A/n: Oooh this is cute! I love how your requests are so different from what I usually write, I'm not sure how good I can do, but I'll keep trying my best, don't be afraid to send more in!! ^w^

Okay if you tried this on him when you weren't in a relationship/new in a relationship I don't think you'd be here 💀

Tries to play it off as if he didn't like it, but we all know that he actually loves it.

Don't stop- or he's gonna whine- and possibly scream at you to:

"Get back here or else!"

Unless he's dead asleep you won't be able to escape him.

You gotta be sure cause if he's almost asleep but not quite asleep, his eyes are gonna fly wide open, and it'll take him at least 3x longer to fall back asleep..

"There, now you just need rest." You mumble, stepping back to gaze lovingly at Dabi who was currently taking over the entire bed, and soaking your sheets with sweat.

Grunting, Dabi grabbed your wrist, tugging you toward him. "Cuddles.." he pouted, causing you to giggle.

Slipping next to him, you try to ignore the unbearable heat that surrounds you as Dabi throws his entire body over you.

"Can you just.. talk- until I fall asleep?" Dabi muttered, causing you to smile whole-heartedly.

Suprised by Dabi's sudden vulnerabiliy, you resist the urge to tease him incase he decided to ignore you for it.

"Hmmm? What about I sing to you instead?" You ask, carding your hands through Dabi's hair- ignoring the sweat for your beloved.

Taking Dabi's silence as a yes, you suddenly remember the song your parent/guardian used to sing to you whenever you were sick. Clearing out your throat, you start to softly sing.

"Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur~"

"What are you-"

"-happy kitty, sleepy kitty, pur pur pur~."

After a few seconds of silence you tug at Dabi's hair playfully, causing him to hiss in -dramatized- pain.

"What the-"

"I was singing, and you interupted me." You pout, causing Dabi to scoff affectionatly.

After a few more moments of silence Dabi suddenly pushed his leg into yours. "Well keep going.."

Giggling softly, you re-adjust to get more comfortable before continuing.

"Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur~"

Hawks

Oh boy does he love it.

The first time you sung to him he almost died.

As soon as you stop he is begging you to start again.

"Y/n/n~ please~ I'm gonna die without your angelic voice- Baby Bird~!"

Even after he's better he now wants you to sing it- or anything else really- to him every night.

Though he's not really supposed to- he calls you in the middle of the night when he's on missions just so you can sing to him.

He gets really really pouty if you either can't or refuse to sing to him, and he'll even ignore you if you really hurt his feelings.

Even all of your love, hugs, apologizes, and even kisses- Hawks' favorite thing in the world- won't make it better.

If you want your bird back, you gotta sing to him.

And he doesn't care if you're self conscious, he'll convince you that you have a gorgeous voice- because you really do- and he'll fill you up with so much confidence that you want to sing to him.

Oh and if anyone dares say a single bad thing about your voice, they're getting a feather following them for weeks, making sure that they have terrible luck..

Smiling, you kiss Hawks' forehead before making sure he was tucked in. Looking down at him, your smile grew sweeter at his love-sick look he loved to give you.

"Baby.. could you sing to me?" He coos, giving you such a cute smile you couldn't refuse.

"Hmm okay, but I don't remember it all too well, so it might be bad.."

"As long as it's you singing, I don't care.."

"Okay then, close your eyes."

After his eyes were closed you give his cheek a peck in gratitude before starting to sing.

"*clears throat* Soft kitty, warm kitty... little ball of fur.. happy kitty, sleepy kitty, pur pur pur~."

As soon as you were done Hawks' eyes shot open, shining as he stared at you.

"More please, oh please could you sing to me more!" He begs, attempting to sit up.

"Woah woah calm down, lay down and rest, and I'll sing to you more, deal?"

Nodding, Hawks relaxes again, causing your smile to return.

"Soft kitty, warm kitty.. little ball of fur~, happy kitty, sleepy kitty, pur pur pur~. Soft kitty warm kitty, little ball of fur-"

Aizawa Shota

Oh this man needs it.

No cause- this gives him some kinda domestic feeling that he didn't really get from his childhood- especially when his mom was sent to the hospital.

His eyes will get sad and he'll pout up at you, silently begging you to continue.

And who could ever say no to that face 🥺??

"Oh baby, you have a fever." You frown, moving your hand down Shoto's face in a soothing manner.

"I-it's nothing.. I can still make it to our d-date.." Shoto coughed, causing your heart to break.

"No no, we'll have our date here. We'll just cuddle, let me go get you some medicine and a wet rag, yeah?"

"Okay.. but don't take too long."

"I'll be right back my love." You promise, kissing Shoto's lips.

At this point you didn't even care if you got sick, you just wanted to comfort him.

Rushing off to get him some Tylenol and a wet rag, you hurry back with a new idea circling your brain.

"Here you go baby, this will help with your headache, and this should help tone down your fever." You smile, caring for your beloved tenderly.

After Shoto was settled down you slipped into bed, getting comfy before you gesture for Shoto to scramble ontop of you.

Finally, Shoto was comfortably laying across you, face buried into your chest to breathe in your comforting smell. Grinning, you hold the rag up to his forehead, not even batting an eye at the uncomfortable feeling.

"Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur~. Happy kitty, sleep kitty, pur pur pur~."

"Please keep singing.. I really like it." Shoto whispered, causing your heart to melt.

You continued to softly sing to him until he was dead asleep, and even past then- until you fell asleep as well.

After a while of not knowing what to do and growing desperate, he starts to fidget and keeps changing positions, praying that you'd notice his movements and start singing again, which you eventually do.

Snuggling against Tamaki, you felt the sudden urge to sing the song that your parent/guardian always sang to you when you were sick.

"Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur~. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, pur pur pur~."

You yawned, not really noticing any kind of acknowledgment from Tama besides his slight shift in movement.

It was when you were drifting off to sleep when you realized that Tamaki was getting really fidgety- which usually meant that he wanted something, but didn't know how to express it. Smiling, you decide to start singing. Pure adoration filled your chest as Tamaki's fidgeting stopped and he simply stayed still, chests pressed against one another's and limbs entangled.

ur hcs are just the best and i dont wanna be a bother)))): but do you mayb have any thoughts about tsukasa being just a little sickie baby. a baby who deserves all the care from wxs and kaito and saki and toya and and everyone in the world becsuse hes their little star ever . sniff .

Oooo, I've been rotating the idea of a little Tsukasa sickfic around in my head for a whileee, I guess now it's time I set some of those thoughts free, huh?

(Felt like making a paci edit for once, paci from here)

☆ He'll very much not want to admit that he's sick at first, he can't be, he's a star, he's a big kid, they never get sick! Plus, he doesn't wanna trouble anyone...when he was an actual kid, if he was sick he wouldn't get much more than the required attention from his parents in order to not risk passing it to Saki as well, even now that she's doing better he can't really get out of that mindset.

☆ The rest of WxS can probably tell that something's wrong, but he'll insist that he's fine, he's not small, and he's surely not sick! He tries to go about rehearsal like normal, but he just starts to feel worse and worse, and it's harder and harder to stay big, and eventually the poor kiddo just breaks down because it hurts and he feels icky and he wants this feeling to go away!

☆ The others immediately stop practice, their leader clearly not being up to it physically or mentally. They take him home and decide they're gonna take care of their little star! Emu gets him all tucked in nice and cozy, Rui makes him some warm tea in his sippy cup to help him feel better, and if he starts getting sleepy or fussy Nene sings him lullabies to help him get some rest.

☆ Tsukasa's very clingy while sick, something he usually represses, but now that he's smaller than ever it's clear as day. He needs at least one of the others with him at all times or he'll be a very sad and lonely little one, even if he's snuggled up with all of his plushies he wants them too! Even if he has more than one of them with him he'll be sad if someone leaves, even for a moment ("Where going Rui-nii?" "Oh, I was just going to get you some more medicine." "Oh... :'(" "I'll only be gone for a second baby, and you have Emu-nee and Ne-neechan here in the meantime!" "But want Rui-nii too :<")

☆ It's somewhat hard to get him to take medicine, it's yucky! They have to almost turn it into a game, no no, it's not medicine, it's a magical healing potion to help our little star feel better! He's more okay with it when they phrase it like that.

☆ When Saki gets home, Tsukasa tries to hide, he doesn't wanna get his Neechan sick! She and the other WxS members are eventually able to show him that it's alright, she'll be okay, and his troupemates go home while Saki's here to help her little brother! She dotes on him a lot, it's the least she can do for how much he helped her when she was sick as a child.

☆ At some point in the middle of the night, poor thing has a fever medicine nightmare, and wakes up terrified. He doesn't wanna bother the others or wake up Saki, so he manages to get the strength to go to the Sekai, where Kaito suddenly wakes up to find a very sick and scared little one. He takes him into the little nursery that he and the other Virtual Singers had set up backstage in their circus tent, and he gets him some warm milk and helps Tsukasa calm down from his nightmare. Once he starts feeling a bit better, he gives him a kiss on the forehead and sends him back to the real world, where he's able to sleep peacefully again.

