Something that I really love abt tdbk is the juxtaposition between how bkg and tdrk present themselves.

Todoroki never loses his cool. He’s always calm, always stoic, always has this neutral expression on his face. It makes so that no one even realizes he’s a sassy little shit cause he’s always so composed.

Bakugou, on the other hand, always loses his cool. Everyone scolds him for being too quick to anger, too foul-mouthed, and too mean.

No wonder Todoroki drove Bakugou crazy. Bakugou was probably one of the first people to realize Todoroki can be just as out of pocket as him and was pissed that no one else realized it.

I can definitely see them getting together Bakugou dedicated himself to making Todoroki lose him composure and it worked a little too well.

Bakugou's quirk makes zero sense

A lot of this has to do with Horikoshi giving Bakugou ridiculous upgrades so he can "keep up" with a quirk that has been growing exponentially over generations, which should not even be attempted. It just makes One for All seem less impressive.

In the battle trials, Bakugou used his support gauntlets to create an explosion that was around the same size as the one he pulled out of nowhere in the sports festival. After he'd fought earlier, literally winning with the fact that quirks gets tired over time. His quirk drawbacks are rarely used and only used to make him look better. It just feels cheap.

Again with the sports festival, if his quirk is based on palm sweat, how did he have anything to explode when Shoto iced him???

Do Bakugou's explosions create or dispell smoke? It's always the same chemical reaction, so that shouldn't change at all. Make up your mind, Hori.

He uses it to fly by having the force push him in the opposite direction. So why does that never happen when he's using it otherwise???

Not to mention how dumb it is that he can apparently change how much light vs sound it produces.

It's just annoying when Horikoshi changes the rules of his quirk constantly to push the rivalry that doesn't even exist.

(Seriously, the save to win vs win to save thing when Izuku literally does both anyway and it's just Bakugou that needs work is so annoying)

I could go deeper into this but I don't have the energy.

(Back on my Bakugou hating shit lolz)

The wildest thing I've ever heard from a Bakugou stan was comparing him to SA victims.

...Let me explain.

So there was a Tweet or Tumblr post floating around some years ago of Bakugou being attacked by the Sludge Villain with the caption, "I don't think he ever recovered from this." It was reposted on Instagram and people (rightfully) called out that Izuku went through the same thing and he didn't get nearly the care that Bakugou got both in-universe and by the fandom.

And of course, this stan was all, "That's like saying "what about men" when women talk about SA!!" And I?? No, Brenda, it's not.

Idk what it is with people and comparing traumatic experiences to SA. Stop that.

But even disregarding that for a minute, do you know how awful it is that the minority kid gets overlooked while the majority kid (who's a bigot no less) gets pandered to? It "had" to happen that way in-universe, but the fandom mirroring it is disappointing, yet unsurprising.

Not to mention that Izuku was way closer to dying. I don't like to compare trauma, but come on. The kid was unconscious, if All Might had been even a minute late he might have died. And he would have died alone, no one around to save him. No one even around to witness it. He would have died thinking that he really was worth nothing.

After Bakugou had told him to throw himself off of a roof.

Mind you, none of the things above are things that were never addressed. For Bakugou it was, even if indirectly. His issue with that situation was being seen as weak and part of his "arc" was coming to terms with that. Izuku'w trauma has been wholly unaddressed at every turn.

But sure, Bakugou's the one who never recovered

a/n: i started watching hell's paradise and i'm entertained by how chobei seems more bakugou than bakugou atp.

"i look fucking stupid." bakugou says, stepping out of your master bathroom. you look up and nearly gasp.

you absolutely disagree. in fact, he looks a little too good, the cosplay turned out too perfect, and not only has he brought chobei to life, he's made an even better version of him, filling out the shoulders of his red-orange kimono all too well, biceps peeking out from tattered sleeves, and thick thighs shaping grey tights. he's also managed to get the smirk down perfectly when he sees you look elated to see him, and you're too busy wondering how quickly you can undress him to wonder how he got the scars done perfectly.

"you look fucking amazing," you exclaim, and for good reason; the likeness is almost uncanny.

"it's just like you to get obsessed with a dude who looks just like me," bakugou teases, as he approaches you. pulling you out of your comfortable position into a standing position, he angles the unreasonably large play axe so that it rests on one shoulder, and kisses your forehead.

as he pulls back, he pouts.

"not fair that i'm the only one in costume."

"you can't handle me in costume," you tease.

he opens his mouth to protest, then grins.

"yeah, the only costume i wanna see you in is naked with my name written all over you."

Rostelecom Told Us Everything We Need to Know About Yuuri Katsuki

It is amazing that Yuuri Katsuki skated how he did at Rostelecom.

Think about it. He gets a call from his sister, who is at the vet with Makkachin who is in a bad way. It's quite possible that this call is exactly the same call he got in Sochi, over a dog who in every way represented Victor AND Makkachin.

The lowest he's ever felt skating was Sochi, and it's possible that history is repeating itself. He sends Victor home (because Yuuri KNOWS how it feels not to be there) and he braces himself against the enormous emotional blow that is losing his coach and reliving his trauma.

No one will EVER be able to claim that Yuuri getting that score, and squeaking into the final was not Herculean.

Victor probably KNEW by then what happened in Sochi. And still Yuuri gave him up (and gave up his support) so that he could be with his sick pup.

It makes you wonder if THAT, watching Yuuri fight through his skate, is when Victor decided he wanted to spend his life with Yuuri.

It was certainly a great reason to sprint through an airport.

What I found ironic about Bakugo Katsuki ( Boku No Hero Academia) and Chloe Bourgeois ( Miraculous Ladybug ).

Is the fact that the latter is way more loved in the fandom yet has done so many awful things regardless when he made a half-baked apology to his victim Izuku, ( even said 'Nothing between us will change and still kept insulting Izuku afterwards, rendering his apology null and void of genuine remorse ).

While the other one on the other hand is hated ( understandable ), yet we're actually shown why she's the way she is ( her parents, yes, even her ADULT father Andre ) but somehow her actions are far irredeemable than what Bakugo has done, despite the author Hori saying that he's not abused from his family like Chloe is.

And you might be thinking, "And? What's your point?". My point is, both has done awful things but somehow, in some odd way, Bakugo is deserving to be forgiven no matter how many times he does something messed up, yet we should never forgive Chloe despite her doing the exact same thing.

Cause in all honesty, I would have chosen to have Izuku and Marinette to NOT forgive their bully, and that Bakugo and Chloe should face consequences and then acknowledge that they should change for the better, without having their literal victims be obligated to help them.

I think the only times Shoto would lose his temper are when someone compares Bakugo to Endeavor and during arguments where Bakugo’s being especially arrogant or awful.

No one’s been stupid enough to compare the two in front of Shoto, and Bakugo has only pissed Shoto off that badly once. The tongue lashing he got was so bad that he never did it again.

Shoto probably felt bad about it at first and thought he hurt Bakugo’s feelings, but later realized that the only thing he hurt was Bakugo’s ego. The two have had few arguments since then <3
