something that really grinds my gears as I venture into other writing/bookish spaces is the fact that people have to apologize when stating their opinions/personal preferences when it comes to what they read or consume for fear of offending The Majority. Like there's this sudden hyper-defensive stance that fans or certain groups of people take about what they love and if someone else god forbid states (on their OWN account or a comment thread mind you, with others who agree with them) that they prefer not to consume those things or they don't love it as much as those people do then these people suddenly feel attacked??
Like. Imagine me obsessing over a show that I've binged a million times and then someone across the globe whispers the words "eh I don't really like that show, it feels overhyped and I don't get why people like it. I prefer this other show to that' and I DIVE ACROSS THE OCEAN to be like 'You're entitled to like that other show, but I don't get why you have to put down my show that I love so much in order to say that. Like that's just very rude of you to even verbalize that opinion in your own space of living and existing that's nowhere near my space of living and existing.'
Like??? People?? Do we not see how mad that is?? THAT'S what's happening in the book community rn and we're treating that like it's normal, I don't know. I get that people can cross a line when stating an opinion or make generalizations about people who consume certain things, but...I don't need someone else's validation to love what I love? If they don't like it or think I'm weird or whatever for liking it that's their problem (and their opinion)??? It doesn't say anything about me or change how I feel about the things I like? And if I'm around people who are bashing what I enjoy and I don't want to see that then maybe just...click away? delete their comment? click unfollow? follow more people who like what you love to drown it out? idk. People are entitled to not like what you love, that's what makes us all beautifully diverse. idk.
#inkoverted thoughts#maybe my first mistake was leaving Tumblr to look at other bookish/writing communities#and this wasn't even TikTok which I refuse to touch with a ten foot pole#but I just watched a YT video of a girl talking about things she hates in Web comics and it was obviously said with goodnatured humor#but she still apologized or had to clarify that like these are just her opinions and she's not bashing people who enjoy these things#and someone in the comments was like I hate that she had to do that bc people can't take a joke or respect others' opinions#and I didn't even clock it when I watched the video but I was like yeah you're right...#and then I go on Insta and I see an author being like#'in a time when spicy romantasy books are being obsessed over...I'm writing “clean” sci-fi slow burn romance#and most people in the comments were like 'yes thank you I appreciate you adding some variety to the bookish community'#or 'there are diverse readers who like all types of genres its only that the romance readers are the loudest and dominating social media'#which is a separate thing that I do think is a valid point#but then a reader from the genre that's being pushed as The Majority came into the chat like#'good for you for writing a sci-fi slow burn - that sounds interesting but you don't have to put down other books when you say that'#and I'm just blinking at the comment like 😃#whooooo? where did OP put down other books???#all they did was say they're going against the grain and writing something less popular amongst the online book community#please learn reading comprehension#and fifth of all - if this upsets you why did you feel the need to click on it and comment like???#go back to your spicy romantasy community and talk to them I don't???? what do you gain from being in this comment thread??#I'm getting frustrated for no reason but it's just so mad to me that people have to walk on eggshells now to share what they like and don't#ON THIER OWN ACCOUNTS#mad#absolutely MAD#there was a separate debate that came up about the fact that people using “clean” to describe non-smut stories implies smut is dirty#which I didn't even think that and I don't even think that's what people meant to imply when using that term#it's the same way you would use the word “clean” to describe something PG vs something rated R or M in my opinion#but that's a whole other thing I'm not gonna get into#if you want a reason to be mad 24/7 then how about getting offline and looking at what's going on in the world? 😀#better use of your anger I can *promise* you

soooo i keep seeing stuff about miraculous ladybug and keep seeing it in my yt recommended either video essays about how bad/flawed it is or funny out of context clips...also used to follow someone who simped for the evil dilf villain. So i decided to watch the first episode and here are my thoughts so far
the animation is kinda weird in a good way. Like it looks both bad and good. It feels pretty anime inspired but still looks like a modern western 3d cartoon. Probably would've personally liked it better if it were an anime...i actually used to think it was an anime bc i saw screenshots of an animation in an anime style. The animation does feel a little dated but i think the first season is from 2015 so idk if that will change...it is a tv show so i guess it's to be expected that its not super high quality.
the evil guy is voiced by the same guy who did zhongli in genshin impact (and mondo oowada in danganronpa!)...now i can't stop thinking of gabriel as an evil zhongli lol
speaking of him...does he have mind control/manipulation/corruption/turning ppl evil powers? 😳that's kinda hot. I just really like villains who can do that. Also i love butterfly motifs in character designs. I know he's probably an irredeemable asshole who's hated by the fandom but i'm probably gonna like him.
Adrien is cute especially as chat noir...cute silly little catboy :3.
But how does no one recognize them in their super forms btw? I guess a case can be made for adrien bc theres probably like a million blonde teenage boys in paris, even if he appears to be popular and somewhat famous? But Marinette? How many blue haired teenage girls are there in paris with that hairstyle? And she even talks to the little girl she was babysitting and her friend...how did they not recognize it was her in that costume?
The transformations are cute...reminds me of when i'd used to watch winx club as a kid...I'm glad the whole "magicial girl" genre isn't exactly exclusive to anime even if it's less common in western cartoons. This + winx club are the only things i can think of off the top of my head that do the magical girl transformation thing (not as a joke/parody like i've seen some cartoons do).
Probably would have loved this show if it came out years earlier instead of when i was a teenager and stopped watching tv.
But yeah i think its a cute goofy show that i would like a lot more if i was watching this when i was like 13 and not 23 lol. I still kinda like it tho and am probably gonna try and continue watching it as long as it interests me :3.

Team Tokyo First Years Headcanons
(Ft. Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, Gojo & Sukuna)
Gojo created a group chat with all three students to coordinate things. However, he never knows if Megumi reads the texts because he never says anything (he does), and all Yuji does is send memes, so basically that's its only function now.
Yuji and Nobara created a game: try to take a picture of Gojo with his blindfold off. He takes it off frequently, it's just impossible to catch an image of it. Surprisingly, Megumi of all people has gotten the closest. If you squint, you can see the baby blues.
This escalated into "who can take the ugliest picture of someone without them looking", after capturing an image of Yuji standing next to Gojo's desk with almost four chins. Nobara discovered she has many bad angles and Gojo discovered he's photogenic from ALL angles.
Yuji likes to use Nobara's ugly pictures as reaction images and memes. At first, Nobara beat him up whenever he did, but now as long as they don't leave the first-year chat she doesn't care. She'll even supply them if she's feeling silly.
Gojo started a prank war on accident and it shows no sign of stopping. It started because he enjoys Nobara's over the top reactions. When she found the LIVE snake in her bed (oh boy, everyone's soooo lucky she's good with reptiles), she immediately suspected this was Yuji's doing. She pranked him, he got her back, Megumi walked into a prank on accident, he got them back twice over, and now it just won't stop. Gojo was fully prepared to deal with the consequences, but he isn't complaining.
The First Year prank war is pretty well known around the school, and everyone's learned to stay away from anything that looks suspicious.
Gojo uses this to his advantage too; sometimes he'll pull pranks on the first and even second years just to watch them blame each other. He's even gone as far as pranking Principal Yaga hoping that he would blame the kids, but Yaga knows for a fact it's Gojo. He hasn't done anything about it though. This stresses Gojo.
Most of the time, when they eat out, each student pays for their meal. When Gojo's there he pays for all four of them, and if Yuji tries to use the "I don't have any money" excuse when Nobara decides to stop for a coffee, she'll buy him one too. She holds it against him, though.
If his kids are all craving a certain type of food (i.e. Chinese) Gojo will head out and pick it up and they'll all eat as a family.
Nobara proposed once a month they have a "spa" day. Surprisingly, the other two students agreed. She's allowed to give them manicures and pedicures (so long as she doesn't get carried away), trim and treat their hair, exfoliate their faces, and they help her re-dye her hair. Megumi is a good client, while Yuji gets bitched at a lot for squirming while getting his nails clipped and jerking when he gets his eyebrows plucked.
Yuji also proposed they have a movie night every Friday night. If they're busy, they'll move it to Saturday, or have it earlier in the day during the week. Sometimes the second years will join. Gojo is banned because he's basically seen every movie and always spoils the end. Everyone got mad at Yuji's request to use subtitles but gave up arguing with how loud Yuji chews.
They also have game nights, but they lost the pieces to most board games after Nobara threw them out the window, Megumi is the only one who knows how to play chess and Shogi, and Yuji fears the safety of his controllers after Megumi got dangerously close to beating Nobara in Smash.
Yuji's room is the main hangout joint because of the electronics he owns. Literally, there's a whole ass common/living room for them to use. However, they go to Nobara's room for a spa day, as long as the boys are gone by sundown.
Gojo knows damn good and well his kids don't like each other in that way and would never have sex with each other, but he still feels the need to give them the talk ™. He's literally given each child a free box of condoms just in case.
Gojo bought each student customized "if lost, please return to Jujutsu Tech" shirts. Yuji doesn't mind wearing his because it's just another hoodie to him, and Nobara doesn't mind hers because it's a crop top and it's cute. Megumi burned his in front of Gojo.
Nobara takes the boys shopping a lot. Megumi is surprisingly good at picking out clothes that fit Nobara's physique and taste, and Yuji is there to hype her up when she walks out of the dressing room. He also isn't scared to tell her a dress doesn't look good on her, and she respects that.
Sometimes even Sukuna will pop out and give commentary. He gives really mixed signals, sometimes he tells her how she's not much to look at, sometimes he talks about the things he wants to do to that ass because of how good they look in those jeans. This results in Yuji getting slapped, Nobara yelling something like "Shut it, Fang Face!" And people staring at him funny because of it.
She also buys outfits for the boys and occasionally Gojo, because she's tired of hoodies and black. She was just as shocked as the rest when Megumi walked out in his outfit. He only wore it to shut her up, though, and hasn't worn it since.
No matter what they're doing, Yuji is ALWAYS the DJ. He has playlists for almost every occasion (spa day, sparring practice, car rides, game nights, even the times they just chill in the same room on their phones) and the only person that really complains is Sukuna, but only because he hates the Backstreet Boys.
Yuji bursts out in song a lot. No matter what he's doing, he'll just start singing. If they know it, Nobara and Gojo will join in too. Always ends in a giggle fit.
