If you’re open to requests, would it be okay to ask for headcannons form Zoro, Sanji and Law and a reader who unintentionally “works till they drop”? Like, they’re bothered or upset about something- but isn’t sure how to confront or deal with it, so they just keep on working till they just crash in bed, sleep, wake up and repeat?

[Heads up!: some unhealthy habits, comfort, the boys being good boys 😌]

Zoro ㅡ He may give the impression that he doesn't pay attention to what you do during the day, but he does ㅡ especially when you usually end up napping with him sometime during the day.

So when you stop and he starts seeing less and less of you because you're busy from sun up to sundown, he knows something is up. He also knows that confronting you outright probably isn't the best eay to go if it's something you haven't brought up yourself, so he does it in a roundabout way.

Grabbing at your hand when you pass by his napping area of the afternoon, he simply tugs until you end up leaning against him, arm thrown over your shoulder. "Nap with me," he says simply, and you frown.

"Zoro, I have stuff to doㅡ"

"It'll be there when you wake up." His tone is firm, clear that he won't be taking a 'no' for an answer. When you relent, he hums. If you fall asleep, that's fine. If you don't, that's also fine ㅡ Zoro's intent is to just get you to stay still long enough for your body to get some rest.

And then later, if you feel up to it, he'll ask if you want to talk.

Sanji ㅡ Like Zoro, he knows your routine and any deviation from it immediately sends off warning bells, especially when you start neglecting the snacks and drinks he brings you. (It doesn't go to waste, you give it to Luffy who has no qualms in telling Sanji it's him who ate/drank them, not you.)

"Mon petit chou," he coos as he sets down the delicate flute and plate, "A snack befitting someone as sweet as yourself."

"Thanks Sanji," you say, "I'll eat it in a second."

You don't look up, and Sanji frowns. "I think Luffy might finally get a cavity if you keep feeding him extra sweets."

You freeze. "Sanji...it's not that I don't want to want it, I just..." He holds a hand up.

"Being busy is fine," he says, tone soothing, "but you need to make time for yourself too."

He's right, you know that ㅡ amd you appreciate the reminder, as well as the affectionate hand on your shoulder and kiss to your forehead.

When Sanji checks later, both the glass and plate are empty, and smiles to himself Luffy whines about not getting a predinner snack.

Law ㅡ Truthfully as someone who does the exact same thing, Law's a little horrified it takes him as long as it does to see how bad it's gotten with you.

He feels guilty and tries to get you to talk about it because he knows something is bothering you ㅡ and if you don't, he gets it. But he also won't just sit back and let you tear yourself apart like that either.

So when he demands you take breaks, he does so himself ㅡ gives you the ultimatum of building healthier coping skills with you rather than let you do it alone.

"Are you speaking as my captain or my doctor?" You ask at one point when he tells you that you need to take a break, and his eyes flash before he leans over you.

"As your boyfriend," he intones, lets his fingers drift along the line of your jaw and up to brush hair from your face. He isn't above using affection as incentive, and it's amazing the turnaround he gets from you when kisses are involved.

So sososososo, as a plant mother of 6, can you do headcannons of the gang with a s/o who loves plants and has like a ton that they constantly take care of?

If not no worries Ik it’s a kind of strange request love u (platonically) 🫶

A/N: For sure bro! I am the proud owner of 9 little potted plants, they sit in my kitchen windowsills and I dote over them with all of the love in my heart. I'm a huge fan of succulents and cacti, and I hope you're a big fan of these headcanons!

DARRY CURTIS

Darry is amused by your love of plants, thinks it’s cute how excited you get whenever you talk about them or whenever you get a new one

He’s not against your love for them at all and will offer up the windowsills in the kitchen for you to house all of your plants if you need the space

I have a feeling his Mom had a bunch of plants? Like flowers in the flowerbed outside, small plants in the windows and vases on the table so having plants back in the house is something special to Dare

Not that it’s not special to the other Curtis boys, I just think Darry sort of resonates with that sort of thing more? I don’t know, it just works okay? Trust me?

