Kidult
Tumblr media
genre: fluff, established relationship
pairing: Seokmin x reader
summary: Seokmin brings out the kid in you, what more can you say?
warnings: none!
note: I hope everyone reading this fic knows that it's alright to embrace your inner child! Enjoy reading <33
Tumblr media
There was just something about Seokmin that made you feel like a kid again.
Maybe it was the way he went through life with a childlike joy and innocence. Maybe it was the way he seemed to never have a single worry in the world.
Or maybe it was in moments like this, when he was like a grown-up child who never hesitated to have a bit fun with you.
Tumblr media
"Baby, let's go outside!"
"What? Are you crazy?" you exclaim, your eyed wide in disbelief when you hear your boyfriend's statement. "It's raining, we're going to get sick."
"I know...but, please?" Seokmin pleads, his hands finding yours and giving them a small tug, silently begging you to change your mind. "It'll be fun, and we can always just take a really warm shower afterwards so we don't get sick."
You let out a sigh and pause for a moment before finally relenting. "Fine, but if we get sick it's your fault."
Letting out a happy cheer, Seokmin giddily drags you out the door.
"The umbrellas, we're-," you begin to yell, but your words only fall to deaf ears as Seokmin already makes his way outside, letting the rain wet his clothes as he shrieks in joy.
"C'mon, join me!" Seokmin shouts with a laugh as he jumps into a puddle, oblivious to the fact that its splash completely soaks his pants. "It'll be okay, don't worry," he reassures while running to your side with a bright smile on his face even though his clothes are completely soaked. Enveloping his hand with yours, Seokmin leads you into the rain.
At first you let out a shriek at the way the cold rain meets your skin, sending shivers down your body. But soon your body gets used to the droplets and all you can focus on is how free you feel.
You're not even worrying about how your clothes are completely soaked, or the fact that you and Seokmin are definitely going to get sick after this. But rather, you're focusing on the way you feel like a kid again as you have fun with Seokmin in the rain without a single care in the world.
You're focusing on the way your laughter echos Seokmins' as he runs around in the rain with you. The world blurring and leaving you and Seokmin in your own separate world where there is only him and you, playing in the rain as time slips away unnoticed.
Bringing your soaked body closer to his, Seokmin gently cups your face with his hands and presses a kiss onto your lips. "I feel like a kid in love when I'm with you," Seokmin whispers into your ear as the rain falls on the both of you.
"Maybe you are," you retort with a fond laugh before feeling a shiver go down your back, your boyfriend quickly catching notice.
"Hm, about time we go home and take a nice warm shower don't you think?"
"Definitely," you reply with a giggle.
Tumblr media
"This is all your fault," you groan as you blow your nose for what seems like the hundredth time. "I told you we would get sick if we played in the rain."
"It's okay, at least we're sick together," Seokmin says with a cheesy grin as he sits up and tries to give you a kiss before accidentally letting out a wet sneeze.
"Ew, get your snot covered face away from me," you say with a teasing laugh before handing him the tissue box. "I'll kiss you when you get better."

"o-oh"
"seokmin, fuck, just forget i said anything," you groaned, covering your face with your hands in embarrassment.
why did you think it was a good idea to bring up your drunken ramblings to seokmin completely unprovoked?
"n-no! don't be embarrassed. you just surprised me, that's all," he sat next to you on the couch, encouraging you to remove your hands from your face.
"it is embarrassing. i dont want you to think of me as some horny loser lusting after her best friend. i swear, i didnt even bring it up! they were just talking about guys with big noses and you were the first guy that i thought of and-"
"my nose? you thought about how my nose would feel?"
"n-no, i-"
"i, i mean, it's okay if you did," he said, scooting closer to you despite his eyes looking everywhere but into yours.
you decided to take a plunge, turning your body to face his as you looked to him in wonderment.
"what do you mean?"
"i mean, uh, i mean that it wouldn't bother me if ... if you thought about me in that way," seokmin winced at himself as the words left him, still unable to look at you.
gulping, you got closer to him, nudging him to turn to you also.
"do you mean that, seokmin? i ... do you-"
"yes," he was firm in his answer, finally looking at you.
"oh ... do you wanna ..."
"yes," he practically whined.
~
"o-oh, fuck! m-minnie, just like that ... yes!"
"'sso good, shit. so warm ..."
it hadn't taken much encouragement for you to jump seokmin after he'd given you confirmation that he did, in fact, want you in the same way you did him. after aggressively making out for a good ten minutes or so, seokmin had pleaded for you to please open your legs for him and let him have a taste of you. you, being you, needed no convincing to open your legs and guide him where you wanted him most.
by now he had spent the past ten minutes alternating between licking at you and suckling on your clit, but he was yet to show you what his nose would feel like as it slid against your folds.
before you could beg for it, seokmin's strong arms grabbed a hold of your hips and tilted you a bit in order to position his nose in a way that would grace your bundle of nerves just right all the while his tongue continued to explore you.
you screamed the moment you felt his sharp nose drag up and down your cunt, falling in love with its straight shape and the slight slope of it. the sharpness and rough exterior of his nose made you cry out in pleasure. it wasnt long until you began grinding against his face like a maniac, completely ignoring his attempts at guiding you against his face.
grabbing his head, you rubbed him against you while you canted your cunt against his face, tears flowing down your face at the pleasure.
"y-your nose, minnie! o-oh ... so good, fuck. so fucking good ..." you breathed out, followed by many other praised and curses at the pretty boy below you.
he was unable to speak due to the way you had taken over the entirety of his mouth, but his groans of pleasure were enough to get you crying even harder for him.
seokmin continued savagely eating you out while you ground against his nose all the way until your high, somehow managing to speed up his movements the closer you got to your orgasm.
with a silent scream, your fists closed in on seokmin's hair one last time before you dropped limp against your bed.
the room was silent for a few moments while both you and seokmin caught your breaths. but the moment the two of you were apt to speak, seokmin climbed on the bed and began kissing his way up to your lips, giggling at your fucked out state.
"so my nose, huh?" he teased, face scrunched up due to his pretty smile.
"shut up."

pairing : lee seokmin x gn!reader
"13 ways to say "i love you" with seventeen"

a/n :still not sure how i feel about the ending on this one
Tumblr media
Sometimes it feels like the universe is actively out to get you. Like for some reason, whatever Gods above have chosen you as the perfect target for their cruel jokes as a cure for their boredom.
Everything that could have possibly gone wrong, had.
Your coffee spilled first thing in the morning, scorching your skin and ruining your uniform. The back left tire of your car was flat, forcing you to take the morning train. Which you missed due to your coffee incident. Work was hectic, your boss on your ass about anything and everything, and for some reason, every customer came in with a personal vendetta against you and you alone. And to top it all off, some creep wouldn't stop making comments at you on the train back home.
You're so desperate to just curl up in bed and hide from the world that you forgo the thought of dinner or cleaning like you had planned all together.
For what feels like hours, you lay there. Until the sun falls in the sky and your room fades into darkness. Unwilling to move even an inch to flip a light on or check your phone. Your apartment stays dead silent. Eventually, you hear the front door open and shut, followed by the sound of footsteps approaching closer. They pause just outside your bedroom door.
"Baby, are you in there?" Comes a voice, one so soft you nearly burst into tears from the sound of it alone. "I'm coming in, okay?"
The knob turns and in comes Seokmin, illuminated by a halo of light that pours in from the hallway. He takes one look at you and frowns. "Are you okay?" He asks, setting your spare key and his phone on your dresser before sitting on the edge of your bed.
"I got really worried when you weren't answering after work," he continues. "What happened?"
"It's fine, Seok," you sigh, already feeling like a burden on him. "But it's been a long day and I just really want to handle it alone, okay? I'm sorry you came all the way here."
He just stares at you, sad eyes searching your face for some type of answer. You feel like you've just kicked a puppy asking him to leave, but it's best this way. Seokmin's heart is far too soft, ready to soak up every ounce of negative emotion it can for him to bear the weight of. And you hate seeing Seokmin sad.
"You don't have to handle it alone though, that's what I'm here for." You really wish you could return his cheery optimism and put him at ease, but instead, you simply turn in your cocoon so you won't have to face his disappointed expression. Yet somehow, that doesn't deter him.
Whereas anyone else probably would've up and left by now, Seokmin simply scoops you up into his arms, blankets and all. He starts pressing wet, sloppy kisses all over your face before you can voice a single protest. Even when you attempt to hide from the barrage of affection in his chest he doesn't let up.
"Seokmin!" You whine, palms coming up to shield your face. He just laughs and easily pulls your wrists away, looping them behind his neck before pressing two more pecks to each cheek. Seokmin leans back to examine your face.
"I'm not stopping until you smile."
"I appreciate you trying but–"
Yet another merciless attack befalls your face, this time with exaggerated mwuahs for good measure. Though every few kisses, Seokmin mutters small, sincere 'I love yous' that begin to chip away at the walls you'd so desperately tried to construct.
So when your boyfriend finally pulls back for a second time he begins to beam with pride at the lopsided smile ghosting your lips. "There it is," he coos, softly lifting your chin with his thumb. "Now tell me, what almost stole my favorite sight in this world from me?"

it’s 11:58pm when seokmin knocks on your front door.
you don’t have to check to know it’s him. he has a certain pattern to his knocks; and besides, he’s the only person who’d show up to your place at this time of night. he’s done it every year, once a year, for the four years you’ve been best friends — for your birthday.
there’s a fondness that pulls up your lips, when you crawl out of bed to unlock the door — but his voice, muffled from the hallway, stops you from opening it. “wait! there’s still a minute left. don’t open.”
the problem with seokmin is that he doesn’t realise just how captivating — how enchanting — he is. and the problem with you is that you have realised. for about a year and a half, something you refuse to confront head-on has been dwelling inside you, tightening your ribs with every smile seokmin sends you, sending your stomach churning every time he grabs your hand.
in other words, you’re in love with your best friend.
“you don’t have to do this every year,” you say, through the crack in the door, but the smile on your face has seeped into your tone. “you know that, right?”
“i know,” he says simply. “i like doing things for you.” a pause. “you know that, right?”
you don’t have time to respond; seokmin’s pushing the door handle down himself, now that you’ve unlocked it, and he swings it open to reveal himself. armed with a candle-studded cake and one of those gorgeous smiles, and for the millionth time, you feel yourself falling that little bit deeper.
“happy birthday,” he says softly, and there’s a moment, where he hovers uncertainly in the doorway and you lose yourself in your feelings, something intangible suspended in the space between you, and then —
“officially ancient,” he adds, and the moment is shattered with joint laughter, as he lets himself in. seokmin moves around your apartment with an easy familiarity; he knows the place as well as you, fishing spoons and plates out the drawers, telling you about the struggle of lighting the candles as he does.
you’re just about to blow the candles out when he joins you — but he claps a hand over your mouth before you can, voice tinged with distress. “make a wish first!” he demands, eyebrows furrowed. “don’t you have things to ask for?”
you feign a smile. if only he knew. and so you make a wish, the same wish you made last year — even as you think it, you figure it’s useless. but still, there’s always a tiny, warm spark of hope that lingers.
once the candles have been extinguished, and the cake is divided, seokmin speaks again. “so…” he waggles his eyebrows. “what did you wish for?”
your cheeks grow hot almost instantly, and you avoid his gaze, shovelling more of the cake in your mouth. it’s your favourite. you shouldn’t be surprised: he knows all your favourites. he has a note on his notes app dedicated to your go-to orders and favourite snacks.
“can’t tell you,” you mumble, around a mouthful of icing. “or it won’t come true.”
seokmin sighs, disappointedly. “you’ll tell me when it comes true, though, won’t you?”
you glance at him, noticing how his eyes are round, inviting pools of honey brown — you feel like you’re sinking into them. “yeah,” you breathe, voice quietening without your permission. “i’ll, uh, i’ll let you know.”
neither of you look away. it’s another of those moments, fraught with some sort of lingering tension: both of you are frozen. too far to go back, too nervous to go forward.
his gaze flicks to your lips.
you barely catch it — one tiny split-second of weakness, maybe. blink and you would have missed it. but you don’t.
maybe you’re emboldened by the sugar, or the high of being treated as well as he treats you, or maybe it’s the late hour dulling your rationality, but whatever it is, it means you’re darting forward, placing the most delicate, fleeting kiss on his icing-covered lips.
you pull away. the regret seeps in, dousing you in cold water, and you open your mouth to apologise, to explain, to tell him to forget it, but suddenly seokmin’s hands are cupping your jaw, he’s moving impossibly closer, and he’s kissing you. with a gentle intensity that warms you from the inside out, long and sweet, and better than you could ever have imagined.
seconds or minutes or hours later, you break apart. his cheeks are tinged with rose, your leg is bouncing, but both of you are smiling — positively beaming, even. and you cast a glance at him, tentative, shy, breathless, and tell him, as promised.
“my wish,” you break the silence softly. “it came true.”

"kyeom, i can feel you staring."
"okay. and?"
y/n scowled quietly while opening his eyes. dokyeom was laying directly in front of him, just centimeters away.
"it's making me self conscious."
"but you're so perfect," dokyeom countered with a small pout. "looking at you makes me happy. my favorite boy."
"damn it," y/n muttered as he felt a blush creep onto his face. he quickly rolled over to the other side of his bed. "i hate you."
dokyeom simply laughed at his stubborness.
"you love me," he insisted while slipping his arms around y/n's waist, spooning him.
y/n smiled, still trying to hide it though. dokyeom nuzzled his face into his neck while planting tiny kisses against his skin.
"you're still burning up.." dokyeom mumbled. he could feel the heat radiating off of y/n's neck and face, making him even more worried.
"hm.. 'm fine, kyeom," y/n responded drowsily.
"are you sure you don't wanna just go to a doctor?"
"i hate doctors."
"baby," dokyeom quickly argued. y/n didn't need to look at him to know he was frowning - or probably just pouting. he sighed and turned back over to face him.
"if it doesnt pass after tomorrow then i'll go see one, okay?" he promised, leaving a short kiss on the other's forehead.
dokyeom smiled and nodded before catching the male's lips instead. he kissed him deeply, whispering a small "thank you" after pulling away.
"don't you need to leave for rehearsals with the guys?" y/n asked, looking up at him.
"no."
y/n blinked. "no?.."
"i'm staying here."
"what? no. you should go to work."
dokyeom shook his head. "i'm worried about you. i'm staying here."
"kyeom-"
"i already texted our manager. just let me take care of you."
y/n frowned, now seeing the concern in his boyfriend's eyes. he sighed and gave in before snuggling into dokyeom's chest.
"okay, baby. you can take care of me."
dokyeom finally smiled again and nodded his head in triumph.
"i'm sleepy," y/n mumbled into the other's slightly wrinkled shirt.
"then sleep, bub."
"mm.. will you sleep too?"
"i'm not really tired enough to nap, honestly. but i'll stay with you."
y/n felt his heart skip. he smiled and snuggled into him again, soon falling asleep in his arms.
Tumblr media
after sleeping for about an hour and a half, y/n woke up to hear soft humming coming from beside him. he looked up at his partner. dokyeom's eyes were closed peacefully as his phone played wave to earth on the bedside table. he was humming along quietly and running his hands along y/n's arms to the rhythm.
"your voice is so beautiful," y/n complimented.
dokyeom's eyes shot open. he looked down at the boy in his arms.
"did i wake you up??"
"kinda, but it's okay. i like waking up to this."
dokyeom frowned, "no, go back to sleep. i'll shut up."
y/n took the male's hand in his own and gave it a reassuring kiss.
"kyeom, it's okay. i'm hungry now anyways."
dokyeom looked at him for a moment, as if debating his fault.
"alright, i'll see what i can make us for dinner."
"i barely have any food here right now," y/n warned. "unless you want cup noodles for dinner."
"tsk. remind me to go grocery shopping for you tomorrow."
y/n rolled his eyes, "i like cup noodles."
"cup noodles are not a meal."
y/n scowled at such a response.
"'ooh look at me, i'm dk, i'm too good for cup noodles,'" y/n teased, waving his hands around in a mocking tone.
dokyeom squinted at him with fake hatred, "you're lucky you're sick right now."
y/n stuck his tongue out and sunk into the covers of his bed. dokyeom shook his head at him before finally exiting the bedroom.
sure enough, all he could find in y/n's kitchen were cup noodles. he sighed. he wished they could just go out for dinner, but he didn't wanna risk getting anyone sick. he settled on ordering in some food instead.
eventually, y/n got bored by himself. he slowly got out of bed and trudged out of his bedroom. he followed the sound of the music coming from dokyeom's phone, leading him onto his large balcony.
"what're you doing, love?" y/n asked.
dokyeom looked up in surprise as he adjusted one of y/n's small tables on top of some blankets he'd put on the balcony's floor.
"since we can't go out, i thought we'd have dinner outside at least. a home date," he explained. "the fresh air will be good for you and it's so nice out tonight."
y/n couldn't stop a smile from growing on his lips.
"that sounds amazing. thank you."
dokyeom nodded and gave his cheek a light kiss. y/n could tell that the other was proud of himself. dokyeom would never admit it, but he loved hearing approval and praise - especially from y/n.
once their food arrived, dokyeom set everything out and made them drinks. the balcony was the prettiest y/n had ever seen it. with his fairy lights lit and the blankets and a couple pillows brought out, it looked all cozy and warm.
dokyeom set their chopsticks out as a finishing touch before they finally sat down together. it smelled amazing and neither could wait to start eating.
after taking his first bite, y/n hummed in satisfaction. he smiled and closed his eyes, savoring the flavor in his mouth. dokyeom gazed over at him. he was completely in love.
"how do you still manage to look so perfect even when you're sick?"
y/n opened his eyes again and now saw his partner's eyes on him. he couldn't help but blush a little.
"your eyes are broken."
dokyeom's brows furrowed. he leaned forward, over the table and close to y/n's lips.
"my eyes are fine." he gave y/n another kiss, longer and deeper this time, "my pretty boy."
y/n then watched him pull away and go back to his food. he knew his ears and cheeks were probably turning red, while dokyeom just picked up his chopsticks and went right back to eating as if nothing happened.
"how-" y/n didn't know what to say. dokyeom looked back up at him.
"hm?" he hummed. the fake cluelessness on his face made y/n send him a small death glare.
"oh i hate you, lee seokmin."
dokyeom laughed endearingly at the remark, then simply smiled at him.
"you love me, baby."

