Silver casually doing his usual knightly duties and Idia being shocked at such Chad behavior will never not be funny 🤡 but seeing Idia passionately share his hobbies in the vignettes was wholesome! (The story about Idia singing with Ortho as they went to the bathroom together at night was also adorable 🥺)

A Tale as Old as Time.
Gazing upon the good and righteous was nothing new for Idia. He had pored over countless manga and light novels, binged shounen anime after shounen anime.
Here was another hero, bathed in bronze sunlight, posing triumphantly, a sword to pave the way forward and a battered training dummy to protect. His trusty winged steed beside him, a stout, wizened satyr, his mentor, hanging off of one bulging bicep. True, the arena they stood in was empty, save for the training equipment scattered about—but there was no doubt that the world would soon know his name, and his face written in the stars.
A platinum frame divided Idia from that legendary man.
Clutching onto one limp, flabby arm, he quietly scoffed. Haaah, it looks like a scene straight out of some musclehead's training montage...
"You're admiring this painting too, Idia-senpai?"
Idia's thoughts came to a screeching halt. Goosebumps prickled his skin, hair standing on end. A young man with a build similar to the hero in the artwork had appeared, handsome-face framed by moonlight locks.
"E-Eep! S-Silver-shi?!" His voice was pinched, a reverberating squeak.
The knight bowed his head. "Hello. It sounds like you're in good spirits."
Idia took a step back, as if he were the night making way for the encroaching day. The shadows were where he felt the safest, wrapped up in a cloak that granted him near invisibility from the average onlooker. Not with Silver. He who cast a revealing light wherever he drifted.
"Y-Yeah, what a n-nice painting..." Idia mumbled, not bothering to summon the effort to lie. He attempted to skitter away, cutting the conversation short, but—to his dismay—Silver continued.
"I look up to him too. There's many historical heroes we can look back on and learn from," Silver said with a nod. "I refer to them when I consider my own training regiment. They're inspirations to us all."
What's this?! Idia paled. Obviously I was trying to signal to him that I was gonna go AFK but this guy just starts spamming the chat!! H-Have I accidentally tripped an event flag...!? Or does he lack even more social awareness than an introverted otaku like me!?
Silver regarded him seriously—innocently, even. "Can I ask if this is the one you aspire to?"
Idia grimaced at the suggestion. "You're joking, right? Th-There's no way I could be a fraction as buff as he is!!"
The second year blinked, seeming undisturbed by the flustered response. “I don't think that's a concern."
“How’s it not? A hero can’t do crazy godlike stunts if he doesn’t have the right stuff…”
Silver shook his head. “My father has told me stories of warriors who were able to overcome their lack of strength with other provisions. A woman once pretended to be a man to infiltrate the military. Her wit saved their entire country from collapse."
"This man too…” Silver indicated the placard below the platinum frame. “… He gave up his strength to protect someone he loved. It was his noble heart that made the heavens recognize his godhood."
“W-Well…” Idia but his lower lip. He knew the tales as well as Silver did, but still he hesitated. “That’s true, but… isn’t it too unrealistic to think ordinary people could rise to those kinds of feats?”
His grip on his sleeve tightened.
The main character in Star Rogue... He started off as a zero and became a hero. But that's just a video game. Can something like that really happen in real life...? When true heroes are one in a billion?
Silver-shi makes it sound so easy.
His stomach lurched, wrenching into distorted shapes.
“If you have the drive, you can go the distance and somehow become strong,” Silver told him. His tone, reassuring yet firm.
“Somehow? H-How vague can you possibly get? That’s no way to achieve results…”
“It’s not brawn alone that determines your worth as a hero. Please have more faith in yourself, Idia-senpai."
As if just saying that will make my faith meter shoot through the roof! Anxiety-induced sweat beaded on Idia’s forehead.
M-Maybe if I tell him what he wants to hear, he’ll leave me alone… He warily eyed Silver. “O-Okay… I get it already. I’ll try, so…”
Please stop talking to me!! I-I don’t know how much longer of this pure-hearted anime protag speech I can stomach!
“You will? That’s great.” Silver smiled softly. His expression, Idia realized, reminded him of that of the hero in the photo frame.
A sparkling face, full of hope for the future.
A hero in the making.
That could be you, a tiny voice in his mind whispered.
A weight in his chest steadily lifted, then dropped again. Like a lost soul bobbing between life and death. Unsure of which way to go.
No, don’t be deceived. Life isn’t a game route that plays out with an easy ending. One misstep, and I’ll be floating in the River Styx.
Idia cut away from his underclassman. The hero’s big grin snagged in the corner of his eye.
Perfect, pearly, perky. Not a visible crack in a man seemingly chiseled out of marble.
But nobody’s perfect, not even the immortals. Everyone has a weakness or two in their systems, a security flaw, bug to exploit—and the bigger they are, the harder they fall.
Trust in excess turned into gullibility. Willingness to help could become one’s hubris. Goodness twisting into other shapes.
Suddenly, the hero was no longer infallible. His courage, painted foolishly.
If a hero could crumble, then so, too, could those at their lowest points rise up and rebuild a city. Make something of themselves. True one way, and true the other.
Someday, somehow, he’d be strong enough to face the odds—turning the impossible into the possible.
A slow, sinister smile crept onto his lips. Eerie, gleeful laughter filled the air. His shoulders, shuddering.
“Hihihihihihi…”
Silver’s ears perked. He inclined his head toward his upperclassman. It looks like Idia-senpai is reinvigorated. I’m glad I could encourage him.

Chapter 75...
I was so looking forward to a tearful reunion between Yor and Anya (since they're my favorite relationship in the series besides Twiyor) and I was not disappointed! ❤ It actually played out exactly as I thought, with Anya finally realizing the weight of what just happened and breaking down into tears before running to Yor (this is also the first time she initiated a hug from Yor instead of the other way around). Guess I got another favorite manga panel now 😭
I had to do a double take when the chapter started with the kids receiving stellas...I was like "are we really gonna skip what happened right after the previous chapter?!" But thankfully we get a flashback that fills in the gaps. I know many of us, including myself, predicted that the kids would get stellas (I personally thought they'd get more, especially Anya, but oh well).
Probably something no one saw coming was the fact that Twilight ended up being at the incident site. I know some people were confused/upset about this, but my interpretation is that he only showed up later, after everything was resolved, and he was not there when the terrorists were actually threatening the kids (I could be proven wrong later of course, but that's what I think as of now). We're told that he "raced" over, so he must have gotten the news from a source besides WISE. It could have been the television broadcast, or an informant like Franky. Plus, knowing Twilight, he probably has means of getting around faster than someone would expect, but he still needed a reasonable amount of time, hence why I don't think he could have been there any sooner than when the incident was wrapping up.
I know people were also disappointed that he reacted as calmly as he did, considering how much danger Anya was in. But I think he's simply still not ready for that level of emotion yet, especially in front of a WISE colleague. Maybe if Yor wasn't already there to comfort Anya, or if he saw exactly what happened on the bus, he would have broken down more. I feel like Twilight having a real emotional outburst (for Anya and/or Yor) would be when the series is heading towards a conclusion, and we're just not there yet. So for now, he's still continuing to spy from the shadows, but I have a feeling we'll get more of his thoughts on the whole matter later.
Another thing I predicted was that this incident would bring Anya and Damian closer - he even gave her compliments and called her a "friend!" Of course he goes all tsundere right after, but it's definitely a big step in their relationship.
And probably the biggest shock was finding out how unhinged Melinda is. At first I was like, "oh, how nice, she's actually a caring mom," but then when she switched...😳
Maybe the trigger for whatever contradictory thoughts she has going on is linked to her husband, since she changed her demeanor as soon as Damian brought him up.
There could still be another chapter or two related to this arc since there are still things yet to be resolved. For example, did Yor realize that she was lied to by Eden about what happened, and also, how does she feel about the perpetrators being Red Circus? And there's still a chance we'll get further reactions from Twilight (again, he's slow with his emotional constipation). We could get a scene of him musing about what happened, and then the impact of how serious it was finally hits him. And then there's Yuri...will he simply recover from his wound off-panel or will he have to spend time recuperating (with the Forgers)? And now we have this whole new development with Melinda. Still so much to look forward to!

I really really hope you're right, this just killed my motivation for everything. What happened with Solomare's story jar already left a bad taste in my mouth too.
I know I'll feel better in a few days, but I felt lied to when they said they'd continue the story and the app. And it's going to be even lighter and fluffier and a replacement for the main story line? One that new players will perfectly fit into? I was so looking forward to learning more about what would happen to Simeon.
Also not announcing it until last minute? For once I'm really glad I can barely afford food, because I'd be devastated if I had spent even a dollar. But maybe that's just me being poor.
I'm mostly likely going to stop writing for a while until I've archived everything important from the app, which is gonna take ages just in case anyway.
But anyway, are there any recent events you thought were better than usual? I've been too sick to grind lately so I haven't unlocked them. I want to know which ones to archive as soon as possible once the six months are up.
Sorry for bringing the mood down and the rant, but you seem to be the only positive one I follow that isn't outright calling people stupid or pathetic for being upset so I'm really hoping your positivity rubs off on me.
I do hope you keep posting for Nightbringer too! I have several issues with my hands so I don't think I'll ever be able to see the end of the og story line, and I especially love your analyses out of anyone else's.
Okay okay so they are continuing the og app and continuing the story, the only difference is they'll be continuing the mainstory in nightbringer and the og app will just be getting events. So the og app will continue the way it has since the end of s4 and new main story content will be uploaded to nightbringer (the devs did says this)
Not sure what happened with story jar but Obey Me! is solmare's most popular game. Objectively, nothing solmare has created has ever come near to reaching om! And I'm talking purely in the money making side of it - the anime? mangas? songs? merch? cons? VAs getting heavily involved in everything? Solmare's a business. As long as there's a fandom and a demand for it they're not gonna kill the og app.
Plus the majority of om's content is on the og app, with new content and old events still being released. If they wanted to kill the og app they'd stop releasing new content and updating lonely devil.
Since nightbringer will be continuing the mainstory from where they left off, they'd also need to move all of S1-4 the chats, call & devilgrams to nightbringer if they were gonna kill the og - and I'd imagine that's more hassle than it's worth
I do think we'd learn more about what happened to simeon;
• devs said they'd be continuing the main story in nightbringer so that'd include simeon
• nightbringer's current plot is about time travel and mc trying to find a way back home - so they will end up back in the current time at some point, where simeon's whole thing can be addressed
• s3 established that luke wasn't alive when the brothers were angels. If they intended to keep mc in the past they'd either have to scrap luke's entire character (?????) or retcon s3 which so far dropped the most lore
• thirteen (who's supposed to turn into a LI)'s first visit to the devildom happens in s4 and in nightbringer's op we see her in Diavolo's castle. Which means we're seeing the present timeline as well
....i think you're maybe panicking a bit too much? You definitely don't need to archive anything anytime soon. For well all of the reasons I mentioned above.... Maybe someday you'd have to but definitely not right now

Anime only watchers and people who aren't caught up with the Manga, BEWARE... Cuz I'm about to discuss Spy X Family Mission 75... You have been warned...! 👌
[SPOILERS AHEAD FROM THIS POINT ON]

(This gif perfectly describes how I feel after reading this chapter... So let's talk about it...!)
The chapter begins with Anya, Becky, Bill, and Damian each getting a Stella Star (as they should...! 😤):
And at first, I was like: "Is Endo really just gonna skip the direct aftermath of the hijacking...?" 🤔 But then, a few pages later, we get exactly that!! 😄
One by one, everyone's parents came to pick them up (we even got a small glimpse at Ewen's mom and Emile's dad...! 😁) And then, it was just Damian and Anya...
Which honestly hurt my heart a little seeing Anya looking into the distance like that... 😢
Then, we get one of (in my opinion) the most sweetest / wholesome moments between Anya and Damian...!! 💗😊💗
DAMIAN EVEN CALLED ANYA HIS FRIEND...!!! 💗😆💗😆💗(Which he retracted soon after...!! 😁)
But then, Damian says this...:
💔MY FREAKING HEART...!!!💔
WHY DO YOU THIS TO HIM ENDO!!? 😫
(I swear...!! If the Forgers don't take Damian in, me and rest of the fandom will gladly adopt this boy...!!! 😤)
After that, Yor finally showed up to get Anya, which led to THIS:

