“All this grading,” you sigh, scrolling past the multiple pages of someone’s final on Aristotle’s legacy. “And a day before Christmas Eve, too. ”
Namjoon laughs ruefully, flipping through a report. “The faster we get it done, the faster we get to leave, Y/N.”
“Mm,” you hum, toying with your pen in your hand. You can’t help but openly gaze at him from across his desk; he just looks delectable when he wears his sexy glasses, and that one brown turtleneck underneath a tweed blazer. “Get to leave, huh? And what are we doing after that?”
Namjoon cracks a small side-grin to himself, before his dragon eyes focus on another report upon his desk. “We won’t find out if you don’t stop staring at me and get some work done, babe.”

Thievery and Mischief- (a descendants/marvel crossover)
Tumblr media
The next day I wake up at the crack of dawn, already hearing the sound of drums in the streets. My chamber doors open to reveal my maids bringing in my dress and the Crown Jewels.
”Princess, it’s the festival day,” One of the maids alerts me.
I sit up from my bed, my eyes slightly sore from crying.
”Can you please fetch me Lady Evie and Angel?” I ask her.
She nods and later she returns with both of them.
“Hey, how’re you doing?” Evie asks me in a low hush.
I yawn in exhaustion.
“If I’m honest, I feel like crap. But today I have to put on a brave face, for my people,” I say, my eyes gaining focus.
”Are you sure you can go forward with the festival? I mean your cousin can easily-“ Angel starts.
”Absolutely not. I am the crown princess. This is my tradition, my duty. I put my duty before my heart, and no idiot like him is gonna stop me from being with the people I am sworn to protect,” I say, in a frustrated voice.
——————
A couple hours later, the celebrations in Agrabah continue even as we pack to depart from the dock. As I danced, prayed and sang, on the outside I held a smile that shined for ages, but on the inside, I wanted to curl into a ball and cry. But I had to pull through. I just had to.
As soon as we make it to the ship, I head for my room, one side now empty since Jay moved his stuff out.
He moved his stuff out.
The thought that he isn’t here in this room with me, saddens me further. The fact I’m lonely and sad and he isn’t here to comfort me, makes my tears want to slip further. Even as the ship embarks to Atlantica, I fight the urge to throw myself over the deck of the ship and stay in Agrabah for as long as possible.
But I stay, sitting on the bed and sniffling softly.
I soon get a text from Mal.
”I know you’re lonely :(  wanna come to my room?” The text reads.
I debate it for a second, but then collect my pillow and walk to Mal’s room. When I reach it, I hear giggling inside. I open the door and see Natasha, Evie, Jordan, Wanda, Arabella and Jane conversing.
”Adri! I’m glad you came,” Mal says with a smile, kissing my cheeks politely.
I sigh softly and keep to myself.
“I couldn’t imagine how you must feel. Having to be separated from Jay. Separating yourself from Loki because of him too,” Wanda says to me.
I watch as Arabella’s expression changes.
”Did you- read my mind?” I ask, confused.
”I’m also a sorcerer. You’re quite vulnerable at this moment. You must be in huge pain,” Wanda says shortly.
“What happened to Loki?” Arabella asks.
"Nothing, he just decided to keep distance after the whole situation. Since the date and all," I explain in short, not attempting to give away details of what occurred that night.
"Listen, I know men is the least thing you wanna talk about right now, so can we please change the topic?" Natasha suggests.
The rest of the girls agree and Arabella huffs.
"I just wanted to know if my shy ass cousin was a good kisser that's all," Arabella teases.
"He was," I say shortly.
Her eyes widen and her jaw drops but Natasha punches her shoulder and she scrunches her nose in disgust.
"Why are we all here anyways?" Evie asks Mal.
"So Arabella can give details about our excursion in Atlantica," Mal says.
Suddenly flustered, a pink faced Arabella suddenly jolts out of her seat.
"The plans! Oh my gods I almost forgot. Honestly, I was hoping to plan something in time but with all this packing and enjoying Agrabah (for the most part), I mean who would've thought I needed to plan something in my kingdom myself?" Arabella explains nervously.
"Soooo, you have nothing planned?" Jordan asks.
"Yes," Arabella gulps.
"Ben gave you all 3 weeks to plan, Bella. You should've done that instead of hooking me up with Loki," I say playfully.
"Well, excuse me, you went on a date with him and I'm sure you enjoyed it," Arabella scoffs. "Besides, all there is to do in Atlantica is explore. Look through our aquariums, admire our castles, enjoy the beach and the pool, the lagoons, all you have to do is protect the ocean and not harm it and that's it," Arabella says.
"Would Melody have suggested such a carefree approach?" Jordan teases.
Arabella throws a loose pillow at my cousins face and she yelps from the impact.
"I am not my sister!" Arabella exclaims.
"I was kidding, my god," Jordan says.
"You girls remind me of when I was in the academy," Natasha recalls, speaking to me now.
"Academy?" I ask.
"Being Russian, I went to an all-female academy. I trained in ballet as well as other marksman skills. And in the dorms, the girls would talk and fool around just like this," Natasha says.
"Did you ever have anyone to talk to like this?" I ask.
"I was groomed since I was a child. Into a weapon. Everyone was always too scared to talk to me," Natasha recalls bluntly.
"Glad I'm not the only one," Wanda says softly.
"I second that," I say solemnly.
"Me and my brother were taken by HYDRA as teenagers. We protested against war before then. HYDRA took us in as new test-subjects for a super soldier serum. Instead, we gained our abilities and were trained to use them," Wanda explains.
"I've heard about that from Bucky. People all around the world have been trying to remake the serum for decades since the second world war," I recall.
"That's why people like you are called in, Captain Ababwa. To make the plans," Natasha explains.
"I'm pretty sure that's S.H.I.E.L.D.'s job, but alright," I laugh softly.
"The only difference is that you have access to the government's records, armories, and even the government itself. The crown. The king. The United Nations as a whole. We could use someone like you in our ranks," Natasha suggests.
"There's no way I'll become an Avenger, Nat. My power isn't even at it's full potential yet, I'm already a military figure, and also I go to school," I say, talking down the offer.
"Banner, Maximoff, Barnes, Rogers, Parker. All of them are Avengers even with similar situations to yours. You think I wanted to come home from Russia just to be another face in this stupid publicity thing that Stark put us up to? Hell no, even he has other things to worry about yet he chose to be an Avenger. Besides, we can train you at the tower, Tony would love your company and so would Steve. Your schedule would fit perfectly with all that you do, and besides, your in your senior year and you'll only be two miles away from the Capitol Gardens where your school is and the Capitol building for your royal duties as Captain," Natasha lists off. "I'll even mention it to the group, and I'm sure they'll agree."
"Fine, mention it to them. But just know that I've got a lot on my plate," I say.
"I know losing Jay was one of the hardest things you could do. But you've got to move on. Besides, I know Arabella seems crazy for even bringing him up to you, but Loki might bring you some luck. You did say things are going well, right?" Natasha asks.
"They're more than well, Nat," I say.
"I know the guy, he'll try to read into you and fool you until you push the right one of his buttons. If you pushed the right one in less than a month, I congratulate you. Getting though to him is as hard as getting a baby to eat, if I'm honest. But the point is, open yourself up to new things, and let old ones move on too. And that goes forever," Natasha advises.
I sigh and keep the information tucked away in the back of my head.
Suddenly, Arabella jolts up again, "I almost forgot! The annual Atlantica ball. That's why you guys are coming."
"Good thing Angel told me to ring a couple gowns before we left," I say.
"Right, the ball! Isn't Elena gonna be playing the event?" Jane asks.
"Elena? Princess of Avalor? My cousin?" I ask.
"Remember, she plays the violin. She has her own quartet," Jordan reminds me.
"It's been a while since I've seen her, I'm glad she's still playing," I say.
Before we know, we arrive in Atlantica and the ship's horn blows, signaling our arrival to the main land.
"Well that was quick," Natasha says.
"I guess we arrived before morning. Get your stuff together ladies," Arabella says, gathering the things she owns from Mal's room.
We all follow in suit, collecting our things and packing for the month in Atlantica. As we exit the ship, I catch a glimpse of two people exiting the ship. Jay and Lizzie hand in hand, laughing and hugging. A part of my heart sinks, mourning me and Jay's lost love. Then I turn to look behind me and see Loki heading towards the exit behind me alongside the Avengers. And the other part of my heart swoons at the sight of him. And then as if it never happened at all, my heart forgets about Jay.

Thievery and Mischief- (a descendants/marvel crossover)
Tumblr media
(SMUT UNDER THE CUT!)
About a week goes by after my first complete conversation with Loki. Since then, I haven’t seen him nor Jay and begin to wonder what kind of thing is happening. But for now, I hang out with my girlfriends.
“So he just talked with you?” Evie asks.
”He said that he’s taken up new duties and is trying to make a connection with another ruler to settle his reputation. He figures I'm his best bet, so I might as well just see how it goes,” I say.
”You better be careful then, they don’t call him a silver-tongue for nothing,” Arabella warns.
”Do you know my exes?” I ask.
”Sure I do, but he’s different,” Arabella says.
”And how would you know?” I ask.
”Cause he’s my cousin,” Arabella says.
The whole room goes silent.
”Cousin?!?” Me and the girls exclaim.
”My grandfather is Triton, who is the son of Poseidon who is Zeus’s brother who is Herkie’s grandpa, remember? And Zeus and Odin are brothers. Poseidon is my great-grandfather, Zeus and Odin are my uncles and Loki and Thor are my cousins along with Herkie,” Arabella explains, detailing her godly lineage.
”Well damn, family reunions must be complicated,” Lonnie says.
”It’s really not, it’s just a bunch of gods and Demi-gods sitting at one table,” Arabella says.
”Is there anything else I should know about him?” I ask.
”Since he’s quite the manipulative man, don’t let him sweep you off your feet at first glance, I suggest you try and pick at him before he tries to get to you first,” Arabella says.
”Too late for that. He already milked part of my brain with his stupid sorcery,” I say rolling my eyes.
”Of course he did. He does that to everyone, the asshole. But still, if he tries to talk about anything that happened in the past, you can shut him out. You’re strong enough to,” Arabella warns.
I nod in agreement.
”In other news, how are you and Jay?” Jane asks.
I gulp at the question.
”I haven’t seen him all week,” I say cautiously.
”What?!?” The girls exclaim in unison louder than last.
”I think he’s been with Lizzie or something. But I’m sure it’s nothing too precautionary,” I say nonchalantly.
”I know Jay. He should’ve done something with you by now,” Mal says cautiously.
”I don’t mind, we’ve spent some time together working and stuff,” I say, reasoning with the situation.
”But that’s work, not a relationship. If you want, we can go check on him,” Jordan offers.
I sigh softly, looking around the room at my trusted friends. They all share some kind of concern for my situations.
”I would appreciate the help. With this whole Loki thing, I’m scared it’s gonna take my time away from being with Jay and having a good vacation with him,” I say in agreement.
”We get it. And don’t worry, we’ll figure it out,” Lonnie says, assuring me.
(POV change)
The girls all search the palace together, leaving Adri alone in her chambers.
”Where could he be?” Lonnie asks.
”Who knows? What if they’re just in the courtyard talking or by the pool or something. I think we should just leave him alone,” Jane says.
”No way, can’t you see how much this can affect their relationship? They haven’t even slept together in the same bed since she went on tour with him,” Arabella disagrees.
”Well that’s concerning,” Mal says.
”Exactly, and if it continues to be that way, they’ll have a disconnect-“ Jordan starts.
”Shh. Wait I hear something,” Evie says, stopping the girls.
Sounds of giggling can be heard from the hall. Voices sounding quite familiar to Jay and Lizzie. As they round the corner, they can’t believe their eyes....
(POV change)
I take a breath.
”Those girls won’t probably find anything too useful,” I say to myself.
I head over to my balcony to catch a breath of fresh air. Below, I spot the Avengers returning from a trip into the city. My eyes immediately focus on Loki, seeing his frame in clear view. As they talk, I watch his face as it contorts to the conversation. The way he furrows his brows, the way his eyes narrow, his cheeky smile. But before I can configure what the conversation is about, his eyes lock on mine.
I immediately turn away and hide, shielding myself from the situation before me.
”Princess Adri, is that you?” Loki calls from below, his voice echoing up.
I stand nervously again, fixing my skirt as I do.
”Um, yes, your highness,” I say nervously.
Loki tells the group he’ll stay behind and Thor gives him a look. I read him and it’s almost as if he’s trying to tell him: “Watch out” or something along the lines of that.
“Waiting for someone?” I ask Loki.
”I just thought I’d catch up with you, your grace,” Loki says.
I smile at his thoughtfulness.
”Should I come down to meet you?” I ask.
”If you see fit, of course,” Loki says a soft smile peeking through.
I laugh and quickly put on my shoes to go downstairs to the gardens.
As I enter, I see him sitting near the fountain, admiring my flowers.
”Such rare things, flowers. Their colors light up the atmosphere so beautifully. Kind of like yourself,” Loki says, then turning to me.
I laugh softly, intrigued by his compliments.
“I planted these myself. They’re my favorite,” I say, sitting beside his and taking one of the flower buds in between my fingers.
”Violets?” Loki asks.
I nod. He smiles softly in response.
”I rather like them, delicate yet wild flowers,” Loki says.
“Also like me,” I say, returning to his previous observation.
Loki laughs from my comment, his smile brightening his expression.
”For a midgardian, you’re quite the amusing thing,” Loki chuckles softly.
”Am I now? Even with terrible trauma?” I ask with a hint of sarcasm.
”Definitely. Not everything is about trauma of the past. Besides, you’ve got humor, you’re quite the influence regarding the fact we’re here in the first place, you’re bright and beautiful, youthful yet mature in all necessary ways. And you’re not as self-centered and selfish as I assumed you’d be,” Loki says honestly.
”You thought I’d be selfish?” I ask.
”I mean that’s how most young royals are. Could care less about duties, reckless, childish. The only attribute I can think of that you’ve got is courtships,” Loki says.
”And what about my courtship?” I ask, raising a brow.
”I mean, it’s common. Regarding the fact you’re to be crowned Sultana, if I’m not mistaken,” Loki says.
I sigh softly.
”You’re not going to say anything about Jay are you?” I ask in a sigh.
”After the last time I mentioned your engagement, I thought it was in best interest that I’d keep him out of conversation seeing how sensitive it is,” Loki says sincerely.
I raise a brow, realizing his change in demeanor.
”You’re acting in my best interest?” I ask.
”I’m still learning, and it’s certainly unlike me, but I care about what you feel. And if it hurts you to have someone question personal affairs, I’ll keep my foot out of it,” Loki says.
I smile, proud of his new discovery. His once selfish and manipulative self, strips to an honest and caring man.
“Okay then,” I say softly.
“Okay,” Loki also says in a low chuckle.
We sit beside each other in silence, searching for something to say. Suddenly, I get an idea.
I move my hand towards his hand , placing my fingers on his skin. He notices and pulls away quickly.
”What’re you doing?” Loki asks quickly.
”I- I’m sorry, I just- I thought-“ I stutter nervously.
Loki grabs my hand once again, examining it with his eyes. Then, he uses the pad of his pointer finger to trace every crease on my hand.
”How do you not shudder away from my touch?” Loki asks in a soft voice.
I furrow my brows in confusion.
”Cause you’re warm,” I say, almost in a question.
Loki, then diverts his eyes to face my own, piercing me with his bright blue eyes.
”No one’s ever been able to touch my hands in a long time. Especially midgardians. With my cold blood, I haven’t really felt human affection since...my mother died,” Loki says solemnly.
”Frigga?” I ask.
”Yes. I considered Frigga my mother and always will. She’s the one who truly loved me at my worst,” Loki says with a smile as he deeply thinks of Frigga.
I adjust my hand onto his, our fingers lining up closely, revealing my hand is a bit smaller than his. He also notices and laughs softly at the difference in size.
”Such a precious little hand for someone who has the strength to keep such a large world on a pedestal,” Loki says cheekily.
”I am not precious,” I say in a huff, looking away with a light blush spread across my cheeks.
Loki picks my chin up, making me look at him again. Slowly I feel his hand clasp around mine, his thumb caressing the back of my palm.
”You’re right. You’re absolutely gorgeous. Even more so, that you are the prettiest flower in this entire garden that you’ve made,” Loki compliments with a smile.
“You’re quite the charmer, Loki,” I laugh softly.
”I’m just stating my point of view, darling. Nothing more,” Loki says with a soft smile. He then takes my hand and places a soft kiss on it. I blush softly at the feeling of his lips on my skin, feeling their softness.
”Your majesty, if you’ll allow me. I’d like to take you for dinner sometime. I rather enjoyed moments like these and would love to do this again...with you,” Loki proposes, asking me out on what I think to be a date.
”Me? Dinner with you? I don’t know what to say-“
”Then say yes, darling,” Loki says before I can finish my thought. I giggle softly and the sweet moment.
”It would be my honor to have dinner with you, your grace,” I say softly. Loki smiles and leans back, pulling his hand away from mine, the once warm connection between us, parting.
”The suns almost down, you should probably get to your chambers, Princess,” Loki suggests.
”You’re right, my prince. But, until we meet again...when did you say?” I ask.
”I’ll send a letter through your guard. But until then, I’ll await for you, darling,” Loki says, bowing before departing. I leave soon after him, my stomach feeling giddy at the thought of him asking me out to dinner. As I head to my room, I hear loud giggling from the hallway near my door.
It sounds like Jay and Lizzie.
”Come on, Jay~ You know you love me,” Lizzie says in a playful manner.
”And what if I do?” Jay asks her in almost a flirty tone.
I take a peek over from where I am standing. I see his arms wrapped around her waist and hers around his neck, as if they were a couple bickering.
”Then I could just kiss you,” Lizzie says cheekily. My eyes widen but I turn away and cover my ears before anything happens.
Instead of going to my room at the risk of being caught, I dart to Jordan’s room.
———————
“She said what?!” Jordan exclaims.
”That she was gonna kiss him,” I say, my leg bouncing nervously.
”And did they?” Mal asks, frustrated with the situation.
”I couldn’t see. I couldn’t bare look at them after way I saw him touching her,” I say, my own temper starting to boil.
”Hey, calm down. We’re trying to make sense of the situation here,” Lonnie assures.
I breathe, my body relaxing slightly.
”Is there anything good that happened today?” Jane asks, trying to calm me.
I stop myself, my brain relaxing as I focus finally on a thought.
Loki.
“I talked to Loki today. He loves my garden. We talked about what we like about each other. He held my hand for a bit. And then I came back here. Nothing too risky at all of course but, it still felt special,” I recall.
”Adri, is he trying to make advances on you?” Arabella asks cautiously.
”Not in that context, no. But he did ask me out on a dinner date,” I say.
”A date?” She exclaims.
”He said he liked our moment in the garden together and wished we could have another moment like that. But I assure you, I have displayed no romantic feelings for him. And even if I had, Jay probably wouldn’t even notice. Since he’s so absorbed in Lizzie to even focus on me the whole time we are here,” I say, the last part bitterly slipping out.
The girls look at each other in deep concern.
”I think you should go on the date then,” Arabella says.
”What? But she’s engaged!” Jordan rebuttals.
”We don’t know that anymore. If Jay is showing since of disloyalty, make him pay for it. If he sees you with Loki, it’ll make him want you back,” Arabella says.
“And if something happens?” I ask.
”Then just know, you’re the victim. Not him,” Arabella says.
I nod in agreement.
”Adri! What if Loki tries something on you? He’s manipulative, remember?” Jordan says, trying to convince me.
”Then, I’ll let him. After all, it’s my choice in the end. And if Jay is showing disloyalty, my option is to play the game he started. And I’d rather take it instead of chasing a man who clearly has another woman in his radar who isn’t me,” I say.
Before Jordan can refute, the door opens. Angel stands by the doorway with a letter in his hands.
”Your majesty, you have a letter from Prince Loki,” Angel says.
I stand and take the letter. The girls and Angel gather around me to read the letter.
”To my dearest princess, after our agreement to meet for our next intimate engagement, I’ve given some thought to when it shall take place. The moon rises, the stars are shining, the ballroom is set and I figure what better way to spend time together than on this very beautiful night. Meet in the ballroom at quarter after 8. I’ve already alerted your guards and servants of your whereabouts. I’ll be waiting, my darling,” I read aloud.
”Darling? Is that what he calls you?” Angel asks, re-reading the words.
”Hey! That’s none of your business,” I say, shoving the paper away from his gaze.
”He has amazing grammar,” Jane says, complimenting it.
”And handwriting, so smooth,” Evie says, taking the paper.
”Hey! Give it!” I say.
”Aww, is little Adri scared we’ll make fun of her little crush?” Jordan teases.
”I just told you, I have no feelings for him and won’t until my problems are resolved!” I refute.
”His words sound a little different though. ‘Dearest’, ‘Intimate’, ‘Engagement’? Adri, this sounds like an actual date,” Lonnie says teasingly.
”And? What difference should it make? Jay goes on his own dates with Lizzie, why can’t I have that with Loki if he did it first?” I ask.
”People might think you’re the one whose disloyal,” Mal says in a warning.
”I’ve told him several times that I am more than loyal to Jay. Sure, the compliments are sweet and all. But I do realize I am going to be married. If Jay decides that he doesn’t want me anymore, that’s his loss. At least I know that in turn, someone else actually does,” I say.
”Are you certain? Certain that Loki isn’t manipulating you?” Arabella asks.
”If he was, I wouldn’t be going on this date, now would I? Now, I have to get dressed,” I say.
“I can help,” Evie says, offering to help me find a dress for the date.
We both walk to my room and into my closet and I move to section D. Eyeing my lucky periwinkle dress.
”Is that something you’re looking to wear?” Evie asks.
”I only wear this on special nights. I wore this to my first award show, my most important gala, my first family dinner when I was finally a teen. I figure I should wear it tonight to give me luck,” I say.
”Are you sure?” Evie asks.
I turn to her, “Certain.”
She nods and helps me accessorize the dress.
(Dress:  pin.it/70BMsPq Jewelry: pin.it/MpImNcH)
I look in the mirror and adjust my dress, my makeup and hair as usual for events. I walk back to Jordan’s room and the girls look at me in awe.