Your camera clicked as you snapped multiple photos of the sun's rays against the top of the water’s ripples. Spring was in its prime and when you woke up that morning, you knew the weather was perfect for an outing to the marina park. You stopped clicking the shutter and flipped open the screen to review the photos you just took with a small smile. You had captured several shots of the sun’s reflection, the halo of it spreading out across the water as it nearly blinded you with its brilliance.
As a magazine photographer, you enjoyed your work taking photos of models and fashion items. Still, sometimes it was nice to take photos for yourself, for your own enjoyment and the park at the marina near your home never let you down. Soon, the cherry trees surrounding the area would bloom, providing you with more of the nature content you loved photographing the most.
You stopped looking at the pictures you took and pulled out your phone to look at the time when you noticed a text from your boyfriend letting you know that he was coming to pick you up from the park. He sent that about 10 minutes ago and most likely would be waiting in the parking lot any minute now. You made your way to the lot where he was indeed waiting for you in the car when you arrived.
You opened the door to the back of the car, offloading the tripod you were carrying on your shoulder into the seat and setting your camera bag next to it. “Did you get some good shots today, love?” Seokmin asked you from the front seat. You looked up to answer him and were quite happy you hadn’t put your camera in its bag yet because your boyfriend looked so stunning in the glow of the sunset.
You lifted your camera and looked through the viewfinder, seeing the most perfect shot of him. He had the window rolled open to let in the warm breeze and it ruffled his bangs slightly. His head leaned back against the headrest, and his sunglasses rested on the bridge of his nose just as the oranges of the sunset began to paint his face. You pushed the shutter closed and the camera clicked, taking the photo.
“Yes, Seokmin. I got some great shots today,” you grinned, putting the camera in your bag now that you had captured your favorite human.
“Including the one you took just now?” He said, teasing you and shooting you a devastatingly adorable smile.
“That one might be the best one of the day,” you teased back, although it was a true statement in your mind. You pushed your camera bag into the seat further, making sure it was secure before closing the door and making your way to the passenger side. Seokmin leaned over and opened the door for you to get in. You settled in your seat, putting your seatbelt on before he pulled out of the lot heading for home. You looked over at your boyfriend, marveling at how lucky you were to have someone like him.
A few hours later, you were finishing up dinner when you had an idea to keep the inspiration that you had during the day going. “Hey, Seok?” you started.
“Hmm?” he responded, gathering your empty plate from the table to take them into the kitchen.
“So there’s one type of photography I haven’t done yet and I think I’d like to try it today…” you said a bit nervously.
“Okay, well what is it? Let’s do it,” Seokmin responded enthusiastically before knowing what it was.
“Um, nude photography,” you squeaked, looking down at your hands.
You heard him let out a light laugh before saying, “Anything for you, baby”. You knew that was true, he’d do anything you asked of him.
“Okay, well let me grab one of my cameras and I’ll meet you upstairs?” you said and he nodded after placing the dishes in the sink to wash later.
He went up to the bedroom while you went into the other room that housed all your cameras, and you grabbed your favorite one, the one you knew would capture all his gorgeous angles that made you weak in the knees. You took a deep breath as you made your way up the stairs. You didn’t know why you were so nervous, it’s not like you and Seokmin hadn’t seen each other naked before. But for some reason, the bond between photographer and nude model held a different type of intimacy.
You walked into the bedroom to find Seokmin lying on the bed, peering up at you while his arms propped his head up on the pillows. You fought to keep back a gasp as you eyed the bareness of his back, thighs, and ass. The sunlight that had shone earlier had now changed to moonlight that spilled into the room, creating shadows against the lines of his shoulder blades. Just when you thought he couldn’t get more beautiful, you were proved wrong.
His eyes lit up as you looked at him through your camera, and just as he gave a wide toothy smile, you pushed the shutter down to capture the moment. “Like what you see?” he asked cheekily, albeit a little out of character. You giggled, knowing he likely was nervous too and was acting like that to dissipate the unease.
“I very much like what I see, my muse,” you said back, still laughing. You snapped a few more photos, capturing the planes in his face and the curves of his naked frame. You knew you would edit these photos to be black and white, to better accentuate the shadowing and finer details of his body. You sat next to him on the bed as he moved to pose so you could get a closer shot. His skin looked so smooth that you couldn’t help but reach forward and brush your fingertips along the top of his shoulders.
You went to pull your hand away, but he stopped it with his own. “Couldn’t resist could you?” Seokmin joked.
“No, I couldn’t,” you said, rather bluntly. He wasn’t exactly expecting that answer and tugged you towards him, capturing your lips with his. As you kissed, he slowly took the camera from your other hand and set it down on the end table near the bed. Your now empty hand moved to rake your fingers through the hair at the nape of his neck.
You continued kissing and found yourself further up on the bed, hovering over Seokmin. His hands had moved to the small of your back, pulling your clothed body flush against his naked one. He let out a whimper when your clothed core rubbed against the erection he was now sporting.
“I think we are a little uneven here, love,” he spoke, breaking your makeout session.
You smiled and leaned your forehead against his. “Should I even it out then?” you said, wasting no time and taking off your shirt. It was followed by your pants and undergarments, leaving you bare like Seokmin had been for the past twenty minutes.
“You’re so lovely,” Seokmin breathed out, leaving a peck on the top of your shoulder. You grinned at the notion of the subject complimenting the photographer. His hands found your hips, pulling you back against him. His skin against yours was silky and you couldn’t help but buck your hips against him.
He let out a sharp breath when his tip hit the edges of your folds and knew he couldn’t wait to be inside you. He rubbed his length against you, dragging it lightly as you gave a slight moan. He could feel how wet you were for him already. You reached your hand down to rub small circles on your sensitive nub, desperate for the sensation.
As if he read your mind, Seokmin reached over into the drawer of the end table and pulled out the familiar foil package. A minute later, he was pulling the latex over his cock and you had taken your spot back on top of him. You rolled your hips against his thigh, working yourself up even more to be able to take him soon.
“Please, baby,” He growled as you grinded against his toned thigh, hearing you let out whines. “I need to be in you,” He continued, taking more control now and moving you so your core was lined up for him.
You nodded, confirming that you were ready for him. He pulled you forward, sinking you onto him. He hissed, feeling how molten your walls had become for him. He slowly began pumping and you started a rhythm with your hips meeting his, going faster with each pump.
Moans and whines echoed around the room as you chased your highs together. Hands found purchase wherever they could, his on your ass cheeks pulling you as close as possible and yours digging into his shoulders for leverage. The coil in the pit of your stomach stretched more and more until Seokmin whispered in your ear. “I’m close.”
His warm breath against the shell of your ear and the knowledge that he was going to come undone just for you almost made the coil snap. One more particularly deep thrust later, he came with a groan. The feeling of him twitching within you brought your orgasm along with his.
You collapsed on top of him as he slowly pulled out of you, chests heaving as you caught your breath. Your vision that had gotten a little fuzzy at the peak of your high was returning, rewarding you with a glimpse of Seokmin’s gentle smile. He pressed a kiss to your temple and brushed a strand of hair behind your ear before he rid himself of the condom, tossing it in the trash can.
You moved to lay down next to him, pressing yourself into his side. He turned over to face you, pulling the covers over you as he moved. His arms engulfed you, bringing you closer to his chest and he rested his chin against your cheek. As you snuggled underneath the covers with Seokmin, you knew there was no one else in the world you would want to see in your viewfinder.