But also trust me on this, you do not want him anywhere near your plants and I mean anywhere at all

He’s bad at remembering to water them and definitely doesn’t have any sort of a green thumb so do yourself a favor, and your plants too, and don’t let Darry take care of them at all

SODAPOP CURTIS

Sodapop Curtis kills every plant he touches so for the love of God, don’t entrust your lovely little plants babies to him, they will not survive

He doesn’t mean to kill them! He just never remembers to water them or waters them too much or leaves them in the sun too long or moves them out of the sun or-

Soda does like giving you plants and flowers though! He’ll do flowers more often than anything else, just cause they’re easier to come by, but expect a few small houseplants every now and then

Yes, the flowers do come from the flowerbeds in the neighborhood, and yes, the flowers are often times just various weeds and wildflowers that he thought were pretty and figured you’d like

He tries to remember the names of all the plants? But you and I both know that Sodapop is wayyyy dyslexic and wayyyy forgetful so sometimes the names come out wrong

But that’s okay because he’s trying and you can tell and he’s just so adorable when he messes it up because once you correct him, he’ll repeat the word a few times just so he can try to remember it

PONYBOY CURTIS

This boy is surprisingly good at taking care of plants? And he’s very good about giving them the exact amount of sunlight and water that they needed and making sure that they’re growing the right way

Side headcanon that tacks onto Mrs. Curtis having plants, but Ponyboy was definitely the one who helped his mama water all the plants because he just would, ya know, it’s a Ponyboy activity

Pone likes to check out books from the library about plants, specifically flowers and their meanings, and sometimes the two of you will pour over them together, looking at all the pictures

He checks out even more books when you leave him in charge of watering your plants because heaven forbid anything go wrong with your babies-

Ponyboy likes to call the plants by their proper names, boy’s practically a plant identification app after he starts dating you, I swear to everything-

You show him a plant once and the next time you bring that plant up Pony will have at least three facts about it, the symbolism of the plant, and it’s directions for care

DALLAS WINSTON

If you have plants and you care about them at all, do not leave them in the care of our Mr. Winston, you will not have plants anymore

No matter how hard he tries, he just can’t keep plants alive and it’s literally the funniest thing ever because he does all the same things you do and still kills them- he thinks the plants have something against him

But, there is one plant he has that has managed to survive, a hearty little succulent in his room at Buck’s that has somehow not died yet

Of course, that little plant came from you and Dally loves that thing a whole lot but he will not allow himself to water it, for fear of killing it off, so he makes Buck water it and gets really upset if Buck doesn’t water the little plant on time

No matter what you name your plants or what the plants actually are officially titled, Dally will call them by the most obnoxious names because he doesn’t want to be bothered to remember what they are

He knows all the names, don’t let him fool you on that, but he’d much rather call them names like floppy green leaf and spiky bush

JOHNNY CADE

Johnnycake loves that you love plants, he thinks it’s sweet and cute how much you care for the little plants you’ve potted so carefully-

He’s very gentle if you leave him in charge of your babies, following any direction you leave him down to the exact letter, he will not mess anything up and everything must be done perfectly

Dallas likes to mess him up and bother him while Johnny’s watering your plants, saying things like “You weren’t supposed to do that one, ya know.” and “You sure you haven’t already watered that one, Johnnykid?”, and my personal favorite, “You think they’d notice if we swapped out a plant?”

Johnny very quickly stops involving Dally when you leave him charge of plant care

He likes learning about the plants too, he’s like a little sponge when it comes to the care information

Johnny’s really good about remembering which plants are which, even with the ones that look really similar and have similar names, he likes to ask you about them just to see you get all excited <3

TWO-BIT MATHEWS

Two-Bit Mathews is a forgetful person and for that reason, I strongly advise against letting him take care of your plants, he will not remember them until they’re already wilting

That being said, he does think your plants are super cool and will constantly point out new plants to you and ask if you know what they are

It doesn’t matter if you know what they are or not, he trusts you completely when it comes to plants and you could flat-out lie to him about the plant and he would just nod like he understand exactly what you’re saying

Two-Bit really likes cacti I think, the spikier the better, and will always try to poke yours if you’ve got any, no matter how many times he ends up stabbing himself on the points

If you were to give him a plant, I think he’d actually cradle the pot like it was a real baby, super psyched on having his own plant and being just like you! (Give him one of those ones that are like nearly impossible to kill because if his plant dies, he will be very, very sad)

He keeps the plant you gave him in his room, perched precariously in his bedroom windowsill and makes it very clear that no one is to touch it because he’s afraid someone’s going to to kill it

STEVE RANDLE

THIS BOY. Loves to shower you with flowers and I mean all the flowers he can get his hands on, he gives ‘em to you whenever he sees you

Steve gives you small bouquets from the corner store, gives you the wildflowers growing on the edges of the lot, gives you the hearty little weeds that poke up between the sidewalk cracks

Do not let him take care of the plants. I will only say that once. Do not do it.

