GENSHIN CHARACTERS AND HOW YOU MET THEM!
[🐰] fluff. gender neutral reader. bulleted form headcanons. wanderer is kind of annoying here. (smh). includes swearing and not proofread. likes and reblogs are very much appreciated!
Tumblr media
Al Haitham
You met Al Haitham, an Akademiya scholar at the Grand Bazaar while assisting Nilou through her performance. While you are not a dancer, you enjoy helping people in the Zubayr Theater as you grew up in a family that’s into art and performing.
Scholars from the Akademiya gave you the stereotype that all of them hated seeing individuals who pursued art rather than knowledge. Al Haitham was not free from this. he’s the one whom you are wary of. You often see him holding a book, scolding poor scholars on the verge of crying, and alone. Plus, he’s been visiting the bazaar ever since the higher-ups warned Nilou about closing the theater. The problem was resolved, of course, with the help of Nilou’s and traveler’s doing.
You glared at Al Haitham. Worried that he’ll approach you and say that what you’re doing is not worth it or you’re just wasting your time. Surprisingly, he just walked outside the bazaar.
Little did you know, he always walks around the bazaar as he’s interested in you. He always sees you accompanying Nilou and helping around the theater he can’t help but observe you. He knew your family but he’s not well acquainted with them, hence, why he wants to get to know you.
Of course, he does not want to admit that he’s also enamored by your smile that’s always plastered on your face every time he sees you at the bazaar. Perhaps he’ll approach you tomorrow.
Xiao
He saw you on the way back to the Wangshu Inn crying. He was confused and troubled as he didn’t know what to do. He only knows how to kill and protect, not to comfort. So he decided to approach you and ask what was wrong gently.
You lifted your head and quickly wiped your tears. You gently backed away as there was a stranger in front of you. Your first thought was “Stranger danger” and Xiao was shocked by your actions. He backed away and gave you some space.
Great. Now this person thinks I’m an enemy. Xiao thought. Hopefully, you can at least recognize him as an adepti so he can escape the embarrassment he feels right now. He figured that you had gained your senses as you quickly stood up and apologized for mistaking him for a weirdo. Xiao accepted it and was about to walk away but you stopped him.
“Can you forget what you saw earlier? I’m sorry you had to see that and I promise not to be dramatic in public again. I’ll even treat you for a week! So please, just forget it.” Now, to say that Xiao was shocked was an understatement. A mortal treating him… for a week even is a brave move. He has karmic debt that can affect people and you’re not even bothered by it. He turned down the favor yet you’re still persistent and in the end…. You got what you want. You managed to invite an adepti to dinner for a week.
And on the last day, he found out that you don’t even know that he’s an adepti. You only thought that he was a vision bearer, which explains his odd look. Now, he has to deal with you who’s bowing on the floor and apologizing profusely for not recognizing and paying respect to an adepti.
Scaramouche/Wanderer
You bumped into him in the woods in Sumeru. He was running away from Nahida who was nagging him to celebrate his birthday and visit the traveler at least. You bumped into him and landed on your butt, looked up, and a strange man was in front of you.
You immediately apologized and he just shrugged it off. Thinking you’re already forgiven, you walked away but he stopped you with a hand on your wrist. You’re confused and he answered you with a cold “Make it up to me” statement. “Huh?” “Don’t huh me, mortal.”
Oh god. You already hate his guts. “Listen, I don’t have time for that. I still have to go home and celebrate my birthday with my cat who’s alone right now.” Hah. You idiots have the same birthday. “Then I’ll go with you.” You looked at him like he had just said something crazy. I mean yes, he did but why? “I’m not joking. I’ll go with you and celebrate our birthday together with your cat.”
If you’re confused before this take the cake. “Well, mister, Happy birthday. But I don’t want a stranger to be invited into my home and spend time with me and my cat. I gotta go.” you pleaded, putting your best puppy eyes so he’ll let you go. He cringed at your actions and smirked “If you don’t let me then I’ll burn the documents in your hands right now.”  What the fuck? This guy’s insane!
Panicking, you finally invited him to your house. To your surprise, he was obedient and quiet the whole time you walked to your house. He was also gentle to your cat, he’s practically babying it. You also gave him a separate cake that he could blow the candle for his wishes. For the rest of the night, the three of you spent the day filled with snarky comments, meows from your cat, and snores.
Your cat slept on his lap while he was sitting and his head was thrown back at your couch, and you were on the other side of the couch lying down.
Zhongli
Your trip to Liyue has been great so far. The people are welcoming and accommodating to tourists like you. However, you still feel like you are missing something to check while you're in the nation.
You've already tried Chef Xiangling's dishes, take pictures of the vast mountains of Liyue, and visited the adept's temples. Yet, it's still incomplete…. What is it?
It's the last day of your trip in Liyue so you wanted to make the most out of it yet you've already hit rock bottom on what else to do. You decided to pray to the Lord of Geo to guide you and as if He heard your prayer, a gentleman gently approached you and you were starstruck.
"I suppose you're a tourist?" the gentleman asked. You gulped, wide-eyed, still frozen as someone handsome like him approached you. "Uhm… Yeah! Yeah, I am…. It's my last day but I don't know what else to do. I get it that you're a local?" you blabbered, blushing at your sudden rise of voice.
He smiled, "Yeah, I am. If you do not mind, would you be willing to try out Liyue’s cuisine and tea with me?”
Wow… what an offer! But why? Isn’t he a local? Why is he still inviting me? “Well, sure. If it’s not too much of a bother then why not? Lead the way, mister?” “Zhongli, please don’t call me mister, just Zhongli is fine,” he replied.
You spent your day with Zhongli visiting various restaurants and trying on different foods on the menu. You realize that he’s not fond of seafood and has a lot of knowledge regarding Liyue’s history and art. Zhongli has a sophisticated taste when it comes to Liyue’s dishes and art.
The night is coming to an end and the ship you will be boarding will arrive soon. Your last day has been fun yet there’s a twinge of sadness and disappointment in your chest that you cannot describe. Maybe because you managed to enjoy this day with Zhongli but also this is the last day of spending time with him. You wonder if you’ll ever go back to Liyue and meet Zhongli again.
“I appreciate your company, Zhongli.” He looked at you and smiled, “I enjoyed this trip with you too. I hope that you will come back to Liyue again.” You can’t help but look at him, mesmerized by his golden eyes that resemble the shiny Cor Lapis Zhongli showed you earlier. You feel your face warming up and can’t help to awkwardly cough to mask your face. “Well, I will be coming back… Although, I don’t know when since I will be busy with my job after this trip. But I promise I’ll be back!” you beamed. “That’s a relief.” “Oh? Why is that? Is Mr. Zhongli a clingy person perhaps? Will you miss me?” you teased him hoping that he'd give you a reaction other than a gentle smile and it worked. Zhongli’s face was so flushed that he covered it with his gloved hand while looking away from you. “I suppose you are right. I will miss you.”
Oh. Oh. Fuck. You didn’t expect that. “Well... Uhm… Ah… I should be going now! My ship could be here anytime! I’ll go now, Mr. Zhong—I mean Zhongli!” you panicked, not knowing where to look and what to say. I mean how can you not? A handsome gentleman admitting that he’ll miss you? Not to mention, you have only met today! On your last day! “Alright, have a safe trip. I wish you well and good luck with your work. I will miss you.” Fuck. Once again, Zhongli knows what words to say to fluster you further. I suppose it’s safe to say that you’ll come back to Liyue much earlier than you anticipated.
Tumblr media
I got carried with Zhongli tbh.... Can you believe that I started writing this back in January and only managed to finish it this November. Almost a year haha.... reblogs are really appreciated as the tumblr system revolves around it!

"banyak yang tak ku ahli, begitu pula menyambutmu tak kembali." | xiao
translates to: there are a lot of things i am not good at; including accepting the fact that you're not coming back home. notes: i feel so sick im gonna puke he's my favorite why am i doing this to him / hehe bawled my eyes out writing this / the title came from a song called 'rumpang' by nadin amizah. warning: angst, death (reader's)
loving you is so easy, that’s what xiao thinks. and for a man who’s dead set on not letting anyone tear off the walls caving around his heart, that’s saying a lot.
xiao had always attracted attention; whether by his superb strength, unworldly striking appearance, and of course the tale of the conqueror of demon that hardly left the shouts of the storytellers and whispers amongst liyue residents.
where most people approached him with mere curiosity and no more, they’re quick to run off after witnessing the cruelty in how he fights. yet, no one stayed to see the way he staggered as the outcome of using his eerie power got to him. wounded and alone, that’s how he spent most of his time.
fortunately, that’s how he met you that day. so troublesome, so unnecessarily selfless he thought, that you pull out what’s already a limited resources from your bag, treating his wounds like he’s a broken glass—the notion almost made him chuckle. “i am an illuminated beast, i have grown accustomed to injuries like this,” xiao said, as he made no effort to move his arm as you inspect it. “whatever being you are, even if you’re used it it means nothing. you’re still hurt.”
in the same day, verr goldet looked like as if she saw a miracle when xiao returned to wangshu inn, with you beside him as you assist him. well can anybody blame her? the yaksha who seemed to adore teleporting away to nobody knows where is now willingly be helped? what’s next, xiao falls in love?
that thought meant to be a sarcastic statement since that time it had zero percent probability on happening. but alas, that’s exactly what happened.
to be fair, xiao himself has erased his ties with that term. it’s always been a strange concept for him to grasp—the only time he’s close into perhaps understanding it, his fellow yakshas succumbed to their karmic debt; leaving him alone. and since, he’s no interested in something remotely even close that will involve his own emotions.
however like it’s said. loving you was easy, even especially for xiao. your kindness, compassion, quirks he finds amusing—your insistence. long he’s standing in mortal world, being with you somehow were the only times where he felt human. the loud thumping in his chest, the weird tight grip in his stomach, a warm sensation inside his chest. these lovely traits that somehow always revolved around you.
