Facts about the crew:
I wanna infodump abt the critters in my au so here-
* Hoppy is Australian
* Kickin and Picky have southern accents
* Hoppy is on the volleyball team
* Kickin is on the soccer team
* Hoppy and Kickin race to school and class everyday
* Dogday is a social butterfly and the leader of the friend group
* Picky is the (sorta) mean older sister friend
* Bobby is the sweet mother friend
* Hoppy is the shortest while Bubba is the tallest of the friend group, Bobby is the second tallest
* Bubba is most likely to snap someday, either from pressure to maintain his grades or from keeping his friends from getting in trouble for the shit the pull
* Crafty is a huge Hatsune Miku stan and has a cosplay of her, she also knows how to sew and dance but she mainly dances in private
* Catnap and Crafty can sit together in silence for hours and not be bored
* Dogday has a crush on Catnap but the cat is oblivious
* Picky’s mother is a home baker
* Kickin and Bubba are deathly scared of spiders and mice
* Bobby has a wattpad profile where she posts very fluffy love stories
* Catnap is selectively mute and rarely speaks and Dogday is the person he talks to the most and also is the one who understand him
* Craftycorn and Catnap have autism, they both are on different sides of the spectrum. Dogday and Hoppy have ADHD. Hoppy was diagnosed earlier than Dogday
* Bubba and Crafty were childhood best friends, often times he lets her know what social cues she’s missing and basically acting like a big brother for her
* Kickin has a birth defect which basically makes him look like a chick (his feathers are forever yellow) which makes him look younger in comparison to his brothers
* Hoppy has 9 other siblings, she’s the youngest out of all of them
* Picky is an only child but shares a sisterly bond with Craftycorn, often accompanying her to conventions in a simple cosplay of applejack or Jessie from Toy Story
* Everyone knows about Dogday’s feelings for Catnap, except Catnap. They all agreed to not talk about as to not upset Dogday or rush him
* Dogday has an older sister, who used to practice makeup on him when he was a child. So if you ask her kindly she will be more than happy to show you a picture of toddler Dogday with glittery eyeshadow and lipstick making a duck kissy face.
* Catnap lives with his adopted father, who is pretty laid back and lets Catnap live his own life. He’s also very exhausted from work but will still listen to Catnap if he’s having some trouble
* The red lines under Catnap’s eyes aren’t eyeliner, nor is the cross on his forhead

I want to introduce a disability concept that I've been calling paradoxical stigma.
What is paradoxical stigma? It's the stigma against:
1) The actually disabling traits of a disability that's in the spotlight for the parts of it that are convenient to accommodate, and/or
2) The diagnosis of such a disability itself,
Due to the assumption that the spotlight renders it "destigmatized" and no longer in need of support.
As of right now, at least around this corner of the internet, the most obvious examples of this are autism and ADHD. It's become disturbingly common for people to treat those like Diet Disabilities That Don't Actually Count. It's been really interesting to watch the popular attitude about these disorders shift from "autism is either a tragedy or an excuse depending on 'severity', and ADHD is just a myth used to drug kids into complicity instead of teaching them actual skills", to "actually these are real disorders that affect people in all aspects of their lives", to "I GUESS they're real disorders but honestly EVERYONE has them can't we worry about more SERIOUS ones?" and...not in a good way.
It comes up...partially as a legitimate backlash to people with these disorders who think that invisible disability and/or neurodivergence begins and ends at their experience, and...yeah, that's a problem all right, in fact if I had a dollar for every asshole who looked at my struggles with things like keeping my space clean or not fucking up my medication doses DUE TO ADHD and went "well I have the same diagnosis and I don't have THAT problem to THAT extent, obviously you're just lazy and careless", or saw me having an AUTISTIC meltdown and called it "bullying" or worse because I get loud and insisted that I NEED to CONTROL that CHOSEN BEHAVIOR if I want to not be a Bad Person, or heard about how AUTISTIC overstimulation defense measures play into my trouble with cleaning and insisted that well THEY'RE autistic too and don't have that specific problem so this is clearly weaponized helplessness because I just don't WANT to learn to do better, I'd...probably have a lot more assistive tech. I also get really, really frustrated and upset when people use RSD to mean "if you ever criticize me that's the height of ableism, no matter how much I'm actually fucking up and hurting you" - especially since it's so often invoked as a defense against being lightly criticized for ACTUALLY harmful behavior and as much as it sucks there IS no substitute to make that more emotional-dysregulation-friendly beyond basic kindness in criticism. That attitude exists. It's bad.
And yet, theoretically, I think we could all agree that the response to that should NEVER be to reinvent the old "ugh, those aren't REAL disabilities, those are just EXCUSES that LAZY PARENTS make for kids being kids, what they need is DISCIPLINE" stereotype of the 90s-2000s, just now aimed at those same kids as adults, in ostensibly supportive spaces - or arguably worse, to revert all our understanding of support needs to the externally judged high-functioning/low-functioning dichotomy.
What really sets this apart as paradoxical stigma, rather than just garden-variety lateral ableism, is that 1) we CAN theoretically all agree that reinventing those stereotypes is a terrible response, yet many people do it anyway, and 2) these stereotypes are invoked not only because of that intracommunity misbehavior, but both within and outside of disabled spaces, because of the illusion that you can bring up those disorders and have them taken seriously because fidget toys and stim videos and weighted blankets are popular now. An event having quiet rooms, or backlash to Autism Speaks being visible outside of autistic spaces, will be taken as "proof" that autism stigma is over forever and anyone who complains about it is just a whiner who doesn't know how good they have it...even when what they're complaining about is, say, being barred from migration. Paradoxical stigma is enacted by people who think that they, alone, are standing up against someone who's throwing others under the bus to continue to progress their own limited agenda...when in fact they're speaking a very popular shitty opinion, that MANY of the people making that claim would disagree with HEAVILY once separated from the "crab bucket reflex".
As a personal example, the result is that when I'm looking for assistance, I'm...hesitant to bring up those diagnoses, because I know I'm going to be written off as "obviously a high-functioning low-support needs scammer who just doesn't WANT to CONTRIBUTE TO SOCIETY and EARN things" - even by people who otherwise agree that people should be allowed to survive even if they truly are the living strawman lazy bum who has nothing wrong with them but just WANTS to lay around eating junk food and doing drugs all day, AND that disability deserves to be respected, isn't black-and-white, and affects everyone differently; somehow when these combine in the context of my diagnoses that have had a very sanitized version of themselves "destigmatized" on TikTok, they cancel out into blatant reactionary sentiment indistinguishable from what I'd hear from my shitty token Republican uncle.
So, that's paradoxical stigma. Feel free to use the term if you find it useful.

