Miss Manager is Shy and Cute 🥹

Inarizaki x shy and cute! Female manager (she/her pronoun)

Warnings: Atsumu starts off as a butthole but we reform him, fluff

A/N: I wrote a headcanon set earlier with a shy reader and well, now I think I’m a shy reader expect 💅 so here’s one of my favs with a shy manager 😌

Oof- you good, girl?

Seriously this team is like the opposite of shy and calm

I wouldn’t say they are Karasuno level but they get HYPED

Now, many of them had given up the dream of ever having a female manager

They were prepared to brave it alone (namely Kita, Aran, Omimi, Akashi, Suna, Ginjima, etc)

They knew what their problem was…

Well PROBLEMS

Atsumu and Osamu

But it’s fine because they were efficient 💅

Kita did everything and well, Kita did everything

But that all changed when one day our precious Angel, Riseki, met someone new 👀

You see, you were the new girl in school

A curse honestly

Being the new kid is never easy, trying to find friends or fit in with everyone is so hard

And to top it off, you were ridiculously shy and a wallflower

It’s not that you didn’t want to make friends but your shy, cute nature made it difficult

When you first joined Riseki’s class, he thought you were rather cute

You kept to yourself, didn’t bother anyone

You were smart and capable

And most importantly, you had absolutely NO CLUE who the Miya twins were 😌

Riseki had watched you a few times, and you showed a lot of promise

You seemed to be able to ignore all the Miya chat surrounding you

You didn’t seem bothered by the fan girls

And most importantly, when a Miya fight would break out, you’d simply ✨ignore ✨ it

The problem was that Riseki knew you were shy

You’d never speak up in class, you barely talked to anyone

But he also knew this was his opportunity

So what does he do? Well he confides in Kita

“Hey Kita, so I think I might have found us a potential manager?”

Kita 👉🏻😐😑 *not convinced or optimistic whatsoever*

“Is this person a teenage girl?” Kita asks in return

“Yes but-”

Kita 👉🏻 No 🫶🏻🥰

“Here me out tho, she’s a transfer student and I’ve been keeping an eye on her,” Riseki says

Kita 👉🏻🤨 creepy but ight-

“She has shown zero reaction to the Miyas at all! Like none, not even a second glance!” He says

Kita 👉🏻 tell me more…

Riseki goes on to explain more about you and Kita agrees to give you a small trial run

Ok now that Kita is convinced, all Riseki needs to do is ask you

Simple right?

“Hey Yn!” He yells as you freeze

You rn 👉🏻😐😳

Please you are looking around like “is he talking to me? Am I Yn?”

“Hey I was wondering if you had a club yet?” He asked as you just stared 👁️👄👁️

Please Yn, function

Riseki realizes that he probably came in way too strong, so he backs up a bit

“Umm I’m sorry to come at you so strong but I was wondering if you needed a club? The boys volleyball team is looking for a manager and I think you’d be perfect,” he says as your eyes widen even more

Please blink before your eyes dry up

“Ohh umm I don’t think I umm- I’m not sure I’d be good- I don’t play volleyball or know anything really,” you say as you blush heavily

Riseki is DYING at how cute you are 😭

“It’s ok Yn! I can teach you everything and the guys, wellmostoftheguys, are super helpful!” He says as you ponder for a bit

Maybe this is just what you need? You never take chances like this and maybe now is the time to start branching out

“Umm I guess I can try,” you say, a tiny smile lighting up your face as Riseki dies inside 😭

After school, he brings you to practice

The gym is huge and all the guys in it are huge as well

You start to second guess your decision

Maybe you aren’t cut out to be social, yeah maybe you’ll just be shy forever

Suddenly you are forced out of you thoughts when you are approached by four guys

You quickly take refuge behind Riseki and peer out from behind him as the boys all smile at you

“Kita, Aran, Omimi, Akagi- this is Yn! Yn these are our third years!” Riseki says as you blush hard and peek out from behind him

“Umm hello, I’m YN from class 1-4. It’s very n-nice to meet y-you,” you stutter out as the third years practically perish

How the heck are you so freaking cute?? 😭

“It’s nice to meet you YN, I’m Kita, the captain. Thank you so much for coming to meet with us,” Kita says, already impressed that you aren’t making waves or causing any disruptions

“T-thank you for having me,” you say as you stand next to Riseki now, a little more confident

“So Yn, do you know anything about volleyball?” Aran asks as you shake your head

“Not really but I’m a pretty fast learner,” you say as the boys all nod

Suddenly, a rouge ball comes flying out of nowhere as you quickly take cover as Akagi stops it from hitting you

“Are you ok Yn?” Kita asks as you nod

“I’m fine thank you,” you say before being approached by a boy with a yellowish blonde hair color

“Hey girls aren’t allowed in the gym!” He shouts as you reeled back a bit

Who was this extremely rude person?

“Shut up ya idiot! Obviously she’s talking to the captain!” A silver toned man says

“Yeah well I don’t need to be interrupted by any squealing pigs during my serves so get out of here!” He shouts at you as you quietly back up

“ATSUMU! Knock it off, stop being so rude! This isn’t one of your fan girls, this is Yn and she’s going to be our trial manager!” Kita scolds the yellowish blonde as he scoffs

“This? This is going to be our manager? She’s tiny and looks like she’s afraid of her own shadow! How is she going to ever be a manager for a powerhouse?” Atsumu says as you whince a little

Man he was a jerk 😒

“Damn Sumu, you’re being a jerk! Leave the poor girl alone,” a tall black haired man says

“Suna’s right! She didn’t do anything to you,” Omimi says as Atsumu stares at you

“She’s literally taking up space! Like how is she going to even be helpful?” Atsumu says as you finally lose it

“Excuse me,” you say, a little anger and agitation now clear on your voice

Everyone 👉🏻👀

“Yes, I maybe a little shy and skittish at times but it’s extremely rude of you to judge someone you haven’t even been introduced to,” you say as the men all look at you

Kita is like mentally taking notes

Suna has his phone out and recording 📱

Riseki is like “who is this?”

“My name is Yn and I’m a first year. I might not be the best but I’m smart and I learn quickly. If I interrupted your practice, I apologize but I won’t stand here and be treated with disrespect,” you say as you bow and take your leave

Oohhhh Kita and Riseki are BIG MAD

Kita doesn’t say anything, he just GLARES at Atsumu

Riseki turns and goes after you but not before giving Atsumu the death glare of a lifetime

Aran, Omimi and Akagi are ready to kill

Suna is still recording 📱

Ginjima has now joined the pack and is wondering what the heck is going on

And Osamu, well Osamu is 👀 👇🏻

“YOU TYRANNICAL PIGGGGG!” He shouts as he kicks Atsumu in the back

But this time, nobody stops him from beating up his brother

The team 👉🏻 😙🎶

Meanwhile-

“YN wait! Please wait- I’m so sorry about Atsumu!” Riseki says apologizing to you

“Riseki, I’m sorry but I can’t-,”

“Please Yn! PLEASE! Please just give us a shot! I promise, we will kick Atsumu off the team if we have to just please be our manager!” Riseki says, on his knees BEGGING

Dang these guys really want a manager 😅

You sign, “I’ll do a trial run if it means that much to you.”

Riseki 👉🏻😐😳🥹 really?!?

You smile and nod a little

Riseki pulls you in for a deep hug 🫂 as you simply blush

And this began your journey as Inarizaki’s sweet manager

I wish I could say it was all smooth sailing but alas, Atsumu is still on the team 🙄

You aren’t sure why but at first, he’s just not nice at all

Like he refuses to take a towel from you, or even drink the water you hand him

He kind of makes you miserable

He knows how shy you are so he often puts you on the spot just to embarrass you

“Hey Yn do you know what that was called?” He says as he slams a serve over

Omimi and Akagi 👉🏻🙄 here we go…

Kita 👉🏻 😐😑 Atsumu-

Osamu 👉🏻 just say the word Yn 🙎‍♂️🤛🏻

Suna 👉🏻👀📱

“Umm a serve ace right?” You shyly respond

“Well would you look at that, she can learn,” Atsumu laughs as he walks away

Everyone is GLARING at Sumu rn

Literally Riseki was not joking when he said they would kick him off the team Yn

Idk if you bruised his ego or what Yn but man’s has it out for you 😅

However, one thing about Atsumu is that you can win the man over

It’s simple really… 🙌🏻 praise 🙌🏻

And you do just that

“Sumu your sets are really off today!” Aran says as Atsumu glares at him

“Yeah dude you literally almost flubbed our quick,” Suna says as Atsumu rolls his eyes and walks away

He sits on the bench, putting a towel over his head as he ponders

He’s not sure what’s wrong with him today but he’s been off all day

You noticed something was off, thinking maybe he was just having a bad day

But then you realized that Atsumu Miya wasn’t use to having bad days

So you decide to extend an olive branch

You walk over the him as he sits on the bench

“YN wait!” Osamu tries to stop you but he can’t

Suna’s eyes widen in fear for your life as Kita gets ready to save you from certain destruction

You calmly sit beside Atsumu as he turns his head and glares at you

You smile a little and place your hand on his gently

The team 👉🏻😳😲

“Everyone has bad days Atsumu. If we didn’t have bad days, we’d never get better. I still think you’re an amazing setter and if you ever need a hug, I’m here for you,” you say as Atsumu’s eyes widen

Atsumu is to stunned to speak

Seriously he was so mean to you and yet, you were still so nice to him

You smile and stand up, walking back to practice when it happens 🫣

Two strong arms grasp you from behind as a warmth radiates around you

You smile a little, grabbing his arms and squeezing

“Thanks Yn,” Atsumu says as he lets go and walks back into the court

The entire team is too stunned to speak

You say nothing as you go back to your job, handling towels, volleyballs and notes

“Did that just happen?” Ginjima asks

“I think so? Is this a dream?” Omimi responds

“Holy crap Atsumu actually has a heart?” Suna says

“OF COURSE I HAVE A HEART YA IDIOT!” Atsumu screams from the court

“Not like anyone could every tell ya grinch!” Osamu responds

“EXCUSE YOU SIR?!? WE ALL HAVE BAD DAYS, IF WE DISNT HOW WOULD WE EVER GET BETTER!” Atsumu responds

“YN literally just told you that ya dummy!” Ginjima says, rolling his eyes 🙄

The guys go back to practice

This time, Atsumu is much more on point

You smile and clap as the boys all kill it in practice

You don’t cheer loud, simply clap and smile 😊

It’s literally giving them life Yn!

