so. i've had an idea for a warrior cats fanfiction story, and have spent the last few years hammering out characters, the clans, how they work, the story... a whole lot of stuff. i've tried writing it before, and right now i don't have a current draft of early chapters, but I did recently write out a scene from much later in the story, and i'm pretty happy with it, soooo... here! a warrior cats fic scene i wrote in like an hour a week ago

By the time she led ShadeClan to the Gathering site, Emberstar felt her anxieties lessen. Her foreleg ached from the effort of the journey, but she kept her head high. Beside her, Acornfall glanced back at their clan, then nodded over to Emberstar. He led the clan down into the Gathering hollow, and Emberstar padded over to the slope up to the leader’s perch. PineClan and CliffClan cats were already quietly milling about in the hollow, and up on the overhang she could see Lakestar and Wolfstar waiting. There was no MoorClan scent among the gathered cats.

Emberstar made her way up the slope she’d seen Gorsestar and Froststar before her traverse. It was a thin path, slowly becoming steeper and steeper as she slunk closer to the overhang, finally reaching the steep, gravelly slope that led up to the leaders’ perch. Down at the base of the cliff, she could see Acornfall joining the other deputies with a polite nod of his head, and Troutfoot was carefully weaving her way through the crowd to meet with the other healers. Emberstar twitched her whiskers when Lakestar and Wolfstar noticed her. She crouched and tensed her back legs and leapt up the slope.

It wasn’t enough to reach the top, but she reached out with her forepaw and sunk her claws into the loose gravel and dug her back paws into the ground to keep from slithering back down. She slowly inched forward, moving a kittenstep at a time, but she kept her eyes fixed on the other leaders, more determined than ashamed of herself. Emberstar forced herself up the slope, but her heart skipped a beat when the gravel under her paw proved too loose to get a good enough grip- so close to the top, too. What a shame she had no other forepaw to lash out and find a grip with.

Emberstar felt herself begin to slide back down the slope, but a pair of jaws grasped her by the scruff and hoisted her up onto the overhang. She clawed at the grass and stumbled a step when let go and turned to meet Wolfstar’s amused gaze. “Careful there, three-paw,” the CliffClan leader gruffly purred. “It’s bad luck to fall at your first Gathering as leader.” She brushed past Emberstar to sit back down next to Lakestar.

With a huff, Emberstar followed her with a shake of her pelt. “I appreciate your help, but I would have been fine on my own. I suppose I owe you now?”

Wolfstar’s whiskers twitched. “Are you saying ShadeClan is now in CliffClan’s debt?”

The young leaders stared at each other, then broke out into amused purrs. Lakestar rolled her eyes and wrapped her tail around her paws. “So, you are ShadeClan’s leader now, Emberstar? Or is it still Emberblaze?”

“It is Emberstar now. I visited the Moon Cavern for my lives only a few sunrises ago.”

“May StarClan light your path as leader, then.” Lakestar stiffly dipped her head. Despite the brusque words, there was genuine respect in her pale eyes.

Wolfstar’s own eyes were still bright with humor. “You’ll be great, I know it. What happened to Froststar, then?”

Emberstar narrowed her eyes and turned her gaze to the gathered cats. “I’ll explain that once the Gathering begins. MoorClan is late tonight.” She surveyed the crowd of cats, peering straight down at the huddled healers. Sitting with her back to her PineClan clanmates, Flarelight was sitting close to Troutfrost. After a moment, she gazed up at the overhang, and her eyes met Emberstar’s. Her eyes grew wide and she stared at her littermate for a long moment until another healer got her attention. Then, as if she’d seen nothing, Flarelight flicked her tail and joined the conversation. Her twitching tail-tip was the only hint that she was distracted. Emberstar blinked. She’d become leader so recently that not even the other healers knew, much less the other clans’ warriors. In the crowd of CliffClan cats, she spotted Sunscorch, sitting with his fur brushing Moonwhisper’s, his eyes wide and his body stiff while he stared at his sister up on the overhang.

