They had to nerf Commander Cody in clone wars and bad batch or else he'd been too powerful.
Give him a metal chair and ibuprofen he would have been able to defeat anyone. He would have Palpatine on the floor crying.

Heiress of Crimes (Dazai Osamu x oc)
This was written abt a year ago; made me proud of how much I've grown.
I had been in the mafia since birth, my mother and father were both talented mafiosos; renowned by their bosses.
Mori had taken me under his care when they died of mysterious causes. He raised me to be a thousand times better than my parents, and I was so much more.
All had been well until I met Daza; he was loud and eccentric, I was more on the quiet side. Mori introduced me as Executive Pierce and said that I was his higher up and he was to report to me.
We didn't talk often, he came into my office every once and  while to drop off a folder or ask a question.
But as Dazai flew through the ranks, it was only a matter of time before we were partnered together for a mission.
Mori called both of us down to his office. "We seem to be having a bit of an issue with our weapons developer, we're not exactly sure if something’s happened to him, if he's been harmed in some way, or compromised."
I nodded. "What time?"
"I've already sent the details to the both of you."
I sighed and tied my long and unruly hair back, I didn't bother to hide my appearance around my targets. They would be dead before they could report anything after all.
"Sooooooo," Dazai drawled, sliding up next to me. "You're like the hot shot around here huh?"
I gave him a glance out of the corner of my eye. "Sure, why?"
"Just curious," He said.
"I don't believe you," I told him.
He laughed darkly. "Should've known, Mori warned me before you came into the room that you'd be a powerful force."
I hummed. "You'd be wise to listen."
"Tell me, Pierce, what is your ability?" He asked.
"Wouldn't you like to know, Bandages?" I snapped.
He opened his mouth to answer but was cut off by a man walking over with a smug grin. "Well, well, well, can't get along with anyone, can you Pierce?"
I sighed. "Hello Odasaku."
Dazai looked at the Oda. "Are you our escort?"
"Yes I am," He said. "Pierce here called me."
"Sorry to bother you," I apologized. "Didn't feel like using one of Mori's lackeys."
He shrugged. "It's fine."
"Where too?" Dazai asked.
I pointed to the fire escape. "Climb to the top, sweep the area for the weapons guy, get out and report to Mori."
"What if it's a trap?" He questioned.
"Then we kill everyone in the room," I said with a glower aimed at the brink wall.
"Aren't you just a bundle of joy."
Slowly I opened a trap door and we slinked down into the room. Dazai turned to me with wide eyes and gestured for me to come closer. I turned around and closed the trap door, but turned my head to Dazai, all in one fluid moment.
"Down to your right," he whispered, so hushed I had to strain to hear it.
We moved down and as I went I got a better look at the cameras that laid by the door with two armed men by it. We sat just out of their view, but if we moved at all from the shadow they would see us.
"That's not Port Mafia tech," I whispered.
He gave me an 'oh really' look. "Do we go in?"
I pulled out a dagger. "We don't know how many men are down there. If I knock out the cameras and you get them, we have just a few minutes before any sort of back up comes."
Dazai nodded. "So act quick."
In one smooth movement; I leaped down, using the walls to help slow my fall and cut the wires off the camera. He followed behind me and shot the men down just as fast as I had.
I pulled out my smaller blades and readied it along my hands. "Ready?" I asked Dazai.
He cocked his gun and stood next to me. "I suppose."
Flinging open the door, I prepared for blood shed.
But there was no one there.
"Fuck," I hissed. "Call Mori."
We drove back to headquarters where Dazai and I walked into Mori's office to give a statement.
"What happened?" He asked the moment we walked in.
"There were two men in the warehouse," I told him. "No one else."
He swore and pushed back his hair, he turned to us with a frown. "This is troubling. Pierce," I raised my head, "I'm assigning you and Dazai to the case, for the time being I need you to work as partners."
"But-" I tried.
He cut me off with a wave of his hand. "Don't argue, this needs an ability like yours."
I scowled at the floor but nodded.
"What good will I be, Boss?" Dazai asked curiously.
"I trust you to keep Pierce in line," he gave me a look. "She tends to forget her mission."
Grumbling some stuff about how this was bullshit and I didn't even like Dazai, I left the room, Dazai following close behind.
"Wait."
I paused my stride and turned over my shoulder. "Yes?"
"This is a detrimental problem for the mafia," He told me. "I understand your dislike for me but I need you to kindly fuck off and work with me for this."
Glaring at the floor– I mumbled a quick: "Fine," and turned down the hall. But not before turning my head over my shoulder and shouting. "But that means no bullshit suicidal remarks."
He didn't answer but instead headed in the opposite direction.

Oh, Captain - Rex (TCW)
Summary: The 501st is getting a new Co-General and Rex wants to be prepared. His brothers, however, dare him to flirt with a woman at 79s the night before. Length: 1370 words Warnings: Unnamed Female Character (Can be Read as OC or Reader); Rex's Horrible Flirting Skills; Fives is a Menace
Tumblr media
79s was packed full of clones as usual, though the color scheme of the night was predominantly blue and yellow for the 501st and 212th. They had just finished a battle together in the Mid Rim and returned to Coruscant to resupply before they shipped out again. And in the case of the 501st, they were on Coruscant to pick up their new Jedi general.
It was the only reason why Rex went out that night in the first place.
He had to make sure that all of his men were presentable for their meeting with the new assistant general, who had been assigned to the battalion so that General Skywalker could be called away more often. General Skywalker assured Rex that the new assistant general wouldn’t be that much of a stick in the mud, but Rex didn’t want to take a risk.
“Oh, come on, Rex, you heard the General. The new general’s fun. Have a drink for kriff’s sake,” Fives urged, placing a drink in front of Rex.
“I’m all set, Fives,” Rex replied, pushing the drink away from him.
“Who is the new assistant general, anyways?” Echo asked curiously, leaning over. “The Commander didn’t have a name.”
“I bet they’re a brand new Jedi. Young like General Skywalker,” Jesse stated, earning some nods. “He mentioned that they trained together.”
“It’s not for us to speculate,” Rex replied, earning a sigh from some of his brothers. “We need to be prepared. I don’t want the new general’s first impression of us to be that we look sloppy.”
“Oh, relax, Rex,” Cody spoke up, causing the rest of the 501st to perk up. If anyone could talk some sense into Rex, it would be Cody. “You’re going to be fine. Have a drink. We were just in trenches on a dustball for fifteen rotations. Or maybe make a new friend.”
“Like her,” Fives interjected, smacking Rex on the shoulder.
