FELLOW EUROFANS! this is my only oportunity to talk about OT AND Eurovision so I have to post this video I just found about Eurovision songs in Operación Triunfo (updated until the 3rd week of OT 2023), if you have any questions i will be more than glad to answer them !!!!
Just in case it is a bit confusing as it is not in english, in the left you'll see the country and the year it went to eurovision, then it will say the song in the middle and below it the person who sung it in OT and when in the program (also the edition which is important to me personally), and in the left there's the position it got on ESC <3
youtube
#eurovision#esc#vivitalksot#this video was made for me and me exclusively#dime appearing twice... EXACTLY#our national anthem#i also love how much gisela appears throughout the video... she really was the moment#gisela lladó you'll always be famous (she was the voice of elsa in the castilian dub of frozen btw !!!! also represented andorra in esc)#I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR MANU GUIX SINGING A-BA-NI-BI THAT WAS A JUMPSCARE#he looked so young in that performance as well 😭😭😭😭#okay now we get to the good part the new ot (yes i'm using the tags to react live to the video don't mind me)#euphoria by thalía and miriam... literally history of spain i am not joking#nerea's performance of quédate conmigo was SO GOOD and SO CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED#i don't want to go on a rant but. nerea rodríguez is the msot underrated OT contestant and i will die on this hill#tu canción... i do not want to talk about it#famous singing nobody but you by cesar sampson... lives were changed that night#also the guy making the video is such a coward.... he should've played the beginning of the toy performance#with maría and marilia being slutty#speaking of REMEMBER WHEN MARILIA'S PERFORMANCE GOT AGE RESTRICTED#marilia who was the sweetest contestant ever. like she's the embodiment of a sugarcube#top 10 funniest things ever#la venda <3#I FORGOT ELENI FOUREIRA PERFORMED IN OT#RIGHT THEY DID SOLDI IN THE COVID THINGIES I FORGOT#btw!! they posted the full performance of dime in OT 2023 and you GOTTA SEE the beginning ruslana was hypnotic she was the best#Youtube

I love how they are giving Spanglish tutorials for writing and making a more realistic Miguel O'hara in fics.
And it's funny because they're right in saying that it's not just saying random words in Spanish, it's literally putting certain sentences and almost repeating the same thing but in English or more than repeating it is saying something else that reaffirms what you said in Spanish, if you want the other person to understand you well if they don't speak any Spanish at all.
But apart from that, the truth is that not much happens, obviously what will stand out the most in Spanish words and actually in anny kind of language are the expressions
If you are an English speaker but you moved to Mexico and now you speak Spanish almost all the time, the typical expressions that you used to say in the United States or wherever you come from will not go away so easily.
A good tip is to think in that way, if you were that character with a nationality or your parents are from another country and you speak that other language constantly, how would you speak? And what are the expressions you would still use un your language?
They handle that in the film in a decent way, because for example all the expressions that Miguel says in a sarcastic, desperate way and whispers to himself he says them in Spanish (giving you to understand that he is very familiar with the language in the sense of speaking it, so much so that he continues to use some phrases).
That unlike Miles who has a mother who speaks Spanish, he has spoken English all his life and although he is used to his mother's Puerto Rican Spanish (he understands her when she speaks some things) in reality he doesn't speak it, because he never had the need to speak spanish or to express himself with phrases in another language other than with his mother (if that were the case).
And considering Miles' mother, she speaks more fluent Splanglish and her accent is still quite thick, has anyone seen Sofia Vergara in Mother Family? She's literally Gloria
And here comes in also knowing the different expressions for the different Spanish speaking countries which would be almost the same as with American English and British English.
It is not the same to use expressions in Puerto Rican Spanish (which is what Miles' mother should use) to mexican expressions (which is what Miguel should use) to expressions in Spanish spain or other Spanish-speaking countries (which, as strange as it sounds, is what Miguel uses in the film and Miles uses in the short conversation he has with Miguel, calling him "tío")
And honestly it's not a complaint, because I adore Oscar Issac and maybe I understand a little bit about the accent and the words because my man is from Guatemala.
But again is not the same to say "automóvil" here in Mexico, the word means the same thing but here in Mexico we don't use that word much to refer to a car, we call it "carro".
There are words that do become common i'm diferente countries, but back to the expressions.
"Ay coño" is not a Mexican expression.
Yes in Latin America because is it used in other countries and in Spain, but here un México that word is used but almost nothing and not for the same, there are more expressions that are used in Mexico, that somehow I understand that it will not be used, I consider that the common Mexican expressions, the real ones, are very rude and vulgar, but that in some way characterizes us.
I was waiting for Miguel O'hara to say something stupid like "Me está llevando la chingada" (which means he's fed up with every situation and can't take it anymore) because it seemed that at some point the man couldn't take any more with a "mocoso" (brat).