☆ Since WxS still had practice for some of the next day, Saki and Toya decided that they were going to look after Tsukasa until they're free! Toya also wanted to pay him back for everything he did for him as a child, so while he's not as good at some of the aspects of taking care of a sick little one as the others are (Saki insisted on being the one to be in charge of cooking and such for him), he's as gentle and caring as anyone, singing soft lullabies to him and even bringing him a special new plushie to help him feel better.

☆ By the time he's all better (and also big again), Tsukasa is very, very grateful to the others for everything they did for him while he was sick, he even decides to put on a special thank you show for them, what better way for a star to express his gratitude after all!

crazy over you ~ simon ghost riley x reader slow burn/enemies to lovers

description: y/n gets transferred to task force 141 and quickly becomes friends with soap and gaz, but her and ghost "hate" each other for the first part. warnings: mentions of violence and death (duh), alcohol intake, smoking (at some point), nsfw (at some point), subtle flirting with soap. i'm new to writing? so don't expect this to be the greatest. this is not in line with the game campaigns or missions. the only characters i included are y/n, soap, gaz, price, & ghost. i have no knowledge of the military this is just creativity disclaimer: i do not own modern warfare or any of its characters.

chapters: next [mission successful] last

You wake up allowing yourself time to shower and fully prepare, physically and mentally. You pack your bag with everything you may need, not knowing how long this mission will take. This is not the time to make any mistakes, you have to prove yourself. Finally, you head down to the kitchen to hydrate with several glasses of water to see everyone else in the same room as well.

"Morning, Diamond," Price said.

"Morning!" you murmured with a tired voice.

Price orders everyone to head to the conference room since everyone was already up, figuring to go ahead and get started.

As he goes over the details, you learn you're being paired with fucking Ghost to keep a set of eyes on Soap while he retrieves a USB that contains data full of intel while Price and Gaz talk to the leaders.

You fight yourself internally, telling yourself that you will not allow yourself to fail just because you're going to be with Ghost. He'll get used to your presence; you're not going anywhere. It can't possibly go wrong. How much simpler could it be? If anything, you were thankful this was your first mission. You will be able to get used to seeing how the Task Force handles their selves, and how you can conform your abilities to fit in best. You're relieved they're not sending you to retrieve this data.

After gathering weapons, and equipment. Everyone gets in the helo, and you sit in the furthest corner, to cherish the time to yourself before getting this mission over with. You notice how everyone else is cutting up and laughing, and you smirk at their optimism.

Your loneliness was interrupted by the Captain, who came over to check on you.

"Hey," he groaned while he sat down. "Damn these old bones... Listen, you're gonna do fine, kid. Ya nervous?"

"Little bit, I guess," you shrug and reposition yourself. "Guess I'm just scared of rejection or failure. I don't know... but thank you, sir."

"What about your old base and the missions you used to do there, huh?" he questioned.

"Yeah, well, I was good but not as good as them," you gesture to the group of men. "We did some crazy things, and even lost some people. But after reading the files, I can't imagine what they've gone through, yet they're not nervous."

He nods and stands up, "Shit'll grow on ya, y/l/n. We do the dirty work that keeps the world clean... 'n rid the world of filth. Chin up."

Everyone gets dropped off in their respective areas securely. When you and the Lieutenant finally arrive at the site, he breaks the awkward silence, though not nicely.

"Don't fuck this up, y/n," he instructs. "Don't fire unless Price or I order you to. That simple."

"Yes, sir," you nod, getting into position. Yeah, no shit. You glance over and see Price and Gaz conversing with a group of men, then back on the floor Soap's on.

Soap comes through on the comms, "Got eyes on the file, Ghost."

"Easy, MacTavish. Watch your six, two men coming up behind."

Soap takes notice, and in 4 quick moves, takes down the enemies with expertise. New enemies approaching him on either side, you and Ghost nod at each other.

"I got the one on the right," you nodded at Ghost as he understood.

Steadying your aim, you shoot the guy in his jugular, causing blood to squirt out as he collapses. You see the other enemy hit right between the eyes.

"Nice shot, soldier," Ghost called. You smile, quite proud of yourself, and weirdly happy Ghost acknowledges your success, for now.

"Soap, how copy?"

"Solid. Got the USB."

"Head up to the rooftop for an exit," Ghost rasped.

You look over at Ghost who was already looking at you, "Get in the chopper, wait for me."

You obey and get in, leaning against the wall. Your heart almost steadies as you think the mission is over. Ghost gets in after you, and when you head over to collect Soap, to your surprise, he's surrounded by 10 men, making him drop his weapons. Fuck, you complain.

"Price, Soap is surrounded," you speak over comms.

"Shit. Distract them. Take 'em down," Price ordered, surprisingly calmly.

Your eyes widen when you have to think of a way to distract them on the spot, so, you leave your rifle and holster your pistol, hoping that if there's a God up above, he'll certainly help you at this moment.

As the helicopter approaches the building, the squad of men points their guns at you while you hop down, holding your hands up. "Hi, boys," you smirk, praying this will work. You walk around a generator, letting them focus on you so Ghost can get out and sneak up on them. "What're we doing out here? Whatcha got? Or who do you have here?"

"Oh, relax, I'm not going to do anything!" you lie, hands still up, smiling at them as they look at each other in confusion. You slowly step closer, carefully observing the surroundings, watching Ghost creep up and take one out silently, stabbing him 5 times in his carotid. Then another... and another. Damn, he is good at his job.

The chopper flies away, letting you guys' sort this out.

"Ugggh," you groan. "You guys are no fun! Not going to invite me to the party?"

You had no fucking clue what you were doing but it was confusing them, too as they were speaking another language, trying to figure out what the fuck you were doing. You're surprised they haven't shot you yet.

You figure this is it, Ghost has taken out 3 men without them noticing, and you don't know how. You and Soap make eye contact and nod at each other - mentally understanding. You and Soap move in unison as he grabs his pistol that was kicked to the side, and fires it at the enemy, and while the one in front of you looks behind themselves, holding their gun up, you take the opportunity to grab your knife and puncture it through one's neck, blood splattering all over you.

5 down, 3 to go.

Ghost is lucky you didn't feel him staring at you for a quick second. The sight ahead of him, you covered in blood, did something to him.

You felt a gun staring at you, but before it could go off, Ghost body slammed him and sliced his throat, Soap fist fighting one, and that leaves the last one to you. He must have gotten his gun knocked out of his hands because he runs at you with a knife, and you move out of the way quick enough to let him fall. You tower over him from behind, pick his head up from his hair and slit his throat with ease.

Well, the mission was successful after all.

"Captain, we got 'em. Ready for pickup," Ghost declared, out of breath.

Soap walks up to you, patting your shoulder, "Good job, lass, didn't think that was working. Hi, boys!" he mocks you in a higher-pitched tone, literally giggling.

"Shut up, I didn't know what else to do to distract them," you chortled.

"It worked," Ghost chimed in. "Fortunately."

"Aye, she did nice."

"I did most of the work," Ghost hissed. You scoff internally. You really can't please this man. You forgot about him as you couldn't wait to eat, you were starving. Glad the mission took less time than you expected, you silently pat yourself on the back for surviving.

Oh man I missed grabbing context for this but there was a secret room in the Palace with a fucked up torture shrine to Shiho. so like Princess Ann is Kamoshida's right hand girl, but he had like.... feelings? for shiho? which I guess manifested as her getting the worst of his abuse.

So her cognitive copy shows up to help him and it's supremely messed up and i hate this guy.

Ann faces off with him and has a golden opportunity to kill him, but refrains so he'll confess to his crimes. Which: gorl. Damn. You are strong as hell, I am not certain I would be able to do the same in your shoes. Ann is great.

Taking the treasure, the team gets the fuck out of there but WEIRD THING HAPPENS on the way out.

While the Palace collapses, everyone runs for it, but Morgana turns back into a cat????

Morgana only kind of knows how the Metaverse works frankly

and it so reminds me of Teddie, who understood for himself how the TV World worked, but didn't really know enough to figure out the broader picture of the real world and TV world interacting.

Morgana is convinced that they're a human and if they do the right thing in the Metaverse, they will regain their lost body and memories.

I am starting to think that's not the case and this is similar to how Teddie grew a humanboy body when he wanted to join the real world. Is Morgana a denizen of the Metaverse who subconsciously decided to grow a cat body to interact with Reverie and co?

Rise and Teddie made it clear there is no such thing as a true self, so I am curious what Morgana determines themself to be.

ANYWAY THAT'S THE FIRST PALACE DONE, WHOO. Now I have, like, 12 days to fuck around and do what I like.

Sending a another ask btw but it's then a conflict of interest then you suppose? Cuz i feel Ryukishi's gonna post a redux edition of ciconia in the form of silent hill F to be honest to try to tie it back to wtc. String of fate reference, tezuka cast vibe, or even a behind the set vibe. Like a vent post of his working experiences as a social worker and how he wants to write as a hobby about without losing his job or smth like that.

I don't really have to the right to say this cuz im not a full time author but is this train of thought correct?

I feel like authors always have personal desires they want to put into their works, even commission works. But so long as they focus on balancing their own creative energies with the wishes of the client, they'll be able to create something great. Ryukishi was probably hired because they wanted his unique creative energies to be put into a Silent Hill project. With his non-07th works, whether it's good or mediocre is always a mixed bag, but I'm still excited to see how he handles it.

