Actually, while we're on the topic of pets, what pets do you see the others with?
[Referencing this post!]
I'll (slightly) cheat and condense everyone into their groups, then say "whatever animals fit the motif of their respective character/film". There's some notes for each boy as well, but not always in the most intense of details. (Please keep in mind that this is only covering the main 22 students from NRC!!)
Heartslabyul already tends to hedgehogs and flamingos, so those could be common creatures to have as pets/familiars (especially among the card soldiers like Cater, Trey, Deuce, and Ace) Alternatively, there could be other animals from Alice in Wonderland such as cats (for the Cheshire Cat), oysters, living flowers, walruses, dormouses, rabbits/hares, etc. If we want to stray outside of the dorm motifs, a chameleon for Ace (since he has a talent for mimicking people)?? Cater with a fox because of how crafty he can be?? (I don't feel super strong on this choice.) Trey is Normal so a cat or a dog for him!! The dog could be useful for sniffing out special ingredients while a cat is fitting because Trey's VA also voices Lucius... And of course, Deuce deserves a chicken so it can lay many eggs! Riddle I see getting one of the standard pets because "it's the rule/tradition at Heartslabyul!"
Uhhh, mostly savanna animals for Savanaclaw I guess?? But again, the same moral debate I mentioned in the original post still applies here. (Like, would it be weird for a lion/wolf/hyena beastman such as Leona/Jack/Ruggie to have a lion/wolf/hyena as a pet/familiar???)
Octavinelle would have a lot of aquatic creatures as pets/familiars. I think the "perfect" pet/familiar to match Azul's image would be eels (to mimic Ursula). Not sure what Jade or Floyd would have (the JP fandom uses a dolphin and a shark emoji, respectively, to refer to them so maybe those)?? But since Jade is the informant for the group, I'm thinking something small and agile so he can send it to spy for him. (Plus, it could chill out in his terrariums for funsies later.) Floyd would have something more aggressive...
Scarabia would have unconventional animals from all over Twisted Wonderland! Kalim is someone I see as having many animal friends, so I can't think of just one animal. Maybe a tiger (like Princess Jasmine)? But it's also fun to imagine Kalim riding in on a massive elephant! He was originally supposed to have a monkey familiar (like Aladdin), so I can easily see that happening as well. Jamil has a clearer desire for a specific animal companion, and that would be a parrot. I can also see a snake for... obvious reasons. Maybe a bug to really torment them.
Peacock for Vil because he sits in a peacock throne and it has a majestic vibe. A crow or raven also works due to its association with the Evil Queen. Rook, like Kalim, is someone I see with a variety of animals and not a specific one. Whatever his pet/familiar is, it would probably be a skilled hunter. I'm thinking like some kind of predator bird like a hawk or falcon. Epel... nothing immediately comes to mind, but maybe something small and cute but tough like he is.
Idia would want a kawaii widdle neko-chan (his words, not mine) to keep as a lap warmer while he aggressive games. Ortho is more of a dog person (yes, this is purely because of his Cerberus Gear card), though I picture him engaging with virtual pets and/or those cybernetic dogs more than like... actual animals.
I think Lilia's bats already count as his pets, although they are rarely ever mentioned in dialogue. Silver, as a member of the light trio, is another person that I see with many animals (squirrels, deer, birds, rabbits, etc.). Sebek I feel would shout that every animal is inferior to Malleus and that no pet he has could ever match Malleus's, etc. etc. etc. He's usually associated with crocs, so I think many would gravitate to one as Sebek's pet??? I think it would be funny if his familiar was something small, cute, and kinda pathetic (like a chipmunk or something) so he acts all bashful about it... but hey, I think a horse (so he can ride proudly into combat) also works. Malleus I already covered in the original post linked above.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND AU: TAEHYUNG’S ENDING

