Zoro gets after school detention. Additional Warnings: light bullying

“This is fucking humiliating!” griped Zoro loudly. With a frown, he stared out the side window, the streets floated by, house after house slid by impassive to his woes, and a raven croaked mockingly. The world was against him. “I’m a grown-ass man,” he sulked and crossed his arms.

“I doubt that,” Mihawk said equally impassive, his hawk eyes locked onto the street and passing cars. “And watch your language.” The old hearse, lovingly called Barcao Ataúd by Perona, was a modified ’65 Cadillac and made to glide through the city. The outside was painted in a deep black and polished spotless, accents shined almost neon-green in comparison. The catholic symbols of crosses, hellfire, and the dance macabre drawn tastefully on its side added to the eerie charism. A bringer of death. The inside, of course, was luxuriously furnished. Seats ridiculously comfortable and heated, the footwell lined with lambswool, the leather embossed with similarly eerie symbols, the dashboard from heavy wood remodeled to fit a new hi-fi system. The massive ship of a car reigned supreme over any and all traffic like a Spanish galleon owed the Atlantic.

“That’s your problem, not mine,” hissed Zoro back and slid deeper into the seat, wide and cushy like an armchair. The backpack rested in the footwell and his legs draped around it, the vast spaciousness refuting that this was merely a car. The radio was turned off and the motor was barely audible. The cold silence crawled under Zoro’s skin, an effective way for his father to dismiss everything. Vexatious on purpose, a stubborn fool if ever Zoro had met one, and always happy to make his children’s life worse. Today was no exception. “This is the fucking worst!” Zoro cursed out, exaggerated the one word all these old …

its been a minute since ive played either game, do you know if theres detention??? was daydreaming about good doer delinquent mc (as in, beats up the bullies but ends up in detention/teachers think theyre the bad one) and then realized i either dont remember or havent seen any detention

Hello there, 🐈‍⬛ anon!

As it turns out, there is in fact detention!

It happens in season four of the OG when MC and Simeon start talking at lunch. They get distracted and totally miss one of their classes. Skipping class means you get detention!

When they showed up to the classroom in which detention was being held, it was being run by Barbatos. I found this very interesting because they said that detention is normally run by a student council member, thus implying that Barbatos is not actually on the student council himself. I kind of see this as he just acts as Diavolo's personal assistant so he's like council adjacent. But also good because give the man a break from something for once.

Anyway, they proceed to explain that it has to be Barbatos now because members of the student council kept finding themselves in detention. In this case, they're talking about Mammon specifically. I can't remember what he did, though.

Also present is Thirteen who I think caused some kind of trouble with a trap or something. I don't remember that exactly, either tbh.

The punishment is writing lines on a chalkboard.

Barbatos tells Simeon to write something like "I smile a lot but I'm scary when I'm angry ♡" with the heart and everything.

I don't remember what MC's line was or if they even gave us one.

But this stuck out to me because I remember being like I am a grown ass adult there is no way I would agree to do detention at all, let alone writing lines. Then again, these are also ancient beings and they're doing it, so they'd probably be like being over thirty is not a good enough reason to get out of writing lines lol.

Anyway, I think it was mostly a lighthearted sort of thing.

Personally I really like the idea of do gooder delinquent MC getting in detention all the time to the point where Barb is just like, don't even bother. He'd be like okay obviously you're not supposed to beat up students, but if you sneak out of detention, I shall turn a blind eye... and he'd get away with it easily too.

Anyway, I hope that helps you out! I don't remember exactly what lesson that detention part is in, so if someone knows, please feel free to drop the number in the comments or something!

Wait, what the fuck do you mean its up for debate in the UK if schools should lock the toilets during lessons??? How is it even up for debate when there are health concerns when it comes to holding it in for a certain length of times and also the fact that girls already find it embarrassing when having to ask to go to the bathroom during their monthly?

we really did it was bonkers. the protest was planned in advance and the school knew about it so teachers would gently remind us we would get in trouble if we walked out but very few actually discouraged it because, you know, they also didn’t like the idea of getting shot up. the whole thing went pretty well, the local news came to cover it, several students gave speeches, the names of some students and teachers who had recently died in school shootings were read off before a moment of silence, plans were made for further protests and walk outs on a larger scale that went successfully over the next few months. eventually our school principal came out and announced his support and also assured that no students would face disciplinary action for protesting. and then a bunch of us received disciplinary action for protesting. importantly though, not all of us did, seemingly an indiscriminately chosen group of attendees were apathetically punished and no further action, positive or negative, was ever taken. despite being a relatively small scale movement it was probably the biggest movement against gun violence (or for that matter anything remotely leftist) the whole region had seen, being in the red south. which isn’t directly related but does make it sting a little more that the only response was a few lunch detentions that didn’t stick on my permanent record.

For fun I’ve been drafting a TOH rewrite that’s currently just titled “if Disney kept their hands to themselves” and it’s been really fun so far but I just decided to axe Hexside as a whole (since it was apparently something Disney added for marketability) and boy howdy does this force me to change like… everything in Season 1. 😂

Besides losing the obvious/easy way for Luz to meet Willow, Gus and Amity, I also have to rework all the character relationships to work without the school being involved (Amity’s parents can’t threaten to keep Willow out of school, Raine and Eda couldn't have met at HECK, etc) PLUS there’s the whole issue of “how do kids learn magic and how does the coven system work now?”