The entire table turned to watch a humanoid woman take a seat at the bar. A woman alone in a clone bar? It would be about five seconds before she was swarmed. But there was something about her that intrigued Rex. He couldn’t put his finger on it, but there was just something about her that drew all of his attention without any work at all.
“I’ve never seen her here before,” Echo stated as the woman ordered a drink.
“I wouldn’t mind seeing her around,” Fives spoke up before glancing at Rex. “And looks like you wouldn’t either, Captain.”
“Not all of us think with what’s under our codpieces, Fives,” Rex grunted in return.
“I’m thinking that they are, though,” Jesse pointed out, gesturing to two clones who made their way over to the mysterious woman. “Hopefully her first experience with a clone isn’t one of Fox’s shinies. She’ll never come to a clone bar again.”
Rex glanced over at the woman again before getting up from his seat. Fives looked over at Echo with a shit-eating grin, to which Echo simply rolled his eyes. Rex walked around the bar, nodding to his brothers that he passed, but keeping his gaze on the mystery woman and the two clones that sat down next to her.
But before they got too far into a conversation, she seemed to say something with a seductive smile and his brothers got up and left her alone without a word of protest. Now, downright curious, Rex found his legs carrying him over to the woman. She turned her head and their eyes met for the first time. His heart seemed to stutter as he took the last few steps toward her.
“They weren’t bothering you, were they?” Rex asked, causing the woman to smile.
“No, not at all. I told them that I was just looking for a drink and nothing more. They seemed to do the rest of the math.” She took a sip of her drink, peering over the rim of her glass and practically into Rex’s soul. “Sorry if you were planning on playing hero, Commander.”
“It’s Captain, actually. Captain Rex,” Rex introduced himself, causing the woman’s eyes to widen a small fraction.
“My apologies, Captain Rex.”
And there was that arrhythmia again. Was this woman part-siren or something?
“You can just call me Rex,” he assured her, causing the woman to smile softly. “And what exactly should I call you, ma’am?”
“Anything but ‘ma’am’,” she quipped, taking another sip of her drink. “You’re making me feel a little too old, Captain.”
Kriff, he could get used to her calling him that.
They got to talking. Not so much specifics about themselves, but rather life around them. The GAR, galactic politics, the drink menu. Rex didn’t even realize that he literally didn’t know any basic facts about the woman until she got up to leave for the night.
“Do you come to this part of town often?” Rex asked, causing the woman to chuckle.
“Not usually, but I suppose I could make an exception . . . Captain.”
Rex watched her walk out the door before he was suddenly swarmed by brothers, rattling off question after question. Up until Cody, as the highest ranking officer of the bunch, took control of the situation and asked one simple question.
“What’s her name?”
Rex opened his mouth to reply, but instead winced, causing his brothers around him to groan.
“He’s hopeless,” Fives sighed, shaking his head.
“He was hopeless the second that he decided to follow your advice,” Echo pointed out.
*~*~*~*
Rex walked through the rows of his men, inspecting them one last time while the General and Commander brought aboard their new General. Co-General. Whatever. Either way, Rex wanted to impress them. And that meant that his men had to be in tip top shape. But when he heard the doors to the hangar open, Rex quickly took his place at the front.
Only to nearly drop his helmet when he recognized the woman walking with Anakin and Ahsoka. And when he heard Fives’s giggle, he could only swallow down a choice set of words.
“And here’s our captain, Rex,” Anakin introduced, causing their eyes to lock for the first time since the bar. “The best of the best.”
“I would expect no less,” she replied with an easygoing and mischievous smile. “It’s nice to meet you, Captain Rex.”
“You as well, General,” Rex practically choked out, trying to not sweat through his blacks.
“Rex, this the new co-general,” Ahsoka introduced, adding the general’s name. “She was Master Plo Koon’s padawan and served with the Wolffe Pack.”
“Why’d you leave it, General?” Rex directed towards the new general, who smiled at him.
“The Jedi Council needed someone to babysit General Skywalker and because I value public service above my own sanity—”
“—This whole spiel again?” Anakin complained, causing her to turn to him.
“You're just upset because Admiral Yularen laughed in your face when I told him what happened back on Corellia when you—”
“—Perhaps we should move on to the rest of the tour,” Anakin stressed, causing her to smirk.
“Of course.”
Anakin and Ahsoka led the way through the rows of troopers, though she lingered behind them. Looking over her shoulder, she offered Rex a smile that made his heart stop for a moment all over again.
“I’ll be back to meet the full battalion formally once the rest of my briefings are concluded. If that fits with your timeline, Captain?”
“Yes, of course, General.”
“Great.” She offered him a curt nod before that smirk returned. “And next time we’re at 79s, drinks are on me, Captain.”
The galaxy was testing him today, that was for sure. Rex watched her walk off with Anakin and Ahsoka before slowly putting his bucket back on his head.
“Fives,” he growled out. “You have exactly five seconds before—”
Fives took off in a sprint across the hangar and Rex took off after him. Echo sighed and shook his head before turning to his comms. Sending Commander Cody a message that Rex did learn that the woman that he was flirting with last night was the new general, Echo couldn’t help but laugh as he watched Fives evade Rex.
“Well, this is going to be interesting.”

New Kid (Alastor x oc Part One?)
I return with another random story that may or may not get finished (tell me if you do)
“She’s a bitch just throw here with the other fucks!” Adam exclaimed exasperated. “Killing is a one way ticket to Hell, what’s the shit with this chick?”
Sara’s eyebrow twitched in frustration. “Yes, the girl killed,” Lute raised her sword prepared to send her down. “BUT–” She glared at the exorcist. “She did it out of the kindness in her heart,” Her sad gaze turned to the dead woman. “However, there is no room for murderers in Heaven.”
“YES,” Adam pumped his fist. “LET’S GIVE THIS ONE AN ARM ON HER FACE!”
Emily frowned and twiddled her thumbs, Sara sighed. “No.”
Lute and the other angels were halfway to making her green and disfigured. “What is it now?” Adam groaned.
“I’ll deal with this one,” The high seraphim stated, waving her hands. “Dismissed.”
Adam gestured wildly with wide arm movements until Lute had sighed and pushed him out the door. Emily looked at Sara curiously. “What are you doing?”
Sara flew to the floating bench where the woman laid. “This girl doesn’t deserve what Hell will do with her kind soul.”
Emily’s eye turned to saucers when the other angel passed her hand over the top of the girl. Her mouth parted and she gasped in her first breath. Sara sighed and rested her hand on her now ash white skin, the two of them watched as her once brown hair turned platinum blonde, her hands curled into black claws.