Every single one of them were amazing and beyond perfect, but your heart seemed to be pulled towards one of them in particular.
Like a magnet, your eyes were instantly drawn to Taehyung.
"Tae."
He looked up at the sound of his name, his eyes wide in surprise. "Me?"
"Yes you." A soft laugh bubbled up out of you.
His unique, boxy smile made its grand appearance as he ran up to embrace you. Your arms wrapped around him, hands rubbing up and down his back as you relaxed in his hold, letting his comforting scent wrap around you like a warm blanket. He smelled like he just walked out of a bakery.
You parted ways and started saying your goodbyes to all the incredible people you were able to get reacquainted with.
"You'll visit sometime. Right?" Namjoon asked.
"Of course."
"I have small gatherings here at my castle." Jin mentioned.
"Oh. We'll definitely show up."
Taehyung nodded in agreement.
"Well, we should probably get going. If any of you want to meet up sometime, just let us know."
"Yeah and please feel free to stop by any time." Taehyung chimed in.
After saying your goodbyes, both you and the crazy man you had chosen to be yours left the castle and down the cobblestone pathway.
"Like I said earlier, my house a little shabby-looking, so I hope that's not a big deal." Taehyung mentioned as the two of you walked side-by-side.
"Not at all. As long as I get to be with you I'm happy."
"You're so cute, Y/n." He gushed, affectionately pinching your cheek.
Holding back a smile, you turned away only for Taehyung to lean in front of you.
"Don't hide. If you do that, I can't see your cute face." A quick kiss was pressed against your lips. "I'll give you a proper kiss when we get home." He winked.
"Well... we're alone now."
"No. I can't. They're watching us." His shifty eyes moved around warily.
"Who?" You inquired, following his gaze.
"Nothing. Let's go." He dismissed, pushing you forward.
The man was completely bonkers and quirkier than anyone you'd ever met, but that's what made him so lovable.
"Who's watching us?" You inquired.
"I don't know, but they watch all the time. I know they do. I can feel them." He narrowed his eyes.
"You're out of your mind." You chuckled.
"I know that. Now let's go."
The both of you passed by the tea party area where broken glass and abandoned teacups were scattered about the tabletop.
"We're almost there." Taehyung announced. "I don't live far from here."
After walking a little father through a patch of tall plants, you arrived at a small house.
"This is it." Taehyung smiled.
"This is where you live?" You asked, mouth hanging agape.
"It is. I told you it's a little shabby."
You immediately punched his arm. "This looks like Gucci and you say it's shabby? Are you kidding me?"
It was a gorgeous tiny house with a cozy vibe and even had a small, natural pool out in front.
"It's not shabby?" He questioned, lifting his hat to scratch the top of his head.
"No."
"And what's Gucci?"
"It's an expensive brand we have where I'm from, you wouldn't know."
"I'd like to know." He said, his eyes widening with interest.
"Let's just go inside." You chuckled.
He nodded and opened the door to your new home.
Your eyes widened when you saw the interior. It's even more fancy than the outside.
"Taehyung." You gaped.
"What?"
"Your house is incredible."
He grinned brightly at your compliment. "Oh. Don't forget, it's our house now." He leaned down and kissed your tips.
"Are you hungry? I have tea, and tea, and tea, and tea, and tea, and—“
"Taehyung." You chuckled.
"What?"
"Do you have anything else besides tea?"
"Of course I do, silly." He ruffled your hair.
"What do you have here?"
"What do you want?" He asked.
"Anything, really."
"Perfect! Then I can make some delicious instant noodles."
"That'll be great."
"Chef Taehyung at your service." He bowed before rushing off to the kitchen.
You followed him to the cozy little kitchen and took a seat on the countertop.
He started boiling water on the stove while you watched him, imagining many days like this one in the future where you watch him bustle about the kitchen.
He turned around and looked at you with a content expression. You flashed a smile, your gaze staying glued to him as he made his way towards you. His large hands slowly wrapped around your waist, his perfectly-sculpted face leaning closer to yours. In that moment, Taehyung's eyes were no longer playful, instead they were dark and hooded, swirling with intense emotion.
"How about I give you that proper kiss I was talking about, hm?" He murmured.
You couldn't speak, only nodding in response.
Taehyung leaned forward, placing his lips on yours and boy was it magic. This was a real kiss and nothing even close to the way he smacked his lips on yours when you first met.
Your eyelids closed on their own and you removed his top hat, placing it on the counter so you could run your fingers through his fluffy hair.
He pulled away and gently ran his thumb over your cheekbone, his gaze darting about your entire face, memorizing the details of it.
"You're so pretty, Y/n. I mean it."
Getting flustered under his intense gaze, you started to turn away only for him to pull you back to him, guiding you to his lips once more. This time, the kiss was more passionate as Taehyung's head tilted to the side to slot your mouths closer together. His hands slid down to your thighs, giving them a gentle squeeze that made your stomach flip.
Things were starting to get heated when you parted ways.
"Tae, the water." You reminded him, having nearly forgotten about the instant noodles he offered to make.
"Ah! Darn it!" He hastened over to tend to the water, which was bubbling like crazy. "Got too distracted."
He poured the piping hot water into the bowl of dried noodles and closed the lid. It didn't take long for your food to be ready. The both of you took a seat at the small dining table that was big enough for two people.
"Sorry I don't know how to make anything fancier." He frowned.
"It's okay." You grinned, ruffling his hair lightly just as he had done with you. "I'm happy with whatever you make me."
Two weeks later
You made your way out to the small pool outside the cozy house you called home. After living with Taehyung for a couple weeks, you learned that Wonderland was a lot like your old home. There's places to get clothes and places to eat. It's weird. The only difference is there's not near as many businesses there as there are back home. There was a handful of shops and a couple restaurants. That was pretty much it.
Something you also learned was that Taehyung loved making hats. In fact, he made you a couple, but you weren't much of a hat-wearer. That didn't stop you from modeling them for him, though.
You eased into the pool, running your fingertips over the surface of the water, watching the ripples dance along the top. You heard the front door open and turned to see Taehyung heading towards the pool sporting some eccentric swim trunks. The sight made your heart thump. His tanned skin paired well with the colorful shorts, not to mention his slim build, soft tummy, and fluffy hair made him look exceptionally adorable.
"Hey, cutie."
"Hey." He greeted through giggles. "I saw you were headed to the pool and wanted to join."
"I'm glad you did."
He stepped into the pool and made his way over to you.
"You look cute in your little swim trunks."
"I do?"
"Yeah, but you always look cute."
He visibly started to get flustered, his round cheeks tinting pink.
"Look at you getting all embarrassed." You chuckled. "Usually it's the other way around."
"Exactly. I'm supposed to be the one getting you all embarrassed." He huffed while hugging your back.
"You do that all the time. Especially when you compliment me."
"Then your eyes get shifty and you look away from me." He spoke, a tiny smirk making it's way onto his lips.
You pulled your bottom lip between your teeth.
Taehyung's demeanor changed quickly, his large hands started running up and down your back as he pulled you closer. He let out a chuckle when he saw you were beginning to get flustered.
One of his hands settled at the back of your neck, pulling you in as he leaned his face closer to yours. Your eyelids slid closed just before your lips made contact.
Taehyung hummed in satisfaction when you reciprocated his actions, your hands running up and down his bare back, the water clinging to him helping your palms to glide along his skin. Your limbs had a mind of their own, your hands moving from his back, to his chest, and up into his fluffy locks.
The water in the pool was fairly shallow and only came up to your midriff, but that didn't stop you from jumping into Taehyung's arms, allowing him to catch you. His hold on you was firm as his mouth worked against your own, moving at a feverish pace.
When you parted ways, both of you were panting and out of breath, gazing dazedly at each other. Taehyung's dreamy expression was quick to fall as he began looking around like he had seen or heard something.
"What's wrong?" Your brows pulled together.
"I think they're watching us again."
"Taehyung, babe, we're safe here."
"I thought we were too, but I think they're watching us. That's such a pervy thing to do." He cringed.
"I don't think these things you're talking about are real."
"You don't know that."
You shook your head, unable to suppress a light chuckle. "You're off your rocker, but I love you for it."
"I love you too. Now let's get inside where no one can see us."

