sure!! ^-^ (btw, all served best in fanciest bowl/vessel you have)
as you said, there's always rock candy, but I think M&Ms (mixed), frozen grapes (mixed colours), imperial mints, im pretty sure you could dye butterscotch candy? anyways just generally every treat grandmas have gathering dust in their house, if you're not allergic then nuts, overbaked cookies, cacao nibs, really frozen mochi (I mean suuuuper frozen), there's this thing they sell at my local asian market that im not sure they sell anywhere else but it's like hard jelly that's flavoured inside more jelly that's also flavoured. idk how to make it but the hard jelly is actually really solid, sugar snap peas, REMEBR TO DRINK WATER BUT IF YOU WANT YOU CAN MAKE RIBINA/SUMMER FRUITS/JUICE WITH TAPIOCA PEARLS/BOBA IN, those marshmallow-covered-ceral treats but frozen

i feel like a lot of the 'i hate kids' crowd would be more tolerant if they understood that due to a kid's limited experience of the world that 4 hour flight might just be the longest they've ever had to sit still for or that trapped finger might literally be the most pain they've ever felt in their short life or they might not have ever seen a person with pink hair ever so of course they want to touch it or nobody's told them yet that they can't run around the museum and they only just learned cheetahs are the fastest animals so of course they want to put that to the test. how were they supposed to know etc etc.

So, we know Odalia couldn’t have talked to Eda when they were both in the Archives because Eda was pretending to be the Owlbeast 24/7. But do you think Odalia and Lilith ever spoke during that time?

It's honestly something I'm wondering about writing during the Archives scene in Chapter 5 of Family Jewels. Because Lilith's been an important character to Family Jewels and Odalia, and I do really like the idea of, "Hey we may not get along anymore but I'm grateful for the chance to talk to Anyone during the apocalypse" but also I... can't really think of any conversation they'd have/would fit the fic other than, "oh boy the apocalypse sure does suck doesn't it"??
Suggestions are very welcome because I would love more Odalia and Lilith interaction, and more ideas for what to do with the garbage girlboss when she's one of the only non-puppet people around.

Hello! In relation to the advice post I am a deer and an alien! Maybe if it's not an annoyance then perhaps ways to connect with my kintypes?

Deer
Try wearing earthy tones (light brown, brown, dark brown, green, dark green, cream). Large knitted sweaters, baggy trousers/swishy skirts, sneakers with decorated laces, tons of silver/gold/copper jewellery, charms and keyrings. Look up cottagecore/fairycore/fairy grunge for references.
Try incorporating roots, nuts and berries into your diet. I think the biggest suggestions would be ginger, blackberries, chestnuts, walnuts, potato (idk if that's a root) and apples.
Fragrant (earthy/soft floral) candles, pillows everywhere, bake with cinnamon/nutmeg/ginger/spices, pies and toasties, chocolate and oats/porridge, curtains drawn just after dark.
If you wear makeup- soft brown puppy liner, mascara on top lashes, white inner corner, light blush/peach on under lid (asian/korean makeup tutorials are great for this). you could also go for a soft sparkle eyeshadow if you want. highlight more than usual, not much concealer/foundation, freckles.
Go out on nature walks. Forests with streams, beaches filled with stones, lakes with a gentle breeze. Collect rocks, seagrass, pottery, sticks. Talk with a smile. Immerse yourself in your interests. Read books. Listen to the rain. Have houseplants.
Alien
Wear whatever colour you feel fits your kin (if you've had shifts where you've seen what you look like, use the colours you saw). A lot of the clothing comes down to how you look or how you perceive yourself. There are many ways it could go - soft, light and floaty, or dark, denim, leather and grunge. It relies on you to interpret how you want to express your identity.
Again, try using your knowledge/intuition about your kin to edit your diet. since I don't have any details, I cant recommend much, sorry.
However, I can recommend sweet, gentle candles (Yankee candle have a wide variety of soft scents, id definitely recommend trying them). Try drapes and wind chimes, light colours and hanging sparkly-stuff.

frankly, the people whose kneejerk reaction to bisan asking for a global strike form the 21st-28th is to say that it takes years to organize a general strike are really unhelpful! no one is saying otherwise, but palestine will be a smoking crater if we all wait for years to do anything - bisan is asking us to do something now. Like are we only supposed to do something if we can do it perfectly??? At some point it’s a valid critique about the work that goes into social movement, and at another point I feel like some people are just trying to absolve themselves from not putting any effort into observing a week of economic inaction.
like idk! I get it, okay! People have bills to pay that don’t magically go away for a strike, we don’t have nearly enough social infrastructure in place to support people to fully stop going to work for a week. But fuck, dude! Stop immediately responding in such a defeatist way! Cut out unnecessary purchases! Try to shop local! Put more effort into promoting Palestinian voices online! Attend a protest, call a local rep, do something!