Now when it came time for tournaments, you can’t say you weren’t nervous

This was your first time around so many people

You were still pretty shy, even thought you’d become friends with the entire volleyball team

Literally they were so protective of their shy little manager 🥹

“Ok is everyone here?” Kita asks as you nod

You had been walking in back with Suna, making sure all the members stayed together

“Ok let’s go get warmed up!” Kita shouted as the guys all nodded and followed

You were walking when suddenly, your notebook fell and your papers scattered everywhere

“Crap!” You silently said as you kneeled down to pick them up

However what you failed to notice was that the team had continued to walk

You see where I’m going with this 👀

“Hey guys- oh no!” You said as you stood up, realizing there was every color of jersey surrounding you BUT black and white

You 👉🏻😐😳😢

“Ok Yn calm down, the team is somewhere,” you silently muttered to yourself as you wandered around giants

You felt like crying, scared and nervous because there were so many people around

You had to ask someone for help

Suddenly, you bumped into the back of someone

“I’m so sorry!” You said, tears in your eyes as she looked at you

“Oh it’s fine, hey are you ok?” She asked, gorgeous blue eyes watching you

You shook your head, eyes meeting hers

“Hey Kiyoko, I’ve got the bento boxes all sorted!” A blonde girl said, walking up to you

“What team do you work with?” The girl named Kiyoko asked

“I-I’m with Inarizaki,” you said as they both smiled

“Come with me and Yachi, we can take you to the gym,” Kiyoko said as Yachi stood beside you

“Thank you so much,” you say bashfully to the two pretty girls

Meanwhile…

“Ok Riseki, Ginjima can you help YN fill up the water bottles please?” Kita asks as they nod and look over to you

Only you’re not there 😅

They start looking all over for their precious bby

Please Ginjima even looks under his shoes incase he stepped on you 😭

“Umm Kita,” Riseki interrupts

“Yes,” Kita says looking at him

“YNs not here,” Riseki says as everyone stops

“What the hell? Where is she?” Kita says looking around everywhere for you

“Suna weren’t you walking with her?” Aran asks as Suna gulps

“She was with me just a a minute ago!” Suna says, now panicking too

“Oh my god and I was just starting to actually like her and you lost her?!?” Atsumu says as Osamu smacks the back of his head

Then they hear their opponents say something

“Has anyone seen Kiyoko and Yachi?” Their team captain says

“OH MY GOD WE HAVE A MANAGER KIDNAPPER!!!” Riseki yells as two of Karasunos memebers RUN from the gym

“We have to find Yn!” Aran shouts following them with the rest of the team

All that remains in the gym is Kita and Karasuno’s captain, Daichi

“We could just text them,” Daichi says as Kita nods

Back with you, you are enjoying talking with the two Karasuno managers

They both seem a little shy like you but they still manage a strong school

“The gym is just up this way-” Kiyoko says when you hear it

At first, it sounds like a stampede of elephants

Then you realize it’s just like 15 teenage boys racing toward you 😅

“YN OH MY GOD WE FOUND YOU!” Riseki says pulling you into a hug as your boys gather around you

“Are you hurt? Do you need help? Are you hungry?” Aran says panicking as you watch Kiyoko and Yachi fight off their team

You giggle a little, the boys taken a back

“I’m fine guys, I actually just made some friends!” You says smiling at Kiyoko and Yachi

Inarizaki rn 👉🏻😐😳🥹 our baby is growing up!

“Thanks Kiyoko and Yachi! I’ll see you in the gym!” You say, waving to the two girls as they follow you

You look over at Riseki and give him the biggest hug

Riseki rn 👉🏻😳

“Thanks for inviting me to be your team manager! Now let’s go kick some butt!” You say sweetly as the team stops

Jax x timid!reader

A request from ao3! Since I jumped aboard the bandwagon oops

Ever since you arrived at the digital circus, you’ve been spending a lot of time around Jax, which nobody knew why, since they soon found out how timid you are, and Jax is… quite the opposite. Not even you know why you spend time with him. Whenever Caine gives you activities to do, you will usually help Jax with them, unless you get pulled along by one of the others, or if he’s suddenly disappeared in the middle of the activity.

It was another day, you had gotten up from a nap; you knew you didn’t really have to sleep, but it felt nice to just close your eyes for a while. You were going to meet up with the others, so you left your room, closing the door behind you, and went to where you would usually meet up. However, Caine had another activity for you to do.

“I have come to a decision! Today is going to be a little different, as I want to make Y/n here a little more comfortable.”

“And you didn’t think to do that when they first got here?” You glanced over at Jax, who had been standing beside you this whole time.

“Oh never mind that, Jax! Anyways! We’re doing something a little simple this time around! There are papers scattered around the place, and I want you all to find them and make something out of it! Can be anything!”

“That is your activity? That… is super (meep!) lame.” You heard Zooble say behind you. You actually were pretty glad it was something tame this time around

“Well that’s the activity, and I’m not changing it! Now have fun!” And with that, Caine disappeared like usual. You looked back at the others, and before you could say anything, you heard Zooble speak up

“Yeah, I’m not doing this (beep!). You know where to find me if you need me.” Figures. You looked back at Jax, hoping that he would do this activity with you.

“What are you giving me that look for, Y/n?” He asked as he noticed you looking at him. “You… want me to do this activity with you?”

“If you don’t want to then I understand.” You said just loud enough for him to hear as you pressed your fingers together nervously. Jax was going to say something, but noticed the look Ragatha gave him of “you better not hurt their feelings or I’ll hurt you,” which normally wouldn’t affect him, but he had a feeling that if he didn’t say yes, then she was actually going to hurt him.

“Alright, we can do the activity together.”

“Really?” Your eyes lit up. “Let’s get to looking then..!” You two started walking to find some paper that Caine had scattered around. As the two of you walked, Jax was a bit lost in thought as he occasionally glanced over at you, thinking about how you spend so much time with him and that he actually didn’t mind it. While he won’t say this to you out loud, he actually thinks you’re kind of cute, despite how timid you are. Jax was brought out of his thoughts as you spoke up,

“I found some!” You held up several sheets of paper, some were regular sheets of paper, while some were colored, that you had found after wandering the different rooms.

“That’s great, Y/n. Now come on, let’s go find a place to sit and just… I dunno, create whatever.” You nodded and followed after him. As you were walking, you were thinking of what you wanted to do with the paper, but occasionally your thoughts would focus on Jax. You were afraid to tell him, but you enjoyed being around him, despite how you were practically polar opposites, him being a little smug and confident, while you were timid and not so confident. You may or may not have feelings for him, but there was no way you could ever tell him that either.

You squeaked a bit as you suddenly bumped into Jax, looking up at him.

“Is something wrong..?” You asked him, holding the sheets of paper close to your body.

“Nah, was just going to ask if this space will work?” You looked over to see a decent sized table in front of you. You nodded and went over to the table, setting the paper down in front of you, Jax sitting across from you. You grabbed one of the sheets of colored paper, which was (f/c), you started folding and bending the paper, and soon, you held up the origami swan in your hands, a faint smile on your face

“I haven’t done that in years.” Jax grabbed one of the papers that you set on the table and started folding and bending it… however, it seems he was having trouble.

“So you just want to watch me struggle, hmm?” He asked you as he glanced back up at you. You laughed a bit and moved closer to him.

“Here…” you took his hands into your own and showed him what you did, and the next thing you knew, you had helped him with an origami swan. “And there we go! Th..that’s what I did.”

“Thanks, Y/n.”

“Of course..! I..it’s not a problem, Jax.” You two went quiet as you grabbed another paper, doodling and other things. That is, until Jax spoke up once more.

“Y/n, can I ask you something?”

“Yeah? What’s up, Jax?” You looked up from the paper you were doodling on.

“Why do you like hanging around me? I mean, I ain’t complaining, just… curious.”

“Well…” was he onto you? No, there’s no way.

“Well?”

“Because I like you. I like hanging around you.” You glanced away from him, pressing your fingers together nervously, but stopped as he grabbed your hands.

“Are you being serious, Y/n?”

“Y…yes.” Now you were even more nervous. Was he going to tell you to stop hanging out with him??

“Good, because I like you too.” You felt your hair being ruffled as Jax chuckled softly.

“Wait… what?”

“What? I said I like you too.”

“You really do?!”

“Yes. I do.” You swore you thought you were going to cry, but you shook your head, got up and over to him, hugging him.

“Whoa, hey..!” He laughed a bit, caught off guard by your sudden hug, but eventually hugged you back.

“S..sorry, I just didn’t think you’d feel the same way.”

“It’s alright, Y/n. Come on, show me how to make other origami things.”

“Oh, okay..!” You nodded and you two spent the next several hours making origami and talking about whatever came to mind, bringing you two even closer together.

a/n: hiii🧚🏻anon <3 i hope this is what you envisioned! it was super fun to write and im definitely in my bradley era. there's also a few little easter eggs thrown in there. i hope you enjoy and excuse some of the shitty writing in a few parts, i only read through this twice.