She really tried to play it off like she wasn't scared... 😢 Oh, Anya...! 💔😭💔
Then, we got the first big surprise of the chapter...:
TWILIGHT ACTUALLY SHOWED UP...!!! 😲 (And I'm happy about it!! 😊)
But that wasn't the only surprise...:
Melinda Desmond actually showed up!! 👀
And because of Anya, we finally got to see her inner thoughts...:
OH MY GOD!! 😱 WHAT AN ENDING...!!! AND WHAT IS HER DEAL?!!
And that was Mission 75, and it blew me out of the water...!!! 😵 I've said it a bunch before, and I'll say it again... Endo can always find a way to surprise me and keep me guessing...!! 😊 AND I LOVE THAT!!! 😁👍
As for where things will go from hear, I couldn't tell ya...! 😅 But what I do know is that Anya knows something's not right with Melinda now, and I wonder what she's gonna do with that information...? 🤔 Only time will tell...!! (Also, I wonder if Twilight was informed about the situation or if he heard about it a different way... 🤔)

Your dungeon meshi propaganda has worked I need to read about the living armor lmao. But I've never read a manga before, where/how do I do that? Can you give a noob some advice, please and thanks!
OMG I DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO MAKE PROPAGANDA (ok maybe I did but you know it wasn't really trying to, I am just bit of crazy about it) BUT I'M SO HAPPY YOU WANT TO GIVE IT A CHANCE!!!
Just preparing you, Dungeon Meshi is about food and monsters and AMAZING world building but is also dark and full of heavy themes and moments and its comedy is mostly based on black humour (and visual gags of course because that's what comics do) so if you're ok with these then absolutely go ahead 👏
So, if I understood correctly, you have never read manga and you're not sure how to read them or where to find them. Well, for starters, manga is the name we use for the comics made in Japan but nowadays manga has ended up being attributed mostly to the style of these comics (for example there are manga made in France). What makes manga unique though is the way of reading. Contrary to the western comics, Japanese are read from right to left and the speech bubbles follow the same logic. For example these are two pages of the first chapter of Dungeon Meshi, how they are originally and my guides so you can see them side by side:
As you can see there's no difference from the classic comics except the direction of reading. Years ago, when manga started to be distributed outside Japan, the publishing companies thought the best way to make them easier to read for the western audience was to print them opposite, like a mirror. Of course, this led to many misunderstandings and later the companies just added a reminder in the first page that "you reading the wrong way! Go to the last page!" and had guides similar to the ones I made now. Not gonna lie, at first it's kinda hard to get used to this way of reading but very soon you'll get so accustomed that automatically you'll read right to left once you spot a manga page.
As for where you can read it, there are many sites where you can read it for free (🏴☠️ is vital for all manga readers/anime watchers, believe me). You can google "dungeon meshi read online" and you'll get many results. Some good sites for manga are mangadex, mangahasu, mangakakalot, mangago etc. and you can even find apps (beware of adds and an app like that should be free, if there's charge either it's the official Crunchyroll or a fraud). However, I totally recommend buying at least one volume of the official release of a manga you loved, the feeling of the printed paper in your hand is something else.

Paralyze.
Special Chapter; Heroes Rising
Long chapter, 10k words
"Thank you so much for your help, boy!" I turned around and waved at the family I helped, "Come on, kids, say thank you as well."
"Thank you, Hero-san!" I chuckled and continued to wave as I made my way back.
"Bye! Don't cause trouble for mommy and daddy, alright?" Slowly, I began to jog now facing forward.
"We won't!" Their high-pitched voices reached my ears as I picked up my pace, and I began making my way back to Class 1-A headquarters.
On my way, I encountered a lot of people from the island, and they greeted me with effusive waves and bright smiles so I did the same. Thankfully, it didn't take me too long to get back, but the sunlight was getting pretty annoying and I needed some water.
I walked inside and took off my boots by the door before heading into the kitchen, "I'm back!" I announced as I walked past the office where most of my classmates were picking up phone calls. I received waves my way as a greeting and I opened the fridge, grabbed a water bottle and closed the fridge. I took a few gulps and decided to take the bottle with me to one of the tables, specifically, the one where Katsuki and Eijiro were.
He was looking at me and, even tho there were no words exchanged, his stare told me he wanted me to sit with him, so I did.
I sat next to him, and placed my bottle on the table, "Hey, Katsuki, how-?" I couldn't finish my sentence because his arms wrapped around my middle before his weight brought me down to the ground, "Ow..." It wasn't a hard hit, but I certainly felt the pain in my head at the sudden roughness of his actions.
"Be quiet," he muttered while backing away from me and shifting his body around. I silently stared at him, wondering what he wanted and what he was gonna do.
Well, soon I got my question answered. He laid down with his head on my stomach and picked up his magazine to continue reading it. I chuckled to myself and reached for my phone in my pocket, if I was gonna be trapped under Katsuki using me as a pillow, I might as well distract myself in the meantime.
A few minutes of everyone answering calls went by, asking for help from others or if anyone could go instead, and like that, Uraraka announced a report of a child missing. I looked away from my phone for a moment and made eye contact with her. I didn't mind going out to find a child, but Katsuki spoke before I could.
"We're not going," I looked down at him, and he was still reading his magazine in blissful silence.
"Don't be like that, Bakugou," Eijiro said while looking at the blond who didn't bother to spare a glance toward the red-headed, "Uraraka, I'm coming with you."
I watched him stand up with the same usual grin he always wore, and I wondered how could he smile so much, he's like Izuku in that regard. They were literally as bright as the sun.
"Does your quirk work to find people, huh?" Realization dawned upon Eijiro and I reached my free hand to pinch Katsuki's nose, making him groan and look at me.
"Be nicer," he frowned and completely ignored me, going back to reading.
In the end, Jiro, Izuku and Uraraka were the ones heading out to find that child. For a while, there was quite some noise around, but soon enough, the entire class was gone to run an errand on the island, leaving only Katsuki and me alone. The peace and quiet was nice, and I was getting bored of my phone, I had no more manga chapters to read anyway, so all I had been doing for the past ten minutes was mindlessly scrolling my social media, and with no one calling there wasn't much I could do.
Especially when I was still trapped under Katsuki.
I sighed and felt my eyelids getting heavier by the second, "Fucking finally..." I heard Katsuki mumble and soon, his head was lifted off my stomach which made me look away from my phone. He was inches away from my face.
"Katsuki?" He smirked and took my off out of my hand, setting it aside and leaning down closer.
"Time to pay attention to me, idiot~," Before I could say anything back, his lips were on mine, his chest pressed against me and his knee in between my legs. His gloved hands held my face as he bit my bottom lip and slightly pulled it, making me wince at the sublet pain I felt.
"Love, wait-," he groaned and was soon straddling my hips, his hands on either side of my head, trapping me.
"Not waiting, I haven't kissed you all day, you owe me," and like that, he pressed our lips together, rougher than before.
"Damn it... Katsuki..." I muttered in between kisses as my hands gripped his hips, and slowly, I sat up, keeping him on my lap, "You're so greedy."
He pulled back and his smirk grew bigger, his hands holding onto the hair at the back of my head, "This is what you signed for when you asked me to be your boyfriend, dumbass."
I couldn't help but smile at the look on his face, and I leaned forward to press my forehead to his.
"Yeah, you're right."

The hours went by, and eventually, our classmates made our way back to the building to continue working.
During one of those times, I got the chance to go out again, this time with Eijiro to help out despite Katsuki complaining that 'shitty hair can do it by himself, why are you going too?', which led to him being scolded by Iida.
We had a fun time out helping others, talking and joking around, a sweet old woman even gifted us with popsicles after helping her, and even though we denied it politely, she didn't take no for an answer, so we ate ice cream on our way back, which was nice because the sun was pretty intense and the heat was getting worse.
A while after, we made it back, and we got to change out of our hero costumes into comfortable clothes, which was pretty nice, but now, with the sun setting, it was time to cook our dinner, and I could tell everyone were pretty worn out after today, so that would be a hard task.
The first couple of days were light work, as the people on the island were unsure of how could students work as heroes until the pro-heroes arrived, but now, after earning their trust, they let loose and asked for our help more and more often.
"Huh?! I stayed at the office on purpose!" The sound of Katsuki's voice distracted me from my thoughts, and I wondered what I had missed while I disassociated, "What would you do if villains appeared while you were out?"
"There are no villains on this island," I chuckled as I mentally agreed with Eijiro-.
For now.
Damn gut feeling, can you not? I'm trying to have some peace.
Thankfully, before I could get mad at myself for having such pessimists thoughts and hunches, the town folk came by and brought us... Food!
They thanked us for our work while putting the dishes on the tables, it looked so good and my rumbling stomach agreed with my conscious, "It's not enough to thank you all, but we brought this."
"Thank you for the meal!"
The entire class yelled in unison causing Iida to panic. He and Yaomomo walked out with the town folk, and we decided to wait until they came back to start eating, which they did pretty soon.
And certainly, the food was absolutely delicious. Although now it was time to...
"Bakugou, or more like Kacchan," Kaminari stopped in front of our table with Sato, Sero and Tokoyami, "We're taking a bath and heading to bed."
"We leave the cleaning up to you!" Eijiro added and for a moment I remembered the room arrangement, these five -along with Mineta- were temporary roommates. There were only three bedrooms, so we had to share after all, even though it was kinda packed in the boys' rooms.
"Why me?!"
"You haven't done anything today," Sero was quick to respond to his question and I had to bite my tongue to hold back my laugh at his expression.
"Damn it..." And like that, they left with quiet chuckles. I changed from my sitting position to kneeling on the ground and I began to pile up the remaining plates before standing up to take them to the kitchen.
"Come on, I'll help you."

