Either way a win for queer representation, unlike Byler which consists of two soft, vanilla boys, one of whom is 99.9999% likely painfully straight

Mike and Will are proper representation because they are two MAIN characters and because their relationship has been developped and focused on for the past 4 seasons. Mike and Will are proper representation because one of them is CANONICALLY GAY AND IN LOVE WITH THE OTHER. Mike and Will are proper representation because if they actually got together, it would send the message that queer people don't have to settle for their second choice, but that they can also have their happy ending with the person they truly want.

And I'm sorry but if you deem Mike to be 99.99% straight then so is Steve because he never displayed ANY sign of being attracted to men (whereas Mike was jealous of Max and Lucas when they caught Will's attention, and he was also definitely flirting with Will in his room in S4). Eddie is also not canonically queer; he has known Steve for A WEEK; and he's DEAD. And again, even if Steddie had gotten together, it wouldn't have been as impactful as Byler because they have barely interacted and because it wouldn't have sent the same message of hope, as previously said (i.e. it wouldn't have undermined the "sad gay guy hopelessly in love with his straight bff" trope).

And for the rest, I won't even try to explain why Harringrove, a ship involving the most toxic character in the whole show, would NOT be proper representation and would just reinforce stigma against gay people.

So to sum up, you don't want proper queer representation, you want to see two dudes getting it on for your own pleasure and that's gross.

I have nothing against Steddie or Steddie shippers (except those who are just here to fetishize them *cough*); I enjoy fanfictions that explore their dynamics (because YES it IS interesting) but they are NOT proper representation.

You have GOT to understand that the coded storyline FORCES everyone to become hopelessly attracted to the player character, regardless of who they really would be on their own. Natsuki, or Yuri, or Sayori’s romantic feelings for the player are forced on them (I think Sayori’s straight or bi/pan and genuinely in love with MC from the get go, but that’s just me) I could personally see Yuri or Natsuki being lesbian, asexual, or some combo of both.

A fact about dating sims is that they force unnatural attraction towards the mediocre player character on every single character in the game, sometimes making the story feel a bit nonsensical. This nonsensical tone was used by doki doki lit club to make the game feel emphatically unrealistically sugary sweet. If the others were sentient like Monika, they might not be crushing on MC at all. Monika was in love with the player and Sayori was in love with MC, but in my book, the jury is out on Nat and Yuri until we see them free from the confines of the main storyline, or Monika’s control, or whatever else.

My point is, I love people who headcanon ddlc characters (aside from the canonically pansexual Monika) as lesbian or aroace. Y’all are cool and I respect you 😤👊

💚: What's your OC's gender identity and sexuality?

Andi is a cis girl - her pronouns are she/her. She's bi-curious, actually - she once had a crush on April when they were 13, but she suspects that was because April had been such a solid figure in her life after her dad's passing, that she mistook comfort and platonic love for actual romantic attraction. Regardless, she became curious about what a relationship with another girl is like - though these feelings fade after she and Donnie start dating.

🧠: What do you like most about your OC?

Is it superficial to say her appearance? 😅

No, serious answer. I'd say her wit and biting sass - while she does border on being a tad mean at times, it's always fun to have her have a witty remark or comment up her sleeve, especially if banter like that is between her and Raph. Which is why they're my favorite platonic duo 🩷❤️

🧊: Is their current design the first one?

Kind of, but not really - I'll explain.

So when Andi was a self-insert, she was literally that - a self-insert of myself, with my name, appearance, everything. This was technically her original design - until I started redesigning her.

When she became Andi Rhodes, I knew I wanted to make her have caramel-colored hair, green eyes, make her color be pink and have her wear clothes like dresses and stockings - and I stuck to it, eventually finding pictures of a TikToker named Maddy Kendzior on Pinterest, and deciding she was exactly what Andi looked like.

As far as her personality goes, that had a bigger revamp. Again, she was a lot like 13-year-old me at first - a bookworm, introverted, anxious, depressed - but quite flat and static, which was not fun to write. Eventually, I started to ask myself, 'What's an interesting type of character that 2012 Donnie would like?' And I settled on a genius-type - but add some flaws and make them feel different. So I made Andi a prodigy and gave her a laser gun - something unique and fitting for her character. Then I started imagining myself as her - I pictured her as being quite sassy and direct, but still having a good heart and being loyal to the core. She'd still retain some old qualities, though - a bookworm and not doing well with new people being the main ones.

