Summary: Almost the entire hero community know each other's identities. The only group that remains a mystery are the bats. Most know that they're based out of Gotham and they're a team. That's about it - Clark wants the team to play a game for a team bonding exercise, Hal choses FMK, and Batman hates everything.
Clark had been insisting that they needed to do some ‘team bonding’. A waste of time if you asked Bruce, but of course, no one asked him. The founding members of the team sat around the table. No one had a mask on except for Batman, who still hadn’t revealed his identity to anyone.
“So I was thinking, we could do a game or something. You know, one of those where we go around, answering questions or something like that,” Clark sat at the head of the table, smiling at everyone. The grin on Hal’s face could mean nothing good as he leaned against the table, “Let’s play Fuck, Marry, Kill.”
"Excuse me?” Clark frowned, looking confused. Snorting, Oliver said, “What? Are we in middle school?” ”Come on, it’ll be fun.” Barry seems to agree with Hal, wanting to play the game. “I do not understand, what is the premise of this game?” J’onn asked. “So someone will say three names, and everyone will go around the room, saying which of the three people they’d fuck, who they’d marry, and who they’d kill.” “But what if I do not want to kill anyone?” ”Don’t worry J’onn, you don’t have to do anything with the people, it’s fake, just a fun game.”
To Bruce’s horror, everyone seemed to agree to play the game. Pushing against the table he stood up. He will not sit through this. “Batman, this is mandatory for the team,” Clark stopped him. Bruce reminded himself that they were allies. His children wanted him to make friends with the Justice League members. They seemed to think he had no friends. He grunted as he sat back down.
“So we do this with random people?” Diana questioned, seeming into the idea of the game. “Yeah, but I think we should do famous people,” Hal looked very pleased with himself. “Ok, first let’s start off easy. Chris Evans, Jennifer Lawrence and Idris Elba.” ”Oh fuck Idris Elba. Without a doubt.” Dinah said quickly, no hesitation in her voice. “Then marry Chris Evans and I guess I’d have to kill Jennifer Lawrence.” “Gonna have to agree with you on that one, pretty bird,” Oliver nodded his head, a light smile on his face. Clark seemed to really be thinking about it, “If I’d have to, I guess I’d have sex with Chris Evans, marry Idris Elba, and yeah, kill Jennifer Lawrence. So sorry to her.”
“I’m not familiar with those people, could I see a photo of them?” Barry quickly pulled out his phone, searching up each person and showing Diana the photos. “I would fuck this Idris Elba, marry Jennifer Lawrence and kill Chris Evans.” Barry spoke next, “Yeah, I’m going to go with Dinah’s one. Fuck Idris Elba, marry Chris Evans and kill Jennifer Lawrence.” Hal still had that stupid grin on his face, “Fuck Jennifer Lawrence, marry Idris Elba and kill Chris Evans. What about you spooky? Who’d you fuck?” ”I am not playing this juvenile game. I will stay for the team bonding but do not expect me to partake.” Bruce knew way too many celebrities to join in on this game. He was friends with so many of them. So was Oliver, how could he do it?
Barry had a thought that instantly brought a smile to his face, “Ok, billionaire edition. Lex Luthor, Pavel Durov and Bruce Wayne. For me, I’d definitely marry Bruce Wayne. He is so fine and it can’t hurt to be with someone that rich. Kill Lex Luthor without a doubt and fuck Pavel I guess.” Could Bruce call Jason to come and shoot him? Maybe Oliver would stab him if he asked nicely. Diana nodded in agreement, “Bruce Wayne is an attractive man. I would marry him too, fuck this Pavel Durov and kill Luthor.” Maybe Bruce could break one of the windows and jump out. The emptiness of space would be better than this conversation.
“I have done a few interviews with Bruce, he is a good man. His looks are quite impressive and he is one of the richest men on the planet. He uses his money for good, I’d definitely marry him. Um, I do not know much about Pavel Durov, and definitely kill Lex.” Clark seems to have put thought into his answer. Bruce would rather be fighting all of his rogues simultaneously than being a part of this conversation. J’onn spoke, “Yes, I have heard of Bruce Wayne. He is quite an honourable man. I too would marry him, and kill Lex Luthor.” When Oliver started speaking, Bruce rolled his eyes behind his mask. “Brucie is a friend, we’ve known each other since we were kids. I don’t think he’s marriage material though, he has too many kids. I’d fuck him. Kill Luthor, marry the other guy.”
“Sorry babe,” Dinah put her arm on Oliver’s arm as she spoke, “but I would definitely marry Bruce Wayne. There’s just something about him, did you see that recent beach photoshoot? He’s really in shape. Obviously I’d kill Lex.” He could pull out a batarang and stab himself. That seems like a good option. Hal shot up in his seat, “Oh Bruce Wayne, the love of my life. That man is so hot. Marry him because that way we could fuck anytime we’d want to. Fuck Pavel Durov and obviously kill Luthor.”
Bruce cannot do this. Secret identity be dammed, he could not sit through this anymore. He pushed his seat back again which unfortunately attracted everyones attention. Hal once again speaking to him, asked, “I know you said you’re not playing but as a Gothamite, who’s saved Bruce Wayne many times, any comment about how attractive he really is?” Bruce looked right at Hal, staying in his seat. He reached up and slowly removed his cowl. Oliver let out a soft “Oh my gosh”, everyone stared in shock. Hal screamed.
Fuck, Marry ,Kill. A game that the Justice League, Outlaws and some of the original Titans will never play again.
This is an old-ish fic so ignore the errors and bad grammar. I promise I've improved. Not that this i bad (I still enjoy rereading it) but I can do better now.

