i am finally home and i'm pretty knackered but aaaahhh what a weekend!! ✨✨ so much happened in such a short amount of time, i'm still processing i think (also some personal stuff, that i won't bore you with). but yeah, the shows were absolutely epic, they were such good crowds for london standards. very rowdy but overall the atmosphere was amazing, and tbh that's probably in part because miles just exudes such incredible energy himself, if you ask me

also, a few random things i'm remembering now (which i'll put under the cut because i apparently remembered more than i thought):

miles seemed really really into it both nights, and really centered somehow? he was clearly having a blast and had everyone eating out of the palm of his hand, he's just SUCH an incredible showman. that's nothing new of course, but I was once again struck by just how very special and awe inspiring and just incredibly fun it is to watch him do his thing on stage. no one does it like miles fucking kane, baby

also, there were so many men in the audience who were just really letting go during the show, hugging their mates and singing the lyrics at each other, even full on crying when miles played colour of the trap (not even kidding, actual tears streaming down their faces). i don't think i've ever seen that at another gig to that extent, really. miles and his music seem to have - for want of a better phrase - a sort of liberating effect on a lot of men that's really nice to witness

liam was super sweet too, and when he learned that i was dutch he was like 'oh we're playing a show in holland next week!' so i was like 'i know, i'm going!' and then he offered to put me on the guestlist, which was very kind of him even though i already have tickets lmao. he and ben both were very excited for that show for some reason, which made me even more excited as well!!

after night two ben and liam shared a massive hug outside and they both seemed really emotional, which was very sweet to see 🥺

nathan is the loveliest man alive. he said this tour was definitely the best one yet because the energy's just been amazing! he also asked us what are favourite album and song of the night was (his own fave was never taking me alive) and when I mentioned i just loved the bassline in coup de grace so much, he said it was as fun to play as it sounds, and that on the album it was actually miles who played it (that's probably common knowledge, but i didn't know!)

he also said that the band really is very close and they're all equals, and miles always says "we", and that he really is as kind and lovely as he seems 🥺 i mean, we knew that, but it was still really lovely to hear!

and of course, miles was once again just the most wonderful, gracious man ever with his fans, chatting to as many people as he could and taking pics with them and cooing at turtle paraphernalia, all while looking and smelling absolutely diviiiiine. he did seemed pretty knackered though, especially after night two, but that makes sense i think. and yet he still came out! truly a hero

as for my own chat with him, i for some reason went up to him like 'hiiiiiiiiiiiii' with my hands held out to him (idk man), and he just reciprocated my enthusiasm and took my hands and then held them and looked me in the eye while i rambled at him about how incredible i thought the show and he himself were, and he was just completely lovely, as always 🥺 such an angel

You sat on the floor in your room putting the last of his clothes in a box. It wasn't the first time he had left without a word, in fact he had made a habit of it but this time felt different. What was months had turned into a year. You sighed closing the box grabbing the tape when you heard a knock at the door. "He's early." You said looking at your phone as you jumped up you hurrying downstairs when another knock sounded at the door "coming thor!" You called out reaching the bottom of the stairs you made it to the front door, grabbing the handle you pulled it open freezing at the site in front of you.

"Thor hmm?" He snarled looking down at you. "Loki...what do you want?" You snapped crossing your arms watching his shoulders slump "may I please come in darling?" He asked quietly, the deep emerald of his eyes boring into you. "I...I don't know." You said looking down at your feet "please love i...I needed to speak to you." He said taking a step closer to you. Taking a deep breath you looked back up at him "fine, but only for a minute." You said opening the door wider stepping aside as he walked in, his long purposeful strides leading him to the living room as you shut the door following behind him. "I see you've changed the house a bit." He said sliding the sleeves of his leather jacket up revealing his forearms you looked around remembering the day you got rid of his reading chair and replaced it with an end table "what do you need Loki?" You asked standing on the other side of the room.

He ignored your question as he went into the kitchen, rummaging through the cabinets he came back with a bottle of whiskey and a glass "it's good to see you too." He snarked sitting on the couch pouring himself a drink. "Look Loki, I don't know why your here or..." you were cut off watching him down the drink in one gulp before slamming the glass down "how long?" He asked pouring another "how long what?" You asked furrowing your eyebrows "my brother....how long?" He asked again his eyes meeting yours "we aren't....he was coming over to pick up your things." You said, your voice raising at his accusation. "Ah, so I leave for a bit and you just move on?" He asked waving his hand at where his chair had previously been. "Loki it's been a year!" You yelled, your anger beginning to rise the longer he was there.