Freshly out of the shower, I stood on the balcony of the room I shared with Izuku and the rest of the guys -which Katsuki didn't like- and I watched over Izuku while he did his training, while also waiting for Katsuki to come back from his patrol. He was working on improving his Shoot Style or so he said.
Sometimes, Izuku impressed me. He always worked hard to train his body and get stronger, but now that I know about One For All, it makes sense why he's always trying to get better at everything he does.
I tried to come up with a conversation topic, but I couldn't think of anything, and I felt like Izuku wouldn't want to be distracted during his training, especially with how focused he looked, so I just remained quiet and began to hum a song. The song Jiro wrote for the Cultural Festival. I remember a video of the show was posted on the internet and it kinda blew up, so it was hard to forget about it.
Not like I wanted to forget it, either.
Occasionally, I noticed Izuku looking up at me, and I smiled at him every time we made eye contact, and he smiled back before going back to training.
After a few minutes, over the stone wall surrounding the building, I saw a glimpse of that spiky blond hair and the explosions added to his eye mask.
He probably felt my stare on him as he got closer to the entrance, because he looked toward me, and he saw me easily because I was in an elevated spot. Katsuki smiled at me, a small smile but it was there and that was enough for me.
Unfortunately, that smile was wiped off his face the moment he saw Izuku training at the entrance. He stopped and frowned, and I silently hoped he wouldn't start an argument with the greenette.
Izuku stopped and looked toward the blond, "Kacchan...? Good work patrolling." Katsuki glanced up at me and walked past Izuku.
"Were you able to control One For All a little more?" I had to briefly look behind me just to make sure the balcony door was closed, which it was and I was able to breathe normally again.
"We can't talk about that here!" Izuku did a 'shh' motion, his index finger in front of his mouth as he panicked and whisper-yelled at Katsuki.
"I'm not in the mood," Izuku muttered something about knowing that already, and mentioned them being friends since they were kids, "Then make that quirk yours... And fight with me. Then, I'll show you that I'll be the one to become the number one hero."
This kind of talk and discussion always confused me. I had no intention of stopping them from becoming number one, but... What was so great about it, anyway? Well, I didn't care about hero ranking so it's not like it bothered me, honestly.
I looked away from them as they continued trying to one-up each other, and I noticed a small silhouette peeking from the stone wall before slowly, showing themselves. It was a little boy.
"Uh..." Izuku turned around while Katsuki only leaned to the side to be able to look at the kid.
"You're the boy from this afternoon..."
"There... A vi..." He mumbled while playing with the straps of his overall, "A villain appeared!"
"A villain?!"
"Explain yourself!"
I watched, worried for the little kid, as Katsuki rushed to him. "Where you did see the villain, Katsuma-kun?!" Izuku exclaimed while trailing after the blond, most likely to prevent him from scaring the boy too much.
"Th-that way..." Katsuki groaned and picked him up with his left arm, creating small explosions to warm up before blasting himself in the direction Katsuma had pointed.
"Kacchan!" Izuku ran after him and I sighed, climbing on the railing and jumping off to follow them, although without using my quirk I wasn't exactly fast, making me fall slightly behind the greenette.
"Why are you coming with us, damn Deku?!" Katsuki yelled at him when he realized we were running after him.
"What do you mean why? If there really is a villain..." Even though that was a good reason, Katsuki was not going to accept that.
"(M/n) alone could you beat you six ways from Sunday, Deku! I don't need to have you with us too!" After that, he blasted himself up to the sky with Katsuma, and even though I couldn't hear, I saw he asked the kid something.
Katsuma pointed off into the distance, and Katsuki headed that way with a more powerful explosion, making the poor boy screech for his older sister.
Izuku and I ran after the blond as fast as we could, and we found ourselves heading to the ruins of the castle, "You think... There's a villain here?" I asked Izuku as we got closer.
"The crime rate here is low but... It's there, (M/n)-kun," we continued running for a while longer, and then we had the villain in sight. It was a giant bug, "Katsuma-kun!" Izuku ran faster and I struggled to keep up with him.
The brightness of Katsuki's attack made me have to raise my arm in front of my eyes, but it gave enough light to allow me to see debris I hadn't noticed.
As I approached Izuku, I saw Katsuki standing ahead, the villain about to attack him.
"Kacchan!"
My legs moved me forward to be able to reach Katsuki and help him, seeing as Izuku had completely stopped in place, but then... I saw him coming out from the villain. "Eh...? An illusion...?" We watched as the blond placed his right hand on the ground and used his quirk.
The ground shook at the force of the explosion and... A girl got her hiding spot revealed, "That girl!" How does Izuku know these kids? Did it have something to do with the missing child from this afternoon?
"That hurt! At least get a little bit scared!" I saw Katsuki making his way up to her and I had a feeling he was about to scare her off her skin.
"Were you the one who created that illusion?" She jumped in surprise and sheepishly looked to the side, a guilty expression on her face.
"What... What do you mean by "illusion"?"
"I realized! It didn't have a shadow!" Izuku and I looked at each other, silently asking each other when and how should we interfere with the situation, "Oi, damn brat, do you like making fun of heroes?" The little girl stared up at Katsuki with a now frightened look on her face, crawling back, scared, "I am totally different to the rest of the heroes. I'll beat All Might and I'll become number one, name's Bakugou Katsuki," I noticed Katsuma walking ahead of us, making his way to Katsuki in complete silence, "You made fun of the wrong person."
"Don't get mad at my sister," Katsuma spoke softly, almost hesitant.
"Huh?!" Oh, maybe now is a good time to intervene... "So you're in this with her."
Yep, time to- Oh, well, someone else is doing that for me.
Izuku was the one holding Katsuki back to prevent him from snapping at little kids as he would to others, "Stop, Kacchan!"
"Let go of me, damn Deku!" While they were busy wrestling each other, I held back a chuckle and made my way to the siblings, helping the girl back on her feet.
"Go home, kids, there's a problem we have to solve here," they held hands and began to run away from the ruins, "Be careful!"
"Get back here!" I turned around only to see Katsuki trying to crawl back to the kids, even while still having Izuku on top of him.
"Wait! Just stop!" The greenette covered his eyes and I couldn't keep holding in my laugh, catching Izuku's attention. He looked at me with pleading eyes, still struggling to hold Katsuki back and calm him down, who just continued to grunt and fight back, "(M/n)-kun, stop laughing and help me!"
I took a few steps closer and knelt in front of them, "Sure," I moved Izuku's hands away from Katsuki's eyes and I held his face in my hands instead.
"Get off of me, you bastard-!" Before he could continue to complain, I leaned down and gave him a small, short kiss. It was more of a peck than a kiss, actually, but that alone was enough for Katsuki to completely freeze in place.
And well, Izuku shrieked as he backed away and turned around while hiding his face. "I didn't see anything!"
"You-!" Katsuki spoke and I reached to hold his arms to help him up on his feet, "Stop kissing me in front of others! It's emb... Embar..." The realization of Katsuki struggling to admit he felt embarrassed was a shock to me, although a good one, because I got to see him getting all nervous and worked up about a peck on the lips, "Just don't do it."
And like that, he walked past me and started making his way back to the house the class was staying at.
"Let's head back, it's late," he muttered as he came to a stop before getting too far away from us. Izuku and I began to walk toward him as well, and I saw him taking out his phone, an All Might wallpaper on display.
"It's only eight thirty, though." Staring up into the night sky, it definitely felt like it was way later than just 8pm, but who am I to know?
"You staying up until 3am is the reason why you haven't mastered One For All yet, shitty nerd." I chuckled while Izuku looked at me as if betrayed by my reaction, and I just shrugged, taking longer strides to be next to Katsuki. He was yawning quietly, blinking repeatedly, sleepy.
He definitely needed to head to bed.

"Why do we have to be in separate rooms? I hate it," I glanced at the door to the room I slept in, trying to fix my costume. I woke up slightly late, but no one got mad at me for it, and I was getting ready to go out and start my duties as a provisional hero.
"They were picked by lots, Katsuki, and the number of guys is uneven, it's not exactly comfortable sleeping with other seven guys here," he tsked and walked in. He had a magazine under his arm and began to unwrap his popsicle in complete silence, "Well, I'm gonna go see if there's anything I can help with."
I zipped my jacket halfway and walked over to Katsuki, and he looked up at me with a heavy stare.
"Try not to blow everything up while I'm gone, okay?" I leaned down and pressed a kiss to his forehead, I heard him groan before putting the ice cream in his mouth, grunting and signalling to the door, "See you later, Katsuki."
I made my way down the hall and down the stairs, where Mina said something about some missing luggage, "Oh, I'll go." I muttered while making my way to the front door, "Anyone else wanna come with me? Aoyama?"
"Oui!" He stood up and we heard Mineta's voice as he complained, but thankfully, Mina had a plan to make him work as well.
So in the end, the three of us went out together to find some missing luggage.

And finding that luggage was surprisingly easy. It was located at the very top of the pile where the unclaimed luggage was kept, and even though it was hard to reach it, I managed to take it down and handed it over to the couple that had requested our help.
While they were content about finding their stuff, Aoyama made so many weird turns and I wondered how he hadn't gotten dizzy at all, and of course, Mineta's expression told a whole story as well.
A smile grew on my face as I thought to myself how I'd gotten such great classmates... I've been lucky.
The sound of an explosion snapped me back to reality, and we ran out immediately. Civilians were running past us, frightened while the explosions continued to occur behind them, "Heroes, there's a villain!"
"What-?!" The three of us stopped and stared ahead of us, where red bandages wrapped and controlled things that were human-shaped, "There is a villain here!"
"What is that quirk...?" Just as a precaution and to make sure there weren't any people caught by the bandages, I used my quirk on them. Or tried to.
"Aoyama, your belly laser!" Mineta yelled and the blond used his quirk, cutting the puppets in half and they blew up.
"Oh? I wasn't expecting three heroes at such a faraway place," the villain made his presence known and he was covered with the same red bandages as the puppets. I briefly looked around us and noticed there were still people trying to run away to safety.
That's when I saw the villain's quirk wrapping around cars, vending machines, and anything within his reach, and we saw as they morphed into those human-shaped puppets from before. Well, at least that meant I had to stare at him to stop him.
I stopped his arms and kept my sight locked on him, I didn't know if he had to move around to control the puppets, or if he could just move them freely, but he was a threat to the civilians now, so the best way to end this would be making him pass out, although that takes a lot of focus and time, and I doubted I could do that right now. And after a few seconds, I could see the bandages were still moving around while he was stuck in place, so that answered my question.
That's when he made eye contact with me. His frown let me know he realized I was the one hindering his movements. "How annoying..." And like that, the great majority of his puppets were thrown my way.
I enhanced my arms and punched threw one of the puppets, it blew up almost immediately, and the smoke made me cough.
"Mineta! Aoyama!" I heard both of them respond to my call, and I gritted my teeth as the villain's attacks continued to come my way, purposely blocking himself from my sight, "Get the remaining civilians away from here and call the office for reinforcements!"
"Alright!" They ran to the sides where people had been hiding behind mostly intact walls, and the villain saw them running away from me, a few of his puppets going after them.
I enhanced my legs and jumped high into the air, catching his attention, "Focus on me, asshole!" From my high point of view, I could see half of his upper body, and I focused my quirk on his throat.
"You damn-" his voice cut off with a strain and I focused the energy in my throat, taking a deep breath before releasing a whistle.
The energy beam I had been training at U.A. made its way to the villain, and he covered himself with his puppets, but they exploded after getting pierced through. The beam hit him and he fell back, and that's when I also began to drop. I enhanced my legs to lessen the impact as I landed and I saw Aoyama and Mineta coming back.
"This is bad, (L/n)!" I tried to keep an eye out on the villain as he began to stand up, his puppets moving again and bandages reaching for things that were further than before. Those things have a wide range... "There's no phone signal!"
"Shit..." I got ready to use my quirk, even while he covered his body with his attacks and got ready to run at him, "Cover me guys!"
I ran at him, dodging or blowing up his puppets as I got closer to him. He pulled out a knife and I dodged him barely in time, stopping his arm and legs to prevent him from getting his stance back. Raising my leg, I was able to kick him, hitting his ribs and making him grunt as he stumbled back.
Long-ranged quirks are usually weaker at close combat, so my only option was fighting him head-on and making him surrender or capture him. But seeing how his puppets didn't stop even while fighting me, made me realize this was probably gonna be a wear-off fight.
"Damn villain..."
While our fight dragged on, I saw Mineta and Aoyama having trouble fighting, and my sight was getting blurry and spotty around the edges, so I had to lay off from using it too much or that would be bad, so I was more focused on enhancing my punches and kicks, but the villain wasn't giving up.
Not only was he getting more desperate to land a hit on me, but Aoyama and Mineta were getting worn off quicker than I expected, and the villain's attacks were turning more aggressive.
But I refused to lose against him.
Gritting my teeth and clenching my fist, I ran at him, risking getting cut by his knife, but I had to defeat him, right here, and right now. The people on the island were in danger, and thinking about it, this attack was carefully planned, so the possibility of this villain being here alone was low. He definitely has partners here too.
"I won't lose..." The villain's eyes looked at me filled with anger and hatred, and I told myself I shouldn't flake at that, no matter what his life has been like... He's still a villain. "He would hate it if I lost."
Right, Katsuki?
The moment my fist collided with his face, I felt a sharp pain on my side, and I had to hold the urge to back away from the pain, so I put all the energy I could into my arm, and punched the villain away from me. His body hit a wall and he grunted in pain, he struggled to move while my whole arm twitched and throbbed painfully.
I took a deep breath and glanced back to check on Aoyama and Mineta, they had clearly overused their quirks, but now the villain-
"That was pathetic..." I heard him talk and I looked back at him. He was standing on his feet, the bandages still swirling around in every direction, "Although it was a good try. Sorry, hero..."
Before I could think of what to do now, I heard explosions behind me. But... They were different. Those were-
"This place is filled with useless idiots!" I instinctively turned around, and I saw Katsuki there, standing in the smoke, "Like these damn extras!"
"Bakugou!" Despite the way Katsuki called them, they were definitely happy the spiky-haired blond showed up.
"(M/n)!" I heard Eijiro's voice behind me, and I turned around to see him blocking the knife heading my way, stopping the villain in place.
"Thanks, Eiji!" The villain backed away and he seemed to be assessing the situation. Now we had backup, so the only logical option he had was to run away. Poor him though, Katsuki would never allow him to leave in one piece.
I felt my hair stand on end, and I recognised the sensation as Kaminari's quirk, and yeah, there he was.
"Guys!" Yaomomo, Jiro and Mina were running our way, and they stopped with Aoyama and Mineta, "(L/n)-san!"
"Go with them, (M/n)! We'll take it from here!" Eijirio smiled at me as he hardened his arms, and I couldn't help but smile, relieved at the sight of my classmates.
I took a step forward to make my way over to the girls, but my legs gave out under me, and I was barely able to catch myself before hitting the ground, "(M/n)...!" I heard Katsuki's voice, and soon enough, he was next to me, helping me up.
"Katsuki..." He held my face in his hands and checked me all over, his eyes soon landing on my side, where I had completely forgotten I had an open knife wound.
"Come on, I'll help you," his hand put pressure on my side and he helped me take a few steps, but we could see Eijiro and Kaminari were having trouble fighting the villain, he tsked and stopped in place, "Oi! Ponytail!" Yaomomo turned around at the call of Katsuki's nickname for her, and she rushed over to us.
Her skin glowed as she used her quirk, making bandages and handing them back to Jiro, who trailed behind her a couple of steps.
Yaomomo stopped next to me and helped me walk over to Mineta and Aoyama, and I did my best to avoid putting too much of my weight on her. I looked over my shoulder at the boys, "Eiji-!" His arm was being wrapped by the bandages, but Katsuki blew it and it ripped.
However, those bandages wrapped around him instead.
"Katsuki!" His whole body got covered by the villain's quirk, and Yaomomo hurried to help me sit down against a wall, although I tried to maintain my gaze on the boys.
Maybe... If I couldn't see the villain and control him, I could... Control Katsuki's movements, although that would probably cause him a lot of pain.
The Katsuki-puppet was forced to attack Eijiro and Kaminari, who called out the blond's name. I didn't want to see that villain using Katsuki as he pleased, and I knew my lover didn't want to either, he hated villains and criminals more than anyone I knew, and he was definitely fighting inside those things, so I used my quirk on him, hoping to stop his movements or control just enough for those two to be able to dodge or attack other puppets.
That villain should be pretty worn out and in pain, we fought pretty hard after all, but it seemed like I was the only one who was closer to their limit and that was pretty annoying.
I focused my sight on Katsuki, and I stopped his arm, trying to keep it as still as I could, but my sight flashing white and my head throbbing made me look away.
When I glanced down, I realized Yaomomo was trying to stop the bleeding from my wound, something I hadn't noticed because my side was pretty much numb from the pain, and I caught a glimpse of my bracelet. Right, the painkillers, why didn't I think of that before?
I took a pill out and put it in my mouth, swallowing it dry. It would take a while for the effect to kick in, but it would make the headache more bearable, for now, I had to help my friends.
"Kaminari, on your left!" He turned that way and dodged the smaller puppet, and Eijiro punched through it, blowing it up, "Behind!" I watched as they got into a rhythm with my calls, while occasionally keeping an eye out on Katsuki. He was fighting the quirk, the villain seemed to be struggling to control him however he wanted, and that made Katsuki's movements pretty predictable.
However, the advantage didn't last long because both Eijiro and Kaminari got wrapped by the bandages, but now the villain was within my field of vision. "Chose. You can become one of my puppets, or you can be destroyed by your friend."
And that's when I saw Katsuki moving.
"Don't. Fuck. With. Me!" He lifted his right arm and light started seeping through the bandages, growing as if filled with air before it blew up.
I guarded Yaomomo from the debris flying by and as the smoke cleared, Katsuki stood there, his breath slightly uneven, and I noticed the grenade prop of his costume was gone, "Don't underestimate me, damn mummy."
More puppets were controlled to attack Katsuki, and he dodged them using his explosions to balance himself and get closer to the villain, as he did, the same knife was pulled out, and they began fighting close range. And it was obvious who had the most experience with hand-in-hand combat and who had fastest reflexes.
"(L/n)-san, can you stand?" While observing the fight, Yaomomo helped me get up and I felt way better than I did previously, so I smiled at her to let her know I was okay walking on my own.
In no time, Katsuki grabbed onto the villain's face and rammed him into a wall. I was too far away to hear him when he spoke, but I definitely heard the "Die!" He uttered while pulling the pin of his grenade, releasing the missile into the villain's face, and the quirk was released.
The girls ran after them and asked for the villain, to which Katsuki answered he was slightly injured, and yeah, I couldn't hold back a small chuckle. At that, Katsuki glanced back at me, a very small and subtle smile pulling the corner of his lips. And then the glint in his eyes changed as if he wanted to tell me something.
I couldn't ask him what it was, because he soon blasted himself up to the sky, heading off somewhere. "I'm gonna finish off the remaining villains!"
For a few seconds, I debated whether I should go follow Katsuki, but the pain of the knife cut on my side was enough reason to take it easy for a little bit, besides, we still had to keep that villain in custody and keep the people safe, so I ended up walking up front for a while.
Of course, I wondered and worried if Katsuki was gonna be okay on his own...
"Isn't that...?" Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed something green growing, reaching over the trees, so I turned to look at it. "Midoriya?"
Before any of us could say something, an explosion came off from that same direction, and instinctively I turned around, walking backwards and staring at my classmates' legs, "Sorry, everyone!" They groaned at the pain as they stopped and I spun back around, enhancing my legs and running as fast as I could toward that balloon-looking Izuku.
Whoever he fought against was definitely strong, like... Even if Izuku doesn't have amazing control over One For All, he is strong and he can make tactics on the spot, so this was a dangerous situation, and a dangerous villain for sure.
Even though I felt my body twitching, I continued running, following the sounds of Katsuki's explosions.

