Okay this idea regarding the Three Months Au has been floating around in my head for a solid two days now and I NEED to spill it out so. uh. here's my alternative ending for your au (so I guess i made an AU for your AU????) gonna keep it anonymous so I don't out myself as completely cringe LMAO

--okay, so. there's this episode of Doctor Who, right? it's called "A Christmas Carol", and a lot of weird shit happens, but one of the big plot points is this woman called Abigail. Abigail has a terminal illness, and was basically put into some kind of cryogenic chamber, which keeps her alive indefinitely-- but only as a frozen body. She's basically asleep while she's inside. She can leave whenever someone lets her out-- something the boy who loves her does, every single Christmas, so he can spend a day with her once a year--but the countdown to her death only stops ticking when she's asleep and immobile inside the cryo chamber. Eventually, her countdown gets down to one day left to live. And the boy leaves her in there for years. Until he's old and close to death himself, he never lets her out for fear of having to watch her live out her final day.

OK. CONTEXT PROVIDED. STAY WITH ME BRO.

--same situation, but with 3 months Mikey. Draxum and Donnie build something that does manage to "halt" the effects of Mikey's mystics on his body-- but it's something like the cryo chamber, where it only works when he's completely frozen and asleep inside. Mikey's 3-month-long prognosis is still intact (probably a bit shortened by the time the machine is built), but they manage to extend it by keeping him in that stasis chamber until Draxum and Donnie can find a true cure. For special occasions, like birthdays or holidays or really big fights, maybe they'll let him out-- but the countdown is still always in the background.

and, uh. maybe they don't find a cure.

days and months and years of trying, and they never find an actual cure. the only thing they have is whatever original invention Donnie and Draxum made to put Mikey into stasis-- and that countdown gets shorter every time they let him out. soon, it gets down to some miniscule time frame-- two weeks left, maybe. then a week. then five days. then three.

Donnie stops taking Mikey out of stasis.

he tells himself that he can still find a cure, or some way to reverse the effects. Mikey no longer leaves the stasis chamber to celebrate birthdays or Christmas. raph and leo and donnie and april all become adults. splinter or draxum die of old age. april probably gets married. huge universe-ending battles are fought and won. the world keeps turning and shit.

--and mikey sees none of it. asleep in the back of donnie's lab, while his brother spends decades trying to cure him; too scared of watching mikey live out his last day to take him out of stasis.

even as his family lives, and ages, and probably eventually dies-- mikey stays frozen in time. dying, but never dead. forever fifteen years old.

wouldn't that be kinda fucked up? :D

Sooo do you think if the rise turtles had a human or fluffy mutant so when it’s cold and snowy and the heatings not working, do you think they’d brag to the other turtles that their s/o is their own personal oven and their brothers should be jealous? You met the turtles through big mama. Let me explain. When big mama asked the turtles for help and they set off for the task, you were called into her office. You knew this wasn’t good. As you sat down in her chair you could feel all her eight eyes on you.

“Hello fluffy-poo I have just sent some turtles out to do a curtain job for me. I want you to help me capture them when they get back here. Understand?” You froze. You didn’t like her plans you only stayed here because you had no place to go to. People hated your kind. Mutants. Well you were actually a yokai. A very fluffy yokai. “But big mama I don’t really wan-“ you could barely finish before she interrupted you. “Are you disagreeing with me? After all I have done ! I gave you a place to say , your my best fighter you know. I want you to do great things fluffy-poo don’t you get that?” You looked down and nodded. You felt sick helping her , but she gave you a place to stay when no one else would. She’s the reason your probably not dead right now. As the turtles came in you took the ooze-squitos from the red ones hand you couldn’t help but listen to their words. “She’s…. Adorable” *your turtle of choice* whispered. You smiled at you contemplated giving the green coloured bugs to big mama. Her smirk to you and signal meant you now had to try and capture them. The two body guards moved towards them and the turtles, they could fight !! Pretty well. As they got thrown onto the floor you held off the guards. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING Y/N , I have you home and I can take it!!” You pushed the guards away and knocked them out one by one. The turtles watched in awe as you fought so well ! As you fought the last guard you ran the turtles to help them up. You turned on the elevator and pushed them inside. “Go , get out of this place ! It’s not safe for you. I will take care of big mama.” They gave you a sympathetic look as they all ran to the elevator. The orange one turned around to see you smash the glass bottle of the ooze-squitos and sent big mama into a hissy fit. You turned around to see the brothers running to you as big mama tried to strike you. You ran with a confused look on your face. “We can’t just leave you in here with her, not after you just saved us” you smiled and thanked them. You all moved into the elevator going down to your room to grab your stuff. You only came last month so you still had your suitcase full of things. You Grabbed it and ran with them. Suddenly the blue turtle seemed to have met up with you guys and gave you a questioning look as you ran outside the hotel. The 3 brothers explained what happened and they all took you to their lair. Later that day you met April. Who happened to be your childhood best friend! You two bonded quick and she soon let you stay now at your guys apartment. But , one of the turtles really caught your eye. And apparently you caught their eye as well! You two started talking and now you’re dating ! He loves your fluffiness and your warmth ever since winter came around…

Chapter 3 of No Fun in Fungus!

Leo chokes and wheezes on the yellow cloud that infiltrates his lungs. There’s a dull ache in his plastron. It could be from his old injuries, but he was well aware of a possible other cause for the sensation.

Asthma.

Leo would experience most attacks after getting upper respiratory infections, which he had a lot when he was younger.

It was nothing compared to what Donnie went through though.

His immune system sucked and the cold sewer with polluted water did not help his case in the slightest.

More infections meant he needed an inhaler more times than Leo did.

He never asked Splinter how he got one that first time, but he always remembers the bloody bandage around his hand.

He also remembers the birthday he asked for his supply packs.

Dad sewed it together for him.

The contents of the pack changed a lot over the years, but there were three things that never did.

A pack of dinosaur bandaids for Mikey.

Raph’s epi pen.

Their inhaler.

Despite it being years since Donnie’s last attack, that inhaler was never going to missing.

Leo takes it out immediately. Donnie was right next to him before those things came, he couldn’t be far.

“Wretched little pest….”

The voice chills him down to his core.

It’s typically believed that there are several fs when it comes to reacting to fear.

The two most well known are fight or flight.

However, there’s also freeze and fawn.

Fawn would be when Mikey tells Raph he’s the best oldest brother in the world as he hides a broken teddy bear mug behind his back.

Freeze is when you spend an entire flight in an escape pod having a panic attack and can’t even move when you get back because you just left your brother to die.

