i just rewatched encanto, and i can't stop thinking about a world where bruno had himself a lil gf/wife, and she was the only one who didn't think his gift was evil. and they had kids (maybe like twins or sum), and when he disappeared, she stayed in la casita, and everyone kinda pittied her. and la familia was like, "bruno really didn't love his family. especially if he abandoned her" or some shit. and like, he left right as his kids were getting their gifts, but like, watched it through the walls or something. or he left after they got them. but then his wife is just so sad cause he left, and she has no idea where he is (she lowkey thinks he's dead but doesn't wanna come to that sort of realization). and when mirabel asks her about bruno, she's just kinda like "tu tio bruna was the kindest person i ever met. and his gift was truly a gift... no one else could see that." and then mirabel is like,"But 'we dont talk about bruno'.' He told me something else...." and then when she finds out bruno is alive and was watching them the whole time, its super cute and heart felt. oh, and his kids get a cute lil song on their own talking about how amazing their dad was....
Do camilo and dulce ever argue or are they pretty chill
I mean EVERY couple argues at least once or twice. But they're not really known for it? I think if they argue about anything, it's little things. Camilo eating stuff he wasn't supposed to, or her calling him childish even though it makes him self conscious. It's nothing too major. They've had one BIG argument though, because Pepa coddles him a lot, and he thought she was talking shit about his mom. That was a very big, and very uncomfortable fight. Thankfully though, it never went downhill from there.
thinking about camilo’s va in encanto thinking he did so badly during his wdtab verse that disney was sure to recast him when in the end his part became arguably the most iconic part of the most famous disney song of all time
and how perhaps, we shouldnt be so hard on ourselves
we really do not see AT ALL how we come off to other ppl, we’re doing fine
I know this movie is recent-ish, but the lack of an Encanto series is still crazy to me.
Like, it doesn't even need crazy magical lore, it can be episodic, it's so simple:
Family dynamics not seen in the movie
Why doesn't Mirabel have a gift (theory of her being the next matriarch being the most obvious one)
Seeing the other rooms
Bruno's new interactions with the townspeople and the family
FERAL ISABELA!!!
Dolores and Mariano
Unexplored trauma with Dolores and Camilo, GET THEM THEIR SOLO SONGS!!!!
The dads' sides of the family
Abuela Alma trying to do better
Childhoods of the triplets
On that same note, how the couples met each other.
More on Alma and Pedro. Etc
And if you wanted new stuff, HAVE THEM OPEN THE ENCANTO TO LET MORE PEOPLE IN, new technology that Encanto doesn't have access to, new ideas and cultures - it can even bring drama if the new people try to do bad things and the family goes all x-men on them.
It's so many possibilities that if they never do it it's a damn shame.
