Bonded

- 4th year and Harry’s name comes out of the Goblet of Fire, marking him as an adult.

- this triggers a sleeping bloodline in him and inheritance from generations back, as Harry’s magic pretty much has a panic attack, as holding a lordship for any one family takes power, and harry has been ( as yet unclaimed, thanks for not telling Dumbledore) heir to several houses (potter, black, Gryffindor, Peverell (death is watching and waiting), and now he’s lord of many of them which is a massive strain, so his magic is ready to grab anything.

- not only was one of his ancestors a dragon, but with the lordship of Gryffindor as his, comes a certain link to Hogwarts which is a bigger strain, as Dumbledore has let many of the castles wards and the rituals that would support the castle go, so his magic also searches for more and more, and hey, did you now marriage contracts and various magical bonds can help boost/support ones magic?

- needless to say, Harry doesn’t even get to meet his fellow competitors, as he gets knocked unconscious (his magic has decided that until things stabilize consciousness is not a necessary function).

- the goblins (who have been impatiently waiting for the young potter to do anything with his known vaults), are very, very done with this and send a representative to Hogwarts who is not going to be brushed off by Dumbledore...

- many families over the centuries have promised future marriages between them, such potential contracts have fallen to the wayside for various reasons and with his connection to so very many families, a lot of potential contracts have just been activated by his magic.

- harry eventually wakes up in St. Mungo’s having been removed from Hogwarts temporarily by the Goblins until “Lord Potter can be made aware of all the pertinent details of his life” and as “adulthood” has made Harry no longer under Albus Dumbledore’s auspices.

- harry also doesn't know what to do with the, no other way to put it, crowd of spouses and the menagerie of familiars. The magical strain had been so great, partly due to his age, and that he'd had a partial binding on his magic, he hadn't come even in to his full adult magic. (When the healers realized that although harry needed the stabilization of marriage that he could support the power drain now at all was terrifying).

- Hannah just sent harry a “hope you’ll be alright cake” (she still felt guilty how she and her house had treated harry in second year). Harry’s magic, looking over any marriage options like a miserly book keeper, latched onto it as a “betrothal gift” and within hours of baking the cake, Hannah found herself at St. Mungo’s seated by Harry's bedside, a signed marriage contract submitted to the ministry. It might have been abrupt, but Hannah was a pureblood and had always expected an arranged marriage (not quite this way but...) so wrapping her mind around it wasn’t hard at least. (her mother promised her a lovely wedding later) and considering the drain on her magic from just being “Presumptive Lady Potter”, she understood why the need was so great. (i had been impressed upon her that no consummation on the marriage was necessary (and really, they were 14 so not likely anyways), her and Harry's thumbs had been sliced under the watchful gaze of Harry’s Goblin guard and Hannah’s willingness and Harry’s need combined to solidify the marriage bond.

- When Daphne Greengrass is the next through the door, Hannah tries not to feel...a bit possessive over Harry (she’s 14 and he’s her husband now, whether he was conscious for it or not) but considering the pressure of the family magic that she’s feeling from just the potter’s, it’s no wonder another marriage contract has been required. Daphne curtsies formally to her, and re-introduces herself as “Daphne Black, Presumptive Lady Black” all Hannah’s training in etiquette have her nodding and offering her a seat. (she does inwardly roll her eyes that there is even (common) training for a multi-partner marriage).

- Daphne herself is...pleased with the way things are going, granted she’d been trying to aim her dad towards offering harry a betrothal contract, not full on marrying the boy to partly save his life, and because the blacks, a few centuries back had an outstanding request for a marriage between them and the Greengrass’s that had simply never been fulfilled. She walks forward, at Hannah’s nod, and pulls out the ceremonial dagger, slicing her own thumb, then Harry’s and pressing them together. Hannah has to catch her when the Black family magic hits, and Harry is only the Heir to the family!... though his color looks a bit better, and Hannah, wonderful girl that she is, performs a quick episkey on Daphne and Harry's still bleeding thumbs.

- She’s been eyeing Harry, and ignoring Malfoy and really, more Weasley’s fight with him than Harry’s (Harry just seemed to have zero patience for Malfoy, while Weasley is at least willing to apologize for things and admit he’s wrong). She’d seen Harry once, last year, help a Slytherin first year out of a trick step. No fuss, just helped. (Considering Slytherin students are both raised to near worship harry, for his potential power, and to be prepped to hate him, Daphne isn’t surprised the kid ended up with a crush. As her own families politics were more neutral, Daphne simply filed the information away...though the smile he gave the kid was...very sweet.)

