The First Supervillain
So! A Typical "Early Start" AU where the events of The Show happen early in the Timeline. Like, in the 70's or 80's.
Danny never quite managed to fix his Public Perception, and even years into his career people still saw him as the Villain.
Coincidentally Valerie was seen as a Hero because of how often they were seen fighting. Even after they revealed their Identities and got together, they still had the occasional Battle. It was their love language.
His role as the Villain was Cemented when Pariah launched his Second Invasion of Earth after some dumbass accidentally freed him, and Danny took the Blame for it. Instead of being seen as the Hero who battled Pariah and stopped the Invasion, he was seen as the Tyrant to launched the Invasion in the first place, with Red Huntess being the one to defeat him in one final Ultimate Battle.
And honestly? He was fine with that. Now that he was the King of the Ghost Zone, he had the Authority to Regulate the Portal so villains stopped getting through. And that meant that he wasn't needed to stop random Ghost Attacks anymore. He could finally focus on College and his own Life, instead of sacrificing everything to act as the Protector of the Human Realm.
Val continued to be a Hero for a few more years, eventually retiring when it became Clear that the new generation of Heroes could pick up the Slack.
He went to College, got a Job as an Aerospace Engineer, and eventually proposed to Valerie.
About 20 years since his initial Accident, and he was doing great! He had moved into a humble home on the edge of town with his loving wife Val, his beautiful daughter Ellie, and his cute dog Cujo.
Yeah, life was good.
Until the day Danny accidently caused a Mass Crisis.
...
Superman was having some extreme trouble in dealing with his current Opponent. He had just been flying around the City, patrolling as Usual, when all of a sudden he had been attacked by a Flying Mech Suit.
At first he had assumed that Lex was giving it another Go, but he quickly realized that was not the case when the Armor seemed to Phase though solid matter in the middle of the battle. Lex had never made Tech advanced enough to do that on the fly.
This opponent was tough too. Strong enough and Durable enough to go blow for blow with him, and seemingly able to pull Advanced Weaponry from out of nowhere whenever he wanted. As tough as it was to admit, Superman as losing the Battle.
Then, without warning, the battle stopped. His opponent was staring at the space just behind him, with a look of pure dread. He turned around, and his heart stopped.
Floating behind him, staring right past him and directly at the Mech Suit, was the First Villain Phantom.
He looked much the same as when he had last been seen, although he was definitely Older. He had snow white hair, and glowing green eyes that seemed to stare right past him and into his very soul. He was wearing what seemed to be a costume of sorts, with an all black suit, white gloves, and white boots. Over his Shoulders sat a Cloak made of Stars, and above his head sat a Crown made of an Icy Blue Fire.
The Mech tried for a greeting, "Er- Hello t-Lord Phantom. How do you d-"
"Skulker."
"Y-yes?"
"What are you doing here? I thought I gave you explicit orders to stay in the Ghost Zone until further notice. You disobeyed me."
"Okay look. I got excited, that's my fault. It's just, I got anxious waiting. Can you really blame me? I've been waiting 20 years to take another Crack at the Human World, what's it matter if I left a few weeks Early?"
"I told you. You were supposed to wait exactly 20 Years, and you left Early. This calls for punishment."
"No wait!"
"Let's see how you feel after a few days as Soup."
The Villain pulled out a Thermos, and in a flash of green light, Skulker was gone, and the King was capping the Thermos. He then turned to Superman.
"I apologize for him, he decided to leave ahead of schedule." The King addressed him. "Now, Kryptonian. Rest and tend to your wounds, you will need to be in your best health if you want to continue saving the lives of those people below us."
With a dramatic flare, the King reached up and Tore a hole in Space. Through the Hole, Superman could only see an infinite Green Void, with the sound of screams cheering being heard through the rift.
The King departed through the Tear in Spacetime, and it closed behind him.
Superman tried to collect himself, and activated his League Emergency Comms.
"Attention All Founding Members, and Justice League Dark Members. This is Superman calling for an immediate Emergency Meeting."
He took a deep breath.
"Phantom is Back."

DP x DC Prompt
There are no more heroes.
Well, okay. Rewind a bit.
Danny has been doing the hero thing for a while now. He’s had a big reveal; everyone has accepted him (including his parents), the GIW disbanded, the Anti-Ecto acts repealed, and generally, everything is going great. Some of the A-Listers are even training as junior ghost hunters to help give him a break from his rogues! (Being Ghost King makes things hectic sometimes, and he just needs the extra help. Sue him!)
The point is, literally nothing is wrong with Danny Phantom’s afterlife.
And then Valerie Gray, the Red Huntress, disappears in front of his eyes.
Danny is baffled! She’s just…gone! Valerie just popped out of existence, like she was never there. But no matter how hard he searches in the Ghost Zone, he can’t find her soul anywhere. His core isn't broken in grief. So she’s not dead. Which is good. So then, where is she?
Some of the others come forward with ideas on how to find her. A few ghosts volunteer to go out into the mortal realm, an area Danny had declared off-limits, to see if she was out there. Danny approves it. He rounds up some of the friendlier (i.e., discreet) ghosts and Amity Parkers and demolishes the outside travel ban.
So everyone spreads out, looking for their dear frenemy and teammate. But it becomes apparent very quickly that something is wrong with the rest of the world.
There are no more heroes.
Every single living superhero on the face of the Earth has just…vanished. Villains are running amok; the countries are in chaos! Some aliens are invading Earth, mythical deities are trying to take over, and society is crumbling to the ground. Everything is on the brink of collapse.
Well, Danny was still there. And so were his people. They were pretty spread out, so could they just…take up the mantles? He also knew where to find the souls of dead heroes in the Zone; surely they wouldn't mind coming out of retirement for a little bit, especially if they couldn't die again. Oh! And that skeleton army leftover from Pariah Dark's reign might be useful in repelling those invading forces.
Honestly, there were more than enough hands to go around! And with the heroes gone, Danny didn't mind letting everyone out for a little break, as long as they followed his rules. They wouldn't stop the search for the other heroes, but hopefully, when they found them, the heroes wouldn't mind Danny's intervention too much. :)
In other words:
Someone fucks up, and all of Earth's living heroes are either wished out of existence or are whisked away to some far-off realm where Danny hasn't checked yet. In the attempt to figure out what's going on, Danny lets the dead run amok over the Earth as they search for clues. The skeleton army repels the invading armies, the souls of dead heroes deal with the world leaders, and his rogues and other Amity Parkers set up shop in place of famous heroes, trying to get the cities under control again.
Basically, they just do their best to keep everything from imploding until the Justice League and others are back.
(And why is it that Danny hasn't disappeared? Well, whatever caused everyone to go poof! only affected living heroes. Anyone heroes that were dead in the first place, or even just half-dead, stayed behind.)
#pondhead blurbs#danny phantom#dpxdc#reveal gone right au#ghost king au#for plot reasons#it doesn't count if the hero had died and then came back to life#lots of heroes would still be around then#but this is me pushing the halfa!jason todd narrative work with me here he deserves the fun#deadman is there too#and he's just thriving honestly. it's so nice to be around his own kind even if the world is ending#maybe ellie is whooshed away too cause she never technically died but she took up danny's moniker when he was crowned#vlad is ecstatic cause danny put him in charge of several states while they looked for clues including Wisconsin#skulker is replacing superman and just has a shitty S painted on his chest and just eats kryptonite like candy the first time he meets Lex#Kitty and Johnny take over in gotham and sam is now the new wonder woman#idk man just stupid stuff like this#the press is flabbergasted cause the fucking KING OF GHOSTS just showed up and he's 14 and just looking for some friends#Danny: hey guys sorry about the zombies and fire i'm just here to find my coworker and lil sister and maybe the other heroes#Danny: in the meantime i'll just let my army into the mortal realm to defend it while we figure out what's going on pls don't yell at us :)#the press: how do we explain this to the justice league when they come back. how do we explain that earth was saved by a 14 year old boy-#also idk which heroes are technically dead but are still kicking so if you feel like someone deserves liminal status slap it on them idc#some villains are trying for world dominance and some are just trying to find their buddies. their fight buds. where'd they go? :(#joker gets bitch slapped by a skeleton two days in and waylon becomes bffs with wulf#danny uses the watchtower as a base of operations and it's the only thing he doesn't want to give up when the heroes are back#i have no plot ideas beyond this#i just want everyone to be baffled that an army of the dead showed up while they were gone and just made sure everything stayed cool#later danny realizes he was technically the ruler of the world for a bit since his people were everywhere keeping the villains in check

DC and DP are 2 different universes. At the same time Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are creating the Justice League. Phantom and Red Huntress set up their own international superhero group in their world.
Phantom and Red Huntress find out after the near miss of the comet that they are not the only superheroes of their world. Because Danny and Valerie and many others started their hero journey as children they make sure that they have strict bylaws on children heroes and sidekicks.
These 2 universes are separate until one day something happens and the universes start to merge. Things get messy with the merge some people from both sides stop existing, some places merge smoothly, while other places are rocked by earthquakes and seem to fight each other for dominance.
Now you have 2 different hero groups that have run things differently existing in the same dimension. They but-heads on jurisdiction, policy and especially on how Justice League treats children superheroes.
Batman is not being happy with all these new heroes he knows nothing about and also they are questioning him on why he has children sidekicks. Batman doesn't look good to the DP universe heroes. (Remember Dick became robin around 10 and was the first sidekick).
One of the DP heroes is a woman about 60 called Senshi, she is the head of an organization based out of Japan that offers support to not just current magical girls but to retired one as well.

Not sure if this has been suggested before but what do you think about a DP x DC Cross where the JL discover Amity because the "It's Not Gay if he's Dead" joke escapes containment into mainstream? Also I love your blog! You're awesome.
aaaaa thank you sm hun! I really appreciate that :D I'm glad you enjoy my funky lil blog!
And now, I threw this idea at a fellow who is simply me with prompts but even more unhinged and they wrote a thing. I present to you, This:
------
Escaping containment implies that the content got leaked somehow.
Maybe after so long with dealing with ghosts on their own, especially with ghosts that can control and use tech the people of Amity Park decide to self isolate. Phantom and Red Huntress are considered the only main heroes allowed in Amity, one out of pride and two out of concern of a ghost possessing an foreign hero.
There was a fight and the tech isolation software glitched or a satellite picks up something on accident, letting a small leak occur. Nothing major, just a small joke.
A blurry photo of a white haired teenager with a fancam like edit around him and the words "It's Not Gay if he's Dead."
Which on its own wouldn't have taken off very much on the internet, but someone pointed out that the teenager was wearing what was very obviously a hero outfit. Leading to people wondering just who exactly this hero is or was.
So they dig, and it turns out the “one” leak wasn't the only one to happen.
The internet finds out there's not just one meme. There's hundreds of them. All originating from a single midwestern city and mostly focused around one person, the white haired teenager that is referred to as Phantom in most memes.
Theres edits of a female musician with bright blue hair with text saying “that moment when a dead girl is your bisexual awakening” and “Its not a crush on a villian if shes not alive.”
There's even photos of these slime-like creatures. With dozens of different memes referring to them. Varying from calling them green pigeons, to talking about tossing them like a sports ball.
Theres even a photo of Dash and most of the football team are wearing group shirts that all say “It's Not Gay if he's Dead” with Phantoms logo on it, half as a joke and half because some of them would definitely date Phantom if they could.
It's not even the Justice League that finds the jokes first, it's the younger generation of heroes.
(It's how Tim asks Kon for a date. He sends a meme with Danny getting flunged in the worlds most tumbling superhero pose with the below text "It's not gay if he's dead." Tim immediately sends another text "But it is gay if he's an alien, 10pm picnic date?")
The different memes get passed around, none of them taking them that seriously, until it gets to Batman. One of the memes is sent in the bat group chat by one of the Bat kids to ask Jason about getting group Batburger later. “If your hero’s dead its not gay, it’s just hero worship, even if you want to meet him behind the Nasty Burger.”
It's the hyper specific wording that gets Batman to look into it. He only finds the memes, nothing else. No town called Amity Park, no hero called Phantom, no trace outside of a reference to a defunct and wiped completely clean government branch and references to a nonexist law.
This leads him to contact the Justice League, including the JL Dark, for a meeting.
Surprisingly quite a few members recognize the teen outside of the memes. Flash, Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, and some of the JLD. The Flash refuses to say anything due to timeline continuum dangers. Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter mention someone like him appearing in ancient texts, but nothing beyond that. The JLD that know are physically and contractually unable to say much beyond Phantom being a hero and very important.
It’s Captain Marvel that genuinely knows anything about him. “That's Danny, he's pretty cool. He's even helped me out a few times!”
The rest of the JL are surprised, Marvel gets more questions and answers some of them. He doesn't share the knowledge that he's helped Billy at handling the whole secret child hero thing, and that he's welcome in Amity. Just enough information to make the League stop looking into Phantom, Ember, Cujo, all of Amity.
It works, mostly.
Batman has never been one to let sleeping dogs lie…