The aftermath of the suicide mission was spent in multiple bars (mainly the Hard Deck) and getting drunk beyond belief. That led to a variety of messy pool games, slurred singing and some potentially regretful decisions.

One of those decisions was you kissing Rooster right after you beat his ass at pool. The rush of adrenaline and tequila gave you the confidence you had been lacking since you met him during his first round at Top Gun.

Surprisingly that decision was not one you regretted the morning after. Or the week after… or the month after. Rooster had kissed you back with a fire that had you stumbling around near drunk on his lips alone for the days afterward.

The Navy had decided to make a special detachment after the success of the mission so you were all stationed at Top Gun for the foreseeable future. They also managed to promote Maverick (not without a whole lot of persuading) so he was now overseeing the detachment.

“This is nice.” You muttered as your eyes blearily opened. The sun was shining through the curtains and a heavy arm was settled over your arm.

“Hmm too early.” Rooster mumbled from his spot next to you.

“Rooster, we have the barbeque today… you said we were telling Mav today.”

“Oh shit, right.” He groaned out before cuddling back into you. You hated having to leave this little cocoon of warmth but you really had to get going.

“Baby…”

“Yes, yup, getting up now.”

It took another twenty minutes before you finally got out of bed and started to make coffee and toast. The sound of running water greeted your ears as you got ready for the day and drank your coffee while scrolling through your phone.

“Thanks for breakfast.” Bradley said as he wrapped his arms around your shoulders and gave you a quick peck.

“No problem, love. Ready to go?”

“Yup.”

The blue bronco sped through the streets of San Diego. The sun warmed up your skin and a smile was painted on your face as you chatted with Rooster. Today was going to be good.

“We’re here.” Bradley announced as he parked in front of Penny’s house. A few familiar cars were also parked outside, it seemed like you were the last to arrive.

“I told you we were going to be late.” You chidded as you lightly slapped his shoulder.

“Yeah yeah.” Bradley said with a smile on his face before pulling you into him and kissing you in an effort to distract you.

“Oh god, why did you two ever get together?” The familiar voice of Hangman cut the moment short, making the both of you roll your eyes.

“Hello there Bagman, I was hoping you fell off a cliff on the way here.”

“Well hello there Royal aren’t you as cheery as ever.”

“Fuck off, Bagman.” Rooster said from next to you.

“Gladly, I do not need to watch your excessive PDA.”

“I’m surprised you even know what the word excessive means.” You called as he walked towards the house, Jake only sent you the bird without looking back.

“Where was I?” Bradley muttered as he cradled your face and was about to kiss you again when you laughed.

“Bradley, darling, even if I would love to keep doing this, we really have to go in.”

“Alright, but we’re finishing this later.”

You carried the six pack of beer that Bradley insisted on bringing and made your way over to where the smoke from the barbeque was emanating from. Bradley finished locking up the car and threw his arm over your shoulders.

“You ready?” You nodded in answer to his question and suddenly the smell of hamburgers permeated your senses.

“Royal, Rooster! I’m so glad you could make it. Make yourselves at home.” Penny said with a bright smile as she welcomed the two of you.

“Thanks for inviting us, Penny. We brought beer!” You said as you passed her the six pack.

“With the rate they’re drinking it, it would be a miracle if I have any alcohol left in this house.” You laughed and Penny gave you both a smile before disappearing into the house to drop off the beer.

“You want to go find Mav?”

“Yeah, do you want to come?”

“No, you go. I’ll go talk to Bob, I started that show he recommended.”

“You sure?”

“Yeah, go talk to Mav, Bradley. Call me over when you’re ready.” Bradley smiled and gave you a grateful look before walking over to the grill. You let out a deep breath and felt a surge of nervousness course through your body. Meeting the parents was never something you particularly enjoyed, even if you had already met Mav a billion times, you never met him in the capacity of being a partner.

“Hey Bob.”

“Royal. How are you?” Bob asked as he passed you a beer from one of the tables.

“Good, nervous.”

“Finally telling Mav?”

“Yeah, is it that noticeable?”

“Not really.”

“You really are a stealth pilot, Bob.” Bob rolled his eyes as he took a swig of beer and knocked his shoulder against yours. That was when you noticed Bradley waving at you from next to Mav. You nodded and said bye to Bob before weaving your way through your squad to greet him.

“Hey Mav, Rooster.” You said, greeting them.

“So what are your intentions with Bradley, Royal?” Mav said with raised eyebrows and an intense look in his eyes that had your brain screeching to a halt.

“Uhh.” A few seconds later, Mav’s face contorted and he started laughing hysterically.

“God your face! Don’t worry about it, kid. I’m pretty sure I should be interrogating Bradley here about his intentions with you.”

“Hey!” Bradley yelled, making you and Mav chuckle.

You were sitting in the sweltering briefing room next to Bradley. Cyclone was standing at the front of the room talking about the new assignment and giving the training parameters but your mind was elsewhere.

Bradley kept rubbing circles on your exposed forearm and it was driving you insane. You kept nudging his knee with yours but that only seemed to urge him to keep going.

“Royal, is there a problem?” Your eyes flew up to meet Cyclone’s and a feeling of dread seemed to seep out of your pores.

“No, sir.”

“Well then if you wouldn’t mind keeping your flirting to a minimum, it would be greatly appreciated.”

Snickers filled the room and you turned to look at Bradley with a menacing look in your eyes. You lightly punched his arm and settled back into your chair.

“Sorry.” Bradley whispered, not sounding sorry at all.

“Oh shut up.”

It was a routine practice flight, Mav had randomly pulled names and paired people up so they could make their way through the planned course.

You and Rooster had made it through in record time and were now loudly celebrating over the coms.

“Fuck yeah!”

“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” Rooster asked as you circled back around.

“Oh definitely.” You shared a laugh before you flew over to the control tower. You caught a glimpse of Mav and Cyclone in the window before flying behind Rooster as the two of you buzzed the tower.

“Royal! Rooster!” The admonishing voice of Cyclone bled through the coms.

“God I really was a little shit when I was younger.” Maverick said through the coms as he let out an exasperated sigh.

You and Rooster just laughed and circled around a few times before landing, ready to be thoroughly lectured by Cyclone.

The squad had planned a trip after the newest mission… to Vegas. The entire trip there was incredibly chaotic because (*cough* Hangman *cough*) was scared of flying, even if he was literally a pilot.

When you all finally landed in Vegas it took another hour before everyone had found their bags and got into respective ubers. The hotel that Phoenix had booked was perfect, it had a huge bar as well as an extensive casino.

Sometime after drinking at least five martinis and a few shots you and Rooster disappeared from the group. Something no one noticed until the next morning. You spent the night cuddled up in your hotel room watching tv and coming up with the perfect plan.

The next morning the squad disgruntledly made their way to the breakfast bar, very hungover and missing several of its members.

“Uh guys, where are Royal and Rooster?” Bob murmured once everyone (minus the couple) had sat at one of the tables.

“I haven’t seen them since last night.”

“You don’t think…” Phoenix looked up from her plate that was stacked with pancakes and looked at Bob with a panicked look on her face.

“Someone call them.”

Before anyone could do that a simultaneous ping came from everyone’s phones. 2 new messages were displayed on the group chat.

Royal: When in Vegas…

The couple had ventured out into town around dawn and got a picture of one of the many Elvis churches that littered the streets. You weren’t actually getting married but the reactions of each of the Daggers and Mav was fucking priceless.

Hello pile one! Your s/o is definitely a strong person - not necessarily physically (could be) but I’m feeling more so that they have a strong core - mental and emotional strength. Self-confident and proud of their abilities and even physical shape, ready to perform feats any time. With their unwavering focus they have their eyes on their goal, to be on top. They can be very patient if they want to be but they must win by all means, they hate losing. Their energy is regal, they naturally demand respect. Their strife and energy is inspiring for some, for others it’s a bit intimidating. They can be quite calculating and like to think things through, but sometimes their impulses win them over. They surely don’t like dancing to someone else's tune, it’s just not for them lol. Even though they have great leadership qualities, they are more on the introverted spectrum - but definitely by no means shy. They don’t have a lot of close/intimate connection, not many know their inner core. Justice and fairness are also values they live by, they actually have nice intentions and want everyone to get along … omg i think they were actually a softie as a kid but life teached them the hard way :( . They truly just desire stability and balance, and they will fight as long as they can make these desires come true. They have high (and precious) ideals but sadly in the real world ideals rarely exist in pristine form and justice is elusive - forcing them (and everyone else) to have to make some decisions and to adjust once ideals and values. They have learned their lessons the hard way - or will their whole life. Hardworking, and also very prideful. I think they do care quite a bit about traditions and their reputation. I also feel like they can be pretty straightforward, blunt even. They mean what they say and say what they mean. They prioritize truth above all. They are usually active and assertive. No nonsense person - even when it comes to appearance. They prefer practicality and are more so unpretentious in their style. I think they love being physically active in all kinds of ways (iykwim lmao) - depending on what world their living in - I can also see them even enjoying fighting or battling other people (until all their energy is burn off/until their reach their limit and then training more and more).

Even emotionally they are honest. They have integrity and they don’t play mind games and are unafraid to admit that they’re wrong. Mature but not afraid to express themselves. Love matters and such are usually not on the front of their mind. Their surroundings might be quite demanding (many responsibilities, people who rely on them etc). If you are in a connection/relationship/friendship with them, they would always let you know where you stand with them/ where you’re heading with them. The type of person who will be clear about what they are looking for. With this person, it’s suggested that you take everything they say at face value. Physically, they mastered the art of looking effortless. Funnily enough they could have the certain “je ne sais quoi” vibe about them that many envy. They also give me the vibe of ‘They eat what they want when they want it, and they work out when they feel like it.’ I guess it has to do with their belief that life is short to base it around what others think is right and what not etc.

