Seokjin had a firm belief that he understood his wife, especially since the two of you have been married for ten years. The two of you had two beautiful children, and despite some of the hardships the family has had to face, to the ignorance of the children and to the struggle to both you and himself, the Kim family has only come out stronger.
And yet at the current moment, Seokjin couldn’t help but collapse into his seat, his hand slightly trembling as he stared at the piece of paper with its very obvious label that explained the content of the document. He glanced up and looked at you, your own figure sitting in the chair opposite him with your back straight and face composed, your eyes looking at him expectantly.
“Y/N...what is this?” He asked, lowering the paper as he looked at you, swallowing thickly as he tried to make sense of the situation.
“Isn’t it obvious? It’s divorce papers.” You said blankly, not even an eyebrow twitching as you answered him as if he had asked what the weather outside was.
You sounded so emotionless, looked so emotionless, and he didn’t understand why.
“I...I can see that but...but why?”
The two of you had been together since university, Seokjin proposing the same evening he opened his own company, and the two of you have been happy ever since. He could not understand why you were suddenly handing him divorce papers, it was completely out of the blue as he had no idea that you even had the thought in mind. You shrugged.
“I need a change.”
“...What?”
He was at a loss, he just stared at you while you continued with your emotionless mask, staring at him as if he was a blank spot on the wall which you had happened to be locked on. A change? What did you mean that you needed a change? He voiced the question, and you only answered him with a sigh, the first sign of any type of emotion or reaction regarding this news.
“I’m tired.” You confessed, gazing down at your wedding ring that at three identical diamonds beside each other. Seokjin furrowed his eyebrows at you.
“What do mean by tired?” He asked careful, unable to get a read on you, something which he never thought would ever be possible because he knew you the best out of everyone.
“Of this. Of this life, this house, this...story. I want to close this chapter, I want a change.“
“Y/N...” Seokjin started, staring at you while he felt his throat thicken second by second, his hands rubbing his knees as he continued to stare at you. “I don’t understand.”
You sighed, shaking your head before looking at him with an almost tired look, it startling him as you almost seemed to age a few years in a single instant.
“I don’t expect you to, nor do you have to.” You stood up from your seat, which prompted Seokjin to immediately follow suit as he shot up to his feet, his body awkwardly standing as he did not know if he should reach for you or not. You nodded towards the paper which had fluttered to the floor from Seokjin’s sudden standing. “Read through that and contact my lawyer if you want to make any changes. Let’s just make this as painless as possible please. Goodbye.”
You had turned to leave, and that prompted Seokjin to fumble towards you and grab you by the wrist, turning to back to look at him as he flashed you a helpless look, confusion and hurt swirling within his chest and reflecting on his face as he tightened his grip on you.
“Y/N, this has come out of nowhere, can we please just talk about this and-”
“There is nothing to talk about.” You snapped, your words like bullets and piercing him through the chest as you ripped your wrist out of his grip, flashing him an icy glare which startled him even more because it has never been directed so scathingly at him before. “I’ve made up my mind. Don’t bother trying to change it.”
Seokjin couldn’t answer, or rather, he was not given the chance to because you whirled around and stormed out of the room, leaving him with the broken pieces of his heart as he all but dropped to his knees, staring down at the ground almost as if he was praying for an answer for all of this madness would appear before him and tell him why you were acting like this.
The two of you knew each other like the back of your hands, you always seemingly knowing what is going through his mind and Seokjin always seemingly knowing what was going through your mind. But now for the first time ever, Seokjin had no idea what you were thinking. It was like he was staring at a blank wall, protected from any type of staring because of its concealment.
It was like he was talking to stranger, or rather, you were treating him like a stranger. And that is what was hurting him the most. He has apparently lost his wife without even knowing it.

Yoongi had always been the lone-wolf type of man, preferring the company of himself than of others, but it was something you had learned to accept when you became involved with him. You knew what type of man he was when you married him, and he thought you had understood what was to come from a marriage with him.
He was a known workaholic, something which you figured out very early in the relationship, but it was something that you had taken into stride because his working habits is what paid for the big house that you and him lived in with your son. You were content to spend time at home to care for Jinyoung, inviting friends over to keep your company while Yoongi worked. He did join you and your friends at the odd occasion, but usually he remained in his office to finish up some work, only being prompted out to see your friends off with you.
It was not that he didn’t love you, because he did. You were his wife, and he provided you just like a husband should, but it seemed he grew very stagnant in his marriage with you, something he did not realize until his assistant had delivered some papers to his desk just before their shifted ended in the early hours of the evening. The manila folder was not labelled, so the only way he would find out about its contents was by opening it, and it was when he saw the title of the first document did he realize what they were.
Divorce papers.
For the first time ever, Yoongi left at the same time as everyone else. He had even pushed past his assistant when he hurried into the elevator, not bothering to even hold it open for his assistant as he was trying to figure out the quickest route back home. His hands were clutching at the folder, carrying it with him and tossing it into the passenger seat of his car before starting it up and speeding out of the parking out like a demon out from hell.
He probably broke about a dozen traffic laws on his way home but he didn’t care, the only thing that he had on his mind was his wife and his son. He hoped that the two of you were still home, if you weren’t...he didn’t know what he would do.
He didn’t even bother to switch off the car when he sped into his driveway, grabbing the folder and vaulting out of his car before rushing into his house, not expecting to find you seated at the dining room table with Jinyoung in his eating chair, busy being fed his dinner. You turned your head and looked almost surprised at Yoongi’s presence in the doorway.
“Oh, you’re home.” You said, your eyes falling to the folder in his hands. The surprise on your face smoothed out and was replaced with a neutral expression before you looked back at Yoongi. “Was there something you wanted to discuss.”
“Y/N, what the fuck.”
Yoongi couldn’t help it, the words just tumbled out of his mouth before he even realised what he was saying. You immediately shot him a glare and glanced at Jinyoung, hoping that the toddler would not have the urge to repeat what his father had just said. But thankfully, he continued to chew on the food you were feeding him, much to your relief. You looked back at Yoongi.
“If you are going to speak like that in front of your son, then you can walk back out the front door.”
“If I speak- Y/N, what the...why did this arrive at my office?” Yoongi demanded, holding the folder up to you. You raised an eyebrow at him.
“Have you not read it yet that you don’t know what it is?”
“Don’t get smart with me Y/N, I don’t have the time for-”
“Ah yes, time. Time is everything, for both me and you, and yet we seem to have different ideas of it altogether.” You laughed, it sounding the most empty he has ever heard as you shook your head and fed another spoonful to Jinyoung before looking at Yoongi. You nodded your head towards the kitchen. “Go pour yourself a drink. We can talk once Jinyoung has finished his dinner.”
“Y/N-”
“Go pour yourself a drink. You might need it.”
You turned back to face Jinyoung, flashing your son a smile before pretending that the spoon was an airplane and flew it into his mouth, making your son gurgle a laugh as he ate, ignoring Yoongi entirely as he stared at you in complete shock.
Even though he was not showing it, Yoongi was a floundering mess, and yet you seemed so...at ease with the whole situation. You were feeding Jinyoung like you usually did, going about your routine like usual, and yet you had dropped a massive bomb on Yoongi that you want a divorce. You weren’t even looking at him, treating him as if he was a piece of furniture in the room.
Just what the fuck has happened to you?
It didn’t seem that you were going to answer him any time soon, or rather, only once his son has finished his dinner. So deciding to follow your advice, he turned and headed towards the kitchen with the intent to drink some whiskey from the biggest glass that he owned. He definitely was going to need it.

His friends and family had always told him that he was too kind for his own good, and at first he used to brush off their words like they meant nothing because they didn’t for a time as he never thought that someone could be too kind for their own good, but he has now realised just how true their words were. The were practically spitting a fact straight to his face because he was now suffering from his apparent excessive kindness to the others and in came in the form of you, his wife.
The two of you had a marriage that was equal and happy. The two of you had your own respective jobs, a company of his and your own, and the two of you were happy with one another. The two of you were even the parents of a beautiful daughter, Areum being the light of Hoseok’s life aside from you. He thought that nothing could come between the two of you or the family, as to the perspective of others, his family was picture perfect.
Only it wasn’t.
As a businessman himself, Hoseok understood the stress that came with it and the need of long-hours of work to ensure a smooth running company, so when you began to stay longer hours at your company, he did not think much of it. He ensured to make sure that there was a meal waiting for you at home, and that he was available to help you in any way that he could, despite being busy with his own company.
But as time went on, hours became longer and Hoseok found that you were spending time more at your company rather at home with him and Areum, but Hoseok tried not to think too much into it because you always apologized when you did eventually arrive home and tried to make up for it as best as you could, something which he accepted because sometimes it can’t be helped with how work surrounds successful business people like you and him.
But what can be helped is celebrating your daughters tenth birthday as a family, something which you had forgotten, which infuriated Hoseok because no matter how busy the two of you had gotten with your companies, Areum always came first no matter what.
So after consoling his crying daughter and celebrating with her as best as he could before eventually putting her to bed, Hoseok had hopped into his own car and drove to your company building, intent to give you a piece of his mind for forgetting Areum’s birthday dinner. The building was relatively empty and dark, but Hoseok still stormed his way in it and headed towards your office, rehearsing the speech he was going to give you in his head as he eventually reached your office level and marched through it until he was eventually ripping open the door to your office, your name already leaving his lips before he even realised the position that you were in.
Which was on the table.
Bent over.
Naked
With a equally naked man behind you.
...
It seemed that his giving of the benefit of the doubt had bitten him the ass, especially since he discovered the real reason why you were staying at your company for long, as well as the reason of why you didn’t come celebrate Areum’s birthday at home with him and Areum.
Hoseok couldn’t stomach seeing you for two weeks, deciding to take some time away from the company and home by staying with his parents, taking Areum with him because he didn’t even want to leave her in close proximity with you or your boy toy, if he happened to come to the house with Hoseok’s absence.
While his parents were happy to spend time with their granddaughter, he knew that they were worried about him. For the first week, he didn’t tell them anything. How could he? How could he exactly say that his wife was having an affair? That you were cheating on him, just how could he confess that to his parents that card for you like you were their own daughter?
He couldn’t, but eventually...he could not keep it to himself. So he told them, and to say that their reactions were to be expected is an understatement.
His mother was heartbroken, shocked that you would even do a thing since there nothing seemingly wrong with your marriage with Hoseok. Hoseok had been thinking for the past week on what he could have possibly done to push you into the arms of another man, but he simply could not think of anything. He was a good man, a good husband to you, and yet you sought for love and pleasure with someone else.
Why? The question just burnt itself into his brain and heart, and there was nothing he could do to ease the pain.
And then his father suggested for him to go talk to you. He could not hide out at their home forever, and Areum needed you, she need her mother, and he had no right to deprive her of you or you of her. So after another week, he decided to return home with Areum with hopes to talk with you, to try figure out the whole mess which has exploded in the family.
Only you were not home to greet them, instead a document was waiting on the kitchen bar with a a little sticky note attached to the first page of the document, your cursive handwriting easily recognizable to him.
I’m sorry.
And underneath it was the divorce papers with your signature already on them. And when he eventually searched through the house, he found all of your clothes gone from the wardrobe, along with all your other belongings in the bedroom and the bathroom, leaving behind only Hoseok’s belonging, as well as Areum’s while your daughter in question kept asking Hoseok where you were.
He didn’t know, and at that very moment, he didn’t care.
Because he just lost his wife at the same time his daughter had lost her mother.

No marriage was perfect and Namjoon understood that, especially since he was hardly a perfect man, nor were you a perfect woman. Like all couples, the two of you did fight, but both of you came back stronger, as expected since the two of you were in love with each other. Each time the two of you would fight, Namjoon held onto the belief that it made the two of you stronger, and it ringed true most of the time because the two of you would make a comeback and forgive each other graciously.
Namjoon liked to be perceived as perfect since he has worked hard to get to where he is today. The tales of his successes were quite well-known, as he was once nothing but a poor man who did have a single dime to his name, and yet he worked hard to try improve his life, and he did when he managed ti build his own company from the bottom up, firmly establishing himself in the business world and being the living proof that hard work can get you anywhere.
Namjoon has never forgotten the pathetic and helpless feelings that he had during the time he had no money and was practically homeless, so to say he became somewhat of a workaholic would be an understatement. While he was very successful, he didn’t ever want to go back to how things used to be for him, which is one of the core motivators for him to continue working, even though he had a family waiting at home for him.
Even though he was a very punctual person by nature, at times he would become so heavily focused on his work that he loses track of time, and that is what he did on the day when his son was graduating from high school. When Namjoon eventually saw the time, he cursed loudly before scurrying out of his office and driving home, the graduation ceremony being long finished. When he eventually arrived home, he was met with the sight of you and Jinyoung eating some ice-cream together, sharing a smile with each other before turning to look at Namjoon as he entered the room.
“Hello,” he said, inwardly wincing at how awkward he sounded, shrugging off his jacket while walking towards the two of you, his eyes on his son who looked at him with an empty stare. “Jinyoung, I am so sorry I wasn’t-”
“Forget it. It’s not like I expected you to be there.” Jinyoung hissed, uncaring on how disrespectful he was being to his father before she stood up from his seat and stormed away, leaving Namjoon and you behind in the dining room.
Namjoon felt his throat tighten. Even though Jinyoung knows better than to speak to him so disrespectfully, he could not be angry at him because it was well deserved. He had the right to be angry at Namjoon, and the fact he didn’t expect Namjoon to be at his graduation hurt him. He turned to look at you, guilt written all over his face.
“Y/N, I didn’t mean to-”
“But you did.” You cut him off, shooting him a scathing glare that could melt metal before you gathered up the half finished bowls of ice-cream and carried them to the kitchen, Namjoon quickly following after you.
“I am really sorry, I didn’t realize-”
“I am not the one you should be apologizing to Namjoon, Jinyoung is the one who was hurt the most out of this.”
“I know, I-”
“No you don’t know. He really wanted you to come, and yet you didn’t, and the worst thing is that he knew that you wouldn’t come even though you promised. You promised!”
You slammed the bowls into the sink, fortunately not breaking them but making such a ruckus that Namjoon flinched, your whole body tensed with anger as you spun on your heel so you could glare at him face-to-face. Namjoon sighed and rubbed at his temples, a headache coming on.
“I know and I’m sorry. I will make it up to him-”
“How can you make it up to him Namjoon? Can you turn back time and go to the once-in-a-lifetime high school graduation of our son? Are you going to organize with the high school to have a whole repeat of the event just so you can see it? Or do you think buying him the next expensive thing is going to make it up to him? Bribing your son seems to be the usual thing that you like to do, the same with me whenever you let me down!”
Namjoon scowled at your words, sending you with a glare of his own as he righted himself up, standing taller than you by a mile as he tried to assert and defend himself.
“I do not bribe my son or you. I am the sole provider of this family, so I-”
“Oh again with that bullshit!”
While Namjoon knew that you did have a bit of a temper on you, he did not expect himself to suddenly be ducking out of the way when you all but threw one of the bowls at him, screeching curses at him while the ceramics shattered against the kitchen wall and showered the floor in shards. Namjoon stared at you in shock.
“Y/N, just what do you think-”
“I am sick of you acting like you are better than me! That you are better than everyone else! In case you have forgotten, I gave up my job so that I could take care of our son, someone is supposed to be the number one priority both of our lives! Just because you are the only one working doesn’t mean you have a fucking backseat on being a parent! You should have been there for Jinyoung, but like fucking usual, you weren’t, all because of your fucking work.”
“Y/N, my company is-”
“-Always first. It is always fucking first and I am sick of it. Jinyoung and I are always second! I have put up with it for so long...just so that Jinyoung could have some kind of peace growing up, but after today, I just won’t pretend anymore!”
There was a shift in you, one which Namjoon did not like because it was as if he was talking to an angered stranger in his own home. The two of you have fought before, but never to this extent, and from the words you were saying, he actually began to grow scared of what you were implicating.
“What are you saying Y/N?” He couldn’t help but asked, trepidation clear in his voice as he stared at you. You responded with a heated glare before answering.
“Jinyoung and I are leaving, and I don’t care if you decide to toss all of your lawyers at us, I won’t allow our son or myself remain in a household that isn’t a family.”
“Y/N-”
“I want a fucking divorce. I don’t care if you don’t want it, I do and it is about damn time I do something for myself and for Jinyoung. We’re done.”

He thought that he could fix things between the two of you, to get back to how things used to be before he messed everything up. While it is natural for people to make mistakes, some mistakes can truly mess up your life, and Jimin learnt that the hard way through the mistake who was blonde, young, and beautiful, and not his wife.