- During all this Harry’s not actually been “asleep” or his body is, but him mind has been pulled into his center. He’s not quite certain what is going on, one minute he’s being told by Dumbledore he has to compete and reluctantly accepting it, the next he’s in a room with a glowing orb in the middle. He’s heard the teachers (and Hermione) talk about magical cores and he’s pretty sure that’s his. the problem is the color? stuff? something falling on it and covering it, he’s pretty sure that’s not good. He can see where the “colors” had originally started to gently swirl with his core, but there’s to much of them. He looks around, wondering if he can do anything, when a shelf sort of appears, it have various things on it, and the one he’s drawn too first is a green scaled egg. He pulls the egg off the shelf, wondering what it’s even going to do, when it hatches in his hands. The small green dragon chirrups and flies up to his core, harry realizes it’s nearly the same color as his core and as it perches on it, it seems to slow the other colors down, not enough, but some, and his core seems to take on a fate scale like sheen to it.

- Harry races back to the shelf and starts running his fingers over things searching. A cake suddenly appears, along with a golden sting and when harry selects those, the string unwinds, at first nothing happens then, (time is weird here, but he thinks time has passed) the string glows brighter, and then it’s attached to his core, and one of the colors, a russet red that reminds him of clay, moves a small amount of itself along the string, taking some of the burden. Harry hasn’t the vaguest idea what this implies, but he’s running back to the shelf, and looking at various spools, most old and dust covered, but there for the taking apparently. He doesn’t want to down in those colors.

- since we all love giving harry a snake familiar... let’s say while he’s mostly finding strings that lead to potential marriage contracts, he finds some smaller ones too. (not possibly so I can share some of my favorite animals...nope)

- one turns into a long snake tan snake with darker stripes and a head that looks like it was dipped into an ink pot when he picks it up, it says “hello” gently, before slithering off to his core and joining the dragon, which has been growing steadily larger as “time” goes on.

- around the dragon now are small lights that the larger “threads” he’s been finding feed into out from his core, the dragon seems pleased with each new addition.

- the next spool harry grabs is one of the large ones again, with the “thread” a lovely springy green color, and results in some of the black color running along it, and a second orb appearing next to the dragon, who scoots in with a wing to be next to the golden yellow orb that had some of the russet color.

- Harry’s worried though, the next color, a steel grey seems.. bigger? It gives off a certain impression and Harry is pretty sure he’d just drown one of those smaller orbs with it, so he grabs two spools, one a beautiful silvery glow, with a faint rainbow sheen and another, though it’s from a different shelf, it glows, but also... doesn’t? it switches between a nice warm brown glow to almost looking as though it’s spun from brown fur...

- Luna Lovegood’s arrival to Harry’s hospital room is... not unexpected but still a but odd, Daphne and Hannah are both fairly certain that Lovegood’s aren’t anywhere near traditional and yet Luna seems to be very calm in her appearance. (Daphne is beginning to hope harry likes blondes...) but she doesn’t go to Harry just yet, “I need a wolf first, she says dreamily, can’t be a moon without a wolf.” Which doesn’t make sense until a very, very awkward looking Professor Lupin comes in.

- Remus had always felt a pull toward Harry, when he’d met and even babysat the boy as a toddler he’d just assumed it was a natural familial feeling. A need to guard a cub. It was actually when he’d tried to visit the boy later, when he thought he could face the child, and Dumbledore stopped him, and he felt his wolf try to shred it’s way out to remove the obstacle, full moon or no, that he had second thoughts.

- Actually spending time with young Harry confirmed there was something, and amorphous something, a pull toward the boy. Thankfully it was not sexual (he’d have tenured his resignation then and there) but he finally made himself look it up (he hated researching werewolves), and nearly did give his resignation. Apparently werewolves... got “mates” as it were. the pull he felt, was the “potential” of Harry being his future mate. He’d planned to try to hang out with Harry, talk about Harry’s parents and such with the boy, but with this knowledge, he’d stuck to helping him with his Patronus and tried to keep distant.

- So when he’d heard of Harry’s collapse and that old family marriage contracts were being pulled from the various family vaults and Gringotts was sending them out as they appeared, he waited with trepidation, and a tiny bit of hope, and then he felt it, the faint pull became an all out tug and he gave in, if this thing, his being a wolf could actually help Harry (and maybe give Remus somewhere to belong) then giving in was okay...right?

- Seeing young Miss Lovegood blatantly waiting for him made him pause, and bark out a small laugh. Of course, how would this odd bond not involve a girl named for the moon?

- they both cut their thumbs and Harry's, then with Hannah’s help, pressed their bleeding fingers to Harry’s side by side.

- as soon as the pressure from the family magic of whichever one hit, Remus understood why it had needed two. If it had been he or Luna alone they’d have been comatose if not dead, and this was the “spouse” bleed over.

- Luna smiled as the magic settled, before turning to Hannah, who was the “head wife” and curtsied as though she’d been doing it her whole life “I am Lady Luna Peverell, and this, she waved to a paler than usual looking Remus, is Lord Remus Peverell.”

- Remus bemusedly thought that of course Harry was descended from the famed and mythologized Peverells...of course.