Sometimes Gojo's hand slips and boom! He has 18 dozen cookies instead of 4. He's been known to wrap the cookies up in nice tins and packages and leave them outside the kid's doors.
Gojo has also been known to cook meals for the kids and drop them off. This helps because Megumi is basically the only one who can actually cook. Yuji thinks instant ramen is okay for every meal, and Nobara burns food in a way it's still edible but you don't really want it.
The kids play wrestle, a lot. Yuji was scared to at first because the only one who really wants to fight is Nobara, but he learned quickly she can both take and deliver a punch just fine. She also isn't one of those girls that gets upset if there's an accidental grope, which is cool.
This is how the others discovered Megumi is ticklish. Yuji probably still has the scar and Nobara doesn't dare try to tickle him again.
Yuji fell asleep once and woke up to Sukuna's mouth on his cheek having a full-blown conversation with Nobara while she was reading a magazine. He swears they were gossiping about boys, but as soon as Yuji was awake enough to pay attention, Sukuna noticed and started bullying him. To this day Nobara still thinks she was talking to Yuji the whole time because she never noticed he fell asleep.
Yuji can fall asleep almost anywhere. Nobara draws on his face a lot. He's spent countless nights on Megumi's floor just because he's too lazy to move literally one room over.
Nobara has a habit of walking into the boys' rooms without knocking. Megumi is usually laying in bed on his phone or sitting at his desk, however, she's walked into Yuji doing some weird shit. Not gross shit, just... Concerning shit.
Once she walked in on him crying and didn't know what to do. She just kinda walked in and sat down with him until he stopped, occasionally rubbing his back. They didn't say a word until Yuji made a joke and Nobara continued with why she even came into his room, to begin with.
The three students are surprisingly supportive of each other like that, it's just kinda awkward and passive-aggressive at times. Sometimes they even confide in Gojo, and he takes it seriously, surprisingly.
Gojo has a Tik Tok account. He participates in every challenge, every dance, every trend, and apparently has a huge following. Yuji gets featured in the videos sometimes when he isn't recording, and he's mostly doing the stupid shit Gojo does, like doing backflips on building ledges.
While Tik Tok is Gojo's forte Yuji has done video game commentary on twitch and yt live. Megumi is quite popular on subreddits about urban legends and related folklore, and Nobara helps maintain blogs about current events, but... It's mostly celebrity gossip and new music.
Every Saturday is chore day and no one's allowed to do leisurely activities or leave until they're done. Rooms and hallways have to be vacuumed, swept, mopped, whatever. Gojo checks that the rooms aren't dirty. He doesn't mind clutter, he just hates wrappers and shit being left around. He especially pays attention to the cleanliness of the bathrooms for some reason. Megumi is good about cleaning his room throughout the week, Nobara usually just has clutter on her nightstand and dresser, and Yuji waits until the last minute to clean.
The first years used to do their laundry separately, but Nobara threw a temper tantrum when she witnessed Yuji just throw all of his clothes in the washer at once and simply turn it on. Now normally, she wouldn't help anyone get out of work, but she also likes things being done the right her way, so she does his laundry for him. Megumi got involved somehow and now they throw all of their clothes in the same basket and divide them by darks, colors, whites, and delicates. She refuses to let any of their overly- soiled clothes touch hers, so those usually get their own wash too. Each student folds and puts away their own clothes.
Most arguments end with rock paper scissors. Pinkie promises are also sacred.
Gojo keeps a sticker board in the classroom. Whenever the kids do something good, they get a star. Whenever they do something bad, one gets taken away. When they get to five stickers they get a prize from the treasure box.
No one has gotten to five stars yet. This is good because there is no treasure box. Gojo is bullshitting everyone.
Yuji likes to steal Megumi's stickers because he thinks Megumi will not notice. He does every time.
Gojo has a stool in the corner of the classroom complete with a horribly cliche dunce cap he calls "the Naughty Corner" for when the kids "act up". Nobara ends up there because she's always on her phone, Megumi mouths off a lot and has days where he doesn't feel like doing work, and poor Yuji ends up in the naughty corner because Sukuna can't behave.

there's a limit on how much you can be an isekai intellectual...
a bunch of analyses have been popping up before me all day so i wanted to throw my hat into the ring. all love to ppl who are exercising their creative minds + ppl like geoff here who just talk about these things because of fan interest but i feel like there reaches a point where exploring the "types" of isekai is pointless? i've seen ppl list out the different types of villainess revenge isekai or fantasy mmorpg isekai but eh why fit them all into separate boxes like that?
i think it's easier to think of isekai as a "type" (genre) of itself with only two categories: 1) a focus on isekai (lit. another world) 2) tensei (lit. to be reborn). this allows for a variety of applications and thus tropes that ppl see so many trends of!
with isekai - in another world
you see everything from:
pure fantasy (inuyasha, digimon wait maybe not the best example but in my childhood mind i count digimon as pure fantasy, fushigi yugi)
mmorpg inspired fantasy/adventure (.hack//legend of twilight, sao ugh, log horizon, overlord (LOVE OVERLORD!)
otome game-esque worlds >>> this is where it gets complicated with "villainess routes" since i admit there are multiple villainess tropes but this is why it's nice to not think of this as a "sub-type/genre" bc it frees you from those complications! (the saint's magic power is omnipotent, the white cat's revenge as plotted from the dragon king's lap soso cute!, the savior's book cafe in another world, i'm a villainous daughter so i'm going to keep the last boss wait i can't remember if she's reborn in this one lmaooo see this is why rules make everything hard)
with tensei storylines - being reincarnated/reborn in another world as *insert character/role*
you see...
the same tropes!!
pure fantasy (a returner's magic should be special, reminiscence adonis, the lady and the beast, light and shadow, i can't think of a manga off the top of my head for this ah)
mmorpg inspired fantasy/adventure (so i'm a spider so what i stan kumoko so hard, her majesty's swarm, can't name another off the top of my head ah i hate lists shorter than two things...)
self-insert based games/novels (fiance's observation log of a self-proclaimed villainess, who made me a princess, death is the only ending for the villainess, the villainess wants to marry a commoner, honestly games vs novels are different applications but i'm not in the headspace to try to remember a bunch of both lol)
*insert line break to give random ppl a break from scrolling but tl; dr just enjoy things for what they are no need to micro analyze*
similar variations occur in both genres (if ppl want to be super technical i guess i'm arguing that isekai itself is a massive genre that has the "another world" subgenre and "reincarnation" subgenre tl; dr) so i think it's honestly a huge pain to try to separate all these trends into so many different types of stories. for me personally it's easier to not get overwhelmed by this gigantic umbrella of "isekai" that spans light novels, manhwa, manga, and mobile games by just stripping each story down into its trademark tropes (aka character archetypes, story structures) and slapping "oh this is a person going to a world that's not ours" and "this person gets reborn as blank in another world". none of this "omg this power fantasy is such a this kind of isekai moment" or "there are 14 different types of villainess revenge stories and this series fits into this" bc AH labels! limitations! circle-jerks via ppl trying to compartmentalize everything and sound smart for leaving a comment on story analysis instead of ooh-ahhing over a character's face! dividing things into light novel manga vs manga vs korean manhwa ft. female characters!
the last bit is mainly why i feel frustrated by ppl's insistence to group everything?
the video linked at the beginning of the post (honestly good video essay, i enjoyed it, i just kept thinking in my head the whole time "marimo these are tropes do not take the genre talk literally") has a baby comment thread talking about "korean isekai manhwas" as a genre featuring nothing but reincarnated villainess' and i can't.
like i cannot acknowledge that as a genre of any sort. the energy i felt reading through some of those insights takes me back to 2012 when all yt americans discovered k-pop and deemed all korean music k-pop from then on! (ppl still do this now, yes you are seen and don't talk to me pls i don't like you. k-pop is korean pop music and nothing less and nothing more. take a few seconds and try to parse apart aspects of korean culture instead of slamming everything into a monolithic label that has the letter k and a hyphen.) it feels so odd to see a bunch of young ppl on ig and tiktok acknowledge korean media that happens to be in the form of a webtoon as "oh stories all about young girls becoming villains in stories they made/played" bc it feels so reductive u.u
(positionality disclaimer that i'm praying isn't actually necessary: i am a 3rd-generation korean of japanese descent do not fite me i am exhausted irl of ppl asking for validation/verification bc massive shove off.)
breaking news! korean manhwa...is just as multifaceted as japanese manga...bc how can comics as an art-form not have multiple genres...huh such a shocker?!?! same likely applies to media in other parts of the world like chinese manhwa and french comics--not my place to explain either of those i just know those industries exist bc of wakfu and donghua shows by Tencent.
at the end of the day it's not like analyzing any kind of isekai is wrong--absolutely not!! i think it can be super fun to think about how isekai elements complicate a story (MCs trying to go back home, ppl from the og world, reincarnation plot-twists) or maybe even bash a series for including some kind of other world element when they could have just written a super fun fantasy.
insert marimo's brief ramble that hey you can get sick of truck-kun's hitting disillusioned guys who happen to be super duper smart or girls who happen to be master chefs/craftsmen but transporting a fully-grown being into a fantasy setting is the ultimate cheat code for making mundane modern technology seem cool and overpowered, and being reincarnated as a fully grown person in a world with a pre-made story/game set-up completely bypasses the need for an author to slowly flesh out world-building in a natural progression so isekai is actually a really smart writing tool it's just that there are some series where the author didn't use it well at all and it's cheesy or clearly isekai was misused as a vehicle for character/story development and it was pointless *DEEP BREATH OUT*
in this essay i will argue...lol i am such a culture studies major!! if i were an english major i would be talking all about writing but here i am having a side-tangent about world-building via someone being reborn wow i love this for me (don't get me started on when an author has someone reincarnate as a baby and the story is mostly them having warm fluffy moments with their family--typically father figures--and getting lots of powers i could and would and probably will rant about east asian toxicity)
but anyway am i crazy????? like yes for being passionate about the technical use of a word like genre (i am a scorpio rising let me be fussy pls) but i don't think it's a lot to ask for ppl to not unironically see "villainess revenge isekai" as the definition of korean manhwa.
idk as someone who resonates with why japanese isekai is so popular domestically + why a lot of korean manhwa feat. the same tropes (it's not for great reasons lads it's actually depressing tbh) i'm just starting to feel kind of pained by the generalization and need to separate "cute japanese girl in an otome game"/"japanese boy finds a harem in another world" from "korean girl dies and comes back as a villainess" bc they are just! applications to the same story device!!
