Nonbinary William Afton rambles which I'm now making their own post 👉😎👉

The idea mostly comes from Springbonnie! Often referred to in the fandom as William Afton's fursona, it's at the very least undeniable William enjoys and has a strong connection to the character

This is mostly seen and backed up by the novels! I've added pics of the graphic novel for ease. But in one scene he literally can't talk when confronted until he has the Springbonnie mask back on

As William opened the restaurant with Henry and played and wore Springbonnie back in Fredbear's Family Diner, it's safe to assume he had strong influence on the character

Now for the important part, Springbonnie is nonbinary, or some variation, as seen in a fnaf world loading screen!

Now this could of course just be seen as Scott making a small comment due to how much fans would debate characters genders in this era of fnaf. But it's seen rather fondly by Springbonnie fans, who take it to mean good ol springy is nonbinary, and doesn't care about gender, or uses it/its pronouns. Fnaf World is also Springbonnie's first and currently only 3D appearance to actually appear in games

There's also the Sister Location animatronics! Who we know William had a major part in creating and designing, which of course includes Funtime Foxy in the roster, who canonically goes by he/she pronouns! So at the very least William is supportive. I personally enjoy seeing Funtime Foxy as a projection of William, due to their similar theatrical personalities, and enjoying preforming

Edit: Funtime Foxy has had They/Them pronouns added as well from Help Wanted 2!

(And as Mangle, he/she, when fixed is also known "Funtime Foxy" instead of Toy Foxy, it's possible William had some type of influence there)

(Additionally, while I dont have the time to look through and confirm it right now, I do believe Lolbit uses they/them)

It honestly mostly boils down to the fact most animatronics with multiple sets of pronouns have some (usually major) connection to William!

And, fun fact, though I personally don't take it as 100% canon, Youtooz refers to Springtrap with they/them pronouns in the figure description! Edit: The Springtrap plushie is referred to with they/it pronouns by Youtooz! This is a consistent decision!

I checked around some other Youtooz fnaf items just in case, and I can confirm not all get the they/them treatment. Glamrock Freddy, for example, is very consistently he/him across all items

Purple Guy items feature a very short description, such as "The Purple Guy" and "William Afton" and thus pronouns like we are looking for are not present, and Glitchtrap, if counts here, has they and he/they descriptions

And for a more fun/silly reason, you can color pick 2 of his sprites to make the nonbinary flag, Springbonnie is nonbinary flag colored too

If anyone has any more additions or notes to this, I'd love the hear them!

ohohohohhohohoohohohoh. ohohohoh. Well. Basically they're wrong about what headcanons ARE and how they work as a fan created thing. They also definitely need to examine why they feel the way they do about headcanoning characters as having marginalized identities. I wrote a whole essay on trans headcanons specifically under a similar ask and what I said can be easily applied to other aspects of headcanoning characters as minorities (i actually got a lot of the ideology for that essay from discussions of "blackwashing" in fandom)

some other things on what they said (warning: LONG)

My major issues with their thoughts on headcanons can be summed up with the essay i linked. im not going to be going into that stuff as deeply again because we would be here all day, so the rest is just specifics

"but i really hate it when people change pronouns of characters (IVE SEEN PEOPLE USE SHE/HER WHEN REFERING TO SILVER SPOON. LET THE MAN BE A MAN IF HE WANTS TO BE A MAN.)"

Silver Spoon, and other characters for that matter, are quite frankly not real and do not have actual desires or feelings that you can hurt. Also see my essay on trans headcanons.

"but what makes me the most furious is... people making characters autistic. nothing against autism, i understand that, but do you really need to make paper, fan, silver spoon, pen, etc. autistic just because they have specific interests or act... idk, just the way they act?! its just. it doesnt make sense to me."

Bee needs to examine why they feel the way they do about autistic headcanons. A majority of the times characters are being headcanoned as autistic, they're being headcanoned as that be actual neurodivergent people who seem themselves or their autistic friends in these characters or traits.

There are certainly some issues with certain aspects of autistic (or any other disability) headcanons, like infantilization, but Bee's issue seems to be the fact that there are a lot of characters being headcanoned. Which is just not a problem.

"hc's that dont affect story are fine, but ones that completely flip the story or ignore anything confirmed by the employees."

Headcanons are personal thoughts on the story and do not have any bearing on the story or how you interpret the characters. They are a fan creation like fanart or fanfiction.

"EX: "i headcanon that mic and knife are in a relationship!" that completely ignores the fact that some of the pride month art shows that knife is gay. Cakebrunch (official II storyboarder) confirmed that soap and mic are in a relationship."

Cakebrunch is not a writer and does not have any bearing on the written canon of the characters. Just because he works on the show does not mean his headcanons have any bearing on the canon.

"make as many autistic characters you want, yeah! its great to support autism! but you dont have to make every character autistic, okay? (directed towards people that hc lots of characters as autistic)"

Again, the people who are doing this are mostly autistic or otherwise neurodivergent. And they aren't "making" the characters autistic, they're depicting them as such. No harm in that.

Now for the ships ask.

This is less of my domain, as I'm not really a shipper and don't know much about romance and relationship dynamics but I will try.

Also like nothing against people who don't like shipping as a whole, I totally get it. I was in your boat before.

"i absolutely HATE osc ships. half of them are either "oh these characters dislike each other/disliked each other at one point" and the other half is "these two friends should date because theyre friends.""

and that leaves..... characters who haven't interacted?

honestly, if this was between real people that would be really disrespectful.

Except they're not, so it's completely fine. I have a feeling Bee was in an RPF heavy fandom before this one, this and the previous take about pronouns are common discourse points in those.

EX: Fantube. yeah, they tried to raise shimmer together and built bot, but platonic parents exist and CAN THEY JUST BE FRIENDS?! PLEASE?