Xavier Thorpe-centric headcanons (featuring Wenvier)
Because I ship them and I stand with Percy Hynes White. I will probably post more of these later. Team Xavier to the end of times.
Xavier’s middle name is David.
He was born on August 28th. It’s the only summer day Wednesday tolerates.
He lives in New York.
He has a difficult relationship with his father, that we know of. He always hopes it gets better and for his dad to reach out and not prioritize his work for once. He always ends up disappointed. Wednesday hates Vincent Thorpe’s guts.
His mother passed away when he was eleven. He rarely talks about it but he loved his mother deeply and she was amazing. She was an artist like him.
Xavier has a green eyed black cat named Shado. It was his mom's and he kept it despite his father's attempts to get rid of it. He is quite the old jaded cat and usually hisses at everyone who isn't Xavier. That's until he meets Wednesday: he's basically all over her purring when she's at Xavier's. She'd like to chase him away when he's too clingy sometimes and she's trying to read but she can't resist those green eyes. And we all know how much Wednesday must love green eyes.
Obviously, Xavier loves Arctic Monkeys and Chase Atlantic. His favourite song is Do Me a Favour by Arctic Monkeys.
He's very good with kids. Which Wednesday once thought could be handy in the future. The minute she realized what she was thinking, she wanted to hit her head against the wall for becoming like her mother.
(TW: eating disorder/body image) Xavier struggles with eating sometimes because he used to be overweight. He didn’t start running out of pleasure: his father forced him to lose the weight because "having a fat son wouldn't be good for his image". Again, Wednesday's still waiting for Xavier's permission to curse his father.
Xavier is a huge fan of The Hunger Games series, he read the books and watched the movies at least ten times. It's partly why he chose to practice archery. Definitely has a celebrity crush on Jennifer Lawrence. He made Wednesday watch all the movies with him and she actually didn't hate them.
His second obsession is Star Wars. His ringtone is Cantina Band. Wednesday hates Star Wars.
Xavier is this annoying person who has multiple hidden talents. Obviously, he's a very good painter, but he's also a great piano player (his mom taught him), he's an okay dancer, and he's not that bad at singing even though he mainly does in the shower. But since he's modest or thinks it's not that great, people usually randomly find out about it. Ajax always acts falsely jealous like "Dude you can do literally everything, I hate you", but he's also the first one to exclaim "oh you need someone who can do that? Xavier's like so good, you should ask him!"
Wednesday was impressed (although she was careful not to show it at first) when she found out he could play the piano and they've definitely both played piano and cello together.
Speaking of Ajax, him and Xavier are basically brothers and we all know it. They met when they arrived at Nevermore the same year when they were twelve and they've been inseparable ever since.
I have a very clear vision of Xavier barging in Ajax's room after he and Wednesday get together like "it's official, bitch!" and they're both gloating like two tall idiots, so proud that they're dating the two hot best friends from Ophelia Hall

Final thoughts
Loved all the Marcone we got. I like that we’re getting more on the ongoing mystery. I hope we see more of the Alphas. I liked the fights and Harry’s detective work. More Bi Harry the counter is going up! We’re up to 6. As with the previous book, I'm not a big fan of the male gaze but I think that’s more to do with the length and descriptions used. Harry (or Jim) will go on for a solid paragraph describing women using words I don’t think anyone would use while with Bi Harry it’s not as long and I can see people using words like good looking or handsome. I mostly glazed over the male gaze bits. I don’t know if my predisposition to Bi Harry and a Harry/Marcone shipper is making those parts stand out or if it’s because I’m actively looking for them to add to the counter. Speaking of Marcone I don’t recall if it’s said why Marcone wants Harry to work for him. Yeah having a wizard on staff is cool he can do magic but surely Marcone knows that there’s more magic people and some are more likely to work for him than Harry. So why does he specifically want Harry to work for him? He tried to get him to work for him three times in this book and once in the previous book. There’s trying to hire someone and then there’s whatever this is. I enjoyed this book. Good book for Harry/Marcone moments. Looking forward to the next book!