“Is there nothing we can do?” Emily said softly as her face was scattered with dark blue freckles.
“I’m afraid not,” Sara shook her head. “She may be…in the gray area– morally– she’s still a demon in terms of her actions,” She carded her fingers through the woman's waves. “But…the goodness in her heart makes her an angel through and through.”
Her back arched off the table and an involuntary whimper escaped her lips.
“Who is she?” Emily asks, walking up to the girl cautiously.
The skin on her back split open with a brutal cracking of her bones. The wings on her back were nearly three times her length, black as pitch and shimmered under heaven’s lights. Under the void of feathers was a layer of steel.
“Her name is Morra Amaira.”
Morra awoke with a desperate gasp.
Her hands gripped at her chest as if searching for something.
“No no no!” She swore and punched the ground.
This was not the time to die.
Her fucking cat hadn’t eaten dinner yet.
“Hey there little lady~”
She looked up and glared at the figure from where he stood in the shadows. “Fuck off man, I’m not in the mood.”
He sauntered out in the dim red light and grinned at the fright that flickered over the features. “Something wrong?”
Morra studied his insect-like eyes and wings. “God you look like a fucking piece of shit.”
“What?” His wings buzzed in agitation.
“You heard me,” She growled using the wall to help her stand up. “I’m not into…whatever this is.”
He chuckled darkly and walked closer, her shoulders squared and a warning glint flickered in her eye. “I’m not asking for much, sweetheart.”
She ground her teeth together and prepared to turn and leave. “Great, now leave me alone.”
A hand curled around her wrist making her turn and deliver a punch with a sickening crack. She grinned darkly and shook out her wrist. “I said–” He cried out from his spot on the ground when she dug her heel into his dome shaped eye. “--leave me alone.”
“F-fuck you,” He yelled as she walked away. “You’ll die out here!”
“I’m already dead asshat!” She yelled back, not stopping her stride. “Where ‘m I going after this!”
Out on the street she could tell it was later at night, the massive pentagram in the sky was darker and the red hue was a deep crimson.
Morra stretched her arms over her head and groaned. “Where can a woman get some grub?”
Walking along the empty streets she frowned at the rotting corpses and random fires. No one seemed to be in the area but there obviously had been a fight of some sort.
“Disgusting,” She scoffed, kicking a finger into a drain. “Jesus I’m-” She paused where she stood and swiveled her head. “-starving.”
The ground below her seemed to vibrate in rhythmic beats making her kneel down and feel the floor. Her brows furrowed and she moved to where the constant thumping was most prominent.
“Helloooo?” She sang turning a corner.
The door was on the corner of a building furthest away from her. The bouncer was relatively small with an expression that made her feel annoyed already. “What?”
“Hey,” She smiled and walked closer to him. “I’m just looking for somewhere to sleep or get food?”
He looked her up and down as if he were sizing up a threat. “You new?”
“I suppose,” Morra nodded cautiously now.
“Why’re you here?” He asked, crossing his arms and giving her a look. “You’d of spawned in pride ring.”
She frowned. “And this is…”
“Sloth,” He answered.
“Doesn’t sound like it,” She laughed lightly pointing to the door.
He didn’t find her funny. “Listen lady, I've got better things to do than teach you how not to die again.”
“I’m sure I can manage,” She glared at him now. “Where can I get food?”
“Everything’ll be closed for the night,” he sighed. “Now scram.”
“What about in there?” She nodded to the door. “Is there food in the bar?”
He laughed. “Not for you.”
SLAM!
Morra’s forearm pinned him to the wall within a moment, when she let go he slid to the ground and whimpered. “Stay,” She opened the door and winced at the bright lights.
She made her way through the dancing people and the frantic chattering. The bar wasn’t too far from the front of the room.
“Hey!” She slid next to a white demon and waved down the bartender. “Can I get a water?”
“Uhhh,” He held up a bottle. “We have vodka? It’s clear too-”
She waved him away and dropped her head into her hands.
“Here, toots,” The demon beside her slid a bright pink water bottle.
Watching it warily, she took it and sniffed the top. “Water or another clear liquid?”
The arachnid-like creature rolled his eyes. “It’s water.”
She thanked him and took a sip, chugging a good quarter of it before sliding it back to him. “Is it too much to assume you have an apple with you as well?”
“I got coke?”
“Uhhhhh,” She shook her head slowly. “I’m good, thanks.”
“I’m messing,” He turned his chair towards her. “I don’t share the good stuff.”
Again, Morra thanked him for the water and asked if there’s a spot for food around.
He shook his head. “Most people eat before coming to a club– or at least know that they don’t have drinking water,” He eyed her slowly. “Newbie?”
“Guess so,” She sighed and looked around the twisting bodies. “Damn, Hell’s quite extravagant.”
“Oh please, it’ll get worse once the patches break out,” He stood and offered her a hand. “I know a place with food and shelter, bit of a walk tho– you up for it?”
Without much hesitation, she pulled herself up with his hand and nodded. “I could go for anything right now.”
“The Hazbin Hotel,” She sounded out slowly. “Place of redemption for all sinners…Uh what?”
“Yeah that’s Charlie’s whole shabang,” He made unenthusiastic jazz hands. “Redeem sinners in order to stop extermination day– you just missed it by the way.”
The two demons walked up the porch to the large doors. “Do I have to…redeem myself to stay here?”
“Nah,” He waved one of his hands. “Just don’t blow shit up and make the place look good and she won’t give two shits.”
One of his hands slowly raised to the door before it was swung open to reveal a face of gray that was slowly turning red. “ANGEL! Holy shit we’ve been looking everywhere for you!” She saw Morra’s hesitant figure and immediately stopped.
“Vaggie, why don’t we-” She cut herself off by squealing and lunging at the woman standing beside Angel. “HI!” Her beaming grin made Morra recoil. This did not stop her. “I’m Charlie!” She hooked Vaggie around the waist and tugged her to stand beside them. ”OhmygoshIcantbelievethisis-
happening,” She whispered (not really) to Vaggie. She inhaled a huge gulp of air and continued. “Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel– this is my girlfriend by the way– Vaggie– anyway– I can have a room ready for you in a few minutes–” ignoring a flabbergasted Angel and an amused Vaggie, Charlie spun her into the hotel and started to beeline for the kitchen. “I can fit you in for trust falls with Angel and I at 2; then we’ll make friendship–”
Morra didn’t have the heart to tell this bubbly demon that she wasn’t here for her little dream. “Uh, fun?”