Like headcanons, ships have no bearing on the canon and in canon they are just friends.

EX: Nickloon. ok, nickels trying to make up for being rude to balloon all throughout season two. but really? they dont have to date just because theyre friends, yknow. imagine someone saying "oh you and your best friend who you only platonicallly love- you should date!" to you. that'd honestly be rude.

They're not real so they can't experience this. Problem solved.

yeah, some ships are confirmed but thats different. EX: Knickle. offical II storyboarder Cakebrunch CONFIRMED theyre in a relationship. thats an official employee of the series saying that a ship is real. not some random person on TikTok saying that TennisGolf is canon because TB is GB's closest ally.

Again with citing Cakebrunch's fan stuff as canon. Interesting how they cited a storyboarder's fan works twice but failed to mention Balloon being arospec as said by a show creator in the nickloon section. While I have my thoughts on word-of-god confirmation, which I will not be getting into here, it is far more canon than any fanwork.

A lot of the rest of this is just confusion about why people ship things. This is different for each ship and each shipper, and if you're ever confused about where a ship came from you can just ask the shipper. There's usually a reason (and depending on who you ask, a whole essay) as to why a ship came about or how it would work. Sometimes though it is just for fun or comedy, and that's not really a bad thing. We're here to enjoy ourselves, after all.

One last thing though,

and dont get me started on those ships that throw certain characters in canon ships (looking at you, metallic salad/metallic salad + mephone shippers.) because like. why? certain characters have established relationships with others, and your just like "ohh well those two are in a relationship, but mic and knife are a cute ship so how about mic + knife + pickle? makes sense!" like. please.

I don't know much on dynamics and specifics (see: not much of a shipper) but from what I have seen of multiships and polyships, all the dynamics and how the characters would all work together is very much thought about.

Also knickle isn't canon and the people shipping knife x mic x pickle are also aware knickle isn't canon. Nobody is thinking of it like that.

Anyways, time for the conclusion.

Bee anon is fundamentally wrong about how fandom works. Headcanons and ships hold no baring on the canon or your interpretation of the canon. Fandom is a place where canon is transformed in fan works for the fan's enjoyment, it is not a place where canon is determined or changed. You can interpret a work however you please, you can even divorce it from fan works entirely if you wish. Bee also has some things they need to think about in regards to why they feel the way they do about queer and autistic headcanons.

plural anon from earlier figured id offer some info since you mentioned wanting to learn! obvious preface that im not an expert and this is just from my experience and what ive learned from others :) everyones experiences vary and im definitely not the be all end all lol

also this may get long, its a bit of an infodump! ^^;

i figured first id explain some of the stuff i said. i refer to myself as “plural” mostly, and said “plural system” as system is more often used from what ive seen, and plural offers more context to me. its honestly up to the person what they want to be referred to with. plural, plural system, plural person, just system, a collective, a group, there are probably more but those are the main ones i can think of!

also i should probably clarify, i said “pseudo-plurality” referring to the in-universe rab and vanny, as it isnt really confirmed whether that is an act put on by glitchtrap/will/mimic, or vanessa, or something, or if its actually a separate person. (i like to think of them as headmates/alters, but given that they are villains some folks dont want to which is also fair! it was very common to use the “evil alter” trope in horror so it can definitely put people on edge and rub them the wrong way. i like to explore and see this concept explored, but obviously with the headmates being actual people, not just boiled down to “ooo evil alter” for scare factor. i read a fic once where vanny was formed as a response to williams invasion and manipulation to protect vanessa, which is way more interesting to me than the evil alter trope!)

also, i should warn with the previous paragraph, if you do ever explore the idea of rab or vanny being opposition to gregory and vanessa, some people might get upset even if you are doing it well. unfortunately its the internet and theres a lot of bad rep out there and a lot of mean people. im sure you know the drill tho.

more general thing, some systems prefer to say headmates, some prefer alters, some prefer other words, some just refer to them as their friends or as the others. its dependent on the person! and the “main” person is called the host usually, or the core, typically the core ive seen used for systems who consider themselves to be “facets” of that core. my underdtanding of facets is that theyre more like branches off the host, rather than fully separate (ive seen some people use “admin” or other similar words too tho lol). the host is often said to be the “original” person, in the case of gregory and vanessa, those two would be the hosts, and rab and vanny would be alters/headmates/etc. but hosts dont HAVE to be the original person, it can change. i dont know the exacts of what makes a host a host, but from my understanding its basically a role someone has. and not every system uses roles or falls into them, for example id argue that the daycare attendant has “roles” in their system (moon takes care of naptime, sun takes care of playtime) but lacks an actual designated host, possibly because they dont really feel a need for one and just work(ed) as a unit.

on the topic of the daycare attendant, some plural folk will use a collective name or a “singletsona” (singlet just referring to a nonplural individual) of sorts. the daycare attendant has a collective name, which is, yk, “the daycare attendant” as it can refer to any/all of them. and rab sort of used gregory as a singletsona as opposed to telling his friends hes rab (sort of. he did use it as a pen name). in the same vein, there are also global pronouns, first person pronouns, and collective pronouns (these are the best ways i can simplify them lol).

global pronouns - for us anyways - are pronouns everybody can be referred to with. for us, our main global pronoun is it/its.

first person pronouns is just, how the person talks when referring to themself/themselves. i/me, us/we, and a mix of both. some systems only use plural first person pronouns when referring to the system/multiple folks in the system, some just always use we/us, some use i/me regardless, as usually it depends on the system and some stuff i havent even gone into. and for collective pronouns, its similar to the global pronoun thing, except its just the system as one entity’s pronouns. often it is the plural or singular they/them, we personally like plural and singular it/its for our system. its kinda like the bodys pronouns, which is why it can be singular to me. i hope thst made sense!

oh before i cut myself off i should probably mention switching. i dont switch out really so i cant provide much here but some systems experience amnesia/time loss/etc, some dont, but like i said i cant give you much because i dont switch out. im sure someone else can help with that ^^;

this ask is already very very long, so i wont go into other stuff like monoconscious, polyconscious, co-conscious, co-fronting, being frontstuck, sticky front, headspace/inner world, system origins(which will inevitably include system discourse thing unfortunately), headmate sources, source memories, introjects…… theres a Lot and i dont think i would even have enough characters to send an ask with everything i know

I hate to be that guy, but speculation on Aaron’s gender identity is disrespectful, especially since he’s passed and can’t confirm. He signed off his letters with his pronouns (he/him). We don’t know the story of his twitch name, but his Reddit and other social media wasn’t anything close to what his twitch was. He identified as male, and used he/him.