Ryukishi has put out a variety of works since Umineko. If I was to list anything that's a vent work, it would be Higanbana. It talks a lot about bullying at schools, the uselessness of / abuse by adults, and has a lot of violent retribution towards those who hurt children. Ryukishi is the creator of 07th Expansion, so while his staff might sometimes ask him to tone something down (like how he scrapped Ikuko Tohya marriage due to staff), he has a lot of creative freedom there. If he has limits, I'd presume it's more of a resource problem (they're a small indie company) than anyone limiting him. Even the hiatus of Ciconia seems to be due to Ryukishi worrying about the current world events and how they parallel Ciconia.

I don't think Ryukishi will be using Silent Hill F as a place to vent, since he's had plenty of works in the past that he could use (and has used, with Higanbana). He's also still writing Ciconia when he finds time. I think he's a professional, so he'll be able to use his experiences and thoughts to enrich Silent Hill without taking away from its identity.

The Lemon Legacy: Generation 1, Chapter 63 - The Hottest of Messes

Ophelia can't sleep. She lays in bed because she has no idea what else to do.

Xander and Hilary should be back by now. Surely, Hector's told them some lie about what happened, that she tried to come onto him and he fired her as a result.

Ophelia's phone pings. She can't look.

Ophelia picks at a plate of leftovers and stares at the photo across from her dining table.

Xander will never want to speak to her again. Her bandmates will hate her for "betraying" their friend and quitting the band.

Hector's taken everything from her.

She can't even tell anyone else because surely he'll spread lies about what happened to the public. Who's the world going to believe? Hector has credibility and, like he said, she's just some dumb floozy.

Ophelia's too tired to defend herself to anyone, let alone everyone.

Her phone buzzes but she can't bare to look. Maybe it's Hilary wanting to cuss her out for trying to "seduce" her husband or whatever Hector claims. Maybe it's Xander telling her they're done.

Ophelia feels like she's drowning. It's easier to just swim down than back up.

Ophelia's whole career was a lie. Hector didn't care about her talent, he just wanted to use her as his little play thing, and now she's never going to perform again.

Ophelia's always been able to bounce back no matter what. She doesn't think she can pull it off this time.

At the Pappas manor, Xander's finally gotten Greta and Jace calmed down enough that they can distract themselves with some mindless TV.

Hilary's not answering his calls or texts so he still has no idea why she wouldn't let them into the Laurent home, but he has his suspicions.

Xander texted Ophelia a couple of times and left a voice mail telling her what's happening, as much as he knows anyway, but no response. He hasn't heard from her since her goodnight text. It's unusual but he has to be there for the kids. She'll understand why he hasn't come over.

Xander sends his girlfriend one last text before realizing Hilary has arrived.

He goes to badger her, but before he can, Hilary practically collapses, sobbing into his shoulder. All Xander can think to do is hold her, like all the times she held him while he cried as a kid.

Xander has only seen his sister cry a handful of times, including at their parents' funeral the other day. Whatever she saw had to have been devastating.

Xander: Hilary, I need you to tell me what happened so I can help.

Hilary: I wish it was that simple, Alexander.

Hilary: Hector… I-I walked in on him trying to… he was…

There's only one thing he could have been doing to get this reaction out of her. Xander knew they were fighting, but Hector had always been such a nice guy. He never thought he'd cheat on Hilary.

Xander: Oh Watcher. He didn't. It was Tiff, wasn't it?

Fresh tears prickle Hilary's eyes. It was bad enough what Hector did to her, why did her baby brother have to be involved?

Hilary: Hector… was trying to coerce Ophelia into sleeping with him.

Xander literally can't believe that.

Xander: No. N-No, she wouldn't-

Hilary: She didn't. She rejected him, even when he threatened to get her blacklisted. At least one of us has a loyal partner.

Hilary hopes that doesn't sound bitter. She's so glad Ophelia stood her ground.

Xander: That bastard. I'm gonna beat his ass the next time I see him.

Hilary: I heard Ophelia slap him. Sounded like a good one, too. I tried to call her and make sure she was okay but she's ghosting me. She probably presumes Hector fed me some crap that makes her the villain.

Xander: She hasn't been answering me either.

Hilary: She didn't know I was there, listening. I feel like such a coward. I should have stopped him, but I couldn't move.

Xander: Don't you dare blame yourself. Hector's the asshole here, not you. You must have been in shock.

Hilary: Our parents dying, walking in and hearing all that… It felt like I had to have been imagining it, it was just too much all at once. But no, it was real. I just stood by while Hector tried to take advantage of a woman half his age. I've never felt so pathetic in my life.

Hilary: I… I'm leaving him. There's no going back after this. I didn't use the word 'divorce' but Hector got the gist. We still need to settle quite a few things though. That's going to be fun.

Xander: I'm so sorry.

Hilary: I'm sorry this affected you and Ophelia too.

Hilary: I don't know what to tell the kids. They're smart, they know something is up. I don't even think I can tell them the full story. It's too adult for Jace, but Greta… He did something unforgivable but he's always been a wonderful father. I don't want them to lose him too.

Xander: I'm not going to tell you what to do, they're your kids. Maybe be as honest as you can with Jace, given how young she is, but Greta's not going to accept a llamashit explanation, that might make things worse.

Hilary. That's fair… Go on, go talk to Ophelia.

Xander: Hil, you shouldn't be alone right now. The past few days have been hell, and now this?

Hilary: I can handle myself. Go to Ophelia.

Xander: I'll go as soon as can but for now, I'll ask Drew or Moses to check on her. Ophelia will understand once she knows the whole story.

Hilary: Alexander-

Xander: No, don't Alexander me. I'm gonna see Ophelia, but the band can help her for now. Right now, you need someone to help you out too. You can shower and take a minute to breathe, I'll cook Greta and Jace some lunch, keep distracting them.

Xander: I'm calling Drew. Can I tell them what happened so they know how to help Ophelia?

Hilary feels silly for wanting her baby brother around for support, but other than her kids, he's the last family she's got, and she really needs family right now.

Hilary: Yes. Thank you.

Drew and Moses showed up for their usual yoga class. They knew Xander was probably too exhausted from his travels, but where was Ophelia?

Moses: Maybe she stayed with him and forgot to tell us? Oh wait, she messaged the group chat.

Moses: That’s odd. These messages are from last night at like, 1 AM. I was exhausted last night, I'd conked out by then.

Drew: Guess I forgot to take my phone off silent. I didn't see these.

Drew checks the group chat for themself.

Drew: “Where are you? What's taking so long?” We didn’t have plans last night.

They get another notification. This time, it’s from Hector. He usually emails them about upcoming weddings they’re playing, but this one is different.

Moses: “As of last night, Ophelia Lemon is no longer a member of Let Them Eat Cake?”

Drew: This has to be some kind of joke. She wouldn’t do that, not without telling us.

Moses’ first instinct is to call the woman in question. She doesn’t pick up. Not one of the five times.

Moses: Damn it, she’s not answering. I can’t think of anything we did to piss her off.

Drew: Even if we did, Ophelia isn't the kind of person to quit without saying anything because her bandmates pissed her off. She's too damn determined to quit so easily.

Drew gets a call and, while they’re disappointed it’s not Ophelia, Xander’s their next bet at figuring this out.

They greet Xander but whatever he's saying shuts them up immediately. That alone concerns Moses because Drew never listens to Xander when he talks.

Moses isn’t able to get much from the call, other than seeing Drew go from confused to furious in record time.

When Drew hangs up, before Moses can even ask-

Drew: HECTOR LAURENT IS A DEAD MAN!

ayo another meta post for wangxian (but nightless city flavored)

Alright y'all bare with me here since I cannot for the life of me upload screenshots or gifs (I swear I'll figure out my weird computer eventually but today is not that day). Absolutely in love with the gifset @cherryysundae posted, so I'm gonna attach that here for reference to the scene: (XX) (pls work)

TLDR; I have way too many emotions about the cliff scene, but especially the part where WWX realizes that JC is going to send LWJ down with WWX and WWX can't take that so he wrenches away to save LWJ bc he can't lose any more than he already has, even if that means dying alone (but then him realizing 16y later that maybe he still has reasons to live and he'll do whatever he can to keep them this time).

Once again getting emotional about wangxian, specifically the Bloodbath of Nightless City when WWX dies.

Ofc we see that WWX has lost virtually everything at this point, right? Lost his adoptive parents (no matter how cruel they might have been, they still raised him so it's gonna be a shock a person just doesn't recover from in even a year). Lost the respect of the cultivation world because he wasn't willing to fit into their mob mentality and charge the innocent for the crimes of a war. Lost his clan, his home, his family when Jiang Cheng rejected him; people he's known and fought beside his whole life, places he's grown up in, foods he's connected to every little moment. Lost his new family, seeing the Wens dead and disgraced with crowds of people able to witness their bodies and talk shit on them (he doesn't see A-Yuan, ofc, but surely he wouldn't believe a little kid to survive the indiscriminate wrath of the entire cultivation world. He knows what's coming, he knows A-Yuan is done for if not already. He can't protect him anymore). He looses his sister, his tether to the world, the one person (he knew of, at least, as we know that even when he came back via MXY, WWX thought LWJ never actually trusted him) that truly believed there was good in him --- that maybe he was doing a good thing. And she died right in front of him with him believing it was his control of the spirits that caused the chain of events (IT WASN'T EVEN THE SPIRITS THAT SURELY KILLED HER. SHE WOULD HAVE LIVED JUST FROM THAT. It was some other cultivator determined to take down WWX in his moment of vulnerability and family mourning that lead to Jiang Yanli pushing him out of the way so the sword would run her through instead). And then, if there was any hope in rekindling his relationship with Jiang Cheng, that surely suffocated it. He's lost everything.