recommendations for any who makes it this far down below <3
// also gladly recommend any of the examples i've listed in the above rant as i've read/watched all of them and adore them v much! //
save me princess
super refreshing fantasy manhwa ft. a princess and her ex-boyfriend having to save the world!
the beginning after the end
an AMERICAN web novel turned into a comic (but see it being not korean/japanese doesn't really matter when you just consider isekai as a genre...isn't it nice to not overthink it?) ft. a super-powerful wizard king reincarnated into another world and starting from scratch--gives mushoku tensei vibes but huge twists!
the reason why raeliana ended up at the duke's mansion
love love LOVE this story--read the title and you'll learn how this girl reincarnated as the character raeliana in a book gets married to a duke!
trash of the count's family
such a good novel!! a guy gets reborn as a lazy oaf and he takes the hero of the story under his wing...plot twists come up later on!
this time i will definitely be happy!
v good and refreshing for a shorter series! she's been reborn 3 times and remembers every time the hero's stabbed her in the back, and now she just wants to break up with him!
silver diamond
older manga but v good adventure w intrigue! a boy who loves plants get sucked into a desert world with demonic lizards and a mysterious bodyguard by his side. shonen-ai not BL but wonderful vibes nonetheless + great side characters!
the princess imprints a traitor
adore everything in this from the world (not in that way this society makes me so angry) to the machinations at play and the dynamic between the fl and ml

Hi! i’m a new insomnia and i just saw the minx post - is minx like a sore spot for the girls?? is there a reason why??
yes, it was a really difficult time for them. not mentioning the fact that you can tell the girls weren’t comfortable with that concept, minx had a ‘hiatus’ of 10 months from their debut (sept 2014) before they came back with love shake in 2015, which was a remake of a dalshabet song so that’s not great in itself either. in part it was the company’s fault, but minx weren’t really well received in general when they debuted so it must’ve been really difficult for the girls to feel like their dream was coming to an end sooner that expected :/
it was bad to the point that it made all the ex-minx members doubt their own abilities; even jiu wasn’t sure if she was a good leader, it made dami uncomfortable with showing her cute side in general as well (even tho she is finally getting comfortable with it again), and it made sua just straight up hate short hair on herself.
not all of them have opened up as straightforward, but siyeon mentioned in 2017 how hard that time was for her
Tumblr media
“When I think of that time, my eyes get red. At that time, all the members went into a terrible slump. I didn’t want to hear any music. And I cried a lot every time I laid on my bed before going to sleep. And also - I didn’t intend to talk about this - but I sometimes went to the PC bang with Yoohyeon and played the game “League of Legends” to get rid of stress.”
as well as jiu
Tumblr media
“At the time, I didn’t think that I could look at other girl groups’ performances, so I didn’t watch TV a lot. Even if I did, I got jealous at the girl groups that were on TV, because I was stressed. I went to sleep while looking for the videos from the time when we promoted before. And also, I remember that when we had hard times, we would eat something delicious among the members while clearing them up.”
and it’s the reason why I personally hate minx being brought up constantly by the fandom too lol they just weren’t happy during that time, the only thing to celebrate from it is that it brought them together.  but also given that handong and gahyeon weren’t a part of it, it just doesn’t make sense to bring it up this much or want the girls to sing the songs from back then. dc are clearly happy with who they are now, with who they are as a group, and that includes the songs that they’re putting out, which are fierce and strong and bring something into the world that minx would never be able to.
I think it’s good to know how their journey started and it’s pretty incredible to see the contrast between minx and dc (and I think that’s the main reason why the company has kept up minx’s related content on yt), but we are just... so lucky to have dreamcatcher right now, as the 7 member group that they are, and for as fun as the minx jokes may seem sometimes, they seem like rubbing salt on a sore wound on the girls most of the time

(This mostly feels like an online diary entry, so forgive the spillage of thoughts that could become a jumbled rambling mess.)
Still speaking as somebody who's still fairly new to the RWBY fandom and still learning new things every day via RWBYtwt and here on RWBYtumblr, and just talking with fans who've been with the show for as long as its been airing, it sometimes feels like I've already been here for years.
It's incredible how I learn how entirely toxic and immature the fandom chooses to be than just grow up and accept the flaws that their favourite show has. Even the ugliest flaws that they refuse to fix and has hindered them for years.
To be honest, I've always been a critical person. Even for shows that I absolutely love without question, I won't blind myself to the flaws they have. I don't like to be treated like I'm an idiot, so I assume shows would also not want to treat their viewers like they're idiots that can't pinpoint the problems in the writing or animation.
But what I may say is that the biggest reason why I even started this RWDE Tumblr is because of Twiins and her sister, Critter. I really loved hearing their opinions on episodes, what could be fixed and their video essays on what to do/what not to do in writing. It hits different when you're hearing it from people who've been watching RWBY from the very beginning. It's like they're veterans and I'm just this peewee still trying to figure out how the hell aura works.
Actually, I've always been a fan of people who make content that involves looking into TV shows with a critical eye. It makes me think about how I should look at scenes and characters more closely and familiarize myself with how they should've/shouldn't have behaved or how a scene was bad.
I was so sad to see Twiins leave, but I really hope she's happier doing what she likes now without the fandom leeching on her. I can't explain how disappointed I felt when I saw the screencaps of fans being dickheads to her, and even more disappointed to see how bigger RWBY content creators behave. It really did cement into my mind that it's all just some tightknit bro-club that likes to harass people who criticize them for anything they do. It left a bad taste in my mouth at how childish that the adult fans can be. I can understand how frustrating the tweeny fans can be when they have their keyboards and tapping away hate, but I can't find it in myself to be angry at them. Annoyed, but they're stupid kids with stupid motives, they'll grow up and realize how stupid that was. I hope.
(And anyway, these bigger content creators that love RWBY should be putting a better influence on how to behave and how not to be such a toxic bunch to anybody who disagrees. Accept that flaws exist in the show and it's OK to point them out when you feel unhappy with them. It doesn't mean you hate the show - you do like the show, but you just happen to have a big brain and can point out something's wrong in the writing. That's how the world spins.)
Even if this behaviour hasn't been hitting me, I have seen this very behaviour elsewhere. Especially in Twitter - oh how twitter dot com can be the actual cesspool of hatred. It makes Tumblr look angelic.
It's very snake-like on Twitter, as though you should be more than careful to not wake the beast, or else you'll be slammed and eaten up, only to be spat out and left in a twisty mess of "why?" And the fans act fast - a little too fast. With how fast they react to "bad takes" from people who were displeased with things in the show, it did numbers in my head at how the fanbase has truly shrunk in popularity. If it's that easy to find people you hate, then well, I guess this show really is bleeding out like a stuck pig, and the blood is of the fans that leave as quick as they came.
But still, even if the popularity shrunk, it still has the most rabid ones still around, and they rear their little heads more than usual. A mean girls club, the frat club that requires your pain for their pleasure. That seemed to be what the fanbase was towards Twiins and Critter. Just waiting for the next person or existing person to say ONE MORE bad thing about RWBY, and suddenly it's hunting season.
And just to throw in here - even as I was watching RWBY for the first time without context, yes my brain was turned off as I watched the volumes. And I still felt everything frying in my head because nothing was flowing correctly in the episodes and my brain went ouch. I can legit forgive the shit and turn my brain off for the show if anything was fluent and not so stupidly written. But no, I had to turn my brain back on. Because I don't like being treated like an idiot.
I hope nothing but the best for Twiins, and I will still support her and her sister. They both deserve better and deserve the best pizza they've ever had with new or current shows they watch.
Anyways, I am glad that the encouragement from these YT critics gave me the courage to do my own RWDE blog. It's awesome to meet new people who also feel the same, and I love reading/listen to hot takes or new things I'm still opened to learning.
And yeah, the news of RT selling out made me laugh, but it still sucks knowing they'd eventually lose.

I just watched Twiins Ink’s video on the hate that she gets from the FNDM for her honestly justified critique of the show and I have to say, the people who left those comments should be ashamed.
She’s been one of the only channels on YT who provide proper criticism that isn’t stupidly negative (like Adel Aka, who really does shit on RWBY every opportunity he gets) or completely biased (like MurderofBirds — sorry, Arnold, but it had to be said). Her points are valid, and obvious to anyone with half a brain, and the fact that despite that, people decided to label her and her sister as negative haters is childish.
Lots of people also don’t have First memberships or can watch the episode the day it comes out — does that mean we are automatically condemned to spoilers via thumbnails and video titles that we can’t control whether they’re recommended to us or not?? I’m sorry, Calxiyn, that we dared to come onto YouTube or the Internet when RWBY was being aired but we didn’t have First memberships. That really is on us. We should just lock up our devices, watch ONLY that episode and then move away again because by that point the next episode is available.
Look, if you wish to believe that there’s nothing wrong with RWBY, good for you. But most of us want to talk about the parts of it that don’t work for us, and Twiins Ink and Judgmental Critter help us with that. They offer concise feedback on what parts were objectively good and objectively bad. I don’t think I’ve come upon ANY point of theirs that was spiteful for the sake of being spiteful — they even try their best to dedicate a large amount of time to everything they LIKED in each volume!
It’s the same thing every rabid shipper and toxic fan in EVERY fandom needs to hear: IF YOU DON’T LIKE THE MEDIA YOU’RE CONSUMING, STOP CONSUMING IT. It goes for shows, fanfictions and YouTube videos. And before people say: “but they’re being all negative, maybe THEY should stop watching hurr”
No. They’re being critical. It’s something every content creator in the world has to deal with. They give the show praise when it does something well, and critique it when it does something badly. That’s how it works.
I got into RWBY for two reasons: Qrow Branwen and Monty Oum’s kickass choreography. I stayed because it had Lindsey, Barb, Miles, Michael — so many of my favorite personalities from RT.
But at this point, I could care less if they gave Qrow more screen time, wrote him off the show or finally gave us Team STRQ backstory (despite the team being directly related to two of our Mains) as long as they give Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang focus. And not as a hive-minded entity but as individuals who have their own problems to deal with, who have to come together to form RWBY instead of being the default packaging.