Wild Kratts Headcanons
genuinely have no clue if this fandom is dead or not but I’ve fallen down a rabbit hole and it isn’t stopping. So anyway here we go! All of my hc’s are strictly platonic, Krattcest shippers back away rn 🤺. This is the 2D characters and not referring to the actual people! I know the characters are basically them but this is specifically for the cartoon. they’re all headcanons I either liked or had myself.
-Being as close as they are, Martin and Chris are very physically affectionate with one another (and with the Tortuga crew at times, but mostly the bros). They’re always giving each other hugs or leaning on the others shoulder, or Chris just straight up climbs onto Martin’s back/shoulders.
-With their friends, the boys are always giving them hugs, small shoulder touches, things like that. It’s their natural way of interacting with the people they care about.
-The Kratts have been found sleeping in trees various times (mainly Chris). At this point nobody questions it though they do get worried about him falling out and getting hurt.
-The Kratt Bros are also sometimes found sleeping in the same hammock, whether it’s in the Tortuga or hung up on a tree branch. They usually do this when the other has a nightmare or after partially tough missions (I.E:Flight of The Pollinators, Platypus Cafe, plus other episodes but these are the ones I heard about most and I haven’t gotten to watching too much of the show again yet). Touch is their love language and sometimes they need this to remind themselves the other is okay.
-Chris climbs basically everything. He loves climbing and if you took him to a rock wall climbing gym he’d have a field day. You can find him in the oddest places on the Tortuga.
-Aviva isn’t the most touchy person but will give hugs out of gratitude/happiness.
-The brothers share a single braincell. That is all.
-Jimmy has a very close relationship to his grandmother and was raised by her; which is why he knows all of her recipes.
-Aviva is like a mom friend. Not in the sense she’s motherly but in the sense she has to babysit two hyperactive brothers who are constantly running around/getting in trouble and breaking things.
-Martin can carry Chris no problem (on his back, shoulders or bridal style), but Chris cannot carry Martin on his back/shoulders for long. Though he can hold him bridal style (as we have seen.)
-The bros are huge nerds. If you ask them about animals they will talk for HOURS about them.
-Koki is downright fabulous and can rock anything. Don’t @ me.
-Martin has ADHD and Chris has autism. Martin fidgets, gets distracted easily, and can act impulsively (though reels Chris in when Chris is the one being impulsive). He tends to run off during creature adventures. He has combined presentation ADHD and Martin also has a tendency to forget to charge his creature pod.
-As for Chris, he has autism. He doesn’t recognize social cues and corrects people when he thinks they’re wrong about something, and doesn’t realize when they’re annoyed with him for it. He also can be pretty blunt. And he has to keep things organized, such as how he organized all of his creature disks and hates them being moved out of place.
-Chris, out of everyone, cusses the most. He doesn’t around the Wild Kratt Kids but he will when with the crew/his brother. He has definitely called Zach a motherf*cker and Aviva and Martin found it hilarious.
-The Tortuga Gang have frequent movie nights, but they will never watch a movie where an animal dies with the brothers. They WILL cry.
-After the Tazzy Incident, Chris still has some Tazzy traits. Mostly just sharper canines but also more sensitive senses. He can’t hear, smell and see are well as he could when in tazzy form but it’s definitely increased from normal. His eyes also do that thing cat eyes do when they’re in the dark and the light hits them. Has 100% given Martin heart attacks and absolutely has used it to mess with Zach.