Genre: hurt/comfort, fluff, established relationship
Word count: 5026
Summary: In which you’re having one of those days when it’s a struggle to be kind to yourself, and Seokmin makes sure you feel appreciated and loved.
☁︎ ☁︎ ☁︎ ☁︎ ☁︎
Seokmin has a gnawing feeling in his gut that tells him you’re not feeling your best today.
It’s evident in the text messages you leave him throughout the day, in your unusual choice of words. Just a small difference, but a difference all the same, and he knows you too well to miss the signs.
Perhaps it also has something to do with your tendency to hide behind a smile even as you’re buried deep in your struggles. You don’t like the idea of people around you noticing. Seokmin would know; as terrible a habit as it is, it’s one that he and you both share.
Suffice it to say, it isn’t long before he begins losing his concentration at work. Completing the simplest of tasks eventually becomes a challenge, but he can hardly expect anything else when you’re constantly on his mind.
The moment his seven-hour shift is over, he wastes no time packing up his things and clocking out of work. The original—and usual—plan has been to head straight home, but those texts of yours made him change his mind. He decides to make a detour instead, making sure to snag a couple of your favorite desserts along the way.
It begins to drizzle shortly afterwards, the skies painted in shades of midnight blue that signal an impending downpour. Not the most ideal situation, but he doesn’t mind the rain beating down on him as he runs down the streets. Doesn’t see the negative because all that matters to him is that he is coming home to you.
Please, he says in a hopeful whisper, please hang on until I get there.
And by the time he reaches the door to your shared apartment, his clothes have been completely soaked through, and he fights to catch his breath. His keys are somewhere in the depths of his sling bag, but retrieving them with both hands occupied would be a hassle, which is why he resorts to pressing the bell with one side of his knuckle. It doesn’t take long before he hears shuffling on the other side and the door cracks open.
The sight that greets him breaks his heart into slivers.
You’re standing there beyond the threshold, your eyes puffy, the dark circles beneath them more pronounced than ever. Faint blotches of red have spread across your cheeks and nose, as if you’ve spent an ample amount of time rubbing them raw. You’re faring worse than he imagined, yet despite everything, you still manage to smile.
Though said smile falls the moment you take in his drenched state.
“Oh, Seok,” you say, concern etched on your features as you quickly pull him inside and shut the door.
He settles down the desserts on the small side table (thank the heavens they were wrapped in plastic, otherwise they would not have survived the terrible weather). Peeling off his wet jacket, he places it atop a drying rack nearby and watches as you dash towards the bathroom with a frown on your face.
“Did you forget to bring an umbrella?” You call out to him, reappearing mere seconds later with a clean towel in one hand. He can’t help but smile at the gesture, so endearing it warms him despite the cold seeping through his skin.
“Well, um, I was in a hurry this morning, and it completely slipped my mind,” he explains as you take his hand, leading him towards the kitchen. When you tell him to sit on one of the shorter stools there, he simply obliges. Standing there in front of him, your face level with his own, you begin drying his face and neck with the towel.
It’s not that he actually needs your help—he can pat himself dry perfectly well—but he accepts it anyway, sees it as an opportunity to truly look at you.
This should feel comforting. This nearness with you, this form of intimacy he would never want to share with anyone else. And in other cases, he’s certain it would. But never in the two years of your relationship has he had this much trouble gazing at you. Especially like this, up close with your bloodshot eyes and swollen cheeks. It hurts him to acknowledge that he wasn’t there for you when you needed him the most.
And still, he doesn’t look away. He knows he has to say something, has to begin the conversation somehow.
“I’m sorry, love,” he tries. “I didn’t mean to make you worry.”
With a shake your head, you say, “I know, and you don’t need to apologize for that. But please, promise me you’ll remember to take your umbrella with you next time?” You move on to his wet hair, gently dabbing it dry. “I just don’t want you to get sick, is all.”
He gives you a small smile. You’ve always been so caring of others; it’s one of the many things he adores about you. “I will. Promise.”
“Good.” There it is, a small upward tug of your lips. It’s a start.
“I actually swung by the bakery earlier,” he says, nodding to the table near the door where the desserts lie waiting. “Bought some of those glazed donuts you love.”
You follow his gaze. “Did you?”
“Yeah, and I also brought home some boba.”
Your mouth opens slightly in delighted surprise, your eyes crinkling. “You have to stop spoiling me, Seok! I don’t think I can keep up.”
“Not planning on that any time soon. You’re just going to have to put up with it.”
A soft laugh escapes you. “I guess so.” You push the towel aside when you’re done, running your fingers through his unkempt hair in an attempt to tidy it. “There. Better?”
He leans towards you to kiss you on the lips. “Better. Thank you, love.”
“Don’t mention it.” You cup his face in your hands, and he leans against your touch.
He steals yet another brief kiss from you. “You okay? I haven’t asked you how your day was.”
He feels you tense slightly, though your expression remains neutral. “It was good. Spent the whole day at home today, got to relax a lot. You know how much I like staying in.” You chuckle with a strain that hasn’t escaped his notice. “How was yours?”
“Well, work was more hectic than usual, but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle. I’m just glad to be back home.”
“So am I, Seok. I missed you.”
“I missed you too, love,” he murmurs. I’m with you now, he wants to add. You can talk to me.
But you say nothing, closing your eyes and leaning your forehead against his. Seokmin’s thoughts begin to wander as he weighs his options: should he be straightforward and ask you outright, or should he wait until you’re ready to talk? He imagines the latter would be the better solution, but he knows you well enough to know that you always try to bottle your feelings up.
He recalls the first time you broke down in tears in front of him; it was early on in the relationship, and you were in your fourth semester in university. You’d been given an assignment, one you were struggling to finish under the pressure of its nearing deadline. Naturally, it made you compare yourself to others who you thought were miles ahead of you.
He remembers having a hard time stringing together the words to console you, because seeing you in such pain wounded him in ways he could never describe.
“You can tell me,” he could only manage back then, his arms wrapped around you as if that alone could shield you from all the pain in the world. He’d take it in your stead if he could. “Whatever it is that’s upsetting you, you can tell me. I promise I won’t laugh. I promise I won’t tell anyone, if that’s what you’re worried about.”
“It’s not that I don’t trust you, that’s not it, not at all,” you’d replied in between sniffles. “It’s just me overthinking again. I know it’s stupid.”
“Don’t do that. Don’t dismiss how you feel.” He kept repeating these words. But it seemed like nothing he was saying truly left its mark on you.
“You-you’ve also had enough on your plate already, and I wouldn’t want to add to that—”
“It doesn’t matter, love. Even if I do have enough on my plate, I still wouldn’t mind. I’d still want you to come to me.”
Your body shook as you tried and failed to contain your sobs. “I’m so, so sorry, Seok, I didn’t mean to cry but I couldn’t hold it in anymore. I’m so sorry you have to see me like this. I... I didn’t mean to ruin the night. I didn’t to be an inconvenience to you.”
Oh, he thought, his heart breaking in two. He never even once saw you that way. He never, not even for a split second, thought you were an inconvenience.
He couldn’t understand why you felt guilty for feelings you had no way of controlling. He couldn’t understand why you felt ashamed of being human. He could only hug you tighter, could only watch like a fool as you fell apart in his arms.
And then he felt it, simmering beneath the surface—anger.
Anger at whomever it was that had the gall to make you believe you were ever an inconvenience. Anger at himself for having failed you so terribly. He’s your boyfriend, for god’s sake. You were supposed to be able to trust with him. And clearly he’d done an awful job at making you realize that he doesn’t mind you crying in front of him.
He doesn’t mind sharing the emotional burden you’ve always insisted upon carrying all by yourself. None of it matters to him if it means that you’ll feel less alone.
And this time, he won’t repeat the same mistakes again.
He pulls away to look at you, and your eyes snap open at the movement, your hands dropping away from his face.
“You sure everything’s alright?” He asks you again. “You don’t sound well at all.”
“Mhm. My nose has been stuffy since this afternoon, I think. But it’s nothing I can’t handle, nothing a few cups of tea won’t fix.” You take a few steps back from him, decidedly avoiding his gaze. “Why don’t you go get yourself cleaned up and then we eat?”
The warmth in your tone from earlier has chipped away, replaced by a stiffness he’s grown all too familiar with. The kind that always tinges your voice whenever you’re dodging the truth. The kind that tells him you’re building your walls back up.
Alright, then, he thinks to himself. Waiting it is.
“I’m gonna get a bath running for you, okay?” You say with a smile that doesn’t reach your eyes. “Wouldn’t want you to freeze.”
He stands up from the chair so quickly he nearly stumbles. “No, no, that’s alright.” He moves closer to you. “You don’t have to. I’ve got it.”
“No, no. I can do it for you.” You’re still not looking at him in the eye. “You must be tired from all that work.”
His jaw clenches a little. Even as you’re struggling, you try to put everyone else before you. You refuse to let him take care of you.
And finally, after a long silence from his end, he makes himself nod.
“Okay, then. I won’t take long.”
☁︎ ☁︎ ☁︎ ☁︎ ☁︎
God, you think to yourself, rubbing your eyes with the heels of your hands. What a long, shitty day it has been.
You never knew staying at home the whole day could leave you so emotionally drained. It began the moment you realized you’d nearly missed an important online meeting because you’d thought it was scheduled for tomorrow. In your rush to get yourself prepared for said meeting, you managed to spill coffee all over your work papers, the smudged ink rendering the words illegible.
After the meeting, it took you seemingly-endless hours trying to salvage whatever remains of these papers. Because these papers are the same ones you’ve spent months carefully drafting, writing, and revising after every feedback from your boss. The same ones you’ve spent countless of sleepless nights poring over to see if there is anything you’ve missed, to make sure all the details are in line with the facts.
And for someone who thrives with the help of daily to-do lists, this whole thing stresses you out. Your schedule for the week is already very packed as it is, and the idea of not doing a few tasks that you really wanted to get done today, all because of this stupid, stupid mistake of yours that you could have easily avoided...
You feel like screaming. And you certainly feel like an idiot. What makes you think you could pull off juggling a university major with part-time work?
By now Seokmin must have already figured things out, despite your earlier efforts to pass it off as nothing more than symptoms of a cold. But there’s no doubt that he knows. He’s too observant to have missed anything.
And the fact that you’ve spent the last thirty minutes or so sequestering yourself in the bathroom isn’t helping your case. Try as you might, you don’t have it in you to face him like this, not when it’s so obvious that you’re frustrated. More frustrated than you probably have the right to feel.
Then there’s a soft knock on the door. It clicks open and Seokmin’s face slides into view. “Hey, love. May I come in?”
You nod, looking at his reflection in the mirror. “Yeah, of course.” You pretend to pat your hands dry. “Is something wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong,” he says, shutting the door behind him. He moves closer until he stands right behind you, his hands finding your waist, his chin resting on the crook of your neck. “Just that you’re taking so long in here and I’m starting to miss you.”
A laugh weaves its way out of you—the first genuine one of the day. You’re not surprised; if there’s anyone you know who can lift your sunken spirits in a matter of seconds, it has to be him.
“I miss you too, Seok.” You turn around to properly look at him, putting your arms around his body, his warmth enveloping you as he reciprocates the gesture. “You know, I was actually thinking...”
“Yeah?”
“What about a movie after this? I wanna get all cozy with you and watch something while we eat the snacks you bought earlier.”
His smile is soft as he regards you. “Sounds like a plan. Got anything specific in mind?”
“Not really, no. But I think I want something light-hearted. Like a rom-com? Would that be okay with you?”
“I’m okay with anything you want.” He plants a kiss on your cheek. “Just pick a movie, and I’ll get it up and running in no time.”
“Okay.”
As a comfortable sort of silence takes over, you allow yourself to think you got away with it, to hope that Seokmin would sweep it under the rug this time. But then his smile falls, a graver expression now taking its place, and that hope gutters out as easily as an unsteady flame. You stiffen, already knowing where this is going even before he speaks.
“But first, I need you to tell me what’s wrong.”
Of course. You knew he would catch on, but that knowledge doesn’t make this confrontation any easier.
You try to keep your voice from wavering, forcing down the lump on your throat. “What do you mean? There’s nothing wrong.”
“You know perfectly well what I’m talking about.” His fingers brush the darkened skin under your eyes, run down the side of your blotched cheek, as if to say, I can see right through you. The gesture feels so intimate that you have to look away, only to regret it immediately. It gives you away, leaves you with no choice except to start confessing.
“You knew?” The words escape you in an embarrassed whisper. What a stupid question to ask. Of course he knew. He probably found out the moment he stepped into the apartment, the lingering signs of your frustration clear as day.
“Yeah. When you sent me those texts earlier this morning, I knew something was wrong.”
Oh. And here you thought you were being subtle enough.
Seokmin hesitates for a moment, as if sorting out his thoughts. “I was... I was going to wait until you’re ready to talk,” he says by way of explanation, his brow lined with worry. “But I can’t stand not doing anything when you’ve locked yourself in here for the past half hour. I can’t stand the idea of sitting still when you’re just one door away and it’s clear that you’re not alright.”
You squeeze your eyes shut like you’d just seen a sight that stung.
“You can tell me,” he continues. “You don’t have to keep it from me.”
“I know that, Seok. I just...” you trail off, finding that it keeps getting harder and harder to hold back the emotions threatening to drown you. It takes you some time to muster the courage to look him in the eye again. “It’s not that big of a deal.”
“It’s a big deal to me if it upsets you like this. Whatever it is, you can tell me.”
But that’s the thing, isn’t it? What is there to even talk about? Nothing really happened; you spent the whole day just contending with that cruel voice in your head that always tells you you’re not enough. That you’ll never be enough, especially because you manage to mess up even the simplest, most trivial of things. Especially because you let said things ruin your whole day.
It’s embarrassing.
At your silence, Seokmin shifts closer to you. “Talk to me, love. I’m here for you. I won’t judge you, I promise.” His voice is so gentle that for a moment, you’re tempted to just give in and tell him everything.
This isn’t about the lack of trust; it has never been, and even Seokmin himself knows that. And neither is this about worrying what his response would be. If there is anything your past experiences with him can tell you, it’s that he deals with your breakdowns in a loving, gentle way. Every single time.
He’s aware of your mind’s tendency to shove one worst-case scenario upon another until you’ve run out of space and energy to think about anything rational. Admittedly, it’s not the healthiest habit, and you’ve been trying to unlearn it, but sometimes there are days when you simply can’t cope and begin to spiral.
Despite everything, Seokmin always understands. You know he would understand now, but it’s precisely the reason why this is the last thing you would want to talk about. He’s the kind of person who feels deeply, who doesn’t need to try too hard to put himself in other people’s shoes. That act of sympathizing can be so draining, and you’re not willing to subject him to that. His work is exhausting as it is without you having to pile your struggles atop of his own.
All you can offer him now is a tight-lipped smile. “I wasn’t lying when I said it’s not a big deal.”
He shakes his head. “It’s clear to me that it is. And even if it’s not, I’ll still want to hear it all the same.”
The small, knowing tug of his lips tells you he can see what’s running through your mind. You find yourself having to bite back a dry laugh. Ridiculous, really, how you bother trying to hide things from him when he knows you as well as the back of his own hand.
“Even if it’s something I’ve told you many, many times before?” You ask, still giving him the option to move past this.
“Even so. Whatever it is, we’ll get through it together. We’ll figure it out, the way we always do.”
His kindness leaves a gaping hole in your aching heart. This, you think to yourself, this isn’t something you deserve. You’ve simply been fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him that one fateful night in a certain cafe, that night that changed the trajectory of everything else that came along afterwards.
A tear slips down your cheek. Then another. Disappointed in yourself, you forcefully rub your eyes, only to have him reach out to stop what you’re doing.
He winces a little, as though he were the one on the receiving end of your roughness. “Careful, you’ll hurt yourself like that.” His thumb brushes against your cheek. “Here, let me do it for you.”
And it is at this moment that you finally break, the walls you’ve built to keep your emotions at bay crumbling under his touch as he slowly wipes away your tears. He treats you with the utmost care as you cry on his shoulder, listens to you as you try to recount to him all that has happened today. His attention stays undivided the whole time, even as you stutter or can’t seem to find the words to express how you feel.
“I know it’s the same problem every time,” you sob. You hate the way your voice breaks all over. “I know it may seem like... like I’m not changing at all, but I truly am trying my best, Seok.”
His free hand draws soothing lines down your back. “I know that, love. I have never once doubted you. And I can understand how hard it is to overcome this. But you can. You’ve gotten so much better than you give yourself credit for.”
That reminder that you don’t deserve him flits through your mind yet again, scolding you for not feeling ashamed. But the look on his face shows not even the slightest hint of ridicule or disappointment. Seokmin simply holds you in his arms and whispers in your ear over and over that everything will be alright. You want so badly to believe him.
Sniffing, you pull slightly away to meet his gaze. You don’t care for the redness in your eyes or the tear stains on your cheeks. It’s important that he hears this from you and sees the sincerity behind it. “You’re being so good to me, Seok. Too good to me. You always... you’re always doing so much more than I ever deserve—”
“Don’t say that—”
“And I can only hope that you’re alright with being stuck with me. I know I can be a lot to handle, and I can’t imagine I’m easy to love.”
At that, he stops talking, stares at you as though he has a hard time believing what he’s heard. As though waiting for you to take back your words.
And when you don’t, he asks, his voice low and serious, “Why do you think that way?”
Because you can’t think otherwise. Would he not grow tired of your problems? Would he not grow tired of you? Who wouldn’t when it’s the same shit over and over again?
He takes your silence as a sign to go on. “Do you really think that that’s how I feel about you? That you’re difficult to love because you go through problems sometimes? Because you have feelings like real people do, like I do?”
Pain flashes across his features, along with something else. It takes you a while to recognize it as anger, though you know that anger isn’t directed at you; rather, it’s on your behalf. “I’m so, so sorry that you were made to feel like you have no right to be sad or upset when things are difficult. But I’m here to remind you that whatever it is you feel, it’s valid.”
You say nothing in return, feeling the weight of his words as they sink in.
“I’ve seen the way you treat others,” he continues. “I’ve seen how deeply you appreciate and care for them. You don’t think twice when it comes to helping people, even the ones you barely know. But I’ve never seen even just a shred of that same kindness when it comes to yourself. You constantly beat yourself up for simply being human, and you have no idea how much that breaks my heart.
“And it makes me wish you’d see yourself the way I see you, because maybe then you’d come to learn all the wonderful qualities you have that you always seem to look past.” He lifts your hand to his lips, leaving a trail of kisses along your knuckles. “You’re a student working a part-time job; don’t you realize how impressive that is? Not to mention the fact that you’re getting better and better at not overthinking when it used to be tough for you. All this progress has never escaped my notice or anyone else’s, just your own.”
You’ve calmed down by now, your crying reduced to small sniffles. It’s still hard to keep your eyes open, and it’s even harder to come up with a response. But you’re content with simply hearing what he has to say, and your heart is full of tenderness and warmth. He’s never once failed to make you feel so loved.
“And as for what you said earlier about me being stuck with you”—he pecks your lips softly—“I hope you know that I’m not going anywhere. I’m never going to love you any less because of your struggles.”
His declaration hits a little too close to home, rubbing at a lifelong wound that has yet to heal. After all, the reason why you hadn’t wanted to get into a relationship before Seokmin came into the picture was fear. Fear that once your partner discovers just how ugly and messy things can get for you, how much emotional baggage you carry, they will leave.
A part of you has always known that confiding in Seokmin would make it hurt less. But a greater, selfish part of you is afraid that he’d grow tired of putting up with you and your constant problems. Maybe you’d never dare to admit it out loud, but the truth is that you would rather struggle alone in silence than lose him altogether due to your honesty.
But Seokmin sees through all that. And instead of leaving, he stands by your side and holds your hand through it. He holds your broken pieces as you try to stitch them back together.
And all the things he’s said about you... you know he truly means every one of them. He’s genuine in everything he says and does. But you can’t wrap your head around the idea of someone great like him can see you that way. It’s a surreal thought, one you never dared to entertain before now.
But maybe he’s right. Maybe you’ve been too hard on yourself. You’re certain that if it were anyone else going through the same, exact motions as you are now, you wouldn’t tell them the hurtful things you hurl at yourself at any given chance. And you’ve always known that progress is never linear, and falling down once or even a dozen times doesn’t eliminate all the previous steps you’ve taken. It doesn’t diminish all that you’ve accomplished, all that you’ve done to be better.
Whatever it was that Seokmin saw in you that one night from two years ago, when he asked you to be his, it doesn’t matter. For the millionth time, you’re so glad you took the leap and trusted that he would catch you.
All these new thoughts running through your head, all these feelings of fondness and love for him coursing through you, yet you can only manage to ask him this: “How do you do that?”
“Do what?”
“Know all the right things to say every time.”
He lets out a small laugh, relieved that you’re no longer as upset as you’ve been before. “Because I’m only saying the truth. Loving you is a commitment, a decision I make every single day. And that decision comes easily, willingly, because you’re so, so easy to love.”
You feel like crying all over again, but for the right reasons this time. God, you really are the luckiest person in the world. “So are you, Seok. I hope you know that, too,” you say as you pull him into a hug.
“Feeling any better?” You may not be able to see him, but you just know that he’s grinning.
“Yeah.” You nestle up against him. You don’t ever want to let go. “Thank you for always hearing me out. For not only accepting me as I am, but also encouraging me to be the best version I can be.”
“I can say the same thing to you, too.” He kisses your brow. “Thank you, love. For all the times you’ve held my hand and kept me grounded and going when it’s so easy to give up. You’ve been there for me in ways I can never explain, and I’m so, so grateful.”
It truly is the least you can do for him. You snuggle your head into his shoulder with a contented sigh. “Thank you for always giving the best hugs.”
He laughs heartily at that. “You can have all the hugs you want, I promise. But I need you to promise me one thing in return. Promise you’ll never hesitate to let me know whenever you’re not feeling okay. I’m here for you, and I don’t want you to go through things alone. I want you to let me take care of you.”
You glance up, your eyes meeting his. “I promise, as long as you do the same and let me take care of you, too.” And when he nods, you add, “I love you.”
He’s beaming so widely that you can’t help but do the same. “I love you, too.”
It’s been true all along: home is not a place but a person, after all.