Someone made a post with some expressions and words in Spanish, it is very good sincerely, I hope you see it, but if you want to enjoy a good movie in the dubbing is full of Mexicanisms, see Shrek in Latin American Spanish.
In the Hangover movie the dubbing uses expressions that would be used here in Mexico, if you want more rude expressions with the Spanish dubbing.
But remember that if you want to base it on a movie, all the dubbing should be Latin American which is the closest to Mexican expressions.
In fact that's a problem with Latin American dubbing, as it's mostly done here in Mexico they try to make it global for Latin America but they tend to put in a lot of Mexicanisms that are not understood in other countries but that kill us in mexico.

by any chance, would you be able to link me the different versions of tell your tale that got their voice actors replaced/are suspected could be using AI? i tried searching myself but for some reason wasnt very successful. it feels very likely to me that it could be AI considering how often hasbro/wotc has been in the news for such a thing lately.. thank you!!
At time of writing, "Icy Prints" has only been released in English, Arabic, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Malay, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Latin America), Swedish, Thai and Turkish, and today's episode "Heavy is the Mane that Wears the Fruit Crown" has only been released in English.
For the record, I'm not aware of any actual attempts to prove that the new voices are AI, and some dubs such as Thai already have some actual people confirmed to be working on them due to the staff members' social media posts, so I think it's more likely that all of the voice actors are still real people.
Also, here are the links to all of the official My Little Pony YouTube channels I'm aware of.
My Little Pony Official: English, Arabic, Cantonese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Lithuanian, Latvian, Malay, Mandarin (Taiwan), Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish (Latin America), Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Vietnamese
Tell Your Tale: English, French, German, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Latin America), Spanish (Spain)
Friendship Is Magic: English, French, German, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish (Latin America)
Equestria Girls: English, German, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Latin America)
Suspected to be run by Hasbro (English only): Flutter525, Izzy Moonbow🌙🦄, Letupita
Other (English only): Official Music Channel
Notes
Tell Your Tale episodes have never been released in Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian or Russian. The Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian channels have only uploaded short clips related to My Little Pony: A New Generation. The channels in Russian have been inactive since April 2022.
My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale Season 1 episodes 1–40 in Mandarin (China) and Portuguese (Portugal) are on Netflix only.
Some episodes of My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale Season 1 still haven't been released in some languages. In particular, several of them don't have episodes 57–70.
The Mandarin (Taiwan) channel uploaded "Icy Prints" with Simplified Chinese hardcoded subtitles, so the Mandarin dub of Season 2 was probably produced for a generic Chinese-speaking audience and not Taiwan specifically.

Hello and welcome to my Ted talk.
Today is 15 de Septiembre, the independence of Mexico (fuck the Spain)(notreally), that means one of the most important partys in all México. In honor of that I wanna talk about one of my favorites villans of rottmnt, Ghost Bear, and how his name is a lot better in the latin spanish dub than the original.
(Look at this stupid bear 💕)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, this guy is a luchador and I think I don't need to explain what a luchador is. However, I want to explain that luchadores have weird and comical names (as example 'El Mistico' -The Mistic-, 'Cibernetico' -Cibernetic-. You get it). So, Ghost Bear is a good name for a luchador.
Tumblr media
Well, in spanish his name is Fantasmoso. If you know some spanish, you may be seen how cool it is.
His name is a joke. A play of words.
Time for spanish class. In México and Latinamerica we like to grab the lenguage and use it as a toy. We create new words, use verbs in the incorrect way, use words in contexts that dont make sense, etc.
So, his name is actually two words into one that sounds like is just one.
First is Fantasma for Ghost
And Oso for Bear
So, Fantasm-Oso.
Now, here comes the part when we have fun. We tent to add suffix to words to make them more, cute or easy to understand, you could say.
We have, fantasm-ita -little ghost-, fantasm-ota -big ghost- AND fantasm-oso -bigger ghost-
And is so cool.
When we hear his name, we hear about a very big ghost, but also a bear, cause he is a bear. We hear a ghost that is a bear, a very big one. Is all his character in one word and is so funny.
Fanstasmoso stands for both, ghost and bear, but also the fact that he is a giant man. I like it so much 💕. And his voice actor is just -chef kiss-
Tumblr media
If you read until this, thank you for it. I want to rant a lot more about it, but is hard to write and express it good in another language.
Take all this photos of Fantasmoso as a gift.

The first time I saw Good Omens was in Spanish, because I'm from Spain and although I usually watch movies or series in original version, the dubbing was not so bad and quite funny. And as I loved it, I decided to watch it in original version and I ended up liking it much more, because well they are the voices of David Tennant and Michael Sheen, I don't need to say anything else.