- one of the odder moments in a very, very weird experience is when he picks up one of the smaller spools, that he’s starting to think are for potential familiars is when it turns into the fluffiest bunny he has ever seen. Just a beige ball of fluff that cuddles it’s head against his hand briefly before hopping off to join the dragon, orbs, and snake atop his magical core.

- for those in the physical world, Harry’s new dragon side was hidden, only faint scales popping up near his joints belied his nifty new creature heritage. His new familiars however were not hidden, Hannah and Daphne had both been startled when the snake appeared and then a bunny of all things. (Lupin was there by then and felt his wolf sniff in interest at the bunny before logging it as “not for eating” thankfully. )

- another of the “smaller” spools caught Harry’s attention and when he picked it up, began to grow and grow until a horse with the longest mane ever appeared. It gentle snuffled at his face, and Harry found himself patting it’s neck. Then it reared it’s dark and dappled body and once again joined the others at his core.

- no one in the waking world was prepared for a horse appearing out of nowhere. Well, except possibly Luna, who offered the horse an apple from her bag.

OKAY DESI HARRY POTTER FANS LISTEN!

I suddenly have this idea of a Mohabbatein retailing or rather inspired fanfiction of the Golden trio but slightly (A LOT) different.

Ofcourse we have good old Dumbledore as headmaster Narayan Shankar.

Ms. Monica? No, Ms. Mcgonagall.

Then we can have Harry as Karan, Ron as Vicky and our boy Neville as Sameer.

For the girls – Ginny as Sanjana, Hermione as Ishika and Hannah as Kiran.

— The idea of Neville and Hannah being childhood friend and him being in love with her is just so sweet.

— Whoever was Kiran's boyfriend (Deepak ig forgot his name) can be Draco. Because that guy was shitty and I don't like Draco.

— And Ron and Hermione just gave those same rivals to lovers vibes ngl.

— Harry falling in love with Gin not knowing who she was is top tier for me. (Her dead husband is Dean. Yeah...)

Also James Potter as Raj Aryan Malhotra and Lily Evans as Megha. (Don't ask me how Harry doesn't know him cuz this is an AU)

OR WE CAN HAVE THE ENTIRE THING IN MARAUDERS EDITION!!

Movie night with Rhett Abbott headcannons (Rhett Abbott x Reader)

Movie night as practically a must with you and Rhett. There’s no compromise unless something comes up. Friday nights and weekends are strictly reserved for movie night

As soon as he’s done in the field, showered and eaten dinner, the kids get their baths done and then it’s down to the basement

And you’d better believe that the babies are excited for it. They’re grabbing their blankies, their stuffies and a pillow off their beds before they head down to the basement to set up their spots

Amy’s almost always the first one downstairs, she’ll take one of the rocking recliners and put the footrest up to turn it into a little bed

You and Rhett have one end of the big sectional and when Royal and Cecelia join most nights, they’ll take the other end. The rest of the kids usually sprawl out in weird places

Some of the movies you’ve watched though are what make the night worth it

Your boys always love The Empire Strikes Back. Royal still had an old VHS copy that he, John Dutton, Thomas Rainwater and Mo all used to watch when they were at community college together. It still has the old masking tape label over it and it still works (lol)

Cecelia grew up with some of the old school live action Disney films. Johnny Tremain, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea and Darby O’Gill and The Little People were always her favorites

Royal’s top picks include all the old James Bond movies, but he also loves the black and white movies from the ‘30s like Dracula, Frankenstein and The Mummy. The Mel Brooks comedies are his biggest picks though. The first time you watched Young Frankenstein and Dracula: Dead and Loving It, you laughed your asses off for hours

Rhett is the biggest movie nerd you’ve ever met out of all the Abbotts

The Goonies, Indiana Jones, Legend, Lord of The Rings, Time Bandits, the original Star Wars movies, Harry Potter, you name it, he’s watched it

He has amazing memories of Indiana Jones which is why it’s his favorite. When he was little, Royal spoiled him for his fifth birthday and took him to an outdoor theater where Raiders of The Lost Ark was playing. They saved up for a year and a half and when Rhett turned six, he got to go to Disneyland with Royal’s parents and went on the Indiana Jones ride only to return to Wabang with the full getup (lol)

Your kids absolutely LOVE The Goonies. Every time they go out and ride their bikes with their friends, they pretend that they’re gonna go look for One-Eyed Willie’s treasure

You and Rhett had thought about letting the kids watch Excalibur at one point but when you realized how R rated it was you guys were like “yeah not a good idea” (lol)

Rhett felt so bad when Amy watched the second Toy Story movie for the first time. She bawled her eyes out when Jessie was telling her story (and also because Rhett had given her a Jessie doll for her birthday that year) and it took both you and Rhett to calm her down even though you two were close to tears yourselves

Your kids got really scared when they watched Bambi and the wildfire scene came on. They didn’t wanna go near a bonfire for a good couple of months (lol)