okay i just saw a shakespeare in the park romeo and juliet production and i’ve got THOUGHTS AND OBSERVATIONS so
BUCKLE UP FOLKS
tybalt was hot because he had shaved sides and long hair and he was wearing a lot of dark leather
anyway this meant i was staring at him a lot and shout out to props! because his sword was like a fancy italian rapier instead of the short sword everyone else touted and you LOVE to see that attention to detail
romeo was so so obnoxious, as is his god given right
best actor goes to the guy who played friar lawrence / sir capulet and managed to make them very engaging characters
also good was the guy who played sir montague and that guy who can’t read forget his name
juliet SLAYED she SLAYED ugh AMAZING WORK ICON
nurse also slayed 😌
okay fav Choice they made was when nurse and the montague parents and paris find juliet “dead,” each person individually gave their lines and then they each REPEATED their lines over each other and it was like a cacophony of grief and it was spectacular and also when i started to cry
the dick jokes they chose to make obvious as dick jokes we’re NOT the ones i would have chosen, which i respect
benvolio treated every conversation between mercutio and romeo as if he was witnessing a rap battle
also mercurios whole queen mab bit, the first part was like exclusively to make benvolio giggle and the second was to fuck with romeo in particular which is perfect
benvolio and romeo thought mercutio was joking for most of his death monologue and then he collapsed and my. heart.
in general the BRO energy of ben+merc+romeo was SOOO strong it was slime middle school levels.

OH SO IMPORTANT mercutio was wearing a HEINOUS amount of houndstooth and floral
the sex scene was interpretive dance. i don’t know what else to say about it.
also the actors didn’t play it that way but hearing the lines when mercutio and tybalt were about to fight was like. that meme when one guy shows up with a sword and the other guys shows up with a picnic basket and roses and candles like WOW mercutio was flirting
also bc it was outdoor everything got darker as it progressed and like. it’s the earth but narratively it WORKS
all this to say you should see if there’s a local theatre troupe or shakespeare in the park production and GOOOO and DONATE it was SICK

For any House MD fans who don't know, Hugh Laurie's full name is James Hugh Calum Laurie while Robert Sean Leonard's actual name is Robert Lawrence Leonard- this is due to the fact while applying for his Screen Actors Guild membership, RSL discovered he shared his birth name with another actor, forcing him to modify his name. He chose the name, Sean, the name of his brother as a middle name.
There's also a ten year age gap between the two men- HL was born on June 11, 1959 while RSL was born on February 28, 1969.

- Hugh Lawrence Apiston - he/him - USA
Hugh's name comes from the book Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children, just as does his surname (Apiston).
Lawrence was chosen simply because I thought Having A Middle Name Is A Very American Thing To Do 🤠🤙so I chose that xD it means "bright one" and, well, Hugs sure is a bright little guy, I'll tell you that much.
- Gunner
Operating under Dean, the Master Gunner of the ship, Hugh's training in the army gave him enough experience for him to earn this job aboard of Blithe.
He learns fast and easily, so he's very much able to opperate all of Blithe's artillery - his favorites are the cannons, tho, which he uses to incapacitate enemy ships. He hates the sound of it, but a job is a job and the pay is good.
- Apikinesis
The hability to manipulate bees. Hugh's main peculiarity, is the fact that his stomach is the home of numerous bees - as scary as it sounds, they don't bother him. Instead, he can comunicate and use his little insect companions to his advantage.
They can be used as spies or, if the situation really needs it, as a form of direct attack. Because of how bees die after stinging, tho, Hugh doesn't use them unless it's really his only and last choice.
He has little bee wings and antennae, which makes him able to fly (not very high or far, but just enough for him to move around, seeing as he lost one of his legs and he is way more confortable flying than walking).
The antennae on his head are helpful sensory organs, which he can use to feel changes in the enviroment such as electric fields and humidity - Hugh's senses get easily overwhelmed when he finds himself in modern big cities, mostly due to his sensible antennae. They can also be used for feromone communication with his little bees.
- Personality
Hugh prides himself in being kind, affectionate and very helpful. He's a very optimistic bean, with a huge heart and capacity of love - he learned very well from his adoptive dad's, mainly Michael.
He's aware of the fact that his appearance and bees scare most people, so he learned to not take the ones he has for granted - he knows that he's very lucky to have such friends and to be so dearly loved for who he is.
An extrovert, Hugh is never afraid to meet new people and loves to talk about whatever he can, especially his dear wife - speaking of which, he can't stop complimenting whatever she does. He went to the lengts of learning german just so she could feel more confortable in speaking to him, since her English is bad; he's very happy to be her translator, always smiling and looking at her with heart eyes (or eye, actually).
Hugh is not scared of voicing his problems and concerns. He has minor PTSD episodes, tho he had many years to learn how to deal with them, and always goes to help when he feels like needing it.
A confident little guy, full of love to give.
- Funfact: Hugh has a very high tolerance to sugar. He rarely has to eat anything, since the honey created by his bees is enough to give him all nutrients he needs. If he does eat anything, it's mostly sweet fruits. Diabetes fear him-