crush 03 | jww & oc/reader
Tumblr media
title: crush 03 / part of the attacca series pairing: jeon wonwoo x reader/oc (ft. seokmin) rating: 16+ (mentions of sex, but no act of sex) genre: angst, fluff, eventual smut, racecar driver!au, mechanic!au wc: 7.4k summary: all he knows are fast rides, drag-strips, and speed ovals until he meets you, someone that’s got his heart racing instead of his car. warnings: explicit language, smoking, suggestive content (but nothing follows through), mentions of sex a/n: sorry i actually finished this weeks ago but forgot to post it.. embarrassinng frfr
This place looks… a bit shady.
The address Wonwoo sends you doesn’t show a brief description on Google Maps as it normally does, and it’s missing a preview picture of what the location is supposed to look like. When you pull up into the driveway, the asphalt fades into a dusted dirt road with cars of all ages, models, and manufacturers that line up against the fencing before you notice a building with an open garage on the opposite side.
That’s where you spot Wonwoo, crouched over in a white tank and torn up black jeans with a soiled rag over his shoulder. The driver’s window of an old Chevy is down, and Wonwoo has his forearms resting against the panel, casually conversing to the operator of the vehicle. He’s… got nice arms. But that’s besides the point.
He taps against the door. “Tell me when you need me to take another look at the ventilator. Should be workin’ this time around, but if not, Imma have to advise you to get ‘nother car.”
At first, you didn’t get to make out the facial features of who was inside. The reflection of the beaming sunlight hitting the front windshield made it arduous to identify the driver, but when she peeks her head out just barely, you could pinpoint the owner of those pearly white teeth anywhere. It’s the cute flag girl that Seokmin took home that one day.
“Why? When I could just keep coming back to you instead?”
But in lieu of reacting decrepitly to those pretty lashes that brush against her cherry tinted cheekbones like Seokmin does, Wonwoo is a major contrast when he slaps the top of the car with a charming smile. “Sweet, but it’s better to see your mechanic less and not more. Head home now, and only call if something happens to your car.”
With a failed sigh and pout, she waves goodbye to Wonwoo who watches as her car takes off.
Although when his eyes lands on you and your shitty ass Toyota, a show stopping grin tugs on the corners of his mouth. Wonwoo gestures for you to come to where the flag girl was earlier, and part of you feels a bit… special from the way he looks at her then at you. He seems happier, excited, even.
Why couldn’t Seokmin look at you in that way?
Hopping out of the car, you puff your cheeks. “When I said I’d let you take me on a date, I didn’t think it would be here at your shop.”
“I know girls like you,” he begins, crossing his arms before leaning against the doorframe of the garage. Raising a brow, you’re not sure where he’s going with that, but you remain silent to let him continue. “You probably get asked out often and have the most boring dates. What’s the last date you've been on?”
That required some thinking. Maybe it was that guy you met on Tinder and took you out for a candlelit steak dinner. Or even that one dude who took you to that art gallery.
You don’t respond though because Wonwoo seemed to have wanted to guess himself.
“Steak? Dim lighting, candles, maybe? Museums? How about even a walk by the river or waterfront, letting the cool breeze hit your face? Bet he tried to get into your pants after, which was why you didn’t call him back.”
That last one got you. You’ve been on that one before too, and had the same scenario happen. “What are you getting at here?”
He leans over to open your door wider, and you step aside. Reaching to pull the tab that pops the hood of your trunk, it only confuses you more on what he’s going to do next. “Well, I wanna be memorable, not some guy you went out with. Imma teach you how to change a flat.”
“I don’t have a flat.”
“Make believe, doll,” he chuckles, slamming your door shut. He walks to the back of your, pushing the trunk up, and his eyes skim the contents of the back. That term of endearment from Wonwoo is a new one, and for some reason, if it came from someone else, you’d be disgusted. But from him? It’s… kind of alluring? “Why you got so much junk in here?”
You flinch, immediately rushing to his side when the memory of what’s in your car comes to mind. “Oh shit, I—”
“Emergency one night stand kit?” He quirks a brow, lifting up a little tote back with the words woven into the canvas fabric. “You don’t look like the type.”
“It was a gift!” you exclaim, heat rushing to your cheeks as you snatch it back from him. “The contents inside don't match what the writing insists the purpose is for, I promise. I don’t do one night stands.”
“I know.” Wonwoo watches you in amusement, adoration swirling in his pools of chocolates he calls eyes. “You're one of those hopeless romantics. It’s taking a lot for you to even come on this date with me.”
You roll your lips in response, avoiding his loving gaze as you shuffle the stuff to make way for the lid of the compartment at the bottom of trunk. “How would you know that?”
“Because I see the way you look at Dokyeom, and it’s kind of the way that I look at you.” You choke on your saliva. Were you really that open of a book? Surely, it was true, but you didn’t think you were that obvious.
Dokyeom. It’s weird how Seokmin is your supposed best friend and yet there was so much about him you didn’t know. There was something underlying that he was hiding, and you want to dig deeper. Who was Dokyeom as this version of himself that he never once shared before?
You clear your throat, warmth rushing to your cheeks. Wonwoo is rather bold. “Um, so… are you gonna teach me how to change my tire or what?”
Wonwoo knows he caught you in that moment, but he doesn’t pry for more. “Aight, well roll up your sleeves and let’s get our hands dirty, love.”
He shows you the compartment to find the spare and tools, the latch that you’ve always looked over is the one he pulls to expose another layer of your car. Was that what it was for? You sort of just threw your shit on top of it and hoped for the best.
“Here, you’ll find your spare tire. I highly recommend that you don’t just ride it forever just cause you got it on. It’s a spare, it’s temporary. Don’t ever use it for long, it’s not meant for it.”
There’s a long, metal tool he brings out that resembles a cross. “This is a wrench,” then he grabs an unfamiliar mechanism in the shape of a diamond with a flat top, “the jack,” and finally, he points to the tire that peeks out just barely. “Lastly, the tire. Kinda heavy, but I can help you—”
“I got it,” you state daringly, shoving him to the side.
He chuckles at your boldness with that look of veneration on his face like you’re the prettiest girl he’s ever seen. “Okay, well, grab that—” Wonwoo gestures at the tire, watching carefully to make sure you don’t hurt yourself, “and just… lay it on the ground. And we’re gonna put the jack under the car.”
Oddly enough, Seokmin never really wanted to teach you how to change a tire. You’ve mentioned it to him once before—you found yourself on the side of the road on a highway, phone up to your ear as you frantically called your best friend to be your knight in shining armor.
And when he arrived twenty minutes after your cry for help, he slammed the car door behind him with that smug look on his face as he said, “You rang?”
But that was when he was more reliable.
These days, your calls are missed and you rarely see him as often as you used to. He’s so caught up in his new life, his career, and all the girls that you’ve only become a sliver of importance to him.
Somehow, you end up with a smear mark on your cheek from moving all the equipment around. Wonwoo thinks you’re cute like this; admittingly, you were just a girl he found attractive with an amusing attitude. But that night. That night the two of you exchanged numbers—it was the first time he ever met someone that tugged on his heartstrings in this way. How’d he get looped into talking to a girl over text for hours?
“Like this?” You query, looking up at him from below. The tire lock is fastened onto the lug nut of your rims with a socket wrench in your hand. “So, I just…”
“Yeah,” Wonwoo leans over, hand on yours as he shoves the head of the tire iron to fasten against the lock. “Then you just…” he drifts off, and instead of pushing you aside to do it himself as Seokmin would’ve, he guides you with his movements. Thrusting his weight and yours against the wrench, he turns it multiple times before the first one releases and drops onto the floor with a clank. “The first one is always hard because it’s anti-theft, but the other ones are a bit easier. If you can’t get it out, just… put your hands on the hood of the car and jump on it. Wanna finish it off?”
Clang. Clang. Clang. Clang.
Getting the lug nuts off was easier than you thought (were they on tight enough to begin with?) The tire tilts over to you, and you’re quick to catch it and set it aside. Wonwoo rolls the spare in your direction, watching as you puff your cheeks with a layer of sweat on your skin. You don’t seem bothered, despite the droplets that stream down the side of your neck, and he sort of expected you to confront him about this being a first date. Who takes a girl to learn how to change a flat for a first date?
Not many guys, that’s for sure.
With Wonwoo, he doesn’t act like a savior. When you’re struggling with pulling the tire off, he doesn’t come in and take over—he asks if you’d want his help, and when you’d reply with ‘no,’ he stays put.
“Okay, next, you should put the spare where you took off the flat. Then secure it with the nuts, and put the car down with the jack. You should be good to go after you use the wrench to tighten it some more.”
“Hold this for me,” you drop the wrench in his palms and he’s fast in abiding. Aligning the spare tire to the bolts, you mount them by tightening the lug nuts into their initial spots by hand. Finally, stepping back, you lower the vehicle with the jack as he advises, snatching the tool back as he snickers at how focused you’ve become.
You use all your strength—practically the entirety of your weight impeling into the wrench to secure the bolts in place. With a puff of exhausted air, you shove it back into Wonwoo’s hold. “Okay, done. Check it.”
He eyes you impishly, making his way to the spare that you proudly installed yourself, casually popping the head of the wrench to fit the lugs without much difficulty. Wonwoo does it with ease; everything happens so fluidly, from the way he checks the tightening of the lugs to the kick of the tire to see if it would slip out in any way. Your breath gets caught in your throat, a bit anxious of the results, but when he turns to you with a soft smile, your chest releases the tension.
“Wow, impressive for the first try. You sure you’ve never changed a flat before?”
“Promise,” you cheekily grin back. He’s sort of… cute. He reminds you of those flakey croissant pastries, expectant on the outside that the dish you pair with a cup of coffee would be just buttery. But taking in a bite, the strawberry jam spews from the insides, the fruit preserves leaving a candied taste on the tip of your tongue.
This was just part of the date, you soon learn, because after Wonwoo helps you wash your hands in the sink in his garage, he leads you behind the building where a field of green lies.
His auto shop was located on the borderlines of the city and the suburbs—just a couple blocks over, if you took a step to the left, you would’ve been on the outskirts of the city lines but one move to the right, you’ll find yourself in the heart of the crowd of skyscrapers. Farther back of the property, the dusty road fades into a green field (well, sorta. It’s got patches, definitely needs some TLC, but you digress), and although it’s not the prettiest with scattered pieces of car junk across the lawn, his setup that he has displayed makes it… cute. He’s got this red and white checkered blanket that lays on the grass, boxes of screws on either corners and a hammer thrown at the other.
You glance over at Wonwoo.
He’s quick to shove it off the blanket, dropping the wicker basket where the hammer once was.
“Were you premeditating a murder?”
“If the night doesn’t go well, maybe,” he jokes. “I’m kidding, I had a feeling it was gonna get windy and I didn’t want the two of us spending half the day trying to get the thing to stay still. I did it myself before you came.”
He’s kinda cute.
“I couldn’t dress as nicely, I realized I don’t think I own any pairs of pants without a grease stain on it,” Wonwoo admits apologetically, plopping down on the blanket in his raw hemmed black jeans and the short sleeve button up that he doesn’t bother actually buttoning up. Part of you is tempted to ask him if he bought those jeans like that or if he cut it himself (you think it’s the latter).
Seokmin always had a thing about his appearance. The cleaner and slicker you seem, the more name brands that decorate your clothing, and the type of vehicle you drive says a lot about you.
But to Wonwoo, it’s clear that those things don’t matter.
He’s not rich in terms of the money stashed in his pockets or the digits in his bank account, but his wealth resides within his personality and knowledge. As you slice off a piece of cheese to pair with your cracker and prosciutto off a charcuterie board he attempted to make (you give him props for this as he humbly mentions he gives all the credit to those moms on forum websites posting their recipes), you learn more as to why Wonwoo never went to college—both willingly and unwillingly. And yet, he harbors so much wisdom in terms of cars and racing, earning all your respect that he chose a non-traditional route and remains successful.
You recall that night over the phone how he wished he could go to college, but he doesn’t have the means to. Wonwoo dropped out of high school during his senior year, just months before graduating, and although he didn’t fully explain why, the admiration in your gaze when he mentions he’d gotten his GED several months ago is evident.
Wonwoo isn’t what you’re used to; growing up, it was established that you were to meet a man with a bachelor’s degree, and the bonus is if he obtains a master’s. When your hands are stained, whether it be grease from the stove, oil from a car, flour from dough, or paint off a canvas, it’s recognized as a labor intensive job and the more physical work you do, the less intelligent you are.
This was not the case.
Admittingly, he doesn’t know anything about kinematics or conservation of energy, but he knows what to do when your carburetor is failing or if your water pump leaks. Analyzing the works of Shakespeare or reading a novel without dozing off wasn’t quite his forte, but he’s better in other fields and there’s so much admiration for that. “I like jobs that give back to society,” he said that night, and it gifts you the perspective that there is more to the world beyond being employed at a corporate company. Wonwoo sets a different standard for you, but even on a sweet date like this where he’s pouring a glass of moscato for you as you watch the sun setting in the horizon… you can’t help but let your thoughts flood with Seokmin once again.
When Wonwoo’s eyes curl into moon crescents with a laugh so buttery and deep, you discern a lot more clearly how much Seokmin has a hold on you. A great guy sits before you and you can’t get your head unwrapped from Lee Seokmin.
“When’d you get into racing?” You ask, deciding that maybe if you get to know him better, you’d stop thinking about the guy who’d rather be at a rooftop bar downtown with a girl he just met fifteen minutes ago. “I’ve never seen you at any of the tournaments.”
“Mmm,” he hums, brushing his hands off each other from the crumbs. “About a month before that cup. One of the sponsors of the stadium saw me racin’ on the streets a couple months ago. Once he found my name, he got me a competitor’s license and forced me on the track. Said somethin’ like he’d help me pay for everything, including two months of mortgage on my shop.” Wonwoo shrugs, reaching over to grab another cracker from the bag. “Two months is a lot. Plus, if he’s paying for everything else and all I needed was a crew, not a big deal. It’s really just a money game.”
You purse your lips. “Any reason for him to want you to race?”
“It’s probably gettin’ boring watching Dokyeom win all the time.”
Oh. You never really thought of it like that. “But he won the circuit,” you clarify. “I don’t get it.”
He grabs a handful of the crackers and lays it across the wooden board for you, adjusting himself on the picnic blanket as he tilts his head to the side. “Yea, but I also came in second with milliseconds on the clock. Not to mention that this is the first of the series–I think they just want somethin’ new to the competition ‘cause there hasn’t been any fresh meat lately. Or, if there are any, they ‘un really last.”
You quirk a brow. “You’re not fresh meat–you raced on the streets.”
Wonwoo winks playfully. “You know that, but they don’t.”
There’s a lot to unpack–the recruiting of Wonwoo into an industry that he didn’t really see himself in, only to be lured to race with a bribe because it was getting boring to watch Seokmin win so frequently? You have a never ending list of questions, ones that Wonwoo couldn’t necessarily answer, but one you were suspicious enough to keep digging. But when Wonwoo lifts the honey dipper made of turned wood to collect the honey from the jar and onto your chunk of cheese, he says one last thing that erases all your curiosity.
“Dokyeom almost got a monopoly on stock car racing. No new consistent racers in the past two years entering this category, instead they’re headin’ off to Formula 1 or drag. They’re losing all potential new money ‘cause there’s nobody that can match his potential. Thinkin’ that the guy just wanted me there to get the ball rollin, let people know that it’s not impossible to beat the Lee Seokmin.”
Popping the piece of parmesan into your mouth, you roll your lips. “Well, you didn’t beat him either,” you tease, and he rolls his eyes with a smile tugging on the edges of his lips. He’s got the same sense of humor as you do, and he makes it a little hard not to get enticed by his charms. “So what of it?”
“I didn’t have to beat him, I just had to get close enough,” he grins. “Why? Are you not impressed that I didn’t beat him?”
“I wouldn’t say that.”
“Mm,” he nods slowly while feigning a frown. “Damn. Should’ve told me earlier, maybe I would’ve actually tried beating him then.”
How did this conversation end up looping right back into Seokmin when you asked to distract yourself from him?
“Do… Do you even like racing, Wonwoo?”
“Honestly?” he glances over at you before looking back at the sunset. The hues of warmth that radiate the ordinary star is a pretty sight as it shines on his face, and it’s evident why he’s enamored by many. “No. I like cars, and I love the speed, but I prefer being under the hood than behind the wheel. Knowing how the gears turn and what’s the reason for the black smoke and why your car stutters is more appealing to me than burning rubber on asphalt.”
“Hm,” you hum, remaining silent to bask in the fresh air. You say it often, but Wonwoo is…different. He indulges in the present moments in life; he doesn’t dwell on the past, in fact, he embraces it and learns from it. The type of person that travels with a loose agenda, a couple locations and hot spots in mind to touch, but never abiding by what’s written as if it’s set in stone.
He’s carefree. Flowing like linens hanging dry on the clothesline on a warm, breezy day.
“And what about you?” he asks, those chocolate swirling orbs just full of adoration and interest. Wonwoo looks at you in a way that you could only dream for Seokmin to do the same, but he’s slowly easing you into the idea of it being someone else. “Do you like cars? Racing?”
“Have you seen my car?” you laugh, quirking a brow. “To me, a car is just something that takes you from point A to point B. Otherwise, it means nothing to me.”
“Funny, isn’t it?”
“What is?” Tilting your head to the side, it’s your turn to gaze at him with intrigue.
“You just… see cars differently than I do,” he says with a soft smile. “It’s not bad, but it holds so many meanings for me, left core memories, and for you, you blatantly say that it’s a means of transportation.”
You feel bad for saying it like that but… it is just a car.
“It may seem like just a car,” he begins, and you think for a second that he reads your mind. “But every meaningful moment in my life had a car involved in it.”
Maybe Wonwoo has a point—it’s like how some people just view a croissant as just a flaky pastry you could have with coffee in the mornings or tea in the afternoons. But others, the aroma of freshly baked croissants imbues the kitchen, creating a wave of nostalgia sweeping over them. The residual butter left on their fingertips when they tear into the crisp, crescent shaped pastry is a sign that it’s been made with the utmost love, just as their elder relatives baked it.
“Do you have something like that?” It’s… a good question. Truthfully, you’ve never thought about that before, and maybe it’s from the way you live your life, but you’ve hardly stopped and just immersed yourself within a moment. “I… I don’t think I do. I’ve been so caught up in preparing for what’s next that it’s never crossed my mind.”
“Well,” he begins, taking a bite from a cracker. “Let that be something you figure out before the next time we meet.”
You quirk a brow in amusement. “You’re already thinking about another date?”
“Aren’t you?” He mimics your expression. “I thought you’re always thinking one step again. Unless, you don’t view me in that way and decide that there wouldn’t be a next time?”
Tumblr media
There is definitely a next time.
Actually, there ends up being a lot of “next times.”
In fact, meeting with Wonwoo has become a routine.
There’s excitement that runs through your veins, similar to the adrenaline rush that Seokmin raves on about when he races, except this is simply because of your eagerness to see Wonwoo after work. Once the clock strikes five, your bag is already slung over your shoulder with the door shut behind you.
Some nights, you find yourself drowning in projects with deadlines, stuck in the four walls of your office that feel like they’re closing in. It’s suffocating—spending more than the required eight hours in what feels like an enclosed space, wishing that you could be anywhere else but there.
That is, until you and Wonwoo grew closer.
You never thought of yourself as someone who would find comfort in the sound of tools clanging against each other or on the concrete ground. Wonwoo likes to blast a mixtape he made back in high school—which basically was just a list of songs that you’d know the lyrics to because you used to have it on full volume with your whole emo getup back in your rebellious and angsty teenage years.
When you started to spend more time in his shop, he made a note to build a make-shift desk for you–yes, it was basically a tool cart with a long piece of a wood plank, but with the wheels locked, a swivel chair he used to run reports at his shitty computer (that was also on another tool cart) and a lamp he bought from Walmart (it has a pink base, he thought you’d like that), it felt welcoming. After a long day at the office with work still not done, this change of scenery is nice, especially since Wonwoo makes it crystal clear that he wants your company.
Some days are more uneventful than others, but nonetheless, they’re nice. You liked the calmness–there was something soothing about that roar of the engine when Wonwoo would lean into the open window to turn the key in the ignition for a test run.
Today, though, falls a bit outside of that placid routine.
You drop by, mostly because you’re bored and you don’t want to be alone in your apartment, plus it’s almost guaranteed that Wonwoo would be at the car shop (well, also because his place is literally… connected to it. You opened the wrong door trying to find the bathroom once, only to see this huge backroom that looked like a loft. Wonwoo loves work so much that he lives in it).
As you enter the garage, eyes glued to the screen of your phone, your car keys dangle from your fingers as you’re tapping away. “Do you wanna order dinner? I heard there’s this Chinese place a couple blocks down–they deliver so we can just call–”
“Ehem,” Wonwoo clears his throat, arms crossed over his chest. Attention now on him, that’s when you notice the other four men in the shop, casually sitting on the couch, leaning on a car, and standing beside Wonwoo. “Um, so these are my friends.”
Friends. Wonwoo introduces you to them; Mingyu, Minghao, Seungcheol and Vernon are their names, and from what you recall, they seem to have been the same guys that were on his crew back at the track. They’re all car guys, you learn, knowing Wonwoo from way back and it makes you wonder if they knew Seokmin–or well, Dokyeom–at the time but you don’t probe for more. If Seokmin wants to remain mysterious, then he can stay that way.
“So,” Mingyu, who is definitely over 6-feet tall, begins cheekily, pushing himself off the car. “Are you the reason why Wonwoo won’t come out with us to drink? We’ve been asking him for the past month to come out and he keeps giving us bullshit excuses.”
You blink blankly. Was… Wonwoo turning them down to see you?
“I’m sorry,” you turn to stare at Wonwoo for a brief moment before turning back to Mingyu. “Was… Was he doing that? I didn’t even know.”
“He must like you,” Seungcheol chimes in, snickering as Wonwoo smacks Seungcheol’s chest with the back of his hand. “What! I’m just sayin’. You never reject us. Except for that one time your mom came into town, but other than that, you’re basically always comin’ with us. Did a surprise drop by… lo’ and behold. Jeon here's got a girlie.”
Wonwoo rolls his eyes as he twists around to snatch a carton of cigarettes off the shelf of his supplies. “You came for the cigs, bro. Stop saying shit. You’re gon’ scare her.”
“Ohhhh,” Minghao chimes in teasingly. “So you care about what she thinks of you–thinks of us. That’s cute,” he hops up from the couch before coming over to you. “If Jeon gives you a hard time…” with a wink, he then gestures to the other boys to follow. “Just lemme know. Or any of them. We’ll be back around, so we’ll catch you later. Nice to meet you, cutie.”
When they leave, you’re left alone with Wonwoo once again.
“Am I holding you back?”
Wonwoo stares at you blankly with his arms crossed over his chest, leaning against the red tool cart roller. “Holding me back from what?”
You shrug, putting down your phone onto the make-shift coffee table (it’s just a creeper parked on a cardboard box). “I don’t know. They made it seem that way—I mean, we’re not really dating, so I feel bad if I’m… holding you back from anything. You should see your friends—whether or not we are together.”
“I can make that decision for myself,” Wonwoo shoots back, pushing himself up as he makes his way to the car in the garage. “They’ll see me around, not a big deal. And yeah, I’m down for Chinese. You tryna get me the vegetable lo mein?”
You eye him carefully. The thing with Wonwoo versus Seokmin is that he says it straight up—no hesitation, no crazy maze where you need to probe for clues to reach the end, and he doesn’t expect you to figure him out in a heartbeat. Wonwoo inspects your actions, and if you give it away that you don’t understand, he’s transparent with how he answers.
Wonwoo doesn’t feel like the game of cat and mouse.
“Do you want to share sweet and sour chicken and maybe some wings?”
“Of course. And make sure they have Coca Cola—not Pepsi.”
When you’re both sitting on his secondhand couch of the garage, utilizing one of the ULINE tool cabinets as a more sturdy table, there’s boxes of Chinese food that’s sprinkled all across. His carton of lo mein is now empty, remnants of the grease left on the sides with bits of bean sprouts too small to grab with his chopsticks and the bones of the chicken wings are left on those crappy napkins that you’d find in fast food joints and coffee shops, saturated in the oils and probably leaving marks on the cart. Wonwoo eats fast but he always stays seated until you finish your meal despite being done his.
He used to keep his garage cold, the overhead rolling door made of metal and not including much insulation from the weather outside, but ever since you’ve kept him company more frequently, he’s installed some ceiling mounted unit heater to keep the area warm. The humming of the machine is what breaks the silence between the two of you, but Wonwoo doesn’t fail to bring it up, nonetheless.
“What’s wrong?” He asks, brows furrowed in confusion. “You usually are babbling about your day right about now. Didn’t you and Sunny go shopping yesterday? She didn’t spill any gossip?”
You roll your lips. Are you normally that talkative around him? And if so, are you really that comfortable?
“Um, yeah, we did,” you begin, placing down your carton of rice. “And sorta. Not really. Mostly complained about work.”
He makes a sound by sucking in his teeth before sitting up to rest his elbows on his knees. “Alright, what’s up? Tell me.”
Normally, you’d just… tell the other person to let it go. Even with Seokmin, when he pries, you’re quick on your feet to tell him to ‘not worry about it’ and that ‘this unreasonable feeling will pass eventually.’
But Wonwoo is great at breaking barriers that you never thought you’d do.
Placing down your chopsticks, you let out a sigh along with the drop of your shoulders. “Okay, okay. I just feel bad. We’re not official—and that’s entirely on me, and I really do enjoy spending time with you—whatever this may be—but I also don’t want to be the one to hold you back on things like going out with your friends, meeting other girls, or just… I don’t know. Seeing those guys just made me think of that. I know that you might like me and—”
“Mm, hush.”
You blink blankly.
“Listen,” Wonwoo begins, hands together stiffly in semblance to this situation. “That’s on me too, right? I don’t think you’re leading me on, in fact, I think you’re establishing boundaries—like you are now. I went on a date with you, and it didn’t work. So be it. But—let’s make this clear, we are friends. I’m good with you coming over here whenever you want. And yea, I do like you. You gimme a lot of reasons to, but that don’t mean we can’t be friends. And if it makes you feel any better, I do hang with ‘em, they’re just bein’ dramatic because I spend my weekdays with you the most.”
“Oh,” you reply doltishly. “I didn’t think of it like that.”
“Well, start,” he chuckles, shaking his head. “Look, I know that you and Seokmin have these unspoken feelings and I’d rather you resolve them if you decide to take anything further. I’m cool with just chillin’ as friends, and we’re not doing anything wrong by it. I just may be a lil’ sweeter for you is all, only cause I got a crush. But my feelings aren’t hurt by it.”
This is… different.
Although you constantly say that Seokmin and Wonwoo are opposites (well, duh, they’re not the same person), it’s almost become repetitive and annoying how frequent you come to these “realizations.” Wonwoo has evidently seen a lot in his life, endured a lot, and due to that, he’s… emotionally mature.
As for Seokmin—well, need you say more?
Somehow, the end of the evening isn’t awkward. He makes you laugh with a story about how a client came over, exclaiming on the top of their lungs how the backseat wouldn’t prop itself up, only for Wonwoo to find the seat belt covering the opening that holds it up. Although it was very tempting to smack a $300 invoice to his customer, he chose the better route of just telling them upfront what the issue was.
Although he’s understanding, prioritizing the friendship he’s created with you, he doesn’t make it hard to consider him as more than a friend.
Tumblr media
“Well, you look giddy.”
“Hmm?” You respond dumbly, looking up from your phone full of texts. Wonwoo ended up feeling bad that his friends thought he’d been neglecting them, so he agreed to go to a bar tonight with them and maybe hit a club afterwards–but that doesn’t stop him from constantly messaging you. “Me? Or Sunny?”
P flicks your hand. “You, you idiot.”
“Oh.”
Sunny snorts in amusement, placing another strip of meat onto the grill. It sizzles from the impact of heat and the fat content of the beef, steam filling the air for a brief second before the ventilator sucks it up. “You didn’t tell us about that date with Wonwoo. You dodged all the texts in our group chat.”
You shrug, grabbing the spare tongs to help Sunny add more meat onto the grate. “Um, because it’s kind of weird.”
P raises a brow. “And how is it weird? Was he strange?”
Sunny’s attention is off of cooking now, diverting toward you. “OMG. Did we make you go on a date with a weirdo?”
You glance over at the two. “Wait-what?” Pretending to resume to the grill, you poke a couple of the raw pieces that lay across with another set of tongs. “No, no. He… He’s honestly great. I haven’t felt that connection with someone in a while–he taught me how to install a spare tire–”
P blinks blankly. “He taught you how to change your spare? What kind of date is that?”
And for a moment, a wash of judgment appears across Sunny’s face but it softens when she finally realizes. “... Because you told him that Seokmin promised to come and “save the day,” didn’t you? Then Wonwoo probably thought for a first date idea… teaching you how to change a spare…”
Then it clicks for P; her shoulders loosen and fall when she’s aware of the meaning behind the date. “He… didn’t want you to depend on Seokmin anymore.”
Sunny frowns, flipping over the meat on the grill. “If that’s the reason… Why’s that weird? Sounds sweet. If anything, I kinda give him props for that. Did he at least take you out to dinner?”
You chew on your bottom lip. “Well, he made a whole picnic basket.”
Both Sunny and P glare at you. “And what’s wrong with that?”
“He’s… not Seokmin.”
Gross. It sounds pathetic leaving from your mouth.
The looks that Sunny and P give you are full of pity. How could you be so weak for a guy that doesn’t even respect you enough to hide when he has flings? Someone who claims that they’re yours, but they spent most of their time pursuing anyone but you. It’s a constant recurring thought, and the reminders are always smacking you in the face and yet, you’re here, sitting in front of your two best friends after going on a date with someone who could potentially give you the world and more yet Seokmin still remains on your mind.
“Listen,” P begins, placing down her chopsticks by the side of her plate. Sunny clears off the grill and lowers the fire, mimicking P’s actions with her tongs. “Sunny and I talked about this, and we realized that yes, although we really don’t support this unrequited love between you and Seokmin, it’s still your life and your choices to make. We want you to know that we’re by your side, and behind you through it all, even if you end up with Seokmin, but we’ll say this one last time.”
“We think you should move on, love.”
Your phone lights up beside you, Wonwoo’s name on display with the preview of his text. He asks if you like mint chocolate, a debate that he and his friends have had since God knows when, and it may determine if he wants to keep chasing you. When you unlock the phone, Seokmin’s chat is pinned to the top with your message being the most recent and sent two days ago. He just… disregarded the picture you shared of the two of you in college, his arm over your shoulders with smiles stretched across your faces.
“It’s… It’s hard,” you admit, and this time, it feels like the weight on your chest releases. “I think… I’d already had this idea that he and I would end up together engraved in my brain that I can’t seem to let go.”
“Well, how about this? You at least keep giving Wonwoo a shot if he does make you happy or if you’re even remotely interested. He seems sweet, and he also seems to know where you stand with Seokmin, which makes it easier to not have to explain to him the situation.”
You roll your lips. “I–Okay.”
Just then, your screen lights up again. Speaking of the Devil.
Wonwoo [11:54PM]: You can hold off on that political question for later. Since you’re still awake… my other friends wanna meet you. Wanna come out and grab a bite w us?
Quickly, you show your phone to the girls.
“Fuck yeah, tell them to come here,” P nearly shouts, and you hush her. “Forreal, give Wonwoo the address. We’ll get more chairs–switch tables if we gotta. I’m tryna see him in person.”
Sunny starts touching up on her makeup in her compatible mirror. “Get them to come! It shouldn’t be too far from where they are, right?”
It wasn’t.
In fact, Wonwoo and his friends were a couple blocks down–when you sent him the text of where you and your friends are, he eagerly sent a screenshot of Google Maps to show how close he was.
When they walk into the BBQ joint, it’s very hard to miss them. For one, you spot familiar faces—Mingyu, Minghao, Seungcheol and Vernon from the shop, followed by three other guys you never met personally before, but you remember them from Wonwoo’s pit before the tournament. It makes you wonder—did he just hire all his friends to be his pit crew members? And if he did, that’s… impressive. You don’t think you could name any of Seokmin’s friends that would spend their Saturday rushing to change his tires—not to mention that they probably aren’t even trained to do it.
Then, you spot Wonwoo. He pushes through the group, shuffling to see where you are, and when your eyes meet, his smile doesn’t fail to stretch across from ear to ear.
“Hey,” he says breathily, probably from all the shoving. “It’s… Good to see you. Kinda thought you were avoiding me after the mint chocolate question. It can be a touchy subject for some people.”
You let out a laugh; it’s so genuine and warm when it releases from your chest that it causes both P and Sunny to raise a brow at you before glancing at each other.
You’re different around him.
It’s so clear to both your best friends why Wonwoo is the choice you should make, and you’re displaying it right now. The comfortable body language, the laugh, and how you introduce them to him without any nerves. He’s so sweet when he offers to cook (only for one of his other friends to snatch the tongs from him with a hiss to take over, it’s still the thought and attempt that counts).
Wonwoo takes the seat next to you. Of course he does, he likes you, but there’s something inside of you that has trouble with swallowing that information. And truthfully? It wasn’t like you didn’t enjoy his company or want to reject his feelings—if anything, you’ve caught yourself imagining the what-ifs.
Then, Seokmin’s face shows up in those fantasies.
It’s a reminder of why you need a remedy for your lovesick symptoms, mostly because if a guy like Wonwoo is here with his rowdy friends, unable to keep his eyes that are full of adoration for you, then why would you waste your time with someone else right here?
You could… You could see yourself falling for Wonwoo. It’ll take time, that’s for sure, but you don’t think it’s impossible.
“How do you like your steak?” He asks, tongs in hand as he turns his head away from the grill to look at you. “Medium? Fully cooked?”
“Medium rare,” you answer, and Wonwoo serves you first before kindly asking the same question to your friends. P and Sunny are impressed, rolling their lips to suppress their giggles and teasing, wiggling their brows in your direction.
“So,” P begins, putting down her chopsticks. “We heard you’re a racecar driver.”
He chuckles, rubbing his nape awkwardly. “I–I wouldn’t necessarily say that. Was a temp thing.”
Seungcheol nudges Wonwoo. “Don’t act all humble. It’s aight to say it, you’re a racecar driver now. You got to compete with Kyeomie, I’d say you deserve the title.” He winks teasingly, but you know he says it to give Wonwoo the push he needs. Seungcheol naturally leads their group of friends; you’ve seen him gesture to Mingyu to grab the tongs and start cooking when he sees plates empty, tell Minghao to ask the server for more drinks when the liquid in the glasses get low, and even just now, when he encourages Wonwoo to be a little bolder. Wonwoo’s pit crew wasn’t just his “pit crew”... they’re his friends. You admire that.
The night runs smoothly. P and Sunny are so impressed and smitten with Wonwoo, constantly encouraging you to make moves on him. Quite frankly, you even… forgot about Seokmin for a moment.
That is, until your eye catches him entering the restaurant.

