a/n: crossover that I really wanted to do. I've used dragons from every timeline.

I wanted to make this as simple as possible, so I'm not going into backgrounds or Houses or the wheres, whos and whys. But if you'd like me to make backstories for them, let me know in my inbox!

(but p.s. I can already see Kyle being a Velaryon Prince and Simon a Targaryen because of their natural features.)

𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞 | 𝑴𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒚𝒔

There's something very regal about John - he holds himself with dignity and grace. He walks with pride and knows his rank/his place. Because he's earnt it.

Meleys, who was once known as the quickest dragon in Westeros, also holds herself the exact same way John does.

She is the Red Queen, vicious, fierce and unyielding. She is royalty - looks it too.

I'm not quite sure she'd like a male rider - there would have to be a lot of winning her over. All her other riders have been female, and very bold. Yet, when Meleys saw the bravery of John, she allowed him to mount her.

But the two of them together would be an absolute force to be reckoned with. Intelligence mixed with tactics, and planning - they would soon become one of the most feared rider and mount in history.

𝐊𝐲𝐥𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤 | 𝑺𝒊𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈

Known by a lot of positive traits, the first one being: understanding her responsibilities. Silverwing is the perfect dragon.

Great with people, friendly, and elegant. She knows when eyes are on her.

In the same way that Kyle can make a friend wherever he is. People find him very charming.

Both are great at socialising. This reflects how a dragonrider usually has similar traits to their mount.

Know their duties, but also know when enough is enough. They don't let others walk all over them.

𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐲 | 𝑽𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓

Ooh boy, okay so these two bonded over being grumpy and moody.

While Vermithor used to be the mount of one of Westerosi's greatest Kings, I think he would like Simon a whole lot more.

Simon, who would never make him do anything Simon wouldn't do himself.

Both of them hate too much company.

And the only way to truly get away from people is in the air.

Vermithor might be considered an old man, but he's still got that passion within him, and damn anyone who says what he can and cannot do

The pair could be gone for weeks. Only relying on one another for company, aiding each other in getting food and Vermithor being wonderful at finding bodies of water.

Although they do usually go to the same places now.

Sometimes Simon forgets how formidable Vermithor is - and that in the past anyone who approached him would burn to death by his flame.

But really Simon only sees a big lizard with wings who snores when he sleeps and grunts when he's angry. Oh, and watch out for his tail because he will try to knock you over when he's irritated.

𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧𝐧𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐓𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐡 | 𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒙𝒆𝒔

Let's gather what we know about Soap: intelligent (obviously, no one in the army reaches that level by being a complete tosser), he's active and ready to be in the field i.e, now the air.

Meraxes is known for being an avid flyer. Her first and only rider, Rhaenys the First, flew her mount so much - some say it was the collective amount of both her brother and sister riding their own beasts.

Johnny is the dragonrider who is constantly scowering for dragon eggs. If he finds them, he cares for them like they're his own children.

Johnny would literally be the Father of Dragons. Would 100% do a Dany and walk into fire to see if the eggs will hatch (don't worry the other boys look out for him and Meraxes would never let him be so stupid as to willingly hurt himself.)

OKAY recently i just rewatched game of thrones and omg!! im so in love with dany and khal drogo dynamics. like how small she is in comparison to him, how her small hands and gentle touches makes feral man calm and all at her mercy, but at the same time she knows he is her husband and strong man and etc!!!

and it brings me idea about game of thrones au!ghost x reader scenarios! i find simon and drogo quite akin. i mean, they are both strong, fearless and silent warriors whose life is full of war and murders.

okay okay to ideas!! so maybe you were given to him as a payoff so that his people would not touch and rob your city. when he and a few of his riders were on the terrace of your house and he saw you for the very first time, so small, pure, and fragile, just like the most fragile of precious materials, he immediately liked it. of course, he understood how strong a warrior he was, but the game with your contrasts intrigued him.