“ah, this must be love. i am sure.” he pondered to no one.
overjoyed did not even begin to explain the feelings he experienced when you reciprocated his endearment. from then on, xiao finally rediscover the exhilaration running through his veins that he have something to look forward to each day. being with you.
from then on, many times were spent together, many dates were planned, lots of kisses were shared. the talks, the laughs, the stories unfolded. love happened.
still, all good things must come to an end, don’t they?
it all happened so fast, a rare time where the yaksha was momentarily distracted as you both were spending a nice time together in jueyun karst; an arrow you saw coming directly to your lover and your body moved without thinking, shielding xiao from the impact as the sharp object impaled you straight on the chest that you gasped.
and more than when he was surrounded by hundreds of enemy in the archons war, so much more than when liyue’s safety was compromised, xiao was panicked.
anger blinded him as he swiftly obliterated the threat before rushing to your side, holding your head close to his side. “stay, please.” he cried out desperately, sensing how little the life you have left. “xiao.. i love.. you.” you managed to let out the last of what you could force out and you were grateful that you were able to say that to him for the last time. after a few more seconds, the noise of painful breath hitching your throat grew silent, and xiao knew the body he’s currently hugging so tight, holds no more of your life.
xiao laid your corpse on the field where glaze lilies scattered—your favorite. he took you in once more, caressing your face so softly. “when i say mortals are weak, was this how you plan to prove me wrong? by dying to protect me? if it was i concede defeat once more, my love. you’re right—as always. so will you please wake up?”
drops of tears fell from his eyes, the guarded and unwavering yaksha broke down into heart-wrenching sobs and screams of agony.
his grief quickly twisted in to an unimaginable wrath, a story of where a portion of jueyun karst was ruined unfolded. it could be more, but fortunately morax was there catch the news as he was promptly forced to use a fraction of his power to appease the raging adeptus.
“i am only excellent at fighting and everything that evolved in the world of violent, that’s it.” is what he always says, and the statement remains to be true, xiao is indeed not good at a lot of things. he just did not realize before one of them is accepting the fact the people dear to him will always leave, somehow.
you, who’s sweet, so utterly sweet that you made him forget momentarily about his fondness towards almond tofu. the lightness you brought, the marvel—no the art, of being near you; if almond tofu reminded him of how dreams tasted, you introduced him to a whole another level of wonderment. “archons, perhaps this feeling is as close i can get to experience what celestia must felt like—and it’s enough.” he thought.
you, whose promises were too good to be true but xiao couldn’t help but still lured—he thought it was okay if it’s you. who so easily made him relent and believed at another eternity where he’s freed from the darkness and karmic debt. a quaint little peace of mind where he’s assured if it’s with you, he can be finally be happy.
oh, how naive of the yaksha who lived through two thousand years.
how naive.

Here's a bit more fandom history for everyone.
It's been a long time since I've heard this incident talked about, but I guess turtles are reminiscing a bit about the kind of things GG's fans subject him to, and this has come back up.
Back in 2019 when GG was in Nanjing for The Untamed fan meet, a hotel staff member left this adorable Jianguo pillow with a little note 'from Jianguo' wishing him success with the concert. GG clearly enjoyed it because he posted it on his Oasis.
At first shrimps were enjoying it because they assumed it was a shrimp who'd done it, but when they realized it was a turtle they freaked out and launched a major cyberbullying campaign against the turtle and flooded the hotel with hundreds of phone calls complaining and trying to get her fired. Some of them threatened to keep calling the hotel every day and overwhelm the phone lines until she was fired.
GG had no choice but to delete the photo. He replaced it with a solid black image, and put the line, "post whatever you want" in his profile.
Tumblr media
Just imagine how awful he must have felt, that his fans attacked and harassed a sweet fan who'd made him a lovely gift, nearly getting her fired - all from a post he made showing his appreciation for this cute, thoughtful gift.
If you wonder why GG and DD don't acknowledge turtles and why GG hasn't mentioned XFX by name in years, this is a bit of a clue as to why. GG especially has a lot of reason to be wary of being too personal and open with fans (and no doubt 227 didn't help with that at all). GG and DD know that acknowledging turtles will only harm them and lead to more hate and war from solos.
And GG has repeatedly said - including in his statement on the anniversary of 227, which was the first time he made a direct personal statement about it - that he doesn't believe anyone should identify as "I am ___'s fan."
"I want to tell my fans, everyone has the right to like and hate. No matter if you like or hate, it should be respected and allowed in their own spaces. Of course, this right should be based on rationality and not hurting other people, while following accurate values. I hope that my fans can understand that no matter what field or age, your personal likes and actions shouldn't cross the line or go against that field's ethics or morals. No matter if it's on the Internet or in real life, everyone should be responsible for their own actions. Even more, hope that none of us should be represented by the label 'xxx's fan.'"
GG realizes something that XFX can't seem to get through their heads: when you speak of "fans of Xiao Zhan," that is not synonymous with "XFX," no matter how much they would like everyone to believe that they're his only fan group. Actually, turtles are GG's fans also, as are all people who love and support GG, regardless of how they identify themselves and regardless of how deep or casual is their appreciation for him.
So pretty much ever since this era, and especially after 227, you never hear GG refer to his solo fandom by name. And I don't think that's because he has contempt or disregard for them (although I don't doubt he must harbor 'feelings' about everything they've put him through), rather I think it's because he wants to be inclusive toward all of his supporters, and not let it be thought that he doesn't appreciate everyone, regardless of 'affiliation'.

#the perfect family
—you’re a spy, and you need a perfect family in order to attain world peace
CHARACTERS. assassin! Albedo, Ayato, Xiao; gn!reader (w/ mind reader! Klee, Sayu, Qiqi respectively)
THEMES. This is absolutely inspired by Spy X Family… and you guessed it, if you know the story, this is gonna be crack (mostly) and fluff. spy au. the children are mind-readers and the three men are assassins.
NOTES. I’ve had this in my drafts for like one month and i am sO glad that i am finally done with it. this is very fun to write indeed tho! btw i was about to include diona and diluc here but like,,, i dont see them getting along AT ALL (but if someone requests them hmmmmm why not, just with different dynamics than the other three)
Tumblr media
ALBEDO
When you had first heard of Klee, you also hear the name “Albedo”
Of course, as someone who’s in need of both a child AND a husband, you decided that they were the perfect pair for the role. Not only was Klee seen as a “child” of this man, but the child gets along with everybody, and that would mean it would be quite easy to please her.
Albedo, who was a genius assassin, is actually in need of a spouse as well. After all, people in the police station were beginning to wonder why he is still single. And yes, he is a detective—as much as he is an assassin. It’s just that his fellow peers did not know he is actually a contract assassin, of course, he was making sure it is very well hidden. As someone who believes the statement “Keep your friends close and enemies closer,” (of course, he can’t just poison these nitwits no matter how much he hated their guts) this is something he thought of doing the moment he had reached the point where he needed a job to hide his original occupation—the one that pays much higher.
And besides, he was doing a far better job than these “police officers” who most of the time do not particularly care about the people and take money from offenders when they are rich.
At the same time, he also has to protect Klee. People knew her as his child, but she’s actually his adoptive little sister. Their mother, which is technically his boss as well, is always absent. He did not care how the public saw him and his sister, as long as she is safe, then everything is okay.
But the thing is, it is not.
Now, he needs to find a “spouse,” fake or not.
You were just in timing.
The moment he saw you, you were with Klee, saying that you had come across the girl on your walk and had walked her back home when she could not find her way home. At that moment, he remembered your face. You were in the documents that Kaeya had brought him the other day who had clear records and was living alone. You were single.
“Albedo, Albedo, what do you think of them? Y/n?” Klee had asked him that day, to which he answered with;
“They seem nice,” he smiles, “Did you have fun with them, Klee?”
“Klee had fun!” the girl grins brightly, then her mood changes, “does Albedo like Y/n?”
He tilts his head to the side, quite confused why she was asking this, “I don’t think there’s a reason to dislike them.” After all, Y/n has clear records, seems capable, and he definitely needs someone like that. For both him and Klee.
Unbeknownst to Albedo, Klee had read his mind and took it upon herself to “matchmake” the two of you. After all, Klee also knew that you were “interested” in her “father” as well.
“Y/n, Y/n, stay with us for dinner!”
“Y/n, Y/n, play with Klee and father!”
Albedo was quite curious as to why Klee had suddenly called him “father”, as she had never outrightly referred to him as such, but he had merely brushed it off, especially when she was making it easy for him to win you over. It was actually the same for you. No matter how confused you are and questioned how it all felt like it was going fast, your acting skills were pulling through.
You both pretended to be dating and soon came to the conversation where you needed someone to be your “fake” husband. Of course, you did not say anything about your mission, and you still were worried he’d reject you.
But he did not.
“Of course,” he smiles, “when will be the wedding?”
At that time, your heart skipped a beat but you misinterpreted it as excitement that your mission was going well.
Giddy, you unconsciously held one of his hands, “Last year,” you paused, realizing your mistake, “I mean, what if we got married last year instead?”
Thus began the fake family you all had established with your collective efforts.