It was a drunken mistake, something that happened overseas on his trip and he needed to let off some steam, especially since he had gotten off a phone call from you which resulted in a fight because you were tired of his traveling and leaving you behind with the kids, five and four respectively. It is not like he didn’t feel guilty with leaving you behind with all of his traveling, but it was something that came with his job, and so he expected you to be more understanding of the situation, but you did not believe you had to adhere to those expectations, which frustrated him beyond belief.
So he went out drinking, and he happened to come across a woman who was obviously attracted to him, and in his drunken stupor, he decided to submit to his mutual attraction to the blonde stranger. But when he woke up the next morning in his hotel room with an arm wrapped around his waist, did he immediately realize his mistake. He messed up, badly, and the fact that you were at home with his son and daughter, faithfully waiting for his return, the guilt just built up even more.
He had to get home.
He kicked the girl out of his hotel room and immediately packed up his luggage before sending a message to his secretary to inform his overseas associates that he had to return home due to a family emergency. He could not remain in the foreign country and pretend that everything was alright, because it wasn’t, and he knew that he could not keep it from you. You did not deserve to be lied to.
When Jimin had arrived home, you were surprised at his sudden appearance, but it immediately turned into joy and you went to greet him, kissing him on the lips with a wide smile on your face as you pulled away. But you immediately noticed that something was wrong by Jimin’s expression, and when you had asked him what had happened, he told you the truth. The whole flight back home, he had been summing up the courage t tell you the truth, trying to prepare some sort of speech in his head to try explain why he did what he did. But no matter what excuses he came up with, none of them could defend him from his betrayal, so he did not bother to use them when he told you the truth.
You had left the house afterwards, not sparing him another look or word as you took your purse and car keys before leaving. Jimin didn’t bother trying to look for you, knowing that it will only do more damage than good in your and his relationship. So instead he tended to Jinyoung and Areum, his precious children who were ignorant to the happenings in the house, ignorant of the fact that their father had hurt their mother in the worst way possible.
When you eventually returned home, you did not utter a word to him until later that evening, after you kissed Jinyoung and Areum goodnight and joined Jimin in the bedroom where he was waiting for you. You had done our usual nightly routine before finally turning to look at him, a blank expression on your face which terrified him beyond belief.
“You broke my trust Jimin, badly, and I have half the mind to walk out of here with the kids and never see you again. But that wouldn’t be fair to them. I don’t forgive you for what you did, not by a long shot, and you can’t take back what you did, but we can try move forward. For the sake of this family, I will try forgive you, but it will take a lot of time before I can consider it.”
And he was not going to mess up his second chance that you were giving him.
For the next few months, Jimin was determined to win back your trust. He brought you flowers almost everyday, he took you and the children out for family outings and bonding, and he did everything that he could to make you happy. He wanted to remind you how happy you were with him, how being married to him was the best thing ever, because being married to you was the best thing that had ever happened to him.
It was almost like the two of you were dating again, with him trying his best to woo you into his arms with promises of a happy life with him, along with the idea gifts, flowers, and honey words that could make one’s heartstrings tug with their sincerity. Jimin thought that things were developing well between the two of you, as you seemed to slowly become comfortable with his presence again, things almost shifting back to how they used to be before the entire incident.
That was until he arrived home to see you sitting at the dining room table and a glass a wine, with a man dressed in a beige suit.
“Y/N...who is this?” Jimin asked, his eyes fixed on the man as he cautiously walked closer to the table, where the man stood up to greet him. He offered Jimin his hand.
“Mr Park, I am Mr Minho Choi, your wife had asked me to accompany her in this meeting.”
“Meeting? What do you mean meeting?” Jimin asked, ignoring the man’s hand to look at you but you were avoiding all eye contact with him.
You instead took a sip of your wine. Mr Choi cleared his throat, retracting his hand and instead turning to grab the paperwork on the table which Jimin only now noticed as Mr Choi shifted them together before turning to face Jimin again. He offered them to Jimin. “An unofficial meeting to discuss your oncoming divorce with your wife.”
Jimin’s blood froze, the air in his lungs trapped as he stared at Mr Choi in shock before slowly to turn back to you, you still not offering him a single look. Jimin glanced at the offered documents and could just make out the upside down words ‘Divorce Papers’ from his position.
“W-What?” He stammered, not fully believing that this was happening. The two of you were doing so well, he had been working so hard to make things work between the two of you again, he thought you were on your way of forgiving him.
“Mrs Park has employed me and my services to represent her in the divorce, while it appears that you have not been expecting this news and need to come to terms with it, I have drafted the conditions which Mrs Park believes she is entitled to. Please review them with your own lawyer before we continue with the proceedings.”
Was he that arrogant to believe that his mistake could be forgiven entirely by you?

A curse left Taehyung’s lips when he finally entered the world of the living again, his head pounding from the alcohol he consumed last night. Or morning. He didn’t really know what time of the day it was, not that it really mattered because he wasn’t ready to face reality it, or to accept it.
It seemed he didn’t even bother to make it to the bed to pass out in his drunken stupor, the floor seemed more than acceptable enough to house him and his body, although his neck and lower back said otherwise. He cursed again as he sat up, all the blood rushing to his head as he hunched over and clutched at his head, the headache only getting worse the longer he remained awake and sitting up. And then his stomach decided to flip.
Taehyung rushed to the bathroom, bumping into the wall twice before he finally reached the toilet and emptied his stomach contents into it, clutching onto the seat for dear life as he felt like death itself was hanging upon his head. He wallowed in misery at the toilet, groaning and cursing to himself as he continued to empty his stomach until there was a loud pounding at the door. Taehyung wiped his mouth with the back of his sleeve and glance in direction of the noise, coming from the front door of the hotel room he was crashing at.
“Taehyung you son of a bitch! Open up this instant!” Jimin’s voice called out to him, quite angrily if he might add, which hardly improved his mood as he rinsed his mouth out at the sink and then stumbled his way towards the door. When he opened it, he hardly was able to say a word when Jimin all but pushed himself past him and into the room, groaning and gagging at the sight and smell before turning to look at him. “You’re a fucking mess.”
“Well good morning to you too.” Taehyung grumbled, closing the door and then slumping against the wall, a wave of wooziness washing over him. Jimin scoffed and gave Taehyung a disbelieving look.
“Its 8 pm at night.” He said, making Taehyung raise his eyebrows in surprise.
“Oh...really?”
“Yes, and half of the fucking town is looking for you right now.” Jimin hissed, marching over until he was right in front of Taehyung and grabbed him roughly by the collar, his teeth bared angrily like a wild animal. “Do you have any idea how fucking worried we were?”
“Hmmm, not much. It’s like I’m dead or anything.” Taehyung said lamely,  not realizing that his words would cause his childhood best friend to shove him hard against the door, making him bang his head and making it even more painful than before.
“You could have been! For fuck sake’s Taehyung, no one has seen you in in a week! Not at work, not at home, not at anyone’s place! We were worried, even Y/N was worried!”
At the mention of your name, Taehyung scoffed. He pushed Jimin away and stormed past him, stumbling back into the main area of the hotel room until he saw a half-drunken bottle on the desk table. He stumbled over and grabbed it, taking a generous sip. The taste of the alcohol made his stomach curl but he ignored it as he swallowed the burning liquid.
“As if she was worried about me. She doesn’t care about me.” he hissed, making Jimin sigh in frustration.
“Listen, I know you and her have been having problems, but that does not mean that she does not care about-”
“Hah! Having problems is an understatement! She doesn’t give a shit about me! Not anymore!” Taehyung exclaimed, taking another generous sip of his drink before taking a seat on the desk table, clutching at the edge of it before looking at Jimin with a fixed look, one that was neutral and blank that Jimin could not get a read on him. Moments of silence passed between them, Jimin eying Taehyung carefully until he finally spoke again, albeit a little softer than last time. “She wants a divorce.”
...
“What?” Jimin questioned, his eyebrow furrowed together as he gazed at Taehyung in stunned surprise. Taehyung glanced down at the bottle he was holding, swirling its contents before speaking again.
“She told me last week. She wants a divorce. Apparently she can’t handle being married to someone like me with a family like mine.” He said, giving out an empty laugh before he brought the bottle to his lips again. Jimin stepped carefully towards his best friend.
“What did you say to her after that?” He asked carefully, making Taehyung drop his head slightly as he recalled the words which he had said after you told him your sudden decision.
“...You don’t want to know.”
Silence took over in the room, neither men saying anything after Taehyung’s confession. Taehyung continued to sip from the bottle while Jimin tried to collect his thoughts, eventually sighing before he eventually took the bottle out of Taehyung’s hand.
“Come on, you need to shower.”
“Jimin-”
“You reek of alcohol and before we do anything else, you need to shower. We can...do something else afterwards, but we are not staying in here any longer.”
Taehyung wanted to argue, to act perpetually and remain in the hotel room like he has for the past week, but somehow the energy to fight just faded away as he allowed himself to be pushed towards the bathroom by Jimin, slum oping his head in defeat as he closed the bathroom door behind him.
Jungkook
Tumblr media
He thought he had his life all planned out perfectly. He graduated top of his class, he got married to his beautiful girlfriend, and he was one of the youngest and most successful business men in the world, even making it in the article of ‘Most influential men under 30′ and he was proud of it. His life was perfect, just like he had planned and from an outside perspective, it seemed there was not a single flaw within himself, his wife, or his life in general.
But then he had to fuck it up.
Jungkook was aware that he attracted a lot of people, both male and female, but he always remained faithful to you, because you were his darling wife and his biggest support system. You were there for Jungkook through all the highs and lows in his career, and you accepted every single part of him, even his flaws which he tried hard to hide from others. So the possibility of him becoming involved with someone else was something which never, ever crossed his mind because there was no one who could even match you. You were perfect in his eyes and nobody could ever replace you or your spot in Jungkook’s heart.
But then it took another CEO with 7-inch heels and a lethal smirk to change his mind.
It was a mistake. He knew it was a mistake the second he allowed himself to be kissed by another woman, the two of them sitting closely together at his desk as they were discussing strategies for the collaboration his and her companies were working on. And yet he allowed it to happen, and even worse, he allowed it to go even further.
He didn’t know the exact reason why he continued with the affair, the guilt which he felt the entire time only becoming forgotten when he in between the legs of his mistress, pinning her wrists to the bed as he thrusted into her, covering her lips with his own to mask her moans and squeals each time he reentered her. But afterwards, his guilt always came slamming back into his body as he redressed himself and kissed her goodbye before returning home to you, under the guise that he was stuck in a meeting.
It went on for a while, and every time Jungkook considered telling you about his fair, he chickened out because he was terrified of the idea of you possibly leaving him for it. Though it would be well-deserved if you did leave him, because he has broken his wedding vows, to remain faithful to you and to always make you first priority in everything. But the longer his affair continued, the priorities in his life changed and you suddenly were no longer the number one in his life anymore.
And when you eventually learned the reason why you didn’t come first, Jungkook was there to relieve your anger and pain.
Jungkook arrived home late as usual, after spending the evening wining and dining with his lover, and he expected you to be asleep like you usually were, but instead the bedroom light was on and you were up reading a book, apparently waiting for him to return. You turned your head to face him as he walked into the bedroom.
“Welcome back.” You said, closing your book to give Jungkook your full attention. Jungkook flashed you a careful smile.
“Hey baby, why are you still up? It’s late.” You flashed him a smile, an empty one that did not reach your eyes like your smiles usually did when you were happy to see him.
“I know its late, which is why I was waiting for you to come home, so that we could talk.”
“Talk? Talk about what?” Jungkook asked, shrugging off his jacket and hanging it over the chair at your vanity table before going to unbutton his shirt. You flashed him another smile.
“About how long you planned to keep your affair going?”
Jungkook froze, his fingers hanging in the air with the top button of his shirt being undone. Ice replaced his blood and he looked at you with a shocked expression, your own face still fixed with a cool smile which was no help to Jungkook trying to calm his beating heart.
“My...what?” He asked pathetically, his heartbeat in his ears by now as he swallowed a thick stone in his throat, his breathing becoming uneasy as he continued to stare at you. You scoffed and rolled your eyes at him, shaking your head in disdain.
“Don’t act stupid Jungkook, did you really think I wouldn’t eventually figure it out? That you were seeing someone else and much preferred to spend your time with them than with me? Oh, but it isn’t just someone random, oh no, it just had to be with that bitch from the other company. I guess you can mix business and pleasure huh?”
You gave an empty laughing, shaking your head before you slipped out of bed, revealing to be wearing normal clothes instead of pajamas, heading over to the closet where you pulled out a roller bag, packed with clothes while you turned to fix him with an icy glare.
“Get out.” You hissed, pushing the bag in its wheels towards him, making him immediately stumble to catch it as it bumped into his legs. He continued to look at you with wide eyes.
“Y/N-”
“I don’t want to hear another word from you. The next time you talk to me, my lawyer will be present. I want a divorce.”
Divorce.
The word echoed in his head, and all of a sudden, his worst nightmare was coming true and he felt his eyes sting as tears formed and began to escape his eyes, his head shaking rapidly as he stumbled past the roller bag and towards you, reaching out to touch you.
“Y/N please, let me explain-”
“Don’t fucking touch me.” You hissed, dodging his attempts to grab you and moving across the room so that he couldn’t touch you, the intensity of your gaze only increasing the longer you looked at him. “There is nothing to explain. You slept with someone who wasn’t me, more than once, and I don’t want anything to do with you.”
“Baby, please...” He begged, stumbling towards you again, his body shaking while tears began to stream down his cheeks as he reached for you again, only this time you slapped his hands away with brute force, your teeth bared like a wild animal with its hackles raise.
“I’m not your baby anymore. Get out Jungkook, I’m sure you new baby will happily welcome you back into her arms, or her legs, your choice.”
But Jungkook didn’t want to go back to her, he just wanted to be with you. You were his wife, his number one, his everything. But it seemed he has been caught out and there was no chance of redemption. He fucked it up. He fucked everything up, and there was nothing he could do to fix it.

Severance - BTS OT7 CEO au Chapter 16
Tumblr media
So did anybody guess what was on the news? I thought it was rather obvious (it’s getting harder and harder to find gifs I haven’t used)
Prev / Next
“Care to explain this Y/n,” Junmyeon says, reaching for the remote and pressing play.
You feel your world freeze, the newscasters lips moving but the thumping in your ears drowns her out. Footage after footage of your dates, the three maknaes and you at the airport, date stamped proving you played hooky, there was nothing you could say to disprove the videos, not when in every single one they steal a kiss.
Your mouth opens but nothing comes out, not even a breath goes in, you’re stuck. You don’t see anything but the screen where the secret you so desperately wanted to keep was aired out for the world to witness. You don’t see Jongin desperately texting Jimin under the desk, what you do see is the channel cut to a newscaster introducing the last woman you ever expected to see, the shock filling your lungs with air so fast it makes you dizzy. Your eyes sting with tears as she starts talking, was this karma? Was this the universe telling you you made the wrong choice, that you should never have fallen for them, that you were too greedy for their love. Was this the price, the consequences?
“I think she’s hyperventilating,” the voice sounds muffled, your ears feel like they're full of burning cotton but at least someone has the sense to turn the screen off. Baekhyun fills your vision instead, hands on your shoulders with worried eyes on your form.
“Cars coming to pick her up, back entrance,” you recognise it's Jongin that’s speaking but the word’s go over your head.
Someone hands you a tissue but you don’t register the gesture until you hear a sigh. Chanyeol gently wipes your tears away, the stern look on his face softening when you look up at him. The sound of the phone ringing sounds so distant, like it was at the end of the tunnel. Jongin answers it before handing it to Junmyeon.
“Namjoon,” he greets through the line, the sound of his tone cutting through the fog you were drowning in. Joonie, you wanted nothing more than to be buried in his arms away from all this, but he wasn’t here. Whatever he was saying though the line made your current boss stare at you with an accusation that didn’t budge.
“We need to get her out without any more commotion,” he says to the others stiffly after he cuts the call.
“I’ll sort out the employees,” Kyungsoo states walking out.
The silence that follows is palpable, the lead CEO breaks it with a sigh, and you know it’s due to the aftermath he would have to deal with because of your decisions. He moves to walk past you, but you grab his sleeve before he can. You try not to flinch under his stare, your hands trembling where they hold him.
“I’m so sorry,” you say as sincerely as you can through a hoarse whisper. He acknowledges your words with a nod before he leaves. You’re quickly ushered to the corridor by the others, the sight of them shielding you like your own personal bodyguards would make you chuckle on any other day, but you were still shaking like a leaf.