after the wedding, on your first night, you were afraid of him, covered yourself with your hands, cried, resisted when he grabbed you by the hands with which you covered your chest, but did not push him away, you accepted your fate and understood that you could not escape from him. the ghost, in turn, didn't like your behavior much either, at first he tried to calm you down, brushed a couple of tears from your cheeks, tried to gently touch you (let's close our eyes to the fact that from your side it looked as if he just grabs you by the hips and leads a greasy hand from the coccyx and buttocks) but over time, you got tired of your husband just coming to the tent at night and raping you like some kind of mare, you also wanted to experience the pleasure of intimacy with your husband and one night when he came to your tent again, you told him no. simon didn't like it, not only did you not give him the pleasure of hearing your moans before (it hurt his male ego, as if he couldn't satisfy his own wife), so now you also told him no! this hurt his ego even more, his warriors were already gossiping about the fact that at night their khal's tent is always quiet, although their customs and traditions assumed that at night all simon's people are obliged to hear who you belong to.

but then you tried to explain to him in his language that today you want to be on top, you want to ride him and make it pleasant not only for him. the ghost was surprised, intrigued, that night he did not take his eyes off you, that night he was convinced of the power you have over him, first as your small, gentle touches calm the wild beast in him who has just returned from hunting, in which adrenaline is still bubbling, and then a few minutes later as your quiet moaning, requests, as you hold his broad shoulders, awaken in him again the beast that wants to make you feel good over and over again, who wants to satisfy all your desires…a beast that wants you swollen with his child.

author note: omg!!! and simon’s mask stays on fits perfectly bc he is a horseman in the desert and so that sand does not get into his nose, mouth and eyes!!

note 2: for the fuck sake!!! THAT SCENE image you already have simon’s child and he promises you the world?? that type of man you need girls, that type!!!🎀💍😌

My favorite canon thing about König His enormous co— Considering there's so little canon content of him, every little detail about him has become an integral part of his characterization, so it's hard to pick a favorite. But if I had to, it's probably his sheer anonymity: the other operators, even the fully masked ones, have a full name. König is just the German word for king. Girl...who the fuck is this guy??? Combined with the sparsity of his bio, his whole vibe is incredibly mysterious. You could launch a thousand headcanons on him and they check out. He's just a fun character to come up with ideas for.

3. Least favorite canon thing about König His voice actor...look, I want to make it very clear I respect Jim Boeven's work. He's great at his job and his work as König is both well done and provided a lot of sorely needed insight into his personality. I don't even dislike his voice itself: a lot of people on tiktok (children) don't like his voice because they think the accent is goofy or they're disappointed it's not Corpse Husband-deep. I think his voice is really sexy and has so much personality. But man...I wish his voice actor was a better person. Or at least stayed off the internet. (This doesn't bother me as much as it bothers other people, though. I just forget Boeven exists most of the time)

4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in? Oooooh, delicious idea. I've actually played with the idea of putting him in different aus/intellectual properties, everything from Star Trek to ACOTAR-style high fantasy. But the answer is very obviously A Song Of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones). I mean.........come on. Come on. He's like if the Mountain oozed sex appeal (Sorry to Gregor Clegane fuckers) and was slightly less awful (at least König works to take down human trafficking cells). There's this scene in the first book at Daenerys's wedding to Khal Drogo where part of the celebration is that there are dancers and Khal Drogo's men just grab them and fuck them right then and there. It's clearly meant to be shocking and not a turn-on, but the way it was described was literally all I could think about while reading Fatum. Good God.

9. Could you be roommates with this character 🤪? Yes and we would have the nastiest se— Look, I'll be honest with you. In real life, I would stay a million miles away from this man. I would never even have the chance to cross paths with him. But if we just happened to become roommates? ...yeah, actually. As a military man he probably keeps his spaces tidy as a habit, and he'd be gone most of the time on deployment while still paying his share of the rent. He also likely keeps to himself and wouldn't be bringing around friends to disturb me (my poor guy). I'm not conceited enough to think that I'm so gorgeous and sexy that he would be too intimidated to talk to me, but I do think he would avoid interacting with me in general, which ideal in a roommate for me. In exchange, I pretend not to notice my underwear going missing or that I don't hear him say my name while he jerks off! Win-win.

I need to go find these posts and add them to the Königcore bible, but there's this one post with accompanying art that's basically like "kpop boy airport fashion Horangi x dad on a fishing trip König" with a picture of König in these waders and it's so cute. Also that one post about several COD characters' fashion senses, where König's mostly consists of jackets and sweatpants. I love both of those aesthetics! My favorite outfit to imagine him in, of course, is a black compression shirt and gray sweatpants with no boxers...