How tall is Tim Drake in canon?
AFAIK Tim Drake's adult height is somewhere between 5'9" (175.26 cm) and 5'11 (180.34 cm).
Comics canon
Exact heights aren't often stated in the comics; height is usually an irrelevant detail that isn't worth tracking through the fluctuating canon of comics.
One of the uncommon exceptions is Batman: Family #5 (2003), in which 15-year-old Tim is described as "five foot nine, one hundred and forty pounds. He's probably no more than sixteen."
Tumblr media
Though the narrator can't find Tim's exact age without knowing his secret identity, reasonably he could find this much information through observation.
In everyone's favorite comic Batman: Battle for the Cowl #2 (2008), Catwoman remarks that 17-year-old Batman Tim is shorter than Batman Jason Todd, but the height difference is apparently small enough that she didn't immediately notice it until she followed Tim.
Tumblr media
Note on databooks and supplementary material
Comics canon takes precedent over non-diegetic information. The DC databooks (like Who's Who?, Secret Files, official Encyclopedia, etc) are notorious for containing some unreliable details, including heights and weights. The weights reported for most superheroes are often more realistic for underweight supermodels than for conditioned athletes. Some supplementary material gives Jason Todd's height as 4'6" at 15 years old, which is probably pulled from the height and weight that he was reported to have in his first databook when he was approximately 12 years old, but comic canon The New Titans #55 put him at the much more reasonable and realistic height of 5'4" at 15 years old.
The databooks seem to indicate that Tim at 14-16 years old is taller than Jason Todd and Damian Wayne at around the same age.
The Batman Character Encyclopedia corroborates that Tim is taller and heavier than Damian in their first meetings. Tim is supposedly 17 years old, 5’6”, and 131 lbs. Damian Wayne is 10 years old, 4’6”, and 84 lbs. Though again, if we use comics canon, then Tim would be at least 5'9" and 140 lbs. So if you've really been wondering who is the smaller and baby-er child between the 17-year-old and the 10-year-old... well it's the 10-year-old...
The databooks that list Stephanie Brown at 5'5" also list Tim at 5'5" or 5'6", while Cassandra Cain is 5'4" or 5'5". Tim is consistently taller than his female peers, and his various love interests, excepting Bernard. This is in contrast to Dick Grayson (5'10"), who has been listed as shorter than Starfire (6'4"), Barbara Gordon (5'11"), and Huntress (5'11") at several points.
Comics art
Comics art is pretty inconsistent, and characters' heights can vary between artists, and even between panels on the same page. Tbh this section is just an excuse to show some hugs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Janet and Tim in Batman Chronicles #4 dream sequence and Batman (2016) #134

Bruce and Tim in Red Robin #17 (2010) // in Detective Comics #981 (2018)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Steph and Tim in Robin (1993) #58 and in Convergence: Batgirl #2 (2015)
Tumblr media
Cass and Tim in Detective Comics #967 (2017)
Conclusion
Tim Drake isn't very short or small. He's usually depicted at an average male height. There isn't much indication that he has been or will be shorter than Cass, Steph, Duke, or Damian. But as we know, canon is quite malleable, and maybe you can find evidence to the contrary.

dp x dc au in which the Justice League finds out about the Red Huntress and not Danny Phantom first. Like, let’s say some cultists are trying to summon the Ghost King if you like that. The League-or perhaps another superhero group like the Teen Titans or Young Justice or just one superhero like Shazam-and when the cultists are about to succeed, Val shows up guns blazing, screaming, “I will not let summon that rat bastard!” or something. And she quickly gets knocked off her hoverboard by one of them, but she and the other superhero(s) there manage to stop them.
The heroes are like, “Who are you? Why did you come here? What are your connections to the Ghost King? Are you a ghost?” Yadayada, stuff like that. Val, who I like to hc that she knows next to nothing about superheroes, is just like, “Oh, I’m the Red Huntress and I’m just a ghost hunter. The Ghost King ruined my life and I plan to ruin his afterlife. That’s all!” The heroes try to ask more questions, but then Val says, “Oh no! It’s almost my curfew! Gotta go, I’ll see you later!”
Then they find Val somehow and want to recruit her, just in case more people want to summon the Ghost King or for help with any other ghost related things. Val accepts as long as she gets paid enough money to not have to work as the Nasty Burger mascot.
And when they find out about Phantom, they all assume he and Val have this rivalry at first-if Val doesn’t say he’s supposed to be the ghost king. If she does, they then meet Phantom and he’s just like, “hello friends :D” and is just in awe over the superheroes, who are just super confused.
If the heroes try to look into Val and the people closest to her, Danny(just Danny not Phantom) will walk up to them and straight up threaten them. And scar them for life with his ‘uncanniness.’ “Red your boyfriend is an eldritch monster,” they say to Val, “Oh yeah, it’s just the ecto-contamination, he won’t actually do anything :D,” she reassures them.
None of the heroes can get a goodnight’s sleep for a week after first meeting Danny. They are all worried for Val’s wellbeing.

Hey Red! Huge fan of OSP and Aurora, my question for you is what animated superhero shows would you recommend?
little bee with an incongruously elephant-themed username, you are officially my best friend
Batman: Beyond
Tumblr media
Fifty years after Batman: The Animated Series (which I also recommend, natch), Bruce Wayne has long since retired from being Batman and become a grumpy recluse until hooligan with a heart of gold Terry McGinnis steals the cowl and the fancy suit it's attached to in order to avenge his murdered father and goes on to become the Batman Of The Future, mentored by Bruce. One of the only truly episodic superhero cartoons - almost no overarching plotlines, just character arcs and the occasional villain with their own thing going on. Has a recurring rogue's gallery but also a higher villain bodycount than most superhero shows; villains of the week are not guaranteed to survive their episode, even (and especially) villains from the original Batman run. Exceptionally horrifying plotlines include "man presumed killed in industrial waste accident actually buried alive in horrifying immobilized undead purgatory and animates living humanoid masses of dirt for revenge", "all the cool kids are splicing their DNA and shockingly the dude in charge is evil about it" and "somehow the joker has returned." Also has a surprisingly good follow-up tie-in comic series (and a few less-good ones).
Justice League and Justice League: Unlimited
Tumblr media
The first couple seasons (aka just Justice League) are almost entirely two-parters, mostly character-driven, focused in on the main seven founding Justice League members. The finale reshuffles the status quo somewhat, and then Justice League: Unlimited vastly expands the cast and incorporates basically every other DC hero ever written, but somehow doesn't completely fall apart like other shows that tried to follow suit. Most episodes of JLU are self-contained singletons that focus on small subsets of the expanded League - like "Double Date," which focuses on Huntress, The Question, Green Arrow and Black Canary and is well regarded as one of the best episodes. Features seasonal overarching plotlines as well as self-contained episodes that work in isolation. The JLU episodes that focus on the original seven Leaguers are always fun, but it's also nice to see other heroes get spotlighted.
Green Lantern: The Animated Series
Tumblr media
Do you like lancers? Do you like sad bad boys? Do you like starcrossed love stories? Do you like self-loathing jerks with hearts of gold? Do you like it when Green Lantern is also there? Have I got a show for you! I firmly believe this show only exists to justify someone's OC fanfic romance between the world's angstiest bad boy and a sentient spaceship, and there are only Green Lanterns in it because there have to be. And it's worth it. Also features some deep pulls from the Green Lantern canon like Larfleeze, Mogo the living planet and Saint Walker the first Blue Lantern. Only two seasons and the art style takes some getting used to, but man it's got some high points. Extremely overarching-plot-driven with the occasional more episodic adventure.
Teen Titans
Tumblr media
One of those shows that oscillates wildly between "so lighthearted it's a little tooth-aching to watch" and "so crushingly dark it's unbelievable that this is the same show as those other episodes," just how I like it. Extremely episodic which makes it easy to skip around, which is good, because a lot of these episodes are kinda dumb. Adapts some of the most iconic plotlines of The New Teen Titans, but it's a very different adaptation of all characters involved to the point where it's hard to think of them as the same characters at all. This is not a bad thing, it's just a thing. A superhero show where it feels like everyone is legitimately friends with everyone else, with shipping relegated to the background in favor of platonic dynamics. Main villain isn't allowed to be called his supervillain name because it has "death" in it and that's a no-no, so he goes by his actual legal name instead. For some reason a big deal is made over his identity and face being hidden despite his identity in the comics being Just A Buff Old Guy and his villain name being his legal name he pays taxes under.
Static Shock
Tumblr media
Took me a criminally long time to watch this one, and I've only gotten through the first couple seasons, but it's really good. A solo hero rather than a team, Virgil's fun to watch because his powerset is limited but he's really smart with it. Turns out giving a brilliant nerd electromagnetic powers means he figures out a lot of ways to use them beyond "zapping things" or "magnetizing stuff" and it's fun to watch him figure out solutions to problems he can't just blast his way through. Also while the show had to limit some storylines to just coding and subtext (Virgil's best friend Richie is gay, but the kind of gay that's not allowed to be explicitly stated anywhere except creator interviews) the show is incredibly overt in discussions of systemic racism, police brutality, gang violence, sky-high familial expectations and how Virgil struggles to deal with all those things. Has a very brightly-colored and cartoony palette compared to other DCAU shows, making it incredibly jarring when someone hands Virgil a straight-up real gun in the first episode, which he promptly throws in the bay because he's a Certified Good Boy.
Legion of Super Heroes
Tumblr media
Criminally underrated and only two seasons long! Clark Kent, long before he becomes Superman, gets recruited by a superhero team from the 31st century to travel into the future and help them out with a supervillain problem. He sticks around for a while learning to be a better superhero and live up to the legend he'll someday inspire, including acquiring his suit from a museum dedicated to himself. Lots of fun dramatic irony as an audience is expected to know stuff about Superman that even Clark doesn't know yet, like what Kryptonite is and why his powers don't work on planets with red suns. First season is very episodic. Everyone gets timeskipped in Season 2 and when Superman comes back he's actually been Superman for a while and is a lot better at it now. Standout character through both seasons is Brainiac 5, who is typically written romantically interested in Supergirl and in this show appears to have the exact same level of affection for Superman, which implies that his type is "kryptonians who can bridal carry me" and probably confuses the hell out of the remnants of Original Brainiac buried in his sourcecode. His "true form" is a ten-foot killer robot, which means he chooses to look like a twinky blond. In season 2 he uses a holodeck to play out dramatically dying in Superman's arms, which is around the point where "subtext" becomes "text." Superman and an edgy lancer clone of Superman spend the season 2 finale helping him out in a Battle In The Center Of The Mind versus Original Evil Brainiac, a process I am convinced only takes as long as it does because Brainiac 5 has two Supermen fighting for him and he's not gonna let that opportunity slip away. Take a drink every time he uses the phrase "twelfth level intellect" and finish the glass whenever he and Superman play out a scene that would be less romantic if they kissed.
Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Tumblr media
On to Marvel finally! Rock solid through all of season 1, the writing gets a little shaky through season 2 - some episodes are spectacular, some are just okay, and a couple verge on full-on idiot plots. Still well worth a watch, if for no other reason than the broadly incredible character writing. This show writes Captain America so well that when he's replaced with a Skrull in season 2 the audience can tell that something is missing; Skrull-Cap acts the way Captain America acts when written by somebody who thinks he's boring, while real Cap acts like a real person who happens to be an absolute paragon of heroism. This show also writes Thor really well and respects his status as the powerhouse, and broadly all the characters are well handled and make good, smart decisions for the information they have available. This is what I consider to be the definitive version of The Avengers, and its existence is why I'm not mad at the MCU when it does my faves dirty - I know I'll always have EMH season 1!
X-Men: Evolution
Tumblr media
So, SO early 2000s! Most of the younger X-Men are de-aged so they can double up superheroics with high school drama, which means this version of Wolverine is a full-on dad and it's great. This show also invented X-23. Also if you watched basically any anime in the 90s there are a lot of familiar voices, which makes certain scenes very jarring - Light Yagami as Nightcrawler is one of the funniest bits of dissonance. Also for new God of War fans, Magneto might sound very familiar. Quality is hit-or-miss in places - the season 1 finale is kind of laughably terrible and the show mostly pretends it didn't happen - but it has some extreme high points, mostly the Wolverine-centric episodes. Almost every conflict could be resolved immediately by Nightcrawler's powers, so unfortunately he gets knocked out at the start of nearly every fight, which circles around to being very funny after a while.
Spectacular Spider-Man
Tumblr media
The best Spider-Man cartoon, I think! Very much a solo story - just Spider-Man alone vs his massive rogue's gallery, no other superheroes. Extremely quality banter and arcs - several villains have their origins during the series, many appearing in important roles before becoming proper supervillains. Very much an overarching-plot story, and unfortunately canceled before some of those arcs could be resolved, so it ends on a bit of a bummer, which is fairly standard stuff for Spider-Man, tbh. This is a good version of Peter, which is good, because we spend a lot of the show in his head; we get a nearly-constant inner monologue from him so we always know what he's thinking, so he'd better be likable.