“I KNOW!”
“Char Char,” Angel said, rubbing his forehead. “Let Mo go.”
Charlie listened, only to get inches away from her face and whisper shriek. “Your name is Mo?! D’aweeeee-”
Vaggie carefully pried her fingers from Morra’s shoulder and pulled her a few steps back. “Baby…she hasn’t even told you her name.”
Getting a better grip on the moment and the petrified look on Mo’s face, Charlie stepped back. “Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry,” She rubbed the back of her neck and smiled embarrassedly. “I guess we just haven’t had a real visiter yet.”
Morra’s heart broke. “I– uhhhhhhh–”
“She’s not here to be ‘redeemed,’” Angel interrupted, coming to her side and picking at his teeth. “She just popped out fresh and I thought she could use some help.”
Every bit of Morra’s heart was gone when his words registered on Charlie’s face. Even Vaggie’s frown and downcast stare made her cringe, although she looked more understanding.
“Sorry,” Mo said in barely a whisper. “I can go if yo-”
“Nonono,” She said quickly, shaking Vaggie off gently. “Don’t apologize, I shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions anyway. What’s your name?”
She smiled back. “Morra.”
Vaggie patted Charlie on the back and started to the stairs. “I’ll set up a room beside Angel’s.”
Charlie gave her a thumbs up. “Tell Alastor while you’re up there please.”
“What’s the ruckus?!” A gravelly voice called from around the corner.
“Husk!” Angel sashayed to lead Mo gently by the arm, they turned to be met with a bar. “This is Morra.”
“Hi,” She smiled with a wave.
Husk gave her a once over before grunting and taking a gulp of beer. “I’m too sober for this.”
“Don’t take it to heart,” Angel snickered. “He says that same thing when I-”
Morra’s eyes had blown to saucers before Husk yelled. “DON’T BELIEVE A WORD HE SAYS!”
“Calm down Husky,” Angel drawled before leaning to Mo and whispering. “Told ‘m that last night too.”
She flushed head to toe before robotically stepping over to the bar. “Whiskey on rocks, please– scratch that– straight vodka.”
The cat-like demon grunted in approval before fishing a glass out from under the counter. “Long day?”
“You have no idea,” She took the glass head on, only a faint twist of her lips to show the potent nature of the alcohol.
Husk whistled lowly, Angel gave her a toothy grin. “I like this one.”
They made polite small talk for another few minutes before Vaggie came down to tell her her room was ready.
“Thank you,” She smiled warmly. “I’ll go up whenever I feel like not leaving my bed for a week.”
“Oh yeah, reminds me,” Angel said with a tap of his fingers on the table. “How did you die?”
Morra’s eyebrows furrowed and she thought back to what was her morning. “I-” A blur of harsh lights and loud noises. “I think I got shot?”
Both of them stared at her for a moment. “You,” Angel said slowly. “Like– purposely or on a Sunday brunch with the girls?”
“What?” She said incredulously. “Of course purposely.”
Husk nearly laughed when it first came out of her mouth. Now he was just concerned. “Are you sure?”
“Who did it?” Angel asked, very much bewildered.
Morra was looking at them open mouthed. “I think it was some dude trying to break into my car– wait, you really think I’m lying?”
Both nodded vigorously. “Or at least delusional,” Husk told her. “I genuinely thought you were here for Charlie’s program.”
“Pffft,” She sipped on her spiked tea and rolled her eyes. “Fuck no, I’ve killed far to many people.”
The two demons made aggressive looks of confusion and worry. “Wait a second–”
“My, my, who’s the gorgeous belle tracking in mud all over the carpet?”
I have like half of the next chapter typed out if ya'll want me to finish it-
Tell me what you thought!

“Are you super sure?” I asked Colby for the tenth time.
He chuckled. “Yes we’re all sure, just like exploring.”
I groaned. “Nothing like that Colbs, DEMONS MAN,” I paused for effect. “DEMONS.”
“Avery stop worrying we’ll be fine,” Sam chimed in.
I was practically fuming, my phone was held in a vice grip and I had begun to pace the floors. “Just…be safe and call if anything happens, or if you need help.”
“Yes ma’am,” He laughed. “Text you when we land.”
I looked around the empty house after the call, all the boys were away for filming and my friends were busy. Now left alone to my anxieties, I dropped on the couch and sighed.
I woke up to my bedroom door being knocked on softly, a groan rose from my throat and I rolled over onto my side. “Go away,” I mumbled into my pillow.
“Avery?”
Immediately I was awake and sprinting to my door. On the other side stood a wilted Jake, he had his backpack on his shoulder, tearstained hoodie still on, face red after a cry.
“Jake?” I said, not wasting any time to gather him in my arms and bring him in for a hug, not caring why he was in tears in my door frame. “You okay?”
He squeezed my quick and rubbed his face with a shrug. “I’ll be fine, going to Tara’s place– but, uh,” he rubbed the back of his neck and looked at me, “Colby’s the one to be worried about.”
I swore and bolted down the hall, sliding to a quick stop at his door, I knocked. “Colby?”
No answer.
“It’s Avery,” I said softly. “Jake didn’t tell me what happened, I’m sure it was a lot. I get it of course, we don’t have to talk about anything if that’s what you want.”
No answer, just a soft click of the door being unlocked.
“I’m coming in,” I slowly opened the door, and poked my head in. “Cole?”
He was on the edge of his bed, a black tank top and plaid pajama shorts, I sharply inhaled through my nose at the sight of his face. A few tear streaks marked where he’d cried, slowly he looked at me and I felt my heartbreak at the confused look in his eyes.
“You were right,” He said slowly. “About…everything.”
In a few short steps I was beside him and wiping away the signs of sadness with my hands lightly cupping his face. “Oh bubs I’m so sorry.”
He chuckled and closed his eyes, leaning into my touch. “Don’t say that, it was our choice.”
“I should have done more to stop you,” I told him.
The room fell silent for a moment, just me allowing my friend to seek comfort in my warmth. “Do you want to tell me what happened now or do you want to sleep?”
He opened his eyes and pulled back from my palms. “Uh, it was kind of a lot…”
In hushed tones and shaky words he told me the full story of what had happened in B340, I listened and wiped away his tears as they fell. At the end I pulled him to my chest and his hands sought to bunch in my hoodie, we fell back onto the bed and I slid up to the pillows.
Colby pulled me closer and rested his head on my arm to use as a pillow, both arms still around me and his breath brushed my collar.
“Sleep now?”