Our girls are now cut off from the plethora of other mains and side characters: this is CRWBY’s chance to prove that they have been listening to honest criticism and have been improving by letting them shine. Ruby lost her best friend, at the hands of her other friend. Her and Yang’s mother may be a Grimm hybrid. Weiss doesn’t know if her family is safe or not, and she was there when Penny died. Deal with that first.
Jaune has already had plenty of times in the spotlight — if Ruby can deal with witnessing Pyrrha’s death offscreen, he can deal with killing Penny offscreen as well.
(EDIT: I’m not saying that seeing a friend die and mercy-killing them is the same thing (as people have commented and messaged me about) but the fact is RWBY likes to brush important, heavy emotional baggage under the rug by setting up arcs and then we’ll come back to the characters magically already being over it.
It happened with Ruby’s Pyrrha trauma, it happened with Yang’s PTSD, it happened with Blake’s entire racism arc (but that’s probably for the best, as they couldn’t have given it the attention it deserved in the middle of all that happened). Jaune and his angst can take a backseat to the girls for ONE volume.)

just a little sweeter (pt.9)
Tumblr media
Heeelllooooooooo, friends~ It’s been ages since I’ve had a chance to post on here. I hope you’re all well and being safe. For those of you who also went back to school, I hope it hasn’t been horrible. And if it has been, God, I know the feeling. I’ve had to rearrange my schedule and reevaluate some things so that I have more time for writing. Not just this story, but the two big personal projects that I’ve been working on for most of the year.
BIPOC rec (because hell yeah we’re still doing this): A couple that I found who do workout videos (I’ve been slacking on the exercising because I hate home workouts with a passion), MrandMrsMuscle. Check them out on YT. I’m currently doing their 30 day workout challenge, just to ease me back into consistency. Anyway, byyyyyyeeeee. (and good luck to my American readers. This election has been a rollercoaster of a ride to follow.)
w.c. 1.7k (fluuuuuff, I just wanted to write them interacting more. lol they touch a lot, but my love language is physical touch and those are just my favourite moments)
pt.1; pt.2; pt.3; pt.4; pt.5; pt.6; pt.7; pt.8
“So, it’s getting pretty serious,” Seungcheol comments.
Eunha shows Jihoon a picture that she’s working on. Jihoon kisses the side of her head. “I’m sure she’ll love it. I’ll let her know you’re making it so she can be excited about it.”
Eunha smiles up at him and he takes the opportunity to kiss her forehead. He straightens and addresses Seungcheol’s statement. “I don’t know.”
“You don’t know? It’s been a few months. You bring this woman with you when you go and do things with Eunha on your day off. How is that not serious? Your daughter spends time with her instead of at your parents’ when we go away for a few days.”
“That’s just a convenience thing.”
“Bumzu hyung lives in the area,” Seungcheol points out. “And he has definitely spent more time with Eunha than she has.”
“He’s not as good with Eunha as she is,” Jihoon answers. He slips back into his shoes. “Hyung, I don’t want to set my expectations too high. A few months really isn’t that long.”
“It’s long for you,” Jeonghan comments. He’d been sitting in the kitchen having a snack. “We can’t deny that fact.”
“Okay, yes, fine,” he groans. “Since Yeri, this is long.” He buries his hands into his pockets.
“You like her,” Seungcheol states.
Jihoon rolls his eyes. “Obviously.”
“Love?”
He feels his cheeks warming. The word has been floating around in his mind for a while. He hasn’t had the guts or the heart to mention it.
Jeonghan chuckles and meets Seungcheol’s gaze. “Wow. No wonder his love songs have gotten so good.”
Jihoon turns to the door before the boys can get into the brunt of the teasing. “Can you please just call me when you put Eunha to bed?”
Seungcheol huffs.
“I can bring her downstairs to Seungkwan if you’re going to be like this.”
Seungcheol sighs, following Jihoon to the door. “Yes, yes. I’ll call you.”
“Minghao said he’d be home later. So, if you can’t handle her, he said to pass her off.”
“Jeonghan and I can take care of Eunha for an evening,” Seungcheol insists. He gives Jihoon a nudge out the door. “Go. And be in love.”
Jihoon can’t be angry at them. Instead, he rolls his eyes once more and heads to her place.
Tumblr media
He meets her in front of her apartment, and she has a wide smile ready for him. She’s bundled up in her winter coat, the collar covering nearly half her face. She bumps him lightly with her hip, hands buried deep in her pockets, and then loops her arm through Jihoon’s.
“What’s our plan this evening?” Her voice comes out muffled and Jihoon finds it oddly adorable.
He tips his head. “Well, I was thinking.”
“Good start.”
He snorts. “Shut up.” He starts over. “I was thinking about what you said last week.”
“Vague and mysterious,” she cuts in.
Jihoon pauses before continuing. “You didn’t get a chance to chew out a bad customer today, did you?”
She tips her head up to look at him. “Shit, you can tell?”
Jihoon throws his head back with a laugh. “You like a snarky remark, but not this many.”
She touches her head against his arm in endearment. “You just steal my heart more and more, Lee Jihoon.”
He ignores the flip in his stomach. “Do you want to talk about it?”
Sighing, she shrugs. “This guy was just chewing out my girls when I was about to leave for the day. I had to ask him to leave the establishment.” She frowns. “I haven’t had to do that before.”
Jihoon feels a protective switch flip on despite the fact that she’s clearly okay and is an adult woman who can handle herself. “Did he lash out?”
“He told me I didn’t have the authority, but a few guys helped out. I told the girls to call me if he came back.” Her hand goes to her pocket. “I can’t stop checking to see if my phone is on sound.”
Jihoon glances down at her. All he can see is the top of her head. Her gaze is to the ground, unaware that he thinks she’s one of his favourite people he’s met in a while. And he’s met a lot of people in his short 24 years of living.
“But enough about my work, I’m here to spend the evening with you.” Jihoon looks away, anticipating her eyes to look up at him. “What did you have planned? Something about something I said last week?”
“Yes.” Jihoon pauses. “Pottery class,” he meets her eyes, “are you down?”
Her eyes widen and a smile blooms across her face. “Oh my god, you’d come to an art class with me?”
“You said you would love to see how artistic I actually am. I told you I’m not. You said something about pottery. And I heard it’s fun.”
Jihoon laughs when she starts to wiggle excitedly next to him. Despite both their thick coats, he can feel her happiness emanating off her. They wait at the bus stop, talking about anything and everything.
Jihoon has picked her up in a company car before, but she hadn’t liked the idea of someone waiting on them. She’ll do it if Eunha is with them, since her suggestion of using public transit almost made him throw up. But he’s willing to do it on dates if it keeps her this happy.
Jihoon pulls a mask from his pocket and hooks it around both ears. She tugs him after her onto the bus and he taps his card at the card reader. They stand near the door, holding the same bar. She grins up at him.
“What?” he whispers.
She stands on her tip toes and whispers back, “I’m so excited.”
Jihoon snorts. “Good.” He pecks her forehead through his mask.
They continue the ride in silence since the bus is quiet. When they get off at their stop, they gravitate towards each other and her arm automatically loops through his. She looks both ways.
“Where to?”
Jihoon leads her left and reads the names of the storefronts. He knows it’s between a café and a bookstore. Another reason why he’d chosen this specific pottery store for their lesson.
“This is us.”
She’s basically skipping towards the door. The bell trills overhead as they enter, a warmth passing over them from the heat of the space. Jihoon goes to the counter, taking off his mask on the way, while she admires all the pottery on display. The air smells like clay and peppermint.
“We have a lesson booked.”
“Lee Jihoon?” the woman at the desk asks, her eyes on the computer. “Ah, the teacher said he was expecting you. Come this way.”
“Yah,” Jihoon hisses.
She’s at his side in an instant. Her hand reaches for his and he leads her to the backroom. One of his teachers from a Going Seventeen episode stands before them. Jihoon had recalled that the man dabbled in pottery and he was familiar to Jihoon. He still kept the man’s painting of him on display.
“Hi, ssaem.” Jihoon bows and the teacher bows in response. “This is my…”
She looks to him expectantly, letting him fill the blank.
“Girlfriend,” he says, turning back to the teacher. “She’s the one who’s excited about pottery.”
The man bows to her and she bows in response. “Come in. Take your coats off; it’s going to get really warm in here.”
Tumblr media
They get a private lesson. The two of them are sat at their own pottery wheels with the teacher correcting their form and giving them pointers. They each make three pieces. One vase, a bowl, and a figurine each. Hers are significantly better, but Jihoon chalks it up to her artistic hands. They laugh, joking with the teacher. She peppers him with questions between all the banter.
Their pieces will be put in the kiln once they dry a bit more and Jihoon will receive a text when they’re ready to be painted.
“That was the best date I’ve ever been on,” she says as they walk out of the store.
“Well that’s a bold statement.”
“I’ve been wanting to do that forever and it was so much fun to do it with you,” she sings.
Jihoon guides her into the bookstore next door without saying anything. Her eyes dart towards the books as they walk up and down the aisles. She picks books off the shelves and reads the synopses while they chat.
When Seungcheol calls because Eunha’s about to go to bed, she and Eunha talk about different books. By the time they all say goodbye, she has a stack of three children’s novels that they’re going to read together. She goes to the counter to pay and Jihoon beats her to the card reader.
“Jihoon,” she sighs, a smile on her face.
Jihoon shakes his head, tucking his wallet away. “This is still a date.” He’d kiss her if the employee wasn’t watching them. “I haven’t taken you home yet.”
She laughs and takes the brown bag offered to her. As they wander out of the shop, she thanks him.
He kisses the side of her head. “Now come on. You need to read me those books before you read them to my daughter.”
Her gaze lifts to meet his, an eyebrow raised in question.
“She talks about the characters from the stories you read and I can’t talk about them with her, because I’ve never read the books.” He leads her into the café. “So, what would you like, jagi?”
Both her eyebrows raise at the nickname, but she seems pleased. “Mint tea.”
“Go sit.” He nudges her towards the tables while he heads to the counter. “I’ll bring it to you.”
She yanks him back and whispers in his ear, “Best date ever.” Then she pecks him on the cheek before finding a table by the window.
She misses the deep blush that spreads across his face.