I know it's a classic trope of danny phantom x dc crossovers that the Justice League or the Batfam finds out about Amity Park and immediately starts an investigation, but honestly, that doesn't really make sense in world.
Like, there are ghosts in Illinois. Whoopdeedoo. There are aliens in Metropolis, assassins in Star City, metas in Central, and every type of crazy imaginable and a few that no one would ever think of in Gotham. The DC world is a very weird place.
More than that, I think it kind of misunderstands what the Justice League originally was. A lot of the time fanon and canon both treat it like some kind of centralized superhero organization with the main group as the bosses. This isn't really how it started in the comics though, from what I understand. At first, the Justice League was a bunch of independent supers with their own independent territories who occasionally talked to each other. They would get together if say, there were aliens in Star City and Green Arrow needed advice on how to take care of them, or if there was a worldwide threat they needed to work together to address, but for the most part each hero had their own jurisdiction and they were not fond of people intruding in that territory. Local problems were dealt with by local heros, and if there wasn't a local hero? Just wait a couple of weeks, the police can handle it until someone pops up.
My point is that the League is really unlikely to try to swoop in and completely figure out Amity Park's situation, or even to really care about it once they realize that they already have both Phantom and Red Huntress. At most they might invite them to a few get togethers for networking.
I bet Batman wouldn't even care that much. I know he's the king of paranoia and contingencies, but he focuses almost all of that on people he knows are threats. He doesn't have time to care about a couple small town heros with small town problems, the Joker just got out of Arkham and he's going to kill hundreds of they don't catch him fast. (This isn't to say I think B would look down on small timers, but he would probably see them as little leagues, because he has no reason to suspect that it's that important. People with the power of the Justice League aren't just crawling out of the wood work, and it makes far more sense for him to assume that the problems in Amity Park aren't particularly powerful. Like how non Gothamites never believe that normal human rogues could actually be that dangerous.)
Crazy stuff is everywhere in the DC world, and unless you make it their problem, most supers assume that it's taken care of.
That said, it would totally be awesome if the Justice League was throwing a get together for lesser known less powerful heroes and just didn't realize what they had invited until it smacks them in the face.

JL with Red huntress and Shade prompt
(First time posting something, i think this count as a prompt, if someone wants to write about this, please do)
Imagine Valery before meeting Danni, so she still hates Phantom, but recently a ghost escaped Amity (Phantom was struggling to manage his live at that point, and after another fight with her and his parents, and the GIW... F, he decides to quit "and go back to the ghost zone" in reality he is coming back to live as just Danny), so she pursues the ghost to some superheroe's city, and the ghost causes chaos, you know, and the hero of that place can't touch the ghost.
And then Red Huntress appears and save the day (don't know if she eliminated the ghost, or the ghost escaped).
After that the JL tries to recruit her due to being able to fight "this new threat" and get some counseling regarding ghosts (JLD was overworked with other things, so they didn't know about all this).
She has to bear with her multiple jobs and deal with ghosts alone now that Phantom retired, so she declines the offer, but if the problem is with ghosts she will deal with that.
Time passes and Batman is irked that he doesn't know her identity yet due to the voice modulator in the whole body technological suit, and recently there has been reports that Amanda Waller is investigating multiple destroyed buildings from an organization she is secretly in charge.
The only hint they had regarding this situation, is that they were research oriented, and the culprit has blue eyes, wore a black ninja suit with silver details and has an incredible ability to disappear.
Danny was annoyed at Valery and the JL, and knowing that more ghosts were getting captured by the government, decided to become a hero, but not like Phantom, in order to keep suspicions and problems from the ghosts to the minimun, he decided to go by Shade, an incredible agile human with a misteryous past and that, for some reason he sides with ghosts, but sometimes during alien invasions or robot attacks, he also helps with something like a magic glowing sword, so the JL doesn't know what to think of him.
Some day, the JL decides to recruit him, (or just talk), and Red Huntress gets in a debate with Shade while the others are observing on the sidelines and rethinking a little what they know about ghosts.
After that fallout, the JL starts to make a more throught investigation and suddenly Shazam is the first to come back from whatever task was ocuping the JLD and he is like: remember that i mention that i was chosen by a wizard to be the champion of magic?
Some people: Aha... yes...
Others: wtf?
Shazam: well, he died after chosing me, but his ghost is still teaching me... so... he seems pretty sentient, and he is helping me in order to protect people...
Red Huntress: So, what?!? He could be trying to manipulate you in to thinking that until he deems right to reveal his true colors, it wouldn't be the first time a ghost has wanted to make people believe that it is a protector while causing damage to those around!.
Shade: *inhale... exhale* He was trying his best to protect the town even if everyone blame him for things that weren't under his control!
And most of the colateral damage that people fault him for, was due to other ghosts or ghost hunters attacking him, all he wanted was to keep everyone safe!!!
Even if that lead him to being shooted and criticized by almost everyone until the day he snapped and decided to retire!!
Flash to someone else (probably green lantern): Who are they talking about?
Green lantern: no idea.
And from there i don't know what to write, so i leave it to the imagination of whoever wants to continue or change parts of this.
Sorry for any grammatical errors i didn't catch, this is my second language 💗
Also, maybe the story could be like different povs and all that 💗
I didn't know what to put as a title, so that's the only thing that came to my mind at the moment XD