He nodded and kept his eyes closed as I ran my hand through his hair.
“G’night,” He mumbled.
“Goodnight bubs.”
I vividly remember that night. Colby and I curled up in his room while I whispered reassurances in his ear about what they’d seen, or rather heard.
The next day I’d given Sam a huge hug and he cried for a few minutes. Then the rest of the boys slowly came over, with Kat, Tara, and I watching them and helping with what we could. Later in the week Aaron told them about the recording and I marveled at the light tapping.
It took them a while to take it all in and release this to the public. But shortly after they did, Colby came into my room to talk.
I was sitting at my desk editing through my most recent video, I heard a series of muttering from outside my door before a knock.
“Come in,” I called, spinning in my seat to face the door.
Colby shyly walked in and stood in the middle of the room with an awkward expression. I blinked and stared blankly at him.
“Need something bubs?” I ask, amused. “Or just here to hang?”
He rubbed his neck. “I, uh, I had a question.”
“Shoot,” I told him.
“Where did you start when you went ghost hunting for the first time?”
I blinked and racked my brain for an answer. “Ummmm, I think it was a small cabin a few miles from my old house in Kansas.”
His shoulders sagged and he sighed. “Well shit.”
“What’s going on bubs?” I asked.
“The boys and I were just doing some thinking,” he said cryptically.
I chuckled and crossed my arms. “Last time you lot did some thinking I ended up babysitting a gaggle of grown men for days.”
“We were going to look into ghost hunting,” He admitted quietly.
The room took a brief pause of silence, my eyes widened and my hand ran through my hair slowly. “Really?” I said softly.
He nodded. “Yeah, we did a lot of thinking and realized how exhilarating that felt.”
“It’s amazing,” I agreed. “But that’s a sudden switch…are you sure that you’re ready for it?”
“Ave,” He said, stepping closer. “You don’t need to baby me.”
I huffed out a laugh. “I know that but still,” he met my eyes. “You’re my best friend and I don’t want to see you hurt.”
Colby slowly tugged me up from my seat into a hug. “Thank you.”
My eyebrows furrowed. “For what?”
“For being you.”
That was 3 years ago.
“WHAT’S UP GUYS IT SAM AND COLBY!” Colby exclaimed in his usual fashion.
I rolled my eyes with a bright smile.
Sam cleared his throat and looked seriously at the camera. “Today we are back…at The Queen Mary.”
The two of them visibly shivered, I stepped forward and lightly set my hand on Colby’s back. He looked at me and back to the camera. “Today we are joined by the woman you all know and love…AVERY!”
I laughed and pinched his cheek. “Don’t forget Amanda and Matt.”
Sam shouted out the other two and they gave their introductions. Finally they started to talk about the last time they were here.
“Soooo we’re back,” Sam stated looking at Colby.
He sighed and dropped his head. “I vividly remember swearing to never come here again.”
“Hey last time I didn’t get to experience it,” I reminded them.
“Oh yeah,” Colby said. “Not sure if you guys know this but the last time we came here Avery was very insistent that we don’t go.”
I rolled my eyes again. “Did they listen? Noooo.”
“And now you’re back,” Amanda said.
The tour went well, of course with the occasional scare and jump on Matt’s part.
We sat on the floor of the ballroom, me in between Colby and Amanda.
“I’m opening up a line of communication for the spirits that reside on the Queen Mary,” Amanda called softly. “I call out specifically to the man John to come to me, anyone is welcome but I’m speaking directly to him.”
Sam set out a few rempods and such and Amanda pointed out a few people entering the room.
“You can touch any of these devices or make any noise to show us you’re here,” I added.
“They don’t know what those are.”
I rolled my eyes, I will always respect Sam and Colby’s decisions but this medium is really getting on my nerves. I understand that she can see the dead and such and I don’t doubt this but every word I say is “wrong”.
“My name is Avery, this is Sam, Colby, Matt, and Amanda,” I called around the room. “We have no harmful intentions, we only wish to hear your story.”
The room went quiet for a moment Sam opened his mouth to say something. “I there any-”
Knock.
Colby stiffened and searched for me, I grabbed his hand and smiled reassuringly. He smiled back and didn’t say anything.
Amanda began talking again about what she could see and what she felt. Sam asked a few questions and none of them were answered, Matt stood up and wanted to test something. I frowned sympathetically when I realized what was wrong. When he sat back down I patted his knee and mouthed ‘It’s okay’. Colby was watching me and I settled back next to him.
“What?” I whispered.
“Nothing,” He said quickly, turning to look at anything else.
They walked into the room first and began to just talk amongst themselves about that night. I stood leaning against the wall thinking Amanda came next to me.
“Can I help you?” I said politely.
She blinked rapidly. “No?”
I nodded. The silent filled the room for a moment before she sighed and whirled on me. “I feel like you don’t like me.”
“What? No,” I said, waving my hands. “I’m just not a people person, and I’m not super open with everyone I meet.”
A lie, she pissed me off with every word that fell from her mouth.
She tilted her head at me and frown.
Finally saving me from this conversation, Colby opened the door. “Avery, come in here real quick.”
I sprung up from my spot and walked through the door. Waves upon waves of just anger and agony flooded my senses, I winced and sat on the bed.
Sam spread his arms out to show off the room. “Well?”
“It’s freaky all right,” I nodded.
Colby laughed and pointed the camera at me. “Get why we got so freaked out?”
“For being ghost hunting virgins at the time?” I grinned. “Yes. And this place is…” I looked around and shuddered at the feeling of being watched. “I don’t like it.”
“For those of you that don’t know Avery or are new to the channel, she’s a really strong empath that we bring along to get the feel for the area,” Colby told the camera.
I raised an eyebrow. “And because I've been your best friend since middle school?”
Sam waved his hand in a dismissive manner. “Blah Blah Blah.”
“Asshole.”
We brought the rest of the gang in and I screwed my eyes shut as I felt the entity rear its face again. It seemed like Amanda did too because she had the same look that I did.
Sam clapped his hands together and grinned. “Ready?”
“30 MINUTES OF FOOTAGE.”
Sam was peeved to say the least, pacing around the room and ears practically smoking.
I shrugged and fell back onto the bed. “Happens sometimes.”
He groaned and grabbed the camera from Colby who was equally as upset but showed it in better ways. I sat up and patted him on the back as he sat beside me.
“Why don’t we try again?” I suggested, Sam gave me a look. “I’m serious, change SD cards and we’ll do an estes session.”
Amanda nodded. “I can listen as well and write down what I hear.”