Either way, Aaron had made the world look at what’s happening in Palestine. Idk about you, but after his passing, there was a very noticeable shift in support for Israel. More and more people have voiced their support for Palestine. More and more people are standing up against Zionism.

He didn’t take his life.

He gave it, just so the world would finally see.

no worries on " being that guy, " trust me, I appreciate it :) I dont mean to be disrespectful at all, and of course I agree that they are definitely someone to look up to and have truly caused a political shift especially here in North America. I had just found in my own research interesting information about their life and felt it was worth sharing. There's also been multiple people who came forward and said that Bushnell did indeed use she/her and he/him pronouns.

For the bit on speculation about her identity, I don't believe that's a bad thing at all. Im of the opinion that researching people like this, activists who are changing the world, is important. That we can't reduce them to a name in a history textbook but rather know they were human, just like us.

I feel like it was intentional, for them to leave those bits of their identity on the internet, instead of wiping it all completely. Like a subtle nod to our community to tell us that they were one of us.

Furthermore, they were also in a lot of trans communities on reddit and whatnot. If this was a cisgender man, then they understood trans identity in a way most cis people don't. And that's worth preserving, holding onto, and remembering.

And, as I said before, this just speaks to how much of a sacrifice it was to protest.

I'm gonna answer very clearly to this, anon, both for you and anyone else thinking the same thing. I will not answer a second time, so take the time to read it, or don't, but if I get another message like this one, I'll delete it. So I suggest you do take the time to read it, and to understand it.

Point #1:

I do talk about things even when they're problematic, even when it comes to characters I love. But our definition of what's problematic is probably not the same, since for Greens stans I'm automatically someone who is problematic herself. I've never whitewashed my favorites characters or ships, and since you're talking about HOTD: I never said that because there's a right side, said side didn't do anything wrong. I even said Rhaenyra was a tyrant, because it's the truth and everyone who has read Fire & Blood knows what she's done during her reign. Just because she's one of my favorite ASOIAF characters doesn't mean I think she was a really nice person and a good queen. I guess that's why it bothers me when I see comparisons to Daenerys, even though they have parallels, because unlike Rhaenyra, Dany is a hero, not a tyrant.

Point #2:

Not all people who are team Blacks think Aemond deserved to lose an eye. Some people did say it, yes. Just like some people said that Luke deserved to die, or to have one eye removed too. But that doesn't mean all people who are team Greens think that, either, and I'm not gonna accuse every Alicent stan or everyone who loves Aemond to have been delighted to see Luke die. It's called common sense to realize that not all people, even those who agree on many things, do not share the same opinions and feelings on literally everything.

Point #3: I don't let anyone answer for me. I answered about a scene and doesn't feel the need to repeat myself or to talk about one scene to death. People who disagree with me are welcome to disagree, but there's no point in telling me again and again that I should have a different point of view. If we're not gonna agree, we're not gonna agree. Why should I argue with someone for I don't know how long about the same thing? So we can both end up losing our calm, be rude and insult each other? I'm not interested in doing this.

Point #4:

That being said, everyone has the right to comment my posts, add text and/or tags when reblogging them. I haven't seen someone saying something I don't agree with, but they also have the right to speak for themselves. If I don't agree with what someone is saying, I'm either letting it go because as I said, I'm done with this discussion about that scene, or if it's something I'm absolutely revolted by, I'll unfollow them (which didn't happen). So yes, you can assume that I agree with what's been said on the reblogs of my posts, even if I didn't confirm it.

Point #5:

Yes, I'm 30. And? If you look at most blogs around here, it's rare to find an age, or a name. I'm one of the people who say their name, their age, their nationality and their gender. I like that people who talk to me know how they can call me, know they can speak french if they want to, know they're not screwing up when they use she/her pronouns. I also added my age because I like people to know a little about me. Many people really want to be anonymous on tumblr, but it's not my case. The point is, you have absolutely no way of knowing the age of those other people you mention. They could be older than me for all we know. You seem to be under the impression that they're all children and I'm responsible for them, but I'm not their mother. This works the other way, too. When I reblog a post, what I say and how I tag it is my responsability.

Point #6:

This one is actually for my followers and those who reblogged my posts. I didn't read anything I do not agree with. It could have been the case, but unless I missed one (because I did read what you wrote), you can safely assume we're on the same page. You haven't done anything wrong, and it's not your fault if you're being compared to children or brainless people who just follow my unspoken order to go after others. Hello internet, welcome to Gaym Theory

This is just like the GRIS ramble, and as the previous “proof that I’m not normal” post, I’ll put this under a readmore because by god is this long

I have a huge theory for halOPE just hear me out

Aight so the game consists of an emotionless angel walking around qUiRkY worlds but they’re actually deeply fucked up if you look between the lines

Actually, there’s no “between the lines” in the complex, every single layer in that blue square onion is fucked up

The first world is the orange/yellow one, a wheat field forest thingie

You meet a shy lesbian witch, a cool plague doctor lady, some old man, a mushroom girl, the ultimate clown boy, a wooden puppet girl...