”You look beautiful, Adri,” Lonnie says softly.
“If he doesn’t like this, he’s dumb and blind,” Jordan says sassily.
The girls laugh softly and I smile.
”Careful, Adri. Don’t let him fool you,” Arabella warns.
”Don’t sweat it. If anything, I’ll be the trickster fooling him,” I say with a wink.
Arabella smiles softly.
”You good?” Angel asks.
I nod and he escorts me to the ballroom.
As the guards open the ballroom doors, I see lit candles everywhere, flowers of all sorts, and at the center of it all, a table set for two, one side already filled by my date.
”Good luck,” Angel says, before departing.
I walk in and Loki stands to greet me.
”I'm glad you made it, Princess. I was wondering if you’d get second thoughts,” Loki says, striding towards me.
”I did actually. But I thought it was in best interest to not leave you alone,” I say with a smirk.
He takes my hand, laying a kiss on it, then pulls me closer.
”You look breathtaking, darling. This dress captures your frame excellently,” Loki compliments, his voice smooth and husk.
”Thank you, my prince. You don’t look to awful yourself if I do say so,” I say, examining his body.
You can just barely see the godly physique he hides underneath his white button up, the opening in his shirt stopping right above his chest. Sure, he’s not as muscular as Thor but his figure is like no other.
”Oh dear, distracted already?” He teases, catching me in my act.
”Oh, don’t be so full of yourself, Loki. Besides, I’m not the only one staring,” I say, pulling away from him and moving towards the table.
Loki chuckles softly as he watches me walk towards my seat. With a swish of the hand, green light moves the seat back, inviting me to sit.
”I forget you’re a sorcerer, dear Loki. I wonder what else you can do with your godly powers,” I say.
Behind me, I hear Loki’s footsteps draw near to my seat. His shadow growing closer to me. Soon, his breath is at the nape of my neck and I freeze.
”You see this table? There’s no food on it just yet. But if I desire it...” Loki says, then swishing his wrist to make our food appear out of the green light of his magic. “It appears as I command,” Loki finishes.
I smile softly at his tricks, impressed with his demonstration.
”That's quite efficient, isn’t it?” I ask
“Getting all you desire at the mere thought of it? Of course, a mortal would dream of having that kind of power,” He says, returning to his seat.
“It’s a shame I don’t have those abilities yet. I usually develop more and more as time goes on,” I say.
”I could always teach you,” Loki suggests.
I laugh at the notion.
”You teaching me sorcery? Fairy Godmother would shriek at the thought of letting me use magic at all,” I say.
”Fine. But it does help to some extent,” Loki says.
I grab my fork and start to eat the food in front of me, immediately noticing the distinct taste. I look up at him with wide eyes, in awe of the wonderful taste of the food.
”Loki, this is amazing!” I say happily.
Loki chuckles softly as he watches me start my food.
”I’m glad you like it,” He says, then motivated to reach for his own food.
The rest of our time is spent eating our food, indulging in the wonderful meal that Loki had conjured. We both finish at once, placing our silverware in the same manner.
”I see we share the same opinion on etiquette,” Loki says, noticing our similarity.
”We do,” I laugh softly.
“Do you and Jay have dinners like this often?” Loki asks.
I pause, thinking about it.
”Not really no. I don’t even think I’ve had the time to sit down with someone and converse and eat together like this. Actually, me and Jay never see each other for dinner altogether. I usually work until late and he’s usually at practice or at the gym or with his friends,” I recall.
”That's unfortunate,” Loki says.
”Sure, I get it but, you’d think after being engaged for months he’d take the time to have dinner with me at least once,” I say.
”Are you happy?” Loki asks.
”Having dinner with you?” I ask.
”I mean, you did say you haven’t sat down for dinner in a while,” Loki says.
”Honestly, yes. It does help to unwind in a setting like this and just focus on what’s in front of you instead of keeping to yourself, and it does make me happier,” I say.
Loki smiles softly at my words, taking them into thought.
”And are you happy with me?” Loki asks.
I laugh softly at his question.
”Of course, I’m happy with you. I mean sure it took a bit for us to get adjusted to each other’s behaviors, what to say, what not to say, how to make each other feel comfortable, likes and dislikes, but there’s still a far way to go from here,” I say.
”To go where exactly?” Loki asks.
I pause, “Wherever we want this to go.”
Loki smirks and stands.
”So then tell me, where do you want this to go?” Loki asks, his voice dropping a bit lower.
”Well, I like to say that everything happens for a reason. And I simply would like to leave that up to fate,” I say.
Loki strides towards me, his eyes turning a darker shade of blue, his body language dripping in desire.
He stops in front of me, pining me to my chair, looking me right in the eyes as his tall frame stands over me.
”And what if fate is pulling me closer to you?” Loki asks.
”Then it’s your play,” I say softly.
Loki smirks softly, starting to realize the situation at hand.
“You’re good aren’t you?” Loki asks, pulling away from me.
”You’re more predictable than you think,” I say with a smile.
”Oh, who’d you get that one from, my brother?” Loki asks, mentioning my relation to him.
”Arabella and him told me lots about you. She says you’re manipulative, a silver-tongued trickster. He says that you have no self-control and can easily woo people to give you power. Which explains why every time you try to make a move on me, Thor gives you that same look,” I say, recalling my observations.
”That's because they think I’m trying to ruin your marriage. Thor tells me to butt out of it, that you’re too fragile, Bella agrees. But from what I know about you, you’ve pinned everything I’ve tried. My approach on the deck, the party, our walk in the courtyard, my glances to you, the garden this afternoon, and even now,” He says in detail.
”You must be quite infatuated with me to have done all this talking,” I laugh.
”Infatuated would be an understatement,” Loki says.
”My advisors believe that you might have a crush on me,” I say softly.
”Well, your advisors are right. I like you, and I’m starting to believe that you do too,” Loki admits quickly.
”Not a chance,” I start.
”You’re lying. You’d never show up looking like this if any other man had asked you to dinner, would you?” Loki asks.
”Looking like what?” I say, catching his approach.
Loki smirks again, getting caught in his act once again.
”You’re too clever. You won’t back down will you? All because of some sort of pride you must avenge. Meanwhile, you sit in front of me, entertain my every thought while looking stunning in that gown that any man would want to rip off to ravage what’s underneath and strip your innocence away. You’re playing a trick on me aren’t you? Making me believe that you’re just so willing to give yourself away because you’re just so ignorant,” Loki says.
I laugh at his words, fascinated by his thoughts of me.
”You’ve got me all wrong. I do this because I am interested in you, what you offer and how you manipulate. I have no innocence to be stripped of because I’ve already lost it, what’s underneath this gown is no ones except mine, and I am not ignorant to any of this because yes, I am playing a trick on you. I’m trying to get you to hate me. Hate every part of me because I overpower you, shun you, predict you, so I can be in peace with my life and not have you chasing me,” I correct.
”Then why do I feel the opposite? Knowing that, why do I feel so drawn to you? Knowing you’re following my every move, realizing my every motivation, listening to me sincerely when no one else could give a damn?” Loki asks, his boiling point coming down.
”Because fate brought us here. And now it’s your play. So what’s your move, Odinson?” I say.
Loki puts a hand out for me to take. I look up at him and then back down at this hand, I take it with confidence.
“I have a question, Adri. Do you trust me?” Loki asks in a low voice, using my name.
”Yes,” I say shortly.
Suddenly, Loki fades away before my eyes. I look around I confusion.
Then, I feel a hand snake around my waist and a hand to my throat, pulling me close.
”Then give yourself to me,” Loki says lowly in my ear.
(SMUT AHEAD 🍋)
I feel chills go down my spine at the depth of his voice, the feeling of his eager lips over my skin.
 “I love that when I wrap my hand around your throat, you smile and your pulse quickens as your pupils dilate. Is it because you know how easily your body yields to me?” Loki asks in a deep laugh.
”Screw you,” I spit.
”Oh you will, darling,” Loki says.
”And what makes you think I want this?” I ask.
”You think I still can’t read your thoughts, darling?” Loki says, chilling me.
I freeze completely, nervous as to what he found lurking in my thoughts.
”Such a dirty girl, staring at me and wishing to see what’s underneath all of my clothes. I noticed as soon as I met you that you were just so curious~” Loki whispers in my ear.
My eyes close out of embarrassment, trying to disappear from the situation.
“You think I don’t notice how you melted into my touch, how far you’re willing to go to get through to me and piss me the hell off? You want me desperately, your hungry for it, aching for it, cause it’s been so long since you’ve been touched properly hasn’t it?” Loki suggests.
Out of complete nervousness and instinct, I try to pull away, only to get his grip on me tightened.
”There’s no escape, princess. You told me to make my play, and this is how I’m playing. You either accept it or deny it with consent,” Loki says.
My mind says, no. But my heart and my body say, go for it.
I have to resist. He can’t get away with seducing me and controlling me. But then my mind thinks of Jay. What I saw him do with Lizzie.
And suddenly I have no regrets.
”Please...” I say softly.
”What do you need, darling? Whatever you need, I’m free to give to you,” Loki says smoothly.
”I want you,” I say.
Loki pulls away from me, taking my hand and only my hand.
With a swish of his hand, we are suddenly in my room.
I notice and look up at him.
”I figured the ballroom wasn’t the most intimate place to do this,” Loki says.
He grabs my shoulders and turns me around. His hands trace my skin before he unzips my dress, watching it slip down to the floor, leaving me in only my underwear.
”Such a beautiful body you possess, princess. I feel quite foolish in wanting to ruin such a delicate thing,” Loki says.
Then he places a kiss on my shoulder, making me shudder. He places several kisses along my skin, moving to my neck. I tilt my head back, allowing him access to my skin.
”So obedient, I figured you knew exactly what to do,” Loki says lowly.
This time he nips and sucks at my neck, eagerly trying to taste all of me. Like a man who hasn’t eaten for weeks. I moan softly with every kiss he placed on my skin, my body relaxing against him.
”What do you desire, darling?” Loki asks.
”C-can I touch you?” I ask, stuttering as I speak.
”I’m all yours, princess. Just as you are all mine,” Loki says.
He pulls away, allowing me freedom to do as I wish. And suddenly I get an idea.
”Off. I want everything off,” I say.
”As you wish,” Loki says.
With a swish of his fingers, Loki stands before me completely undressed. I look him up, staring at his defined chest and torso, his physique better than I imagined it to be, and his arms with the right amount of muscle and pulsating veins, and then my eyes finally reach his hard length, quickly pulling away from embarrassment.
I look to the wall and I blush furiously. Suddenly, I feel him grab my wrist and my eyes widen from what I’m feeling.
He wrapped my hand around his member.
”So shy, if you know what you want, then take it,” Loki encourages.
”Its not that simple, y-you’re a god! People praise you and stuff, and I’m just a simple human compared to you, if people find out about us, I’d be disowned, dishonored-“ I start.
”Cad, scoundrel, rogue, demon, they call me this and worse. Yet, here you are. Do you truly know what you are asking? To take me as I am, to play at my side? You may be a simple human, but I chose to give myself to you, and you chose to take me even if I’m as dark as they say I am. So don’t hold back on me,” Loki says.
I hesitate a bit before making any decision. His grip on my wrist stays, but I move close to kiss his lips. He kisses back, our kiss soft and sweet, gentle and thorough. And once I’m comfortable, I move my hand across his length, pleasuring him as we kiss.
As I do, he moans deeply into the kiss, his hips bucking into my palm lightly. One of his hands goes up into my hair, and he slips his tongue into my mouth, deepening our kiss. My other hand moves to press against his chest, feeling his heart beat beneath my palm.
He’s nervous. Just as nervous as I am. But it doesn’t look like it.
Suddenly, we both pull away and just look at each other.
“Are you sure this is okay?” I ask.
”Are you sure?” He asks in the same tone.
We both nod in agreement to each other’s question and we laugh softly.
”So what now?” I ask.
Loki thinks for a second.
”What if we both pleasure each other? To an extent of course,” Loki says.
”Like oral sex?” I ask.
”If you’re up for it,” Loki says.
I smirk softly and get an idea.
”Get on the bed,” I order.
”What?” He says, furrowing his brows.
“I know how we can both pleasure each other, just in a different way,” I say.
Loki gets on the bed hesitantly and I strip from my underwear. He watches as I do, eyes on my body, examining my curves, my marks and scars.
”How’re you so gorgeous?” Loki asks.
”My people believe that the gods created us. So, I’m this way because of you, in a sense,” I say honestly.
”I’m glad I created something as beautiful and delicate like this,” Loki says smoothly.
I giggle softly and move towards him. I reach the top of the bed where his head lies and I sit opposite from his eyes, my heat hovering above his lips. He comes to a realization of what is going on and his hands attach to my ass.
”I see you crave the feeling of my tongue on your heat, hmm? They don’t call me a silver-tongue for nothing, darling, just as much as you want this, I crave your taste tenfold,” Loki says.
”There's something different though,” I say.
“What is it?” Loki asks.
I bend down slowly, taking his length in my hands and licking a stripe up it. I hear him moan beneath me as I do this.
”Oh you clever little girl,” He says huskily.
Suddenly, his tongue is lapping up my heat and shudder and moan at the feeling. Dirty sounds of his licking and sucking filling the air. To distract myself, I place my lips on the tip of his length, then taking half of him in my mouth, bobbing my head.
He moans against me, sending vibrations to my bud.
”Yes, darling. Don’t stop,” Loki groans beneath me.
I only groan in response continuing my work on him, focus on sucking and hollowing out my cheeks as he distracts me with his tongue. He’s better than I imagined. Everything about him is better than I imagined.
(SMUT END)
—————————
The next morning, the sunlight through the curtains wake me, hitting my eyelashes and my golden skin directly. I gain focus, realizing my position in my room. I’m in bed. But it’s not as empty as it’s been the last few weeks.
I look over and discover Loki stirring awake beside me.
”Good morning, darling,” He says groggily to me, his voice deeper than usual from his morning voice.
”Morning,” I say shortly, getting up slowly.
I quickly cover myself with the sheet as I realize I’m completely naked. Loki chuckles lowly.
”Did we-?” I start.
”Not in the way you think, of course. But we did venture south,” Loki jokes, eyeing me.
I huff and he laughs again, sitting up from his place. My jaw aches and I crack my neck, relieving the pain. Suddenly, I feel the bed shift and an arm wrap around my waist. Next I feel soft lips on my shoulder.
”How’re you feeling?” Loki asks.
I freeze in place, suddenly thinking about what occurred last night.
”I should’ve never done this,” I say, cupping my cheek.
”Why not? You enjoyed it,” Loki says.
I get up quickly and face him.
”Loki, I’m engaged! If Jay finds out-“ I start.
”Why are you so hung up on him?” Loki asks.
”What?” I ask, using a bitter tone.
”It’s clear as day that he’s ignoring you for a reason. No man would ever leave a woman for this long by her lonesome especially if another man wanted to pursue her in any manner,” Loki says honestly.
”He’s not ignoring me,” I say in denial.
Even as I say this, I come to a realization that Loki’s words have truth in them.
Why has he left me alone for so long with him?
”You can’t keep lying to yourself, Adri. I can see it’s hurting you. And if what happened last night soothed any sort of pain, I’m willing to continue this if you wish to,” Loki says.
”But it’s disloyal. He’s going to be my husband,” I justify.
”You don’t know that. That’s the problem. Who knows? He could be shoving his tongue down that two toned girl’s throat as we speak and sleeping in her bed instead of here beside you,” Loki explains.
”He would never cheat on me!” I exclaim, frustrated by his words.
”I've met many men in my lifetime, and I can spot the liars real easy. So stop lying to yourself and see the truth,” Loki advises.
Defeated, I sigh softly.
“Are you sure this isn’t part of some plot to win me over from Jay?” I ask.
Loki stands, taking both my hands in his and looking into my eyes.
”If I wanted that, I would’ve already succeeded in getting it. But I don’t, so, I give you choices. You either confront him and bury my suspicions and you never have to talk to me again, or confront him and give me an actual chance. A chance to trust me completely, no distractions. I’ll give you time of course, and we can bargain as such. But what matters is your happiness. And in this life and the next, your happiness always comes first,” Loki proposes.
I nod in agreement and he plants a kiss on my forehead before waving his hand to make his clothes reappear and to walk out the door into the hall.
I sigh, realizing I’m now left alone.
His words hold so much truth that it’s overwhelming to even imagine the thought that Jay, of all people, would ever hurt me. Let alone leave me for another woman after all the trials we went through with my family and with the public press. But still, I should confront him. But what I didn’t know, is that it would be too late.
”Adri, you up yet?” Lonnie asks through the door.
”Y-yes! You can come in,” I say nervously, recollecting myself.
Lonnie enters the room along with Jordan, Arabella, Mal and Evie, all looking nervous and worried.
”Is there something wrong?” I ask.
”You remember when you asked us to check up on Jay?” Evie recalls.
I nod.
”Well...something happened,” Lonnie says.
Before I’m able to react, the door opens again, revealing Angel.
”Princess, there’s a letter for you....it’s from Lizzie Hatter,” Angel says.
I furrow my brows and rush over to receive the letter.
If my nerves hadn’t already been bad, they just got a whole lot worse.
”Dear, Adri. Out of the weeks I’ve spent with your dear fiancé, I’ve noticed some changes in his character. Since his departure from you on the first day of this trip fiasco, he hasn’t mentioned a word about you two being engaged. Actually, he hasn’t mentioned a word about you at all. He’s shown me things I’ve never seen before. Even things I’m not meant to see that aren’t to be called mine...but yours. You see, I rather enjoy his company, but the only thing from stopping me is your marriage. After all these years of my envy towards you, I finally get to call what’s yours, mine. So call this a little 'fair well' on behalf of your man. P.S, you can thank me for rocking his world every night that you couldn’t,” I read to myself, imagining how she’d say it word for word.
I look up from the paper and I freeze in place.
No. It can’t be.
He couldn’t have.
My Jay, couldn’t have cheated.
With her.
I sigh, realizing that Loki’s words where completely true. I was so blind to see that he was slipping away when I least expected it.
”Adri, what does it say?” Jordan asks.
”H-he. He cheated on me,” I choke out.
The room goes silent. Around me, everyone’s faces form into surprise, disgust, sadness.
”She admitted to it. Admitted to it right before we could say anything,” Arabella recalls.
”We all saw it. She pinned him down to her bed and they went at it the night we found them together,” Lonnie says, frustrated.
”That's what you were going to tell me?” I ask, trying to remain calm.
They all nod.
”Angel, I need you to do something for me,” I say with a breath.
”Of course, anything,” Angel bows.
”Write an invitation to Jay, detailing that I would like to speak to him later tonight at dinner,” I say.
”Adri, no! You’re gonna talk to that son of a bitch after he did that shit to you? No way,” Jordan refutes.
”Let her do it. That’s the only way she’ll get a true confession from him. If she doesn’t talk to him, nothing will be any better than if they move on anyways,” Mal says, agreeing with my action.
“Thank you, Mal,” I say softly.
”He’s my best friend but you’re his fiancé. The woman he pledged loyalty to, the woman he decided to marry and have a future with. There’s no way that he’s gonna get away with something like this. You’re too important. You always came first in everyone’s book, you’re the crown, you’re the one who chose him out of all princes, the one who even if she slips up and someone else pursues her, will always be loyal to him by the heart,” Mal says.
I nod, understanding her words.
”Screw him. Get your justice,” Mal says in short.
—————————
Later that night, Angel escorts me to the veranda outside, where I see a glimpse of Jay sitting cross-legged in his seat.
”I’ll be by the hall if you need anything,” Angel says to me.
I nod to him. I clutch the envelope in my hands and fix my black gown before walking towards the table.
”Still beautiful as usual, my love,” Jay says, recognizing me and standing.
He places a kiss on my cheek and I freeze.
”Sit,” I say shortly.
”Is something wrong? I mean, it has been a while since we’ve see each other. I figured this would be a romantic dinner. Maybe catch up on what we’ve missed,” Jay suggests.
I sit in my seat carefully.
“Sure. You can start,” I say.
Jay takes a breath, thinking long and hard.
“Well, I did hang out with the boys for some time. They met Lizzie, and talked to her. Then I did some horse riding on the sands, found some caves. I trained in fencing. I went out to the plaza with Lizzie a few times. Showed her around and stuff,” Jay explains.
”Fun,” I say shortly.
”And you?” Jay asks, sitting up in his seat.
I suddenly feel Jay’s leg brush against mine and I tsk, seeing where he’s going with his actions.
”Well. I’ve been sleeping with the girls since you’ve been quite absent. I've taken the habit of speaking to the Avengers about their recent missions and such. Enjoying my garden,” I say with a bitter tone.
”You look stressed. And also, why are you dressed like you’re going to a damn funeral?” Jay asks.
I laugh softly under my breath.
”I discovered something quite fascinating today,” I start.
I hold up the envelope and his brows furrow.
”It's a letter, from your mistress,” I say, throwing it across the table to him.
”Mistress?” Jay asks, in a confused tone.
I sit in silence as he picks up the envelope, unwrapping it and reading it. As he does, I watch his expression change drastically, from his cocky smile to a horrified look.
”Babe...”
”Don’t play that card with me, Jay,” I spit.
Jay looks up at me with pain in his eyes.
”Adri, please don’t do this,” Jay pleads almost immediately.
”You liar. You lied to me. You said you’d never hurt me ever, and look what you did. You pledged your loyalty to me, only to break it,” I say in disgust.
”I didn’t think it would get this far!” Jay says, his voice cracking.
”You didn’t think?! You didn’t think to even realize that you’re engaged to me? You didn’t wonder how I was for a single second. You didn’t think to check on me at the party after you left me to go to talk to her? You didn’t think I saw you two drinking together and laughing and having fun. You didn’t think I would find out by your best friends that you slept with her?!” I exclaim.
”What? They saw?” Jay asks, nervous.
”So it’s true, huh? You did sleep with her. You did cheat on me with that selfish bitch. You hurt me! And I was so blind to ever think a man like you would ever be as loyal as I was to you!” I say.
”Adri, I’m so sorry,” He says, tearing up.