Tumblr media
AYATO
You were referred to Sayu by a friend of yours—Kana. She told you that the girl’s identity is not that much known and that she’s very much trained as a fighter at a young age. As much as you did not like the fact that someone taught a child to fight, you found this useful since this is, in fact, a dangerous job.
Sayu is lazy, but Kana also said that she is obedient and responsible.
When you met the little girl, all of what Kana said was the absolute truth. So you asked her as well if she had any information about single men as well. And that was how you came to know Ayato, who will be your husband.
Oh, I apologize, your current husband. As it will be written that you two had been married for two years and adopted Sayu a year later.
You had no idea who your husband was, but you trusted Kana’s intuition when she referred you to him, who for one accepted to be in a contract marriage with you. Of course, you mentioned you have a child, but you did not tell him that Sayu had just been adopted a few days ago and not a year ago.
But he sure did notice that Sayu was good at fighting. Or at least, has a bit of knowledge.
“Our Sayu has talent,” you heard him—your now-husband (you still could not comprehend you had to call him husband somehow) say one day, amused, referring to how Sayu was complaining how she was watching a movie about martial arts and noticed the little mistakes the actors were doing. “What do you say about enrolling her on a varsity team?
He seems to have said this without thinking and when he looked to you, who was now gaping at him without saying a word, he awkwardly smiles, “It’s just an idea. I think it would be a waste to try to give it a chance.”
“No, no, of course,” you broke the contact and looked away, now aware that he is actually quite observant—very observant, “let us ask Sayu if she wants to. But I don’t mind as long as she really wants it.”
Of course, your current husband is observant, he is an assassin for goodness’ sake… but you did not know that.
In the end, Sayu did get into martial arts, which is during the weekends, to give way to her school days on the weekdays. Of course, it is still the priority, as the main purpose of this mission of yours was to get your “child” to get the attention of your current target, as it was seemingly the only way to get close to the target.
Personally, you hated using others or relying on others in missions, but as you simply could not just dress yourself as a child and a spouse all in one seating, you had no choice.
“How are you faring in your new school, Sayu?” you had inquired your daughter one weekend night during dinner—which you had cooked and your husband had helped with the plating. Just the plating. Apparently, Ayato is quite elegant in all aspects of his life… maybe except for his cooking. Not that the meals he cooks are entirely inedible, but sometimes he would spice something overly or that there is just something wrong with it that you could not particularly point out.
“Boring.” Sayu had let out, unconsciously, in her defense, but she immediately corrects herself when the word caught both you and Ayato’s attention. “I mean, they’re all boring! I… I already know m-most of them! The lessons, I mean.” Sayu stutters, but she brightens up when you and Ayato smiled at her.
“Our Sayu is really intelligent, isn’t she?” Ayato mused.
You hummed in response, going back to your meal. “You should still listen to the teacher, dear. The teachers at that school would most likely ask about things that they say in the lessons.” How did you know? Well, of course, you had seen samples of their questionnaires.
Unbeknownst to you, Sayu’s jaw dropped as she had read your mind. Silently, she wished you could just tell her the answers already.
But she could just sneak into your room when both you and father are away to find the questionnaires if you wouldn’t.
Tumblr media
XIAO
Qiqi is special, you knew that the moment you had come across her in the orphanage. She’s quiet, very forgetful… and apparently, she was also the only one who could read and write amongst the other children.
You were quite sure you were forming a bond with her and that you’ve already cleared that she was to go to school after 3 months. What you didn’t know… is that she already knew you before you even approached her.
As a mind reader, Qiqi is quite unnerved by everyone. No one had particularly impressed her since everyone she had encountered was quite… bland, so to speak. You? You were special. You were muttering in your head how much you needed someone who could help you “save the world” and for some reason, she was intrigued by it.
“Is this… to save the world?” she had asked one time as you and she was buying books to help her prepare for the entrance exam.
You did not mind the words in her question, for you were too busy trying to search for academic books and pencils, “Yes, children are the future of the world, so this would help save the world.”
And thus began the misunderstanding between you and the child.
Xiao is an assassin—of course, for the “good.” He was hired to protect the people from corrupt men and to do the “dirty work” that no one else can do. That’s what assassins like him were.
Lately, though, his boss told him one thing: “Find an identity.”
What the hell was that?—he thought. But then his boss began saying that he should have a normal identity for the normal world in order to not be suspected in the future, for his safety as well.
“Actually, make that an assignment,” his boss says.
Thus now, he’s in search of a job. Sure, his streaming in Twitch may be considered one, but he’s not really allowed to show his face, of course, because of his assassin job, so now he has to quit that and find something… normal.
That’s when he found you.
Of course, he was quite surprised when he saw you had a child. How dare he suddenly cling to someone with a family already! What if he had asked you out unknowingly that you have a spouse?! Not only is that embarrassing but he could also be entangled in an affair that might lead him straight to court, straight to prison, and even straight to his death if anyone ever found out anything about his true occupation!
He could just feel the shivers run down his spine.
When Qiqi read Xiao’s mind and yours, she did not know what to do except say the words:
“Qiqi… Qiqi doesn’t have a papa… He can be my papa…”
Now, Qiqi was merely amused over the fact that both you and this stranger have the same thoughts about saving the world and needing a spouse to do that. She’s merely a child but it does not hurt to help you two out, right?
“Qiqi, I…” you hesitated for a bit as you awkwardly smiled at Xiao, “I apologize if that offended you, sir… It’s just that… it has been a while since her father died. My husband… he kind of looked a lot like you.”
You definitely did not rehearse with the child, but it was as if she was reading your mind, Qiqi did not say anything that entailed you as a liar. You could only thank the Archons or whoever was listening to you despite not heavily being a believer.
Surprisingly, it was not too long until this “family” had been established, as you had gotten your newly appointed husband to agree to your plans.
Qiqi thinks that this “family” is quite good—better, actually. Better than the orphanage. Better than her previous “home”, if she could even call it one.
However, Qiqi wanted something else.
“Coco goat…”
“Hm? What was that, darling?” you had inquired, as you did not particularly understand-
“Coco goat… Qiqi wants a coco goat.”
At that moment, you had looked over your husband with confusion written all over your face.
To which he replied, “I have no idea what that is.”
In the end, you both got her a cat instead. And a goat stuff toy.

Morax does not press you for a response as to what you plan to do regarding your shopping. A day passes and if he's honest, he finds it strange that you choose to silently cope with the little you have rather than reach out to him and ask for help. In fact, the help you brought with you seems to be more comfortable in the new surroundings than you are, fitting perfectly in with the staff.
“She will not engage with me.” Morax says to a frustrated Xiao, running a hand through his untied hair. A few unread letters litter his otherwise pristine desk, and the sleeves of his casual gear displace them further as he moves them out of his eyeline. His statement, despite not having the intended effect, is meant to calm Xiao somehow—to show him that the current lack of progress is not from a lack of trying. “I cannot help a person who does not desire it.”
“Then you should consider engaging with her.” Xiao’s hands remain firmly clasped behind his back. Morax might not be as much of a stickler for tradition as many think, but in situations like these, it’s best to err on the side of caution. Especially when Xiao is telling him something that he very likely does not want to hear.
“It is not my intention to smother her. She does not have to like me.” Morax says through gritted teeth. “We do not have to be friends.”
Xiao pointedly ignores the tension in the king’s frame. Perhaps he isn't lying, and he truly does not care whether you like him or not, but the origin of the king’s frustration is a topic of his curiosity.
“Some might say you are as stubborn as she is. Perhaps you might use that similarity to understand what she is experiencing.”
Morax looks at Xiao properly then, and Xiao expects to hear a light-hearted reprimand, but it does not come. Instead, he hears a quiet, defeated, exhale.
Alanna too, finds herself curious at your actions. You have been taking your meals in your room after the dinner you had with his majesty, and if she had not known that you were out of fresh clothes to wear, she might have assumed that he had offended you somehow.
“Your Highness,” she starts, but the look you give her from across the room cuts her off.
“Please speak freely. I no longer possess the title you address me with.” you say quietly, sitting up from your sprawled position on your bed.
Alanna clears her throat. “Is spending time with the king so agonising that you’d rather don the same sleep gown for consecutive days than be with him?”
You sigh and close the cover of the book Alanna had kindly found for you whilst exploring the grounds. “I do not enjoy relying on others. If I were to go out to town, I would be forced to wear what I wore when we arrived. I will not be caught in such a predicament.”
In Alanna's opinion, your thought process will not serve you in the long term. In fact, the longer you spend refusing to leave, the harder it will be to express your needs when push ultimately comes to shove.
“Perhaps you ought to take the steps necessary to make your time here more agreeable.” Alanna notes the glare you send her way and sighs. “I am not suggesting you seduce him.”
“And I thank the Archons for that.”
“But I am suggesting that you use this opportunity to make a friend.”
“I do not lack friends.” You reply petulantly. However, having grown up with Alanna, you know you cannot conceal the truth from her. You had never truly ventured out of the palace’s territory unless it was on royal excursions, be it recreational or for charitable deeds. Perhaps you thought you were friends with the palace staff, but they likely thought of you as the child of their employer and nothing more than that, regardless of how friendly you were.
“Count them.” Alanna smiles. “And you are not to include me.”
Alanna chuckles at your silence, and the petulant look on your face as you try and fail to count a single friend you have. “Perhaps you might consider making your first friend today.” Alanna starts. You know where she’s going wit this and you glance at her incredulously. “He is not poisonous.”
“But he is unpredictable. He claims he does not want me as his wife, yet he invites me to dinner. He claims he will protect my family anyhow, yet will not allow me to remain with them. He is contrary, and that scares me.”