"Yes, and I had assumed the woman who said she loved me would wait for me." He sneered downing another drink "to be honest, when i found myslf at your door, like evey other time I pictured you in your room...alone...awaiting my return." He said, his eyes meeting yours again, a sadness in them you hadn't seen before "and when you opened the door and your eyes met mine...everthing felt...better again." He said looking back down at his glass "I always come back do I not?" He asked quietly, his voice shaking.

And right before your eyes, i'm breaking,

"Yes, you come back until things become too real for you!" You yelled feeling your eyes burn "until things get to serious and then your off again." You said crossing your arms. "I just...you always put everything else before me!" He yelled standing up. "What? My job....my responsibilities!?" You yelled back waving your arms "you know very well what I mean, do not play coy with me!" He yelled. You took a step back remembering the last time he left "oh, so this is about your insecurities." You sneered watching him shake his head. "You do not understand the hold you have on me!" He yelled throwing his glass to the floor shattering it into pieces making you step back "You could beak my heart in the blink of an eye if you choose to, so yes...I left before you could." He snapped "and broke mine instead?" You pushed back "I only wanted to be at the top of your list, not your pastime." He said shaking his head.

"So you find yourself at MY door, like all the times before wearing your best apology but you know what Loki?" You sighed shaking your head pushing a piece of glass away with your foot "all those times I let you back in, I allowed you to consume me and you left...I watched you leave over and over to go god knows where and do God knows what and with who." You said feeling a tear steam down your cheek looking up into his eyes "i only ever wanted to be your priority loki, to be at the top of YOUR list, but all I ever got was you going, and breaking my heart everytime you did." You said unable to keep your voice from shaking.

And right before your eyes, I'm aching

"Y/n, this the last time I'm going to ask you, put me at the top of your list, make me a priority in your life," Loki said taking a step closer to you "I will not let you continue to break my heart." He said sternly making you look up at him "that is the last time you tell me it's me! The last time you tell me I've got it all wrong!" You yelled taking a step closer to him, his large frame towering over you "this will be the last time I tell you it's been you all along, it was not." He said seeing a tear stream down his cheek you closed your eyes "this is the last time I let you in my door Loki...i...I can't..." you trailed off covering the sob that escaped from your lips. "This is the last time y/n, I won't hurt you anymore...I swear it." He said falling to his knees in front of you.

"Please y/n, I need you." He said wrapping his arms around your middle, holding you tightly as if you would disappear "Loki..." you sighed placing a hand on the top of his head "what if...what happens when you leave again?" You ask shakely as he tilted his head up, his bloodshot eyes meeting yours "I won't...I'm not going anywhere. I want you....only you." He said sternly as you closed your eyes "I can't do this again, my heart can't take it." You said hearing glass slide against the hardwood floor as he shifted "let me prove myself to you, please y/n...let me show you." He said making you shake your head. "I...I can't do this right now." You said feeling Loki's grip loosen around your waist. "Y/n.." loki whispered as you stepped back.

"You can sleep on the couch tonight, if...in the morning if your still here maybe we can talk." You said slowly walking around the glass on the floor leaving Loki where he was "I'll go get you a blanket." You said turning around seeing him still kneeling on the floor, his head nodding slightly as you turned and walked up the stairs. Making your way to the linen closet you pulled out your phone quickly dialing Thor as you opened the door grabbing a blanket "Lady y/n, is everything alright?" Thor's voice boomed through the speaker "um...yeah I just...tonight isn't a good night." You said grabbing a pillow "maybe tomorrow night, I'll let you know." You said closing your eyes are you really going to let him stay you asked yourself when you heard Thor again "he's there isn't he?" He asked making you sigh "yes...he is." You whispered "Alright, let me know if you need anything." He said "thank you Thor." You said quickly hanging up you gripped the pillow and blanket in your arms heading back downstairs.

"Ok, here you go." You said seeing Loki hadn't moved from where you left him, but the glass on the floor had been cleaned up, and now sitting on the coffee table next to the whiskey bottle "thank you y/n" He said slowly standing up walking to the couch not looking at you as he grabbed the blanket spreading it out "So, in the morning?" You asked biting your lip when his eyes finally met yours "yes, in the morning." He said, a seriousness in his eyes that sent a shiver through you "Ok, goodnight." You said turning back to the stairway "Goodnight y/n." You heard him say as you walked up the stairs.