”You know what? Maybe it was a good thing. Maybe it was a good thing that this happened. Because maybe, I’ve realized that after months of being alone. Working and fighting to come home and have time with you, that you really didn’t deserve that. That maybe, this fantasy that you could ever possibly be with me and have a future with me, is all just some stupid teenage fantasy. And maybe, you’re the thing that’s holding me back from doing all that I’ve ever wanted. Because everything I do has always been influenced by you. The tour dates, scheduling, when I take breaks, when I spend time out of work, when I finish projects, when I go to do interviews, when I come home, it’s all you! And you know what? I’m done. I’m done with spending my nights alone because suddenly you want to do things on your own. I’m done with believing that you want to spend time with me. I’m done believing you’re the only man who will ever love me. Because guess what? Maybe I’ll find someone. Maybe I find someone who actually lets me take my time in what I choose to do. Who respects my time, who despite my faults takes time for me when I take time for them, who actually sits down and listens and takes account into what I think and acts out of their self interest. What if I did all this, thinking in every moment that I could never have a relationship with this person because I was with you. And breaking your heart was the last thing I ever wanted to do. I held back because I still loved you. But I’m not gonna do that anymore, now that I've realized what kind of man you are. A thief. A liar. A cheater. You stole my heart, Jay. You really did. But unlike all of the things you’ve stolen, this one breaks in your hands. And you didn’t even think for a second about it!” I exclaim, tears streaming quickly down my face as I recite this.
Now he’s crying too. Shame and pain written all over his face. His tears, the ink that stains his face, pale as paper. He hides his face in his hands, not daring to even look me in the eyes.
”I didn’t know. I didn’t know that I was tying you down. I thought you were fine, acting on what you thought was best for you. I was such an idiot for ever getting involved with her. I didn’t think at all when she first flirted with me, that it was even flirting at all. I was just so lonely and tired. Tired of not having you around anymore. And she was there, and I thought she could help me as a friend, but things went south before I knew,” Jay says through sobs.
As I watch him cry, I feel pain in my heart. But not for him. For Lizzie, because this poor girl had to watch me develop some sort of relationship while she had no one. This was my loss. This was me being a terrible friend over the years. And yes, maybe I did have to pay for it in the end, but I never thought it would ever be with him.
“You’re a fool,” I say through tears.
”I know. I know I am. And I know there’s no excuse for this,” Jay sobs.
”You had a choice, Jay. I also had one. Just know that in the end, I chose you. And you should be ashamed that you didn’t do the same,” I say, wiping my tears and sniffling.
I turn to look at the hallway. Noticing that we aren’t alone.
Everyone’s watching this happen. My family. Our friends. Everyone from the balconies, the courtyard. Even the servants are watching us fight and cry.
Overwhelmed, I start to sob. The pain of these events washing over me. Suddenly, I feel my body give out and I slide to the floor, on my knees.
I feel the ground move as people rush to my side.
”Adri, are you okay?” I hear, a voice I recognize to be my brother’s.
I nod my head no and he picks me up from the floor. From the corner of my eye, I watch as Mal slaps Jay across his tear streaked face, then yelling at him.
 “Do you know how fucking much she’s sacrificed to be with you?! Her reputation, her status, her friends, her family! And then you go behind her back and cheat on her just like everyone else she’s ever been with?! Do you know how much of an idiot you are?!” Mal yells at him.
”I didn’t know,” Jay cries.
”Mal, that’s enough. You’re not helping the situation,” Carlos says.
Mal huffs and backs away from Jay.
I see Lonnie come to my side, taking both my hands and soothing me.
”It’s okay. You said everything perfectly. You did what you had to do,” Lonnie says, cooing me.
I focus on the warmth of her touch and my sobs die down. Aziz wipes my tears from my face as they continue down.
From the corner of my eye, I catch a glimpse of the rest of the audience. The Royal families all speaking in whispers, faces filled in disgust and some with tears.
My eyes catch someone in particular.
Loki.
He stands there along side his brother with a sad look on his face, feeling sorrow for me.
Almost as in perfect time, I hear a deep voice whispering, “it’s okay”, sounding like Loki exactly. He’s speaking to me in which I can only hear.
My tears slow and I grow calm at the sound of his voice.
“Let’s go, please,” I manage to choke out.
Aziz and Lonnie hold my hands as they take me into the palace. I look behind me and watch as my parents speak to him, disgusted by his actions. I catch a bit of their dialogue, they tell him to stay away from me and that if he has anymore ill intentions on me, that there will be consequences.
All this, because I failed to see the truth. And just when things added up, I crashed and burned. Loki was right in every way. I needed to see the truth.

On My Block S4
(SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT!)
This is an analysis and review strictly on the Core 4!
How would i rate this final season? Probably a 7.5/10.
The first couple of episodes is rocky at first but it gets better! I’m gonna do this character by character.
Jamal: Jamal has an odd start in this season. It was unusual to see Jamal presented in almost this “bro” kind of character, but it in fact almost worked in a way that favored his character development. Especially the scene where he realizes he needs to apologize to Ruby and seeks help from Abuelita. His interactions with Abuelita were some of the best and cheesiest interactions I’ve seen and I really loved the message that was brought through him and her of “finding purpose” (even if the whole CEO tech job ending wasn’t the best).
Ruby: Ruby this season was conflicted in regards to his character development, but in a way it also worked in favor of him too. The most impactful scenes with Ruby, by far, were with Abuelita and Latrell. With Abuelita, us as an audience got to see how Abuelita and Ruby bonded and the lessons Abuelita wanted him to be taught before she could let go and pass on. (RIP Abuelita).
Monse: I honestly loved all the interaction she had with Jasmine, this allowed us to go further into who she is when she isn’t with the other guys of the show (not to say they are all bad). Also, the reoccurring conflict with her family, and figuring out her truth was impactful to me. I really and honestly wish she had stayed that independent strong figure until the end and not slept with Cesar. I honestly think after all that was said and done that they just should’ve moved on.
Cesar: Ahh yes, our broken child. Cesar’s start in this season was what made the first episodes rocky. But it completely reflects his personality also. Despite the huge backlash over Diego’s much deeper and hard headed voice, I feel like that also fit because once we as an audience saw all the pain he went through after losing Oscar and regretting not listening to him and not realizing all the sacrifice his brother made for him to survive, he finally stripped that away. And we as viewers got to see that vulnerability after so long. This is a kid who had lost his parents, his brother, and even an ex-girlfriend due to the life that he claimed loyalty to simply because he grew up in it. And after all this, his vow to continue on and carry with him the things he learned, specifically from Oscar, makes his ending very impactful. The only thing from Cesar I didn’t like that I wish the show-runners had developed further was Vero. His interactions with Vero seemed questionable and didn’t have very much context compared to the flashbacks that helped guide some other parts of his storyline.
There are sooo many amazing parts to On My Block but also some equally bad ones, which is why I have rated it as such. Please remember all my opinions are my own and you don’t exactly have to agree with me. Also why am I posting this? Idk. I was bored and wanted to express my thoughts on these characters! Also might start writing for them.

Thievery and Mischief- (a descendants/marvel crossover)
Tumblr media
After months of exams, training troops, going to award shows, and writing songs, summer arrives quicker than anticipated.
“The annual kingdom cruise?” Jay asks.
”A tradition to celebrate the founding of The United States of Auradon. This is the 18th year they’ve done this trip, but for the last couple of years, I haven’t gone, since the incident,” I recall.
”Sounds fun,” Evie says.
”Good thing is the itinerary allows for us royals to host in our own kingdom. First is Agrabah, where Adri’s family will help us indulge in the bright sights and sounds of the Festival of Color, next to where I help you escape to the beautiful beaches of Atlantica, and then we head to New Orleans, where the Twins’ll show us around the French city and then we’ll cap off in the Avengers compound for a modern look on our city,” Arabella explains.
”Avengers compound? Oh god, they better not be on this trip,” I groan.
”Too late for that one,” Ben says.
I look ahead and see the Avengers already at the pier, with an extra set of people with them.
Then suddenly, Tony turns around and spots me.
“That’s my cue to depart,” I sigh.
I walk towards the group of heroes and Tony envelopes me in a hug.
”Ahh yes, my favorite kid. I missed the hell out of you. How’s school?” Tony asks.
”Shit as always,” I say rolling my eyes.
”Favorite kid? Come on, Mr. Stark,” Peter says behind him.
”Spidey boy surprised your Aunt gave you permission to come on this trip,” I laugh, patting his head.
”Mr. Stark did all the convincing after homecoming. He said ‘I deserved a break’,” Peter says.
”Y’know I still can’t believe you're younger than me,” I say.
”Only by a year,” He mutters.
Next, I see a face I almost didn’t recognize. A bearded Steve Rogers.
”I see the band is back together again,” I say.
”After phone calls and arguing, yes,” Steve says, pulling me into a hug.
”How’s the new position, Captain?” Steve says using my title.
”A hassle but I already have my lieutenants in place. Bucky has been a huge help,” I say.
”I’m glad. And how’s the princess?” Steve asks about my other title.
”Same person, Steve. I go to school, I work, I train, But in all cases. I’m fine,” I say.
”Glad to see you’re good,” Natasha says next to Steve.
”Nat! Oh my gosh, I thought you were in Russia,” I say, hugging her.
”Nah, I did my mission, saw my family, and came back,” Nat says.
”Why couldn’t Vision come?” The new girl behind Steve asks.
”He’s a robot sweetheart, water’ll make him malfunction,” Nat says to her.
”Ah, this is Wanda. Our newest addition,” Steve says.
”Nice to meet you, love the Sokovian accent, so pretty,” I say.
”Thank you,” She says with a faint smile.
Suddenly, I’m engulfed into a very tight back hug, taking the air out of me.
”Thor get off of me!” I say, trying to pull him off.
”Princess Adri, how I missed you!” Thor says with his big voice.
He puts me down and I turn to face him.
”Wow, you look like Midgardian for sure now,” I say, talking about his outfit.
”Well, I had some luck,” Thor says.
”How’s Jane?” I ask.
”We- um. Split,” Thor says.
”You see I knew she was a bitch. Always running around dating other guys,” I say distastefully.
”Really?” Thor asks.
”Um duh, last time I saw you she was out with some Eric guy,” I say.
Thor’s eyes grow soft as he grows sad.
”But you don’t need her, you’re a god, and plus you’ll find some pretty woman in Asgard. The rest of us Midgardian women are too ugly for your kind of standard,” I say.
”Speaking women, how do you know so many, brother?” Another voice says from behind Thor, one that I recognize.
“Ahh, yes. This is my brother, Loki, you’ll find he’s a little scoundrel,” Thor says, patting hun on the back.
”Loki? The one who tore up the city back in 2012? Same Loki that Bucky said would give Tony a heart attack if he came back?” I ask.
”Me and Reindeer Games are cool,” Tony says.
I turn back to the man in front of me. Pale skin, icy blue eyes, dark smoky black hair, a strong and angled jawline with a slightly muscled frame, masked by an all-black suit.
”I take it that you’ve heard of me before,” Loki assumes, speaking in a cool tone, his voice polite yet sultry.
”I have. Princess Adri of Agrabah, sworn to the national crown by order of Captain and commander of the Arabian guard,” I say, bowing.
”Captain and Princess? You’re quite the interesting specimen for such a young woman,” Loki compliments.
”You should know I’m engaged, my prince, such flattery won’t extinguish my loyalty,” I smirk, sensing a hint of flirtatious action.
Thor coughs beside him, breaking the tension.
”Of course, Prince Loki of Asgard and the Jotunheim,” He introduces and also bows, taking my hand, placing a kiss on it as a sign of respect.
”We should probably get boarding, everyone else is starting to go in,” Nat advises.
”I should probably head back to the King and sort out security, I’ll catch up later once we get to Agrabah,” I say.
I wave goodbye to the group and head to the ship to give orders.
————————
We all group up in the ship’s great hall where we get a greeting from Ben.
“Your jaw hurt yet?” Jay asks me.
”It’ll hurt more once we get to Agrabah,” I say in a sigh.
Suddenly, a girl walks up behind Jay. Jay recognizes her and gives her a hug.
”Lizzie, what’re you doing here?” Jay asks.
”I was invited, of course, I just came back from a trip from the Isle so I decided to try another adventure,” Lizzie says.
“Wait, Lizzie?” I ask recognizing her. Her smile grows wider.
”Adri! Oh my gosh, it’s been so long!” Lizzie says hugging me next.
”Wait, you know Adri?” Jay asks.
”Of course I do! She’s the one who used to sneak me onto the Isle,” Lizzie says.
Jay’s smile drops.
”What?” He asks.
I freeze in place. So uh remember in the prologue when I said I ran away? I ran away to the Isle...
”You remember when I told you about my depressive episodes and what not?” I ask.
He nods.
”I used to sneak out to the Isle with her and Kasey would take us, and I would hang around there,” I say.
”You remember when you posed as my sister Maggie? And then fell for that handsome Hook boy?” Lizzie recalls.
Jay’s eyes widen.
”Harry? The son of bitch, Harry Hook?” Jay asks.
I go flat-lipped, embarrassed.
”Maybe-“
”Adri, why didn’t you tell me? You could’ve just said it,” Jay says.
Suddenly, I get emotional and overwhelmed by the situation.
”Cause it was the first time I broke someone’s heart. It was the summer and I had to leave before my parents came looking for me. Lizzie is here because her dad is the Mad Hatter and her mom is the Queen of Hearts. I was the first one she told. That year we both had major breakups, he kept telling me about some girl-“ I start.
”Mal. He had broken up with Mal. I was there when we saw you together. I knew you but never talked to you,” Jay says, coming to a realization.
”I know you think I’m cruel and terrible for hurting Mal back then with what I did. But I just didn’t want that pain I felt from breaking away from that after causing so much harm to sink in again,” I say, a couple of tears slipping down to my cheeks as I recall the memories.
Jay pulls me in for a hug, patting my back gently.
”It’s okay, I get it. What happened in the past stays there. But please, just be honest with me, okay? Cause I love you,” Jay says.
I nod and he wipes my tears from my eyes.
“I’ll leave you two to catch up, I’m sorry for holding you two up,” I said, sniffling.
”Alright, see you later, Adri,” Lizzie says before I go.
I wipe my stray tears and head towards the deck to get a breath of air.
I take a deep breath and feel the cool Auradonian breeze blow through my hair. I messed up by lying to him.
”Princess?” A familiar voice says behind me.
I turn and see the mysterious Loki standing behind me.
”What do you need, Odinson?” I ask, wiping my tears quickly, my voice quivering slightly.
“Forgive me if I’m mistaken but- are you crying, dear princess?” Loki asks politely.
“No,” I lie.
Loki chuckles beneath his breath.
”Sorry to intrude, darling, I’m the god of tricks and lies, you can’t slip that one past me,” Loki says honestly.
”Curse you,” I spit, then returning to crying.
”Hey, it’s alright now. Breathe,” Loki says, coming to my side.
As I cry, I feel his body regulate to a cool temperature, making me relax.
”H-how did you?” I sniffle.
”I’m a frost giant, darling. It’s in my blood,” Loki says.
I laugh at the nickname he gave me.
”In other terms, I was hoping, rather, waiting for the moment to catch you on your own without my brother sulking. I never got to have a moment with you to myself,” Loki says.
”As if I’m that appealing to the eye,” I say rolling my eyes.
”I’d much rather think the contrary. You are appealing, desirable, and look like an intelligent woman. So, I thought I’d get to know you, maybe as a friend of sorts,” Loki suggests.
“I’d like that,” I say with a smile.
”I’ll leave you be now, and whatever you’re going through, it’s alright. No need to further question anything at all nor tell anyone, it’ll pass,” He advises before departing.
———————
As I head towards our shared room to sleep for a bit, I notice that Jay’s luggage is missing. Odd. He should be here by now.
I brush off the thought and I make myself comfortable in my room, drifting away to sleep. I dream in those solemn two hours.
I see Jay, underneath red lights, dancing with another woman who appears to have Lizzie’s hair, but I never quite see her face. Everyone in the room, I can just barely recognize. My brother, Lonnie, Nat, Tony, Bella, Mal, Ben, all dancing together. I stand in the center of the dance floor, alone.
”May I have this dance, Princess?” A voice calls to me.
But before I can observe the person offering their hand to me, I awaken from my dream. The horn of the ship blows, signaling our arrival into Agrabah.
—————————
“Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Agrabah! Your home for the next four weeks, as the crown princess of the state, I am delighted to host the first stop in our 4 month-long trip around the US, discovering and exploring new sights and sounds of our beloved country,” I introduce to the group of people before me.
First, I escort them through our iconic bazaar.
”Here you’ll find spice markets, jewelry, carpentry, witch work, blacksmiths, and grocery all-alike. Even as royals, we are proud to be among our people, not only as rulers but as Arabian people. We take great pride in our bazaar, seeing as it was the place where magic truly does happen. And on the day of the Festival of color, you’ll see the true magic of the Arabian people,” I detail as we pass through the bazaar, people waving hello or bowing as we pass.
Then I escort them through the plaza.
”This plaza was first created to celebrate the ancient rulers of Agrabah during times of fallen soldiers. Now the plaza commemorates a different theme, unity. The unification of not our country but our state that was once divided class and standard, defying the belief that a nobleman could never marry a Sultana. Here is where we will gather for our festival, and if the gods allow us, we will rejoice in the celebration of our unity,” I say as everyone looks around.
”We have no protests, right brother?” Thor says cheekily, referring to the last line.
”Of course not, this place is truly beautiful,” He says, his gaze shifting from the sandstone buildings to me.
As if the Arabian heat hadn’t made me sweat enough, somehow his eyes on mine surely did the trick, making my cheeks blush.
”How much farther until the palace?” Audrey says, hauling along with her fan by her face.
I stop in front of the gates of the palace, the guards stand at attention.
”At ease men. The bird has landed to its nest,” I say, the keywords for getting past the guard.
The guards open the iron gates to the palace and the awws and oohs of the group are echoed as we gaze into the courtyard of the palace.
”And here is where you’ll be staying. With a beautiful courtyard as its main entrance, you’ll find beautiful trees with decadent fruits, flowers of all exotic types, fountains made of the purest stone, and of course, our lovely home,” I say, taking them through the courtyard.
”Marveling at 240 feet, it is one of the largest buildings in the world even as the second model of our iconic palace. Here you’ll find 285 different rooms, ones in which you shall stay in. Inside, contains a much smaller plaza with a beautiful fountain and violet flowers planted by myself. Inside also contains two large ballrooms and a dining room with an array of meal courses, native to our state. We also have our outdoor courtyard with a lovely green for playing badminton, croquet, and such. And a lovely pool to dip your toes in on a beautiful day like this,” I detail as we enter the palace.
All the staff lined together by the entrance signaling our arrival.
“These are our lovely palace staff, led by my chambermaid, Kasey. They will be escorting you to your rooms and accommodating you as needed. In your rooms, you will also find an itinerary where all meals, free times, and group meetings are listed. For today, please feel free to enjoy Agrabah as the beautiful kingdom it is and have fun,” I say finally.
The group applauds and people are escorted to their rooms.
”That was a phenomenal tour, Adri. You did amazing!” Ben says, holding my shoulders.
”I thought I would choke back there,” I say taking a big breath.
”Party in ballroom two...What’s this for?” Arabella asks cheekily.
”I thought I should host a traditional welcome party for you all. Since that’s what my grandfather did for my dad when he first came to the palace. It’s only to mingle and dance and have some fun,” I say honestly.
”And is everyone invited?” Tony asks, wrapping his arm around my shoulder as he slides into the conversation.
”Alright playboy genius philanthropist man, we get it, you like parties,” I say rolling my eyes.
”Damn right I do. So uh, are you kids old enough to drink yet?” Tony says.
”Tony, they are all 17,” Nat says, standing next to him.
“We are in college,” Aziz and his friends say at once.
”Well then, you don’t have to tell your parents shit. I’ll be your cover-up,” Tony winks at us.
”Really, what are you? Some party uncle?” Nat asks.
”Party you say? Arabian parties are surely the greatest entertainment,” Thor says with a smile.
”Of course you’d say that, you invite yourself to every single one,” I say cheekily.
”What can I say? No one does parties as your family does,” Thor says in a low chuckle.
”I haven’t been to a party in years,” Loki says, rolling his eyes.
”Then surely, I’ll make sure this one is the best you’ve ever been to,” I say, directing my attention to Loki.
”I hope so, your majesty,” Loki says.
The Avengers all depart and I return to conversing with my friends. But I notice one odd detail.
”Guys, where’s Jay and Lizzie?” I ask.
”Jay said something about showing her around the city, if anything they’re probably just in the bazaar,” Evie says.
I sigh in relief and return to my stations.
———————
Before I can put on my necklace, Angel enters the room.
”Princess, I was sent by the guard as your personal bodyguard. I’m here to inform you that the Sultana requests you to the ballroom,” Angel says with a bowed head.
”At ease, Lieutenant. You don’t have to act so proper,” I laugh.
”Thanks, Adri,” Angel says with a sigh.
Angel escorts me to the ballroom, I fix my crown before coming down the imperial stairs, my red dress with gold embroidery swishes as I take step by step.
They say that at the top of the staircase, you can see the room as a whole. Wise words were spoken truthfully.
I pinpoint the room. The Avengers were deep in conversation and a quite distracted Loki was nervously wringing his hands. My friends, staring up at me. Lizzie and Jay, fresh in their cocktail-wear laughing and giggling like old friends. My parents making their way towards the courtyard along with other royals who separate from our group.
I reach the bottom and come back to reality.
”Glad the lot of you decided to show, I thought all my planning would go to waste,” I say with a smile.
”Hell no! Your parties are always awesome, Adri. Wouldn’t miss it for the world,” Arabella says playfully.
I wink in her direction and I open the doors of the ballroom. The entire group walks into the discotech-like room and wows.
Feeling the music, the party comes alive and the room shapes itself into a room of light.
I stand by the wall, drinking in the scenery. Until my dear fiancé joins my side.
“When did you plan all of this?” Jay asks.
”Jane had some free time and helped me out. After recording sessions, we’d go out for coffee and plan,” I say with a breath.
”You’re always surprising everyone, you know that?” He chuckles.