The deal with New Age, in a nutshell
New Age, neopaganism, and witchcraft are neither synonymous nor mutually inclusive. Anyone who says they are either hasn’t done their research, or is lying to you.
New Age comes from Theosophy, a movement started by Helena Blavatsky, a white woman whose mission was ostensibly to seek out the perennial philosophy in the world’s religions. However, plenty of evidence points to Blavatsky being less than honest.
Helena Blavatsky was racist as fuck. She presumed to know what the traditions of non-white people were about better than they did themselves. She also wasn’t shy about referring to POC as s*v*ges. Some of her fans claim that she wasn’t actually racist because she had positive things to say about some POC, but she was basically painting them as pure and uncorrupted by civilization, so... still racist.
She was also into that gender essentialism that TERFs love oh so much - for example, she claimed that the goats of Thor’s chariot represented male power, while the reins that held them in place represented the female principle. Because, you know, women are passive yet restrain men from running absolutely wild.
Seriously if you have any doubt that this woman’s mind was full of rancid garbage, just flip through Isis Unveiled and The Secret Doctrine for yourself; they’re literally free online.
The term “New Age” refers to what Helena Blavatsky called the Fifth Round (supposedly, we’re currently in the Fourth Round). Basically she believed that humanity is on a path of spiritual evolution, and that we’re about to enter a new phase in our evolution. This right here is the core tenet of New Age belief.
Entering the Fifth Round basically entails most of humanity dying off, leaving behind those enlightened (particularly by Blavatsky’s teachings) enough to become the fifth root race; IE, the progenitors of the next wave of humanity.
This is literally spiritual eugenics.
Helena Blavatsky didn’t invent Nazism but boy howdy did Nazis love her ideas, which should tell you a lot about what she peddled.
Like any other religious movement, New Age has evolved over time and not all members believe the exact same things. However, they pretty much all believe that getting on the spiritual evolution train means following their practices and subscribing to their beliefs.
Modern New Agers still perpetuate colonialism by presuming to understand what other people’s religious traditions are about better than they do.
Modern New Agers are huge fans of the ancient aliens hypothesis, which has always been racist bullshit.
So yeah, it’s still spiritual eugenics, and it’s still racist as hell.
They are constantly spiritualizing health conditions. Like being tired and sad all the time is supposedly an “ascension symptom.” Tinnitus is supposedly the universe trying to communicate with you. Symptoms of autism and ADHD supposedly mean you’re a starseed, indigo child, crystal child, or whatever else.
Starseeds, supposedly, are alien beings who have incarnated into human bodies in order to help Earth ascend by spreading New Age teachings. Basically, they’re missionaries from space.
New Agers claim starseeds were attested in many ancient traditions (especially Egyptian and Mesoamerican), but not a single one of them can produce a single scrap of evidence to substantiate this. (Literally the oldest text I’ve ever been able to locate that contains anything resembling a starseed is The Martian, an 1898 fiction novel.)
See how the racism just keeps compounding?
New Age is deeply tied into right wing conspiracy theories. The New Age to alt right pipeline is well-documented phenomena.
New Agers push spiritual bypassing and toxic positivity like whoa nelly. Some of them are worse about it than others, but it’s an extremely common thing.
A lot of them believe in what’s in The Emerald Tablets of Thoth the Atlantean (not to be confused with The Emerald Tablet), a text that popped up in the early 20th century and claims a guy from Atlantis took over Egypt and taught them Atlantean spirituality. (This is very much in contradiction to what Plato said about Atlantis and Egypt, btw.)
New Agers are deeply into the Law of Attraction, which derives from New Thought, which is basically what happens when a bunch of rich fucks who don’t understand economics decide to spiritualize wealth.
And of course, there are the SCAMS. New Age is absolutely rife with scams, from people selling chunks of glass as powerful crystals for hundreds of dollars (the so-called “Andara crystals”), to people claiming to have “ancient wisdom” or “Native wisdom” they just made up, to all kinds of medical scams.
So yeah, no, there’s no good reason to respect New Age beliefs, because they are rancid.

I know you aren’t a doctor, but is there anything else that, to your knowledge, tends to get diagnosed by alt-doctors as CIRS?
So this is probably going to piss some people off, but I genuinely believe that CIRS (which as I've talked about before as being... questionable as a diagnosis) is more likely to be a mast cell disorder.
The science and reasoning around CIRS and the obsession with "toxins" and mold is just too vague, and I say that as someone who was at one point diagnosed as CIRS and went through the whole process only to be met with HEAVY resistance from my alt doctors when I wanted to know WHY something was "toxic" and why I wasn't improving despite doing what they recommended.
They couldn't explain it. Thing Just Bad. And if I wasn't improving, it was my fault for not removing enough "toxins" from my environment.
Well, turns out some of those things weren't universally "toxic," I just have an immune disorder (MCAS) that makes them toxic to me, where my body thinks harmless things are a threat-- including my own hormonal cycle!
There was mold killing me, though, that was indeed making my mast cells unstable and sending me into anaphylaxis on a regular basis and causing all kinds of neurological problems. Mast cell stabilizers and removing the mold from my home did more good for me than any of the CIRS treatments.
(Important note: not everyone with MCAS experiences anaphylaxis as a symptom, and it is not a requisite of diagnosis.)
MCAS is not the only form of mast cell dysfunction either. There's also mastocytosis and Hereditary Alpha tryptasemia. You can read more about them at The Mast Cell Disease Society. (There are also different types of MCAS for anyone interested.)
Other things I've seen alt-doctors misdiagnose as CIRS over the years include:
Dysautonimia (high rates of comorbidity with MCAS)
Fibromyalgia (some recent research suggests that mast cells play a role in the onset of fibromyalgia)
ME/CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome)
ADHD
Autism
Celiac Disease
Multiple Chemical Sensitivity Disorder (which I also think is mast cell related, tbh.)
Pernicious Anemia (the other thing that was killing, because my untreated MCAS was stopping me from absorbing nutrients from my food)
Chronic migraines.
SIBO (which can lead to secondary MCAS)
Various different mood disorders
Interstitial Cystitis (also a common symptom of various mast cell disorders)
And I'm sure a couple more I'm just forgetting right now.
Basically, there are a lot of things CIRS could actually turn out to be. But my money is on some form of mast cell fuckery.

