Hankuk University has two of the most powerful team players in their Volleyball school team for both girls and boys. Their names were Y/F/N and Lee Minho. There were 8 members in each team. The girls volleyball team consists of Y/N who is the Team Captain and she is able to play any positions but her main position is a Setter.

Chungha who is the Co-Captain and also a Libero. Jennie who was a Setter. Jihyo and Yeri who were the Right Side also known as an Outside Hitter. Mina and Jisoo who were the Left Side also known as a Wing Spiker. And last but not least, Lisa who was a Middle Blocker.

The boys volleyball team consists of Minho who is the Team Captain and just like Y/N, he is able to play any position but his main position is a Setter. Chan who is the Co-Captain and also a Setter.

Changbin who was a Libero. Hyunjin who was a Middle Blocker. Jisung and Seungmin who were the Right Side also known as Outside Hitter. And lastly, Felix and Jeongin who were the Left Side also known as Wing Spiker.

Their volleyball training was every Tuesday and Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm.

Today was no different as they had training later on since it was a Tuesday. Y/N was just listening to her lecture class when she received a text from her volleyball coach.

She noticed that Coach Kwon mentioned “captains” which means he probably texted that same message to Minho as well and he did. But their group chat was oddly silent so she texted in the group chat to inform the rest.

Just 4 seconds after she sent her text, Minho sent his. She frowned as she rolled her eyes to no one in particular.

“Did that jerk really just wait for me to send the text first?” She locked her phone screen and soon refocused on her lecture.

Two and a half dreadful hours later, they were now dismissed from the class. Y/N left the hall only to get a text from Chungha, asking her to meet them at the rooftop garden where students tend to sit down in the wooden tables to do their school work. She arrived at the rooftop, only to find half of the girls volleyball team and half of the boys volleyball team.

“Unnie!” Yeri called excitedly as she waved excitedly to Y/N, making the elder girl laugh. The minute Y/N arrived beside the wooden table, Jihyo spoke up.

“How was your lecture?”

“I don’t think anything got into my head to be honest.” Y/N said as the rest of them began to laugh. They spent the next 2 hours doing their assignments while the rest of the team members slowly began to appear as they waited for the training time to start.

Y/N was just standing behind Seungmin, leaning over him to check his coding since he too was a CS student when a familiar voice called out from behind them.

“In case you haven’t noticed, there’s plenty of space on the right instead of leaning over him like that.” Y/N glanced over her shoulders while Seungmin peeked past her arm to see Minho approaching them with one hand clutching loosely on the strap of his cross body bag while the other was tucked in the pocket of his jeans.

She rolled her eyes as she ignored him, only to pat Seungmin’s shoulder and began to explain to him where he went wrong.

Minho scoffed, walking over to stand opposite her just behind Chan and Hyunjin. He stared at her with no particular expression on his face. Seungmin and her seemed like they were in their own little bubble. Seungmin’s lips tugged into a smile, thanking her for her help.

Training was about to start so they all made their way to the indoor sports hall together. They were walking in small groups with mixed genders where Y/N was walking with Changbin, Felix and Seungmin. She was just talking about baking with Felix when Changbin suddenly spoke up.

“The only thing you will bake is your hatred for Lee Minho.”

“You, come here.” Y/N said in a stern voice as Changbin began to sprint down the path screaming at the top of his lungs.

She chased after him, running past their other friends only for Changbin to almost run into the glass door. Y/N jolted to a stop behind him, she couldn’t stop laughing. Changbin growled as he got her in a chokehold.

Training soon began and it was back to square one where the captains would supervise their team according to what their coach told them to do. They were all taking a break when Coach Kwon called all of them to gather around.

“Okay, as you may know, the annual Volleyball Championships will be held in 2 months time and our school will be taking part in it. However, I was told by the official management of this championship that they will be having a special round for the final game. They want the two schools who qualify for the finals to participate in a mixed game.”

With that being said, they were all curious as to what that means, only for Coach Kwon to further explain his announcement.

“The two schools would have to team up both genders for the final round.” He said, making them gasp. Upon hearing this, both the Team Captains turned their heads to their Coach who was standing right beside them.

“Both genders?” Y/N asked.

“You mean…?” Minho said as he dragged his words, unsure if he likes where this was going.

“Yes. Both teams will have to take part in the finals together.” Coach Kwon said, noticing the two Captains frowned. He seemed to sense the thick tension lingering in the air so he chose to acknowledge it.

“With that being said, I will need you two to work together and put your differences aside. Can you do that for your teammates?” Coach Kwon asked, glancing over to Y/N and Minho who were standing in their spots, stiff.

Both of them nodded even though everyone knew it was a forced reaction so as to not disappoint their coach.

With that, Coach Kwon took 2 sets of 6, of two coloured vests to divide them into two teams equally. Since Y/N and Minho were the Team Captains, Coach Kwon gave Y/N the blue vest and Minho the purple vest before asking them to choose their team members.

So each team would have a total of four girls and four boys. Y/N and Minho played a round of rock paper scissors to see who gets to choose first, only for her to win.