And eventually, I decided to add another little piece of her character - she may be a brilliant scientist, but she's so stupid with love and emotions. It's bleedingly obvious that Donnie loves and adores her - but she's too oblivious to see it, not believing anyone when they tell her and not noticing if he's staring at her or smiling a lot more. This gave me quite a bit to work with, and it allowed me to develop both April's and Donnie's characters - she's a matchmaker when it comes to them, and instead of being hopelessly in love with her and just wishing that she would feel the same (like canon 2012 Donnie can be at times 😒), he's more complex with his feelings - he wishes that he could tell her how he feels and is fearful of her rejecting him, but is mature enough to know that if she wants to be friends, that's more than fine with him - he cares about her and wants to be there for her, friend or girlfriend.

Right next to him we have my lovely sister from a nother mister, Viriel in her favourite colour with a trans flag on top as a nice little sprinkle instead of the main colour scheme because she is more than just her gender identitiy.

On the second picture we have the demi-alliance made up out of a hopelessly bi-romantic demi-sexual and my asexual demi-romantic lesbian fiancée under the conditions that we'll get married if we're both still single by 35 (and have the funds lul).

i love talking abt my stories :DD this is verryyyy long so i’m sorry abt that & the grammar is horrendous so i am so sorry if you can’t actually understand anything 😭

basically there’s three main characters: girl, girls bff and boy (i’m just gonna call them that bc they don’t have names yet). girl is the sunshiney sweetheart type of character, if she ever snaps (and she will, at some point in the story) everyone knows they’ve really fucked up. she’s is bi and hopelessly crushing on a boy at the moment. boy is usually quiet and comes off as kinda snobby sometimes but he’s actually quite nice!! he’s just in an entirely different friend group than girl and girls bff so they haven’t interacted that much. girls bff is a huge theater fan (all three of them are but especially her) and wants to put on a theater play at her school. they’ve got most of the cast already but one of the main cast members backs out suddenly and she’s responsible for finding and casting a new one (for a reason i haven’t determined yet). boy is one of the only people who auditions and by far the best actor out of them, so girls bff casts him (although she rlly isn’t happy about that). she doesn’t like him at all and just grows to hate him more over the course of rehearsals because girl is distracted by him the entire time and girls bff feels like it’s disturbing the play. boy dislikes girls bff because she’s always rude to him, so he’s rude to her as well (he has a crush on girl too though!! or maybe develops one throughout the story. like a ‘she fell first but he felt harder’ kinda thing yk). but at some point girl has an argument with girl’s bff because she’s always so rude to boy. then boy chimes in and agrees with girl but girl is like “hell no, you’ve been an asshole to her too, you’ve both been assholes to eachother” smth like that but more emotional. then she leaves the room and slams the door behind her which leads to boy and girls bff being locked in there for a few hours at least, because it’s one of those doors that locks when you close it for some goddamn reason. nobody finds them until a while later so they have to spend the time together and start arguing, then talking about their worries and stuff and come to realise they’ve actually got some common interests!! and they’re both actually not assholes!! they’ve just been misjudging eachother the entire time. so they go in there hating eachother and come out there as friends :D 

boy and girl get together in the end & the play happens and there’s a happy end (unless i can think of a good plottwist that makes the whole thing more interesting). i kinda wanna give girls bff and boy a bigger reason to hate eachother, other than making a rude first impression on eachother. like maybe they have some history they never got over (def nothing romantic though, i’ve decided that for sure) but i’m not sure about that yet.

i just want an interesting story about romance (esp some bi girl rep where she isn’t in a wlw relationship) and friendship!! and also some cool plot twists maybe. but the downside to that is that i’ll have to come up with it myself 😭 but yeah that’s it so far :D

Kon! I vaguely remembered he had a backstory and dang! It’s actually pretty good! And he will almost immediately be exiled to Comic Relief Island despite the characterization he got in these chapters…

I also miss Kubo’s gag humor, which decreases as the series goes on. Maybe he thought the story was more whimsical at first, but as it became more serious less whimsy was needed? It’s not gone, but we don’t get gems like this:

Also, Orihime is back! I was hoping she’d show up again soon. She’s so cute. Plus, a huge shoutout to the Tatsuhime in this arc. They’re such a cute ship.

In all seriousness, if I could get Kubo to listen to me on one thing, it’d be not increasing Orihime’s bust size in FB, TYBW, and the epilogue.