Poor Sunscorch, so softhearted under those honed claws and strong limbs- he was likely to take the news of Froststar’s death the hardest. Emberstar held his gaze, blinked slowly, and turned her head to the sky. The moon was nearly overhead, and still MoorClan was absent.

“You ought to start the Gathering now,” Wolfstar growled to Lakestar. “It’s newleaf, after all, and if MoorClan’s late then they’re late.”

“We should wait,” Emberstar sharply mewed. “This is my first Gathering as leader, so it would be disrespectful to me as well as MoorClan if we begin without them. It may anger StarClan as well,” she finished in a murmur, flicking her tail-tip up at the sky. Wolfstar just bushed out her stormy gray fur and huffed.

Lakestar gazed up at the sky. Emberstar looked over at her. For so long, as an apprentice, as a warrior, as the deputy, she’d never dared to be so close to the cold PineClan leader. But now, she was barely a tail-length from the sleek silver tabby, and they sat as equals in standing. Lakestar was likely at less than nine lives and Emberstar was without a right foreleg, but they were equals nonetheless.

She was knocked from her thoughts by Wolfstar headbutting her. The larger cat nearly shoved her off-balance. “Glad to see that we’re both finally up here. I was waiting to see when you’d catch up, three-paw.”

Emberstar licked Wolfstar’s ear. “You know I must take things slower than you.”

“Who’d you pick as deputy?” Wolfstar leaned over the edge to inspect the group of deputies. “Hm- Acornfall?”

“He’s a good warrior. Older than me by four seasons, so I trust his advice and his skill.”

“I thought you would have picked Lavenderflash. Or maybe Darknose, you two always seemed close.”

Emberstar gazed down at Lavenderflash, spotting the pure-black molly quickly- she was almost certain there was obvious fondness in her eyes as she looked at her former apprentice. “Lavenderflash is… young and still training her first apprentice. She is a good, loyal warrior, but not fit to be deputy or eventual leader in my mind. And Darknose…” The tom was sitting at the edge of the crowd, alone. “He is a possibility, but he still mourns his brother even all these moons later, so I don’t know if he would be the best choice.”

Wolfstar made a sniff of approval, then her gaze snapped to the far hill. A yowl rang out, and the three leaders pricked their ears and the cats in the hollow turned to see MoorClan finally arrive, led by Applestar. Emberstar sat stiffly until she spotted Glowflame in the crowd, side-by-side with Orangeclaw. He joined the cats in the hollow with his clan while Applestar broke off to climb up to the overhang, and he seemed to murmur something to Orangeclaw before she angled her ears up at Emberstar. Glowflame looked up and spotted her, and his jaw dropped open. Emberstar couldn’t help but let out a purr of affection for her brother as he gaped in amazement at her.

Applestar greeted the other leaders when he finally joined them, nodding briefly at Emberstar, and hurriedly sat down next to Lakestar, his mottled fur standing up along his spine. The leaders gave the cats in the hollow a few moments to settle down. In that time, Emberstar saw her littermates make their ways through the crowd towards each other. By the time Lakestar threw back her head and yowled to signify the beginning of the Gathering, Flarelight, Sunscorch, and Glowflame sat huddled together with their eyes trained on their sister. Emberstar met their gazes for just a heartbeat and felt the final icicles of her anxiety melt away.

She then turned her head to watch Lakestar as she began to announce her clan’s news for the moon, and reminded herself of what she had to announce when it was her turn. She was ShadeClan’s leader, now. StarClan had approved of her. Emberstar lifted her chin and, with a deep breath, finally settled into her place at the head of her clan.

Ace-Aro DJ

I was starting to skim Island for headcanon proof and I didn't even have to go far for it!

"Not So Happy Campers Part 1" has this:

Duncan's remark of "She's all yours, man." Makes DJ give this face.