They are the type of person that is kinda apathetic about their general surroundings. Mhm maybe it’s just the fact that they are struggling with their own life and are too distracted by their own issues to worry about others. Emotionally they could also be a bit careless. They can come off as ungrateful and lacking in self-awareness. This person regardless of your DR setting I think is not as much concerned with larger social justice issues. This person may be very short-sighted in that sense. They refuse to get involved with situations unless they can directly benefit from it. If it doesn’t affect them, it is not of their concern lmao. Ok, this seems a bit harsh but I feel like this kind of selfish attitude is working like a shell for them. I said before that they maybe were very ‘soft and pure’ as a child and it could be that they were also quite sensitive, okay? And you know I suppose that life treated them too harshly which in turn made them cold and even apathetic. You know those villains in movies that were actually very kind as a child but abuse and what not made them get astray from their path. I’m not saying that your s/o is a villain or villainous but they just learned that caring too much about others or being too naive is not worth it in the end and will only hurt you. And I feel like they sometimes present themselves colder and harsher than they actually are to protect themselves. To be honest, I usually analyze the things I pick up and filter them accordingly but the first messages I be getting from them are all like ‘I’m indifferent. I don’t care about other people, I’m very cold towards others. I’m arrogant yada yada…’ which kinda seems like a self mantra or like affirmation you tell yourself where I am like why tf you being like this ?? lmao…So, yeah…again, it takes some time and lot’s of patience to feel comfortable enough to share parts of themselves. It could be that at some point in their life they hated themselves for their softer side. They wanted to become stronger and colder. They hated being on the receiving end of this harsh reality, they wanted to be on top, maybe they also wanted revenge of some sort. I think they kinda like showing their rough edges or intimidating others. Because you know, if people are intimidated by you they usually do not dare to disrespect you, right? It could also have to do with their pride and with them hating revealing any weakness of theirs.

Also, whatever they are working on in their life, their work life makes up a large portion of their identity. They take a lot of pride in the amount of work they put into their achievements. This might also not be very apparent to others but I feel like they often reach their limit, working for too long, too hard and just ending up really tired and burned out. I feel like they rarely engage in anything self-care related. However, I see that if there is something important to them, then they are 100% willing to put in the work. Not only are they hard-working in a professional sense, they’re willing to work on their relationships, spirituality, and self-improvement. They make an effort with their looks, and they work out. Their workaholism may negatively impact their health. And their ‘career’ ambitions usually motivate them to always appear presentable — just in case they run into anybody important. They could also be meticulous with their diet and health routines.

Emotionally, they work on their emotions and thoughts systematically. This person may enjoy journaling or chronicling their experiences. At some point in their life they will learn how to process their feelings in a constructive way. They generally understand that anything worthwhile takes work and time to build up, whether it’s a relationship or a business. If you’re romantically involved with this person, they could be the type who would be willing to go to couples therapy to work on your relationship issues. Hello pile two! Your s/o has a very calm energy. You might lose your sense of time while looking into their eyes lol. Something about their eyes or their gaze is special, mesmerizing even. They are very good at observing and analyzing; paying attention to details. There might be a tendency to overthink or over-analyze or just to take it to extremes at times - falling into traps of pettiness or obsession or being overly critical. This obviously not always the case but there MIGHT be a tendency. But all this observing is not for nothing, I see that they are very skilled and talented in what they do. I just heard ‘they eye of the storm’, boii ok they can be really really calm even when everything around them is in chaos (- maybe that’s their doing?? lmao), they can shut out any distraction in order to analyze what is truly going on. And they can be very tenacious and persistent while actualizing their plans. I already mentioned that they are very skilled in some way but they also have an artistic side to them. I am not sure what exactly it is - it might be different for each of your s/o’s - some might be creative with fashion, self expression, acting, with music or instruments or other creative tools while for example planning how to reach their goals. There is definitely something working behind the scenes, in hiding, under different names or with wearing masks (literally or metaphorical) - I think they learned in life that doing so usually works in their favor but it also at times limits their creativity and I feel like it created some (still unresolved) issues regarding self image and success. Hello! Dear pile three, your s/o surely is a person with a unique personality or they are quite unique or special to you/in your perception. One of the first things that I got about them is that they are a systems thinker, always figuring out how to get everything working together effectively. I can tell that they love well-built structures and nothing makes them happier than when everything is running smoothly and everyone is doing their part. By contrast, nothing annoys them more than when systems are poorly designed or built. You know they are the type of person that thinks that one never changes things by fighting the existing reality; to change something, you have to build a new model that makes the existing one obsolete. Once they understand the impact of a given action, they will never be able to ignore that problem until they have done their part to fix it.

They just excel at figuring things out and optimizing them. In fact, they have literally no tolerance in efficient things lmao. To be honest, it feels like it takes a bit of work to get them to work together. I think they have a slow internal processor (also very micro focused) - does that make sense? - either way that doesn't mean they’re stupid - in fact they are quite intelligent and have a sharp mind! Also, their sense of responsibility is quite strong. They’re always doing something and are quite stubborn/rigid in their ways - not very flexible. They are list makers and are all about the process. When things do not go as planned they can be very moody. In fact, the slightest interruption to a plan is enough to ruin their entire day (lmao I feel this). They are very detail oriented, for them specifics equal sincerity. They just have extremely high standards (often perfection) especially for themselves but also for other people). Even though they just want to improve the things around them, it might often seem to others that they are just overly critical - like nothing is good enough for them. I honestly feel like they do not get along well with others easily. They surely are incredibly loyal and also self denying. While it often doesn’t seem that way from an outsider perspective, they do tend to put everyone else's needs ahead of their own and if they're not careful they will become resentful of this because they feel the burden to do it. This means that they have a specific way in which they feel things should be done. If it does not go as planned or if it does not go in this way, they feel it is "wrong" and this irritates them which in my opinion is comprehensible if you understand how their mind works. Flexibility is not in the inherent skill set for them. If they find a method, they stick to it.

It is important to notice that their intention is truly to help other people; however, more often than not, it feels like criticism to those people but this is just because it is hard for others to understand your s/o. I truly think they are not good at expressing themselves. They might have suffered from this - like being misunderstood, people finding their presence ‘annoying’ - too strong, too negative - and therefore they might have always been excluded or rejected by their peer groups. Of course this might have played out differently for each of your s/o’s my pile three people. When people suffer from such intense need for perfection, they usually have grown up in an environment where their parental figures (or just the people around them) made them feel like ‘this level of perfection’ is the norm - and if they don’t reach this level they are ‘complete failures or just useless’. They might have been emotionally pressured from early on, probably not having experienced much ‘healthy’ love - I say this because if they have done well, they might have received some kind of superficial/fake ‘love’ but only for those moments until they would have ‘failed the expectations’ again. This screams toxic emotionally/mentally unstable or distant parents. I don’t want to go any deeper into their childhood, right? But there is a reason why people are the way they are. Your person probably has never been ‘seen’ the way they truly are, never been understood - they just lived for someone else, constantly working hard, bearing the pressure, just to help someone else, to reach those imposed expectations, just to receive love and maybe even an approval for their existence. They always feel so much weight on their shoulders. So, to give you some tips, try not to take offense when they are serious and hyper focused. And, know that it is important to them that you appreciate their contributions. They value logic and need everything to make sense, so be sure you explain your point thoroughly. And finally, if you seem unstructured, or “willy nilly” to them this will create anxiety and possibly even a lack of trust! So, be careful with this. Show them respect by respecting their need for quality, logic, and structure. This person is probably wise beyond their years. This might surprise you at first. Behind their normal facade, they may have a lot of wisdom to share.

Even though their past might seem a little extreme, I don’t think they are living in the past or are stuck in the past - the past experiences don’t embitter this person (I don’t think that they blame anyone from their past - they rather would blame themselves), their experiences just make them more cautious and intentional. Based on their energy it seemed like they’re feeling apologetic towards you and are being quite hard on themselves because of what happened/will happen. If all of the Disney Princesses live in Snow White's world, do you think the Magic Mirror would still declare Snow White as "The Fairest One of All"?

Yes, I do. I think Snow White is Fairest of All because her beauty is the outward version of her purity and innocence. And there’s no other Disney Princess who has more purity and innocence than Snow White.

I mean, the closest you could get, story-wise, would be Aurora. She’s magically gifted with rare beauty that’s symbolic of the rebirth of springtime. That’s quite the beauty classification!

She’s pretty innocent and pure, too—the tiniest glimpse that she might not be as pure as Snow White is the fact that she’s willing to complain about her lot in life, or about the fairies being overprotective, and has a little mischief in her. But even that is kind of a stretch.

What isn’t a stretch, though, is Snow White being so full of love to give that it splashes everywhere. Aurora’s scenes with the animals are all about her confiding in them and playing with them. But Snow White is decidedly motherly with her animal friends. She doesn’t just get their friendship and company—she gives. She teaches them how to clean, and helps them when they’re lost, that sort of thing. Even more loving with the Dwarfs.

So Snow White does good, and that’s part of the beauty of what’s inside of her causing her outside appearance to be beautiful. Aurora, as wonderful as she is, doesn’t do a lot of good. She makes very few decisions that show how loving and kind she can be.

Other than being respectful and obedient and obviously super-fond of her fairy caretakers. It takes a special kind of love to obey three old women who tell you that you have to abandon all your animal friends and the one true love you just met to run a kingdom, instead. I would’ve said “no, I’m not going, and here are all my suppressed bitter feelings about how you keep treating me like a child.”