- Fiona Frauenfelder Apiston - she/her - Germany
Fiona also comes from the MPHFPC series, but the reason I chose to keep it is actually because of my uncle's dog. When I was a child and she was a puppy, I spent the whole Christmas night taling care of her so she would not be alone while the adults where talking and eating; I always loved that dog and she's very old now. It's been years since I last saw her and to change the name of my character would be betrayng that damn dog. I could never.
Frauenfelder is a swiss surname, which mens "someone who comes from Frauenfeld", a place in Switzerland. According to google, Frauenfeld means "field of women" and that is very cool.
Apiston is Hugh's surname. She got it from him.
- Striker
Often overlooked, a striker's position is the one of hunter and gatherer. Tho Fiona usually is responsible only for the gathering part, she is indeed a very good hunter as well, who can use the plants to her advantage.
Her knowledge in plants is extremely important in collecting fruits and plants to be eaten or used in remedies. Fiona doesn't have to work very hard in finding what is needed, given her fitocinetic hability, but she still goes out in hunts with her striker companions.
- Plant Manipulation
Fiona's power makes her capable of creating and manipulating almost any form of plantlife, apart from magical ones.
She's able to make plants grow almost anywhere, having a strong connection with nature because of that. Her favorite plant is the mallow flower, which grows out of her body when she's feeling happy.
Flowers grow whenever Fiona walks on land, usually leaving a very coloful path leading to her - or, in case of anger, a very thorny and dangerous path full of poison ivy.
- Personality
Fiona has selective mutism. She suffers from severe anxiety and is really only able to speak in whispers to Hugh, the person with whom she's most confortable with. Apart from that, she spends most of her time in complete silence, unless she feels the need to speak. Not many people know her voice.
Her strong fear of public interaction with people she doesn't know make her seem weird in the eyes of strangers and she grew to learn that it's not her fault she's this way. She doesn't need a voice to express herself, mostly, and only uses her flowers and plants to show her strongest emotions.
She's a caring girl, always there if needed by any of her crewmates. She's a good listener, who'll kindly pay attention to her colleagues. But don't let her looks fool anyone, she's a strong girl if needed.
She may be a mess of a person, but she'll always follow her gut and do almost anything so the ones she care for can be safe.
- Funfact: Fiona's dream was to settle down and grow old with Hugh, with a big family. She knows very well that is far from what they can afford - being peculiars, the thought of having a place where time can pass normally and they can get old is just a fairytale. They'll never get to do that; instead, their bodies and minds will stay frozen in time for as long as they live. She learned to be okay with that, but deep down she still earns for a different life.

So I've Been Binge Watching "So Help Me Todd"...
I love Todd's character, but wow I feel so bad for him. And honestly, I can't tell if we're supposed to be for or against Margaret Wright.
Because here's the thing, right. Margaret is having a rough time. He husband left her. Her career always seems to be in jeopardy. There is always a power struggle that is preventing her from doing her job or threatening to take it away. At the same time, she seems to be a loving mother who will remind her kids to iron their shirts and buy them lunch. So yeah, I can see why we're supposed to root for her.
HOWEVER, she is a terrible person???
She made her oldest child (Lawrence) feel so stupid when she sent him to military school that he would become a workaholic who is trying to climb up the political ladder. He doesn't even spend time with his husband or daughter because he is too busy trying to prove himself.
Then Margaret controlled almost every aspect of her middle child's (Alice) life. Alice chose a career (doctor) that would make her mom happy and married a boring guy because he was what her mother liked and never broke any rules because that's what her mom wanted. Now, she's in her thirties and is only just now deciding to live for herself. She has to rethink her marriage, career, and life. She's unhappy and perpetually negative.
Lastly, you have Todd. Oh boy, where do we begin with her treatment of Todd? Well, when his father died when he was a freshman in high school, his mother chose to hide herself. She practically lived at work. Meanwhile, Todd was separated from his siblings because they were busy trying to make careers that would please her. He was left alone, abandoned, only seeing her in fleeting moments. He had no one to turn to for advice and was left hanging alone.
Then, he met a girl named Veronica who taught him how to be a private investigator. It was his passion. He loved it. But then Veronica turned around and framed him for her crimes, so Mama Margaret had to step in and help keep him out of jail. He lost his license and couldn't get back on his feet. So, she gave him a job. That was nice of her. Except he doesn't even get an office. He had to work on a rolling stool in a storage closet. He wasn't given proper work equipment.
The worst of it all is how she talks to him. She sees him practically every day and always has something mean or negative to say to him. He can't seem to do anything right in her eyes because he will always be the family screw-up. She seems to want to fulfill a self-fulfilling prophecy. I kid you not, in one episode, Alice went to jail for drunk and disorderly conduct, but Todd showed up to bail her out. Their mom caught them at the courthouse, and she immediately assumed Todd had been arrested, and Alice had bailed him out. She yelled at him and apologized to Alice multiple times, on different occasions, until Alice admitted she was the one who got arrested. Now, did Margaret apologize to Todd for falsely accusing him? No! She yelled at him for bailing her out because he was conspiring or something like that?
Then there was the Thanksgiving special where no one except Todd could go. Margaret ignored Todd, acted like he didn't matter, and moped and cried and complained that her other kids weren't coming. Eventually, the other two kids had to drop what they were doing and visit her to placate her. They had to drop everything for her.
The siblings are so divided because of her too. Like, they argue with each other every time they meet in person because "Mom loves you guys but hates me." Like, all three of them think that the mom loves the others but not them. And it's not like the siblings WANT to fight each other. Lawrence admitted this when he was high on magic mushroom tea.
So yeah, are we supposed to be for or against Margaret? Because, honestly, no matter how many moments she has with her kids, over all, she traumatized all of them.