Yeah, the point of this scene could be 'blah, blah. Eva is undesirable' but we were just shown that Cody was trying to flirt with her too, and Duncan himself was turned off by her attitude/strength.

Then, Justin is announced! Everyone's surprised or delighted to see him. Everyone except...

Even Duncan whom I headcanon as closeted bi is surprised.

DJ is the only one who makes two faces in this scene-- confused and then frowning. (Coincidentially, I'm also an aromantic Justin truther, but he's not who this post is about.)

Now this scene!

In "X-treme Torture", the way Bridgette disproves DJ is the one who wrote that mystery haiku is... him deflecting.

...now that I'm typing this out, it feels like I can't word this well, but I hope you guys feel the same aro vibes I do in that particular interaction.

(We also need more smug DJ and DJ with bite moments tbh!)

No pictures for these next two examples of proof, since they're dialogue-based.

In "Up The Creek" DJ offers romantic advice to Geoff by comparing it to something he knows, that is, luring in a rabbit to feed.

In World Tour's Japan episode, he compares Alejandro's smooth moves being irresistible to his mom's gravy.

I think DJ is romance+sex repulsed, but he clearly has a thorough understanding of it. He was raised by two people in love!

He's emotionally mature and well rounded in physical activities too. His moms raised him well! He just feels uncomfortable when people make romantic remarks/advances toward him.

He has no qualms in affectionate touches or contact. (See also: my DJ+Lindsay Friendship post!)

Except, when there's a romantic or sexual layer added to it:

In this case (Action's "Aftermath II"), Geoff suggested off-screen that Gwen was being cozy with DJ when he just saved her life! He's clearly bothered by it, even though he was just talking pleasantly with Gwen.

In "Newf Kids on the Block" there's also that hot dog scene. (I've hit the picture limit TwT,) When Owen hits on DJ for Noah to try and get him into a alliance with Team Chris, DJ makes this face again.

Yeah, yeah there's the gay joke here, but given DJ's character we know thus far: chill, kind and soft-hearted. He wouldn't be homophobic.

(Again, even if it was accidental or fanon, he has two moms. Plus, he's been shown to accept things more easily than others, like being on good terms with Gwen in Action after the Trent ordeal. I highly doubt someone's sexuality would deter DJ from being nice, if morality or social pressure doesn't.)

Anyway, though. It serves to add to my point. He's made that face (or one similar to it) when it comes to romantically suggestive situations!

He's also one of the only campers (if not the only one, I'm not really thinking hard about the other 99 contestants.) whose storylines have never revolved or included attraction in any way.

In conclusion: aro/ace DJ. 💙

I have seen a lot of stuff about heartstopper. many videos and posts here where people talk about how say it's cringe for Nick to constantly correct people about being Bi. It's fully valid for him to correct. He knows who he is, and those people saying he is gay or any other biphobic remarks are making assumptions. I relate to Nick in how he was figuring out his sexuality (mine was both) and being ace many people want to tell me "you just haven't found the right person" which is said to Isaac in the series. There's a true alliance between Bi and Ace people (at least in my eyes) where both identities are invalidated for either liking both (and more) or not having any attraction at all.

If you are bisexual and see this. I stand with you in your identity. Like charlie and all his friends do in heartstopper. Cause I'd want that with being Ace.

Hi! I’m a COD writer and I saw your cod posts and I agree- can I ask some things though because I want to make sure I’m not part of the problem that makes this community so horrid for people.