The combination of various explosion sounds going off made me wary of what was happening, and I tried to approach as quietly as I could, that way I could maybe sneak up on the villains... But when I arrived...
Katsuki... Izuku...
Before I could react, I saw a flash of red out of the corner of my eye, and I hid behind a tree, peeking out slightly. A woman with long red hair rushed to a man with white hair, black tubes filled with a purple liquid on his shoulders, making holes in the blazer he was wearing.
The man seemed to be in pain, and he looked up, and pointed forward, where I saw Katsuma and his older sister, whom I learned was called Mahoro.
The woman stood up as if abiding by an order I wasn't able to hear. Her hair hardened as she faced the kids and I instinctively activated my quirk on her, keeping her immobilized for as long as I could, despite the spots slowly clouding my vision.
"Get away... From them..." I muttered, stepping away from my hiding spot and she turned her head slowly to look at me over the shoulder.
"What an annoying quirk," the man kneeling next to her, turned to look at me and I noticed the subtle glow in his eyes but I couldn't look at him. This woman was far more dangerous than that man, at least for now, it was clear he couldn't move and she was the threat.
"A quirk that stops muscle activity..." He mumbled between ragged breaths, "He said he wanted it..."
I couldn't think about what he said, too busy trying to figure out a way to get Katsuki and Izuku safe while taking the kids with me. And I soon realized that would be near impossible to do it by myself.
The instant I wondered where the rest of the class was and if they were nearby, a flock of crows surrounded the villains, trapping them and hiding their vision.
I stopped my quirk and ran toward both unconscious males, reaching down to pick Katsuki up in my arms, and Uraraka ran past me, touching the blond's leg with her quirk before doing the same to Izuku.
"Tsuyu-chan!" She called out, and right after, Tsuyu showed up to pick up Izuku and we began to run after Koda and Shoji, who was carrying the kids.

Everyone on the island was a refugee in a fabric, where there were generators that gave us power for the night and the next couple of days.
I was told by the others to rest and heal, but my wounds were minor and already healed by the medics here, so I was good working with giving out onigiri with Aoyama for a while.
When everyone had their share of food, we took everything empty out and cleaned up. Time went by quickly, or it felt like it as my mind was busy thinking about Katsuki. It was late and class 1-A were pretty much the only ones awake at this point. So I went to see him.
On my way there, I took a bottle of water and a straw, since Shotou had told me Katsuma was using his quirk on them, and the poor kid might be tired as well.
Slowly, I opened the door to the room they were being treated in, and I saw they were the only ones inside, along with Katsuma and Mahoro. Both Katsuki and Izuku were still unconscious, which given the fact that they were covered in bandages wasn't as surprising, but it still worried me.
Mahoro looked over at me and tried to smile at me, and I did the same, closing the door behind me and walking further in, making my way to sit in front of Katsuma, careful to not bump either Katsuki or Izuku as I crossed my legs.
I put the bottle down and I reach my hand out to gently touch Katsuki's face, doing the same with Izuku, stroking his curly hair. I looked up at Katsuma and felt proud at how he was so determined to save the heroes who protected them, but also concerned that might hurt himself if he used his quirk too much.
I stayed with them in complete silence, waiting patiently for anything to happen while taking care of Katsuma. I gave him some water and took out some tissues to wipe his sweat every once in a while, and by this point, it was clear he was tired but he wasn't giving up yet.
"Katsuma, at least sleep a little," he shook his head with a denying hum.
"No. I gotta keep going. I have to," a deeper frown appeared on Katsuma's face and he seemed more focused and determined than before. And lo and behold, Katsuki and Izuku began to release a green glow, "Deku-nii-chan?"
"Bakugou?"
Their expressions changed into a frown, and after a couple of seconds, Izuku began to open his eyes, "Kat..suma... (M/..n)..."
"Katsuma-kun," he looked at me without releasing his quirk, "Can you and Mahoro-chan go tell the others they're waking up? They'll be relieved to hear it," he seemed hesitant, probably because he didn't want to leave their side, so I smiled at him and patted his hair, "I'll take care of them for you, alright? So don't worry."
They nodded and got up, walking out of the room. I stayed there, watching over them as they slowly regained consciousness.
Izuku was the first one to open his eyes and attempt to sit up, groaning as he shifted in place, "How are you feeling?" His green eyes looked over at me and then down at himself before rubbing his face with his hands.
"Like I've been run over by a truck," I stifled a laugh and he smiled at me, "But... Isn't as bad as I expected it to feel."
"Yeah, gotta thank Katsuma-kun for that," Izuku looked down at his hands, closing and opening them in fists, probably testing how his ligaments felt.
"I definitely will, (M/n)-kun," after that, he began to fix the top half of his costume, zipping it and standing up, reaching for the red belt kept on top of a chair in the corner of the room, "Take care of Kacchan." He muttered and walked out of the room.
"I don't need... Being taken care of, damn nerd..." Katsuki mumbled and I looked at him, he was also awake, slowly sitting up, "That fucking villain... I'm gonna beat his ass."
A smile grew on my face after hearing a typical Katsuki phrase, he was feeling better, that's for sure.
I inched closer to him, and wrapped my arms around his shoulders, holding him gently so as to not cause him more pain. I was glad he woke up after worrying about him for hours, so I felt like I could breathe normally again. Katsuki's body tensed under my hold, and I was about to back away before he got mad at me, but I felt his arms around me as he relaxed in my embrace.
I took a deep breath, feeling the subtle scent of ash and smoke on his hair before backing away, smiling at him and leaning in to place a kiss on his forehead.
"Come on, let me help you."

The whole class was standing around the tables in the room we were given, the police chief was here with us as well and brought us a map of the island. "Midoriya, what's the strategy?"
"We've confirmed the presence of three more villains, what were their quirks?" Izuku looked up at everyone, and Iida raised his hand.
"The one we fought at the beach had a mutation-type quirk, he looked like a hybrid of many animals combination," A few nodded, probably those who were at the beach together and Iida added right after, "He was strong and could even spit fire, we couldn't even scratch him."
"A body potentiated by a powerful mutant quirk," Izuku mumbled to himself, "What about the woman?"
"She can harden her hair," I spoke when I remember being a few meters away from her, "But I don't know if she can do anything else with it."
That's when the police chief spoke up, telling us about how the people at the port saw her using her hair to destroy the ships and prevent them from escaping the island, and he added the description of her hair being like needles, in a way.
"Well... She can't do much without her hair, right? Let's keep that in mind," Everyone nodded at my comment, and Shotou turned to look at Izuku, who was fiddling with a red sharpie.
"What about the villain you and Bakugou fought? How many quirks did he have?" Katsuki frowned and crossed his arms.
"I counted four," he moved his hand and lifted his index finger, "The lasers, the shield, that blue dragon and the lighting," he counted every quirk he listed, and groaned right after, his frown deepening, "Besides the quirk to steal other quirks, he might have more that we don't know about."
"He also seemed to be in pain after using them, so I'm guessing his body can't handle too much, that's why he wants to get Katsuma-kun's quirk to reactivate his cells..." Izuku added rather quietly.
And I remembered something, "I... I think he may have a search quirk, that's how he found Katsuma-kun so quickly," the class remained silent, processing the information, "And he said something about... He, wanting my quirk, so..."
Katsuki got closer to me and leaned against me, probably his way of wanting to protect me from that white-haired villain, "We can't let that damn villain get close to (M/n) either, Deku."
Everyone was quiet for a moment, and I felt a few stares on me but I didn't pay them any mind.
"How do we defeat them, Midoriya?" Eijiro asked him and he took a deep breath, staring down at the map in the middle of the table.
"This is my plan." He pointed toward the castle ruins, "We'll make our base here, that way, the villains will only have one way to reach us," he gripped the red sharpie he had been fiddling with and uncapped it, marking a straight arrow on the only path available to walk through, "Once they reach this spot here, we separate them," he drew an x and two more arrows going left and right, "From here on, we use the terrain to our advantage and defeat them one by one with the strongest teams."
All eyes fell on Izuku, his frown still prominent on his baby face.
"But first, we need to plan our tactics, starting with splitting them up," Katsuki leaned over the table with his hands, "Sparkly and Ponytail will do that."
Izuku looked at Katsuki and they made eye contact, before nodding, "Aoyama-kun, I need you to use your Navel Laser at its maximum capacity to split them, assuming the villain will use the wind wall to shield himself, the other two will have to run away since they don't have defensive quirks." The blond looked slightly surprised, but remained quiet, "After that, short bursts of laser using the props on your costume will work to spread them further apart, taking them to our traps."
Katsuki tapped two spots on the map, "There is a concave cave in here, one of the biggest on this part of the island, and here there are the waterfalls, we are trapping them here."
I moved slightly closer to watch over Katsuki's shoulder. Both teams have to be stronger than both villains, so the teams should be...
"Tsuyu-chan and Shouto have the advantage in the water, and they make a strong duo, but they will need speed to dodge and attack, along with an unbreakable shield, so Iida and Eijiro should go with them," I heard Eijiro's little 'oh~' at my analysis, "With Tokoyami in the cave, he will be able to use Dark Shadow, and... Mina could give him support. That way, both teams have someone that could cause damage to the woman's hair, so..." I looked up at everyone, and saw their determined expressions, "I think this is a good balance."
"Now, let's focus on the main villain."