We get it Kubo. She’s busty. And this isn’t a criticism at Orihime’s character. She’s clearly more than her physical appearance. This is a criticism of Kubo’s design choice. Orihime is already busty, and Kubo increases that. For what purpose? We all know why in our heart of hearts.

Also - a quick note. Orihime’s friends are in this chapter, Chizuru and Others. I dislike Chizuru’s portrayal. She’s “perverted” for comedy purposes which I dislike as a trope. Kon falls into this category too. So suffice it to say anytime there’s comedy about a woman being bothered/groped, know I’m sighing and rolling my eyes. As this is by far not the last time this trope will impact Orihime, I’ll save my lengthy thoughts for another day.

Moving on…

Orihime says she “smells Ichigo” which is supposed to be funny (I’m with Tatsuki on this one: Girl, what?) and Kon appears to flirt with her (Tatsuki looks ready to murder. No one touches her girlfriend!).

Importantly Orihime is the only one who noticed Kon isn’t Ichigo. Though I’m more surprised the others didn’t notice. Do they really think Ichigo leapt up to the third floor window? Does Tatsuki really think Ichigo hardcore flirted with her and Orihime?

I think this shows Orihime is smarter than one might give her credit for. Yes she’s hopelessly in love with Ichigo, but she’s not stupid.

Also, here’s Ichigo freaking out about kissing girls. And while Ichigo says it’s embarrassing, the paneling doesn’t make it seem like flustered-embarrassment, more like mortified-embarrassment. Look. Here’s my thesis. Kubo is 100 percent not writing Ichigo to be gay/bi but he accidentally made Ichigo into a gay/bi icon by refusing to show him engage with women. He blushes at women, sure, but does he connect with them, really? Or are most of his emotional connections with men? I’ll have plenty of time to prove my thesis. And there’s so much evidence (I’m only half kidding). He also has a lot of Ace coding… look. I’m going to make all of these characters LGBT+ and no one can stop me.

Also, Ichigo freaking out over his image being ruined! I like Rukia being confused. Even though she’s growing fonder of Ichigo, she hasn’t quite realized his tough guy act is a facade (don’t worry, Rukia, MITR is next…)

But seriously… Kon! His backstory is so interesting! His character fits in well with the early themes Kubo is establishing! Will we ever learn more about Kon (no). Will we ever learn more about Kon’s past (no). So much potential… But he’s relegated to comic relief instead. I have to guess Kubo meant for that to happen give how quickly Kon becomes a gag, but I wonder if he ever meant to pick up mod-souls again. We have a brief mention of them in TYBW, and that’s it to my memory. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Wait… is MITR really this early? It’s before Don Kanoji? Really? And when do I get to see my beloved Uryu? Not until after that??? More happens in the Substitute Shinigami Arc than I realized (I’m coming for ya, Uryu! Soon enough!).

I don’t think anyone will read this and I doubt I’ll get anything Pride related on the main blog in time for this month. I’m gonna share my OCs sexualities.

Ms. Enswell is a bisexual woman. She’s never dated a woman and she’s in love with a man, but she finds herself admiring the fem staff of the WVBA more and more as well as her classmates at her capoeira lessons. Her adoptive mother and father are very supportive, but it’s taken until now in her early thirties just to wear a pin. Her bio family was catholic and said abhorrent things about the community and even after getting saved from that household there was a lot of internalized hate. She’s never been cruel to others in the community it felt repulsed by them, but also felt ashamed at being unable to join them. She’s never attended anything Pride related herself because she feels like she hasn’t earned the right to count.

Nurse Shio is a straight ally, but her twin brother was gay. She’s at best a biiiit flexible but overall she’s just a humble ally who genuinely ti this day can’t understand the grounds for hate.

Blood Eagle isn’t sure if he would fall under bi or pan, but he’s also definitely Demi (sexual and romantic.) In order to get involved he needs the intimate history of talking, bonding, connecting. He’s not interested in dating, but if he finds himself connecting with someone it’ll consume his thoughts until he acts in it. He’s afraid of losing his individuality and his alone time. He loves people in small doses and wouldn’t know what to do with himself. He has been intimate with men, women, and outside of the binary but just hasn’t felt that click.