Alright I think I’ve seen a couple smaller versions of this in bits and pieces so if you have them please share, but I figured that as someone familiar with neither show initially I’m in a good position to do a DPxDC onboarding post!
Since neither source material is particularly helpful in understanding the madness we have created, here is what I consider important to know for each (please add in with anything I miss!)
Danny Phantom (DP)
Main Characters
Danny Fenton - is a Phantom. Died as a teenager by accidentally activating his parents’ portal to the Ghost Zone/Infinite Realms but was also revived, becoming a half ghost half human (halfa)
Is the only superhero in Amity Park, fighting ghosts and sometimes ghost hunters to keep humans safe from ghosts and ghosts safe from humans
Has beaten the Ghost King in single combat, and is therefore sometimes considered to be the new Ghost King
Jazz (Jasmine) Fenton - Danny’s older sister, basically his parent, very into psychology and very against the influence their actual parents have had on Danny due to their obsession with ghosts
May/may not know about Phantom, usually considered the Mom Friend of Team Phantom whether she knows or not
Jack Fenton - Danny’s dad, 6’9 koolaid man, loves ham and fudge and breaking through walls instead of the door beside him. A very bad shot but extremely enthusiastic in that 90s dad cartoon way
Prone to believe absolutely anybody but Danny is a ghost, especially when Danny does ghost things in proximity
Extremely intent on the destruction of all ghosts, convinced they do not have actual feelings and should be destroyed pre Phantom reveal. Afterwards, can be either accepting or homicidal towards Danny
Maddie Fenton - Danny’s mom, ridiculous kung fu warrior and engineer, madly in love with Jack and they are sickeningly cute all times except Christmas
Sometimes notices they have kids that need caring for, sometimes curbs Jack’s wilder impulses, she’s the brains of the team
Same ghost views as Jack, but she’s more perceptive and intelligent, which can be used for good or evil
Tucker Foley - Danny’s best friend, likes meat and technology and arguing with Sam
A Black young man with a signature red beret and PDA in the OG show, usually acknowledged to be on par with the bats’ technical skills as he’s an incredible hacker
Danny’s Guy In The Chair, but he will get out of his chair and throw down as needed
Sam Manson - Danny’s Obligatory 90s Cartoon Love Interest, goth and ultra-recyclo-vegetarian child of millionaires who will not be stopped in her crusade for justice
She’s the one who dared Danny to go into the portal that killed him, the guilt she carries for this varies
She is in combat as much as her humanity allows, but also in a support role most of the time
Dash Baxter - Danny’s Obligatory 90s Cartoon Bully, the usual blond beefy jock. Can be surprisingly sensitive and intelligent, probably from being tutored by Jazz
[ETA] Valerie Gray - former antihero with a grudge against ghosts (her dad lost his job because of Cujo), she was given an anti ghost suit by Vlad and worked for him to fight ghosts until learning he is a half ghost
Canon never names her alter ego but we call her Red Huntress, she’s hot headed and impulsive and absolutely dated Danny while trying to murder Phantom - Danny knew the whole time but she did not
She is also Black
Wes Weston - Does Not Exist In Canon. We made him up because Danny had a bracelet that was supposed to say Sam but was shown backwards all episodes so it just says Wes
Knows that Danny is Phantom, INTENT on telling absolutely everyone, and is never believed
Vlad Masters/Plasmius - the only older halfa in the show, and one of Danny’s main villains. A billionaire who went to college with the Fenton parents and was slowly killed after exposure to the first trial portal
Blames Jack for his exposure and is obsessed with stealing Maddie from him and marrying her himself as he believes should have always happened
Her opinion does not factor into this, and she largely treats him with disdain but tempered for her husband, who adores Vlad unequivocally
Dani/Ellie Masters - a girl clone of Danny made by Vlad, the only clone who survived melting into goo. Vlad raised her to try and kill Danny so he could perfect a different boy clone, and kept her isolated
Now that she’s met Danny and been stabilised by him, they are siblings/cousins/besties but she can’t stay in one place, because she wants to experience the whole world
Frostbite - King of the Far Frozen, which is part of the Ghost Zone full of ice. He’s a yeti, and has the zone’s only functional medical facility
Reveres Danny as the Great One, Saviour of the Ghost Zone, and taught him how to use his ice powers
Clockwork - Master of Time, tends to show up in a purple hooded robe with a clock around his neck and rapidly cycle through ages and speak in riddles
Sometimes communicates by leaving green stick notes on things, but never with a direct answer. Considered Danny’s mentor and sends Danny on adventures through time to preserve the time stream
Notably involved in the whole Dan Phantom fiasco
Dan Phantom - an older version of Danny from the future where Danny’s ghost half was removed from his human half, stole Vlad’s ghost half, and destroyed the world because Danny’s whole family and friends were killed in front of him
They were all together to be killed as part of an intervention when Danny was caught cheating on a test. This gives Danny understandable issues about how easily he could go bad and destroy the world
Skulker - an early recurring baddie who is a Kraven the Hunter knockoff, considers himself the Ghost Zone’s best hunter and wants Danny’s pelt for his wall
Actually a tiny little guy inside the helmet of a big mechanised suit, rarely a serious threat
Ember - a young ghost musician who can hypnotise people with her music, craves an audience and another early recurring villain
Dates Skulker I guess
Johnny 13 and Shadow - ghost biker boy and his sentient shadow familiar, dated Danny at some point, but in a permanent ongoing relationship with Kitty
They usually only cause trouble when they fight, break up, wreak havoc, and then eventually get back together
Kitty - once Overshadowed Paulina the generic Pretty Girl to date Danny to get back at Johnny for their break up
She wanted to be a lawyer before she and Johnny were killed in a wreck, sometimes implied to have been caused on purpose by her father
She and Johnny are often Danny’s allies, against other ghosts if necessary
[ETA] Cujo - ghost puppy, very playful and usually about beagle size, but he can grow or shrink at will into a terrifying house sized attack dog. He can make portals so no, you are never safe from Cujo
[ETA] Wulf - werewolf ghost and friend of Danny’s who can also create his own natural portals. He wears pants
Important Terms
Core - a small glowing orb that houses all a ghost’s memories, thoughts, emotions, and vital organs. Can correspond to an element, granting elemental powers after some intense ghost puberty
Requires ectoplasm to form and be maintained but does not exist in canon
Obsession - ghosts are powered by their emotions at death and an Obsession, usually what makes them become a ghost instead of passing on in the first place - does not exist in canon
Danny’s Obsession is usually Protection, Space, or both
Vlad’s Obsession is Maddie, and acquiring Danny as a son once he learns Danny is a halfa too
Dani’s Obsession is Travel
Halfa - half a ghost, half a human, with the ability to transform between human and ghost forms (usually characterised as a colour inversion of hair and clothes)
Powers are basically Everything That Would Be Funny, because it’s a Saturday morning cartoon
Vlad’s specifically include electrocution, duplicating up to thousands of himself, invisibility, intangibility, hand lasers, super strength, healing, and mind control
Danny’s include ice, strength, bendy noodle body, put self in video game, hand lasers, heat vision, ghostly wail (big ol sonic scream, bad for the throat), duplication, teleportation, and literally anything else that was fun for the episode in question
All ghosts seem to get invisibility, intangibility, flight, telekinesis, and ectobeams (lasers from various body parts)
Overshadowing - similar to possession, when a ghost takes over someone else’s body, gaining access to core memories if they look
Sometimes different from possession specifically and considered less invasive, but still invasive. Danny does not like doing this
[ETA] Anti Ecto Acts - a series of laws signed into existence to declare all ectoplasmic entities as nonsentient creatures, able to be experimented on or destroyed at will
Referenced literally once in canon in a single line that basically says “you are under arrest for being a ghost” - after Danny is outed as a halfa, we have obviously extrapolated it into the worst thing possible
Canon calls them Anti-Ecto Control Acts
[ETA] GIW - Guys in White or the Ghost Investigation Ward, they’re literally a colour reversed Men in Black joke to have a government agency that focuses on ghosts
They don’t care about collateral damage and will blow anyone up on their way ghost hunting
DC (Disregard Canon apparently)
Main Characters
Listen I’m not doing all of them so HOEDOWN STYLE I GUESS
Alfred Pennyworth - best Batman character, super butler, makes the best cookies
Bruce Wayne - Batman, may/may not be good batdad
Dick Grayson - Robin 1, responsible for pantsless Robin and excessive flips, grows up to be Nightwing
Jason Todd - fandom woobie, Robin 2, tried to steal the tires off the Batmobile and hit Bruce with a tire iron, killed by Joker, came back evil and thicc as Red Hood and nearly killed Robin 3
Has the Bad Juice in him cuz of being brought back from the dead so he has Pit Rage, which most people apparently only get for a little bit and then either die or go permanently insane
Tim Drake - Robin 3, abandoned rich kid who blackmailed Bruce into letting him be Robin after Jason died, because Jason was his hero and Tim thinks Batman needs a Robin to stay sane. He’s right, but was Robin-fired basically as soon as Damian showed up, is Red Robin now
Never sleeps, overcaffeinated at all times, a better detective than Bruce and a supervillain in basically every AU
Used to be bi but is legally gay now apparently
Stephanie Brown - girl Robin, far superior as Spoiler and Bat Girl, sassy bitch who tells Bruce to fuck off the most of all the Robins ever and this is an Achievement she must fight for constantly but always wins
Cassandra Cain - assassin baby of Lady Shiva, not taught to talk by her dad cuz he sucks, semi- or nonverbal and deadass supernaturally good at reading people
Decided that killing was bad actually the first time she did it so fuck assassins she’s Black Bat/Batgirl/Orphan now and she does not have mouth holes in her mask (possibly because she is not white, depending on why you think Batman always has his)
Damian Wayne - Consequences from Bruce’s playboy slut days, he knocked up supervillain Talia Al Ghul and thus this bab was raised by assassins and thinks stabbing siblings is an acceptable greeting
Likes the animals and is secretly soft but will fucking kill you before he admits it
Duke Thomas - Criminally Underused, older than Damian but babiest bat as the Signal, Gotham’s only daytime hero and only meta hero. Second Black hero cuz Lucius Fox exists and so does his son
Never a Bruce-appointed Robin but was trained by 4 previous Robins (no idea where Steph was for this) simultaneously, swears as much as Jason but has living parents sometimes so that’s wild
Kate Kane - Batwoman, definitely fucks
Luke Fox - I think he is Lucius’ son, Lucius made all the bat tech but Luke is going to punch bad guys directly, has a hero name probably that might be fox related
Diana Prince - Wonder Woman, an Amazonian warrior who fucks with Cronos I guess
Donna Troy - I have never fucking seen her in dpxdc but she is Wonder Girl I think and she also fucks
Clark Kent - Superman but also a nerd, treats his clone badly and will never be forgiven
Connor Kent/Kon El - said clone, made by Lex Luthor from Superman’s and Luthor’s DNA because what says hate like making a baby! Mistreating that baby and reminding him he’s meant to be a weapon
Deserves all the love and sometimes his powers don’t work because cloning is hard
Jon Kent - Superman’s son with Lois Lane, got all his dad’s powers but apparently not his mom’s cuz he is still a himbo
Lois Lane - the world’s scariest reporter who will make all corrupt officials quail because you can’t fucking threaten her, she will tell you to go fuck yourself and if you try and shoot her Superman catches the bullet
Barry Allen - the Flash, does not believe in ghosts even though he can run so fast he travels in time so he’s clearly the arbiter of what makes sense
But I guess you can’t catch him to tell him he’s wrong so
Hal Jordan - Green Lantern, Space Ho
Lex Luthor - surprising dad energy for a bald supervillain who hates aliens (blame halfagone)
John Constantine - super thot and mage, will sell his soul to anyone who offers to gain immortality because no one can decide who gets to keep his soul so they just spite reviving him
Has the actual worst luck and finds out just slightly more than he fucks around but he hasn’t died yet so it’s working
Zatanna - magic lady who does spells by saying words backwards, the competent adult
Boston - Deadman, an Actual Fucking Ghost Member Of The Justice League, What The Fuck Flash This Is Workplace Harassment
Cannot be seen or heard without magical assistance, so way less of a problem than Danny Phantom ghosts

Be Still My Beating Spark
TFE Megatron x Cybertronian Fem OC
Warnings: None
Word Count: 1600+
Hunger… The overwhelming sensation that drove her through the forest. It felt like she had been hungry for a long, long time now. She had been on the trail of an energon scent for some time now, having traversed many miles of terrain in pursuit. Her senses were powerful, and she salivated at the thought of finally reaching her quarry. Long claws moved gracefully across the dirt before she came to a stop, bending down to smell a drop of vibrant magenta liquid. So close…
There was a sudden loud metal creak from up ahead, and our mysterious beast stalked closer to find an old hangar bay, and a Cybertronian mech prying open the large rusted metal doors. The mech was clutching his left shoulder, which was leaking energon, most likely from a fresh wound. The drive to satiate her hunger drove her into a frenzy, emitting a ferocious roar before charging out from the brush, briefly locking optics with her surprised prey.
*Meanwhile…..*
It had been a relatively uneventful day for Megatron, and the mech was resting in his alt-mode in one of G.H.O.S.T’s air fields. It was a quiet day, until the ever-familiar alarm went off, only meaning that he was being called into action. He sighed, Another Decepticon for the humans to lock away… Megatron was disliking this human alliance with each passing day. Begrudgingly, he responded to the alert and soon received coordinates, before activating his engine and taking flight. As Megatron approached the coordinates, from above he could see an old aircraft hangar bay in the middle of a rural field. He recognized the bright firetruck red and cobalt blue paint job and internally rolled his optics, Of course he got here first. Optimus Prime, G.H.O.S.T’s lap dog.
As Megatron began his descent, he transformed mid-air and landed with one knee and fist meeting the ground first. It was a superhero-pose landing for sure. Along with Optimus, they were joined by Elita-One and various G.H.O.S.T agents. “So where is this dangerous Decepticon we are to neutralize? Or did you ask me here for a social visit?” Megatron said, clearly not wanting to be here. “Well, oddly that’s not the issue, Megatron.” Optimus stepped forward and gestured towards an unconscious Decepticon laying prone on his back right outside of the hangar bay doors, “It appears that Cutthroat was ambushed. He’s alive, but he had a significant amount of energon drained from him.” Megatron knelt down, getting closer to the unconscious Decepticon before him, “Mandroid’s work?” Optimus shrugged, “At first, that’s what we surmised, but this attack doesn’t share Mandroid’s usual signature.” Upon closer inspection, Megatron could see clear puncture marks on Cutthroat’s… well… throat.
Megatron froze as a wave of memories came flooding back to him, How? After all this time? Optimus studied the expression hanging on Megatron’s face, “What is it, Megatron? Do you have any idea who or what might have done this?” Megatron cleared his throat, “...Perhaps.” Suddenly there was a loud rustle in the thick underbrush in the forest to the right. Two armed G.H.O.S.T agents activated their weapons and went to investigate. The sound of screaming soon followed, along with the sight of those two G.H.O.S.T agents being launched out of the woods, hitting the ground with a resounding thud. Fearsome growls and roars were heard from the thicket, and a pair of glowing red optics peered from the shadows. Of course the first action G.H.O.S.T took was to start firing their weapons  in that direction. The roars became angrier and a slender tail with a bladed spade at the end whipped around furiously, before the mystery bot darted from its cover and bolted deeper into the forest.
Megatron saw a flash of distinctive yet familiar blue armor and freezes. It couldn’t be…
His thoughts rushed through his processor, wondering if it could really be… her. Turning towards Optimus, Megatron bellows “Stay behind and secure Cutthroat! I will deal with the second one!” And with that, Megatron sprints into the thick forest ahead. His optics dart around at every tree and shadow, determined to locate this mystery bot. Before his next step could reach the ground, the wind is knocked out of him as he is tackled by a massive blue bestial Cybertronian. Megatron’s frame falls onto the ground, however he is unable to get his bearings as he is forcefully pressed down upon by his attacker. As he looks up, he sees a large lion-like predacon with vivid azure armor, and a helm akin to a wolf. The beast’s scarlet optics stare down at him, and a golden tail flicks aggressively. Pinned down, Megatron locks optics with his assailant and freezes, recognizing this bot, “…Huntress?”
The hybrid bot before him stopped in its tracks, before transforming into a Cybertronian femme with pointed ears, scarlet optics, and a vibrant blue side part on her helm, “…Megatron? …What are you doing here?” It felt as if time had gone still for Megatron, his optics open wide as they lock onto the azure femme before him. The last time he had seen her was just before the end of the war. The Autobots needed someone to take-on an important mission and Huntress had volunteered. Megatron was strongly opposed as he deemed the mission too risky and dangerous.
But she made her point, and Megatron respected her decision and off she went. That would be the last time he would see her, until now. “I looked for you when you didn’t return. I tried everything I could to contact you but… you never replied. I wanted to search every piece of this planet but Optimus… he feared that would risk revealing our kind to the world and that protecting our cover was imperative. …I wish I hadn’t had listened.” The prior gladiator could still hardly believe this wasn’t a dream, “…Where have you been all this time?”
That was an interesting question, and Huntress wished the answer was simple. Well it was simple, but not to explain. She stepped backwards, allowing Megatron room to get up, her face full of shame. “…I.. I’m sorry. How.. how long has it been?” Megatron stared at his conjunx, his sparkmate, realizing she must’ve been through a harrowing ordeal, “…It’s been many years, Huntress. The war is over and we have new human allies. …For better or for worse.” She turned to look at the ground before placing a servo on her chest, her spark sinking at Megatron’s words, “….that long?” Her mind swirled and she panicked No… how could I have allowed this to happen again?
Huntress had been forged with a specific quirk, one which she was able to run on both energon, as all Cybertronians did, but with a twist. Additionally, she could also gain sustenance from the energon running through the veins of Cybertronians themselves. If her energon levels were to become too low and close to critical, her survival instincts would override her programming and she would become locked in her beast mode, starving for fresh energon.
“M-Megatron… I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to disappear or leave you and the others. The last thing I remember clearly before today was being on the mission. I remember feeling weak… starving, then everything went black. Like I was there but not? My next memory was from today… the smell of Cybertronian energon and the taste of it running down my throat. I remember hearing shouting and then I was shot at and then you…” She shuts her optics and sucks in a deep intake and she begins to shake slightly, struggling to keep her emotions in check. “I…I’m ashamed. I should’ve prepared better. I should’ve listened to you—“ The femme stopped as she felt a gentle touch on her chin, feeling her faceplate being lifted upwards.
She opened her optics to see Megatron’s soft gaze staring back at her, his digits on her chin as he had lifted it to meet his gaze. “How I have missed gazing into your beautiful optics…” his voice was soft, but pained with deep yearning. Huntress struggled not to break down as she stared into his optics. How could he forgive her so easily? After so many years of being apart, Megatron still looked at her as if nothing had changed. She messed up astronomically. She had forgotten her mission, her comrades, her friends, …and worst of all, Megatron. Her emotions overpowered her, and tears rolled down her cheeks, “...Megatron, you can’t mean to tell me that you aren’t angry with me at all? After all this time you’ve been searching for me, and still you look at me the same as if nothing happened?”
Huntress was taken aback as she felt the sudden embrace of Megatron’s arms, and the sensation of his warm lips upon hers as he pulled her close. It felt as if time stood still as she took in his warmth, feeling his pure adoration and love through their bond. After what felt to be an eternity, Megatron slowly pulled his lips from hers, staring down at her with an intense longing, “There is no distance that could separate us. No amount of time that could make me forget your love. Nothing in this universe could ever make me stop cherishing every nanosecond I am able to be yours.”
And with that, he pulled her closer to his chest and kissed her with the warmth of a thousand suns…
*END*
I hope everyone enjoyed this!