The final teams were Y/N, Lisa, Yeri, Jisoo, Chan, Changbin, Felix and Seungmin. Minho, Hyunjin, Jisung, Jeongin, Chungha, Jennie, Mina and Jihyo. The practice games soon started as the ones on the bench were Felix, Jisoo, Jeongin and Mina.

And immediately off the bat, the opposite gender team members could already see the huge difference in their Team Captain’s attitude during a game.

Minho tends to scold his teammates if they weren’t fast enough or if they didn’t move according to how he likes it. Meanwhile, Y/N, on the other hand, encourages her team by giving tips and pointers on how to win a game or to perfect their moves during an attack or defense.

So when they finished their first practice round, Y/N couldn’t help but speak up after witnessing just how much he scolded the girls and even the boys about their speed and techniques.

“Don’t you think you’re being too harsh on them?” She asked with a disapproval on her face.

“This is my way of leading them. If they’re too slow, then what’s the point of being on the court?” Minho said with a sharp tone in his voice. By now, Y/N was already on the other side of the net, standing in front of Minho. She looked slightly smaller than him but she definitely had a more intimidating aura on her at the moment.

“And what makes you think they’ll get any better with you screaming at them all the time? As their Captain, you’re supposed to guide them not criticize them.” Y/N said firmly, causing Minho to take a step closer only to tower over her.

“Don’t tell me what to do.” Minho said.

“You’re not the alpha here. We all listen to Coach Kwon. We’re both here to supervise. But if you can’t do it right, that’s when your team crashes.”

“I don’t need a big shot like you telling me what I should or should not do.”

“This is exactly why your team lost the last championship because you don’t have faith in them. “There’s a reason why I appointed you two as the captains. And that is because I have faith in the two of you to lead your respective teams into being the best players in Hankuk U. But if both of you can’t work together, I can’t do anything to make things better.” Coach Kwon said, making them fall silent.

The two captains soon apologized to Coach Kwon who then told them to swap teams and also substitute the members on the bench for those playing in the same position.

With that being said, Y/N and Minho swapped places so that both teams will get to experience their way of leading them. During that second game, Minho kept cursing at Yeri whenever she missed the ball or for when she accidentally hit the ball out of line.

Oh that's a lovely idea, anon! I'd imagine that by the time he's promoted to 'Director of Prosecutions', Klint would most likely have been a very senior barrister known as a Q.C. ('Queen's Counsel'); they're also known colloquially as 'silks' because they 'take silk' (i.e. acquire a robe made of silk) upon attaining this lofty rank.

When a barrister becomes a silk/QC, they often only handle the most difficult (and expensive) work, but they will usually have a junior barrister assisting them (i.e. doing all the work, though I doubt Klint would conduct himself like that).

I can very much imagine Klint taking Barok as his junior and allowing himself to be 'led' by the latter. The term 'leading' basically means the barrister in charge of conducting the case where there's more than one involved.

Barok coughed a little, still unaccustomed to way whiskey punched the back of his throat when he swallowed it, "I imagine you were splendid, as always." "Oh?" Klint chuckled, his brother truly did worship him. Then, while he leaned against his desk, an idea came to him, "Hmmm! That's a thought..." "Huh?" "How about you take on a little work experience by my side, hm? I'm sure it would be fun to have you as my junior counsel for a while." "What? Really?" Barok looked simultaneously shocked and delighted, "I'd very much like to learn at your side, brother, I imagine there is much you could teach me about court etiquette and procedure!" After all, you're planning to become a prosecutor are you not?" he knew full well his brother intended to follow in his footsteps, which was incredibly flattering-- though he did have his reservations about what such a career might do to his darling brother's character. "Very good," he set his glass down and sat at his desk, taking a sheet of paper and his quill in hand, "We'll have that letter sent out today!" ──────≪⊰✥⊱≫─────── Barok had been to court many, many times but mostly to observe by way of the public gallery when safe to do so, or from a corner of the courtroom once he started being targeted due to Klint's ever-growing renown as the 'bane of criminals'. This, however, was on an entirely different scale: today he would be assisting with the proceedings -- a participant rather than a spectator. "You look nervous," Klint remarked as he stood beside his younger brother. "What... what do you mean?" "Your eyes," he said, chuckling behind his fist, "They're darting all over the place like a furtive rabbit's" "....O.. Oh..." he took a deep breath and shook his head, "I... didn't sleep much last night, my mind seemed to want to go over the case details again and again." "Mmmm, I had forgotten how it felt to be quite that nervous in court... still, it's good you feel that unsettled sense in the pit of your stomach. One should never be blasé about standing in this sombre hall of justice. It should always create a sense of disquiet, that is how you know you yet hold the essence of what it means to be an officer of the court," Klint took a glass and a decanter from under the bench and filled it with a small measure, "But, here, it doesn't hurt to settle your nerves." "Is that... whiskey?!" Barok uttered. "Yes, go on, for your nerves, little brother." He took a sip as directed, and choked again; still not used to that fiery punch in his throat, "T...thank you." Suddenly there were three loud knocks at the door followed by the court clerk's booming voice: "All persons who have anything to do before my Lords - the Queen's Justices - at the Central Criminal Court, draw near and give your attendance. God Save the Queen!" the clerk bowed to the judge then took a seat in the corner so as to record a transcript of the proceedings.

