
Demiflux (a gender that is partially static/doesn’t change and partially fluctuates)
Demifluix (a gender that is partially static/doesn’t change and partially fluid and fluctuates)
Alexigender (a gender that is fluid but you cannot tell what genders you are fluid between/what gender(s) you identify as at any given time)
Quoigender (an individual that feels as if gender identity/existing gender terms don’t apply; an individual that is unsure of their gender identity; an individual with a complicated relationship to gender; an individual that doesn’t understand gender)
Egogender (a gender that is best described as just feeling “you” e.g. “what’s your gender?” “I’m just me”/“me”)
All the underlined terms link to a wiki with further explanation/examples!
Hopefully this was somewhat what you were looking for, and remember that gender can easily be a complicated, confusing thing. It’s okay not to know right away, and it’s okay to never know. You should always go with whatever feels best to you. Good luck with your self-discovery journey!
Also, feel free to send in another ask with further clarification if you were looking/hoping for something else!

We just finished the whole LGBTQ flag merge game, and it was surprisingly helpful! So we wanted to make a collection of all the flags/terms in it (so far.)
The idea is, if anyone gets curious about a term, we tell them it's definition.
If any term is offensive in any way, please let us know; we are listing off the app.
The list is in the order on the app, so if it's a bit confusing, blame it on the app.

Thinking I may be agender AND genderqueer AND demigender
So I’ve been calling myself agender for a little while, and while I do generally like the word and feel it describes me, I’m not sure that it’s entirely accurate, but I realized it’s okay to use multiple labels depending on who your talking to about your gender.
Why I use agender to describe myself
So I definitely could just say nonbinary, and I do sometimes, but other times I prefer to say agender because it describes that I don’t feel at all like a man or woman, I feel nonbinary, and mostly I feel genderless. I like calling myself a boy and feel gender envy for boys and still feel minor dysphoria, but it’s not in the regular way of wanting to necessarily be a boy. I feel more comfortable with the idea of calling myself a boy when cis people can view it as more so a label to the role I connect to and to the idea of queering gender roles. I feel less comfortable if they think I say I’m a boy because I actually feel a little bit like a boy. Agender I think communicates that disconnect.
Why not just say you’re genderqueer?
I could just say I’m genderqueer because I do think it describes my want to look a way which doesn’t exist for binary people (in between the two genders. Kinda androgynous), it also explains wanting to look queer and why my sexuality is so important to me (I’m sapphic/queer), as well as feeling like I’m queering gender by rewriting the rules and allowing myself to use whatever words I want to describe myself despite not actually feeling like a man at all. So I do like the word, and I like that in that way although the word is genderless it does have vague ideas of gender, but I feel like it’s more about your presentation and gender fuckery and I think I just haven’t figured all that stuff out enough yet. Plus I wouldn’t be comfortable telling cis/het people I’m genderqueer because they wouldn’t understand it and would wind up viewing it the same as nonbinary anyways.
Being demigender but not using the label
So I feel like demigender describes me best, but it’s not a very understood word unfortunately. Even within our community, demigender is mostly understood as a umbrella term used for demigirl, demiboy, and demifluid individuals. For me, I feel the label demigender IS my gender, not an umbrella term (kind of like I feel genderqueer describes me despite being an umbrella label). I connect to it because it essentially describes people who feel mostly agender yet have little hints of gender feelings. That’s me! I feel like 90% agender but I have vague grey areas that feel a little gendered? It’s confusing, but I essentially realized despite not actually being a man, I do like the role of a soft boy a lot and feel like that’s kinda gender for me? But I don’t feel like a demiboy because it’s too faint of a feeling to fully identify with it. It’s like a I half identify with being a demiboy, half with being a femme lesbian, but mostly identify with being agender.
All that being said, I’m nonbinary AF! But I like having other labels to better define my experience, and it’s okay to use multiple labels! Even if they kind of contradict each other