“Or you can let Sam and Colby make a few of the calls for their channel,” I snapped.
Her eyes jumped to me, surprised and frantically blinked at my words. Colby gave me a concerned look and squeezed my hand as if to tell me to calm down.
Matt shifted nervously. “If we’re doing this again I might just go stand with the guide.”
The fire dancing in my eyes dulled as I remembered what the boys had gone through. “I can take you.”
“I’ll go too,” Colby said. I shot him a curious look. “So you don’t have to walk back alone.”
We set off down the hall making jokes and giggling like teenagers until we made it to the guide. Colby and I left Matt and walked back chatting quietly.
“Avery,” He said, interrupting a comfortable silence.
“Hm?”
Colby stopped walking and gently held my forearm, I raised an eyebrow and smiled at him. “You good bubs?”
He sighed and dropped his head onto my shoulder. “I didn’t wanna say it on camera but I have the worst headache ever.”
I ran my fingers through his hair and let him breathe slowly. “Stress?”
“I think so,” He said, lifting his head and pressed a kiss to my forehead.
A deep blush broke out across my face. “Sure you’ll be fine? I can ask Sam if he has any motrin in the first aid kit.”
“No,” He said, shaking his head. “I’ll be fine, I just needed a break.”
“That’s okay,” I promised, setting my hand on his cheek and smiling. “I take breaks sometimes too.”
He exhaled and smiled at me. “How did I get so lucky?”
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “What do you mean?”
“Just…” He shrugged and set his hand over mine. “You.”
I laughed lightly. “You’ve told me that before.”
Colby’s eyes turned soft and he rubbed my hand with his thumb. “It’s true Ave, you’re amazing and kind and caring and beautiful,” His other hand played with the ends of my black hair. “You’re always putting others before yourself and thinking about what’s best for everyone.”
My eyes filled with tears and my jaw fell open in awe. “I’d kiss you right now if I could.”
“Why can’t you?”
We were so fucking close.
The moment the words left his mouth I was holding his face in my hands and leaning forward, rapidly closing the space. Our breath left at the same moment and our lips had just grazed each other.
“COLBY! AVERY! COME ON, WE HAVE A VIDEO TO FINISH!” Sam shouted from the door of B340.
We sprung apart like teenagers caught in the act. Once realizing that Sam had closed the door we burst into laughter.
I giggled once more and turned to Colby with a smile. “C’mon we can talk later, I want outta this place as soon as possible.”
The car ride was silent.
Trips like these usually end in a quiet ride home, each head processing what it had witnessed. Sam and I were in the front, Colby’s headache was making his thoughts swirl and he didn’t want to risk messing up the rental.
We dropped off Amanda and Matt to their respective locations. I handed Sam the gps with the location of our house and we rode in more quiet.
“You good back there?” I said breaking the silence.
Colby nodded. “It’s getting better.”
“Okay,” I said softly. “Tell me if you need the air turned down and such.”
It wasn’t awkward, we’d never been a trio for tension, I’d usually make a joke or two but this time I could tell that they needed the moment.
We came to the house and I trotted up to the door to unlock it while they brought in our stuff. I thanked Colby when he gave me my bag and they walked to their rooms to get some sleep.
“I’m gonna go to Katrina’s,” Sam said quietly. “Just for the night.”
I nodded. “That’s perfectly alright Sam, tell her I said hello.”
“Will do.”
In hindsight, I should have expected this. Sam had left to go see his girlfriend and Colby quietly excused himself to his room. This time around I didn’t go looking for him rather just cleaning up and heading off to edit a video.
My phone buzzed once in my pocket.
Colbyyyyyyyy: U awake?
I opened the message and saw that he had deleted it. I quickly jumped off my chair and padded softly over to his room.
“You ain’t slick bubs,” I laugh. “I’ve been awake for a while.”
He opened the door sheepishly and smiled. “Heeeeeeey.”
“Hi,” I said grinning. “Need something?”
He flushes deep red and rubs the back of his neck. “I just can’t sleep.”
“Wanna go watch a movie? Maybe lay in my bed while I edit?”
“Do you need to edit?” He asked. “I don’t want to bother you if you need to work.”
I thought about my upload schedule. “I can make time tomorrow.”
He shook his head rapidly. “I don’t want you to do more than you need to.”
“Then just come into my room and lay down,” I insisted. “If you need me Colby I’m right here. I am volunteering to do this, you are not making me.”
That seemed to do the trick, he slowly nodded watching me with wide eyes and walked into the hallway. I walked into the room and shut the door behind him.
Like he had done it a thousand times before, Colby walked over to my bed and laid underneath the white covers.
“I’ll be done in a few minutes,” I promised him.
He grumbled out an ‘mhm’ and watched me silently, I popped on my head phones and continued to sift through footage. After ten minutes or so I turned off my laptop and stood up to find Colby reading a random book on my bedside.
“Finally,” He sighed, smiling up at me and setting down the book.
I laughed breathily and grabbed a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie, quickly changing while Colby covered him face with the sheets. “Okay now you have my full undivided attention.”
He uncovered his head, smiled and just stuck his hands out. “Gimme a hug.”
Scooting beside him I let him wrap his arms around my waist, I reciprocated the hug and pressed a kiss to the side of his head. “Wanna sleep or talk?”
I felt the rumble of his laugh in my chest. “I don’t think I can sleep.”
“Then we’ll talk till you feel safe,” I told him.
He looked up at me. “I do feel safe, Avery, you make me feel very safe.”
A beaming smile overtook my face. “Is that a good thing?”
“I think so?” He smiled and I gave a goofy one back.
I hugged him again. “You make me feel safe and loved, Colby Brock. “He was quiet and I was worried he was uncomfortable. “Bub-”
The moment I moved my head to look at him he was kissing me and I didn’t hesitate to do the same. God he was warm, I took note of how his bare skin felt under my palms and I blanked. My mind was solely focused on the beautiful boy kissing me.
We ran out of breath and pulled away, I was breathing heavily and propped up on my elbow. “That was-”
“I love you,” He interrupted giving me a look that . “You make me feel like the luckiest person in the world and I don’t say it enough. I’m sorry if that was over-stepping.” “Shut the fuck up,” I hissed with no real bite to my words. I pecked his lips again and held his face in my hands. “I have been waiting since 8th grade for this. Give me my moment.”
He chuckled and rolled he onto his chest. “Now I’m ready to go to bed.”
“Okay,” I whispered.
And that was enough for me.
Please do tell if you enjoyed!
I take requests as well.

"You're kidding...right?"
