Like I find "my good name" feels much……… more intense than Paul's reputation at the Liverpool Institute or what have you lol. Also "No I'm not but you should see your faces", like saying stuff for shock value???? That is 10000000% John.
Also, I think when Midnights came out I said I sort of felt Taylor's problems were a bit more closely aligned to John's but she coped with them in a more Paul-like way. But "John in Paul drag" is a MUCH funnier way to express that. In summary EXACTLY.

Seems like it's Fortnight, since they're selling physical copies, which is an interesting choice to me. But I don't know which song I'd select instead. A lot of the album feels very... midtempo? Little of it is downright weird as a single but also little of it makes complete sense as one.

the aaron dessner tracks are much better
I'm a silly goose who's listened to most of the second half only once (1) due to being Overwhelmed. I do find his tracks more sonically varied, so I get this, but I find the Jack tracks feel more.... cohesive and linked? I don't know how much that's down to Jack as a producer. So basically, from my very unsure POV, I think I can understand your opinion. I don't necessarily agree though.

I'm that anon who sent you that long ramble about eminem and Taylor Swift a long time ago and when I saw everyone being like “omg she wrote a song about Kim” I deadass thought for a split second it was gonna be a song about Kim mathers lmao. Like an ironic thing about how em also used his ex as a muse for some of his best and most emotionally honest songwriting and how he was widely criticized for having and sharing those feelings (and yeah to be clear kim and 97 Bonnie and Clyde are a masterpiece but I'm not gonna pretend they don't turn my stomach – not to say that anything by Taylor turns my stomach but just that not all good music expresses noble emotions and me liking either artist doesn't mean I'm immune to that.) anyway this is just to say there was a real missed opportunity to collab with em here because he's already proven he's extremely good at writing diss tracks about women named kim and I feel like that's a coincidence taylor would appreciate lmao.