More Headcanons: cause I love projecting on my favorite characters
The whole “ew are we in Staten Island” quote is an inside joke that the twins have
5 years ago they ended up in Staten island by themselves and they described it as “the worst experience ever”
They refuse to go anywhere near Staten island after the “Incident™” and they also refuse to talk about it
Anytime anyone mentions Staten Island the twins will interrupt them and say “ew ew gross don't talk about that evil place while I’m in the room!”
And the single time Splinter ever stepped foot in Staten Island the twins insisted that he needed to be decontaminated before he reentered the lair
For the first 5 years of their life, the boys shared a room
Donnie and Leo shared a bed
Raph had a bed all to himself and Mikey slept in a hammock cause he couldn't fall asleep with Raph snoring in his ear
Donnie’s shell was Leo’s favorite pillow
According to him “memory foam pillows have got nothing on Dontron”
The group will have sleepovers in the living room at least once a week
Sometimes their week is jampacked and it only happens during their movie nights
And sometimes the trauma kind of builds up and they can’t sleep through the night without each other
Leo still uses Donnie as his pillow and when he complains Leo always says that Donnie stole his pillow (he didn’t) and this is payback
Leo and Mikey are both blanket hogs and Raph is a pillow hog
Whenever they have these sleepovers they always make a pillow fort
Donnie is in charge of making the pillow fort stable
He will draw actual detailed blueprints if you leave him alone long enough
Leo is in charge of making sure the fort is comfy
He’ll collect every single clean pillow in the lair and put them in the fort
Raph is in charge of lights and stuffed animals
He’ll just grab Christmas lights and the stuffed animals from his room
April is in charge of bringing the movies and setting up the music
Because who doesn’t love some background music?
And Mikey is in charge of snacks
If anyone tries to step into the kitchen when he’s getting ready he will bite them
Leo and April take turns  painting everyone's nails and the boys take turns styling April’s hair
Sometimes April loves it so much that she asks them to style her hair before class
The boys help April get ready for her dates
She could be dating someone for 8 years and still feel a need to look perfect on date night
Leo helps her with skincare and paints her nails (he has the steadiest hands (cause you know… medic))
Mikey helps her with makeup and he always makes sure that every color in her outfit matches
Donnie helps with accessories (bags/jewelry)
And Raph is mostly there for moral support he’s the one that calms April down after she has a panic attack (cause let’s face it dates are stressful)
They have sibling bracelets (it’s literally just charm bracelets with all their initials in their colors)
When Donnie gave them to the group they cried and hugged each other for a solid minute
There may or may not be a tracker in every single initial
The whole group either has ADHD or autism or both
And sometimes they get really overwhelmed and talking becomes a hassle
And because of that, they learned morse code (because sign language with three fingers is kind of hard)
And sometimes the boys will walk in on the twins furiously tapping on the table (and then they’ll walk back out)
The boys all know some Japanese
Raph knows the basics he can hold a conversation but he can’t read or write
And if Splinter and Leo are talking too fast he’ll get frustrated and give up
Leo is fluent but he only knows how to read and write in Hiragana
And he only speaks Japanese when he’s arguing with Splinter and he doesn’t want the others listening in (or when he wants to talk shit in public)
Donnie can understand Japanese but anytime he tries to reply it always comes out very slow and childlike so he stopped trying
He can read and write in kanji tho
And Mikey only knows how to write in kanji (cause Donnie taught him)
And he knows a few Japanese swear words (that Leo may or may not have taught him)

this is just a theory (i haven't looked into this bit that much) but I feel like the reason that misinformation is so wildly rampant in online communities about ADHD (probably also autism) is in part because of how inaccessible actual professional information about it is.
Like, I remember before I got my diagnosis (what started off this whole thing a while back), I was looking at the CDC website description of symptoms of ADHD with my mom and. If you thought you were neurodivergent and were looking at this thing trying to see if you should get tested, its basically saying "screw you. you're either a child who is going to be here because of their parents, or an adult who is also here because of another neurotypical."
one of the criteria was literally "is often 'on the go' acting as if 'driven by a motor.'" that means absolutely nothing. you are using undefined expressions to explain something to someone who historically is not good at understanding unexplained social norms (such as expressions).
plus, its incredibly subjective. "on the go" could mean something wildly different for one person then the next. and "often" could mean "all the time every day" or "only at school" or even "every other week." not to mention the memory issues that at least a lot of the people who I know with ADHD struggle with.
someone who might have ADHD has no way of knowing if they "often have trouble organizing tasks and activities" or if that is a normal amount. there is no way for them to easily know if they "often do not seem to listen when spoken to directly."
so it seems obvious to me, that they would turn to other people with ADHD. and the easiest place to find them these days is online. thats how I started wondering if I should get diagnosed. they're probably trying to find some other way to understand or know. and since its social media and social media is rampant with misinformation, of course they are going to be fed misinformation.
people are going to tell them "you see this weird thing that you do? I do that too. and its actually because of this much larger thing. trust me." and people will. because there really isn't much of another place for them to turn. they are going to self-diagnose with every disorder under the sun to make themselves feel at home and feel like they aren't weird or wrong.
maybe i'm way off here but I think that if you want people (teens in particular) to stop turning to social media for comfort and information, you should give them other resources that are accessible. that they don't have to pay to see, that they can understand clearly, that acknowledges all the weird things that they feel bad about.
and sort of as a side note: i remember in elementary school, early on (this might have just been my school/city/state), the school set up one of those mobile classrooms on the yard and would pull kids out for like a good couple months to do eye exams. because we've normalized that kids also have eye problems and thats normal. and maybe, could we also get a small little assessment. just to see if we can find neurodivergent kids early on and get them help so that they don't suffer for years and years.
and i'm not talking as someone who has had it hard. i have had it so easy compared to so many others. i have supportive parents and get good grades, and yet, i am constantly burnt out. i constantly feel horrible. not just because of depression. maybe i'm being too radical here but i feel like i shouldn't need a 504 plan to say that if i'm having a panic attack i can leave the room. that if i'm having trouble focusing i can go to the library or somewhere else. that i can get extensions on due dates. that i can see a copy of the notes or lesson for reference. i don't know maybe i'm just incredibly radical that i think people shouldn't have to be expected to work four times as hard to get anything done and then get blamed when they don't live up to the expectation. whether or not they are neurodivergent.