His fellow knights give their seething companion a bizarre look. "This wench needs to learn her place in the royal court."
The woman gives the thrown blade a distasteful glance. "No thank you."
He laughs with an air of arrogance. "Funny. You think you have a choice."
By her side a younger boy- who had previously been laughing- scowls and steps forward. She holds out her hand to stop him and exhales with exasperation. In a hushed whisper, she tells him. "Stay here, your highness," she kicks off her black and red curled shoes. "Alright sire, what are your rules?"
The cocky knight swirls his dual sided blade and grins wickedly. "First blood loses and has to admit defeat before his highness."
She tests the weight of the silver sword and shrugs. "Good for me."
Without much warning his knees push him into a lunge and his blade was aimed for her vital organs.
But the brightly dressed jester had caught his blade with her own- much to his surprise. The vibrations from the hit had his teeth clicking, she thrust her weight into sending him sprawling. By the time he had lumbered to his feet, she had sliced a thin paper cut of a wound into his cheek.
The crowd was silent.
The jester raised a brow and dropped the blade at his feet. "Tell the king Aeriana sends good wishes."
The boy she had been entertaining skipped to her side and began chirping about the fight.
"Prince Eviel?" A knight called from the gates with wide eyes.
He pouted and handed Aeriana his cloak. "You can come in for dinner- Mother had Clovis make Pasta."
She smiled and shook her head. "Enjoy your dinner, your highness."
As the royal guards whisked him away to his father, Aeriana walked back into town rubbing her old tattoo; the tell-tale symbol of a past knight in service.
You are the king’s court jester and you enjoy your job very much, but what not many people now is that you used to be a royal knight. One day a noble, offended by a joke you made, challenges you to a duel.

Echos of Who She Used to be (Bucky Barnes x oc)
Rlly on edge abt this one lmao
The first time Amanda met Bucky he wasn’t Bucky at all.
She was flat against the wall, listening for an opening, mouth covered by a thin cloth that tied under her tightly held hair. The bodies of men in front of her were just out of sight from the men.
“I don’t understand why we still affiliate with those asshole!” One yelled. “That goddamn monster they have-”
Another scoffed. “Which one?”
“He’s right.”
Bingo.
Amanda pulled a vill out of her pocket and shook it violently before opening it and letting the white milky mist spill out.
“Do you smell that?”
“Holy shit that smells like my momma’s baked cookies.”
“What? No, it’s burnt wood, like a campfire.”
Thump! “Don’t be stupid that’s old spice and fresh cut grass.”
“Anyone else feel…tired?”
“Hehe, yeeeeeaaaahhhh.”
She turned into the room, many of the suits were already out, slumped over or even fallen out of their seats. She walked over to the end on the long table, a lanky man was snoring on the table.
With a scowl, she grabbed him by his hair and lifted him up, a moonlite glow came from her palm and he blinked tiredly. “God you’re disgusting,” She growled.
He smiled like a drunk. “Are you an angel?”
She moved her other hand to his neck, it glowed that same light. “Where does HYDRA operate from?”
His eyes dilated but he sobered up and answered. “I have the coordinates on my computer.”
Amanda grinned and dropped his head. “Thank you Mr. Smitty.”
She turned and found a red dot on her forehead, she sighed and looked at the man. He didn’t speak, just held up the gun and stared, his mouth covered by a black heavy duty sheet. She raised an eyebrow. “Winter Soldier.”
He clicked off the safety. “Echo.”
“Don’t love the name,” She grumbled, he didn’t move. “Well? Gonna shoot?”
“I have orders to stop you from killing him,” He jerked his chin towards the sleeping man.
She chuckled. “He’s fine, Soldier.”
He dropped his gun and pressed his earpiece. “Mission complete.”
Amanda blinked then shrugged and turned to the hallway ready to find her file.
The second encounter wasn’t so lucky.
It was some eighteen months later, Amanda was snapping the neck of a HYDRA lackey in Germany, several others firing off rounds.
“Come at me fuckers!” She roared in German, dropping down behind a wall and sprinting down the street.
She quickly came to a halt, a familiar greasy haired man blocking the path to her getaway car. He had the same stoic expression while her adrenaline filled one dropped and she inched her hand to a pocket knife.
“We meet again, Winter!” She exclaimed, waving comically and grinned like he hadn’t already thought of hundreds of ways to beat her ass.
He began to walk closer and pulled out two knives, Amanda grumbled and dashed at him with one pocket knife. He faked left and swung with his right, she grinned and jumped up, wrapping her legs around his shoulders and flipping him flat on his back.
This time he had the intent to kill and she wasn’t giving up.
“C’mon Jackass,” She grumbled, kicking his left blade away and stepping on his other wrist. “I got free, you can do this, man.”
He ignored her and wrenched his hand free, swinging his foot up and knocking her down. Amanda rolled onto her back and parried his knife, he pressed and pressed until he was confused.
The Soldier grunted at the impact in his groin but didn’t budge. “Give up now Echo.”
“Pretty boy I will cut your goddamn dick off,” She threatened.
He cut down harshly at her head, she rolled away and bounced up, he whipped around the look at her, but she already had her hand on his forehead and the light was making his thoughts mush.
“Hail-” He started, then his eyes cleared and he jerked back away from her, senses blinded. “STEVE- GAH WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME!”
She picked up her blade and winced. “I corrected your nerves, should bring back a memory or two, gotta hurt like a bitch though.”
He saw it in flashes, a war, a boy, pain. Bucky was thrown into the driver's seat of his mind, he gasped and clutched his head on the ground. “GOD DAMNIT!”
Amanda frowned. “Winter-”
“STOP IT!” She rested her hand on his forehead and gasped, she pulled her hand back and he stopped yelling, instead he looked at her with broken eyes. “What have I done?”
Amanda’s eyes widened and she began to walk towards him. “Hurry I can help-”
His eyes glazed over and he lunged for her, she groaned in frustration getting tired of this. Before he could really do anything, she had jumped up and roundhouse kicked him.
The third encounter was much less brutal than the last.
It came almost a year later.
He was in a coffee shop, hunched over a table, Amanda was curled up on a couch with a mug. On her lap was a computer, subtly going through hidden files and such. She glanced around her until her eyes landed on his gray pullover hoodie.
As if he felt her eyes on him, he turned and looked at the gaping woman. She had on a pair of black leggings and a casual white hoodie. Bucky raised an eyebrow and raised his black mug.
Immediately she stood straight up and robotically walked over to him, laptop under her arm and tea in hand. “What are you doing here?” She hissed. “You-know-what is donezo my guy, give it up.”