twitter*com/excpf/status/1297793168532881409?s=20 I doubt this is true but since I can't read in what is that screen I'm wondering if there actual rumors going around on weibo or something? Also the the yt video someone linked in the reply to that tweet again pretty sure it's fake but why is an yizhan yt channel doing news about it?? It's from today I believe, have you read anything about it? 👀
You’re really making me open twitter? LOL Sigh, okay. These are the same old news from last year. (People on Weibo: been there, done that, already debunked.) I think the reason it came up again this year is that there was so news that she was flying to the city that WYB is filming byh in. The only people that believe in this and are purposefully spreading it are antis that is usually this against WYB. If you understand this story more, you will know why it’s false. I’ll write it briefly. Most people on Weibo, including non-fans of wyb and xz also believe this entire rumor to be false.
1) The logic of the story makes no sense. Whether personality of the people involved or just the overall “plot” doesn’t add up. The original story is that qmh like cfy (guy), and asked oynn(girl) to help her get him. But cfy doesn’t like qmh. Wyb then chased after qmh, which angered cfy. What? Logic? What? LOL
2) There was a list of supposedly them being in the same city last year. The entire list has already been debunked. (That’s all I read on Weibo though. I haven’t seen a list of the debunked timeline but the fact that a “proven” one also hasn’t been posted is also telling.)
3) The mole thing LOL. If you watch the original video when wyb put on the dot, he paused and stared at the host’s face before putting on the dot, which mean he’s thinking about exactly where on the face to put it (He did this too when drawing wwx during the Bazar interview, where he looked at gg’s face to confirm the mole location.) Not only is qmh’s mole on the wrong place, it’s not even on the right side of the face. If anything, this proves to us that even antis think the dot represent a mole and it’s not a random dot. Also I looked up her photos/videos. Only in a couple photos can you see a faded mole. This means she usually covers it up with makeup or at least try to. If her “bf” is really obsessed with her mole like how much dd is obsessed with the heart ❤️ ., why would you cover up the mole?
4) I’m confused about the clothes in the twitter. Are those clothes suppose to even be similar? LOL Am I missing something?
5) The shoes in her Insta is just a similar kind that wyb also has. I guess if I go out now and buy a pair of Nike shoes, I can be dating wyb? Yay!
6) Not sure if this is true because I can’t go back in time and look but on Weibo, it’s said the Weibo post on 4/17 about 702->703 is photoshopped. His Weibo was actually at 700 at that time.
7) The insta about her having the hotel shoes as the hotel they were filming Untamed in just means she stayed there before. Rumor has it she’s basically a stalker fan and did try to go visit wyb there but was dismissed. If she really there the whole time, wouldn’t you think that all the fans taking videos of the bts would have caught it?
8) The video of supposedly him on the plane talking to her just looks fake. Who would scroll back on their chat history with someone else all the way back 1 year just for fun? (Also if you’re dating someone, your chat history should be super long, it wouldn’t be that easy to jump back to 1 year ago.) Who would conveniently open their photo album to scroll through their pictures one by one right after that?
9) No new development since last year. If they are really dating, there would definitely be more “evidence” since the news came out last year. If something is real, there will be a trail. The fact that there has been nothing and no pic of them together to even prove they know each other means that this is completely false. WYB has a lot of issues with stalker fans and paparazzi so they would definitely say something if they caught something.
10) This is just psychology based so you can ignore this point if you want but the way wyb acts right now completely contradicts someone who is dating an heiress/influencer type of person. First, he’s working a lot. Celebrities that date rich people tend to work less because those rich partners want them to spend more time with them. Second, just look at the way wyb dresses. Like no offense because dress as comfortably and happily as you like but it’s just not the style that an heiress would like. Third, wyb has become more “homey” (? can’t think of the right word) in the past year. He shops at grocery stores, washes dishes, clean tables, brags about being able to cook a pancake, etc. None of these fit dating an heiress.
As you can see, there is a lot of holes in the logic and it’s fueled mainly by antis with a lot of homophobia and hate. If anything, I should go buy a pair of Peaceminusone and I’ll now be married to both wyb and xz!

I hate how yt feminists can just remodel criticism against something innately bad and make it about 'girls'. I'm talking esp out Twilight and how all it's criticism attained was written off to 'hating girls' and not pro-pedophilia, Racism etc. I'm saying this about Li Ellis, she made a video about Titanic and I'm so tired. That film was like a half baked romance film about a rich girl using a poor guy for wish fulfillment, before the narrative kills him in the end. Why does it need feminism??
nonny, you are absolutely right. there’s a problem with mainstream feminism where the definition has changed to “things that women do” or “decisions that women make” when that is not what feminism was intended to describe or be. a woman making a decision does not make it an inherently feminist choice. that’s why we see “feminists” on twitter defending jada pinkett smith, or using #girlboss feminism to campaign for more female ceos, or even trying to reframe makeup as a “woke” thing to do. it’s incredibly frustrating to watch, but it’s unfortunately not uncommon.

Survey #426
“insatiable furnace, burning up our surplus  /  watching all essential life become another servant”
Are you a brunette? Yep. It is way past due time that I get it dyed... What is your favorite channel on TV? I don't really watch TV, but if I did, I'm pretty sure it'd probably be Discovery. Have you ever been to Chicago, IL? Yes!! It's my only experience with a truly BIG city, and though I'm not a city person, the experience was pretty magical. It was something I wasn't even remotely used to. Just so much life and business and energy to feel there. Who was your first friend? Brianna. She was the sister of my older sister's best friend. What is your favorite holiday? Christmas. :') Do you regret your last kiss? Nope. Have you ever taken a karate class? No. Who was the last person to tell you ‘I love you’? My mom. Have you ever been to the Statue of Liberty? No. Do you live on your own? Noooo. I don't think I ever could. I would have to stay VERY busy, or else the loneliness would kill me. Hell, even if I was very active in stuff, I still don't know if I could. With how bad my depression is capable of being, it doesn't sound smart at all for me to move out unless it was with somebody. Are your the oldest child? No, I'm the middle kid. How many X-rays have you had in the last 2 years? Two, maybe? One for my legs and the other for my teeth. Are you on good terms with your last ex? Yeah, we're best friends. Do you have scars you don’t like to talk about? Nah. Do you freak out if a bee/wasp flies near you? ... yes lol. What subjects in history interest you most? The Holocaust. It's just so... shocking and extreme that it's oddly fascinating, but of course horribly sad. Are you superstitious in any way? Nah. How do you get rid of anxiety? Do what? Are there any items of jewelry you never/rarely take off? Yeah, my two rings, my lip piercing, and tragus piercing. Has a song ever made you cry before? There are many. ^If so, what about it brought you to tears? Again, I said "many," so this would be a horribly long list. There are four though - "Eternally Yours" and "Another Life" by Motionless in White, "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin, and "The Mortician's Daughter" by Black Veil Brides - that I really, really try to avoid, because I WILL cry. They're all associated with Jason for one reason or another. "Stairway to Heaven," especially, is absolutely forbidden for me to listen to. Would you consider yourself open-minded? Very, honestly. Have you ever met someone online that you wanted to meet in real life? I've met Sara! :') There are a handful of others I'd love to meet, too. Tell me about the last thing that made you laugh until it hurt. Wow, I have no idea. I don't remember the last time I laughed THAT hard. When you graduate, what color will your gown be? Ugh, it was this insufferable red. We got to vote on it, and I really wanted navy instead, as it looks more formal and not as obnoxious to me, but red won. Do you own a gun? No. My household legally can't because of my suicidal history. What color of shirt are you wearing? It's a black tank top. Do you use any acne medication? Nah, I don't really get acne anymore. Are you emotional or very stoic? I'm emotional as shit. Have you ever watched an anime series, start to finish? A few. There's Fullmetal Alchemist (as well as the Brotherhood expansion), Deadman Wonderland, and Ginga Densetsu Weed. I've seen bits of others. Which baby animal is your favorite? MEERKATS!!!!!! :') Once they reach three/four weeks, they're fucking precious. I also really like kittens. Do you like jam on your toast and biscuits? Sometimes. Have you ever reread a book? It is very, VERY rare I do this. The only cases I remember are for Because of Winn-Dixie and Meerkat Manor: Flower of the Kalahari. Do you have any religious symbols in your home? I think Mom has some religious quotes on the walls? What religion do you identify with, if any? None. What is you favorite flavor of pudding and/or yogurt? I love chocolate pudding, but I'm not very big on yogurt because of the sourness. I can sometimes eat a cookies 'n cream one, but occasionally I'm like "ew." We’re going to the best amusement park ever, first ride you choose is? One of those water rides where you go down a big slope. Did you have intense night terrors as a child? No. Know anybody who works in a tattoo parlor? No. That'd be dope. Have you ever had a piercing get infected? Ugh, yes. Worst was the first time I got my tongue pierced. It was early into infection though, thank God; I ended up having to take it out and get it re-pierced later. Have you ever shoplifted? No. Do you hate when people say, "Everything’s going to be fine,“ when it’s not? Sometimes. It can feel kinda dismissive of your extreme situation, and sometimes, things simply won't be okay. Like, you can't tell that to someone on their death bed. Do you check your fire alarms when you’re supposed to? No, oops. Are you a shorts-wearing kind of person? Absolutely not. Nobody wants to see my legs, not even me. Is your grandparents’ house obsessively tidy? My grandma's sure as hell was. She was very old-fashioned and "proper" and took cleanliness and manners very seriously. Do you know how to jumpstart a car? Nope. Would you date someone 8 years older than you? Probably. What did you do today? I WENT TO THE GYM AND DID A FULL HOUR OF EXERCISE!!!!! :') For once I am SO fucking proud of myself. I left drenched in sweat, but I also left with a feeling of great accomplishment. I'm going to be going twice a week now with a personal trainer. (: Who was the last person you fell asleep with? Sara. Have you ever punched a hole in the wall? No. People doing that shit terrifies me. Have you ever felt replaced? Sure have. Have you ever kissed someone who was high? No. If you caught your significant other cheating on you what would you do? I don't have a partner, but hypothetically, leave their ass in a blink. I don't fuck with those kind of people. Do you know who Jeffree Star is? Well, yes. I watch him on YT sometimes and (astonishingly) love his music, and I find his work ethic extremely inspiring. That man knows how to hustle. What’s your favourite alcoholic beverage? Probably sangrias. When was the last time you saw a photo of your ex? "The" ex, it's been years. I've removed all pictures I have of him, irl and digitally, because it's triggering for me. How many push-ups can you do? Probably zero. Do you play any games on your phone? There's Pokemon GO, DragonVale, and Dragons of Atlantis that I play semi-regularly. Have you ever received a compliment from a stranger? Yes. Have you ever shaved your face? Just my upper lip to avoid the lady stache, ha ha. What colour is your front door? It’s white. Do you take the stairs or the elevator? If an elevator is available, I will ALWAYS use that. I have an extreeeemely hard time getting up stairs because of having just about no leg muscle. Do you