oooooooooo!!! Chainsaw man!! I recently started watching it but I’m not far enough to meet angel devil (I’m only on episode 6 lol but…manga). Only reason I know about him is because of a friend that introduced me to CSM. 🫡 hope I portrayed this accurately!

He has noticed your…less than positive attitude as you tend to push a lot of things off at the last minute. He knows you’re powerful and smart but he just wishes you would actively apply yourself more

He hasn’t gotten used to your…weird cravings. Sure people have different tastes, just look at Cater, but sometimes he just…wonders

A liar would say that Riddle wasn’t absolutely smitten with you while the redhead himself would say “off with your head” in response

Leona always kept his thoughts to himself and that included his interest in you. You were different than many people he’s met. Guess that’s why he fell for you…hard

When you told him that you were an Angel Devil, his first question was literally “what?” When you explained what it was, he honestly couldn’t care less because why should that one fact dictate his love for you

Leona isn’t a very outgoing man and that kind of goes hand in hand with his public displays of affection with you. Still, doesn’t mean he can’t enjoy your touch over his gloved hands

When it comes to covering his skin, the only thing he has going for him is his gloves. However, since cuddling is a necessity between you two, a big blanket or required

Leona is pretty similar to you: having immense power and intelligence but never really applying it daily. Its just so tiring sometimes yknow?

Leona finds your cravings…weird, but not uncommon. Some people in the Afterglow Savanah are pretty picky like him but he’s seen others eat their fair share of things he would never touch with a ten foot fork

Someone could say that Leona truly doesn’t love you while the lion beastman will personally turn them into sand

Azul has met his fair share of people, both human and non-human, but you were a special case. It’s no wonder he fell for you the moment he first saw you

When you told him what you were, he was admittedly…confused. Please explain. Once you do, and he finally grasps the situation at hand, he just kind of shrugs the motion off. So what if he can’t touch your bare skin? Is he just supposed to stop loving you now?

Azul prefers to save his love for you when you’re in more private situations but you’re always attached at the hip regardless, gloved hands always touching somewhere on the other

Azul wears a lot of long and thick clothing so he’s never opposed to simply holding your hand. Cuddles will need a blanket and kisses will need to be covered but he’s just about ready to whatever it takes

Azul awes at your capabilities and marvels at your strength. If only you could apply yourself more! He would love to see you flex your power in person some day

Azul has met people with some…strange cravings but you take the cake. He knows it’s what you like and he never judges you for it but who in all of Twisted Wonderland could stomach Jade’s mushroom dishes every day?

Nevertheless, he truly does love you and is willing to make a deal to prove that you are forever his alone

Kalim is a curious fellow and he’s always wanted to know more about you ever since he first met you long ago. It’s no wonder he fell hard for you

Oh he absolutely has no idea what you’re talking about when it comes to what you are. When you explain what an Angel Devil is, he’s confused. Should he stop loving you? Should he be upset? Well he’s not going to be! He loves you dearly!

As much as Kalim would like to physically touch you, he knows he can’t so he had to constantly remind himself to check if you’re wearing gloves or put some on himself

Kalim doesn’t really like wearing thick clothing and the only thing he does that fits that category is his cardigan. He’ll use his cardigan to cover you so that he can hug you from behind and, when cuddling, uses all of his best blankets so that you can be comfortable

Kalim knows you can fight well. He knows how strong and capable you truly are but he understands if you don’t want to apply yourself sometimes. It’s tiring

Honestly, Kalim isn’t one to judge someone’s taste in food. He has kind of been…blunt at times but he means well. He just wonders if it tastes good…

A liar would saw Kalim wouldn’t give you the time of day. Kalim would saw he would give you the world if he could

For as long as Vil has known you, you were always so distant. Off in your own world, not caring about what was going on. He can’t believe he found the love of his life in that uncaring silence of yours

When Vil heard that you were an Angel Devil, he needed an explanation. He’s most likely heard about them before but would like to fact check himself. He’s a little bummed he can’t touch you but that doesn’t stop his love for you

Vil isn’t a very affectionate man…in public. Privacy is a little different, with cuddles and constant holding. As much as he could like to kiss your face, he settles for using something as a barrier

Vil doesn’t really like thick clothing so the only covering thing he has if his gloves but it’s not like he cares. He’s still able to hold your hand so what’s the problem?