Then, after a few fetch quests, you reach the blue door, which leads you to the blue world, the complex. This one is literally just capitalism without the money

All the residents in the complex are lost. They’re too afraid to get out, not knowing where to go, too scared to lose the little things they already have. Some of them got there with ambitions, wanting to fix up the place and whatnot, but slowly the energy leaves them and they can’t be bothered to do something about the ever-rotting building

Now, we’ve only gotten two worlds so far, and starbage has confirmed that that’s about half of the game (unless she* decides to add more content than she anticipated and now it’s just a small fraction of the full game) so we can expect another two, maybe tree worlds

Now, where am I going with this? It’s simple: HalOPE is a game about the five stages of grief

Just not in the way we think

The orange world is not denial, nor anger

It’s acceptance

In this world, the witch lesbian girl comes to terms with her feelings and confesses to the plague doctor lady. The puppet girl gets free of the strings that were dictating her every move and, although it feels weird to move without them, she has realised that they were bad for her, and finally breaks free. In this world, people are mostly nice to you, outside of some few slightly mean dialogues that end up getting replaced with happy stuff (except for the old man sucks to be him I guess)

The complex? Depression. Do I really have to explain it. The main color is fucking blue

At the end of the demo, we go through a green door wounded, and get treated by an old(?) lady we can’t see the face of

I still don’t fucking know what the fuck is bargain, or how it works and is supposed to be represented, but my theory is that we’ll be making a medicine for ourselves since we’re sick or whatever, and in the end we’ll have to choose wether we use it to cure ourselves or the old lady who took care of u, since she’s also sick or whatever

I still don’t think that’s what bargain is about, but we’ve only gotten one official scene in the demo and a couple of screenshots that don’t say much about the story in the dev blog other than we aren’t fucking dead I guess

Now, what role does the angel play in all of this? They’re an empty figure that lacks emotions and only listens. Obviously, they’re the one that has been traumatised enough to go through the five stages, but there’s something else

Why would the stages go backwards?

Sure, recovery isn’t linear and the stages are a rough graph. People can go from depression to anger to denial again to bargaining, but I highly doubt someone who has already reached acceptance would go back

Unless they want to see what has traumatised them in the first place? This doesn’t make much sense, I know, but forgetting traumatic events is a thing that can happen, and maybe they want to go back to see what caused it to go through the phrases properly, or finally put an end to that gut feeling that something is wrong

The angel is just a representation of the person. They don’t get swayed by the nature of the complex, or stay in the nice wheat world. They’re analytical, emotionless, made to stop the phases from hurting them as much as possible

It doesn’t really work

Sadness is a very powerful emotion

I’m not even gonna fucking touch the actual angel lore we’ve been given, nope, my braincells have worked enough for today. I’m just laying this around. This is just the game’s overall message thing whatever

Hey umm… can you write a one shot of Gundham having the reader walk in on him regresing but they leave the room to try to make it less awkard before Gundham knows that they support and are actualy an age regressor to. Can you have it kinda angsty hurt/ comfort? In the end can you have the reader explain that they’re a regressor too and have them offer to take care of him if he ever needs it. Also could you make him have feelings for the reader? I really like all of your other Gundham imagins, you write his charater really well. The last thing you had expected when you walked into Gundham Tanaka’s room was for cartoons to be displayed across the TV, a stuffed animal or two held close to his chest, as well as a coloring book and crayons scattered on the floor.

You blinked at the small chuckle he’d given at a joke the cartoon had made, and you chewed on your lower lip.

Maybe he was a regressor as well.

The thought had appeared in your mind before you were able to stop it, and really, it did seem like a plausible explanation to what you were seeing right in front of you.

And, if that was the case...

You did not want him to feel embarrassed. So— the original plan was to just shut the door and leave him be.

That was until he glanced over, his ebullient expression soon dropping as he noticed you standing in the doorway.

Heat rushed up to your face at being caught standing there.

“Ah... Y/N, I—”

It wasn’t long before you shut the door, hoping to leave him be for now and perhaps question him about it later.

Unfortunately, that left Gundham with the idea in his head that you were weirded out, and perhaps even disgusted by him.

“Y/N? I... I would like to talk to you.”

It was the next day, leaving the both of you time to think about what happened yesterday. And, you had quite a good idea about what he wanted to talk to you about.

“Okay,” You nodded, “What is it?”

Gundham fidgeted with the ends of his scarf, and it was then that you realized how odd this looked— Gundham was never this unsure of himself, never this awkward or even self-concious.

“I— About yesterday...” He began, “I hope you do not think of me any differently.”

You offered him a small smile.

“I don’t,” You assured him, “I was just curious about the reasoning. Gundham... are you possibly an age regressor?”

He seemed rather taken aback, blinking and meeting your gaze for the first time during this conversation.

“You... You know about such mortal activity?”

You grinned at the phrasing, giving an awkward chuckle.

“I do. I am one myself, to be honest with you...” You admitted, figuring that if he was going to be in a situation where he has to tell you something so personal, you should at least return the favor.

“You are?” He stumbled over his words, a small grin etching on his face, “I knew that. Nothing slips past the great Gundham Tanaka!”

You laughed, joy filling you as you nodded.

“Glad we confirmed that.”

And as you look at the pure happiness radiating off of Gundham, who was smiling to no end, you gave a sigh.