The Judge sat down, "In the name of her Majesty, Queen Victoria, I declare this court to be in session. God Save the Queen," the middle-aged man, whose hair was starting to fail him, though it was hidden under his white wig, cast his gaze over the persons in attendance, "Lord van Zieks, I see the prosecution has a junior member today." "Correct, my lord," Klint replied with a smile, "This is my younger brother, Barok, he desires to become a prosecutor, so I thought it only proper for him to accompany me on a few excursions so as to get a feel for the thing." "Quite right and very good," the Judge nodded, "I bid you welcome, young man, I hope you will learn much from your older brother, he is a skilled prosecutor and an invaluable asset to this court." "Y... Yes sir!" Barok said, standing straight to attention. Klint chuckled before placing a hand over his heart and bowing, "Thank you, my Lord, you honour me." "Now, Counsel, your opening statement, if you please." "With pleasure, my Lord..." ──────≪⊰✥⊱≫─────── Barok dutifully passed evidence and case notes to his brother as the case progressed, while also taking notes of things that struck him as important in terms of procedure, witness testimony and the general way in which matters progressed. He also made a few notes on Klint's control of the courtroom and general demeanour; the way he eloquently developed his arguments and appealed to the Jury with a seemingly effortless, poetic grace. It was a true masterclass in courtroom conduct and he longed to commit every second of it to his memory so that he might mimic his brother's style in the future. "I already told ya!" snapped the witness in the box, "I ain't never had nothin' to do with the gobshite!" Klint sighed while removing a handsome goblet, fashioned from silver and crystal, from under the bench and filling it with a measure of whiskey, "I'm going to overlook your use of a double negative, no doubt you'd have no sense of what that actually means, and presume that you're trying to deny all knowledge of the accused." "Double wot?" "Never mind all that, " Klint took a sip, startling Barok-- was his brother drinking in court?! The Judge didn't seem remotely bothered by it, in fact no one said a word. Did he do this often?? His brother continued, "You say you don't know that man in the dock." "That's right!" "Are you sure about that?" "W-Wot?! Why'd you keep askin' me that?! If you got somethin' to say about it then say it!" the witness looked flustered and vaguely guilty to Barok's untrained eye. "I'll do better than that," Klint said, setting his goblet down, "I'll show that you're lying to me, to this court and these fine men and women of the jury." "... U..urk..." the witness bit their bottom lip, "Yer lyin'! There ain't no proof to be had!" "I don't play games of bluff, good sir. Like any lawyer worth his salt: when I assert, I go on to prove what I'm saying," he held up a document, "Do you know what this is?" ".... Looks like a bit'o paper..." "It's a contract, signed between you and the accused. A... 'gentlemans' agreement of goods and for services rendered –– you, sir, would receive the stolen property from the accused and his associates, then sell it on for them via your Pawnbrokery!" "W-Whaaaaat?!" the witness recoiled, "W...Where'd you get that?!" "It was well hidden, I'll give you that," Klint replied with a smile, "But not well enough to escape my notice. You're as involved in this intricate criminal fencing enterprise as the accused!" The court descended into a shocked furor... ──────≪⊰✥⊱≫─────── "I think this is a good place to adjourn proceedings for today," the Judge observed after the breakdown of the witness, "Bailiff, have that man arrested and handed over to the Yard so he can answer questions about his involvement in this sordid affair!" The bailiff did as ordered and apprehended the witness.

"Thank you to both Counsel's, and our young junior, for their assistance today. We shall continue again first thing on Monday. Court is adjourned!" the Judge rose, nodding to the courtroom once before leaving.

Klint turned to his little brother and grinned, "Well? How was your first real day in court, brother?" "It... it was amazing!" Barok replied, eyes practically twinkling, "I was so awed by your performance! You truly are an exceptional legal mind and practitioner, brother!" He laughed, "Stop it... you'll make me blush!" "It's true! Though, I must say... I had no idea one could drink in court or kick the prosecutor's bench... those were most flamboyant and striking displays!" "Most people can't," Klint conceded, "But, well, it seems I have a flair for the dramatic. It must run in the blood... Our lord father was a similarly passionate man when it came to matters of court –– even when he occupied the bench as a Law Lord. Many a lawyer would refer to him as 'Good Lord Kicking' behind his back!" he laughed at the thought. "Wow... really?!" "Yes, really!"

i used to be one of the people who‘d just do motherlode motherlode motherlode and just... what did i do? Why did i do that??? But not anymore lol. ranking haikyuu!! schools based on their school spirit

before you grill me with my rankings please know that i! love! all! of! these! schools! equally! i do not hate any particular school; i am simply ranking their school spirit. this is also lowkey crack because what everyone said made me laugh and honestly i came up with this idea for the laughs. so, like, don’t take this personally.

thanks everyone who helped participate by filling out the google form!! everything you’ve said i used in this. we will be going from last place to first place, so let’s start!! btw i ranked 11 schools into 10 places, so there are two 10th placers HAHAH anywayssss

10: ITACHIYAMA, NOHEBI

Alright, so let’s start with Itachiyama. I got one person who mentioned them in my last category, which was “any other school i didn’t mention? & why” and honestly we don’t know anything about them. But perhaps the mere fact that they were winners says something I guess?