Demifluid
Tumblr media
Demifluid is a gender in which one's gender is partially genderfluid with the other part(s) of one's gender being static. The static part of the gender can be any gender or combination of genders. For example, one's gender could be partly woman while the other part is fluid between between man and a non-binary gender.
Demifluid was coined by an unknown at an unspecified point, however it has been around since at least 2016.
The demifluid flag was coined by a deactivated Tumblr account on or before July 28th of 2016. It has no confirmed meaning.
A demifluid boy is someone who is demifluid with the static part of their gender being a boy, boy-related, or generally miaspec. The fluid part of their gender can be between any genders.
Tumblr media
A demifluid girl is someone who is demifluid with the static part of their gender being a girl, girl-related, or generally fiaspec. The fluid part of their gender can be between any genders.
Tumblr media
A demifluid non-binary person is someone who is demifluid with the static part of their gender being a non-binary gender. The fluid part of their gender can be between any genders.
Tumblr media
A demifluid androgyne person is someone who is demifluid with the static part of their gender being androgyne or generally liaspec. The fluid part of their gender can be between any genders.
Tumblr media
A demifluid xenic person is someone who is demifluid with the static part of their gender being one or more xenogenders, a xenic gender, or generally xiaspec. The fluid part of their gender can be between any genders.
Tumblr media
A demifluid outherine person is someone who is demifluid with the static part of their gender being an outherine gender like aporagender, or generally aiaspec. The fluid part of their gender can be between any genders.

Hi so I’m very confused about my gender identity at the moment and wondered if you could help? I’m mostly extremely dysphoric about my chest (I’m afab) and don’t identify as female (but I’m closer to female than male?) and I’m definitely not male but don’t necessarily know if I would count as sorta-female or non-binary or something else? Idk thanks
I want to start by saying that only you know how you feel and I can't tell you how to identify.
That being said, if nonbinary, female, and perhaps demigirl all make you uncomfortable, maybe girlflux is a good fit? If you feel mostly like you have no gender, librafeminine may be a good fit. If you feel like a mix of genders, perhaps androgyne would be a good fit.
For more broad terms, I would say nonbinary and demigender would be more of a catch-all term - or genderfluid or demifluid if it is fluid - or genderflux or demiflux if it is the same consistant genders that fluctuate in intensity. Just throwing some stuff out there since I don't have tons to go on.
Here are some definitions:
Demigirl: a non-binary gender in which one is partially, but not fully, a girl/woman. They may or may not identify as another gender in addition to being partially a girl.
Girlflux: individuals can fluctuate from feeling completely without gender or agender to completely feminine or female. (Note that the key difference is that demigirl is more of a constant female gender intensity whereas girlflux fluctuates more - and it doesn't just have to be agender and female, it could be other genders too.)
Librafeminine: a gender in which one is mostly agender but experiences a small amount of attachment to being feminine and/or have a connection with girl/womanhood (sometimes 1-49%, but can be greater or less). It's similar to demigirl, but is more specifically partially feminine and partially agender, with the agender part outweighing the feminine part, while demigirl is partially female, partially any other gender(s).
Androgyne: an identity under the non-binary umbrella. It is described as being simultaneously male and female or in between male and female, or as being simultaneously masculine and feminine or in between masculine and feminine.
Genderflux: a term for those whose gender fluctuates in intensity. It can be thought of as a form of genderfluid where agender is the base. Genderflux individuals can fluctuate from feeling 0% gendered (agender), to being 100% a given gender.
Demigender: a group of genders, in which one is partially, but not fully a given gender. It can also describe those who feel a slight connection to a gender, but not enough to fully identify as that gender.
Demifluid: a gender in which one's gender is partially genderfluid with the other part(s) of one's gender being static. The static part of the gender can be any gender or combination of genders.
Demiflux: a form of demigender where part(s) of one's gender fluctuate in intensity, while the other part(s) are static. The static part can be any gender or combination of genders. The fluctuating part can be any genderflux identity or combination of identities.
Hopefully that helps or at least gives you a place to start!

Ok, so we’ve got boy, girl, and enby for short hand gender terms. Let’s try and figure out some others!
Man = Boy (“I’m a boy.”)
Woman = Girl (“I’m a girl.”)
Nonbinary = Enby (“I’m an enby.”)
Androgyne = Andro (“I’m an Andro.”)
Bigender = ??? (I can’t think of one for this.)
Genderfluid = Flood (“I’m a flood.”)
Genderflux = Flux (“I’m a flux.”)
Genderqueer = ??? (I can’t think of one for this either.)
Demiboy = Deboy (“I’m a deboy.”)
Demifluid = Deflood (“I’m a deflood.”)
Demiflux =Deflux (“I’m a deflux.”)
Demigender = Denby? (“I’m a denby.”)
Demigirl = Degirl (“I’m a degirl.”)
These are just ideas I have. I do not identify as MOST of these genders so if you want to add on or have critiques feel free to add them to this post. I also know that these aren’t all the genders so feel free to add anymore you want. :)