5. The Squadron Dad Au. I know I've actually posted about this once or twice before here and here, but here's the general synopsis: Hera is dealing with Alphabet Squadron, and they are a Hot Mess, as is canon. She's venting about them to Kanan one day and they come up with a brilliant idea-- in order to make them bond into a team, they need to have one thing in common. For instance, one person they dislike. In this scenario, that's their new drill sergeant, Kanan Jarrus, who torments them relentless (but also stealth dads them like, a lot).
(Now that I think of it, it's not unlike certain parts in The King Of Attolia)
Anyways I love this au so I'll post a snippet of it and link it here!
30. Blades of Acktar/SWR Au. PFFFFT this one. Okay so this was directly inspired by me and @accidental-spice being obsessed with this allegorical self published book series called Blades of Acktar (there's a lot of redemption and assassins and some cute couples. I'd recommend it!). Anyways I'm pretty sure the main character, Renna, probably adopted Kanan as a brother figure. The one part I remember best (cause it's been a while) is that Renna's parents (Lawrence and Anita) had several conversations where it was the middle of the night and Lawrence was laying in bed worrying about something out loud and Anita was all "LAWRENCE. IT'S LIKE THREE AM. GO TO BED" which I feel was very in character for them. I kinda want to use that in some other piece of writing someday
55. Meeting Kanan. This isn't necessarily an au-- well, it kinda is. It's a Kanan lives au, and how Kanan meets a bunch of other characters! I've only written him meeting Poe, Rey, and Finn, and I've only posted him meeting Poe here, but I'd like to write some more! Especially some of the lesser known book characters, like the ones from Bloodline
85: The Dragon Prince Au no. 2 (Kanan gets heat stroke and true love). Ahhh, yes. This was a fic I was writing for Kanera Week a while back, but lost inspiration for. It's set in The Dragon Prince universe-- Kanan's a human who likes to cause trouble, and winds up in elf territory. Namely, in this desert where he gets heat stroke and nearly dies, until an elf (Hera, obviously) shows up to save him. I actually have a good chunk of that one written (and no specific plans to finish it) so I'll share that one on a seperate post, too!

Lawrence king
15-year-old Lawrence Fobes King lived a troubled life after being adopted and then mistreated at a young age.
By the time he hit middle school, he was finally living happily in a foster group home where he felt free enough to let the world know he was gay. Though many adults and teens close to him warned of the dangers of being so open about his sexuality, this, in no way, deterred young Larry from showing the world, unapologetically, who he was. At the same time, you have a 14-year-old boy named Brandon Mclnerney who's also lived a very difficult life with an extremely abusive father as his mother struggled with drug addiction and was unable to remove her son from the volatile situation. In a very unfortunate and sad way, these two troubled teens' lives crossed paths in what would lead to a deadly conclusion.
Larry and Brandon both attended E.O. Green Junior High School in Oxnard, California in 2008. Larry was very much ignored up until he came out as gay and began to cross dress at school. It's safe to say that most teachers there did not approve. Based on statements made, Larry was still allowed to dress in the manner in which he chose. Then, in February of 2008, Larry began telling his friends about how attractive he found Brandon. This angered Brandon, who plotted to have Brandon jumped, but those efforts never proved fruitful. One day, as Brandon stood on the basketball court surrounded by friends, little Larry approached with a full face of makeup and high heels to ask Brandon to be his valentine. It's unclear if Larry truly wanted Brandon as his valentine or had set out to embarrass his fellow student for the rejection Brandon had strongly expressed. No matter what the reason, this sent Brandon into a rage as he had expressed his frustration with school staff previously and felt Larry was being allowed to sexually harass him. On other occasions, Larry would holler out to Brandon as they passed each other in the halls, things like "I love you baby," all while other students made fun of Bandon for the teasing. While the thought of this is troubling, it in no way excuses the decisions Brandon made from then on.
On February 12th, 2018, Brandon left home for school armed with a 22 calibre revolver with the thought of shooting Larry. Once he sat down in the computer lab with Larry and the rest of the class, Brandon admits to having second thoughts. That was until Larry loudly expressed that he would now be referred to as Letocia. It was then that Brandon stood up and fired two shots into the back of Larry's head. Brandon then fled the scene and was apprehended a couple blocks from the school.
Larry was still alive and was transported to St. John's
Regional Medical Center where he was taken into surgery. He was declared brain dead on February 13 but kept on life support for two days before passing away.
While there was lots of controversy over whether or not Brandon should be charged as an adult, the prosecution made the decision that he would be tried as such. While most saw Larry as the victim in this, many others, including teachers and Larry's adoptive father, expressed sympathy for Brandon as they felt he was being sexually harassed. School staff were informed on numerous occasions that Larry was following boys into the bathroom but were told to take no action. Hundreds of students at the school even signed a petition pleading for Brandon to be tried in juvenile court. Nevertheless, by early July of 2011, the trial was well underway and Brandon was facing a life sentence being tried as an adult.
Ultimately, the trial ended in a deadlocked jury with seven jurors voting guilty of voluntary manslaughter and five others deciding on first or second degree murder. Before long, six jurors were rallying in Brandon's defence after saying they in no way supported this 14-year-old being tried as an adult. They even went on to raise money for his defence as the DA's office announced they would be retrying the case. That trial would never come because on November 21, 2011, Mclnerney was offered a plea deal in which he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, and use of a firearm. He was sentenced to serve 21 years.