How ironic is it that someone who can never stop talking can’t say a word when he’s truly terrified?

The face man, curled up in a ball like a pathetic-

Leo covers his ears.

Where were those thoughts coming from?

Were they even thoughts?

It sounded like someone was saying it directly to him.

He feels the immediate need to curl up, not move and hope that it makes it all go away.

Seeing the glowing red eye through the thick particles in the air only makes that feeling worse.

What is happening? How could he be here?

The clanging of metal on the ground in front of him seems to give him an a answer.

He doesn’t want to look at the item in front of him.

The ninpo created weapon he left in the prison dimension.

It should have stayed there, because if it’s here, then it let him come here too.

The laughter he hears nearly makes his heart stop.

“You thought you could escape me?”

Leo can’t stop the fearful tears pricking at his eyes, quietly mumbling no repeatedly.

“You allowed me to come back. As thanks, I’ll kill you last.”

Leo hates how the words he wants to say die in his throat.

“You can watch as I slaughter your siblings, as you took away mine!”

He can hear the sounds of metallic footsteps coming towards him.

Leo can almost see his life flashing before his eyes. It makes him wonder how this response to fear came about.

Why wasn’t he like Donnie who made those escape pods?

Why didn’t he use his skills like Mikey?

Why didn’t he fight like-…….

Raph.

That’s it.

If something truly scary was happening, it was Raph who protected him.

He could freeze up and Raph would be there to shield him from literally anything that would come his way.

Even if it was something impossible like giant freaking aliens with razor sharp tentacles.

Even if he hadn’t given him a good reason to want to protect him that day.

He was right next to him too before the spores came out.

Where was he now?

Leo wanted his big brother.

He screams out his name in fear as the mech that carries the main Kraang finally stands in front of him.

Just like that, Raph appears too.

Leo realizes he’s brought him right into danger and tries to warm him.

Raph kneels down and smiles at him widely.

“What’s the matter, Leo? Raph’s here, it’ll be okay.”

“D-Don’t you see him?”

“Everything is fine, Leo. I promise.”

Leo relaxes for a split second until blood splashes on his face.

Raph had been impaled where he almost had been before.

Leo’s throat begins to hurt, is he screaming again?

He can’t tell.

His face goes to the floor, body curling around himself and the inhaler still in his grip somehow.

The screaming from him is in fact happening, others could hear it even if he couldn’t.

Especially the real Raph.

After the spores had been sprayed and he couldn’t see his brothers, he thought he heard them further away.

He had no clue that the hallucinations could be auditory as well.

After rushing to where they might have been, the sounds got worse.

Donnie, Mikey, Leo, all begging for his help.

No matter where he went he couldn’t reach them.

“Guys! Where are you!?”

“Casey.”

Raph whips his head around.

“Leo?“ He swears he can hear Leo again.

“Listen to me. When I get to the other side, you close that door.”

Raph feels his stomach drop, bringing up his arm to confirm what the hallucinations are making him see and hear.

On his wrist is the device he couldn’t bring himself to wear ever again.

The one that let him hear Leo making a decision he never should have made.

The one that let him hear what that monster was doing to him.

He starts rushing back to the direction he previously left, hoping his brothers hadn’t moved.

The rushing becomes more urgent when he hears Leo scream his name.

He’s moving so fast he nearly trips over his own feet several times.

When he finally sees Leo, everything in front of him turns into a hell scape.

Leo is in front of him, bloodied, bruised, cracks on his plastron and shell, and looking absolutely terrified.

The Krang mech is standing over him.

Raph can’t be sure at all that this how it was in the prison dimension, maybe this was accurate or maybe it’s just how he imagined it was.

Just like he never mentioned what he saw, Leo always redirected what it was like in those moments before Mikey was able to save him.

All he knew is what he and everyone else heard.

Raph knows this is all fake, something to mess with his head.

That doesn’t make his guilt go away in the slightest.

He wasn’t there to stop him, protect him.

When Splinter made Leo leader Raph wasn’t upset or mad because he got replaced, he seriously could not care less who led who in terms of responsibility.

He was worried that it meant Leo would take the brunt of the hits, be the shield when that was supposed to be what Raph does.

Raph is huge, that’s obvious.

None of his brothers can ever tell how small they are to him. Not just in size, but….how can you forget that you used to hug them close because they were scared of the dark?

They run out of your arms and when that’s when you realize that there’s so many things way scarier than the dark.

You want to scoop them back up so they don’t run too far to keep close.

Leo had managed to go so far away.

The Krang mech hits Leo across the face, splattering blood on the floor.

He hears Leo scream bloody murderer, screams he wished never would come from any member of his family.

Raph feels something snap in his brain that is usually reserved just for his savage modes.

He powers up, creating a larger version of himself to clap its arms together. This forces the spores in the air to disburse and clears the area.

He then stares down the fake Krang and stomps it.

The hallucination loses its hold. When he lifts the foot back up there’s just the pole that Donnie gave Leo under it.

Leo flinches, slowly but shakily lifting up his head.

“N-No….not again….please….” He nearly whispers.

Raph reaches out to see if he was real.

Leo tears up heavily.

Raph can see the utter terror on his face.

“Let him go. Stop….stop doing this. He doesn’t deserve it! Why can’t you leave him alone….!?” Leo shouts hoarsely, his throat already rough.

Raph quickly stops with his other form, but

Leo suddenly stands up and grabs at his arms before he can say anything.

“Get off him! How dare you use his body for this!? Again!? Haven’t you done enough to him!? To me!?”

“Listen to me, it’s not real! Those spores are making us hallucinate.”

Leo’s eyes widen.

“It’s….fake….? I….I didn’t bring him back here? You’re….you’re not….?”

“I’m the real deal, I promise.”

Leo feels the adrenaline that kept him standing give out along with his legs.

Ralph keeps him steady, moving to pick him up.

“N-No….just….let me use your arm, please.”

“You’re not in good shape Leo…..I heard you screaming.”

Leo breathes shakily.

“I want to know I can still make myself move.”

Raph isn’t entirely sure he gets it, but there was no way he was going to deny him what he seemed to need because of that.

He nods and puts Leo’s arm around his own since his shoulder would be too up high to help.

“We need to find Donnie and Mikey.”

“Maybe you can explain everything as we walk….I am so lost right now.”

“Not anymore, Leo.”

Leo smiles faintly.

“I’m going to let that corny thing pass since I think we could both use that right now.”

Raph smiles back and walks with him.

When the spores had first erupted around them, Donnie felt his hand get grabbed.