I smile softly.
”How was your tour with Lizzie?” I ask.
He takes a breath, tension filling his body.
”She’s a firecracker. Same Lizzie I remember,” Jay says.
We sit in silence for a minute, awkwardness filling the air.
”You want a drink?” Jay asks suddenly.
”Of course I do,” I laugh.
Jay departs from my side and I take a breath.
I start to realize that me and Jay haven’t spoken since we first met up on the ship.
Before my eyes can search for him, someone else enters my peripheral vision.
”For someone who's engaged, I’m surprised to find your highness by yourself,” Loki says, striding towards me.
“Prince Loki, I’m starting to believe that you're stalking me,” I say under my breath.
Loki laughs under his breath. Underneath the red lights of the room, his piercing ice-blue eyes are still shining against the hues.
“I’m not trying to come off that way. I understand why you’d want to keep your guard up. You’re a courted woman, a princess, and a soldier of sorts nonetheless,” Loki says reading me.
”What do you know about my life?” I scoff.
Suddenly, Loki’s smirk drops. I’m confused by his sudden change in demeanor.
”You don’t have to go into detail about it just yet. That was awfully disrespectful of me, your grace. I’m sorry,” Loki says apologetically.
”I-I should be the one who's sorry, I gave you a snarky response,” I say.
“In other circumstances, the reason for my constant linger is that I’m simply intrigued by you. How you’ve managed to gain the loyalty of so many and maintain such a good relationship with people,” Loki says.
”Hard work, etiquette, being smart with your decisions, making promises that you’ll keep, and talking to the right people,” I say in a sigh, listing off attributes.
”Does being simply gorgeous fit that bill too?” Loki asks cheekily.
”My Prince, are you flirting with me?” I ask cheekily.
”Just admiring your beauty, Princess,” Loki says smoothly.
”And will a dance satisfy your lingering eyes, your majesty?” I ask.
Loki extends a hand for me to take it, “It would be an honor.”
I take it and he escorts me to the dance floor.
The song changes to a traditional salsa song, the beat of the music copying onto the group dancing around us.
Loki leads immediately, guiding me through the dance.
”For an Asgardian, you sure do know how to dance like a Midgardian man,” I compliment.
”I’m a god, darling. The trickster god nonetheless, what less is to expect?” Loki says, using his common nickname for me again.
”You know, no one has ever called me that,” I comment.
Suddenly, Loki stands behind me, towering over me with his frame. I realize his shadow is much larger than Jay’s by some height. But as he said for himself, he’s a god. There’s no comparison.
As he stands behind me, I feel his hands move to my hips guiding them as they sway to the music. Then he quickly turns me around, our faces only centimeters apart, his eyes staring into mine.
”I rather like the thought of that,” He says smoothly.
My eyes linger away from his gaze shyly. He’s trying to pursue me, and it’s starting to work.
”I’m a loyal woman, Odinson. Don’t get selfish now,” I say honestly, trying to catch him in his act.
”I don’t doubt that for a second. But can you really believe that your supposed ‘lover’ is as loyal?” Loki says in the same tone as me.
I raise a brow and pull away from him.
”You don’t know anything about him,” I spit.
”Surely I don’t. But what I do know is that he isn’t by your side dancing with you right now, since he seems rather occupied with that two-tone girl by the bar,” He says in a sarcastic tone.
I look behind us and see the exact image of what he describes. Lizzie and Jay laughing up a storm over drinks. After he told me he’d be back.
”It's not what you think. They’re just friends,” I say to Loki.
”Princess. Be wise now. A woman suddenly shows up and aims sights on your man and spends the entire night with her and no one else. That seems rather odd, is it not?” Loki asks.
”Is that not exactly what you’re doing to me?” I ask, giving him a counter.
”I’m extending a branch, Princess. I just happen to know your an upcoming powerful leader in Midgard and only wanted to make myself well-acquainted,” Loki says, honesty in his voice.
I try to see if in his body language if there’s a lie.
”You won’t find anything, Princess. I’m rather the difficult one to pinpoint,” He says suddenly, catching me in my act.
”I- but- how?” I ask, completely confused.
”My mother trained me in magic. I’m a sorcerer of sorts,” Loki explains briefly.
I take a breath.
”So what now?” I ask.
”There's one more thing. I’ve taken into account that you are engaged. But is a man of his account worthy of marriage?” Loki asks.
”You question my judgment now?” I ask.
”Of course not. But after months of controversies, scandals, women entering and exiting his life, there’s a pattern, don’t you think?” He asks.
”How do you know that?” I ask.
”Mainly Thor, but also it’s in your peripheral memory. Several princesses have done this in the past. Once it was for a joke, the other was more serious than that. You're terrified to lose him,” Loki says, almost reading my thoughts.
“You don’t know what I’ve been through,” I say through my teeth.
”Actually I do. But it’s rather manipulative of me to use it to pick your thoughts now isn’t it?” Loki says, starting to gain awareness of what I think of his plan.
I sigh.
”What else do you want from me?” I ask.
”Trust. If I’m going to have proper duties as a full Asgardian Prince, I need allies. My goal is to unconditionally gain someone who can help Asgard. That someone I believe is your grace,” Loki says.
I digest his words, searching for a lie one last time. But he seems sincere. Sincere about getting to know me. Almost like he knows I’m trying to hide away from him.
”Fine. You have the rest of the month to gain my trust. If I dismiss you, we only speak mutually as acquaintances. Otherwise, we stick together. Help each other out in whatever we need,” I say, making a deal with him.
”If those are the terms, you have my word, Princess,” Loki says.
We both smile softly at each other in agreement.
The rest of the night he and I walk along the veranda, looking up at the stars and examining the city before us.
”Have you ever wondered what lies in the next star to the right?” Loki asks, pointing to the two largest stars in the sky.
”Neverland?” I ask.
”Neverland is near Atlantica. That is where Asgard is,” Loki says.
 I scoff in disbelief.
“There’s no way that’s Asgard,” I say.
”Of course you’d say that. You’re Midgardian,” He says with a smirk.
”I- then prove it,” I say.
”I’ll take you there then...if I gain your trust of course,” Loki says, adding that to the requirement.
”Just for a visual...what does Asgard look like?” I ask.
Loki laughs softly.
”The palace is made of the rarest gold. There are statues of stone from our ancestors. A land of rich soil and luxury. Similar to Mount Olympus through family relations (as we are gods). But more creatures and magic lie at the root of our kingdom. Something that is quite restricted here and on Mount Olympus. With so much power, why not use it to some extent?” He describes, questioning his own words.
”To protect the integrity of our people. Magic was known in the dark ages of Auradon as a force that was uncontrollable, even more, powerful than ourselves. So to not lose control of our people and ourselves, we safe-kept it,” I explain.
Loki looks to me as I speak, genuinely intrigued.
”But that’s changing, right? The Midgardian magic users are joining the union soon enough, the Avengers are the earth’s ‘mightiest heroes’ and they use some sort of powers. Auradon is becoming rather progressive,” Loki says.
”Better for me,” I say softly.
”How come?” Loki asks out of curiosity.
I stay silent, nervous to tell him about my powers.
”You too? I thought I was the only one hiding them,” Loki says, reading my mind again.
”What? Did you just read my mind again?” I ask.
”I wasn’t born Asgardian. I’m of the Joutenheim frost giants. I was adopted by Odin as a newborn when he killed my father,” Loki says.
I go flat-lipped hearing about his childhood.
”I was born to be an heir to the throne. But was shunned by Odin. Frigga. on the other hand welcomed me with open arms. She grew up with witches and taught me ancient magic. Through that, I bonded with her. But then I craved more power, so I went outside of Asgard to pursue it. Along the way, I met a woman, had a terrible experience, then I tried conquering this place, failed, got locked up for it in Asgard, and rotted in my cell until I got revenge for my mother’s death that was caused by enemies to the crown. After that, I faked my own death and exiled Odin for two years, and ruled as his imposter. Thor figured me out and I failed to rule as King. And then I moved into the Avengers tower and now I’m here with you in your kingdom, learning about what it means to be a real ruler without using any of my power to manipulate people as I did in the past,” Loki explains.
”And what made you come to the conclusion that you needed to do this?” I ask.
”So I could learn to unconditionally like someone. Someone tolerable, powerful, someone who isn’t boring,” Loki describes.
”And do I fit that bill?” I ask cheekily.
Loki looks at me with his sharp blue eyes, his flat expression turning into a sincere smile.
”Definitely,” Loki says softly.

Thievery and Mischief- (a descendants/marvel crossover)
Tumblr media
“What?” Mal says through the phone, just as surprised as I am.
”Yeah, and I have no idea what it’s for. If it’s a gift for me or for mom, or a time bomb. I don’t know!” I exclaim.
”Listen, whatever it is, don’t worry too much about it. Jay is a good guy and he’s proved that countless times to you. If there was something bad about him, I would’ve told you by now. He’s my best friend. Don’t worry about it. And if there’s anything at all that concerns you. Just let me know,” Mal says sincerely.
I smile before hanging out the phone. I sigh, still thinking about what the box could be.
Suddenly, Kasey comes into my room and bows.
”You may enter,” I say with a smile.
”You and Jay are absolutely nasty! I haven’t seen that happen since Chad!” Kasey exclaims, recalling me and Jay’s actions from earlier tonight.
I blush softly and push back a piece of my hair.
”Anyways, your mom wants you down for dinner by 9 and dress exquisitely with the family jewels,” Kasey says.
”Is the whole court coming over?” I assume.
”No, it’s just a family dinner. She’s eccentric, you know?” Kasey comments.
I laugh softly.
”Sure I do. She’s my mother for god's sake,” I say.
”I think you should wear that new red gown you got from the fall show you walked, Jay would like that,” Kasey suggests.
”And what makes you think I’m dressing up for him?” I ask, standing up to get to my closet.
”He’s your suitor now, ain’t he? So, as a princess who’s dedicated to her courtship, it’s only natural that you’d try to at least impress a little,” Kasey comments.
I roll my eyes as I flip through my section of gowns.
”I wanna look...matured. I’m sick of being mom’s little treasure. So maybe that gown might just be it,” I say flipping through trying to find the gown.
”That’s what I figured,” He says, appearing next to me with the gown in hand.
(gown)
I slip it onto my body and zip it up with the help of Kasey.
I go to my vanity and look in the mirror.
”You look good, now lemme do your hair and you do your glam and I help you with your crown,” Kasey says.
I nod and I start to grab my makeup products from my drawer.
 (makeup)
(hair)
(crown)
I take a look in the mirror and eye my body.
”I look...so much older. I haven’t worn this crown since I was 13,” I say poking at the crown, adjusting it.
I turn and see Kasey as he pushes tears away from his face.
I pout and the sight of him crying and I give him a hug. He grips into me and I hear him sob softly.
“I missed you so much, Adri. I missed that smile on your face when you loved the way you looked,” Kasey says through tears.
”I missed you making me feel beautiful... inside and out, Kase. You were one of my first friends. How could I not love you?” I say, cupping his cheek.
”You deserve to be this happy, Adri. You’ve gone through so much and you make me realize I’m not as lonely as I think. Even if I do want a boyfriend,” Kasey says.
”I can probably help you with that,” I say with a smirk.
”Can you find me someone hotter than Jay?” Kasey says with hopeful eyes.
”I don’t think that’s possible, honey,” I laugh.
Kasey beams and lets go of me.
”Now go, your family’s waiting for you,” Kasey says.
He opens the door for me and I step out, walking with my newfound confidence.
I walk down the halls, hearing my heels click behind me as I walk. Butterflies enter my stomach as I realize it’s my first family dinner as a new woman.
I get to the stairs and I peek over to see who’s downstairs.
I see Jay and Dad having a laugh together along with Aziz and Mom who are deep in conversation. I stare at Jay and suddenly my nerves calm.
He’s wearing a familiar red suit. It’s Dad’s! I recognize it from a gala we were invited to when I was little. It fits him so perfectly. He looks so handsome.
Suddenly, I see his eyes on me and I blush softly. I see him bite his lip as he stares at me. I come into the light and start to descend the stairs, watching my step.
I reach the bottoms step and I look up and see Jay staring back at me.
”Lemme guess...you think I’m strikingly beautiful?” I assume, recalling our reoccurring joke.
”Even better. You look perfect,” Jay says softly.
He wraps an arm around my waistline, pulling me close.
We both lean in for a sweet kiss.
”So do you,” I say.
A light flush covers Jay’s cheeks after I compliment him.
Dad steps in between us.
”Save that for dessert, kids,” Dad says with a wink.
I punch his arm playfully and he snickers to himself.
”To be more serious, you look absolutely stunning, babycakes,” Dad compliments.
”Thank you, Dad,” I say with a smile.
”That’s the smile,” Dad says.
”What smile?” I ask, raising a brow.
”Nothing,” Dad says patting my shoulder.
I stick out my hand for Jay to take and we hold hands.
We head to the dining room where we see some surprising guests.
Jordan and her dad!
”Cuzzo!” I exclaim, pointing at Jordan.
”Cuzzo!” She replies back.
She stands up from her seat and we hug.
”I didn’t expect you to be here!” I say.
”Neither did I,” Mom says, confused by the situation.
”Al called me over and since it’s a family dinner, I’ve got a do a little flexing, you know?” Uncle Genie says, cracking his knuckles.
”What kind of flexing?” Jay asks, playing along.
Uncle Genie rubs his hands together and a cloud of blue smoke appears. Suddenly, rows and rows of food appear. My eyes widen at all the comfort foods of home on one table.
”Looks like we’re eating good tonight!” Aziz says, sitting down.
”Uh, uh. Not yet, we still have more people coming,” Dad says.
”How many people did you invite?” Mom asks.
”Just the Li’s and that’s it,” Dad says.
”You mean Shang and Lonnie are coming over?” Aziz asks.
”Of course they are,” Dad says.
Me and Aziz bump fists.
We all wait for the Li’s arrival and we both scramble to the door when they arrive.
“Shang! Lonnie!” Me and Aziz exclaim.
”Hey!” Lonnie says, hugging me.
”Jesus, I keep forgetting I haven’t seen you in like 5 years. How was the dark abyss?” Shang asks.
”Tough but guess which demon crawled out?” I say, playfully referring to myself.
”You dumbass,” Shang says, punching my arm.
”Shut up, tall ass! I grew,” I say with a pout.
”Damn right, you did,” Shang says, eyeing me up.
”Hey, you better watch yourself, Li,” Jay says from behind me.
Shit. I forgot. The tourney rivalry.
”Chill out, Farr. We’re childhood friends. Didn’t we call a truce during last week’s game?” Shang asks Jay.
”Sure but it's not my problem that your team is sick of your bullshit,” Jay scoffs.
”Boys, no sports at dinner, that’s rule 27 of dinner etiquette,” Lonnie reminds them.
“Yeah, Lonnie,” The tourney captains say in unison.
Me and Lonnie roll our eyes and laugh at their antics.
”I swear everything now is a rivalry in sports,” I say.
”I know! He even targeted me when I became captain of the swords and shields team! Like what the hell is wrong with you? He always wants to win at something,” Lonnie says.
”It’s not easy,” I comment.
We both nod in agreement and all of us go back to the dining room and stand around the table.
Everyone sits in their usual spots except mom. Mom sits at my left-hand side next to Dad and he looks at her confusedly.
”Babe, what’re you doing?” Dad asks.
”Giving Adri her seat at the table,” Mom says.
I blush softly in embarrassment.
Everyone stares at me proudly and I feel overwhelmed.
”But I’m not the Sultana,” I say.
“You will be soon,” Mom says.
I look over at Jay and he looks just as nervous as I am.
He sits down in the seat to my right, leaving me to be the last one to sit down. Now taking my place as the future Sultana at the head of the table. I’m now head of household.
”Um. This is new to me so...I’m just gonna start by saying how I feel. I’m overwhelmed that I was welcomed back home after so much time. I felt quite uninvited after the events of two years ago. I will not deny what happened ever. Because now it’s part of me. And I’m glad that we’ve all moved forward from that. And now I get to be with all of you.”
”Now I get to live my life not in exile but in freedom. With the people I love. And now I realize, I’m so much older and at any point in time, I could lose any of you. You’re all important people not just to me but to a lot of people. And now that I see people sacrificing themselves and people who tell me that I ‘saved’ them, there’s a lot of people that turn to us for help. And that when my time of reign comes, I’m going to need people to help me rule because everything is new to me. So I just want you all to promise me that you’ll be here when I ask for your help. And I mean every single one of you,” I say sincerely.
Everyone nods in agreement.
I take Jay’s hand in mine and I smile.
”Now, everyone. You can start eating if you’d like or you can just talk if you’re not too hungry,” I say.
The table laughs softly at my nervous attempt to clear the air and everyone starts poking and grabbing at the food in front of them.
I watch as Dad directs his eyes to the food while looking at Jay. Jay then passes his plate to me.
”Thank you, baby,” I say.
”No problem,” Jay says shyly.
Suddenly, I feel his ankle around mine underneath the table. I smirk as I bite into my food. Then I feel his hand on my thigh.
”Jay, you better watch them hands underneath that table,” Jordan interrupts.
Jay looks away nervously and blushes softly, moving his hand away from my thigh.
I giggle to myself softly as he nervously stares at his plate.
“That reminds me of that one dinner when the kids were much younger,” Mulan says.
Mom kicks Mulan from underneath the table.
”Mulan! You promised never to speak of that again,” Mom says to her friend.
”Guess we didn’t see the memo, eh boys?” Shang Sr. says.
All the boys start laughing along with him.
”Are you kidding me?” Mom says to Dad.
”Jay wanted advice. I gave it to him,” Dad says.
My eyes widen as I remember what they’re talking about and I burst out laughing.
”Why are you laughing?” Mom says turning to me.
”I know exactly what you’re talking about, what makes it worse so that I saw,” I say through laughs.
”But you were with Ben!” Mom rebuttals.
”That was me, Jasmine. Adri dropped her fork and was picking it up,” Lonnie says, starting to remember.
”Oh god,” Mom says, burying her face into her hands.
We all are laughing now as Mom blushes furiously in embarrassment.
”Okay, now I think I know what an Ababwa family dinner is like,” Jay says.
”You mean where we end up embarrassing the hell out of Jasmine?” Jordan asks.
”Shut up!” Mom says, her face now red from the embarrassment.
”Aww, we’re sorry honey,” Dad says to Mom sarcastically.
”You’re all so terrible,” Mom says, sighing.
”Well, you raised us this way,” I add.
Dinner concluded on a high note and we all head out to the courtyard for coffee on the green.
I catch up with Lonnie and Jordan as Jay converses with the boys.
He looks happy here. I stare at his expressions, searching for any sign of his comfort here until I get a tap on the shoulder.
”Don’t tell me you're giving him goo-goo eyes now after 8 months,” Jordan asks.
”But he just-“
”No no no, tonight is for us ladies, and so I think we should retire for dessert,” Jordan says.
”Dessert sounds good right now,” Lonnie says in agreement.
”Fine, we can go,” I say, giving in.
Jordan takes my hand and makes me follow them. I look over my shoulder and see the boys peaking glances at us.
Somethings up.
————————
As we munch on our chocolate cake and ice cream, we sit in utter enjoyment of the dessert.
”Nothing like chocolate, eh? Agrabah has the best desserts by far,” Lonnie says.
”I’ll take that as a compliment,” I say with a smile.
“So, what gave you the idea to bring Jay here, Adri?” Jordan asks.
I hesitate to answer, remembering me and Jay’s conversation. I wipe my mouth of chocolate before speaking.
”Well, I wanted to show him around where I grew up, get accustomed to what the family is like, the palace-“
”You wanna marry him don’t you?” Jordan asks abruptly.
Lonnie almost chokes on her cake. I go flat-lipped and Lonnie looks at me with wide eyes.
”Well? Do you?” She asks.
”Yes...” I say hesitantly.
”Oh gods, you wanna marry him? Really?” Lonnie asks, her voice getting higher with excitement.
”I see a future with him, honestly, us traveling together, doing interviews together, being a successful couple with our future careers, us collaborating on more projects, and honestly after the test mom gave him, I see how loyal he can be, so if he’s willing to be committed to me than I’m perfectly set on him,” I say honestly.
The girls don’t respond, rather they look behind me. I furrow my brows confusedly and look behind me.
Behind me, I see Jay, standing from afar with a bouquet of violets.
”Gods, Jay- What the hell?” I say, blushing from embarrassment.
“I guess that confirmed all my suspicions,” Jay says with a small laugh.
I stand, heading towards him, and kissing him sweetly before accepting his flowers.
“You never forget do you?” I ask with a smile.
”Ever. But there is one more thing I have to give you,” Jay says softly.
I furrow my brows again and look at him confusedly.
“But first,” Jay says suddenly, turning me around slowly.
Behind me, I see our friends. Mal and Ben, Carlos and Jane, Logan and Jake, Angel and Arabella, gathered together.
I laugh at the sight of them.
”You guys! I thought y’all were on trips to the beach and the forest and what not?” I ask.
”Hey, there’s no way we could just leave you two alone here,” Mal says with a smile.
I laugh softly at her words.
”You should probably turn around again, by the way,” Carlos says staring behind me.
“Jeez, how much turning-?” I say.
The group laughs. I do as they ask and turn.
Jay isn’t in my eye-level vision.
But rather on the ground, standing on one knee with a box in his hands.
I immediately realize what this means.
I gasp and cover my mouth.
He’s gonna propose.
”You guys are despicable for this one! I knew something was going on,” I say, stomping lightly.
Everyone in the room laughs, including Jay.
”God, this is hard,” Jay sighs.
We both laugh in unison.
”Um, first I wanna say, thank you for agreeing to bring me here. Without this trip, I wouldn’t have seen what a beautiful kingdom this is and how it has helped you be such a beautiful woman. And second, without this trip, I wouldn’t have been able to realize how much I really love you. You’re my companion, my support chain, my everything and I love the hell out of you for everything you do. And I couldn’t have become a better man in this life without you, no matter what happens. But as a man, I want a woman that I can confide in, to love me and cherish me and you sure ticked all those marks. There’s no other person in the world that I would love to call my wife more than you, so please, Adri, marry me and make me the luckiest man in the world?” Jay asks.