And the worst part? They can't even see what they've all become. Wei Wuxian just stands there, overlooking the destruction they're all spiraling into, no longer even trying to control the spirits. He breaks the Yin Tiger Seal and scatters it to the animalistic crowd below. Now, he really has nothing. What more to lose? There's no coming back from this, nothing more for him to do, no one else for him to protect.

"Trust me," LWJ told him when they still stood on the rooftop together before it all got so out of control. It's the fact that even before WWX lost control of the spirits (with someone else's flute taking over and causing the destruction), LWJ is there with WWX trying to calm the situation, help him the only way he knows how. "Lan Zhan, do you think I have any other choice now?"

"The situation changed ... You must trust me. It's not that simple."

FIRST OF ALL IM SCREAMING The change this represents for Lan Wangji??? "It's not that simple" --- after years of trying to understand WWX and this growing tension within the cultivation world and their tyrannical systems, consulting Lan Xichen about "black and white, good and bad" and how not simple it all is. "Do you think I have any other choice now?" Because WWX thinks he understands LWJ by now; that the Perfect Golden Child of the Lan Sect would of course cherish and uphold every rule and regulation and surely the Lan Sect wouldn't allow for WWX's reputational actions (he should know, he memorized (almost) all of them, cocky lil shit reciting them to Wen Chao instead of the Wen Clan's). So surely, LWJ would believe there's nothing else for WWX to do --- he's too far gone. Everyone else seems to think so, why not him? If even his own brother could reject him like that, why would some High Moral guy who "hates [his] guts" (thanks, JC, for completely misreading LWJ's gay frustration) think that any of this is still salvageable?

"Situation changed" "trust me" "not that simple" --- bc LWJ understands now, he does. He watched what they did to the Wens, he knows that A-Yuan is still out there somewhere, all alone surrounded by resentful spirits. He hears how the crowd refuses to even try to reason, how they attempt to shoot WWX down, scorn him for defending himself --- others can harm him, but he can't touch them. Most of all, Lan Zhan knows Wei Ying. He just needs WWX to trust him now, and they can figure out a way --- even if it means leaving everything else behind.

In my opinion, I think LWJ was willing to sacrifice everything for WWX in this moment. I think he was ready. Before JYL died, before WWX lost control of the spirits, before the crowd broke out into monsters slicing and smashing each other for a piece of the Yin Tiger Seal. He would have done it. But then... "situation changed" again. Wei Wuxian lost everything (everything except him, but LWJ was never WWX's to begin with, was he? Who was LWJ to think he would be enough to make him stay? to make him "come back"?)

"Wei Ying... come back."

But WWX can't let that happen. He can't trust him, can't get too close. To him, he's hurt everyone he's touched. (ok, now we start the gifset references) So, he goes to the point of no return.

And Lan Wangji catches him. He catches his hand with Lan Wangji's wounded arm, literally pouring blood down as he grips onto him (and as @cherryysundae said, blood is slippery as shit. so that's a strong ass grip right there, fighting against both the pain, the weight, and literal fucking physics against him and he still manages. It's taking all he has just to hold WWX there, but he does. And then JC is there, and maybe he'll help; reach down and pull WWX up from the cliff, save his brother, fix what they have left of their grief-ridden family and sect (would anyone else besides the Jiang sect have noticed the change in spirits? When they refused to brutally harm anyone, but not even daring to touch the sect? because "Wei Wuxian hasn't forgotten us!" and then the utter horror when they think he has?)

But instead, LWJ sees that bloody sword, sees it gripped tight, JC's unmoving stance. "Jiang Wanyin! Stop it." The tears in his eyes here, the unspoken 'please stop falling with them, stop pushing him away, stop ignoring everything you've been raised upon and realize that some things need justice and sometimes those things are the systems you've base your life on. Stop grieving what you've lost to the point of blinding you from what you still have.' And JC pauses another moment, so LWJ turns his attention back to WWX --- make sure he's okay, that he's alive, that he's not planning on going anywhere just quite yet, just a moment more please---

And then Jiang Cheng draws his sword back and plunges it into the cliff side. (and now we get into why I specifically love The Untamed's version of this scene, maybe even more than the novel/manhua/donghua versions). Jiang Cheng doesn't stab Wei Wuxian, he hits the rock. He digs into the cliff, makes it unstable, twists his sword just so in a way that would force the loose stones to crumble beneath not just WWX, but also LWJ. And Wei Wuxian sees this, he knows what will happen if Lan Wangji continues to save him here, hold him there against the cliff without the strength to pull him up alone. He's lost everything... he can't lose Lan Zhan just as he starts to realize that maybe he can have him. And he realizes here that Lan Wangji would die for him. He would give up everything, and Wei Wuxian knows what it feels like to have nothing left.

"Do I have any other choice now?"

So he forces himself out of LWJ's grasp, falls into the pit, away from all the pain and nothingness and from Lan Zhan--- who still, even after JYL died and the spirits created a bloodbath and insanity fell upon the crowd in desperation for power of the amulet, still thought Wei Ying was worth saving. To the point that he'd die with him if that's what it took. Or maybe, LWJ doesn't notice the loose rock, doesn't see exactly what JC does with the sword, too focused on making sure WWX just stays right here, stays as safe as he can be. And maybe WWX knows this, knows LWJ won't be prepared for what's to come, knows he won't have the strength to save them both anyways, let alone himself if it came to it. I mean, you can see the moment WWX realizes what could happen: the way he stares at the sword, eyes wide, then in an instant they widen even more and that quick gasp before he wrenches his arm away from LWJ, pain and tears and guilt and fear on his face.

The pure devastation on Lan Wangji's face as he stands there frozen, arm still outstretched, even after JC walks away. He screams, Lan Wangji, Han Guangjun, Second Jade of the Lan Sect screams. I think this might be the most expressive we ever see of LWJ in the series, though he does let down his walls more after the 16 years (for The Untamed) than during their youth, but nothing ever quite like this. not even when faced with the possibility of losing WWX again via JGY (see: the other half of the referenced gifset). I mean, dude is PISSED, tho, absolutely staring daggers at JGY here, but he's calmer. He's grown. He's gotten stronger. And he knows that if it came to it, he would gladly give his life to save his Wei Ying. He's not letting him go again. He's tired of WWX's savior-complex; he loves him for it, but damn it's starting to get on his nerves when WWX keeps pushing LWJ away to save him. Just the:

WWX: "Lan Zhan, you go first to find reinforcements."

LWJ: bitch, who do you take me for?

WWX: my god we're both doomed

JGY and LXC: you're both hopelessly in love, actually, but yeah also doomed.

I just,,, I love wangxian so much, right, and they have so many beautiful moments, but I will never get over the cliff scene. Everyone always talking about what LWJ would do for WWX, I think we need to focus on this scene more and just what WWX gave for LWJ in that he didn't try to break the hold UNTIL he saw that it was going to put LWJ in danger. He would've stayed. He would have come back. But it couldn't happen, not yet, not with everything still in shambles. No, he needed to go --- let fires settle, let systems overturn and stir into a rolling boil, give Jiang Cheng and Jin Ling time to grow together and grieve what they'll never know, give Lan Wangji time to grow as a leader of his sect, have disciples under his command and care, let A-Yuan become Lan Sizhui (fucking "chasing memories" I'm sobbing, LWJ), let people question whether WWX was ever actually wrong to separate from order and protect the Wens. Let Wei Ying come back sixteen years later to face a Lan Zhan who knows how to protect him now and by god will never let him go again. Let Wei Wuxian grow into a person that no longer wants to die; he doesn't fear death, he knows it well -- but he doesn't want to die anymore. For the first time since probably the Cloud Recesses days, he finally has hope, finally joy and love, he has reasons to stay. He won't fear death, he understands it now. But by god he'll rage against it if he can.

"Come back..."

And so, if just to see the ones he loves finally full of joy and not mourning him for another sixteen years, he'll do it. He'll come back.

Hey there, I just wanted to send a quick response to you and the Anon who wondered if Danielle was pressured into posting the Safari video because of the paparazzi photos or something else and I don't think she was. If you look on Kevin's page he does a lot of these "sponsored" trips with this celebrity travel agency where they plan the trip and then he'll post about it and it's free publicity for them. I'm sure Danielle knew this and was on board. And considering that she has her own SM "team" with Maddie, she knows how to play the game of when to post, what to post, etc.

I also wanted to note that I am finding old interviews of Danielle (hey anything to get through this hiatus) and she used to talk about her boyfriend all the time. They were together for like 6 years and even moved to Chicago (for his job because she didn't need to be based in LA when her roles filmed everywhere) but about a year later she booked Station 19. She went back and forth during the 1st season but then whatever long distance happened and they broke up.