Tips for helping your autistic child thrive at home
So, I'm not a parent myself, but I did grow up in a household where both myself and my sibling (both AFAB) had undiagnosed autism, and we're pretty sure our father is autistic, too. I've also got some teaching experience where I supported neurodivergent children and their families. Based on this experience and my own research, here are some tips you can use at home to help your autistic child thrive. These are biased towards my particular experience and may not apply to your own child, but they should give you an idea of the sorts of things you can do.
Give lots of emotional reassurance - the world is seriously overwhelming for an autistic child. Children's brains are still developing, and the younger they are or the greater their needs are the more help they will need with co-regulation of their emotions. Bear in mind that, especially for AFAB children, they may mask heavily at school and present absolutely no behavoural problems only to come home and explode. This is because home is their safe place where they can show more authentically how they are really feeling.
Be led by your child's needs and interests, and be prepared for these to change over time - many autistic people develop intense interests in specific things, which are known as 'special interests'. The stereotypical special interests most people have heard of are things like trains, but be aware that some girls who are really, REALLY into ponies are actually expressing neurodivergent traits. Showing your support for exploring these interests is hugely beneficial (and makes present buying a breeze lol). Of course, autism is a spectrum and presents differently in different autistic people. Many like the structure of a routine, for example, but don't force a visual timetable on your child if this is clearly something that isn't helping them. As your child gets older, their interests and needs will change with them, so be prepared to adapt and keep the lines of communication open.
Be prepared to give your child extra support navigating friendships and social situations - for many autistic people, social situations are highly stressful for lots of different reasons, and for children who are still learning how to navigate in the world this is doubly true. Encourage your child to develop friendships with others who respect them, but accept that they may not always communicate in ways that are socially expected (eg they may prefer parallel play). Autistic children can sometimes be more vulnerable to bullying or being taken advantage of, so ensure your child knows how to communicate boundaries and what to do if another child (or adult) is causing problems. In more general social situations such as going to the doctor or on holiday, your child may be more anxious and unsure of what is expected of them. Practicing these situations before hand through 'make believe' play is a great way of giving them a chance to develop the appropriate social scripts and feel more at ease.
Be aware that co-morbid conditions are often present alongside autism - it is very common that autistic children will have at least one other physical or mental co-morbid condition (basically means it occurs alongside). My sibling, for example, also has ADHD, PTSD, BPD, anorexia, dyscalculia, anxiety, depression, IBS, anaemia, eczema and insomnia (and yes I DID get permission to share that, it's all in their insta bio anyway). Be on the lookout for other symptoms not necessarily covered by autism and advocate for your child to get the support they need. Another thing to bear in mind is that autism often runs in families - if you or your child's other biological parent recognise traits either in yourselves or in family members, there's probably a reason why.
I really hope my tips were useful to you. As I mentioned already, your child may have very different support needs from me. You know them best.
Follow me for more tips - both for autistic adults and teenagers and parents of autistic children.

People I don't like and the reasons why.
- Minors on adult spaces that make themselves unsafe by willingly entering adult spaces and then blaming adults for discussing adult subjects in those spaces.
- Parents of minors that don't monitor the internet experience if their child properly and get mad at the internet and at other adults for creating adult spaces instead of being mad at themselves for not protecting the children they are responsible for properly.
- Radfems. I believe in equality and real feminism. Not in inequality, reverse sexism, transphobia, shaming people that are comfortable with their femininity because "it's bowing to patriarchy", porn haters, slut shaming other women, child haters, man haters and all the things Radical Feminism stands for.
- People that turn everything into a talk about Palestinians. Shaming people for still having a life when you "feel guilty for just having water" isn't helping anyone. I still help the news spread, I still boycott the brands that support Israel, I still give amounts of money I can afford to give to organizations and people that are trying to raise money for Gaza. Just because I don't post about it all the time and victimize myself online doesn't mean I have forgotten or that I don't care. I can still have a life and support Palestine, it doesn't have to be my whole personality.
- Flat earthers. You're just too stupid to understand physics.
- Vegans that force their naturally carnivore pets to also be vegan because "it feels so wrong to love one animal and eat the other". If you don't like your pet to eat meat or meat based products, get an animal that is a leaf-eater like you, don't torture the poor dog.
- Vegans that walk up to you while you eat a burger and try to talk harass you out of it.
- "Seperate the art from the artist" people. You can't! If your favourite artist is a bad person *cough cough* like Kanye West *cough cough*, you can't listen to their music without supporting them, giving them money, and allowed all the bad things they've done to go answered. You either have to stop listening to their music, or admit to yourself that you're selfish enough to help a bad person continue being a bad person for a couple of songs. You can only "seperate the art from the artist" if the artist is dead, because only then you can enjoy the art without giving money to a bad person.
- People that say "it's freedom of speech" when it's not and then proceed to throw slurs around.
- People that are haters of artists and when you ask them why they say "because I don't like their music" + [incert 584370 incorrect facts the media and other haters pulled out if their asses and can easily be debunked if you put the slightest bit of effort]. Like, no. There's literally nothing wrong with that person and "I don't like their music" is a valid reason to not be a fan, but you don't have to be a hater instead, you can just be indifferent if you don't like their music.
- People that wear shoes inside a house they don't clean.
- People that steal your good without asking when they aren't your siblings. My sister gets a free pass, but you don't. If you want a fry, you'll ask for it and I'll just say yes, because it's just a fry, you don't have to be annoying and steal it.
- People that say "ADHD is not real" or "Aren't we all a bit ADHD?". No, we're not. ADHD is perfectly real and it causes issues with productivity and concentration that you could never imagine, don't use it as an excuse for your laziness and then say "don't we all have done ADHD?". There's medication for it, because it is 100% real, so don't disregard it or say it's not real, it's just getting annoying.
- People that make jokes about autism, mental health problems, SA, sexism, ect and all it "dark humor" but get upset when you crack some dark humor jokes about men or the church.
- Neurotypical people that give the most basic, overhead "advice" ever to neurodivergent people and then think they know better when someone neurodivergent says "I actually have already tried this, and it's not really working for me".
- People that don't believe in the seperation of religion and state. The laws are for everyone not just you, and "everyone" includes people with different religious beliefs and therefore the laws should not be based around your religion.
- People that are Anti-choice. If you don't want to have an abortion, don't. That's good for you. Congratulations. I hope your baby is born healthy and grown up to live a long life and be the smartest, healthiest, happiest, prettiest person ever and I hope they achieve all their dreams. But just because you didn't want to have an abortion doesn't mean you get to tell others what to do. You go and focus on raising your wonderful child and leave me the fuck alone.
- Homophobic and Transphobic people. Because I have normal human decency.
- Racist people. Because I have normal human decency.
- Sexist people. Because I have normal human decency.
- People that chew with their mouth open.
- People that are "Lesbian Truthers" when it comes to a female character that isn't canonically a lesbian and has shown attraction to men in the past and headcannon them as lesbian and then call homophobic whoever disagrees. I'm looking at you Lesbian Azula Truthers.
- People that are "Lesbian Truthers" when it comes to AN ACTUAL HUMAL PERSON that has shown attraction to men MULTIPLE TIMES, FOR YEARS AND YEARS and have the fucking nerve to "headcannon" them as lesbians AS IF THEY AREN'T ACTUAL HUMSN BEINGS AND NOT CHARACTERS, and then call you homophobic when you say "hey hadn't this person dated multiple men openly? And I actually remember them saying they don't like you be all up their business and guessing their sexuality." I am looking at you Gaylors (aka Taylor Swift Lesbian Truthers). K!ll yourself Gaylors. Please.
- People that blame the child for being abused.
- People that get big dogs and stuff them into little apartments and don't exercise them properly on a daily basis.
- People that get bird and stuff them into tiny cages all day long for all their lives.
- People that are prejudiced again certain dog breeds when it's proven that there's no bad breed, just but owners.
- People that are haters just to troll.
- People that say "I'm not done talking yet". Honey, if you wanted to give a speech you should have told me so that I wouldn't show up. This is a conversation.
- Teachers that don't like kids. Why tf would you get this job then? And why do you have to torture the kids now?