London office worker became royalty after marrying Middle Eastern king

Britain has a widely unknown royal princess - a London office worker who wooed the King of Jordan.
Antoinette Avril Gardiner, known as “Toni”, was born in 1941 in the village of Chelmondiston in Suffolk, to Lieutenant Colonel Walter Gardiner, who was in the British Army and based abroad in Malaysia.
She attended Bourne School in Kuala Lumpur, where it is said she excelled at field hockey, but her school was shut down when Britain decided to close down its offices in the country, and her family were sent back to the UK.
Aged 19, she accompanied her father to his new station in Jordan where she quickly landed herself a job at Jordan Radio before taking on a secretarial role at a film production company called Horizon.
The Horizon team were in Jordan to shoot what would later become a Hollywood all-time classic, Lawrence of Arabia.
As part of the movie, Jordan’s King Hussein gave permission for some Jordanian servicemen to take up roles as extras.
He would regularly attend the set to check up on how his soldiers were doing.
On one occasion, the film crew threw a fancy-dress party, which the king attended dressed as a pirate.
It was there that Toni saw him and said the words that won his heart. “It makes you look rather scruffy, Your Majesty,” she said with a cheeky smile.
The king had actually just come out of a divorce from his ex-wife, Queen Dina, and was said to be feeling terribly lonely and was looking for love.
King Hussein was also a keen Anglophile, so he naturally fell in love with Toni as soon as he laid eyes on her.
Regarding his first meeting with his wife-to-be, the king later wrote: “For the first time in my life, here was a girl who took an interest in me as a human being and not as a King.”
The couple were soon wed, and Toni changed her name to Princess Muna al-Hussein.
Many speculate that the name change came as part of her conversion to Islam.
After all, it was unconstitutional at the time for the king of Jordan to marry a non-Muslim woman. Others, however, believe that she didn’t change her religion, hence the reason for her only taking the title of Princess rather than Queen.
To this day, her religious affiliation is somewhat ambiguous.
The young English bride bore four children for the king, the first being Abdullah in 1962, then Faisal in 1963, and finally she gave birth to twins Aisha and Zein.
As the eldest of King Hussein’s sons, Abdullah was granted the title of Crown Prince and eventually became the new king of Jordan upon his father’s passing.
King Abdullah II, being half English and having received his education in Sandhurst, always struggled with Arabic and spoke English as his first language. He is therefore often referred to today as the “English king from the desert”.
But things weren’t always so easy for Toni a.k.a. Muna.
Her son Abdullah was briefly stripped of his Crown Prince title due to instability in the country.
According to the Jordanian constitution, the country’s ruling monarch must be born to Muslim parents.
With doubts about his mother’s conversion still lingering, King Faisal tweaked the constitution in order to allow him to name his younger brother Hassan as his heir. This decision was later changed again to allow Abdullah to reclaim his title.
Princess Muna (Toni) also had to endure a bitter divorce from her husband of 10 years in 1971 after he decided to marry again while still being wed to her.
However, King Hussein amicably allowed her to keep her royal title while relieving her from many of the responsibilities associated with it.
At that point, she had the choice of returning to the UK, but she chose to stay in Jordan and be close to her children.
In later years, she had to heed off an attempt by another wife of the king, American-born Lisa Halaby, who pressed King Hussein to name her son Hamzah as Crown Prince.
Unlike Abdullah’s mother, Hamzah’s mother’s conversion to Islam is not in doubt, and she goes by the name Queen Noor. But eventually, it was Abdullah who was crowned king, and by the time of his wedding to Queen Rania in 1993, Muna and Noor had apparently resolved their differences.
Nowadays, even at the age of 80, Princess Muna can be found pursuing her passion of nursing in the Middle East.
She founded the Princess Muna College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions and the Princess Muna Scholarship Fund for Nursing.
She has also been the President of the Jordanian Nursing Council and the Vice-President of the Royal College of Nursing. (Source: The Mirror UK)