Alanna can’t help but stare at you. You are a completely different woman from the one who left her home less than a week ago. You never would have dared to utter the words you are now. You would have chosen instead to hold it in until your dying breath and never mention your feelings to anyone. And although she wishes she could have been the person to bring out this side of you and not him, she is glad that it has happened. Before Alanna can comment on this, there’s a knock at the door, and she excuses herself to the bathroom.
“Who is it?” you call out, adjusting your robe. It is unseemly to answer a door in such a state of disarray, but when you’re insisting on being this stubborn, there’s nothing else that can be done.
“Do you have visitors here often enough that you feel the need to differentiate between each one?” Morax replies, and you scowl at him from behind the door. If you had opened the door, you might have noticed the mirth and teasing in his eyes. Why must he have an answer for everything? Your silence seems to say enough to him, and he continues to speak. “Forgive me if I am speaking out of turn, but I am concerned for you. It is not healthy to be confined in your room for such a long period of time.”
“You are concerned for my wellbeing?”
“Yes.”
“You were not worried when you removed me from my home.” You hiss. Perhaps you are lucky that you cannot open the door in your current state of undress, for uttering these words to his face might have proved difficult. “You were not worried when you bought me like bread in a marketplace.”
“You seem to misunderstand my actions.”
“What is there to misunderstand? You claim you will take care of my kingdom regardless of whether I marry you or not, but yet, I am still here. What good does it serve you to house a woman you have no intention of marrying? Do you not see how that might cause someone discomfort?”
“The situation is tense. It is not my place to speak on a subject that does not concern me.”
“You cannot tell me the reason why I have been uprooted from my home, but you can pester me incessantly. You claim it does not concern you, but here I am, in your territory.” you scoff.
“I am not in a position where I can tell you the information you are asking of me. I apologise. However, I cannot allow you to rot in your room out of hatred for me. I do not ask that you conceal or manipulate your feelings towards me, but I ask that you don't allow them to cause you harm.”
“My feelings cannot harm me anymore than you would.”
Morax’s sigh is exasperated, tired. He cannot reason with someone who does not want to be reasoned with. But he cannot allow you to return home any time soon, and when you can return, your people will need you more than ever. It is in your best interests that he provides you a place to thrive. And that he will do. He will succeed. He has never once failed before.
“I understand that your assistant has requested some clothes for you. My reason for being here is to deliver them to you.” Aside from the fact that you’re surprised Alanna was comfortable enough with others in the palace already to ask for such things from you, you’re surprised that the request was passed to the king himself. Surely a task like this is below his pay grade.
“Am I to believe that you don’t pay people to cover such menial tasks?”
“You are to believe that I do not have any ill will towards you.” He says lowly. “And if I had, you would have fallen victim to it already.”
His words render you silent as you consider them. It makes sense. Despite all the inconsistencies and things you don't understand, this line of reasoning makes sense to you. Is he truly just doing this out of the kindness of his own heart? Is he that kind of person?
You sigh heavily and open the door. Morax extends the package of clothes out to you, and you thank him. Perhaps if you weren't so occupied with your thoughts, you might have noticed the way his eyes scan you, taking stock of everything to make sure you truly aren't harmed.
“While I understand your desire to remain cautious—” He starts, but you cut him off.
“You are right. I was being unreasonable.” You hold the clothes to your chest.
“Those are not the words I would have used,” Morax chuckles, and the sound is so new to you that you forget what you were about to say. His expression softens slightly, and you find yourself looking at a version of him that you haven't seen before. “I have finished my duties for today, so if you wish to have a look around the palace or the harbour, I would be happy to accompany you. Or if you’d rather not—”

Grow tf up. It's been 4 years since that show finished. Yibo even removed it from his bio. Theres nothing wrong with liking a show but insisting on some delusional rpf that's harming actual people??
Hi Anon,
Thanks for spending your precious time dropping by & bravely leaving your not-so-kind comments anonymously (or should I say nasty & harsh for telling me to grow tf up) when this is OBVIOUSLY a fan blog dedicated to Yizhan. It's like you're knocking someone's door uninvited & forcing yourself to rudely barge in.
Well, there must be a good reason on why I've been purposely not hashtag individual artists' names in my posts & include only related tags & mention 'this is just my personal thoughts, CPN' to STAY IN MY OWN LANE - in my own bubble & space. This is to avoid from being discovered by people who's trying to 'start something' & serve as my own effort to protect the artists from being harmed by my words. I really despise unnecessary conflicts right when I've made myself clear on my dashboard that this is a shipper blog.
In simpler words, if you don't like it, it's not my problem. No one asked for your opinion, anon. You've got the wrong place to begin with. However, since you've dropped me an ask, let me enlighten you at the very least.
Before I start, here's some of translated versions of Xiao zhan's personal statement after the incident (which I refuse to elaborate more):
"Everyone has their own choices and freedom of expression. No matter if you like me or you hate, it's your personal right. Passion should be the source of strength for everyone. I hope that this passion doesn't exhaust or harm anyone."
Tumblr media
You can read the rest of his statement in my recent reblog or here: https://www.tumblr.com/ourbeloved1011/723921396167819264/xiao-zhans-previous-personal-statement?source=share
Here's my personal thoughts, again, CPN.
I couldn't agree more. It's crucial for everyone to take his words seriously and it's my wish to be what he wished for. I admire, respect & support both xiao zhan & yibo whole-heartedly. It's not fair for you to judge & say that this isn't fan love.
Bjyx is a fandom made up of different individuals. Not only bjyx, any fandom or group of people in this world will have the same concept.
Now, let's talk about generalization.
You can't simply generalize a group or fandom & labelling them as a whole harmful existence. Every fandom has their own good & toxic fans. You don't have any control over that. Surely, all kind of people exist in bjyx BUT same goes with solo fans. There's no exception.
It's like labelling the whole Wen clan as evil when you know very well that Wen Ning and Wen Qing aren't the same kind. In fact, they are Jiang clan's life savior. It's totally unfair.
"You should punish the people who bit you. Wen Qing & Wen Ning have never gotten their hands on anything bloody. Or do you want to execute a collective punishment?!" -The Untamed, Wei Wuxian-
Why do you need to be the exact same way as Jin's clan judgmental behavior? We never learn, we've been here before. I won't take any sides on which fandom need to be banned or which one is the 'real' supporter. Collective stereotype will never be the final answer.
I see two people in everyone. There's no point in proving this.
However, I do believe in one same group commonality. If you continuously act excessively, intentionally crossing all the boundary of morality & bring harm to others, you will belong to TOXIC FAN and ANTIs regardless of where you come from- either you are a bjyx fan or solo. I will not support any act of sexualizing & harassment behavior towards them. There's always a limit, visible lines & common sense to conduct & follow. Sadly, EXTREMISTs do exist everywhere.
Just like what xz been telling us, it's your personal right as long as your passion doesn't harm others. Joining bjyx is our right & passion to support them in our own way. Doesn't mean that you've the right to speak up or write anything that you see as 'the right way', you also have the right to blatantly disregard those who don't share the same view as yours. That's why the word RESPECT is there in life dictionary. Otherwise, human can't co-exist this long.
If you don't have anything good to say, you can just remain silent. If you can't accept & respect, just stay away & ignore. It's that simple.
I don't understand why people needlessly hurting others with their unnecessary hurtful choice of words that can leave permanent scars to others. I personally feel sorry for these people. I don't get it. I really want to understand- what's the real reason for you to be so mean & harsh & hateful? For example, telling people to grow tf up. Who are you to judge? I'm just chilling with myself without causing trouble to others.
In bjyx point of view, we just adore & admire the beautiful & deep connection that both of these guys have. It's rare to have someone that you can click so well instantly in life. We wish to support them against all the odd. That's all.
Ironically, people who freely generalize about other groups get upset & butthurt if someone generalizes about a group that they belong to. The thing is - everyone is an independent individual & fully responsible for their own actions. This is why it's important to mind our own business & stay in our own lane.
Back to your statement. Delusional fans. I'm not actually delusional. I'm very self-aware as a person. In fact, I started as someone who's neutral. It's for my own self-satisfaction to feed my curiosity. I've always been the kind that will find & dig further to know something better. It's my personal trait. I'm not blindly being a delusional fan without basis and accept every rumors I heard about them. I do observations, selectively choosing, analyzing & eventually come to a conclusion. So here I am.
If you claim us to be delusional, you can say whatever you want because your opinion doesn't represent or reflect us. Just a side note, I don't agree with those fans who are intentionally keep overanalyzing these two with every single thing they do each time. People may get annoyed by it. I can see where it's coming from. They are two different individuals with distinct originality & identity. Hence, I only believe in whatever solid reasons I personally chose & filtered to trust.
It's not my job to convince you that they're real & it's not your job to judge, raise doubts & throw hateful comments in what I believed in. No need to make others feel bad & depressed further with your painful remarks. This world is cruel enough to live in. We don't need to be liked but respecting us is not an option. Be kind.
Yes. Yibo removed it from his bio. So what? To be honest, I don't really care much about it. Friendly reminder. He removed not only the untamed but he removed ALL his dramas. Seriously, I don't see any issue. If anything, I would be grateful to Yibo for keeping the untamed there for so long.
Let me remind you of the scene where wei weixuan is forced into a situation with practicing demonic cultivation is his only option to protect himself & survive. Again, everyone is being so judgmental towards him, only to find out later- the real reason why he chose that path. My point is, don't assume something as if we know everything. Anything people put out to share is calculated. You're allowed to see things that they ONLY ALLOW you to see.