❝ itachiyama bc the school are WINNER WINNERS i wanna see their hype ❞

❝ i’m sorry who ,,,, i deadass don’t know that team eye— are they from the last season ???? if so that’s why LMAOSNAKBS WAIT IS THIS GERMAPHOBES TEAM ??? THOSE NEON PISS PUKE LOOKING BOYS SOSNSJNSJDHS bro i’d drop tf out of that school if they gave me that ugly ass uniform OH MY GOD WHAT DOES THIER SCHOOL UNIFORM LOOK LIKE SKBAIABSJS BRO IMAGINE ❞ (about Nohebi but referring to Itachiyama)

Moving onto Nohebi: their tactics, as we’ve seen in the OVA, aren’t the most...... ethical. Though, they’re still supported by their cheering section so I guess it’s fine by their entire school?

❝ From what I recall, the schools pretty implicit in the teams techniques so at the very least they take pride or believe in the teams tactics enough to support them. ❞

Despite this, they’re still a team that shows solid support for one another.

9: WAKUTANI

Okay, the team as a whole shows support for one another, especially their captain, Takeru. However, from what I recall, there’s not much... school spirit coming from their actual school. From Takeru’s family? Definitely, but they’re not the actual school.

8: JOHZENJI

Their whole team radiates spirit, but I don’t remember if they actually have a cheering section. Unlike Wakutani, where most of their spirit/support came directly from Takeru, each one of the members of the team had their own school spirit. Their school spirit isn’t that recognizable to be remembered by most people, though.

7: KARASUNO

Much apologies to the OG team. For one thing, their cheering squad, while I must admit is very impressive and loud, is not Karasuno High School itself. It’s literally coposed of a bunch of outside associations. And when their cheering section from the actual school does show up, they’re not even synchronized; they practiced for one day and called it “school spirit.” They showed up for one match and that was it.

❝ they mean to their vb team and they had a wack ass cheer team but character development ❞

❝ chaotic good but crows ❞

❝ mmmm we don't see too much of the school rlly apart from the vbc,, but what we do see is pretty supportive ❞

❝ LMAO remember during the first season when the school REUSED an old banner for the boys but not only was it a old banner but a banner for a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT sport yea lmao that’s just fucked up jsjsj also i don’t really see that much school spirit like ???? no taste at all ❞

I guess their school spirit within the team, their fighting spirit, makes up for it. Again, my greatest apologies to Karasuno. You can do much better than that.

❝ The way the whole school came out to support the vbc before the shiratorizawa match,,, I love them so much!! Also Saeko coming in with a DRUM TEAM for the Inarizaki match,,, like they’re so so supportive and Karasuno’s not a rich school like Shiratorizawa, it doesn’t have a highly ranked band like Inarizaki but like the team itself they’re plucky and do the best they can with what they’ve got. ❞

❝ They have the most dedication to me ❞

❝ they're so supportive of each other and very chaotic, all of them ❞

6: NEKOMA

Honestly, I had a hard time choosing whether to put Karasuno or Nekoma in sixth place. I went with Nekoma because of Kuroo’s “inspirational” pep talk, which really shows the bond between each of the members of the team, but they’re still ranked pretty low because I can’t get that one scene out of my head from the manga where it’s this one match (I won’t say which one) where students from Nekoma attend the match and a couple of them go, “Wow, this is my first volleyball match that I’ve been to!” Like, dude, seriously? Wow. They also take sixth since their cheering squad, also composed of students, is led by a Nekoma Junior High student. We love supportive sisters.

❝ they're very subtle even tho they have chaotic moments, they're more focused on defense while playing ❞

❝ Some of them really care and some dont ❞

❝ they’re all so into it! Like, Akane with the megaphone, Alisa screaming Lev’s name, they’re all pretty devoted. ❞

5: FUKURŌDANI

I would have ranked them a little higher if it weren’t for other more spirited schools. The whole school knows how to hype up Bokuto, along with cheers of their own. The team itself knows each member so well that they’re able to adapt to whatever their ace is feeling.

❝ CHAOTIC ENERGY + BOKUTO SUNSHINE BOY and i am bias + THEIR COLOURS + JERSEY OMG ❞

❝ FUCK why can’t i think of any of the episodes where they show the student body like ??? school spirit is nonexistent in my eyes i can’t recall a thing— anywhore 9/10 for my owl babies because i believe bokuto hypes up the students ALOT and therefore they are more into ya know spirit woo ❞

❝ have u seen their dynamic? they're strong and so supportive of their ace, their captain, the family bokuto needed - i could go on but yes, i think u get the picture ❞

❝ They love Bokuto so much 🥺 they’re all v supportive of the team and it seems like they also know how to get him to perform better and Fukurodani’s a powerhouse so I feel like they get into it. ❞

4: AOBA JOHSAI

Their cheering squad is so synchronized and so well-performed. They know what they’re doing and when to do things. You can tell they’re devoted. School spirit within their team is pretty strong, and they have a good bond with each other.