careful what you wish for @grimmfitzz because i have been vibrating wanting to rant all day and now i’ve been given permission so it’s comin’! here we go yall
THE RANT
listen. i am an Alice in Wonderland person. that is my thing. i love everything from the novel. i love the merch. i was Alice at least four halloweens when I was little. picture the thing you love the most of all the things and multiply it by ten and that is how I feel about Alice in Wonderland.
SO YOU CAN IMAGINE THE GRAVITY WHEN I TELL YOU I HATE DISNEY ALICE IN WONDERLAND
let me tell you why.
starting off with the animated 1951 version, i personally don’t like that they focused so much on like. giving it a plot. like in the original nothing bad happens, she just is trying to get home and keeps getting stopped by these eccentric little people (she does get chased by the jabberwocky in Through the Looking Glass but that’s like the not even part of this movie so it doesn’t count.) like part of the whimsy of the original novel is that it’s just like her meeting all these silly little people on her way home and there’s a whole bunch in the 1951 that’s like put there specifically to move the plot along. which i get, for what they’re trying to do like i do understand it’s an animated movie for children but like. come on guys you defeated the whole purpose.
Now, as for the 2010 Tim Burton version, I love the aesthetic and the vibe, and even the story and I wholeheartedly believe that that version of Alice did more for feminism than all of the you-can-tell-i’m-a-strong-female-character-because-i-don’t-have-a-love-interest bullshit disney’s been doing the past five ish years combined. however, it’s like. not Alice in Wonderland. like it fits in the same category in my head as a really well done fanfiction because yes, its Alice in Wonderland characters but no it’s not Alice in Wonderland.
But of course, my biggest, nastiest critique of both versions is (*deep breath*) the goddamn Queen of Hearts.
If you know like anything about like Alice in Wonderland *lore* you know that the story is like… not an allegory per se but basically it’s supposed to exaggerate how children are sometimes treated by adults.
Like asking stupid questions (the caterpillar) or talking in circles about nonsensical things (the hatter) or giving conflicting or unhelpful directions (the cheshire cat) or telling dark/pointless stories (tweedledee abd tweedledum)
Which brings me to the Queen of Hearts.
Both Disney versions depict my beloved Queen as the main antagonist- the Bad Guy™️ if you will- but the problem is that in Lewis Carroll’s novel, she actually isn’t. The antagonist is the jabberwocky, which is a personification of Fear. The Queen of Hearts is just another crazy adult who says things that Alice doesn’t like. If we want to interpret the character into Alice’s real life, she might be a strict teacher who hands out punishments too generously (off with their heads!) or a governess who is set on dictating every single instant of her life. It’s an exaggeration! The Queen of Hearts is NOT the Bad Guy™️!!!!
ahem anyway that drives me actually bonkers if you can’t tell and i know it’s not that important but i wanted to say something anyway lmao so there you go
(if you are looking for a good Alice in Wonderland adaptation try the 1985 made-for-tv one! It’s like three hours long and it’s so fun and cute and there’s a bunch of old celebrity cameos! Details here)

Early in the season in beta, a cute bistro table perched precariously on a column that gave me Alice in Wonderland vibes, and a HUGE dark plant in what looks like a giant fountain or reflecting pool (not burnable as of yet). You can see a bit of missing texture on the rim of the column.
I feel like there’s a purpose in mind for the giant dark plant fountain, it’s just not there yet.
Beta. September 2, 2023.
Update November 27, 2023: the dark plant was obscured by clouds and the bistro table was removed, along with its column, shortly after we started testing. I thought maybe they’d reappear later as part of a season task, but sadly, that does not appear to be the case. Looks like they’re gone for good.

Before I start my bible about how much I liked "tart thief", I must clarify that English is not my first language, so I apologize if I am not understood 😔
I love how Riddle's personality is so canon! The more I read I thought of "THIS IS SOMETHING THE RIDDLE WOULD SAY", at the beginning of the story our red tyrant comes screaming and ruining the whole atmosphere of friendship between the students, I myself felt the fear of being caught! Even the dorm members felt afraid of Riddle even when they knew of his innocence and that was shown very well in the writing <3
I loved the obscenity and how he included Riddle's obsession with discipline in the Queen of Hearts rules (Excuses to fuck his lover <3)
Reading the previous anonymous I fully agree that the reader became pregnant. My mind is filled with thoughts of a pregnant darling and Riddle as a father, I feel like he would be such a sweet father afraid of making the same mistakes as his parents :(
In conclusion: I fell in love with his writing ❣️

Dont worry I get what your saying and honestly— Im afraid to say but english is also not my first language. Im chinese so Im still trying to get use to modern day fanfic writing in english and practicing descriptive writing is an experience. Especially for smut.
Usually in chinese its either very straightforward because personifications and figurative speech is mainly used in poems.
But yes! I did my best to impersonate Riddle and make sure he stays in character while also having that sweet sweet chills 7w7
I wanted a Riddle fic to have the vibe of what if darling gets caught by the tyrant boi and said tyrant will have to punish them. Huehuehue- im not sure if anyone has done it before but atleast I took inspiration from the Alice in Wonderland live action scene. That poor froggie :((
It wasnt suppose to be a smut actually. But then I wanted a scenario where darling gets caught for doing something rash and Riddle sees this as an oppurtunity and takes it. His mind is all hazy with all the rage of you daring to cross the rules while also being lowkey horny to get you stuff full with his babies♡
Though it will be a troublesome aftermath with what comes with keeping the child, the joy that this small baby will bring to Riddle will be all worth it.
Riddle will be looking at the newborn with such wide and fascinated eyes seeing it snuggled up in a blanket the doctors wrapped it up in laying comfortable in your arms and Riddle is just so eager to hold his creation. Looking at you like "may I? Please? Gimme gimme-"
Mmmmm Riddle being such a sweet father tho! But also a very nice husband > <
He promise to take care both you and the child and live happily ever after with the both of you~
He will probably live somewhere far away with you and be so happy to have a life of his own away from his mother and hopes to give his child the life he never had, giving them proper care and love but also still needing to step in when his child does something wrong. He will be fustrated with how mischevious and reckless they are but cant help but notice how similar they are to their mother.
He makes sure he isnt too rough on them like how he is with you ;)