He can help you pot and move them if you need to move your plants, but he is way too heavy-handed when it comes to watering them and will drown your plants, it’s not at all, I swear-

You can tell when he messes with them too cause he’ll leave grease smudges on the pots and we all know, Steve doesn’t wash his hands nearly as much as he should, and to be honest, with his interest in cars, he’s constantly covered in oil and grease

It’s cool though, he’s way into cars, and you’re way into plants, it’s kinda cute when the two of you go on tangents about your interests and the other one just kinda looks at the first with hearts in their eyes

TIM SHEPARD

There is one (1) plant, one singular plant, in the whole Shepard household and you are the only reason behind its presence-

It’s in the kitchen, tucked behind the sink and seated right under the window, probably the best spot for a plant to be and it stays there proudly, vibrant and leafy and green

Tim pretends like he’s indifferent about your love for plants, not really having an official opinion on the plants you cherish so dearly, but he’d be lying if he said that his heart didn’t pitter patter at least a little bit faster whenever he sees that plant in the kitchen

Tim likes the plants that are easy to take care of, that only require weekly or bi-weekly waterings and absolutely no pruning, he just wants to dump some water and move on

He doesn’t have a green thumb and he doesn’t have the patience to deal with the plants that require a lot of effort-

He’s bad at remembering the names too and will just wave his hand vaguely when he’s trying to talk about one until you describe the plant in a way that he recognizes

CURLY SHEPARD

I can see Curls really digging plants? And just gently cupping a plant in his hands, those scarred fingers wrapped around a pot with the tiniest sprout poking up through the dirt

Imagine for a moment, if you will, tucking a flower behind his ear- something bright and colorful against those inky black curls while he rolls his eyes fondly and bows his head to give you a kiss-

He likes planting things with you, messing around the dirt and planting your various flowers and other greeneries in pots and flowerbeds

Curly will get bored with it though, very fast, especially if you’ve got to plant a lot or you’re working with boring plants, and he’ll try to get you to do something else instead

When you’re watering plants too, he’ll try and nudge your hand so you end up dumping more water than you needed to because he’s a mischievous little somebody who likes to mess with you

Expect a lot of flowers from him too! Little bunches of flowers from the sidewalk and from the yards he passes, clutched tightly in his hands and presented to you with the widest smile

I saw that you’re taking Hazbin requests and was wondering if I could request one!😊 I’d love to request an Angel Dust x gn!reader oneshot where Angel doesn’t have anyone to watch Fat Nuggets for him while he’s at work, but reader feels bad and offers to help him out? This is set before they’re dating, like reader really likes Angel (pretty much crushing on him) but doesn’t feel like Angel notices them much, so in an effort to put themselves out there, they volunteer to help, especially since they know how much Fat Nuggets means to Angel. Angel is a bit hesitant at first, not knowing how qualified they really are to take care of his baby, but he sees how sincere they are in taking on this responsibility, so to put them to the test, he agrees. Of course, Nuggs is a little mischievous at first, but instantly warms up to reader☺️

Later on, Angel comes back and sees how well reader and Nuggs are getting along and he’s just all soft and mushy at how adorable they are😍 Angel’s known about reader’s crush on him for a while and would always playfully tease them about it, thinking that it was just because they were a fan, but seeing this, he can’t help but notice how caring and sweet reader really is😍 and if Nuggs likes them enough, then that says a lot. In the end, Angel thanks them and in true Angel Dust fashion, suggests that they should get to have their own “play date” next time😏😉 in which reader is all flustered and is thinking “fuck… I didn’t expect to get this far”😳 but Angel laughs, eating up their reaction, saying that he’s just teasing and would genuinely like to get to know reader more. in all honesty, fat nuggets was not much of a problem. he was affectionate and not at all messy. all you had you do was feed and tend to his grooming.