I think as with many celebrities that get looked at closer under the microscope they become more private; as a bit unrelated/related example, when Lin-Manuel Miranda was just some Broadway guy he used to share pictures of his older son on SM all the time but when he blew up with Hamilton and more eyes were on him, he stopped showing his face and never showed his other son who was born after Hamilton made him a household name. So Danielle probably hasn't been serious with anyone since that breakup (even asking Stefania on an IG live to teach her how to flirt and be her wing-woman) and especially not with anyone else in the public eye.

Danielle's ex was a random guy and to my knowledge neither of Kevin's ex-wives are in the business (in front of the camera anyway) so this might be the first "celebrity" relationship either of them have been in and so navigating that because they are both so public but also semi-private might take some getting used to. I mean Kevin did PEOPLE magazine photoshoots for his wedding and baby announcements but that was sharing private stuff on his terms and this was the same. They probably went public now since his divorce was finalized last week and it was on their own terms. It seems like Kevin only posts milestones for his kids (birthdays and holidays) and Danielle uses IG to self promote so it will be interesting to see if they do start posting their relationship or if they're just not hiding it anymore but also not flaunting it either.

Thanks for the info! I hadn't really noticed that Kevin did those kinds of post in the past since I never paid attention to him much but it makes sense since a lot of celebs do that now, post the hotels/places they stay at for sponsors and whatever else. Stefania has been doing it during the hiatuses lately too which...good for them, able to travel the world and get paid to sponsor the hotels they stay at 😂 And you're right that it's definitely a different relationship now since both of them are in the spotlight so I'm sure they have to figure out how to navigate that and what to make public and what not...it seems like a lot of stuff Kevin does is picked up by People Mag so that must be his choice and the place he goes to to get stuff out there...I just wish that Danielle wasn't already getting degraded as just his girlfriend since she's obviously much more than that. He's not the only 'star' in the relationship but I guess tabloids are gonna do what they do. I feel like now they're just not hiding it anymore and will just post when they want to like after trips they go on or milestones and stuff but I guess we'll see. I just hope it doesn't end up being this whole big dramatic thing every time they do and this fandom just leaves it alone. Some people really need to realize that they don't need to have an input/opinion on every single thing and make it public good or bad. Things just end up spiraling out of control that way one way or the other.

Oh, no worries! I don't mind spoilers at all! (Kinda spoiled myself wogwjwhwjw) So, drop tat bomb!

Well okay then! As you wish 😌

Now strap in because this is gonna be a long and wild ride through season 3 baby! And Adrian starts out pretty tame and things ramp up as the season goes so get that seat belt ready! And I'm more of an expert on the dub so we're gonna focus on that, but I'll be poking in with a couple details from the sub ever so often too.

Extremely long post ahead y'all aksskskks

Now it all starts at the very beginning of the season. We'll get into his like back story back story later, but Adrian is a student from East Academy who comes to Duel Academy along with Jesse, Axel, and Jim and his crocodile Shirley at the start of the season as exchange students along with visiting professor Thelonious Viper from West Academy.

Now I break season 3 up into 3 separate arcs because well, that's kinda how it is. There's the Survival Duel arc, (the as I call it) Zombie Apocalypse Survival Horror arc, and of course, the Dark World arc.

Viper is the villain of the Survival Duel arc, and he's up to shady shit of course. But Adrian is the secondary antagonist for the entire season. Adrian is trying to figure out what Viper's plan is and what he's up to, but he's also trying to obtain Yubel's power, aware that Viper is in league with her. (In the dub he says he's searching for a card, but nothing really comes of that. Except you can argue for something in the zombie apocalypse arc but we're not there yet so hang on lol)(also it's really only the dub that refers to Yubel as a girl, the Japanese version Yubel is non binary I believe, but I watched the dub first so Yubel is ingrained in my brain as she/her and I'm trying to break that habit so we'll see how I do throughout this aksksksksk)

So Viper introduces the survival duels as he calls them, and has all the students wear boo bands, which he says are to monitor their dueling skills and potential and all that, but of course they're nefarious. He uses them to drain the students of their duel energy which is then absorbed by Yubel to give them the power and energy to restore their physical form, but Viper believes the energy will be used to revive his son who passed away because Yubel promised him that if he helped her that she would bring his son back to life. Adrian doesn't take part so Viper confronts him and warns him he'd better participate, Viper then raises the absorption rate of the bio bands to the max, which is strong enough to kill, so he can get rid of Adrian. So Adrian, knowing this, throws this party so a bunch of students will be dueling at once so that Viper has to turn the bio bands down so he'll like, survive.

So he throws a whole bunch of students to the wolves to ensure his own wellbeing, and he ends up dueling Chazz that night, ultimately winning the duel but since the bio bands weren't deactivated just weakened, they get their energy zapped and Chazz is in the hospital for the rest of the arc, but Adrian is able to recover and resume his mission. This is when like I mentioned, he points the J-Squad in Viper's direction. He sends them to Viper's secret fortress in the old research facility (y’know the one where Wheeler the monkey came from in season 1?) To act as decoys so and take Viper's attention so he can sneak in undetected and get into Viper's like inner sanctum moment he's got set up in there. He confronts Viper and they like actually throw hands which is kinda hilarious because for some reason they decide to do this shirtless it's like full street fighter type bullshit lolol

Adrian is apprehended by Yubel's power, and Viper goes to duel Jaden. This is where we get his like full backstory which we got a taste of during his duel with Chazz.

So as a kid Adrian was adopted by the head of the Gecko Financial Group and raised then to be the heir and inherit the company, and he's basically appointed this girl named Echo to be his friend, but of course she works for him and all that y’know. Remember her because she's important later. Eventually, Mrs. Gecko has a son, and Adrian falls to the wayside in favor of the "proper heir" to the family, and he's angry and bitter about it but commits to serving his brother and their family anyway (though in the Japanese version Adrian contemplated killing him at first 😬), and even saved him from a deadly sickness at one point. All in the hopes of getting attention for their father again kinda sorta basically. He's really only loyal to himself in the end.

Eventually he breaks free from Yubel and escapes but this is when Yubel steps in after Viper loses to Jaden, kills Viper, and then transports the school to another dimension. Thus we enter the Zombie Apocalypse Survival Horror arc.

I have a whole thing about this arc and how if you take Blair's part and switch her with Atticus it would elevate the arc by like 30 points and it's already one of my favorite arcs in the show but I digress that's not what we're talking about rn aksksk

So the school gets transported to this alternate like desert dimension where duel monsters are real and so are the life points baby! And the school has extremely limited supplies, like only a weeks worth of food, and a whole lot of students stuck there too so things are pretty dire. Yubel is also lurking around.

So things get set in motion here when Bastion appears! He got stuck in this dimension some time during the interim between this point and back in episode 96 after he left to go work with professor eisenstien. He's attacked by some harpies and Jaden, Jesse, Jim, Axel, and Adrian step in to save him, since Adrian is still pretending to be on their side. So they get Bastion to the nurse's office because he's been out in that desert for a while, he needs to rest and recoup fr but they get details from Bastion about the dimension and then the shit goes down because Yubel is looking for a vessel to possess as they don't yet have a physical form, and so targets Marcel, Bonaparte's son (except nobody knows he's his son but they're not very subtle about it so we the audience know lolol). So when Blair, who is good friends with Marcel, has him come with her a la buddy system because she has to go to the bathroom but they're hiding out in the classrooms because of the real duel monsters and all that, Yubel attacks and takes over Marcel, but injures Blair in the process.

So Jaden and Jesse find Blair and take her to Ms. Fontaine, and of course the medicine she needs to help Blair, she doesn't have. So they need to make a run out to this submarine out in the desert to search for a first aid kit and any other supplies they can find. Adrian suspects that this submarine is a Gecko vessel, because well it is, and voulenteers to go with the team so that he can go and cover his tracks so that no one finds out about his mission and motives. They split up into teams, Jaden, Jesse, Jim, Axel, and Adrian head off to search the submarine while the others stay back to guard the school. And while they're on their way during a confrontation with some monsters summoned by Yubel to bar their path, Jaden falls into like honestly an equivalent of a fucking Sarlac pit and while Axel goes in to save him and pull him out while Jesse's fending off a monster, Adrian is holding the rope to pull them out. He is literally 🤏 this close to letting go and letting both Jaden and Axel get fucking eaten and like die so they won't get in his way anymore but Jim steps in just in time and grabs ahold of the rope as well, saying "almost lost your grip, mate." With an extremely suspicious and almost warning tone. Because Jim can tell he's up to something because the eye of oricalchum that he has allows him to see into people's hearts and souls, basically showing him a person's true intentions. So he knows Adrian isn't exactly on the up and up at this point.

Once they get to the sub, they split off to search for supplies. Adrian heads off to the computer room to erase any files that have anything to do with him so no one can find out about him and his plans, which was the only reason he came with the group despite his insistence that it was to repay them for saving him when he helped them retrieve Bastion. And of course then when they regroup he's just like "sorry guys, didn't find anything 🤪 computer was fried so no intel for us 🤪" like the lying bitch he is.