But still there is one thing that I love a lot about the Spanish dubbing that I don't know if many fans know but in the Spanish version, Crowley not only calls Aziraphale 'angel', but he calls him 'angelito' most of the time and I find it so adorable.

Introduction post!
Basics
Hi!!!
My name is Kesar (or any other variant of the name Caesar is fine to call me!) and I am 14. I am neurodivergent. I am an Asian-European (India and Sweden!), Hindu, and my pronouns are he/they!
Interests and Likes
I have a hyperfixation/special interest (I don't know which to use because I'm in denial about being autistic LMAO) of the Mediterranean, mostly Italy and Spain but also France, Portugal, Egypt, Greece, etc!
Languages
Due to my interest, I have taught myself Italian all on my own and I study Spanish at school since 2020, so I can speak them both at a good level.
All of the languages I speak as well as some more info on my history with them:
Swedish, I speak it every day and a bit at home
Hindi, I speak it every day at home with my family, it's the language I have grown up with mostly.
English, I speak it here and I consume a lot of English media. Also I went to an international school for a couple of years.
Spanish, I've been learning it at school. Ever since I started learning it I've been the best in the class (this is very much a flex, I am very proud of the fact). I speak it at a very good level but I'm not close to fluent.
Italian, I am very proud of that I speak it because I learnt it all on my own using primarily music. I started learning it in 2021 but then took a LONG break for almost 2 years and in 2023 I got back on track and learnt it so well I'm almost at the same level at it as I am at Spanish hahaha
French, as I speak Spanish and Italian it wasn't that hard for me to get a grasp at French. I'm definitely not good at it and am best at written French, not spoken, but I understand enough to say I know it. Also, I can carry a conversation in French so. Yeah. I also really like Lupin.
Urdu, as I speak Hindi I understand Urdu well. Of course there are words I don't know, but since I understand so much of it and I speak it better than I speak Spanish or Italian I had to include it.
Music
My favourite song artists are Marco Mengoni and MIKA. They are my top 2. I love them so much.
I also listen to Mahmood, Måneskin, Queen, The Lonely Island, Lady Gaga, Kali Uchis, Megan Thee Stallion, Veronica Maggio, Shreya Ghoshal, and a lot more.
Apart from that I like English music from 2000 to the late 2010s. I also like Hindi music, rap (i listen to a LOT of Megan Thee Stallion, she's such a queen), Eurovision (although I am not supporting them this year due to them including Israel, Free Palestine🇵🇸), Hispanic music, Francophone music, Italian music and Swedish music. I also enjoy classical, both South Asian and European.
TV
I love TV! My favourites are dramedies. I like comedy a lot. My favourite type of show would be sitcoms because I understand them and I grew up with them and I like their humour. Here are TV shows I very, very strongly like in no particular order:
Brooklyn Nine Nine, Community, 1899, Mythic Quest, Lupin, Monk, and probably more that I just don't remember right now.
I have also watched a lot of other things, but this is all that comes to mind.
There are films that I really like, and most of them I have watched more than a few times. Like there were literally periods when I would just keep rewatching these:
The Kung Fu Panda film series, The Hotel Transylvania film series, The Lorax (specifically the Italian dub), The Shrek film series, and once again probably many more.
Other stuff I like:
Doraemon, Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse & Across The Spiderverse, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhaan (2020), Smiley (2022), Saiki K (TV series, I haven't been able to read the manga :/), etc.
Books
Mostly I read fact books, in middle school the librarian hated me for (metaphorically) eating up all the books on ancient Egypt, but I also have a few books I really like!
I love Rick Riordan. My favourite from him is definitely The Kane Chronicles but I also like PJO. I'm TKC all the way, though.
I also like Geronimo & Thea Stilton as well as Diary of a Wimpy Kid. They give me comfort.
I have a lot of queer books I bought for the sole reason of them being queer but I haven't read them yet hahahaha. I'm almost finished with Friday I'm In Love by Camryn Garrett!
Playlist time!
My Marco Mengoni playlist:
My Brad Bakshi playlist:
My Trobed playlist:
My Braddavid playlist:
That is all I can really come up with right now, but I will probably edit this soon! I'm not very good at stating what I like and all of that because I'm always scared I'm not telling everything or that people won't understand how I like it and stuff LMAO so don't be surprised if I take this post down :( I'm trying to get better though, so I'll keep it up!

Hello Vita!! I absolutely loved your headcanons with a partner from a different culture.
Being Spanish (Andalusian specifically, which is a exaggerated and stereotyped version of Spanish, hahaha), I think you nailed it with a Spanish and a Mexican as a couple. The accents are... aaaaaaaaah I love them, I don't know if you like the Spanish accent, but I really like Latin accents (by the way, did you know that the actor for Sanji is from the Canary Islands and in the Spanish dub he dubbed himself with a Canary Islands accent? so cute...).