when angel returned, he found you and fat nuggets fast asleep on the couch of the leisure room. your arms cradle him as fat nuggets’ hooves rest on your shoulders, all while having a blanket over you.

the two of you looked so sweet, as if a parent with their child. angel almost didn’t want to wake you up. almost.

you froze under angel’s touch, brain trying to think of a response. angel simply laughs, eating up your reaction to his advances. “i’m just teasin’! it’ll be a long time before i let ‘ya touch me anywhere. chill, will ‘ya?” he grinned.

He gives hints that he cares by going easier on you during training and giving you some advice to your sore joints. We all know he's an old man he's not in his prime he's quiet old so when he stands up he cracks nearly everywhere sometimes soap thinks he's gonna become a bag of bones.

Soap: He notices immediately before you even hint out you're in pain. He'll give you some medication and search up some ways to help it but when he does Dr Google says that you only have three days to live and he freaked out and takes you to the doctor's instead 😭

Gaz: He notices quickly because he used to have the exact same pains due to his childhood and teen years playing sports (BIG HC THAT HE DID!!) He'd give you some muscle relaxing cream and remind you every 4-6 hours if it gets worse he offers to massage your muscles

Alejandro: He's a colonel every time after a meeting when he stands up so many cracks down his back it's almost like he's breaking bones. He'd offer a massage and the medication he uses to tolerate the pain a bit

Rudy: He's loaded on massage creams he's around the same age as Alejandro he's not as young anymore. He's always giving the creams out to the team when he notices they're tense or in pain so he especially gives out to you like candy on Halloween!!

Valeria: She's known Alejandro for awhile I would think she's around the same age as Alejandro and Rudy too. She's a goddess at giving massages of course she has to keep her act or being cold and rude. But she does offer a massage but makes sure you won't tell anyone or she'll kill you of course she's just saying that. She won't though.

König: He's 6'10 and would've grown up with growth pain and back problems. When he notices he suggests yoga to help since it did help him quite a bit but when it doesn't help he offers a massage and to crack a few places for you.

Keegan: I think he'd be around late twenties early thirties but then again he does work in military so it's obvious he would have some pain and scars especially muscle pains. He does go to the doctor's quite frequently for it so when he notices you're suffering like him he ends up dragging you to the doctor's.

Makarov: He's definitely a bit old and probably acts like he doesn't notice or care for a bit until he realises it's quite bad and other medication and creams for he's trying to show he cares while also trying to keep he's tough persona together.

I think for Sweden, doing actions comes easier to him than words! Parallel play and quality time is very important to him! Let’s go down the list!!

Iceland- Sweden and Iceland get along amazingly! Like I mentioned, Sweden seems to have a calming effect on Iceland. Iceland can get heated about stuff pretty quickly (his volcanic nature!!) which can lead to outbursts or meltdowns that leave him drained and tired. Because Sweden knows what’s that like, both from personal experience and from experience with his sons, he’s very well suited for grounding Iceland! The important part is that Sweden treats him as an equal, not like a kid, and Iceland really appreciates this (even if he won’t say it outright!) Their activities usually involve critical thinking, video games, chess, stuff like that! Iceland loves the challenge, but he also loves knowing that he doesn’t have to worry about getting too frustrated around Sweden. He can wordlessly count on Sweden to keep him levelheaded!

Norway- Sweden and Norway are very close friends! Norway doesn’t pressure Sweden to talk like others who don’t know him too well might. Their activities very much fall under the term “parallel play!” They don’t have to be doing the exact same thing, but being around each other, not being alone while they do their own activities, makes them both feel happy. Most of their time spent with each other is in quiet environments, hiking nature trails, reading in the same room, going to the library to get books to read in the same room, stuff like that! Though, sometimes Sweden can get a little too absorbed in his activity, in which Norway reminds him to eat or drink some water.