Hannah, your oldest daughter absolutely LOVES Sleeping Beauty and The Little Mermaid although when she started brushing her hair by herself, Rhett was a little exasperated because she tried to use a fork to comb her hair

Peter pan would always be Amy’s favorite though. Wes and Nora Redwood, your close family friends, even made her a little ragdoll set with all the characters

But no matter what age, no matter what point in your lives you’re at

You and Rhett keep movie night going

Because it’s when your best memories with each other came about

Hi everyone! I'm a new writer on Tumblr, but I wanted to let you guys know that I am taking requests for one-shots, headcanons, etc. Below are details on what characters & ships I'll write, what I will and won't write, request guidelines and stuff like that. Please read this before you request, and if you see one of my posts before this and want to make rest, I'll be linking this post to each of the other posts I make, but anyway, let's get to it.

Now, onto request guidelines:

I will write oneshots, headcanons (general or based on a specific prompt, like a character's hobby or relationship with another character) fluff, and angst. I can write some level of smut, but only something like making out, kissing, etc. Please don't be afraid to ask, but please don't be upset if I turn down the request, it's usually only because I'm not comfortable with writing it. I also won't write anything about rape, abuse, incest, anything that's racist, anything smutty that involves a minor and an adult, etc.

2. There are certain ships I will not write about as well, I won't list specific ones, but I will not write about ships that involve an adult and a minor, a student and a professor, polyamorous ships, etc. I get that everyone has their preferences, and that's fine, but I'm not comfortable writing those types of ships. Any other ships, though, are totally fine! I will also write platonic ships, not just romantic ships.

3. Be kind. if you don't like the request I've written, please be polite. Although I am by no means transphobic, racist, etc, I do not have much experience in writing characters that are part of the LGBTQIA+ community or characters with different cultures, and this may reflect on my writing. But, with that matter and just in general, I try my best, so I will not accept any hate on this blog, towards me or others.

4. Be patient. Please take this as a friendly remember that, like the rest of us, I do have a life, and while I'll try to get back to you on a request as soon as possible, I can not write 24/7. So please don't be offended if it takes a while for me to finish your request, I will try to finish it as quick as possible. And, please don't be offended if I choose not to write your request. There are a lot of things I really don't feel comfortable writing about, and that's okay. It's not my intention to offend you if I don't write your request, it's just my preference. And, sometimes it has nothing to do with the content of your request, but simply because I don't have the energy to write sometimes, and I just have to turn down some requests.

5. Please be detailed. This is very important! Please specify in your request, what character you want me to write about, the ship you want me to include if you just want it to be a character x y/n thing, or a nonshipping request, a clear summary of your idea, the type of writing you want it to be (headcanons, one shot, fluffy, angst etc), that type of thing. It doesn't have to be super long, just enough so I know what you actually want me to write. And please only submit your requests via my asks, not in the comments of my posts or anything like that.

And I think that's all! I really appreciate you taking the time to read this, and just an extra note, if you would like to submit anything via my asks, that's not a request, just a question or to share your own thoughts on Harry Potter, please feel free to do so! As Harry rang the doorbell of the large house, he felt his heart beating ten million miles a minute. His palms were sweaty, just like they always were before seeing Draco, so he rubbed them on the sides of his pants. He couldn’t help but look down at his maroon tie and fuss to fix it for the thousandth time. Or run a nervous hand through his hair, as if to gel it down even more than he had tried to. Despite his efforts, it was still the unruly mess that it normally was, now shinier with product. He stood on the front porch of the house, waiting, praying, for someone to answer it, so he could get this over with.

You say you’ll be down in five, the smell of your perfume is floating down the stairs, you’re fixing up your hair, like you do.

The door was opened by Draco’s mother. She smiled sweetly at Harry before motioning him to come in. She closed the door behind him as he walked towards the bottom of the stairs. Harry turned and saw Lucius standing in the door frame leading to the kitchen. Both men gave a quick nod.

“Draco, sweetie, Harry’s here!” Narcissa called up the stairs to her son. She turned to Harry and gave him another smile that made him feel a little less nervous. “He’s just finishing up getting ready, dear. Would you like a drink or anything while you wait?”

“No, thank you, Mrs. Malfoy.” He said politely, resisting the urge to rub his palms on his trousers again.

“Please, Harry, I’ve told you before, call me Narcissa.” She said, sternly yet with kindness in her voice.

I know that I’ll be a mess the second that I see you. You won’t be surprised, this happens every time, it’s nothing new.

Harry glanced around the room, looking around at the couches and furnishings, as if he hadn’t been to Draco’s house a million times before. His nervousness began to settle in again, making his palms even more clammy and making him want to reach for his tie once more. He settled on rubbing his hands together, feeling over the curves of his knuckles meticulously. He didn’t even know why he felt nervous! He and Draco had hung out plenty of times, why should this be any different?