You made it to your room, slowly closing the door before sitting on the bed looking at the box you had been packing "Loki..." you whispered. Grabbing your pillow you laid down closing your eyes, wondering if he would still be on the couch in the morning....

And imagine the look on her face when she's invited to one of Harry's team meetings for the music video to not only hear that he wants to do a full dance routine, but have her be his dance partner? He claims that his reasoning is because her vocals are featured in the song, but the sly smile he gives her confirms that he’s taking advantage of an opportunity to do yet another project with her.

So they began learning and rehearsing the routine that was created by none other than One Direction's previous choreographer, Paul Roberts. She shouldn't be surprised by how fast Harry picked up on the choreography. He's definitely that annoying friend who hasn't done an activity before, does it for the first time and instantly becomes a natural.

So here are some highlights from the making of the TPWK music video.

They're both stretching in front of the huge mirrors in the dance studio. YN is wearing an oversized Treat People With Kindness white t-shirt, plain black biker shorts and matching Harry’s classic Vans. Harry stretches next to her, also wearing a t-shirt of her merch.

As she goes from a wide squat to a deep forward lunge, she squeaks and almost loses her balance when she feels a pinch on her bum. She reaches out and swats at her giggling boyfriend.

"Keep yeh hands to yourself!"

...

"What if we did a lift?" Harry suggests, his index finger and thumb pinching at his bottom lip.

"Did yeh forget the Night Changes music video?" She scoffs and everyone in the room laughs when his big hand covers her face, playfully pushing her away.

After some hours already spent locked away in the small rehearsal space, the couple was getting a little delirious. So it doesn’t really take a whole lot of convincing YN to try out the stunt. Especially when he leans really close to her side, chest to her shoulder, and tells her in her ear, "Come on. I got you, lovie. Y'trust me, yeh?"

So here she finds herself, standing a couple of feet away from Harry as they prepare for a silly, impulsive lift. When he gives her a nod, she's quickly going to him. Everything was fine, his hand placement was correct, her speed was at a good pace, but what has them both stop midway through the lift is that his nose bumps deep into her chest.

Once Harry carefully puts her back to the ground, YN crumples to the floor with her hands to her stomach as she barks out in laughter. His eyes squeeze shut, hands to his knees as he joins her in laughter.

...

"Next to the stage, we have the wonderfully talented, Grammy-nominated, professional dancer, Harry Styles!" YN announces in a deep voice from her spot on the floor. She's sitting with her back against the mirror behind her in another dance studio in LA as she holds her phone close to her face to record Harry's take of his full solo routine.

She giggles when he takes a dramatic bow, stepping closer to the microphone stand and gives a couple of waves to the fake audience around him before beginning.

...

When Harry first began bouncing from one table to another on a trampoline, YN will admit, she was a little nervous. She didn’t want him to accidently miss his footing or lose his balance.

"H, please be careful. Ah!" YN puts her hands over her eyes.

But as the days getting closer to final shoot came along, she would record her boyfriend bouncing around the tables with a dramatic wave of his arms and she would yell out a, “Parkour!” every now and then.

It would make him stop on top of a table to laugh, making sure to catch his breath from the prancing around and from his giggling. Her comments would go on for a bit longer, making herself laugh more than anything. Her giggling quickly turns into a squeal when Harry, instead of bouncing to the next table, uses the trampoline to jump towards her. Playfully fed up with her distractions, he wraps his arms around her and tackles her to the ground.

...

There’s a short video clip shown of the couple rehearsing in YN’s home gym in the small dance corner she has. Harry has his phone propped up against the mirror wall as they record their progress. The two go around in a circle, twisting their hips, flicking their foot, spinning and ending with a clap.

The two stay in that position for a hot second, frozen in place with their hands in the air. YN tries her hardest to hold back a laugh as she realizes they both forgot the steps. Although Harry’s back is to the camera, his shoulders twitching lets everyone know he’s doing the same.

...

Harry and YN are decked out in their final finished outfits. They’re both standing in front of a living room and Lambert tells them that he’s going to do a quick camera test. He instructs them to do a simple spin to showcase the custom outfits.

While Harry does so with his arms extended beside him, YN has her arms above her head like a ballerina, her foot to her opposite knee as she does a more dramatic turn.

Lambert just shakes his head at the couple as they giggle and begin to do silly dances instead. They were never ones for following directions for a simple video anyways.

...

Harry's being a pest and clingy to his girlfriend on the day of shooting. It's annoying at times but he can't help it. He's just excited that he's doing something this big and fun with her: their first music video together in almost 6 years.

