what kind of face do you think Barbatos would make if he learned I microwave my tea? i need a constant stream of tea usually and microwaving is the fastest way to get a cup of hot water, if the hot water kettle isn't already going. 1 minute and tea bag and it's already drinkable.

if he told me to wait and went to make me a proper cuppa id probably wither and just beg him to microwave water and a tea bag. do you think he would disown me?

Yes, anon. I do think he would disown you.

I mean, no I don't actually think he'd disown you, but it'd be kinda cute, right? He's so appalled that he just kinda has to take a time out. Can't think clearly about it until he has his own calming cup of tea. And then he feels better and starts brainstorming ideas to help you with this issue.

Now, when you say the hot water kettle are we talking the traditional stove top situation? Because you know they make electric kettles, right? They're muuuuch faster. You can also get a Keurig type situation.

Why does this matter? you may be asking. It all makes water hot, right?

Yeah, technically. But in order to steep tea correctly, your water has to be a specific temperature. And you can't really get a specific temp with a microwave. Whereas most Keurigs and electric kettles either automatically heat the water to the correct temperature or you can change their settings so they do.

This is so your tea isn't too bitter.

And if you want my honest opinion, I doubt Barbatos uses tea bags, either.

He strikes me as a loose leaf only kinda guy, maybe using a tea bag if he's in a pinch or something.

However, I think Barbatos is likely to just... make you a whole pot. He'll put the loose leaf tea directly into the pot, followed by the water already heated to the right temperature, then let it steep the correct amount of time depending on the type of tea. Then he'll have a little strainer for you to catch the tea leaves in as you pour the tea from pot to cup.

A pot will last you a lot longer than a single cup. And I'd be really surprised if he didn't have a spell for keeping the pot warm until the tea is gone.

And then he'd just make sure you never run out.

Of course, if you have any interest in iced tea, you wouldn't need to worry about any of this. Because you can cold brew any type of tea. Leave a pitcher of it in the fridge over night and bam - tea all day.

HOWEVER. Since you did ask me what kind of face he would make, I'm going to subject you to my terrible art skills to demonstrate how I think it'd go. Now you can all see why I'm not an artist.

He's upset.

I mean, I would be too if someone drew me so badly. I'm sorry, Barb. My MC is an artist, but I'm not, I'm afraid. I just realized I forgot to give him a nose. I MEAN that was totally on purpose, it's a style choice. Anyway, I hope the frown at least conveys how sad he is about you microwaving your tea lol.

I made an OC based off the glass flower event (I forgot it's actual name). River, otherwise known as 'Red' due to their red hair and eyes. They have the ability to grow plants/ control them, naturally and any other powers that the flower can do, they can too. I think Mammon said that the plant can grant wishes, they can too.

Naturally though, when demons got wind of a child that is essentially the flower that can make someone more powerful than diavolo absolute chaos broke loose. Luckily red was smart enough to make a disguise, they died their hair black with red highlights and green eyes. (They have the ability to change their eye color from Red to green and even brown as a combination of the two).

Unfortunately they were still found by barbatos, much to their dismay. They did take a liking to his color scheme though and diavolo's (mainly cause it kinda matched their own). They are aware of their powers and how dangerous they are but they still dislike being forced to stay at the castle.

Oh, nevermind. Barbatos lets them help with the garden and cooking.

It's gender fluid. It makes sense right? Plants don't have genders right? Barbatos allows them to eat the weeds in the garden straight up out of the garden but not often. He often gives them weeds as a snack (after he cleans them off properly of course)

Unsurprisingly, they can be found moon-bathing often (like sun bathing but in the moon) because plant instincts.

I'm sorry for OC spam, brain rot goes hard when stressed out. Eat, drink water, and sleep! Have a good day.

Hmmm it sounds like perhaps you need to make sure you're eating, drinking water, and sleeping! I hope you're taking care of yourself, bfb anon! Stress is really bad for your health long term, so try to relax if you can.

Anyway, my understanding is that most plants have both "male" and "female" parts and thus are able to reproduce that way. However, I do think there are plants that have separate male and female varieties of themselves. Though generally, it's got something to do with pollen and what not rather than the usual animal type reproduction. So I think you're good with saying plants are gender neutral!

