i finished watching buffy for the first time this week and it’s been a wild ride but something i feel genuinely surprised about is this idea that ppl have where spike falls into the dark, brooding, bad guy turned good trope. comparing him to the likes of draco, kylo ren, etc. it makes me rlly???? bc am i delusional? from season 2 onwards, spike always felt very funny to me; silly, goofy, light hearted. i mean he has a whole backstory about being a momma’s boy/terrible poet. effulgent!!! blooming onion lover?? a loser and malewife first for dru and later for buffy. even peak “evil” spike doesn’t want to go along w dru/angelus’ plan bc he likes this world too much!! n that’s long before he even has a soul! has moments where he can barely look buffy in the eye, gets tongue tied, “why haven’t you killed the slayer yet” good question adam!! maybe bc he loves the slayer!! get’s chained to a tub and let’s buffy feed him blood out of a ‘kiss the librarian’ mug. “great pumpkin’s on in 20” & can’t forget about passions!! asking joyce for the lil marshmallows for his hot cocoa while he tells her all about how dru broke his fragile little heart 😭 and and when he gets turned into a vampire so of course immediately his first thought is to travel the world w his lover + can’t forget about his mommy like !!! hello!!! are we watching the same show like he’s just a freaky little loser who luvs a girl bc duh who tf wouldn’t love buffy, she’s literally everything and he knows it too!

I just watched Puss in Boots: The Last wish and oh my god it is fantastic. The entire movie kept my attention and it was so colourful and beautiful animated I couldn't believe my eyes at how gorgeous it was, but my favorite thing in the movie is the fear that puss has for death. It was *horrifying* every time I saw the wolf because I could feel the dread and the hopelessness that puss felt, the agonizing f e a r. I loved it, it was so real to me and I wish I have a whole other movie just with that dark atmosphere with his fear, his anxiety and the panic because I also felt like I was in his shoes, it was awful yet these little scenes where he was afraid are the most interesting to me, beautifully done and I hope we get more and more movies like this one.

I started giffing in 2018, then took a break in 2019 until the beginning of this year and since then I've learned so much. I love trying out tutorials and learn new ways to edit stuff and it was such a great feeling to see my progress and that at some point, I developed my own preferences and habits that shape my own style now. I try to stay realistic and natural but still vibrant in colour. I love those edits with different colors or even unrealistic colors I see on my dash, but I can't bring myself to do it myself. It always looks wrong 😅

btw my current headcanon for q!antoine is that he asked to be part of the islanders rather than being an outside observator like the rest of the Federation, and at first it was deemed as a bad idea but he insisted it'd be fine so he's there and now he grew attached to the other french speakers and to the egg experiment when he shouldn't have. And the moment it gets figured out by the wrong people he's in trouble.