You were glad you were able to find this out. Maybe it had forced the two of you to be a bit vulnerable. But hey! That wasn’t such a bad thing, was it?

so the other day, i had to deal with transphobia at a hospital i was at and tbh it didnt really bother me that much apart from the way i had to react to it. and i cant stop thinking about that.

for context, i dont pass. im a trans dude, but i dont look like a dude so im used to being misgendered and i dont normally correct people.

so when the receptionist was confused, it was like routine bullshit. i was happy to deal with it, but my mom ended up having to because if i had stood up for much longer, id have collapsed because I'm ✨disabled✨.

and while my mom was trying to calmly explain it, the receptionist very loudly outed me to the entire waiting room. which you know, not fun. she was also not subtle about her finding me weird and a freak which you know, not fun.

but then she made the active choice to fuck up my name in the system. she could have just deadnamed me, but instead she decided to put my dead middle name (which is a feminine name) into my current name instead.

so thanks to that, i was then misgendered the whole time and deadnamed and it confused literally every member of staff. pretty sure it also confused the system which led to me having to wait longer which you know, not fun.

that wouldnt have bothered me if i hadnt been sent to the hospital as emergency because i have a condition that can lead to total vision loss, and also can be caused by or lead to a stroke. like death was on the table.

and then after that fiasco, my mom headed to the car to get a drink as we (me and my brother) waited to be called. and when we were, i got to interact with another transphobic receptionist which you know, not fun.

she called my name and when i went up, she made it very clear that she did not believe me that my name was kai. she was condescending to me and was clearly trying to catch me in a lie . it was incredibly uncomfortable and honestly it was scary.

and what i hate the most about it is that i couldnt react.

the minute i react negatively, im suddenly the crazed trans person who will call the police on you if you use the wrong pronouns.

i cant get angry; i cant firmly correct them; i cant show any excessive emotion. i had to stand there and calmly react to their microaggressions.

my mom and brother got angry on my behalf. they corrected people, they complained, they made it clear that they were not going to tolerate transphobia aimed toward me. and i love them for doing that for me, but i hate the fact that i cant do it.

they can be angry about it because theyre cis.

no one is going to look at them and say oh see all cis people are crazed and unstable.

but me? if I react negatively, i risk making the situation worse and confirming their bias and hence causing problems for other trans folks.

im the one being hate crimed, im the one being discriminated against, and im the one who has to be calm and diplomatic about it.

its such an insidious form of transphobia. i felt so powerless, it was terrifying. and i felt like my only choice was diplomacy because at the end of the day, im at a hospital for something that can kill me. i cant risk being kicked out or accused of faking it or anything like that. i was fucking trapped.

and i just cant stop thinking about it now.

He also can slide by sometimes not wearing it because he's flat as fuck but it makes him feel better to wear it. I'm projecting a bit but it's so real to faint while training or exercising after using a binder for way more hours than you should, Denki tries their best to not go past the proper time but sometimes training sessions are intense and they forget, but they prefer the risk of fainting than not using it Denki is not out yet not because they're not sure or afraid of the reaction, they just don't really know how to tell everybody and they didn't want to make it a big deal out of it, so whenever someone questions it they confirm it and moves on, just hoping the whole dorm will know at some point i do like the idea of them properly coming out to Kirishima or sero!! kirishima is such a good ally, he WILL fight anyone who misgenders Denki <33 About Jirou, I actually do ship him (using the pronouns u set here!!) a bit with Denki, but I also love their platonic bond, I like to headcanon he would be the first to know about Denki, he helped them to pick a binder, how to choose pronouns, went to doctor appointments together, all of that!! I think I talked about this in some other question, but I headcanon that Denki would still wear various clothing, they try to play with different fashions depending on how they feel that day, so it's not unusual for them to wear skirts, nail polish, makeup, etc, their masculinity is expressed in other ways please lmk what yall think about trans Denki, I love them so much <3

Diverse DC p.1~Speedsters

1. XS/Jenni Ognats(Black/white biracial)

Jenni is the daughter of Barry Allens daughter Dawn Allen and Jeven Ognats. She wasn’t born with any abilities , however after seeing her father in danger, her connection to the speedforce was Unlocked.

2. The Flash/Danica Williams(black)

Danica Williams is the flash of the Batman Beyond universe. Whos father was a STAR labs scientist who studied Metahuman technology. Danica grew up with dreams of becoming a trackstar, but due to having many medical conditions including asthma, she lost hope. It was also thought that Danica had mental illness due to her claiming to see and hear figures that nobody else could. Though it turns out that she was actually communicating with speedsters from multiple different realities through an initially unknown connection to the speedforce. After she was urged to save a man from being hit by a train, it was revealed that she had superspeed, and eventually mastered the ability to run on air molecules. She was also the love interest for Billy Batson/Captain Marvel

3. Kid Flash lll/Wallace West(black/white biracial)

Wallace West ll is the niece of Iris west and the son of Daniel West, the second reverse Flash. He was initially portrayed as a delinquent and a troublemaker, however after being adopted by his aunt Iris, he began to ease out of his delinquent behavior as he began to look up to the Flash(not knowing it was Barry Allen). After a future version of himself went to the past and gave Wallace powers, he gained a hard to control and unpredictable connection to the speed force. He used his new powers to become the Flash’s new crimefighting partner. After being caught in Central City’s speedforce storm, his powers became more stable.

3. The Flash/Avery Ho(Chinese American)

Avery, like many other Central City citizens was caught in the Speed Force storm, giving her a connection to the speedforce. Her new abilities were unstable, and Avery’s cells involuntary constantly vibrated themselves, with her being unable to stop them. She was visited by Barry and another speedster named Meena Dhawan(whos up next) who helped teach her how to use and control her powers. After a while, Avery was recruited into the Justice league of China. Shes also Wallce’s best friend.

4. Fasttrack/Meena Dhawan(southern asian descent)

Dr. Meena Dhawan was a scientist at STAR labs who was caught in the speed force storm, giving her all the usual speedster powers+the ability to sense or Track others with a speed force connection (hence the name Fasttrack). She dedicated herself to training the next generation of speedsters who were also caught in the speed force storm. She was a villain at one point, but thats not important.