It’s always on a night like tonight I thank God you can read my mind, ‘cus when you look at me with those eyes…

Suddenly, Harry could hear footsteps coming from upstairs. He looked up at the stairwell with anticipation, his heart beating as fast as ever. As Draco descended the staircase, he felt his breath hitch, and his eyes went wide. His lips curved up in a huge smile.

I’m speechless!

Draco reached the second to last step and stopped, looking down at Harry at the bottom. Harry couldn’t help but stare at the blond, looking up and down at the gorgeous maroon suit that he was wearing. It fit him so nicely, snugly hugging Draco’s hips and hanging so nicely on his legs. His jacket looked absolutely incredible. Draco’s bright hair fell in waves by his ears, stopping at his shoulders, and the front parts were braided and pulled back. Harry felt his heart rate pick up even more than it previously was, and he could only think of one word: gorgeous.

Staring at you standing there in that dress, what you’re doing to me ‘ain’t a secret, and watching you is all that I can do…

“Wow,” Harry said finally as Draco stepped in front of him at the bottom of the stairs.

“Wow yourself.” Draco said with a chuckle. He smiled at Harry and didn’t stop. Harry looked up into Draco’s grey eyes, immediately melting into the silver pools. He felt like he was about to faint.

“You look bloody gorgeous, Draco.” Harry felt his breath hitch once more as he allowed his eyes to travel the other boy’s body, returning them to the eyes that could cause him to commit crimes.

I’m speechless! You already know that you’re my weakness, and after all this time I’m just as nervous. Every time you walk into the room…

“I’m speechless.” Harry said with a final breath.

“You don’t look so bad yourself, Potter. Now, let's go out back, Pansy and Blaise will be here soon for pictures, as will Ron and Hermione, I’m imagining. Oh, and Luna, Ginny, Neville, and Hannah, right?” Harry nodded as Draco looked at him. “Mum, Dad, you have the cameras?” Draco looked past Harry and gazed towards his parents, who were looking at the two boys with complete adoration and love. Narcissa gave a quick wave with the camera in her hand.

“Draco, I want to get a picture of just the two of you! Smile at the camera!” Draco turned his body towards Narcissa, as did Harry. Harry thought he should’ve been dead by now, seeing as he forgot how to breathe entirely when Draco wrapped his arm around his waist. He slowly snaked his own arm around the other boy’s waist and tried to smile wide, hiding his immense nervousness. Narcissa clicked the camera a few times, beaming at the two of them. Lucius stood behind her a bit, looking at the two on the steps, and also smiling a little.

“Okay, Draco sweetie, step up a few stairs, and Harry, look at Draco like you’re seeing him for the first time!”

“Seriously, mum?” Draco asked, raising an eyebrow but still holding a smile, but when Narcissa held up the camera with an aggressive shake, he sighed and stepped up backwards.

Just as Harry was about to turn and ogle at his boyfriend, the doorbell rang and startled all of them. Lucius took a step back and opened the door, revealing Ron and Hermione, hand in hand. Hermione wore a gorgeous blue gown, filled with beautiful ruffles and a small train. Ron’s vest and bow tie matched the color of her dress perfectly. Behind them, Harry could see Ginny and Luna walking up together, Ginny wearing a gorgeous red strapless gown and Luna wearing a black dress with a halter top, covered in glittering sequins all over the top. Ginny’s hair was pulled up into a ponytail, which was curled at the end. Luna’s hair was down and straightened, with a red flower tucked behind her ear. Another car pulled up to the front of the house as the four others entered the house. Pansy and Blaise poured out of the back seats, wearing matching green outfits. Pansy’s strapless gown and Blaise’s dark emerald suit matched perfectly.

Draco stepped back down off the stairs, smiling at their friends. “You all look amazing! We’re gonna take pictures in the backyard, come on!” Draco grabbed Harry’s hand, causing Harry to jump and start feeling his heart betray him once more. Even the simplest touch made him incredibly nervous and eager.

Once in the backyard, Narcissa lined up the teens in front of the hedge in the back. The hedge was rightfully decorated with twinkling lights and beautiful white flowers. Narcissa masterfully snapped shots of each of the couples and the group as a whole, then even more group photos when Neville and Hannah stumbled into the backyard a few minutes late. Neville wore a black suit with a yellow vest, matching perfectly with Hannah’s flowing yellow gown. The straps hung off her shoulders beautifully, and her golden hair was in a half ponytail, with the ends of her curled hair falling in front of her shoulders. The ten of them posed for what felt like eternity, before Narcissa deemed that she had enough photos. For now.

Lucius emerged from inside the house with a few adults following behind. Harry’s dads came first, hand in hand. Remus was dressed for the occasion, as he was a chaperone to the prom as a teacher. Sirius wore his favorite leather jacket and a pair of black skinny jeans, and beamed at his husband with loving eyes. Following behind them were multiple sets of parents; Molly and Arthur, Alice and Frank, Blaise’s mom, Hannah’s mom, and Pansy’s mom. They all folded into the backyard and beamed at their kids. Each of the parents started pulling out their phones, taking their own pictures that would ultimately end up on Facebook before they all got to the venue. The parents all gathered together and reflected: How did they get so old, that their kids were all already seventeen and going to prom?