Instead of crying, I decided to laugh at the excitement boiling within me. Suddenly, I feel light and airy after hearing his admiration for me being known.
“Absolutely yes,” I say with a big smile.
Jay immediately gets up and gives me the tightest hug. All around, cheers of happiness are heard, the loudest ones coming from Carlos and Lonnie.
“OUR BEST FRIENDS ARE GETTING MARRIED!” They say in unison.
Me and Jay laugh at their antics.
Jay takes the ring out of the box and slips it onto my finger. I examine the Diamond ring, a square cut with small diamonds surrounding it with a thin band.
“It’s beautiful, Jay. Thank you,” I say sweetly.
“You deserve that and so much more, babe,” Jay says.
We share a sweet kiss, and he stares into my eyes afterward with his signature smile on his face.
I couldn’t love him any more than I do now.

Thievery and Mischief- (a descendants/marvel crossover)
Tumblr media
Warning: smut under the cut!
Spring Break, either the best or worst time out of the whole year. During this spring break, we finally made plans to go home to Agrabah. We enter the hot familiar city and see the bazaar all in motion. Traders and sellers are in their canopies, selling all kinds of different goods. Everything is in the familiar hustle of the city I grew up in. We reach the gates of the palace and the gates open. In front of us, a familiar and fantastic spectacle. A now rebuilt palace unlike what Aziz and I were familiar with in the past. "Feels weird, huh? Seeing everything like this?" Aziz asks me, coming to my side. "Definitely," I say softly.
"I'm assuming it looked like none of this before," Jay says, emerging from behind us. "Nope," Me and Aziz said, stepping forward into the palace.
By the entrance of the palace stood an old friend and dear servant of mine, Kasey, son of Kassim, dad's closest friend. I run towards Kasey with a smile on my face.
"You have no idea how much I missed you, Adri," Kasey says. "You have no idea how much I miss your coffee either," I say cheekily. Kasey's eyes light up suddenly.
"Speaking of which, who's this tall caramel macchiato that has joined us?" Kasey says, peering over my shoulder. I let go of his embrace and see Jay waiting behind us. I smile and go to his side, taking his hand. "This is Jay Farr. My lovely songwriting partner and boyfriend," I introduce.
"Oh? The notoriously sexy son of Jafar? Kasey, it's a pleasure," Kasey greets. "I wouldn't say notoriously sexy but I'm sure Adri would agree with that," Jay chuckled. Kasey and Jay shake hands briefly.
"Oh! I forgot to mention, your mom and dad are both in meetings and I made you guys some of my famously delicious coffee," Kasey says. "Thank the gods, I used to kill for that coffee after training," Aziz says, coming with his bags.
"Aziz, always the same," Kasey says, rolling his eyes.
I take Jay's hand and escort him inside. I smile as he looks around at all the designs and structures in the palace. His eyes wash over with a sense of happiness as he glazes over every accent of the room. We walk towards the garden where we get a delicious whiff of fresh coffee.
"God, that smell is so much better than I could've ever imagined," Jay says. I sit on the fountain ledge in the center of the garden. They're waiting for us is a cart of mugs that have beautiful steam twisting out of them. Kasey takes them and hands us each our own mug.
"Adri, don't drink it too fast," Kasey advises before the substance hits my lips. I huff in defeat. "Anyways, how's Auradon?" Kasey asks.
"Interesting, I would say. Besides all the crappy shit that happened with me, I've gotten so many new jobs and projects, and I also met Jay last September so that was amazing for me," I say.
"September went by so fast, I mean we've had our first Halloween together where we went as Joker and Harley, our first Friendsgiving at the dorms which was fun, our first Christmas where she bought me a whole car-" Jay starts. "What? I like to spoil you sometimes. And plus, you spend enough money on me so I have to give you something in return," I add.
"You two shop a lot?" Kasey asks. "Yeah, she's always getting PR from designers and going to fittings and whenever she does, she tries to bring me along. Let's just say I get inspired and she throws down a thousand dollars for me to get new outfits," Jay says cheekily. Kasey's eyes widen as he sips his coffee.
"What? I need my man looking good. Even if all the girls flirt and stare I've gotta have my mark on him," I say with a wink. Kasey laughs at my comment and then turns to Aziz. "How about you, Aziz? Still don't have a girl?" Kasey asks.
"I'm graduating, man. I don't need a girl to hold me down from my work," Aziz scoffs. "Oh, you and I both know that what you're saying isn't true," I mention, sipping my coffee. Aziz puts his mug down and glares at me.
"What're you getting at?" Aziz asks. "I don't know you seem awfully 'friendly' with Lonnie these days," Jay says.
"Dude, you know that's not true," Aziz says to Jay, trying to convince him to back him up. "You literally show up at every fencing practice match and talk to her for hours," Jay says. "And she goes to every Tourney game to see you," I add.
"Pfft, Nah. She's just there to support Jay," Aziz brushes off, focusing his attention to Kasey. "Aziz...you've been liking her for years. You told me yourself," Kasey says, setting down his mug. Aziz sighs exasperatedly and puts his head in his hands. Jay leans over to whisper in my ear.
"Don't you think we should do something about that little dilemma?" Jay asks in a low whisper. I nod and my mouth curves into a smirk. "There are my favorite children," Dad says, emerging from the halls into the garden. We all stand and Aziz and I hug him tightly. "Aziz, Adri, how are you guys?" Dad asks. "Glad to be home," Aziz says with a smile. "How 'bout you, mama?" Dad asks, patting my shoulder.
"I'm pretty happy about a lot of things actually," I say with a soft smile. Dad lets go of us both and notices Jay. "Jay, my man! How're you?" Dad says, walking towards him. They fist bump.
"I'm doing pretty good, Al. Just trying to take in this beautiful city you've got here," Jay says. "You'll probably rule it one day if you keep up the good things with Adri," Dad says to Jay with a wink. "Pa," I say through gritted teeth, hitting his shoulder.
"What? Are things not going well between you two?" Dad asks. "Actually, they are. We're actually working on some projects together for a movie with Gaga and we're both Captains now," Jay says. "I heard! By the way, congratulations honey. I'm proud of you being appointed to the Royal Guard," Dad says now turning to me. "It's a lot of work training those boys but I've managed," I say with a smile. Dad embraces both me and Jay and escorts us into the palace. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We all explain to dad our experiences and jobs so far and he is quite impressed. "I've just got to say, you've all accomplished quite a lot since I last saw you all. I'm actually very proud of you, Adri. I mean you managed to fight through schedule changes, a slight scandal, and a whole tour in only 7 months. Good job," Dad compliments. My brows furrow. "Scandal? What do you mean by scandal?" I ask. "I was informed of the prank that was pulled by Lonnie and Jay and got some information on a video that could've jeopardized your career," Dad explains. Remembering the video incident, my stomach drops. "Did you-?" "No, I didn't watch the video, that's something private to you. And also that would be completely out of line," Dad says, calming my nerves. "I swear Aziz has the worst friends," I say. "Oh shut up that's your own fault for getting drunk," Aziz scoffs. Dad's eyes widened. "You drank alcohol after a year?" Dad asks. I blush in embarrassment. Jay looks at me and snickers to himself. "Good, keep up that badassery," Dad says with a wink. My eyes widen at his response. "Have you been hanging out with Tony lately?" I ask him. "Maybe," Dad says. I roll my eyes and hide my head in my hands. Of course, he would hang out with Tony Stark.
"I'm kind of new to this whole Royalty thing, so who are all these people you talk about?" Jay asks in confusion.
"The Avengers. Adri has to go to meetings once every year with them to help manage their powers and their saves. Tony is Tony Stark or Iron Man, one of the richest men in the country and Steve Rogers is Captain America, world war two veteran who has been trapped in ice at the bottom of the Hudson River for 70 years," Aziz explains.
"Oh! They're the group with superpowers who recently went to court for their power's right," Jay realizes.
"Exactly, I'm surprised you didn't know sooner," I say.
Soon, Mom joins us after her meeting.
'You were all waiting for me?" Mom asks.
"Yeah, we need you to complete Jay's tour of the new palace," Aziz says.
Mom turns and notices Jay sitting next to me.
"I'm actually glad you brought him, Adri. This way he can learn a little bit more of what I expect from him," Mom says in a serious tone.
Jay gulps nervously at Mom's response.
"Don't listen to her, she's trying to scare you away," Dad whispers to him.
Mom then escorts all of us to the main hallway.
"Since you kids haven't been home, we've been rebuilding the palace to be a little more modified than it was before. We've been holding construction meetings for the past two years now and the building is about done. Meaning, we need a fresh start for our government. Aladdin and I have been thinking and we believe that Adri is the perfect candidate for Sultana," Mom says.
My smile drops immediately. The shock of hearing this news hits me like a wall of bricks.
'Are you serious?" I ask her.
"We've actually spoken to Aziz before and he isn't quite ready to settle down yet," Dad says.
"And what makes you think I'm ready? I've already got so many responsibilities," I comment.
"You're quite ambitious compared to your brother. You have a more determined standard in mind when it comes to taking a position of power, and you've been this way since you were younger," Mom says, explaining her reasoning.
"But what about my projects, and my career, and the treaty with England and errancy?" I add.
"I'm sure Jay would make a fine Sultan," Dad compliments.
"I think otherwise. Which is why you're even lucky to be here. Prove me wrong and we'll give your courtship our blessing. But a word of advice, your manners can't overshadow your reputation," Mom says bluntly.
"I'll...keep that in mind?" Jay says, questioning himself rather than Mom's words.
"Don't tell me your gonna give him etiquette quizzes," I say in a groan.
"That's exactly what we're gonna do," Mom says with a smirk.
Jay turns to me and uses his eyes to show me his nervousness. I sense his aura change completely. He's absolutely terrified of disappointing me and my mother. And so am I.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Later, Kasey returns to lead us to our quarters.
"No one is allowed in the princess's quarters except me," Kasey says.
"But she's my girlfriend," Jay says.
"It's justified. The princesses are beloved in their kingdoms, even being in their prescience is an honor. Which is why the only way to enter is by invitation," Kasey explains.
Jay rolls his eyes and continues down the hall towards his room.
God, he's got a lot to learn.
I enter my room and I look around.
"Just like it was back then," I think to myself.
I look through my drawers and find all my belongings just as they were before I left Agrabah. I start to situate my other things from my bags into my room. I then walk into my closet and see all my sectioned clothing in my enormous walk-in closet. I go to section D and pick up my lucky periwinkle dress. I wonder when I'd find an occasion to wear this dress.
Before I can go any further into my closet, I get a knock on my door.
"Come on in," I say.
I hear footsteps enter the room and I continue to look through my closet, then I feel arms wrap around my waist.
"I'm not in trouble am I?" A familiar husky voice asks, whispering in my ear.
I turn and see Jay and I pull his hands off of my waist.
"You're not supposed to be in here! Not until we're married," I say.
"But you invited me in here," Jay justifies.
I roll my eyes.
"What do you need?" I ask him.
"First, I need some help with etiquette, second, I am absolutely terrified of your mother and third, I want those pretty lips," Jay says.
Jay leans in but I pull back, stopping him.
"If you get all the questions I quiz you with right by the end of this lesson, I'll give you your kiss and if you're good, I'll give you a little more than a kiss," I tease.
Jay's eyes widen and a sudden lust fills his eyes.
"Yes, Ms. Ababwa," Jay says playfully.
I take his hand and lead him to my desk.
I sit him down in my desk chair.
"First question, what is my full legal name?" I ask.
"Adri Violetta Ababwa-Lopez, but I'm hoping to change that," Jay recites with a wink.
I hit his arm.
"Cheeky," I tsk.
Jay smirks as he looks up at me, suddenly an idea pops into my head and I slowly take off my shirt, revealing my bra to him. A sudden blush glosses over his cheeks.
"Now, what is the Tri-Kingdom treaty?" I ask.
"The treaty between current day Agrabah, France, and England that bonds that keep peace among their trades that was established after the War of France," Jay says.
"And how'd you know that?" I ask.
"History of Auradon, my first hundred on a test," Jay says.
"Good," I say, slowly unbuttoning my jeans.
"Now, how do you respond to a question that you'd like to avoid?" I ask him, my fingers tracing my waistband. Jay watches expectantly, waiting for me to pull them down.
"I have no comment,"  Jay says.
"Excellent," I say, slowly pulling them down.
I kick off my jeans and watch Jay's eyes as they trace the curves of my body.
"I bet you're starting to like this, huh?" I ask Jay.
"Yes, Ms. Ababwa," Jay says.
"Now, really think about this one. If you and I were at dinner with my family and I was head of household, where would you sit?" I ask, walking slowly towards Jay.
I sit on his lap, straddling him to the seat. He stares into my eyes, mesmerized by my actions. Jay thinks hard.
"Your... right-hand side," He answers.
"Good boy," I say lowly.
I place a kiss on the right side of his neck and he tilts his head to the side, inviting me to kiss him more.
"You want me to kiss your neck?" I ask him.
"Yes," He moans lowly.
I smirk as I place a kiss on his collar bone.
"Now, if we marry who'd be the dominant ruler? Me or you?" I ask.
"You," He says hesitantly.
"You hesitated," I whisper, commenting on his actions.
'You will," He replies more confidently.
"That's correct, baby," I say.
I bite his flesh softly, sucking on that spot to leave my mark on him. I listen closely as he moans, his pitch changing as I bite his skin. I pull back and see Jay's head rolled back, with his eyes closed, and biting his lips.
"Fuck, keep going," He moans softly.
"You begging for me?" I ask, asserting my dominance.
Jay tilts his head straight and opens his eyes slowly.
"I think there's a certain bitch in this room who'd rather answer the opposite," Jay says in a deep tone.
Suddenly, Jay lifts me up from my place on his lap and carries me across the room to my bed. He pins my body to the bed and towers over me, staring at me with his dark lustful eyes.
"So...you gonna start begging, princess?" Jay asks in a low growl.
I take in his words carefully, analyzing how the situation had changed in 180 motion. Now, he was testing me. And I was enjoying it.
"Hell no," I spit at him.
Then he grabs my wrists and pins them over my head. Making me unable to move.
"Then let me ask you something, if there's something I know you desperately want and I deny you of it, will you fight back?" Jay asks.
"Obviously," I say, rolling my eyes.
Jay smirks and chuckles to himself. I look at him in confusion and he lifts himself off of me. He walks back to my desk and sits back in my chair. He spreads his legs out and sits back, folding his hands behind his neck.
"You can do whatever you'd like, but your only rule is that you can't touch me, understood?" Jay orders.
"Sure...but what if I want to touch you?" I ask.
"Then you don't get what you want. Rather, you'd get what you deserve," Jay says.
”And what if I want what I deserve?” I ask.
Jay’s eyes trail my body up and down and he bites his lip.
”Well, then. If you’re so confident in yourself I think you can handle what’ll happen,” Jay says with a smirk on his lips.
I stand from the bed and walk over towards him again. I sit in front of him on my knees. My eyes trailing from his crotch to his eyes.
”I think I wanna touch you then,” I say softly.
Suddenly, the door opens and our head whip to face the door.
Kasey stands by the door frame, staring at the sight in front of him. His eyes widen and he closes the door quicker than when he opened.
”Gods, Adri! Learn to lock the door for once!” Kasey yell from the other side of the door.
”I’m so sorry, Kasey! It will never happen ever again, I promise,” I apologize, getting up to lock the door.
”This is the second time! Never again,” Kasey says, his voice echoing down the hall.
”Second time?” Jay says, raising a brow.
I blush nervously.
”When I was a Freshman and I was still with Chad...I brought him to my place and I...practiced....sucking him off,” I hesitantly admit.
Jay’s eyes widen.
”So, you bring all of your lovers here to suck them off, huh?” Jay asks cheekily.
”Hey! I’ve only ever had two,” I lie.
Jay stands up from the chair and walks over to me, pinning me to the door.
”You and I both know that your mouth has been places that you don’t seem to say,” Jay says.
I gulp as he bends down to my ear, chills going down my neck to my spine.
”But your efforts to be a little brat in front of everyone, are quite adored by me. The only difference between all of those other lovers you’ve had and me is that I know what that pretty little cunt of yours craves,” Jay growls in my ear.
My eyes roll back and his lips graze my neck.
”You planned to do this shit to me all along, huh?” I ask.
”Oh, baby. You know me better than anyone else. Now, for question number two of your etiquette lesson. Are you gonna keep being my dirty little princess and keep teasing me? Or are you gonna be a brat and touch me?” Jay asks.
An idea clicks into my head.
I use my powers to morph my nails to be a bit sharper and I scratch Jay’s back lightly making him groan.
”I was hoping you’d do that,” Jay admits.
He turns us around so his back is to the door and unbuttons my bra. I slip it off and he pulls me close by my underwear. Our lips meet in the middle in a passionate kiss.
He pulls away first to pull off his shirt. I stare at his toned body and admire it. My eyes tracing every muscle.
”I think you know what to do from here, princess,” Jay says.
I get down on my knees and I slowly pull down Jay’s gray sweatpants along with his boxers and his member springs out. I put the tip on my lips, pecking his hole lightly. Then, I take half of it in my mouth. Swirling my tongue around it.
I look up and see Jay’s jaw drop and a loud moan escape his throat. His head rolling back in pleasure as I bob my head on his length.
“Fuck...Adri,” Jay moans.
I pull his length out of my mouth. I giggle lightly.
”How the tables have turned,” I say cheekily.
Jay looks down at me and suddenly pulls my hair back.
He lifts my head to face him.
”You’re such a little brat, aren’t you?” Jay growls.
He then pulls me down onto his member again, making me choke as his length thrusts into my mouth.
Jay groans as he guides my head up and down his length.
Soon, his length starts to twitch in my mouth, announcing his climax. But he pulls my hair back, off his length.
”I’m not gonna come until you beg for it. So, do you my come in your mouth?” Jay asks.
”No,” I say.
Jay raises his brow.
”Oh? So then where do you want it?” Jay asks.
My eyes trail down to my heat and I look back up at him.
”Oh,” Jay says with a smirk.
Jay extends his hand and helps me stand.
We walk over to my bed and I lay down on my back.
He towers over me once again and bends down to leave marks on my neck.
”What do you want now, princess?” He asks.
”Can we skip the bullshit please?” I admit.
”Now, that’s something I can deliver,” Jay says.
He kisses my forehead.
”But I don’t want to,” Jay whispers.
He gets off of me and walks off to my bathroom.
”Where are you going?” I ask.
”You’ll see,” Jay says.
I furrow my brows in confusion.
What's in my bathroom?
Then I realize.
I forgot Jordan told him that hid my vibrator in my bathroom. During the after-party in October, Jordan got drunk and we all talked about stupid shit we did. Jordan admitted that about me while Jay was talking to Ben.
Soon, he comes back out with the thing I dreaded that he’d find. My wand vibrator.
”I’ve been waiting for the day I got to use this on you,” He says, walking towards me with the vibrator in hand. Then, he reveals his other hand with BDSM rope in his hands.
”I-I forgot I had those in there,” I gulp.
”Sit up. Hands behind your back,” He orders.
I do as he asks and I feel him tying up my wrists. They’re tight when he finishes.
”Lay back, spread your legs,” Jay orders.
I do this and he pulls my arms over my head. He looks down and pulls my underwear off, exposing my heat. He then spits on my heat, using it as a lubricant. He turns on the vibrator to the third level and presses it on my clit.
I moan loudly almost yelling at the intensity of the vibrations.
”You like it when daddy punishes you with the vibe on your pussy?” He asks, taunting me.
”God, yes,” I moan loudly.
”You want more?” Jay asks.
”Please...yes,” I moan.
”Now you’re begging, you little brat,” Jay says, turning up the level.
I moan loudly as the vibrations get stronger.
“Yes, that feels so good,” I moan.
Jay chuckles as I writhe in my bonds, staring down at me with his dark eyes.
”I can tell your gonna come already, but I’m not gonna let you,” Jay growls.
I groan through my moans at his response.
”Then fucking stuff me already!” I beg.
Jay turns the vibrator off and picks up a condom he tossed on the bed.
“Put it on if you want it so bad,” Jay says, passing it to me.
I unwrap the condom and slip it on his length, pumping his length a couple of times so he can adjust to it. He then gets back on top of me and slowly slips his length in me.
”Fucking god, I’m sensitive,” I moan.
”Me too, baby,” Jay groans.
He starts to thrust slowly into me and I wince at the pain building.
”Fuck, how you’re you so tight?” Jay says.
Then he adjusts to his regular pace and pain starts to change into pleasure.
”Daddy, please,” I moan.
”What do you need baby?” Jay asks.
”Take the condom off,” I say through gritted teeth.
Jay stops thrusting and looks down at me concerned.
“I want it raw and I want you to come in me,” I order.
Suddenly, Jay goes completely red.
“A-Are you sure?” Jay hesitates, changing from a complete dominant man to a concerned submissive boyfriend.
”I took my birth control pill this morning. And if anything happens, you’re gonna court me after your quiz anyways. So if we’re married it doesn’t matter what happens,” I say.
”You really wanna commit to this?”Jay asks.
I lift my head up and kiss him softly.
”I would kiss you more but I’m kinda tied up here,” I say.
Jay reaches over my head and unties my wrists.
I pull him close to me and we kiss passionately. Our lips fit together with every touch. Our tongues tasting each other’s flavor. The scent of lust in the air.
”I know you’re gonna pass. Because etiquette doesn’t fucking matter. The way you love me does,” I say honestly.
Jay smiles softly and kisses my cheek.
”Even when you’re sexy, you’re always so cute,” Jay says.
I bite my lip at his response.
”So, you like it raw? I’ll give it to you raw then,” Jay says, returning to his dominant role.
He pulls off the condom and puts his length inside of my heat.
He groans loudly at the contact.
”Shit, this changes everything,” Jay says.
”Fuck, you’re too fucking thick,” I admit.
”You like those veins when they press into you?” Jay asks, thrusting with more force.
”God yes,” I moan loudly.
Jay takes my hands in his and holds them to my sides as he thrust deeply into me.
”Hey, I love you even when you are a little brat,” Jay says.
”I know,” I say through a moan.