So okay they escape the sub, and make it back to the school but while they were gone Yubel really fucked shit up by causing the bio bands to turn the students into zombies, or rather "Duel Ghouls", when they get enough energy zapped and the students start dropping like flies. By the time the group makes it back, Chazz and Syrus have already been turned into duel ghouls and it only keeps getting worse.

And by this point Adrian then discovers Yubel having possessed Marcel after having taken Yubel's arm and hid it in the library earlier, having joined up with her. And he's bitter over Yubel choosing Marcel over him, and it's revealed that the Sacred Beast cards are also in this dimension, having been sealed away beneath the school again after season 1. Adrian is hellbent on obtaining more and more power and like, basically ruling these alternate dimensions with them, so he pursues the cards just like everybody else. He duels Marcel over who will get the cards, but the Sacred Beasts awaken during the duel and so there's no true result.

All the while back in the real world, Pegasus is trying to create the Rainbow Dragon card as they need to transport it to the other dimension so that Jesse can then use it's power to open the portal for them to return the school and themselves back home. But Echo is trying to stop him, claiming that Adrian shouldn't come back because he deserves to rule the other dimension basically. She's so loyal to him and so convinced he's as incredible and powerful and just amazing as he also thinks he is, that she's willing to go along with his plans at any cost despite the fact that as it's revealed later, she's in love with him. Remember this for later...

Okay so Yubel obtains the cards and her own physical form again and duels Jaden after Jaden duels and defeats Marcel, and Jesse obtains the Rainbiw Dragon and joins the duel and with the power of Rainbow Dragon, they defeat Yubel and are transported back home but Jesse has to stay behind to keep the portal open.

Thus we enter the Dark World arc after blaming himself for Jesse being trapped, Jaden is in a rush to go through a dimensional tear that appears to try and find him, joined by the whole squad, and there's a whole chaos control moment that sends them all as well as Crowler, Echo, Zane, and Aster who were in the area at the time, to Dark World.

Now Adrian doesn't appear again until the end so we're gonna jump ahead. But some important context before we continue!

Dark World is basically a "you die in the game, you die in real life" situation. Because when you lose a duel there, you die. Sort of. You disappear, and in the dub they call it being sent to the stars, but in the sub they say everyone's dead even though it's revealed at the very end that they're really not, but it's just easiest to say they are. So they're dead. And so Jaden, learning this, refuses to let anybody other than himself duel to keep everyone safe but also because he's so hellbent on finding Jesse he really is just trying to charge through things and isn't being very careful or thinking things through.

Also Tania is back!! Love that for Bastion!!

Because of this, eventually Alexis, Atticus, Chazz, and Hassleberry are captured and held prisoner by Brron Mad King of Dark World to be used as sacrifices for Super Polymerization. There are actually 5 sacrifices required, but his goons fail to capture Syrus so they only have 4. This is important but we're not talking about that stuff rn. But the 5 of them are embodiments of emotions that are needed for this. Alexis (sadness), Atticus (anguish), Chazz (anger), Hassleberry (hatred), and Syrus (doubt). After Chazz gets angry af and gives Jaden the business, he's the first to go and is absorbed by this book, and Jaden is told if he attacks, his remaining friends will be sacrified as well. He's going to surrender but is forced to attack and so the remaining 3 are sacrificed as well. Also during this duel Jaden is basically told Jesse is dead which then after the deaths of the 4 of them as well, Jaden just kinda loses it and fucks Brron right up and wins the duel. He then learns Syrus is safe and is mega relieved, but Syrus is less than thrilled with what he just witnessed and he and Jaden have kinda a falling out, which is really the last straw for Jaden emotionally and he's then taken over by the spirit of the Supreme King.

Jim, Axel, and Syrus end up separated and while Jim and Axel are searching for Jaden, they learn about the Supreme King, then find out that it's really Jaden, Jim gives the backstory about his eye, duels Supreme King to try and save Jaden, gets literally 🤏 this close but is defeated and fails and dies along with Shirley who jumped into the duel to try and protect Jim from the final attack. Axel is horribly shaken by this and gives in to his fear and runs away and is haunted by Jim's death, and it takes Syrus and some other shit to convince him that he really is brave and is a hero and he can do this! He can help! So he organizes a whole attack on the Supreme King's fortress to save Jaden, even covering the tracks of making sure that Jesse is searched for and the information comes to him at the perfect time that Jesse is alive. Axel, Syrus, and also Aster and Zane go to the fortress and Axel duels Supreme King, and ultimately causes the duel to end in a draw and having both gotten through to Jaden by telling him Jesse was alive and by using the eye of orichachum left behind in the wake of Jim's death, Supreme King is sealed away inside Jaden but Axel is sent to the stars. This leads us to the next Adrian plot. And the worst most disgusting thing anyone in that whole show does.

Wondering what to do next and waiting for Jaden to recover, the group is reunited with Crowler, and then subsequently meets Echo, who's been with Crowler all this time. Aster discovers a locket on the ground and after examining it, comes to the conclusion it's Echo's based on the photo of Adrian inside. Aster kinda teases her lighthearted about it and after coming to the conclusion he doesn't know how she feels, Echo says that she could never tell him and doesn't want Adrian to know because he "doesn't need another distraction." As she truly believes he is destined to rule this world and wants him to become king, and doesn't want to hold him back with her feelings. As she truly believes he always puts others before himself, and says she would do anything to see him fulfil his destiny. She even calls Adrian their "better", claiming he is stronger, smarter, and kinder than any of them.

Adrian at this point, has obtained the 5 pieces of Exodia, which had been being used previously by Marcel while he was under Yubel's control, and is attempting to unlock the seal on Exodia so that he can gain the power to rule Dark World, resolving to do so he must become completely ruthless and allow nothing to stand in his desire to rule the world. But to break the seal, someone has to offer up their duel energy willingly. But who could he find who would do that for him.....? And so he sets his sights on Echo. Knowing that her loyalty and feelings for him will allow him to convince her to offer herself up to Exodia.

So the group gets transported to the cave where Exodia's seal is, and when Adrian reveals himself, everyone is on edge. He reveals that he chose to stay behind having not come back with them from the first dimension, and Jaden realizes that he's now in league with Yubel, having the creepy Yubel arm that Viper and Marcel had when under Yubel's power. He covers it before Echo can see, and smiles at her. Claiming it's good to see her. She's unnerved and takes a step back, but he just smiles darkly and comes forward, telling her to come with him and grabs her arm. She says he's scaring her and she doesn't want to go with him, but he insists. Saying "that wasn’t a request!" And kinda forcefully pulls her forward.

Aster is angered by this and steps up, demanding Adrian leave her alone. Adrian warns him to stay out of this, saying that this is between him and Echo but Aster won't back down, saying it's not anymore and again to leave her alone. "Didn't you hear what she just said? She doesn't wanna go anywhere with you!"

To which Adrian turns to Echo all "is that so?" Then just goes right to town with his manipulation.

"Don't you want the best for me, Echo? I can't do it alone. Without you, I can't achieve greatness." All the while smiling at her. "I need you. Won't you help?" And tells her that I'm order to be king, he needs her duel energy, knowing full well that if he tells her it'll help him, she'll do it. Aster challenges Adrian to a duel to defend Echo and thus they duel before Exodia's seal.

During the duel, Adrian activates the Ritual of The Ultimate Forbidden Lord spell card to unlock the seal, and claims that to break Exodia's seal, he must sacrifice the duel energy of someone close to him. Telling Echo that he can't do this without her. He of course, has her wrapped around his finger and he knows it, so she's cooperating. Aster objects, and even Mr. Edgelord Supreme himself, Zane, admits that he'd do anything to win a duel but he'd never cross this line. Aster begs her to stop because Adrian is just using her, but her devotion to Adrian gets the best of her and she steps into the light.

Aster's furious with Adrian, and we get a whole "how could you do this to her??" Moment because Adrian fully knows that doing this will kill her. And we get a line that goes SO fucking hard from Aster: "You may never see her again! And the only things you're gonna have left, will be her memory and Exodia! Is it really worth all that?? Is it!?"

BRO THAT SHIT GOES S O HARD IN THE EPISODE LIKE FUCK DUDE!!

Echo has a little thought bubble where she claims that she knows by her doing this, Adrian will achieve the power he deserves, and is scooped up by Exodia and like, it hurts her. She's actually screaming for real, like she screams in the backgrounda couples times throughout the rest of this. It's harrowing. Adrian of course doesn't give a FUCK and when Aster tries to stop the duel Adrian's like "heh, nah 🤪" and continues on with the duel, draining Echo's duel energy more and more.

Aster keeps demanding Adrian let Echo go, but Adrian only says that her duel energy now belongs to Exodia, and that nothing will stop him from ruling this world! Jaden declares that Adrian had been taken over by darkness like he was, only caring about power and not at all who he has to hurt to get it. But Adrian claims that he was always like this and is just finally showing his true colors. Who he really is.

And so we get another BANGER of a line from Aster.

"Is that right? Did Echo know who you really were? Or did she do all this for the person she thought you were!?"

Adrian literally says nothing, and then tells Aster not to feel sorry for her because she knew he had to let this side out to fulfil his destiny.