Toddy is pansexual. He just lives people and used to be prone to developing crushes regularly. When he was living on Hippo Island he tried dating a guy and girl each, but it was usually the highly revered non-binary Hippoans who astounded him most. As many people have already figured out, Toddy is hopelessly enamored with Heike Kagero. Toddy's not hopeful of ever having his feelings reciprocated however due to their communication and because he's well aware that he doesn't meet the beauty standards that Heike is used to from his own homeland.

Vivian Chatworthy is a transwoman. I was really elated about this one because it was in my head the entire time I was creating her, but I was afraid of being honesty about it for over a year. She's amab, did not have an easy upbringing at all. Her mother rejected her, her father could never truly understand her but tried to and even stood by her when he refused to kick her out of the house like his wife wanted to. She lost him to tragedy right on the cusp of adulthood, used the inheritance to take off to the states to reinvent herself... met the love of her life who, also didn't fully understand, but made more of an attempt than her father did and with information becoming more available over time she was more understood and was able to fully physically transition. It's not a well known fact about her, but she allows for it to just be an open secret. If you know, you know. If you know anything it's that she's loudly supportive alongside her husband and their LGBT child.

Francisco Featherweight is... my least favorite character. He's bisexual but almost kind of prefers identifying as gay. I'm not very interested in him, but he has a particularly difficult home life. He's a gay man into defying typical gender norms, he's into makeup and styling clothing from the womens section, he miiiiiight have a history as a male stripper, and his father is... cruel to him about it. He has a cruel family. His family openly lambast him online. He's having a good time with his fame but he has a bit of an attitude and can be entitled to things and people at time because he does feel he deserves things to go his way at this point in his life. He'll get better I think. Honestly just writing this makes me more sympathetic towards him.

One of Toddy's younger sisters turns out to be a lesbian later down the line (I'm pretty sure Tepache) whereas the other is straight and asexual.

And finally, Moira Ryan, Aran's twin sister... is a closeted lesbian who is deeply in denial. She dated Narcis Prince for over a year and it ended horribly - they do not like one another at all and are both very resentful of one another. It's an issue even Aran won't touch with a fifty foot pole. Moira is deeply attracted to some of the girls on the WVBA staff, but doesn't have a planned ship or a specific crush at this time. She's afraid of coming out because she doesn't want her parents to treat her the way they treat her brother. She still tries dating other men, entering relationships with male influencers who keep up with the WVBA, but deep down all she wants is just for a woman to hold her away from the general public. She's just ready for anyone to know, she's not even ready to be honest with herself. Aran of course has no idea and her dating Narcis feels more like a slight towards him, hooking up with his nemesis.

HR book recs for leads with an age gap (as in 15 yrs + kind of age gap, since a 10 year age gap is fairly standard)?

What I Did For A Duke by Julie Anne Long--lmao definitely, she's like... 20ish, he's pushing 40. To me this is a perfect age gap romance, because you get the kind of... taboo nature of him being experienced and teaching her things while also enjoying the "he is unmanned by her" aspects.

After Dark with The Duke by Julie Anne Long--Heroine is 25, Hero is 42. I think he has a grown son who's maybe a few years younger than her? But yeah, she's a scandalous opera singer and he's an uptight duke who is hopelessly turned on by her. There's this great scene after they fuck for the first time and she's in his office and they have a very normal conversation and before she leaves he's like "oh also. I found your hairpin on my floor. So like. If you want to come back. And see if there are other hairpins in my room. Feel free."

Whitney, My Love by Judith McNaught--15 year age gap. Personally, I like this book, and it is a classic... But it's very long, and if you get your hands on the original, unedited version, he does rape her. It's a "rape but she enjoys it" thing, but it's rape.

Lady Sophia's Lover by Lisa Kleypas--I believe this one has a heroine in her early to mid twenties and a hero pushing 40. She's basically trying to seduce him out of revenge due to something he did to her family, and it's a lot of fun. He's a widower/lawman hero, she's a disgraced lady who works in his household.

Dearest Rogue by Elizabeth Hoyt--The age gap here isn't quite where you want it (I think it's around 12 years--he's 33 and she's 21) but you get a lot of the age gap fun because he's also her bodyguard and is very "OH MY GOD WHAT AM I DOING I HAVE RUINED HER" whenever they do something sexual. I think he like. Dry humps her to mutual completion very spontaneously at one point? And the next day they're like that monkey puppet side eye meme in the carriage. In stone cold silence lmao.

