The pathetic men enjoyers on this site are absolutely SNOOZING on the potential of the works of George Bernard Shaw.
like, in his 1898 play Candida, he literally wrote a dude named Eugene who falls to the floor and cries at any inconvienience. it is his only problem solving strategy and it doesn't work at all. this boy is the embodiment of a scrungly kitten named Mayonnaise that was drop kicked into a creek.
Adaptions of Shaw's Pygmalion such as My Fair Lady simply cannot express the level of autistic boyfailure power possesed by original Henry Higgins.
and don't even get me Started on the dumbass named Adolphus Cusins who plays a big drum for the salvation army for no reason other than he is an absolute simp for Major Barbara.
now go and read some classic literature you freaks

Rex Harrison takes a selfie with Robert Morley, 1941
Jk it’s a scene from Major Barbara (Harrison’s touring Morley’s factory and looking at a furnace through a protective filter)

Robert Newton, Wendy Hiller, Robert Morley, Rex Harrison, and Emlyn Williams in Major Barbara (Gabriel Pascal, 1941) Cast: Wendy Hiller, Rex Harrison, Robert Morley, Robert Newton, Sybil Thorndike, Emlyn Williams, Marie Lohr, Penelope Dudley-Ward, Walter Hudd, David Tree, Deborah Kerr, Donald Calthrop, Marie Ault, Cathleen Cordell, Torin Thatcher, Miles Malleson, Felix Aylmer, Stanley Holloway. Screenplay: George Bernard Shaw, based on his play. Cinematography: Ronald Neame. Production design: Vincent Korda. Film editing: Charles Frend, David Lean. Music: William Walton. George Bernard Shaw's plays often seem to me as if they're about to collapse under the weight of their own cleverness: so many paradoxes, so much witty dialogue, such tantalizingly heretical ideas. Major Barbara is a prime example of this, a duel between faith and realism, between rich and poor, between capitalism and Fabian socialism, between men and women, all treated with the would-be drawing-room-comedy lightness of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, down to the climactic revelation that the play's ostensible hero is a "foundling" (a euphemism for "bastard"). But the film version slumps down into tedium because Shaw can't resist trying to make his characters, especially Barbara (wonderfully played by Wendy Hiller), into something like real people whenever he wants the audience to feel something instead of just laughing at the bright repartee. The film remains a three-act play, despite attempts to provide some scenes -- the initial meeting of Barbara and Adolphus Cusins (Rex Harrison being archly ardent), the fight between Bill Walker (Robert Newton) and Todger Fairmile (Torin Thatcher), Barbara's tossing her Salvation Army bonnet (and almost herself) into the Thames, and the tour of the hellish munitions factory and its heavenly benevolent-capitalist planned community -- in between the ones we would ordinarily see on stage. We are supposed to continue the dialogue of ideas among ourselves after the movie's over, but the effect of the two-hour-plus barrage of wit is to make me want to be stupid again. The film was rightly celebrated for the skill of its performers and for the tenacity with which it was filmed during the Blitz, but as a whole it's an achievement that hasn't stood the test of time.

Hey everyone, sorry that I haven't been very active lately, I've been mostly maining Twitter but I really want to stop using it after this stupid rebranding they're making, they're only doing it because they know people will continue using the platform, so I rather not use it entirely.
Anyways, here's drawings I made of Barbara Stringband, Crusty the Cat and Lil Queenie.

Welp. It's been fun but I gotta go to horny jail for about the next thousand years or so. Holy fuck.