Denmark- Sweden and Denmark are best friends til the end! I believe they get along well more so now than in the past, but their rivalry has never ended! Instead, it’s grown into something they use to push each other to be better! Their activities involve a lot of physical movement or manual labour! They build, craft things, they chop firewood for the other three, and they even spar with each other! Things might still get a little petty, one of them might play a little dirty to “win” at whatever they’re doing, but there’s no genuine malice! Denmark really brings out Sweden’s mischievous nature, as he enjoys messing with his friend, especially when he doesn’t expect it!

Ladonia and Sealand- OKAY OKAY OKAY this is my favorite thing ever! You guys already know I’m a sucker for family dynamics! Sweden spends time with his sons by creating bright and warm memories! He feels so lucky he is able to have kids, to have a family, despite being a “nation.” And he feels so relieved he can give his children a safe and almost normal childhood. Sealand had come into his life with his own bad memories, since he manifested in the midst of WWII. But Sweden is grateful he can protect and guide his son now. Ladonia is younger than Sealand, and thus, he really doesn’t have a scary past. I think Sealand was the last of the nations to manifest and have to deal with that fear so young, but I can explain that in another separate post!! All this to say, Sweden feels honored he can be for his sons what he wish he had as a young nation! He brings them on many excursions, and each one is filled with whimsy and adventure! Sealand, being energetic and rambunctious, loves going anywhere and everywhere! His younger, but taller, brother Ladonia prefers staying indoors due to the nature of his being. But Sweden believes Ladonia needs more fresh air, and Sealand could definitely benefit from getting his energy out, so they do things like fishing! That’s become their favorite thing to do! Ladonia can’t swim, so he wears a life vest in the boat. Sealand helps him put it on and makes sure his younger brother is secure and safe, much to his annoyance! It’s a very precious display, and it makes Sweden’s chest warm! It takes Ladonia a bit to get used to fishing, as he gets nervous catching fish and reeling them in, so to ease him into it, Sealand or Sweden help him catch one and hold it for him to touch. Ladonia eventually holds his own fish and suddenly feels very proud!! After hours of having fun, and with their bellies full from Finland’s home cooked lunch, Ladonia and Sealand fall asleep in Sweden’s truck as he drives them home. And Sweden snaps a picture of how cute they look before carrying them inside, with Finland’s help of course.

They could have had some facilities when it comes to gain a job or opportunities OR -I haven’t seen one but it’s my theory- they have had fight it through all their life to have that reputation and work/ career. Sometimes too much is too much. They can have fixations on politics, they see EVERYTHING with politics. They want power and bc of that they do their research, bc? they want to have control, to manage more fields and more minds, bodies? the thing is that their need is to control. They’re VERY restricted by the image they want to give to others and bc of that they learn a lot about how to treat others in a way it benefits them -to gain more people, more followers-. But they can get lost in what they want and not the real focus, that’s the meaning, why did you started?

11H: They suffer, they just suffer if they don’t feel welcomed, if they don’t feel part of, in a really deep manner. They have a lot of experience when it comes to social groups, community or to be more specific there’s a really hard situation that they haven’t healed in their lives -it made a mark in their lives- and it’ll take them a really long time to even perceive it and to heal it…make your own conclusions 🧍. They NEED to belong, to feel useful, to make society better and what they do when it comes to the last one is to trying to be part of a daily social stuff. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH THEY CARE OF WHAT OTHERS THINK, YOU HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA. I can tell, at least one time or multiple they have had changed for others, they have had lied to not be left out, they have had done stuff to not be different. They feel alone, they love to be in company but also to have their own time. An excess of energy does the exact opposite of the purpose of the energy. There’s people with 11H stellium, my bestie and mom are one of those, what the last one always told me and that I always ended/end up in opposition is that she care too much about what others think. Too much. Finally, I changed her mindset, a lot comparing of how she acted before. They can be scared to be controversial or they prefer to stay out of it. My bestie also struggles to feel part of the environment she conforms.

