Hey babe! I've been meaning to send you something for a while, but for most of that time I didn't know what words to use. Pets are a part of us and our families in such a way that they leave us feeling empty when they're not with us any more. You start seeing them in their absence, in the things you start doing automatically around them that you don't need to any more. I don't know if it's of any comfort for you as it was for me this june, but those absences speak of the love they gave us, and it's always worth it to have been loved and loved them in return. I love you and I hope you know I'm always here, and so is he in all of those moments you had with him <3

popi i cannot begin to tell you how much this means to me. i'm hugging you so so fucking tight. it really is so hard, just this morning i woke up thinking oh, i need to go feed him. it's weird to think he won't be waiting when i get home. but you're so right. it's a sign of how much we love them, and how much they love us. and even though i only got to love him for a short time in my life, for him it was his entire life and all he knew was that love. and for that i'm grateful.