As expected, the plan was going according to plan, and now, the white-haired villain was continuing his way toward the kids. "He's gonna be too focused on getting Katsuma-kun's quirk to care about helping his partners or trusting they could win against high schoolers, so he won't stop."
Shoji and I stood next to each other as we watched the villain walking closer to us, Uraraka and Sero getting his attention with rocks and debris that were scattered everywhere around the castle, while Mineta got the trap ready.
We watched, tensed and filled with anticipation that the trap would work and for a moment it seemed like it did.
But he freed himself and the trio had to retreat. However, there was still hope. If the trap failed then Katsuki...
He and Izuku will stop him. And now is when I get to finally help them. With the villain within the 30 meters of reach my quirk has, I can buy them time and give them a bigger advantage over the villain. And as the whole point was for us to stop him, I had to focus on his legs, preventing him from getting closer to the kids.
This tactic worked for a bit, Katsuki and Izuku faced him head-on while I gave them support from afar, accumulating the energy on my legs, but with all the smoke and dust flying around, my sight got blocked quite a few times, but I used my quirk as much as I could, ignoring the headache I felt getting worse with every second that passed.
And that's when the dragon Katsuki mentioned appeared, grabbing Uraraka when she tried to sneak up behind him. Both of them focused their attacks on the blue dragon, and it split into two, and hit them, throwing them back against a wall.
My jaw clenched as I closed my fists, staring at the villain and trying to use my quirk, but the dust going around blocked my sight once again, and all I saw was the dragon moving forward rapidly toward Katsuki and Izuku. Instinctively, I covered Katsuma and Mahoro's eyes, but rights they were about to impact them, they began to disappear.
The dust slowly began to clear and I saw the villain kneeling on the ground, gripping his body. He reached his limit.
But something was off.
Two more black and smaller tubes came out of his back, and the purple liquid got drained, his mask falling off his face, as he stood up.
When he did, Katsuki and Izuku ran at him, and the clouds turned dark grey and they swirled, thunder and lighting covering the sky, and the force of the lightning strike broke the ground, causing the wind to pick up and we had to kneel behind the wall and columns to protect ourselves from the electricity.
There was an eerily silence that lasted less than a second, and we stood up as the air cleared away.
We observed how there wasn't a sign of Katsuki or Izuku anywhere, and the kids called out for them.
"Deku-nii-chan!"
"Bakugou!"
"Guys..." Jiro spoke and we looked at her, she was looking through the small telescope Yaomomo had made, "He's coming..."
I took a deep breath and reached my hand out toward Jiro, silently, she gave me the telescope and I lifted it to my face, looking through it, "Run away, Shoji."
"Take the kids to the escape route," Ojiro added after me. The air was tense, but this was it, we were the last ones who could stop this villain and protect Katsuma and Mahoro.
"We leave it to you." Jiro muttered with a strain on her voice, and Shoji accepted our request, running away with the kids in his arms, "Let's stop him."
"Yeah."
I took a deep breath and activated my quirk, lowering the telescope, my goal was to make him pass out, but it needed time and precision, something we didn't have now, I just had to focus on stopping him any way I could.
So Total Control would have to work for now.
I focused my quirk to keep his legs in place and prevent his arms from moving, but he instantly made eye contact with me, and the lightning started again, "(L/n)!" Jiro's call of my name worked to help me realize lighting strikes were falling close to me, but it seemed like he couldn't control them well if he didn't use his arms, so I refused to lose my focus-
"He wanted you alive... But I will fry you now, kid!" The thunder got louder and I had to back away or I would've been struck by lightning at that moment. It wasn't as strong as it had been previously, but it was enough to make my hair stand on end because of the electricity.
I took a step forward again to get him back in my field of vision, but his lasers were already shooting my way. I wasn't able to dodge them all, as I was more focused on stopping him again before he could continue attacking, but I couldn't dodge the wind wall.
I flew back, landing harshly on the floor, unable to stop my body from rolling, and I hit my head quite harshly, my sight turning blurry and feeling dizzy. I pushed myself to stand up and watched how Jiro and Ojiro were now fighting the villain, with a low groan and holding my head, I enhanced my legs, crouching and taking a deep breath, getting ready to jump to reach Shoji and the kids.
Reaching up top, my body gave out and I fell to my knees, but I got a blurry glimpse of Shoji as he ran toward the escape route we planned.
I began to crawl my way closer to him when I noticed a flash of bright pink-purple-ish light, and I recognized that colour as the laser quirk, "Shoji, careful-!" I turned toward the villain and activated my quirk, trying to prevent him from attacking Shoji, but my sight began to get covered with spots, and this time they were grey spots, making it hard for me to look at him.
I gritted my teeth, angry at myself for being unable to protect the kids.
"I won't... Lose..." I closed my eyes tightly and ignored the sound of my heart pounding in my ears, "I have to... Protect-"
The ground began to shake under my palms, followed by a voice. "Run away, you two!" Jiro was here, amplifying the sound of her heart toward the villain. I opened my eyes and caught glimpses of Ojiro and Shoji going toward the villain to attack him, but he used the wind wall to repel the attacks and blew us away.
I lay on the ground, my sight fading in and out as I slowly lost consciousness.
"Don't..touch the..kids..."

A sharp pain all over my body made me jerk as my eyes opened, and I looked around me.
So... I passed out... For how long? A few seconds-?
"Bakugou!"
"Deku-nii-chan!"
"Don't lose!"
My body turned as I pushed myself up with my arms, and I lifted my head. Mahoro and Katsuma were in front of me, taking care of Shoji, and the villain was slowly but surely getting closer to them. I swallowed hard and crawled my way to the kids while activating my quirk, ignoring the headache and the limited vision I had left.
"Kat..suma-kun..." I reached an arm out to him, and he did the same, I struggled to reach his touch, his hand glowing as he used his quirk, "Let me borrow... Your power for a moment..." I kept my sight focused on the villain as I focused my quirk on his arms.
"You're really... Annoying," he began to activate his laser quirk and, feeling the subtle relief of my headache disappearing, gritting my teeth as my whole body tensed.
"Just..." I groaned as I struggled to stand up, "Back off...!"
My arm raised on its own, making a pushing motion toward the villain, and I felt it. My hand cramped and I doubled over in pain, but I saw how the villain flew back, as if... He was pushed. I didn't have time to analyze what just happened because my sight was fading quicker.
And as I fell to the ground, I was able to see Katsuki and Izuku standing behind the villain.
And Katsuki... Was sparkling the same way Izuku does when he uses his quirk.
"So... That's what it came to..."
There was a bright light illuminating everything coming from the sky, and that was the last thing I saw.

"Boy... Boy, wake up..." I felt my body being gently picked up and my eyes opened, but I couldn't see anything, "It's alright, you're safe now. I need a wheelchair here!"
It was an unknown voice and after a few seconds, I felt myself being picked up from the hard ground and sat on a chair. My head was pounding and I felt sick, unable to ignore the throbbing and painful twitching I felt all over my body.
So the battle was over... And help arrived...
That's great...

The next time I regained consciousness, I was lying on a bed... Actually, it felt more like a couch, 'cause when I graced it with my fingertips I confirmed it wasn't a bed. And when I opened my eyes, there was the same grey colour covering my whole vision and I had no idea how much longer it would be this way. The max is usually eleven hours... I wonder how long it's been.
"Oh, (M/n)-kun, you're awake," Izuku's voice came from my right, and I turned toward him, "Your eyes..."
"Yeah, I know, don't worry," there was a short silence which I used to try and identify if we were alone, "Is there anyone else here with us, Izuku?"
"No, just Kacchan and he's still unconscious," I hummed and nodded, pressing my elbows on the couch to be able to push myself up.
"Do you still have it? One for all?" I asked him quietly, knowing how sensitive he was when it came to talking about his quirk in public. His response made me feel relieved.
"Yeah... I do."
After that, I could hear people coming into the room, probably nurses, but I also heard All Might and Recovery Girl's voice, they talked to Izuku for a bit.
"I've already healed your injuries, boy," Recovery Girl spoke next to me and I looked down at her, even though I couldn't see her I could guess where she was, "Your sight should come back in an hour or less."
"Thank you."
The room was peaceful for a short while until...
"It hurts!" Katsuki woke up, "What happened to me?!" His screams were followed by the sound of Recovery Girl activating her quirk and I could only imagine what the sight was like, making me chuckle to myself.
At last, we were able to smile again.

"Why do I have to be here?" I turned to look at Katsuki and reached to hold his hand, which made him frown and look away, but he didn't refuse my touch.
"Mahoro-chan wanted you to be here, didn't she? And you accepted, it's too late to complain," he tsked and leaned against me as we continued to wait.
We were at the Nabu Port Terminal Building, waiting for Katsuma and Mahoro's dad, as per the request of the kids.
It's been a few days since the villains attacked the island and class 1-A had been helping the townfolk rebuild the destroyed buildings of the city with few injured civilians, the Hero Work Progamm had been suspended, but we decided to stay around for a while longer until we had to leave.
And that day arrived.
I was with Katsuki up top, enjoying the view of the city as the ship began its departure from the port, "I will miss this place."
My boyfriend looked at me and snorted, "You're weird." I laughed at that and nodded.
"You might be right, love."
We stayed silent for a moment and I felt his hand on my forearm, making me turn to look at him. Katsuki stared into my eyes and began to lean closer to me, and I did the same until our lips met each other.
There was some deep meaning behind this kiss, I could feel it, and it came from both of us. The fear of losing each other, and the relief of being back together made this kiss full of emotions that caused shivers to run down my spine and my skin get covered in goosebumps.
We pulled back, and Katsuki pressed his forehead on my shoulder, "I love you, (M/n)."
I reached my hand up to stroke his hair, resting my cheek on it, unable to hold back the smile from growing on my face, "I love you too, Katsuki."
We didn't stay in this position for too long, the sound of footsteps behind us made us glance that way, and we saw Izuku walking out way. "We're already saying goodbye to this island, aren't we?"
"I'm glad," Katsuki uttered while glancing away, "Is it okay for you to leave without saying bye to those little brats?"
"There were a lot of things I wanted to say to them, but..." He smiled and closed his eyes, titling his head down, "It's alright, I'm sure they'll understand."
"Oi...! Oi...!" The faint sound of high-pitched voices reached our ears and we looked down. Mahoro and Katsuma were there, running toward the ship.
"Deku-nii-chan!"
"Bakugou!"
"Everyone! Thank you for protecting us!"
A smile grew on my face at them thanking us, and I felt glad we were able to win the battle. "Deku-nii-chan! I'll become stronger! At least, I wanna protect my father and sister! That's why... I'll get stronger! And I'll become a hero like Deku-nii-chan, Bakugou-san and (M/n)-san!"
Oh, me too?
"I won't forget those words, damn brat," I glanced at Katsuki, seeing the smirk on his face, and I smiled as well, feeling happy.
"Katsuma-kun!" I turned toward Izuku as he yelled, "You... You can become a hero! I'll be waiting for you at U.A.!" He waved at them with his arm high above his head, and I waved at them as well.
"Don't prank the new heroes too much, Mahoro-chan!" She laughed at my words and nodded, stopping next to Katsuma as she waved us goodbye.