12H: I just have to tell you: I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THESE PEOPLE. I do but bc I analyze my environment naturally. They don’t fucking show anything, not even about how they’re feeling. If you’ve read my post “astro observations that I founded in my notes” YES. I’m talking about the same person -the one with pisces rising and taurus moon-. It turned out she also have 12H stellium in whole sign system. I thought I was not that important for her and then she texted me and told me that she missed me -I thought it was just a jk, that she wasn’t serious, she have told me that she missed me before- and then she send me another meme that said practically that “what matter was the friend I made in the course I took and not the course”. In what case I was gonna know about this, if the relationship we had was me talking and joking around and she just listening and acting mad in jk. She told me a lot of stuff that I thought she didn’t tell easily others. I felt I had to do all the effort, that It wasn’t balanced and then boom, she told me that 💥

since u struggle with believing that u can i rly rly think that u should do some self concept work bcuz that makes manifesting feel a million times easier and also helps u understand the law better.

when u hear people's success stories and you think "oh thats not possible" or that they're maybe exaggerating, thats just a reflection of ur conception of self and what u believe is and isnt possible FOR YOU. if u think that when ppl share their success stories they're lying, that shows how good/bad your self concept is so i rly rly think you should focus on self concept.

SPOILERS FOR BOOK 5 BUT LIKE so in another AU (called yuuniverse might talk about it more another time; but the yuus can basically learn magic as long as they work hard enough) Ashi reveals her UM in book 5 😭😭 and its like?? she’s aware that Ace could totally feel inferior when two of his favorite people end up getting a head start over him but she reveals hers because “deuce hasn’t gotten his yet so Ace’ll have deuce” and then BAM deuce gets his. AND IM LIKE??? POOR ACEY…

but even just canon where ashi’s magicless she’s just so naturally talented and excels at so many things w such ease that like YAY ACE HAS COMPETITION. BUT THE INFERIORITY ISSUES RHAT COULD STEM FROM IT….. UGHHAGSHVWSHWH yeah. them

❤️ — Ashi freaks the hell out and bursts out red when ace grabs AAAANYWHEFE LIKE. around her midriff/hips and once Ace figures that out she’s done 😭😭 tryna tease me??? yoink I’ve got your hips <3 she loses all power

TBH on the other hand I do think that ace would freak w anywhere on his head??? like head pats head scratches blabalaha <3 v cute and he’ll melt into Ashi during cuddling sessions v easy

❤️ — SPEAKING OF JUST FRIENDS……. Ashi has a habit on grabbing onto people’s arms and leaning her head on people’s shoulders when she likes them (platonically or romantically) and w ashace they hang out SO MUCH that Ashi pretty much always does this 😭😭 espec when she’s tired, she’ll just lean her head on ace’s and close her eyes and fall asleep maybe 🙏

🌺 — ………if ashace have kids the two names they’re planning for are Avila and Alexander (Alex can go both ways, avila’s for a girl <3) to keep the trend of having every family members initials be A.T. 🫶 speaking of initial’s ashi’s and Ace’s are the exact same already 😭😭 both are A.T. (totally not foreshadowing I swear)

❤️ — ace pops by ramshackle for sleepovers WAYYYYYY more often than he does in canon and he NEVER STOPS TRYING TO SLEEP W ASHI. after a while she lets him because they’re close enough friends but like DW THEY DONT GET TOO IN CONTACT. maybe pre-relationship there’s some tickle war’s and movie watching but they don’t cuddle 😔 once they DO get into a relationship they cuddle and ashi’s the little spoon and it is so cozy because her bed is covered in pillows and fluffy things <3

🌺 — Leona legally (and secretly) adopts Ashi during her time in twisted wonderland (they’re like annoyed older brother and annoying little sister dynamic to the max) and Leona’s really protective of her, and so you BET when ace gets w Ashi he has to talk all smooth around Leona if he doesn’t wanna get pummeled 😭😭 for all Leona yumers out there you’re basically ashi’s mom now (sorry not sorry DW she’s responsible)

I’m with you on your Joel and Maria would be best friends agenda. Once she realises he’s changed like Tommy did and genuinely cares about Ellie, and once he gets over his distrust of this random woman whose now his sister-in-law, they’d totally be best buds.

Just imagine them teaming up to tease Tommy about whatever, and he tells her all the embarrassing stories Tommy has kept quiet. They’d talk about their new children, and how they still feel the ghosts of their firstborns. She feels completely safe leaving the baby with him because he’s so gentle with it and she knows he’ll never let anything happen to the baby. They’d end up trusting each other so much they’d go on patrols together. They’d team up on family board game night and practically leave Ellie and Tommy in tears because they’re far too good at Cluedo. And they’d save each others sanity with a nice relaxing coffee when the other is a little stressed dealing with a newborn and extroverted husband or a hyper teenage girl.