The duel continues and Echo's duel energy is ultimately spent. She drops her pendant with Adrian's picture in it, and Aster is upset by this. Basically her spirit appears to him and apologizes for him being caught up in this, telling him that all she wanted was to prove to Adrian she'd do anything for him. Telling him also that despite everything that's happened here, it's all for the best. And after he asks her how she can say that after what Adrian did to her, she disappears, and she dies. Like straight up dead. Actually for real dead. Adrian literally killed her for Exodia.

And so Adrian summons Exodia, defeating Aster who implores the others escape before it's too late, telling Jaden when he object that it's too late for him now. So the escape and Aster is now fake dead while Echo is real dead, and Adrian rides off on Exodia entirely unbothered by any of that shit because he's the actual worst ever.

Adrian then goes to challenge Yubel, who is now possessing Jesse, so he can rule the world since having Exodia makes him powerful enough to stand against them. Yubel mocks Adrian by telling him that he'll be all alone because the only person who ever cared about him is gone, and further mocks him when he says Echo is still with him because of her memory, claiming that from experience Yubel can confidently say Echo would rather be by his side. Echo's spirit however, still watches over Adrian as she's loyal to him even in death, and Yubel realizes the darkness she needs isn't in Adrian, it's in Echo, her spirit having combined with his deck after he sacrificed her duel energy. Yubel takes Echo's lingering darkness and uses it to restore their power and ultimately defeats Adrian. But before he dies, Adrian cries out that he's sorry to Echo, but it's too late. And he's also straight up for real dead. Which he fucking deserves that piece of shit.

(Also in the Japanese version he just calls out her name before he dies.)

And oh lord, that took forever but this is the tea on Adrian. He's the worst. He's kinda a regular by the numbers secondary antagonist at first, but the shit he does to Echo is just the most disgusting thing. Truly the worst thing anyone does in GX in my opinion. He's horrible and deserves everything he gets. Which is death. He and Echo are the only 2 that for real die in Dark World, almost in the whole season but Yubel kills Viper earlier so y'know. I may be a bit biased because I hate his fucking guts, as do we all in my personal experience, but Adrian deserves it.

A truly despicable human being.

How do you think Mike is gonna take the news of Will's coma? What do you think it'll be his reaction when it happens, during those two years and when Will wakes up?

Ciao, anon. I'm working on my theory on S5, and Mike's arc and reaction to Will's coma is a big part of it. First of all, I think they'll resolve the whole triangle thing pretty soon. Mike and El will probably break up, and stay friends, in ep 1 or 2. Or maybe I'm wrong and it happens during the time skip (would be easier if it happens before, but we'll see!) Anyway, with the chaos in Hawkins, I doubt there'll be time for Mike and Will to really talk. Or for Mike to fully realise what he feels. Maybe he'll try, but they'll get interrupted by the most shocking event. The coma.

If Will really falls into a coma after closing the gates, Mike's first reaction will be total shock. He'll be so scared for Will, and feel lost. Even if El can see Will in the void and realises that he's reliving his memories like she did in Nevada, and tells Mike that he is strong and will wake up. It's just hard for Mike not being able to help him.

And since they couldn't film S4 and S5 back to back, they need a long time skip, so yes, the coma will probably last years. And that will deeply affect everybody. So, a solution could be a bridge episode to actually show those years. I'd say Will collapsing as a cliffhanger at the end of ep 2, and ep 3 as a bridge episode. I really hope they do that! If I'm right, we may see scenes of Mike visiting Will, talking to him, and asking him to wake up because they all miss him so much. HE misses him so much, and life is not the same without him. And maybe... he will read him a letter. Or letterS. Maybe he writes them while Will is in his coma, or they are the letters he wrote between S3 and S4 but was too insecure to send, because he didn't even know if Will cared about him anymore. Doing that, will help Mike to finally admit what he feels for his best friend.

In those years, I think we'll also see him and El becoming good friends, Byler and Lumax parallels, and Mike and Lucas supporting each other. And we'll see Mike grow, and realise that he is indeed a smart leader. The heart of the party. They're really gonna need a good leader, because closing the gates is just a way to buy time. Vecna is still alive. Spores are gonna be everywhere, possibly infecting people. Plus, Colonel Sullivan still wants El dead, and a lot of people think that Eddie and his friends are evil. With journalists talking about curses, plus the satanic panic, I think we could even see the rise of a cult in S5, that sees our heroes as the villains (this is so Stephen King). So, while Will sleeps and relives the scariest days of his life in UD Hawkins, Mike and the others will have to deal with just as a scary Hawkins in our world.

This is one more reason the van scene is so important for Mike's development . Imo, they made Will say those things also because he won't be around for a long time, and without him, Mike will think about his words, and realise that he can be what Will told him he is.

There's a little problem tho. Vecna. I 100% believe that Mike gets vecna'd in S5. Vecna knows all too well he is important to Will (and El and Nancy, too). And that he ruined his plans too many times. Killing Mike would break Will and make it easier to reclaim him. I even read a theory that Vecna waited until Mike left Hawkins in S4 to start killing the kids, but I'm not sure about that. The explanation could be that he needed to plan every move, and how to use El's power to make it impossible for her to close the gates again (he doesn't think Will can help, since his powers are blocked). And that takes time.

But I don't know when he's going to target Mike. Maybe at the beginning of the season? So that's how they realise Will is Vecna's target, that he has powers etc? Or Vecna is still too weak, so he doesn't attack Mike, or Will in his coma, and he targets them when Will wakes up, so that's when Mike realises what he feels for him? Hm. I don't know. But one thing I'm sure of is that S5 will be Mike's best season. I can't wait!

Additional info about the AU characters!!!

Binx was once part of a large and loving family. Once. Financial hard times meant her family couldn't afford to live in their big house, and she moved to Bloom City to make more money and send it back to them. The wifi and service is terrible where their family lives so they can barely call them, but they swear one day they're gonna come back home

Andhera grew up in an extremely wealthy, extremely abusive home, and is still working out what was and wasn't normal. He's pretty sure them trying to train him like a dog by giving him candy when he was quiet all day and screaming at him when he wasn't (how ironic) isn't. They're also trying to work out whether Binx is their friend- they've never had one before, see. (At some point a family member comes to "collect" him and faces all of Andhera's new good friends who are VERY mad at them).

Hob grew up in a foster home. He was the oldest and kind of in charge, but also a pushover. The kids used that to get basically whatever they wanted. He joined military training when he turned 16, but purposefully failed out when he realized he could never kill someone. Now he works as a security guard.

Rue is a party planner of moderate fame and very good repute who only works through the phone. They show up to their own parties in disguise, so nobody knows the big guy with the feather in their hair is actually the distinguished Delloso de la Rue who planned the whole thing.

Chirp and Squak, much like Andhera, came from an abusive home. Unlike him, they weren't so lucky as to fully escape. Instead, their Grandfather is trying to make sure they can survive in the Real World before he'll consider putting them in his will. They are literally reveling in being able to party whenever they want.

OUGHGA THIS SECOND HALF IS SO HEARTBREAKING !!! i am cradling the pack of pixies in my hands. im loving how so much of this AU reflects the canon like hobs inability to hurt without reason/rue in hiding/binxs family elsewhere or 'gone' as heartbreaking as all those things are hgfnghfn

astrid/zara

the first time astrid had a vision that they were able to prevent involving zara was actually in person. they just happened to be at the store (definitely not trying to figure out if it would come true or not) and ran into zara at the exact moment where they could pull her away from the falling sign

because zara is a celebrity, once they do start going out, they agree to try to hide astrid's identity for a little while so they can have privacy. they both blow it pretty much immediately though

chan yeol/jae

there's one (1) girl jae thinks is good enough for chan yeol of the ones he is forced to go on dates with, but it turns out she's not interested either and jae finds that Proof in some way

once he's comfortable/secure that he's not gonna get fired, jae starts slipping little meetings or briefings into yeol's schedule with people who could actually improve the world in hopes that yeol accidentally greenlights one of their ideas without knowing he's been set up

charlotte/victoria

after the wedding, victoria lingers back home/near charlotte for an extra week before going back to california because she's not ready to face her real life yet

when they dated the first time around, they used to go to really pretentious museums and stuff like that because they both thought the other one liked it, oops

their original plan/contract includes a breakup date

Haikyuu manager headcanons!!

Okay so these adorable teams all have the softest spot for their tiny little manager-chan, and here's how they all treat her.

[Ari's note: okay manager fics and headcanons are my absolute favourite and I love writing them]

*.` | Karasuno

They are extremely laid back with you, compared to some of the other teams. They give you your space, at the same time listen to you when you have something to say.

Respectful simps. Similar to how they act with Kiyoko (ugh yes queen-chan) they're in tears whenever you do things to motivate them, like cheer at their practice matches or give them good luck charms.

They still have the good luck charms you fastened on their bag before one of the matches.

Tanaka and Noya would literally worship the ground which you walked on. Like wow how did they get so lucky as to have three?? Cute managers?? On their team??

Yachi and you would probably subtly simp over Kiyoko with them too ngl.

Hinata and Kags would probably see you as an older sister, eventho you're their age because you're so caring and responsible.

Suga is literally your mom and Daichi is your dad. They make sure you're all healthy and you're doing well in school.