5. Irey and Jai West(biracial, white and Korean)

Jai and Iris “Irey” West ll are the twin children of Wally West the first, and Linda Park. They both have their fathers connection to the speed force, however, while Irey has the usual superspeed, Jai’s powers are…. Weird. He can use speedforce energy to accelerate his muscle growth and give himself super strength, but has also been shown to use the speed force to shapeshift when in distress.

6.Bolt/Alinta(no last name yet),(biracial,black/white, Australian)

Bolt is a new speedster who was first introduced during the future state event. Nothing is currently known about her origin, but she has been shown to be a member of the Teen Titans and the Suicide Squad. Also,shes a disabled speedster. However, not the first(fun fact: Bart Allen/Impulse has a prosthetic kneecap). Also, im 90% sure shes black. I saw one tumblr user say she was of Australian aboriginal origin, and if I can find any confirmation I’ll change this immediately.

Edit: I saw her origin story in the comics, her parents are shown to be a black woman and a white man. So, shes biracial.

Edit: We now know more about Bolt! She was a little kid when she found her speed, and the reason she can only run in short&quick sprints or bolts, as opposed to long distance runs like others speedsters, is because she found an incomplete speedforce equation. Her parents used her for their family business(which unbeknownst to her, was traficking illegal goods), until she lost her legs an was given new ones by Amanda Waller, who is now desperate to get her on the suicide squad because she wants a speedster now lol.

7. Kid Quick/Flash/Jess Chambers (black)

Not to be confused with Jesse Chambers, Jess is another new speedster, who was also introduced during Future State. They are Nonbinary and use They/them pronouns, and come from the genderbent Earth-11, where they are the nibling (gender neutral word for nephew/niece for those who dont know)of Earth-11’s Flash(who happens to be Jesse Chambers). They are also seemingly romantically involved with Aquamans daughter Andy.

8. Godspeed/August Corazón Heart(Latino)

August Heart was Barry Allen’s partner, whos brother was murdered around the time period shortly before Barry Allen was struck by lightning and became the Flash. Hes brothers murder case was dropped, and he was distraught. After gaining superspeed by the Speedforce storm, he designed his own suit and became a ruthless vigilante, going on criminal. Barry eventually learned that August was Godspeed, a hint was that one of August’s victims was his brothers killer. Eventually, August was killed by Eobard Thwane aka Reverse Flash.

hi i’ve noticed the pencey prep gay conversation going on over on @awsugar and i have spent lots of time dissecting pencey prep lyrics and subjecting nathan @faggot-frank to my deranged ramblings so Here is my pencey prep super ultra mega gay lyrical analysis masterpost. it’s very long so its all under the cut but i will include a TL;DR for those who dont wanna read paragraphs of my deranged ramblings: Pencey prep uses lots of themes of: heartbreak, forbidden love, keeping love a secret, and toxic relationships. which none of that is gay on its own but combined with them almost never using gender indicators in their songs and the “nail in the coffin song” of 8th grade it ends up being a very Fruity Album.

I will be going through heart break in stereo in order and pointing out which lyrics and elements of certain songs jump out to me as Super Mega Gay and then summarizing my conclusions at the end <3

1 ) PS Don't Write

PS don't write is about leaving a toxic relationship, it has notes of moving on and leaving someone behind. "packed up all my shit / stole back all my tapes / left your spare key under the mat / this is not a joke / you'd better learn to take a hint / 'cause i'm not coming back / maybe you'll understand / when you're waking up alone / in a cold and empty bed." it has no gender indicators or pronouns which is the case in a lot of pencey prep songs, and something i'll bring up quite a bit. it also has general "coming of age" themes, something common in lots of pencey prep songs. which Yeah apply to straight people to but read in this context combined with future evidence can be pretty Fuckin Gay. "somewhere along the line / i found a hidden strength / i didn't know i had / standing on my own / cutting all the strings / that you used to control / surprise surprise / i am long gone / if you thought you could hold me down / by holding me up / you were wrong / you don't call the shots anymore." not to say only gay people can find inner strength and the room to love themselves but combined with other context it is a really poignant message about accepting yourself for who you are.

2) Yesterday

Yesterday is very repetitive and has a lot less to analyze, but the constant themes of wanting to "run away" strike me as very Fruity. once again, not saying gay people are the only people who can want to run away or escape from something But Combined With Other Context. and once again a song with no gender indicators, doesnt specify who the speaker is running away with or what they are running away from. just that they want to Leave. "i wanna run with you / i don't care what we do / gotta get out of this place / because it feels like yesterday." also saying "it feels like yesterday" could mean that the town feels backwards or old timey in its beliefs, implying homophobia. how the speaker wants to run away from an old fashioned town.

3) Don Quixote

i'm going to bring up the cultural significance of this title and literary reference first. Don Quixote is a classical novel by Cervantes which is about a crazy dude who thinks he's a knight, and goes on weird adventures with his best friend. It's typically used as a symbol of following your dreams and breaking free from what people expect of you. In the context of the song its used as a symbol of following your dreams with Someone. once again this someone is given no gender indicators. "you say it's not worth it / been burned too many times / if your spine's receding / you can borrow some of mine / don't go and quit right now / cause i'd follow you through hell." "you say so many things / and not a word of it was true / if you're still in that state of mind / i'd still vacation inside of you / cause i think you're worth every minute / and every dime that i spend / i'd spend all my time fighting dragons / just to keep you alive and talking." it's about wanting to spend time with someone, wanting to be with them no matter what. and its also about how this person feels unreachable, like being with them would be a fairytail but the speaker Still Reaches for it. "your imaginations running wild / round your deceptive heart / this is my crusade / and you're the unreachable star / but i'm reaching." talking about this person being unreachable and unattainble. which isnt gay By Itself but again combined with the other context. FRUIT BEHAVIOR.