It sounds a bit dangerous to have all the powers of Devildom plants... no wonder all the demons were after them! I love that they end up at the castle and that they're happy being there because they can help with the garden. I am also enjoying the moon-bathing!

I hope Barbatos takes good care of them!

To answer your question about Mystery's relationships with the others, basically in a relationship with all them(minus Luke of course because he is our son), and in my daydreams zey usually end up being married to Dia and some other characters from other pieces of media(as I mentioned before, multi fandom oc), and like because of the whole being a ruler zemself zey usually have one of zeir other spouses stay with zem in zeir kingdom and they will just split time between there and the kingdoms/homes of other partners

😅also the amount of kids I've given zem in my daydreams, good grief, almost on par with "19 kids and counting" like obviously at minimum 1 heir per kingdom, but like yikes, one daydream I think I gave zem like around 10 kids, 3 sets of twins, and 4 others, the last one zey had like one with all of the brothers+datables(again obviously minus Luke), and also like 2-3 other kids as well

Oh also before I forgor, zey tend to shy away from singing around others for the same reason I was in my lurky corner my first inbox submission ✨️social anxiety ✨️, like this bish will straight up form a sound proof barrier around zemself and everything just so no one can hear them listening to zeir music(not because zey don't want others hearing the music, couldn't care less about that, it's because gets flustered about others hearing zem sing)

I totally get the social anxiety situation lol. I'd do the same thing, probably. I live alone so I can blast my music and sing at the top of my lungs without worrying about anyone hearing me. But when I didn't live alone, you can be sure I did not do that ever. If I could create a sound proof barrier around myself, I totally would.

Nope! They are one in a million! Kinda like barbatos. They can stomach just about anything, I mean you would be able to as well if you traveled through time and space for two years straight. They still aren't named. My brain is gonna explode with nameless Oc's soon.

Ohhh okay so no having to contend with alternate universe versions of themselves lol. That's probably for the best, I suspect that could get messy.

It sometimes takes me a bit to find names for OCs, but honestly naming them is one of my favorite things. It's a little annoying sometimes when I can't find a name that I feel really fits them. But for the most part, I find it fun! I am too familiar with all the name websites... and for a long time, Google thought I was pregnant because I was always looking up names. Kept giving me ads for baby stuff. I even got formula samples in the mail once. Like what the heck? I mean, I dunno, maybe that had nothing to do with Google. But I don't use Google anymore so that seems to have helped lol.

I get why Diavolo and Simeon would be hard to read... Simeon especially seems to be very good at hiding his true feelings. Diavolo can kinda switch into different modes depending on what he's doing, too. So I imagine they'd both be tricky!

I saw the discussion of wanting a muscular mommy mc or love interest, and I'm actually down for that. Like, for real, give us a wonder woman-like character to cherish and wish to be crushed by her...😩

Do I think the devs will give us a muscular mommy love interest? No, I'm afraid I do not... unfortunately.

I mean, Thirteen is the closest we have and she's not even officially a love interest. I absolutely love her. But she's the only female in a cast of 15 and she's not even dateable.

Will they eventually make her dateable? I sure as hell hope so. But it's been YEARS and it hasn't happened yet.

So I feel like if they even give us another female character (with an actual sprite, so I'm not counting characters like Lilith and Maddi and whoever else), it's gonna be FOREVER before we get to date them.

I think the brothers would all enjoy a muscular lady MC.

Nobody can convince me that Lucifer wouldn't enjoy being manhandled by someone stronger than him.

Mammon? Hahaha just imagine. I see him acting like it's no big deal at first, but then he's like bragging about it. Look at how hot and muscular MC is!

Belphie is like oh great female Beel. Just wants to be in the middle of the muscle sandwich. Naps on MC all the time. Gets carried around by MC all the time, too. Because he's always falling asleep on her.

Regarding the conversation about the om og cast and their previous sexual/romantic relationships

While it's possible they have had their fair amount of fun before mc I really do believe that at some point they got bored of having any without any emotional depth to the relationship

Like they will try it few times and see there was no actual benefit from it beside the release that they could do themselves without going through the trouble of pretending to like someone

From my personal experience the deeper the relationship the better it feels during sex lol and if these guys love for million years on end after awhile it will get boring

Thats my flow of thought anyway

I mostly think it's unlikely that they haven't done anything ever considering how old they all are. I very much think that if they're doing hookups or one night stands, it's an "as the opportunity arises" sorta thing. Like I don't think any of them are going out looking for such encounters. (Not even Asmo... I think he probably gets plenty of people coming onto him so if he's interested, he doesn't have to go find someone himself.)

