- he just really, really enjoys spooking people.
- like, a chance to dress up all scary?? to see the lovely faces of people lighting up with utter fear? SIGN HIM UP.
- he’s trying to scare anyone and everyone, let’s not mention how he gets all moody when someone isn’t scared by him and just giggling at his antics instead.
- he hates decorating for halloween it’s way too much effort but lemme tell you, pumpkin carving or horror movie watching? he’s all for it.
- makes the worst jack-o-lantern you’ve ever seen. like seriously what is that? he would quite literally just smile and be like “i love it😄”. he’d give it a name and all.
- he adores horror movies on halloween because he likes giggling when people are super scared, likes to teasing people about it too. (the type to scream in the middle of an intensely quiet scene.)
- steals candy. steals so much candy. actually, forget stealing, he just scares people into handing over candy to him and has NO remorse for it, they should’ve just been tougher, barely even put up a fight!
- he might even consider changing costumes halfway through the night so he can re-scare people or keep himself from getting bored.

- he loves halloween are you kidding me.
- he loves costumes he seriously does, dressing up is just so exciting for him. he likes to look mysterious and all fancy.
- we all know halloween in the sea is much different so he’s still learning more about land halloween and boy is he INTERESTED. especially learning about all the cultures traditions, he’s captivated!
- also quite enjoys scaring people, he’ll wear a scary costume but go around acting like a living angels all night until he gets to chance to absolutely horrify people. then just does his lil soft smirk and struts away (he totally struts.)
- he also loves telling scary stories in the calmest most monotone voice while describing the most traumatizing scary thing ever. (it’s more chilling this way i’m telling you.)
- he would scare people in the most methodical way physically possible and he would act so shocked and innocent as his plan unraveled.
- the opposite of floyd in the pumpkin carving area, his pumpkin would be so gorgeous. like how did this man manage to make an art piece out of a PUMPKIN??
- he’s not a big candy fan tbh, man is floyd or someone else gonna luck out if he decides he’s feeling sweet enough to hand it all over.

- i beg of someone show him he can actually time to relax and enjoy himself on halloween.
- if he were to be somehow persuaded to go trick-or-treating i do think he would rather enjoy himself. to give himself a chance to be a bit of a kid, to let loose yk. it would be fun for him to experience something exciting that he hasn’t before.
- doesn’t want candy, he doesn’t like junk food, but mayhaps if he likes someone enough he wouldn’t be opposed to getting candy and giving it all to said person. as long as the queens rules permit it though.
- declines to watch horror movies. he won’t do it, maybe something tamer like halloween town? even then he’s judging EVERYONE in it.
- his costumes are well thought out, they are absolutely not something stupid or spur of the moment like certain people. (*cough cough ace*)
- BUT he lowkey likes being a little scary on halloween, it’s the intimidation factor that he enjoys.
- he won’t carve pumpkins either, way too messy for his tastes, maybe if the queen allows it, he’ll partake in painting or drawing on the front of pumpkins!

- he’s so excited. so excited. sure sure he may seem like he’s only in it for a profit (he’s THRILLED about said profit don’t get me wrong) but he loves halloween itself too.
- he does enjoy halloween profit but he also just enjoys halloween decorates, he likes all the cute halloween stuff and how he can make it all however he pleases. like little sugar cubes shaped like pumpkins or ghosts? he’ll never tell but he thinks they’re so cute.
- idc what he says he’s afraid of ghosts. like how ghosts are quite prevalent in the coral sea, as a kid he would hide under his covers and sob because he was fearful of them. (it happened i was totally there)
- he would watch halloween movies but would act so hard to seem uninterested or that in that situation he’d be a-okay.
- he convinces people he only likes to capitalize off halloween but he lowkey loves matching costumes and thinks they’re cute. if someone he likes asked him to match i stg he’d be unable to speak. (he turns into mush fr)
- i think he would really enjoy dressing up, he’s an extravagant man yk! if he gets to wear something that makes him feel on top of the world he’s gonna do it.