Like how every time the makeup artist tries to touch up YN's lipstick, he pushes the poor woman's elbow to make her shaky. It goes on for a bit before YN makes a playful reach to pinch his nipple through his sparkly jacket.

Or after she does her part coming down the staircase and they're all watching the playback on the monitors with the director, he's cuddled up behind her. For the sake of not showing too much PDA in their workplace, he has his hands behind his back but he still leans down enough so that his chin sits comfortably on top of her shoulder with a fond smile tugged on his lips.

...

YN and Harry are talking off set in a relatively dark corner. While chewing on a piece of gum, she nods to whatever he’s saying before her eyes find the BTS camera behind him. She playfully squints her eyes and flips off the camera.

When Harry turns around to see what she’s been seeing, he gets really close to the camera and says with fake aggressiveness, “Get out m’face alright.”

He turns back around to wrap his arms around her, pulling her to the front of his chest and blocking her from the camera. But the couple can’t hold their serious facial expressions for long and Harry gives the camera a cheeky, close lipped smile over his shoulder. YN’s face from the nose up can be seen from behind his shoulder, but once the tops of her cheeks scrunch up, it’s known she’s smiling too.

...

From the monitor screens, the BTS cameraman captures YN and Harry in their matching outfits while they’re on stage. Both of them bounce from foot to foot, shaking out their hands to loosen up before their dance number. Harry puts his hands up in front of him and YN punches them like she’s a boxer preparing for a match.

They both act very concentrated and overly focused, that is until Harry pulls a hand back a bit when one of her rings dig too deep into a part of his skin. He has a mocked fake hurt expression on his face and YN scrunches up her nose as she laughs, reaching out and cuddling his hand.

...

“Cut! Let’s reset and go again.”

Everyone goes back to their first positions, a little bit of chatter fills the room and YN takes that as an opportunity to playfully poke at his tummy. “Y’doing really great, H. What’s wrong?”

“Think m’just nervous or somewhat. I was doing it fine in rehearsals. Dunno what m’doing wrong.” Harry almost rakes his fingers through his hair but quickly remembers not to mess up his already styled hairstyle, so he goes to adjust the waistband of his trousers instead.

YN can feel his frustration already beginning to seep in and she’s not going to let a couple of missed steps ruin his shoot. The whole day has been filled with laughter, giddy smiles, and just overall excitement by doing a project together.

“Can I tell yeh a secret?” YN asks her boyfriend. Harry automatically furrows his eyebrows in concern, giving her his full attention at the drop of a hat. He’s always willing to push past his concerns to focus on hers.

“Of course. Always.” He softly plays with her fingers between them.

“M’nervous too.” YN whispers with the corners of her lips tugging up in a smile and there’s a sense of relief brought to both of them: Harry for not feeling alone in his anxiety and YN for helping him calm down. “Just count out loud like we did in rehearsal, yeh? I do it all the time.”

“Play back. Everyone ready? Alright, ready in 3...2...1, action!”

“5, 6, 7, 8 and 1...” YN says softly, Harry matching her movements as he finds his groove again. Both have their arms out, hands bent down as they hop their way down the stage. As they look to each other, YN gives him a quick wink before moving onto their next move.

Once the director yells “And that’s a wrap!” Harry stands upright from his bent backwards position in his love’s arms and immediately wraps his arms around the tops of her shoulders. Their bellies move against each other as they both try to catch their breath, both a little sweaty but they can honestly care less.

The crew members, Sarah’s band, and the dancers all cheer and clap as everything comes to a close.

Too caught up in adrenaline, Harry doesn’t really think twice about giving YN a quick kiss and an ‘I love you.’ His dimples dig into his cheeks as she says it back with no hesitancy and he pulls her back to his chest.

okay okay so first of all. this band is so good. they have so many banger ass songs and that cannot be denied. HOWEVER in my heart To Tundra will always reign supreme. like holy shit. it's got lyrics like "meet me at st. nicholas among the oaks, behind the church that sway like pig-tailed girls as summer wind whistles around your bare-skin knees and the forsythia leaves" and "we take on the burden of all these sad-eyed children with lilies bunched in our hands" like. those lyrics are so visceral and potent they literally leave me with my mouth hanging wide open after i hear them. oh my GOD that song is magical

some of my other favorite songs lyrically is OBVIOUSLY tiptoe through the true bits. that's the song that whenever i hear it i have to stop literally everything i'm doing, turn up the volume as loud as it will go, close my eyes and just absorb the Vibes. it's so gorgeous AHHHHHH. the bit that makes my heart go !!!!!! is the part where it goes "the bed-spread decked in suns and moons and symbols of the star-signs, how you read how mine applied to how I would be sex-wise." like that paired with the little guitar picking up in the back and the drums kicking in are SO GOOD AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