I look down as he thrusts into me, watching as his length pumps in and out. Suddenly, he hits my spot hard and I roll my head and back and scream.
”Fuck, Jay! Right there,” I yell.
”Looks like I found your spot,” Jay says cheekily.
He thrusts deep into that spot and I feel my clit start to twitch.
”Yes, I’m gonna come!” I moan loudly.
”Me too, baby. I’m gonna that pussy all the way up with my come, is that what you want? Huh?” Jay asks.
”Fuck yes, daddy,” I reply in a moan.
I feel his length twitch inside of me, his pulsating veins pressing into my walls.
”God damn it, Adri,” Jay cries out.
Suddenly, I feel a wave of pleasure roll over me as his come drips into me and my back arches. My toes curl as I climax.
”God fuck, Jay!” I moan loudly as I climax.
Jay cups my cheek and I open my eyes to look at him.
”Fuck, are you okay? That was so good. You did amazing. I love you,” Jay rants.
”I’m fine. And of course, I love you too,” I say through a smile.
”I should wash you up before dinner,” Jay says.
”Dessert before dinner? Kind of odd,” I say as he gets off of me.
”Shut up,” Jay says throwing a pillow at me.
I laugh as I dodge the pillow.
He picks me off the bed bridal style and brings me to the bathtub. He sets me down and fills the tub with warm water and some soap.
”You didn’t have to do this, babe. You’ve destroyed my insides enough,” I joke.
”That's actually why I have to. I’ve destroyed you, so I have to put you back together,” Jay says.
I laugh at his response.
”You’re too cheesy. We have sex and then you give me a bath? That’s literally what happens in every romance story,” I say.
”Well then, this is our romance story,” Jay says cheekily.
He leans in to kiss my cheek and I turn so he kisses my lips instead.
”Cheeky,” He scoffs, pouting at my action.
He grabs a cloth from my cabinets and puts soap on it. I begin to wipe down the sweat from my body. I stare into his eyes as he is focused on the details of my skin. He moves to my arms and sees the familiar scarring from my self-harm marks.
”I never want you to do this ever again. Even if we break up. You don’t deserve to be in pain. That’s why I was hesitant with you before. I promised you that I would never hurt you. And I will always vow that to you,” Jay says, staring into my hazel eyes, speaking in a soft tone.
”I know. You say that all the time,” I say with a smile.
”Because I really mean it,” Jay says.
I think for a second.
”What if I cover them with tattoos? I’ve always wanted tattoos. They represent a lot in culture too, so I believe it would be something special to do to not hide my scars but rather...enhance them,” I suggest.
”That's...a cool idea! I could see you with a couple of tattoos. It totally fits your rebellious cause,” Jay says.
I smile at his comment and giggle.
He takes my hand and plants a kiss on it.
”I trust you can wash the rest of your body,” Jay says, handing me the cloth.
”What? Scared to wash my heat after you destroyed it?” I ask jokingly.
”I believe it has a vengeance,” Jay says, playing along.
I laugh at his response and take the cloth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Later that night, the etiquette examination begins.
We all head into the dining room where servants bring ancient textbooks, relics, the family crest, the crowns, jewels, and a chalkboard.
Mom stands in front of the blackboard expectantly with a cold stare on her face.
Jay sits in a seat in front of her. The rest of us stand on the sides of the room.
“Where do you think this’ll go?” Aziz asks me.
”No idea,” I gulp.
The guards close the doors and Mom pulls out a timer.
”I will ask you questions consecutively without repeating them, there is a sheet of paper and pencil behind you on the table. I Will stop this timer when you finish all 10 questions. If you go over two minutes, you will not pass the first phase and you must go back to Auradon, understand?” Mom says.
Jay nods nervously.
”Here are your questions. What is the entire family name? What color is our crest? When are Aziz and Adri’s birthdays? What does our family motto stand for? What is the primary language of our kingdom? Why do we celebrate the festival of color? Who was the first official Sultana? What is the tri-kingdom treaty? What does your errancy inquire? And finally, list the sultan’s duties. Go,” Mom lists, starting the timer.
Jay turns around and immediately starts writing. I take a deep breath to calm my nerves.
“Come on, Jay. You can do this,” I say in my mind, using my powers so he can hear my thought.
 His eyes open and his eyes turn to me momentarily. He scribbles on his paper quicker after my thought passes to him. I turn and see Dad’s eyes widen at his speed of writing.
“Done,” Jay announces.
Mom stops the timer and looks down at it.
”26 seconds. Not bad at all,” Mom says, reading off the timer.
She takes the paper from him and reads it off.
”What? How did you get 1, 6,7, and 10 so accurately? Especially 6?” Mom says with wide eyes.
”My father taught me Arabian language, Sultana. And I learned many things about your history from Adri and in classes. I learn things quite quickly you see,” Jay explains with a smirk on his face.
”I see. You pass, please stand for phase two,” Mom orders.
Jay stands from his seat.
Mom reaches over to a table and picks up the two family relics.
”Tell me what both of these are and their history,” Mom says.
”The crown jewel of Agrabah. A hairpiece made of pure rubies worn by only a princess of summer birth on her wedding day. For example, Adri must wear it when she marries to preserve the jewel’s rareness and beauty with her own rareness and beauty. That’s why the jewel is so preserved. It was also a gift from the goddess Frigga passed on after the Tri-Kingdom war,” Jay answers.
”That is correct, you may continue,” Mom says.
”And that is the Sword of Truth, the sword used during the battle Agrabah was founded. Whoever leads a battle must use this sword and plant it in the middle of their battlefield. The sword is rumored to break the ground beneath the enemy of the sword-bearer and entrusts a fair battle,” Jay says.
”Excellent. You pass the second phase,” Mom says.
Mom turns to face me.
”Adri. Can you conjure a woman for me?” Mom says.
”What kind of woman?” I ask.
”Think of a woman who is exactly like you but looks like an image of the perfect girl,” Mom says.
I put my hands in front of me and I think of what Mom orders.
Suddenly, a girl appears. Blonde with straight hair, blue eyes, with curves in all the right places with perfectly painted red lips. Her clothes are luxurious and she smells like roses.
”Hello,” The girl says in a calm, caring voice.
”We will call her Irda,” Mom says.
”But isn’t that Adri backward?” Aziz comments.
Mom hushes him and shoots him a look.
”You will interact with her blindly. Adri, your job is to create a scenario similar to that of a novella confession,” Mom says.
I nod.
As I wave my hands and think of dialogue the girl shakes her hips towards Jay. Putting her hand on his shoulder.
”Jay, there’s something I have to admit to you,” The girl says.
”Yes?” Jay asks hesitantly.
”I’ve always wanted to have you be at my side. We’ve been friends for a little while and I think it’s time that I say to you that...I want you to rule with me,” The girl says.
Jay giggles softly.
”I think you’ve got me confused and I’m really sorry,” Jay says.
”Confused? You’ve never called me confused before. I don’t believe I’m confused. Tell me how,” The girl says confidently.
”I- Irda. I would be honored to rule alongside you. But there’s someone that needs my help,” Jay says sincerely.
”Help? What kind of help?” The girl asks.
”She is someone I care about dearly. More dearly than I’ve ever cared about anyone. She’s stuck. She doesn’t know what direction to take with her life right now. She’s trapped between so many situations at once. No matter how many times she cries out, no one hears. Except me. I wanna be the one there for her when she cries out for help. For as long as she needs,” Jay says honestly to the girl.
”Do you care more about her than me?” The girl asks.
”To be honest, yes. I do. Because she’s someone who came into my life at a time where I never really expected anyone to find me and help me as much as she has. It’s something I really don’t know how to explain to others in detail. But she knows. She just doesn’t know how to say it either,” Jay says.
The girl looks up at him with tears now in her eyes.
”But I’ll miss you,” She says starting to choke up.
”I know. But you had the courage to ask me for help. I made you confident enough to do that, right? Now it’s time for me to help someone get that same confidence back,” Jay says.
Mom turns to me and I fade the image of the girl away.
”That was a very insightful response. You didn’t mention your relation to the girl and gave little detail of the situation that was comprehensible enough. Excellent work,” Mom says.
”It was hard. I actually had to do something similar recently,” Jay says.
My head pops up.
”When?” I ask.
”Ruby. She was asking me tons of questions about you. It was obvious that she wanted to take me from you and you were jealous automatically. She lied when you came over to us,” Jay admits.
”You were the one telling the truth,” I realize.
“Like I said, why would I make all these plans with you if never cared?” Jay repeats.
I walk over to him and our lips lock. He kisses me sweetly and with bits of passion.
Dad steps in and pulls us apart.
”Save that for after dinner,” Dad says.
We both giggle softly and blush.
Mom looks on at us and smiles softly.
”I can see how educated you are. But there’s still a missing piece. You now are going to be tested from today on at your royal skills through experience. Meaning if you embarrass her or this family, you are out,” Mom says.
”Yes, Sultana,” Jay agrees.
Mom smiles and walks out of the room. Jay sighs in relief.
”God, I had to go back to 6th-grade history to remember the relics,” Jay sighs.
”You learned about relics in school?” I ask.
”We had an Ancient Relics class where I learned how to steal those treasures,” Jay says.
”Of course you did,” I say, rolling my eyes.
”Also that Sultana question was a trick. She wasn’t the first. Her mom was actually. Her father was never royalty. He was only a lord,” Jay explains.
”Lemme guess, you learned that from your dad?” I ask.
Jay nods and I scoff.
”What? He prepped me for destructive moments, not Royal entrance exams,” Jay says.
I punch his arm and he winces. He laughs and wraps an arm around my shoulder.
“Hey, would you take my jacket really quick? I wanna have a chat with your dad real quick,” Jay says.
I nod and he gives me his jacket. I pull it over my shoulders and walk to my room. As I walk down the halls, I feel something bounce in his pocket. I pull it out and I find a small box.
I analyze the box. It’s made of red velvet and has an intricate clasp on the front.
Is it an engagement ring?
I shove the box back in the pocket and act like it’s not there.
Was he going to show it to Dad? Was he going to ask for his personal blessing?
I close my door behind me and pace.
When did he have the time to get the ring? Where did he get it? Suddenly the door opens and I see Jay walk in.
”You miss me?” Jay asks cheekily.
”Shut up,” I say.
He pulls me close by my waist and he kisses my neck.
”Hey, stop that,” I say giggling at the sensation.
I put my hands in the pockets of the jacket and I notice the box is gone. Did he take it while he was kissing me? How did I not notice?
”Hey, do you know where Aziz’s room is? I have to steal back my beanie,” Jay says.
I look at his head and notice his signature red beanie is gone.
I laugh and kiss his cheek.
”Turn left, third door to your right,” I say.
”I love you, baby,” He says before leaving.
”Love you too,” I say with a smile.
I squeal as he closes the door.
I pick up my phone and call Mal.

Thievery and Mischief- (a descendants/marvel crossover)
Tumblr media
After the tour, I decide to pay a little visit to my friends at Auradon Prep, Tia and Tavian, my favorite twins from Louisiana and drama club captains.
”Yo, Adri! What’s up?” Tavian says.
”Long time no see, how y’all doing?” I ask.
”Good now that there’s some peace and quiet,” Tia says, looking up towards the top of the stage.
”Not my fault you guys are so boring,” A voice says from the rafters.
I look up and see a guy with large wings, almost like a bird’s.
He stares at me, his eyes widening and suddenly he swoops down.
“Holy crap, you’re Adri Ababwa. I’m a big fan,” The guy says now standing in front of me.
”Nice wings man,” I say.
”Thanks, I grew them myself. Mutant powers y’know?” Angel says.
”Mutants?” I ask.
”My dad is a fairy, my mom is a sorceress. I’m Angel, by the way,” He says.
”Angel...by any chance are you the Bell twins’ cousin?” I ask.
He nods.
”They talk about you all the time, I see why now,” I say.
”It’s rare to see mutants in families. Some have wings, have claws in their hands, can shapeshift, that’s probably why I look up to you,” Angel says.
”Cause I can shapeshift into a tiger?” I ask.
”Exactly,” Angel says.
Tia and Tavian stare at us confusedly.
”Power talk,” I say.
The bell rings and the twins collect their things.
”Ooh, Tia! When’s the next time your mom can make me some of her famous gumbo?” I ask.
”If you come with me now, we can stop by her restaurant,” Tia says.
I turn to Angel.
”Wanna come?” I ask.
”Sure,” Angel says.
————
After meeting Angel, I learned some things about mutants and their abilities. This lesson was pretty enlightening and made me feel like I wasn't alone with my curse.
Later, I get a call from a number I don't recognize while walking through the gardens. I pick up the phone.
"Hello?" I say through the phone.
"Hey, Adri. It's been a while," A familiar voice says through the phone.
I recognize the voice to be Stefani, or Lady Gaga through the phone.
"Oh my gosh, Stefani! It's such an honor to talk to you again," I say happily.
I sit under the usual gossip tree to take the call.
"I know. Anyways, darling, I have a little project for you. You're someone who I love and hold dear as an artist, so I want to collaborate with you on a couple of songs for a movie I'm producing a soundtrack for," Stefani says.
"You want to collaborate with me for a motion picture soundtrack?" I ask.
"Mark Ronson is also gonna help and a couple of people from my team too. I was also looking in the credits for your album and I saw your boyfriend did the mixing for a couple of songs. I was hoping you and him might want to tag along on this," Stefani adds.
"I'm sure he would e happy to, but for now all I can say is yes to you on my own behalf. I would absolutely love to," I say with a smile.
"Great! I'll text you meeting details on Friday," Stefani says.
"Great!" I say.
I hang up the phone and giggle. I feel like screaming for joy. So many great things are happening! I guess that's what happens when you hit rock-bottom, you only go up from there. And now, everything is looking up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I walk to the gym where I find Jay with Lonnie and the rest of the fencing team.
”Take a break, boys!” Lonnie says, blowing her new captain’s whistle.
Jay spots me by the doors and walks over with a smile on his face.
”Hey, babe,” He greets.
Before he can kiss me, I put my finger over his lips.
”We have songs to write for Gaga,” I say with a smile.
Jay’s smile drops.
”Gaga? As in, Lady Gaga? Grammy award winner, Gaga?” Jay asks.
”She just called me and she wants us to write her songs for a movie,” I say.
Jay smiles widely and lifts me of the ground, hugging me tightly.
“Jesus, why didn’t you tell me sooner? That’s great! What if we win as Oscar or a Grammy or even a Teen choice award? I’m so proud of you,” Jay rants.
I laugh at his reaction to the news.
”Why is Jay smiling like that?” Lonnie asks, coming up to us.
”We get to write music for Lady Gaga,” Jay says proudly.
Lonnie’s jaw drops.
”Congratulations! You deserve it for making such good songs for her album,” Lonnie says, patting Jay’s shoulder.
”Nah, the real mastermind is Adri. Her lyrics and her voice made the songs much more beautiful,” Jay says.
I blush softly and punch his arm shyly.
”Shut up,” I mutter.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After Jay’s practice, we follow Lonnie to Coach Jenkin’s office.
”There's my favorite captains!” Coach says.
“Oh shush, we know we’re good,” I say with a smirk.
I first bump Lonnie.
”Speaking of Captains, I got word of your schedule changes,” He says, pointing to me and Jay.
”Even though these changes have been made, I still think you’d be able to advise your teams. Especially you, Jay, since Ben is out of action,” Coach explains.
”Are you promoting me?” Jay asks.
”I’m making you Captain of the Tourney team, Jay,” Coach says.
Jay’s jaw drops.
”No way,” Jay says in shock.
“Looks like things are looking up, JJ,” I say with a smile.
Jay’s mouth morphs into a smirk.
”Damn right,” He says.
Coach gives us a soft smile.
”You guys can celebrate or something, but on Monday, I expect you all to adjust,” Coach says.
”Yeah,” We all agree.
Suddenly, the announcements go off.
”Adri Ababwa, please report to Fairy Godmother’s office,” The announcement says.
”Did you get your skateboard taken again?” Jay asks.
”How many times are you gonna get that thing confiscated?” Lonnie asks, rolling her eyes.
”It’s in my locker, chill. I have no idea,” I say, getting up from my seat.
I walk through the door and walk to the office.
I walk into the headmistress’s office and I see Mal and Ben with Fairy Godmother.
”Long time no see,” I say to Ben and Mal.
”Glad you’re here,” Ben says, hugging me.
”We called you here because Mal has a proposal for you,” Fairy Godmother explains.
“Rogers stepped down from his position,” Mal says.
My smile fades. Steve Rogers? Family friend, Avengers, Steve?
”Steve stepped down from Captain? Why?” I ask.
“He and Tony had a dispute after Voltron in Germany. I’ve tried to keep a temporary position since Uma came into the Isle, but we need more troops. I think you’d be the best for it because of your powers and experience. And plus, you're already trusted on the court,” Mal explains.
”Mal, I’d be honored to. But I have to find a way to fit it into my schedule. The only free time I have is around now,” I say.
”So, then you can clock in at 5 and finish at 8,” Ben says.
”It's an intensive training role. You’d pick up recruits, train them, and go to the dungeons,” Ben says.
”Not bad,” I think.
”Fine, I’ll do it,” I say.
”Thank you so much,” Mal says with a smile.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I walk into the base of operations and spot a familiar face. Bucky Barnes, Steve’s best friend, and newest Avenger.
”Hey, metal arm,” I joke.
”Thank god you’re here,” Bucky says, spotting me.
He gives me a side hug.
”What the hell is wrong with Steve?” I ask him.
”Steve doesn’t agree with the new laws set by Rhodes and the Marshall. Since Sokovia, they wanna add restrictions on our powers because of the explosion and because of that telekinesis girl,” Bucky says.
”I mean they did destroy the city too,” I mention.
”The reason for Tony’s nightmares,” Bucky recalls.
”He has nightmares?” I ask.
”Yeah, if Loki ever comes back, he’ll have a malfunction,” Bucky says.
”Let’s hope that his arc reactor surgery saves him,” I say.
Bucky laughs, remembering he doesn’t have a heart.
”Anyways, let me show you around. So, this is the center of the base, here we have our tanks, our fake grenades, our armory, and training center,” Bucky explains.
”And the troops?” I ask.
”I think that’s your job to cause the first commotion,” Bucky says, handing me a grenade.
”Watch this, grandpa,” I say, taking the grenade from his hands.
I toss the grenade into a group of guys.
They all huddle near the grenade trying to cover it and push each other away.
”Hey! What the hell are you sons if bitches doing? If you see an enemy grenade, you take cover!” I yell.
”The hell is this bitch?” One of the guys asks.
”Bitch? I’m not anyone’s bitch, and for the record, I’m your new Captain,” I say.
The troops all mutter and scoff at each other.
”Go home, kid! You’re kidding yourself if you think you’re gonna train us,” Another guy says.
”What’re your names?” I ask the guys.
They both look at me like I’m dumb.
”I’m Jack. This is Lio,” Jack says.
”I’m promoting you,” I say.
They both look at each other in shock.
”Both of you are now my Lieutenants. You’re gonna spend the majority of training by my side. Whoever are Lieutenants, you’re demoted. If there’s anything I know about being a soldier, you’d fight any fight or anyone to make it to the top. As I train each of you, you must be following my direct orders only. I will watch you all carefully and see if any of you demonstrate proper soldiers' skills. That will determine if you are my second in command. New recruits will all be promoted in place of older ones. As long as you keep up with your task, you’re safe. Any bullshit, you’re out, understand?” I say.
”Yes ma’am,” The Troops say.
I grab a sword from a barrel and I throw it at Lio.
”Get to work,” I order.
The troops go to their assigned positions and Lio and Jack come towards me.
”Who the hell are y-“ Lío starts.
”Bro, that's Adri Ababwa,” Jack explains.
”The artist?” Lio asks.
“Yeah, I’m a huge fan and I’m so fucking sorry about the way I acted earlier,” Jack apologizes.
”It’s fine, I don’t take shit personally. At least anymore,” I say.
”Bruh, you called her a bitch,” Lio comments.
”Shut up,” Jack mutters.
”Listen, I can already tell you two are friends. So please make this easy for me and shut the fuck up and listen,” I say honestly.
”You know you remind me a lot of Rogers,” Jack says.
”We’re friends,” I say.
”You’re friends with Steve Rogers?” Lio asks.
”Yes, now listen up. We’re gonna do some tactical work. You’re gonna go through the grass here with your rifles, your gonna shoot three birds and bring them to me. Got it?” I order.
”Yes ma’am,” They say.
They then pick up their rifles and crouch through the grass.
They miss every shot when birds pass by. One of them lands on Lio’s head and he coos the bird. I roll my eyes at his action. Then, Jack shoots two birds at once. My eyes widen at his shot. They fall into the grass and he picks them up. Lio shoots a bird and it falls slowly.
”That's one big bird,” Lio comments.
As it falls to the ground I notice it’s not a bird.
“Are fucking stupid? That’s a human, not a bird!” Jack shouts.
I run quickly under the person and they fall in my arms.
”Angel? Jesus, are you okay?” I realize.
The metal winged man winces in pain. I realize his hip is bleeding.
”Lio, what the hell is wrong with you? You shot him in the ribs,” I say.
I place him in the grass and reach for Jack’s medkit. He hands it to me and I open it up. I take a pair of tweezers and some alcohol.
”Sit still,” I advise.
I pry the bullet from his hip slowly and Angel grits his teeth from the pain. The bullet comes out cleanly and I put alcohol on the wound and wrap it up.
”Can you fly?” I ask him.
”Sure,” Angel says.
He uses his wings to fly up straight.
”Now who the fuck mistook me for a hunting duck?” Angel asks.
Jack points to Lio.
”Come on, man,” Lío says exasperatedly to Jack.
”Terrible shot,” Angel comments.
Then he takes the gun from Lio’s hand and shoots a bird. The shot is clean and the bird falls quickly to the grass.
”That's how you shoot,” Angel says, picking up the bird from the grass.
He’s good. And he’s got those wings too.
“Hey, Angel? You got anything to do after school?” I ask him.
”No,” He scoffs.
”Would you be interested in being a troop?” I ask him.
”What?” Lio and Jack ask.
”Well, I’ve got nothing else to do,” Angel says.
I smirk and pat his shoulder.