He knows that you’re strong, smart, and capable of more than you let on but he’s upset that you don’t do anything to strengthen or apply yourself. He just wants to see you succeed, that’s all

Vil is a critic at heart and that applies to your weird tastings and diet. How you manage to stay so perfect and healthy by eating some weird things is beyond him but he will get upset about it

A liar can say that Vil only cares about your outer beauty while the dorm head himself will label every inner-feature he loves about you

Idia was interested in you when he first saw you, but not enough to initially start a conversation no matter ho much he wanted to talk to you. How he ended up in a relationship with you is beyond him

He probably knows what an Angel Devil is but gives you time to explain it to him. All in all, he doesn’t really care. He’s not physically affectionate anyways so it’s kind of a win in his book

Idia will silently hold your hand or cuddle you with a blanket covering you whenever your in his room but don’t expect him to go outside, that’s his tablet’s job

The only thick and covering clothing Idia has is his hoodie, which he lets you borrow whenever you want you just look so adorable in it

Idia wonders how much power you truly hold in you, how much information is in your brain, and how much you’re holding back. He knows applying yourself is tiring sometimes but the day he sees you go all out…ho boy

As much as he says how weird your food cravings are, he isn’t one to talk as he probably east less and more weird and unhealthy things than you please help Ortho

Anyone with a brain can see how much Idia truly loves you and if they say anything about him not, he will personally drag them to the underworld for you

Malleus, oh boy he immediately was interested in you. You were so similar to him and he wanted to talk to you so bad but he was worried he’d scare you off. He was sooo happy when he finally got into a relationship with you

When you told him you were an Angel Devil, he just kind of…stared at you. You…you do realize how long his life span is right? Touching him would do nothing significant to him honestly

Of course, Malleus respects your wishes for respected skin-to-skin contact but that doesn’t stop him from being love sick for you. Hand holding and hugs are funny but cheek kisses are his favorite, especially when you don’t block them

Malleus owns a lot of thick clothing and blankets and will gladly let you have them for your comfort, especially when it comes to touching him

Malleus knows how much power you have, you can’t hide that from him. As much as he would like to see your full capabilities, he’s not one to talk as he also holds back for the sake of you, the school, and Briar Valley

You and Malleus confide in your weird food likes and dislikes as neither of you judge the other…just don’t ever tell Lilia about your favorites he will ruin them

Anyone with eyes and a brain can see how much of a love-struck puppy he is for you. No one would dare speak against him but to you? He will personally make their life a living hell

Diana Fowley, the Four-Poster Bed Instigator (Perhaps)

I noticed something.

Mulder had a four-poster bed with space at the top for a mirror attachment in Dreamland II (screenshot courtesy of @amplifyme)--

--the season after Diana Fowley's introduction and during her "get between Mulder and Scully on CSM's orders" arc.

Diana was supposed to be alluring, captivating, and more sexually forward, yes (script here, thank you @x-files-scripts); but she was also undeniably more dominant: grabbing his hand in The End, insisting he listen to and follow her in The Beginning, and kissing him during his most vulnerable moment in One Son.

Not only that, but after she'd exited (briefly) from his life post One Son, she reappeared in time to feature in Amor Fati's sexual-turned-domestic fantasies.

And an interesting little thing happened: Mulder was not taken aback by her striking lingerie or sudden propositions (and it's very telling that Mulder was still wearing his handcuffs during the Diana Fowley seduction scene... very telling)--

--but was shocked, jarred even, when Diana told him it was time to settle down and have a family. Mulder's reaction leads us to conclude that Diana wanting kids came right out of leftfield for him.

Amor Fati explored her from Mulder's perspective: that she called the shots in their relationship, yes (Mulder did have children with her, for example), but also that he viewed her as the sexual instigator-- seducing instead of releasing him. It further solidifies the theory that she was the one who thought up that four-poster bed (more so, perhaps, than her "loser by choice" ex.)

This might also explain why Mulder continued using the four-poster waterbed (less hassle to use than replace)

only until it sprung a leak; then bought a normal bed that did not, indeed, have four posters.

It's very, very interesting that Mulder's bedroom was shown to have a four-poster bed during the Diana Fowley arc; that it stuck around only a few episodes after that; but was ultimately written out and replaced soon after her One Son exit-- all within one season.

Very interesting indeed.

(And if that be the case, the only time Diana Fowley was in his bedroom in Season 6 was after the bed had been replaced... which is also very, very interesting and very, very satisfying: a nice, subtle way of sticking it to her, even though that was likely just a writing coincidence.)

Random question but do you have a fav anime/manga art style? Or a least fav?

Keep in mind idk art terms (I only recently got into sketching and watercolor and idk WHAT the fuck I'm doing lol)

So I really love the shading in older stuff like Cowboy Bebop and that era of anime. I can't describe it but the muted color palette and way backgrounds were done back then especially make my eyes happy.

