Fangoria issue #66 featured an interview with makeup artist Greg Cannom, and the cover photo gives us a pretty nasty look at the "holy water burns" makeup on Brooke, as well as an AMAZING tagline in "they're hot, they're sexy, they're undead!"
You can read the whole issue in their archives here:

A24 has released Beauty of the Beast, a “transformation manual” by special effects makeup artist Emily Schubert (Super Dark Times, Good Time). Priced at $44, the 8x11 book features an embossed gloss-laminated softcover.
It contains 180 pages of step-by-step instructions recreating for key looks, including alive, dead, young, old, bald, hairy, bony, and bloody; along with a primer on essential skills like creating a scar, removing tattoos, faking swat, covering pimples, applying a bald cap, applying a prosthetic; and more.

More than a makeup book, Beauty of the Beast is a transformation manual by special effects makeup artist Emily Schubert. Learn how to create a scar, remove a tattoo, and make someone look decades younger—or like a corpse. Based on Schubert’s years of experience in the film industry, this book is both a crash course in the world of SFX makeup and a portal into how you can manipulate the human face to tell a story.

Some of the wip of the making of my Eskel scars! This was my first ever time making any kind of FX makeup sculpt and I learned so much in process.
Sculpt - mold - cast - applied

The one minor hiccup is that I did not realize how sensitive the transfers are to being squished and so on the day of our actual shoot, after having been packed in a makeup bag all weekend, they were quite a bit less gnarly than my first makeup test!
Now I know for next time, and I still got some absolutely gorgeous photos courtesy of @electrospectrum

"...AND BY SLOW ARTS OF CRUELTY WERE CORRUPTED AND ENSLAVED; AND THUS DID MELKOR BREED THE HIDEOUS RACE OF THE ORCS..."
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on the many different types of orcs and orc makeup effects by Weta Workshop, all orc makeup iterations featured here can be found in Peter Jackson's first installment in the "Lord of the Rings" film Trilogy, "The Fellowship of the Ring" (2001). New Line Cinema.
"But of those unhappy ones who were ensnared by Melkor little is known of a certainty... Yet this is held true by the wise of Eressëa, that all those of the Quendi who came into the hands of Melkor, ere Utumno was broken, were put there in prison, and by slow arts of cruelty were corrupted and enslaved; and thus did Melkor breed the hideous race of the Orcs in eny and mockery of the Elves, of whom they were afterwards the bitterest foes. For the Orcs had life and multiplied after the manner of the Children of Ilúvatar... And deep in their dark hearts the Orcs loathed the Master whom they served in fear, the maker only of their misery..."
-- "The Silmarillion," "Quenta Silmarillion, III - Of the Coming of the Elves and the Captivity of Melkor," written by J.R.R. Tolkien

Keaton and Pfeiffer both in top form?
The symbolism of Bruce and Selina being the only people at a masquerade ball not wearing costumes?
The mistletoe callback and Pfeiffer’s heartbroken line delivery when Bruce puts 2 and 2 together?
Siouxsie & the Banshees going hard in the background?
Now that’s what I call cinéma!