Later, I give Angel his new uniform and make him another Lieutenant. We continue tactical shooting until sunset.
I then search the premises of the base and look at the other troops. They whisper and smirk as I pass by. Some troops, practice grenade launching, shooting positions, fencing. I think to myself:
”Maybe this is something Jay would be interested in hearing.”
I smirk to myself as I think about how successful Jay has been so far in his time in Auradon. I walk into the training center and spot Bucky talking to a troop.
”Hey, how was your first day?” Bucky asks.
”Could’ve been better, but it means progress,” I say with a soft smile.
”Good to know you’re a hard hitter instead of a soft princess. Kind of like your mom,” Bucky says.
”Don’t mention me and my mom in the same sentence, you 100-year-old soldier. That’s like putting you and Steve in the same sentence about ice,” I say, rolling my eyes.
”Shut the hell up,” Bucky says punching my arm with his regular fist.
”You ever punch me with your vibranium arm, I will kill you,” I warn.
Bucky laughs and leaves me alone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One day at school, Angel and I decided to sit together at lunch. We talk about training and new things I could teach the troops. As we talk about ammunition I spot Jay talking to Ruby Fitzherberg, Rapunzel’s daughter. I see her pressing upon him and twirling her blonde hair. Jay uncomfortably tries to walk away.
”Oh god,” I say, rolling my eyes.
”God what?” Angel asks me.
”Jay is with Ruby,” I say.
”Ruby? The girl who slept with five guys at once? You better scoop your man before she gets him,” Angel advises.
”How do you know that?” I ask.
”What? I’m gay. Of course, I know,” Angel explains.
My eyes widen at his words.
”Huh?” I ask dumbfoundedly.
”I said what I said, I’m gay,” Angel says.
I blink in confusion and stand up from the bench.
I walk over to Jay and Ruby and sling my arm around his shoulder.
“Hey guys,” I say.
”Adri! Nice to see you after you dealt with Angel in the theatre,” Ruby says.
”You were there? I didn’t see you or hear your annoying voice,” I say with a smirk.
”I was just asking Jay whether or not he likes my new hair,” Ruby says flirtatiously towards Jay, ignoring my words.
”Um, it looks the same,” I say.
”That’s what I said,” Jay agrees.
”Come on, I cut it 4 inches!” Ruby says playfully hitting Jay’s arm.
”Excuse me, can you not put your hands on him?” I ask her.
”Why not?” Ruby asks.
”It’s super clear that he’s uncomfortable,” I say.
”No he’s not,” Ruby replies bitterly.
Ruby turns to Jay.
”Adri, can we go?” Jay asks.
”Gladly,” I say through gritted teeth.
I grab Jay’s arm and we walk back to my table.
”Who’s this?” Jay asks, seeing Angel.
”This is Lieutenant Angel, the guy Ruby was talking about,” I say.
”Jay. Jay Farr, I’ve heard quite a bit about you from Adri,” Jay says.
”I’ve heard a lot about you too,” Angel says.
”Anyways, you saw what I saw right?” I ask Angel.
”Um, obviously. Ruby has absolutely no self-control. Hey, I’m gay by the way and if you ever and I mean EVER dump her, you’re either getting a Louboutin heel to the face or a date with me,” Angel says.
I scoff at his remarks.
”What? He’s hot,” Angel compliments.
”Thanks, man but I have plans with this girl so...no thanks,” Jay says, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
”Like I was saying, Ruby thinks she is all preppy and cool when she’s totally out of line for that shit,” I say to Angel.
”What did she do exactly?” Jay asks, peeking in the conversation.
”She was flirting with you- anyways I try to be sane one...”
”And you’re complaining why?” Jay asks in between my words.
Angel snickers to himself. I glare at Jay.
”You. Are. Mine. End of story,” I say through gritted teeth.
Jay laughs to himself after I speak.
“Jeez, you’re jealous! I didn’t actually think you’d slide into the conversation because of that,” Jay laughs.
”With your tendencies, it was so obvious that you were uncomfortable but when I walked over you played into it! It was so clear,” I say frustratedly.
Jay continues to laugh at my responses. I look over at Angel and rolls his eyes.
”She feels like your toying with her and she doesn’t like it,” Angel blurts out.
Jay stops laughing and his smile drops. He turns to see me.
I play with the underside of my nail, trying not to look at Jay.
”Is that true?” Jay asks.
”I don’t know. Maybe I just feel like at any moment you could be suddenly interested in some other girl who’s better than I am,” I mutter.
Jay puts a hand on my thigh and I turn to face him.
”Baby, why would I make plans with you if I didn’t love you or care about you enough to stay with you?” Jay asks.
I blush lightly and shrug.
”It’s because I think your worth every minute of my life,” Jay says sincerely.
I smile softly and I kiss his cheek.
”That's cute,” Angel says.
”Shut up,” I giggle.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A month later,
”Tell me something, boy. Aren’t you tired try to- Fuck what rhymes with that?” I sing, stopping mid-way to think.
”Void?” Stefani suggests.
”Damn it, why is it so hard to write a love song without having the word love in it?” I ask exasperatedly.
”Cause it’s impossible?” Jay suggests.
”It is possible. We’ve just got two weeks to figure it out,” Stefani says, sitting back down in her chair.
Jay puts out his hand for me to pass him the guitar.
”How about we just repeat a couple of lines?” Jay says, receiving the guitar.
“Tell me something, boy, aren’t you tired of trying to fill that void?
or do you need more?” He starts.
”Aint it hard keeping it so hardcore?”  Stefani finishes.
”Yes! That’s it,” I say, writing it down.
We’re about to finish the last song of the motion picture and we’re almost done. But the lyrics keep falling apart.
”Maybe Bradley should just come in here and help us,” I suggest.
We call in Stefani’s co-star, Bradley and he sits.
”What’s the dilemma?” He asks.
”We need more ears. So, how about it?” Jay asks.
Jay hands Bradley the guitar.
”Shit, I’ve only been in classes for a month,” Bradley hesitates.
”You can do it,” Stefani says confidently.
youtu.be/MUX4ZWkDS-s
Bradley starts to strum the chords of the song. I hand Stefani our brainstorm journal and they both look at our lyrics.
They sing the parts of the song effortlessly. At one part, Stefani improvises and nails the part.
They finish and Jay and I clap.
”That was movie magic at its finest! Now, let’s record it, mix it, and then off we go,” I say.
We all get up from our seats to start working on our parts.
Jay and I lay down the mixing and Bradley and Stefani record. And just for fun, Stefani plays a piano version and we end up recording that too.
Later that night, we come home absolutely exhausted.
I plop onto my dorm room bed and sigh. I look up at my ceiling and see the moonlight peeking through my curtain. The bed sinks and I turn to see Jay lying there next to me, looking at the curtains.
”Long days at work, huh?” Jay asks me.
”I took off training to do that, so, yes,” I say.
We both paused in silence for a minute.
”Hey,” Jay speaks up.
”Yeah?”
”Do you think we’ll get nominated for anything?” Jay asks.
”Probably,” I say, thinking out loud.
”You know. I’m glad you asked me to start making music with you. It’s like something I can remember about you...like our own special thing, you know?” Jay says.
”Yeah. By the way, Stefani was the one who asked for you. Not me,” I say.
”Really? I didn’t think that would ever happen,” Jay says in surprise.
I chuckle at his reaction. I turn to my side and wrap my arm around his body. He does the same, pulling me closer to his chest by gripping my waist.
”Baby, where do you see us in the next year?” Jay asks.
I furrow my brows in confusion.
”I mean. Do you think we’ll be together after senior year next year?” Jay asks.
”I mean, we’ve had no problems with our career schedules so far. Sure we had the situation with Lonnie but luckily I’m that wasn’t real,” I say.
Jay laughs at my recollection.
”I’m sorry for that,” Jay chuckles.
”I know. Anyways, I actually believe we could be traveling, making songs, doing couples interviews and photoshoots, and maybe I can have you come to Agrabah and convince my parents to help us get married?” I suggest.
”Married? You wanna marry me?” Jay asks.
”I mean, we need a new heir in the bloodline. And I don’t think Aziz wants to settle down or rule the kingdom yet,” I say.
Jay chuckles to himself for a minute. He scoops down and places a kiss on my forehead.
”Why can’t we do that now then?” Jay asks.
My eyes widen at his words. I blink twice adjusting to his reaction.
”You wanna do all that now?” I ask him.
”Why not? If that means I get to spend the rest of my life with your crazy ass? Definitely,” Jay agrees.
A smile morphs on my face and I jump up to get my phone.
I dial my mom’s number.
”Ma, it’s Adri. We’ve gotta make some plans...”
Thievery and Mischief- (a descendants/marvel crossover)
Tumblr media
1 month later, me and Jay officially public! Which took extreme relief off my chest obviously. Everyone in my interviews constantly asks me about Jay and our relationship. Questions like: How do you spend time with him? What is he like with you? What are some cute things he does for you? Where have you gone together? So on and so forth.
To be very honest, it’s intimidating knowing that we were destined to be enemies and suddenly fall for each other  AND try to keep it private. It’s super taboo among all the royals; Heroes and Villains hooking up and dating. Anyways, enough about that.
Among all the chaos of being a celebrity, I decided to mix some music and release an album. So, I usually head to the AV club to record.
While I’m writing some of my lyrics, I think of a beat to lay down. But then I remember that my producer, Yoongi is at interviews with Namjoon and the rest of the boys. Suddenly, almost like the gods above heard my thoughts, Jay walks in.
”I knew you’d be in here,” Jay says, opening the door and seeing me in the booth.
”I’m always here now,” I say with a smile.
He walks over and plants a kiss on my cheek.
”What’re you working on this time?” Jay asks.
”This damn album. I have a couple of songs done already with Yoongi and Joon but we had to pull some things. Drafts, in other words. So, now I have to fill those in with songs from scratch,” I say.
”Ah, I see. So then, what’s the theme of the album?” Jay asks.
”Unrequited love. So like cheating, fantasies, and low-key bad bitch energies,” I describe.
He chuckles at my description and takes my sketchbook from my hands.
”Hmm, unrequited love. That song you first showed me a while ago should work. And...how about this one? Fools? Never seen this one,” Jay says, stumbling on one of my pages.
”That song...I wrote when I saw Chad’s DMS. I wrote it in like...five minutes,” I note.
Jay’s eyes widened, impressed by my quick songwriting skills.
”Well then, we should put it on a beat,” Jay says, getting up to sit in the producers' deck.
”What’re you doing?” I ask, through the mic.
”I’ll whip something up for you, we’ll work on it if you want, put your vocals on it and we’d be done in like 20 minutes,” Jay explains.
”I have to record 4 songs,” I add, furrowing my brows.
”Bet, we’ll be done in 2 hours,” Jay says.
I roll my eyes at his antics.
I listen through my headphones and hear the different beats being mixed. The bass, the melody, the dynamics of the drums with the SFX.
I watch as he grabs an electric guitar and strums a couple of chords. I laugh as he catches me staring at him. His eyes focus on the strings of the guitar as he strums. Then, he switches back to the monitors, adjusting the bpm and tuning the guitar recording. I watch as he bites his tongue and furrows his brows as he focuses on the monitor in front of him.
He turns to me and presses the listen button.
”I’m done! Just listen to it,” He says.
He presses play and I hear some tropical whistles at the beginning leading to a synth beat. It’s a very head bop vibe, like a road trip song. I hear his guitar in the back very faintly behind the synth. Then a pause until the smoother synth emerges. My head hops along to the beat of the track. I look at him and smile through the booth window. He winks in pride as he sees me enjoying the song.
Then, it finishes.
”I think I’d like to lay some vocals down,” I say into the mic.
”Woah there, not too hasty. We gotta establish a melody first,” Jay says with a smirk.
I laugh and leave the booth, I join him by the desk with my book ready in hand.
We listen to the track over and over again. Figuring out what notes to hit, figuring out the tones, dynamics, and rhythms my voice is going to establish. While I’m humming along to the track, Jay suddenly stops it.
”I think you should start recording,” Jay suggests.
A nervous blush crosses my face.
”But we still have to figure out the backup and effects and-“
He covers my nervousness by kissing my lips. He lays a sweet and loving kiss on my lips and pulls away once I’m relaxed.
”Baby, you’ll be perfect. We’re gonna get these songs done, you’re gonna get this album done, you’re gonna get all the awards for this album and you’re gonna be a superstar. And don’t worry about me, because I’m gonna be right here when you do, okay?” Jay assures, staring into my hazel eyes with deep appreciation.
I nod, taking in his words.
He smiles and kisses my cheek.
”Get in that booth and knock 'em dead,” Jay says with a kind smile.
I get up from my seat and I walk back into the booth. I put on my headphones and take a breath.
”Let’s go,” I say to Jay, telling him to run the track.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
youtu.be/eY_eqNHguwg
After 2 takes of recording, we finished the track. We listen back to it a couple of times and adjust the tone of my vocals and the effects. I focus on the beat in the back to see if my voice lines up...and it’s super good.
"And who the hell taught you how to be such a good mixer?" I ask Jay.
He laughs at my question, "You don't have to know" Jay says as he stares at the monitor, saving the document and uploading it to the zip file of songs. I glare at him and he sighs.
"To be very honest, I learned through parties. On the Isle, we used to sneak out at midnight and go to Hades's lair to listen to music, do graffiti, and party. My dad would always fall asleep trying to keep an eye on me but I would always try to sneak out and go to those parties just to sit and watch from the DJ booth," Jay says.
"So you picked it up like a hobby?" I ask.
"Yeah, kind of," Jay agrees.
"You should really invest in this," I suggest.
He stares at me dumbfoundedly.
'Yeah, right. I'd rather be a Tourney coach in the future than selling music, I'm better at it, and plus, I'd rather have an all-exclusive contract with you so we can keep doing this," Jay says.
I laugh at his little joke about contracts.
"Anyways, we've got 3 more songs to record," I add.
"No problem, just give me the lyrics for it and I'll be done in a couple of minutes," Jay says, extending a hand to my sketchbook," Jay says.
I hesitantly pulled the book closer to my chest.
"Come on. I need material to work with. If we're gonna work together, you need to trust me," Jay says.
I hesitantly hand him my sketchbook and he takes it in his hands. He flips through the pages of the book past my art and gets to my lyric pages. He picks the ones he likes and focuses his attention back on the monitor.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eventually, we finish recording the songs and we listen back to them. They're all perfect in my eyes and we send them to the zip file.
"Babe, thanks for helping me out with this, I couldn't have done this without your help," I say to Jay.
"Of course, Adri. I know how hard you work to do this stuff, and if you ever need any help just please ask," jay says.
I stare at him and smile. He looks back at me with admiration in his eyes. Then, he leans in to kiss me. I kiss back and our lips enter a passionate tango. To deepen the kiss, I stand and sit over his lap, straddling him in his seat. He wraps his arms around my waist and his hands graze over my body. But before we can progress, my phone starts to buzz in my back pocket. I pull away from the kiss and scoff.
"I'm gonna assume that's Katie," Jay asks.
I take my phone and of my pocket and nod. I answer the phone.
"Hello?"
"Adri, pack your things. You've got a tour to prep for," Katie says through the phone.
My eyes widen at her words.
"Tour? We got approved by every venue?" I ask her, emotion building in my voice.
"Every single one," She says excitedly through the phone.
I pause for a second a smile emerges on my face. I turn to see Jay's reaction and he stares at my frame with a big smile on his face.
"That's perfect! And right on time too. I just finished up the album in the studio," I say happily.
"Awesome! So then we just have to send it through the admins and copyright and then you can start prepping the choreo for the concert," Katie says.
"Of course! And thank you for telling me this," I say before hanging up the phone.
I turn slowly and see Jay waiting for me to speak.
"I just got approved for a tour," I say out loud.
Jay lifts off from his seat and hugs me tightly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After a month of preparation, we finally have a full-fledged tour with a newly released album and headliners! It was a big decision but I had decided to have Brendon's band, Panic! At the Disco, headline my tour. How could I not have one of my favorite artists on this planet headline for me? Anyways, the album has been a huge success for me. My single, "Home with You," has been on the Billboard Chart for 2 weeks straight! This debut has been an enormous success for my career so far, surprisingly my mom was even happy with the album too. Now, the day had arrived, the first leg of the tour. My debut.
I walk down the halls of the large stadium, watching as Panic's drum set is hauled down the hall, I feel butterflies enter my stomach. I walk towards Brendon's dressing room and walk through the door.
"There's my favorite girl!" Brendon says with a smile as he works on his iconic hair.
He puts down a bottle of hairspray and comes over to hug me.
"You know, the fact that you're here makes everything so much better," I say.
Brendon laughs at my comment.
"It's your first tour! I remember my first tour, I was your age, I was living out of my car with the band, and I had just left Vegas. I thought we were failures. But you, you are definitely not a failure. You are a boss! You've got talent, kid. Now, go and show it," He says, reassuring me.
Before I can respond, the door opens to Mike, the guitar player for Brendon's band.
"Yo, we gotta start tuning up," Mike says.
I turn to Brendon and give him a smile.
"Thanks, I needed that," I say.
He pats my shoulder and we start to file out to the hall. As we walk down the hall, the crew moves all the set pieces to the stage. Behind a crate, I see a familiar person. Then, suddenly my heart drops.
Hayley.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was 14 when I had my first kiss. But it wasn't Chad who gave it to me. It was Hayley Red. Daughter of Red Riding Hood. Absolutely badass, funny, adventurous. She was someone who made me really question myself as a whole.
There was always something about her that was alluring. Her eyes, her clothing, her personality. I was so keen on trying to figure out what made me so attracted to her. Then, when I met Chad I realized that my feelings for her weren't normal. After that damn party with the " situation," I had a feeling. A feeling that would change me.
She was the person I wanted to run to. So I did.
She comforted me, something I didn't think she would do since she always had this tough exterior all the time. She was the one who made me feel safe when everything in my life fell apart. She was the one who told Lonnie to take care of me. Hayley was someone who loved me unconditionally. One day she had to leave and eventually, we stopped talking after I fell into depression, Lonnie likes to remind me that her departure was what got my depression much worse.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, absolutely glued to the floor. I realize that Brendon is now standing in front of her, speaking to her. My heart sinks into my stomach suddenly as she realizes that I'm staring at her.
"Adri?" She calls from across the room.
My legs start to walk towards her unconsciously.
"Hi, Hayley," I say softly.
"You two know each other," Brendon assumes.
"Of course, she was my first girlfriend," Hayley comments.
Brendon's eyes widen.
"Oh shit," Brendon says.
Hayley looks at my frame up and down.
"You've changed so much since then," Hayley chuckles through a smile.
"You have no idea how much happened for me to get here," I say.
"Hell yeah, I mean you've got this sick venue, you were a royal advisor, your album is currently number one. I'm sure there's been a lot," Hayley says.
Suddenly, I feel arms snake around my waist and I roll my eyes.
'Jay, stop it," I say awkwardly as Jay grips my hips.
"What? I can't help it that I love you," Jay says cheekily.
I pulls his hands from my waist.
"Hayley, this is my boyfriend, Jay," I say.
Hayley blushes softly and extends her hand.
"Shit, man. It is so great to meet you. Honestly, I didn't think she'd have a boyfriend after Chad," Hayley says cheekily.
I scoff at her comment and watch as Jay shakes her hand.
"I didn't think I'd be her boyfriend after Chad either, but I guess I'm just lucky," Jay tells her.
I roll my eyes at his words.
"So how do you know Adri?" Jay asks.
I blush heavily after he asks this, Hayley looks at my face and laughs.
"We're exes, but it's all chill now," Hayley comments.
Jay's eyes widen softly and he turns to me. "Shit, I'm sorry if this is kind of awkward," Jay says to me.
"You just realized?" I say through gritted teeth.
"Don't worry, it's all cool. Plus, she's a cool girl, and if she thinks she's found someone who makes her as happy as she deserves, I've got no problems," Hayley says honestly.
My brows furrow at the situation, Hayley stands next to Jay confidently and they watch for my reaction.
The speaker suddenly reminds the band that they have 5 minutes until the show starts. Brendon excuses himself, reminding us that he's been standing there. He winks at me and I roll my eyes at his action.
"Hey, can we talk?" Hayley says, tapping my arm.
I nod and I follow her into a dressing room. She closes the door and I stand by the wall.
"Fuck, I am so sorry for not texting or calling you after so long," Hayley says in relief.
My eyes widen at her sudden sigh.
"Lonnie keeps reminding me about you," I say.
"Of course she does. So, tell me. What've you been up to since then?" Hayley asks.
I gulp.
"If you don't wanna talk about it, it's fine," Hayley says, grabbing an apple from a fruit basket in the corner of the room.
"No, It's okay. So...after you left, I went into self-quarantine. I did classes in my dorm room. I had an eating disorder. I started having anxiety, so I got a relief pet. A tiger named Roxie," I start.
"So, was Sophomore year just a relief period?" Hayley asks, taking a bite of her apple.
"Yeah. Lonnie would check on me all the time, bring me lunch, talk to my brother about my health. Go to doctor's appointments, go to therapy, and by the summer I was fine. I started getting my friends back, reconnecting with my hobbies, I met people from the business, I started joining clubs, skating, and then by the start of this year, everything was pretty much normal...until Chad's restraining order expired. He started talking shit again and trying to intimidate me with his toxic masculinity. But then, Jay showed up and stood up to him for me. Then, we started doing things together and talking. Kind of like how we did, and then he started flirting a little more heavily than his regular playboy attitude and he asked me out with help of my brother and his friends. And we've been dating since then," I explain.
Hayley digests my information while biting her apple.
"Shit, man. Depression really can fuck you up like that. And you made music on top of that? And did school? That's badass. I'm actually proud," Hayley says.
I smile at her comment.
"That means a lot coming from you," I say softly.
"You know, I actually had a rough period myself. The reason I left was actually was because my grandpa had died. His death affected me a lot. Then, my mom found out about you and that I was lesbian, so she forced me to leave. She tried so hard to make me lose all that I had already established for myself. And on top of that, I had to be strong. It's tough. That's why I'm quite proud that you're doing so well after that. Me, I'm still a train-wreck," Hayley explains.