In my opinion, the point of casual sex is that you don't have to pretend to like someone and all that. It's just an encounter where two people are horny and that's it. And I kinda suspect there are less repercussions for such a lifestyle for demons. So it seems likely to me that they would all have such moments come up, especially considering how famous they all are and everything.

But I think that deeper relationships are harder for them. It's certainly a different experience to have sex with someone you love, but most of those guys strike me as very protective of themselves and each other for various reasons. I think some of them have had serious relationships, but I just think they're few and far between.

I'm sure it gets boring after a while. And I suspect a lot of them have other interests that they'd rather focus their energy on. But I also think it probably ebbs and flows somewhat.

The thing is, it's hard to say since they're demons. They might not have the same kind of sexual drive that humans have in general. Maybe it's perfectly normal for demons to never have sex until they find their one and only. Maybe demons mate for life. Maybe they're the complete opposite and have crazy high libidos and need to have sex every other day or they explode. I mean, I'm just saying it can pretty much be whatever you want lol!

In the end, I think it's all up to individual interpretation! I mostly based mine on my own personal preferences. Though now I'm kinda thinking I should get more creative with it, I love the idea of exploding being a consequence lol.

And OH yes, I am in fact very interesting in name meanings! I love information like that, it's fascinating! So if you wish to share, please do!

Solomon: Our OG S1 Savior

Disclaimer!

This post is my interpretation of Solomon’s scenes in ObeyMe OG S1. It is not concrete and I have a large pro-Solomon bia. I would recommend replaying S1 of OM to come to your own conclusions!

First Introductions

When we first meet Solomon it’s the moment two demons openly plan to eat us. This is when he introduces himself, in classic Solomon fashion he’s hard to write down. If you ask for help he questions why you’d need his help if you have Mammon, he then goes to questions why Mammon was assigned in the first place. He assumes Lucifer is messing with MC (although he’s plain wrong here it’s a reasonable assumption) and says if MC was in any actual danger then he’d step in.

Which funnily enough, is exactly what he does in this scene. Because after we’re done talking the demons that wanted to eat us are gone.

Our Knight In Flowing Cloak

Easily the best Solomon moment in S1!

Lucifer threatens us, demanding we tell him what we’re planning. No matter what we say he doesn’t respond kindly. Before the conversation can continue to escalate Solomon once again steps in to protect us from a demon.

Helping Us Forge Pacts

These are the scenes that are mostly up to interpretation. If your interpretation of these scenes is different than mine—that’s ok!

Levi

Solomon visits Levi in his room for whatever reason, he then says Levi’s secret phrase so happeningly in front of MC and Mammon.

You also have the option of choosing Simeon or Solomon’s help for the quiz. If you choose Solomon he lends you an extremely rare TSL item that even Levi assumedly doesn’t own.

He does this without asking anything in return.

Asmo

Solomon let’s MC borrow his powers out of sheer curiosity. Thanks to this MC is able to summon Asmo and lend him incredible power. Asmo then becomes very intrigued and wants to forge a pact with MC.

Interesting thing to note here, Solomon brings the conversation to Asmo. Who then says he wants to forge a pact with MC.

Belphie

Solomon runs into MC and Belphie out on a shopping trip trying to find Diavolo a birthday gift. Solomon comments on how close they have gotten suddenly and then he asks if Belphie is planning to forge a pact with MC. Belphie doesn’t answer the question initially, thinking it through. Solomon then asks if he’d like to forge a pact with him, which he immediately rejects. Solomon expected to be rejected yet he still asked, why?

Solomon then asks Belphie about how he was glancing at MC to gauge their reaction the entire interaction, and asks him why.

Solomon has just broadcasted to MC that Belphie is very interested in forging a pact with them.

Conclusion

While it’s more obvious Solomon in Nightbringer is looking out for MC, it seems he’s always been looking out for MC even from the very time they met.