I heard some rumors about him (because heroes are good at gossiping)
Summary: Valerie Gray is in her twenties, goes to university, is an established superhero known as Red Huntress and has a boyfriend but, apparently, no one really noticed it until she mentioned it.
The first time someone heard of him in the hero-world was on the edge of a roof, during a casual conversation among two vigilantes of different cities.
“You have a boyfriend?”
“Wow, you don’t have to be that impressed, Spoiler”
Or: 5 times someone hearded of Red Huntress' boyfriend and 1 time they get to met him
Relationships: Danny Fenton/Valerie Gray, Stephanie Brown & Valerie Gray, Zatanna Zatara & Valerie Gray, Kara Danvers & Valerie Gray, Bruce Wayne & Valerie Gray
Characters: Valerie Gray, Danny Fenton, Stephanie Brown, Zatanna Zatara, Kara Danvers, Tim Drake, Bruce Wayne, a lot more.

First of all! I'm not a native speaker of english but I did my best, and so di my beta! I really appreciate them for beta-ing for me <3
Second, I edited some things just now (sorry beta!) and my knowledge of comic's characters are more from the fandom than the comics, but I tried to look for the most accepted ways!
Tell me if there's any mistakes! Edit: My laptop/PC almost explode when I tried to post this before xddd
The first time someone heard of him in the hero-world was on the edge of a roof, during a casual conversation among two vigilantes of different cities.
“It’s… kinda quieter than I expected,” said the distorted voice of a woman.
“There’re less screams than what you expected?” Asked the one by her side in a joking tone.
“Not… Not exactly,” she mumbled “I expected more movement and… yeah, more noise.” she admitted in a low volume, a little ashamed of her first assumptions.
“Don’t worry.” She said after a little giggle “Tonight is particularly calm for Gotham”
And she was right. it was an unusually quiet night in Gotham; well, as much as it can be in the cradle of crime without becoming suspicious.
“Is it?”
“Yeah, it’s a slow night Red, even though the crime won’t stop I can allow myself a little break.” She said calmly, moving her legs in the air. There were more bats tonight than the normal, a little break won't hurt… Probably.
The black helmet turned towards her, almost like doing a second take, creating a silence between them.
“Huh.”
“What?” She asked after a few seconds.
“You just sounded a little like my boyfriend.” The other answered after a little pause.
“What?”
“It just took me by surprise, it’s not that weird.”
“You have a boyfriend?”
“Wow, you don’t have to be that impressed, Spoiler” Red replied, clearly annoyed by her tone of disbelief.
“It’s not… It’s not that I’m impressed by you having a boyfriend-”
“Wow”
“-It just took me out off guard.” She said nervously and, without a pause, she took a breath to recover herself and talk again “Sooooo, tell me, what kind of man was capable of winning your heart?”
The Red Huntress laughed a little bit to calm herself and keep talking. She knew Spoiler wouldn’t do that on purpose but her temper was always strong, and more if someone is messing with her loved ones.
She took a breath and started to speak “Well, at first sight you wouldn’t know, because he's kind of lanky but he’s totally a fighter, even if he doesn't know how to pick his fights, or just doesn't choose them at all-."
The sound of a gunshot interrupted her talk and their break in general but, hey, they expected too much for a quiet night in Gotham.
The second time someone heard about him was later that week, not because Steph talked, not even because her comms were online and she didn't notice. Is just that they asked for some help and Danny is way better in that area.
That didn't stop the big bat from getting on her nerves.
To be fair, Batman didn't like her improvised girls night with Spoiler, but there was nothing she could do. The ghosts didn't appear near enough of Amity and she chased them to Gotham city, and after she finally caught them Spoiler asked for a girls night and she was free, so she accepted - even with the knowledge that Bats had something against her and the people who break into his city without permission, because it is his territory.
Nevertheless, he asked for her to come to the cave after patrolling with Spoiler, and Val, like a sweet, poor and innocent child, didn't think about it too much. Batman may have wanted to talk about the incident, it was near enough to become their problem and it wouldn't hurt to talk about it, after all, the natural portals had been becoming more common and they surely want to be prepared for ghosts.
Spoiler alert: it did.
Before anything, Val wasn't wrong at all, the bats were working with some new technology because of the last ghost incident out of amity, not this one, the one before this, and something wasn't working at all with the new ecto-weapons, and they wanted her opinion about this because Red Huntress' suit is made of this technology.
But she can't stand Batman.
Don't take her wrong, she always admired him, since her earliest childhood and she still does. The day when they offered her a place in the justice league was a dream, meeting all of them, Superman, Batman and The Wonder Woman, it was everything she ever wanted as a kid.
That day still feels like a vivid dream for her.
But once she met him in person he was all growls and grunts and cold looks, especially with her. But she got used to it, now he was just a little annoying. However, the look he gave to her was worse today, was more intense and started in the second she arrived, it's getting under her skin.
"Let me see the problem." She said without losing a single second of time, she might like Spoiler, and Red Hood in a minor level, but it is not enough to make want to stay in the cave longer than necessary.
Batman didn't make a single sound while he guides her to the station where they were working to modify some of their gadgets to make them effective against ghosts.
After some time analyzing and looking for an error she couldn't find what's wrong with the process they're making, it seemed right for her in every step, but something is wrong with it and she can't understand what and she's not going to stay any more time under the big bat sight.
She sighed, it's time to bring a specialist on this.
"I don't know what's wrong," She admitted looking at all of them at once, without having a visible reaction from them. "I'm gonna to call an expert, this is not my field anyways"
"It isn't?" Nightwing asked with clear confusion in his voice.
"Nope, it's more my boyfriend's area." Now, that had a reaction.
"Your boyfriend's area?" Batman asked slowly.
The implied question was right there, almost screaming at her.
'You have a boyfriend?'
And Val smiled, it's not like the polarized glass would betray her.
Whatever the ghost things made to her technology was very appreciated because it allowed her to keep her identity a secret from everyone, even from Batman and his crew.
Especially from Batman.
And she knew because of that he would take every piece of information she drops as if it was a drop of water to a thirsty man in the desert.
And, if it didn't give her all the satisfaction she could get then she doesn't know what the feeling was, but it was a really good feeling.
And this is probably the main reason why Batman has something against her, because he hates not knowing enough and she enjoys his lack of knowledge on her, and Val is not going to please him, not if it isn’t necessary.
And this little piece of information might not be necessary but she's tired and doesn't really want to stay longer in the same room as Bats or in this city at this point.
"Yes, my boyfriend might be the biggest space nerd ever but he's really talented in this area, let me call him to know what's happening here."
She didn't want to stop and think about how much information she just gave to them with that single comment, it's too late, she's tired and dealing with the bats, she doesn't care at all right now, she just wants to get home as soon as possible, and whatever happens is a problem for future Val.
Future Val has hope that ghost things may be able to help her in this situation and hide everything, even if it makes Bat's glare worse for her.
"Isn't it too late to wake him up?" Spoiler asked. "It's like 3:00 a.m."
Val did a double take.
She forgot they must think Danny is just another civilian.
She also forgot he is, technically, just another civilian now. And he must be sleeping like most people.
"Oh, right. I'm gonna text him, just to make sure he's awake."
Val loves the pockets of her suit, it shouldn't have them, not in the strange way it does, but Technus practically did her a favor modifying the original one and his ghostly abilities helped her a lot, like keeping her phone safe and undetectable.
It's always nice to see the surprise in the face of anyone who watches her take her phone from the weird pocket.
Are you awake?>
Luckily for her and her mood, she didn't have to wait too much time to get an answer
Danny 💕
yeah, just finished studying
She frowned looking at the text. She may be glad for not having to wait too long, but Danny shouldn't be neglectful with his necessities. He might be not all human but he's still part human, and sometimes he forgets it.
It's too late to study, why aren't you sleeping?>
Danny 💕
couldn't sleep
do u need smth Val?
Yeah, a little bit of help with some ecto things>
Can I call you?>
Danny 💕
of course
"Fortunately for us all, he's awake and able to help, I'm gonna call him." She said and, before anyone could interrupt it one more time, she called him with her helmet.
She loves her suit, it allows her to make calls, turn them into video calls and doesn't let anyone else hear or see them.
After 25 minutes, a lot of pressure and an awkward silence, during which they probably tried to hack her suit to find out who’s on the other side of the call, the diagnostic was "probably corrupted ectoplasm" because "it's harder to make it work and it's more probable it corrupts something, than work" and "It may hurt the ghosts, but it’s way less effective then using pure ectoplasm against them."
And she repeated everything Danny said word by word and then asked from where they got that corrupted ectoplasm just to get the awkwardest silence of all the night. Once it was clear they wouldn't say a word about that, Val didn't think twice and ran away before anyone could question anything.
On her long way to go home she couldn't stop thinking about sleeping the rest of the night in the arms of Danny. She deserves all the hugs, especially after this night.
The next time someone else heard of him was months after the last time and, unlike the first two times it happened, it wasn't from Red Huntress' mouth.
"Are you telling me that the Red Huntress has a boyfriend?" A blond girl said without believing it.
"And that's the reason why you couldn't go out with us before?" A black haired teen asked just after her
"That sounds stupid,"
It was from Tim's mouth.
On a video call.
"Yeah, B had been acting like a maniac trying to discover her identity." He said, drinking a sip of his coffee.
"Why?" Bart asked in a curious tone.
"Because the last time she came, she said something pretty specific about this boyfriend, and B thought he could use it to get more information, but, somehow, we couldn't find anything," Tim said, frustrated by the situation. He knows there’s not many people that can manage themselves in any ecto-related field, and even less who are experts on weapons against specters.
A space-nerd who knows enough should be weirder, and it means that it should be easy to find Red Huntress’ boyfriend, everyone knows that. And yet they couldn’t do it because somehow, somehow, they're still unable to find any information about any of them.
Tim doesn’t want to cry or scream until there's no more oxygen in the air, his vocal cords break, or his mind goes blank, no, that stage was two weeks ago and now is over. He wants to throw the towel away yelling “F*ck you!” with some tears and never seeing it again, he wants to quit, but he runs with coffee and spite and they’re his new target. He wants to curse Bruce, his name, Red Huntress and her mysterious boyfriend for getting them, for getting him, in this mess.
It's not like Tim or the bats knew this but Val was very glad about the ghost things that hid her identity, and Tucker who helps with the things that escape from them, like Danny’s link with any ecto-thing. She's not glad about other ghost things.
"But you told us it happened, like, months ago" Bart said with a certain level of disbelief.
"Yup." He drank another sip of coffee with a dead-look in his eyes. It makes a perfect match with his eye bags.
"... You can't be serious," Kon said this time
"I'm very serious… and so is he" Tim said in a sight, contemplating to drink a long sip of his coffee, he frowned after realizing he’d drank all of it, took a long and disappointed breath, and keep talking "Guys, you already knew she and B have this strange "rivalry" because we still don’t know her identity, this must be the most awkward pissing contest that we’ve all seen and everyone is getting tired of it. Even Jason is getting tired of it and you know how much he loves when B is that pissed." Another sigh, he hasn’t had a real sleep with all the increase of ghost activity where there was zero before. He doesn't have energy for anything.
"...That sounds even more stupid." Kon commented after a while.
"I know, right?" Tim said, making eye contact with him through the screen, he looked a little like a maniac himself for the validation, Kon noticed. "It's even worse when you have to watch them in their not-so-passive-and-more-aggressive fight-"
"How much time have you been into this?" Cassie asked, interrupting Tim.
"Too much," A femenine voice answered from somewhere behind Tim, scaring him and surprising the rest of them. "Are you talking about B's latest project, right?"
"What are you doing here, Steph?" Tim asked, turning himself towards her.
"Alf asked me to tell you that dinner is ready" She said, walking to Tim and getting in the camera area. "Anyways, what were you talking about?"
"Hey Steph!" Cassie started before Tim could say anything "Did you know Red has a boyfriend?"
"Yeah, he sounds like a nice guy from what Red Huntress says."
"What?" Everyone asked at the same time, creating a weird sound. Tim in particular was looking Steph at her eyes with some mix of unbelief, surprise, betrayal and despair.
"I mean, it's not like she talks a lot about him but she drops a comment or two when we talk, she doesn't even seem to notice it and she gets really soft when it happens, it was a little scary at the beginning but you get use to it." Steph threw like if it wasn't the bomb that it is. Maybe on purpose. Probably on purpose.
"Soft? Red Huntress gets soft when she talks about him?" Someone asked as if the information strangled them. But Tim didn’t care, because Steph knew things, she was learning about the guy who was the doom of his existence right now behind his back, the reason why he racked his brains day and night for the last two months.
And she didn’t said a word.
"Huh? Yeah, amazing I know, but not as amazing as the dinner, Tim-"
"Why didn't you say something?" His voice sounded like strangled by all the betrayal he felt. He was drowning in that feeling and coffee right now, maybe too much coffee, and Steph should be drowning in shame, not him in betrayal, just she in shame.
"Because she never dropped anything that important, just some comments of stupid, nerd, sweet and nice he is." She replied rolling her eyes "And I'm Team Red Huntress, I wasn't going to give any advantage to Bruce, duh,"
“Red Huntress being soft?”
"Steph." Tim groaned with a mix of feelings he couldn't even identify. It was more than what his sleep deprived brain could process and now it had melted, was nothing more than mashed potatoes with some ketchup and a half cooked egg in the cleanest pot you could find at 2 a.m after touching the bottom of your life two days ago and still being in the midst of a crisis. He hadn't slept enough for this amount of sh*t and the coffee can't replace sleep anymore. He wants to get in his bed and forget all this situation as he slips slowly into unconsciousness and falls to the earth's-
"Nuh-uh, Timmy, sleep can wait, dinner can't."
Yes, eating sounds good for him right now.
After that time it became difficult to say when next someone found out that Red Huntress has a boyfriend, because the Bats can be a bunch of dirty gossipmongers like any old lady at tea time. By the end of the month, everyone knew about her mysterious boyfriend.
Well, almost everyone.
"’Sorry guys, I can't go with you because it's date night’? What, is she seeing someone?"
"Her boyfriend, duh, she's been all busy because of all of the ghosts in the natural portals that are becoming more common."
"Ugh, don't say a thing, they have been my new headache for the last month or two."
"Well, you have this free night to get rid of it." The other replied, "However, it's nice to know that it hasn't affected her relationship, the guy seems nice from what she said."
The one who read the message wasn't following this conversation.
"What do you mean?"