Aaron and Katelyn headcannons because I love them so much😭(pls don’t bully me I’m frightened🙏)
-Aaron gets forced into doing skincare every night with Katelyn because she has one of those like huge 13 step routines
-Katelyn takes 0.5 photos of Aaron’s all the time (she has more 0.5 photos of him that normal ones)
-Aaron gets dragged into Vixen gossip conversation sometimes and has no idea who any of the people they are speaking about are but hated them as much as they do
-I’ve said this one before but whenever Katelyn gets sick of wearing something like a hair clip she’ll take it out and put it on him somewhere hoping he doesn’t notice
-this one is a little random and makes zero sense but I saw a post talking about Katelyn and Aaron’s kids being twin girls in the future and the thought of one being a figure skater while the other plays ice hockey popped into my head🤷♀️😭
-Aaron wears Katelyn’s clothes and Katelyn wears Aaron’s clothes sometimes (a lot)
-Aaron’s one of those people who get shivers up his spine when seeing someone bend funny and Katelyn is extremely flexible and likes freaking him out (cheerleader 🤷♀️)
-Aaron I’d like up to her shoulders in height as I like to think Katelyn is actually very tall compared to him
-they have movie nights in bed and it’s always something like mean girls or clueless
-Katelyn is a chronic forehead/cheek kisser
-Aaron Is obviously a quiet guy/someone who just kinda keeps to himself but I think he’s the type of quiet that’s like ‘don’t speak unless spoken too’ due to like trauma and stuff and it’s a habit he’s been trying to break for awhile now and Katelyn unknowingly has helped him with it a lot (idk🧍♀️)
-Katelyn always takes his glasses off his face before kissing him because they always get in the way
-Aaron has a habit of apologising for things he doesn’t need to apologise for and Katelyn always makes sure he knows it’s okay without missing a beat🙅♀️
-Katelyn is a huge dog person and so is Aaron (he’s scared of cats)
-Aaron opened up about his mum to Katelyn for the first time after he accidentally broke Katelyn’s mirror by tripping up and having a panic attack in front of her

As for Luz and Hunter, this is just a prelude to what we already know happens, them confronting Belos on their own, though we still don’t know why they get isolated from the others and if they realize yet it’s him. Mayhaps the group split up while Trick-or-Treating to cover more ground and candy varieties?

OMFGGG SALLYS STORY!!! Maisie returns mayhaps?? Anyways, I'm happy that we finally (maybe) have a nighttime exclusive puppet of some sort :-)
Also, her story reminded me of the You're Outside. Good Night. image!! Maybe Wally believed that story too much? Or perhaps he IS the puppet in the story! Or maybe he knows the story is true and is trying to protect everyone :-0
The Halloween costume was oddly disturbing, I imagined dozens of kids all wearing that. Kind of like cult attire if that makes sense

SALLY'S STORY... i would say i'm surprised that so many people seem to have taken it so literally, but i'll admit the thought of "i wonder if she's trying to pass off something she actually did experience as a campy halloween story just to seem less suspicious" did cross my mind at one point. i still think it's more likely that it's a misdirect or a matter of being unknowingly correct about something than anything else, though.
it's probably too early to declare this the introduction of maisie (again, if she's even still around) or another new character; the only exception i can think of would be if the narrator reappears in future updates. HOWEVER if that does end up being the case, then i really Really like the idea that they popped into existence because wally was like "oh, shit, scary thing from the woods that eats neighbors, okay. there's no way someone would just lie about that, lol. i wonder what it looks like...."
also, full disclosure: i did get an ask that was like "omg sammy lawrence expy real???" regarding the wally costume, but i deleted in a panic because it reminded me of this experience i had shortly after welcome home first blew up:

I'll be honest i only used this gif because I love the coloring, but this could be read based on any Jonathan that was a professor
Crane isn't stupid, far from it. When he kidnaps you it's because he's already sorted out a plan, place, and way to keep you secure and safe. With a bit of convincing, Penguin handed over one of his many estates around the city, which Jonathan jumped to prepare it just for you.
He remembered what you liked fron your college dorm, the kind of movies that made you excited to see, your favorite games. Nights of watching you from hidden cameras and from the window far from wasted as he made sure your shared house would be perfect. It of course had his own aesthetic, Halloween decorations, horror posters and books thrown around.
All that was left was you. Then it'd be complete. He'd have his lab assistant back, and maybe more if he was lucky. Though Jonathan wouldn't get ahead of himself just yet, he'd have to gain your trust and train you to make sure you didn't try anything stupid.
He was careful when actually getting ahold of you, he'd never hurt you, you were his star pupil, bruising you would simply be counter productive. One moment, you were getting ready for bed, and the next, you were in an unfamiliar room. Before you had time to properly process anything, Professor Crane walked in, holding a tray with breakfast with a scarily large smile.
Your panic was met with a condescending tone, Jonathan simply waving off your worries and questions as he tried to feed you himself. Eventually you relented, begrudgingly letting him feed you your favorite breakfast, which you decided against commenting on.
It took a couple weeks, locked away in a room, or in the house if Jonathan was home, before he let you join him in his work. He took care in designing you an outfit, something fit for his new partner in crime, yet different enough to be able to easily separate the two costumes.
His ‘lab’ is really just an well hidden warehouse, long since abandoned, taken over by the city's master of fear. In one of the back room, Jonathan has a mam secured to a metal table, mouth covered with duct tape. With a sickly sweet smile, he offers you a syringe filled with fear toxin.
"I want you to discover his greatest fear," Professor Crane downright purrs, placing the syringe in your hand and wrapping an arm around you loosely. "Inject him with this fear toxin, it isn't enough to kill him, but, it will be enough to start the hallucinations."
"This is.. wrong." You didn't sound unsure, nor argumentative, simply stating a fact. Jonathan gave you a look, a silent threat in his eyes. "I'll do it but, what did he do to deserve it?"
"Oh, you don't remember him?" Jonathan grinned, ushering you closer to the sobbing man. "Good, good, you shouldn't waste your time worrying about people like him, child, you're much to smart for that."
He never told you who that man was to you, but judging by the way he knew your name, you had to guess he was an old teacher, or maybe an old bully. Whoever he was, Jonathan had split his chest open at the end of the test, before wiping his hands off and asking you what you wanted for dinner.
That night, he took you in his arms, the hug soft but possessive all the same.
"Professor?"
"Jonathan, dear," he chastises you softly, continuing to sway softly while you laid you head to his chest. The dishes had been cleaned, and before your nightly movie, Jonathan had swept you into his arms.
"Jonathan," Jon hummed happily as you corrected yourself, so you continued, "what are we?"
"Whatever do you mean, little one?" Jonathan's voice was soft above you, that slight southern tinge making your heart flutter. You never really got over that silly college crush.
"I... what are we?" You repeat, trying and failing to tug away from Jonathan's grasp.
"Why, we're lovers, of course." Jonathan pointed your chin up, giving you that rare smile only you were allowed to see. "Silly pet, why as such a ridiculous thing?"