And that idea of big families, that feeling of knowing the ingredients in a meal and thinking we control what we're going to eat but then... it's SUPER SPICY aaaaaaah!!!! water!!!!!, hahaha you made me laugh with that.
By the way, the fact of asking if we're pregnant I think is international! You also made me laugh with that!
I totally buy into the idea that Mihawk has a Spanish mom and a Romanian dad. Honestly, when I watched the live action without any prior knowledge of One Piece, I was blown away seeing that handsome character with that Spanish music in the background! The music fits so well with his aesthetics... and the cross on his chest... being Spanish, you may or may not be religious, but we can't deny that crosses are part of our culture.
By the way, I went to a show in France where a Frenchman fell in love with an Andalusian woman in the XVII century (a beautiful story), and the soundtrack was this. Specifically, starting from the minute I've shared with you, that instrumental part totally gives me the vibes of Ghost Rose and Mihawk, I hope you like it and it inspires you to write more about them!
Greetings from Sevilla! :D
Tumblr media
Hello, Jin!! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with me 🥰
Yesss, the accents 😚 It's always so much fun to hear all different spanish and latam accents. Ohhh, Taz Skylar's voice was 🫠 I started watching OPLA first on english but I switched to latam spanish pretty soon. Iñaki was sooo cute and they let him talk in mexican (there was a Chapulin Colorado reference!!!) and then ch 5 came and Sanji spoke... My god, his voice is so sexy... It's so rare to have this variety of accents in latam translations, they didn't even gave colombian accents to Encanto 🥺
Big families, salsas not-spicy (lie, they are), medium spicy and totally spicy, a wall full of crosses... That's some of the mexican package 😂 Pro tip: just water don't make the trick, drink milk to get rid of the spicyness in your mouth sooner. Horchata water do it too, there's a reason that's the beverage they would have by default at any restaurant, even street food.
I've been munching for the longest time about Mihawk's heritage with all the little information we have about him and the vibes he gives. If not for the crosses, including Yoru's shape, he would have been more musketeer alike, but the composers definetely felt the spanish vibe too and chose flamenco as his theme because of its intensity and passion. Their video here.
Ohh, I need to see that show and music! But the link is not connecting, like if it's broken or something 😢 Youtube links exclusively are giving me trouble today, share me the title of the play and I will watch it full!!!
I don't know if you were aware (I was told last year) but most of the spanish culture and people that migrated to latam during the colony centuries came from Andalusia! We were fed the most exaggerated and stereotyped version of Spain🤭 and don't make me start with all the MENA influences 🥰

Not-Jojo content for a hot minute! Let's talk about the Borderlands movie...
First things first, I don't know if you know this, but my nickname comes from Borderlands. Although now I only talk and draw about Jojo's, I'm still a big fan of the Borderlands games.
When I played the first game, I loved the concept about sirens, and it was back then when I started using my actual nickname (circa 2010). Then, when Borderlands 2 came out, I was obsessed with Handsome Jack. And when I say obsessed, I mean OBSESSED with huge and bold capital letters. I consider Borderlands 2 the best Borderlands game of them all, and The Pre-Sequel is a close one just because of my full Jack obsession, lol.
Keep reading for my opinion about the trailer...
I don't remember when they announced that they were making a Borderlands movie, maybe 2017-ish??? I was extremely excited, thinking that they would adapt the story of the games (back then, I think Borderlands 3 wasn't even announced, but they could have started as a trilogy...). I even fantasized about the idea of Dameon Clarke, Handsome Jack's VA in English, being Jack in the movie as well. But that dream was long gone when I read that the film would not exactly follow up the story we all know. And the wait to see something about this movie was LONG.
I finally watched the trailer when they released it, and even it's not the story I was hoping to see... I kinda like it. I didn't feel the hype I expected being a huge Borderlands fan, but I think I can still enjoy it. Some stuff from the movie feels off (like Roland's personality... he doesn't feel like Roland at all... and where are Lilith siren tattoos!?!?!?), but other stuff feels total in the style of Borderlands (people bullying Claptrap in some way is a must). The movie has its flaws, but people on Reddit keep bitching about Lilith and Tannis being too old, Roland being too short... ugh, I don't fucking care about the cast not being aesthetically perfect (but I admit that I would have liked them to). If the actors and actresses do a good job interpreting their characters and the story fits the Borderlands' universe with good humor and action, I'll consider myself lucky.
That was my impression of the trailer in English, but I'm from Spain, so the next day I watched the trailer again, but dubbed in Spanish, and... it felt way funnier! At least Tina's phrases sounded funnier for me (instead of saying "it's in my mouth!" she says "I swallowed it" lmao), and some voices suit the characters better than the original ones. Usually, it's the other way around, lol!
I think the localization will improve the movie for me, and that gives me some hope to enjoy the movie besides all the bitching on Reddit. Seriously, guys, stop complaining about people's bodies... there are other things to be criticized...