Finally reached volume 27. 26 just about killed me, and I'm so anxiously excited for what's to come.
what are your thoughts sojiro and the kimono tying scene? I doubt there's any emotions on his part, but it seemed he took longer/more care with Yuki's than with Tsukushi's. He said it was because of Tsukasa, but I wonder what you think?? Am I reading too much into this or was he telling the truth?
Sojiro's feelings are a complicated topic for everybody involved.
Before answering your question, I'm going to warn you that it might be a little spoilery depending on how much you remember the manga ending.

Now going to the actual answer:
On one hand, he was just doing his job and probably tied the yukatas of the other characters (oh God, imagine the comments Sakurako made), or at least of the ones who don't know how to tie a yukata (which gives us... uhh... idk how many of them know how. I'm gonna bet Shigeru knows and maybe Akira too). And Makino has always exaggerated their relationship in her head and was even more alert than usual because of Yuuki's confession at the shop.
On the other hand, Sojiro feels a lot of affection towards Yuuki. You can see how he treats her in a much softer way compared to other girls, like in the yukata scene you mentioned, and how he is always interested in the topic of her. Sojiro is also a very horny gentleman (or at least he wants to believe he is) so he tries to act nicer to girls he has some kind of affection or attraction to at least before he sleeps with them.
(But also the way he treats Makino is not a good comparison because these two are like annoying siblings who pick on each other, so he would be harsher to her no matter what. lol)
Sojiro's actual feelings are a complicated topic I believe even he is unable to give a clear answer about. The boy has fallen in love in the past (with Sarah), so he is definitely able to feel romantic attraction, but he feels unable to do it again because of his childhood trauma. But at the same time he wants to feel love again!!! He is still looking for it during one of his outings at the ending of Hana nochi hare:

And it's tragic! Stop Sojiro's suffering! Let my man be happy! With Yuuki! It's why I prefer his ending in the Kdrama and the versions after it. They give him a more hopeful ending. I get the message the mangaka was trying to send by making them not end up together (players won't magically change with the power of love and insistence). And I think she is right in a real life setting, and their story in the manga is beautiful in its own way, but I also care too much about Sojiro to see him suffering even five years after the ending. lol

But going back to the topic of Sojiro and Yuuki, Sojiro claims he can't love Yuuki because he is not sexually attracted to her but (besides the obvious scene near the end of the manga) he has shown sexual interest in her at the beginning of the manga during a party.
(It sucks that all my sources are not in english so i can't put it here but, chapter 17, volume 3. Let's all pretend there is an image here.)
Knowing this, and how much he would call her cute back then, I believe his interest in her did start as some kind of sexual attraction, maybe even a crush, but it died as soon as she became closer to him. Again, that's his trauma working.
Knowing this, can we say Sojiro's affection to Yuuki is romantic in nature? Who knows! It's not unlikely, considering he falls for her in many adaptations. But Yuuki is very important to him either way and that's why he was acting like that during the yukata party. He cares about her in his own way.

-In his 'real' character, Hifumi is quite energetic and talkative, so it doesn't matter if you're a shy one or as bubbly as he is - you ended up being friends anyway.
-Maybe just bump into each other in a store and suddenly have a whole talk about a new product you both decide to buy. Ahh, Hifumi knows a few good recipes with this thing, and he's always willing to share his cooking secrets!
-Or maybe you visit his work to pick up your friend late at night and he thinks that you're just her brother or boyfriend, and another, simple conversation goes between you two.
-It doesn't really matter as Hifumi is just really friendly in both his modes, especially if you would respond back with interest.
-Cause it seems his fear is more concentrated not around appearance or behavior, but the fact that it's actually a woman in front of him, due to the manga, so he easily can take your look at face value. (referring to this chapter when he and Doppo meet a little boyish girl, and he thinks it's a boy.)
+It also probably means if he met a really 'feminine' boy, he, once again, wouldn't be scared by his look, if he knew it's a male??
-So even if you, despite short hair and rather baggy clothes, have pretty soft face features or a feminine voice, he doesn't really care, absolutely sure you are an ally, a man.
-He never even doubts it, actually - you just know how to win people over, do you? Because Hifumi really got interested in you pretty soon.
-"Hey, s/o, s/o, wanna go with me and Jakurai-sensei fishing?! It's so so fun!!" - with a cheerful giggle he holds both of your hands and starts jumping in place, causing your arms to wiggle up and down along with his movements. - "And then we can go to my place, I want to cook our catch immediately, hehe!"
-So yea, chilling in his shared house with Doppo was kinda common thing for you.. And if in the beginning you felt kinda guilty for literally taking advantage of your pretty boylike appearance and Hifumi's naiveness, you quickly forget about this. Because he always knows how to make you forget about everything, fooling around and making you laugh with his goofy antics.
-The only moments when you do feel yourself like a criminal are evenings when your ebullient friend gets more quiet, just cuddling with you and sharing his thoughts about his fear. It was so hard sometimes even for someone so careless as him, and he loves to find peace in your arms and soothing words.
-You do understand this cannot go on forever, and ideas about how to finally tell the truth without hurting his feelings too much keep shooting through your mind. Yet uh oh, the solving of your crime happened before you were able to choose your own way.
-Because.. Hifumi is so reckless in his desire to have some fun with you, and sometimes he gets too clingy. Only in a friendly, playful way, yet it doesn't mean his hands can't accidentally brush against your chest during some tickle fight..
"N-no, Hifumi, really, I'm gonna die like that..!" - A small weak chuckle bursts out of your chest as you run away from your friend, holding your sides.
"He~he, I'm gonna catch you again..!" - his footsteps quickly get closer as he catches up with you and grabs your shoulders, pushing down.
With a little thud you both fall into the carpet, giggling and fighting, hands on each other's waist. Your guard got down and you didn't even try to watch if your baggy clothes actually cover your body, too busy with making Hifumi laugh. So when another fit of laughter covers him and his arms, trembling, accidently moved from your waist to your chest, grasping here, you both gasps and froze, shocked.
It's even hard to say whose face gets redder as you just look at each other for a moment, before Hifumi sprang away like a scared deer to the other side of the room, leaning to the table leg, still looking at your widened eyes. Open his mouth, then close, then open again, and you didn't notice that you actually repeated his actions, but also didn't know what to say, both embarrassed and scared.
"I..Hifu-"
"Are you a girl???" - with a high pitched voice he tries to get up just to hit the table top.
"Omg, Hifumi, are you alright?!"
And despite you probably should move away, you actually get closer to his now sobbing figure as he grasps poor hitted the back of his head. Your hands caress his shoulder and for a moment Hifumi whines, as this simple touch arises one of the most strange feelings in his chest. The pain gripped him at the heart from the thought of the woman being actually so close to him, yet the way you pet him was still so reassuring.. Still so familiar.
"Hifumi, I will bring some ice, okay? Does it actually hurt that much? Should I call an ambulance?" - and your worried voice still sounds so soft. His fear always affects his mind, making any sounds from girls around Hifumi sound so sharp and dangerous, yet there is nothing like that with you, as he gets too used to your presence.
His head doesn't even hurt that much, actually, yet here he is, leaning to your shoulder and sobbing in a weak attempt to hide his face. Because it would be too hard to look at your face right now, as Hifumi himself doesn't know what to say. He's afraid, but doesn't want to lose you. As only now he suddenly asks his own feelings and realizes just how deep you actually get into his soul and heart.
"Hifumi..?" - you slowly tried to pull him away to look at his face and finally bring some ice from the kitchen, yet his arms quickly wrapped around your waist as he buried his face in your neck.
"No.. Let's sit like that for a moment.." - his whole body tremble, making his weak voice a little shaky too, yet you didn't push him off, trying to stroke his hunched shoulders as light and soft as you could.
-You thought that after such a terrible accident your friend would totally break off all communication with you, and honestly you can't even judge him, putting all guilt on your own shoulders.
-Yet after a few days he will show up again, asking you shyly to help him in fear. Well, maybe not in a really good way he found out about you being a girl, but the main thing is that he can spend much more time around you then around other females, so it means you kinda can help him health.
-So slowly everything goes back to your normal routine, as you would going for walks or hanging out in his place again. For the new beginning you were pretty soft and careful, as Hifumi also got more coy, touching you much less than usual.
-Only thoughts about you always being so friendly and harmless with him fills him with determination, and after some time you both get used to each other again.
-Or.. Do you? As sometimes you can notice some sort of blush on his cheeks when you sit too close for a long time, watching something together, and when you touch his hands his fingers start to tremble but Hifumi himself didn't act scared..
-Confusing, you just let things go, waiting to see what it will lead to. Cause maybe, just maybe, you feel some sort of interest in him, more than a friendly one, that you always try to suppress, knowing his fear.
-But with such careless attitude you both didn't notice when everything got so serious, and one day another movie night ended up with a soft kiss. And then another, longer one, as Hifumi realizes your lips didn't electrocute him, but actually lure him to feel your softness more.
-"S/o.. I.." - he mumbled after you pulled away, breathing heavily and trying to stop blushing so hard. - "I think I love you.. C-can you stay overnight? I need to kiss you more to fully understand.."

Silver Talks AniManga (07/04/24)
new season starting and a new serialization round on wsj too next week fun times fun times
also there's some shows that I haven't started that should be on the list, those being:
- Shinymas, which started on friday and CR supposedly picked it up but still hasn't posted subs yet 😒and there's no fansubs either
- Jellyfish, dogakobo's new show that I posted about when it got announced. I wasn't sure about it so haven't watched ep 1 yet, but my buddy mega liked it and said it has promise so it convinced me to actually do it next week in one of my days with no shows
- Girls Band Cry, similarly to jellyfish I posted about it when it got announced. I love the character designer and have followed them for years so I was curious about the show but learning that it was gonna be CG was a huge turn off. Since it came out I've seen some clips and the cg is actually really good so I'd like to check it out regardless of it being like that. There's just a huge problem, that it's not officially licensed anywhere and the subs fucking suck ass (whole drama thing around them I won't get into) so unless it gets proper subs in the next few weeks then I'll have to pass on it