Asahi gives you hugs whenever you're sad or upset! Fite me but I think this gentle baby gives the best hugs ever >:( he's like your comfort senpai and you'd do the same for him, especially when he's feeling insecure or down.

Yams would probably be very shy around you, but he'll warm up in time.

Ahhh the best part. Tsukki! He'd find you annoying and simply not get why you're so Mcfreaking happy at first (shut up u salty beanpole, manager-chan is just a ray of sunshine, okay?) But he soon finds it endearing and slowly gets closer to you.

You walk home with Yams and Tsukki every day since your houses are close, and Tsukki walks you to your door to make sure you're safe!

Ennoshita, Kinoshita and Narita all see you as a little sister and often help you with your managerial duties.

The team cares and respects you so much, and are so thankful you've joined them!!

Meat buns at Ukai's are your hangout spot, and everytime you see them chilling you're so thankful to have such great friends.

Oikawa absolutely adores manager-chan because although she's tiny, she's very strict, and doesn't let his fangirls near the gym when he's practicing, which he appreciates.

"yn-chan, you're so good to me, can I take you out as a thank-you?" Cue Iwa-chan's ball which comes flying at Oikawa's head. "Stop flirting with the manager, shitty-kawa"

Iwa's very fond of you too, but he doesn't let it show too often. Sometimes he picks up your favourite coffee from the vending machine and claims that he bought it by "accident". (How believable<3)

Kunimi probably sends you weird tiktok videos and tags you in funny memes. Very wholesome 10/10.

Kyotani just?? Doesn't understand you?? Like wow, she's small but the team listens to her?? Why?? He later finds out you're the manager. Mad dork here didn't know you were managing the team for the past month, and thought you just came to the gym to watch them practice. Smh.

Matsukawa and Hanamaki give you headpats and like taking selfies with you, much to Oikawa's dismay. He wants to be the only one taking pictures with you.

Like no manager-chan. Stop. Get away from them. My phone's right here I wanna take selfies with you :(

Kindaichi is cool with you. Y'all are bros and you game together sometimes.

Watari and Yahaba join too, and they're surprised to know that you're so aggressive when you game.

Cue a jealous Oikawa who struggles learning how to game just so he's invited to play with you. Simp smh.

They're all very gentle with you, and since you're their first female manager, they make sure to never make you feel uncomfortable.

You guys like grabbing ramen together and having eating contests. They really bring out your aggressive side but you love them for it.

Goshiki loves you. You're fond of your kohāi, and you genuinely just give this touch-starved future ace a lot of hugs and cuddles, which he's SO grateful for.

Goshiki is just so protective of you, he'd commit murder if he had to.

You have to earn Ushiwaka's respect, yk? And slowly but surely he comes to realise how dependable and responsible you are, and treats you like an indispensable member of the team.

He's got your back. And if he ever senses you're upset, he's trying to cheer you up as best as he can.

First thing's first, besides Akaashi, you are the only other person who can cheer up an emo-mood Bokuto.

Akaashi thinks you are an angel sent from heaven.

You're very soft on your baby owls, and they genuinely just love getting positive affirmations from you.

Although Fukunaga is shy to tell jokes, he tells them to you, because he knows you'd never judge him, and you actually kinda enjoy laughing along :) he's so touched.

Momma Yaku!! Yaku always lends you his jacket and makes sure to carry snacks for you in his bag. He knows you care so much about the team that you often neglect your own health, which is why he's always there to make you're feeling healthy and good.

Kai and Teshiro help you with your homework and like talking about their favourite singers with you.

They're all just such amazing human beings who treat you so well, and you feel so blessed to be a part of their team. You adore them so much, and they adore you back tenfold.

The twins are your bodyguards, they follow you everywhere and protect you all the time.

Enter Suna Rintaro, your meme king. He definitely records funny moments that happen during practice and send them to you, just to make you laugh, or memes of the members.

He also definitely takes pictures of you when you aren't noticing, simply because he likes the way your hair looked, or because you looked so beautiful.

Like the twins, his eyes widen whenever you kiss his cheek or ruffle his hair, and it's literally like suna.exc has stopped functioning.

Congrats manager-chan, you broke the kid -.-

Omimi might come across as stoic and cold but he's actually a huge softie, and you often give him positive affirmations.

He's also definitely a huge lover of your hugs, and looks forward to them as motivation to play well.

He'd never tell you though, he's shy™.

Ginjima is usually rash but with you, he takes his time and weighs everything he says.

He doesn't wanna accidentally hurt you and regret it since he was being careless and not thinking at all.

You calm him down when he's getting too hotheaded with gentle words and he's suddenly a blushing mess.

Unlike some of the other teams that tease you a bunch, Inarizaki treats you so gently. Their little princess, as they think of you.

So mf-ing protective, like if someone looks at you wrong, you can totally bet Atsumu's going for their ankles, sangwoo style, or Osamu is trash talking them to their knees.

Would drop anything and everything to help you if ever needed.

They think you're they're entire world because you go above and beyond for them, and they genuinely love you. Like actually LOVE you to bits and pieces.

My mom and I have a bet going. She thinks that the Gonad Lump is only pretending to run for president in 2024 and will bow out of the race before the primaries, and I think she's out of her mind if she thinks he's gonna concede apropos of nothing; he's too addicted to power, he misses being a godking emperor, there's no way in hell he's gonna choose to retire and let some other nutjob take up the mantle as Fuhrer. He's too proud, he'd never willingly step out of the limelight, and he hates anyone who would dare try to usurp him. He is the one and only face of the Republican Party, and he'll be milking that fact for the rest of his life.

But she made a good point that had me reconsider some things. The Lump recently sold his Washington DC hotel, the Old Post Office and Clock Tower, which he used to embezzle millions of dollars from foreign ambassadors. He gave special preference to emissaries, politicians and world leaders who stayed there and padded his wallet; quid pro quo, pay-to-win, bribery so blatant that I was SHOCKED to hear he was willing to give it up. If he became president again, he wouldn't be able to profit off visiting dignitaries, which would defeat the whole purpose of his presidency; that's kind of his entire schtick. If he can't make money doing something, he straight up doesn't want to do it. That's the only motivation he's ever had in his life, and the fact that he gave up his money laundering front is a sign that he may just be going through the motions in 2024 before he cuts and runs.

The Supreme Court just made bribery legal in their Ted Cruz case. Politicians are allowed now to pay off their private debts with secret campaign donations, and the Lump has a lot of legal fees to pay, so he may just be using his 2024 campaign as a slush fund. He'll nickel and dime his maga sheeple for all they're worth; they don't want to pay taxes but will gladly give him a big chunk of their paychecks because they worship at his feet. It's like church offerings to them. He's a cult leader fleecing his followers, stringing them along, "just a little more money, and I can make American great again again! Just a few more bucks and we can drain the swamp! If you increase your recurring donation, I'll send you a form letter with a copy of my signature on it!" It's sad.

We'll know for sure whether he's running or not based on what the megadonors do. They can see through him, he's their little pawn, so they're not gonna give him hundreds of millions of dollars if they know he's gonna fart it away on legal fees with no real desire to take back the White House. He's an investment to them, they only like him so long as he gives them what they want, and if he's planning on bowing out of the race then they're not gonna waste their bribes - excuse me, I mean "donations" - on a scammer when there are plenty of Lump knockoffs waiting in the wings. If they can't have the shark, they'll go for the suckerfish clinging to his belly; DeSantis, Cruz, Gaetz, Boebert, any of the other ambitious sycophants, you name em. They have nothing original to say, they're all just competing with each other to see who can acy the most like the Lump. They're cover artists. They're Elvis impersonators. They would put on orange face paint, bad wigs and fat suits if they thought it would further their careers. It's a race to the bottom, they want to see who can be the most offensive and cruel as possible. If the Lump doesn't run, they'll all be vying for his endorsement, so keep an eye on their behavior. Like the megadonors, if they think he's not running they'll ramp up their own activity (they would never run against him, so if they run at all it means he's out). They'll keep it on the downlow until he formally declines to run, but there will be chatter behind the scenes; they'll show their hands sometime next year.

My mom thinks he's gonna make it look like he's running all the way until January or February 2024, snd then find some excuse to drop out before the primaries; maybe some health scandal or a death in the family (he can make it happen; sorry Tiffany, but you're expendable). I figure that if he's going through all the trouble to keep up appearances for his donors then he's probably gonna see it through to November. In 2016 he didn't expect to win but he followed through on the grift anyway; maybe it was an act, maybe his heart wasn't in it, but that didn't mean he didn't want it. If he pretends to run, he could very easily convince himself to actually run. It's all keyfabe, so why would he break character midway through?

$200 says he's gonna run and win the Republican nomination in 2024. That feels like the safest bet I've ever made, but I'd pay ten times that amount to be wrong. I WANT to be wrong. I want him to suffer a debilitating stroke and be a bedridden vegetable for the rest of his miserable life, which would be very short because his family wouldn't want to waste money keeping him on life support. It'll never happen though. Both of his parents lived to be 90, so we're stuck with him until the mid-2030s at the earliest, save for some unforseen "national tragedy." On an unrelated note, next year is the 60th anniversary of Lyndon B. Johnson becoming president. Isn't history fascinating?