So much to say about them. From their entire cheering squad that consists of both cheerleaders and drummers, to the fact that when they feel like they’re being challenged with who can cheer louder they start singing their school anthem? Absolutely powerful.

1: INARIZAKI

There’s too much to say. They’re so extra it’s unbelievable. The entire cheering section knows how to adapt to each members’ likes and dislikes, and will call others out when they need to do so. For instance, when that one guy asked the two girls not to cheer while Atsumu is serving? Absolutely wild. And when they start booing or play a tempo to throw off the opponent whenever it’s the other team’s serve? Their practice and precision really shows. It’s crazy. And I’m pretty sure that they’re the only school that brings their entire orchestra to play during the matches.

❝ according to the wiki their marching band literally works to throw off the other team and if that’s not dedication idk what is ❞

hello hola bonjour or whatever. So as some of you may have noticed, a new boy group called CIX has debuted under C9 entertainment! Consisting of Bae Jinyoung, Kim Seunghun, Lee Byounggon (BX), Yoon Hyunsuk and Kim Yonghee, they’re here to steal your heart uwu.

Now let’s get to the survival show part, as some of you already know, Baejin ended in 10th place in Mnet’s Produce 101 Season 2 and made it into the final group Wanna One. It’s pretty much impossible for me to link every single W1 video, interview, performance, show, etc., out there so watching P101 S2, Wanna One Go S1, Zero Base, In Jeju, X-Con; Weekly Idol Ep. 315 and 316 and Idol Room is enough to get to know a lil bit abt this cutie. + here’s a funny Just Bae Jinyoung things video I found, enjoy fam.

Byounggon participated in Mixnine back in 2017, ended in 9th place and made it into the debut lineup as well but long story short YG sucks and their debut never happened. The show itself has some of the best survival show performances I’ve ever seen so you can check it out as well.

Seunghun appeared in JYP’s Stray Kids in 2017 along other yg trainees (Like AB6IX’s Woong, Produce X 101/AAP.Y’s Lee Midam, Kpop Star S2 Runner up Bang Yedam, etc.) and he performed in both dance and vocal.

Even though I recommend you to pretend this never happened, Seunghun and Byounggon are both ex yg trainees and they appeared on the survival YG Treasure Box at the end of 2018. They were both treated like shit so it’s painful as hell to watch, however if you enjoy pain (like me) then you can watch it on Youtube with eng sub.

major: modeling (i still cant believe this is an actual major im living under a rock smh)

other activities: member of music club, keyboardist and main singer of the university band

jae calls him “the backbone” of the music club because wonpil participates in all club events, he always takes part in weekly activities, and he actively finds new recruits

jae on the other side pops up once in a blue moon to play guitar, do shit, then disappears

don’t worry ever since jae starts dating the newest member who happens to be wonpil’s bestie he’s more active now

honestly more than half of their club members joined because wonpil made them to

he’s persuasive and convincing okay you would end up eating rocks if he told you it’s good for health

but he’ll never do that ever bc he speaks no lies okay he’s like the sweetest person in the earth

he’ll cry by the sight of cute puppies, do i have to explain further

wonpil was nominated as the club president but the other candidate park sungjin who’s also his roommate beat him by one vote

well he prefers to be just regular member anyway, that way he can still do a lot of things for the club but with less responsibilities

you see he’s really nice, he’s caring, he’s hardworking, he’s confident, he knows how to present himself and he’s hella attractive

he’s taking modeling as his major do i make myself clear

it was ur first work day as well btw and he was ur first customer

he didn’t know why but watching you being nervous made him nervous too

just imagine a stuttering costumer and a stuttering barista

everyone watched you two with anxiety

he receives his coffee and takes a sip and he freezes

Comfort and cheese fries (Hoseok x reader)

Note: This fic is a little longer, but I promise you’ll love it! And yes, I was recently ghosted by this guy named Francisco, so revenge bitch uwu. Btw, we’ve been getting so much positive attention on this blog, and we’re nearly at 300, so thank you all so much for participating in the contest! It means the world to me! Enjoy the fic, and I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s and a great rest of February!

This night really couldn’t get any worse. Being abandoned by your “date”, Francisco, aka the biggest fuckboy in school, was bad, but even worse? Spending $50 on a dress, $30 on a manicure, $45 on hair, and forcing yourself into the world’s most uncomfortable heels, the ones you bought months before prom, and making yourself up so much you barely recognized yourself...all for a guy that never gave two shits about you in the first place.