But even though she’s devastated, she gives up the dream that just came true and fulfills her role as crown princess, instead. I don’t want anyone walking away from this post seeing any shade thrown on Aurora. The purpose of her character was very symbolic.

She wasn’t supposed to grow and change. She wasn’t even supposed to inspire change in others. She was supposed to represent Value. That’s it. She’s precious to everyone around her. She’s worth protecting, sacrificing for, and saving. She’s everyone’s daughter, everyone’s dearest, she’s all the gentleness and beauty and hope for the future, personified.

I could do another post analyzing Sleeping Beauty (though to be honest with you, it’s such an old and incredible fairy tale that I’d be a little intimidated.) But anywho, to answer this question, Snow White would still be Fairest of All because, I think, in the story, ther purity and innocence is what makes her so outwardly beautiful, and none of the other princesses are as pure or innocent. Aurora and Cinderella come close, and then Belle.

EDIT: It would be cool to see them all in one place, though, wouldn’t it? Not for, like, Pocket Princess antics or anything like that. Or anything too sprawly and intertwined, like Once Upon a Time. But if there were a way to neatly, carefully tell a story with that many princesses, and what they inspire in others, and why they befriend and what they teach to one another…without it being a total talking-head-fest…that would be neat.

I’m not sure if user was looking for an answer here (if you weren’t, sorry oops), but I’ve been thinking about this for a long time and wanted to share my thoughts and drop some lore ehehe.

Spoilers ahead probably.

We were a little vague in this post, lol, but it was actually Draxum who performed heart surgery on One. Two built and programmed the EPCVI and what I like to call the Gate, which is sort of a protective hatch that lets Two access the artificial heart without having to go into full surgery every time he’s gotta do maintenance. Mystic technology and super smart stuff lol.

The operation in question on the original post was the experiment Two lead, independently from Draxum, that messed up One’s heart in the first place. And it is sorta odd to think about, letting a sibling do very questionable and untested experiments on you. But they were young. They didn’t care about the risks, they wanted to make themselves better so that their dad could succeed. So they did a really really irresponsible thing out of their desperation to be useful. And, naturally, it went terribly terribly wrong.

I do think that One trusted Two. He had watched Draxum train Two and teach him all these amazing and intelligent stuff his whole life. Draxum would always be talking (although not directly complimenting, because he doesn’t understand that he has to) about how smart Two was. It also helped One’s decision that Two was very confident about this particular trial.

Two used to do some minor experiments on One (not sure if he asked first tbh) for the same purpose: make us better. But One stopped participating after it got out of hand and he got (a little) injured. After that, Two did the experiments on himself. But for this particular experiment, Two offered, and Two was really confident that he had gotten the formula right. So, One consented to the experiment and risked his life because he trusted his twin’s abilities and progress. Also, at that point One had been teaching himself first aid and medical skills, so he probably thought if anything went wrong he could fix it no big deal lol

I would also like to note that a lot of One and Two’s relationship deals with the conflict between loyalty to Draxum and loyalty to each other. In the case of The Accident AND The Incident, they prioritized Draxum’s happiness over each other’s health. But once everything goes catastrophically wrong, Two regrets performing the experiment and does have to live with what he did. (I’d like to note this is not the first time he caused a casualty by one of these experiments). But I think he sorta tries to make up for it by taking really good care of the EPCVI, installing features One would like (bluetooth music feature), making it easy to access the heart via the Gate, and other things we haven’t thought of yet.

thank you so much!!! here is just some super random (mostly baby lol) info i have on her! it’s a bit all over the place so i’m sorry about that! i hope you enjoy!

-before violetta was born, when primo found out she was going to be named violetta, (he was the only person who was told), he planted violets in his garden🥺

-i know i’ve mentioned this before but it makes me smile ——> the only thing that was guaranteed to stop her from crying from ages 0-3 was swiss’s smile. (in this universe swiss is a ghoul while terzo is papa okay) she thought it was the funniest thing ever, it was kind of like peekaboo, the way it just appeared under his darkly colored mask. (omg it’s so cute i’ll never get over it i’m DEFINITELY writing a fic about that )

-terzo would take her anywhere he could. literally could not put her down. heck, he’d be sitting in a meeting with her in his lap. sometimes you had to jokingly remind him she was your daughter too.

-her first word came about in a funny way., you and terzo were trying to convince violetta to say your name.

“say mama, violetta!”

“no, say papa!”

“no, don’t listen to him, say mama!”

“no no no, il mio pipistrello, say papa!”

she looked at you two, and with great confidence, imitated you, saying,

“no!”

which left you two rolling on the floor, tears nearly escaping your eyes. it looks like she inherited the sass from both you and terzo.

-violetta developed a habit of pronouncing certain words in an accent depending on who said them the most. she said “seestor” rather than “sister” for the longest time. everyone thought it was adorable, so nobody corrected her. there was nothing a sister of sin loved more than little violetta running up to them and saying, “seestor!”

-babysat by not only the ghouls but “uncle copi” a lot🥺 i think he’s the one who teaches her to ride a bike for the first time. (maybe i’ll write something more about this, the concept is so cute😭)

-violetta is a scorpio ♏️ (i also headcanon terzo as a scorpio or a gemini hehe but i think the idea of them having the same sign is cute)

-still working on her MBTI type but i think she’s an enneagram type 4.

-was raised on spooky/witchy/fantasy things like harry potter, tim burton movies, the labyrinth, the dark crystal, as well as a lot of musicals. (phantom of the opera, cats, and wicked especially)

-violetta has a passion for fashion and costuming (hehe rhyming), sometimes her dad goes to her for advice.

when he’s getting fitted for a new robe for a special event, he’s having trouble making some decisions.

“would you prefer the gold or silver trim?” the seamstress asks.

“eh…” he says, honestly not sure.

“give me un momento.” he says, taking out his phone and texting violetta:

“Need your advice in the fitting room per favore”

within a few moments, she bursts in, and as she catches sight of him, instantly says,

“i like gold.“

Goth wardrobe advice

hiiiii baby bats!!!! I just wanted to write a lil post on how to start building a goth wardrobe! I started around 6 months ago and I’ve been very happy with the looks I’ve been able to create, and I thought to just write down how I was able to rlly curate my aesthetic! (though I will tack onto this post that goth is a music based subculture so you can be goth without fancy elaborate looks)

when it comes to shopping for clothes, my personal advice is buy individual pieces, not outfits. meaning you buy clothes with the intention of mixing and matching which will save money and help you from over-buying. plus flexibility in your wardrobe allows for more fun and creativity!

the look

The first step to creating your style is to envision what kind of look you want to go for. goth style pulls from so many different sources! Trad goths from the 80s evolved from punk, and subsequent iterations of the style have Victorian, glam, etc sentiments. you can lean more romantic or more edgy, it’s up to you! the first step is to create a vision board. I love Pinterest personally. from there I typed “trad goth” “casual goth” “90s goth” and streamlined what I want to emulate. Don’t forget to watch goth rock music videos for style inspo- siouxsie is my personal icon and wore such interesting things, as well as Patricia Morrison! there��s also a level of gender nonconformity in goth that you can lean into. for instance, I’m femme but with a shaved head that really compliments my style and makes me feel really confident. It’s all so variable and individual. one of the original tenets of goth was the DIY aspect, which I think is super important. don’t be afraid to rip, cut, add safety pins, or paint on clothes you buy.

shopping

shopping for goth clothes has a lot of misconceptions. you really don’t need to ever buy from a fast fashion site like killstar or dollskill to get the looks you want. In fact most goths would prefer that you look elsewhere at first, bc a lot of us aren’t comfortable with the way our subculture has been commodified and commercialized. thrift stores have given me tons of luck. I typically prefer red white and blue, but goodwill can have good stuff too! (now, thrifting is more environmentally friendly, but that doesn’t mean that the company is ethical, like Salvation Army and goodwill. it’s a matter of choosing what’s right for your personal values.)

you can buy black clothes at pretty much any store which makes creating outfits somewhat easy. shop where you can afford it and what has good options for your body type and comfort level. I buy most of my stuff secondhand but I own a few things from H&M and Pacsun. pacsun has amazing corset tops that are affordable during their sales, and H&M has foundational pieces for okay quality. Try Depop too because I LOVE vintage clothes and you can find amazing things on the app, like dresses from the 90s and 70s blouses!

General wardrobe items

here’s what I bought when building my wardrobe:

- black trousers

- black skirts (midi AND mini. I prefer long skirts but I like to have choices)

- band tees for my fav goth bands

- a white button down blouse

- bustiers/corsets. I have incredible luck thrifting them but some I’ve gotten new. They’re sexy and fun on their own but even cooler layered over something!

- tights! fishnets are a must as well as solid sheer black and other fun patterns

- dresses in plaid or solid colors. you don’t have to JUST wear black, in fact siouxsie wore tons of color back in the day. black is just what we’re known for but maroon, purple and white are great too.

- long sleeve sheer tops. I have one black mesh and one black lace top. These can be worn over bras for an edgier look or under band tees to add texture and complexity.

- SHOES! I don’t buy secondhand shoes only bc I have wonky feet. My two main pairs are my doc martens Jadon platforms and Mary janes. Shoes are an entirely personal decision so do your research! A lot of ppl like Demonias but I haven’t swung for those yet.

- accessories, accessories, accessories. Perhaps what makes someone recognizably goth is our funky accessories. I have multiple belts, ranging from the standard black with grommets to a triple belt and a corset waist cincher. I buy my jewelry off Etsy or I buy them from flea markets, and I lean towards ankhs bc I’m a sandman nerd lmfao. (I own 3 ankh necklaces, a bracelet, and two pairs of earrings oops). I also have a few silver crucifixes and a spiked collar.