Harry smiled at his dads, walking over to greet them. Sirius held out a hand to Harry, holding a small box that held the boutonniere that he was to put on his boyfriend. He grabbed it and turned around to find Draco already walking over to him, with a similar box in his own hands.

Harry smiled up at the blond, admiring him, searching his face as if it held the answer to every problem Harry had ever experienced. And to him, Draco really did hold all the answers. Once again, he forgot how to breathe when he saw Draco smile back at him.

Draco opened his box and carefully pulled out the flower. It was a bright red rose, decorated with white flowering and gorgeous leaves. Harry stared at it with excitement. He felt his breath once again stop short when Draco reached forward to put it in place. With a large smile on his face, he reached into his own box and pulled out a white lily with tiny red flowers and leaves surrounding it. He put it in place on Draco’s suit and let his hand linger, moving towards Draco’s face, cupping his cheek. Draco leaned into the touch.

“You look beautiful, baby.” Harry whispered, as if everyone in the backyard wasn’t already staring at them in adoration. Harry paid them no attention, not even Narcissa, who was snapping photos like it was her job. Well, it was her job. Regardless, he only focused on Draco, on his beautiful, encapsulating eyes. On his pink lips, which he so desperately craved to feel on his own.

“You look beautiful too, Harry.” Draco whispered back. Harry felt himself being pulled carefully into Draco’s arms, and he allowed himself to wrap his arms around Draco’s torso and leaned his head on the other boy’s shoulder. He felt Draco lean on his shoulder and place a sweet kiss on it. Harry could’ve stayed like this for hours, if it wasn’t for Pansy loudly interrupting.

“Yes, yes, young love is very sweet and beautiful, but we have a limo to ride in, can we wrap it up?” Harry heard Draco chuckle before pulling away, and it sounded like pure melody to his ears.

“Yeah, shut up, Pans, you’re just jealous. You’re the one going to prom with a gay guy.” Harry saw Draco smirk and he felt his lips also pull upwards.

“Have you forgotten that I am also gay, dipshit?” Pansy scoffed, rolling her eyes before turning away from them and towards Blaise. She grabbed his hand and started pulling him towards the gate on the opposite side of the yard. Ginny, Luna, Hermione, Ron, Neville, and Hannah all followed them. Draco grabbed Harry’s hand and started to pull them towards the gate, when he felt a hand on his shoulder. They both stopped and turned to see Sirius’ arm outstretched.

“I’ll meet you out front, love.” Draco said to Harry, letting go of his hand and walking out the gate with the others. Harry turned his full attention to his dad.

“Moony, when did we get old enough to have a son going to prom?” Sirius asked, looking to Remus for insight. Remus just shrugged and laughed. He gave Sirius’ hand a slight squeeze before turning towards the house and walking inside to reconvene with the other parents, closing the sliding door behind him. Sirius turned towards Harry with a big, toothy grin.

“Have so much fun tonight, Pup. This will be one of the best nights of your life, make the most of it.” Harry felt himself being pulled into his father’s arms, and sunk into the feeling. Sirius’ hugs always felt like coming home. He smiled as he separated from the embrace. They both smiled at each other with a silent acknowledgement, before Harry turned and left the backyard through the gate, like the others.

Everyone was already piled into the limousine when Harry approached it. The door was still open, waiting for him. With a smile, he climbed in and sat in the seat closest to the door, right next to the blond that could make him so happy and so incredibly nervous at the same time. As he sat, Draco grabbed his hand and intertwined their fingers. They shared a brief look between each other before looking up at the sound of one of their friends’ voices. It was Blaise’s cool, calm speech. “So, are you guys ready to have the night of our lives?”

Everyone smiled, looking around at each other and chattering away about the songs they hoped would be played, or the food selection, or complimenting each others’ outfits. Harry found himself staring at Draco once more, admiring him.

Watching you is all that I can do, I’m speechless!

Summary: Sirius Black escapes Azkaban and Professor Black’s students have a lot of questions about it.

“Professor Black?” A Hufflepuff student raised their hand, “Yes, Ms.Abbott?”

The Hufflepuff - Hannah Abbott - swallowed thickly, “Are you worried?”

“Worried about what?” Professor Black queried with her signature sweet smile, “Sirius Black.” Hannah stated.

The Professor chuckled, “No, dear. Nor should any of you be. Sirius Black will not harm any of you.”

Quietness remained through the classroom, “You know what, we have about twenty minutes of class time left. Why don’t you ask me all the questions troubling your minds? No judgment. You ask me questions, and I shall tell you no lies.”

Hermione’s hand shot up, “Yes, Ms.Granger?”