So how was double tap to run the game? :P

What an exhausting game. CoTM seems to be one of those “love it or hate it” games... and I struggle to see what’s to like.

There’s not much plot. Carmilla, fresh from C2, resurrects Dracula, and Nathan and his friend Hugh are separated from Hugh’s father. They have to get back to him, but Hugh resents Nathan for inheriting his father’s whip so he doesn’t want to help. This leads mainly to a boss fight near the end because Dracula used Hugh’s resentment to brainwash him, but it’s hard to care about either of them. (also, cod did this plot better, sue me)

Nathan is an odd protagonist. It feels weird to play as a character with no affiliations to the Belmont clan whatsoever but who still uses a whip - this one is apparently the Hunter Whip, but the menu screen still calls it the Vampire Killer. He doesn’t have much else going on for himself either. They could have done something with the idea that he has imposter syndrome due to “stealing” the Hunter Whip from Hugh...? Oh well.

This game is also one of the very few ones that don't involve any Belmont, along with OoE and arguably PoR, and even one of the two that don't take place in Castlevania itself, along with DoS. It even lacks the iconic staircase to Dracula's throne room! Just a very odd game overall.

The first impression of the game was... ehhhh not good. The controls at first are like a weird middle ground between Classicvania and SoTN. Nathan is slow like molasses, he jumps super high but not very far, you can’t rotate if you attack in midair, and the recoil is about as bad as Alucard’s. Well, turns out that half of these problems are solved by finding the Dash Boots a few rooms later, which begs the question, was it even worth it? It’s like in SoTN, where you have to find a relic so that items drop from candles, but at least I don’t have to painfully trudge my way out for a handful of screens.

I find interesting how the game starts in the Catacombs, though, instead of storming Dracula’s Castle as usual. In retrospects it reminds me of Metroid Dread and how the objective is reaching the surface again. (you can go to the castle entrance, but there’s not much there)

The Dash Boots make the controls... interesting? With that kind of momentum, platform jumping almost reminds me of Sonic or Mega Man X. It’s also really fun to jump over enemies without stopping lol. But then I have to turn around, and Nathan is back to moving like a golem. I know that the GBA didn’t have many buttons, but the whiplash is a little strong lol. So yeah, hope you like double tapping all the time :P Sometimes it becomes a detriment, for example when I need to run away fast but my double tapping doesn’t register so Nathan does the stiffest jump in the world and gets hit. Thanks.

Speaking of interesting controls, Nathan can rotate the whip, kind of like an automatic version of the whip flailing in SC4, and while you don’t do much damage it is a godsend against small enemies and projectiles like the ones that plague the Machine Tower, am I right Medusa Head ya pieces of shit that keep making me fall? :^) also he can wall jump, a move I was not expecting to see in Castlevania! And the Roc Wing relic is straight up broken as it allows to infinitely nyoom in the air, that one I legitimately loved.

The level design is... eh. The castle is samey, with more platforming than I’d expect from the genre, even crumbling platforming that I thought died in the ‘90s - and it’s rather awkward to platform with the double-tapping dash. The areas are bland and it’s hard to orient yourself - you can now push boxes? Well, good luck finding which of the 10 or so rooms you’ve seen is the correct way to progress :) SoTN was designed in a way that you could perfectly remember which rooms had, for example, a high ledge that you could reach by double jumping, and that’s not mentioning how every room is visually distinct. Admittedly, sometimes it works: for example, if you chose to explore the castle after destroying the iron maidens, you’re likely going to stumble upon the Underground Waterway, but the water is still poisonous at this time. After getting the Cleansing relic, you’re going to remember that obstacle. (although, apparently it can be beaten earlier without the Cleansing relic, which means that if you’re skilled and patient enough you can get the Roc Wing relic much earlier. It’s the most obvious example of sequence breaking I’ve seen in a Castlevania game, and I like it)

The enemy placement on the other hand is straight out of the good ol’ Classicvanias. You like medusas on moving platforms? How about three fast flying swords coupled with cursing marionettes? Or a horde of ectoplasms ready to interrupt your precarious jump, make you fall down and not reach a sorely needed Save Room? :^) This game has quite the passion for small, fast, annoying, cursing/poisonous enemies (in the game without a shop where you have to rely on luck to gain antidotes and cures, yay).

