For other therians/otherkins/alterhumans:

I see a lot of posts about phantom limbs, which is fair. It's upsetting when people can't see your limbs! I understand

BUT I also wanted to tell you all that a few weeks ago my irl friend Onyx was happy and I was sitting next to them and they had a phantom tail and I could feel THEIR tail wagging. I could see it even if I couldn't SEE it. I'm also autistic and can't read body language so it isn't that I just saw that they were happy, it was SPECIFICALLY their tail that made me recognize that they were happy

Humans may not always be able to be as on-level with us but I like to think after that that they can feel it sometimes, they can tell your tail is wagging!! They just might not understand how they know or what that means

Hello hello ! I have a big project for all of us : creating a blessing ! What is this ? From the word « blessing » who is the name of a group of unicorns…a group of mythical creatures…do you get it ? I want to make a big group for all mythkins to come ! Like a pack for therians. I don’t really like the word « pack » since not everyone one of us are therians. For now it will be only virtual but I do really plan that we all will meet irl in a day or another. I want people be in this blessing to support eachother, to create things and express themselves. ALTERHUMANITY AND AUTISM SURVEY!

I have put together a survey regarding the experiences of autistic members of the alterhuman community. This survey is entirely anonymous, and asks questions regarding autistic alterhuman’s self-identification, opinions and more.

This poll features species-neutral language, and a rather short time demand, with there being less than 10 questions in total.

This survey will run for a decent chunk of time to try and make sure that a decent sample size is collected. It will close on July 1st.

If you are both autistic and alterhuman in some way, shape or form, I’d love to have your input! Sharing this around alterhuman and/or autistic circles is appreciated, as well! One set of answers per body, please.

I go about my life as a system member now.

One day, I’m in the front and I reach down to adjust my shoe.

I notice a scar… on our heel… right where I was shot in myth.

Oh the irony.

I ask the host “hey, how did we get that scar?”

They reply: “a metal razer scooter hit us in the ankle”

Sudden realisation: the ‘Achilles would have gotten his shit rocked by a razer scooter’ meme is true.

I don’t know if I should laugh or cry.

Anyone else ever crave a food that doesn't exist? Sometimes I'll have a craving I can't pin like I want to eat the colour indigo or the smell of flowers or savoury soil or a deep fried branch or SOMETHING.

The solution is always the same, though. Cup of tea. Good enough, usually.

So the other night had been very shifty, and hat some point I had felt a cat tail, not fluffy, that was long and quite heavy, I had then started shifting more mentally and started feeling as if I saw my body in the mirror, it was a short of cat with black and purple fur, I had also had red eyes

tips for dragons

pt: tips for dragons

start a hoard! it can be anything! shiny things, china tea cups, cozy scarves, scented candles, cool feathers, or anything that your dragontype feels connected to hoarding!

Make/buy horns, a tail, wings, etc!

paint your nails or get them done like claws!

make scale-mail out of pop can tabs! you can make gloves and such, colour them the colour of your scales, and wear them to feel protected!

vampire fang moulds can make great dragon fangs!

make yourself a lair! this could be some kind of blanket and pillowfort, or some cool creation of large sticks and little rock openings if you live somewhere allowing!!

draw your dragon form, and put the pictures up around your lair!

watch or read comforting films/books! our go-tos are HTTYD, WoF, and Eragon!

use tattoo pens or body paint to make shimmery scales!

do makeup that makes you feel connected to your dragonself!! things like faint scale patterns, bright colours, or sharp contouring can help!!

practice some vocals!! be very careful with them, as many draconic style vocals can be painful on a human throat. look up "safe screaming tutorials" to learn how to false chord or fry chord scream, and that can sound a lot like low dragon roars/growls! take your time though, and be safe!

wear colours and style your dragonself would have liked, or that are the colour/pattern of your scales!

Hello!

I'm Opal, he/they/wyrm/shriek. I am a headmate in a mixed origins gateway system (our system blog: @the-hadal-zone-sys ), but this is my personal sideblog for all of my dragonposting needs!

I am a dragon in-headspace, and consider myself dragonkin/draconic!

I am a gigantic, long, white dragon, with four legs and two wings. My tail naturally curls like a spiral. I have icy blue eyes, and my horns, wings, and tail are decorated with silver and blue jewelry. When I breathe fire, it's more like a concentrated beam of light, hot enough to melt through steel.

This blog will mainly be for otherkin/alterhuman stuff! And just. Dragons. Because dragons are cool. I may be biased.