All that work, all those years of making something of yourself, all the sacrifices and it came to this. Your life exposed to the world in a way that would cause it ruin. Your future at e.xo was done, no other company would ever employ you, you could never go back to work for bangtan. Everything was gone.
“Yeah we’re in the car, we got her out safe,” Seokjin says through the phone while Yoongi drives, his eyes glancing at you with worry.
A question Namjoon asks on the phone had Jin tensing, looking at you hesitantly. Is she okay?
“She’s not saying anything, she’s just shaking,” he sighs, he wanted to say more, how you were staring at the floor despondently, how when Jin tried to hold your hand to comfort you, you tensed and turned away.
The fear in their hearts that you regretted everything you had with them made Jin pull away, all he could do was be grateful they got to you before the media did, and in the tinted vehicle you were at least safe.
“It’s safe to go back to the mansion,” Jin tells Yoongi when he hangs up the call.
The drive is silent, they didn’t know what to say, everytime they tried the words died before they could form. Security was back in full force at their estate, running out any media outlet that tried to sneak close, their lawyers were having a field day. Not to mention the commotion at the office as they walked out, the whispers conjugated together so loud, not even Namjoon’s glare could silence them.
The gates open to the estate, and Yoongi can hear his heartbeat thumping faster and faster in his ears, it felt like they were coming to an impasse and there was no going back. The car slows to a stop, and as he kills the engine all they can do is stare at you.
Move. You had to move.
You could hear a faint commotion outside, the three maknaes running towards the car but a stern look from Yoongi stopped them in their tracks. Worry, anticipation, anxiety, no one knew exactly what concoction of emotions paralysed them, what made them hesitate to reach out to you.
“Kitten,” Yoongi starts softly, “you need to talk to us.”
That made you move, the door opening without a word in return. Your legs work against you, feeling like lead on twigs, a second away from collapsing. You couldn’t speak right now, your whole body felt empty and yet the weight of thoughts in your head made you need to bury it. You wanted your bed, you wanted to hide, and you wanted to be alone.
Yoongi shares a look with Jin, the hurt flashing between both of them at your rejection but they try not to take it to heart. You never wanted your relationship with them made public, not yet at least, you weren’t ready for the backlash, but now the choice was taken from you in the most heinous way.
“Noona,” Jungkook calls for you gently, a sadness in his eyes at the way you were walking with your head hanging low. Jimin holds him back, understanding better than anyone how you were feeling. He used to do the same, when something went wrong, when he made a mistake, he cut himself off from everyone, it would be a mistake to approach you until you were ready, until the voices in your head either broke you or quietened down.
The steps to the front door took so much energy from you, you didn’t think you had any left. You could feel them walking behind you at a distance, and yet it didn’t feel far enough or close enough. Something inside of you was tearing its way out and you didn’t know if you wanted to be embraced through it or to suffer it alone the way you had before so many times.
“Y/n,” Namjoon didn’t get the memo, he tries to embrace you but feels you stiffen against him, letting go immediately to look at your face with worry. “Baby girl, we'll fix this, okay? We-”
You push him away and he looks at you in shock, you didn’t want to hear it right now, you were barely holding yourself together. Voices were pounding inside of your head, the same repeated phrases over and over about how all your work was ruined, it was all for nothing, all your dreams, all your efforts. You couldn’t handle anything right now, you just needed your bed and to cry yourself to sleep alone.
“Y/n talk to me,” Namjoon says sternly, brows knitted at the way you didn’t even look at him.
He blocks your path when you try to walk past him, why didn’t he understand what you needed right now? You hear him sigh, as if his patience with you was wearing thin.
“Baby girl, you always do this,” he says, holding onto your shoulders to ground you, to keep you from leaving him. “You shut yourself down, you punish yourself, you push us away and then you break.”
“You can’t do that anymore sunshine,” Hoseok says standing beside you. “We’re in a relationship, we’re in this together, your pain is our pain Y/n.”
They watch you shake your head, bowing your head down so low as they hear the telltale sniffle that turns into a violent sob. Namjoon is quick to catch you in his arms, hushing your softly, stroking your hair until you calmed. All the while guilt ate him up, this was his fault, he could see it in all of their eyes as they watched you fall apart.
The house was solemn and quiet, you had retreated upstairs to your room, Jimin staying beside you while you slept.
“We underestimated that bitch,” Yoongi breaks the silence with what they were all thinking. They’re all scattered around the living room, Jungkook sitting deep in thought on the headrest of the sofa, Yoongi on the seat beside him. Namjoon sat opposite them with Hoseok on the armrest, Jin pacing the room slowly while Taehyung sat on the floor with his face in his hands. The black face of the TV on the wall stared at them, taunting them with what it held inside. The face broadcasted alongside yours and theirs was one that they barely remembered, but she had the audacity to be interviewed by any news outlet desperate enough for a story. They didn’t want to turn on the TV and see her face.
“She signed an NDA,” Namjoon says, a headache forming, “we didn’t think she was going to be a problem.”
“That’s where arrogance gets us,” Jin scoffs.
“Flower worked so hard for so long,” Taehyung says quietly, mourning for you. They all knew it better than anyone.
“We’ll fix this,” Namjoon states, he wouldn’t rest until they did.
“Namjoon be real for a second,” Hoseok sighs, “we might not be able to fix it.”
“No company is going to take her without an agenda,” Jungkook pipes in stoically.
“Or without thinking she’s a corporate spy,” Jin agrees.
“We can’t control everyone and everything,” Hoseok finishes, patting the lead CEO on the shoulder sympathetically.
“And we definitely can’t ignore a problem away,” Yoongi scoffs, staring daggers into Namjoon.
“Let’s not start this now,” Jin warns, feeling Namjoon’s guilt from a mile away.
“What does he mean?” Jungkook asks, feeling confused.
“Namjoon’s been burning threats concerning us,” Yoongi continues accusatively.
“We never opened those letters,” Namjoon argues back, “we don’t know what they contained.”
“Well we know now,” Yoongi says mockingly. He hated when you were upset, the feeling made his own claws unsheath, ready to tear into anyone who was held responsible.
“We don’t know the two things are connected,” Hoseok tries to defend their lead.
“Don’t be stupid Hobi,” Yoongi seethes, “Kitten’s whole career has gone down the drain because of us, what the fuck is she going to do if she finds out?”
“You best hope she doesn’t,” Taehyung snapped, his earlier melancholy now fueled by fear.
“We can’t keep this from her,” Hoseok shakes his head, disregarding the point.
“She’ll hate us,” Jungkook states, terrified it would manifest before his eyes soon.
“She’ll be angry at us,” Jin corrects him, “but we have to tell her.”
“Not now, it’s too soon,” Namjoon says quickly, his own fear warping his judgement.
“You should’ve opened one fucking letter,” Yoongi can’t let it go, all of this could’ve been avoided if it wasn’t for Namjoon’s stupid stubbornness.
“What good is bringing that up now going to do?” Hoseok sighs again.
“We don’t know if it’s connected!” Namjoon yells exasperated. “What we do know is Shin Suran leaked the photos and the story, and she is going to fucking pay.”
“So you’re saying the CEOs fired you because you threatened to expose their relationship to HR?” Solar, the newscaster asks her aghast.
“Honestly, I didn’t want to expose their… relationship,” she can’t hide the disgust in her voice at the word, “but I was concerned for Y/n’s wellbeing, I thought maybe they were holding her job over her head until I found out she was only entertaining them to climb the corporate ladder.”
Both anchors were shocked, the information sending them reeling.
“I mean what self respecting young woman would sell herself like that? Y/n was never a team player, or very good at her job but somehow she was always favoured by the CEO’s. It should have been obvious really.”
“Wow, that’s a lot of information to unpack Suran,” Solar says. “Aren’t you scared of the repercussions, these are the world’s business leads you’re going up against.”
“I only want to convey the truth,” Suran lies through her teeth. “It isn’t fair that the women who have worked hard and devoted themselves to Bangtan corporations are not appreciated or given the opportunities they deserve.”
“But Miss L/n left bangtan corporations,” the other anchor Hwasa finally speaks after having watched the little snake for so long. Something didn’t sit right with her and this woman’s sickly sweet attitude, it stank of deceit and she wasn’t blind to it.
“I have it on good information that she was sent to spy on the competition,” Suran’s eyes narrow, not liking her tone of voice.
“That’s a wild allegation,” Hwasa replies, every bit the professional. “I hope you have the evidence to back it up.”
“Bangtan corporations are under serious investigation after allegations of corporate espionage came from their former employee…”
She smiles at the screen plating in front of her, the chaos unravelling in so many wonderful ways. The Sun was shining despite the winter air, how many interviews could she fit into one day? Many it seemed, and while the day was over there was always tomorrow to cause more havoc to your life. Now she would sit and bask in the TV light, watching all of her fire ignite.
She had only gotten cosy when the doorbell rang to her little flat, groaning as she went to the door to answer it.
“Shin Suran?”
The three piece suit should give away something serious was in the brown paper envelope in his hands but she couldn’t bring herself to show any respect to the figure. She sneered and rolled her eyes, this man might’ve looked intimidating but she was currently on a high from ruining your life, nothing was going to bring her power trip down.
“Wi HaJoon,” he continues in the absence of a greeting, handing her the envelope. “You’ve been served.”
“What?” That elicits a reaction out of her, for some reason she didn’t even contemplate there would be consequences for her actions, deluded into thinking she was untouchable.
“You’re being sued for stalking, defamation and breaking the nondisclosure agreement you signed.”
That wasn’t part of her plan, her jaw drops to the ground and she realises maybe she played her cards all wrong. In the violent web of wanting to destroy your life she didn’t realise all her defences were gone. Maybe he was right after all.
When you wake up, the sun begins to set and Jimin’s warmth engulfs you. The feeling is comforting but fleeting, unfortunately real life problems don’t fade just because you’re in his arms. You wanted to bury yourself in his hold, have him take everything away until you were ready to deal with it. Jungkook’s favourite grey sweatshirt swallows you whole, his smell calming your senses, you try to focus on it when your mind tries to swim through the thoughts that wanted you to drown.
The door creaks open, two figures cautiously peaking in whispering to themselves. When Tae notices you’re awake he takes a seat beside you, caressing your cheek in his palm gently, his thumb soothing your skin. His eyes are downtrodden.
Jungkook kneels on the floor next to you, taking your hand in his and covering it with hard kisses, resting his cheek where they intertwined.
You try to get up but Jimin beside you grumbles in discontent, shuffling closer mumbling something under his breath without opening his eyes. A chaste kiss to your shoulder where the fabric hangs off your skin, lets you know he’s awake but refusing to let you go. The gesture brings a small but genuine smile to your face, one that turns into confusion as the commotion downstairs gets louder.
The younger two give each other knowing glances, one you don’t miss.
“What’s going on?” You ask, voice still hoarse from crying.
The hesitation in both of them fills you with dread. Did something else happen?
“They’re just trying to sort things out bunny,” Jungkook tries to reassure you, “it’s nothing to worry about.”
Despite Taehyung not wanting you to find out, something sickened him at the idea of keeping secrets from you. He knew how the truth always found its way out, and he knew if you didn’t hear it from them, it would have worse repercussions.
“Tae?” you could see a storm in his eyes, a battle between the loyalty to the others and his love for you.
“The hyungs…” he hesitates, Jimin now fully awake and sitting up at his deep uncertain tone.
Jungkook looks at him imploring him not to say it yet, it was going to be too much to deal with so soon after this morning. You grab Jimin’s arm, pulling yourself up closer to Taehyung who now avoided your gaze.
“Guys what’s going on?”
“I’ve been here with you,” Jimin mumbles half asleep, his hair a soft mess on his head.
“Kookie?” you turn to the youngest who bites his lips nervously, doe eyes begging you not to ask him.
“You’re worrying me,” your nerves were shot, the trauma from this morning making you beyond paranoid. What could be worse than this morning, what weren’t they telling you.
“Jimin, Jungkook and I didn’t know,” Taehyung starts slowly, not wanting to put his hyung’s under the bus but he wasn’t going to let them shoulder the blame when they were innocent. Plus when this was over he had a feeling you would ostracise the older four for a while, he couldn’t handle being a part of that.
“Didn’t know what?” you ask tentatively, urging him to continue.
“I still don’t know,” Jimin grumbles, getting annoyed with the suspense.
“Namjoon Hyung has been getting letters,” Jungkook says when Taehyung pauses for too long. He sighs, cursing the hyung’s for keeping this from you when he knew the betrayal would crush you.
“What letters?”
Something ticks in Jimin’s brain, his sleep filled eyes going wide with realisation. The other day in the office, when the hyung’s went solemn, it was to do with that?
“We think…” Taehyung tries not to stumble over his words, “they were threats, about you or us, but we don’t know because…”
Threats? You’re sent reeling, did Namjoon know this was coming? And he did nothing to warn you, or confide in you?
“Because what?” you breathe, your voice heavy, eyes watering as your thoughts ran away from you. Jimin places an arm around your shoulders, trying to soothe you.
“He burned the letters before he opened them,” Jungkook finishes, feeling a deep rooted shame for his favourite hyung, and for selling him out.
“Angel…”
Jimin calls after you as you throw the covers off of you, storming downstairs to confront the men hiding things from you.
“Sunshine-”
“You’ve been getting threats and you didn’t tell me?”
They startle at your accusation, as right as it was, the four of them confounded until the younger three stumble in behind you. All four hyungs glance at them disgruntled and disappointed, this was not the way to handle things, the thought was hypocritical but justified in their minds.
“You didn’t tell me?” Your teary eyes pierce Yoongi with so much sadness, of all of them you never expected him to keep it from you, and for some reason it stung the worst.
“Kitten,” he tries reaching out to you, a vulnerable edge to his voice. He would let you scratch and claw at him until you were satisfied, anything to keep you from looking at him like that again.
“Babygirl it’s my fault,” Namjoon sighs, taking the edge of his hyung and shouldering all the blame. “I told them not to.”
You turn back to him with anger in your eyes.
“Namjoon you’re the lead at work but that doesn’t make you the lead in this relationship,” you snap. “You had no right to keep this from me!”
“I know,” he says, his voice small.
“How long have you been getting these letters?” You ask and he hangs his head in shame.
“Months…” he replies, “since you left the company.”
You stare at him appalled and it wounds him.
“You have the gall to tell me how to behave in this relationship Kim Namjoon,” Your voice is strained through the onslaught of angry tears. “And you keep this from me?”
“I didn’t know what the letters said,” he says as an excuse, and he knows it’s a feeble one.
You shake your head in disbelief.
“I thought you of all people would get it Joonie,” the way your voice breaks cuts through him with shame. “You built everything from the ground up, I admired you long before I loved you. So how the hell could you play with my future like this?”
“Baby girl that was never my intention,” he begs you to understand him now, that he didn’t behave nonchalant with a potential threat, he thought he was doing what was best.
“It doesn’t matter what your intention was! There was a clear right and wrong, and you know it.”
He bows his head again, you were right, he disrespected you when he didn’t discuss the letters with you, you should’ve made the decision together as to what to do with them. But in his heart he thought he was protecting you, protecting your peace and happiness, but all of that was a bubble set to burst.
“We don’t know that it’s connected beautiful,” Jin steps in between you, speaking as softly as he can knowing you were full of rage and sorrow, but he watched Namjoon take the blow and needed to shield him a little.
“We don’t know that it’s not,” you argued back. “We have no way of knowing, because instead of talking to me about something unpleasant, you guys decided to bury it.”
“Sunshine, I get that you’re upset-” Hoseok tries but the look of incredulous shock shuts him up.
“Upset?” you repeat, the strain in your voice carrying tears. “Everything I worked for, all my dreams, are gone.”
It was a struggle to get out every word, having to take a breath between each one, but you were determined to.
“No company is going to employ me, even if they do I’ll be subjugated to whispers and isolation and we know how that worked out last time.”
You sniffle, wiping your nose and tears with your sleeve. You wanted to appear strong but you were breaking down, didn’t they understand what they had done? Didn’t they care? Or were they so comfortable in their gold seats so far above you they forgot about their struggles on the way there?
“I didn’t join your company to seduce you, I wanted to work hard and make something of myself, maybe start my own company one day, but all of that is gone.”
“Kitten,” Yoongi dares himself to try again, to console you even if you pushed him away. He walks over to you, remembering all the times you seeked him out for comfort. It used to confound the others, how Mr Stoic Stone was the one that you reached for, and even though it was unusual for him to step into those shoes, with you it came so naturally. He wanted to be the one you searched for when you needed soothing, he never wanted to lose that connection he built with you, ever. He knew it was a privilege, one he never took for granted.