To try to introduce myself into the mood, maybe I'll do a redraw of an old Borderlands fanart... it'll be coming soon!

OC Files: White Bull; or EL TORO BLANCO
It is March already; almost a year since this blog started. Figured it was time to finally go to the point and do things I've been holding on for a long time already. Here goes nothing, I guess...
...
When Red Matador (Or locally, Matador Rojo*) was formed, it was obvious that there'd be some controversy. Not everybody was fond of bullfighting being the face of a youth soccer team, and one that even represented Spain aganist the world. Complains both online, written and on TV were made, but nothing seemed enough to do any change. The team still would proceed like normal, and so did the resigned country during the Euroleague. However -and with the start of the FFI-, let's just say somebody decided to protest this... In a very different way.
Tumblr media
Meet the White Bull, or in its original language, El Toro Blanco. A mysterious figure that started to appear itself to the Red Matador players. It's style is quite interesting, with clothes that resemble a mix of the "traje de luz" (Matador uniform) yet with some curious modifications, to the point it resembled something entirely different. However, the most notorious part of its design is the huge bull mask it wears, covering completely its face and hair.
Don't let such elegant attire and mysterious looks fool you, this dancer is actually also quite good at soccer. And nothing has proved it better than its first encounters with RM, in which he completely swept the floor with the captain and his two buddies. And the moment information about him leaked to the public; feel free to guess how the media reacted to this. Needless to say, nor Querardo, nor the coach, nor -almost everyone- at the spanish team are really fond of him. To make things even worse, Toro Blanco seems to be clear set with their objective: To prove the world how weak a matador truly is.
...Things didn't seem to look so bright for this team with that dancer around, at least on the Qualifications time. However, as the FFI progressed and Spain got stronger, soon they started to find few ways to counter Toro Blanco (I'd like to say with the use of Matador Feint, but... No, that causes them to react in a different way). Other point was to discover his many weaknesses, such as its limited vision field in distance (Proved by their horrible shots), or his dislike of bright lights. With the power gap between RM and TB decreasing eventually, at least their relationship did grow for the better. Toro was seen less of a nuisance, but more instead of as a rival to grow alongside.
But no matter if its in Madrid or Liocott, one thing is still unanswered.
Who is under the mask?
Tumblr media
----
(*That's regarding the original name. On the dub universe the actual team would be "Matadores Rojos", which leads to the shortened version "Los Rojos" that everyone uses instead.)

WISH "this Wish" SONG SPAIN VERSION WHAT IS THIS? WONDERFUL ¡Ole! ese acento( testimony of someone with roots in Andalusia and its surroundings).
Continuing with the matter of Wish, I am always going to say what I see wrong or right, ALWAYS, SO WHEN THINGS ARE DONE WRONG I SAY THEM, NO MATTER WHAT IT IS AND WITHOUT DISCRIMINATING ANYTHING, WHEN SOMETHING IS DONE RIGHT I SAY IT, SO WELL, I'LL TELL YOU.
Tumblr media
MUSIC AND SONGS
MUSIC IS SOMETHING CRUCIAL, and if you are going to do it from a period or at least from a country with a certain accent and tradition, it must have that, both in voice, sound, and instruments that accompany it.
With WISH I agree yes and no, so let's go in parts before addressing the topic of my main title, which is the wish song in Spanish version and its singer. On the one hand I agree with his music and his songs, it is SPECTACULAR WITH THE CASTANETS IN THE BACKGROUND, IT IS AMAZING and honestly it is very faithful to the time, culture and country it deals with. 3 songs have been released."this wish" (which is the main song)
youtube
welcome to de rosas (which amazes me, I've been singing it all the time hahaha)
youtube
and the song from the magnificent king, This Is The Thanks I Get?! (which I also love)
youtube
Now, although it is true that the villain's theme does not have that touch, like the other themes, it is good because the most important thing is the MAIN song, THE ONE THAT DEFINES, THE ONE THAT MARKS THE MAIN STORY and above all, the most important thing is the that OUR PROTAGONIST SINGS, is well done, but, or at least you can identify it, because it is approaching, but, but, here is the but, once again we return to Disney, it is Disney.
I say, so much effort that hundreds of GIRLS put into MOANA! quite a few according to DISNEY, DUDE, from people who were from Hawaii and its surroundings, and they came up with the perfect candidate, Auliʻi Cravalho.
FOR this, THE ACCENT IS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE RESPECTED AND EVEN HIGHLIGHTED, And if not (well, if there are no resources) something that is close and you can recognize, because you are representing a COUNTRY or island with certain language, customs and culture. YOU CAN NOTICE IT IN THIS GIRL, WHICH IS WONDERFUL, WORK AND RESEARCH, ENCANTO THE SAME, WORK AND RESEARCH, COCO, MEXICAN CULTURE, MORE OF THE SAME. COULD YOU NOT DO THIS WITH WISH? Well no.