Also speaking of more muted subtle color palettes, I like Naoki Urasawa's art style and I love the anime adaptation of Monster. I also like Pluto but the fire effects look so fucking stupid, I get the effects are meant to clash with the 2D style but I hate it so much, it looks like someone making a YTP and using Adobe Premiere for the first time and it almost ruined the anime for me. All the tension in a scene crumbles when I see those stupid CG effects. But Monster is so pretty to me. I also appreciate Urasawa giving his women actual noses and like. Personalities. Eva Heinemann is one of my favorite female characters in anything, and it helps that she's a bitchy trainwreck who flips the gender dynamics of mysteries by giving HER *SPOILERS* a murdered significant other that fuels HER story as opposed to a women fueling a male character's manpain.

I like the weird wonky art style of Mob Psycho 100 and Chainsaw man, where the wonkiness kind of works to its advantage and can convey expressions just by being drawn Like That. It isn't bad but there's something about the weird expressions in CSM especially that kill me when something funny is happening.

Mob Psycho's anime and the first season of OPM are beautifully animated and MP100 perfectly adapts the original manga style. It keeps the spirit of the original panels but also adds so much stylization and all of the action sequences are gorgeous.

I also like the weird/wonky style of FKMT'S comics like Kaiji and Middle Manager Tonegawa, and the anime adaptations are also examples of great adaptation imo.

Sometimes I'm annoyed by the dehydrated look that JJBA has in the later parts, especially around the arms, but Araki's colored panels are so gorgeous to me. My favorite parts are 4 and 6 and I'm not in love with the manga style he had for faces in Part 4, but the anime looks perfect to me. Look at this boy. His face is perfect.

And yes this includes the piss-yellow sky because I like the color palette of the DiU anime a LOT. Since a lot of animators work on the Jojo anime, characters can look really different between episodes and even between scenes, but I love the way Jolyne looks in almost all of Part 6 when she has a fuller face. And the color palette of Stone Ocean's anime took a bit for me to get used to since the colored manga has a vastly different shade of green for her, but I really like Yellow-green Jolyne and how she stands out while complementing FF and Hermes's green shades.

You can tell by this list so far that I usually like wacky bullshit and artists that just do whatever they want. As far as pure lovemaking for the eyes, I adore shit like Mononoke where texture is king and every shot is pure ecstasy.

I also love Berserk's art style and I'm lowkey amazed Miura's assistants are able to replicate it so well considering his insane attention to detail. Even when displaying grotesque and sometimes misogynistic horrors, every spread of this series is a masterpiece. I also can't believe that he was able to give a skullfaced character so much emotion and expression (subtle, but still there) despite the fact that because he is a fucking skeleton, Skull-King's face can't actually change. This page makes me choke up just looking at it. I choked up while searching for it on Google for fucks sake

Speaking of skeleton characters I love, I like the flatter look of Skull-Faced Bookseller Honda-san, one of my favorite manga of all time! The way the mangaka personifies all his employees is just so cute looking to me, and I love the color palette of the covers and the anime.

And while I give Ohba's writing a metric ton of shit, Obata's art is so pretty. When I think of the trinity of "Mangaka who draw peak fashion", it's Araki, Obata, and Tite Kubo. If I was not a suburban white woman, I would say that they give their characters tons of drip.

Yk I’m been meaning to rewatch all the csm endings for a while and now because of this I actually did

( now I have not listened to any of these songs in full only of what I seen in the EDs but shh they’re all over one minute I’ve listened to them a enough I’ll do that in my meantime besides this list probably wouldn’t change a lot )

As fun and interesting it was to have a new ending for every week’s episode I would not mind if MAPPA never does this again with csm

I haven't been here in a while but last episode really altered my brain chemistry.

I have waited for only 6 years, which is a little less than the 10 years some of you guys went through, but I cannot express how happy i am for the confession scene.

When I was in high school, I got sick for a couple of days and decided to give a chance to RWBY. I had seen it on a thumbnail from a anime youtuber i used to watch and thought "why not!". In a couple of days I watched the whole thing (vol 4 had just ended) and I had NO ideia how much that show would mean to me in the years that came after. I don't know why. I think everyone has a show, a band, a movie or something that just connects with them for no reason.

I think a great part of it was because i really relate to yang (insert that one csm page with the she's just like me fr text). Seeing her character development and slow burn with Blake as the volumes went by was one of my favorite experiences with media. We all knew it was going to happen, but now that it happened it just feels surreal. And to think that there will be MORE??? There will be whole volumes of them just being TOGETHER???? CANONICALLY??? I will NOT survive

So yeah I just wanted to say this somewhere. Thank you CRWBY.