Gentle Rogue by Johanna Lindsey--I wanna say this is a 15 year age gap? It's old and problematic and it's been way too long since I last read it to tell you how problematic it is... I'm guessing dubcon/rape-but-she-enjoyed-it, because Johanna Lindsey... But it is a classic.

A Kingdom of Dreams by Judith McNaught--I want to say the heroine is 17 and the heroine is 30ish? Which, yes, she is underage, but it is also a medieval romance written in the 80s, and it's fucking good. I prefer this to Whitney, My Love. There's some dubcon but it's honestly pretty mild.

Seducing A Stranger by Kerrigan Byrne--Morley is like... 40/nearly 40, and Pru is in her early twenties, I believe. It's... a lot. You have the "he loses himself in this girl" angle, and he does in fact penetrate and come inside her within like half an hour of meeting her, so like. Yay! She gets pregnant, there's a marriage of convenience and a murder mystery, he's very mad at himself about it.

The Chasing of Eleanor Vane by Sierra Simone--A novella, I know you can find it in Duke I'd Like to F... not sure if you can find it independently (but the collection is worth it). He's definitely in his 40s or thereabout, she's probably early twenties as she's engaged to his nephew and ward. HOT. Also, both main characters are bi, I believe.

My Dirty Duke by Joanna Shupe--Another novella from the above collection. Lmao this shit... is so hot. I cannot. Even. He's literally her father's best friend so the age gap is significant. I want to say he's around 40 and she's... 18? 20 max. But she basically propositions him and he's like I COULD NOT POSSIBLY but as it turns out... he could definitely.

Duke of Pleasure by Elizabeth Hoyt--Honestly, I'm not 100% sure on the age gap in this one, but I want to say the heroine is 21 and the hero is a widower and man of action so like... I assumed he was in his thirties. She's also spent a lot of time disguised as a boy so she's not very used to being treated as a lady~. There is a very memorable scene where he's all "pretend you're blowing me so that everyone assumes I'm just getting head from a random and they move on"... while they're on a mission~? i like them together because kumatani's caring to everyone in the crew (protecting iketeru, supporting uramichi, being kind to utano) but the only one he's mean to is usahara. and we know from his backstory that he's prone to violence when provoked, so like.. think about it... instead of emotional support its stress relief boyfriend. like i know everyone's mean to usahara but it's special when your best friend does it

hc that usahara does actually get kicked out for not paying rent and for all that he says kumatani still lets him stay over but just forces usahara to do the housework in return. true malewife

kumatani is gay and knows he's been attracted to usahara since their college days while usahara gets kuma as his bi awakening sometime later

mutual pining, except kumatani doesn't pine, i think he'd just have accepted that his friendship with usahara would be that way forever and just assume he's straight. kumatani doesn't feel like the kind of person to be distressed about unrequited love. especially if its love for someone as blundering and useless as usahara. sorry usahara. usahara probably panics about his attraction occasionally and then tries really hard to do things well to make kuma happy and impress him but always slips back into his bad habits because his self-control is nonexistent, and kumatani doesn't really show much reaction when he does things either, which discourages him.

usahara picks kumatani up on his scooter after he's done fishing and sometimes they go on longer, scenic drives on a whim from usahara. kumatani scolds him for wasting petrol, but not harshly, and they get to slowly drive past the coast at sunset or some shit

bonus hc usahara is good at video games, specifically fpses. he has fast af flicks and good gamesense, but can't strategise much so he dies a lot and gets ranked low despite his technical skill. kumatani probably likes playing handheld console games. he likes rpgs in the same vein as undertale, he would play pokemon (WATER TYPE MAIN. FISH MAIN. FISH), but he also likes beat-em-ups and fighting games.

usahara is alternatively a clingy sleeper and a starfish so kumatani either gets shoved or squished when they sleep together. we know this is canon actually! the starfish part at least! kumatani likes to sleep facedown hugging a pillow on his front which is also canon! they would still have separate beds. they go to sleep at different times so it's easier for them to anyway. usahara would stay up gaming and kumatani would probably either stay up even later than him or go to sleep earlier.

Lemony Snicket (ASOUE) - as in his entity as a character in the series, not the author himself (more the tv show than the books even though the books were my ENTIRE childhood) ((the author’s actual name is daniel handler and he’s a lovely person)) anyways, 

my advice for you first and foremost is to never fall in love with a writer

Will Turner (POTC)- oc is Jack Sparrow’s daughter. she’s super cool. raised by pirates. best parental relationship I’ve ever written (I usually go for the really shitty parent trope, but this time their relationship is rlly soft and makes me happy) anyways, she falls in love with will turner and it’s hot. 