saw your reply to the ask about black dog/rivals, so here's some questions! i'm not the person who sent the ask, but i have a bunch of questions anyways. sorry if you've answered them before
general:
what are their favorite forms of affection?
favorite plants, if any
who gets nightmares more (and how they help each other!!)
how do you think they'd react to the other betraying them
black dog:
(i haven't read that much of the stuff about your black dog au so sorry if some of this is just flat out wrong)
does anyone figure it out before techno
does punz know beforehand (assuming staged duo are still allies in this)
is...is there a grave for dream?? a pyre? a funeral? something of that nature??
do dream's former friends miss him at all. sapnap, george, anyone
does dream get any pets as laelaps
okay that's it
hope you are well! and good luck with nano!
(ps what does auhdh4auhdh mean? for a completely unrelated post. i know t4t is trans4trans but what does the acronym auhdh stand for. i have been wracking my brain to figure it out and....i just cant)
sorry this took so long for me to answer!! <3 <3
for general:
techno is pretty affectionate with his friends! he loves to hug them and sniff them and snorf them. he's a cuddle person. he loves to nap and hold onto his friends. he does try to play it cool sometimes but techno is a dork and he loves his friends. he loves to make grand gestures of gifts or declarations of friendship. dream isn't as obvious with affection. but he sometimes leans against techno or rests his head on techno's shoulder for a second. mostly though it's just the fact he's there and he'll always be there, y'know?
dandelions for techno, roses for dream!
dream. they're not very vivid, it's more like bits and pieces that makes it hard for him to sleep in the first place. he's a very light sleeper because of that. but the upside to having a large piglin friend is that he can basically act as a weighted blanket (phil also learned this, back in the day). having techno there helps.
this one is really hard for me because a main part of rivals duo is that they haven't betrayed each other. like, that is a key point. dream and techno both mention it, more than once. so if either of them ever did? i think it'd be a lot of complete denial. i think they'd try to come up with a reason as to why the other betrayed them. then techno would just. be sad. how did it end up like this? while dream would probably try to hide his sadness by saying he should've seen it coming.
okay, black dog questions!
techno is the first one to figure it out. he spends the most time around laelaps and he was also the one to spent the most time around dream out of all the people who are in consistent contact with laelaps.
punz doesn't know. that was kind of the whole point. no one knew dream wouldn't come back except dream. and dream wasn't planning on ever coming back. he wanted his death to be permanent but his limbo got to him after awhile.
there is! techno and punz bury him. only they know where it is. it's small. it doesn't have a name (they were afraid if anyone found it, they'd vandalize it). but it's there.
yeah, they do. but in the sense they've mourned him before this. to them, they've already lost him. they lost him before the prison, really. or at least during the prison arc.
he doesn't. or i'm not sure yet! but he's really focused on his job and he just doesn't have the time. i might give him something, though. i think he deserves to have a cat.
oh! and auhdh is just a shorthand way of saying that someone has both autism and adhd! both techno and dream canonically have adhd but i also headcanon them as being autistic. i just get that vibe from them!