Tumblr media
The woman who dubs ASHA and sings is ARIANA DEBOSE,
Tumblr media
this woman sings SPECTACULAR, I think she IS even the winner of several awards, she is FROM NORTH CAROLINA, and has African American and Italian roots, but also from Puerto Rico due to her father . Now, I don't know where her mother is from, because she doesn't say it, but she is white.
Tumblr media
Look, I'll show you where she is from so you can see that there is no indiscrimination, she DOES NOT HAVE THE ACCENT THAT THESE PEOPLE AND THEIR SURROUNDINGS SHOULD HAVE, she does not have the MARKED ACCENT.
I'm not saying that it's not good, it certainly is, but it is not suitable for singing this type of songs with that accent and culture, since they have a characteristic accent. Yeah? Well, there will be people who will say that I am bad, racist, etc..., when it is not done well, it is not done well and it does not matter where you are, IT DOESN'T HAVE THE ACCENT, THEREFORE IT IS NOT WELL REPRESENTED, BUT I DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT NOTHING AT ALL, Couldn't they choose someone with an Andalusian or Córdoba accent? By the way, THE MOSQUE OF CORDOBA IS WHAT THEY HAVE BASED ON TO BE PART OF THE ARCHITECTURE OF ROSAS, SO WITH MORE REASON, WOULD YOU LIKE? to someone who does speak and pronounce Spanish well but DOES NOT HAVE A REALLY MARKED ACCENT? Well, they will still say that I am cruel, racist and blah blah blah.
Well, I am happy to know that in SPAIN WE HAVE SOMEONE WHO DOES IT JUSTICE, I PRESENT HER TO YOU, SHE IS Ana Guerra, She is from TENERIFE, SHE HAS AN ACCENT THAT IS CLOSER TO WHAT THESE SONGS SHOULD BE SING.
"She has been the winner of OT, a very good singing competition in Spain, something similar to GOT TALENT"
Listen to how this woman sings, THE STRONG ACCENT SHE HAS, IT'S A SHAME THAT SHE DOESN'T DUBBLE, BECAUSE IF THE ONE WHO DUBBED ASHA IN SPAIN WAS HER, IT WOULD BE PERFECT, but that's not the case, since in Spain, the theme of dubbing does not work like in the UNITED STATES.
youtube
Now, I don't know if she is going to sing all the songs that Asha sings, and I was thinking about the song at the beginning, Welcome to Rosas. You have seen how Asha dances, the turns she does, that way of dancing she has, That is so typical of those regions but with this voice it would simply be the perfect mix, imagine for a moment the Welcome to Rosa song with this voice and you will feel like dancing and playing castanets, that IS quite representative of SPAIN, ANDALUSIA , AND ALL ITS NEAREST REGIONS, but I don't know if it will be like that in the end (we'll see as more trailers for the movie come out in Spain)
youtube
"Here you can hear when he speaks what accent he has, you don't need to understand anything if you don't know Spanish, just listen"
WAS IT SO DIFFICULT? I TOLD YOU, IN SPAIN, ANDALUSIA AND GRAN CANARIAS WE HAVE INCREDIBLE VOICES, but not Disney, I chose that woman because she is from the roots that she is, convenience, they have not had respect, what do you want me to tell you (it is not enough to just speak fluent Spanish, It is more than that because the Spanish of Colombia is not the same as that spoken in Córdoba or Mexico, all of this is defined by the accent)
NOW SPAIN AND ITS SURROUNDINGS CAN FINALLY SHOW OFF, BECAUSE WHAT IS THE PHYSICAL OF ASHA AND HER DUBBING AND ORIGINAL SINGER, I ALREADY TELL YOU NO.
I mean, this is for me the most faithful thing to what Disney is TRYING TO REPRESENT with this movie after the customs, the songs and OF COURSE SCULPTURE AND ARCHITECTURE.
The lack of respect towards the people of this country, islands and its surroundings.
Tumblr media
I'm almost sure that then people will come and say:
"boo, you don't love Ariana or ASHA", "you're a racist", "it doesn't matter if it's Disney", "it's fantasy" "why do you care so much?" "black people deserve prominence" "YOU DON'T LIKE BLACK PEOPLE" etc. etc etc
Well, look, it matters for two reasons, 1 I am part of THAT REGION AND 2 because they themselves (Disney) have said location, era and they have not respected that, they have made a mix and have added what suited them, I have roots in Andalusia , and I have been living there for a short time, this is not bad. IT IS FATAL and (and I am being very soft, because there are people who have been born and raised in these regions all their lives and don't you see, everything is terrible, I at least see the certain inspiration in the music to save something haha) I think that The people of these regions are taking it very calmly, because I have seen shit of this type or even worse, and the people of those regions see us, imagine if it were the other way around in, for example, Africa or New Orleans, ahh !! Be careful, right? to defend that to the death, then how about they make a history of the people who criticize us and change them and their race or ethnicity? What about that? Not annoying, but criticizing us, right? We are bad, we are racist... I believe that if you are from a certain place, no matter how much fantasy you have wanted to be represented well, there is no study or research here.