4) 10 Rings

another breakup song once again with no gender indicators, are you guys sensing a theme here? anyways this song is about someone cutting you off and then coming back suddenly wanting to talk again after breaking your heart. it has a sense of forbidden love, like this person Told the speaker they cant be together for Whatever Reason ;] and is now trying to come back and repair their mistake when the speaker is already hurt and reeling. "learn to live with decisions you make / i learned things from the break i can't forget / catch you doing drive-bys at 1 AM / it must kill you to know we can't be friends." "end of the summer you cut me off / i cut you out all the pictures i have." which this Isnt Gay By Itself. but bringing that phrase back with other context this is such a uniquely gay experience. being in love with someone and they cut you off Because theyre weirded out by that and then they try to come back, convince you it meant nothing.

5) The Secret Goldfish

my FAVORITE pencey song. this one has a lot. it's another breakup song about heartbreak and loss and im not even gonna dwell on the no gender indicators because yall see the theme now. it has themes of heartbreak and losing someone who is very close to you and having to let go of them and having to accept that this person cant be yours and you cant be with them. "land of the lost / i found myself in nothing / this time, promises broken find me / clutching to you for something / something that you're not / believing in what you say / it makes me lie awake at night / the truth, the truth is not what scares me / it's why you have to lie / all the time." here we see these themes of having to let someone go because they just Aren't The Same as you. "clutching to you for something / something that you're not." maybe like chasing after a straight boy and getting rejected? also the repetition of "heartbreak is forever" when you're young and gay losing that first person you felt some kind of love and attraction to can feel like the end of the world and can be a huge deal because of the lack of representation and guidance young gays get. and the themes of nothing lasting forever, the fact that gay people never get promised eternal love the same way straight people do.

6) 8th Grade

this song is the nail in penceys fucking coffin honestly. the rest of these songs have a lot of plausible deniability, just vague enough to maybe Not Be Gay. but framed in the context of 8th grade they all start to get a lil fruity. Im just gonna go through lyric by lyric for this one. "caught staring again / like a deer in the headlights / when you can't move fast enough / i take a hit for the team / pretty girl is blushing / i can't tell if she's disgusted / laughter starts to swell / someone gets the joke." this kid was staring at some cute boy ass and got caught and everyone is laughing at him for being gay. the "pretty girl" here is what most people think he's staring at but with the rest of the song it's obvious she's not the one he's looking at. "bells ring, i make my escape / helps a little, but doesn't save / beat downs a common thing / with us every day / maybe im just strange / cause i dont change schools / so maybe i like the abuse / or maybe i just like you." literally This is the nail in penceys fucking coffin. "maybe i like the abuse or maybe i just like you." this kid purposefully takes beatings from his bully who is Obviously male if you take into context the next verse. because he Likes Him. "maybe im just strange / cause i dont change schools" literally willingly taking beatings from his bully bc he has a crush. "another confrontation / you've got something to prove / your girl can't tell how tough you are / when you beat me up in the boys room." this just confirms that the subject of the song is a boy, and a tough macho boy with something to prove. maybe also hiding his own internalized homophobia through bullying? "well i made a big mistake / but i can't help who i like / this may not cost my life / but i am branded forever lame." LITERALLY ITS RIGHT IN YOUR FACE. "can't help who i like" "branded forever lame" do i even need to fucking explain this oh my god. he got outed as gay, he Can't Help Who He Likes and is now branded forever as "the gay kid." the rest of the song is general "im gonna get back at my bully" stuff but literally THIS. THIS is the song that brands all penceys other very vague songs as 100% verified super mega ultra gay.

7) 19

this song has a lot less, and is more about internal struggle than anything. but it is the only song with a "she" pronoun in it. but there is one thing i wanna mention. "I scream out loud / but no one hears a sound / i take my life with lack of sleep / i believe the things i feel / the things i see are fooling only me." this song is about not believing what the world shows you, believing what you think is true in your heart and what You feel. not what anyone else tells you. which is a gay experience. believing in yourself and your heart and your feelings, believing theyre right and theyre true and valid. Also this song has a significance in coming right after 8th grade on the album, going from being 13 to 19, from being unsure in your feelings and angry about the people who dont like you to lost and hopeless but somewhat grounded in yourself.

8) Trying To Escape The Inevitable

this song is about an abusive and toxic relationship, knowing you Need to escape it but being so infatuated with the person you literally cant. “i have this reoccurring dream / you make it hard for me to breathe / i gave you everything i could / i gave up everything i owned / and when you smile it’s not for me / you offer little sympathy / your grasp so far exceeds your reach / i wake up, this is not a dream.” “i have this reoccuring dream / where you admit that you’re not happy / i know that you will never leave / you’re here just to torment me.” which like again this isnt an exclusively gay experience but it is very interesting when framed that way. in that gay people are way more likely to throw themselves into abusive and toxic relationships because they dont feel like they can get anybody else. the repetition of “i know i should run” makes it seem like the speaker Knows he should get out but he just Cant because what if he never finds love again? and the little reprise in the middle “i have a new dream / and everything is perfect / the sky is pink, yellow, green, blue, and orange / and all the past has been forgotten / and we fell in love / and we fell in love / and we fell in love / and i fell into your trap.” implying that even if he escapes, even in his dreams he still falls for this person because he feels like he cant have anything else.

9) Lloyd Dobbler

another love song about wanting to have someone but not being able to because of Unspecified Forbidden Reasons. “why are you so far away / even when you’re standing next to me? / your eyes give you away / telling secrets your mouht don’t feel like talking.” falling in love with someone, maybe sensing that they like you too. that they Are Like You and that they have a Secret they dont want to vocalize. do i even need to explain it at this point? and in the chorus “That I’ll be your lloyd dobbler / with a boom box out in the street / and i’ll be there if you need someone / even if he isn’t me.” saying you’ll be there for someone even if that person isn’t you, also the use of Pronouns which is big for pencey prep. which yes the use of “even if he isnt me” could imply a straight girl ooorrr....Fruit Behavior. also this line “There’s a norman rockewll painting / of two kids sitting on a bench / it reminds me of all the stupid things / i’d like for us to share, but i dont care.” normal rockwell is a painter that paints traditionally “american” scenes. like the american ideal, that maybe he wants with this person. but he knows he cant have, but its stupid and domestic and he wants it but he Cant Have It because of FRUIT BEHAVIOR.