He knew who it was by the texture of the hand right away.

Of course the size is another indicator, but Donnie focused a lot on how things feel.

Raph’s hand is rougher than everyone else’s, both because he often uses his fists and the fact he lifts weights which causes calluses.

Leo’s hand is the softest because of his use of gloves during their fights, and the incredibly long list of skin care products he owns.

Mikey’s hand usually has something else on it, chalk dust, or finger paint, or, one time, peanut butter, which made Donnie gag.

That’s the hand that pulled him away.

They moved fairly fast.

“Ugh, this smells like when we found that cheese dad was hoarding so it could age. Be careful Mikey, we could start hallucinating at any moment.” Donnie warns.

“Maybe if you could do more than spend your time on dumb inventions we wouldn’t be in this mess.”

Donnie rips his hand out of his grip.

“You’re not-!….Am I trying to say something to a hallucination? Great, now I’m a cliché.”

Saying that other part out loud was also pointless, he knows.

He was basically talking to himself right now.

Those stupid invasive mushrooms were trying to turn baseless thoughts into tangible visions.

What he doesn’t understand is how and why it happened this way.

If it followed the pattern of what Mikey and Raph saw, he would see something he’s supposedly scared of relating to the Krang.

However, feeling and hearing shouldn’t have been part of it.

Had it been that case, what he did to help Raph wouldn’t have worked.

Was it the amount of spores? Was there a certain set of rules he wasn’t aware of?

He missed some variable, this is exactly why he hates when he’s missing data.

Donnie turns around to try to get back to where he was taken from.

“I can’t believe you chose those jerks over me.”

He’s taken aback by the new voice but tries to remind himself that it means nothing.

“It’s always about what you want. She makes fun of me and you join up with her just for a jacket? Do I really man less to you than a jacket…..?”

“That is not how I feel! She knows that!”

“Maybe…..maybe Donnie thinks we’re too dumb to be his brothers. He wishes we were like him.”

What? Mikey again?

“Are you kidding? I bet he wishes he was an only child. Donnie never cares about what we’re doing, he just waits to talk about what he’s doing.”

No, Raph wouldn’t say that!

He turns, only to see Leo right in front of him.

“Stop it! I know you’re not real!”

“Thanks for the advice, Donnie.”

“I didn’t give you any!”

“Sure you did. Back when Ghost Bear showed up. “Leo, sacrifice yourself? Buy us some time?” Does that ring any bells?”

Donnie freezes.

“I-It was a joke.”

“How about when I was supposed to protect you because I sell the least amount of toys?”

“Obviously another joke!”

“No, Donnie. It pushed me to do what had to be done. I’ll do it as many times as I need to.”

Donnie grits his teeth.

“No! You won’t! I’ll stop you!”

“Stop me? How? With another gift disguised as a way to tell me you hate me?”

“It was a real gift! I thought it would help!”

The shock collar suddenly appears on Leo.

“It’s a real pain in the neck, Dontron.”

It shocks him, making him writhe and scream in pain.

Donnie can’t help but scream as well.

I know Leo is your favorite. I am curious what’s your opinion on Raph?

I love him! I actually love all the guys pretty much equally, it's just that I love Leo a tiny bit more.

The thing about Raph, though, is in some of the iterations he is reduced down to a base "angry guy" personality; and I prefer it when the writers tell us why he is angry, and show more aspects of who he is.

For example, the "why" being, as Splinter put it in my story "Something Wicked", when Raph got angry and punches things after... well, that's a spoiler:

"I am sorry if someone has hurt you in their anger," he said, placing his touch on the teen's arm. "But I swear to you that Raphael would never do so. He is first and foremost a protector, and he believes at this moment that he has failed in that charge. Would you feel any different, if one person you loved was missing, and two others unwell?"

He wants to protect people; that is his primary personality trait, not "angry guy". That is doubtless why he became Nightwatcher in the 2007 movie. It wasn't because he wanted to go out there bashing heads in (that was just a bonus), it was because he wanted to protect people, and when Leo left they stopped doing that. Interestingly, the things that Leo found distasteful about the Nightwatcher were very much the same things that Leo himself was doing in the jungle in South America, but it seems that Raph was actually more conscious of not killing anyone in the process (you can't tell me that Leo let that guy in the Jeep actually live... not with that blood-curdling scream).

But, yeah, Raph and Leo are actually very much alike in that they are protectors of others, except that Leo goes about it very differently. The jungle example notwithstanding, in most versions Leo is the big brother that goes to his younger sibling's bullies and gives them a calm warning; Raph is the big brother that goes to his younger sibling's bullies and pushes them against the wall and tells them to back the hell off or deal with him... then he goes home and smacks the younger sibling across the head.

He can be very soft when he wants to be, though, so those soft moments have much more of an impact. Like in Tales Of Leo in 2k3, when he was the only one to cry when he told his story; or in both Bayverse and MM when he confessed his love for his brothers when he thought they were all going to die; or how well he got along with little Yoshi in TMNT 3; or when, in the 2007 movie, he told Splinter about Leo getting taken; or in Batman Vs. TMNT when he lectured Batman about the importance of family. But one of the most heart-wrenching moments had to be in Same As It Never Was when he was dying and used his last ounces of strength to crawl to Leo's side.

And as I said, I love it when his other interests are put on display. Like when he is shown knitting and carving in Bayverse, or working on his bike in 2k3, or playing video games with the guys in whatever iteration. In the future world of the TMNT Archie run, he is shown to be married and runs a restaurant where he is the chef. And though it is not an interest, knowing that he is afraid of insects makes him seem more down-to-earth and less of just the tough turtle.

Some of his "traits", I must admit, are simply headcanons to me. Because of his protective nature, I like to think of him as a gifted medic (albeit one whose bedside manner could use some working on), whose medical knowledge is second only to Don's. Also, I picture him being able to speak Spanish, which he learned by hanging out with people in the Bronx (also where he picked up his distinct-in-the-family accent). Both of those things, again, I wrote into "Something Wicked", which even has a whole chapter about Raph called "The Protector".

So, yeah, I think Raph is awesome! I just wish we could see more of it onscreen, you know? I am really looking forward to how Tales Of The TMNT utilizes him!

She's 12 and her personality is a mix of everyone of her elder brothers.! She also has picked up a bunch of their habits. Like Leo's smirk, Donnie's evil scientist cackle, Mikey's energy and Raph's Obsession over teddy bears/plushies.! And since she's a mix of everyone's personality, she is the MOST chaotic in the family.