LGBTQ+ Disabled Characters Showdown Round 1, Wave 2, Poll 16
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A character being totally canon LGBTQ+ and disabled was not required to be in this competition. Please check qualifications and propaganda before asking why a character is included.
Check out the other polls in this wave and prior here.
Wayne Terrisborn-Mistborn
Qualifications:
He's canonically disabled in that he has PTSD and kleptomania, which are quite evident in the text and confirmed by word-of-god anyway. He's also very neurodivergent coded in other ways--headcanons for autism, ADHD, and BPD would all have lots of supporting evidence. He isn't canonically queer in a cut-and-dry sense, but saying he's queer wouldn't just be fanon either (though it generally is that); basically, he's canonically gnc and likes to crossdress sometimes, and for various reasons the way he thinks and talks about that is more 'I decide to be a woman sometimes' than 'I decide to dress as a woman sometimes'. Also, in fanon he's bi/pan, on the canon basis that he loves his ambiguously gendered girlfriend however she's presenting at the moment. Long story short--I wouldn't submit someone as queer if it were simply fanon, regardless of the rules, but I think what he's got going on is quantifiably queer enough that it doesn't matter if there's concrete confirmation of it or not.
Propaganda:
In addition to the above, I would like to note that he's chaos incarnate.
Amaya-The Dragon Prince
Qualifications:
1- Deaf, uses sign language 2- Sapphic, married to a female elf
Deaf and not straight (I don't know if they've mentioned her suxuality in canon, but she's dating a woman)
She is in an explicit relationship with Janai (also female, very very gay) and is deaf.
Amaya is a general of the Katolis army. She is deaf since birth and communicates in sign language. She's the best warrior in the human lands and she is a raging lesbian.
She's Deaf and a lesbian Canonically deaf and engaged to a woman
Propaganda:
Amaya is so cool. This is the only time I have ever seen a memorable Deaf/HOH person on a children's tv show. Her disability is dealt with really well. She isn't pitied for it. On the contrary, she's a fricking general! Did I mention she's cool? In terms of queer stuff, she's married to a literal queen (actually I haven't seen the show in a while, so its at the very least a queen-adjacent figure), and they're so cute together and every time I see them it makes me stim. Also she's just a really great character in general (no pun intended). Like, she will hunt you down and kill you if you so much as give her nephew a papercut. She's such a badass like genuinely.
She's a knight and a cool aunt and I love her!
Amaya and her partner, Janai, are the classic enemies-to-lovers couple. Amaya, although deaf, does not let her disability stop her from being the best soldier of her kingdom and has rightfully taken the position of general. She's so badass, but also kind and loving. She's just amazing.
As I said before, she is a raging badass lesbian who is engaged to the queen of Sunfire Elves, who is also the best warrior in this elven nation. Her fiancee is learning sign language for her. They are so in love it physically hurts!!!!
I'm bad at the propaganda thing but I'll give it a try She uses ASL and has an interpreter she's close to. She's also a General of her home kingdom... up until she gets captured by an enemy princess and falls in love. Now that princess is a queen, and as of the last episode they're engaged to be married. Also they share a bed and multiple kisses onscreen.
Is a badass fighter, determined, fiercely protects those she loves
Anything Else?:
I LOVE HER SO MUCH
The qualifications and propaganda paragraphs correspond, @yurayuramiharin is the fourth submitter, the anything else section is the first submitter.

One of my special interests is fruits. I love talking about all the different fruits out there, especially the ones that the US either doesn't have or doesn't even know they exist. And not just different species of fruits but the fact there's so many variations of fruit that have different texture/tastes. Like there's so many different bananas, some having berry flavor to them, some are creamier, some have more bite, some are better for savory dishes while others are for desert/eating by itself. I want to get a fruit box from miamifruit.org (especially the mango box, love me mangos.)
Pretty sure I have autism, but I currently just have ADHD as confirmed diagnosis... which basically allows me to just absorb a lot of information on different topics and have more than one special interest, so I have a lot of different info I can info dump. X'D ... Rambling, but ye, I to also love your info blurbs because uh yeah tasty tasty information make brain go brr.
Yeah I’ve got both Autism and ADHD, although I was unaware of the ADHD until later in life.
Personally my favorite fruit are apples. I love how many wonderful delicious types there are, and yet people still eat red delicious for some reason. Gross mealy textured barely-sweet red delicious whose only noteworthy trait is that it’s very red. Personally I like a bit of tartness from my apples. And a firm texture. If I want them soft I can always bake them, and that’s easier than ever with an air fryer. Crazy how all the apple types are clones of eachother and planting the seeds from an apple is just rolling the apple lottery and most of the time you get junk. Plants are whack in general but apples are extra whack.
-TQ

KLOKTOBER 2023
Day 4: favorite headcanon
I don't rlly have any super favorite headcannons? So I just kinda tossed some general headcannons I have for each character lawlz
More about each character cause some of the headcannons are rlly vague lawlz
Nathan:
Hes on the Aromantic spectrum, where although he wants a romantic relationship, hes never rlly comfortable in relationships. Hes heteromantic though, where any romantic feelings he may have are only for women, and he generally find women way more attractive than men, but he still has those moments where he finds a guy rlly sexually attractive (cough cough pickles)
Also hes so autism coded it's like not even funny. He probably has the worst sensory issues when he eats chips and gets all that residue on his fingers.
Pickles:
Transgender!!!! I like to think he got top surgery as soon as money started rolling in for the band, and he probably also got bottom surgery also so he can fuck groupies without having to worry about them outing him or smth. That or hes a classic strap on man, which would also be super real of him.
This man is totally bi, he doesnt rlly have any major preference, but just goes for women more often.
I also like to think hed got ADHD but thats also me projecting like a madman cause mwehehe
Toki:
I like to think he's pansexual but like, kinda doesnt rlly realize it? Like, he generally finds all sorts of people attractive, but doesnt elly act on anything, especially with other men cause he thinks it's too gay or something. All around he doesnt have a preference, and his attraction to people isnt bound by their gender.
I also like to think hes nonbinary, in the sense where he doesnt consider himself to be innately masculine or feminine at his core. That being said, hes like never heard of nonbinary people before, and hes comfortable enough as is, and knows who he is that he doesnt rlly care to put labels onto himself in that way. If he cared about pronouns, hed probably go by he/they/she
Hes also totally autistic, maybe audhd but idk
Skwisgaar:
I'm sorry, I cant see him as anything else but straight. I mean, I could see him fooling around with other guys, but I dont think he would have any real sexual attraction to them, it would just be for fun. (I know skwistok shippers are not happy with me about this but IM SORRY I JUST CANT SEE HIM DOIN THATT)
That being said, I also kinda see him falling under the aromantic spectrum, specifically where he may experience minor amounts of romantic attraction, but sees no real importance in either engaging in it, or being in a romantic relationship in general.
The dyslexia bit is kinda canon knowing how he has music dyslexia with sheet music, but I also like to think he struggles with reading in general. That being said, hes probably rlly good at counting knowing how amazing he is at guitar.
Murderface:
How I see him, hes a closeted bisexual, and I mean CLOSETED!! Hes probably entirely oblivious about everyone elses queer identities and sees his attraction to men as an aberration of sorts. I also like to think he may find men more attractive, but would never admit it as long as he lives.
Charles:
I fought demons here cause I legit see Charles as just, gay. BUT, after some thought I was like, erm, maybe he would take interest in some women?? So I just said he was bi with a major preference for men.
I also see Charles falling under the asexual spectrum, specifically where he does experience minimal sexual attraction, and isnt against having sex, but he doesnt see any importance it and is way too fucking busy. He has better things to do, basically.