And yeah, there’s no shop, which makes the constant dropping of items ridiculous - I don’t need 9 Leather Armors if I can’t sell them! If you return to an old area after defeating certain bosses, you’re going to encounter much stronger enemies. Save and Warp Rooms are scarce, with the former being rarely close to boss rooms. There’s not even the classic energy-restoring orb that has been a thing since the first game, which means that if you’re low on health after defeating a boss, be very careful. Especially important after defeating Hugh, the bastard, because the only Save Room of the Observatory Tower is halfway through the level and if you die after defeating Hugh but before reaching a Save/Warp Room, which is easy considering the abundance of Dark Armors, well too bad for you! Circle of the Moon looked at the criticism that SoTN was too easy and curled the fingers of the monkey paw.

The Underground Warehouse was an interesting level for Castlevania, and another clue that this game takes a lot of inspiration from the older games: the gimmick revolves around solving box puzzles to progress. Ngl, once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty fun.

The Underground Waterway, on the other hand, is a bad example of this design philosophy. It also has a puzzle-y gimmick in the form of hitting levers to form or remove staircases, so that you can progress in this maze. But man is it boring, every time you hit a lever the game stops for 5 seconds or so until the animation finishes - and I hope you have the right DSS cards against the very annoying ice enemies!

Oh, right, the DSS cards! The main gimmick of CoTM! Well, I would love to tell you how I feel about it, but their drop rate is abysmal, much worse than DoS’, and I’m sorry I’m not gonna grind on my first playthrough 😂 it doesn’t help that, unlike the Sorrow duology, only some enemies drop cards, so good luck if you don’t use a guide. Some card combinations also require a special input, that of course the game never tells you. But if you get good cards, they can be pretty useful. Special shoutout to the combo Neptune + Serpent, that allows you to heal from ice damage, which makes the Underground Waterway a piece of cake :D (I'm glad luck was on my side this time, the Neptune card just dropped after the first Ice Armor I defeated jsakfhask)

Most bosses have no real strategy. They hit hard, and you have to activate your special move and survive them. The Crucifix is pretty broken in this regard. The difficulty seems to be all over the place: nothing much to say about the first three bosses, but after the beasts that are Adramelech and especially the Zombie Dragons, Death is pretty much a joke. Carmilla was pretty okay, though, it had a clear rhythm. Hugh and Dracula can burn in hell where they belong, although interestingly, the devs felt oddly generous and allow you to save before Dracula’s second phase. Thank you. Could have thought of a similar thing for Hugh as well :^)

Graphically... well, this game is infamous for being nearly unplayable on a real GBA, especially back in 2001 :P of course, nowadays it’s not a problem, but there is a distinct lack of popping colors that you could see in its contemporaries. I don’t want to be too harsh here: I can imagine that the devs squeezed every last resource to fit a whole castle into a GBA cartridge. But the end result is that the castle looks bland. There are plenty of detail, like the gold in certain rooms in the Catacombs or the windows in the Chapel, but the colors are drab and there is no parallex scrolling. Poor Nathan is also stuck with a two-frame running cycle and again, I know they couldn’t have recreated Alucard’s smooth walking cycle, but it’s funny to see.

Musically, the sound quality was better than I expected from the tracks on YT, but nearly all tracks are remixes:

The menu screen is Requiem from RoB;

the beginning of the Catacombs/Underground Waterway is Nightmare from C3 (and I must say, it has become one of the creepiest tracks in the series, stumbling in the Waterway while you’re finding the right way is almost a jumpscare);

Shudder is taken from Castlevania 64 and Legacy of Darkness;

the Abyss Stairway/Audience Room/Outer Wall is the Sinking Old Sanctuary from Bloodlines;

the Machine Tower is Clockwork from C3;

the Underground Gallery is Aquarius from C3;

Big Battle is taken from C3

the Underground Warehouse is Clockwork Mansion from SC4;

and, of course, the Observation Tower is none other than Vampire Killer, and Dracula’s first theme is still Dance of Illusion.