Blond uji and blond doky doubledick-ing reader sex?
🫣🫣🫣 under the cut
warnings: MDNI!!!!!! threesome, fem reader, penetration, overstimulation, voyeurism, oral, cumplay, dacriphilia
when this idea popped on the conversation, you have no other choice but to put it in action, your pussy throbbing just with the thought of it. and here you are right now, just in your underwear and two blonde topless men coaching over you.
woozi is seated comfortably on a chair across the room as dokyeom comes your way. he pushes your hair out of the way gently, whispering close to you "can i?" he askes, not really specifying it, but you dont care, you're letting them do anything and everything to you.
you just nod and answer "please" it comes out small and quiet, has him laughing and woozi smirking, watching both of you from behind with arms crossed.
dokyem carresses down your arms, hugging your waist to push you for a kiss. you kiss intensely as his hand sneaks to your bra behind you, undoing it as it slides down to the floor. you're already completely melting onto his embrace. his hands pinching your nipples feeling it hardening under his fingers as you whimper. he unattached your lips to watch it closely, his dick twitching at the sight of your bare breast. he palms the flesh, caressing his thumbs in them as you moan this time.
when he's satisfied, he slides his hands down your core, palm it over your thong as you gasp. he looks up at you, going down to his knees, presing a kiss to your lower belly before sliding down your panties, leaving you completely naked. this new position has you breathless, woozi in front of you with his heated gaze at your way and dokyeom on his knees for you.
your attention is back when dokyeom slides his fingers on your walls, feeling it wet his finger in one motion. he gasps "hyung, she's so wet already" he says to woozi on the other side of the room as both of you lock eye to eye.
dk pushes your leg up, giving a good view of your pussy both to him and woozi as their cock gets uncontrollably hard on their pants.
"beautiful" woozi praises at the view "take good care of her, dokyeom-ah" he says finally. dk just nods, going straight to your core right after. he laps his tongue on it, sucking on your clit, humming at your taste. you moan, grasping his hair from how good it feels.
you can hear the sound of woozi's belt undoing as he puts both of his coverages down, finally freeing his member. he spits his palms as your eyes meet, before going to stroke his length while watching every motion of yours. he gasps relieved hearing your moans and whines.
dk fucks you with his tongue, feeling your tightening under it. he pushes the wetness up your clit, stimulating you there until you cum. his tongue is washed with your release as your high approach, your walls clenching around him, before you fall sit on the bed, feeling your leg numb from the high. dk reaches for your core, riding it with his fingerd until you come down.
once you feel it calming, you whimper from the pain, making him stop. you open your eyes just to see woozi getting up, his dick pressing over his tummy with the tip red. dokyeom doing the same, as he goes up to take off his boxers.
"in all fours, pretty" woozi says, coming your way this time. you do as he says, putting your face down and ass up to them.
"look up right here" dokyeom pronounces, and when you take a look, he is stroking his hard member just like the older one was before "can you take me, baby?" he askes, and you just moan in response, putting your tongue out for him. he moans too at the sight, landing his head cock on your tongue. you lick around it making him go closer, wanting more of you. he gasps when you put your lips around it, sucking it.
for a moment you had completely forgot woozi presence but he make it known once he positions himself behind you and slides his fingers up your folds, entering with both middle fingers inside you. you moan around dk's cock, having his cock twitching on your mouth. woozi stretching inside you and dk starting to move, fucking your mouth, has your mind spinning, your hands gripping the sheets underneath you.
"gotta prepare you for me, pretty" woozi says while his fingers work inside you. the wetness starting to drip down your inner thighs. he slides off, sucking both of his fingers clean, tasting yourself on it, moaning around it, as he leaves it with a pop. you can hear everything, your eyes going shut from all the pleasure, your pussy clenching from the loss and the sounds he made
his hands are back on you, grabbing your ass and sides as he positions his cock to your entrance. he slowly presses in, it has you moaning around dk's cock again. he's having a hard time not cumming already, hugging your hair in a ponytail, easying a bit of tension there.
woozi bottoms out easily because all the preparation you had before. he pushes back just to pound right back in, repeating it, thrusting steadily into you. he swears under his breath, feeling your walls tightening around him "fuck! are you already close?" he says and you whimper, because you are. can you blame yourself tho? dk's whines and woozi's thrusts, you feel like breaking at any moment.
"do you wanna cum, pretty? should i let her, dokyeom-ah?" woozi says, taking an almost unbearable pace inside you.
dk slides his dick off your mouth, gasping a bit at the loss, his tip dripping pre cum from it. he goes down to your eye level, he caresses your cheeks, your breath almost not coming out and your lungs burning "what you think, yn?" he says
"no!" you plea and woozi immediately pulls out. you regret it the moment you say it, crying out in frustration "dokyeomie hasn't fuck me yet" you pout and dk smirks darkly staring at you.
both men spare a look to each other, knowing what to do next. woozi goes down to hand your hair, pushing your body up to him. once your back meets his chest, he pushes your face to the side, nibbling at your ear "a little greedy, aren't you, pretty thing?" he says, sucking the skin right down the crotch of your neck.
you whine as he lets go of you, switching positions with the other man. dokyeom goes behind you, grabbing your ass cheeks with his palm, massaging your skin as woozi goes in front of you, finally going for a kiss. your mouths meet messily as his hand presses around your throat, making you whine in his mouth.
dk pushes your hips to his, aligning his cock to your entrance, sliding slowly into you as you seat on him. you keep moaning, it coming out muffled by woozi's kisses. and once he bottoms out, he demands "go on, ride me, baby"
as woozi leaves your mouth, you start moving on dokyeom's member. woozi hand adds more pressure around your neck, having your eyes rolling back and walls clenching. he has such a good view of your titties bouncing and pretty mouth agape and moans, flushed cheeks, sweat forehead, you look so fucked up and pretty, he feels this urge to cum too. so he reaches for his member again, stroking it, chasing his high.
"fuck! hyung, she's so tight" dk says as you're so close to cumming too. you whine, feeling your legs weak, fighting not to give in.
"hmm its too much, too much" you plea, as your thrust haults, unlike your desire.
dk feels that and grips your hips in place, starting to thrust back into you. you feel it coming, your head going back and goosebumps spreading through your skin. your moan gets louder, and both men feel themselves close.
woozi stops stroking his cock for a moment, handing with his free hand his length to your clit, drawing circles in the hardening muscle as you feel your eyes watery and your high finally rushing through you. dk swears under his breath, picking up the pace as he's cumming.
"that's right, pretty, let it all go. i know, i know" woozi talks you through it, carressing his hand around your throat as you keep moaning and whining. you whimper once dk's cock slide off of you, his hot spread of cum decoring your ass cheeks and lower back as he groans through it. woozi's cockhead massages your clit one last time as his cum is hitting you there, his cock twitches, spreading his cum to your belly and titties as you relax your body. it comes out in a low moan, his head thrownback and eyes closed
dk comfortable lays you down on the bed, putting you off his lap as he too rest by your side, woozi throws himself on the chair from earlier, relaxing himself too. the three of you feelinhmg exhausted and surely with a taste of wanting more for the next times.