- outerwear. I’m a leather jacket aficionado and I hand painted a trad goth jacket, but other options are black long coats and blazers. vests are pretty great too.

final notes

I’m a baby bat myself so I, too am learning the ropes and exploring my style. remember that it’s about self expression and making yourself stand out, not uniformity. there are so many unique alternative subcultures and no one is stopping you from pulling from all sorts of inspo! Remember to have fun when shopping or getting dressed above all else!!!!

Makeup and backstage passes

A/N: Guuys, this is my first ever collab with the one and only, talented @harlowcomehome We hope you enjoy it!! I loooove you HCH, this has been so fun!!

You parked the car outside of the studio and grabbed the big makeup case you’d brought with you. You struggled a bit with taking it out of the car, but with a bit of extra strength, you made it. You had gotten a call a week ago, being asked to be the makeup artist on the set of a music video. You were thrilled at getting an opportunity like this and immediately accepted. The fact that the artist was Jack Harlow made your decision easier. You’d been working as a makeup artist for a while now, working at photoshoots and magazines, but had never gotten such a big job - being a makeup artist to one of the biggest artists was a dream come true. Even though you were confident with your work, you couldn’t help but feel nervous.

You made your way inside the studio, where you saw a beautiful woman. “Hi my name is Claire. You’re Y/N? right?” she said happily, stretching out her hand for you. You shook her hand and introduced yourself before she showed you to your spot. “You can set everything up. Jack will be here any minute,” She said before running to someone who called her name.

You set everything up, organizing everything in the place you wanted it, before sitting down on the makeup chair you had set up, scrolling on your phone, waiting for Jack to come. After a few minutes, you heard a lot of voices coming into the studio. You turned around and saw a big group of people. Then you saw Claire talking to Jack, motioning him to where you were. You suddenly got very nervous and quickly stood up, putting your phone in your back pocket.

“Jack, this is Y/N, and she’ll be doing your makeup for today's video.”

“Hi, I’m Jack,” he stretched out his hand. “Nice to meet you,” he gave you a big grin. Your hand was extremely small in comparison to his which made you smile.

You noticed immediately how calming his presence was. He was laid back and surprisingly really down to earth, which made most of your nerves subside.

You made small talk as he got into the makeup chair, you noticed instantly just how big he looked compared to it. It was obvious that he was tall but you really hadn’t noticed just how tall, until he was sat down in front of you.

He watched as you leaned over the sink, throughly washing your hands before approaching him to start.

“I’m going to put this headband on you so we don’t get anything in your curls” you smiled as you stood in front of him, pushing the headband wrap up under his hair on his forehead.

Jack smiled at your use of the word “curls” instead of just saying “hair.”

“You have really nice skin” you complimented without even thinking. “Thank you” he chuckled, trying his best not to blush, “you do too” he smiled. “I’m going to hydrate your skin first so the makeup sits better and doesn’t look noticeable” you explained and he nodded.

“So this is your first time on a music video set?” He asked as you fanned his face, to dry the products quicker.

“Yeah! I’m super excited about it” you smiled as he stared up at you. “I’ve done photo shoots and things like that, but nothing to this level,” you continued.

“I’ll make sure to make this experience memorable then” Jack winked, and you couldn’t help but smile back. You had always heard that he was flirtatious but being the person he was flirting with, was different.

“can you” you cleared your throat, getting lost in his piercing blue eyes. “uhm, look up” you told him, motioning upwards with your finger. You put some concealer and start to blend lightly with the beauty blender.

"I like how gentle you are," he said softly when you backed away from him, finishing with the concealer. You grabbed the powder brush and turned around to face him.

"you don't get enough sleep, do you?" you asked him and went in with the powder to set the concealer.

"Is it that obvious?" he chuckled. You gave him a tender smile and shook your head. "You really should sleep more, so you don't burn out"

"You care about me huh?" he smiled, giving you a wink. You returned the smile before turning around, grabbing the small mirror you had on the side.

"There you go, all done" you said proudly, handing him the mirror.

"Damn, you can't even tell I have makeup on," he exclaimed, "You baked me good" he said, still inspecting his face in the mirror. You started laughing, which made him look at you with a cute smile, liking the sound of your laugh. "Isn't that a makeup term" he asked, laughing with you.

“It is, but I didn't bake anything today love" you giggled.

"oh" he let out, handing the mirror to you. The nickname that slipped out making him blush.

"I'll go on tour soon, you know" he said "I'll need a makeup artist on the road" he continued, giving you a big smile. You grabbed the headband and slowly took it off him, fixing some of the curls that was under it.

Again, he loved how gentle you were with him, the fact that you were being soft with him and his hair made his stomach do flips but he wasn’t ready to admit that.

“Well, I’m available, but no pressure” you smiled as you started to pack things up.

“You’re not staying?” Jack sounded incredibly disappointed.

“I am, I have to stay in case you need a touch up” you explained. “Speaking of“ you walked back over to him making sure everything was blended one more time.

“Just needed one more look?” He teased and you giggled, “I was just making sure I didn’t cover your freckles too much” you shrugged and that made Jack blush for the millionth time today. “You’re one of those people who notice everything huh?” He stood up, getting ready to go to set and you smiled “something like that.”

“Come to set?” Jack asked and you smiled as you followed him. He helped you carry your makeup bags to set. He motioned for you to sit in his chair and you watched as he approached someone you only assumed to be his manager.

You couldn’t make out what he was saying but the fact that she (Neelam) kept looking in your direction told you he really was asking if you could go on tour with him.

Shortly after Jack went to set Neelam approached you with a smile, “do you have a business card?”

You handed her one out of the front pocket of your makeup cases, “here you go!” You smiled nervously and she looked at the card for a moment.

“I’ll have to look through the budget for tour, but if we have the money and the room, you’d be interested right? I just want to make sure before I get his hopes up” she laughed and you did too.

“Yeah! I’d love to” you reassured her.

“I don’t know what kind of magic is in those makeup cases but he’s definitely under your spell” she teased and you couldn’t help but butterflies in your stomach.

“Good to know” you smiled, “good to know.”

I wanted to do a redraw of the first drawing I posted here… I can’t thank you you all enough for so much love and support :) I guess I’ll just go on about everything here …

(Also this isn’t the end I just wanted to make a long ass thank you post 😁)

Last year I can’t even describe how self conscious this whole “finding out I had feelings for Sneo” thing made me. I know that it is VERY SILLY to say but it was confusing because I thought I only liked girls. That maybe started to lead to an identity crisis? If that’s the right word?? I also felt really ashamed for some reason, I think I internalized a lot of stuff. I was also horribly paranoid of people I knew finding out I liked this Thing a Non-Normal amount and thinking I was weird for it.

When I made this blog it was a decision I thought about a lot. I eventually went through with it cuz I REALLY wanted to see more x reader content with SNEO, and I was hoping other people wanted that too. So after posting this stuff and seeing people actually liked it, I was filled with both excitement and regret. (Regret because it was embarrassing that anybody saw it) but it was also so exciting because I wanted people to know they weren’t alone in how they felt. For me it’s so validating to know people feel the same (especially about a weird crush lol) and I wanted to spread that :]

I can’t say how much the first asks I got meant to me, especially the supportive ones, they were just so sweet. I could probably go on about this for an unreasonably long time so I’ll try to keep it short- after so much support (and a lot of freaking out) this all eventually helped me accept myself and made me more confident and happy.

It took months though, and it’s still an ongoing process… but I am confident in saying that I’m so, so much happier right now than I was last year :) and it’s because of you!!!

I know this is really cheesy but you guys mean the world to me and you’ve helped me so much, I hope this content has helped you feel more comfortable and understood too 💖I love interacting with you guys. It makes me so happy reading the tags in reblogs, replies, or even seeing the super nice drawings of my Sneo design 🥺 the idea of anybody spending their time to like or reply or even make something for me is just so incredibly kind. The numbers have started to boggle my mind and it’s hard to express how much it means to me, but it genuinely means the world :)

Do you have any idea why John may have cut Julian out of his will? I don’t know much about it but what I’ve seen has cut Yoko out to be the guilty party but I don’t really understand that seeing as she had no relation to Julian besides distant ‘stepmother’. I know John’s relationship with Julian was fractured as is usually the case for these type of parental dynamics but based off secondhand accounts John was quite soft and sensitive (and did love his first kid) so it’s hard to wrap one’s head around the idea of John deliberately wounding his child but he was also clearly capable of making brash decisions so I’m left with no idea of what John’s thought process behind this was if there even was any. So now I’m just thinking about how sweet it is that Julian and Sean have apparently managed to sustain a loving relationship despite other factors. But really I can’t conceive why John would’ve done that unless it was a grand gesture of devotion to Yoko and their family or he simply viewed Sean as the wanted (harsh but it is what it is) child and therefore the ‘special’ one. OR John’s will was impromptu and not intended as a final piece? As an aside, what do you think John’s relationship with his sons would’ve been like? Clearly Sean would’ve been his baby boy forever but I think Julian would’ve had his ups and downs culminating with the tentative friendship that usually evolves (in my experience anyway) from stunted child/parental relationships. An aside to the side lol but I I know John was very coddled by Yoko and the people close to him so I’m curious as to whether you think Yoko would’ve continued to be the main delegate on John’s internal connections? And when or if you think J&Y would’ve stuck it through (marriage 💀) together or not? I know people are generally against J&Y but by 1980 they did seem to have solidified their commitment to their partnership despite the cracks if Double Fantasy is anything to go by. Sorry it’s a lot lol

I had a back and forth about John's will about 10 months ago. My thoughts on it haven't evolved much since and aren't too different from yours. I really am not sure what to make of it all. But I have a hard time believing it was a serious, thought-through document.