"That she has a boyfriend?" And the silence arrived. "Seriously, you didn't know?"
The next time someone found out that Red Huntress has a boyfriend because she told them was this time. Kinda. A text still counts, I guess.
"No! I was out for ages!" Kara exclaimed, making a huge move of arms to express how unexpected the information was for her.
"It was like, a month," Katana said without paying a real attention to the conversation behind her.
Kara shrugged "Ages. A month. Same thing." And then sighed a little bit "The world is changing."
"I know I said something similar but now I know how weird it was for her." Cassie muttered as she watches Kara and Zatanna's talk
"I know, right?" Steph didn't do better when she found out, neither did Zatanna or Katana or most of them. The only exception is Black Canary, but only because she was able to hide it better.
"What do you mean?" Kara asked.
"She mentions him a lot," Zatanna said, getting closer to the blond one.
"No," Kara knows how reserved Red Huntress is, everyone knows that! It's hard to not know what is happening between her and the bats. They all assumed it is some kind of fight because Batman doesn't know her identity.
They think nobody notices how she ignores the strange Bat's question or how Red Huntress will look in his direction every time someone says something like "privacy".
"She does." Zatanna is smiling as she watches Kara's face fall in some mix of unbelief, despair, oh-my-lord-this-is-a-so-weird-dream, hope? And betrayal.
"You are lying," was said in that exact same tone "I can't believe you."
"You’d better," Zatanna chuckles, "I'm not lying about how much she talks about him, it may be like two or three comments per talk, which are not that much but definitely more than what anyone expects."
"She's not lying though," Steph gets in the conversation, "She makes some comments like "I know someone who dance better than you, criminal" or "I would say a joke but that would mean he won, ugh" You really won't notice unless you know it, and once you do it's really obvious."
""Even he makes better decisions than you"," Kara was mortified as the words got out of her mouth.
"Just like that."
"How didn't I know?"At this point, Kara already questionated all her life decisions and everything she knew. She knows nothing now and Red was the biggest liar. It doesn't matter that she actually never told any of this theme to them but still a liar.
"To be honest, you need to know where to look to find the clues." Zatanna finally had mercy, Kara wouldn't forgive her right now, this all happened all of sudden, but she is grateful for her mercy.
"Bats almost went crazy because of that" Steph said happily as it wasn't the understatement of the year.
Kara can see that. She feels better now, not even the big bat noticed it at the beginning.
She could live with that.
"So, are we having our girl's night with questionable legality or what?"
The last time they heard of her mysterious boyfriend before they finally met him, was after a year of knowing about him, just after a catastrophe.
A ghost related catastrophe.
In retrospect, it was obvious, the natural portals were becoming more common, the ghost attacks were more and more frequent, something felt wrong and it was only a matter of time until this happened.
A big mess in red and green that happened just because a crazy man thought he had enough power to control all this entities to take over the world.
Key word: thought. He couldn't control them.
Ghosts are chaotic and have some very specific obsessions. Sometimes they opposed and they had to solve it with the best method they knew.
Fights.
It was a mess from the beginning.
Luckily for them, Batman's paranoia does something good, and prepared a lot of weapons and gadgets that works on them.
They were, at least, a little prepared.
The most worrying part of this was the crazy man screaming "You haven't seen the real power! If I don't show you they will!" Because after that he escaped from the biggest heroes in the world, somehow. Probably because of all the destruction.
They hope he won't become a real problem, but knowing their luck, he will.
But it doesn't matter right now, because this story isn't about crazy people and ghosts against the justice league, no. This story is about what the people know about Red Huntress' boyfriend.
So, the last time they heard of her mysterious boyfriend before they finally met him, was in the Atalaya after a year of knowing about him, just after the catastrophe that I just mentioned.
They all were getting some rest after that exhausting fight.
Val was grateful that this place has some kind of living rooms and got the good couches in them, even if now she was part of some pile.
To be honest, she doesn't think she would like to get a break in the meeting room.
Because yes, there's a reason why the most of them are here and it's because they need to close this case as soon as it's possible and, even though they just fought, there's a crazy man who has been learning things he shouldn't know and started to using them, and that, that's a real big problem.
But not Valerie's biggest problem right now.
"Huh," she said as she frowned, breaking their comfortable silence. There was this tone in her voice that said something feels bad, and that's very important when you just fought with a horde of ghosts and some maniac screamed "You haven't seen the end of me! You'll regret this!" Or something like that.
And that's exactly why it called everyone's attention.
"What happened? " Zatanna broke from her position, sitting on the floor with one of her legs close to her chest, her back on the couch and her head in Red Huntress' stomach now.
"My boyfriend hasn't called yet." Red Huntress said with clear confusion in her tone.
"And?" There wasn't anything really bad, it may be just that it collapsed because of a lot of people must have called their loved ones to check on them after the situation.
"Not even a message." She started to sound a little frustrated. "He was in Amity Park visiting family."
And the silence arrived. Everyone knew the problem with that.
Amity has the door to the other side. The portal, the bridge, the hole among the live and the dead.
Ghosts aren't unusual there, even before this.
That city would have been a hell on earth.
"But… Wasn't Phantom there?" Spoiler was a little worried. She may have not met the guy but he sounds strong enough to protect the city and its habitants. She hopes he could be able to protect The boyfriend™. He sounds nice and makes Red Huntress happy. It would be a lame if something happened to him. She moves a little uncomfortable in the puff because her position didn't allow her to look at the Red huntress's head and her neck wasn't happy.
"Uh… I mean, yes, but this is still being a little strange," Red Huntress said in a weird voice. "No one has texted anything to me and he has the costume to get in weird and bad situations" She mumbled, clearly worried.
"... Phantom?"
"No, D- my boyfriend."
"... He could be tired," Kara offered from her position upside down on the couch, Red Huntress’ legs above her stomach and Steph's head was close to her own.
"... It wouldn't be the first time," She accepted, a little ashamed, a little more worried.
They all fell in a silence more uncomfortable than the last one, the expectation was growing as the time ran and it was suddenly broken by the sound of a message notification.
Valerie took and turned on her phone so fast she could, and unlocked it. The name wasn't Danny's but it would work.
Sam
He's fine
They weren't really powerful but were a lot, but nothing he couldn't manage, he just got tired lol
He arrived to his house and fell asleep before even touch his bed
The relief washed over her as she couldn't be more grateful for that. Sam and her aren't the best friends but Valerie knows she can trust her with Danny's safety, at least, now that they're young adults. Teenage her wouldn't trust Sam after knowing why the accident happened, especially not with Danny's safety, but as an adult she knows that she grew up and is worthy of trust… Most of the time anyways.
"He's fine, just fell asleep." She said, visibly relieved, bringing calm to the atmosphere in the room.
"Good to know." Kara said a little sleepy "I'm feelin' sleepy too."
"Yeah, me too," Zatanna agreed as she closes her eyes.
"A nap sounds nice." Valerie was already falling.
"Yay, sleepover in the Atalaya." Steph barely mumbled before anyone fell asleep.
After some seconds, none of them were awake.
The day they met him was just the day after that. And it was in the weirdest but precise way it could be.
"Danny?!"
"Uh, hi V- I mean, Red" He laughs nervously "I'm so grateful you're here because I couldn't text you to warn you and-,"
"What are you doing here?" She asked in some mix of surprise, anger, exasperation and resignation.
"Uh, well, you'll see-,"
"He is the chosen one to bring the ghost king to this realm!" Said the main cultist
"- I'm the sacrifice." Danny chuckles, clearly nervous.
The silence would have fulfilled the entire place if it wasn't for the little laughs of Danny.
"W-What happened?" Kara asked, feeling out
The first time they met Red Huntress' boyfriend is 24 hours after the end of the ghost catastrophe.
They made a meeting just 6 hours after because everyone was tired but there was a menace running away to only-gods-above-knows-where. In the same meeting they agreed to make an assault group to face this menace, it was small but powerful because it was conformed by a Green Lantern, Supergirl, Batman, Flash, Zatanna and Red Huntress. Half of them were there because they were less tired.
Once they were ready, they chased the track of the crazy man™, which was way more difficult than what they expected. But they finally found his lair, a just abandoned building, and they, somehow, were able to get in the middle of, and interrupting, a ritual to summon the most powerful ghost, the ghost king, in which, Danny, Red Huntress' boyfriend, was the main sacrifice.
It was certainly a shock when they arrived just to watch a bunch of people, in some big odd clothes that hide their entire figure, singing in a dead language around a lanky guy, with messy clothes, tied to a table in the center of a summon circle.
Which leads to this situation.
Red trusted Sam one time. Just one time and THIS happens.
She is concerned and impressed.
(Okay, she trusted Sam a lot of times before but how did this keep happening its a real mystery).
"How?" The impulse to cover her face with her hands was surprisingly big. She would like this to stop happening.
"That's not of YOUR concern!" One of the cultists said, he sounded suspiciously like the crazy man™.
"To be honest" Danny interrupted, calling everyone's attention "It's kinda funny, I just woke up and saw that my parents didn't have milk, which is normal, so, I went to buy it and in the middle of my walk someone screamed "You!" But I was really tired to pay attention to it, and I didn't stop, the next thing I knew it's that I'm here." The more of them looked at him with incredulity as he spoke, it sounds just ridiculous.
"... I can't believe you" Valerie really wished she could mean it but, sadly for her, she totally believes it. Dating Danny is a way to find out that Danny doesn't look for problems, problems look for him in the weirdest ways.
"It happened, though." Danny sounded exhausted, maybe of his luck, maybe of his life.
Red Huntress sighed under the watchful and expectant gaze of everyone else.
"So, let me get this straight," Valerie started. "You went to buy milk, alone."
"Yes"
"And someone screamed "You!", and you ignored it?"
"Yup."
"And that was a kind of warning before getting kidnapped."
"... In retrospective, yes, it was," Someone snorted, she didn't care enough, this was ridiculous anyways.
"Why, Danny, I- just-" Valerie sighed, Sam may differ but she didn't sign up for this "Why?"
"Because I just knew he was the perfect offering the moment I saw him walking on the streets."  The man answered the question proudly. His capacity to feel the power in a human being should not be underestimated.
"Thank you man, I really appreciate that, but I'm not… I don’t look like one." Danny was tense and he was right, he was in his clothes from yesterday because he slept with them. A big age-worn green sweater with a white shirt, that Val just knows is that one parodying NASA's logo with a UFO, peeking out, his oldest and ripped jeans and just one, single, and untied, shoe. Everything was wrinkly and his hair was practically a nest because of the mess that it is. To be honest, he looks like a lanky and sleep deprived nerd that goes to college. Maybe one step from death from the chaos in his life but not like the perfect offering.
It created a silence, a big silence that was just broken by Red Huntress' voice.
"That's it, I'm done." She said in an inexpressible tone "You all are doomed, I'm done with this".
"But V- Reeeeed" Her boyfriend groaned in a miserable voice. "I'm scared and unable to do anything."
It was the way he said "unable" that impacted Valerie, because it means: "I can't go ghost or use my powers, I'm out of ecto-sauce."
She breathes, magnificent, Danny is powerless right now, it means like she wasn't stressed enough for all this situation.
"Okay, okay," Red Huntress says, lowering her voice and entering a more serious mood. "I can work with that." Her voice was silent and sent shivers down everyone’s spine.
She moved her body into a better position to fight.
"We can work with that."
And it took just one (1) little move to start the fight.
It was chaotic, half of the cultists went to fight and distract the heros meanwhile the other half started the ritual to summon the ghost king again, just at a lower speed, because, apparently, the amount of people was important to define it.
And they were just six (6) heros against a lot of cultists, but they were four (4) with superpowers or similar, one (1) with a super-suit, and Batman.
The fight was messy and exhausting, the number of cultists never seemed to end, but, luckily for Danny, they didn't know how to fight, so the heros were able to end  it in time.
And now, with a worrying amount of unconscious people and the six of them, well, exhausted, Danny was finally safe, tired and safe.
Valerie went to free him once for all, and when she had her arms under his knees and back, his arms around her neck, she finally felt the relief of knowing he is safe in her arms.
"You-" She said with all her mixed feelings in her voice, trying to explain how she felt. After struggling for some seconds she kept it in silence.
"You didn't have to carry me, you know?" He broke the silence in a low and playful tone under the gaze of the other five heros, looking to Val's eyes behind the polarized glass.
"I know," she mumbled in a breath looking at his eyes, keeping it for a time. Her tone had a little of shame and Danny knew she was worried enough to need this.
Not all the days someone manages to get you when you're vulnerable just to sacrifice you to summon you. He was a little scared too.
"Kiss me." He said after just a few seconds, taking by surprise most of the room.
"In this place? Under everyone's eyes?" She asked without being really surprised but a little doubtful
His eyes softened as he saw the doubt on his girlfriend, "Can I?" was asked in a whisper looking for permission.
"Yes." She said in a silence but sure of what it implied right now
And with that simple word, Danny moved his hands to her helmet, pressed some buttons and cradled her face in his hands to give her a soft and long kiss, after which he brought their foreheads together to have a moment of intimacy.
"I'm so grateful you saved me, my hero," Danny said in a playful voice, mocking his girlfriend.
"You are welcome, damsel in distress," She replied with a smile on her face.
Danny laughed, surprising the rest of the heroes, who kept looking at the moment.
"That was so baaaad," Danny laughed a little bit more. "I love you." he said when he finally stopped the giggles.
"I love you too, but put the glass on," And Danny did it.
Batman, finally, interrupts the moment by cleaning his throat. "Let's go." he said looking at Red Huntress, and then, her boyfriend. "You can bring him too." And he started to walk out of the place
"Thank you Batman." Red Huntress said.
“Are we going to THE Atalaya?! To SPACE?!" Danny asked.
After the mysterious medical check (Valerie did it alone because neither she or Danny would let anyone else to check Danny's health), they finally had another meeting, mainly because Red Huntress asked for it.
The report wasn't immediately necessary but Red insisted, so there they are. Sitting in their respective chairs with the obvious exception of Red Huntress’ famous boyfriend, Danny, who sat in her lap.
"I called you all here because I wanted to make some presentations now that the cat is out of the bag," Red Huntress said with his boyfriend giggling a little bit because of the last part.
She breathes and presses the buttons on the side of her helmet, revealing her face.
"I am Valerie Gray and he," Danny turns his face to see everyone in the room, avoiding the eyes of Constantine and Zatanna "is my boyfriend, Danny Fenton".
"Nice to meet you". He said with a large grin that allowed them to see his fangs.