Okay, to add on to my earlier Ask, I really wanna go into why I love your Yule Ball Dress stuff so much.
Luna:
I feel like every single one of you designs for her captured the eccentric and bold, but still soft and kind aspect of her character that she displays. Before I get into this, I wanna reiterate that I adore all the designs and if I prefer one it doesn’t mean I dont like the other, it just means I feel like it suits the girls better. The dresses are all gorgeous.
My least favourite would be number 2. I think that in the 90s, the dress has quite a hippie but still common vibe even if its a little old-fashioned. I feel like it doesn’t stand out as much as the others, but the style is beautiful. The vest is what stands out the most for me. If they weren’t Wizards this dress would make the most sense realistically, but as they are I think she would have more access to crazy, whimsical materials and designs. My favourite thing about this dress is the skirt. It looks exactly like one of those flowers that hang upside down, haha. I forgot to add, the hairpiece really suits Luna in my opinion
In 5th place, I’d put dress number 1. I love the pattern of the dress, but my opinion of this one is about the same as dress number 2. The only this is higher is because I am very very biased when it come to puffed sleeves. I also love the slight colouring and speckled pattern that’s on the sleeves and neck even if its subtle.
For 4th place, I had an extremely hard time deciding. It breaks my heart to put this in 4th place, but I’m putting dress number 5 here. This is my favourite if I was to wear a dress out of all these options. I love the colour, I love the corset, I love the short ruffle sleeves, I love the loopy embroidery, I love the corset, I love the flowers in her hair, I love the boots, I love the necklace and I love the corset. I really love the corset if you couldn’t tell. The shape of the big skirt is really cute. But I think once again she would have a more adventurous pattern. I’m so sad that I am doing this to myself but this would not be what I imagine for Luna. I mean, this girl wore a hat with a Lion and an Eagle in some strange combination but still pulled it off without a care. I love her. Anyway I’m getting off track. I think this is a little simple once again but I still adore the design. I think one day I might get this made professionally if I can ever afford it, would you be alright with that? The boots are really nice too. I personally love this style of fancy dresses with boots so this is number 1 for myself and in general but I dont think this fits Luna the best.
In 3rd place I will put dress number 3. It’s beautiful and I love the kooky Alice in Wonderland Vibe. I think this one really suits her and I like all the sharp edges on the design. I feel like it gives a nice contrast to the rest of the softer, more pastel and more flower colours and designs. But, I agree with you that the pastel ones are my favourite for her. I really adore the jewels and shiny stuff all over the dress. It really drives home the wacky aspect in a way I can’t really explain.
My second favourite is number 6. I feel like the space buns are what makes the outfit something that really screams Luna. The dress and cut is gorgeous and I love the heart shaped neckline, but my favourite part is the print on the dress. The ballerinas are so delicate and elegant, but still uncommon cos back then people usually didn’t get fabrics with patterns of humans. That sounds way creepier than I intended. But it’s really beautiful, and space buns are also one of my own favourite hairstyles, so this is number 2.
My favourite one, is definitely dress number 4. From the elegant up-do with leaves in her hair, to the crystal looking booties, this entire outfit is perfect. The dress is really good. The pattern on the skirt is gorgeous and I think that the zodiac signs were a really good choice for her. I love the green tights because it gives it a more playful vibe as compared to just elegant, and I think that playfulness is really important because she would have been 13 and it’s a part of her character. The see through tulle is really pretty and it makes it looks like it’s very nature like. The bodice is perfect as well because we all know that she would have put real plants on it if she had gone to the ball. It just really suits her and I love the design.
Okay that’s all that I have to say but I wanna reiterate that I really do love all the designs and I’m so happy you out so much effort and thought into each of them. Your really great! I’ll do Ginny and Hermione in a separate ask, but what do you agree/disagree with from what I’ve said?
I read your piece three times and I couldn't agree more! Like, when I draw these design sheets, I'm mostly thinking as I go. I think things like: what are the things she would wear at that age? What would she be interested in? Is she crafty? Or thrifty? Things like that :) I agree with your top 6. I also think the 70s dress isn't the right fit for Luna at the Yule Ball. I do think it's something she'd wear, maybe in a more casual setting, with slightly less saturated colour. I should do a drawing on that... Anyway, your top three! Agreed, 100%. The green plants and zodiac dress is my favourite, too. She could have put that whole outfit together in her spare time after classes. That's the idea I wanted to go with.
I am a little biased about the purple dress, I loved making that one. I feel like maybe she would have worn something like that at a Christmas party when she was a little bit older. It's a slightly more sophisticated look.
I love that you pick all these things up from my drawings. I just finished my bachelor's in illustration and storytelling and the main thing I always focus on is telling the story I want people to see/hear. There is a story in the dress designs and you've managed to find them. I love that! It's so wonderful.
I'm really curious about your thoughts on the other girls I've already done. I'd be happy to hear what you think :)
Finally, if you ever find a way to make the pink dress, be my guest! And send me the photos! It would be an honor! And I think I would cry, just a little bit, from happiness.

Idk if you've been asked this before but what would you like to see more of in IF genre wise and RO wise. Are there any tropes you wish were more prevalent or genres?
i may have? [i think so!] but thoughts change. so it's all good in the hood.
My response to the first one would always be more diversity. More characters of color, more characters of different ethnicities, variety in body types. More characters with disabilities. More short male and nonbinary ROs. More amazonian female and nonbinary ROs.
I've seen some improvement in body types, at least from the recent IFs I've been eyeing, especially when the ROs don't have pictures but more is always great.
As for TYPES:
For IFs:
I'm a historical romance fan, so I would love to see more of those. In general. I don't mean in a magical world [though I will get that to it], but slice of life during the Harlem Jazz Era, murder mystery in Japan in the 1930s, etc. And if you MUST, must, must do it in a European setting [nothing wrong with that, I love a good Regency romance], there is no reason for it to be all white. Or even entirely white. 1- I don't care about historical inaccuracies [half the time people get corsets and medical stuff wrong anyway] 2- if you MUST be accurate, do your research.
Though, I do love fantastical/sci-fi in historical settings. And I don't mean aliens made the pyramids [don't try it]! More like a Victorian era IF making influence of the steampunk genre [which go hand in hand]. Or netflix's taking zombies and putting them in ancient Korea [is it Korea? I don't watch those shows]. Give me elves in the Mayan empire. Or maybe something like where people advanced tech-wise but the social mores are very Regency. "Urban" Fantasy in Imperial China. Werewolves vs Vampires but make them Vikings.
More isekai IFs. Both in how they do it in manga/manhwa but also like a Kid In King Arthur's court, kind of vibe. You're not Alice but you're in Wonderland.
I love the slices of life coming out. Particularly the ones that are inspired by shows. I want more of that! Maybe even films.
I want more witches and werewolves. That is it. Separate. Together. Any era. I want them.
I also want more stories with the Fae. Changelings and hobgoblins and The Hunt. Tam Lin and kelpies and trades. The nightmarish stuff.
More stories about second chances in life, especially for older characters.
Um. I had more thoughts but I've lost them.
ROs.
Second chance! But something like you and your ex got a divorce, but there are kids [hi thicker than!]. Or the one who got away in high school/college [hi dropout!]. I don't want fresh feelings being washed out [though that's nice]. I want scratching at old scabs. I want you thought these feelings were dead but they're back. Or they did die, but now we're different people and -- oh, hello ... again?
Speaking of second chance. I would like more ROs who have pasts. Lost loves. Heartbreaks. Mistakes they've made and they're trying again.
Tired of alpha men. More 'alphas' of other genders.
I want ROs who are messes. And not in the shy, awk introvert~ Who is sometimes klutzy but its cute! I mean someone who thinks they're good with people but is actually a disaster. Characters who are angry. And mourning. And have their own issues that make them imperfect. That also won;t be solved just because MC is there.