Original video:
[And not to brag but yes I did get a flawless victory over him in that ridiculous Seasonal Tower in Invasions mode. Watch the whole thing if you want to find out how.]
Okay. It is horny hours.
They objectified the fuck outta this man in this fatality and honestly? Kudos.
This hit me in all the kinks at once. No trigger warnings past this point read at your own risk
On screen, the whole thing about Shang Tsung pouring pain-inducing liquid on Sub-Zero's chest reads like hot wax. It reads like overstimulation and forced climax. Omg his hips... the way Shang Tsung watches/monitors him almost gives the viewer permission and encouragement to do the same. It's as if Shang Tsung is telling us "I'm enjoying watching this man writhe and spurt and lose his mind. I'm enjoying it immensely, actually. There's no reason not to do so."
We get so many of Sub-Zero's expressions. That's the more intimate part - the part most often censored in any kind of porn is the man's face, as if it's illegal for them to display any kind of expressions. As if they might accidentally leak proof of an actual emotion, it is too taboo even in the realm of porn to show the guy's face. That's what makes this particular piece of art-violence unique: it's usually a woman cringing in fear and pain and dread at the brink of being devoured by a monster that is simultaneously a vagina dentata and also phallic. [See: Ripley, Aliens.]
So we get to see his face in part pain, part fear, part on the brink of death, all the way through a symbolic climax, until literally he's getting his mind blown. And it's kinda amazing.
As for the other kinks this scene is reminiscent of, I'm personally not a big fan of being tied down but exceptions can be made - I'm into it if he is. There's the dom/sub[-zero hah] element of Shang Tsung having autonomy while Sub-Zero can only watch and pray [he kinda mouths 'oh my god' - right? if you read lips, lmk]. Not into the power imbalance part but Shang Tsung's enjoyment of the situation itself is also kinda arousing.
The final bit is the blood/birth stuff. Skipping the mpreg stuff [Barbara Creed has all this covered in The Monstrous Femme, check it out from a library], the blood stuff is... well its a kink for some. For me there's only one week a month where seeing blood on his nose is acceptable 😝
And yea I'd still sit there if the enthusiasm was mutual. Damn snake beat me to it this time tho.

Pandora Peaks as Jeannie Jeannie in the May 1993 issue of JUGGS Magazine
Incredibly display of cultural-generational bimbo influence. Barbara Eden as Jeannie played one of the OG TV bimbos. As much of a bimbo a bimbo could be on prime time 60s television. She wasn't allowed to show her belly button and nothing sexual could even be implied to be going on between her and Major Nelson, but the character was obviously and ludicrously, horny as hell. Being largely a fish-out-of-water story Jeannie's "stupidity" could be attributed to, just that, being a fish out of water. But even after becoming re-accustomed to the human world Jeannie was an extremely gullible and generally reckless person. A lot of the show can be described as Jeannie being very horny and getting herself, and friends, into trouble.

Hi! Here's an interesting idea. What if James Sr had come back to town during the events of season one to cause trouble?
He is not a changeling or a supernatural creature. He's just a major class A jerk.
Not even the teams enemies would team up with him.
Oh, nice one! So James decides to come back soon after Jim has found the amulet. He contacts Barbara first, but she simply tells him their relationship is a thing of the past and she isn't going to revisit that page (it happens before she starts dating Strickler - James is just not someone she is willing to forgive). Enraged by the rejection, James decides to take away Jim from her - only to discover that he has no connection with his son. Jim is cold and distant to him, and all attempts to start a conversation fall flat. James gives his son some terrible dating advice regarding Claire (which makes Jim uncomfortable and disgusted as his father treats girls like trophies with no respect altogether). James also buys Jim Vespa for his sixteenth birthday, which is seemingly a working strategy, but in the end, Jim realizes that no expensive gift can compensate for all those years of absence so he gives it back (and that's why Jim's bond with Blinky works even more here). When Barbara starts actively dating Strickler, James tries to sabotage it, much to Barbara's annoyance.
James also gets in the way of Jim's trollhunting with his constant visits and nearly learns about trolls several times. Toby proposes to feed him to Bular several times.
However, the team Trollhunters isn't the only one annoyed. At some point, James tries to flirt with Nomura (who also is tempted to feed him to Bular). Strickler initially is rather neutral, but as his relationship with Barbara progresses, he makes plans to get rid of him for good. Eventually, Angor Rot scares James off (unintentionally as James stumbles upon him by accident and Angor decides to simply scare him to death).
He isn't seen afterward so everyone just assumes that he finally gave up. No one is sad.