Mission: Yozakura Family Ep1
that was a good first ep. there wasn't anything impressive but if they keep up this quality throughout the whole run and just have some sakuga crumbs sprinkled in every now and then I'll be content. from the PVs the first few eps all looked good and it's been confirmed for a while that it's 2 consecutive cours so that gives me some hope. Also the whole voice cast is very good but that's to be expected from such a star studded cast
but anyway yozakura is a very fun manga with a very likeable cast so I'll be looking forward to this every week
Blue Archive Ep1
well that was about as good as I expected, really good ep 1. TERRIBLE subs tho so I'll be hoping a fansubbing group picks it up soon. It's been a billion years since I saw these early parts of the story since I've been playing the game since launch but I still remember it p well. I'm assuming they'll cover the whole abydos arc and only that from what we know from pvs and stuff, so should be a fun time, especially when aru and the crew show up too.
Looked really good, animation was nice too, voices were good too ofc and hearing the game tracks in the anime was nice too. I'll be looking forward to this while it airs for sure
Metallic Rouge Ep 13 (Finale)
MR was bones' 25th anni show so I had some good expectations and I thought the premise was neat too (felt like blade runner) but it turned out very lackluster. I shoulda known that the glut of bones' talent is allocated to mha but I still wanted to have some hope for the show. my buddy mega gave it a 4 and that's probably fair, the show is riddled with issues but I liked the performances enough to be a bit softer with it (miyamoto yume and kurosawa tomoyo [the two mains] especially)
but anyway, animation was pretty weak all through the show, even having times where it felt off model. there were some crumbs of sakuga but never anything actually impressive like you'd expect from bones, even in the finale.
the story was pretty hard to follow for a good while too cause they decided to start mid journey so there was a ton of stuff the characters talked about like everyone should know but we'd have no way of knowing and then also did a not great job of explaining things until way later on. also the finale was looking like it was gonna end on a sequel hook which made me ??? but it actually didn't so that's good
the music was actually p good and I enjoyed a buncha tracks from it and the voice performances were good too
anyway, not a terrible show but not worth the watch too, which is a shame for an anni project like this, oh well
The Witch and the Beast Ep12 (Finale)
well that was alright. I had higher expectations for it cause like I said on ep 1 I heard good things about the manga but it was alright. Doesn't help that the show didn't have very much in the way of animation. It had a lot of cool drawings but the animation itself wasn't much to talk about. The cast was good tho and the music was also nice albeit not that memorable.
As for the story, I don't mind anthology series like this but all the world explanations and reveals that they did at the end of this finale shoulda been waaaay earlier in the show, cause it actually made me a lot more interested in the world, but maybe that's just me and my DM brain being like that and most people like how it was already.
My favourite of the stories/arcs was the sword witch one, not just cause swords pog (tho it helps), but just cause it had some really cool moments and I liked the charas more
Anyway, the finale ended on a sequel hook but there hasn't been one announced (at time of writting) and I don't expect to see one either but I also said that about wedding rings and chained slave and was wrong about those so who knows really. Dunno if I'll ever end up reading the manga but the anime didn't put it completely out of question and I did like the lore they gave this ep so we'll see
Bucchigiri Ep12 (Finale)
well that was nice. it's funny how I only learned about this show like a week before it started while I had been looking forward to MR for a while and MR turned out a lot weaker. it was a bit unfocused at times but it was still good.
I didn't go in expecting much out of the animation cause it's mappa and jujutsu s2 had just ended and you know all the stuff that was being talked about it around then. and I was right not to, cause there was never anything impressive really, tho the few fights that did have coreography looked cool
oh also it had the best OP/ED of the season like I said on this post
show felt pretty old school too, not just cause of the designs but the general low tech (no smartphones or anything) so that was nice
not really much more to say about it, it's not a show I'd recommend watching but it also wasn't a waste of time. it was just a way to spend some 20 mins having a fairly enjoyable time every saturday

man I've known kabru is a little freak from all the posts I've seen about him here but he's even worse than I thought. and worst of all is I could relate to him in some parts 😔 tho knowing some of the stuff that's coming I know there's more differences than things in common but still
good ep tho, even if I'm not a big fan of him or his party (yet?)

MamaYuyu Ch29 (Finale)
I know it's weird for a finale to end of a cliffhanger like below but it's cause the actual final chap will be in the volume release. shame that it turned out like that but not much you can do about it.
it was a good series tho, from the start you could really tell from the designs that the author worked as an assistant to horikoshi. their panelling is super creative and unique and the art was really good too. the action was clear and easy to follow for the most part and the power system was neat as well. I'm totally convinced that this author could have a hit in the future if they keep doing serializations.
I've said this a billion times for the last handful of series that have ended but it's a shame that something like nue keeps trucking along and doing decent in the rankings while good series like this get axed.
the 7 score is provisory cause we don't have the actual finale, but I doubt it'll be bad enough to make me downgrade it to a 6 so it'll prob stay like that. I'll be looking forward to whatever hayashi does next, like I said before they certainly have a lot of potential

Chainsaw Man Chapter 134 Analysis
Woah hey bit later than usual with this one. Had a moment there when I began to grow disillusioned with the current chapters direction. Watched some Baki (2001) and a giant ape taught me the beauty in all things. Anyway, Chainsaw Man.
Chainsaw Man will die before the end of Part 2.
The Manga has to end eventually. Fujimoto doesn't seem like the kind of author who can leave a story off on "And so the adventure continues". They've already rolled out a replacement Chainsaw Man. If the original died then there's always a Chainfraud Man to replace him.
This chapter felt like it was backpedaling. These last few chapters have all felt that way. Defusing the tension of the previous chapter or even the current chapter immediately. I can understand the reason behind it now, But I still don't like it.
These chapters are here to mirror Denji himself instead of the narrative. We only got to see the peaks of his development without the blank middle. Like I said, I get cutting out the sections where "Nothing interesting happens" but that also defuses alot of tension. I would've much rather we had gotten an Asa Chapter or Two after 132's ending before we got to see what happened with Denji and Nayuta. It feels like it was just written for the weekly audience instead of for the quality of the story as a whole. Reading these chapters back to back it's just.
132. Denji & Nayuta are captured; Oh this is real bad what are they gonna do??
133. Oh- They let Denji out. Oh wow okay thats a rough ultimatum- Nevermind.
134. Okay he's thought about it more.
Because clearly time has passed between each of these chapters. But we don't get any of that time to pondering on what could've happened. It feels rushed is what I'm trying to convey.
Idk maybe I'm supposed to feel discontent with what's going on to mirror Denji's feelings. If that's intentional then yeah I guess it's doing it's wrong. This entire chapter is Denji trying to rationalize his decision to himself. He clearly wants both. He knows it, Nayuta knows it, Yoshida knows it.
I can't help but wonder how Denji would be acting if he hadn't lost Aki and Power. He's acting the way he is now because he doesn't want to experience what he did again. He doesn't want to be dragged back down to hell.
I'll get a bit out here for a second. But I think the TV scrolling's message is intentional and important.
Obviously the nouns here aren't exact. Grandpa and Golf aren't the important things here. Keep in mind this is pretty out there and I don't think this is like- Be all end all. So I'm gonna show you basically what I'm seeing here. Also Grammar aside;
I don't know how intentional it is but it mirrors what happened in 133 when you look at it from this angle.
This whole scene is kind of upsetting looking back on it. In Denji's Mind this is his out. He can have two options right now. He isn't turning into Chainsaw Man to do this but he's still Chainsaw Man. Meaning he won't be breaking the rules. Nayuta won't have to get hurt. It'll all be-

The Church are clearly Religious Zealots. It's interesting that they're using Abrahamic Religion as a basis for their uh- Beliefs? Goal? I'm not sure.
I wanna go into some of the deeper meaning of this. So obviously it's time to talk about Christianity.
*Side Note: Was Jesus a real person in the CSM universe?
Adam and Eve were created by God as pure beings. Adam was created first however God soon after used half of him to create Eve. They lived in Eden which was a perfect paradise. However Eve was tempted by the Devil into breaking the only rule set in place by god by eating the fruit of knowledge. Adam not wanting Eve to suffer alone did the same.
That's the basic of it. I think it's safe to assume what they really want to do is turn the world back into Eden. A world without Evil. However they seem unaware of the utter impossibility of that. Especially without the actual Chainsaw Man.
We as the Audience know that any devil consumed by the Chainsaw is forgotten by humanity, Thus they lose all power. But the thing is this ability's activation conditions are still questionable. Pochita ate War's Guts yet War continued to exist, He only took Nuclear Weapons. Denji ate Makima yet Nayuta exists as the current Control Devil. Maybe because he wasn't in his chainsaw man form?
So how can they create a world without Devils? Is it simply an Ideal to strive for instead of an actual goal? As in they just kill all the devils and everything- Okay that's not going to happen. We've seen the pattern. They're going to start dating the Devils again. God damn it.
It's sad to see the Church take away all the suffering Denji has been through and put it onto someone else. Imagine if Jesus was replaced by some random guy who claimed to be the true son of god. Jesus still existed and went through all that shit to forgive the sins of humanity, Yet everyone just accepted this new guy was the real deal and the one who saved them.
This last page is also real sad.
Denji doesn't deny that his guy is Chainsaw Man now. He doesn't say "He's not Chainsaw Man!", He says "I'm more Chainsaw Man than him!". He's accepted the fact he can no longer be Chainsaw Man. But he still craves that acceptance. He wants people to like him specifically, and for that to be taken away by a guy he's only met once. It's real rough. I know that this isn't where it'll end for Denji. But there's a part of me that Wishes it was. If he stopped here he would get to live that life he wanted at the start of the series. But that life isn't enough anymore. Stagnation leads to the risk of falling back down to where you were before.
And Denji doesn't want to be dragged back down to hell.

Episode 11 is as though Chris decides to salvage his safe box of suppressed trauma from the depths of the ocean to show us what’s inside before he proceeds to dump it again, but this time dragging all of us along with it. Enough said.

Chris’ past and motivation reveal is bittersweet, and endearing (bratty baby Chris!), but nothing too unexpected. It’s more interesting to note that Chris never said that he’s planning to X-hand with 4-of-a-kind like Tyler did, but is aiming for an “X-blind” instead. Which, coincidentally is also something Ban wants, hence probably why the Klondikes are siding with him for now. What is it, really, and what’s its consequence? The question remains.
And while we’re at that, what the hell is that explosion that Chris got caught up in? Are explosions just common occurrence in Fourland? Lol
Yay me, I was right in guessing that the package was sent to Chelsea! He deserves the slap big time though lmao.
I didn’t see Lindsey of all people coming, but it’s a nice surprise! Is there a significance in the number 200,000 that Chris gave? Was it mentioned anywhere earlier? I feel like it was.
Unexpectedly the scene that wrecked me is Finn’s slight pause after saying “Chris is my...” followed by “he has Michelle as his family, though”. What’s wrong with the two of you...? Finn and Chris cares deeply about each other yet their relationship is something deliciously complicated... these two can make me laugh as well as cry the most...
Leo biting his nail and getting teased by both Vijay and Wendy owns my heart.
The part where Chris says “You too... wants to be back together?” but in the end hardens his resolve is so stupidly dramatic in a good kind of way. (Yes, together! I yelled from the other side of the screen, Finn is such a mood these days).
So... at its core, High Card is about family? Found family? Or how you define family? Totally my jam.
Owen finally does show up at last minute only to headshot Chris is hilarious. The entire sequence was so cool not gonna lie. At least we get to hear Chris’ iconic line again and now I’m sure that Owen owns a Diamond card.
What to look forward for next week: A second season lmao.
At this point I’m not sure where this is going. At first I thought for sure that Chris is going to side with the Klondikes, but... he isn’t? He’s more of a wild card? Jokes aside, I guess we’re going to find out what X-blind is soon. And wtf do you mean next ep is legit titled “FINN”? Lmao staff really said do not separate these two.
But if I had to make a wild guess. Considering how stubborn the entire High Card members are, and assuming that Finn is sitting in passenger’s seat in the PV, what about all of them defecting from Pinochle and becoming nationwide group of fugitives, Bonnie and Clyde style? And also Finn’s big bro reveal at some point, because, come on. Chris needs a contender!
Speaking of Chris, if you pay close attention, I think this episode is the first time ever we see something narrated from his perspective. Manga is Percy-centric, novel is Leo-centric, most of the short stories are Finn-centric but none is narrated by Chris even if he appeared in most of them! We even had one from Vijay’s, the canon token mysterious dude, but not a single one from Chris. Sure, he talks a lot in this ep and it goes against the “show not tell” rule, but it’s somewhat special if you put that fact into consideration.