Hi Tess, here's an SS: ToL ask just because! What non-spoilery things can you tell us about the Forest of Eternity (which gives me Alice in Wonderland vibes in a good way!) Is there a particular reason it's purple? Does everyone who ends up there receive guidance from a cute animal companion, or is it only a select few? Can the animals leave?

Non-spoilery? Oh jeez. (Sarcastic) Dropping this below the cut for anyone who hasn’t read Part 1 of my magic system dump.
The short and vague answer for why Eternity is purple is that the comet it originated from before it crashed into Earth contained the same translucent purple metal-like material used for a certain someone’s special sword. That’s all I can say for now.
Only Auras who are chosen to be Sentinels (Guardians of Eternity) forge a soul bond with Eternity’s creatures. At its best, the forest used to be filled with hundreds of species who freely interacted with anyone they wished, but only Sentinels had access to their ancient magic and knowledge. The animals cannot leave the forest—so if the Sentinels go back to Caledon, they will be on their own.

okay so after viewing of fountaine trailer:
I am fucking malding school is starting back up soon and i will not be able to play this shit. I still haven't touched most of sumeru yet and it makes me slightly just want to punch a wall.
Focalors my beloved. She sounds like me when speaking chinese. It's cute.
The first part of the trailer looked like we were arriving in Alice in Wonderland. The second part looked like Steampunk. It actually gives a lot of vibes to the movie, the Prestige, which. Go watch it if you haven't. Its such a good movie. We have the magic tricks, the robots, and it's just the same vibe, yk?
CHILDE IS BACK??? CHILDE IS BACK???? AYO? ALSO WHERE THE ACTUAL FUCK IS ARRLECHINO? don't tell me this is the Signora Scaramouche thing all over again, except they both live this time.
Focalors being what I thought she'd be in my own headcannon version with the Scara Au is still the funniest thing to me. I thought she was gonna be this cold, uncaring, cruel character. And she is. More eccentric, gets bored easily, and sassy than I originally thought, but oh man, that makes it even better.
Also, the fact that in my own AU, I thought the hydro archon sat in a place high above others, was also just so fucking ironic to me. Also it gives constantly cloudy and rainy, which was what I thought fountaine would be.
I love focalors did I ever say that?

So I've been INSANELY busy lately and just caught up on everything from Chapter 4 on, and I stg I am FERAL right now. So, as a fellow writer, I decided to compile a review for each chapter.
Chapter 4 - Alex Burgess deserves to suffer everything Penny had been made to live through and more. I would very much like to tuck Penny in a blanket and give her cocoa and cuddles.
Chapter 5 - The way he MOURNS her! The way his every other thought is her! The way he adores her so clearly despite not having ever even spoken to her! Also, I love the idea of Johanna as a friend.
Chapter 6 - All of the Endless (Including the Prodigal) AND Mother Night checking in on Penny throughout the years is so fucking sweet to me? Like "Dream cannot guide you now, and we cannot free him, but we love him, as do you. And for that we love you the same." It's just amazing! They aren't a standard family but they still love one another so much.
Chapter 7 - That line about knowing why Lucifer was gods favorite is so smooth, lmao. Dream's introspection on why Nada wouldn't suit as his wife was also cute as hell (pardon the pun.) The gentle way he cares for her is everything, too. The commentary about his battle leathers is 100% accurate, too. He had NO right to look that good.
Chapter 8 - Penny, who has lived easily a hundred years, meeting John, who believes it's his right to force others to live in only the harsh light of truth, was fascinating. I'm also getting such strong Alice In Wonderland vibes from Destiny's maze conversation. And Dream's own protectiveness of Penny is heartwarming. And the way she can shape and revitalize the dreaming is so cool!
Overall - I also love the continuing motif of butterflies with Penny, especially since the name Penelope means 'weaver', as in "One who weaves a new path". This is just such a brilliant story. His willingness to help her and protect her is just everything to me. I cannot WAIT to see more, thank you so much for sharing this amazing story with us.

