This has to be mentioned because of everything that is going on, but the people of Ukraine continues to amaze me every day.
As many of you know, I'm a BIG Eurovision fan, and once again, Ukraine is partaking in the competition.
This year they have chosen alyona alyona and Jerry Heil with the song "Teresa & Maria", and I fucking love this song.
Ukraine's national final was hosted in a bunker in Kyiv under the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War. These pictures and this performance was made, in a bunker! Last year, Vidbir was hosted in a metro station. Ukraine is going through a war and has to do this is hiding, but their production and determination is still better than most other countries and their national selections.
They are amazing at everything they do, and I hope and wish good upon for all the Ukrainian children and families me and my classmates have met through our internships, and the ones that I've never met.

Eurovision Fact #540:
The Ukrainian national final Vibdir was recorded a day before it aired for the public. The voting section and announcement portion of the show was live. This had to be done as a result of safety guidelines due to the war.
However, when the time to announce the winner came, there was a malfunction with the software, so competition ended without an announcement of who would be going to Eurovision.