Anime only watchers and people who aren't caught up with the Manga, BEWARE... Cuz I'm about to discuss Spy X Family Mission 76... You have been warned...! 👌
[SPOILERS AHEAD FROM THIS POINT ON]
Today's chapter was a fun and simple one, and it had quite a few moments that really enjoyed...! 😊 So let's talk 'em!! 😁
(Sidenote: I have not been feeling too well these pass few days, so I'm gonna try and keep this review short so that I can get some more rest...! 👌)
One of my favorite parts of this chapter was in the beginning, when Twilight shows some concern for Anya's wellbeing after the whole bus hijacking incident:
It always warms my heart when this man shows that he cares about his family (even if he won't fully admit it...!! 😌)
After that, Twilight drives Anya to school, which leads to this conversation between the two:
Anya definitely understands that there's something not quite right with Damian's family, so I wonder what she'll do with this information in the future... 🤔
We then get this little conversation between Henderson and Mr. Tutor in residence:
I just thought that this was some very interesting information...! 🙂
Then, we see Damian get dropped off at Eden as he runs into as Ewen and Emile, who ask him if he had a good time seeing family again... Which led to this flashback:
Now, there were two things that went through my head at this part:
One, Melinda didn't eat with her son, which made me upset at her again... 😡 But, she did cook the whole meal by herself... Which is sweet in all, but she could've at least ATE WITH HIM...!! 😫
And two...
THAT'S JEEVES...?! 😲 (He's pretty handsome... 😳)
Uhh, a-anyway... Anya eventually shows up to school as these two girls call her a hero...
...Which leads to some chaos...!! 🤣 Anya is truly a menace at times...!! 😌
So many insane back and forths with Anya and the other kids, including this exchange (courtesy of Damian calling Anya a peasant again):
Damn... 😅 You kids really don't get out that much, do ya...? 😌
Then, as Anya what talks about gets more and more out of hand, Becky tries to help her not sound like she's lying (like what they thought in back in Mission 57...!) Which leads to Anya act / think like her papa!! 😂
Oh Anya... You really are Twilight's daughter...!! 😌
And finally, we end this chapter with Anya and Damian arguing (after Damian made Anya cry) and narrator states this:
And that was Mission 76, it probably wasn't what most people were expecting (especially since we had to wait a whole month for it), but at least I had fun with it...!! 😊 I'm very curious to see what happens in the next chapter, but for now... I'm gonna go rest up and try to feel better soon...!! 👌

No one.. is gonna come hurt you anymore..
Today was the day.
The day of the sacrifice, Everyone was really excited, happy even, Long tables with lots of food on it, lights all over the village, the elders having a wonderful drink together as the kids danced with joy
How can they be so happy at an event like this? is it because they are offering another sacrifice so the gods can protect their village?
Well lets get to know the sacrifice and how she became one hm?, The sacrifices name was Sumire Akane.
She was already meant to be a sacrifice ever since she was a little kid, how innocent, she thought she was getting married at an early age.

The Village chief and an Oni is seen walking along beside a house
"I'll leave the guarding to the next sacrifice to you." Hakubo's head perked up and started listening to the old man
"Just like in the past. If she ever tries to run away vreak her legs, if she doesn't listen vlind her eyes, dispose of anyone who tries to lead her away"
"Yes." Hakubo answer in a monotone voice
The old man halt into a stop making Hakubo also stop in his tracks.
He sighed "Only six years old, a child who understands nothing... Those Akane's giving her to us while she's still so young, it seems they don't want the kannagi to resent them" The old man looked back at Hakubo
"I don't suppose an Oni like you could handle a child well.. Well it doesn't matter as long as she doesn't die, do as you please." The old man opened the sliding door "Yes sir." Hakubo bowed and steped inside
He was greated with a little girl kneeling on the floor
"I'll be in your care for today, my name is Sumire, on this occasion I have been assigned, a highly honorable duty, It's a pleasure to meet you"
Hakubo stared at baffled "Um.. yes.."
The little girl who claimed herself to be Sumire rose up "So then.." She gave Hakubo the most cheerful and beaming smile "You must be Sumire's Husband!"

.
"Eh? you've got it all wrong.." Hakubo told her making her head tilt in confusion
"But Sumire heard that she was gonna be a bride.."
"You're gonna be gods bride, I'm just your caretaker. Do you understand?" Sumire nodded her head as Hakubo eased up a little from that
"Then you're Sumire's Informal Husband!!"
Strucked. Hakubod grabbed a skull of what looked like a deer and hid his face underneath
"You're absolutely delusional.."
"ehhh??"
Being the babysitter of a young child was how it was supposed to be, his job was to be a caretaker for a young kannagi until the day of her sacrifice, how bad could it be?
'How did it end up to be like this..' He deadpanned as he stared at the most delicious meal infront of him cooked by yours truly Sumire
Sumire grabbed the chopsticks and picked up some food for him and pointed it at his mouth
She giggled as she placed her hand on her cheek with imaginary flowers around her
"Here my husband! Say 'ahh~'"
Hakubo obeyed nonetheless and opened his mouth and let Sumire feed him. We all know his faced on that chapter screamed humiliation
"So how is it? I hope it is to your taste" She perked up as sge awaited for his response
"I dunno."
"My, how honest~"
After Hakubo finished eating he stood up and headed towards the door to get some work done but was stopped by Sumire
"Here a goodbyes kiss~" Hakubo deadpanned as he let Sumire kiss him on the cheek
'Dear god..'
When Hakubo was done with, whatever work he was assigned to
He went back to Sumire to check up on her
But he found her scrubbing the floors..
"Ah! You're home!" She stood up as Hakubo stared at her wide eyed as his eyes slowly travel down onto the sparkling floor
He could see his own reflection
Sumire wiped off the sweat on her forehead as she smiled and pointed to her cheek "Hey where's my "I'm Home" Kiss?"
Hakubo just ended up chucking his dear head onto his head as Sumire stood shocked
She pouted as she took off his.. 'hat' and pushed him into the bath "The bath is ready for you!" She said as she led him to the bath, at this point Hakubo just accepted his faith
Sumire turned around, was she not gonna get out? whatever.
After Hakubo stripped all his dirty clothes off, he hopped onto the batg and just relaxed
Sumire smiled as her husband looked really relaxed, her idea for a hot bath worked~
"Relax now it'll warm you up~"
After his bath he dressed up
served dinner as usual
Sumire threw a huge fit when she found him sleeping in another futon
so to make her shut up cause he had a long day he grabbed his pillow and layed down next to her
Hakubo stared at the ceiling as Sumire finally quiet downed.
She sighed a sigh of relief as she hugged his arm "goodnight~" patting his arm as she closed her eyes, He deadpanned.
He rose up making Sumire open one of her eyes
"Ain't this weird?"
"There's nothing weird about this, after all.." She smiled at him as she placed her hand on her cheek
"You're pretty useless when it comes to housework.." she sighed

.
"Eh?"
"You skip doing the laundry, You can't cook meals and you can't run a warm bath. Honestly you can't be my caretaker! Not in a hundred years!" She pouted as Hakubo
He sighed, he just wanted to rest
"Hmp! If it bothers you so much you should play the role of being Sumire's husband!"
Hakubo crossed his arms as he looked down "Play the role of a Husband.. What exactly would that entail?"
"Oh! well in that case, let's go to the flower field tomorrow!"
And just like that, they slept pretty easy last night
well except Hakubo
the next day, he kept his promise and brought her to the flower field
as she ran wild and free, just like any child would do
Sumire's giggles were heard as she ran around the field as Hakubo kept a close eye on her "Wow dear look at all these pretty flowers!"
"uh, yup.."
"wrong! you were supposed to say Sumire was prettier than the flowers!"
"Right.."
Sumire hummed as she did her own thing, Hakubo sat on the ground observing her moves as it was disturb, hearing faint whispers in a distance.
He didn't turn around to not make it look like he was eavesdropping.
"Hey look thats the sacrifice.."
"Ah, the Kannagi and is that Minamoto-san's pet oni?"
"Geeze.. The kannagi is so carefree.. even thought they'll kill her before long." Hakubo perked his head up and looked at their direction
"It's just a brat and an Oni. They don't understand anything."
His silence was soon disturbed with someone placing a flower crown on his head, he looked back and saw a smiling child infront of him
'how are you not scared..'
Sumire smiled as she pointed at his flower crown "Now were matching! Although it doesn't suit you.." Hakubo just deadpanned
Sumire's fit of giggles was disturbed when she heard the sound of a crying bird in a distance, she moved some bushes away and gasped "Awh.. poor thing, Don't worry Sumire will take good care of you"
She picked up the injured bird and followed Hakubo back to their shared house (?)
days turned into weeks, turned into months and into years. Sumire was no longer the carefree little girl Hakubo was taking care of.
Not only Sumire grew up, But also Hakubo.
He walks back to where Sumire is with blood on his feet. He slides the door and shows Sumire treating another injured animal.
She pets the rabbit as she opened her eyes and saw Halubo, She smiled as she went back to petting the rabbit "Oh my, welcome home Dear."
Hakubo eyed the many injured animals around her "Yeah, please change out of your Kimono, Dinner will be ready soon."
Hakubo stepped inside and observed the surrounding area
Baskets and little tiny beds were beside Sumire containing either sick or injured animals "There's more of em again.."
He picked up the birds feather and looked back at Sumire who was combing the bunnies fur "Why do you still take care of em? some of em die and some survive...But Its not like you'll get anything from it"
Sumire listened to her dear 'husband' and giggled "I might not get anything from it, but there's a meaning to it.."
"I feel bad for the little one's they've gone through too much trauma. So they can't live on their own anymore." She looks at the little rabbit starring at her, picking the rabbit up she had a completely different aura.
"That means, I can take full control of them you see? Their lives, their minds, everything. Wether they live or die it is up to me to decide." Hakubo just stared at her as she treated his wounds.
The days passed by so quick.
He saved her from an angry group of villagers saying it was her fault for being alive for too long
Alot of nights.
Alot of days have passed
It was time.
For some odd reason, he didn't want her to go just yet.
He didn't wanna amdit it but, her company..
made him warm.. it made him feel an emotion he could not feel
Happiness? well thats a rare one.
"Finally! She's fonna be wedded to god! The supernaturals can finally stop harming us!" A woman shouted
"I can finally walk woth my children at night safetly!" Another cried out as she held her children close
Sumire walked emotionlessly to the edge of the cliff, Her kimono swaying with the wind as the cloth on her head moved slightly to show her emotionless gaze upon the torii gate that leads to the edge of the cliff
Hakubo stood amongst the crowd as he watched the very girl he saw grow up, and was within his care finally give her life up to god.
He looked around as everyone cheered, cried happy tears, and saying their thanks and grace to god, but why only the gods? why not to the countless Kannagi's he had to watch get sacrificed over and over again and not once did they say their thanks to them
We're they only sacrifices to their eyes?
"Hey, Dear" Sumire called out at Hakubo who was sitting outside looking at the sky, He turned around and giving her his full attention
Sumire smiled as she looked down at her pet rabbit "Thanks for looking after me"
He looked at her confused "Why are ya saying thanks?" She giggled "Silly Oni, did you forget?—
I'll be sacrificed tomorrow. "
Silence, Hakubo didn't show any emotion and just stared at her "Mhm"
.
.
"I want them.. to feel sad, when I'm gone. "
Sumire got closer and closer as she finally entered the torii gate.
"To weep.."
An uproar of cheers was heard throughout the cave as Sumire was nearing her destination
Hakubo couldn't.. he couldn't.. He had a job to do. And that was to watch over the Kannagi and be her caretaker until the day she gets wedded to god.
But why is that he was pushing himself through the crowd just to stop her from doing something reckless?
"And to be sad.. so sad they'll go crazy"
"Hey! What do you think your doing you Oni!" One of the elders spotted him trying to get in the way of Sumire's path to stop her sacrifice
"Hey, since this will be my last night with you, I want to ask you for one thing" Hakubo stopped patting her head as he looked at her for a moment
"Just one.."
Sumire rose up and got all happy "Well.. What is it?" he asked, Sumire had a faint blush on her cheeks "Well you see, For tonight, I wanna do something a married couple would do~ That's all~" Sumire giggled but got pinned down by Hakubo which caught her off guard
Hakubo leaned in closer, and closer until the foreheads touched, Sumire thought it was finally happening but suddenly Hakubo smacked his forehead with hers and immediately got up and left the room
"Go to sleep." He said as he closed the door
"J-jeez.." Sumire rubbed her forehead as she found a comfortable laying position and drifted off to sleep
Hakubo however, was lost in his own thoughts right outside the room

'Even if.. this is a lie, can't you say something like ' Save me' or 'I don't want to die', or atleast cry? ' He got off the wall and looked back at the door once more and left
'After all.. you weren't all that cute.'
Sumire felt a hand grab her by the arm right before she jumped off the cliff to be wedded to god, the cloth on her head fell as she looked back to see her caretaker.
"Hakubo.."
What do you think your doing?!? You're RUINING the ceremony!" The elder chief said furiously as he grabbed his sword and tried to swing it at him but failed.
He fought ANYONE who tried to get in his way, once all was eliminated he looked back at Sumire and held her hand
"you know.. you aren't that cute.." He picked her up bridal style
Sumire giggled as she wrapped her arms around his neck "Did you stop the ceremony just for you to say that to me?" Hakubo didn't answer and walked far away from the depths of hell she was about to jump off to.
Not like Sumire was gonna throw a huge fit. She was thankful he stopped the ceremony, she knew that she was gonna be wedded to god. And had to be the sacrifice to seal the supernaturals away from the mortal world.
But now, its not gonna be like that anymore, Because Hakubo and Sumire are gonna run away.
Far away.. where no one
Can ever hurt them again