What do you mean by these shippers harming actual people? There are plenty pictures everywhere during Yuehua concert, the whole arena was mostly filled with bjyx fans led lights, yellow, green & red- all coming to support Yibo. Not only concert, they've been continuously supporting both of them in other projects and events in the past until today.
'True' fans won't bring any harm to the artist no matter how good their intention is. Boycotting isn't the answer. It brings more damaged to the artist than good.
Tell me. Who's gonna be there if it's not for them?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Credits to respective owners. I don't own anything.
Yibo. Did they really bring harm to you?
Tumblr media
Credits to respective pic owners.
Really? What were you looking at?
Tumblr media
Credits to respective pic owners.
Few things to ponder:
If either xiao zhan or yibo hates bjyx & don't want any fans to associate them with each other, they would've addressed this many years ago to stop. Like how they made clear stand to some of other cps & supertopics. If you ask me for proof, again, you can just find them through my reblog posts. You can easily see them right away. That is, if you really care to read & bother to know.
Let me use back your words- It's been 4 years since the show finished- but the fandom is still standing strong & able to fill in the whole arena. Just to highlight, xiao zhan & yibo have zero public interaction together since the past few years but the numbers of new bjyx fan is still continue growing until today. The irony. How is this possible? For what reason? The normal cp fandom will eventually dies down once the main actors moving to the new project in the same year. Do you ever wonder what's the reason behind this fandom to stay this long for years? Both of them don't have any same project, no collaboration together. No promotion. Literally nothing. Then how? Funny isn't it?
It still remains mystery to think of why until today, xz & yibo never clarify & make statements to clear the air that they are just close friends. They can easily shut down the fandom in one go. Doesn't it bother you to be shipped with your own close friend for years if it's not the case? Well I do.
Also, why bjyx fans were not banned from entering the venue? Why their banners & led lights were allowed to go in? This is a sign that the existence of this fandom has never been denied. Or wait. Has this bjyx fandom been acknowledged indirectly?
People may find comfort in stanning both of them. Probably, it's the only source of joy in life to some. We never know. Don't be such an asshole trying to kill it. Spread love. Not hate.
Thanks anon for giving me the opportunity to rant :)

|| Commentary: Adepti Lore ||
Tumblr media
NOTE: Spoilers included if you haven't played through Chenyu Vale things Strap in for the incessant chatter folks.
Things discussed:
Mythology involving the "nature" of adeptus and gods + common themes discussed/covered in chinese mythological drama/stories
Fujin, Herblord and Xiao relations to one another
Cultural significance of Jade and it's value
The Nature of "Good" and "Evil" (Spiritual Karma)
As I have previously shared here in this post, we do not consider spirits to be inherently good or evil in nature. Every living thing accumulate karma in their lifetime based on their actions and motivations: even the divine are not exempt from this and can very well be judged based on that -squints at neuvillette-
These voicelines comment on exactly that:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With regards to Fujin's comment about no one remaining an adeptus forever and my previous post covering how the lingering grudges/remnants of deities cannot be completely erased, it ties into soul/spirit cultivation.
Tumblr media
While the divine cannot truly be "killed" in the conventional sense, they can lose their abilities as well as physical form. They can undergo things like erosion, corruption and become tainted. They can lose their divine nature, their spirit can be dispersed and linger in specific areas where they have strong emotional ties to. Over time, they vanish and lose all ability to be able to interact with the current plane of existence they are in. Eg: traces of the fallen Yaksha can still be detected but their will can no longer be returned/coalesced. Remember what happened to Yelan and company in the chasm quest? Yeah.
Fujin, Herblord and Xiao Relation:
From Fujin's narration of the past, there might be a possibility that she, Herblord (likely Changsheng) and Xiao all served under the Goddess at one point. (This may also be why Xiao recognised Baizhu in the doctor's story quest.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I theorise that when Fujin and Herblord defected, Xiao remained behind. Given references to Xiao's character story (4th one), it is implied that he was kept captive by means of the 'cruel god' exploiting his weakness and used as a "bloodhound" in his youth. He was subsequently rescued by Rex Lapis and in Fujin's statement, she spoke of a goddess seeking power/security yet ultimately being overpowered by Morax. What better way would a god seek power/safety by ensuring that the ability to grant the dreams of others remain solely her own? And the will to take it away also remain hers (by means of having an adeptus who can devour dreams be by her side?). More elaboration on her intentions and use of Xiao here in this post.
Cultural Significance of Jade and it's Value:
Even today, Jade is highly valued for it's cultural significance. In fact there is an ongoing argument about how it's more valuable than gold to this day.
Many associate the material with prosperity, longevity, immortality, harmony, purity so on so forth. When accompanied with gold, they tie into themes of "heaven and earth". They can be used as a medium of communication, spiritual healing or warding off evils.
Hence, the depiction of the "Jade Emperor" being the representation of a primordial god.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
act 2, scene 1
“Hey! Oh my gosh I’m so sorry I’m late.” Y/N rushed to the cafe table where Xiao was seated, out of breath from running and approximately 11 minutes late.
“Don’t worry about it. I got you a drink and a sandwich.” He moved his bag from the seat across from him to give her space.
She set her things down and glanced at the items he mentioned. Xiao had somehow magically perfected her usual lunch order at this cafe.
“Oh again? Thank you so much, you really didn’t have to.”
“It’s alright. You can just get the next one.”
“Okay. I’m just worried I won’t be able to get the order spot on like you did.” She chuckled, taking a sip of her favorite caffeinated beverage.
He raised his brow at her statement. “I did?”
“Yeah,” she set her cup down. “Coincidentally, this is my go to order for this place!”
“Maybe I have a knack for guessing your favorites then.”
They sat in comfortable silence as they ate, Xiao occasionally showing her memes and videos that were sent to him on his phone.
When they finished lunch, they got straight to work and began their research processes while making notes and discussing of important topics that come up.
Eventually, the lunch rush of the cafe dies down as their time studying together went on. By the time Y/N stretched in her seat for a mental break, she noticed that there were only a few customers in the cafe including them.
“Oh woah, we’ve been working for two hours already.” She said, looking at the clock behind the cash register.
“Time flies when you’re having fun, right?”
“Really now? You’re having fun while reading about business ethics?”
“Well I’m enjoying the time studying with you.” He said bluntly.
She felt her cheeks heat up at his matter-of-fact tone and bold statement. She quickly mumbled a “me too” loud enough for him to hear before ducking her head back behind her laptop screen to hide the flattered expression on her face.
“So, I guess we can stop here for today. We got a lot of work done.” Y/N looked up from behind the screen, desperately trying to change the subject.
“Alright, sure.” He began to tidy his things off the table.
“We can meet again tomorrow or something, I guess. It’s Friday so I don’t have any classes.”
“Me neither. But I think my roommates want me to help out with cleaning our dorm a bit so I’m not sure when I’ll be able to leave… Unless you want to come over to study?”
“Sure. I don’t see why not. I haven’t seen Scara since the party so I guess it would also be nice to catch up if he’s there.”
Xiao continued to pack his laptop into his bag, fiddling with his headphone wires and phone charger.
Y/N also began to put away her supplies and devices. As she stood up with her laptop in hand, she accidentally pushed Xiao’s coffee cup, causing the half-full beverage to spill onto her clothes.
“Oh shit! I’m so sorry.”
“It’s fine, are you okay?” Xiao quickly popped out of his seat and handed her tissues, while grabbing her laptop out of her hands to keep it from getting wet. He helped her move her things away from the mess dripping off her clothes and the tables as she wiped herself.
“Good thing the coffee already went cold. I was worried you burned yourself.” Xiao said, taking a napkin to carefully wipe off a few drops that splashed onto her cheek.
He took her hand to guide her away from the puddle pooling near her shoes.
“Thanks for helping Xiao, I’m so sorry—“
“Here, take this.”
She watched as he pulled off his sweater and handed it to her, leaving him in the grey compression shirt he wore underneath. It took all of her willpower not to gape at how hot he looked as the fabric almost stuck onto the lean and sculpted expanse of his chest and abs, not to mention that the pale green tattoos on his arm were finally on full display.
Y/N pulled the sweater over her head to keep herself from (respectfully) staring at her project partner.
He walked back to her seat and continued to put away any of her remaining pens into her bag before handing her stuff back to her.
“Come on, don’t worry about it, they’ll probably clean it up better than we can.”
She mumbled another thank you to him before walking through the door he held open for her. She walked beside him quietly as they left the cafe, still a little embarrassed over the whirlwind of events that happened over a span of 5 minutes.
“Hey,” he began, breaking the silence. “Which building do you live in?”
“Building B.”
“Oh nice, it’s on the way to mine. I live in C so I’ll walk you home. And don’t worry yourself over the coffee, alright? Something so meaningless shouldn’t take up too much space in your mind.”
Y/N nodded at his words.
“I’ll tell you what, if we finish studying early and the guys don’t bother us that much, I can show you that Pokémon game I got yesterday.”
“Really?”
“Yeah.” He chuckled at how quickly she perked up at the promise of her favorite video game.
They continued to talk about various things as the two neared her dormitory building.
“You don’t need to walk me up, I’ll be okay. Oh! Your sweater!”
“It’s alright. You can give it back later.”
“I’ll wash it and bring it with me tomorrow. Thanks again, Xiao.”
“You can pay me back by bringing snacks tomorrow for us.”
“Alright, it’s a deal. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“See you.”
“Get home safe! Text me when you get home.” She smiled at him.
“I will.”