You automatically start sobbing even harder than before, simultaneously praying that the music inside is loud enough to mute your sobs, and that nobody comes outside unless if it’s to puke (you know for a fact that Taehyung and several of your other friends managed to sneak in some cheap wine and vodka). Your purse buzzes, and you fish around for your phone. 2 missed calls from Namjoon, 4 texts, 2 from Jimin and the rest from Jungkook, and about a million messages on Instagram and Snapchat, all from Jin, Taehyung, and Yoongi, and the rest of your other friends, half of them most definitely sent when drunk, the other half sent when they managed to somewhat sober up.

And nothing from Hoseok.

You force back a sob, wipe your eyes furiously, cursing yourself for not thinking to bring makeup wipes, and type out a message to Taehyung.

Where’s Hoseok?

Three dots. Finally, a message: Dunno. That bitch Megan abandoned him, too, funny enough. Do you need me to come find you?

No, it’s fine. I’m ok, I’m safe, tell everyone else that I’m ok too. I’ll probably just go home.

Ok. If u want, I’ll talk to F for you. He’s an ass, and he deserves to be called out.

Forget it. It’s a lost cause.

Ok. And again, (Y/N), I’m so sorry.

You turn off your phone, and start sobbing again, crying so hard until no sound comes out. Finally, after what feels like hours, you stop.

As much as you will your mind against it, it keeps wandering back to Hoseok.

You remember the day you first met. You had managed to snag a job at the local diner the summer before your sophomore year, and Hoseok, being new to town, had started to frequent the diner during summer and would even work on his homework there after school after ordering his usual, a vanilla malt with fries, with or without cheese. You couldn’t help but notice how attractive he was, and your feelings only started to develop even more after finding out you and him shared classes together. You even started trying to find subtle ways to flirt with him, always secretly sneaking him a free soda or extra cheese or ketchup for his fries, always making sure he sees you first and that you get to serve him first. Finally, after what felt like a million years, he started to talk to you, and it turned out you two had a ton in common, from dreams and aspirations to your favorite flavor of malt being vanilla. But before you knew it, he had gotten a girlfriend, Megan, and Hoseok was happy, but there was only one problem-she hated you and the rest of his friends. She completely isolated him you and them, and barely seemed to ever actually care for him.

Suddenly, your phone buzzes. You open it, and it’s a picture from Yoongi, complete with a few videos. You look closer, and gasp.

It’s Francisco. Kissing Megan. Actually, more like kissing and groping. Great.

Does Hoseok know???

Don’t know. But obviously we’re gonna send it to him. She never really deserved him anyways. How’re you holding up? Do you need us to come out there??

No. Where’s Hoseok? Bathroom, probably. Want me to go in there and look?

Ok. But only let him come outside if he wants to.

Of course.

You put down your phone, and just shake your head. Of course it would be Megan and Francisco of all the surprise hookups on prom night. What made you expect any better?

Suddenly, a voice interrupts your thoughts. “(Y/N)?”

You look up, and it’s Hoseok. You hastily start wiping your face and eyes, praying you don’t look as bad as you think in front of your favorite boy, especially when he looks so good, even if his hair is slightly ruffled and the bow of his tux is undone, his vest somewhat unbuttoned. Hoseok mentions to the step. “Can I sit?” You nod, and he sits down, removes your hand from your face, holds it, brushes a stray strand of hair out of your face, and sighs. “(Y/N)...I was an idiot. I should have realized all this time...it was you. I’ve liked you ever since I started talking to you, and I was just too dumb to ever realize it before it hit me.”

You must look shocked, because he chuckles. “Don’t give me that look, jagi. It’s written all over your face. And I sort of figured you liked me”, he smirks. “The rest of the guys and everyone else has been cluing me in for a while.” And before you know it, he’s moving in to kiss you, and it’s better than you could have ever imagined.

Suddenly, you’re interrupted by a flood of light and a sudden cacophony of voices and music, all from the inside. “Get a room already!”, Yoongi slurs, sounding very, very loud and also very, very drunk. Taehyung chimes in. “Remember to use protection!”, “Hell yeah, (Y/N) and Hobi! Get some!”, Jimin cheers. “Guys!”, Namjoon yells, sounding drunk but slightly more sober than the rest. “Let them have their privacy.”

Finally, they manage to leave you two alone, and Hoseok just shakes his head and laughs, and you join in. “We need to get out of here.” “Diner?”, you say, and his eyes light up.

You and your new boyfriend, a word you’d never dare to think would become a reality with Hoseok, waltz into the diner, and end up sharing a plate of cheese fries, with Hoseok insisting that he pay. Suddenly, you receive a text from Namjoon, and it’s an entire group message. “Hey, they’re about to announce prom king and queen!”

“Eh, I could really care less (Y/N). Plus, I already voted for Namjoon and his date.” “Really? It’s still kind of a big deal....”,

“Really”, he says, taking your hand in his once again. “Why go back when I have an actual queen who also happens to be my girlfriend?”

Even the beginning was rad, just listen how Andriy Danilko was announced, “His commentary is already as honest as it gets, but last year he outshined himself, a person who can tell you to go (fuck yourself) and don’t notice it - Andriy Danilko”

--- Host going like, “omg, Danilko, you have a different shirt today, will the same happen to your hat one day??”