Happy (birth)day

This is my first writing since I wrote my school deadlines and I hope it doesn't suck entirely. Also!! Happy Birthday Danny (and Jason Grace of course!) Specific request I allowed is also by Danny :) Pairing: Platonic Jason, Piper, and more! Romantic Leo Valdez x reader :) Request: Can I request camp shenanigans where Jason and reader have their birthdays on the same week (like me and Jason!) So Piper and Leo throw us a surprise party in the bunker? Obvsly Leo and reader are dating 🥺 but you can choose whether Piper is just there for platonic support to her besties or of it's still Jasper era Warnings: none! Word count: 2.2k -Asja

You were suspicious already when, as you had breakfast, Leo did not greet you excitedly. Even worse, you did not see your boyfriend at the Hephaestus table at all. He wouldn’t have forgotten about your and Jason’s birthday’s, right? Leo must be planning something, and as you didn’t manage to spot Piper, who arrived at camp a few days ago, you figured they must have made a plan together. Your suspicions were correct, as when you met with Jason to ask him if he had any ideas, you both were approached by Harley.

“Big bro Leo told me to deliver this,” he handed you a small device, saluted, and ran off. “Thanks…?” you said, looking at his disappearing figure. Jason carefully took the device off your hands. “He must be planning something,” Jason examined the device closely, “I’m guessing with Piper as she wasn’t at breakfast either,” he sighed, “I just hope they didn’t entirely skip breakfast.” “I am sure they had something to eat, Leo loves food after all.” You noticed something on the device and quickly grabbed it, “Is this a button…?” you pressed it, and almost dropped the device as a small, hologram Leo came out.

“Sure hope the timer works on this thing, right Pipes?” Leo laughed, before stepping away and holding his hands behind his back, as if they were bound together. Off camera you could hear Piper laugh. “Would be awkward if it didn’t,” her voice sounded, “otherwise the whole ruse might fall through. 3.. 2.. 1.. go!”

“Ah! I’ve been captured!” Leo looked around frantically, “I’m not sure where I am but I sure hope this lil thing will get out-” he coughed as he cowered, “Please, whoever finds this- I need help-” Leo pretended to think and shook his head, “All I remember is this name- Nona and something about a vault?” he looked straight into the camera, “please find me, and bring all your friends! I can’t die on my lover’s and my best friend's birthdays. It would ruin their lives! Please-” A loud rumble sounded from somewhere behind the camera, and Leo looked up before loudly exclaiming “FUCK” as the hologram stopped.

“Nona?” you asked and Jason laughed. “It’s a Latin prefix for nine, he’s in Bunker 9,” he explained. “Leo’s a nerd,” you said affectionately, “Well, let’s round up all our friends before Leo fakes his death again.”

Unsurprisingly, all your friends were really easy to find. As in, most of them were already talking, not suspiciously at all, in a circle, right outside the dining hall. Even more not suspicious behavior was when Jason and you approached them Percy very loudly went, “Hey guys! I sure hope Leo is okay, ah-” Annabeth elbowed him. “Happy birthdays!” she smiled, “Anything fun planned?”

“Funny that you mention Leo, Percy,” you sighed, pretending to be worried “seems like he’s in a bit of a pickle right now.” “(Y/n), we both know he’s come out of worse situations,” Jason said next to you, and he put a hand on your shoulder, “The things he said was so cryptic, I think it’s for the best if we just let him figure it out on his own.”

“Oh?” Nico feigned interest, “I love cryptic hints, what are they?” You could see Will hide a smile as he looked at his lover.

“Something about a Nona-” you gasped, “Wait, Jason! Do you think it’s an ex?” Jason huffed, to conceal his laugh. “Maybe, or it’s Latin for nine, but Leo doesn’t know much Latin so that’s unlikely.” Jason sighed, “I’m sorry (Y/n), I guess we’ll have to travel around the U.S. to find Leo.”

“Perhaps a monster is forcing him to learn Latin,” you looked at Jason, “and we both know how that changes people,” “What do you mean, ‘how Latin changes people’?” Jason hit your arm. “They get all serious, Jason,” you gave him a look of pity, “and for Leo that might be deadly.”

Jason gave your statement a moment of thought before nodding sadly. “Who wants to hold a funeral?” he asked, “That way from this year on we can celebrate three things on this day.”

“How about we hold the funeral in Bunker 9?” Annabeth suggested, “It’s a place he loved most.” Before you could react, Nico started walking away. “I’m getting a coffin, be right back.”

“Where will he get a coffin from?” Percy muttered and Will smiled. “He still has some left over from refurbishing cabin 13.”

“Why?” Percy whispered, not expecting an answer.

As your little progression moved closer to Bunker 9, you had trouble keeping it all together. Nico had six skeletons carry an empty coffin up front. Meg and Grover caught up to you with a bunch of flowers, all potted, which each person carried one of. Except for Jason, who was carrying a torch to light the pyre with that was yet to be built.

The entire Hephaustus cabin was following you, holding up their banner, and Harley excitedly kept running around. Of course, you were certain everyone was aware that this was all a joke, especially when Chiron stopped you to ask what was happening and you simply went; “Oh, Leo got killed by Latin,”

Chiron was confused, but did not ask further questions about the funeral progression. In the end, it made sense as Leo probably got permission to do something in Bunker 9. As you approached the bunker, you noticed that the door was opened, and as the skeletons with the coffin entered first you only heard a muffled “SUPRISE!” from inside. As you entered, most of the progression gave up the pretense, but Jason and you had a goal. So, fully ignoring Leo, Piper, and all the other people that were in the bunker, you both stepped onto the nearest empty table. You noticed Leo standing on the front row, but quickly looked away.

“Today,” Jason’s voice boomed over the crowd, which was being rowdy, “we lost our dear friend Leonidas Valdez,” The crowd was silent except-

“HEY! I am not dead!” Leo’s said loudly. “Sometimes-” you sniffed, “I can still hear his voice. Gone too soon, rest in peace my love.”

“What the fuck happened-” Leo exclaimed.

“If I understand correctly,” Everyone suddenly looked at the entrance, seeing Chiron standing there, “You became Latin, a dead language.” Chiron’s scrutinizing gaze went over the party, “But as you seem rather alive, I think instead you shall be having stable duty for the next month, starting tomorrow, as you did not request to hold a party.”

“Aw man,” Leo sighed, “Can we at least hold it now?” he looked with a hopeful gaze to Chiron who sighed. “As long as I do not perceive anything more to do with this activity. Happy Birthday (Y/n), Jason,” and he galloped away.