Beatrice and Phillipa (HP) - cute lesbians in gryffindor (golden trio era). should probably read my bill weasley series first because it’s a spinoff. would probably be their fifth year to sometime around the end of the war. main focus would be bea’s shift to the dark side. 

FP Jones (Riverdale) - gotta preface this one with the fact that I hate riverdale as much as the next guy (sorry riverdale fans) I mean . the show’s insane. BUT FP is what got me through it. so this is the story of him and jughead’s mom in the 80s , then there’s a time jump to the first or second season. going to be short but cute. 

Steven Hyde (that 70s show) - NOT played by d*nny m*sterson. anyways, oc moves to point place from nyc with her mom (who kinda sucks -yes, we’re back to the shitty parent trope-) falls for hyde and it’s rly angsty. at some point she lives in hyde’s old house but i’m not sure exactly when bc idk what season I want to start the season on. she’s also best friends with jackie because I’m in love with jackie. 

Regulus and Marlene (HP) - umm so to be completely honest I don’t know what the plan was for this one. the only thing it says in the draft is “marlene is a slytherin”. I think I was high when I made it. but I feel like there’s some sort of potential there so we’ll see what happens. 

Remus Lupin (HP) - either wolfstar or a slytherin oc or maybe regulus I don’t know. I have some ideas for scenes, but no specific people or genders or really any details at all. I just know I’m in love with remus and want to write about him and his sweaters. 

Jesse Pinkman (Breaking Bad) - oc and jesse keep meeting by chance. first it’s because she’s staying at his parent’s house out of necessity (ep 2), then it’s because she’s Jane’s roommate, then it’s at Jane’s funeral. they keep saying they’re parting ways. that they’ll never see each other again, but it doesn’t work. one way or another, they’ll end up together. 

Minerva McGonagall and Pomona Sprout (HP) - one of my fav ships ever. would start in their sixth year and there would be a few major time jumps over the course of the story. very soft relationship. 

Peter Parker (MCU) - oc has powers over the elements. recruited to the avengers by tony stark. in the process of said transition, hydra attacks her family and oc is filled with rage. throughout the story, she lives with different members of the avengers (she moves around a lot) and she and peter have a friends to lovers sort of thing.

Daniel Desario (Freaks and Geeks) - charlotte’s been friends with the freaks since she was a kid. she’s been on-again-off-again dating nick since middle school, she has mixed feelings about kim, ken is her favorite person ever, and she is hopelessly in love with Daniel. when lindsay comes into the picture and things shift dramatically, charlotte finally has the chance to shoot her shot. 

Spencer Reid (Criminal Minds) - word for word what I have in my drafts:

ummmmm so we've got a main character named ummmmmm sophie or phoebe or something and shes like blonde and short and only three months older than reid and sup super smart like with math and science and stuff and she graduated early and has a doctorate and is smart and stuff but doesnt really tell anyone and looks kinda sloppy and has a really relaxed attitude and we love her - she almost dropped out of high school because she was bored but then agent gideon was like dude come on ill give u a job (or something?)

oh and her parents and little brother died in a fire when she was eight only her older brother survived and they are super close she loves him so much but she has some trauma from constantly being sent to foster homes where nodbody wanted to keep her bc shes difficult and also like watching her parents die so she has a HUGE fear of fire and an irrational fear of big dogs

ANYWAYS starts off with her at her house and she's just hangin she has a cat and she's making herself dinner and she's one of those super cute single bi girls who likes her plants and her music and her science bookstore

friends in college story (an original work) - okay so I wanna go to film school (I want to be a screenwriter) and this is an original script I’ve been working on but I might adapt parts of it to a story. basically it’s like a dark academia sitcom where a bunch of liberal, progressive kids go to this rural, ultra-christian college for different reasons and find each other and become the ELITE friend group. obviously it would have a better name than the “friends in college story” although now it’s sort of growing on me

the new tragedy (an original work) - “sometimes i need to remind myself that you existed. You were real, you were so real. your hair was real, your crooked smile was real. the way you couldnt talk in the morning before you’d had your coffee, or how you could never get to sleep at night without an episode of whatever show you were obsessing over in the moment. oh my god. you were real.