The placement for some tracks also seems random: why putting SOS, the theme of a Greek temple slowly sinking into the sea, for a perfectly normal and dry staircase? And what’s VK doing in a game without a single Belmont?

As for the original tracks, Awake seems to be the most famous one, obviously, and it’s a good, catchy first stage theme; Fate to Despair feels almost JRPG; Proof of Blood pumps you up for one of the hardest forms Dracula has ever taken; Repose of Souls is a beautiful credits theme. That’s... it lmao. I’m too much of a Sonic fan to appreciate all this recycled music in one game :P

You know how I said that CoD is pretty much a game that is fun in everything but gameplay? CoTM is the opposite. It’s technically more engaging to play, but nothing about it stuck with me. I’m sorry for all the people who love this game because it was their first Castlevania, but it didn’t do anything for me :\

WIP Word Game

I got tagged for the WIP word tag by three people, so I'm going to do it all on one.

Hug

"Logan, my soul." He says in a language Logan doesn't recognize, taking the boy's face in his hands. His eyes rake over his blond hair, his familiar hazel eyes and strong nose. He remembers her face, noticing how much like his mother Logan looks.

Keegan buries his nose in Logan's neck, breathing in deeply. "My Logan." He hugs the boy to him, smiling. "We are one again."

Rain

Darkness, all consuming, never ending. A shiver violently shakes Logan awake where he sits, gasping for breath as warm droplets of rain pelt him from above, soaking his flesh straight to his core. He chokes, cracked lips and right arm lit ablaze as the water harasses his aching form.

Secret

“Why go behind my back, and have a child? Why hide in the shadows and avoid my gaze, when you know I shall uncover all secrets.” He glared at the seventh month woman before him. “Why?”

Her body trembled, and her lips were sealed.

“You know what will happen.” A young, collared servant, brought the King his sharpened dagger. He rose from his skeleton throne. His icy grey eyes made the poor servant collapse.

Safe

Arden’s eyes flutter open, taking in his warm surroundings. “Akira?” He pushes himself up, wincing as pain shoots up his right arm. “Damn.” He sets his arm in his lap, using his good one to keep him steady.

“Akira?” He tries again. Moving forward, he pushes himself off the bed. His feet hit the fur rug, and he stands there for a moment, balancing himself.

“You look well.” Arden turns to Dahlia, smiling over at him from her chair, with a book clutched in her hand.

“Where is Akira? Is he safe?" Arden steps forward, concern and fear rising in his chest.

Run

“There you go old girl, can’t have you dying of thirst now can I?” Maisie neighs to herself, continuing to munch on her food, which has become increasingly difficult to find.

“That run down Tractor Supply is running out of feed sweetheart. Might have to start taking longer trips.” He gazes to his old beat up Ford, a truck he’s hated since his wife first bought it, and realizes he’s also running out of gasoline.

When he had first stocked up, he had managed to get enough feed to last Maisie three months, and himself enough gas to last two, as he decided traveling wouldn’t be the best of options. Especially since everyone was dead.

Red

Elias relaxes slightly, finding an odd bond of trust forming between him and the older male. "Elaine, let me see Logan."

She clutches her youngest tighter. "Don't you touch my son you bastard! I won't let his kind taint him!"

A harsh slap echoes in the throne room, freezing everyone in place. Elaine sits there in shock, a red mark forming on her cheek.

Shout

“No, he is not.” Arden looks back down, spotting a woman dragging a man. “Dahlia!” He cries, hoping she would hear him. She continues to drag the body towards a cart. “Akira.” Arden sheaths his dagger, and stands. “Until next time.” He tears off down the cliff, ignoring his name being shouted to the wind.

“You’re a selfish, hideous, monster! You steal life and are confused when we revolt! You’re evil!” Avo screams, allowing her eyes to well with tears. Jade cocks his gun, readying it to fire.

“Oh sweet Dove.” Matthias holds out his gloved hand. “That is in no way close to why I chose you.” He turns to Jade. “And you, my boy, why do you think you were chosen?” Jade remains silent, minus a few protesting growls.