As for how John would have been with his kids, had he lived, I think I agree with you. It's not like John and Julian never saw each other, though I personally kind of side-eye him for choosing to continue living so far away from his kid, even if I get why he liked New York better. I don't know Julian that well, so I don't want to be too presumptuous, but I suspect that John dying contributed a significant amount to his resentment. Once reciprocated reconciliation is taken away from you as an option, forgiveness must become so much harder.

I tend to think JohnandYoko would probably eventually have broken up, but they weren't super close to it in 1980. It more seems like they were both invested in re-vamping their relationship. I get that a part of that was probably PR, but given that Double Fantasy isn't actually all sunshine and roses, I still think it's credible they were genuine. I talked about this a few days ago actually. Here's some more thoughts: 1 / 2

Whether Yoko would have loosened the "reins" on John is very hard to say. I feel he didn't have enough time to adapt to his newfound self-confidence for me to say :(

Dragon Ball Super 090

“Hey you. Let’s fight.”

“Them’s fightin’ words!”

All right, so Piccolo has finished drilling Gohan and they both seem confident that he’s back to his full strength. But Piccolo wants to test that out and he only knows one way to do that: Clobbering Goku. So they arrange a little 2v2 match on top of a mesa, with Tournament of Power rules.

Roshi and Chiaotzu bear witness. You know, nobody ever brought up having Chiaotzu on the team. Sure he’s got a terrible win-loss record, but who’s to say he hasn’t been training like a maniac this whole time? If all these other characters can stand up to Super Saiyan Blue now, maybe Chiaotzu can smoke all their asses.

Nice shot of the Milky Way. Well, North Galaxy. Whatever. It’s pretty, is what I’m trying to say.

So it’s a 2-on-2 match, but Tien pretty quickly ceases to be a factor. Gohan’s a house of fire, and he’s mainly gunning for Goku, but he and Piccolo have coordinated their attacks, while Goku and Tien haven’t seen each other in months.

So while Goku fights Gohan, he tells Tien to focus on Piccolo, who’s currently charging up for some big attack. Tien goes for Ki Ko Ho, but Gohan has it scouted. He shoots an attack that sets off an explosion in front of Tien, spoiling his aim.

Then Gohan lures Goku into the range of Piccolo’s attack, which turns out to be the explosive wave he used way back in the 23rd Budokai. It engulfs the whole mesa, which is bad for their opponents since the mesa is the ring.

And Goku seems to weather the storm okay, but that just leaves him wide open for a heavy punch from Gohan. See what I mean about how they coordinated their attacks?

At this point the entire mesa is a crater, and Tien asks everyone to stop fighting. But Gohan wants more, so he challenges Goku to a one-on-one fight. Goku agrees.

Meanwhile... oh fuck, it’s Gowasu. Way to suck all the life out of the party, Episode 90. Okay, so he’s supposed to choose a team for Universe 10, except he’s so overwhelmed by the task that he’s paralyzed with doubt. Also he’s still reeling from that whole business with Zamasu.

Then Rumsshi, the Destroyer for U10, shows up and criticizes him for overthinking the problem. The key is not to use your head, but to use your body to choose a team. What the hell does that mean?

Then he reveals that he already went out and recruited a team while Gowasu was sweating it out. Well, why didn’t he just tell him that in the first place? Of course, this reveal is kind of stupid when nine of these guys are wearing robes so you can’t see them. Although I don’t know why the leader is disrobed since we don’t know anything about him, either.

Rumsshi says the theme to this group is muscle, but I seem to recall one of these fighters was a scrawnly little lady with butterfly wings. Still they all drink protein shakes to prove their jock credentials. Gowasu isn’t convinced, but since he couldn’t make any decisions himself, there really isn’t any choice. That sums up Gowasu pretty well.

Now that that’s over, let’s get back to.... Super Saiyan 2 Goku? Awwww yeah. I’d like to think he’s using this form to open as a sort of tribute to Gohan, who pioneered the form, but I’m probably reading too much into it.

I love this whole episode, but I especially love this fight. There’s not a lot to say about it, since it’s just Goku and Gohan hitting each other very hard. But this is very satisfying for a lot of reasons. When Goku came back for the 25th Budokai, Gohan was looking forward to fighting his dad in the ring, and then Majin Buu happened and it all fell through. So now we’re finally getting that payoff.

Goku has the edge here, as he seems to take more initiative. For example, he uses Instant Transmission to ping-pong Gohan around some buttes, which obscures Gohan’s line of sight long enough for Goku to set up a Kamehameha. But Gohan just turns and fires his own right on the spot. So it’s like he’s taking Goku’s best tactics and matching them with raw power.

However, Goku slips away from the beam struggle and blindsides Gohan before he can react, which is pretty slick.

And yet Gohan is still able to keep Goku at bay. Each time Goku out-finesses him, Gohan just drops another hurtin’ bomb.

Mmmph!

Damn!

Meanwhile, Vegeta can sense this from all the way in West City, and he likes it a lot. I’m sure he’s looking forward to the day when he can fight his own kids in a match like this.

Gohan challenges Goku to fight him with his full power, so Goku goes Blue, but Gohan wants everything, so...

Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken it is.

So they have this big collision in mid-air, and they do the anime thing where they show both guys immediately after they collide, and then one of them passes out.

Gohan manages to throw one more punch, but he runs out of gas before his fist can connect. He’s done.

Goku lets him fall for a bit, then teleports to catch him.

And everyone’s all smiles and Gohan’s satisfied that he impressed his dad. Very nice, very cool and good.

Aw, and there’s the martial arts bow. This is so heartwarming.

And before we sign off, Goku announces that he’s chosen a team captain for Universe 7, and it’s Gohan.

Some hearty thumbs-ups are exchanged and it’s smiles all around.

Oh, and they’re still putting the ring together.

A driver placing 12th over 14th in a single race can mean millions of dollars difference to smaller teams like Williams. I think its worth it

to be clear here i am relatively new to f1 and also still in the emotional react zone lol. ALSO ALL OF THIS IS SAID WITH LOVE! i do really like both of them so much

first off why didn’t they have a spare chassis. is that normal. that feels… dumb. i’ve never worked in logistics but that feels Really Really dumb.

SECOND OFF I JUST REMEMBERED TEAM TORQUE. OH THE VIBES ARE GONNA BE HORRENDOUS

anyways. this is gonna sound stupid of me but i kind of forgot how it works in terms of tie breakers so i wasn’t… super thinking abt non-points positions (AGAIN! thinking emotionally!!)

this is long and rambling. please don’t destroy me for not knowing what i’m talking about bc i really really don’t. also i don’t necessarily have a conclusion of “is it worth it or not” i am just . side eyeing. very unsure about whether it will be or not in the end. it kinda boils down to “i think this is complicated math bc trying to quantify some of the effects of this is literally impossible and im worried about those unquantifiable effects”

my thinking here is kind of. is 12th instead of 14th worth it if it means you’ve wildly undermined a driver’s … idk trust? confidence in the team? and i don’t mean this in a vague “think abt the emotional impact!” way i mean this as. how is this going to affect how the rest of the season goes?

i mean, even just this race lol. birthday curse aside, alex has just got a whole lot more pressure on him, on a course he’s got a not-fantastic history with, as far as i can tell. it’s his job to handle pressure, obviously, but it’s certainly an… interesting position to put someone in

in terms of the rest of the season… for me mentality was/is such a massive part of success in sports. i deeply dislike the “didn’t want it enough” narratives in other sports (whole other story) but. you do have to believe in yourself. and if thats true for a sport where you’re running around in circles, or where you’re kicking a ball around, i imagine it’s doubly so for driving around tight corners at nearly 300kph or whatever. it’s not williams’/james vowles’ job, i guess, to foster an environment where that self-belief is maintained or built, but in that case, what was the point of all that talk?

you spend all this time being like we have confidence in you and your improvement, and then bam. i would be desolate lol. like circling back to 12th vs 14th… idk a part of me is like. if we could quantify the impacts of this on logan over the season, what if that bit of confidence is the difference between 15th and 17th. but like, in every race. obviously we don’t know how this season would go without this happening so this is like wild speculation. and i am PRAYING for spite to kick in and become a massive motivator here. like i get that williams isn’t responsible for logan’s headspace but. they do want to maximize their drivers’ performance, right? i personally am unsure that this is the way to do that

Crimson Flower vs. Azure Moon Ingrid

I went into this super excited to see how Ingrid’s relationship with her father would change based on the route because surely that would be a big deal, right? Well apparently not, she seems to just completely forget about him on both routes so I was a bit disappointed by that, I guess I just made up all the drama CF Ingrid has with her dad.

Thesis: Ingrid’s character is one that changes significantly based on the route, with CF Ingrid being much more emotionally closed off and sympathetic towards her opponents while AM Ingrid places a much higher emphasis on the value of loyalty and tradition.

Chapter 12

CF Ingrid shows a lot more hesitance than AM Ingrid, which makes sense when you consider their positions. CF Ingrid essentially abandoned everything she knew (especially if she’s the only BL you recruited) whereas AM Ingrid still has her family, her friends, and her homeland. CF Ingrid would be in a scarier position and regardless of her feelings it’s only realistic for her to have doubts. Something I do find important with CF Ingrid though is her saying she needs her father to see ‘reason’ when talking about explaining her side to him. A common argument in this fandom is X character only joined Y route because of Byleth. While there are certainly characters whose presence on certain routes can be difficult to explain I don’t think CF Ingrid is one of them and I think her choice of the word ‘reason’ here shows how she was not purely influenced by her emotions and bonds to other people but that she thought long and hard before making her decision to the point where she feels she has a chance, regardless of how slim, of making her father understand. AM Ingrid on the other hand is very confident in her decision and she paints her opposing side in a very negative light, contrasting CF Ingrid’s more sympathetic view.

