Anti capitalism doesn’t mean not buying that extra shirt, or a third pair of shoes.

Anti capitalism starts at how we view ‘work ethic’ and the push for everyone, regardless of disability or background or race or whatever to have a perfect work ethic, a perfect ability to access work theyre actually happy with. Anti capitalism means you need to stop pushing this idea you need to EARN money in societally acceptable ways because society is rarely accessible and comfortable.

Stop saying you’re anti capitalist if you think people who can not work, or can’t work the ‘stable’ or prized careers for whatever reason are bad, or worth less.

Stop saying you’re anti capitalist if you aren’t working and pushing for accessibility in financial stability.

You are not anti capitalist if you are racist, if you are ableist, if you are anti-Semitic, if you are an asshole. You are not anti capitalist if you think you’re truly helping the issue by simply cutting less on your consumerism.

ANTI CAPITALISM STARTS AT TEARING DOWN THE SOCIETY PUSHED WORK ETHIC.

AND STOP THINKING PEOPLE WHO CAN NOT EARN MONEY HOW YOU WANT THEM TO NEED SAVING YOURE JUST AN ASSHOLE.

Megadeth's first show was played 37 years ago on february 17, 1984

The founding members of Megadeth are Dave Mustaine (obviously), Dave Ellefson, Greg Handevidt and Dijon Carruthers.

You see so much hate in Mustaine's face probably still processing the fact that he was kicked from one of the fastest growing metal band at that time, Metallica.

I just love this picture as it represent perfectly what trash metal musicians were about back in the days.

If you are friends with, defend, or don’t instantly cut ties with people who have been called out as racists, nazis or fascists, you are also apart of the problem. If people who are hurt by these ideologies tell you how to respond to these people and you ignore that, you’re apart of the problem. If you only care when it begins to affect you, you are a huge part of the problem.

Stop silencing those who are hurt by racists and nazis and silence the racists and nazis. Cut them off, don’t associate with them or you are complicit in their ideologies. You are not showing them consequences or negative responses to their actions. You are complicit.

If you’re guilty of any of these things, take your anti racist and anti patches or punk wear off. Because you clearly don’t actively work for your beliefs. I will actively tear your patches off myself.

Do better.

every country and government and people (more or less) have played their part in destroying humanity and the planet

the most evolved of us (morally speaking) know what the issues are, how to solve them, and are more than willing to make the sacrifices necessary to see it come about

for the future of our planet as we've known it and for our species:

we must abandon those ideologies and systems which have harmed, oppressed, and otherwise stunted our growth

we must utilize all of the available knowledge - private, govt, and public - to solve our issues, whatever they may be

we must survive and thrive to become more than we are

i was talking to my best friend/partner about capitalism and how much it sucks and i started ranting about it and i unironically think it’s the most raw fucking thing ive ever written

him: yeah capitalism sucks idk how we even got here

me: i hate it so much. it sucks the lifeblood out of everything and is so symbiotic with other forms of fascism, like white supremacy, trans/homophobia, antisemitism, etc. my theory is that once society “progressed” to “civilization” and people got unfair amounts of power, some of them handled it fine enough and some of them grew obsessed with the power they held over others. it’s akin to thinking you’re something of a god, and therefore you bend the rules of society and the world. other people don’t matter; it’s only you. when you’re at that colossal level of power that we can’t even fathom, everyone else seems like ants you can squish. you’re so incredibly out of touch and have no cognitive empathy for any other human beings anymore. you are in control and obviously you don’t want to give that up because it’s become the thing you feed off of. we’ve moved from a pantheon of invisible or ambiguous benevolent and wicked gods to a pantheon of very real yet untouchable godlike evil figures that masquerade as “good.” it’s incredibly fucking dystopian

Your rules don’t concern me

Y’all know what? All these silly things don’t matter. We’re all gonna die one day and I don’t care if I will die young. So I have decided that I’ll just have a little fun until then. I’m going to every party I want to go to, I’m gonna see all the bands live and I’ll dress in outfits so outrageous that even the fellow queers will view me as too flamboyant. I’m gonna do as many drugs as I want and I’m gonna eat whatever the fuck I want and I’m gonna listen to music as loudly as I want.

Now y’all might say: yeah, that’ll kill you longterm but also just make you really sick and miserable shortterm. But here is where you are wrong. Because I said I’ll do whatever I want and honestly I like my peace and quite and fantasy books more than parties most days and I really don’t like that many bands who come to my city and I only even feel like drinking alcohol or caffeine every once in a blue moon and I get sick at the thought of eating meat. And so doing what I want will probably turn out fine.

And I’ll go protest for what I believe in the ways that I believe are right. Yes, that does mean nuanced slogans at protest (they tend to confuse others a lot) and issue based engagement rather then system based because as much as I’d like to change the system that won’t get us anywhere caus people are way to brainwhased for that. Meanwhile issues are something you can actually convince people on and if you do that with enough issues you’ll get them to see the system is shit in the end. So yeah, fuck my local punks who fight every issue with the same five lines about ending capitalism cause that is going to alienate people instead of getting them aboard for the cause.

Yes, I’m only going to work 20 hours a week and only work fun things and I treat them as my own little game and not give a damn about rude people at my job and just laugh at them. So far this has worked out great for me and all of my coworkers and bosses love me. And yes I’m gonna wake up at noon or in the evening and you can’t stop me. The amount of serotonin that I get about not living in a way that society deems proper and still succeeding at life is unmatched. And the amount of fury I get from punks for not fitting into their idea of punk amuses me to no end.

The only bad thing that will probably happen is that I’ll go deaf eventually which is a bit sad but I love listening to my screamy music loud and I’ll start learning sign language as soon as possible and treat it as not my problem when other people can’t talk to me in a language I understand. Like dude, I speak 6 languages, clearly I’m not the problem here.

Anyways, what I’m trying to say is I’m sick of being depressed and I’m sick of working so hard to fit in, so in the past year I’ve been taking the steps of just not doing that anymore. Radical acceptance of myself and contempt for unnecessary rules and a middlefinger to the goal of prolonging my life as long as humanley possible. Growing old is not a goal, it’s a prison.