Chapter 4 was so hard for me to get through and I cut out A LOT of stuff because it was just so painful and as Penelope's mom basically I literally had this moment where i just scrapped a huge chunk because it felt so wrong to like expose these very painful and very raw moments she had. And I also really truly didn't want anyone to be scarred or anything reading it. And I'm glad I did, I think the little that I gave says enough about what went down. Alex got off easy and its honestly because Dream was just done, he'd thought he lost the last little shred of hope he had and he just wanted to go home and fulfill his final promise to Penelope.
Chapter 5 is still my favorite because I was literally heartbroken writing it 😅 It was so painful to write Morpheus mourning because he feels things so deeply but also so privately. I loved that it felt so natural and so heartbreaking even though they'd never spoken (that I think also added a lot more pain 😂). My favorite part of this was when he had to kill Gregory and he was just thinking about how much she would have loved all his creations and how unfair it was. 😭 Absolutely broke me! But in a piece of Dreams chapter 8 POV that I cut out (I'm going to publish it hopefully tomorrow before chapter 9s release) he has this parallel of that moment that I just adore.
Chapter 6 I am so glad you caught Night! I plan on expanding on that a bit later, but I'm happy someone caught it! The other Endless I loved writing for! Death is 100℅ like this is my little brothers future wife I'm not letting her go without making sure she's okay first. Destruction is gonna be a big influence on a lot of Penelope's future (chapter 9 will be getting into this) the friendship she has with him is literally so soft and I adore it and so when he leaves her its heartbreaking. Despair I truly didn't know how to do and I felt meh about it but rereading it I think it actually does a great job showcasing where she's at this point in her journey. Desire is a riot! They are so fun to write and I just love all of it! I think for the twins their care is hidden under this "we just wanted to see if it was true" guise but Desire 100℅ was watching to make sure Pen was safe while she was trying to fill that void and no one can convince me otherwise.
Chapter 7 I love Lucifer's character and I truly wanted to capture that awe Penelope has when meeting them because demons she's seen and they're all grotesque but Lucifer the ruler of hell and demons is just beautiful. 😩 Love it. You can thank @true-queen-of-mischief (and a ton of other stuff because they're amazing!) for the final version of the Nada paragraph because they have a ton of knowledge on the comic books so they helped me workshop that whole things as well as the end with Penelope's mom and her forgiveness of her. Dreams gentle nature is so fun to write, its just so soft and it kills me 🥺 The battle leathers! 🥵 They knew what they were doing with that!
Chapter 8 John needs to be put down a peg and I was more than happy sending in Penny because she knows a power hungry asshole when she sees one. 🤷♀️ And yes! I was absolutely going for the Alice in Wonderland vibes with that scene! Destiny is going to be featured again because I literally find him so fascinating among other reasons.
Oh my god! You're picking up on some of my foreshadowing and I love it!!!! 🤭😍😩 Butterflies, her name, all of it means something which chapter 9 and 10 will be getting into and I'm SO excited for it! It was one of my major ideas for the story and Penny and so I'm so excited to see it come to life and for you guys to get to react to it! I think it's amazing, so I hope you all do too once you find out! But seriously thank you so much! I adore getting to read what you and all the other readers are thinking and loving about the story! I'm so happy knowing you guys are loving it! 😭🥰😍

well shit this is gonna be a long post because i dont just love the main boys (love is a strong word for some of em) but i also love random obscure characters and even background characters that never speak soooooo....
also! before i start! i mostly headcanon these characters under the idea that theyre like- 19 since i dont have many thoughts other than canon for while theyre the age theyre at in the show itself
Kenny (starting with my favorite who i project the most onto i think): 5'9, pansexual (and romantic), genderfluid girlboything princessgender princessboy genderfuck genderpunk ADHDgender hypererotigender wingedgender transfemme who steals money from their parents to buy estrogen off of like- amazon in bulk and probably sells some to other transfemmes with shitty parents who wont let them transition. for pronouns, is definitely fine with any and all, literally impossible to misgender this creature, but prefers he/she/they/it/xe/ze/angel pronouns. probably started growing his hair out at like 15 and gave up on trying to keep it short and managable, steals makeup from the dollar store for both herself and it's sister, definitely goes punk at some point (all of his pants are crust pants cause they dont get washed /j), and has a shit tonne of patched clothing both for necessity (he still owns his parka even though hes too big for it, probably cut up the sides and sized it up with a bunch of old clothes that dont get used anymore in the family, definitely has stick and poke tattoos (he probably gave a cute lil bow or heart stick and poke tattoo to Karen and angelself a matching one so theyd always have a reminder of each other no matter what) and definitely is the resident bootleg piercer for those who wanted them when they were younger but their parents didnt let them (Craig, stan, probably kyle, definitely tweek) or those who just straight up dont have the money to get professionally pierced. full of many disorders, specifically: autism, ADHD, bipolar, c-ptsd, BPD, combined generalised and focal photosensitive epilepsy, and probably some level of psychosis from all the trauma and drugs