He hates the way you look at him now, it breaks his heart, those watering eyes showing how truly hurt you were while you tried to control the trembling of your bottom lip, tried to look strong in front of him.
“Whatever you think is gone, we can rebuild,” he takes your face in his hands, kissing the top of your head softly before looking into your eyes. “I am so sorry for not telling you, but I promise you whatever dreams you had will come true. It's just going to suck for a while and that’s our fault.”
“We know better than anyone how hard you work sunshine,” Hoseok smiles at you sadly, regretting not telling you.
“If you want a company babygirl, we’ll get you a company,” Namjoon’s own voice thick with remorse. “Whatever you want.”
“There’s enough space in the office for another desk,” Jimin tries to lighten the mood with a teasing lilt to his voice, but he’s not joking at all. “No one would dare to whisper about our angel CEO.”
You shake your head, removing Yoongi’s hold on you. They didn’t get it. You’ve worked for everything you had, it was how you had always been. You didn’t want to be handed a title you didn’t earn, or have your powerful boyfriends buy positions for you.
“Why would that be such a bad idea, beautiful?” Jin asks softly. “You’re more than capable.”
“I don’t need anyone thinking I slept my way to the top,” you scoff.
“Who cares what other people think, Kitten?” Yoongi sighs. “No one can deny you deserve a CEO position.”
You shake your head again, breathes of humourless laughter escaping your lips. They really didn’t get it. It was so easy to say that when you were untouchable to people’s words.
“You guys made the decision by yourselves to keep this from me,” you state, not looking at them but to the ground. “My career has nothing to do with you, whatever happens next is my choice.”
“Kitten-”
“You don’t have the right Yoongi,” you try to keep the anger out of your voice. “None of you do right now. I need to figure this out alone.”
“Are you breaking up with us?” Jungkook asks in a panic, not moving from the doorway, he would block your exit, he would fall to his knees and beg you to stay.
“No,” you reassure him with a syllable. “I love you, I always will, I’m just angry right now.”
“And you have every right to be,” Namjoon agrees solemnly.
“I just have one last thing on my mind,” you frown, an obvious question was left unanswered.
You face Namjoon, knowing he would hold the answer.
“You destroyed the letters before opening them,” it’s not a question but it sounds like one.
He nods, wondering where you were going with this.
“So how did you know they were threats?”
He hesitates, trying to build up the courage to tell you how he knew exactly who they were from.
“The return address,” Jin answers for him. “It was from the penitentiary.”
The realisation hits you, and for some reason it makes the whole situation so much worse. The accusation in your eyes returns as you gaze at Namjoon. He knew exactly what he was dealing with when he got rid of those letters, and looking at you now he knew he would have to beg for your forgiveness.
Bonus scene flashback:
Dear Kim Namjoon,
You haven’t responded to the last 6 letters I have sent, so either you’re not taking me seriously, or you haven’t read a single one. Both choices are not in anyone’s best interest, I don’t think you realise the situation you’ve put me in, I have nothing to lose.
The deadline is approaching for you to transfer the funds and secure my release. I am not spending years in jail because of your jealousy. Enclosed are copies of the images I will release to the media, I bet you’re wondering how I was able to get these when you locked me away.
It seems I’m not the only one you thought you could cross and toss away. For your sake, I hope you make the right choice.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Alexander Pettyfer
“They haven’t responded to a single one of your stupid letters, what makes you think they will now?” Suran scoffs at the news that he sent another.
“Just be patient,” he replies, the usually clean cut male looking rugged and rough. “We need something out of this other than just ruining their lives.”
“Look, the images I got are proof enough about what that whore is doing, I say we release them.”
“Not yet!” The rise in his voice gets the guards attention, and he takes a deep breath to calm down. Stupid woman didn’t know when to listen, it was unfortunate that he had to use her, although he should count his blessings the day she came and visited for the first time with an idea to take the CEOs down.

Summary: Choi Y/N was used to being the background character to her older sister's life. Yuri was everything that her parents wanted and Y/N was left by herself. It wasn’t preferred but she managed her life perfectly fine. It wasn’t until Yuri asked “Can you do me a favor?” that her life changed and she became the main character.
Y/N stared at her sister with a confused face. Whatever her sister wanted it was urgent and it was clear with her eyes. Yuri sighed and took her phone out. Y/N watched anxiously and waited for her sister to show her the phone. She glanced at the rectangle and then at her sister, “Can you do me a favor?”
She tilted her head and nodded her head slowly. Yuri smiled nervously and typed another sentence out, “I need you to go on a date for me.”
Y/N’s eyes widened at this and shook her head. Yuri frowned and started begging at her sister, “Please, mom and dad set this date up for me. They just wanted one of Choi's daughters and they just picked me because I'm older.”
Y/N took her phone out, “Who is it with? I’m not saying yes but I am curious...”
“Kim Seokjin.”

They Reject You (hyung line)- part three
Pairing: BTS x Reader
Word Count: 8K
Warnings: swear words here and there, a little kissing scene.
Jin
Tumblr media
"I told you, you should have done this sooner."
"Hey, if I had known this was gonna be this much fun, I would have."
"I did tell you, you just didn't believe me."
You huff. "Okay fine! You were right all along and I was wrong. Happy?"
Blair chugs down another shot and winces at the bitter taste. "I'll be happy when you listen to my advice."
"Asking for too much, now. Aren't you?"
"Cool then, mop over a boy for over a month again. Why don't you?" She retorts with no real bite, rather genuinely enjoying the glimpse of the old you back.
A wave of sadness hits you when you're reminded about the said boy and you sigh. "He isn't just a boy, he's also my best friend."
Blair immediately regrets her words when she notices the look on your face. "I understand that you would need time but if I hadn't dragged you out today, you would have not made any efforts to move on for at least another six months."
You feel an instant urge to deny it but end up not protesting because you know how true her words are.
Moving on would have been easier if you knew the answer to this one question; how does one move on from their best friend?
How do you forget the moments that made you fall for him? Moments when he was the only one you could confide in. When you two would spend hours talking on the phone about random things. When the two of you would sit on the balcony and judge every passerby. The inside jokes, the tears, the hugs, the words of comfort. How do you forget those and tell yourself to not feel the way you do?
And even if you manage to do so, will the two of you really ever get back to being as close as you once were? Won't that result in you falling for him all over again?
You take hold of another glass of shot when you realise that you were overthinking again. Today your plan is to get enough alcohol in your system so that you do not overthink the little things.
"What is he doing here?" Blair whispers to herself.
"Who?" Your tipsy mind gets distracted by that and you start checking left and right to catch sight of the person she's talking about.
"Jin."
Your eyes widen in shock and you freeze in your seat. "Jin is here?"
Blair nods, feeling the same amount of disbelief as you.
"Should I hide in the washroom?" You whisper shout. You don't even know why you feel the need to run when you and Jin have had a civil conversation just a few weeks ago. All you know is that you do not wish to face Jin. You are not ready to face the stir of emotions Jin would inevitably ignite.
"Fun fact, his eyes are fixed here," she quips with a mix of annoyance and amusement. "I'm also pretty sure, he's aware that we are talking about him."
You shut your eyes and groan audibly. "Fuck. Just what I needed."
"Fun fact part two, he's coming here."
As soon as she completes her sentence, you hear your name being called.
"Y/N."
"Jin!" You put on a fake smile and try to seem as excited as you possibly can. You won't allow your spirits to dwindle so easily. "What are you doing here?"
Jin thinks for a brief moment if he should lie and say that it was a coincidence but then decides otherwise. "Well, Jimin texted me that you're here and I had something important to tell you, so,"
"Well, I don't feel stalked at all." You grin sarcastically.
Jin smiles. That's the first stage of you getting drunk; getting sassy. "Well, I'd be hurt if you were to call me a creepy stalker."
He says it with such a soft look of adoration that Blair has to clear her throat loudly to announce her presence.
"I'm Blair," she introduces herself.
Jin understands that Blair's words are directed at him and he politely puts his hand forward in greeting. "I'm Jin."
Blair nods and shakes his hand. From the look in his eyes, she already has an idea about why Jin might be here and if what she's assuming is right, she should really get out of here as quickly as she can.
"Well, it's good that you are here, I have somewhere to go. Take care of her," as soon as the words are out of her mouth, Blair quickly leaves the spot knowing very well how you are going to react.
You gasp dramatically, concerned about how quickly she changed her colours. What a traitor you have as a friend.
Jin sits on the stool next to you before you can recover from your shock. "So what have you been drinking?"
You look at Jin with your mouth parted open, still having a hard time understanding what just happened in the span of a few minutes. How you came to the club to temporarily forget about Jin and how now, you are sitting right next to him.
You blink a few times to let the shock subside and with Blair gone, you feel your adrenaline rush fade away.
"I don't know, Blair ordered it," you shrug.
He hums, fiddling with his fingers on the table. "Any special reason you are out here clubbing on a weekday?"
"Nah," you say just as casually as you had uttered the previous sentence. Maybe it's because of the alcohol but you don't find yourself feeling anxious in his presence. There's only a very little amount of unease but that's only because you don't want to get too into your emotions.
Jin watches you closely. You don't look drunk, just tipsy. And thankfully, for him, you don't seem to be too bothered by the fact that he just invited himself.
Someone might say that he's being overdramatic coming all the way to say something he could have said any other time. But when Jimin texted him that you're here, his thoughts started getting a little wild.
What if you were in a club trying to get over him? What if some hot bartender catches your eye? What if your friends are telling you that you deserve better? (The last one, Jin agrees with)
It's fair to say that those thoughts made him rush to this place so that he can finally say what he figured out in the last few days.
Jin inhales deeply and asks the million-dollar question. "Do you– do you still love me?"
You choke on your drink and a series of coughs that follows. Jin immediately asks for a glass of water and helps you calm down.
"What kind of a question is that?" You ask in a raspy voice when your coughing fit subsides.
"A very important one?" He asks you back, his brows now furrowing in nervousness.
You mimic his expression, only that your brows furrow in annoyance. "What kind of people do you hang around with to get the idea that people's feelings change in the span of a few weeks?"
Ah, yes. You're sassy right now.
Jin's features soften and he looks at you with a look of disbelief.
"So you still love me?" He asks in a whisper, too scared to say the words out loud.
"Unfortunately, yes." You nod.
Before you can take hold of another glass of shot, Jin's hand comes to rest on yours. You look at him in confusion, wondering what even is he up to.
"Well, I love you too," a wide smile breaks out on his face as if the thought of you is enough to make him happy.
This time, you choke on thin air. "Excuse me?!"
He takes your hand and brings it to his lips. "I'm sorry it took me so long, but now that I know, I just want to be with you forever."
Your eyes follow his movements and you find your breathing getting shallower and only one question coming to your mind; Is this really happening?
Jin notices the way you seem to have run out of words. It makes him want to smirk in satisfaction but at the same time wrap you in his arms. Had he known you would react this way, he would have done this way sooner. But he was busy being a fool back then.
You were always by his side, through the worst and the best. You were his only constant in the world of variables. He always felt so at home with you, that the thought of changing the dynamics never occurred to him. You two were perfect being best friends and he thought that was how it was going to be forever.
But then he's also a hopeless romantic at heart. He has always dreamt of his perfect partner and what life with them will look like. He has also had his fair share of crushes and relationships but never did the faceless person from his dreams appear to be one of them.
Now that he thinks of it, he knows why that was the case.
"You don't have to say anything," Jin adds, not wanting you to stress about it. "I just needed you to know that I love you and I'm sorry for realising it so late."
Now as sassy as you are when you're tipsy, you're just as bold. Without thinking any further, you lean forward and kiss him. It's odd and something your sober self would never do, but right now you're definitely not sober. Plus, you can leave the overthinking for her when she wakes up tomorrow. At the moment, the only thing that matters to you is that the man you so irrevocably love, loves you back.
Jin freezes and his eyes widen in shock when he feels your lips on his.
He knows you are only doing this because you are drunk. He knows that had you been sober you would have asked a million questions by now. He also, knows that he shouldn't be kissing you back but when he hears a whine of complaint from you at his lack of enthusiasm, his resolve crumbles.
He gently puts his palms on your cheeks and kisses you back passionately. The warm sensation of your lips on his makes his head spin and he wonders how on earth has he gone so long without doing this.
However, he pulls back when he feels your tongue against his lips. "We should get you home."
You shake your head like a stubborn child. "No, I don't want to go."
Gosh, he wants to kiss that pout away. How did he not realise that it's been you all along?
Blair watches from a distance as you throw your hands in the air like a small child and a smile makes its way onto her lips. Guess, she won't have to worry about you moping anymore.
Yoongi
Tumblr media
As soon as the doorbell rings, you freeze. That must be Yoongi.
You have been looking forward to this moment and at the same time have been dreading it. But it's one of those things that you know just needs to be done.
You haven't had a single moment of peace since yesterday. It's tiring honestly. You don't know how the conversation with Yoongi will go, but you at least hope that after this you won't feel this heavy weight on your shoulders and will be able to have a good night's sleep.
With that hope, you open the door and you're greeted by Yoongi in a purple suit and the sight itself makes you swallow. You really wish you could marry him.
Shaking the thought away, you welcome him in and ask him to take a seat on the couch.
"Would you like some tea or coffee?" You query
Yoongi shakes his head. "Nothing really. I had coffee before leaving."
Well then, guess you won't get the time to figure out how to start the conversation.
You take a seat on the opposite couch and play with the rings that adorn your fingers. "I called you at my place because there's something important we need to talk about and I thought that a public place isn't suitable for the conversation."
Yoongi nods. He won't lie but he shares the same view. It's difficult for him as it is to talk about his emotions. He doesn't want to imagine having to explain why he came across as nonchalant to your confession and how he respects your honesty, more than he could show.
However, nothing could have prepared him for the next words that leave your mouth.
"I think we should not go forward with this marriage."
Your words cause Yoongi to choke. Out of all the things he wanted to discuss with you, he never saw this coming. "What?!"
Seeing Yoongi react like this catches you slightly off guard. Usually, he always has his emotions in check and is unreadable. It always makes you feel like he's out of reach. However, right now, you can read him like a book, which oddly enough gives you a sense of satisfaction.
"We should not get married." You repeat your words and wait for Yoongi's shocked features to subside.
Yoongi looks at you and notices how determined you seem, as if you have thought about this long and hard and only then have you come to this decision. The thought that there's probably no changing your mind, scares him.
Clearing his throat, he tries to sound as calm as he can. "Why though?"
Now it's your turn to be surprised. Isn't it obvious why the two of you shouldn't get married?
Chewing on your lower lip, you ponder how you should frame your words. After a brief pause, you start with a gentle tone that somehow comes out sad.
"When two people love each other, they get married. Not because they have to, but because they want to. It's like this celebration of their love, where they declare to the world that they are each other's for the rest of eternity. But you see, that's the most important factor–" you look up to lock eyes with Yoongi. "–love."
Love.
It's a word Yoongi has hardly ever given thought to.
Yoongi knows what it feels like to be loved. His parents love him, his sister loves him, his friends love him, his dog loves him. He also knows what it is like to love someone because he loves these people just as much. But love in the way you describe it? Yoongi has never felt that.
From a very young age, he has known that it will be his parents who will choose who he is to marry. Which is why he has never felt or given much thought to what it is like to want to spend his whole life with someone.
But clearly, you have.
It looks like you know exactly what you want and he won't lie, he envies that. He wonders what it's like for someone to know what they want so clearly that they won't settle for anything less.
"We can always fall in love," he says with a small shrug as if it's not a big deal. The gesture makes his words look insincere and although it's true that he doesn't realise the intensity of his words, it's also true that he had shrugged simply to hide how uncomfortable he feels. He has never had to talk to someone about falling in love with them.
You chuckle humorlessly. "I don't think you realise what falling in love really means."
Yoongi wants to feel offended by your words but he can't. Because you're right. "Well, it's never too late to learn."
You can tell that Yoongi is being genuine. But you don't know how you should perceive his genuineness. Should you feel flattered that he's willing to give your marriage a try? Or should you feel sad that he has to try falling in love with someone?
You don't know what the answer to that would be but the thought of him falling for you because he had no other choice, does not sit right with you. Even if you two were happy one day, maybe somewhere at the corner of your mind will be the thought that he fell for you only because you two were forced into this marriage.
"I don't think it will work, Yoongi," you say with a sigh.
Yoongi's brow furrows in frustration. Why are you complicating things like this? "I don't understand what exactly is the problem?"