Thank you @bloodlessheirbyjacques for the tag! I believe the rules are to answer the questions as one of your characters. I went with Jason to answer this one, and I’m sorry the responses are short 😅
1. Are you named after anyone?
Partly, though I’m not proud of it. My father chose my middle name after an actor he admired, Theodore King… Let’s just say that Mister King wouldn’t have taken kindly to people like me. I just tell people I’m named after my great grandfather, even though his name was Lawrence.
2. When was the last time you cried?
During my son’s check-up. He’s suffered so much, and the world keeps taking from him… He’s so thin, but he’s trying so hard to keep training and helping people. I couldn’t be prouder of him.
3. Do you have kids?
Several, depending on how you define “kids.” Legally, I have three godchildren and a stepson. If you’re counting children within my care, I have ten. And yes, I love them all dearly.
4. Do you use sarcasm?
If I’m particularly irritated with someone, then absolutely.
5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?
How they treat people. I don’t tolerate rudeness or bullying, especially towards children.
6. What’s your eye color?
It’s a light blue, I believe. Henry keeps saying it’s like snow, and I’m starting to wonder if he’s colorblind somehow.
7. Scary movies or happy endings?
I’ve never cared for scary movies, unless they’re cheesy drive-in movies like my parents would have watched. Henry and I make fun of them all the time— He does the best imitations of all those actors.
8. Any special talents?
Do you count Freak abilities? It’s taken a while, but I’ve started to perfect the use of my wings. Flying is such a refreshing feeling.
9. Where were you born?
Born and raised in Hazelton. It’s much larger than Preston, more for the “elite.” I never cared for it that much.
10. What are your hobbies?
Reading, mostly, though I did love gardening some time ago. Will’s starting to take to it, and I love helping him. I also enjoy teaching a bit, helping my patients learn history and science— and flying, definitely, especially with Will. He always tries to fly as close to the moon as possible.
11. Do you have any pets?
I had a cat named Quentin once. He hated my father, but he loved the rest of us. He always slept in my chair while I did schoolwork. I miss him sometimes.
12. What sports do you play/have played?
Aside from the required classes for school, the most athletic thing I’ve done is training for Vesely. Honestly, I owe Rio my life for helping me learn how to fight.
13. How tall are you?
Somewhere around six feet, last I checked. Not the tallest in our company, thankfully, but much taller than Henry and our patients.
14. Favorite subject in school?
It’s a tie between English and History. I loved reading about ancient civilizations, but our English teacher always gave us the best books to read.
15. Dream job?
I actually love being a caretaker for my patients, even if the other employees can be a pain. These kids mean the world to me, and I’m happy to help them grow and learn and come into their powers.

