On the set of 33 1/3 Revolutions Per Monkee, November 1968. Peter leaving The Monkees, post 1 of 3.
Tom Snyder: “Why did it all break up?” Micky Dolenz: “Well, Peter Tork quit. That was the main reason.” Davy Jones: “Well, he withdrew, he actually withdrew. He didn’t just quit, there was, there was a reason for it. He was not being artistically satisfied in certain ways. And we were, as I said, Micky and I, had done other things before and so we were used to taking the directions. So when it come down to other people, forgetting that Carole King and Neil Diamond and Harry Nilsson, Neil Sedaka wrote all the tunes — and Mike and Peter also did, but they never got the chance really to put any down in the early days. They decided that they wanted to do more music and Peter was the first one. He withdrew, and said that he would prefer to try it on his own so he could do more of what he likes best, which is music.” MD: “They’d been promised, Mike and Peter had been promised that they would be able to express themselves musically because they were from a musical background. Peter had been in New York, in the Village, come through that scene with the Mamas and Papas and Lovin’ Spoonful. And he’s a genius, the man is a genius at music. As I said, Peter was — and is — a genius in music. And he got very frustrated because he wasn’t able to satisfy himself creatively. And Mike felt the same way." - Tomorrow with Tom Snyder, 1977
"We never thought of replacing him — there’s only one Peter Tork in the world. Who knows, maybe in two or three years’ time he’ll come back?” - Michael Nesmith, Melody Maker, March 1, 1969
"'Of all of us, I was the one who took the most pain,’ Tork said. 'But looking back, I think it was misplaced idealism that caused me that pain, not the actual phenomenon — the thing that Michael Nesmith calls "the artifact." 'As a musician, I feel extremely lucky that we got to make one album, Headquarters, that was exactly the album I hoped to make.’" - The Charlotte Observer, May 31, 1997
“I didn't have a band. I wanted this kind of connection and I didn't get it, so I felt it was up to me to leave." - Peter Tork, The Guardian, April 28, 2011

The Marauders Would Not Have Been Aurors
They were plagued with blood supremacy and fear their entire lives, I don’t think all of them would’ve dedicated their lives to a job that continues such feelings even after the war. Especially because James would not become an auror if he was going to start a family, he wouldn’t put them in danger like that. (This post is also supported by my other posts/headcanons so check them out if you’re curious as to my reasoning)
So here is what they would’ve been (yes I can explain these):
James - Professional Quidditch Player
Sirius - Works in the Ministry as the wizards equivalent to a Social Worker
Peter - Auror (He was a spy for so long, he knows the inner workings and how their minds work and he will stop at nothing to protect others like the friends that took him in when he was younger)
Remus - DADA Teacher (where he always belonged, and also teaches up to date information on magical creatures and helps fight unfair judgements)
Honorable Mention:
Lily - Takes over teaching transfiguration and being head of Gryffindor House since McGonagall took over as Hogwarts’ Headmistress
(yes, Rem and Lily do have lunch together, often with McGonagall as well)

i see this jason todd who actually looks his very young age (instead of the 30yr old man that comics like to portray)
Tumblr media
and feel my heart breaking just imagining bruce beating him up, almost killing him, mind-breaking him, and just overall being a total piece of shit father towards him.
a huge chunk of the reason why people don't view bruce's actions towards jason as abusive or wrong is because jason doesn't look his age. he's drawn to be this 35yr old father of three who looks even older than dick (and way too on par with bruce) that people see their fights as one between batman and any of his regular rogues. when they fight, it just looks like batman is fighting a man his age and not an actual young person. it doesn't look like batman is fighting his son who's barely even drinking age (and who def wasn't drinking age in utrh). their fights are portrayed in a way that eliminates the very real power struggle between them.
this applies to jason's entire character as well. a lot of people don't sympathize with how he died or his actions as robin or his fights with the other bats because he doesn't look his age. he always looks older and scarier than everyone else. tim has many sympathizers from the titans tower incident because jason just looked like a grown man fighting a 12yr old (even tho i disagree, tim was built and like 17 lmfao).
anyways, i just wish comics would actually draw jason to look his age, which literally ranges from 19 to early twenties. he's young- so young, and it's so annoying to see him drawn and written as someone older than even bruce.

Headache - @jegulus-microfic - 235 words
Regulus had the worst migraines ever.
Whenever he as much as passed by a crowd of loud gryffindors, walked the grounds when it's sunny, or played a long match of quidditch, he always ended up with his head pounding and eyes watering, unable to move or speak. He would need complete silence, as little light as possible, and a long nap.
When he started dating James, extroverted cheery bubbly James, he thought he would need to keep his distance whenever his temples started to hurt.
But to his surprise, the moment he mentionned having a headache in the middle of the Halloween party, James dropped everything and pulled him gently towards his dorm room.
He closed the curtains, fluffed up the pillows, and pushed Regulus softly on the bed before tucking him in.
"Would you like me to stay with you, or do you prefer being alone?"
"James, it's fine. You can go back to your party. I'll just sleep it off."
The frown on James' face was too adorable, when he responded:
"Baby, that's not what I asked you."
Regulus couldn't deny that the mere thought of his head on James' chest already made the tension in his head lighter, so he pulled his boyfriend by the sleeve and settled next to him, content despite the pain.
Honestly, Regulus should've known that James would be considerate and lovely. It was James after all.

Across the Spiderverse is an almost perfect movie and i'll never not be unbeliavably grateful that it exists but a lot of the fandom takes make me wanna unironically gatekeep it.Please stop making the fat jewish guy sexually harrass the brown latino man as comedy and feminizing the indian boy who's a literal jock because he's a ray of sunshine and shut the fuck up about how the homeless teen trans girl with an abusive dad is an abuser too for having realistic traits for her age and how the kid who's entire point of his character is being a black punk teenager is an adult Ackstually because he's tall and a team parent,i'm about to start throwing not only hands but also large objects

On the set of Head (1968): photo 2 from Monkees Monthly.
“Mike Nesmith, who had permission to wear his beard in the Monkees’ forthcoming movie (yet to be started) shaved it. Peter Tork, who doesn’t (have permission), didn’t (shave)… yet.” - Judy Sims, Disc & Music Echo, February 17, 1968 “[W]e start [the ‘As We Go Along’ sequence] with me in Alaska. Where I went up — at that point, we had already shot, this is post-production shooting. I wanted to go out wearing my beard. Bob [Rafelson] wouldn’t hear of it, so I deliberately cut my sideburns back like Stephen Stills. This is my homage to Stephen: if you’re watching this, hey, pal, I’m thinking of you.” - Peter Tork, Head (1968) commentary