If I write for male readers and give a character a majorly ‘bottom or submissive’ role in a piece of writting, is that pushing gay stereotypes if I’m gay myself?

do you know any better ways I could write for nikto or any good examples or links so I could learn better about how to write him and stuff

do you count dead dove or overall kind of questionable things as glorifying SA etc even when it’s more so stuff like toxic characters and such?

if you're a queer man yourself (whether that means you're gay, bi, demi, omni, pan, ace, whatever), then no. it doesn't. if you're a queer man, you're fine lmao

yeah, so one of the BETTER resources to check out is @schizopositivity - they post a lot about schizophrenia and psychosis SPECIFICALLY, which will help a lot. but outside of social media, there is also: the national alliance on mental illness, stamp out stigma, and mind - now, bear in mind, these are only from the top of my head rn bc it's 0230 BUT I can always ask my psychiatrist if he's got any extras next time I talk to him or the other 2 I work with!

yes, absolutely. regardless of if there's a toxic relationship, it's all in the INTENT of how it's written. so, the example I like to give is easy: JAWS, 1975. Jaws was written and MADE with the intent of demonising sharks and glorifying the killing of sharks, right? and DDNE, noncon, etc is written in a similar manner - it's written to portray these things as desirable, as attractive, as something to WANT, even if the character(s) in question do have dubious or abhorrent morality. it's wank material, at the end of the day, regardless of what they claim.

Pansexuality is an inherently biphobic label. Pan people think bi people are only attracted to two genders and they're the only people capable of being attracted to NB people, which erases lived bi experiences and history. Pan people have enbyphobia and biphobia baked into their identity, you can't be a safe space for both those assholes and bi people, because by siding with pan people you're invalidating bi people by default.

I literally have never met a single pan person, either personally or in passing, who thinks this way. In fact, the only place I’ve seen this harmful mindset is in fucking Big Mouth of all shows. Honestly, this mindset you yourself are presenting reads as queerphobic in and of itself. It’s like saying that asexual people are homophobic just for being ace, or binary transgender people are enbyphobic just for falling into the binary gender spectrum. (Hell, I myself faced this while I identified as pan.)

I’m not one to debate a person’s own labels, so if they choose to use it, then I won’t argue. However, if they do have those views, then their label isn’t at fault. Just like you, I don’t doubt, have had an experience just like you’ve described, perhaps they have met a single bi person who was transphobic or enbyphobic, and that’s also not okay.

What I’m saying is that attacking each other isn’t the answer. That’s just what TERFs want, what the LGB Alliance wants, what any exclusionist wants. They want us to be divided and fight with each other so we’re too distracted to notice actual harm being done. The generalization of people identifying with a label isn’t the problem; the queerphobia is.

@cumulativechaos I wasn’t at the center of Ace Discourse, and I held some opinions back in the day I don’t hold now (I thought that the ace and queer communities should be separate but closely allied, often but not always hosting joint events. I’ve since come to see that as wrongheaded, most principally because the people who were very into exclusion wouldn’t have been willing to ally with ace people and likely would have acted to make sure ace people couldn’t get enough resources to create fully independent spaces that could form robust alliances with other sexual minorities anyway.) But from my recollection:

Many people who were for excluding ace people were terfs, though these were not exactly overlapping. Terfs’ objection tended to be, from what I could see, grounded in the idea that there isn’t and shouldn’t be such a thing as a “queer community,” that the idea of a broad “queer” umbrella simply meant that people who are in “opposite gender” relationships (bi people, heteroromantic aces, heterosexual aromantics) would come to outnumber gays and lesbians, and that this would fundamentally change the nature of supportive spaces like gay and lesbian bars and events.

I don’t think the concern that a broader “queer umbrella” might mean people in gay and lesbian relationships are less focused on is purely a terf concern, but they were definitely loud about it. As well as loud about the idea that the word “queer” meant demeaning ourselves or admitting there is something wrong with us.

Where the people who like the term (of which I am one) tend to see it differently. Our idea is that sometimes, you don’t respond to bullies by saying “I’m not that awful thing you called me!” Sometimes, you respond to bullies with “I’m exactly what you just called me. You wanna make something of it? Come on, motherfucker, let’s see it then.”

Sometimes you should refuse to let someone call you a bad name. But sometimes you should ask “why is that a bad name? It’s a perfectly good thing to be. You’re the bad one for saying otherwise.”