Pairing: Seventeen DK x Reader
Genre: Fluff
.
"Hey, Y/N."
Looking up from your desk and towards the door of your office, you smiled. "DK, what brings you here?"
As soon as his name left your lips, you could see a bashful expression cross his face. Glancing down to his shoes before looking back up to you, he offered a tentative smile. "I just happened to be in the building and thought maybe you'd like to grab lunch with me?"
Blinking back in surprise, you cleared your throat. Technically, you and Dokyeom were coworkers, he an idol (obviously) and you working in the lower levels of management at Hybe. You had been part of the production crew for many a Seventeen project, so you had grown familiar with the guys over the years.
DK, more often than not, was the member that seemed to naturally gravitate toward you. When ordering lunch, passing out water, or resting on a break, he seemed to subconsciously seek you out. His shyness was adorable your first few run-ins, but once you realized he may have had a crush, you were already in far too deep yourself.
"I brought my lunch today," you managed, the words tasting sour in your mouth. "I was hoping I could take it at my desk to work through some things I'm behind on."
It wasn't a lie. You did need to catch up, but you also couldn't admit that hanging out privately with DK scared the crap out of you. He was gorgeous, side-splitting levels of funny, and completely unattainable. You knew if you spent more time around him, it wouldn't be long until you caught feelings.
"Oh," he chirped, beginning to nod. "Yeah, of course, I understand."
"Maybe next time though?" you asked, desperate to see that smile light up his face again.
"Of course," he hummed, giving you what you hoped for, but not nearly as genuine. "I'll stop by again when I'm back in the building."
And that's how the new routine began. At least once a week DK would show up in your doorway and you would think of a new and creative excuse not to fall in love with him.
Nearly a month after his original visit, you were typing out a relatively important email when your favorite nuisance showed up.
"Y/N," he drawled, leaning against the door frame. "I think I know your answer, but I'm here anyway."
You smiled sheepishly, ducking your head in an attempt to cool the heat scorching across your neck. You knew he would likely catch on to your MO, but you hadn't realized how embarrassing being confronted would be. "I'm sorry, DK. Things are so busy with your upcoming promotions and-"
"Can I at least grab your lunch for you from the common area?" he asked, tilting his head. "It'll save you a few steps."
"Sure," you nodded. He was incredibly sweet, which made it suck even more. "It's in the purple bento box."
"You got it!" he smiled, giving a quick spin before launching down the hallway.
You really did need to suck it up and either tell him to quit coming by or accept his advances. Just because you were a coward didn't mean that he needed to suffer. You were better not being perceived by anyone at his level of attractiveness. It would only be a matter of time before you somehow did something mortifying and turned him off forever.
After plugging away at the email for a few more minutes, you furrowed your brow and looked toward the hall. Surely, he should have found your food.
Just as you were about to hit send and head out his way, he appeared again. Holding your bento, his face was twisted in confusion. "This is yours, right?"
"Yeah," you said slowly. "Why?"
"Well," he sighed. "I looked for it everywhere in the fridge but couldn't find it. I moved everything around and was about to give up when I noticed it out of the corner of my eye. It was sitting in the communal sink, empty."
"Empty?" you muttered, standing. Crossing the room toward him, you took the lunch box from his hands. Sure enough, there was not a trace left of the food you had packed that morning. "I bring the same box every day. Who would eat out of it?"
"Did someone new start?" he asked, tilting his head. "Someone could have done it by mistake?"
"I guess," you sighed, dropping it on your desk. "I guess I can order in..."
"Why don't you let me go grab something?" he asked. "We can eat together in your office, so you don't even have to step away."
The hopeful look in his eyes crushed what little self-preservation you had left. This option really provided no wiggle room for an excuse. "I don't want to make you go to all that trouble..."
"No trouble at all!" he smiled, already turning away from you.
"Wait," you sighed, teetering on the line that you had drawn for yourself. "Let me send this email and I'll come with you."
"You will?" he gasped, but immediately schooled his features. "I mean, sounds good."
Mentally preparing yourself to rip off the Band-Aid, you may have spent a bit longer on the email than you had intended. It was difficult to think clearly with DK wandering around your space, peering at every framed picture and book you had haphazardly stacked around.
"Ready?" you asked, after reading through what you had written for probably the thirtieth time. At this point, you would just hit send and hope for the best.
"Born ready," he smiled, his eyes disappearing into crescents. "There's this really cute noodle place right down the street. I was thinking we could go there?"
Your brain fished around in its recesses for the restaurant he was talking about. If you could recall correctly, it was a notorious spot for couples. The thought made you swallow, hard. "Sure."
"Perfect," he hummed. "Madam?"
Offering his elbow to you, you hesitated before taking it. So, this was really happening. You were going to break down and go on a not-date with Dokyeom. He had labeled it as just "grabbing lunch," but why did you feel like it was so much more?
As you would realize later, it was because if you gave an inch, Dokyeom would take a mile. It wasn't long into your walk before he started complaining about it being sweltering outside. The weather was only 24°C, so it was hardly balmy. After peeling off his jacket, he quickly switched up to holding your hand.
Glancing down in surprise to see his long fingers intertwined with yours, you looked back up to him, wide-eyed.
"Is this okay?" he asked cheerfully.
You gave a silent nod before fixing your eyes in front of you again. You were so screwed.
.
Against your better judgement, lunch with DK was a blast. Being around him was so effortless. As you talked over jajangmyeon, it was easy to open up and show sides of yourself that you only reserved for those closest to you. You didn't realize you were even doing it until after you already had, making you go into an overthinking spiral of whether or not you were sharing too much.
In the end, it didn't really matter because Dokyeom seemed to like it that way.
When he returned you to your office, he gave you a long hug before insisting on coming by again soon. After everything, you sat behind your desk, a bit numb in the aftereffects of all things DK.
He hadn't asked for your number and aside from holding your hand, he really hadn't made any advances. His body language was overwhelmingly flirty, but you weren't sure if that's just how he was naturally or not.
"Accept it for what it is," you muttered to yourself, shaking off the cobwebs in your brain. Even if things didn't cross over into "more than friends" territory like your heart was already considering, just having him as a close friend would be fulfilling enough.
No matter how many times you told yourself that DK was just displaying normal, friendly behavior, it was all thrown out of the window when he showed up again the next week.
Carrying a bouquet of what looked to be a mix of wildflowers, he strode up to your desk and sat on the edge. "Now, we've made remarkable progress last week when you had no other options but to have lunch with me. Can we defy the universe and have it happen again?"
You let out a surprised snort. "Maybe if you gave me an idea of when you were coming, I'd be more prepared to leave the office."
"Where's the fun in that?" he asked. "These are for you by the way."
"I would have been only a little heartbroken if you came into my office with flowers that were not for me," you smiled, taking them from his hands.
"So, are you setting me up for a gentle letdown?" he asked, quirking a brow. "Or are you wanting to try the new burger place a block down?"
"I really-"
"Need to finish up this project, so I'm working at my desk," he finished with a soft smile.
"But this time, I really do mean it," you laughed.
"You didn't before?!" he gasped.
Shit. You didn't want to let that little factoid slip. See, this is what happened when you let your guard down around him.
"I may or may not have been avoiding your lunch invitation for a few weeks," you winced. "But you're intimidating!"
"On what planet?!"
"Earth!" you groaned, hiding behind your fingers.
DK sighed before sliding off of your desk and facing you. "I'll forgive you if you come eat with me."
"Well, that's not fair," you pouted.
"Fine," he harrumphed. "I'll just have to take it into my own hands like last time."
"Like last time?" you asked, narrowing your eyes at him.
Covering his mouth with his hand, DK stood as still as a statue.
"You know," you grumbled, crossing your arms. "You're not going to get out of this by hoping I forget about you because you're not moving."
"It would work if you were a t-rex," he muttered, dropping his arms to rest at his side.
"Spill it, Seokmin," you sighed.
"I accidentally ate your lunch last week," he said quickly.
"I'm sorry," you laughed. "You what?"
"When I was grabbing your bento out of the fridge, I had a lightbulb moment," he whined. "I thought if you didn't have your food, you'd be forced to eat with me...so I just...inhaled it. You make excellent bibimbap by the way."
You didn't know if you wanted to laugh or smack him. "You set me up!"
"Because you were avoiding me!" he exclaimed, sending an accusatory finger your way. "You said it yourself!"
"Because you're intimidating!" you repeated.
"How?! How am I intimidating and why is this news to me?!"
"You're incredibly dreamy!" you blurted. "And I was scared that I was going to fall for you, alright?"
DK took a small step back as if you had actually chose to smack him. He kept quiet as his wide eyes blinked at you.
"Please say something," you whispered, pinching the bridge of your nose.
At a painfully slow rate, a smile spread across his lips. "You think I'm dreamy?"
Plopping into your rolling chair, you leaned against your desk, and hid in the fortress of your arms. It was not physically or mentally possible for you to be more horrified.
"Y/N!" DK cooed, immediately stepping around to where you were sitting. Wrapping his arms around your shoulders, he rested his chin on your head. "That is the cutest thing I have ever heard."
"I hate it," you muttered into your sleeves.
"I don't," he chuckled. "And if you haven't figured it out by now, I think you're pretty dreamy too."
"Really?' you squeaked.
"You think I offer to buy lunch and flowers for Mingyu once a week?" he asked. Nuzzling his face into your hair, he laughed again. "I guess we were both hiding something from each other."
"I can't believe you ate twice just to get me to go out with you," you muttered, finally sitting up.
"You're worth the stomachache I had afterwards," he smiled. "I was scared that if I tried to kiss you, the nerves would make my stomach pop."
"Please tell me you didn't eat my lunch again today?" you joked. DK's lips fell into a flat line as he looked away from you. "You didn't!"
"I was prepared to do whatever I had to do!" he gasped. "Now are you coming with me to lunch or not?!"
"Yes," you laughed, shaking your head. "I absolutely will."

Jealousy, jealousy
Tumblr media
genre: fluff, established relationship
pairing: Seokmin x reader (ft. Mingyu)
summary: Seokmin is not jealous...or is he? It's all because of Mingyu, your handsome friend from college who suddenly bumped into you at the grocery store.
warnings: possessiveness (only if you squint)
note: This isn't really proofread so if there are any changes I should make, please let me know! Enjoy reading <33
Tumblr media
Seokmin was not jealous.
He just didn't like the way your eyes sparkled every time Mingyu, your college friend whom you just happened to bump into at the grocery store, said something that made you laugh a little too hard for his liking. Not that he didn't like that you were laughing or anything, in fact Seokmin loved your cute laugh and sparkling eyes. He had just thought it was only him who could make you laugh that way.
Seokmin wasn't jealous, he just didn't like how Mingyu was everything Seokmin was not. Mingyu had big muscles that could be seen through the tight-fitting shirt he was wearing, Seokmin had neither big muscles nor a tight-fitting shirt to accentuate whatever muscles he might possibly have. Mingyu had a cute smile that never failed to make any girl within a 10-mile radius swoon, Seokmin on the other hand only had a smile that people used to bully him for in middle school.
Seokmin wasn't jealous, he just didn't like the way you were so focused on catching up on life since college with Mingyu, that you didn't pay any attention to your loving, doting boyfriend who was by your side. No matter how many times he subtly poked your side, waiting expectantly for at least some kind of response, you offered little to no reaction and focused on Mingyu's words instead.
Okay, so maybe Seokmin was a little jealous.
Correction.
Seokmin was very jealous.
But, to be fair, he was trying hard to not let his jealousy and anger show. Seokmin made sure to laugh and smile at all the right parts of Mingyu's rambles that you seemed oh-so interested in.
"-and then the luggage finally opened after trying every possible combination," Mingyu rambled on with a laugh, retelling the funny story of getting locked out of his luggage on vacation.
Seokmin pursed his lips at the way you were bent over laughing and holding onto Mingyu's shoulder for support.
Was Mingyu really that funny?
"I...CAN'T...BELIVE....THAT...HAPPENED...TO...YOU," You finally shout in between giggles and gasps for air.
"Hahahaha, that's so funny!" Seokmin added on with the biggest smile he could muster, trying not to be left out of the conversation.
But underneath Seokmin's seemingly cheerful demeanor he was becoming more pissed by the second.
"What's so great about Mingyu?" Seokmin scoffed under his breath and gave the man a sharp glare as he wrapped a hand around your waist protectively.
Mingyu, quickly catching onto Seokmins irritated aura, took that as a sign to get going before he would have to face the wrath of your boyfriend. "I have to go get some chicken breasts for my workouts, but before I go how about we exchange our numbers? Let's keep in touch!"
Smiling, you quickly exchanged your number with Mingyu and bid him a goodbye with a promise of dinner in the future to catch up more.
The second Mingyu left in search of his chicken, Seokmin wraps his arms around your waist while dropping his chin onto your shoulder and giving you a pout. "I don't think you should meet up with Mingyu again."
Raising an eyebrow at Seokmin's statement, you let out a laugh. "Why not?"
"Well, first of all, he just eats chicken and like lettuce. Did you see his grocery basket?? If you ate with him it would be pretty terrible don't you think? Second of all, he is-"
You interrupt Seokmin's rambling with a teasing laugh, "you're jealous, aren't you?"
Caught off guard, Seokmin's eyes widen and he lets out a laugh of embarrassment, "I-I- I'm not-"
"Well, you don't need to worry, I only have eyes for you," you reassure Seokmin with a soft smile, instantly making him less worried.
But why were you looking at Mingyu with all of your attention when you were talking with him?," Seokmin asks while eyeing you suspiciously.
"That's called focusing and listening in a conversation idiot," you say with a laugh while shoving Seokmin to the side playfully.
Embarrassed, Seokmin laughs and covers his face with his hands, his cheeks now a bright pink.
"Cute," you mutter before cupping Seokmin's cheeks with your hands and giving a small peck on his lips before pulling away, causing his cheeks to turn an even brighter shade of pink.
But right before you can separate yourself from Seokmin, he suddenly scoops you up tightly in his arms and presses your lips together once again. This time much longer and deeper.
"Seokmin, we're in a grocery store-,"you mumble in between the kiss while furiously glancing around and making sure no one is witnessing something they would definitely not want to see while shopping for groceries.
"Who cares, we gotta show Mingyu I'm yours," Seokmin says with a teasing laugh as he kisses you harder.