---one time I actually agreed with our host was about organizators’ motto being “not a single Vidbir without Melovin” and hey, who can blame them?

--H: ¨and while at the other side of the screen Melovinators are losing their voices due to screaming, and someone at the backstage is being revived, I want to say that he was asked to participate as a guest, not as a participant¨ - bold of u to assume it will stop all the screaming

- Andriy Myhaylovych (Danilko), do you know that you are a human meme? - Yeah, I am aware. Probably that’s just my destiny.

--Host called “ЦеШо“ minions cause of their yellow outfits and they responded by making minion sounds every time he turned his back to them, to the point that it was freaking him out. Hell yeah!

--- Maruv: “My fans were like, “maybe-maybe you will participate in Eurovision?? so i had to tense my ass and write another song.”

--Host to Danilko, ”Once one famous sportsman said: if you are the 1st one - everybody remembers you, if you are 2nd - nobody remembers you. Melovin got 17th place. What is this result to you?” -- I will tell you - your sportsman is stupid, because everybody knows the 2nd one”

--”I will tell you - I was very proud of Melovin’s performance, Because that atmosphere of negativity that was aimed at him at the national selection.., and it’s not really cause of the jury, let’s say it was cause of some other people if to put it gently, and I did say it very gently. I was.. you know, I was calm watching the performance; before, during the day, I have sent him a text message. Have you got it, btw? - (Mel) A huge thank you for everything! - Then why haven’t you replied?? *Mel starts laughing* --I am joking, joking, he did reply. I was sitting and was so content with you being confident, you being calm, everything went smoothly. What place? Guys, every time, on every national selection I am trying to tell everybody - that doesn’t matter at all. What matters is the quality of your country’s performance. And it was very high quality, it was proper, it wasn’t like any other year. Good job! --”He was the first one to write to me after the performance. I adore you!”

You Have Been Warned.

"Hey! Everyone come down here for a minute!"

Virgil paused in his reading. The voice sounded like Roman's, virgil debated for a second whether to continue reading his R.L. Stine book or actually go down.

"Kiddos! Roman has a surprise for us!"

Welp, guess he's gonna read another time. Can't say no to patton.

When virgil made it to the common room, he saw patton enthusiastically talking to logan, who looked a little out of his league trying to calmly talk back. Virgil could only guess that patton was trying to get logan on board with what he wants by bombarding logan with his excitement. This is why you dont say no to patton, you're gonna end up saying yes anyways. (Unless youre truly uncomfortable or can't, whatever patton is doing always end up being enjoyable)

"Virgil!". At the sound of his name, he is pulled out his thoughts and sees roman.

"So glad that you're here, i had an amazing idea! And i do hope you'll participate!" roman exclaims excitedly

"Well, whats the idea?" virgil asks

Roman bounces in place, obviously excited to share his wonderful idea. "We're gonna go trick or treating in the imagination!" he squeals "as children too!"

....we're gonna what now?

Virgil simply stares at the creative side as he processes what he just heard.

Well, he thinks, its not a bad idea. That is usually what one does on Halloween, if you're a kid. But roman said they would be going as children so...its fine right? But the imagination could be dangerous, monsters could appear, the dragon witch could appear, and poisoned candy, and predators, and- no. This is romans imagination, he can make it whatever he wants. He could make it safe. Yeah..its sounds fun too.

Virgil blinks as he comes to a decision, only to notice everyone staring at him. "What?"

"Kiddo, you've been standing there frozen-"

"With the most enraged expression that could bring even the dragon witch to her knees" roman interrupts

"-for that past five minutes" patton continues, ignoring the interruption

"Oh.." virgil rubs the back of his neck, a little embarrassed he did that

"What were you thinking about, kiddo?"

"Roman's idea"

Roman fidgets, smiling shyly "..do you like it?"

Virgil had forgotten how nervous roman gets about people liking his ideas, he grins "yeah, it sounds like fun"

Roman beams, excitedly jumping again. "Oh this is wonderful! Its gonna be so much fun! Youre coming too right logan?". Logan side glances at patton nervously, "indeed." "GREAT! We'll meet back down here at 9 pm, be ready in y'alls costumes!" roman yells as races up the stairs heading to his room.

At 9pm on the dot, virgil appears in the common room in costume. First one here huh?

As soon as he thought that, he hears someone descending the stairs.

Patton was walking with the grace of an angel. His cat bug dress flowing around above his knees and his wings bouncing with each step he took. He looked utterly adorable. He and virgil made eye contact and virgil was about to compliment him when-

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!! CREEPY CRAWLER!!!!!!!!"

Patton fled to the kitchen to hide, nearly tripping on himself. "Wait- pat- its me virgil!" he calls out. Green eyes peer around the corner.

"My dark strange Vee?"

"Y-yeah"

"You look very, very scary....good job."

"I could change...if you want"

Patton lunges forward "NO! uh- i mean- you look good, its halloween, you're supposed to be sca-scary..or cute" patton stutters

Virgil blinks. "Oh well, thanks...you look cute..btw.."

A blush spreads across pat's cheeks. "..thank you"

"UGH! get a room you two! Gag!"