Chapter 13

CF Ingrid seems to be trying to approach the war from a practical stand point, attempting to ignore her emotions. It’s not doubt what she’s going through is extremely difficult, yet when Byleth goes to talk to her she focuses on giving a report about what happened as opposed to trying to seek some sort of solace from Byleth. She doesn’t open up about how she’s feeling until Byleth directly prompts her too and even then, she underplays the turmoil I’m sure she’s going through and immediately shifts the conversation. By contrast, AM Ingrid seems to be expressing her emotions more openly as we can see from her discussing the betrayals of the western nobles. I wonder if this is a trend that will continue or if this difference is a one off thing. We also see AM Ingrid emphasizing the importance of loyalty, a value we know was very important to pre-timeskip Ingrid. The phrase ‘after all the royal family has done for them’ indicates that Ingrid believes those nobles are indebted to the royal family. This language is also particularly interesting due to the fact that it can be applied to literally any protest. What if there hadn’t been a war and commoners had instead started protesting a cause important to them, would AM Ingrid view that as a betrayal too? There’s no definitive answer (at least not yet) but it’s something to think about.

Chapter 14

We see the same thing here as we saw last chapter, CF Ingrid being more stoic and AM Ingrid emphasizing blind obedience. CF Ingrid obviously admires Judith and regrets how things played out. Despite this, CF Ingrid simply states that they ‘can’t change the past’ when Byleth acknowledges her feelings. This is a particularly interesting sentiment coming from Ingrid considering how much pre-timeskip Ingrid dwells on the past (particularly Glenn). Of course, Judith was not as important to her as Glenn so these events can’t be treated as equals, but CF Ingrid still demonstrates a strong resolve to move forwards despite her hardships. AM Ingrid on the other hand comments on being filled with ‘hatred’ and ‘anger.’ Overall, AM Ingrid holds more resentment towards her enemies, which makes sense considering she’d have minimal exposure to the empire outside of propaganda while CF Ingrid knows the kingdom and it’s people intimately. However, important to note is that Ingrid is filled not just with anger and hatred but ‘his anger’ and ‘his hatred’ (his referring to Dimitri). Pre-timeskip Ingrid struggled with being her own person and I think her idolization of Glenn is the best example of this. Ingrid being filled with the same feelings as Dimitri is an extension of this flaw. Furthermore, she even goes so far as to say it’s ‘difficult [for her] to oppose his wishes’ showing how Ingrid has fallen into the trap of blind obedience. CF Ingrid doesn’t express difficulty thinking for herself, in fact I imagine she’d have a more sympathetic view towards the kingdom than would be common place among the imperial army. However, AM Ingrid’s hatred for the empire to me comes across a lot more like someone who was told what to think as opposed to someone who is intimately familiar with all the strengths and weaknesses of the empire.

Chapter 15

Not to sound like a broken record but we again see CF Ingrid focusing on practicality instead of her emotions. I’m not going to dwell on that fact since I’ve talked about it a lot already but I just wanted to mention it. Another recurring theme with CF Ingrid is her looking towards the future, although I feel it is much more obvious here than last chapter. She is not taking time to celebrate their victory, instead she is thinking of what can go wrong and giving Byleth advice on how to increase their odds of victory. Personally, I quite enjoy AM Ingrid’s dialogue here and think it’s by far the best we’ve seen so far. Ingrid’s struggles with her territory is one of the more interesting aspects of her character to me so I love seeing it mentioned. She also mentions struggles with feeling helplessness which I believe is a large struggle for Ingrid. As a child, she lost Glenn then watched as all three of her childhood friends turned into disasters, all while being completely unable to do anything. Because of this, academy Ingrid was quite controlling and often tried to fix everyone’s problems. Seeing these aspects of her character touched on in her explore dialogue is great, even if it’s just a brief conversation.

Chapter 16

Here, we see CF Ingrid getting more in touch with her grief which she’s been avoiding. The war has finally taken her to a point where she has to fight against her loved ones and can no longer push her feelings to the back. This therefore also forces her to confront the complexities of her relationship with Glenn. CF Ingrid would have a very complicated relationship with Glenn that I really don’t have time to fully dive into here but it’s clear that CF Ingrid still values the relationship she had with Glenn and regrets ‘betraying’ him. I also think the use of the word betray in particular here is interesting because it implies she still feels some sort of obligation to him. Despite CF Ingrid having cut her own path, she still feels guilty for letting down all those that relied on here and this guilt can explain why she’s been especially reserved and practical attitude on this route as she tried to compensate for her guilt by throwing herself into helping the cause. In contrast, AM Ingrid’s dialogue in this chapter is honestly very basic and I don’t have much to say. The one thing that stood out to me was her saying there will be another ‘grand battle.’ I love looking at specific words used and thinking why that word was chosen above any other, but sometimes I worry this analysis technique can get a little nitpicky because while, yes, some words are chosen for very specific meanings, there are also times when not much thought was put into the word choice. This is one of those instances where I worry I’m being a bit nitpicky but regardless I’m still going to discuss what thoughts this provoked. Describing something as grand is obviously a compliment and I believe this word choice shows AM Ingrid glorifying the war in a way. AM Ingrid in general is filled with a lot more anger and she also still strongly believes the knightly ideals. I do think these two factors, when combined, can easily lead to an over glorification of war, so while CF Ingrid seems regretful in this chapter AM Ingrid seems more excited.

Chapter 17

I don’t think there’s much of note for CF Ingrid here, which is pretty disappointing considering it’s her last explore dialogue. The only think I really noticed is her taking solace in Byleth’s presence, something she does in a few other supports as well. However, this is the first time CF Ingrid mentions Edelgard. I’ve seen a decent amount of Edelgard/Ingrid stuff and I never understood it because they have no supports, but I wonder if this line contributed to that ship. She calls Edelgard one of few ‘allies [she] can rely on.’ She obviously has a fairly high bar considering that there’s not many people that meet it, but Edelgard is one of them. I wish they had supports or just some sort of interaction in general, I think it would make this line more impactful if we could see actual interactions between them but the way it exists now in the game honestly feels a bit shallow to me, even as someone who is interested in that relationship. AM Ingrid here displays a sense of responsibility towards Rodrigue after he dies, wanting to ensure that someone so important to her is able to get the best treatment. Furthermore, Ingrid’s desire to give him a ‘proper funeral’ shows an appreciation for traditional Faerghan customs. This fits in with AM Ingrid’s admiration for knighthood, a traditional Faerghan institution, and shows how her character overall views traditions as an important thing

AM Extra Chapters

Here Ingrid is simply giving us an update on the situation, doesn’t say that much about her character and it’s a role she played in CF too so what it does say I don’t think is relevant to this discussion.

Again I don’t have much to say and I can’t tell if I’m getting lazy or if the ending explore dialogues just aren’t as good. We do see here that AM Ingrid is obviously loyal to Rhea. The church is also a traditional institution similarly to knighthood so I do think this emphasizes AM Ingrid’s loyalty to tradition.

This is a pretty generic final dialogue and honestly quite similar to CF Ingrid’s final dialogue. She is grateful to Byleth and ready to fight for the cause.

My verdict: I feel like my bias was way more obvious in this analysis than the previous one but yeah, I prefer CF Ingrid. Not only do I prefer CF Ingrid, but it’s actually the only version of her I like. In fact, I used to hate Ingrid as a character for this very reason. My first playthrough was CF and I went in blind so I recruited very few people. This meant that the first time I played with Ingrid was AM and it resulted in me hating her for a long time before I started considering what CF Ingrid would be like. I tried to be fair and not overly harsh on AM Ingrid and I do want to take time to acknowledge some aspects of her characterization some people may like before totally trashing on her. She remains dedicated to her original dream and even achieves it in a few endings, is loyal to her family friends, and more in tune with her emotions. That being said, if you’re very attached to AM Ingrid maybe don’t read ahead. I personally don’t view Ingrid attaining knighthood as a positive for her character. Sure, it was a childhood dream, but 99% of childhood dreams are never attained and that’s no in and of itself a tragic thing, especially if the childhood dream is something harmful. While knighthood in and of itself may not be inherently harmful, the way AM Ingrid engages with it is. She believes in blind obedience and that belief makes her very susceptible to manipulation. She even goes so far as to say she wouldn’t oppose Dimitri, I can’t imagine any world where just following someone’s every command is a good thing. While CF Ingrid never goes directly against Edelgard’s command, she also never acts like Edelgard’s word is God and she even tries to persuade her family to her side, something she wants as an individual not because her king/emperor told her to. Through this process, I’ve realized a lot of what I like about CF Ingrid is actually headcanons I’ve made and I wonder now if I should make a post talking about my CF Ingrid and why she’s so great. A point I’ll count against CF Ingrid is how emotionally closed off she is. From a character writing perspective I do enjoy this approach, however she never really works on it (one of the pitfalls of her not having and CF specific supports to address her CF specific problems) which means in terms of judging her ability to live a fulfilling life this is a negative. And, while this post is supposed to be about their explore dialogue, I do just briefly want to mention AM vs. CF Ingrid endings because it is a large reason I prefer CF Ingrid. While AM Ingrid is more likely to become a knight, CF Ingrid is more likely to find solutions to her lands sufferings that surprise surprise didn’t require her selling herself to a random rich man which I love for her. So overall, I do find CF Ingrid to be significantly better than AM Ingrid.