That's fine!!, with the lack of respect towards our person, which is that I have taught this to people from Morocco and others and the first thing they thought is: is she Afro-Latin? They haven't even said that she is African-American, so you can see the mess there is, after telling them the truth they have freaked out, because not even by feature, in nose, mouth... and dubbing let's not even talk about it and what can you tell me about Dhalia , pufff my mother.
Tumblr media
Dhalia, Asha's friend, has an air of Chinese or at least Asian culture. ASIA SINCE WHEN?! Because I understand that there is a mix, but not ALL CULTURES ARE THERE, HISTORICALLY THE ASIAN SHOULD NOT BE, of course! "As it is a tribute to Disney movies, well of course we have to put the Asian one in because let's remember that there are movies from that culture, Raya, Mulan, Big Hero 6 etc...and along the way we add diversity, and with that we justify it", AJJA It's enough for Disney, well then, don't take culture, aesthetics inspired by such, don't locate the history, don't say that Asha from Al-Andalus (name given by the Muslims to the Iberian Peninsula, Muslims!!) Make it all up, you know, either ONE or THE OTHER, we can both because then historical inconsistencies like this occur, which is that today I remember being in Cádiz and not seeing a single Asian, and this is today! !, Disney does not care about Spain, nor its culture, nor its history, it is a reality.
Now it will turn out that an American or someone from the United States or from other places who IS NOT FROM THE IBERIAN PENINSULA, will know more than a Spaniard or Moroccan or someone from Jaén or Córdoba, who were born and raised there! and they have ancestors from those places!! oh really? HOW PEOPLE GO.
Tumblr media
SO THIS IS SIMPLE, WHEN IT IS DONE WELL IT IS DONE WELL WHEN IT IS DONE WRONG IT IS DONE WRONG, PERIOD. THIS IS CONVENIENCE, AND AGENDA 2030.
Thanks for reading, a hug and see you.

So, we never got to know who are the voice actors in Black & Bruised. I mean, I get why they probably didn't want to be credited or maybe the devs were lazy like they were with some of the background characters designs. So, it had me thinking. If somehow by some miracle we got a remake, sequel, whatevs, they would probably do what Punch-Out!! and Tekken does where they cast VAs to voice their characters in their native language. Here are some VO claims + headcanons I made for my main faves who are also boyfriends plus Dolcita.
Matador
Tumblr media
Matador, my headcanon full name for him is Emilio Domínguez Reina.
It was either Julio or Emilio but I wanted to be unique and went with the latter. Domínguez, I picked this as his surname because...It's actually Antonio Banderas' real paternal surname. A little homage. And Reina...I just like it plus it's a common surname in Spain.
Other headcanons I have, he is 27, bisexual and has somewhat of a rivalry with Don Flamenco. He initially had a rivalry/frenemy like relationship with Luchador until the two fell for each other and eventually started dating.
I can see him being voiced by Spanish voice actor Antonio Fernández Muñoz. He is one of my favorite Spain Spanish dub VAs. While I don't watch One Piece, I have heard of his voice work in this and love his voice for Mihawk. That is how I picture Matador sounding. He sounds a bit like the OG.
youtube
El Luchador
Tumblr media
OK, El Luchador, my headcanon name for him is...Arturo Guzmán Moreno.
Arturo...I just like the name. His surnames I based it off luchadores El Santo (his real name being Rodolfo Guzmán Huerta) and Blue Demon, using his second surname (Alejandro Muñoz Moreno)
Other headcanons I have, he is 28 and pansexual. Initially had a rivalry/frenemy like relationship with Matador until the two developed feelings for each other and eventually started dating.
Luchy (hehe my nickname for him) I can see being voiced by Mexican voice actor Gerardo García. While he is usually the habitual voice for Adam Sandler in Latin America Spanish dubs, I imagine his Roger voice from the LatAm Spanish dub of American Dad as to how I picture Luchy sounding.
youtube
Dolcita
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, I'm giving Matador's ex who in the game is just a Jumpin' Janet recolor (on the left) and doesn't speak not only a makeover (the picrew on the right) but some headcanons and a voice.
Her full name is Dolores González Pérez. Dolcita is one of her nicknames and mainly referred to that as well as "Dolly". She is Argentine. She is 24, also bisexual, and as stated, she is Matador's ex. After her breakup with Matador, she briefly dated Carmen (yes, Don Flamenco's girl). Out of her relationships, hers with Carmen was one of the healthiest she's been in and although they split, it was amicable and the ladies remain friends.