well, if it’s for your FAMILY….
For anyone new, context: My agent 4 is named Maya
- Maya was team Money this splatfest solely because Marie promised her if money won she’d get her a bunch of gifts to celebrate so she joined to help her mom. (Marie would have done that no matter what team won the splatfest. She just wanted her daughter on her team with her.)
- Marie and Maya do a lot of baking together just for fun as an excuse to hang out. They’ll get store-bought brownie mix and cookie dough and stuff and set aside days to just make stuff together while they play music and just sing and dance and be goofy together during it. Marie lets Maya crack the eggs Cus it’s her favorite part and she calls her a little master baker.
- There’s been a few times Marie brought Maya with her to her radio show. Everytime she lies to her managers being like “oh what’s better for a studying podcast than helping my daughter with her school homework”, and then every time it happens the procrastinating aspect of the show gets amped up to 100 and literally nothing gets done and Marie just spends the whole time talking about Maya and different kid stuff she does that she finds adorable and Maya spends the whole time going “mommmmm” cus theyre live and she doesn’t wanna be embarrassed (even though it’s not that bad lmao).
- contrast to popular belief Maya does go to school sometimes I just literally never make any content of it at all in the slightest (Cus I hate school and I hate writing and drawing about characters going to school), but anyways Marie makes Maya lunches still even though she’s old enough where you’d expect her to make her own lunches, just because she enjoys it and likes leaving lil notes and stuff in it for her. Maya absolutely adores it especially when Marie packs her sandwiches and uses fun sandwich cutters on it like dinosaur or bear ones.
- Marie always supports Maya’s Halloween costumes she wants to do every year no matter how complicated or odd they are. She wants to be a ghost? Okay boom Marie bought a whole sheet for her just to cut eye holes out of for. She wants to be Freddy Fazbear okay well she’s getting her hot glue gun different fabric and making her the best Freddy fazbear costume to ever exist instead of the cheep ones in Mako Mart.
- during splat3, every splatfest since there’s people now going to inkopolis plaza and Splatsville to watch idols perform for it, the crowds around Callie and Marie performing are a lot more tame now so they get a lot more breaks between now, so it’s very easy for Marie to get Maya up on stage with her to give her a nice place to sit and look at all the lights and decorations while they both take a splatfest break
Tldr they are the family ever 💛💛💛💚💚💚

I know it’s April but I’m having Disney couple Halloween costume thoughts for my Disenchanted mcs 🤭
Isabelle & Viktor: Belle & Adam/Beast (this is literally perfect for them bc her name is Isabelle and Viktor has horns like Adam does as beast)
Leliana & Lucien: Ariel & Eric (also perfect bc Leliana is a siren and I have a feeling Luci mayhaps likes mermaids 🤭)
Kamry & Avery: Sally & Jack (Kamry likes to lean into the spooky side bc she’s a banshee so I think she’s been Sally on her own before as well, and now she’d def convince Avery to be Jack and have fun doing his makeup lol)
Elena & Theodore: Rapunzel & Eugene (I imagine Rapunzel and Eugene’s dynamic in general is similar to Elena and Theodore’s lol, I could also see them doing a less conventional one like Tinkerbell & Captain Hook lol)