He watched as Y/N turned away to open the door and press a button on the elevator, not leaving until he saw her get in and wave as the metal doors closed. He waved back until she was completely out of sight before continuing towards his own building.
Damn she looked cute in my sweater… Taking a picture of her would’ve been a bit weird though… He thought to himself. He ran his fingers through his hair with a sigh as he continued walking home.

Tumblr is a dead platform, but I'll give it a try anyway.
What mischaracterizations of your Genshin main/favorite are you tired of hearing?
Examples include stale memes, old jokes, superficial interpretations, false accusations, and headcaons (obviously 🙄). Basically, anything about the way the community perceives your main/favorite that you are discontent about.
To be blunt, I will not respond to any of your comments. My purpose is to learn why you love your main/favorite so much and dispell any discrepancies that I've noticed within the fandom. But also, give you a free/"safe" space to rant.
Remain courteous or respectful in the comment section. Please. I will block those of you involved should an argument occur.
I'll give you an example using my own main.
Tumblr media
Ayato isn't as boring as people perceive him to be. He's a political figure that always needs to, metaphorically, and literally, if you take the Shuumatsuban into consideration, sleep with a dagger under his pillow. His story quest didn't quite focus on him, but that was the beauty of it. Playing his story quest was akin to watching a tela-novella, "catching the rats without getting caught yourself." It showed that Ayato doesn't play the field front and center for his political rivals to exploit him or his weaknesses. It's unlike his unga bunga skill + NA/CA playstyle that makes him the main DPS of a team. On that last note, his playstyle is smooth and flexible to add to any team composition.
Tumblr media
Kaveh isn't a bitchy material girl* or Alhaitham's accessory. Faranak isn't a horrible mother who abandoned her first child. And it shows that people's reading comprehension is far subpar when they neglect Kaveh's deep-seated guilt, altruism, depression, and obvious alcoholism. He's very much a character that could be a real-life person dealing with the same problems, and that's why so many people love or relate to him so much.
Tumblr media
He's not an edgy emo boy.* This also applies to Xiao. I don't have either of them, and I'm genuinely exhausted with the Xiao and Wanderer stans. This one came up after reading a comment section about having a comrade in a mob fight. Majority ruled that Wanderer would leave you to die and I genuinely think they're wrong. Earn his trust and respect like any one else and he would have your back. Both Anemo boys have a long history and complex personality that make them the person they are, which is a statement that can be made for each character within the game, even some event only NPC.
* This is also for some of the people who main him. Your trauma doesn't give you the excuse to treat everyone else like shit and have an attitude.

Unusual places you've had sex with them
➷ Liyue characters x GN! MC
➷ Featuring: Childe, Xiao, Zhongli, Beidou, Ningguang, Baizhu
➷ Warning: NSFW, implied relationship, use of drugs (with consent) for Baizhu
Tumblr media
Childe- The Northland Bank
This man will get turned on by the weirdest things at the weirdest times. You guys were just going up the stairs to one of the offices in the Northland Bank and something about the way your hips were swaying side to side and how your ass looked from up close had him look down otherwise he'd get a visible boner right there and then. That's not to say that he didn't push you against the nearest wall away from any curious eyes and fuck you crazy until you were both out of breath. I mean come on, from the way you were holding your whines as his fat cock ravaged your insides? He knows you were enjoying the taste of risk on a max. 10/10 he's ready to do something like that again. Maybe touch you under the table at a restaurant? Have you suck him off in an alley? Childe is quite adventurous and likes taking risks, and the thought of almost getting caught? Tasteful.
Xiao- Underground Chasm
This was your idea entirely. Xiao had gone down there to investigate a phenomenon that'd been putting the miners at risk. Who knew you'd decide to join him on your own? There was something eerie about the place no doubt, but with you around, he felt even more on edge for your safety. And you thought you'd help him loosen up by taking a break and setting up a shed. One thing he didn't know is that, by "loosen up" you meant pleasuring him. So there he was, biting his knuckles to suppress any desperate noises as you lips wrapped around his swollen tip, taking your time to please him until he couldn't take no more. He would definitely return the favor after, slamming you against his cock, chasing that sweet release. Could you blame him for how pent up he was after all this time? Plus, your body felt so good under his fingers, and the echoing of your moans down there was doing something to him.
Zhongli - Qingyun Peak (floating island)
Zhongli had a tendency to leave without trace, and randomly appear another day when you least expect him. You came to learn that more often than not, he was resting by the floating island in the Qingyun Peak, enjoying the scenery, reading, or reminiscing the past. How you found out? Well, he invited you to go with him, since you were wanting to spend some "private time" with him for quite a while. This private time included special...services. It was a contract after all, or so you wanted to call it. There's nothing better than enjoying the sunset up high in the clouds, as you're filled to the brim by his thick cock, your body trembling as he guides you down on him. All while he hums and whispers how good you're being for him. If you wanted to do this so badly, all you had to do was ask. After all, he had all the time of the world and the stamina to go for hours. The only problem would be holding your numb body when gliding down. Was it really a problem if it meant he'd get to keep you up there on his cock for longer?
Beidou - Wangshu Inn
Beidou had returned to Liyue after a rather long sail. She hadn't expected you to jump into her arms when she got back though. Maybe because with being a leader and always occupied with something, she'd lost track of time. But you had a little something planned out for the two of you, and that excited her. It wasn't anything fancy, you'd always wanted to treat her to a good meal and why not spend a night together. That same night, after an exciting day of just hanging out with you away from her crew, she sat alone on the balcony. It was late, but you could still hear the voices of the people downstairs. You began to tease her about how they probably would hear you two being passionate at night, and something in her switched. She smirked at your bold statement, and decided that if you wanted them to eavesdrop so badly while you two had sex, she'd help with it. So there you were bent over, as she thrusted her strap deep in you. Your head was hanging down and you could see some of the people downstairs, the realization making you so aroused that you almost let go completely, the wind carrying your faint moans and whimpers. Beidou requested that you plan such fun hangouts more often.
Ningguang- Luhua Pool
One of the things you always do when you return to Liyue after traveling across Teyvat, is meet with Ningguang. She loves to hear about your stories and adventures over tea, but lately you had requested something different. Seems like you picked up a new hobby while in Inazuma, that should explain why you asked Ningguang to accompany you for a photoshoot. When you arrived in Luhua Pool is when she finally understood why. The scenery there was simply brilliant, the gorgeous waters of Luhua deserved to be painted in history. You however had other things in mind. Ningguang wasn't as shocked as you expected her to be when you told her that you wanted to take nudes of her. In fact, the idea seemed entertaining. Especially because after a few shoots with her laying in the water, the reward was your tongue deep in her walls, fucking her in a way she'd craved for a while. You looked so cute with your head between her thighs. Its a picture she holds dear whenever you're not around to remind her how your mouth feels on her clit. After all, you discovered a new thing in common: taking nudes of each other.
Baizhu: Qingce Village
Baizhu is a rather gentle spirit, one would say. The people around him are somehow drawn to him and always ready to help in any way they can, as is he. One day an old woman from the Qingce Village was in need of some medication for her joint pain. Knowing she was unable to travel, Baizhu decided to take a trip to the village himself. Since it was going to take a bit, he also invited you to tag along, not taking into account the fact that you liked to... Joke around a little too much sometimes. Nothing in particular happened during the trip, but the moment you set foot into the village it's almost as if something possessed you.
Its alright though, cause thankfully you two were to spend a night in the village, and god knows what he was going to do to punish you. Well, he did threaten to put stuff in your food and you boldly requested that he makes it "worth it". So there you were in your shared room, drooling and weak in the knees, begging him to touch you. To fill you up and make you numb. He'd prefer to drag it out for as long as possible so you'd pay for giving him a hard time all afternoon, but with you curling around his body (like his snake would) he took pity on you. Not quite though. He was not planning to use anything aside from his hands. And honestly, his long, slender fingers were enough to tease you in all the right places.

MAYBE IM IN LOVE ?! - 9 new bff
wc - 0.8k very short mb guys
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
xiao could only sigh as he read the texts in the group chat. venti updated earlier that you two were now "best friends" and he now understands why xiao likes you so much, which was a weird statement.
he could only send a question mark at the implied meaning behind venti's texts, to which the green boy replied with an oddly smiling emoji. rolling his eyes, he decided to close his phone to avoid having to deal with venti any longer.
the clock on his watch strikes 11 am, and more students start to rush into the lecture hall. mrs. katheryne should be here any second now to start the lesson. as he rests his face in the palm of his hands, a sudden touch on his shoulders makes him turn and look back.
behind him was you with a cup of hot chocolate in your hand, a book in the other. you smiled at him and gestured to the empty seat next to him, which he curtly nodded. you had been in a rush it seems, your hair was sticking out in weird places, as if the winds had been blowing into it, and your arms full, he could only imagine you rushing here after getting your hot chocolate.
with that image in mind, he found himself slightly amused. you were currently fixing your hair, just now noticing the state it was in. although most students were in a similar state of rush, he found himself focusing on you, head now laying on the table, facing you.
the difference between the two of you was apparent. while you were fixing your hair and sorting out your stuff in a rush, xiao was calm and collected, relaxing in the midst of chaos.
xiao throws a glance at his watch, 11:07. 3 more minutes until class officially starts. xiao scans around the room for venti, already promised to keep a seat out for him in exchange for his coffee, but with you sitting beside him, seems like venti would need to find someplace else. xiao slightly smiles at the thought, before the squealing of a chair being pulled broke his train of thoughts.
speak of the devil, and he shall appear, there venti was, smiling and already taking a seat beside you, talking animatedly to you. xiao could only sigh.