Best friends agenda, count me in

some more mariajoel bestie brainrot for u bc u deserve it, i deserve it, we all deserve it:

• joel and maria ripping tommy a new one after he does some foolish carpenter shit (which they BOTH told him not to do, tommy. how many times did they tell him not to do xyz?) and gets hurt. they don’t particularly like each other, at this point, but they cant help but team up at tommy’s bedside because they both berate and baby him the EXACT same way. for weeks they work together to take care of ellie while they nurse tommy’s whatever-is-injured back to health, bonding and worrying and parenting together. by the time he’s recovered, his wife and his brother are the best of friends

• joel and maria both being the Biggest Introverts in Jackson but also somehow the most appreciated and loved by everyone. they start going off on patrols together just to get away from people and not have to fucking talk for a while, and also sometimes to blow off some necessary steam (i think this goes beautifully with @clickergossip’s idea that joel takes maria out to do things like cut down trees and shoot game so she can get some of her pain and rage out)

• joel helps maria retwist her hair every few months (thank you, @liveandletcry23), and when baby miller is born they have retwisting days in which they form an ADORABLE hair-maintenance train: joel doing maria’ hair, while maria is doing baby miller’s. ellie hops in sometimes in various spots after she learns to retwist locs too.

(tommy has been long banished from the hair maintenance train. he pulls.)

• sometimes joel enlists tommy and ellie’s help give maria her own miller-hosted spa days. these are some of her favorite times of the year, full of foot rubs from tommy and board game tournaments with ellie and tall glasses of their good whiskey, which she always shares gratefully with joel

• speaking of board games, maria and joel would ABSOLUTELY crush tommy in any and everything, as you mentioned here. the idea of them just completely annihilating tommy and ellie in a board game marathon until they both rage quit is SENDING ME. ellie flipping over the board for whatever they’re playing and storming out, cursing up a storm, while tommy just sits there pouting like “im not gonna repeat what she’s sayin but she’s right”

• tommy and ellie get so fed up at some point that they flat out ban maria and joel from playing shit with them. maria is only allowed temporary acceptance back in while she’s pregnant, because she loves games and the millers have a Pact to make pregnant maria happy. they will all do whatever they can to make sure she has the easiest, safest, and most fun pregnancy possible, and that includes letting her crush them at whatever game she likes

• kevin’s first birthday following the birth of baby miller is weighing especially heavy on her, and all the millers can tell. tommy and ellie decide to have baby time for the day while joel takes maria out to the lake, just so she can spend some time to breathe and think and grieve. when she starts to look a little less suffocated, he asks her if she’s ever built a cairn. she hasn’t, so he explains what it is while remembering the time he made one for tess. they make new ones by the lake together, her’s for kevin and his for sarah. they walk back to jackson together, hand in hand, with maria feeling lighter than she has in years

• they’re usually greeted back from their best friend time with tommy, ellie, and baby miller trying to hide some sort of evidence of whatever minor crime they’ve undoubtedly committed in the absence of reason. anytime they ask what they’ve been up to, ellie and tommy respond with uncannily similar versions of “nothing!!!!! everything’s fine!!!” until eventually baby miller gets old enough to snitch, which they always do

• baby miller is maria and tommy’s lil baby, but they are joel’s precious little meow meow that has never done and will never do anything wrong in their adorable little life. for their first few years, their feet rarely ever touch the ground because tío joel is always ALWAYS down to carry them anywhere and for however long. maria struggles being close to the baby at first, and it’s clear in the way she almost entirely lets them be held by tommy and joel unless she has to breastfeed. the miller boys notice, of course, and tommy suggests her and joel have some time at the lake. her and joel have a long and important talk about how it feels to love another child after losing your first. hearing joel talk about loving ellie and loving sarah starts to soothe something in her she didnt know needed soothing. she doesn’t hold back in loving baby miller after that, and joel reminds her at least once every few months what an amazing mother she is, to the both of her kids

• for their birthdays one random year, maria gifts all of the millers with their own horse. in response, they surprise her with a christmas puppy