Introduction!
Tumblr media
Hello! You can call me Ren or William and I go by he/they/it pronouns. I’m quite new to Tumblr so I do apologize for any mistakes I may make along the way while I get to know this social media. I’m a multi-fandom fanfiction author, and I’m always open to certain requests! Here’s some more about me so you know what fandoms I write for and what I will and won’t write:

“Will and Won’t”s
Will do angst, fluff, comfort, smut, whatever you can imagine. I’m willing to write incredibly graphic and intense works, but when it comes to smut, nothing too kinky. And please, although it shouldn’t even have to be said, do not request smut for characters under the age of eighteen (I won’t do aged up versions of minor characters either).
Will do almost any ship, but there are some ships I won’t write for, specifically abusive ships and ships including incest or ships with large age gaps. Other than that, I’m pretty open for even some of the most wildest ships. There’s also a few characters I may refuse to write certain types of fanfiction for because of personal reasons such as them being a triggering character for me (such as Asuka from NGE), me despising their character because they’re a disgusting person (such as Mori from BSD), and etcetera.
Will do character x reader works, polyamory “x reader” works, and other various forms of that genre. I’m fine with pretty much anything.
Will do works featuring mental disorders including depression, anxiety, autism, ADHD, etcetera. I’m very open to whatever and whatever headcanons you may want me to include!
Basic DNI/WON’TS including: racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, pedophilia, sexism, anti-abortion… along those lines.
For more info on me, here are some little facts!
I have diagnosed autism, depression, and anxiety. I have undiagnosed ADHD.
I’m omni-pansexual and arospike.
I identify as a demiboy
I like to analyze characters a lot, resulting in plenty of essays on some of the characters from my favorite fandoms (especially BSD). If you ever want to request an analysis, that’s totally welcome too!
My top eight kins are William James Moriarty, Satoru Gojo, Julian Devorak, (BBC) Sherlock Holmes, Kaeya, Ranpo Edogawa, Fleabag, and Osamu Dazai.
My current top five favorite ships are Sherliam (from MTP), Kawoshin (from NGE), Satosugu (from JJK), Johnlock (from BBC Sherlock), and Asrian (from The Arcana).
I am unhealthily obsessed right now with The Arcana’s Asra.

Asked by @sleepyendymion
Of course!!
OP you have no idea what you've done by enabling me to ramble I'm stimming so much, literally such an honor I'm so flattered omg
To start off with the basics, Hound is currently a Sergent of Task Force 141, after being transferred numerous times through various forces and even KorTac and SpecGru ops. At a certain point, they were a combat medic and a captain as well. I'm not gonna get too deep into their whole journey because spoilers for a future work of mine, but I can say that their backstory is not a happy one, and falls into the sort of "dark past" trope.
In terms of looks, nobody's seen their full face thanks to how they constantly wear a visor, a balaclava, a trapper hat, and their iconic, painted, muzzle-like mask. Their scarf also doubles as a hood and mask sometimes. Most find them intimidating at first sight, especially after reading their (heavily censored) file, seeing how damn big they are, and hearing all the rumors that float around.
It doesn't help either when they can initially come off as blunt, distant, and on the verge of being a extremely well-trained or horribly rabid dog. Nor the fact that they have deep-rooted issues pertaining to their identity. Though, over time, they'll grow to be warmer, even humorous and friendly at times.
Extra:
Hound goes by they/he/any pronouns. They haven't labeled themselves, don't really care about what people perceive them as or the gender of their partner, and they are perfectly comfortable having multiple partners.
I have no idea what their sex is but they've had plenty :] (probably amab?)
He is a big boy at 6'8-9" (204-205cm) and built to look either jacked when he flexes or a wall of soft, relaxed muscle that borderlines chub.
They're multilingual, knowing a handful of languages and having a hint of an accent at times.
He's probably around the same age as Ghost or Soap (mid-late 20s to early 30s?).
Neurodivergent as hell, we're talkin' social anxiety, ADHD, maybe even autism, who knows because this dumbass refuses to see a proper therapist.
He's so emotionally dense, like he's the epitome of 'thembo/himbo'. Sometimes he'll seem wise only to later make you wonder how are they even coping with themselves.
Their first callsign was actually Mutt, Hound was only a more "recent" development for them, post joining the 141.
Small doodle for now since I'm saving the big stuff for later on<3
Tumblr media
That's it for now! Again, I don't wanna dip into spoiler territory because I am considering making a series for them (feel free to ask about that teehee-). Also, if any of you are interested in x reader fics with him, send as many as you like!