Trying to figure out why the fandom meme that Tim is misogynistic bothers me so much, beyond my usual kneejerk response to perceived inaccuracy, and I think the key is that it feels like fandom is lying to me.
Specifically, lying about nearly all the other characters.
That I am being taunted with some theoretical Less Sexist 90′s Comics that don’t actually exist.
Sexism is one of the reasons that I never bothered to seek out superhero comics when younger. Our town didn’t have a comics shop, which sure put a damper on it, but I didn’t bother looking for collected volumes when venturing into regular bookstores, or the occasional trip out of town to places with huge bookstores. I flipped through enough and heard enough chatter to know I didn’t want to put up with the sexism. Scans Daily on Livejournal sure had plenty of supporting examples.
Reading 1990′s & early 2000′s comics now, I can confirm this was the right choice on younger me’s part. There is a lot of sexism in that era, and unlike with prose books by a singular author, it’s much harder to ditch wholesale. I’ve got a lot more analytical reading under my belt now, so it’s easier to roll my eyes at the bullshit and focus on what is enjoyable than it used to be. From the later 2010′s comics I found at the library, things are improving, though still stumbling.
So yeah, Tim does sometimes say sexist crap. But as I devour comic after comic, so far, he isn’t saying or doing anything more sexist, more frequently, than any other character, including the gals. It’s almost like it’s a writing problem, not a character problem.
As far as I can tell, from what I’ve read, which includes all of Batgirl 2000, Young Justice 1998, and nearly half of Robin 1993, Tim is less sexist than the adult men he’s surrounded by, and no few of his fellow teenage boy heroes.
Maybe I’m missing something! But gender doesn’t seem to come into his treatment of Gotham vigilantes and YJ teammates? The most it comes up with his civilian peers is that, typical for the time period, girls are treated by the narrative & characters as potential romantic options and boys aren’t? Tim talks to Callie the same way he talks to Ives & Hudman? He and Ariana both make relationship mistakes, but in ways that are pretty normal for a 13-14 year old’s first romance?
So when the fandom keeps making ‘misogyny’ Tim’s distinguishing traits from the other Bats, or other YJ members or Titans, it implies that reading comics focused on other characters would have less sexism, but when I do read other comics, that’s not fucking TRUE.
Where are these magical less sexist Bat comics?
Who are these heroes fandom claims are less misogynistic?
Because it’s not Nightwing. It’s not anything Bruce takes center stage in. Barbara is fine in Batgirl 2000, but in other comics she’s written as cattily jealous and tears into other women. It’s not Stephanie, as we saw with Batgirl 2009′s treatment of Jordanna Spence.
Batgirl 2000 does pretty good, but that’s the only one I can think of, and fandom singling out Tim makes it sound like it should be all of the others.
Fandom likes to say Jason drinks his Respect Women Juice, but when I read Under the Red Hood and Lost Days, they felt about the same level as Tim’s comics. And I keep seeing examples from Jason’s Robin days of him admiring women or learning from them or teaming up, but I also get that from Tim’s comics.
Before he even had a long running solo, Tim’s Robin mini’s got a crossover with Huntress, in which he respects both her skills and her secrets, and argues with her about as much as he does with Bruce. Tim supports Cassie winning leadership of Young Justice, he supports Cissie’s decision to do what she felt was most responsible. He apologizes for avoiding Cass after finding her intimidating and goes on to work well with her.
I like Tim. I’m mostly enjoying his comics. They’ve got less sexism than I expected of the era they’re written in.
And I hate that fandom’s running meme about him makes it feel like everyone else is making a joke at my expense.