Here goes nothing.
"We have been on ten dates so far and on none of those occasions, did you ever seem interested in getting to know me on a deeper level. You are a closed book and I respect that it might not be easy for everyone to be open, but what counts is the effort. We have never had an open conversation or proper communication." Your voice comes out even, not a speck of anger or disappointment lacing your words. It sounds like you're only reading out observations from a science experiment. "Why do you think that is? If you were to ask me, and I might be wrong, but it's because you were never interested in the prospect of marrying."
"Had I not asked to break the marriage, things would have been pretty much the same and I would have never voiced these thoughts. You would have made no effort and I would have been trying way too hard to fulfil my wishes. Don't you see how wrong that could go?"
Yoongi remains speechless with his mouth parted.
"It's not only that, though," a small smile appears on your lips. "When you believe in love as much as I do, you'd know that love is inevitable. Everyone deserves it, including you. And I hope that when you do fall in love, you get to walk with them with your head held high without worrying about the wife you had to marry to boost your business."
With each word that comes out of your mouth, you feel a weight being lifted off of your chest one by one. Last night, you stayed up with countless thoughts running through your head. Countless reasons and scenarios why this marriage won't work and would be painful for both of you. Especially you.
Yoongi takes a deep inhale and lets the silence linger.
What else is even there to say? You have given this a whole lot of thinking while he has hardly ever thought about it. Which only goes on to prove your point and how different both of your views on marriage are.
Indeed, he has never shown much effort towards establishing a connection between the both of you. There's no denying that, but he wishes he could tell you that it's not because he wasn't interested in forming one but rather that he does not know how to.
He knows there's no point in clarifying that now though, it will only sound like he's making excuses. Hence, he settles for responding to you with the only sentence that he thinks is relevant.
"We can't break this alliance."
"I know," you nod. "It won't be easy but I'm sure we both will come up with a way to convince our parents."
Yoongi huffs, sensing that you are underestimating his words. "Do you know that the deal has been signed?"
Your eyes widen in shock and disbelief. "What?! H–When?"
Your reaction is enough for Yoongi to know that you indeed, had no idea about the papers being finalised and signed. Your previous words make much sense to Yoongi now and why you thought that the two of you even had any other option but to get married to each other.
"About a week ago," he replies, expression now turning sombre. "I got to know about it only a couple of days ago."
A week ago? That would be around the time you and Yoongi went on your last date where you had confessed to him your feelings. Was it around the same time that both of your doors to escape were closed?
Panic shoots through your veins when the thought that there might be no way out, comes to your mind. No, no, no. There has to be some way.
But is there really?
Yoongi's company is way bigger than your father's. If the two of you back down now, the deal will be cancelled but it will be your father's company that will suffer the most whereas Yoongi's will recover in a few days. It was one thing if the deal was not signed. No gains, no losses. But now, it would be no gain, only losses.
How can you do that to your parents knowing how much stress it will cause them?
You can't.
"I don't have any other choice, do I?" Your voice comes out small, highly in contrast with how confidently you were speaking a few minutes ago.
"I don't think we do," Yoongi sighs, a deep sadness looming over his chest at how dejected you look. "But if it makes you feel any better, we can make a deal."
An abrupt chuckle escapes your lips. "Another deal? Haven't we already had enough?"
"This deal gives you the choice to be free," he comments, noticing how a small hopeful glint appears in your eyes.
"How?"
"Let's stay married for a year, if you still want an out after that, we will get divorced."
Yoongi's words give you a pause.
You can't say that the deal is ideal but it is better than nothing. It gives you the hope that the two of you won't be stuck in a loveless marriage. It also does not create the pressure of being happy with each other because that's the only option.
After thinking for a few moments, you realise that this indeed is what it has all come down to and you'll have to accept it whether you like it or not.
"What about the business deal?" You query, your brain jumping to the concerns of the after-effects of having a divorce.
"By that time, the majority of shares will be transferred to me, I'll take care of it so that there is minimal loss."
You nod and sit back, feeling exhausted from the emotional rollercoaster this conversation has been. You just wish things were simple. That you both could get married to people you were in love with. Or that you both were in love with each other.
The thought makes you look at Yoongi. You can still feel the butterflies in your stomach but there's also this dread that tags along.
Last night, you had considered every possible scenario, and each one of them convinced you why this marriage is not a good idea. But out of all those, there was one which stood out, one that scared you the most and was the most heartbreaking.
The possibility of you falling in love with Yoongi but his response being the same as it was on your last date. You know that the pain you went through this time, would be nothing compared to the pain you would experience then.
You don't want that.
The thought scares you so much, that you make a promise to yourself to not let your guard down so that the situation never occurs.
Hoseok
Tumblr media
"You went a little too hard on us today," you say, breathless as you take a bottle of water and uncap it.
Hoseok chuckles. "You say that after every class."
"Do I?" You ask with a small smile, knowing very well that you indeed do. But can you be blamed when Hoseok loses track of time when it comes to dancing and the only thing he focuses on is perfection?
He raises a brow as if asking you to stop pretending and you raise your arms in the air in mock surrender.
He chuckles and shakes his head in amusement. "That's what I thought."
"Oh by the way," you say all excited. "I binge-watched little women during the weekend."
Hoseok's grin widens at the thought that you took the time to watch his recommended show. "Did you enjoy it?"
A thoughtful look appears on your face. "I think it would have been better if the girls had more wins throughout but then I guess it wouldn't have been realistic."
Hoseok hums, understanding where you're coming from. That's an emotion he shares as well. While watching the show, he too wished that the girls didn't have to go through so many ups and downs.
"But you know what I liked?" You say with sparkling eyes.
"What?" Hoseok asks, the gleam in your eyes doing something to his heart.
"Choi Do-il's character!" You say with a small smirk on your lips.
Hoseok finds your behaviour amusing. "Liked him huh?"
"How can I not? He's so cool! He was so loyal to In-joo and he has such a sharp mind, made such tough decisions on the spot." You blabber. "I wish there was someone like him in real life, I'd fall for him in the blink of an eye."
"I wonder what Henry would have to say about that," he replies in a teasing tone, trying to pull your leg. But his smile fades when he sees that your excited expression has now turned sombre.
You shake your head with a soft smile. "Well, we have broken up, so I don't think he would have anything in particular to say."
Hoseok hates that his first reaction is that of joy, which is soon followed by a feeling of guilt. He had convinced himself that he wasn't waiting for this particular day but now, his reaction clearly proves otherwise.
For the time being, he puts his emotions aside and puts your feelings first.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
You sigh. "There isn't anything to talk about. The relationship had run its course."
And that's the truth.
Things were pretty smooth at first, but when the honeymoon phase faded, somewhere down the line, both of you realised that you two weren't right for each other.
The breakup wasn't painful for either of you and maybe that's what acceptance is supposed to be like. It was coming to this understanding that the both of you make great friends but there isn't much hope when it comes to something more than that.
Hoseok chews on his lower lip and wonders what's the right thing to say.
It has been six months since that day in the club and five months and three weeks since he realised that his feelings for you run deeper than he had initially thought.
The first three weeks that followed after his realisation was not easy for him at all. He tried his best to be in denial but with time, he couldn't deny it anymore and he felt anger. Anger towards himself for having the audacity to accept that he has any form of romantic feelings for you after you had been so brave about yours and had put your heart on a plate only for him to be a complete dumb wit. Which was soon followed by the feeling of loss. He lost the opportunity when he had it and won't probably ever get it again.
But after that, it started getting better.
He accepted the fact that you have moved on with someone else and are happy with them. But that doesn't mean he did not get jealous every once in a while when he stumbled upon a picture of you and Henry on Instagram. That little spark of jealousy would serve as the reminder that somewhere deep down, he still wishes for you to be his.
There have been times when he had thought about what he would do if someday, years later you and Henry were to break up. But never did he prepare himself for it. Plus, now, he finds it ridiculous that he had always thought that this would be an opportunity for him to correct his mistake when you could have very well removed any feelings for him from the very root.
Before he can figure it out though, you sense the awkward silence and make an effort to break it. "I'm over it though, it does not bother me."
Hoseok nods softly, his thoughts still muddled. "How long has it been?"
"About a month."
Hoseok observes you closely from his peripheral. He notices how relaxed your features are and concludes that the topic of your breakup isn't necessarily a painful one for you. You also seem, pretty okay with the idea of the two of you having broken up, which makes him hope that you have moved on from Henry. And if in case you haven't, he will wait as long as it takes for you to let someone new in and he will do everything he possibly can to be that someone.
"This might be inappropriate but are you planning to return to the dating world?" Hoseok tries to look as casual as he can by pretending to arrange the CDs on the shelf.
It takes a few moments for you to think about the question before you can come up with an answer.
Are you looking for someone you can date? Not really.
When you had downloaded Tinder all those months ago, it was simply so that you can find a distraction from Hoseok and move on. Fortunately, you found that and more in Henry. But now, that chapter is over and you don't find yourself actively looking for someone to be with.
"Not at the moment, no," you reply honestly. "Maybe a few months later, I'll reinstall Tinder," you laugh at the thought.
Hoseok hums, with his back facing you. "When you decide to reinstall the app, do tell me."
You don't think much of his words and innocently ask, "Why?"
The whole of Hoseok's body heats up in anxiety and he starts putting the CDs on the shelf at a much high speed. "Because then I'll install tinder too and will search you up."
Your frown morphs into an expression of surprise and your lips part to form a small 'o'.
Is…..is Hoseok saying what you think he's saying? Is it his way of saying that he would like to take you out on a date? And say, if the answer to these questions is, yes, what will you do?
In the six months that you have been with Henry, you haven't thought of Hoseok in that way. The intensity of your feelings lessened and you could let yourself be friends with him without letting your feelings get in the way.
But are your feelings for him gone?
You don't know.
Hoseok is a great friend of yours. He is nice, charming, kind, helpful and talented. Not to mention that he is utterly gorgeous. Anyone would be lucky to have him as their partner. But do you still want him as one?
You look at Hoseok and realise that the thought of being with him doesn't feel weird. If anything, it causes a little bit of excitement to stir up in your stomach.
It's true that your crush on him is not as deep as it once was and you're not looking for a relationship at the moment, but for some reason, you feel like when you're ready, you may just fall for him harder than you have ever before.
Clearing your throat, you come up with a response that you think is just right. "In that case, I'll have to make sure that I don't forget to tell you about it."
Hoseok turns around immediately to look at you with a surprised look as if that was the last thing he had expected you to say. But when that surprised look turns into that of relief, your previous questions about Hoseok's intent are answered.
A smile appears on his lips when his surprise fades and he makes a promise to himself to not waste the chance you have been kind enough to give him again. "I'll eagerly wait for that day"
Something in your heart blooms at the soft look he gives you and you nod.
After that, both of your chit-chat resumes and you two giggle and laugh like never before while you pack your stuff. Once you're done, you get ready to leave. "I'll get going then?"
With a gleeful smile, Hoseok responds, "see you next Saturday."
As you're walking out of the door, a thought appears to you. "Oh, also, you can't search for people on Tinder."
And then you're gone.
Hoseok watches your retreating figure and he has to try really hard to stop smiling like a fool.
Maybe there will be no need for Tinder after all.
Namjoon
Tumblr media
"I love Y/N," as soon as the words are out of his mouth, he winces, anticipating and dreading Yoongi's reaction.
Yoongi, on the other hand, merely blinks at Namjoon's words. ".....and?"
Out of all the reactions, Namjoon thought Yoongi would give, this was not one of them. This makes things way scarier for him because he thinks this is Yoongi's version of 'calm before the storm'.
"Listen, you can be mad at me all you want. I understand but I just wanted to let you know." Namjoon rambles, his voice coming out high-pitched.
A small frown appears on Yoongi's face. This is it, Namjoon thinks.
"Why do you assume that I'm mad?" Yoongi's question, however, leaves Namjoon perplexed. He searches for any form of pretence on Yoongi's features but when he doesn't find any, he sighs.
"I don't know–" Yoongi's frown deepening is enough for Namjoon to backtrack and start speaking the truth. "–you told me that if I were to ever try to show interest in your sister, our friendship would be over."
"I mean, I don't recall saying that but it does sound like something I'd say," Yoongi nods.
Now it's Namjoon's turn to frown. Is Yoongi mad or not? "What am I supposed to make of it?"
"Nothing," Yoongi shrugs. "I should rather ask you, what was your purpose in telling me that you have feelings for Y/N? Was it because you felt like you had to ask for my permission? Or were you scared that it would affect our friendship?" A chuckle escapes Yoongi's lips.
Namjoom sighs, feeling his muscles relax as he finally lets himself realise that Yoongi isn't mad. "I think it's more of the latter."
"So you won't ask for my permission, before pursuing her?" A scowl appears on Yoongi's face which immediately makes Namjoon stutter.
"I–I–I didn't mean that. Of course, I would ask for your permission."
Yoongi tries his hardest to hold back the satisfied smirk that tries to make an appearance. It's nice to see Namjoon being scared of him every once in a while.
"That's better," Yoongi hums. "And you don't have to worry about ruining our friendship and all that shit. That's very high school."
Namjoon feels like he can breathe again. After weeks, it feels like he can finally be honest with himself and most importantly with you, without being scared. A wide dimpled smile appears on his face at the thought of finally confessing to you.
"Gosh, that's annoying," Yoongi huffs, with no real annoyance in his tone. If anything, he's glad to see the wide grin on his friend's face. "If she does reciprocate your feelings and the two of you become a couple, I do hope that the two of you don't turn out to be one of those intolerable ones."
You find almost everything intolerable. That's the thought that comes to Namjoon's mind but before he can speak those words, a much scary thought appears to him which takes his breath away.
"What if Y/N does not accept my feelings?" His voice comes out in a whisper, too scared to speak those words loudly.
Yoongi thinks the chances of that happening are very low. But he chooses not to say it. It's your feelings, you're the only one who knows where they lie. Yoongi does not wish to assume. Instead, he chooses to assure his friend that even if he were to get turned down, he will be there for him.
"I will order a bottle of champagne and soju, each. If things work out, then we will celebrate with champagne. If they don't, then we can have soju."
Namjoon is grateful for Yoongi's words, he really is but the fear that courses through his veins makes it impossible for him to think straight. "You don't get it. She confessed to me and I turned her down."
This time, a genuine scowl appears on Yoongi's face. "Why would you do that?"
Namjoon lets out a heavy breath. "I thought you'd be mad and our friendship would get ruined."
Yoongi tries his hardest not to let his eyes roll but ultimately fails. "Now I remember why I had told you not to pursue my sister."
Namjoon's heart drops at the comment. Is Yoongi about to change his mind?
"One because it was high school and you were going through your fuckboy stage," Yoongi says, with squinted eyes that make it obvious that he's judging Namjoon. "Second, you were dense as fuck at times. Which, clearly, hasn't changed even now."
That had been two days ago.
After the very scary chat session with Yoongi, Namjooon needed some time to recover. Two days to be exact. Now he has finally managed to grab the courage to talk to you and be honest.
His hands hover in the air for a few moments before he knocks. He hopes and wants this to go well, otherwise, he thinks, he won't be able to forgive himself.
You frown when you hear the knock. Who has decided to bother you on a fine Sunday?
You set aside the book you were reading and begrudgingly get up. With heavy steps, you head towards the door and swing it open. The regret that hits you is instantaneous. You should have checked through the peephole before opening.
Namjoon notices your features drop and it makes him feel terribly guilty for his actions and words. With that guilt, also comes the strong need to make things right.
"Do you need something?" You keep your tone cold to avoid any display of emotion. It's not that you are mad at him for the rejection. You're hurt about it, sure. Mad? No.
However, you feel incredibly embarrassed about confessing the way you did. You are aware that you were under the influence of alcohol but that doesn't make it any less humiliating.
"I need to talk to you," Namjoon replies shakily as he finds his anxiety increasing. What if you have decided to move on or have come to the conclusion that he isn't worth it?
You'd really like to make an excuse as to why you wouldn't be able to talk right now but something in you makes you decide otherwise. Maybe it's because you don't want things to be awkward between the two of you as it would put Yoongi in a tough spot. Or maybe it's because you hate seeing Namjoon so anxious, that you find yourself moving out of his way.
"Can I take a seat?" He asks awkwardly, with his index finger pointing at the couch, when he realises that you are simply waiting for him to start talking about whatever it is that he is here for.
You are aware that you are being rude but you honestly don't know how to behave 'normally' around him, anymore. So, you simply hum and wait for him to take a seat.
"Uhm," he clears his throat, "I wanted to talk to you about what happened at the party."