“How do you inherit the Black surname?”

Y/n smiled faintly, “I was married to one of the brothers.”

“Which one?” Ronald Weasley interjected, “Regulus Black.” Y/n answered.

“Pardon me if this sounds rude,” Dean Thomas began, “But wasn’t Regulus a deatheater?”

Tension set throughout the classroom, “Indeed, he was Mr. Thomas. I congratulate you on your research, but Regulus was not an evil man.” Y/n replied reassuringly.

“What was he like?”

“Regulus Black was a kind and ambitious man but pressured by his parents - Walburga and Orion - to accomplish things he never had ambition for.” Y/n twisted the ring on her finger, “Sirius Black and Regulus Black had more in common than they liked to believe. In the end, it seems that they weren’t different at all.”

“What do you mean, Professor?” Hermione queried at the cryptic response.

Y/n stood in front of her desk with her arms and legs crossed, “What I mean is that they both sacrificed themselves for the people they loved.”

“I can’t go into Regulus’ whole background, we just don’t have the time for that, and I can’t speak for Sirius, but I can assure you, Sirius means no harm.”

Glancing at the clock, most students began to pack up and leave. Hermione seemed intrigued and wanted to ask more, but she left despite her craving for knowledge. Ron followed shortly after. Harry seemed to be packing extraordinarily slow. Both his closest friends leaving him behind while the classroom expired itself out. Y/n returned to behind her desk, and Harry stared at her with his bright green eyes.

“Professor.” Harry called, grabbing her attention, “Yes, Harry?”

“Did you know my father?”

“I did.”

Harry stuttered, “Can- Can you tell me about him?”

“Perhaps,” Y/n answered teasingly.

The boy sat back down at his desk, “James Potter.” Y/n spoke with a laugh, “Merlin, he was a joy to be around.”

“I was a close friend of James’, which was fortunate. Most people couldn’t get too close to him aside from the Marauders, but I managed to sneak my way in.” Y/n explained, “James was kind and sweet, but he had his flaws like everyone else. Sometimes he hurt people - not that he noticed; of course, he thought it was all in good fun, but occasionally someone would get really hurt.”

“Most of the time, I was his shoulder to cry on. Your mother - Lily, she was something, let me tell you. Hurt your father in more ways than one. Rejecting him constantly made him question his self-worth. But he covered it up with his famous James Potter smile.”

“Your father wasn’t perfect, Harry.” Y/n stated, “Despite what anyone tells you. James Potter was not perfect, but there is one thing I bet he was fortunate for.”

“What's that?” Harry asked, “He and Lily died together. They never lived without one another.” Y/n answered.

Instantly Harry felt like he crossed a boundary, “I- I’m so sorry, Professor….”

“No need to apologize.”

“Would you talk about him? Regulus, that is?”

“Of course. Um- Regulus was one year younger than the Marauders. He was also a Slytherin favored by his parents over Sirius.” The Professor explained, fidgeting with her necklace, “He drowned. That’s- That's how he died.”

“He was eighteen when he passed in 1979. I can’t express the pain I felt when I received news of his passing.” Y/n chuckled bitterly, “Sirius ached too. Whether he showed it or not, I knew that he was hurting for the loss of his brother.”

Tears began to gloss her eyes, “I was hurting. We had gotten married a month before he died. Looking back on it, I think he did that on purpose because he knew that soon he would do this mission that would result in his death. His biggest concern was always me and my well-being. So for me to inherit his fortunes, he married me.”

“That’s not to say he only married me for that reason, but I think he wanted to die knowing I’d be taken care of.” Y/n added quickly, “Not even two years later, your parents died. Those three years were awful. And I mean absolutely dreadful.”

“Shortly after I realized Remus - Professor Lupin, excuse me, began to distance himself, so I reached out to him before he could hide away. Remus and I moved into a flat together; we still do. I also have my daughter.”

Harry spluttered, “Daughter?”

“Yes, my child with Regulus.”

“What’s her name?”

“Phoenix Regulus Black, a true Hufflepuff.” Y/n announced proudly, “She's a year above you, but I’d recommend you meeting her.”

“I- I know her.” Harry murmured, “You do?”

Harry nodded, “She- She’s been a good friend of mine since first year.”

“Well then.” Y/n chuckled.

Something was amiss in Harry’s attitude. Y/n was not daft. She noticed that at the mention of her daughter's name, his eyes lit up. The way his green eyes sparkled like a freshly mined emerald. The way his usual pale complexion turned to a faint pink hue and his dopey smile. The same smile James had with Lily. The same smile Regulus had with her.

“You like my daughter, don’t you?” Y/n crossed her arms, smiling playfully, “I- I- Pardon me, Professor.” Harry stuttered.

Y/n laughed, “Oh, you so do! You love my daughter!”

“Maybe I do….” Harry confessed, “Well, Harry Potter, I have no problem with you having a crush on my daughter. Just don’t make her a fling.” Y/n replied, narrowing her eyes teasingly.