STAN: What's a Hitler?

CARTMAN: You know, when somebody is sleeping and you put your finger up your butt and then, wipe it on their upper lip to give them a little Hitler mustache? You've never Hitlered anyone?

As far as I can find this is the root of the term (2002), and sounds very similar to what Power did. She’s also been said to have been inspired by Cartman.

I wonder what they call it in csm considering the nazi devil was eaten

11x01 My Struggle III

The one where... the previous finale was all a vision sent to Scully from William, and CSM makes BS claims about William to Skinner.

Tagline: I Want to ..LIE..

Best: -

Worst: I’ve been putting off rewatching this episode for (checks watch) 4 years because the first time I saw it I found it to be:

A. a terribly written, boring episode to watch - is this an episode of txf or a car commercial?;

B. full of CC’s worst mytharc exposition monologing impulses;

C. frustrating because after 2 years of waiting to see how they would resolve the cliffhanger from the season 10 finale instead everything’s wiped away so that we can go back to the case of the week status quo; and

D. viscerally upsetting - this episode of my favorite show made me feel BAD. I can count on one hand the times I’ve been this emotionally disturbed by a piece of media. Yes, after 20 years I am overly emotional invested in this fictional universe and particularly in these characters, but this isn’t something that should be treated as a cool plot twist, especially when Scully’s bodily autonomy and relationship to motherhood is handled as badly as it has been on this show.

I powered through this rewatch - see below for a more detailed list of things I hated! - and I’m never watching this awful episode again.

William check-in: Look, CSM’s a known lier, Mulder is William’s father. Here are my En Ami thoughts and my pregnancy timeline thoughts. Any other explanation’s bad for my mental health, so that’s what I’m sticking with. Besides, see the tagline.

Break-up check-in: Everyone treats them like significant others, they treat each other that way, I guess that’s that?

Things I hate:

1. This time we get CSM’s struggle 🤢 - why is CC so obsessed with him

2. The frantic cutting and editing

3. That I’m not immune to Mulder and Scully’s close talking, even when what they’re saying is absolute nonsense

4. That we’re still doing the Monica Reyes character assassination from MSII

5. The Mulder voiceover - I don’t think we’ve ever gotten internal monologue voiceover like this before and it doesn’t feel right

6. The car chases - WTF is this

7. It was Jeffrey Spender that arranged William’s adoption??? Is that a retcon? Why would Scully have trusted him with that even if she did believe that what he did to the baby in the episode William took away his alien abilities (which it clearly didn’t, at least not permanently). I start think about any of this and immediately spiral into WTF are we doing here 😫

8. CSM and Reyes discussing plot holes 🙄

9. “your desk” 😑

10. Driving, driving, driving

11. Scully, a Medical Doctor - as she reminds us so often - signing herself out of the hospital AMA after a seizure, suffering another one, then getting in the car and causing an accident that could have killed her or someone else!! She’s clearly not in her right mind but this just doesn’t feel in character to me.

12. Hand waving away the alien invasion, I guess because we’ve destroyed the planet in last 20 years and they don’t want it any more?

13. This new duo’s plan. CSM won’t expect Mulder? The man who’s shoved his gun in his face countless times and demanded the truth? I mean, Mulder’s never pulled the trigger so I guess he wouldn’t expect him to actually kill him (if anyone can - remember when CSM’s face exploded, I do!)

14. More driving!!

15. Seeing Scully brutally attacked and fighting for her life - again

16. That I find Mulder slitting a man’s throat to save Scully in any way hot

17. Wait, who sent the assassin and why? Eh, who cares

18. That we’re going back to the distrusting Skinner well yet again

19. Mulder and Skinner’s stupid little fight - you’re grown men, use your words!

20. I already disliked the episode En Ami… but to imply via flashback 18 years later that our protagonist was - unbeknownst to her or the viewers - either raped or medically raped… The ending to this episode is upsetting on so many levels.

21. The term impregnated her with science WTF

Things I don’t hate:

1. Mulder’s silver stubble

2. Mulder telling Skinner that where he’s needed is at Scully’s bedside

3. Scully: You need him, and I need you. She hasn’t looked for William for all these years for his own protection, however much that must have hurt her, but for Mulder she’ll do it.

4. The thigh grasp handhold

5. Again, Mulder looks fucking hot - just watch a couple gifs and skip this absolutely garbage episode