“Which is the dude from the thing?” Bernard asks, and Tim has to stare at him so hard it feels like his eyes are going to melt out of his head, but Bernard doesn’t even clarify until he clears his throat so blatantly it hurts. “You know, that one pop star that everyone wants to make fight Batman. I think he’s from – okay, now I can’t remember where he’s from, either.”
“Maybe you should go to sleep,” Tim says, rubbing his shoulders and kissing the top of his ear. “You’ve been up all night writing fanfic.” And it’s maybe selfish, but Tim kind of wishes he’d been up all night making chili or something, if he’s going to stay up all night, because the shitty fast food places aren’t open yet, and he needs something dense to eat. Whatever there is to microwave isn’t going to cut it.
“You’ve been up all night fighting clowns or whatever, so I think of the two of us, I make healthier life choices,” Bernard says, snappishly, but also without looking up from his screen. Tim knows it’s his fault that Bern keeps staying up, that it’s just a reaction to his anxiety, that it’s going to have to be Tim doing something, or else they’re just going to have to wait it out. But he still doesn’t expect Bernard, half asleep and writing what appears to be barely coherent language (and not entirely English), to say, “there’s a guy, he’s named after a bird? Shit, maybe he’s a superhero, actually. You guys all have bird names, and you’re superheroes, right?”
“Bern,” Tim says, gently, turning the chair so Bernard has to look away from his computer, which he clings very hard to, making agitated noises. “Bernard. Bernard, look at me. What the hell kind of bird do you think a Nightwing is? Do Oracle, Red Hood, Spoiler, Signal, or Huntress sound like any kind of bird to you? Are you tired enough to think a bat is a bird?”
“Red Hood sounds like it probably could be a bird,” Bernard mutters, scratching a little too intensely at his eyebrow, “some kind of like. A falcon or something. A hawk. What’s the dude who dresses in like super fashionable clothing and then he’s got like a motorcycle and stuff and I think he’s an assassin.”
“Bear, babe, you just described like half my family,” Tim says, tilting their foreheads together so he can attempt to look his boyfriend in the eye, except said boyfriend keeps darting his gaze back and forth, not like he’s looking for hidden dangers or weapons to fight them off with, but like he forgot something crucial. Turning off the stove level stuff. (Tim darts out to check the stove, just quickly, but it’s off.)
“He’s pink,” says Bernard, with a level of certainty Tim definitely can’t pull off on that little sleep, much as he tries. But he has no idea what kind of pink pop star motorcycle riding assassin fighting Batman Bernard thinks he – fuck.
“Flamingo?” Tim practically yells, wondering how to best pack incredulity into the rest of his sentence, “are you talking about Eddie fucking Flamingo, Bernard? That’s not a pop star and he’s not from a TV show, he’s real, and he has a rap sheet a mile long, because, as you said, he’s an assassin.”
“Right, yeah. Him. He’s cool,” Bernard says, with the tone of voice that definitely means that wasn’t the first adjective he thought of but he’s still worried Tim’s going to be jealous about it. Which isn’t totally unfair, because Tim still does get a little jealous when Bernard looks at other guys, but he’s trying to cut down on that because it’s not exactly helping anyone with anything. And Tim would like to be able to look at other guys without feeling guilty. (Just look.)
“He is not cool, Bernard, he eats fucking faces, Bernard, you need to go to sleep,” Tim says, and then pulls Bern’s face into his hands, and looks at him very long-sufferingly, but lovingly, and places a kiss on the tip of his nose. And then, just to drive his point home, repeats, “Go the fuck to sleep.”
“No, I have to get this scene,” Bernard says, typing the word Flamingo way too many times for Tim’s comfort, scrolling up and down through the document he has open, and several other files that don’t actually seem to have writing in them. “Hey, how strong is your dad, anyway? Could he like. Lift a motorcycle?”
“Could he lift a motorcycle?” Tim asks, giving up on spinning Bernard’s chair around again in favor of rubbing at his face and regretting asking any of these questions at any point, but unable to (after hearing that) let this lie. “How strong do you think Batman is? You know he’s human, right? Like a regular human? I did explain this, didn’t I?”
“He could have robots in his suit or something, I don’t know,” Bernard says, while Tim tries not to cry, because, admittedly, Luke can lift a motorcycle in most of his less compact suits. But the recharge time on those is astronomical, so it’s not like that’s a helpful comparison. There’s a reason Bruce uses them so sparingly, but there are a couple he obviously could lift a motorcycle in, if he saw a reason to use them. So Tim doesn’t even know what to say.
So he just reads over Bernard’s shoulder, while his boyfriend smirks and points out a couple of choice sentences, one of which he’ll have to come back to because that is definitely not a language he knows. It might be Mando’a. It’s written in roman characters, at least, which rules out a lot of things. “What do you need him to lift a motorcycle for, anyway?” Tim asks, because so far the motorcycle doesn’t seem to have appeared, although it might be in an earlier chapter. He’s really going to have to ask Bernard how many chapters this thing is.
“Oh, I want him to pick it up and use it to smack Flamingo in the face,” Bernard says, matter of factly, and then mimes what Tim figures must be what he thinks it would be like to pick up a motorcycle one-handed and then bitchslap someone with it. It’s a little bit too casual of a gesture to be convincing about it, though.
“Bernard, my love, my life, my reason for getting up in the morning,” Tim says, pinning his wrists so he can't open his browser back up again, “I have never been more serious about anything. You need to rethink this once you’ve slept.” The words grate, coming out of his mouth, and he’s not enjoying feeling sympathy for all the people who’ve said this to him, and probably he was still right and they were still wrong, but, like, he gets why they said it, now.
“No, no, it’s fine,” Bernard says, condescendingly patting Tim’s arm and giving him a rough kiss before turning back to the computer and typing rapidfire, in a way Tim’s pretty sure he’s never seen Bern do while completely awake. Some of those words are Portuguese, though. At least one sentence is in German. (It’s the one where the motorcycle finally appears.) “I think Batman can probably lift a motorcycle, if he gets a running start.”
Tim picks him up and carries him.

Idk that much about the DCU, but Booster Gold being from the 25th century,,, what if he’s from the future timeline where TUE Dark-Dan happened? Like yeah he was born four centuries afterwards, humanity has rebuilt itself and life moved on, but he would def have learned about the Days of Dark in school/gone to the Red Huntress Memorial Museum and all that before he got the harebrained idea to time travel before the time line split. The JL’s first contact with Phantom is just Booster Gold in the back going through all stages of ‘nope’ and ‘I didn’t sign up for this’ and ‘why did I not think this through.’ I think this works with any other time traveler in the league as well, and I can see them kinda football-huddling like ‘how are we gonna deal with this???’
Ooooooo. I like this a LOT. I’d say that it might make more sense for Bart Allen to be from the Dan timeline. Bart seeing Phantom and his face just going white as chalk and having to break it to Danny that his future self in his timeline was a part of what fully fuckin destroyed his future planet.
For Booster, nothing really bad was happening on his world. He simply just was a janitor at the hall of heroes and stole some equipment to fake being a superhero to get money and fame. He eventually becomes a sorta time cop helping bad events from even happening in the timeline. Having the world rebuild itself from Dan’s destruction is a very neat and interesting idea. Going “ok that happened. Here’s what happened after” instead of focusing on the time of the immediate fallout.
Booster seeing Danny and not at all hiding his panic and freaking the hell out on how to stop Danny’s eventual destruction of the Earth? That’s some good shit right there.

Red Hood, other Anti-Heroes/Villians and the issue with killing in comics.
First here's the thing before you read this, I just wanna say this isn't a post complaining about if killing is good or not, far from it so don't worry.
Tumblr media
I also wanna say really like Jason Todd. One of my favorite Robins though I like him more as Red Hood. My only issue with him is that DC is stuck with his direction as a character(Not as much as Tim at least). For a lot of reasons
One of those things is that anti-Heroes don't work in main superhero universes at least in DC, in Marvel killing isn't looked down on much unless you do it like the Punisher(Consistently, no exceptions and extreme)
When I'm talking about Anti-Heroes I mean who don't hesitate to kill, because the definition of Anti-Heroes even include guys like Batman, Spider-Man, Iron man and Daredevil (Classical Anti-Heroes,Disney Anti Hero,) talking about the types like Huntress and Red Hood(Unscrupulous Hero) and Punisher (Nominal Hero).
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Analysis/AntiHero if you wanna know what I'm talking about.
Tumblr media
An issue they have is that they kill criminals consistently, and those criminals include supervillains but in comic books, villians in comics are kinda a commodity. Villians are what makes the heroes. So DC obviously will never let Jason kill the Joker or Riddler or Poison Ivy or Bane, or let Frank Castle kill Green Goblin or Kingpin. That's getting rid of a commodity that writers need for stories.
It's why I laugh when people say why doesn't Batman kill the Joker or something, they won't let him guys. Joker is too popular to kill same with the rest of his rouges, the writers need the villians to continue writing more stories and if time has taught us anything is that new villians don't even catch on most of the time to replenish the old popular ones.
So Frank and Jason and left to keep offing mooks, looking stupid and incompetent for not taking out the actual threats or just offing D-listers, it then brings up the question of why doesn't JASON kill the Joker since he's always talking about how willing to kill he is. yeah sure they'll write Batman like the biggest dick to fight him not too but there has been times when nothing has been stopping Jason to do it, see what I mean?
There's also another thing that DC and Marvel just won't let chracters less popular than the big no kill rule big heroes be more effective (and this is coming from a guy whofor the most part is anti killing). You really think Marvel is gonna let Red Hood have the moral high ground with Batman or Punisher with Spider-Man or Captain America?
But yeah I don't wanna get into the whole 'should heroes kill debate' here just making a point.
This is why they honestly work in outside comic universes like the games or movies. See the 'Superhero Movie Villains Die' trope
Tumblr media
Basically they just don't mesh well with the status quo nature of comics.
So now we have heroes/villians(yes I consider frank a borderline villian) who are known for killing but can't kill anyone significant for multiple reasons, like how Red Hood by the New 52 had like 83 kills but no one in there was anyone actually important.
This is why Punishers best run was in an entire different universe where heroes didn't exist so he could kill Kingpin without issues. With Punisher they can always stick with that or just do what they usually do and make him take out mooks and barely developed rouges. They recently made him the head of the hand and gave him superpowers, it's actually interesting in my opinion.
With Jason it's more complicated. There's two sides, he drops guns and killing and joins up with the bat family as a kind of character development or he unrepentantly leaves the bat family behind and starts killing people and using guns then runs into all the issues I mentioned above. The latter side believes that hum dropping killing and guns removes everything that makes him interesting while the former believes it's good character progression for him to drop it. I think both have good points.
Personally I think they should lean into the supernatural side of him, like go all in and make him the dude in the Batfamily that handles supernatural threats, his the only one in the family that has straight up superpowers (Edit: forgot Duke, forgive me but he got them before him so point stands I guess) with his All blades so take those and have him to team up with Zatanna or Constantine, fighting vampires and zombies. (Happy to see they are doing this with Cass kinda I haven't read Spirit World)
Or they lean into the Task Force Z/Outlaws/DCeased aspect of him leading other Mistfits, Anti-Heroes and Villians into becoming better people like with the thunderbolts from Marvel. Maybe hook him up with some kinda of government connection so people he kills aren't illegal during this redemption quests or something.
Well I've got nothing else to ramble about.
