"no attachments" in SW literally just means "don't be selfish and possessive". that's it. that's all there is. doesn't mean jedi can't have friends and loved ones. they can. just. don't be possessive and selfish about it. don't murder thousands of people in an effort to save one.

It’s kind of sad really. These people often don’t even realize they are assimilating. Most of them think they are pushing back on a stereotype about queer people. But when people cry out “Queers are not inherently sexual deviants!” I don’t think they understand some of the implications.

What norms are “sexual deviants” diverting from? What moral values are they transgressing? Do you actually hold those values or do you feel like you must protect yourself from those who would wield those values as a weapon?

It is really wild to me seeing other queers regress towards this bizarre sexual conservatism that's so negative towards anything kink and any trans woman who dares express her sexual desires.