Jason and you burst out laughing, as Leo pouted at you two. After you calmed down, you slowly made your way off the table.

“Your timer didn’t work,” you said as you softly gave your boyfriend his device, and a kiss on the cheek. He fidgeted with the device for a little bit before he sighed. “So you made it more dramatic?” he asked, after which he sighed, “I love you. Happy Birthday, my love.” he smiled, “Oh, and (Y/n) of course-”

“Hey!” you gasped and Jason laughed. “Love you too, Leo.” he said as he put his hand on Leo’s head, petting him “Pisada Carinosa” he muttered.

“That’s it I am finding Nona and dating her-” you turned around, only to be met with Piper. “You could date me if you’re done with Leo.” she smiled and you grinned, before hugging her. “I just might,” you joked as you let her go. Leo quickly grabbed your hand, and pulled you towards him and pressed a kiss on your lips. “Nuhuh- you are not getting rid of me that easily corazoncito,”

After a while, Piper said it was time for the main activity of the day. She led everyone into a “room” that was hidden behind curtains. As you walked in, you saw a gigantic screen and piles of pillows on the floor.

She instructed everyone to sit down, as Leo and her handed out buckets of popcorn and other snacks. You sat next to Jason, who was holding a letter.

“What’s that?” you asked, and Jason looked up. “Thalia couldn’t make it to camp, but she left a letter.” He showed you a picture of her and Reyna, standing at the Grand Canyon, “it’s weird how that’s where it started,” he smiled sadly, “how far we’ve all come since meeting each other.” “Hug?” you asked and he nodded.

Engulfed in your presence, Jason began to relax. Certainly, losing his memories was hard and he often doubted whether he deserved Leo and Piper as friends, or if they even wanted to be his friend. But nowadays, he couldn’t be more certain that what he had was his. You, Leo, Piper, Frank, Hazel, Reyna, Bobby, his sister Thalia. All these friendly faces, that mean so much to him. He thanked the gods for his spot in both camps, and for allowing him to be happy and alive. As he let you go again, he had to blink away his tears.

“Thanks,” he whispered, and he leaned back against the pillows. Shortly after, the big screen started playing. Before the movie even got to its proper beginning, Leo squeezed himself between you and Jason, leaning mostly on Jason. Piper sat on your other side, and cuddled up on your shoulder, as you leaned a bit against Leo.

The Barbie opening sequence started playing, to great delight of the people in the room.

“How?” you whispered, “This movie has barely been out for a week-” “My dad pulled some strings,” Piper smiled, “got us a private release.” “That’s awesome.” you grabbed her hand, and looked her in the eye, “Piper I love you-” she laughed. “Anything for my friends.”

After the movie was done, Leo asked the real question.

“So who are the Barbie and Ken of Camp Half-Blood?” Out of nowhere he got out prisoner signs, one with Barbie on it and one with Ken on it.

“Jason is Ken, right?” Piper stated, “I mean look at him, it’s like he’s made for the ‘beach’ job description-” unanimous sounds of agreement came from the crowd, and Leo gave Jason the Ken sign.

“I fully agree.” Leo said, before he got interrupted by the laughter of Nico.

“Sorry-” the son of Hades wheezed, “Will’s pouty because he thinks Piper used charmspeak to convince people Jason is Ken-” Nico grinned as his boyfriend tried to forcefully shut him up by smothering him.

“Barbie is a doctor though,” you grinned, “I think Will makes a perfect Barbie.”

“Oh! I was going to suggest our local Barbie, Pip-” before Leo could finish the sentence Piper harshly stepped on his toe, before ripping the Barbie sign out of his hands.

“And our local Barbie!” she grinned evily, “Will Solace!” she handed the son of Apollo his sign, and he hesitantly accepted it, and he stood up.

“Well, as I am Barbie I guess I will go to my Ken now. I hate you for this Di Angelo,” Will walked towards Jason, and sat down next to him, slightly awkwardly. As you looked at Nico, you saw that the smile of sheer delight had not yet left his face, “Love you too, Barbie.” he called from across the room, eliciting some laughter from the audience.

As the party was slowly calming down, you had a moment of calm with your friends. Leo was softly holding you from behind, as you were conversing with Piper and Jason.

“Thanks for organizing this guys,” you said looking at Piper and Leo.

“It’s nothing,” Piper smiled, “I’m happy we got this many people here in the end.”

“Yeah, you’re welcome! Too bad I have stable duty now though.” Leo looked sulky. “I might try to talk him out of it,” Piper said, “After all, your birthday is in like two days too.”

“That’s true, hey Jason,” you turned your gaze to the son of Jupiter. “Yes?” he returned your gaze. “Wanna fake our deaths for Leo’s birthday party.” “Of course,” Jason grinned.

“Please don’t” Leo pleaded. “I’ll help!” Piper smiled. After a second of silence, everyone broke out in laughter.

It was indeed a happy (birth)day.

Leo has never taken a beating like that before. Never, it was- he can’t even describe it. It just hurt. He was usually more physically affectionate out of his brothers he’d say, although he’d never admit it, he was. But lately he’s been more… reserved. Something Raph has taken notice of. Something Donnie has taken notice of most of all.

Donnie because Leo has been around him much more lately. Not like- around, but he’s been willingly hanging out with him more often than not. Even letting him ramble sometimes. Sometimes Leo doesn't even make a snarky nerd comment. If Donnie didn't know better he’d say his brother had become genuinely interested.

But Donnie knew better.

“What? No-, no there's no reason I'm just,” Leo paused and tried to glance for something he recognized in the lab “,interested in all your nerd shit.” Donnie rolled his eyes. “Not that it's shit,” Leo continued “,just that it's.. y'know?-”

“That's exactly it Leo, I do know. I know you don't actually care about my science so why are you here?,” Donnie pressured, even though he really didn't mean to “,you would rather die before even stepping foot in here last time I checked. Are you sick? Have you been infected with some kind of brain eating parasite?”

“No-? No! No I'm just-...” Leo paused. “I’m sorry,” he said.

Donnie blinked at him for a moment, for a moment he processed his brother’s stained clothes and quivering hands and well, someone could say he didn't really process it at all. “Ok you’re definitely not Leo, come back when you’ve found my brother Ta-Ta!” Turning back towards his desk, Donnie’s robot arms started ushering Leo out the door playfully - but also not, Leo could tell - “Donnie I'm serious.”

He turned back to look at his brother, expecting a scowl or a death stare, or hell maybe even a grimace but what Donnie did not expect were tears.