“Yes, ma’am.”

“Now, run along. You have to catch lunch before it’s up.”

Harry rushed out of his seat after realizing the time. His bag placed on his shoulder as he left the classroom in haste. Y/n smiled and sat at the chair behind her desk. When moving a piece of parchment, there was a distinct rose petal. It was odd, she didn’t have roses anywhere nearby, and no one had been near her desk all day aside from her. The rose petal was a beautiful shade of lavender.

Lavender roses were the only color of roses Regulus would give her. It made Y/n smile, “Thank you, Reggie.”

In the afterlife, Regulus would’ve been sitting watching her entire conversation with Harry. He was smiling at his beautiful wife doing what she always aspired to do - teaching kids. Regulus could only hope that when Sirius was to find her that he’d take care of her. Perhaps Sirius could become Phoenix’s father - the parent Regulus never got a chance to be. Regulus could only hope that Phoenix knew that he did everything to keep her safe. His beautiful baby girl.

She wasn't really sure about when she noticed it, maybe it was around fourth year, she thought.

It was probably when Parvati, Lavender and Romilda were talking about the only thing they seemed to know: boys. They were talking with dreamy smiles about how hot the boys looked in the Quidditch uniforms when they noticed something: (Y/n) Potter was really quiet.

“You never told us who you fancy, (Y/n)” Lavender said, giggling.

Then all the eyes were turned to the girl, who was now a blushing mess. She never really payed attention to anyone, more specifically boys. She didn't know why, but no boy at all had caught her attention. Not even the boys whom every single girl in the castle dreams about kissing or doing something like that.

She felt weird when she thought about it. Wasn't she supposed to like someone just like every girl her age? Well, in fact, a few people had caught her eyes a few times.

Like Ginny Weasley with her amazing Quidditch uniforms and how perfectly she flies, or how talented and unique Luna Lovegood was, or how beautiful Hannah Abbott's smile was, or how clever and amazing in Quidditch Katie Bell was. To be honest, the thing is: she never noticed the boys because she was too busy paying attention to the girls.

“I don't fancy anyone” she replied simply, shrugging and hoping the girls would stop asking her things like that.

Now there she was: staring blankly at the roof of her room, trying to decide if she should do it now or wait for a while again. She should them them, right? They're her family, they would support them no matter what, right..?

Breathing nervously, she folded her girlfriend's letter and hide it in one of her drawers and left her room, slowly closing the door behind her before heading downstairs, where her family was. Her mum smiled sweetly at her, soon frowning when she noticed the nervousness on the girl's face.

“Are you alright, dear?” Lily asked worriedly as (Y/n) sat down in front of them.

“You look like you saw a boggart” Harry said, chuckling.

“It's nothing, don't worry” she assured them with a weak smile. She could see her mum didn't really believe it, but just tried to ignore it.

Then they started playing explosive snap, talking and laughing loudly with each other. It was a nice family game and the Potters loved to play it when everyone was home, Harry and (Y/n) learnt how to play it when they were still small, and it kind of became a tradition of the Potter family since they always wanted to play.

(Y/n) was quietly sipping her butterbeer, watching her dad and brother talking about Quidditch while her mom was watching both of them with a smile on her face. Now or never, (Y/n) thought decidedly. She then cleaned her throat to get their attention, which gladly worked. “Actually, there is something” she nervously said, watching as her family curiously looked at her.

“What is it, darling?” Lily asked with a knowing smile, as if she was just waiting for her daughter to say the words.

She breathed deeply before starting to speak. “Well, I've been thinking about it for a while, and at first I was really confused but now I'm sure about it.”

“Sure about what?” James, her dad, asked confusedly, which made Lily roll her eyes at her husband's cluelessness.

“I am gay” (Y/n) finally said after keeping it as a secret for so long. It felt as if someone took all the weight off of her shoulder, and she felt lighter than a quill now.

She looked at their faces; Lily was smiling widely as Harry and James looked at her with a surprised smile. “I'm so happy for you, my baby” her mom got up and hugged her tightly, placing a kiss on her forehead.

“You're not mad at me or upset?” she asked with happy tears on her eyes.

“Of course not, (Y/n/n)” Harry replied with a smile and she returned it, happy to know her big brother accepted her.

“You're still our little girl and we love you, no matter what” James added, a proud smile on his lips “Besides, why would we be upset or mad at you for something you don't get to choose?”

“To be honest, I already knew it for a while, I was just waiting for you to tell us” Lily said, making (Y/n) gasp as Lily laughed loudly “I'm your mother, what else did you expect?”

“I love you all, so so so much” (Y/n) said through the happy tears that insisted on rolling down her cheeks, a giant smile adorning her lips.

Then they had a long, tight group hug, (Y/n) being crashed by her family's loving arms. She had the best family in the world and she would never change them for anything.