get motion sickness? No. When was the last time you went to your favourite restaurant? Oh man, it's been forever. :/ Olive Garden sounds soooo good right now. Do either of your parents have any tattoos or piercings? No. Well, Mom has her earlobes pierced once, but that's it. Are you desperate for anyone’s approval, in particular? It's funny, even though he hasn't been a part of my life for years, I still desperately crave what I think would make Jason proud. There have been many times where my mind has wondered to what he would think of me now... and I know it's not good. Are there any activities you enjoy doing, but can only do for a short amount of time before you get bored or tired of them? Reading. When was the last time you felt hopeful, and why? Today, after finishing my workout at the gym. I think, finally, that I may be taking another stride forward in life. Do you find yourself asking for the same things for your birthdays and for holidays? Ha, yup: a new tattoo, 100%. What is something someone recommended to you that you disliked/hated? Girt's recommended some music to me before. He loves sharing songs he likes with me. Of course I didn't tell him it sucked, ha ha. What’s a fact about the last person you kissed? She is very passionate about animals, reptiles in particular, and is simply amazing with them. If you had a child, would you rather have a girl or a boy? A girl for sure. Has anybody ever accused you of doing drugs? No. Have you ever fallen asleep with the last person you kissed? Yeah. Honestly, do you think that you will wanna settle down in the same town you’re currently residing in? HELL no. I hate this place. Does anyone call you darling? If so who? Sara does sometimes. Are you close to any of your cousins? No. Are you a romantic person? I think I am. What’s the coolest thing you’ve seen out the window of an airplane? Mountains. Have you ever been in the mountains when the moon and stars were up? NO BUT FUCK I WANT THAT. Just lay in a grassy spot with some s'mores or something and just ~vibe~. Do people like your hair? I get complimented on it a bit. Have you ever held birdseed and a bird came and ate out of your hand? Yeah, at a bird sanctuary. Could you ever live in Alaska? Hell yeah, I'd enjoy that. On the main page on YouTube, what’re the three recommended videos? There's one by a WoW gold maker, a song by 3TEETH, and a video of bullsnakes hatching. Do you really care how many friends you or anyone else has on Myspace/Facebook? Couldn't care less. I only "friend" people I know and care about. Does your significant other have any piercings? I'm single. Do you ever get bored of yourself? Oh, all the time. I feel like I'm extremely dull and plain and, well, boring. How many band shirts do you own? Which? Oh goodness, I have no idea. I own a lot. Do you go to shows mostly for the music, the moshing, or the merchandise? I go for the music. It's nice to buy merch, but it's SO expensive that it's dumb. Moshing, I think is just stupid. Have you ever had anything pierced that you don’t have now? Many places, actually. So many holes closed because piercings had to be taken out when I was in the psych hospital. I was so annoyed. Who were you with the first time you watched the last movie you watched? I was alone. Do you have any twins/multiples in your family? Are they identical or fraternal? No. What is the highest number of jobs you’ve had at one time? One. Is your mom a good mom? She is the actual best. Last thing you threw in the garbage? The crust of some leftover pizza I had this morning. I generally eat the crust, but this time it was WAY too hard.

Fate The Winx Saga my opinions
Okay so I know 99% of my content is anime stuff but listen, listen I just had to talk about this, like ever since trailer came on yt. So yeah guys today we are gonna talk about Winx club, not this Winx, this...the Netflix adaption, Fate the winx saga. Winx club is literally my childhood, my favourite cartoon. And despite all the criticism that fate got I decided to give it a watch. But don't get me wrong, I agree with criticism, like I was so furious when I first watched the trailer, cuz first the whitewashing, then they kicked Techna out of the show, Flora was replaced by character named Terra, their fashion sucks which is an insult to the original show and don't even get me started on how dark and edgy this is, show is darker than a freaking black hole. There is too many unnecessary drama in my opinion which I will explain further in a minute, but yeah I won't go in details with the criticism cuz there is so many videos that already covered that topic. But from this you get the picture why this adaptation caused such a commotion and upset so many people. I was kinda conflicted about watching the fate but at the end I decided to go and see how is it. I mean it can't be that bad and it wouldn't be fair to judge it just from trailer. I do like the idea of adding new elements in the story and not making it to be the same as the original, I mean this is an adaptation, it doesn't have to be literally a live action copy of the show, where is the fun in that. So I like to think of this show as part of the winx franchise, but also as its own thing, like World of Winx was. I still think they should have left Techna and Flora on the show, but I do understand why they removed Techna as their focus is clearly on elemental magic and technology as magically element wouldn't feel right here. I would put a new character on her place that would have Techna characteristics and give her metal for her magical gift, so she would be called Methalica, I mean it's just my idea, but I think it would work since metal is an element and Techna had a basic self explained name so I think it fits perfectly. Next thing, for Flora, like I said I would include her on the show, but I would be okay with Terra as her cousin to appear on the show, I have nothing against Terra, in fact she is honestly my favourite character on the show, her behaviour is the most in winx style which is kinda sad considering she is the added character, but we will get to that part, first I want to say something positive about this show okay. So what I really like is how in fate there are male fairies and female specialists, I think that's cool, and also it's a great representation in media. Another thing that I'm okay with is like a mentioned before adding new elements to the story, the threat which are the burned ones, that's how they call the monsters in the show, I only watched first episode so I don't know much about them but anyways in this version the barrier around Alfea exists to protect everyone from burned ones. Special effects are very nice and locations look good too. I'm happy they stayed with same names for the kingdoms like Solaria and Eraklion, hope we get to see winx travel to some of the relams, if not this season then please in season 2 cuz that would be great. I like Aisha relationship with Bloom, and Bloom's character,  I do think it's a bit too much sometimes, the way she acts but in some moments it's fitting. Like it's completely normal to question everything, to be confused, scared and curious about magic, how it affects and changes her life over the night, and fire can be very dangerous so her behaviour is reasonable. Also I like how she didn't fell for Sky instantly, and it was nice to see conversation between her and Faragonda or however is she called here but you know what I mean, so I'll just call her Faragonda cuz I didn't remember the new name. I like they included that moment since interactions between Faragonda and Bloom were really important for the plot, especially in the first season of original show. I don't mind not having transformation sequence in the show that much, I think it would look kinda weird, they could have just switch to fairy form, but even if they won't have wings at all it's not such a big deal, at least to me. In that scene they also included another great detail, how Bloom made comment about magic dimension not looking magical enough which is the reference to the original show. Those were all the things I liked about the first episode but aghh I just can't ignore the bad stuff, and believe me there is a lot. So after giving it a watch, no I don't hate the show and I will probably finish watching other episodes, not sure will I make video for each tho, most likely not since I got a lot of videos I want to make, collabs as well but maybe I'll do one for after the first season. But anyways, this show has some good moments I'll give them credit for it, however I can't turn a blind eye on bad elements. I said before how fate was too dark, in my opinion there is a lot unnecessary drama, like I hate what they did with Stella, I get that she will probably be nicer later on, but still, why is she so mean here, it just doesn't feel right, and why add that love triangle crap, it's like they didn't know how to put friendship on test without it. The reason everyone liked original Winx is cuz it was standing out from other shows in a good way. Making Stella the mean girl is so not original and drama about Sky is just unnecessary element. More unnecessary drama is definitely with Bloom as well. I mean does every main character needs to have a terrible life, super dark and edgy? In the original show, Bloom had good relationship with her parents, she had a good life but she always knew she didn't belong there, how there was more to it but she just couldn't explain what. I think that part of story should have stayed like in the cartoon. All this drama just feels so unnecessary. What I also didn't like is Sky. His interactions with Bloom were pure cringe, the introduction scene felt scripted and unnatural. I don't know I just didn't like the way they presented his character. Every time he would appear on the screen I would get annoyed instantly. Riven was okay, nothing special but better than Sky. Speaking of specialists, what I also hated is how poorly their acting was in that scene with teacher talking about burned ones. My dude you didn't convince me. Listen, good actor is supposed to pull you into the story, make you believe his words, to be able to feel it but we just didn't get that in the scene, and I hate it cuz that scene could have been done so much better  it's supposed to be this important moment cuz they talk about how burned ones are dangerous, it shows how big of a threat they are in the story, but idk the way they acted in that scene just wasn't good enough, it wasn't convincing. First episode had a lot of bad acting moments where I would just feel like they weren't prepared for this. I really hope it gets better with time cuz acting is the key element, if it isn't convincing enough people won't believe it. Interactions are also really important and we barely got to see any between our main girls, yes there were moments between Aisha and Bloom, few moments with Musa and Terra but I just wish they did a proper introduction to all and idk one moment between all 5 of them, cuz that scene at the end felt weird, when they all got worried about Bloom, like Musa you don't know her  you didn't say a word to Bloom, why are you here now, you see what I mean, it feels out of place. Like it would be so much better if they first did a proper interaction between winx girls, it doesn't have to be a long scene, this is the first episode after all, but one moment where they meet each other, then the ending scene would make so much more sense, it would give them some reason at least to be worried about her. Next thing Aisha, ahhh I do like her interactions with Bloom, but what really annoyed me is how they introduced her in the show. Like we all know she is a water fairy, you don't need to mention it like every second. Aisha was like hey guys you know I swim twice a day  yes twice a day, I swim, do you know where I can find the pool, cuz I swim. Yeah just no, Netflix show don't tell, show us that she is a water fairy, this isn't the way. Same problem with Beatrix, like we get it you are supposed to be a bad girl but again, show don't tell. I swear moment between her and Riven was so cringy. And what makes no sense, how was Beatrix able to enter that room with burned one that got captured, don't they have some security, someone to guard it, they said burned ones were a serious threat so why leave it unguarded for every curios teen to just walk in. It literally makes no sense, but whatever I guess for the sake of the plot, even though that could have been done differently too but I'm not getting deep into it, overall episode was fine, like I said it had some good moments, I'm willing to give it a chance, but I also think it's important to address the criticism for the show, which is everything I just complained about, and if you don't agree with me and think I was too harsh on the criticism that's fine, it's your opinion, I just said mine. I do think that show has potential, it just depends what will they do with it.