Leo of course, did not expect this either. Usually he’d be able to tell when it’d start, maybe coincidentally right at the time for a bathroom break, but this time it was just- it was sudden. And he didn't know why. He just felt all this-... pain in his arm, it was like his shoulder was screaming against the cold titanium, and he felt all the nerves in his face quiver and suddenly he was crying and did it just get unusually warm for a robotics lab all of a sudden and-.

“Oh god Nardo, please no crying in the lab. You’re going to start a fire,” Donnie said straight, now ushering them both away from the open electric circuits - not so playfully this time.

“I’m sorry,” Leo muffled.

“Stop saying that.”

The steel door closed behind them.

Donnie woke up to 3 loud clangs at his door in quick succession. He knew the quick succession meant desperation - given how it was 6pm after a night shift, around the time where all of his brother’s should have been deeply asleep. That means any clangs on his door should have been slow and groggy; something sleeping Donnie could have easily passed off as another way his dreams become vivid and “full of life.”

“Hey Donald?” his brother drawled “,It's Leo, can you open up?”

Donnie rolled over onto his side and groaned into his pillow, muffling something causing a loud swoosh and the yellow light of golden hour whistling into his room.

Leo stood in the doorway awkwardly waiting for his brother to react at all, deciding it was ok to step in once he heard a grunt of recognition and a small shoulder nudge coming from the pile of blankets. “Thanks,” Leo said, going to sit down as the doors closed behind him, once again blanketing the room in a dimly lit purple.

Donatello rolled over to look at his brother, blankets still covered up to his nose “, what do you want Leo?”

Something in his face tightened “, oh- nothing, just had a nightmare and…” Leo paused “,you know…”

“I don’t, please enlighten me.”

“I didn't want to be alone.”

Donnie let out a hearty sigh and grumbled something starting somewhere with “-ull” and ending somewhere in “-it.” “Why wouldn't you go to Raph, he’d be far more equipped for this situation,” Donnie muffled out, closing his eyes.

“I don't know- I just,” Leo did know. He sat there with a blinking purple light in his face “,Raph seems like he has so much on his plate, right? I wouldn't want to-”

“And I don’t?” His brother snapped louder than he would have liked to.

They stared at each other in stunned silence for a minute - both too tired to really process anything but Leo knew that wasn't the entirety of it, Donnie did not.

“No, that’s not what I meant at all, I mean- We all have our own stuff going on, and I know you do too. It's just- I'm just… I don't know,” he just didn't want to say it. “I’m sorry,” he said again.

“Stop saying that,” Donnie ordered.

“Sorry,” Leo whispered.

“I’m serious. It’s weird coming out of your mouth.”

“Well what do you want me to say?”

“I don't want you to say anything,” Donnie answered “,I never said you had to say anything.”

“Oh so you don't want me to say anything?” Leo hissed.

“Oh shut up.”

“Sorry.”

“See that is a socially correct time to apologize for something,” Donnie rolled over “,when you’re being an ass.”

Leo hunched back into his brother's desk chair “,sorry for being an ass.”

“You're always an ass,” his brother jeered.

“Ok now you apologize,” Leo quipped back.

Donnie sighed and rolled over onto his shell, staring at the ceiling. “Why are you in here, Nardo?”

Leo looked up and started fiddling with his hands, stroking each of his fingers up and down before moving onto the next one. If Donnie didn't know any better he’d say his brother was ignoring the question, but Donnie knew better. Leo thought whether he wanted to answer honestly. Actually, he was honestly thinking about whether he wanted to be honest with himself. Of course, he didn't think that, why would he think that? No, instead of that very narrow, straight forward thought process his brain decided to run him in a circle like a rat on a hamster wheel.

“I don't know,” Leo lied, hiccuping on the last word.

“Ok, well when you do know, you can tell me,” Donnie complied, without a stutter or misspeak.

Donnie glanced at his brother, wincing at the sudden onslaught of tears streaming down his face, not quite knowing what to do.

“I am trying-, so hard not to say sorry right now,” Leo sputtered out.

“Thank you, please don't,” Donnie said propping himself up “,do you want me to get Raph?” Leo went cold. “Or maybe Mikey-” Donnie continued.

“No! No, please don't.”

“Ok! Ok I won't,” his brother affirmed.

Donnie took his covers off and placed his foot on the floor, slightly leaning into Leo’s personal space in the chair across from him. Leo felt his entire body go tense and numb and it hurt, why did it have to hurt “Please don’t touch me!” Leo cried out. “OH! I won't- I wasn't,” Donnie lurched back, surprised “,I wasn't going to touch you. Believe me I don’t want to either.”

Leo huffed, biting his lip, his face pinching, his breath hissing through his clenched teeth. His heart was beating so fast he swore he was about to have a heart attack, but, again, Donnie knew better. “Leo, look at me,” he said “,look at me.”

Leo looked up, feeling the world get clearer around him, yet that somehow made him feel worse. Donnie watched as his brother’s face tightened before he curled himself into a little ball, clutching his hands over his ears as if even the silence had become too much for Leo to handle.

Donnie crawled out of his bed and onto the floor, sitting beside the spinning chair Leo had begun rocking on. “Y’know, you can go into your shell if you want to,” Donnie recommended, pulling for what helpful scraps he could.

“I don't want to go into my shell,” Leo hiccuped through his knees.

“Ok,” his brother answered.

“Donnie?”

“Yeah?”

“Can you hold my hand,” Leo knew it was a big ask of him but- he needed a big ask right now.

Donnie hesitated and thought a bit before answering “,Yes.” Dislodging his arm from under his head, Leo squeezed his brother’s hand as hard as he could. Still curled up with his knees up against his forehead.

Donnie rested his head against the seat of the chair and let his body go limp. It's not the most uncomfortable place to sleep anyway.

“Hey Donnie?”

“Yeah, Nardo?”

“Thank you.”