"xiao!! here's your coffee" venti hands you the coffee to send to xiao, seeing as you're closer to him. you give the coffee cup to him, your fingers slightly brushing against him when he takes a hold of the cup. xiao acted indifferent to the contact, and so did you. you turned your back to venti to continue your conversation.
soon enough, mrs. katheryne entered the lecture hall and began teaching the lesson. aside the occasional chatter from venti, everyone was quiet, all wanting to focus on the professor, xiao included. he hasn't said a thing to you ever since venti arrived.
"as midterms are approaching, I cannot provide a written test because of my situation. To improvise, I will give you an assignment instead. In this assignment, you must duet with another student in this class, depending on the musical families i have picked for you. Do note that this assignment will be 50% of your overall score."
whispers started to spread as students try to plan how they would approach this assignment. mrs. katheryne was continuing on at the front, but xiao couldn't focus on her words.
xiao's mind had started to drift away from the lecture and to the text childe had sent him a week ago now. the interaction between him and the ginger had haunted him for days. he couldn't decide on what to say to childe. his brain was mush trying to decide if he had feelings for you, or the giddiness from talking to you was just because you're funny, and he hasn't actually made a casual friend in a long time.
it wasn't like xiao didn't like his friends, but you being new to his life and not knowing certain things about him felt refreshing, considering his friend group had stuck with him from the very start of uni. there was stuff you didn't know about him, and he enjoyed the process of you asking him simple questions to get to know him better. a simple 'what's your favourite colour?' had xiao writing in length why he didn't have one, just so you could get to know him better.
thinking about his feelings made his brain fried, so he opted to close his eyes and lean back into his chair. at least he now can bath in the darkness behind his closed eyelids. his ears pick up the whispers between you and venti, not really whispers as anyone in your surrounding can hear your conversation.
"hey yn, wanna team up with me?"
"we don't know what we got assigned yet, better to wait first than team up now."
your logical reply made xiao slightly smile, even he wasn't sure why. he just knows that the feeling he got when venti was turned down by you was a feeling he liked.

☆゚.*・。゚ Ice cream for two?…
i see that you guys like xiao stuff… so now i will make a a fanfic of him! this takes places in modern au, enjoyyy!
it was a hot sunny day with your bestfriend xiao. you both just got out from school and when you got outside, the sun shone brightly on your face. you were looking for xiao when someone placed their hand on your shoulder. you were a bit shocked but you knew it was xiao.
“xiao! ugh i didn’t know it will be this sunny today.” you complained, faking wiping the sweat on your forhead. “i didn’t know too…” xiao did nothing but to stare at the sun. his hands trying to cover is face but not exactly his eyes from the sun (if you know what i meannn).
just then an idea popped on your mind. “xiao! why don’t we get ice cream!?” you asked him in full energy and happiness. “oh sure. i guess that’s a good plan.” xiao answered. he didn’t look or seem to be excited but you didn’t pay any mind to it as you’ve been friends with him for years and he never shows that much emotions.
you and xiao started exiting the school gate and going to the ice cream shop. the walk there was for about 10 minutes, and at 5 minutes you were already starting to sweat. you couldn’t wait to taste the delicious cold ice cream in this sunny hot day.
“oh xiao its sooo hot! i can’t-“ you whined as you slomped your head on xiao’s shoulder. xiao keeps walking “cmon y/n we’re already half way there”.
finally after 5 more minutes you’ve reached the ice cream shop. you entered the shop with excitement and joy. xiao was walking too slow so you grabbed his wrist and drag him inside. “yippieee we’re here xiao!” you said to him in joy.
the ice cream shop was pretty crowded. you both went in line and wait. after a few minutes you finally can pick the ice cream you want.
“hello lovebirds! what can i get you today? you might get the limited couples sundae! it’s perfect for you both!” she asked in joy and full of excitement. you both got flustered by this statement and looked at eachother. xiao covered his face in embarrassment and you began stuttering. “w-we uh- we..” you didn’t know what to say. “2 sundaes are actually 3.50$ each, but this one its only 5$ for 2 people!” she added in joy.
you had a smile when she said that. you looked to xiao and whisper to him “fake being my boyfriend okay! we can spend less money!”. xiao only nod as you said this. his face got redder and he was secretly enjoying this.
“we’ll take the couples sundae!” you replied, handing her the money. “excellent! let me make it” she made the couples sundae which include vanilla and strawberry ice cream with strawberry sauce, whipped cream, sprinkles and vanilla wafer. “here you go. have a nice date” she teashed while giggling.
you looked at xiao and you notice the tip of his ears were red. you found a table near the window and decide to sit there. “mmm this look delicious!” you scooped the strawberry ice cream and eat it. “i know you like the vanilla one xiao! you can have that one!” you told xiao and he nodded his head and began scooping the ice cream.
“so y/n.. when will this ‘fake being your boyfriend’ ends?” xiao asked in curiosity. “oh xiao? well.. i mean it already ends..” you replied with a pretty sad tone. you always had a crush on xiao for a long time. you were really greatfull that you get to be friends with him. “oh.. y/n can i tell you something?” xiao asked. you notice that he was looking nervous. “ofcourse xiao! tell me everything!” you were curious with what xiao will say. you thought ‘is this what i think it is..?’.
“i-i like you y/n.. for a long time. i don’t want to fake being your boyfriend. i want to truly be your boyfriend..” he said looking embarrassed as his face went red. you were in joy when you heard this coming from him. “oh my god xiao! i like you too! for a very long time now… ofcourse you can be my boyfriend! we’re now boyfriend and girlfriend!” you told xiao in excitement. your eyes were shimmering as well as xiao’s, it’s just not that visible. “r-really? thankyou y/n.. thankyou thankyou thankyou!” he thanked you so much time. he never really felt love before. but when he met you, he just had a strange feeling inside. he then knew it was love, you showed love to him.
you both were happy and xiao got closer to you. you were blushing as he got closer and closer. and my any time, he was kissing you. you both were kissing! isn’t that insane? the kiss lasted no longer than 3 seconds. xiao forgot you were in public and immediately broke the kiss. he whispered “we’ll continue this in private…”. you can feel heat rushing to your face even more when he said that.
it was a good day indeed…

Flush of Youth [Yan!Xiao x Fem!Reader]
Tumblr media
Warnings/Tags: Yandere themes, mentions of murder and violence, implied child abuse and neglect, emotional distress and meltdown, attempted murder, brutal assualt, choking (not in that way).
Word count: 1.2k!
Enjoy! I realized I've never written about Xiao yet so I'll give it a go! Although I think this is more focused on the reader.
-
Youth
You were taught by your teachers from a very early age that youth ought to be defined by pleasurable outdoor pursuits and hours invested in the sun, not by being incarcerated by anguish or any other kind of anxieties. Children should be allowed to be soaked in the burning sun, to swim through boundless water and become one with amusement.
They were mistaken, though.
Or atleast, you thought so.
Your parents, on the other hand, have the latter perspective; they believe that youth is an opportunity to polish one's intellect and acquire knowledge about the outside world, a way to carry on your ancestors' legacy. There was no time to be idling around in the sun.
What is even the real world?
You believed that the outside world consisted of cheerful chatterings of people, a sky brimming with brilliant blue, and colourful roses. A place that was created for humans to bloom and cherish in, a sanctuary created by God.
It was laughable to hold such philosophy to a high standard, but you wanted to believe in it. Perhaps it would make your situation a little less dimmer.
"Xiao."
At the sound of your hoarse voice, Xiao takes his attention away from the blood stained blade. He places the spear onto the ground before turning his head to look at you, solely focusing on your cowering frame at the darkened corner of the room. You looked rather frail, as if you barely ate or slept in the past weeks, like a dreamless ghost wandering the surface of the earth.
"What is it?"
He asked, rather excitedly although it wasn't evident within his tone nor his expression that remained motionless, his lips still curved in a frown. His rather neutral expression.
"Can you do something for me?"
".....I'm listening."
He urged you to go on, peering at you with expecting eyes as if he was expecting you to ask about going outside or perhaps take a quick stroll around the harbour. Xiao wasn't a huge fan of letting you go outside, but since humans are such needy creatures and need fresh air or else they will withered, Xiao had no other choice. Besides, it's been weeks since you had the energy to go out, Xiao would actually be glad if you asked to go outside.
Yet, your next words obstruct his initial thoughts.
"Can you kill someone for me?"
Xiao's mouth grew dry at your words, and just for a quick moment, his expression twisted into an astonished one. His lips were slightly parted, his yellow eyes widened and his brows curved upside down. Has the lack of human contact made you go mad? Murder isn't a small joke.
"...I am unable to terminate any mortals within Liyue."
He merely responded, averting his eyes from yours as if he felt a little guilty for denying your request. The mention of blood and murder never managed to irk Xiao considering his occupation and experience as an adeptus, equipped with his years during the war. Yet hearing that word 'kill' slip from your mouth was a little astonishing for him, since he didn't think you were capable of forming any sort of violent thoughts like that.
"What if the person did something terrible to me in the past?"
You pressed on, prompting Xiao to ponder over your statement.
That's a little unbelievable to him.
He was informed enough about your present and preceding lifestyles, while he is not entirely aware of your early histories. It's extremely rare that anyone would have a personal grudge against you, as he is aware of your propensity for goodwill. Furthermore, if they did, he would already have eliminated them in a responsible and ethical manner. That obviously does not include using murder as a tactic.
"What if they hit me? What if they starved me?"