Alright so forewarning this is LONG as FUCK specifically because i came up with this idea in early high school and was just today POSESSEd By the Spirit Of Musical Theatre to put it to paper— er Tumblr.
So without further ado:
DEAR EVAN HANSEN BUT EVAN ISNT A TERRIBLE PERSON AND CONNOR LIVES.
the beginning is the same, canon diverges just after waving through a window.
*this ended up getting written is script format? i also just sorta ignore alana’s whole exsistance bc in this version of the play she’s unnecessary*
In the moments before he talks to Connor evan decides to omit Zoe from his letter, having resolved himself to move on from her. (instead of being a hella creep.)
Connor: “dear Evan Hansen,” what are you writing letters to yourself? *he laughs*
Evan: its, uh, its for my therapist. its just a stupid little assignment that she says is supposed to help me process my feelings or— uh or something
Connor: hm. here. * hands Evan the letter*
Connor: your cast. no one’s signed it.
Evan: uh no. no one has.
Connor: gotta sharpie?
Evan: huh?
Connor: gotta sharpie? im gonna sign it.
Evan: *handing the sharpie to Connor* w- whuh uh why?
Connor: *shrugs* feels right.
Evan: i wish i could do that
Connor: what?
Evan: UH, IMEAN—
Connor: no wait- dude.
Evan: i mean uh, i meant that i wish i could just be, y’know impulsive like that.
Connor: Why Cant you be?
Evan: i uh, my heads pretty messed up, and stuff like that just, makes it worse i guess.
Connor: well theres some thing we have in common— were both fucked up in the head.
*the bell rings*
Evan: oh shoot! i missed the bus—
Connor: i’ll give you a ride.
Evan: are you sure i mean i can walk its not far-
Connor: all the more reason, i probably have to pass it on my way home anyway, cmon.
——
they meet Zoe in the parking lot
Zoe: I have Late practice today
Connor: whatever, gotta passenger.
Zoe: who the fuck would be crazy enough to trust your ability to drive?
Evan *being Brave*: Me Apparently?
Zoe: Uh, Evan Right?
Evan: yeah, uh, yeah.
Zoe *holding her hand out to be shaken*: i’m Zoe, we’ve met though right?
Evan wipes his hand on his shirt and shakes it: yeah, uh, nice to formally meet you, Zoe.
Zoe: i’m off, don’t kill him stoner.
Connor: i wont Princess
Evan breathing heavy: that was,, an eventful ten minutes.
Connor: oh fuck— you cool? or—
Evan: Panic Attack.
Connor: Right, uh
Connor: can you get in the car?
Evan: yeah
*car nonsense*
Connor: Can i start driving or do you want me to wait
Evan: Distractions are good,, Can Uh, Can you Talk about Stuff?
Connor: What stuff!??
Evan: any Stuff!
Connor: Is Zoe okay??
Evan: Sure?!
Connor: Uhh we don’t get along as well as we used to?
we were really close as kids, shes a huge asshole now but *fully venting now*
i kind of miss it you know? having someone to talk to and care about— and i still care about her— but its scary and i always fuck it up! not to mention the fact that our parents hate me— make her see me as some alien and not just a fucked up kid who wants to talk and — (more ranting that i dont feel like writing, but its a whole monologue bro)
Evan: Connor
Connor snaps his mouf shut: yeah
Evan: thanks
Connor: oh that, uh actually helped?
Evan: yeah focusing on your voice and whats real and stuff— it makes a difference.
Neither of them noticed that Connor was just sort of Driving. they end up at the park where in canon Connor commits Sewer-slide.
Evan: i didn’t know there was a park here.
Connor: huh, oh, yeah i guess i just sorta auto piloted, i come here to think.
Evan: About stuff?
Connor: Yeah, Stuff.
*the convo lulls*
Connor: do you have a laptop?
Evan: no, i uh, i left it at home? why?
Connor: give me a second
Connor walks to the car and grabs his back pack out of the back seat
Evan watches Quizzically from the swing-set
Connor pulls out a Sketch Pad and Pen, flipping to a clean page.
Connor: So tell me how to write one of those letters of yours.
Evan: uh, well you start like any other letter- just addressing it to yourself
Connor writing: Dear Connor Murphy,
Evan: and uh, my first one was supposed to be about my ideal summer vacation? since i started in middle school- but you don’t have to—
Connor: thats perfect.
Connor starts to sing for forever,
eventually Evan joins in there is a minor gay moment where they’re holding hands face to face.
the song ends with Connor hugging Evan.
Evan: its- its pretty late.
Connor obviously crying: just— just a couple more minutes.
Evan lets go and grabs Connors sketch book of the ground, closing it and handing it off to him: then how about this, labor day weekend- we actually go.
Connor: what are you talking about?
Evan: being spontaneous?
Connor: o-okay.
and it cuts to black.
theres a small montage here, as the set changes to Connor and Evans bedrooms
sincerely, me is a lament in this context, Connor and Evan are duetting from their respective rooms, writing to themselves.
(the lyrics are completely different and i will not be writing them here because thats too much fucking effort.
but they’re duetting from their bedrooms about making a connection to another person, feeling seen, for the first time. what it felt like and how they really want to keep it up but are afraid of making a mistake and ruining it.
its got some themes of waving thru a window, and a little bit of for forever, but its still largely the same notes just in a different key.)
after wards, Zoe knocks on Connors door to tell him dinner is ready to find him peacefully asleep.
requiem is the same, Zoe sees Connor as Dead to Her instead of actually dead, so some of the wording changes, so and so about how a monster doesn’t deserve peaceful rest etcetera.
school day happens, Connor doesn’t die, but the hot goss is that everyone saw Connor and Evan go home together after school, jared makes a shitty homophobic joke to Evan and Evan kind of tells him off about it. they argue and it culminates in Evan saying “well god forbid I’m friends with someone who isn’t YOU!” or smth like tht and it hits jared right the fuck at home man.
Connor says from the side lines: damn that was pretty hard core dude.
Evan: you have, no idea how long i’ve wanted to do that.
Connor honest to god l a u g h s, theres a number of people who hear it and lose their shit, Zoe being one of them: i have a pretty good idea, wanna get some lunch?
Evan: yeah, sure.
this general routine continues until labor day weekend, when they plan to go on their little escape. theres a short scene of Connor leaving the house with his keys and a backpack.
Connors mom confronts Zoe about his oddly upbeat attitude and hows he’s seemed differently lately Zoe Shrugs but decides to investigate his room.
she finds the letters. the first one is for forever, the theme plays as she reads it frantically, and is signed “Sincerely me (connor murphy)” so she knows its him, i f i could tell her begins but its a real duet between Connor and Zoe and at the end she resolves to try harder to connect to him.
Evan sings disappear to Connor after breaking into a formerly public park, in this context its him confessing that he broke his arm attempting su!c!de. Connor records it, for personal reference.
jared hacks Connors phone and steals the video, posting it to yt, in an effort to ruin their friendship.
Evan and Connor get in a little fight about it, and in the meantime Evan is called to the school to give an assembly because hes a phenomenal speaker and Disappear got like 1000000 views over night.
Zoe and Connor bond a little bit in a short scene before the assembly
Zoe: wheres Evan what happened?
Connor: Kleinman Did!
Zoe: what?
Connor: Why Do you care?
Zoe: because! you look happy around him!
Connor: i, i do?
Zoe: yeah? he could tell the worst joke ever written and you’d crack up. i haven’t heard you laugh like that in years Connor, maybe ever.
Connor: oh.
Zoe: Come back inside?
Connor: y, Yeah.
they all perform You Will Be Found together.
end act 1.
(no more dialogue from here i got tired)
to break in a glove is Connor’s dad trying to reconnect with him, it goes mediocrely, but Connor feels like hes being seen by his dad for the first time in years. its said in metaphors, but this is Connors dads way of saying that if Connor is willing to put in the work, so is he. they hug at the end, things are looking up. some talk of therapy is sprinkiled in the dialogue as they walk of stage together.
Only Us is Evan and Connor saying that they saved each other. its loosely romantic, as its a love song, but they don’t out right say that they’re in love or anything, they don’t know if theyre ready for that. its a promise. the song ends with Connor finally apologizing for pushing Evan over at the beginning of the show.
good for you is sung by jared only, as a power ballad, about losing people you didn’t treasure. its his attempt at an apology, but it ultimately fails, since jared is unable to take responsibility for his own actions. this is where jared and Evan go their separate ways.
Evan’s mom comforts him, as he sings words fail, which is about specifically jared, and how their rocky friendship is ruined and Evan pegs himself as the cause, instead of parents or perfect girl he uses metaphors that apply to best friends— maybe more. and talks about how he didn’t try, he was happy so he ignored that jared was hurting, and how that was really shitty of him. but instead of it being a generally somber song the end is lighter, because Connor is there— waving through his front window.
Evans mom sings So Big/So Small as Evan steps out the front door to embrace Connor and they mime talking about jared, hug and take hands. the house moves off stage in preparation for the finale.
Connor and Evan open the finale saying each others names, and sing it together as the test of the cast (minus jared) joins in, Evans mom taking his hand and Zoe Taking Connors, Evans mom the Murphys and Zoe break off to the back where Evan and Connor finish the final “all i see is sky for forever” while looking into each others eyes, and finish the musical by embracing (maybe kissing if thats ur jam).

THE DIZI TAG GAME
Rules: Answer the questions and then tag people you want to participate! (Also tag it #The Dizi Tag Game so we can see everyone’s lists)
Tagged by: @missloislane and @aslibekroglu thank you SO SO SO much! I was planning on doing it anyway even if I was never tagged because this seemed so fun so thank you for not letting me jumping off of someone else’s post
1. your first dizi & how you discovered Turkish dramas :
So, this is a long story so TL;DR: Kiralik Ask and facebook groups.