content: bickering, some modern family references (just names n stuff), smut, penetrative sex, f reader, riding, tit play (??) idk he just likes ur tits, etc.
a/n: this is kinda meant to be a modern family au based on haley and andy's first meeting so theres some references to the show (just fyi) except this ends as smut 🫡 can also be read as nanny!seokmin and richbrat!you tho
wc: 1370
masterlist
modern family au where you, ditzy and careless granddaughter of rich business owner, incidentally meet your family's new manny!seokmin while sneaking into your grandfather's house for some alone time by the pool. you grab a few beers, knowing your grandfather and his wife probably wont be back for a while when you hear someone clear their throat behind you. startled, you drop the glass bottles on the floor and turn around to see who the hell is in your supposedly-empty grandfather's house.
you're taken aback as soon as you meet his eyes. pretty boy your age in what's supposed to be a place only your family had access to ? you wont complain, but you're still pretty bummed about the wasted beer.
the first words out of his mouth are to scold you. great. yet another person to get in your way just when you're re trying to relax away from your overbearing family. but wait, you think, you still have no idea who this man is.
"who are you?", you question as he leans over to clean up the bottles you had broken (the bottles he broke, if anyone asked you).
"no. who are you?", he gives as rebuttal. "mr pritchet didnt say anyone would be here today. are you alex or __?" he says, cutely tilting his head to the side like a confused puppy, making your heart melt role your eyes.
"im alex," you lie, knowing your sister wouldnt get in trouble for this anyways. "now my question."
"i'm your grandfather's new manny," he replies with a boyish smile, stretching his free hand towards you.
"you're not manny. i know manny and you look nothing like him," you say frowning, knowing this is totally not your uncle manny.
"oh, you're __. i'm seokmin. the new male nanny," he says in a tone that makes you think he mightve meant it as an insult .. you choose to ignore it, instead looking at his arms as he continues to wipe the broken glass. why hadnt you noticed his arms earlier ?
"i'm sorry, but im gonna have to tell your grandfather that you broke glass near the pool," he interrupts your thoughts as he finishes picking up the broken glass.
fuck. you just got out of being grounded, you cant have your mom know you snuck into your grandpa's house again, specially for day-drinking (you're over 21 now, whats the big issue?!).
you panic, so you go for the first thing that comes to mind.
"do you really have to do that, seokmin?", you flutter your lashes at him, untying the top of your bathing suit cover and pushing up your barely-covered tits for him to see.
he looks down, momentarily forgetting what he was talking about, but quickly looks back up. "thats not gonna work, your grandparents warned me about you," he says as he looks away from your chest.
he already bit the hook. there's really nothing to lose now.
you take slow steps towards him, making sure to sway your hips as you do so, placing your hands on his shoulders as soon as you're close enough. "listen. this can stay between us, right? you've already cleaned everything up. there's no reason we need to waste our time in telling him how you caught me off guard and made me drop the glass, is there?", you rub your hands up and down his chest, slowly unbuttoning his shirt while he stands still, letting you continue your actions.
"m-me?! y-YOU broke it! you're not even supposed to be h-" he cuts himself off when you get tired of his talking and decide to just rip the rest of the buttons off.
"listen to me, seokmin. we can waste the next hour arguing about who did what while we wait for my grandpa to get here," you start pressing your mouth to his ear, almost giving him the attention he really wants, but not fully. "or we could go to the guest room and i could give you a little something in return for your silence. wouldn't that be more fun?"
with one more look from him, you find yourself moments later sitting atop him in one of the mansion's guest rooms, bouncing on top of him with your back facing his chest. his eyes were glued to your ass, with his hands groping your hips tightly as he furrowed his eyebrows in pleasure. never would he have expected that the airheaded girl his new employers warned him about would be this pretty and feel this good wrapped around him.
"fuck," he exhales, rubbing his hands up and down your back, ultimately landing on your ass, melding his hands unto the soft skin. "b-baby fuck. slow down."
"but minnie .. my grandparents could be back any second. besides, you're doing me a favour. it'd be mean of me to not make it up to you, wouldnt it?", you put on a sweet voice for him as you bounce faster, also wanting to reach your high as the pretty boy impaled you.
frustrated at not being able to see you, he uses those beefy arms you were eyeing earlier to lift you up and turn you around on top of him, now looking into your eyes as you held onto his shoulders for support. looking at his pretty eyes staring up at you with softness despite the lewdness of the act made you feel crazy. feeling addicted to the way he looked at you, you decided to give him a show.
"fuck, minnie. feel so fucking good," you moaned, dragging your hands up to your tits to play with them, rubbing your nipples in a way that had you rolling your eyes back. "dont you wanna help me, minnie? be a good boy and put your hands on me."
he whined at your words, sitting up a bit and replacing your hands with his. pinching at your nipples, he made you cry out loud and rub yourself even harder, now catching an angle that allowed your clit to rub against him. feeling drunk on your enthusiasm, he moved one of his hands to your hip in order to guide you, moving his mouth to bite and lick at your nipples, making you roll your eyes back.
both your ends approached, now with you maniacally bouncing on him while his mouth stayed stuck to your chest, alternating breasts to suck and whine into. feeling completely cock drunk, you increased the intensity of your movements, leading yourself into a mind-blowing orgasm with him following soon after, his moans muffled by your chest.
you spent the next five minutes softly cleaning each other up and getting rid of the evidence (dirty sheets, condom, etc) before anyone arrived home, all while shyly exchanging glances at each other. it was unlike you to feel shy when interacting with a guy (i mean, you did just seduce your grandparents new nanny within minutes of knowing him), but there was something about his good-boy attitude and soft demeanor towards you that just drew you to him. that, and how easy on the eyes he was.
your thoughts were promptly interrupted by him quietly speaking up "listen, i know i'm probably overstepping and just embarrassing myself by saying this but, i kind of uh. i kind of felt a connection there. i think you mightve even felt it too? would you like to maybe see where this goes? i could take you out, or if not we could start off as friends too, you know? or maybe this again? wait, no. i'm not suggesting that you should uh- but if you want to! i mean, whatever you want! it's just tha-" he continues to ramble, clearly losing track of what his original question was.
just like him, you interrupt his monologue by grabbing onto his face, making him stop mid sentence and look at you. "yes," you giggle. "we can go out seokmin. i'll know where to find you," and with that, you leave him with a peck and a wink as you exit the room, successfully leaving the house before anyone arrived, knowing you'd be coming back whenever possible to get some alone time with your grandparents' pretty manny you were now planning to make yours.
a/n: i feel like this mightve made no sense if u've never seen modern family SORRY anyways i just wanted to use the trope hehe (theyre endgame btw not like in the actual show </3)

Is it everything that you did? You don’t know, you don’t care anymore. You and Seokmin have been fighting over the last hour and at this point you don’t even remember what the fight was originally about. You look at Seokmin to see his angry face that was so much in contrast with his usual bright personality.
“Seokmin, can we stop? I don’t even remember what this was about?” you groan getting tired as he shuts his mouth abruptly staring at you. There was something in your face that showed him it was not you just getting tired.
Something was bothering you.
“What is it?” he asked, his voice suddenly becoming gentle and you sighed muttering a 'nothing'. The truth is you hated fights, you don't want them to happen with somebody you love.
“It is something,” he continues after a short pause and you nod your head to a ‘no’. You just felt relieved that he has stopped fighting and it is better.
“So what, this was your excuse for stopping me?” Seokmin mutters, feeling angry again and you panic. That will be the last thing you want.
“No, Seok, okay listen,” you speak hurriedly as he sighs and sits down on the couch. “I hate fights, I always think they are the cause of problems,” you say after a minute as he looks up at you.
“I know my parents are a good couple but when they used to fight, I always thought they would get divorced or something bad would happen, I feel like fights ruin relationships,” you finish resting your head on the cushion.
“That is a very wrong idea,” Seokmin speaks up after sinking in your words. “Occasionally, people fight, even if they love each other, it can never destroy a relationship. Provided, it is occasional, or rare. People will disagree, your parents will too and we will too. That doesn’t mean they would stop loving each other, or I would stop loving you. Fights, rare ones, are symbols of a healthy relationship,” he says, looking at you.
You nod slowly, taking in his words, you have never considered this perspective, always being too afraid of everything in a fight and neither have you confessed about this to anybody. “You are right,” you reply after a minute.
He shrugged replying, “Of course I am, you are dating this very insightful person who has the best intellectuals,” he smirks and you deadpan, “Don’t push your luck.”
“Okay,” he grinned as you felt relieved suddenly everything was off your chest and you felt better.
“I know you feel better right now but a kiss on my lips would make it best,” Seokmin said, puckering his lips as you rolled your eyes and pecked him lightly. He smiles like an idiot as you laugh. He is your idiot.

by the the time seokmin gets home, you’re almost done with dinner.
you’d actually hoped to be finished by the time he gets home, but you’re still cooking when the sound of keys jingles by the door, and your boyfriend’s regular “i’m home~” sings through the house.
you call back to him (“the kitchen!”) because you really can’t leave the stove right now — he appears behind you with drawn features and a tired smile, wrapping his arms around you from behind and resting his chin on your shoulder. “you cooked my favourite,” he observes quietly, gratefulness underlining his tone and punctuating it with a soft kiss dropped on the side of your face.
you smile at him slightly, before pressing a returning kiss to his cheek and motioning for him to sit down.
seokmin frowns. “you don’t need help?”
you shake your head. “just sit down and look pretty. that’ll help.”
he smiles then, a real one that curves his lips wider than you’ve seen them all day. despite it, he still tries again; “really, baby, i can — ”
you whip back around, pointing your wooden spoon at him like a weapon. “nope! just sit! be pretty!”
your boyfriend sighs — whether in defeat or relief or a mix of both, you’re not quite sure.
“how was your day?” you question.
seokmin lets out a non-committal grunt. “tiring,” he admits, which isn’t new knowledge to you. you’d texted him around lunchtime reminding him to eat and asking how his schedule was going, and his reply was just so tired ㅠㅠ.
it’s when you start humming that seokmin realises you’re listening to his betelgeuse cover; and, despite the cold of outside and the tiredness seeping into his bones, his heart fills with indescribable warmth. he hasn’t eaten yet, but he feels completely and totally full.
the feeling doesn’t dissipate for the rest of the night. (even when the playlist switches randomly and suddenly fire by the hip hop team is blasting in the kitchen and it’s 11pm and you’re trying ecstatically to rap along with them and he’s watching and laughing and all he can think is that he must be the luckiest guy on earth.)

