So this is the answer to an ask that @wild-wombytch has sent me, and I chose to answer it in this format because the original ask contains a link to a post that I'd rather not share, to maintain respectful of OP.
Tumblr media
Thank you, I'm fine! and cool that you like the cat pictures ❤️ I'll make a separate post for you just containing cat pictures
Tumblr media
and thank you so much for saying that! ❤️❤️
yeah, so @wild-wombytch refers to a post that deals with a person who got a tumor from HRT. They have made a post in a mainstream trans subreddit and the people on there got mad at them, because they didn't want to recognise the downsides of HRT:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So this is just a whole other level. People hating on OP because they got a brain tumor is so despicable. These people can rot in hell
(Also, if you want to use my post to make fun of OP for having a brain tumor, enjoy getting blocked 🥰 I try to make this a welcoming place for people who are transitioning, detransitioning or having problems with their medical transition. If you can't handle that, please fuck off)
The specific kind of tumor this person is talking about, a pituitary brain tumor, is (as stated) probably linked to HRT in trans women. This reminds me of the myriad of posts by trans women talking about galactorrhea. Galactorrhea refers to the spontaneous lactation without having given birth or breastfeeding a baby, which can occur in women and men. And what is the most common cause for Galactorrhea?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the most common cause of galactorrhea is a benign tumor in your brain. Even though benign tumors are not as dangerous as cancerous tumors, they can still cause severe dysfunction over time, because they can still grow slowly and compress vital areas of the brain. It's definetly not a topic to be joked about.
I was able to find a ton of "I am spontaneously lactating as a trans woman, is this normal"-posts in the span of seconds. Remember: Galactorrhea, a condition that is most commonly caused by a brain tumor. And what are the responses?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
keep in mind: this person probably had not only been lactating, but even had blood in their nipple discarge. Up to a fifth of women who have that sign of discharge have a malignant cause for it - I can't imagine that the prospect for biological males on HRT is much better.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so yeah, instead of telling them to go see their doctor or anything, they link them to r/AdultBreastfeeding - it's a fetish subreddit for people who have a lactation fetish and want to induce lactation.
I mean, a large amount of the stuff I post here is kinda funny and absurd, but if you get a bit deeper in these online echochambers, it gets really dark real quick. Where did we go from "everyone should live their lives as they wish" to "downplaying brain cancer to own the terfs"? And this doesn't mean that every trans woman should immediately stop their HRT just to prevent that from happening. That's not what I'm saying here. I'm just saying that these people genuinely don't seem to care about anything other than their ideology, and even medical professionals are seen as "lying" and "bigoted", and people with brain tumors are accused of "attacking the trans community". How is this not a cult??
Also, I wish the person who made the original post all the best :) I hope they find people who support them and help them heal

Brain Tumor - I need help
Tumblr media
UPDATE (3/November/2023):
I haven't fully paid all my debts so I still have active my gofundme page in case anybody wants to help, I would really appreciate it.
Currently still doing more tests in order to see if there is any tumor residue, in case I need another treatment. Thank you for your support.
UPDATE (10/September/2023):
I got surgery!! Currently in recovery. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! T__T
----------------------------
Hello! I know I don’t have many followers and I’m just another random tumblr user but if you guys could help me share this I would be forever grateful. English is not my first laungage so excuse me if I make any mistake.
On Monday, May 1, around 2 p.m. in the afternoon, I had an epileptic fit. They took me to the ER because the seizures wouldn't stop, then they transferred me to a second hospital where they did a CT scan, but nothing abnormal came out, so they transferred me back to the first hospital. I kept convulsing and I got to the point of being intubated, since I was having breathing difficulties. Until the next day, around 4 a.m., I was able to wake up and was discharged in the afternoon since I looked more stable.
After going to the neurologist and doing several more in-depth studies, they concluded that the epileptic seizures were due to the fact that I have a brain tumor in the upper frontal part. I still have time to extract it, however, the surgery is very expensive for me, approximately $11,760 dollars. That's why I need any help I can get.
I appreciate any contribution even if it is only sharing my cause or having read this far. Thank you so much. ❤️

Tumors that affect the central nervous system are among the most fatal kinds of cancer, especially in pediatric cases. Surgical removal of the tumor is usually the prescribed course of action, made harder by the fact that the surgeons performing the procedure will not be able to determine the kind of tumor they’re dealing with beforehand, limiting their ability to come up with a plan in advance. A new tool utilizing neural networks seeks to improve the landscape of cancer diagnostics by providing a rapid and accurate mechanism to classify CNS tumors in an intraoperative setting.
Primary treatments for tumors of the nervous system usually involve the excision of the tumor through surgery, this is a difficult procedure to perform, requiring surgeons to make decisions regarding how much of it can be excised without posing a threat to the neural system and increasing the chances of comorbidity.
The determination of the kind of tumor is crucial to be able to identify the necessity and amount of resection that can be feasibly carried out. Certain tumors are presently viewed as being incurable, hence, the surgeon’s aim while operating on a patient must be to acquire tissue samples for proper diagnosis while preserving the patient’s quality of life as much as possible. However, it may be beneficial to attempt a complete resection as possible for other kinds of tumors, as it improves survival.