You continue, raising your head from the chair so that you appear slightly taller than previously as your voice gradually increases. The hair that covered your face slid off your flesh, revealing your tired eyes that were honestly dull as a sleepless ghost.
"[First Name]...I understand your frustrations but-"
Xiao attempted to calm you down by dragging him off the hardwood floor and trying to make his way towards you, despite the fact that all you did was cut off his sentence.
"No! You don't understand anything."
While on the emotional exterior Xiao had no qualms regarding causing harm or killing a mortal, he is simply unable to do so because of his contract. He wouldn't even think twice about killing someone for you, regardless of how it damaged his karma. Nevertheless, he was more than willing to assist you in properly disposing of other individuals, if it doesn't include the act of killing obviously.
"You said you loved me…."
You breathe with tears clearly visible in the corner of your eyes, and Xiao had a mild heartache at your mere emotional distress. Even though Xiao was occasionally rigorous with you, he wasn't a big fan of harming you. More than anything, he would prefer not to punish you, but unfortunately he had no choice due to your bratty behaviour.
"You said you loved me."
Again, you repeated your words, your voice now becoming slightly uneven and Xiao could see the way your lips pursed into a thin line, as if you were trying to hold onto any last line of insanity. Xiao even felt a little uncomfortable to see you so unhinged.
"You said you loved me!"
Your voice, now louder, as your hands flew to push at his chest. Although you were a lot weaker than him, Xiao allowed you to push him, prompting him to stumble back onto the floor.
"You swore you loved me!"
Sandwich platters shatter to the ground with a loud bang as you scream and reach out to grab hold of the wooden table's bottom before you topple it over. Water poured out of the pot as the glaze lily stem tore against the ground.
"....You said you loved me but you can't even prove it."
You towered above Xiao's figure, your doe eyes exhibiting clear signs of displeasure, and steam spilled from your ears, but all he could do was stare at you, perhaps out of sympathy or worry?
"Don't look at me like that….! Don't look at me as if I'm the crazy one!"
You sprang at him, hooking your flimsy fingers around his throat firmly and painfully enough to harm a mortal. However, Xiao was certainly not a mortal since he did not attempt to thwart your endeavour, only allowing you to vent your fury.
"...Y….You made me like this…! Don't look at me like that!"
As you pressed against him, a faint sob came out of your mouth as you exhibited disdain for the way his typically sorrowful eyes had been twisted into ones of pity.
His pity was the last thing you wanted.
How can it be possible that the one who kidnapped you and tormented you is the one who feels sorry for you? It didn't make sense.
It didn't make sense at all.
Xiao allowed you to lay on top of him while he waited for hours on end for you to become calm. Your grip on his neck soon loosened, and your tears reduced to nothing but a quiet hush.Your breathing soon became regular as you rested into Xiao, smoothing your hair out of your face to display your sleeping face. A modest kiss on top of your head was given by Xiao as his chest relaxed after the initial feeling of remorse left his heart.
You were gently brought to the bed, where Xiao delicately placed you on the plush mattress before turning to go with his conjured spear in hand.
Even though Xiao wasn't really sure what you were saying, he knew he needed to look into it. Xiao has an impression of the individual even if you didn't properly describe them to him.
Perhaps it's time to introduce himself to your parents?

A silent promise
I apologize for taking so long, I hit a bit of a writers block -v-’’’ I also apologize to the people who commented about wanting to be added to the taglist. For whatever reason tumblr doesn’t let me comment on anyone's posts, including mine. Also, I’m open to requests if anyone is interested, but please, if you have a request write as an ask, so I can respond. Hope you enjoy! ^^
Warnings: brief mention of sex trafficking and fighting rings, I promise the end is fluff
<------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
Going into your room, you expect to see a small black and green cat tangled in your sheets again, but to your surprise there’s a relatively young man with black hair and green at the tips covered with your sheets, but there were two things that stood out to you. The first were his eyes. Glowing amber eyes staring at you, a red eye-liner lining his eyelids. Eyes you most definitely couldn’t mistake. At first it would seem unbelievable, but your gut screamed that that was the kitten you saved. That was Xiao. And even if you didn’t listen to your gut, the cat ears on his head and tail popping out from under the sheets most definitely convinced you.
Both of you stood frozen still, staring at each other, an awkward silence enveloping you two. It was obvious neither of you expected for this to happen.
Gathering all the courage at the moment, you decide to confirm your suspicions. “Umm, Xiao? Is that you?...”. Hesitance was evident in your voice. It is quite a bold statement to assume the person laying in your bed is the cat you were nursing to health. And it seems he knew that too.
With a small and stiff nod, your assumptions were confirmed. Silence, again. Neither of you knew what to do.
“I hope it doesn’t come off as rude, but what’s going on?”. His ears twitch at your voice and his gaze shifts to the side. He seemed… embarrassed? “Well, as you already know, you saved me from bleeding to death, to which I owe you my gratitude. It seems that the doctors you took me to didn’t figure out exactly what I am and assumed that I’m just a regular cat”.
Curiosity taking over, you cut him off. “Wait, if not a cat then what are you?”. A look of annoyance flashes in his eyes, before resuming to talk. “I’m what you humans call a catboy. We can choose between a cat form and a more human form, albeit the cat ears and tail. We prefer to stay as cats for… safety precaution, to put it simply. It usually takes us years of building trust with a human to show them our more human form, but there are always exceptions such as these”.
The “safety precaution” bit both confused and concerned you. “If you don’t mind me asking, what do you mean by “safety precautions”?”. Xiao’s body tenses up, tail slowly curling around him and ears lowering as he gives you a panicked look. You also tense up at that. ‘Oh no, I said something wrong didn’t I’.
“I-it’s alright! You don’t need to.. an.. swer…”. Realization quickly dawned on you, a look of worry and horror crawling up your face. It has been circulating recently around the internet about underground sex trafficking and fighting rings with half human half animal creatures, with half dog and half cat being the most common. The police have been busting a lot of those rings, saving many of those like Xiao, but they can only do so much. It isn’t easy to find the rings in the first place. There’s a couple of shelters where volunteers help take care and find a home to the poor beings and you were planning to see if you could take one and give them a home, a place where they don’t have to fear for their lives or do… inappropriate activities to hopefully get fed and avoid further abuse. At least that was the plan, but it seems like fate decided to set you up with a catboy a bit earlier than expected.
“Achem, sooo… You were telling me how we ended up in this situation?”. Thankful to you not expanding on the previous topic, Xiao relaxes a bit. “Yes, as I was saying, the doctors failed to recognize what I am and in turn didn’t inform you. When catboys are in a frail state we remain in the last form we took, since we don’t have enough energy to switch. In my case I last turned into a cat and stayed as such until today. I was feeling better than previously, so I wanted to test out if I could transform if a need for it arose, but it seems I didn’t account for the time and you walked in on me like… this.” He pulled the covers towards him a bit more, tightening his grip on them.
“I see, but, why’re you wrapped in my blanket like burrito?”. Xiao’s face went beet red, stuttering over his words. “W-well, one downside when it comes to transforming is that the clothes I wear when I’m in half human form don’t, ummm…” He was throwing you side-glances, hoping you’d catch on to what he meant, which you did. “O-oh! I-umm, I can let you borrow a t-shirt and shorts if you’d like?”. An almost inaudible ‘yes please’ left his lips as he buried his face beneath the blanket.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You were now sitting in your living room, trying to calm yourself down from what transpired minutes ago. Your face was still warm, but at least it wasn’t overheating, so that’s good. Faint footsteps alerted you of Xiao entering the living room.
Looking up, you saw the catboy standing still next to the wall, tail moving slightly as he looked everywhere, but you. He was wearing a gray t-shirt and black shorts, both baggy on him, if the collar being lower than it should be and the elastic on the shorts being tied tighter than normal say anything. He also seemed a bit uncomfortable, probably due to his tail having to go over the back instead of there being a hole like the clothing made specifically for catboys you’ve seen.
“What now?”. That grabbed Xiao’s attention, his eyes shifting to look at you, a bit of panic showing in them if you looked at them carefully. “What do you mean?” Your eyebrows crease, small amounts of worry evident in your features. “Well, if you were just a cat I would’ve probably taken you to a local shelter, but you aren’t, so that’s out of the plan. Well, not really, there is a catboy shelter not that far from here-” The sound of a rip stopped your musings. Xiao’s hands were shaking, eye’s blown wide with fear swirling in them. His hands were gripping onto the pant of his shorts, his claws easily ripping through the fabric from too much pressure.
“Or you could stay with me, if you wish”. His head and ears snapped towards you, hope filling his now on the verge of tears eyes. “Really? I can? Are you sure I’m not gonna be too much of a burden-”. “Xiao.” He shuts up, nervously waiting for you to say something. And say something you did. “I’m more than sure. You aren’t and never will be a burden. I was going to look for a companion soon anyways”.
Xiao lunges at you, catching you by surprise. He buries his head in the crooks of your shoulder as a warm liquid starts trickling down your shoulder and soaking your shirt. “Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you”. Repeated whispers of ‘thank you’ came from Xiao, as his trembling hands clung to you.
You wrap your arms around him, engulfing him with warmth Xiao doesn’t remember feeling. He presses his body even closer to yours as he continues to cry, little hiccups appearing from time to time. Looking down at the catboy in your arms, a small smile creeps up your face as you begin to run your hand through his hair. ‘I promise you Xiao. I promise that you’ll never have to go through the horrendous experiences you’ve endured ever again. Not while you're with me’.
Laying in each others’s comforting embrace, you continue to pet his head as a silent promise was made and your smile grew at the thought of what the future holds.