They both turn to the sound of the voice and see roman at the bottom of the stairs in all his costume glory. His Kusco costume a vibrant red, accentuating the curves of his body. His make-up lighting up his face.

"By the way," he purrs, " i looove both of y'alls costumes". He looks down at virgil pants, purple with red lines around the rips, curiosity taking over his features "what kind of spider are you stormcloud?"

"A peacock spider"

Virgil proceeds to throws his hands up in a U form and simply stares at them.

Roman leans over, stage whispering to patton, "why is he doing that, its weirding me out"

A voice cuts in from behind. "That is the Maratus volans, or peacock spider, mating dance. Although you are doing it wrong virgil, the spiders vibrate to catch the attention of a mate and then they raise the legs for display and move side to side". Logan steps down from where he was standing on the stairs.

Virgil quickly drops his arm. "ITS A MATING DANCE!!" he screeches, voice rising on 'mating'.

Logan tilts his head "you didnt know?"

"Look virgil i love you and all but im not interested", mischief fills his eyes, he leans closer "but i doubt patton minds" he whispers

Virgil flushes, "sh-shut up, you idiot!". Virgil grabs a couch pillow and flings it roman. Roman squawks.

Patton turns to logan, leaving the other two to banter.

"Who are you, lo?"

"The Doctor"

"Doctor who??"

"Yes"

"...no i meant- oh..", realization dawns on patton, he smiles, "you look great lo!"

Logan nods "Thank you, you look very good as well"

"Thank you!" pat chirps

"Virgil look your boyfriend is cheating on you-" WHACK.

"we arent dating!!" virgil yelps, furiously blushing

The other side also is as red as a tomato, staring at the other two with wide eyes.

Surely roman wasnt implying virgil liked him, that not true right? Virgil couldnt possibly like him back. Wait does that mean virgil knows about how he feels? Oh god no, he's gonna be rejected and they're gonna stop being friends and-

"BOO!"

Everybody screams.

Deceit cackles while the other try to get their hearts to stop pounding at their chests. "If you guys aren't done, i wouldn't like to get going" deceit say after he stops laughing

Roman perks up, "OHMYGOSH! Are you Bill Cipher!!"

"No" he proudly, posing a little bit

Roman squeals "I love you costume, you look so good!"

Deceit's cheek go little pink. "Lets not get going" he says, pointedly avoiding looking at roman.

When they get to roman's door, roman preceeds to knock on it.

Tap taptaptap tap!

It glows for a few seconds then opens.

One the other side is a neighborhood, houses decked out in decorations, kids and families dressed in costumes. The smell of candy and the sound of laughter filling the air. It looked absolutely amazing, the people looked happy, the decorations looked scary and almost real and some were just cute looking.

"After you" roman says

Patton steps through first, his size immediately shrinking and shrinking until he looked like a child.

Patton looks at his tiny body, "oh woah!" he squeals in his now squeaky voice, he turns back to everyone, "come on guys!"

And one by one the other stepped through the doorway and turned into a child. Once everyone was through the door closed and disappeared.

"Yo-you can make it come back...wight?" virgil asks, a hint of nervousness in his voice as he glances where the door once was.

"Of couwse" roman assures

"TIME TO TWICK OR TWEAT!" patton squeals

And off they went, starting with the house closest to them. Roman had made this world so that all houses has all the good candies and no spiders, theres nothing to wowwy about pat-pat!

They're knocking on the door, to the house they're at at the moment, excited for more candy, when the door opens.

"Dwagon witch!!" roman yells

Virgil puts an arm around pat and hold him closer. All of them looking ready to bolt(except roman who looks ready to fight)

The dragon witch just laughs, amusement in her eyes. "Worry not little prince", roman pouts at that, "im not here to ruin your night. I too, enjoy this night and simply wished to participate". She turned around to grab something, the small prince tensed, and turned back with a small cauldron. Full of candy.

All the sides yelled 'CANDY' when they saw.

"Of course you must say the magic words to receive some" the dragon witch said

"TWICK O TWEAT!!!"

After everyone got their candy, they thanked the dragon witch and started to leave. Except roman. Roman went up to the dragon witch and tugged on her dress.

"Yes, young prince?"

Roman didnt say anything. He just away and, to her surprised, hugged her.

"Thank you" he whispered quietly before running off back to his friends.

The dragon witch closed her door with a small smile on her face.

It was nearing the end of the night and everyone had long since grown tired. Pat was dragging his feet, virgil was cranky, deceit was pretending he wasn't tired, logan looked dead on his feet, and roman was shifting from foot to foot because his feet hurt.

"Who wants to go home?" the little prince tiredly asked

A chorus of 'me' rang about.

"O-...okay" roman yawned

He snapped his fingers and the door appeared.

It took much effort to walk to and through the door. Everyone turned back to their right age immediately after they passed through the door and then trudged to their rooms. Mumbles of 'goodnight' filled the air.

In the morning everyone will join up in the common room and sort through their candy, eating some along the way. But for now they'll go to sleep after an awesome night of trick-or-treating.