His sharp intake of breath yanks Rowan from his thoughts. The god’s mouth is full of too many sharp teeth, his now gray eyes shimmering with a cold, devouring anger that sends a shiver of fear down Rowan’s spine. The blood staining his black shirt is too dark to be red, the crimson arrow buried deep into his shoulder. Rowan’s arrow.

Thirteen years ago, the god of the forest saved Rowan's life.

The world has been wrong ever since.

The Marrow is rotting. It's been rotting for a long time, as is the rest of the world, but now the signs are intensifying, the cracks starting to show: flowers that never bloom, fruits that burst open to reveal hollow cores, cattle that are born too weak to survive to adulthood. Even the village's small houses are buckling under their own weight, the wood soft and feeble to the touch.

Some say it's his fault. He made a mistake and the fey claimed him as theirs, but the god of the forest plucked him from their fingers, giving him a second chance at life. Except his family is now destroyed, the village is dying and the god themselves is barely seen anymore, their once constant, distant presence a vacancy that echoes and aches.

Some say it's the god's fault. What the first forest is owed can't be denied, they say, not even by their lord.

They are all wrong. Rowan doesn't belong to anyone - not to the fey who claimed him, not to the god who saved him, much less to the villagers who now deem him cursed. But when animals turn up mauled and the very earth cracks open under their feet, Rowan knows he must do something to save his home.

His investigation leads to an unlikely alliance with the very god who saved his life - and couldn't care less that they did. Through them, Rowan is forced to see the Marrow, the first forest and the night that almost doomed him through new eyes; there are secrets hidden deep beneath the Marrow's bones, promises made in blood still remembered in the branches of the first forest's monstrous trees, vows that should never have been broken etched into flesh, iron and wood, bonds that even now refuse to disappear. Debts that still need to be paid.

Aight Going full throttle on this then! Some haven't been posted here So I'll try my best! I also have some chapters written if you're interested! Alan is my main character. He's an alien from the Alliance faction that gets stranded on Earth in 2080 something after a battle with the other faction, the Empire. He ends up befriending a group of Earthlings/Terrins that take him in and make sure he's okay, and they end up going on an adventure to get him back to his people.

Medb is a main character that ends up going with the party to reunite Alan with his comrades. She works in the medic's house along with Tamil and Tadhg. She believes in the good in the world, and in the good in Alan as well. She hopes that with the journey she'll see more of the world that she hasn't had the chance to do. Also posting some concept art of Medb riding a hoverbike! She also has 4 adoptive siblings which I'll talk about next!

Sibling chart that's kinda confusing sorry it's old In order of age it's Grainne > Anne > Eldwyn > Medb > Edan They all consider each other like blood siblings, still playing around with the idea Edan and Grainne are actually related but not sure how to incorporate that yet. Let me do a text version of this mess since my handwriting is AWFUL

Eldwyn: He/Him: Idk yet Medb: She/Her: bi/pan

Edan: He/Him: straight probably Grainne <> Anne: Grainne relies on Anne to take care of the others (since Grainne is out doing work for weeks to months at a time) Anne is the only one of the 5 aware of Grianne's past and carries guilt because of it Anne <> Edan: These two meeting ensures chaos ensues (Edan is the prankster of the group) They do have times that they hang out like normal people though lol

Edan <> Medb: Is blank huh?

Also for Edan and Grainne so I'll do that here: Grainne and Edan get into fights with each other constantly, but only when they're not working (mainly merc work like escorting transports, etc)

Edlwyn <> Edan: Edan excludes Eldwyn from his antics, in return Eldwyn covers for him. Eldwyn only lets loose around Edan. Eldwyn <> Medb: Probably the closest pair of siblings. Also considered the most calm pair.

Eldwyn <> Anne: Almost a work relationship (because they both work the IT/ electricity department for their home, size of small city/big town I think, so very important!) Eldwyn tries to stop Anne from going overboard on forums (so basically forums are run like sites today, but are mainly filled with aliens that are basically earthaboos and some earthlings that correct them, and use VPNs <3) They also have a weekly habit to try new recipes, they always turn out good.