10) Florida Plates

another of my favorite pencey songs, and this one brings back those tragic “love but we cant have it” themes, except with a more somber tone. instead of being angry or resentful or spiteful in the face of adversity. its an Acceptance, of what they had and how good it was and how it just Cant Last. “kiss a mouth to open eyes / stall one last moment before goodbye / drive in different cars in different directions / never write all the letters full of good words, better intentions / it’s for the best although we don’t know it / paper words will cheapen the moments we shared / it’s better if i say nothing at all.” it’s about knowing you have to leave someone, even if having them in the moment is great they Can’t Stay and you can’t even talk or write about the moments you had. which do i even need to explain it at this point? forbidden love, not being able to have each other, not even being able to Talk about it. its a secret, and painful one but its beautiful while you have it. Conclusion alright!!! thank you so so much if you read all the way through that i Know it was long i Know it was a lot of repetition but i wanted to make my point. pencey prep has very big gay themes in their music. with forbidden love, letting go, heartbreak, keeping secrets, toxic realtionships. which none of it is gay on its own but in the context of: almost none of the songs having clear gender indicators and always speaking really vaguely about the subject and Eight Grade the “nail in the coffin song” you can see my point thank you and goodnight.

Okay, so I'm just going to talk about some stuff about gender fluidity and the new Loki series. Be warned, I will be mentioning a negative view/comment about Loki being genderfluid that was said to me, and personally it upset me. So please be cautious if things like that trigger you easily. Also, please don't take offence to anything I say, some of my views on this subject might be influenced by my environment, and idek if anyone agrees with me. Also, this has spoilers if you haven't seen all 4 episodes!!!

Okay, so the Loki series finally addresses Loki being genderfluid. Yay! As a genderfluid individual, I was very happy and excited about that, as well as them confirming his sexuality. However, I see some problems with how it was addressed. I'll be using he/him pronouns for Loki, and she/her for Sylvie, as they do in the show. This is all over the place, and I apologize if any part of this offends anyone.

So, we know that in the comics, as well as Norse mythology, Loki is a shapeshifter. He can and does turn into other things, being an animal of sort, a female, etc. But instead of showing Loki altering himself to appear female, we were given a whole new Loki, aka Sylvie. Now, in the MCU, we're aware that there is a multiverse, however, in Loki, it seems that the TVA are only focused on protecting a single timeline, which they call The Sacred Timeline. The problem here is that if it's a single timeline, why is Sylvie only ever shown as a girl? Even as a child. It could be because this Loki variant primarily feels like a woman, prefers being a woman, or is just a cis woman. To me, it seems like they wanted to show Loki's genderfluidity without actually showing it. They basically gave us a gender bent Loki. Loki is male, Sylvie is female. That's that. And with the fact that the multiverse exists, it seems like shes a variant from another universe, even though the TVA doesnt seem concerned about other universes.

When we were shown Sylvie being taken by the TVA when she was a little girl, she doesnt appear to be doing anything wrong. It kinda just looks like she's playing?? And with what I've seen about the TVA, as soon as a variant causes a branch in the timeline, a team is sent out to fix it right away. So what did she do that messed up the timeline? When I told my family that I wondered what she had done to be considered a variant at such a young age, my father said, "Probably because she was born a goddess instead of a god." Theoretically, this could be true. In the timeline that they're protecting, Loki is only ever seen as being male, so Sylvie being female could technically be the cause. However, why would they wait? If the timeline was messed up by Sylvie being a goddess, a branch would have formed immediately and the timeless would have dealt with that right away. So that can't be the problem. So, naturally, I had to defend Sylvie, because Loki is genderfluid, so a female Loki shouldn't ruin a timeline. This lead him to say that Loki isn't genderfluid. To quote, "He's only genderfluid in the way that Thor's genderfluid. And the way that Steve is. He's only a girl when the writers decided to make him one."

First of all, obviously??? Marvel isn't real life, everything that happens in either the MCU or the comics is because the writers decided to do that. That's how fictional characters work!!

Second, what the fuck? He had mentioned right before that a female Loki is reasonable since Thor is also becoming a woman. Which? What?? He explained that Thor's passing the hammer onto a woman, so Thor is becoming a woman now. Which is so wrong. Thor is his name, not the title held by whoever has his hammer. It's not even a superhero name like Iron man or Spiderman. It's the name he was given at birth?? Hes just passing on the hammer to a woman, he's still Thor. And when has Steve ever been a woman?? I dont remember hearing about that, but I think that he might be referring to gemderbends, where in another universe, some characters are the opposite gender. In this case, they're two different people. In Loki, theres only one timeline, which I assume contains multiple universes, so it can be seen as logical to assume that Syvlie is just a gender bent Loki from another universe. And who knows, maybe she is, we can't actually know for sure right now. Seeing the other Lokis basically proves that the way they present themselves doesn't matter, even if it's not directly said. We're given the old comic version, a kid, a black man, and an alligator, as well as many more who show up later. The main 6 Lokis that the series has shown us have told their nexus events, besides Sylvie, and given what they are and how old most Lokis are, it's very safe to assume that how they appear doesn't matter. So this confirms that there are multiple universes that the TVA watch over. Because of all this, I would say that it's safe to just go ahead and assume that Syvlie is in fact just a gender bent Loki, which doesn't actually do anything about Loki being genderfluid. However, Syvlie could of just been presenting as female at the time of her nexus event, and had just chosen to stay that way after the TVA took her life away from her.