Donnie muffled out a “you're welcome,” before slowly dozing into a half-sleep. Leo’s hand kept grasping tighter by the hour, and y'know what? Donnie was ok with that. They decided not to mention it in the morning; just giving Leo one of his convenient bathroom breaks.

i remember seeing your request and thinking "you are speed" after posting your first request. but i need to apologize ... you've been collecting a little dust in my inbox for a while now. i've decided to chalk that up to "adulting sucks." because it does.

i also want to emphasize how much i love this request. i just do. i could never ignore your outbreak. I LOVE THIS !! you have the best ideas.

i included all the turtles in this fic, but it mainly focuses on leo's connection with the reader. also, with toge's vocabulary being onigiri ingredients, i was a little stumped on figuring out how to use it in these headcanons; so i used this super useful reference on twitter! i try to give plenty of context in this piece, but if you want to have a better understanding feel free to check it out!

rise!leo with a reader who has the cursed speech technique.

first, let me give some backstory:

you had been fighting your way out of the battle nexus and running from big mama's people in the hidden city

the turtles witness the fighting after it causes a commotion in town, and they were in awe

your fighting skills were amazing, but they was so intrigued by the obvious effect your words had on your opponents.

after the turtles helped you (because they couldn't just watch), they all turned around to talk to you

to which you simply greeted them with "kelp (hello)."

to say they were confused is an understatement

you felt a little helpless trying to communicate with them; they couldn't understand you if they didn't know about your ability

after a humiliating game of charades, you were able to get a pen and paper to write down an explanation for them

they understood, and offered to get you out of the hidden city and a place to hide from big mama for a while

donnie even offered to make a translation device so that you could communicate with them better

you were thankful for their kindness, and soon enough ... you all became friends

leo at first assumed you were a bit aloof because of how quiet you were, but he eventually noticed that you were actually a very social person

when you first met them, you only listened to their conversations intently.

but once they were able to understand you better, you even participated in them.

but your vocabulary is still pretty small and it makes it hard to communicate fully the way you want to

it's an insecurity, and you are terrified of somehow hurting the turtles with your ability

you have great control, but mistakes can happen ... it's a fear that looms over your head.

not to mention, you’ve had people befriend you to take advantage of your power, and you were scared of the heartbreak again.

those fears make you slowly pull yourself away from them, and leo worries when he notices you get distant

so he does confront you one day, worried that you’ll completely remove yourself from their lives

and he doesn’t want that, and he’s intent on trying to help you feel better when you (hesitantly) open up to him

it makes you feel better, and you almost cry a little when he says

“listen (name), while i’ll never stop admiring how cool your power is, i’d chose to brag about you over your power any day. people might see you as that, but i see you for who you are. you’re way cooler than that, so don’t let people define you by your power.”

he flinches a bit when you jump up to hug him, but smiles when you whisper “salmon (thank you).”

he hugs you back, knowing the hug was much needed before he pulls away

“though if you ever want to use it to get us an unlimited supply of pizza, i won’t complain— ow!”

you playfully slap him and disagree. “okaka (no way).”

Heads Up Seven Up/Last Line Tag

Thanks for tagging me, @autumnalwalker and @buffythevampirelover! :D

I'm using this as an excuse to post the proposal scene from Houses Full of Deceit, complete with footnotes (and apologies to Shakespeare):

"Well," Leo stared up at a bird perched on the church's roof, "like I said, I like both. But I… there's a woman. Who I'm in love with. And who's out of my reach." If Phil listened very carefully she was sure she could have heard her heart break. Leo continued, "So I like Louis as a friend, but I don't love him." "Who is she?" Phil forced herself to sound almost casual. Leo had never mentioned another woman in any of his letters. But then, he'd never mentioned any men either. "An actress?" "No. No, she's… she's someone I wronged very badly years ago. I realised I loved her too late." Leo became very interested in the church's noticeboard. "I caused her a great deal of misery. I nearly got her arrested for a crime I committed, and I didn't speak up to save her." Phil listened in a mixture of bewilderment and growing hope. She tried her damnedest to keep the hope back. It would only hurt more when she was proved wrong. "Does she know about this?" Leo laughed, a nervous and almost strangled sound. "She does now." "Does she forgive you?" He looked up. Their eyes met. Phil saw her own fears and hopes reflected in his. "I don't know," he whispered. "And does she love you?" "How could she?" Leo turned almost angrily. He leant his back against the railings and glared at the undertaker's shop across the road. "She knows my worst sins now. What sane woman would love me?" Phil had scandalised some proper-minded ladies by reading the complete works of Shakespeare. She hadn't admitted why. Even to herself she had to admit it was a very good way of passing a few months, but a silly way to feel closer to the man she loved. It stood her in good stead now. "She has you, if she has you, at your worst. And she will have you, if she has you, better and better[2]." Silence stretched between them. Leo's eyebrows made a spirited attempt to disappear into his hairline. He made several attempts to speak. Phil had come this far. If she was going to make a fool of herself, she might as well do it thoroughly. "If I can love you for this, take me. If not, to say to thee I shall die is true, but not for your love. Yet I love you too[3]. And therefore tell me…" She hesitated, trying to work out whether she should adapt "most fair Katharine" as "most fair Leopold" or leave it out entirely. Leo took the decision out of her hands. "And therefore tell me, most fair," he reached out hesitantly and brushed a strand of hair back from her face, "will you have me?" His fingers skated down to her cheek, his touch so feather-light she could scarcely feel it. Phil's knowledge of Shakespeare failed her. "Yes," she said simply.

Footnotes (if you're wondering what happened to 1, it isn't included in this excerpt):

[2] Adapted from Henry V, Act V Scene 2: "...thou hast me, if thou hast me, at the worst; and thou shalt wear me, if thou wear me, better and better…". (Henry means his physical appearance will improve with age; Phil misremembers it as referring to his morals improving.)

[3] Phil gets her speeches out of order here; "If I can love…" to "Yet I love you too" are adapted from the same scene in Henry V but are much earlier than the rest of the lines quoted. (The proper quotation is "If thou canst love me for this, take me: if not, to say to thee that I shall die, is true; but for thy love, by the Lord, no; yet I love thee too.")

GitS Asks!

Considering in 2003, Donatello was stung because he was protecting Raphael? Yes, Ghost would still be mutated even with Phantom there. I feel like with both Phantom and Ghost around, the kids probably figured it out a lot quicker. They still call each other "Raph/Raphie" and "Don/Donny" without thinking about it, and that's just too many coincidences.

Spirit doesn't hover over them like Ghost does. I mean, he does, but he stays secret for much longer than Ghost does. He's more of the turtles' secret sensei.

Spoilers! From now on I'm not gonna be answering asks that ask for direct spoilers. If you're not sure, go ahead and ask anyway, but if you don't see it, that means it was too spoilery!

Spoilers! But this story arc will be wrapped up before the hiatus. Or at least part of it will be.

Normally he's 5'8". He is now 10'9".

Ouuuhhh I've thought about this before. He'd only be 16. He'd be the same age as the other turtles. Ough. Send him back in time to save the Rise kids with Casey. Nah but forreal, he'd probably die before that final battle. He's too stubborn.

(puts this in the GitS asks anyway) IDK RISE SPLINTER ALSO SEEMS FINE GALAVANTING AROUND MOSTLY NAKED??? At least he wears underpants.