"We can talk about anything but that," you say pointedly. There's no way you are going to talk about that night when all you want is to leave that memory somewhere far behind.
Namjoon notices the discomfort that etches your features despite your attempts at hiding it and sighs. "Okay, then I won't bring that up but I need to tell you something."
"Go on."
Namjoon takes in a deep breath before closing his eyes to grab the courage to let the words spill out. "I'm in love with you."
At first, the words don't sink in.
You stand there, leaning against the wall, watching Namjoon. However, when you see the scared and anxious look on his face, you replay his words in your mind.
I'm in love with you.
He's in love with you.
The thought makes you angry.
You scoff. "Do you expect me to take you seriously?"
Namjoon shakes his head. "I don't expect you to but just hear me out."
"I don't want to." You declare stubbornly.
"I know but give me just one chance to explain myself." He pleads gently, not wanting you to feel as if you have to hear him out. He has already caused you enough pain and if you choose that you do not wish to hear him out, he is going to respect that.
You want to laugh at Namjoon's request. You can accept the fact that he does not have feelings for you, no matter how hard that might be. But accepting that he is in love with you after the pain that you have been through? You can't accept that.
You'd very much like to close this topic and never have either of you mention it. But you can't say no to Namjoon when he looks like that. He is one of your biggest weaknesses and not hearing him out would cause you pain as well.
Instead of telling him verbally that you will hear him out, you look out of the window and stare outside blankly, which is enough for Namjoon to know that you're listening.
"I never thought that my feelings would be reciprocated. Which is why, I did not know what to say and said what I thought was right, at the time," his voice comes out vulnerable.
You feel your annoyance flaring. If that really were the case he could have just said the truth. Why lie? Whose first instinct is to lie about their feelings, upon realising that they are not one sided?
Namjoon's next words answer your unasked question. "After my last two relationships ended the way, they did, I thought that all my relationships were destined to be doomed. I was scared to commit to anyone, especially you."
He sighs. "If we were to date and break up, it would change everything not only for the both of us but also for Yoongi. And if that were to happen I'd never be able to forgive myself."
It was around the time that Namjoon mentioned his last two relationships, that you stopped pretending to not care about what he had to say. You know how sensitive the topic is for him and for him to bring it up now, it must be serious.
To put it simply, his last two relationships ended terribly. But each time, Namjoon blamed himself and thought that it was entirely his fault, which you know isn't the case.
Now that Namjoon breaks it down to you, you find your anger fading and find yourself sympathising with him. You may not agree with his actions but you can understand where he was coming from.
What you don't understand, however, is why he is telling you these things. If you're understanding him right, he said what he said at the party because he was scared. But now, he is here, telling you that he loves you. But why?
"Why are you telling me this?" You ask and you are surprised by the lack of coldness in your voice. Maybe it's because he's being vulnerable with you that gives you the courage to put your embarrassment aside for the time being.
Namjoon smiles softly. "I had a chat with Yoongi and it made me realise that I am the only one who thinks this way."
He was indeed scared shitless of his feelings affecting the friendship between him and Yoongi. He had taken Yoongi's cautionary way too seriously and while he was under that impression, what scared him even more was that he would take the risk of being with you only to later wish that he had stayed in his lane. He thought that maybe Yoongi too shares the same viewpoint as he does and hence had asked him to stay from you.
When he had gathered the courage to talk about it to Yoongi, it was with the intention of getting Yoongi's approval. Namjoon already knew that he wasn't going to listen to the voice in his head and that you were worth the risk.
However, when Namjoon went back to his dorms and thought about the conversation he had with Yoongi, it made him realise that he was the only one who was holding these beliefs. Not only that, but Yoongi's reaction made him believe in himself, because even if Yoongi won't ever say it out loud, his calm and nonchalant behaviour was him letting Namjoon know that he trusts him.
"Plus," Namjoon continues, "I know I would regret it forever if I were to let you go simply because I was scared."
You swallow at his words as any remaining trace of anger is washed away from your body.
You know it can't be easy to do something when your insecurities are constantly telling you to do otherwise. But him doing just that, serves as a testimony of his love for you. Hence, even though at the beginning you weren't willing to accept his declaration of love, now you find your heart melting.
"So," you fiddle with your fingers. "What does all this mean?"
"Well if you have forgiven me for my stupidity, I'd like to take you out on a date." Namjoon hopes it isn't too soon to ask you out. But more than anything else, he wishes for your forgiveness.
His words make your chest hurt and you immediately rush to make things clear. "There's nothing to be forgiven, I never held a grudge against you."
"But you wouldn't even look at me?" He asks, with a pained look.
Your heart sinks further. You had thought that it was only painful for you clearly that wasn't the case. "That's because I was embarrassed. It's just incredibly stupid to get drunk because you saw the man you love kissing someone else and then going and confessing like that."
Aaaahhhh.
Right, that whole him making out with someone, thing. He now remembers you mentioning it at the party.
"Sorry to break it to you, but I did not kiss anyone," a small amused smile plays on his lips. "I was only helping the girl to get rid of something that had gotten into her eyes."
Your eyes widen when you hear that. Gosh, could you be any more stupid? You close your eyes tightly and groan in annoyance.
Namjoon gets up from the couch and slowly walks towards you. He understands why it might have looked like he was making out with someone, after all, parties have the worst lighting. But he doesn't want you to feel embarrassed about it. After all, if it hadn't been for that misunderstanding, you would have never confessed and neither would he.
After a small moment of hesitation, he puts his palm on your cheek and urges you to open your eyes.
"Hey," he whispers. "I'm really glad you misunderstood things that day. But I can assure you, that yours are the only lips I would ever want to kiss."
His words make you gulp. Here you were drowning in embarrassment a few moments ago and here you are now, breathless from the close proximity.
"Prove it," you whisper back.
Namjoon's eyes fall on your lips. As much as he would like to feel how soft your lips are, he wants to do things right.
With great willpower, he brings his eyes back to yours and kisses you on the forehead. "Trust me, there's nothing more I want than kissing you right now. But I want to take you out on a date first."
You chuckle at his words. "Well then, take me out on a date and at the end of it, kiss me like you mean it."
Namjoon's heart does a little dance at your words and he already feels his mind coming up with ideas of how he can make the date one that you never forget. "I'll make the date as perfect as you are."
Maybe you two will indeed be like one of those couples, Yoongi finds intolerable.

Yoongi raises a brow.
It’s roughly been around an hour past nine, too early of a time for his own sake. Yet, he's here sitting in the office, working on his statistics like every other office worker in his department.
Scratch that. Every office worker except you.
You emerge bright and early, two cups of warm brewed coffee in your hands. You place one on his desk, greeting him with a friendly good morning and turning to your desk. Booting your desktop up, your attention immediately gravitates towards your phone.
A small smile curls on the corner of your lips, before you’re resuming back to looking at your monitor, eyes sweeping over the sheer load of emails that have piled up.
And yet, you haphazardly run through them, a smile still lingering on your lips.
It’s freaking the hell out of him.
“Y/N,” He calls, your rounded irises revolving over to him, “Is everything okay?”
“Yeah, of course.” You narrow your eyes, “Is everything okay with you, Yoongi?”
“Sure.” He mutters, features still contorted. You nod, rotating around to view your monitor and clicking on an email to answer it.
Yoongi watches you carefully, noticing you replying to all of them how you usually would – with sharpened eyes and fingertips frantically typing. It brings him some ease, but he can’t quite place his finger on what has changed.
It doesn’t take long for him to get answers.
There’s a man that appears in the far corner, line of vision concentrated on Soyou and the file she hands him. He attentively listens, humming alongside her words and then he turns, appearing to head back to his office.
His eyes linger.
He looks like he’s trying to be subtle, but he isn’t actually – Yoongi notes. They flicker everywhere before landing onto your working form, a sheepish grin tugging on his lips.
The CEO takes a couple of strides over.
“Hi,” He quietly enunciates, standing in front of your cubicle and sounding breathless. Your gaze immediately snaps outwards, eyes brightening.
“CEO Kim.” You formally address, abandoning your emails instantly.
“Been busy today?” He softly inquires.
“Yeah, there’s just so much to do.”
“Ah, I see.” He grimaces, smiling at you all too tenderly.
Yoongi breaks the silence, feeling like suffocating himself.
“Are you two together?”
You spin around, mouth falling agape. Jin’s eyes enlarge twice the size.
Yoongi stares back at the two painfully oblivious people before him.
“H-How did you know?” You can only manage to sputter out, and he looks unamused.
“Really? Have you seen yourselves?” He quirks up a smile, “Don’t forget I’m married, Y/N.”
You roll your eyes and Jin sighs, We need to get better at this.”
“I know.” You scratch the back of your neck, “It’s just really hard not seeing each other.”
“Tell me about it.” Jin remarks, “I should get back to work.”
You nod and he swivels, intent on heading back to his office. But then a call of your name has you glancing in his direction.
Jin places a hand on his lips, gesturing it towards you before leaving.
Face flushing, you awkwardly clear your throat, pretending like you hadn’t just witnessed him throw a flying kiss in your direction.
Tumblr media
Jungkook nearly chokes on his noodles.
“You’re in a relationship?” Recognition floods him, an accusatory finger being pointed towards Jin, “With him?!”
Jin raises an annoyed brow and you nod, munching down on your food.
“How on earth–”
“Congrats, Y/N!” Hoseok exclaims, turning to Jungkook and wrapping an arm around him. “Trust me, this has been in the making for a long time.”
“Welcome to the party, kid.” Yoongi snorts, taking a sip of his coffee.
“Wow…” Jungkook mutters, “It just seems like yesterday you were complaining about him.”
“Or running after him for his training.” Yoongi adds on.
“Yah! Don’t you all have something nice to say about me?!” Jin protests, to which Jungkook rolls his eyes and a corner of Yoongi’s mouth lifts.
“We’d just ask you to keep this to yourselves.” You add on, and Jin hums. Although you were more than happy to be together, you weren’t keen on advertising the status of your relationship within the workplace, coming to the agreement that you had separate work lives to attend to.
“Of course.” Hoseok confirms.
Yoongi speaks up, “Don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone.”
“Thank you.” You retort as the door to the break room opens, with Taehyung and Jimin emerging.
In an instant, the former’s vision lands right upon your intertwined hands.
“You’re together?!” He loudly boasts and Hoseok hushes him down, ushering the two of them to join quietly.
“Oh my gosh, this is great!” He whispers, making eye contact with Jin, “Our plan worked!”
Jin sheepishly chuckles, but you frown.
“Plan?”
“Uh….” He throws a side-eye in Yoongi and Hoseok’s direction – much to yours, Jungkook and Jimin’s confusion. “How do I explain this?”
“We kind of knew…” Hoseok begins with a light chuckle, “About Jin’s feelings, so we tried to help him out.”
You take in their words with complete bafflement. “All of you knew?”
“I didn’t know!” Jungkook pipes up, but you ignore him.
“Wait, that means Taehyung knew, Hoseok knew–” You stop counting on your fingers, eyes landing on the cat-like man that’s smirking at you.
“Bingo.” Yoongi chimes, watching you let out a huff.
“Even Yoongi knew?” You let out in exasperation, watching him chuckle. Glancing at Jin in puzzlement, he simply shrugs.
“He’s surprisingly good at giving relationship advice.”
“Aw, hyung.” Taehyung pouts in his direction and Yoongi grimaces at the reaction.
However in the midst of their conversation, your mind is still buzzing and churning, bringing you back to all the antics that were occurring before the two of you got together.
The memories flash by one by one again – Jin approaching you abruptly, Taehyung pitching in and declaring everything he was wearing, Hoseok and Yoongi chiding you, making you utterly puzzled at their words.
Amongst all of this, Jin’s odd behaviour stands out most to you.
“Wait a minute, were you trying to impress me?”
You eye him and he visibly pales, but Taehyung beats him to it.
“He was! That’s why he dressed up for you and everything too!”
A gasp leaves you and Jin attempts to cover his face.
But your next words have him doing a double take.
“Wow,” You retort, “That was around when I realized I had feelings for you.”
“See! I told you it worked!” Tehyung exclaims, but Jin just stares at you.
“R-Really…?”
The corners of your lips curl into a tender smile and his gaze turns warm.
Hoseok loudly sighs, observing you.
“Man, being in love is nice.”
“You’ll find someone, Hoseok.” Yoongi pats him on the back and he appreciatively smiles.
“You’re so kind, hyung.” Taehyung inches towards the cat-like man, embracing him immediately.
Yoongi scoffs, attempting to push him back to which Taehyung complains at. You and Jin chuckle at the sight of Yoongi being utterly smothered with affection.
He gets up to head back to his office, detangling Taehyung’s arms off of him and mumbling underneath his breath, “I swear, everyone in this office is out to get me.”
“I’m not.” Jin winks, sending a flying kiss in his direction that Yoongi deeply recoils at.
“Go away, you’re the worst one.”
Jin cheekily snickers as Yoongi turns to leave.
***
After Yoongi’s departure, you had quickly finished up your lunch. Jungkook, Jimin and Taehyung remained, while the rest of you decided to head out soon as well.
“Oh–” Jimin immediately stands up, tapping you on the shoulder as you pack up your belongings.
You spin around in surprise. “Before I forget, I wanted to say congratulations on your relationship, Y/N.” He timidly brings up, drawing up a soft smile on your lips.
“Uh, I–” A sheepish expression crosses him upon hearing Jungkook and Taehyung make a ruckus in the background. “I just want to say thanks, for trusting me about it.” There’s a small smile on his lips as he watches Taehyung steal one of Jungkook’s snacks, “All of you have been very kind to me.”
You pat his shoulder, “Of course, Jimin.”
“Jimin!” Taehyung hollers. “Quick! Take Jungkook’s other arm off so I can eat this!”
“Hey!”
Jungkook snaps back at him and you chuckle, giving Jimin a knowing look.
“I also think you fit perfectly into this group of ours.”
He breaks out in a giant grin, an endless list of gratitude ready to spill from him.
Bidding all of them goodbye, you leave the room to find Jin and Hoseok talking to each other.
Jin's eyes perk up and he swings an arm around you. “Going back to work, Sugarplum?”
You recoil, “Sugarplum? Really?”
He frowns, “What? What other fruit do you want me to call you?”
“Anything but that!”
“Alright, raisin it is!”
You glare at him and Jin cheekily smiles. Hoseok snickers at the interaction, walking alongside you.
“You know, you two are so perfect for each other that it’s actually ridiculous.” He grins, “But I’m really happy for you.”
You glance at him knowingly and he soon departs, heading over to his office. You trudge over to your cubicle and Jin leans against your desk, watching you sit down.
“Don’t you need to go back?” You ponder, pointing in the direction of his office.
“I don’t want to.” He appears, leaning forward. “I want to spend more time with you.”
You giggle at that and Yoongi coughs loudly, peering over the plastic separating the two of you.
He groans, “Can you two go be lovey dovey somewhere else?”
Jin sends him a flying kiss. “It’s okay Yoongi, I know you love me too.”
Yoongi grimaces like he’s been shaken to the core, and you stifle a laugh at Jin's shamelessness.
He sighs, mumbling underneath his breath. “I swear, you and this boyfriend of yours.”
You and Jin make eye contact, laughing at his remark. All while the man grumbles and tries to get his work done.
Tumblr media
The end of your day comes sooner than you had hoped.
When the clock strikes 5pm, you’re actually surprised and wonder where time has escaped to. You contemplate if it has to do with the good mood you’ve recently been in, the day not stretching out and feeling close to a tiring whirlwind as it usually does.
You’re also not used to someone waiting for you once you’re done packing up.
Throughout the rest of the day, you don’t see Jin as much – acknowledging that he was as busy with his work as you are, but you notice that he’ll come by every once in a while, excuses of paperwork or walking by tumbling from him. It was only when you saw the wide grin on his features that you know exactly why he’s near your cubicle, stirring up conversations with you or asking you if you needed coffee.
It’s extremely endearing – you have to note – especially when you walk past the line of cubicles late into the evening only to find him leaned against the wall and his gaze fixated on his phone, very clearly waiting for someone to show up.
You step in front of him and he immediately looks up, a grin pulling on his face.
“Hey.”
“Been waiting long?” You inquire.
“Not at all.” He steps off from the wall, reaching out his hand that you gladly take.
“How was work?” You honestly ponder, strolling towards the elevator with him.
“Not too bad,” Pressing the button, the numbers on the elevator begin to tick down, “They’ve been wanting me to make some executive decisions and I had been consulting my dad about it, but for the most part,” He shrugs, as if the mere thought of doing them before weren’t bringing him great amounts of stress the weeks prior, “I think I can do them on my own now.”