Now, for the long story. It might have been 10 years ago now? probably less? I don’t know, since the end of highschool I have lost consciousness of time and what a year is and when it ends. Anyway, Kiralik Ask was all the rage in Italy and in the facebook groups I was in, people were talking about this and Cherry Season a lot (I’m pretty sure this wasn’t 10 years ago but I’m dramatic) and I became obsessed with all the videos and things and everything (of KA, I didn’t care for Cherry Season) BUT I did not watch it then. Years later, like maybe three years ago? maybe 2? No idea. I discovered Vatanim Sensin thanks to @rescuemeifyoucan and her posts about it and became obsessed with that as well so, like a normal person, I searched for Hileon videos on YouTube and found every single scene they were in (only Hileon scenes) and watched a lot of those videos, probably 3/4 of the first season, stayed up all night (fun fact, I went to sleep at like 8 in the morning and when I woke up a couple hours later I got called and did my stage/started working at the place I’m at) and that was my initiation to Turkish shows but since I did not actually watch it, only precise scenes, that is not technically my first dizi. About 2 weeks of VS and only VS I decided that it was time to watch KA (because I found a playlist of YT of every episode from the beginning with Italian subtitles and others in English subtitles if the Italian ones were missing) so technically this is my first actual turkish dizi watched, since it is the first dizi that I have seen complete episodes of, from the first episode.
2. show(s) you’re currently watching:
Technically none but also technically thousands. So, technically (expect this word to be the most used in this post) I am currently watching Menajerimi  Ara (haven’t watched since more than two months ago probably), Alev Alev (last watched I think last month) 50m2 (again, last watched last month), Kiralik Ask (it’s been a few years actually BUT I haven’t given up on it yet and I will continue it... someday), Her Yerde Sen (last watched probably last year? Maybe start of the pandemic, maybe before that), Kuzey Yildiz (last watched I think the end of last year), Halka (I have no idea when I stopped with this honestly), Kara Para Ask (last year? maybe? Before Her Yerde Sen I think), Benim Tatli Yalanim (around the time of HYS), Kimse Bilmez (again, around HYS time). I haven’t seen any of these for some time but they are all shows that I plan to continue sooner or later. It’s all shows I loved but put aside because I found a new obsession but I do get back to them sometimes.
3. your favorite genre of dizi (romcom, mafia show, contemporary drama, historical/fantasy, etc.):
Romcom. I do like some dramas but I tend to hate almost all of the characters except a selected few and I can’t handle all that hate, my liver cannot survive it.
4. the show you rewatch (parts of) the most:
I think KA? or MA? or HYS? They are my favorite shows of the ones I have started. Also Ask 101 (the only Turkish show I have actually completed and only because it’s not 10 thousand episodes long and it’s easily available on Netflix so it’s easy to rewatch again)
5. favorite Turkish actor and actress (feel free to pick multiples):
I have this problem, it’s names, I rarely know the names of actors, if I know them I forget them, I sometimes mistake the character’s name with the actor’s name, sometimes the opposite so let’s try this and see what mess comes out:
Aybuke Pusat, the guy who played Demir on HYS, the two friends of Selin from HYS and the receptionist. Elcin (?) and Baris (?) from KA, Burcu (?), Alina, Kubilay, and the other kids from Ask 101, Dicle and Baris and Julide from MA, Hilal and Leon from VS, Cicek di Alev Alev, Cagatay Ulusoy (I remember his name! my beloved CaCa), The female protagonist of KPA (she was also in the first episode of MA which is the reason why I started that show), Hande Ercel, Kerem Bursin, Elcin (?), Melisa, the one who played the third main friend, the red headed girl, all from SCK, Ismail (?) and the actress of Yildiz from Kuzey Yildiz, also the three girls from there. Most of the cast of Hercai, although I hate more than half of the characters.
I feel so bad that I don’t remember their name. I swear I love them!
6. a show you quit before finishing:
A few. First and foremost Sefirin Kizi (couldn’t get past episode 1). Erkenci Kus (hated the direction it was going, which was in circles), Ask Laftan Anlamaz (hated hated hated the lie that guy protagonist said. Wanted to watch after but I can’t do that to myself). Sad to say but also Sen Cal Kapimi. I loved it SO MUCH and then first he does that stupid break up thing that I hate (because it similarly happened in ALS and that is the whole reason why I never finished that show so already not a good start), then it seems to be picking up and we got the amnesia thing so yeah, nope, not doing it. Afili Ask (I liked it but not enough to continue and I have to give up on a few shows). Also probably Hercai since I enjoy how it ended in season one and never felt the urge to continue.
Technically most of the answers from the 2 question apply here as well but I do intend on continuing those, these ones, however, I will not continue.
7. favorite song(s) you’ve discovered in dizi’s:
Birakman Dogru Mu 2 by Zeynep Bastik and Anil Piyanci, heard on Menajerimi Ara and the song that started my love for pop songs made in Turkey
8. the show whose plot disappointed you the most:
Sen Cal Kapimi and Ask Laftan Anlamaz are the ones that first come to mind. And Erkenci Kus. God, Erkenci Kus disappointed me SO MUCH.
9. a show that was cancelled too soon / ran too long:
Ran too long: definitely EK. And SCK (sorry not sorry, it should have ended right before the amnesia).
Cancelled too soon: I don’t usually watch shows that get cancelled soon (in the sense that I usually wait a bit before watching a show because I wouldn’t want for it to be cancelled while I am passionate about it) and technically I do not yet know if they were cancelled too soon, but I would say HYS and Benim Tatli Yalanim because I was loving them and I have less than 10-15 episodes left to watch
10. favorite character(s):
The children in every drama are my favorite so Gul (Hercai), the children in Alev Alev, the child in Sefirin Kizi (the only character to save themselves in that show except for Gediz), the girl from BTY, Bulut (?) from Dolunay. Also CeyCey (EK), Baris and Dicle from MA, basically the entire cast of SCK (I might hate the direction where this is going but I do love the characters), the main characters from ALA (except for the main male protagonist, he can choke), the main characters from Atesbocegi, Suna from BTY, Reyyan (Hercai), a lot of others, I just don’t remember the names.
11. your favorite romantic pairing(s):
ReyMir (Hercai), LeyEm (Erkenci Kuş), Edser (Sen Çal Kapımı), Defom (Kiralık Aşk), SelDem (HYS), Suna x Nejat (BTY), DicBar (MA), Bahar x Kaan (Halka), Ibo x Ayda (?) (HYS), YilKuz (Kuzey Yildiz), probably others.
12. favorite side character(s):
Cey Cey (Erkenci Kuş), Julide (MA) (I know people hate her but to the moment I’m at, I still love her), Ayda (?) (HYS), Burcu (BTY), again, others but I don’t remember the names.
13. best kiss:
I love the fire side (?)  kiss between Selin and Demir from HYS as well as their kiss when she thinks that he stood her up when in fact he didn’t even know that he was supposed to go on a date with her and so she gets pissed off (rightfully so) and he chases after her and OMG I love them! Also the first and second kiss between Nejat and Suna. These last three I have made gifs of, and they were my first gifs, unedited, kinda ugly, but I love them (not saying that I make good gifs now because I do not, they are still ugly and unedited but not my firsts anymore).
14. an underrated show more people should watch:
Her Yerde Sen. And Benim Tatli Yalanim. And Menajerimi Ara (although more people were getting into it). And Alev Alev.
15. a show everyone loves that you aren’t interested in:
The one with Demet Ozdemir (BOK I believe is the tag). Never was interested in it but based on gifs alone, I think they had the character who is either played by an actor whose name is Ismail or the character is called Ismail make a 180 from season 1 to season 2 and I hate it when they do this kind of things in books and series (I might be wrong though) so now I have even less interest in it. Also Son Yaz. The gifs, I love them, but I don’t want to actively watch the show. I’ll enjoy it from gifs and posts about it.
16. a show you want to recommend right now:
Menajerimi Ara, Kara Para Ask, Her Yerde Sen, Alev Alev, Benim Tatly Yalanim.
17. the next show on your list:
none, to be honest. I mean, I already have a LOOOONG list of shows to finish so it’s better that way.

I'm so happy you love kim, i've been following her for a while now and i just have so much respect for the woman for her open mindedness and introspection. She's not afraid to call things out, but she's also mindful of the circumstances around her doing so. Shes so well spoken. I've also been following dangelo for a while and while i greatly admire his research and enjoy his videos, he also has some takes that I just do not agree on, and I felt his Cuties vid was a like a new low for his content
also this like a part two but YEAH why are we listening to men about this topic when the issue is so throughly ingrained in the female issue & introspection. This movie is about child sexuality, but it's told from a female lense, and has more to do with our relationships and understanding of ourselves in our place as women, especially woc. and everybody i see that is white or male that is trashing this movie, i just gotta ask why are you going to such lengths deny validity to our experiences
yes!!!!!!!!! i love kim!!!!!!!! i feel like she could have a take that i 100% don’t agree with but i would still learn something nd agree with her pov. i just love the way she formulates her arguments. nd i watch dangelo’s video on cuties nd it felt very sensationalist. like i don’t think cuties is above critique nd if i were the director there are some scenes i would have left out bc it WAS a lot but everything in that movie was something most if not all woc have seen/dealt with. even down to the girls feeling pressured to be ‘fast’ nd dress way too old to fit in like i remember clearly struggling bc i hated dressing like an old woman when i was 12 but i also hated that my boobs came in early nd i didn't want to accentuate them bc even at 12 i ALREADY had trauma from being sexualized as a child. nd when i scroll thru yt allllllllllllll i see is men/ white ppl trashing this movie nd while they might have a valid criticism or two its moot bc they arent relating to the pov of the movie. nd i literally clicked out of dangelos video halfway thru bc it was really shitting on the writer nd totally ignoring the fact that everything shown in cuties is shit that happens everyday nd that women nd children are objectified nd traumatized by their movie roles all the fucking time but bc the directors are white NO ONE CARES. do u know how many videos there are of young girls dancing dances too old for them? nd ppl just laugh nd laugh nd laugh. its hard to put into words but i feel like ppl are hopping on this hate train without acknowledging the fact that nothing in that movie (even the girl getting her pants pulled down. like.........they used to do that at my elementary school) is not based in reality nd everyone wants to be mad at this movie but no one wants to talk abt how girls are literally brainwashed into hypersexualizing themselves on a daily basis. nd the same ppl signing petitions are the same ppl not giving a fuck abt irl girls of color when they get sexualized. anyways i dont want to hear any onions from non woc