“The Christmas dinner will be held on Friday night at seven o’clock.” You boss begins concluding the meeting, shuffling his own papers into a pile before looking up at the group. “No kids permitted but partners are welcomed.” He adds looking at each of his team leaders, his eyes landing on you at the end of the table, “I look forwards to meeting everyone’s significant others.” Your bosses eyes linger for a second too long before he calls your name,  “Would you mind staying for a little bit longer?” You nod in response, pretending to organise your papers as your other colleagues shuffle out of the meeting room.
“So, are we going to be expecting your boyfriend to be attending this year?” Your boss asks as the last person leaves the meeting room, the door swinging closed. You let out a quiet sigh as you turn towards your boss, a tight smile on your face. “You two have been together for a while now and we’ve never met him.” Your boss continues, taking a few long strides till he stand in front of you. “I just find it funny, is all.” He tries to explain.
You take deep breaths as you try to force yourself to stay still, the older man tucking a long piece of hair behind you ear. To him you’re sure the gesture seemed sweet and romantic, but to you it was a threat, a show of power.
“I’ll see what I can do. He works night shifts so it’s hard to rearrange his schedule.” You say lightly, holding your papers tight to your chest, trying your hardest not to watch as your boss gazes over your body.
“Well I expect him to be there…” You boss says, and you let out a breath thinking he would take the hint, but your body tenses again as he leans forwards, his lips pressing just below your ear, “otherwise I’ll have to assume you’re lying to me.” You continue to smile as your boss glances at you one more time before sauntering out of the room, your body falling into one of the table chairs, a shiver running up your spine.
“Maybe I am lying to you, you absolute piece of garbage.” You hiss, wanting to cry out the frustration of your creepy boss. “What kind of disgusting, egotistical maniac think they can touch their employe— oh hey seungkwan.” You stop yourself short in your rant, only just noticing the wide eyed man who walks into the room.
“Everything alright?”  He asks you as you slump further into your chair, embarrassed that you just got caught cussing out your boss.
“Yep, everything is fine. Why wouldn’t everything be fine?” You have to admit that you’re beginning to sound unhinged, the man taking slow steps towards you as he takes in the clear distress on your face.
“Is it Minhyuk again?” Seungkwan asks and you just nod, another anxious shiver running through your body. “Have you mentioned it to anyone?” He questions as he pulls out a chair, sitting down besides you, placing a comforting hand on your arm.
“I’ve been to HR, he’s my direct supervisor so no one will do anything. He’s my boss Seungkwan there is nothing I can do except suck it up.” You rub your face lightly, trying to ignore the way Seungkwan watches you with concern.
“What about Seokmin?” Seungkwan says softly. You head whipping towards him in surprise. Seungkwan didn’t speak about his step brother often but you had met him a few times when Seungkwan had dragged you home with him for the holidays.
“What about him?” You ask confused about where he was going with his suggestion.
“Well there is no one higher up then him in this company, and I’m sure if you asked him for help he would do his best.” Seungkwan was always someone who expected the best from everyone.
“He has bigger things to worry about, than an entry level employee and her boundary crossing boss.” You whine, pushing the hair out of your face before standing from your chair, smiling one last time at your friend, hoping it reaches your eyes enough to convince him.
“I’ll be fine.” You reassure the man, who shakes his head in disbelief but says nothing more, watching as you leave the meeting room, his phone already in his hand.
You managed to convince your supervisor that you needed to rush home for personal reasons, the words ‘time of the month’ and ‘huge mess’ may have been thrown around to make the man as uncomfortable as possible, he quickly ushered you to get your bag and head home as soon as possible.
You were quick to grab your stuff and bid a quick farewell to your desk mate and rush home, your car stuttering to a stop in your townhouse driveway, your head falling against your steering wheel as you let out a long groan of frustration.
What the hell where you going to do?
You had no boyfriend?
You barely had friends, and certainly not single ones you could convince to pretend to be your boyfriend for the Christmas party. You smack your hands against your steering wheel once more before grabbing your bag and stomping your way inside.
Your night consists of ordering the greasiest cheeseburger you can find on your phone and sitting in your pyjamas with a permanent frown on your face - you had four days.
If you didn’t find someone by Friday you would have to admit to everyone on your team… in your department that you had lied about having a boyfriend.
“I could always stage a break up.” You say to yourself, looking down at the cat sitting on the rug with a frown, shoving another piece of chocolate into your mouth as you shake your head. “Oh, what if I stage an accident, like fall down the stairs or something. Wouldn’t have to go to the Christmas party then.” Your idea seems to enter the room and then dissipate as quickly as you spit it out. You glare at your cat once more, huffing as he stretches his little limbs blinking at you innocently.
“You really are no help.” You pout at him, your body jumping as a loud knock sounds against your front door. “Must be the food.” You say to your cat who is sitting at alert besides the couch, growling at the front door.
You rush forwards wiping your hands on your pants as you turn the lock of your front door, opening it quickly with the excitement of fast food.
“Seokmin?” You question, looking at the tall man who stands on your front steps, he holds your delivery food in his hand and stares at you with a shy grin. “I caught the delivery man as I was pulling up.” He says handing you the bag with food. You nod slowly as you take the food from him, motioning for him to follow you inside.
“Why are you here?” You ask as you drop the bag onto the kitchen bench, facing the man with a scowl. “Seungkwan told you, didn’t he?” You continue, sighing for the hundredth time today as the man nods his head, adjusting the glasses on his nose.
“He wasn’t specific, he just said you were having problems at work.” He answers, smiling as you cats rubs against his legs. “Hey fish.” He greets the silver furred cretin with a quick scratch before turning back to you.
“I know things were a bit awkward since that night, but you know you can always tell me if something is going on, right?” He starts, his words bringing back the memories of your night together six months ago.
“Please, Min, I need more.” Your voice was quiet and breathy. You remember him grinning down at you, his nose bumping against your jawline as his fingers continue their agonising pace.
The two of you seem to be thinking about the same thing as Seokmin clears his throat, bringing your attention back to the present. You shake your head, letting out a laugh of disbelief.
“I’ve tried reaching out to the other department heads Seokmin, but nothing will happen. Nothing will change.” You mumbles, crossing your arms over your chest as you try to shake away the memories of the two of you together.
“Seungkwan mentioned it was something about your department supervisor, Minhyuk? ” He asks and you don’t even bother answering him, he should know the answer. “He said that your supervisor has been crossing boundaries with you.” He continues, you continue to stay silent.
It’s Seokmin’s turn to sigh as he places himself on the arm of your couch, pushing some hair out of his face.
You never fail to notice how handsome he is. Especially with his hair growing out, it was fluffy on top of his head, obviously freshly washed, he wore gold wire framed glasses the only thing that had changed since the first time you met him. Seokmin looks to the ground as he sweeps the fluffy, brown hair out of his face, adjusting the glasses on his nose.
“Why didn’t you come to me about any of this?” Seokmin questions and you shrug, pulling the fries out of the bag, stuffing a few in your mouth to avoid actually having to answer the question. Seokmin waits, his patience has always been astronomical compared to yours, he waits till you swallow the salty fries before gesturing for you to answer the question.
“What did you want me to tell you?” You complain, blowing at a loose piece of hair which falls in your eyes. “Hey Seokmin, I know we don’t really talk since last year but I thought I should mention that my supervisor is so pushy with me I had to make up an imaginary boyfriend so he’d leave me alone.” You start, watching as Seokmin’s face remains neutral.
“How about, ‘Hey Mr CEO, that I fucked last Christmas at your parents house, you know my supervisor, yeah he likes to try and squeeze my thigh during meetings’.” You can’t hep but scoff as you say the words yourself. You know that you’re probably making things harder, that he’s just trying to help you but you can’t help the anger that bubbles under your skin.
“You don’t get to come here and ask why I didn’t ask you for help.” You insist, turning away from him as he stand from his spot on the couch. “We aren’t really friends Seokmin, and frankly you’re the CEO not the HR department, this should be the least of your concerns.”
This time it’s Seokmin’s turn scoff, his hand tucking into his coat pockets as he watches you pace around the dining room. “Maybe we’re not as close as you and Seungkwan are but I’ve spent every Christmas with you for the last five years. And if one of my employees is getting sexually harassed, regardless of my affection towards them, it should be at the top of my priority list. What he’s doing, isn’t acceptable.”
You can’t say you’d ever seen Seokmin angry before. He was always a very calm person, maybe someone who had too much energy.
But he never got angry.
At anyone.
Ever.
You can’t help but take a step away from him, his voice louder than he intended, his hands clenched inside his pockets as he takes a few breaths, trying to calm himself. “I’m not angry with you.” He mumbles, his hands falling out of his pockets as he drops his head, scratching the back of his head.
“I know.” You whisper, watching him hesitantly.
“Your affections for me?” You repeat under your breath, noticing the way the red rises on Seokmin’s neck, his expression showing his silent self scoldings.
“Look, this probably isn’t something that will be fixed in the next four days.” Seokmin says and you nod. It’s what you were expecting him to say. You pick up another hot chunk of potato, dropping it in your mouth. “But, it is going to be bumped up with HR, they will do a full investigation.” He says, finally lifting his gaze from the floor.
“In the meantime, what can I do to help?” His question catches you by surprise, the fry catching in your throat as you choke out a cough, staring at the man as if he had grown another head, a comfortable smile on his face as he watches you suffer.
“What do you mean?” You respond as you pound your fist on your chest, clearing your throat of the potato.
“You said you had to make up an imaginary boyfriend to get the guy off your back, right?” He reiterates.
You nod.
“So why don’t I pretend to be your boyfriend?” You can’t stop the laugh that escapes you, “Think of it as a christmas favour” he continues, you are bending at the waist as the laugh shakes your shoulders and aches in your stomach.
“How am I meant to explain that? Oh yes, my boyfriend that I’ve never brought to a company get together is actually the boss.” You continue to laugh, letting it settle a little as Seokmin stays silent. “Oh, you were serious?”
“I don’t see what other choice you have.” He says softly. “Other than admitting to a room of adults that you have an imaginary boyfriend.” His words sink to the pit of your stomach.
Fuck.
+
+
“Can you stop fidgeting?” Seokmin chastises as you adjust your dress once more as you look at yourself in the mirror. The light blue dress was something Seokmin has been insistent on your wearing as he perused your closet the other day. The two of you had spent the last three days deciding on the story you would weave to convince your coworkers of your dating history.
“Remember we need to stick to the truth as much as possible, it’ll make things easier.” He had said the night you sat down with pizza to hash out your relationship. “We met through Seungkwan.” He said quickly, the truth.
“We spent christmas break together and decided to seek out something more with each other.” He continued, watching as your wrote it down. “We kept things a secret to avoid any scandals at work but decided after five years it was time to let everyone know.” You nodded as you jotted his words down on the piece of paper.
“I’ll pull some strings with Joshua in HR, ask him to play along, pretend there was a contract always filled out.” Seokmin says quietly and you froze, your head shooting up to glance at him. “Don’t worry he’s an old friend, he won’t snitch.” His smile eases you and you jot it down on the paper.
“Do you think this will actually work?” You ask turning away from the mirror towards him. His own hands finish smoothing out the vest of his pin stripe suit.
“It will. I’ll make it work.” He assures you, his sunshine grin dampening any concerns that still drifted through your head. “We better head off if we want to get there in time.” You lean over to your bed, picking up the white purse slinging it over your shoulder. You watch him tuck his arms inside the suit jacket, straightening the expensive material.
The work christmas party always involved people dressing to the nines - everyone wanted one day to pretend they were rich and famous, right? Seokmin has splurged on his suit, claiming “if we are announcing that we’re together I want to leave a good impression.”  You had balked at his words, this man was acting as if he was some stranger to the people attending, not the CEO of the company he worked at, not like he was the man that had paid for the whole party.
Seokmin has prepaid a car to take you both to the event and both to your separate homes afterwards, he had spared no expense to make it seem as if you were really dating.
The car ride is filled mainly with the two of you rerunning the story, the plan. You were to enter the building first alone, Seokmin would come in after and fulfil his duties to the shareholders, he would always be within earshot in case you needed anything. He would eventually introduce himself to Minhyuk as your secret boyfriend, as quietly as possible.
Seokmin gives you a bright grin as his driver opens the car door, offering you a hand to slide out of the car. You return a tight smile back, repeating the words Seokmin has whispered in your ears as the car pulled up to the venue.
“I will be there the whole time, if you want to leave just squeeze my hand twice.”
Your entrance to the party was easy, you said brief hello’s and gave holiday greeting to the employees that you knew, keeping an eye out for your supervisor amongst the already tipsy guests. You manage to spot Joshua from HR in the crowd the man giving you a wink and a cheeky smile from across the room.
“I feel like you’re going to need this.” Seungkwan whispers in your ear, handing you the glass of champagne. He was aware of the plan with Seokmin, it felt wrong to leave him out of it. Seungkwan stands a few steps away as he takes in your appearance. “You look amazing by the way.” He mumbles.
The gown was an old bridesmaid dress you wore two years ago, the hundred a fifty dollars it costs meant it stayed in your closet dreaming of being worn again. It was aline, tight along the bodice, the square neckline resembling a corset of sorts, the skirt of the dress a little more dramatic as it dropped off your hips. Your favourite part was how the dress tied with straps against your bare back, just grazing the base of your spine with  the skirt fabric.
The room falls quiet as a presence walks through the door. Seokmin somehow managed to look larger in his suit. The three piece pin stripe attire fitting him with perfection, accentuation his broad shoulders and defined waist. The man exuding calmness as he walked in, welcoming everyone with a beaming ‘Merry Christmas’, the party resuming as the first chairman greeted the young CEO.
Seungkwan held his glass up in a cheers as the two of you continued your night by the bar, gossiping about the mothers who decided tonight was their night. You had managed to make it two hours into the party before even catching a glimpse of the man you hoped would be too drunk to notice you were even here.
You could feel him finally catch you in the crowd, his eyes darkened as he spots you alone beside Seungkwan. “I’m just going to run to the bathroom.” You say, handing your friend the empty glass of champagne, scuffling through the crowd hoping to escape to the restroom before your supervisor could catch up to you.
“Now where do you think you’re going?” The voice calls from behind you, the hand gripping your forearm and wrenching you away from the bathroom door only a metre away. You let out a surprised yelp as Minhyuk grips your arm pulling you towards him.
“Let go of me.” You hiss as you try to tug your arm free of his grip. You could tell his was drunk, the way his steps stumbled, his eyes were blurred, not to mention the wafting smell of overpriced liquor. The man just laughed at your attempts to free your arm, reaching out with his other hand to secure you other arm as well.
“I must say you look delicious as always.” He croons, his eyes grazing over your body as he takes in the tight bodice of your dress. “I was surprise to see you show up alone, couldn’t convince your boyfriend to tag along?” He teases, a shiver running up your spine as he pulls your closed to him, his breath running along the skin of your neck.
“Minhyuk, let me go.” You say again, your voice not wavering as you look around for other passerby’s. “I won’t ask again, this is assault.”
“You know, I’ve always wondered if maybe you just made up your boyfriend, pretended to play hardball. You’ve always known how much I’ve wanted you, maybe you’re doing all this to tease me.” His words are slurred as he presses a wet kiss to your neck, your body tensing up.
“Please don’t do this.” You plead, “Just let me go.” You ask one more time. You knew a drunk man was more likely to do things he shouldn’t, and with how brash Minhyuk was sober your doubted he’d show you much professionalism while intoxicated. You tug your arms one more time, hoping to free at least one of them, when a hand reaches out to grip your assailants wrist.
“She asked you three times.” Seokmin’s voice is dangerously low, he squeezes against the wrist hard, Minhyuk letting out a pained groan as he releases your left arm. You watch in silence as Seokmin takes a step in front of you, reaching out to take Minhyuk’s other wrist, repeating the action until both your arms are free, Seokmin having a tight hold of the drunk man’s arms.
“Listen closely, because I will only say it once.” Seokmin starts, his eyebrows drawn tight as he leans in, “You will be escorted to your office, you will collect your belongings and vacate the building immediately, any resistance and you can sober up at the local police station.” You watch as Minhyuk’s face pales, his eyes darting between you and his boss.
“Don’t look at her.” Seokmin snaps.
“You will be issued with a two week notice on Monday but you are not to return to the building on any circumstances, are we clear?” He says, your ex-supervisor nodding furiously as Seokmin releases his arms, you recognise the large figure that steps up behind him as the security guard in the lobby.
“Take good care of him, Seungcheol.” Seokmin says with a tight nod, Seungcheol just grins back in response.
You let out a shaky sigh as Seokmin turns towards you, his hand reaching out for you.
“Did he hurt you?” He questions as he touches your arms gently. So gently you barely feel his fingers smooth the red bruising on your skin.
“I’m okay.” You whisper, watching him look at the redness on your wrists with a frown. “Really, Min, I’m okay.” You reiterate, his gaze finally snapping up to your face, his warm hands wrapping around your burning wrists, the one gesture soothing the ache.
“I should’ve stayed with you.” He grumbles, his frown still sitting on his face. You smile and shake your head.
You tug on your arms lightly, a clear difference between the man standing before you and the one that had been escorted away. Seokmin releases you easily, his frown growing as he fears you’ll step away from him. Your hands reach out pushing some of his neatly swept hair back into place, the locks having fallen in front of his eyes in his rush to get to you.
“I am okay.” You say one more time, your hands sitting on Seokmin’s cheeks as you force his to keep eye contact, to ensure he understand that you’re telling the truth. His expression relaxes slightly as he looks down at you, his eyes scanning you for any signs of untruth.
You shake your head with a light laugh as you step forward, stepping up onto your tippy toes as you press a soft kiss to his mouth. “My hero.” You coo, as you fall back to the base of your heels, smiling up at your sunshine.
Seokmin stands stunned for a few minutes before breaking out in a grin. He takes his turn, leaning down slowly, catching your lips with his. The kiss is soft, sweet, his hands gentle against the bare skin of your back as you pulls you to him. You fingers scratch at the base of his skull, fiddling with the hair.
“I don’t know if this is appropriate after what happened.” He whispers against your lips but you just shrug, kissing him again.
“Fuck appropriate.” You huff, pulling your face away from his, one of your hands sliding down from his cheeks, trailing over his forearm before grabbing his hand, squeezing twice. “I think you should take me home.”
Seokmin doesn’t waste time, he steps away from you, lacing your fingers together as he looks for the quickest escape route. The party is in full swing, as he guides you through the crowd, managing to somehow avoid every drunk colleague that tries to grab him for a conversation. You chuckle, as he side steps one of the sponsors, tugging you after him as he smack the button for the elevator.
“The driver is on his break.” Seokmin says softly, as the elevator doors open, pulling the SUV’s keys from his jacket pocket. He hadn’t expected to leave for another hour or two and had told his driver to go down the street to get dinner.
The elevator doors close, and you lean up pressing a breezy kiss on the underside of his ears, nipping at the skin lightly with your teeth.
“The car will have to do.” You speak against his flushed skin, the man letting out a shudder as he holds your hand tighter, flashes of your night together last christmas flashing in your head.
You laid on Seokmin’s twin bed, his old checkered sheets from his college days still adorning the ten year old mattress.
“You have to be quiet.” He hisses at you as he hikes your skirt further up your legs, the fabric gathering at your waist as he looks down at your dripping cunt with excitement. Seokmin’s hands graze your thighs as he trails them to the waistband of your panties. He guides the soft lace down your legs with ease, tugging it gently off each foot as he moves back up your body, his soft, hot breaths raising goosebumps on your skin.
“These will help.” He says softly against your cheek as he raising your soaked panties to your lips, watching with darkened gaze as you open your mouth and welcome in the fabric, the sweet scent of yourself filling your nose.
You let out a stranger moan as you close your mouth around the underwear, your breathing heavier as you watch Seokmin delve between your legs. He feasts like a man starved, one hand on each thigh holding you open as his tongue ravishes you. He doesn’t pull away for breath as your hips start bucking against his face, the tip of his nose grazing against you clit.
You let out another whine, as there is a heavy knock at the door. You torso shoots up from the bed at the sound. You’re so close to getting caught.
“Seokmin, are you in there?” Seungkwan asks through the thick wood door. You remember Seokmin turning the lock on the door when you had both rushed into the room, attached together. Seokmin doesn’t answer his step brother, sucking your swollen clit into your mouth. Your hips thrust upwards furiously as you hold your hand over your gagged mouth.
You wince as Seungkwan knocks again, Seokmin letting out a feral growl of “no.” as you try to move away from him, tugging on your thighs, pulling you further down the bed, tighter against his mouth. You manage to hold in your helpless moans for another minute until you hear Seungkwan’s steps retreat back down the hall.
It doesn’t take long for an orgasm to rage through you, Seokmin’s mouth catching every last drop of cum that leaks from your swollen pussy.
“We are not even close to finished.” He smiles, like a cat who got the milk.
The sound of Seokmin wrenching open the car door brings you back to the moment, the man clambering inside the car, tugging you in after him. The door slams closed as Seokmin pulls you into his lap, his mouth finding the scented skin of your neck, letting out a long groan as the fresh smell of mango hits his senses.
“This is so fucking wrong.” He swears, as you tug the dress up around your hips, straddling his thick things as he glances over your body. You just smile, your hands reaching for his belt. Seokmin puts up no resistance as you loosen the faux leather, tugging his button open and pulling down the zipper just as quickly.
“We can do things right later.” You say, “Right now I need your dick inside me.” Seokmin hisses as your hand reaches into his tight breaches, pulling his hard cock from the restraints of his underwear.
“Are you sure this isn’t some kind of hero complex?” He asks, as you pump his cock a few times, sliding the oozing pre cum down his length. “I heard girls tend to feel like they owe favours when someone helps them.” Seokmin groans out as your adjust your panties under your dress, shuffling further into his lap as his cock grazes your folds.
“I don’t owe you anything.” You say softly, looking down at him as his cock sinks inside of you. “This is you doing me a favour.” You add, letting out a sigh of relief as Seokmin’s hands grip your hips, helping you slide down him slowly.
“Can’t argue with that.” He responds, his voice light as you close your eyes the feeling of his thick cock bottoming out inside of you, relishing in the burning skin of your face. He leans forwards pressing soft kiss against your shoulders as you rock your hips forwards and back.
“I’m so glad you’re rich.” You whine as Seokmin sucks harshly against your skin, his gaze shooting to you confused for a moment before his lips reattach to your jaw. “You windows are tinted and no one can see their boss fucking his employee aka his step brothers best friend.” You coo, the man beneath you bucking his hips up at your words.
“Does that turn you on?” You question with surprise. Seokmin just nods, the idea of public sex always high on his turn on list, maybe that’s why the two of you found yourself in his childhood bedroom last year, his family just downstairs eating christmas dinner.
“God, you’re so pretty.” He mumbles as he pushes hair of your shoulder, glacing down at your heaving chest, pressing kisses on any skin that available to him. Your thighs work hard in rising you up slightly, before dropping you back down, your hips bucking forwards every time his pelvis rubs against your clit.
“Say it again.” You mumble, your lip catching between your teeth as he trails soft touches over your skin.
“You are the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen.” He says.
“I would give anything to have you like this, on top of me, every night.” He continues, his own hips bucking up to meet you as he feels your thrusts begin to slow.
“I want you to be mine, I want us to be something more.” He whispers, tucking hair behind your ear, his hand resting against your cheek. You nuzzle into his hand, pressing a gentle peck against his wrist as he smiles up at you.
“You’re perfect.” He says in awe as your thighs clench, your body stopping as you let out a small whimper falling against his chest. His hips thrust up a few times before he’s joining you in your high, heavy gasps the only thing filling the car.
The windows were fogged up, the both of you with a light layer of sweat on your skin.
“Do you think you’re driver will be mad?” You question, tugging a laugh from the tired man under you.
“Probably.” Seokmin answers, pressing a kiss to your cheek before helping you off of him, adjusting your dress to the best of his abilities. It was a problem he’d deal with later.