AND. IN MEDIA RES. that song changed my life genuinely. like WOW. the whole vibe of it, especially the end when the trumpets (i think they're trumpets at least) kick in and gareth goes "if you were given the option of dying painlessly in peace at 45 with a lover at your side, after a full and happy life, is this something that would interest you? would this interest you at all?" like WOW what an existential crisis moment while you feel like you're running through a rainy field. man that hits yknow

ALSO i am emotionally attached to Documented Minor Emotional Breakdown #4. i dont know why but the first time i ever heard it my brain latched its claws onto it and now it wont fucking let go. so whenever i hear the guitar at the beginning i am Legally Obligated to belt out at the top of my lungs "I RESTORED YOUR MOTHER'S FAITH IN MEN WHILST BORING YOU TO DEATH LEFT NOTHING MORE THAN A CIRCLE OF STUBBLE RASH AROUND YOUR CHEST--"

AND!!!!!!!!! for flotsam also has a very special place in my heart. i love the lyrics in that one, particularly "summer of odd-numbered year" like. MY GUYS YOU ARE SO CREATIVE???? all of your football metaphors to describe your boredom and emotions. like i don't watch football but you go guys i think its so kickass. i love you los campesinos. also the bit where they go "flotsam, jetsam, and spindrift, all the girls i have loved, dumped to earth by a spendthrift, gilt angels from above" with the "aaaahhh" in the back and the very faint piano in the background that i can only hear when i'm listening to it with my gaming headphones on bc my gaming headphones have really good mid range. just AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

AND WHAT DEATH LEAVES BEHIND TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 fun little fact this was the first song that i listened to when i first decided to listen to their discography all the way through. and let's just say that was a VERY good start because i was very impressed right off the bat. like "i was the first match struck at the first cremation, you are my shallow grave, I'll tend you as a sexton, if you're the casket door that's being slammed upon me, i'll be a plague cross painted on your naked body" LIKE HOLY SHIT. THATS SO EVOCATIVE. HOW DO YOU USE SO MANY METAPHORS AND BIG WORDS. THEYRE SO GOOD AT WORDS. i love listening to this one because it is so lyrically complex and yet it all goes together so well auuugghhhhhhhh

also since i started university recently, hung empty rings very near and dear to my heart. like the bit in the bridge that goes "my vision is fading, it's blurry, there are fingerprints all over the sun, we're glad to be loved but we're lonely and we feel like we're the only ones." like. that's the experience of moving out right there!!! i don't know where the fuck i am and i'm so lonely but it feels so bright and new and cinematic. this song Gets me on the most fundemental level it feels so very College-Esque

ALSOOOOOOO she crows!!!!!!!!!!!11 i LOVE she crows. someone inject this song into my veins Right This Fucking Instant. i need to live and breathe this song right now. just the instrumentals combined with the anthemic feel of the song really seals the feeling of looking back on your life and all of your mistakes and acknowledging that all of them brought you to where you are now. especially the end bit, i don't know why, but when it goes "big tip for the pretty girl waiting the IHOP, these blank napkins/unwritten suicide notes, it's dark inside these eyelids, blacker than the ink (squid)" it really feels like the end of the day. these are the lyrics that buzz like caffiene in your veins as you sit outside a dutchbros at eleven pm surrounded by the only people you feel like you can be yourself around. it's the feeling of cold biting at your skin while your heart feels warm and full. it feels like an open finale, the first time you smile in a long time, an acceptance of the complex beauty of life, that unforgettable moment when you realize that you wouldn't trade who you've become for the world

and CODA A BURN SCAR IN THE SHAPE OF THE SOONER STATE. I LOVE CODA SO MUCH AGH. PERFECT CRYING IN THE SHOWER SONG. like the lyric "an artist's impression of the manhattan skyline" will get me fucking SOBBING immediately. it feels like watching the world move on without you, the world a blur as you crumple inward under the weight of your emotions, a collapsing star in an endless void. and then obviously "i can't believe i chose the mountains every time you chose the sea" WOAH the SYMBOLISM i will just pass away right here in my dormitory with my headphones on. no sorry professor i can't write my essay i am unwell about the romance is boring album again. sorry yeah i'll be unavailable for 3-5 buisness weeks