He cracked a grin and analyzed her. “Not with them anymore.”
She raised an eyebrow and pulled a chair out across from him. “Oh? I heard about the whole debacle with the Avengers, totally thought you were goin’ all pew pew on ‘em.”
He shook his head. “I, uh, I should be thanking you actually, I probably would have killed them if you hadn’t done…you know.”
She nodded. “No problem.”
“Bucky,” He said, holding out his hand. “Not the other guy.”
She chuckled. “Amanda.”
The next encounter was the next week.
Then the week after that.
Then the week after that.
And so on.
Until one bleak night.
Amanda was criss-cross on her couch, a plate of pasta in front of her and a rom-com on the TV. She had just finished another HYDRA take down on the Tuesday that they usually met for dinner. He knew she would be gone, although she had said to still come, yet not one text from Bucky. This didn’t worry her, he was old and grouchy at times.
She had just looked at her phone hoping to hear from him when a sharp ring came from the porch.
“Coming!” She called, standing up and wiping her mouth. She opened the door and immediately lunged forward with a knife practically appearing from her sleeve sneering at the blonde haired man. He blinked in surprise and stumbled back. But before she could kabab Captain America’s skull, an arm was coiled around her waist and she was lifted into the air.
“Easy Doll,” Bucky grumbled in her ear, setting her down.
She ripped herself away from his touch. “What the fuck is Stars and Stripes doing in my home?”
Amanda finally turned to Bucky and instantly dropped the attitude, he was beaten bloody, his arm was in the hands of another Avenger who was staring at her like she had two heads. “Listen, I’m sorry there was an issue and I didn’t know where else to go,” He gripped her forearm firmly, she exhaled sharply and screwed her eyes shut. “Please.”
“Fuck- fine,” She stepped away and pointed at him with a grim expression. “Show them to the back bedroom, you can take the one next to mine. And you two!” She looked at Falcon and Captain America. “Anyone asks, you were never here.”
They nodded quickly, she jerked her head towards the house and walked in. “First aid kit?” The blonde asked.
“Bathroom mirror, handle all that at the table” She told him before looking at Bucky. “Have y'all eaten?”
He shook his head, she whipped out three bowls and filled them with soup. “I’m sorry.”
Amanda sighed, not looking at him. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” He tried to tell her.
She scoffed and walked a bowl over to the other one. “Anything to drink?”
The captain came over to him. “He could use a shot of jack daniels for these stitches.”
Bucky came over and set the liquor bottle beside him. “Here.”
Amanda filled a large bowl with water and got a few clean rags. “C’mere Buck, arm time.”
The man sighed and sat a few feet away from the other two, Amanda got out a set of pliers and gestured for his shirt to come off. “Sleep or anesthetic?”
“Neither,” He told her.
She scowled and prepared the tools. “Gonna hurt like bitch.”
The Falcon spoke up. “Drugs don’t work on super soldiers.”
“Yeah well I don’t use normal drugs, Flyboy,” She told him.
He snorted. “It’s Sam, Sam Wilson.”
“Amanda Rae,” She told him, wiping down Bucky’s shoulder.
Sam quietly swore for a while until the Captain was done fixing him up, while Bucky was staring into the wall not moving. Amanda carefully and skillfully moved the plates into their places and fixed up his arm. Everything she couldn’t fix with metal tools she would mend with her mind.
At the end Bucky stood and stretched. “Thank you, Mandy.”
She flicked him on the forehead. “Go get clothes for your friends, Metal Boy.”
He rolled his eyes and moved to the hallway leaving her with the other two. The silence was comfortable before the Captain cleared his throat.
“Thank you,” He said, she didn’t look up from her toolbox, just hummed. “For fixing up Bucky, and helping him, I truly appreciate it.”
“Mmhm,” She acknowledged throwing away a few rags. “Need one of these?”
He looked down at his injuries. “Yes please, thank you ma’am.”
She nodded and tossed him a warm cloth. “Stitches?”
His eyebrows furrowed. “What?”
She finally looked up at him with an amused smirk. “Do you need stitches?”
“Oh,” He shook his head. “Probably a bandage or two but I should be okay.”
“I can help with that,” She told him, walking over.
Quickly he shook his head. “No ma’am I should be-” His train of thought hit a hard break and his brain froze in place as she loosely grabbed his hand. He weakly croaked. “Ma’am?”
Amanda chuckled and a glowing light came from her palm, Steve watched in awe as his nerve ends healed and every small bruise and scrape faded away. After a few seconds she stopped and looked him over.
“Buck should have fresh clothes in the second room to the left,” She told him, stepping back. “You can sleep in the same room as Wilson or the couch. I don't care. And don’t worry I have cameras everywhere out here, they’ll wake you up if there’s anyone in the area.”
He opened his mouth up and down like a fish. “What?”
A low chuckle came from the doorway, Bucky was leaning with a smirk. “Break him Mandy?”
“Oh you know,” She hummed while walking down the hall. “Wake me if someone is dying.”
After she was gone, Steve looked at Bucky for a long while. “You’ve been busy.”
“I suppose.”
It was silent for a heartbeat. “Who is she?”
“She’s like me,” He sighed, resting his elbows on the counter and carding a hand through his hair. “Ex HYDRA experiment, only she got lucky and I was stuck as a weapon.”
Steve licked his dry lips. “She can heal?”
“I don’t press,” He admitted. “But from what I’ve been able to understand, her family was HYDRA legacy and set her up for sale, one of the tesseract trials. They tried to change her DNA with some sort of infection but she adapted and made it her weapon. Advanced strength, speed, intelligence, the whole deal. Then the nerve control thing.”
“And she’s out of the game?”
Bucky nodded then tilted her head back and forth. “She’s been beating HYDRA down until nearly nothing.”
Steve rested his hand on his friend’s shoulder. “She’s a good person Buck.”
“I know.”

love that Vaggie had ZERO fucking idea how much of Adam and Lute's brain space she was apparently taking up
legit she has NO thought of herself being important enough for them to have noticed. meanwhile, Adam, Lute, and the other Exorcists were just like
Vaggie: "Yeah, I'm pretty sure my old coworkers won't recognize me."
Adam: (instantly recognizing her) "ITS ON SIGHT BITCH ITS ON SIGHT!!!"
Lute: "SIR I AGREE BUT THERE ARE WITNESSES!!!!!!!"
-
Vaggie: (answers door and comes face-to-face with them) "Charlie's not here. Leave a message after I slam the door on you."