Kyle: asexual (sex-favourable or indifferent), biromantic, 5'11, transneu agender enby who uses he/they pronouns. has ADHD and his canonical diabetes
Stan: 5'10, bi demiboy and nonbinary man who uses he/they/it pronouns. Puerto Rican/asian/white mixed (i flip flop between east asian or south-east asian, or both- but we vibe). has depression ADHD, BPD and autism, probably got more into grungy/fairy grunge/whimsigoth fashion as he got older, or at least tries to marry goth, grunge and hippie fashion cause he definitely still holds the values associated with those subcultures, probably got suppppeeerrr into politics and protesting at some point, probably steals signs, probably collaborates with Kenny to steal from big stores (just kenny does it to survive and stan does it out of principle)
Cartman: 5'4 and VERY insecure about it, bi and transfemme but like super hyper closeted (i think he probably eventually gets more chill with his own sexuality, but is super super mega bigoted about literally everyone else. him being into men is fine but anyone else is a fag (derogatory). i have hcs for his disorders but i feel like listing them automatically sounds like im demonising them when im not
Butters: 5'5 (and eric fucking HATES her for it), demisexual and pan, nonbinary genderqueer genderfae bungender/traumabungender sanriogender hellokittygender autigender transfemme demigirl who uses she/they/he/bun/soft/lu/🌸/🌈/☀️/🌧/🫧/🪻/🩰/🧼/🎀/🌀 pronouns. has... so many disorders. Autism, c-ptsd, ptsd, night terrors, dissociative amnesia, DPD, delusional disorder, Alice in Wonderland syndrome and a complete blindness in his left eye (for kinda obvious reasons? maybe?). bun changes their name (legally) to Marjorine Leopold Stotch as soon as she turned 18 (without her parents permission), but still uses the nickname Butters because it doesnt feel that gendered to lu. soft sometimes has delusions of being in VR or dead. His parents refuse his diagnoses because it means they did something wrong (which they obviously did lol) so they dont give him medication, Marj mainly gets 🌸s meds from Kenny, Tweek, Tammy Warner (from that one episode where kenny gets a girlfriend whos a 'slut'), and the goth kids (most of them because they have been perscribed the medication, or, in Kenny's case, because they buy/trade perscription drugs). started transitioning without 🌈 parents' knowledge.
Craig: 5'11, gay and demiromantic, outerspacetix voidgender/agender man who uses he/it pronouns. is just- very mixed- its indigenous/south-east asian/peruvian/black/white and is adopted. has ASPD and autism. his 'exception people' (i dont know if thats the official phrase for it, but people with ASPD apparently can have certain people that bring out strong emotions in them- dont take my word for it though, this is second hand info from someone with ASPD i used to watch on tiktok lol) are Tweek, Thomas (from the tourrettes episode) and Stripe (yes, his guinea pig- sh). he's pretty okay at masking emotions when he needs to (mostly to make his boyfriends feel better and in an attempt to sooth their anxieties). he probably starts getting into grunge/punk at some point during his teens- he probably has a patch jacket/battle jacket thats covered in a mix of political and astrology/space related patches. his spin is space, absolutely.
Clyde: 5'8, spanish/east asian bi man (i go back and forth on whether or not to make him cis or trans or like demiboy??? or just a nonbinary man??? idk- just masc), uses he/they/it pronouns and has ADHD and PTSD.
Jimmy: 5'11, Cupiosexual, demiromantic (both bi oriented), is a cis or genderqueer guy and mainly uses he/him but doesnt really care much if you call him anything else, probably has a couple birth marks and cooovveerrsss his crutches in stickers (he probably has a bunch of random stickers related to all kinda shit, 2/3s of which arent even his, he has like- a shit tonne of stickers related to space, and robots, and dark academia, and hearts, and super heros, or whatever the fuck because his friends just give him stickers sometimes)
Tolkien: 6'0, genderfaun enby, omni with a preference for feminine people, has autism and ADHD, uses he/they pronouns, and has a couple scars from canon events (eg; a scar on his forehead from when cartman pelted him with a rock, and a gunshot scar on his shoulder from cartman shooting him)
Tweek: 5'8, nonbinary tweekgender (namegender) demiboy, gaygaygaygaygay, uses he/they/it/tweek/tic pronouns. has ADHD, autism, anxiety disorders and a panic disorder, paranoid personality disorder, C-PTSD, claustrophobia, tourettes and psychosis. he gets triggered by coffee if he hasnt been around coffee for a while (after a while it becomes less triggering and more part of the constant anxiety and paranoia), has psychotic delusions and hallucinations of bugs, the smell of coffee, gangstalking, etc. hes weirdly friends with the goth kids????? tic hangs out with them (as well as Kenny, Craig and butters) a lot, getting to traumadump, rant about anxieties, and just kinda gossip? and it helps it mellow out a bit. (also tweek has a bunch of scars to do with scratching tics, ripping out piercings, etc)
Wendy/Wendyl: 5'9, south east asian, bi, genderfluid/genderfaer, uses she/they/he/fae pronouns and is autistic. her spin is politics and feminism, he has a couple (brightly colored) patch clothes (definitely a pair of patch shorts and a patch skirt). has a couple scars on their knuckles and one on their cheek from fights she's gotten into (both in canon, and during protests or general people fucking with her). fae definitely does kickboxing and probably hosts an underground self defense class for non-men.
i can probably get into more obscure characters now but this is already long enough and im slowly running out of spoons so im kinda done for now

Yuu: Holy heck there are so many! But I guess that makes sense due to Yuu/Mc being a self-insert for many.
The first song is a fun and laid-back kind of beat and lyrics. Fitting for the more relaxed Mc type, happily enjoying the chaos and optimistic about the future despite any troubles.
The second song is a fun beat and song. Not really sure how to categorize this one though. Fun and good song!
Third song is really sweet, a nice beat and song with kind lyrics, this is for the Mc's that are out there to help the students of NRC, but struggle due to the financial stuff Crowley puts on them. Amazing choice!
Fourth song gives the vibes of an Mc that is in love with these toxic villains that go to this school. they're down bad despite how cruel some can be.
The last song is very fitting for the whole premise of the Twisted wonderland, using different fairy tales to call out to those they are in love with. Cool song, but didn't like the video due to its erotic nature but I could just ignore that and focus on the lyrics and music.
Grim: Roblox war flashbacks really cute song, but not much I can do with this song for Grim. A cute and fun song so thanks!
Crowley: The first song doesn't really fit him due to the fact that he would never admit that he's greedy. That's the opposite of how generous he always is! good idea but not quite.
The second song has an amazing melody right off the bat! this song is definitely fitting, could change the focus from getting a man with a lot of money to them doing better than RSA. Amazing fit, but I don't plan on writing it out. Good choice!
Crewel: The first song is a bit too intense for how he works in my head. Also, the second language that is used in the song would be hard to work with.
Second song is a lot more fitting of his personality. His commands and the way he talks to his students. PErfect fit for the fashionista teacher.
Trein: hehehe! what a cute and wholesome song for the grumpy old man. Can definitely see him singing this to Lucius when he thinks he's alone in his classroom. heck yes.
Vargas: Wow... It's a good song for him, I would just have to change a lot of the lyrics to make it more family-friendly. I like the energy just way too many innuendos.
Sam: Love this tranquil song, but there are no lyrics to change or song to write, it's great, but not quite fitting. Besides, I think the song he's got already is perfect.
Ambrose: I don't know this character, or any of the side characters much, but this song doesn't really fit his joyous attitude and kindness. Honestly think this song fits Crowley more than Ambrose. Also, A song that I think would be more fitting is "Higitus Figitus" or "that's what makes the world go around".
Chenya: Very fitting to have the Cheshire cat person sing the Cheshire cat song. Apparently, it's a part of a different song/poem, the Jabberwocky. So I might have him singing it and the mc coming into those specific lyrics. very good choice.
Neige: Both of these songs are so good for the ball of pureness that is Neige, the first song gets everyone dancing and will bring a smile to many. While the second song brings a bittersweetness that moves many to smile at times they've had in the past and to look forward to more times of joy in the future. They're perfect for him.
The Dwarves: Of course we have the little dwarves singing the original dwarves' song in the mines. Not much to say or change with this one, just perfect.
Rollo: New character I know nothing about since I try to avoid spoilers. Strange song and has fairly self deprecating vibes. Not sure if this fits him or not. not willing to look at spoilers for now over it anyway. interesting choice, I cant say much about it due to ignorance of the character.
Riddle's Mom: This woman fucking sucks. the song is amazing and shows a side to Riddle that he probably has buried to try and keep the tense peace between himself and his mother. The song shows that he's better than the things his mom demanded of him, that he's better because he strayed. He's made friends, he's happier and he's more beautiful being imperfect than the gemstones the mother expected him to be. Not going to write it since its so perfect.
Falena: So this is the brother of Leona, the king of the sunset Savana. The first song is deep and shows that Falena was aware of Leona's struggle and tried to help. The second song had an amazing MLP animatic that tugs at the heartstrings. Not fitting for the lion brothers but a song of love and heartbreak. I think the first song fits better.
Cheka: Fun childish song of carefreeness for the bundle of joy that is Cheka! also fitting for him to sing his Disney counterparts' songs. Another I wouldn't write due to not knowing him well enough.
Rielle: Apparently he's the twisted version of Ariel from the little mermaid. So that's cool! classic singing of the original characters' song. The longing to see another world, to learn something new and try something different. seems fitting for this excitable prince.
Jamil's Parents: Dang, that Robot song is very deep into the issue Jamil always had with his servitude. He blames his parents and Kalim for his upbringing, having to hold himself back, to seem lesser because he was just a servant just someone inconsequential and only there to help others. This could be an inner soul song for him.
The second song shows just how much Jamil hates that the things he was good at had to be restrained, that he had to hold himself back and never speak his mind. Another build-up to his eventual overblot.
the third song was awesome, but not very fitting to the story for Jamil. Good song and it had an awesome animation too.
Najma: the brother song is sweet but doesn't really capture the banter and the snarky remarks we see between the two, this is that deep familial love that we don't get to see much of due to how Jamil works.
Second song of surface pressure is pretty fitting for how hard Jamil works and puts on himself. During the festival we see how much Najma cares, despite the teasing, she doesn't push him or demand much. She listens and supports her brother. Probably what kept him sane when he worked as a servant for all those years.
The last song is again a bit too sappy for the two vipers, but The sentiment is sweet and they do care for each other in a passive-aggressive (at times) way.
Vil's Dad: Never seen this character, I think. So I don't know if this song fits or not. But if he's proud of what his boy can do, despite some not-so-savory things to others. Then ya that song fits him well.