We continue our conversation later into the night, leading up to my performance, catching up like old friends.

Thievery and Mischief- (a descendants/marvel crossover)
Tumblr media
(song)
The next day, I make calls to cancel everything for that week of cotillion.
“He did what?!” Aziz says through the phone.
”Then he slammed the door and told me not to come looking for him. I knew I should’ve taken a break,” I sob.
”But...Lonnie. She would never do that willingly,” Aziz says.
”You t-think he manipulated h-her?” I ask.
”I don’t know. But they both love you a lot. I don’t know why they would ever do this to you,” Aziz says.
”I’m gonna go to lunch, okay?” I say, sniffling.
”I’ll see you later,” I say.
Later, I see the core four return with Ben safely. Dude follows behind them and I see his mouth move.
”He talks,” I assume, thinking to myself.
Suddenly, Jane appears in front of me.
“Hey, Adri! I need your help desperately,” Jane says.
”What’s up?” I ask.
”I need help loading the items onto the yacht, and your strength will be super helpful,” Jane squeaks.
I nod in agreement.
”I’ll call you later for the deets, okay?” Jane says.
”Yeah,” I say, Jane walks away.
My eyes meet with Jay’s brown ones. Next to him, Lonnie stares at me and she lets go of his hand. Are they guilty?
I see Mal with her purple hair now returned as opposed to her usual blonde. I watch Ben go up to kiss her and Mal getting uncomfortable.
Somethings wrong. But that is none of my business.
I head to lunch and I sit alone. Arabella is too busy with the royals to sit with me. The core four and Lonnie and Ben sit together at one awkward table. I look around and everyone stares as the celebrity that everyone adores sits alone. Audrey and her goons snicker as they stare at me and Lonnie and Jay glare as they catch my gaze. Tears well up in my eyes again as I eat my lunch.
From the corner of my eye, I see Logan appear again.
”Don’t you have lunch next period?” I ask him.
”Yes but, I wanted to give you an idea. Since I’m the king of pranks I was wondering if-“
”I’m not gonna do a stupid prank, you idiot,” I grumble.
”No! We should be a fake couple at cotillion. Make believe we are dating so that Jay feels guilty about all the shit he said and Lonnie can be available for Aziz,” Logan says.
My head perks up at the sound of my brother’s name.
”How did you know about Aziz?” I ask him, now interested.
Logan smirks.
”Only if you agree,” Logan assures.
”I’m all ears,” I say with a smirk.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The night comes around sooner than later, Cotillion! Where the King assures his courtship with his Queen at their first party. Evie comes to my room to deliver my dress.
”Hey, Adri,” She greets shyly.
”Hi,” I say shortly, continuing my makeup.
”I know about Jay,” She says.
i stop and I huff. Tears start to fall down my cheeks even at the mention of his name. She walks towards me and hugs me.
”Can I tell you something about him?” Evie asks me.
I nod.
”When I first met him, he was such an ass. Totally cheeky and used to tease me because I was naïve even if I was pretty. He told me that looks never mattered to him. That it was the intelligence and passion that made a woman. And you, have the brains and the beauty, Adri. You are one hell of a woman. You love him even when doesn’t even notice. You support him even if you’re not there. He doesn’t realize that the person he claims can be with him, is you. You mean so much to him. It’s so crazy how much he’s changed because of what you’ve done for him. And no other girl can ever do what you do Adri. Because you work your ass off so that you can give him the life you both deserve,” Evie rants.
I wipe the tears from my eyes and smile.
”I thought no one cared,” I say.
”Of course I care. You helped me with Chad, I help you with Jay,” Evie says.
i laugh recalling our moment.
”Now show that stupid bitch was he’s missing,” Evie says, handing me my dress.
I laugh and go to my bathroom to change.
i get to the ship early and help Jane over the phone load the items. Over the phone, I hear Carlos ask her to Cotillion and I smile.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AN: I'M GONNA EXPLAIN THIS QUICKLY. DURING THE SCENES IN D2, JAY STARES AT ADRI AS SHE WALKS WITH LOGAN. ADRI DOESN'T SPEAK WITH THE PRESS. MAL AND BEN HAVE THEIR MOMENT WITH UMA AND THE BATTLE HAPPENS. EVERYONE PARTIES IN THE WATER-FILLED YACHT.
I stand and stare out at the water. Uma. Daughter of Ursula. I remember seeing her face. While I’m lost in my train of thought someone approaches my side.
”Logan left you all alone on the dance floor, huh?” Jay says, now standing beside me.
”Looks like I didn’t have to look for you at all,” I scoff.
Jay sighs.
”Guess what?” Jay asks.
”What?” I ask, groaning.
“I know exactly what you’re trying to do,” Jay says.
”Do you?” I ask, raising a brow.
Jay grabs me by my waist and I try to break free of his grasp. I struggle as he tightly grips my waist.
”You and I aren’t going anywhere, baby,” He whispers.
Huh?
”Huh?” I ask.
Jay laughs softly. The first time I’ve seen a smile from him in a while.
“Surprise!” Lonnie says, appearing behind him. Aziz stand sneaked and her and from the corner of my eye, I see Evie and Carlos laughing.
”YOU?” I say in realization.
They had the same plan as me. To get me jealous, Lonnie and Jay acted like they were dating to get me to notice.
”I CRIED FOR THREE DAYS BECAUSE OF NOTHING? YOU MADE ME WATCH TITANIC A HUNDRED TIMES TILL I FELL ASLEEP CRYING WHILE EATING A TUB OF ICE CREAM?” I yell.
”What? Baby, I didn’t know you’d get that emotional,” Jay laughs.
”I LOVED YOU! I YELLED AT YOU AND YOU MADE ME CRY. YOU ASSHOLE!” I yell.
Jay's eyes widen as he stares me down. My tiger form starts to morph and I smirk. I go completely tiger mode and I chase him across the deck.
I catch up to him, pouncing on him.
”Babe, please don’t kill me! It was a joke! I swear!” Jay says.
”Next time, it better not be a joke,” I growl in my tiger form. I switch out of my form and return to being human. Spectators around me watch in admiration at my shapeshifting.
I get off of him and we both stand up.
”Did I really make you cry for three days?” He teases.
”Shut up,” I muttered, slapping his arm.
”Ay! That hurt,” Jay says.
I laugh as he winces in pain.
youtu.be/QMP-o8WXSPM
“Hey, you wanna dance?” Jay asks.
”After you literally gave me a heart attack for 3 days straight, yelled at me, and made me tackle you, you wanna dance?” I ask.
”Sure, you are my girlfriend, right?” Jay asks.
”Girlfriend? I thought Jay cheated,” Jordan says, raising a brow.
”Listen, cuz. You can take this to the show right now. Start rolling these damn cameras,” I say.
Jordan tells her camera crew to start rolling.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, Jordan Genie here with breaking news! Adri Ababwa confirms her boyfriend. I’m here with her now at the Royal Cotillion. Why have you chosen not to speak to the press lately?” Jordan asks.
”I decided that now was the right time in my career to open up a little more and start to realize what things make me happy and that I should be selfishly ashamed of. So, I believe that my fans deserve to know that I am deeply in love with Jay Farr, my boyfriend of 5 months,” I say with a smile.
”Jay, how do you feel that your girlfriend decided to reveal this information at last?” Jordan asks.
”I’m proud of her actually. We had an experience in our relationship that tested how much we loved each other and how far we were willing to go to show other people how protective we are of what we have together and what I found was that she is such a bright girl with a big heart and I couldn’t ask for more than that,” Jay says sweetly.
”And what have you learned about Jay from your experience as a couple, Adri?” Jordan asks.
”I’ve learned that this man is so shy compared to his hard exterior and that he wants nothing but for me to be happy even when I’m working so hard and stressed out of my mind over these events and planning,” I say.
”Thank you for this update, you guys. Have a good night y’all!” Jordan says, signing off. The cameras cut and I sigh in relief.
”We’ll upload that now. It was perfect,” Jordan says.
Jay takes my hands and we start dancing slowly. We sway to the beat of the music and our group looks on. Jay turns me and I land in his chest.
”I’m so glad I got to take everything off my chest about you. You work so hard, babe. You deserve to not have that much pressure,” Jay says.
”At least the press can finally take pictures of our romantic moments,” I joke.
”Hey, does that mean I can kiss you now?” Jay asks.
”Sure you can, handsome,” I say grabbing his collar.
He pulls me by my waist and kisses me passionately.
”Hey! Save some of that for the bedroom,” Mal says, heading towards us.
”Long time no see Lady Mal,” I say.
”Princess Adri, it is a pleasure,” Mal jokes.
We laugh in unison.
”Hello possessive girlfriend, Adri!” Ben greets.
”Shut up, crown boxers,” I say with a smirk.
Mal laughs at my joke and the group looks at us confused.
”How do you know what his underwear looks like?” Carlos asks.
”We’re childhood friends, these are things we just know,” Lonnie says, coming up to us.
”Including that you can be a bitch when you’re cheeky,” I say through gritted teeth.
”Hey, I would never steal your man. You are so in love with him. Besides, I have my sights set on someone else,” Lonnie shrugs.
“And who would that be?” Someone says from behind us.
Aziz strides towards Lonnie and she blushes.
”Someone,” Lonnie says shyly.
”You look a little light-headed, sis. You good?” Aziz jokes.
”Hold on, you knew?“ I ask, surprised.
”I warned you,” Aziz says.
I roll my eyes.
”Hold on, how many people knew?” I ask.
Let's just say everyone was in on it.

Thievery and Mischief- (a descendants/marvel crossover)
Tumblr media
4 months later...
“Adri!” The paparazzi scream as I try and make my way through the entrance of the school.
”Please give us any updates!” The reporters ask.
I get a text from my publicist with a couple of notes.
”The rumors are absolutely true, I am permanently leaving my position as advisor to focus on my creative career and college preparations. For now, I am wrapping up a couple of projects and I have many collaborations in the works. We are planning many different events including photoshoots, meet and greets, and festivals. If you have any more questions I am gladly open to interviews through my management,” I say through the microphones of the reporters.
Fairy Godmother waits for me at the door as I push through.
”It’s too early for this,” I say tiredly taking off my sunglasses.
”I know darling,” Fairy Godmother.
She hands me my skateboard and I laugh.
”You truly are a Fairy Godmother,” I snicker.
She smiles and I love my board on the ground, speeding off into the school. I ride my board into the courtyard where everyone hangs out.
Some students wave at me as I pass through the spring grass. Once I reach the tree I hop off. Under the tree, Jay, Carlos, Lonnie, and Arabella wait for me.
”The press back again?” Carlos asks.
”This is exactly why I didn’t want you a part of this,” I groan, sitting down in the grass next to Jay. He plants a sweet kiss on my cheek and wraps an arm around me.
”How you doing, mama?” Jay asks.
”Stressed. I’ve got to coach cheer this afternoon, do my fitting tomorrow for Mal’s cotillion, do a radio show on Thursday, and do the culture fest on Friday,” I rant.
”Tough being a celebrity, huh?” Arabella asks.
Ah yes, to get you up to speed...
My music started taking off after I was being promoted by several influencers. I started making snippets of music and posting my graffiti on my social media and it picked up TONS of views. Call me crazy but I like to think I’m an overnight sensation. The press hounds me every day for updates on the album I promised at the coronation and about my government work.
”Definitely, which is why I didn’t want me and Jay to be public yet,” I say.
”Come on, don’t you think it’s time?” Jay pleads.
”Jay, I cant. I’ve got too much on my plate, leaving Ben’s side and transitioning schedules and having more things to fill my time is absolutely taking me over. I TOLD you the press would hound you and look at what’s going on, they’re doing exactly that,” I say.
”Whatever,” Jay says rolling his eyes.
Jay constantly begs for us to go public every day. We hang out pretty much every day since we’ve started dating in secret. I visit him after his Tourney and Fencing practices, he watches me coach cheer, and we have movie nights every weekend. We do small things to show PDA like notes in our lockers and holding hands and small pecks on the cheek (and neck sometimes :) ) but never anything too big because of the press.
”Listen, why don’t you just spread everything out across your week?” Lonnie asks.
”I try but there’s just so much. Like performances, award shows, conferences, tours,” I start.
”Tour? Your gonna go on tour?” Jay asks with wide eyes.
”My fans have been begging me to do one so it’s in the works,” I say.
Jay stares at me disappointingly and I gulp.
The bell rings and I pack my stuff up.
I head to my locker to get my sketchbook and Biology book as usual and Jay follows me.
”So then what’re your plans for cotillion?” Jay asks.
”I don’t even know if I’m sure I’ll go. I’m just so stressed that I can’t find any time to do things,” I sigh.
”Is there any way I can help with that?” Jay whispers flirtatiously, pressing his lips on my neck. I push him off lightly with my hand.
”Jay, you know I can’t do this. I have to focus on my career right now. I’ll see you in Bio,” I say sincerely to him.
I kiss his cheek softly and close my locker, turning to head to art.
I look behind me and see him beside Carlos, heading down the steps while waving to the girls who try and flirt with him. I sigh softly, I really wish I didn’t have to all these things so I can be with him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Later, Jane, Arabella, and I head to the gym to watch the boys fence. I walk up to the balcony with the girls, and we watch from above. Jay scouts me through the people in the gym and winks towards me.
”Alright boys, let's line it up!” Jay orders the team.
”Tensions have risen, don’t you think?” Arabella points out.
”What? No,” I scoff.
”Lemme guess, you didn’t talk?” Jane asks.
”Well, he tried to ‘help me’ destress but he knows about how I feel about the press and all that,” I say.
”Don’t you think that’s a little selfish?” Arabella asks.
I think about it for a minute.
”Maybe,” I say.
”I think you should apologize to him, that should usually work,” Jane says.
I nod in agreement. The boys start fencing but one member particularly stands out. They challenge Jay to a duel and all the other boys step aside. Jay’s eyes are focused deeply on this person as he swings his sword. He loses it during the fight and when the match is lost the person takes off their mask...
”Hey, it’s Lonnie!” Jane exclaims.
The audience claps.
”Not bad,” Jay compliments.
”You should put me in the team,” Lonnie replies with a smile.
Then, Chad interrupts.
oh god.
”What? No way- we’ll be the laughing stock of the league. What’s next, we put girls on the Tourney team? Come on, guys,” Chad disagrees.
”Why not, I bet I can tackle your ass any day,” I interject.
Lonnie smirks at my comment.
”So?” Jay assumes.
”So...have you not read the rule book? Chapter 3, paragraph 9, 11-4, 'a team will be comprised of a captain and 8 MEN,” Chad accentuates.
”But you’re down a man! Ben, ever since he started doing that king-stuff!” Lonnie stutters.
“Yeah, we are down a man,” Chad says.
”Sorry, but coach trusts me and I’m not gonna be captain if I just throw out the rule book,” Jay says.
”If my mother thought that way, she would’ve lost the war,” Lonnie huffs.
Chad scoffs and taunts her with the book.
I roll my eyes as the last bell of the day rings.
What the hell is wrong with him? There’s nothing wrong with girls on the team! And to especially say that to Lonnie, is also an offense to me.
Later, I wait for Jay at the front of the gym for a little bit. Getting concerned, I ask Carlos where he is.
”I think he left already, by the way, what are you doing for cotillion?” Carlos asks.
”I don’t even know if I’ll go. I need to clear my schedule first and see if Jay will ask me,” I say.
”Um- Jay told me that he’s not gonna ask anyone,” Carlos says shyly.
What?
”What? He did?” I ask.
”I guess,” Carlos says.
”Can you walk me back to my dorm?” I ask.
”Yeah, sure,” Carlos smiles.
We walk towards the end of the halls and see Jay and Lonnie talking.
”No, it’s fine. I get it. And plus cotillion is coming up so I don’t wanna freak you out with stuff while you're with Adri,” Lonnie says.
”Who said I was going with Adri?” Jay responds.
Carlos puts his arm in front of me, stopping me in my tracks.
”Listen,” Carlos whispers.
”She’s your girlfriend, why not?” Lonnie asks.
”Shes...always working. I try and act like everything with her is fine but it’s like she’s almost never there. She tries to come and support but she’s always taking calls or messages about work. I just want a girl who’s gonna to have the balance of work and fun at once. She’s all over the place and I just...I don’t know if it’s good for her to go to Cotillion with me,” Jay says to Lonnie.
I feel my eyes widen at his words and Carlos turns to me concerned. I feel the air grow thick and my throat tighten as my face gets hot. I start to walk the other way, leaving Carlos by himself.
I walk to the courtyard and sit under my gossip tree. I hide my head in my shirt and start to cry. I gasp and whimper as I sob under the tree, my shirt now stained with my salty tears. The emotion goes over me like a huge wave. Does he not trust me anymore?
”Adri? Are you okay?” A familiar voice asks.
I take my head out of my shirt and see Logan standing in front of me.
I shake my head no.
He sits beside me and rests my arm on his shoulder.
“Hey, what’s wrong? If Jay did something to you, I’ll kick his ass,” Logan offers.
”No. I-I just...I’m w-worried,” I say through breaths.
”Worried about what?” Logan asks.
”That I’m working too hard and not being there enough for Jay,” I say.
”Hey,” Logan starts.
I look at him.
”You are such a supportive girlfriend. You may be going through a rough patch right now but he has to understand the pressure you're going through is hard for any Royal,” Logan says.
”I’m afraid that he won’t understand though,” I say.
”He will,” Logan assures.
Logan wraps his arms around me in a hug. He walks me to my dorm.
”If you need absolutely anything, just knock,” Logan says as I reach my room.
I open the door and before I can start to cry again, I jumó as I see Evie in the middle of my room.
”There you are! You ready for your fitting?” Evie asks.
“Sure...” I say shyly.
”Is something wrong?” Evie asks kindly.
”Just tired,” I lie.
Evie sighs and escorts me to the rack of dresses.
”Whatever it is, this will make you better,” Evie points out.
I smile softly and she starts to work her magic in me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After my interview, I remember Jay wraps up practice at the time so I head to the gym.
I get a call from my manager, Katie, Doc’s daughter, as I walk to the gym.
”Hey, Katie. What’s up?” I ask.
”Check your socials,” Katie advises.
I put her on speaker and check my social media. Trending, headlines; ADRI WITH NEW BOYFRIEND?!
My eyes widen at the headline. I scroll down and find two pictures, one of me and Jay and another of me and Logan. The articles speculate who the two different guys are and my face flushes as I read it.
“Are you really seeing someone?” Katie asks.
”Yes, but these are two different guys. The blonde guy is just my friend,” I explain.
”So, the other one is your boyfriend?” Katie assumes.
”Yes, but he agreed to keep things on dL...” I say.
”Is this dL to you?” Katie asks frustratedly.
”Katie, I-“
”Fix it!” Katie says, then hanging up.
I speed towards the gym to see Jay.
”Hey! Where are you going? Practice just ended,” Carlos says, bumping into me.
”The press know about Jay,” I tell him.
His smile drops.
”How?” Carlos asks.
“Someone took a picture of us together. And not just that,” I say.
I pull out my phone and show him the picture of me and Logan.
”What? Is that Logan?” Carlos asks.
”Yes! This was after Jay was talking to Lonnie about me. He came to comfort me,” I say.
”Damn, you should probably explain to him the situation before he gets the wrong idea,” Carlos says.
I nod and we walk to the gym. He steps in front of me and his eyes morph into those of fear.
”Too late...” Carlos mutters.
I peek over his shoulder and see the sight of something I never thought would happen.
His hands were on her waist, her hands in his brown hair, he was standing over her as she was pressed into the wall, her, my ‘best friend’, Lonnie...
She was kissing the man I loved.
I could feel the tears well up in my eyes as I stared.
”God, I’m so sorry,” Carlos says.
I fall to my knees and put my head in my hands and cry.
youtu.be/s7FRpMiaa4Q
“I don’t know why he would do this,” Carlos says.
The tears on my face continue to stream down as Carlos speaks.
“Take me home,” I say. Carlos pick me up and we walk to my dorm. I shut my dorm, and sob more. Sliding down the door and crouching. Roxie, concerned by my anxious crying, cuddles next to me. I pick her up and stare at her cute little eyes.
”I love you. Thank you for trusting me. You’re the only one who cares,” I say through tears.
She purrs in agreement. I just lost my best friend and lover and this tiger is the only thing comforting me. I’m almost pathetic at this point. I stand up and put Roxie on my bed. She curls up and watches me.
I grab a duffle bag and I put all of Jay’s hoodies and sweatpants in the bag. I pick up his bomber jacket and I remember our first date. The way he kissed me under the waterfall. How he recognized my scars. How he spoke so passionately in my ear, whispering sweet nothings to me. And I begin to cry again.
My door opens.
”Hey, babe. How’s-“ Jay starts, walking through the door. He notices my tear stained face and his jacket in my hands.
”Baby, what’re you doing?” Jay asks, approaching me concernedly.
”Who the hell do you think you are?! Do you think you can just prance in here and think everything is fine? You w-were kissing her. I saw you! Lonnie! What has she got on me, huh? And why did you tell her all those things? How I’m not supportive of you, and I’m always busy! I’ve sacrificed my patience, my dignity, my temper, my family, and my time just so I can make you happy! And what do you do? You go around telling Carlos that you’re not asking me to Cotillion, telling lies about me and you, and kissing my best friend!” I tell.
”Oh? Do you want to talk? Then what were those pictures that I saw? Who is the estranged guy you’re dating, huh? Cause I sure as hell don’t have blonde hair,” Jay assumes.
”Are you kidding me? That guy isn’t my boyfriend! You are!“ I say.
”Well it sure doesn’t seem like it anymore. And it’s not my fault that I actually found someone that can actually be with me!” Jay yells back.
His words silence me. I think about my brother. He’s such good friends with Jay. I remember him telling me about his friendship with Jay and telling him how he had a crush on Lonnie.  He would be crushed.
”Aziz is gonna kill you for this, you know that? And if he doesn’t, I will. Now take your shit and leave my fucking room,” I say deeply.
Jay glares at me and takes the bag of his things.
”By the way, your best friend was kidnapped. Don’t come looking for him or me,” Jay huffs.
He slings it over his shoulder and slams the door shut.
I wipe the tears from my face and hold Roxie in my arms.