So my friend Nova (Jenny) found out she has a tumour in her brain. She's going in for surgery at 6:30 (I assume EST) to have a shunt put in while awaiting biopsy results.
I wrote a thing for Facebook when I shared the gofundme her friend set up, but I realized I could try sharing it here too and see if anyone on here was interested in helping.
anyway here's what i wrote on facebook
Jenny's been my friend for like seven years at this point, and that makes me qualified to assert that she's the sweetest person on this fucking planet, and probably the least worthy of something like this. She's under the care of some of the top doctors in the country, and the country is the US so you know how healthcare can be.
Donate if you can, and if you know any spells/illuminati that owe you a favour/have some sort of an in with your local deity, please give that a shot and see if we can make this tumour benign.
I got that fortune the other day that said my luck would change, and since then my luck's been 10x worse, so I hope it's because the good luck got reallocated to her.
If you can donate or send whatever energy/agents of chaos/well wishes her way, a whole lot of people whose lives she consistently makes better would appreciate it.
Here's a link to her public post linking this gofundme (to show it's got her sanction)
Here's the original public post about the tumour (she had other posts about her migraines since the 2nd, but obviously none of us saw this coming)

My Ct Scan Results everyone.
Tumblr media
I have 3 lesions in my head. Two in my brain and one in my skull. My doctors knew about the second lesion on my brain since February, it is now December and I had not been informed of that second lesion until today when my results of my ct scan came in. They said NOTHING to me after that other MRI. I had to fight to even find out if my first tumor had grown or not. The dermoid tumor is the one I originally knew about. For 11 months they did not tell me my right temporal lobe had a lesion. ELEVEN MONTHS my doctors went without informing me I had brain damage. This cannot be legal and I will be looking into suing both doctors involved in these tests. I informed them I did not have access to my online charts to check my health status. They knew they were supposed to verbally tell me any results until I could get access again and they didn't. They never called, never emailed, never even told me at any of my future appointments!!

An update on me and my social accounts
Hello everyone, after a bit of thinking I’ve decided to come open on myself. And give you all a proper explanation as to why I’ve been so off and on for a really long time.
2 years back I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, more correctly a pituitary tumor that sits in the middle of my brain. And once I found that out I like went into college. So I juggled with college and trying to maintain my tumor.
Well it was dormant for about 2 years and it decided to over produce hormones in my body, giving me all sorts of really weird symptoms and just not feeling good on some days.
This is one big reason as to why I’ve been so everywhere lately and I felt like everyone here needed an explanation as to why. This is not a pity message 😔 I don’t want it to be taken that way. I just wanted to update everyone, and I felt like it was only fair because a good chunk of this sever knows and some of y’all don’t. I wanted to make that even.

What do family docs do when we don’t know what to do?
Resident Amsterdam, checking out a patient: so I have this lady who recently had some really wonky eye symptoms like intermittent vision loss and ophtho told me to get an MRI and turns out she has a mass pressing on her optic nerve. Neurosurgery says they can’t operate on it here so they’re coordinating with Tertiary Center to manage it.
Wayfaring: wow, so what are you doing for her today?
Amsterdam: I’m just checking her lipids.
Tumblr media
Wayfaring: solid. Go family medicine.
Tumblr media
Amsterdam: hey, I found the tumor. I’m letting the guys with a higher pay grade manage it.

“A rogue protein that fuels the deadliest brain cancers has been identified by scientists in a breakthrough that opens the door to bettering what is normally a 10% survival rate.
The scientists used gene editing to deactivate the protein, which stopped the tumor growth in its tracks—a hugely encouraging sign.
Glioblastomas have one of the lowest survival rates of any cancers, with fewer than 10% of patients living past 3 years.
“The aggressiveness of glioblastoma is notorious,” said the new paper’s lead author Professor Alea Mills. “The norm is to do surgery, treat with harsh drugs and just hope for the best.”
Mills and her team identified an Achilles heel of glioblastomas, which not only could lead to better treatments, but also explain in part why they and other cancers are so aggressive.
Bromodomain-containing protein 8, or BRD8, was found to suppress the activity of one of the most important cancer-preventing parts of a cell, the P53 gene. P53 codes for proteins which stop cells dividing when they should otherwise die, and almost all cancers depend on disruptions in P53 activity or production.
In experiments the researchers deactivated BRD8 using a pioneering gene editing technique. Without overactive BRD8, the P53 proteins coded normally again, and the tumours, transplanted into mice from human patients, were stopped in their tracks.
When BRD8 was deactivated, P53 was unlocked—the tumors stopped growing and the rodents lived longer.
The findings in Nature suggest drugs targeting the heart of BRD8 could work against glioblastoma.
Professor Mills hopes it will help turn deadly brain cancer into a treatable disease, dramatically extending life expectancy of patients.” -via Good News Network, 12/23/22