✨ Come on, Barbie! Let’s go party! ✨
This one follows Chelsea more than Barbie. (Think of Thumbelina in that regard.) It also has some Alice in Wonderland and Wizard of Oz vibes due to its plot. I don't how I feel about this one exactly. I don't love it, but it's not bad. It's just another cute movie in the sister-centered stories.

Ooh, Lina is an Aurora kin~? 👀 (Fr tho. Its hard being an IXXP type in a world where people seem to just naturally know how to socialize. What do they even talk about? I had always found small talk pointless and boring.)
Ooh, I suppose Aurora does share similarities with Vance in a way! I think its because Vance is the youngest child in his family which is why he wants people to stop treating him like a child, whereas Aurora is the oldest child and wants the kind of love that only children receive.
And you're pretty much spot on as to why flowers grow towards Aurora! XD (Probably the same reason why animals are attracted to Silver.) I'm thinking of tying this little thing to a deeper lore reason, but haven't fully fleshed it out yet.
Yes, Xue Mei has likely been underestimated in her childhood. This is a reference to Mulan of course, but I don't want to make Xue Mei's dislike for being underestimated just about gender. Maybe she isn't the most talented, but she's hardworking and goal-oriented, making her frustrated when people think she can't do something? 🤔 I'll think about it.
Adsjjdnfoiscs Lina, Chandani is not as deep as she seems. All of my RSA merfolk are the most normal, untraumatized ocs I have ever created. Chandani's quote is a reference to Alice in Wonderland, and I was thinking she says that after some character development. As the peacemaker middle child of her family, she is usually soft-spoken and lets her siblings take the limelight. But something happened one day that put someone she cared about in danger, and in a fit of desperation to save them, she activated her UM and took care of the threat. Then promptly passed out for a few hours. I haven't got all the details down yet, but I plan to write her backstory one day. 😄
DNDJSKSJDJSJ i do share some similarities with aurora, but i don't think i have the same mischievous and chaotic energy as them! i actually think that if i kinned one of your ocs, it would be violet predictable i know and oh, that part about aurora and vance sounds interesting! :O though i think vance's family members treated him like that not really because he was the youngest, but because of that injury he got when he was a child, so they became too overprotective of him and even strict.
and about xue mei, yeah, it's actually a bit hard to think about backstories when your ocs are based on disney characters, because you want to make them similar, but also.. some backstories are just not it. i definitely felt that with roland and hayden, because roland is based on a cute garden fairy who doesn't really have a backstory and hayden is based on a dude who's not really a good villain and you can learn his backstory only from a novel but his motivation is still kinda meh.. i can't really explain how i came up with roland's backstory, it just made sense to me, but with hayden's backstory i just went "okay, so what if he still has a big family and he's still the youngest, but he's not a royalty or anything like that? i don't really want to make him a country boy like epel though.. hm, how can i make his family have this "creepy vibe" to them? and how can i explain his ability to manipulate and use everyone? OH I KNOW HIS FAMILY IS ACTUALLY A CULT" also i have a non-fandom oc who's a lot like hayden, so i used some parts of his backstory as inspiration. in the end, i don't think roland and hayden (and also some other ocs of mine, like merrill and jay) are not that similar to their disney counterparts, but hey, that's what makes them original! i still have ocs like vance and allen who are pretty much the same as their counterparts, IT'S JUST THAT ALLEN IS A DARK VERSION OF ANNA HSJKASKDJDJ
and really?? i thought that chandani has some DEEP as the sea LORE SHE HAS A DEEP BACKSTORY but she's actually just?? chilling?? I WAS ABOUT TO COME UP WITH THEORIES AND ALL SDHJAJKKSKS and oh.. for some reason i didn't recognize that quote.. ironic because i have an alice-inspired oc HONESTLY HOW PEOPLE EVEN FIND AESTHETIC QUOTES THAT FIT THEIR CHARACTERS MY AESTHETIC QUOTES ARE JUST "haha taylor swift lyrics" but hey, we love to see at least some of your ocs not having a tragic backstory <3