Grainne <> Eldwyn: Respect between the two. Not super close, but they listen to each other's stories when they reunite. Grainne <> Medb: Grainne worries for Medb the most (probably sees a lot of her younger self in Medb, and hope it doesn't end in tragedy) Medb looks up to Grainne a lot.

Okay so next is Anne! She's probably changed the most design wise out of all my OCs. They treasure all of their siblings a lot! She's like a pseudo mother figure for the group since Grainne (and by extension Edan) aren't around much. She works in the IT/electricity department of their home called "The Safehouse" because of this, she ends up tinkering in her spare time, on old computers and game consoles. The personal favorite is the 3DS where they play lots of RPGs and other story driven games! They also enjoy cooking with Eldwyn and sometimes Medb!

Next is Eldwyn and Edan! They only have old art sorry! Eldwyn: Is quiet and reserved around strangers, but is himself around his close friends and family (basically ambivert) He also works along side Anne in the IT/electricity department. In his spare time he likes to read books in his spare time, mainly fiction. Edan: An extrovert to his core. A trickster that has a good heart. He works as a merc along with Grainne. I think I need to flesh him out more.

Grainne: My love needs better art, BUT ANYWAY. She's a bit of a mess: she works hard but emotionally she has a lot of baggage from past trauma that hasn't healed. She tries to handle it well around her younger siblings, but is able to open up to her foster dads and Anne. In the business she's know as the Blazing Rider.

Meloe: A soft-spoken lady that's most comparable to JP Effie. She likes doing heavy lifting, helping others, knitting, and eating good food with friends. Been trying to draw her more lately!

Sloane: A quiet guy with a unknown past. He showed up with a young Medb that was covered in bruises and asked for help. Other than that, he's been quiet and hardworking. Medb was never told any of this by older members of the safehouse, including her adoptive parents Nick and Adrian, or Sloane. Nick and Adrian breakdown forgive me I don't have drawings of them Nick is the easy-going leader of the Safehouse while Adrian is the stricter leader. Nick is more in charge of the people and keeping everyone happy and alive, while Adrian is in charge of upkeep of the safehouse's infrastructure. They're both loving dads to the five kiddos!

Tamil: Son of Tadhg and a doctor in the safehouse. He works in the medic's house alongside Medb and his father. He's a chill dude, but needs more work tbh.

Tadhg: Doctor of the Safehouse and father of Tamil. He was an alien researcher a part of a 3rd group, but since he didn't surrender to the imperial faction, he ran with his son and found asylum in the Safehouse. He's a goofy dad but has a good heart. Needs new art desperately sadly.

Toby: An old friend of Grainne. They used to work as mercs together but he ended up leaving that life to work in a bakery. He's next in queue for new ref sheet tho!

And now onto antagonists and people from the Imperial faction!

Wilhelm: Main antagonist. A fan favorite too lol. My mans here is what we call an Earthaboo in the business. Hi main goal in reality is to capture Alan and use him as a political prisoner against the Alliance to get them to fuck off. He has to play everything like a straightman when he isn't around his friends/retainers Elilish and Jackson.

Jackson: An earthling that became a retainer to Wilhelm. Think FE royals hiring their retainers due to skill. He's usually goofy as hell but serious when doing his job protecting prince Wilhelm. Has a past with Grainne.

Elilish: Daughter of an Imperial Marquess. The household's responsibility is to guard the royal family at all costs. I've played with the idea of her house being assassins that take out political rivals or smth. For now she's a solid confidante/ retainer to Wilhelm.

Elodie: Daughter of an Imperial noble that's a little bored with her life on earth. She ends up becoming friends with Medb due to happenstance and enjoying her time more showing Medb things she never got to see. Elodie has her doubts about how the Empireruns things, especially in it's treatment in earthlings as second class citizens.

Viola. An OC I randomly created to be a sort of supporting character. She only recently got a name BUT I'd imagine she's shy and fashionable.