Personally I have the headcanon (and thus in GitS) Splinter tried to get them to wear clothes but they kept pulling them off, so Splinter gave up. It's like trying to keep four cats in a basket.

SAINW would happen differently, I think, but I truly believe that SAINW happened because they were too busy looking for their brother when Shredder took off using the rocket. I believe that 03 Don seeing SAINW warned him to look deeper into what Shredder was doing, and therefore he found the rocket that they boarded during Exodus. It was the only way he would be convinced to kill his own family in order to stop that apocalypse world from happening.

So basically, yes, the apocalypse world still happens, just in different ways.

Losing Donny means they have no access to technology as good as they used to. Remember, at 15 Donatello could hold his own against Baxter Stockman, a genius adult man. The turtles have April, and she's very good, but she's also an adult woman and Donatello WAS 15. Don's mediator personality also helps. Mikey couldn't keep that up.

Losing Leo means they have no leader. Raph probably steps up, but he's reckless, he doesn't know how to think right, he doesn't trust himself to be leader. He makes mistakes. He has to learn from them. They all miss Leo.

Mikey going missing I think has the biggest impact on them. He makes jokes during dark times, keeps their spirit up, cheers them up all the time, always looking to make them laugh. They lost their sunshine and they're plunged into darkness. They don't hold back as much. Donnie's mellowness doesn't balance out Raph's rage or Leo's depression.

Losing Raph hits them all very hard. He's their protector. He takes the heavy hits. Leo trusts Raph to have his back more than anyone else. Raph second-guesses him when he believes he's wrong, makes Leo think more critically. I think Leo starts getting too caught up in his own head. He starts taking on some of Raph's traits. He gets overprotect of his family, he gets angry easier. He's so tired.

Some things are ingrained.

Splinter dismisses his own emotions and tries to bury them deep and never take them seriously, so he does the same with his own boys. It helped him, right? So they would okay, right??? Ghost is the opposite. He's the one that bottles up his emotions and hates himself for it, so he tried to teach his kids how not to be like that.

Dang if that ain't the mood idk what is. Part One will be over soon! Unlike Twilight the parts are probably just going to get shorter instead of longer. fhgkdgf

GitS Hiatus will be starting after chapter 31 is posted on July 14th! I have no idea how long it'll be. I'm gonna try and build up a backlock so I can post regularly like I did with Part 1.

How would the Peepaws that don't have a Donnie spirit with them react to seeing their F!Donnie again? (Poor guys haven't seen their twins in so long)

I would also like to present them with their favorite apocalypse foods.

And little Raph plushies. Because I love them and definitely don't want to see them cry. :3

Oh! This is good >:) (wasn’t sure if this was for bymh or not lol and I didn’t see this until after I posted the recent bymh hehe I’ll tag it as a bymh solely because of the gifts)

Anyways, a bit of a long post, kind of.

But easily, DMD would cry so, so hard. He would absolutely crumble and hug his twin so hard that he might break F!Donnie’s battle shell (if Donnie was wearing it). He would be unable to speak coherently and the only word that would be easiest to understand is the constant stream of “sorry”.

Reunion’s a cheater and got his brother back already, lol, but when the reset occurred, he and the entire family all hugged each other so tightly for hours. Tears were shed and bruises formed from how hard they hugged each other.

LCD, ohhhh, LCD. Life doesn’t get easier despite how much time passes. When he saw F!Donnie, he felt sick. It felt as if guilt and anger began to churn in his stomach in the worst way possible. And Donnie, ever the inquisitive fellow, was only intrigued by this reaction. Donnie died protecting him, so all Donnie is aware of is that he successfully saved his brother. Leo is reminded of his faults and how he wasn’t the leader smart enough to protect his twin.

(A)PAF is incredibly happy to see his twin. Through Donnie, he sees a chance. A chance to understand where the baby came from, because if anyone knew what Draxum was doing in that lab or anything in general, it would be Donnie. Unlike the others, Donnie didn’t die on regretful terms. He’s so happy he gets to rely on someone again.

And apocalypse foods…

DMD gets rat meat and beans from a can :D

He looks at the crudely plated meal with a nostalgic smile. The way the meat is still steaming and the beans that remain in the can boiling. It’s a bit charred, like he remembers, and he picks up his fork. He raises the fork slightly and says, “Thanks,” before digging in.

Reunion gets grilled roaches on a stick hehe

Reunion raises a brow, “Um… I feel like this is meant to be nostalgic or meaningful in some way, but this was last week’s dinner.”

Reunion don’t fucking lie

He snickers playfully and raises the stick, “Want a bite?”

LCD gets rat soup

He doesn’t say anything as he picks up the spoon and takes a sip. His breath hitches when the broth rests in his mouth for a few seconds before he swallows. Without a second to spare, he digs in quickly, as if on a time limit.

WDS gets rats on a stick

WDS stares at the steaming stick and the charred ends of the rat meat. He looks, rather displeased, but doesn’t outright show it. He takes a bite and nods, “Yeah, just like I remember it… you know, now that I’m back in time, I really took spices for granted. I can’t believe I used to live off of food like this.” He rubs his tympana on his shoulder as his siblings speak, and when he stops he finally says, “I mean, thank you for the food.”

Now, Raph plushies!

Awww, I feel they’ll be so cute and warm to hug!

DMD:

He stares at the plush in his lap. His breath is… tense. His entire body is tense. His gaze remains fixed on the small plushie, as if trying to stare directly into the plush’s soul. He swallows as his hand slowly reaches for his throat, his breath hitches for a second, and his other hand begins to shake. He shuts his eyes tight before his hand pick up the plush. His voice is small when he greets softly, “Hey, big brother…”

Reunion:

He smiles wide and almost childlike. He lifts the plush into the air and catches it with both hands. He spins with the small plush and laughing, “Look how small! It’s so tiny!”

LCD:

He stares at the plush. He taps the plush’s plastron with a glare. He doesn’t say anything, but he sighs. He removes his sword from his hip and unties the braided hilt. He untangles the red bandana and ties it over the plush’s red mask, returning the mask to its original owner. He doesn’t pick up the plush, but leaves.

WDS:

The slider picks up the plush, holding his hand over his mouth. He snorts, and clears his throat as he picks up the plush by its arm with his thumb and forefinger. “Hey, Raph, how do we feel about this little guy? You think he makes the perfect replacement for you?”

APAF:

He picks up the plush as his sight blurs with incoming tears. He tucks the plush in one of his belt pockets and leaves.