And since I headcanon her to be Argentine, I went with an Argentine voice actress for her, Luciana Falcón. You can listen to some voice samples here.

Guess who's bored again and procrastinating on starting her summer school work? ME! :D
So, since it's Pride month, let's do some LGBTQ+ headcannons!
France: I bounce between Bi or Pan for him. Depends on my mood, I guess, lol.
Spain: Pan
America: Bi Demisexual
Canada: AroAce Nonbinary (they/them) (purely based off vibes)
China: Trans FtM (both the voice actors for China in the sub and dub are women) and Gay Twink
Germany: Gay AF Gym Bunny. Have you met this man?! I don't think he showed a single interest in women, like, ONCE in the manga or anime!
Prussia: Closeted Bi (surprisingly, he doesn't like to admit it a lot, which confuses the f*ck out of his brother since he is boastful about most things)
Finland: Gay Otter
Italy: Bi
Romano: Omnisexual (préférence towards women)
Taiwan: Bi
Vietnam: Lesbian
Monaco: Lesbian
Japan: Asexual Demiboy (he/they)
Austria: Bi (damn so many bi bitches in this post lmao)
Cuba: Gay Bear
Aaaaand I think that's everyone! Let me know if I missed anything that you would like to see. Cheers!

when did you start watching the anime (also how/why)
and how many episodes do you watch per day to go that fast??? (im asking because im genuinely impressed)
It's a funny story, I think-
Basically, I was hanging out months ago (like, the start of this year?? End of last year?? I think??) with my brother and his friend at his friend's house and they were like "Oh! What if we watch One Piece? The first episode, cmon, Robin!" and I was like: "Fuck, no. Shit's too long. Not watching all that. I'm sure it's cool and you two love it but I'm sooo not getting into this". But then they wouldn't stop insisting and the show started playing out of nowhere and, like, I just wanted to eat my salad so I guess I just didn't care if they made me watch a few episodes. The salad was really good, btw.
Anyway: I watched the first two episodes and I kind of?? Fell in love?? With everything about it??? Luffy was so charming and early OP is amazingly beautiful in all the ways. I kind of miss the energy, honestly, sometimes. But I loved it. I laughed. And I was like "Oh, okay. This is good. I'm probably not watching the rest because there are a lot of episodes but, like, cool show, guys!"
Spoiler: I did watch the rest.
But I didn't watch more until February. I was on my period and when I'm on my period I get really, really sick and I feel like shit in general. And I wanted to watch something to distract myself from that torture. So I asked my brother where he watched the show in Catalan (here in Spain/Catalonia it's also dubbed in Catalan and let me tell you, it's one of the best dubs I've seen. It's SO good) and I started watching it for real then.
The thing is, I was really, really slow watching the show because I was studying at the time and I could only watch at night sometimes and in between classes or whenever the teacher wasn't in class (or, you know, I just did it without the teachers noticing. The hyperfixation was growing). Besides, I started talking to my brother's friend more and more and more (now he's kind of like my best friend??? What the fuck lmao) and I literally told him every fucking thing that happened so, yeah, I wasn't quick watching the anime at the time. I would've probably caught up by now if it wasn't because I didn't have much time to watch it then.
Then I started Arabasta, and ever since, me and my friend have been watching the show together on Discord (I started watching it in Japanese and subbed, then). We watch the show every single night (except when we're busy, but it doesn't happen often) and we usually watch, like, 6-10 episodes every day. That's the average amount, but we've pulled all-nighters before when we've watched like 20 episodes during the night (we watched Marineford like that and we kind of did that too with WCI).
I think I don't go THAT fast tbh I could watch more every day if it wasn't because I watch the show with him only because it's sort of an 'us' thing. Now I'm on episode 1015, so I guess I'll catch up with the anime soon! Then I'll catch up with the manga and then I'll cry because I'll have to wait for episodes/chapters every week. What a torture.
TL;DR: I started watching in February, because my friend and my brother told me to and I fell in love with the show, and I watch 6-10 episodes every day unless I'm busy or I pull an all-nighter.
Fun fact: I watched the Baratie arc exactly on Sanji's birthday this year. I think he was truly meant to be my favorite character.
Oh, and the only reason I wasn't online commenting on my experience watching it before is because I physically stopped myself from looking for content because I didn't want to get spoiled. When I got to post-time skip, I created this side blog!! So, if you want a lil bit of a timeline: Started watching in February, got to post-timeskip in September when I created this blog (so 516 episodes in kind of half a year) and now I'm on episode 1015 (so 499 episodes in three months). I think it's pretty obvious that I'm not studying anymore and I'm just working 20 hours a week, huh.