You step into the elevator, twirling at the sound of his voice. “Is that confidence I hear?”
“Of course.” He articulates smugly, “I’m Kim Seokjin, the CEO of Kim Electronics. What were you expecting?”
“Honestly, nothing else.” You chide at his notorious self-praises and he chuckles.
The elevator doors open with a ding and a familiar face peers up.
“Oh? Going home?” You speculate, gaze coming into contact with Jungkook’s surprised one.
“Yeah, just debating if I want to catch the bus or take a cab home.”
You grimace, “You must be really exhausted.”
“Not as exhausted as when I was working at the restaurant.” A knowing smile crosses him and you mimic his expression, all too aware of how much you’ve been through together.
Jin’s eyes glint, something impassible spreading across his expression.
“Well, I’m going to go.” Jungkook turns, waving over to Jin. “Don’t be so annoying to Y/N!”
“Yah!” Jin looks like he’s about to run after him and you shake your head with a laugh.
***
After leaving work, Jin ends up driving you home.
You talk about going on another date, one on the weekend and away from your busy schedules, since the two of you were quick to realize that you weren’t left with much time after work to do something more significant. Jin agrees wholeheartedly with your sentiments, stating that his work as a CEO only seems to be increasing with time and he wanted to at least spend some proper time with you.
You open the car door and he reaches to help you out.
“Oh, I never asked–” He raises his head to look at you, “How has the restaurant planning been going?”
“Pretty good.” He brings up, “Based on time I get from not working, I’ve been going through the details with Namjoon and we’ve started finalizing the permits.”
You clap your hands together. “That’s amazing!”
Jin softly smiles and you continue, “Honestly, after working at a restaurant for so long, I can’t wait to see what yours will look like.”
“Right, you worked at a restaurant…” He mumbles, voice dropping down a tone.
“Yeah, remember?” Puzzlement strikes you at his change in demeanor. “Me and Jungkook used to work together.”
Your words fall into silence, and you blink wide-eyed, not quite expecting it. Jin stands with his hands in pockets, his eyes averted.
Having been with him for so long, his reactions are always a dead giveaway for you.
“What’s wrong?”
“What?” He’s thrown off guard, not expecting you to ask. “N-Nothing’s wrong.”
“Is it your restaurant? Work?” His silence doesn’t give you any answers, so you take a wild guess based on your conversation. “Me working at a restaurant?”
He stiffens, and your eyes light up.
“I’m not working there anymore if you’re concerned about my wellbeing, in fact I have more time now to–”
“It’s not that…” Jin lets out a drawn out sigh.
“Then what is it?” You press forward, completely baffled. Racking your brain, there’s nothing else that you talked about recently, nothing else except–
Eyes flickering, your lips move and you blurt out your next question.
“Is it Jungkook?”
His eyes are wide and when it looks like he’s about to deny it immediately, your brows raise.
You can’t believe the next words you sputter out.
“Are you jealous?”
“N-No!” He immediately falters, resolve dwindling. “Okay, maybe a bit…”
“Really? You’re jealous of Jungkook?” You’re in disbelief at his resolution, “We’re just friends, Jin. That’s all, in fact we–”
You catch yourself in an instant, and he stares at you attentively, too hooked on your words.
“You what?” You’re silent, but he continues, “Y/N?”
You wince, unsure of how this will sound.
“We…actually went on a date once.” Jin’s eyes are as wide as ever and you raise your hands in defense, already anticipating his reaction. “We didn’t want to go! Hoseok was convinced after seeing us at the internship together that we’d be a good match, and ended up pushing us into going on a date.”
You sigh, remembering the disaster of the entire ordeal. “Truth be told, neither of us came out of it to be anything more than just friends.”
Jin crosses his arms, his gaze on you heavy.
“Where did you go?”
“To the movies, Jungkook wanted to watch some Marvel film.”
“What did you talk about?”
“Mostly work, or about Hoseok and Yoongi…” You furrow your brows. “I think a bit about his resume too, he wanted me to look over it.”
His voice falters, “So… you didn’t have feelings for each other?”
You shake your head. “We didn’t, Jungkook even left early because he was tired and felt like we only went for Hoseok.”
He holds a deep frown, arms still crossed with suspicion gleaming in his eyes. However after a moment passes, he exhales and nods, shoulders slumping down.
The tension leaves his form as easily as it rose.
A playful glint enters your eyes, attempting to lighten the mood.
“Who knows, maybe after all that we do have lingering feelings for each other,” You wave your hand around, pulling off your most dramatic tone that you’ve heard him use before. “Sometimes when I see him, I just–”
Jin grasps onto your hand mid-air.
“Hey.” He intently gazes at you. “I like you. A lot.”
You’re rendered speechless – fully expecting him to retort something playful in turn to you as always. Instead, you’re left resorting to simply nodding, frozen by his sudden surge of confidence.
At the sharp silence, you sputter out. “I-I was just joking.”
His confidence dwindles just as fast.
“I-I didn’t mean to…” He appears flustered, realization dawning across him. You softly smile, finding his wavering confidence at moments like this endearing.
“I guess I just saw the two of you together,” He explains, “and well… I think I saw what Hoseok saw.”
You look at him in concern, before letting out a low wistful sigh.
“Hoseok buys plants to excuse his mom’s requests for grandchildren.” You point-blankly state and Jin snorts underneath his breath, “Besides, he did say that we were a perfect match.”
His eyes twinkle at the recollection, a wide smile breaking out on his features. “He did, didn’t he?”
You tenderly nod and he cutely wraps his arms around you, pulling you against him. You laugh at the gesture, smiling into his embrace.

Modern aus are a lot of fun and i do understand the narrative signifcance of power and class in mdzs and to preserve characterization you may find the need to replicate that in a modern story but please stop making Nie Mingjue a ceo. Why would you do that to him? Stop taking him out of his natural habitat (in the forest chopping wood with his shirt off) the office environment does NOT provide him with enough enrichment!

wanted to lie about her involvement in lsf to let people believe it was her group since bang sihyuk (hybe ceo) didnt have faith in them
made a separate label to be able to see through their debut, even though shed only own 20 percent of the company
filed a formal complaint to hybe about belift plagiarizing newjeans

——————————————————————————
Every jaw in the room dropped as the tv screen went blank. The lights in the house following suit as they cut out with an electric buzz in the air.
“Someone call Kitten now!” Yoongi yells in the darkness.
You had texted the group to say you were running late, but you were on your way to dinner. The others had worn their costumes, preparing the meal together when Taehyung had called them all into the living room.
“It’s a Halloween prank,” Namjoon tries to rationalise, but his breathing is heavy. “The news channels are obviously playing a prank.”
“It didn’t look like a prank Hyung,” Jimin runs his fingers through his hair, they’re all standing scared still. “And even if it was the news channel didn’t cut our power.”
“Fine then it’s a disease or a new virus, it is NOT zombies.”
“Sunshine!” You finally picked up Hobi’s call, the faint light from his phone lighting the side of his face. The room is so quiet they can all hear your screams. “Sunshine?”
“Hobi help!” The screams are followed by low groaning in the background of the call, the sounds of flesh being ripped through with decaying teeth.
“Kitten!” Yoongi yells, tripping over furniture to get to Hobi who had been petrified into a catatonic state.
And then, silence. There isn’t a single sound, and they all wait with baited breath. They feel the thud of all their hearts hitting the floor when a low moan comes through the line, your voice, there’s no mistaking it but it’s warped, inhuman.
“Bunny?” Jungkook whispers, his eyes watering as his heart picks up in pace.
The line cuts and they’re all left to the sound of their breathing.
“This isn’t happening,” Jimin almost tears his hair out by its roots. “CALL HER BACK!”
“We have to go get her,” Jin is shaking where he stands, his feet cemented to the ground but he knows he has to move. Whatever was going on he knew one thing, you were in danger.
“Everyone turn on your phones flash-“
BAAANNGG
Their souls jump out of their skins as a body slams into the living room window, their eyes going wide with horror as they take in the face in the dark. They can make out no discernible features but they can see the way his face presses against the glass. The silence that follows is deafening, not a breath, not a beat, until they see a tongue lick the surface of the window as if tasting them through it.
“What the actual fuck,” Yoongi breathes, terrified to speak a decibel louder.
The flood lights turn on outside, detecting movement although a little late but it reveals the body’s features and their eyes nearly fall out of their sockets. His entire body is decaying, his eyes set on them, unblinking, his clothes torn to reveal flesh and flies leaving no question what this creature was. But worse, behind him, what started out as a blur that drew closer, a hoard moving towards their home.
“We need to move,” Namjoon’s brain starts kicking into gear, survival mode fighting with instinct to shut down and freeze.
“And go where, we’re sitting ducks,” Jimin panics.
They all turn to the sound of another bang, closer, louder but they all knew what it was… the front door had been breached, they were in the house.
The low moan of their intruder echoes through the dark hallway.
“We need something to fight,” Jungkook whispers, his eyes darting around in the dark, their backs to the repeated thuds on the window from their other guests.
“Knives?” Jimin suggests.
“The kitchens too far,” Taehyung mumbles.
The lights of the hallway start flickering, the living room lights flickering just a second after, the pattern repeats making the men look around desperately for something to be armed with, but nothing usable is in sight.
“We can’t stand here, we have to run,” Jimin starts to hyperventilate.
“He’s right,” Yoongi agrees, tugging the still shell shocked Hoseok to snap out of it.
Jin’s whole body is vibrating with how hard he’s shaking, he knows whatever is in the house can sense them, the groans getting louder and the hoard behind the window getting more vocal with the frustration of a barrier between them and their next meal. He doesn’t hear what words are being said in the room, his hearts thumping in his ears, the blood draining out of him. He feels someone grab his hand, the maknae’s mouth moves in front of him but he can’t make out the words.
He’s being pulled into the hallway, the scene moving almost in slow motion as his brain fails to comprehend the scene but one thing wakes him up. They’re moving closer to the sound, they were running straight into danger.
It was too late, their bodies collided in the hallway, their attempts of escape stopped before they could even begin. A familiar figure stands before them, a silhouette they could make out even if they were blind.
“Baby-“
The lights flicker and the fills with their screams at the horror of their zombified girlfriend before them. They all scream except from one who covers his mouth and his laughter.
—————————————————————————

Domesticated Post-Tekken 2 Era Kazuya is my favorite to think about because this would be so good for him and everyone else but he would have an absolutely miserable time during it
#like I dont think he would REALLY miss the rich ceo lifestyle bc i dont see it as smth he ASPIRES to but as a means to give himself power#if you (jun) somehow manage to convince him that he does not actually NEED power then i think hes adaptable enough to ajust to a humble life#and the whole being rich thing fed into his worst traits#but I think being close to jun all the time would be torture for him bc he would CONSTANTLY be confronted to his own faulty morality#he cant help feeling above other common people bc he endured much more pain and hardships at 5yo than them in a lifestyle-#but he cannot act on his superiority complex about them bc Its Not The Right Thing To Do#he looks at his newborn son and feel *nothing* before feeling frustration and irritation toward *himself*#bc hes smart enough to know he SHOULD be feeling smth#and if he relunctantly admit this to jun she would tell him that if the best he can do (for now) is to not wish or do any harm on jin-#then it is good enough and he should not beat himself up about it (which he doesnt. but he does)#and even jun. she is another person he could lose and he knows deep down he would be happier without her#but being near her bring back to life smth that died years ago at the bottom of that cliff#and he wont admit it but hes scared to lose it again. even if right now its brings him nothing but discomfort and pain#hes not even sure if he *loves* her. and when he asks her whats in it for her. why she stays with him#(not out of self-consciousness but genuine confusion) she just smiles at him because he IS considering the feelings of someone else#like she is so understanding and he genuinely does try and its a really slow healing process#hes still gonna stay a little bit of a prick smug at times but at least he will be immensely more chill out#and even maybe fall in love with jun *jun* down the line. characters that fall in love with each other years into the relationship👍#and his whole exploration of fatherhood with jin. him vaguely recalling smth nice jinpachi (or god forbid. HEIHACHI pre-cliff) did to him#and doing the same to jin out of the blue for the sake of experimentation#and jin's positive reaction making him FINALLY AT LAST feel some tiny tiny thing for his son.#also for all her tree-hugger talk. jun is right meditating in the forest DOES help kaz a lot#anyway. yeah👍#tagging later#tekken

Yoongi's never looked worse.
He’s dressed in black baggy pants and a ruffled white t-shirt. His shoulders are bowed, deep eye bags lining his eyes and hair absolutely messy.
Hoseok speaks up about his haggard appearance.
“Hyung, are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” He states, as if it was a fact.
A low cry resonates through the home, and he sighs. “I’m not too sure about Haru though.”
Hoseok takes a step into the home, followed by Jungkook who trails behind and widely glances around.
“How’s Hana?” The younger man dwells.
“Tired – very tired.” He shuts the door behind the two of them.
Hoseok is utterly speechless.
Yoongi is incredibly systematic, whether it was consistently keeping his office organized or always having the same black coffee resting on his desk during work hours. His home is typically kept in the same fashion, contained within a small living room and kitchen, two bedrooms and one bathroom.
In summary, the man is very put together on normal days. But Hoseok can’t say the same for today.
The living room is littered with both baskets of laundry and several small children’s toys.
A young boy in a white shirt and blue overalls suddenly runs into the room. He stumbles straight into Yoongi, glancing up at him with bright cat-like eyes.
“Dad!”
Yoongi softly smiles, “Hi, buddy.”
Leaning down, he lifts him up into his arms and Hoseok pokes the boy’s cheek.
“Hi! It’s Uncle Hobi!” He giggles, a large gummy smile emerging on full display.
Jungkook glances at Yoongi astonished, “Hyung, he looks just like you.”
“It’s the Min genes.” He warmly retorts, gazing down at his son.
A new voice pitches in, exhaling with fatigue.
“Yoongi, she wants you– oh.”
The woman that emerges from the bedroom door appears to be in her early to mid thirties, dressed in sweatpants with a dark cardigan thrown over. Her light curly locks have been tightened up into a messy bun, lethargy evident in her sluggish expression.
The corner of her lip lifts.
“I didn’t know you guys were here already.”
“Hana!” Hoseok loudly exclaims, going in for a hug immediately. “It’s been too long.”
“It has been.” She grins, “I’ve heard that instead of going out on dates, you’ve been buying dead plants.”
Hoseok’s mouth drops wide open and Hana crosses her arms. “You know you have to take care of those, right?”
He glances at Yoongi, exasperated. The latter merely shrugs with a smile.
“If you’re not going to hear it from me, take it from her.”
Hoseok pouts and Jungkook shuffles over, smiling sheepishly.
“Hi, Noona.”
“Jungkook.” She greets, stepping forward to hug him. “Congrats on the new job.”
He smiles, “Thanks.”
She deeply exhales, “Thank you for coming here today guys. Normally, we’re okay, but…”
Her and Yoongi make eye contact, and he speaks up.
“We really need a day off.”
A sharp cry resonates through the room. Immediately, Yoongi reaches out, putting Yoonsun into Hana’s arms.
“I’ll go check on her.” He mumbles, before swiftly entering the second bedroom.
She sighs, “We’ll only be out for a couple of hours. This one is calmer,” She lifts Yoonsun with a smile, who giggles, “–much like his father, I believe. But Haru has been having trouble with falling asleep on schedule.”
Hoseok nods, leaning down to set his bag aside. He glances at Jungkook with confidence.
“I think we’ve got this.”
Hana nods, stuffing her hand into her pocket. She takes out a sheet of paper with scribbles on it as Yoonsun plays with her hair.
“Here’s a list of everything you need to keep in mind.” She explains, “Don’t hesitate to call either me or Yoongi if you need anything.”
“Where are you going, Noona?” Jungkook wonders, a sly tone to his voice.
A giant grin stretches on her lips.
“Well, my husband’s promised me a nice and quiet dinner, but–” She leans forward, as if she was telling a secret. “I plan on getting absolutely wasted and dragging him down to karaoke.”
Jungkook chuckles and her eyes crinkle.
“Maybe wait for your husband to leave before revealing all your plans.” Yoongi strolls up behind her, a two-year-old girl settled in his arms.
The corner of Hana’s lip lifts, “As if you would say no to me.”
Yoongi scoffs and she snickers, before putting Yoonsun down onto the ground and kneeling to his small height.
“They’re going to be looking after you for a while.” She whispers, softly ruffling his hair, “Be on your best behaviour, okay?”
The boy eagerly nods. “Is Dad going too?”