Hey Arina!
Congratulations on the season 1 finale and the start of a new one! Thank you very much for Theodora, for giving us the opportunity to gather together in such a cozy corner dedicated to a magnificent and beloved history. We have been preparing for the interview for a long time and anxiously awaiting the final. To say that he impressed us is an understatement! We hope that you didn't drown in the ocean of fan tears after the players finished the last episodes of the first season ;) and are ready to chat with us for a while...
Hello! I'm very happy, thanks for inviting me! Let me quickly digress: I want to thank the administrators of this and other communities on Theodora - your work is amazing 💜
1) What are your impressions of the final?
Let me just say that I like it. I am satisfied with the work that we have done - everything turned out the way I imagined.
I admit honestly - I was afraid of the reaction of the fandom, I tried to mentally prepare for a large amount of negativity. But I was pleasantly surprised by the comments that I received after the release of the June update.
I've said it before and I'll say it again - thank you very much for your support!
2) Tell us about your mood. Combat?
Now I try to learn to approach work with due patience, including myself. I try to reason with my perfectionism and desire to satisfy every reader - I understand that this is impossible.
3) How is the work progressing? Where are you located geographically now?
I'm traveling with my boyfriend - behind Estonia, Turkey and Mexico, and our journey continues :)
Work is progressing steadily. We try very hard and hope to please you in August with high-quality chapters!
4) Do you read Theodora theories? Were the players able to predict the plot?
Yes, I read! I really like to watch how people interpret certain hints left by me in history.
5) Why did the choice fall on Italy in the 1960s? What historical facts, media inspired you?
I just read articles and watched excerpts from the cinema - I haven’t gotten around to whole films and books on this period (at least not yet). There was no break between the first and second season, and I had to dive into a new time period in express mode.
The 60s were chosen for "logistical" reasons - they are just somewhere in the middle between 1914 and 2019. I just like Italy for its architecture and special atmosphere.
6) Are you closer to the theme of the First World War or the one that will be in the second season? What is easier to write and what is more difficult?
The 1960s are easier to write in terms of collecting information, because there are more articles on the Internet about the life of this era.
I love both of these themes. When you get used to it and start to feel comfortable in what you write, the process is very exciting.
7) Was it morally difficult to kill your heroes? How did you live these moments?
Sobbed, of course, how else :)
I became very attached to them, and thinking through and then prescribing the death scenes of the characters was like a knife to the heart. I felt like I betrayed them, or something ... It was difficult, in general, but I think it was worth it.
8) We noticed that Theodora had no children in her marriage. Is it related to immortality and will be revealed in the future?
Let's get to the question of children in history.
9) Was the patron's name a reference to Lucien Lachance? Or is the translation from French more important?
There was no reference - before the release of the novel, I had no idea who Lucien Lachance was. She chose the name herself.
10) Tell us how the characters of the story were created? Who showed up first? And it is very interesting to know which favorite appeared first.
John showed up first, and Lawrence was drawn first (because he shows up before all the other favorites).
They all created themselves when I started writing :)
Of course, I did preliminary work, collecting the "skeleton", but many features became clear along the way.
I'm not one of those writers who come up with every little thing about a character and only then start writing (this approach certainly takes place, it's just not for me). I'm used to "listening" to the characters in the course of the story, to understand their behavior in various situations in which I put them. Sometimes, I must admit, this interferes with the process, as it can be difficult for me to establish a connection with this or that character.
11) How was the plot itself created? Did you first write down the present and the already immortal Theodora, or did you go in chronological order, starting from 1914?
Everything was created in approximately the same order in which you see events in history. When the backbone was made, I went through the plot in the second circle in order to throw fishing rods from the past into the present.
12) Does it happen that after the release of the series you want to change something in them? Are you always satisfied with the end result?
It happens, of course. We all have mistakes. For example, I regret that I chose an unsuccessful mechanic in the exit to the opportunity to bring Friedrich and Kurt together in the absence of a branch with the first.
But most of the time I'm happy with what comes out—I don't turn in a chapter until I'm reasonably satisfied with what I've got.
13) In this update, the third stat has finally appeared - Energy. It seemed to many players that it carries a negative character. Is it acceptable to assume that we have the opportunity to follow the path of the antagonist? Is it worth hoarding it?
To save or not is your choice. I don't want to reveal all the details, but I will say that this stat gives Theodora a power that can be useful in the future. The path of the antagonist does not shine for her.
14) Will the Energy stat be linked to Romantic or Cynic stats?
No.
15) In the first episode of the second season, we met the mysterious Antonio. Will we see the development of a love relationship with him? Will this thread be complete?
I decided not to divide the branches into complete and incomplete - they either exist or not. I usually try to give all my favorites about the same amount of screen time.
There is a branch with Antonio.
16) Do the options with decorations left from our favorites affect the plot?
No, the choice simply allows you to add embellishments to your 2019 wardrobe.
17) How do you feel about adding branches with your favorite heroes at the request of the players? Would you rather stick to your own plans, or would you be willing to go along with it?
I definitely won't do anything that I think could potentially harm the plot.
18) Would you like to create your own alternative/fantasy world, or would you like to write more about events in the real world, but with elements of mysticism?
I think realism with elements of mysticism is closer to me. But who knows where it might take me in the future :)
19) We have already been lucky enough to watch the gorgeous cut-scenes of your authorship in Theodore. Did you draw with your boyfriend for the June update?
Yes! In the June update, we drew Theodora's death, scenes on the liner in the USA, a letter to parents, Lawrence's death.
The novel begins with an interview with a mysterious philanthropist. We could not pass by this scene and decided to feel like Theodora we love. Therefore, we invite you to answer the questions that Madame Fleming asked in her interview to Monsieur Lachance :)

I love Russian classics, John Verdon, Agatha Christie, Carlos Ruiz Safon, Robert McCammon... But I have not yet found one favorite author who would leave me absolutely delighted.

Heaven's parents
Desmond Jace Oberman
Born in Grimsborough in 1956, he has been best friends with Jeremiah Jones (David's father) since high school (where they both met their future wives). Desmond comes from a military family and chose to follow in their footsteps (he is an old acquaintance of James Marsh), he married his beloved Diyani after the college graduation and was looking forward to starting a family with her. While his best friend Jeremiah and his wife recently had their firstborn, Irwin Michael Jones, Desmond and Diyani were having difficulty in conceiving their first child (trying for at least 2 years). Finally, in 1980, the Oberman spouses had a beautiful baby girl, they decided to call her Heaven (they saw her as their miracle) Pocahontas (name of a real Native American woman). As of 2018, Desmond Oberman is a middle-aged retired military soldier still happily married to Diyani.
Diyani Winona Oberman (née Peota)
Born in Grimsborough in 1958, Diyani grew up in the city's Aloki encampment alongside her parents and older brother (with whom she is very close). Because she is an Aloki, Diyani has been victim of discrimination for most of her life, she couldn't accept herself until she met her future husband Desmond in high school (who always loved her, regardless of her origins). After graduating from college in psychology (she is an ex-colleague of Lawrence Bishop), Diyani married her beloved Desmond and moved to a suburban neighborhood, the woman also experienced discrimination from other Aloki after the marriage and her parents disowned her while her brother never abandoned her and still loves her. Diyani struggled to get pregnant for 2 years, while her neighbor, Colleen Jones, managed to have two sons in 1978 and 1980 respectively. But eventually in the same year as baby David, the woman finally got pregnant and 9 months later she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who she and her husband decided to name Heaven Pocahontas (after a miracle and a real Native American woman respectively). As of 2018, Diyani Oberman is a psychologist still happily married to Desmond.
