writing reader inserts is so funny because it's like. yeah you would NOT say that but now you do and you're gonna enjoy it. it's inevitably pouring a part of you into this fic. it's describing your dissociative daydreams in overly detail to everyone searching specifically for food to feed their dissociative daydreams. it's coming up with a hundred different scenarios on how to get railed by your favorite 2D man and yeah his dick is always big and he wants you so badly. it's playing barbie with Y/N who is like an universal OC at this point. it's going on silly little adventures in my mind and taking you all with me. reader inserts i love you so much.

Hi, it's the c ai Anon. Firstly, thank you so much for replying to me and helping me even though you're on a hiatus, I feel a lot more reassured now. So I guess to summarise -- I'll most likely be fine, but it's not 100% absolutely guaranteed? That's still scary but I think I can live with that. Honestly, the whole reason I was so scared in the first place was because I saw a whole bunch of people commenting that it was "impossible to actually delete your account" and they also said that c ai is basically purposefully doing this, that they're purposefully mining data and that no one is safe. These people also basically implied that c ai was going to get into legal trouble because of this and that "a lawsuit is coming", which scared me because it felt like all these people were so sure the data is going to get leaked or something. And these were all people who regularly use c ai, so how can they be wrong? Seeing all those comments was what made me so paranoid. I honestly wish I'd never used c ai and I'm completely regretting that decision now. I only used it for a couple weeks before deleting but now it's haunting me. But your reply eased my anxiety, so thank you for that, you were really helpful, thank you for taking the time out of your day to reassure me :)

Hi, I saw your post about character ai and why not to use it, and I agreed with it and I deleted my account. But I'm worried because I went online and a lot of people were saying that it's not possible to "actually* delete your account, and that when you delete your account it's actually all still there and your chats are all still there, you just sign out. And the person was saying even after you remove your account you can just log back in and all your chats will still be there, all it does is rename you to your email address. So your account isn't actually gone. I tested this by logging back in with my email address, and actually they were wrong because all my chats actually were all gone. But I'm still worried because what if I misunderstood them or something and it's actually all still there?

And ever since I read that I've been paranoid, because I'm scared that the developers of character ai can read my chats or that my chats might get leaked somehow or something, because apparently the data isn't *actually* gone. I want to clarify that I never did or said anything creepy or wrong in those chats. My chats were not even nsfw or anything. It's just that they were extremelyyy cringy and embarrassing and the thought that they might still be out there somehow is really scary for me, especially because I was dumb enough to use my real email address that has my name in it.

You seem to know a lot about character ai and I just really need some advice, what do u suggest I do now? Are my chats actually still there? I'm extremely scared and I'd really appreciate some help 😭😭 please do you have any advice?

Hey it’s okay! First thing I want you to do is take a deep breath. I know things said on the internet have had big impacts on peoples’ real lives, but I don’t think you have anything to worry about. It’s good to have a sense of internet safety, so it is good to worry about these things, but don’t let it scare you too badly please ;;

I have good news and bad news. The good news is, character ai uses standard server encryption that protects users’ data from outside hacking/cyber attacks. Although that’s never a 100% guarantee, that means no outside parties should be able to gain access to your data. I also honestly can’t think of a reason why c.ai (or anyone else for that matter) would want to purposely leak c.ai info. Companies that are trying to make money sell your information to advertising companies so they can make better targeted ads: they’re not collecting your stuff in order to later leak it and humiliate its users.

In my post, I talk about c.ai stealing your c.ai writing. What I mean by that is that it takes your writing and uses it to feed the data set it trains its AI on. Not ethical, but that means it’s unlikely any living human being will lay eyes on your writing.

Here’s the bad news. Unless you live in the EU or California where there are laws on the books to protect you, there’s no surefire way to guarantee that c.ai deletes all your data. DON’T PANIC! From what I’ve read, your account is definitely deleted, so I don’t think anyone can trace your writing back to you. There’s also no definitive evidence that your old writing/bots can be accessed, anyway. (I don’t use c.ai myself and so I can’t confirm this.)

I wish I had something more reassuring to say. The anxiety of your old internet stuff being discovered and exposed is something I’m very familiar with. The first best way to prevent this from happening is to be careful with where you put your stuff. The second is to delete as much as you can. Once you’ve exhausted those options and done the best you can, all you can do is manage your own feelings about it.

Remember: you are not alone. Many other users have likely written things into c.ai that they’d rather not have shown. In the astronomically small chance your stuff does get leaked, you have nothing to be ashamed of. You were exercising a creative outlet, and you should be proud of that. And plus, most people have had a “cringe”/self indulgent phase. People who shit on “cringe” content don’t have opinions worth caring about.

I’ll be honest, the current state of the internet just sucks. I don’t like that someone’s old thoughts or writing can be dug up to humiliate or ruin someone’s life (obvious exceptions in the case of abusive/illegal behavior). Part of being online is just accepting that everything lives on the internet forever and we have very little control over any of it. But we’re all on this crashing plane together, and many more people will have compassion than not. Find aspects of the internet that make you feel happy, and balance that out with enjoying your offline life as well.

Tl;dr: you’re probably fine. if you live in the EU or California you can send an email to make sure c.ai has deleted all of your data. and also in the very improbable chance someone does see your cringy c.ai chats and make fun of you for it, they’re a loser.

I honestly think I can associate any Hozier song to any of my favs, because the themes of devotion, yearning, soul merging love is the type of shit I adore, but there are some that I associate with König more than others.

this one I associate with any historical AU König. Even in AUs where he is royal there is always something that just feels wild and untamed about him.

he knew the things he was capable of, and so he decided to hone them to ensure they don't backfire.