“Dad has to go.” Yoongi mentions, handing Haru to Jungkook, “Otherwise Mom might come after him for not taking her out.”
She gyrates around, sending a playful glare in his direction. Yoongi simply grins.
***
After a moment had passed, Hana and Yoongi had proceeded to get dressed for the night.
Hoseok let out a low whistle once Yoongi had emerged, dressed in a perfectly ironed out dress shirt and black shacks, clean-shaven and hair parted to the side. He had mumbled something along the lines of wanting to look nice for his wife, to which Hoseok had grinned at. Hana had been waiting for him by the door, dressed in a deep jade green dress and slipping on a pair of stilettos.
She had looped her arm around his, departing with Yoongi and he reiterated to call if they needed anything. Hoseok had opened the door for them, whisking them away and wishing them a good time.
It had been a few moments since their leave.
“Alright then,” Hoseok spins around, “How much do you know about taking care of kids?”
Jungkook shrugs, “Not much, just what Yoongi hyung has told me about them.”
“Okay…” He ponders, “I’m sure it’ll be alright. They're just kids, after all.”
A huge optimistic grin surfaces on him, “How hard could it be?”
The sound of a harsh cry breaks them out of their thoughts.
They both whirl around at the same, noticing that Yoonsun was situated on the carpet of the living room, occupied with building some toy blocks. The sound comes again, this time radiating from the second bedroom.
Hoseok and Jungkook burst into Haru’s room.
The two-year-old shakes on the small bed, having observed the absence of her parents.
Hoseok scoops her up, cradling her. “There, there, Uncle Hobi is here~”
She grabs a fistful of his hair, “Ouch.”
“Maybe she’s hungry?” Jungkook suggests, turning around. Hoseok follows behind him into the kitchen, attempting to break out of the little girl's strong hold.
“The list said she can eat cut up fruits and veggies.”
“Fruits and vegetables…” Jungkook is scanning the fridge, astonishment crossing him at the way the shelves are all carefully organized, with everything having a place. “Wow.”
Hoseok chuckles, “That’s Yoongi for you.”
Haru wiggles in Hoseok’s grasp, excited fingers pointing towards the apples in one section. Jungkook laughs at her actions, taking them onto the counter.
He quickly peels one, cutting it into the small slices.
“Here comes the airplane~” He motions the apple around. Haru flails her arms around and nearly jumps out of Hoseok’s lap.
She grabs it immediately, chewing on it with puffed out cheeks.
“She’s too cute.” Hoseok states, looking down at her as if she can answer, “How did you come from Yoongi?”
“Between the two of us, I personally think she has to be all Hana.” Jungkook points out.
Hoseok chuckles, glancing around.
“Say – where’s Yoonsun?”
A frown mars Jungkook’s lips, before his eyes widen at seeing the toy blocks abandoned.
“He was right here.” He states, quickly filtering through the two bedrooms. To his dismay, he can’t find the young boy and panic starts to arise within him.
The bathroom door creaks out and Yoonsun stands outside of it, blinking at Jungkook's frantic form.
“Oh, thank god.” Jungkook holds onto his hand.
But Yoonsun stares at him with large eyes.
“Where’s Dad?”
“Your Dad went out with your Mom for a while.” He explains.
His eyes well up without warning, and before Jungkook can say anything–
Yoonsun bursts into tears.
Jungkook scrambles to hold him in his arms, attempting to rock him back and forth. But he doesn’t consider that Yoonsun is older than Haru by three years, picking up on Yoongi’s absence far more.
“Hoseok hyung.” He bursts into the kitchen, “I-I don’t know what to do.”
“Speak for yourself.” Hoseok deeply sighs.
Jungkook’s irises round, noticing Hoseok holding up the little girl in his arms with a tinged mixture of apple all over his clothes.
Tumblr media
“Okay, I get that, but–” You huff, annoyed. “Hoseok, stop crying for one second.”
The statement earns you strange and concern glances from nearby shoppers. You wince, reminding yourself to keep your voice down.
You were situated in front of a handful of changing rooms, seated on a cushioned bench with your phone in hand.
Your day had been going good, until well, this phone call.
“You just need to clean up and wait,” You explain, “Don’t feed her right away.”
Hoseok continues to bombard you with questions, and you hear somewhat of a shriek come from the background.
“Was that Jungkook?”
“N-No!” He hurriedly responds, but then you hear a ‘I lost him again!’ and it’s a dead giveaway.
The curtains in front of you pull back and Jin emerges out, dressed in a tailored black suit. He smiles in your direction, but frowns upon noticing the hints of distress in your expression.
He points to your phone and you sigh lightly, gesturing that you’ll tell him afterwards.
Instead, he decides to draw your attention to the suit he dons, spinning around. Your mouth twists, and you shake your head, finding it far too similar to the suits he wears to work.
Glancing around, you survey the various suits and land on a particular dark blue one. Eyeing light up, you arise from your seat, placing it against him and nodding enthusiastically.
He chuckles at your reaction, heading back into the changing room.
You plop back onto your cushion, alarmed from the silence. “Hoseok?”
“Sorry, still here!” He nearly yells, cutting off your hearing, “There’s just a lot going on.”
“Will you guys be okay?” You softly question.
“We’ll be fine!” Hoseok reassures, despite you clearly hearing Jungkook’s voice in the background. “I’m going to just call Taehyung over. He loves kids!”
“Doesn’t mean he knows how to take care of them.” You retort, glancing at your watch. “Look, if I leave in a couple of minutes, I can be there soon.”
“No, no! You were supposed to go out with Jin and–”
“Tell me honestly, Hoseok.” You state, “Do you have the situation under control?”
“Well–”
“Y/N, please come over.” Jungkook’s voice blares through, and you presume he yanked the phone from Hoseok’s grasp, “Don’t listen to him, we could use the help.”
You hear Hoseok in the background let out a small ‘Hey!’ before there’s more crying and his voice disappears completely.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be there.” Jungkook mutters a quick thank you before the line cuts off and Jin emerges from the changing room.
“Well?”
The dark blue looks incredible on him, contrasting nicely with his brown hair. It’s fancier than the previous suit, and adds a mature air around him.
“It looks nice.” You softly smile, getting up instantly.
“Looks like this one’s the winner then. He grins, eyes glancing at the phone in your hands, “Trouble in paradise?”
You let out a drawn out sigh, a grimace crossing you.
“I might have some bad news…”
Tumblr media
Taehyung pulls a silly face for the infinite time.
Hoseok scoffs, “I told you that’s not going to work!”
“It always does!” Taehyung protests, attempting to pull another peekaboo one – to which Haru cries even more.
Jungkook rolls his eyes, glancing at the man near the foyer who’s currently in the midst of taking off his coat and shoes.
There’s remorse in his eyes, “Sorry for dragging you into this.”
Jimin’s eyes light up and he shakes his head. “It’s okay, we were just at the movies and the film was close to its end.”
He gestures to Taehyung, who continues with his antics. Jungkook softly smiles at the thought of the two of them spending time together, musing that they’ve grown close.
“May I?” Jimin asks, gesturing to the attached boy in Jungkook's arms. Jungkook places him down and Jimin kneels, fondly smiling.
“Hi there, my name is Jimin.”
“I’m Yoonsun.” The boy stares at him, sniffling a bit, “Do you know where my Dad is?”
“He’s out right now, but I have a picture of him.” Jimin reaches for his phone, displaying a selfie he took with Yoongi at karaoke.
Yoonsun’s eyes are wide and he curiously shuffles over to Jimin, staring at the screen in fascination.
Jungkook watches in disbelief, “How did you know to…?”
“I look after my nieces often.” He mentions, bringing Yoonsun into his lap for a better view of the phone.
Jungkook nods, sitting down with them and scrolling through his phone for any pictures of Yoongi. But he pauses himself, glancing over at Hoseok struggling and Taehyung, who hadn’t been much help.
He mulls over if he should just call Yoongi and Hana at this point. It was his absolute last resort, not wanting to probe and let them enjoy their evening together.
There’s a loud knock on the door.
He gets up, eyes twinkling at the inkling of who it might possibly be. Twisting the lock, you stand before him, taking in the chaos of the home.
The apartment is a mess – belongings and different children's toys scattered everywhere. You find the two children quite swiftly, Haru being with Hoseok and Taehyung, her small eyes red as they horribly attempt to get her to smile. Jungkook and Jimin are on the ground with Yoonsun, who seems glued to a brightly lit phone in Jimin’s hands.
Every single person’s head spins at your entrance and you are thoroughly shocked.
“Y/N!” Jungkook gets up in relief and Hoseok practically tackles you.
“You came!” Hoseok screeches.
“What happened in here?”
There’s a second voice behind you, and everyone turns to see Jin step inside the home, his irises as wide as your own as he scans the area.
“Jin?” Jungkook cocks his head to the side, not quite expecting him to appear.
You shrug, “I thought it’d be helpful if we both came over.”
“Where do we even begin?” Jin ponders, shrugging off his coat and shoes instantly. You follow his gestures, not quite having an answer.
“Anywhere, honestly.” Jungkook states, letting out a deep exhale.
You take your collective belongings and set them aside. Jin proceeds to step over the toys on the ground, picking up things along the way. You observe as he scolds Taehyung at the same time, telling him to leave his things in one place rather than scattering them.
Jungkook glances at you amused from the display.
You grin, “What’d I tell you?”
You take long strides towards Haru, just as Jin gestures to Jungkook and Jimin to move over to the couch. Picking her up immediately, you carefully sway her and step into the bedroom.
Haru’s eyelids begin to flutter close, a small yawn leaving her lips.
Hoseok blinks, wondering if a miracle just occurred before him.
“How were you able to do that?!”
“I was just rocking her back and forth.” You lift her up and place her into his arms. “It’s a soothing motion that can help with sleep.”
Hoseok hums, cautiously trying to repeat what you had done. Sure enough, Haru holds onto him, another low yawn leaving her lips.
Hoseok looks up in astonishment and you smile.
“That is amazing!”
“Right?” You gesture for him to lie her down, “It was something I did often with Yuna and she would fall asleep right away.”
Hoseok nods, watching over her with a bright smile. You quietly peer out of the bedroom, noticing Yoonsun with Jungkook, Jimin, and Taehyung. The living room appears considerably better, with toys no longer scattered everywhere in a disarray.
You find Jin in the kitchen.
“Do you need any help?”
He turns, occupied with grabbing packets of ramen noodles from one of Yoongi's cupboards.
“Just heat up some water for me.”
You hum, moving to grab a pot. Taehyung shows up as you’re filling it up, glancing at the two of you.
“Hey, do you guys–” He freezes, gaze landing straight at you in front of the stove. “Wait, Y/N….You’re not cooking, right…?”
A nervous laugh leaves him and you swivel around with a frown. “And if I was?”
Taehyung immediately holds his stomach. “You know what? On second thought, everything here seems to be under control so maybe it’s best I go hom—”
“I’m not cooking!” You proclaim, ignoring how Jin’s attempting to stifle his laughter.
“Really?” Taehyung looks at you bright-eyed and you huff.
“Who’s not cooking?” Jungkook pokes his head in, raising a playful brow.
Taehyung chimes in. “Y/N isn’t!”
“Oh, thank god.” Jungkook whispers, but you still catch it and glare at him. “I-I mean, your cooking has such…such interesting taste–”
“Save it.” You retort, turning to Taehyung. “What did you need in the first place?”
His eyes widen, “Oh, strange request, but do either of you have pictures of Yoongi?”
Before you can say anything, Jin takes out his phone. “It depends. I have a couple I took while he was training me, but they’re mainly me trying to be cute and Yoongi being annoyed.”
Your mouth drops open. “You got pictures of him while training?”
He cheekily nods and you watch as he presents the pictures to all of you. The majority of them are of him throwing up peace signs or smiling, with Yoongi in the background either deadpanning or grimacing.
“Damn, he’s really got just one expression.” Jungkook retorts as Taehyung claps his hands in satisfaction.
“Okay! I think these can work.” Jin nods, following behind him into the living room.
You watch as he leans down to Yoonsun.
“Look,” He whispers with a grin, “It’s your Dad who loves me very much~”
A laugh escapes you as Yoonsun takes Jin’s phone in fascination.
Tumblr media
Yoongi is as bewildered as ever.
Firstly, his wife is drunk out of her mind. Yes, she’s still able to stand and mutter coherent words here and there, but she pretends like she needs him around, latching onto his arm and not letting go. Yoongi doesn’t mind, watching over her carefully and even letting her drag him into a karaoke room after dinner, to where she proceeds to sing old cheesy romantic songs to serenade him.
She’s cute – he knows. There was a reason why he mustered up all his energy in saving up for a ring, proposing to her underneath a starry night with the cool breeze of fall after one of their many dinner dates together. Hana hadn’t skipped a beat in saying yes, taking his hand ever since that day. Their two children had been like a blessing to him and throughout all the hardships, he considers himself lucky to have her as his wife.
The second reason for his confusion…has nothing to do with his date at all. He checks his phone a couple of times, surprised to see no new messages and calls. Although he had trusted Hoseok and Jungkook with his children, he’s aware of their lack of experience with them and half-expected a frantic call at any time during the evening. But he’s greeted with no notifications.
It’s odd, but he shakes it off, wondering if he perhaps misjudged the situation. It’s true that his first instinct was to have asked you, but considering you had mentioned to him that you were looking forward to going out with Jin over the weekend, he had decided against it.
After all, who but him to understand wanting to spend time with your significant other.
He reaches the door to his house, puzzlement crossing him.
“What is it?” Hana mumbles against his shoulder, her hands still tightly wrapped around her husband’s arm.
“It’s too quiet.” He whispers, eyes darting around.
Were the kids asleep? Were Hoseok and Jungkook okay?
Putting his keys in, he twists the lock and enters with Hana.
To be fair, he wasn’t too sure what to expect at that point, but he’d be lying if he wasn’t utterly shocked.
Everything’s clean – down to the stacked laundry baskets on the side and the absence of littered toys and blankets around the living room. The kitchen’s clean too, bags of garbage long removed and a handful of dishes, including several pots and bowls, scrubbed and left to dry by the sink.
The first person he finds is Taehyung, who’s snoring loudly on his couch. Next to him sits Jimin, who’s leaning against the foot of the couch with his eyes closed.
Jin is there as well – asleep like the others, but his phone is in his hand and within his arms is Yoongi's son, whose eyes are softly shut.
He hears light footsteps, eyes widening to see you emerge out of the bedroom.
“Oh, hi.” You whisper.
“Y/N!” Hana excitedly throws herself onto you, and you quickly catch her with a warm chuckle.
“Long time no see, Hana.”
She sheepishly grins at you and Yoongi’s eyes flicker around.
“What are you doing here?” He questions, “And where’s Hoseok and Jungkook?”
“They left about an hour ago.” You bring them over to the kitchen, so as to not disturb everyone’s slumber. “They weren’t in the best condition.”
Yoongi leans against the counter, “Was it that bad?”
You grimace. “Define bad.”
He looks at you intently, “Did Hoseok cry?”
“A little–” You chuckle, “He mostly was exhausted, and left looking like he hadn’t slept in a week. Jungkook on the other hand, was okay and calmed down after eating Jin’s ramen.”
“Well, sounds like they had a fun night.” Hana snorts and Yoongi chuckles, shaking his head.
You smile and shrug, “They tried their best.”
“And you?”
“Both Taehyung and I came when Hoseok called us in panic. Jimin was with Taehyung and Jin was with me.”
“Oh, so that’s Jin?” Hana widely smirks, pointing to his sleeping form.
You grow flustered at the observation, “Yeah, that’s him.”
She has a silly smile on her lips and Yoongi slowly walks over, picking up Yoonsun from Jin’s arms.
“Dad?” He sleepily mumbles, and Yoongi grins.
“We’re back.” He whispers, “Were you being good?”
He tiredly nods and Yoongi hugs his son, softly caressing his head.
Hana warmly smiles, “Haru’s asleep by the way, it’s been a couple of hours.”
Her head spins around. “You got her to sleep?”
You hum, “I can show you what we did.”
“Thank you, Y/N.” She holds onto your hands, “We weren’t expecting you to come, but I’m glad you did.”
“Of course.” You reassure, “Thankfully, I wasn’t alone.”
She childishly grins, peeking at Jin from the corner of the eye. “You know, I do have a word of advice for you.”
You lean down and she whispers in your ear.
“With men like that, you’ve got to put a ring on it fast.”
Her words only result in a deep flush spreading across your cheeks. She mischievously laughs, directing her fond gaze over to Yoongi smiling down at Yoonsun.
